Force base.
Rick Walz and I have plenty to share with you on this Friday, April 19th edition of
True News.
Joining me right now is Rick Walz.
Good morning, Rick, or good afternoon, depending on where you're at in the world today.
Doc, it's afternoon.
I'm here at my home, and I've had better days physically.
I'm recovering.
I picked up another respiratory infection at a convention.
Something about conventions with thousands of people from around the world and my body don't
mix well doc uh but i'm feeling i'm feeling better i'm going to let you take the lead on
most of it i'm going to save my voice for um commentary and analysis so let's start with this
early morning israeli attack on on an Iranian Air Force base.
That's right.
So this is Fox News reporting this.
Israel strikes site in Iran in retaliation for weekend assault.
This was expected.
We'd been kind of watching for this.
What we are looking at now is the strength of that attack.
We have this also from the Jerusalem Post today, that Israel strikes Iran, and defense officials confirm that information. Long-distance aircraft
fired missiles that struck Iranian Air Force assets in Isfahan in central Iran early Friday
morning, the Jerusalem Post has confirmed. Meanwhile, two Israeli defense officials and
three Iranian officials confirmed to the New York Times that Israel was involved.
The report came shortly after local sources had reported explosions in Isfahan and central Iran.
Now, the U.S. has already come out and made it very clear that they were not involved in this latest strike.
Anthony Blinken, our Secretary of State, says the U.S. was not
involved in the Iranian strike, and the United States has been involved in any offensive activity
against Iran and has not been involved, and is seeking to de-escalate tensions between the
Islamic Republic and Israel. That's coming from Anthony Blinken, as you see on the screen,
speaking to reporters in Italy at a press conference on the sidelines of the most recent G7 meeting. The United States has not been involved in any offensive
operations, he said after he was asked about the Israeli strike against Iranian Air Force assets
at Isfahan in central Iran early Friday morning. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani clarified
for reporters in a separate press conference that the U.S. was informed at the last moment that the attack would take place.
Tajani stressed, as Blinken had, that Washington was not involved.
We have this portion of that press conference where Blinken spoke on the matter. On the first question, the reports that you've seen, I'm not going to speak to that except to say that the United States has not been involved in any offensive operations.
What we're focused on, what the G7 is focused on, and again, it's reflected in our statement and in our conversation, is our work to de-escalate tensions, to de-escalate from any potential conflict.
You saw Israel on the receiving end of an unprecedented attack.
To continue on with this story, Rick, at this point in time,
we see that Israel has made their response now, although it appears to be subdued.
Is that your prognosis of this as well?
Oh, it's very subdued, and members of Mr. Netanyahu's cabinet are furious that it was very subdued.
The infamous Ben Gavar, the guy that beats up Palestinian people, the man who wants to kill Palestinian children,
you know, he's their homeland security minister. He tweeted on X Today that
he used in Hebrew a word that means lame, weak. This guy's in the cabinet, and he's
dissing his boss to Netanyahu. Very angry that Netanyahu basically gave Iran a slap on the wrist.
Now, as we walk through these headlines, I'm going to show you what I believe has happened and what is about to happen.
There's a sequence of things that you and I need to look at, and you'll get the bigger picture.
So let's go get the bigger picture.
So let's go to the next headline.
And after we see five or six of these headlines, I'll tell you what I think happened and where we're going. So the next one, Times of Israel, Iran says no retaliation planned as both sides seek distance from Isfahan attack.
So, Doc, just days ago, Iran was saying, if you just in the slightest way touch us, we
will destroy Israel.
But now their Air Force base got attacked, and they're like, oh, well, we have other things to do.
It's Friday.
We'll talk about this later.
I am of the opinion that things get worked out in advance.
Well, and that seems to be the case, even in this situation, right? Yeah. So what I mean is I believe one country, I don't know which country, United States, maybe an Arab country, informed the Iranians there's going to be an attack.
It's going to be a particular Air Force base.
Get your people out of there and
then keep your mouth shut. And don't retaliate. That's what I think happened.
Or if you do retaliate, here's how you retaliate.
Yeah. So each side, they just go back and forth. But this is what I said several weeks ago. This is going to continue back and forth, back and forth, maybe for another month or two.
At some point, there's going to be an all-out fight between Iran and Israel.
So let's go to the next article.
And let's put it up on the screen okay there's uh there's our old
what do i call this guy i mean this guy he's well he's a piece of work isn't he yes well he's not
right you know if right means conservative this guy that's not he's not right he's he's he's as
wrong as you can be bingavar hencear hints strike in Iran as weak, disappointing.
This is what I mentioned to you a moment ago.
He posted this on Twitter.
So he's furious.
And others in the Netanyahu coalition are angry.
They expected bloodshed. They wanted to see an Israeli attack on Iran bigger than the
Iranian attack on Israel last week. And they can't believe that the only thing that happened is that
a couple missiles were fired at an Air Force base. So, Doc, what would explain Netanyahu, of all people, becoming a peacenik?
All right.
So, by the way, I found a video.
I've never seen this video before until a couple of days ago of Ben-Gavar beating up a Palestinian man.
This video is disgusting. When you see it,
that's him in the white. That's him right there. Watch what they do to this
Palestinian man. They surround him, and then
the gang of Zionists begin to beat him up.
All right, Ben-Gavar, this is the man who is in
charge of all the police agencies in Israel.
Yeah, and that's him in the white right there.
That's right.
So all you Zionists, you Christian Zionists, that's what you support.
That's the trash you support.
They go around and they rough up, they beat up, they humiliate the Palestinians.
And none of this is ever shown on CNN or Fox News.
But that goes on every day in the great state of Israel.
Expanding on your thoughts of the pre-planned aspects of these conflicts and everything, both sides gain a lot of traction
out of extending this conflict out as long as possible.
I mean, they generate sympathy for both sides.
They also generate revenue for both sides by extending this out as long as possible.
Now we're in the rhetoric war once again. We've shot
missiles at each other, and now it's time to do the rhetoric again, isn't it? It is. If you look
at Iran, you know, the government, they're a bunch of blow guts. They talk big. You know,
they beat their chest. They pull their hair out.
They always talk about what they're going to do to Israel.
But they never do anything.
The Israelis, on the other hand, really want to destroy Iran.
The Iranians only talk about destroying Israel. You know, they finance various operations like Hezbollah and, you know, different groups.
But the Iranians don't want to really go to war with Israel. I think they're afraid of war.
The Israelis are not afraid of war. Netanyahu, he has dreams at night about war
I mean that's
He lives for war
He lives to kill
And so
He's constantly trying to get the Iranians
To come out and fight
You know a week or two ago
When they attacked Israel
I thought well this is it
They finally got the Iranians to attack. And I was expecting
a ferocious Israeli attack on Iran. And it was a slap on the wrist.
Well, now that Netanyahu has managed a subdued response to Iran. What will this mean for him in his position in Israel? It's
already teetering right now at this point. So what happens from this point? Will he lose the support
of what they call the far right in Israel? Or what will happen from this point, Rick, do you think?
Oh, he'll fight another day. He'll find another group of people to kill.
Don't underestimate Beebe. There are babies somewhere that have to die.
Well, there's only one other place where they can put their attention. That's back on Gaza.
That's right. So let's walk through these articles, and I'll show you what I think happened. All right. What's up next? There we go. So this is from RT, and you see the
headline there, Iran warns Israel that it knows where its nukes are hidden. A senior officer of
the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has warned that Tehran is capable of striking Israeli nuclear
facilities if its own are hit, according to local media.
We have this quote from the article that Israeli nuclear compounds are identified
and the necessary information about all the targets is at our disposal to respond.
That's coming from IRGC Brigadier General Ahmad Haq Talab, as quoted by Tasman,
a semi-official news agency associated with the regiment,
we have a hand on the trigger to launch powerful missiles and destroy those targets.
Now, the Israeli nuclear compounds are identified, and the necessary information about all the
targets is at our disposal, he said.
We have a hand on the trigger to launch powerful missiles and destroy those targets.
Now, once again, we're in the rhetoric side of the war.
Once again, how much of this is true and how much of it is, I ran really to follow through
on it.
You know, like you said, they're blowing hard on saying we have our hand on the trigger.
But is it in their best interest to pull the trigger, Rick?
Well, Doc, that article was dated yesterday.
And the weak retaliation strike came today.
There's a link between those two articles.
I believe the Iranians were dead serious about striking Damona and all of the underground bunkers and silos of the Israeli ICBMs loaded with nuclear warheads.
I believe they were dead serious about it.
And I believe some frantic calls were made last night from the State Department, from NATO, from various Western
sources of power telling Netanyahu, don't do it.
Don't do it.
This will be an all out nuclear war.
Don't do it.

I want our audience to comprehend how close we came to nuclear war last night.
War in the Middle East, not here in the United States, war in the Middle East, nuclear war in the Middle East.
That's how close we came up until last night. So my theory is that, and I'll give credit to Mr. Blinken, our Secretary of State.
Again, I have no knowledge of it.
I'm just speculating.
I believe he intervened and cut a deal that Iran would allow Israel to attack an Air Force base this morning and Iran would not retaliate.
That's the deal.
That's what I believe happened.
Ever since the Iranian attack on Israel, there have been negotiations taking place to prevent an all-out war.
One condition that I believe Netanyahu demanded
was that the United States would veto this resolution
to admit the Palestinians as members of the United Nations.
Who's toiling to close the border of Texas?
Who's toiling to reduce the inflation in this country?
I don't see these people doing anything for the American people.
These people go to Washington to take care of other countries.
Right.
And we pay for it.
