General Ryder made this comment to ABC News when questioned about the information. And this was made public earlier. The information was made public earlier by Robert Wood, deputy U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. So we've got a video clip of the ABC News report last night. Let's watch it. Also a breaking headline tonight involving Russia.

The Pentagon just confirming reports that Russia likely launched what's called a counter space weapon capable of attacking and possibly destroying U.S. satellites. It's now in the same orbit as a U.S. government satellite. So let's get right to ABC's Martha Raddatz on what this means. Martha, what have you learned? David, this has been a significant concern for the Pentagon. It was last Thursday that Russia launched this satellite into low Earth orbit, a satellite that the Pentagon does believe is capable of attacking other satellites in low Earth orbit. While there's no indication that Russia plans on attacking other satellites, and it is not the first time Russia has done this, when asked if the Russian counter space weapon posed a threat to U.S. satellites, a Pentagon spokesman said it's a counter space weapon in the same orbit

as a U.S. government satellite. The deputy U.S. ambassador to the U.N. is calling this launch troubling. What I'd like to know, Doc, is what is the U.S. satellite that's in the same orbit? That they're so worried about right now. Yeah, I mean, it's not the NOAA weather satellite. It's not a satellite that's transmitting PBS television radio programming. Right. What is it? Which military or intelligence satellite is the Russian satellite tracking in orbit? Maybe it's the one sitting over Moscow watching President Putin brush his teeth every morning.

That may be it. That's very perceptive. So, we're very close. Folks, we're very close. Folks, we're very close to space war, where the Russians are getting dangerously close to begin the process of eliminating satellites in space. We've been talking about this all year. Space wars. Space war, all year.

There's been these reports. Russia has a space weapon. A few months ago, it was basically a almost on the conspiracy theory level. One congressman said, I can't tell you what I know, but you

need to know it. Then it started showing up in Pentagon briefings. And then it was like, hey, these guys are taking this thing seriously in Russia. Of course, none of this matters if you don't believe that there's outer space. Why would you even be concerned about it? Why would you prepare? Well, the next story. Well, then there are people who don't believe that nuclear weapons exist.

It just goes on and on and on. I've had people say, well, Rick, I don't even believe nuclear weapons exist. I think it's made up. Okay, you just keep believing it. RT, this came out last night. Russia launches tactical nuclear drills. Troops of Russia's southern military district launched the first stage of recently announced tactical nuclear drills on Tuesday, said the Russian Defense Ministry. So what do we have here?

We have Russian nuclear war drills. And we have the Pentagon saying Russia just launched a satellite weapon. Yes, and now they're doing tactical nuclear drills. These two things are not unrelated. You first take out critical satellites, then you launch a nuclear war. Doc, it's very troubling. These are things happening that we should not ignore. We're ignoring these things at our own peril.

I've told you before, and the book is right over there, The Russian spy in 1999 told me, Rick, the Russians aren't going to wake up one day and just say, hey, let's nuke America. He said, there will be a series of things that will happen, and you will see the signs. You will know you've got a period of time. It's coming. You will see things falling in place. So when I see stuff like this, tactical nuclear war drill, announcement that Russia has satellite weapons in space. Okay, I know where this is going. The Russians are setting in motion the things necessary for a nuclear war. And it's coming dangerously fast, folks. You've got to take this very seriously. Most of all all spiritually. The RT article says, when announcing the drills a week previously, the defense ministry of Russia said, now listen to this, the Russian defense ministry said the exercise is designed to serve as a deterrent amid continued escalation between Russia and the West. It says a deterrent.

A deterrent to our side. Yes. Yes. It's like you pointing a double-barrel shotgun at somebody approaching you in a threatening way. That's a deterrent. You haven't pulled the trigger. But you've been practicing with it. You've been practicing it, and you're letting them know

I'm capable of pulling the trigger. The article says, it will involve delivery of nuclear weapons to troops from storage sites, arming tactical nuclear missiles, and preparation of missile launches. I don't know. Do we have the video?

I know not that video. Okay, we don't have the video. The military put out a video of the war drills. So the Russians are saying, hey, we're doing these nuclear war drills because of the provocations from the West. Well, what do these provocations look like? Well, take a look at this next article. I had a difficult time finding any source for this article. I saw it on a Russian, I saw it mentioned in a Russian news site.

So I thought, well, I should be able to find the article in an American press. I couldn't find it anywhere, Doc. I found it on an Arab website. U.S. lawmakers asked government to allow Kiev, Ukraine, the use of U.S. weapons inside Russia. Could this be one of the provocations that the Russians say is compelling us to test our nuclear arsenal? If it wasn't, it'd be a great plot for a movie. Unbelievable what is happening, folks. It's unbelievable.

And what are the biggest stories in America? Stormy Daniels. Yeah. And so countless hours of news talk radio today will be devoted to garbage. Yes. Talking and analyzing about meaningless stuff. And people will spend hours listening to Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity and just go down the list of them. And none of it means anything.

In the meantime, we're very close to nuclear war. And nobody's telling the American people life could end at any moment. It could end this week. I can just imagine as a kid, we only had three channels to choose from anyway, but TV, still edge black and white and color, receiving a report, what would be more important, watching American bands stand or hearing about Russian troops, Russian sailors off the coast of Cuba. Well, I can tell you, because I was old enough to remember, Doc, they preempted all programming. That's right.

They preempted. The only thing the American people were talking about for that week in October 1962 was nuclear war with the Soviet Union. Right. But you could have a nuclear war and people wouldn't stop watching their trashy television yes they'd want the kardashians opinion on the war well the this is the story that you have to search uh foreign news sources to find it so doc i'll let you lead on this one well the, the United States Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, received a letter signed by several bipartisan U.S. lawmakers

demanding the approval for the Ukrainian use of U.S.-supplied long-range weapons to strike deep into Russian territory. The letter said, We write in our capacity as members of the U.S. House of Representatives to convey our strong support of several urgent requests on behalf of our Ukrainian colleagues, The letter, written by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Michael Turner and others, it goes on to say the letter further claimed that the U.S.'s aversion to allowing Ukraine to strike Russian territory was obstructing Ukraine's ability to confront Russian forces in Kharkiv.

They also demanded that the Defense Department train more Ukrainian pilots on how to operate the F-16 fighter jets. There are about three or four questions that pop up from these quotes here, Rick. So the neocons aren't letting up. No, they're not. You've got Congressman Mike Turner leading the way with this letter. I want to get a copy of this letter and see who signed it, how many congressmen signed it, demanding that Ukraine be given permission to use U.S. weapons, particularly missiles, to strike targets inside Russia. Are you wondering why the Russians are having nuclear war drills today?

When they hear stories like this? One day, it's not going to be a drill. It's going to go live. It's going to go hot. And baby, it's going to be hot. And this country is going to be incinerated. And if there are any survivors, they're going to wail and weep over their refusal to deal with this before the war. If there are any survivors, they're going to say, why didn't we stop it?
