The jurors had one thing on their mind, voting against Donald Trump for president. Nothing else mattered. Welcome to La La Land, a place so weird there are no adjectives to describe it. We are inclined to say, like so many other Americans today, that America has become a third world nation. But that would not be fair to third world nations. America has become something far worse than a corrupt backward jungle country.

Number one, yesterday's historic conviction of a former U.S. president. And number two, the rapid pace that the United States and NATO nations are galloping this summer towards a nuclear war with Russia. We should start with the most dire and ominous story, war but most of the american public isn't thinking about it therefore we will start with the conviction of former president donald trump several tv news networks yesterday had digital counters on the tv screen tallying the rapidly rapidly mounting numbers of guilty verdicts that were coming from the courtroom i had never seen anything like it in my lifetime let's watch

Starting point is 00:02:54 how nbc news reporter laura jarrett raced to keep pace with guilty verdicts yesterday afternoon. Okay, here we go. We have our verdict, Savannah. Here we go. Count one. Starting point is 00:04:52 on the screen also. It was very surreal yesterday. I wasn't watching this. Yeah, and toward the end of the count there, you could hear there was enough cheering that could be picked up on her mic. The people in the street were starting to understand what was happening. Well, according to the New York Post, Donald Trump is getting back straight to work, warns Biden to buckle up as he hits the campaign trail after a not not after a guilty verdict but 34 guilty verdicts uh the Washington I mean excuse me New York Post said Donald Trump plans to

Starting point is 00:05:35 immediately return to work on Friday a day after becoming the first ex-president ever convicted of felony criminal charges while warning president biden to buckle up now that he can focus on the campaign trail the post said the former president age 77 is scheduled to speak at 11 a.m friday that just happened at trump tower in mid hand midtown manhattan where he's expected to again rip up what he called a rigged disgraceful trial that ended thursday with him convicted of 34 felonies over hush money payments now it goes on to say his campaign also had a warning for his 2024 rival crooked joe biden this is the quote crooked joe biden and the democrats confined president trump

Starting point is 00:06:19 to a courtroom for more than eight hours a day for more than six weeks and he's still winning end of quote trump campaign spokeswoman caroline levitt said in a statement to fox news quote now that he's fully back on the campaign trial biden and the democrats better buckle up end of quote um now new york uh Now, New York businessman, grocery store mogul, and also a broadcaster. He bought WABC Radio. I realize I interviewed John Castameda years ago. I never put the two together. It's been a number of years ago. somewhere around 2010, I interviewed him concerning the grocery business.

Starting point is 00:07:11 Oh, yes. You did do that. I did. I remember listening to that. When I interviewed him, I didn't know he was a billionaire. I didn't know that. I just thought he owned a grocery store.

Starting point is 00:07:20 All right. But we called him and he was very open to coming on the program. But he bought wabc radio and brought the am station back to life and he actually hosts his own program right okay but on this one he appeared uh on his radio station with uh who was who's the i can't recall the ladies co-host it's not on my notes not on my notes but anyhow it was his show though it was his show so it's his radio station and he was talking about that he was with president trump last night right so president trump had a meeting with donors. All this is surreal to me. You just got convicted 34 times

Starting point is 00:08:08 and you go out to dinner with mega donors. The show goes on. Anyhow, we broke this interview up into three soundbites with John Castamides talking about his dinner with President Trump last night. He was in very high spirits. His son, Eric, was with him. And he went around the table. And these 15 people are top, top, top people.

Starting point is 00:08:39 This is not the A-list, not the A-list. It was the triple A-list, not the A-list, it was the triple A-list. And he wanted to discuss what was happening and he wanted to discuss solutions. And it was a very, very great evening and he was in high spirits. And everybody in that room believes that if there's not a change in Washington, that it could be the end of the free world. You know, it's interesting, John, because he said earlier today that November 5th is the most important day in the history of our country. He resonated that it sounds like obviously tonight, too.

Starting point is 00:09:28 He does believe the stakes are that high. OK, Rita Crosby, the host of the show in this next soundbite, Mr. Castamides talks about possible vice presidential running maids with Mr. Trump, assuming that he is nominated at the Republican convention in July. Let's listen to see who he suggests might get the VP job. Who had more votes? I mean, I would say the top selections were Tim Smith and Doug Burgum. Yeah, Tim Scott and Doug Burgum, yeah. Yeah, and Mike Pompeo and that lady. Nikki Haley.

Starting point is 00:10:24 Nikki Haley. Nikki Haley, and a lot of people picked Nikki Haley, and a lot of people said, see, I'm using things in abstract, so we don't attribute anything to any particular person. A lot of people said, I hate Nikki Haley, but John Kennedy hated Lyndon Baines Johnson. And he got elected because he picked Lyndon Baines Johnson.

Starting point is 00:10:53 And a lot of people said to Trump, we don't like Nikki Haley, but she might make the difference. I'll give you one remark that I made uh the one remark I made was uh the fact that uh not only did she pick the vice president yes John F Kennedy chose Lyndon B Johnson and was elected but he was also assassinated right so think about that Mr Trump before you pick nikki haley so according to mr castameda's the top vote getters for vice president this was a me this was a s a very select group what did you say 15 people donors 15 mega donors at the top of the top of the top okay 15. the top choices for vice president were tim scott doug bergum mike pompeo and then surprisingly nikki haley with people saying they didn't like nikki haley but she may have to be on the ticket just to help mr trump uh one more sound bite from that he's talking about mr castameda is

Starting point is 00:12:01 talking about people that a future president trump for a second term could choose for vice president. Let's hear the names that he brought out in that interview. Pick the entire cabinet and say, this is going to be my secretary of defense. This is going to be my secretary of state. This is going to be my secretary of commerce. Then everybody. You're running as a team. The other thing I was very vocal about, and maybe out of the 15 people, maybe I was, I guess the WABC has taught me how to be more vocal.

Starting point is 00:12:43 We didn't give the names. What he was saying is he would recommend to President Trump that he just go ahead and name his cabinet now. Right. And everybody goes out and campaigns, which is actually a very good idea. Yeah, I'm surprised someone hasn't done that before.

Starting point is 00:12:54 I am too. They usually make the deals during the campaign. But go ahead and nominate to people and get them out there campaigning. Now the voters know, hey, if I elect this person, here are the people that I'm going to get. This is who the country is going to get.

Starting point is 00:13:09 Very good idea. Now, okay, so I want to share my thoughts about what happened and I got to do it very carefully because I myself am a candidate and anything I say can be used against me in a court in the court of public opinion court of law on social media but I want to talk freely um from my heart about what i think happened now first of all i want to be absolutely certain do you all understand this i am 100 convinced it was the most unfair court case probably in Probably in the history of America. The verdicts were done before the case ever started. Yes. There was no doubt about what was going to happen. There's no point in me going through all of the points of corruption in this case.

Starting point is 00:14:20 They couldn't even name the laws that he broke. Right. Couldn't define it. The judge wouldn't even put the instructions to the jury on paper. The judge said four out of the jury members could form unanimous consent. What? Four? On any single charge.

Starting point is 00:14:38 If four of the jurors could say guilty on any single charge. So are we saying that 34 of these verdicts only got four votes? Well, that's something they haven't made clear either. Right. What's the vote? Because the ruling that came out about the 4-4-4 vote, that if four jurors did come up with a charge on any single charge, a guilty verdict, that would be treated as unanimous.

Starting point is 00:15:08 But no one's come out with a spreadsheet or anything and said, these are the jurors that voted and how many or anything like that. That sounds like something from a comedy show. It's so illegal. The corruption is so beyond my comprehension. I don't even have words for it. So please understand that. I am completely, fully aware that it was a corrupt, rigged court case. OK, we all know that we all know it.

You have no idea what the shocking news is going to be in July. Right. If you think he's

Starting point is 00:17:47 going to walk free and then go over to the convention and pound on Biden and the Democrats, you are really naive. They've caught the grizzly. He's going to the zoo. Or they have to kill him. Or they take him to the slaughterhouse, one or the other. They're not going to let the grizzly bear roam freely anymore. So the people are talking about, well, his lawyers are going to appeal. Okay. You can appeal while you're in prison. That happens all the time. Yes.

Starting point is 00:18:20 Convicted felons in prison appeal their cases. I've heard people say, well well it's going to be taken to the supreme court no it's not it's a state issue it's not even a state issue it's a district issue it's not even a city issue it's the manhattan bureau it's a part of New York City. There's no federal jurisdiction. The Supreme Court is not going to take up the issue. What are they going to do with it?
