I'm Rick Wiles. This is True News for Thursday, September 4, or September 5, 2024. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's news by examining this CBS News report about the Department of Justice action. And you'll see here the headline, CBS News, U.S. says Russia funded media company that paid right-wing influencers millions for videos. We're going to spend probably the first half of today's True News in this story. This is huge.

Right. This work was late yesterday afternoon. Kind of caught, I know it caught me off guard. I don't know if it caught you off guard or not. Of course, yeah. I saw it, I don't know, comprehensive law enforcement actions against conservative podcasters. And I thought, oh, here we go. Right. All right. If the feds are right, then the Department of Justice is affirming what I have been saying for years.

Now, listen to me, because some of you are going to get all worked up about this, I have been saying for years that some of the most popular podcasters in America, and I will take it one step further, some of the biggest Christian ministries in America are financed with foreign money. I have been saying it for years. And not just Russia money, but foreign money. We'll get into that here in just a few minutes. They're not even going to touch that area, but I have. I've touched it for years.

So, if you're going to go after the Russian money financing podcasts and TV shows, you've got to go after the Israeli money. Maybe there's Turkish money. Who knows how many other countries? We know there's Chinese money. Oh, there's big money. There knows how many other countries? We know there's Chinese money. Oh, there's big money. There's

Chinese money in the media. Okay? So, we're going to look into this today, and this is CBS News. An indictment unsealed in the Southern District of New York,

charged, is this Kostentin and Kalashnikov, both based in Moscow with conspiracy to launder money and conspiracy to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act. The indictment came as the Justice Department unveiled sprawling allegations accusing the Russian government of meddling in the 2024 election. Now, I've got to say that when I first heard this story break, I thought, here we go again. They're going to throw Russia collusion charges here once again. Russia trying to influence the 2024 election.

Just making up the accusations like they did in 2016. But there appears to be some meat on this button. I want to give you the, just because I kind of jumped into this too soon. With CBS, the way they opened up their report. Two Russian nationals working for a news network controlled by Vladimir Putin's government funneled millions of dollars to an American media company that paid right-wing influencers for videos pushing narratives favorable to the Kremlin, U.S. prosecutors alleged on Wednesday. There are two issues here that we're going to have to deal with. And we'll deal with this over the next 15, 20, maybe 30 minutes of this podcast. Number one, did Russia secretly finance certain conservative podcasters?

All right. That's a legitimate question. I agree. It's a very legitimate question, as is just as legitimate. Has Israel funded media in the United States? Has China financed media in the United States? Let's get it all out on the table. Right.

Just don't pick on Russia. If we're going to do this, let's put it all out there. Number two, the other issue that we've got to consider here is, is this going to have such a chilling effect on free speech? Yes. That podcasters, influencers, will be afraid to speak their honest opinions for fear that they will be accused or suspected of being financed by a foreign government. Pretty simple. I oppose the war. You know, I oppose the policy I oppose the policy

that we're waging the West is waging in Ukraine but I haven't received a dime from Moscow and wouldn't receive it wouldn't accept it it's my honest opinion but is this going to have an influence

on podcasters on influencers on commentators, where they're afraid to say what they really believe because somebody's going to say, oh, I bet you're getting money. You see the effect this is having? Right. And now you have to question just about every podcaster out there of any significant influence

because now you have to ask the question, why are they being allowed to continue? There you go, Doc. That's been my question. Look, we got deplatformed back, I don't know, 2019, 2020. We were taken off. We've been deplatformed so many times. We got the season ticket for being deplatformed. We were in the front row of deplatforming.

We got booted from YouTube. We got booted from Facebook. Everybody booted us. Yeah, we got kicked out. And so I've asked myself for several years, how are these other people allowed to continue on YouTube and Facebook and other social media platforms, and they don't get, they don't attract the attention. They're allowed to flourish, and yet they're considered, you know, right-wing or conservative

or anything. Is it that they just haven't said certain words? Or do they have protection? Do they have money? What is it? To me, there's only two conclusions. They either are protected or they're bug lights. Bug lights, okay. By what I mean by that, it attracts people that can be tracked.

Yes. Yes, and I have believed that for quite some time. That certain people are bug lights. When we get deeper into this, some of these podcasters have millions of followers, millions of followers, and they've said some pretty radical things, but they're allowed to just go on. But the government can be collecting the information about the people who are liking them, following them. That's right. The one reason I've been very suspicious for several years, more than several years, is because I know how expensive it is to have a full-time media operation, even at the podcasting level, you're still a very small player. Because the big networks, they have production budgets of a billion dollars a year.

Easily, yes. CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, each of them a billion dollars a year. So we know how much it costs to produce a video podcast. And most of these are video-based podcasts. But the supporting organization that you need, the employees, the equipment, the facilities, all that. The distribution. It adds up into millions of dollars per year. Yes.

We know this. We are supported by donations. And I know how difficult it is to raise donations. It's not easy. And I look at some of these podcasters and I think, how are you getting the money for this? Where is it coming from? I mean, just take one component alone, bandwidth. Internet bandwidth can run in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, even for a smaller organization like us.

That's right. So how is it that these bigger players who can say just about anything they want to are millions of followers, and they don't have these financial pressures and who are they getting that much in advertising revenue right that's the part i've been very concerned about let's jump into the uh we have a cbs story and then there's uh there's an mbc story also we have some responses from some of the podcasters so well the gist

of the story is this from CBS the two defendants that they're charging with this work for RT Russia Today it's a media outlet formerly known as Russia Today that's funded and controlled by the Russian government so is the BBC by the way so is NPR by the way

federal prosecutors said RT oversaw a series and controlled by the Russian government. So is the BBC, by the way. So is NPR, by the way. Federal prosecutors said RT oversaw a series of covert projects that included funneling $10 million through a series of shell entities to a Tennessee-based company launched in 2023 that publishes videos on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and X, formerly known as Twitter. Before we go to the next slide there, all government-funded media outlets do this. Of course.

We do it. We finance Radio Free Europe, Radio Free Asia, other outlets, other influence. Yeah. So our government does it too. Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Yeah. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

France 24. So we do the very same thing. But, you know, let's follow along with the script here and see where it takes us. Many of the videos published by U.S. Company One, and we'll tell you who that is in just a moment, contain commentary on events and issues in the U.S. such as immigration, inflation, and other topics related to domestic and foreign policy. Sounds like true news on an average day.

While the views expressed in the videos are not uniform, the subject matter and content of the videos are often consistent with the government of Russia's interest in amplifying U.S. domestic divisions in order to weaken U.S. opposition to core government of Russia interests, such as its ongoing war in Ukraine. Okay, let's keep this on the screen here. And this is CBS News. So they're saying that these podcasters that were financed by Russia, allegedly,

that their content, and they cover these things, immigration, inflation, Ukraine war, are consistent with the policies, the views of the Russians, and are weakening the United States' opposition to Russian policies. So does that mean if you read Russia Today, if you read Russian news sites, does that mean that you are a Russian dupe? Because you know what, Doc, you've worked here with me for 10 years i read a lot of websites every day yes and i mean speed read okay yeah it's hard to keep up with you i mean it really really is i i i rapid scan the major american websites i read the British. I read the Israeli websites. I do the Russian websites. Thank you, Google. You translate them into English. I look at various Chinese websites. I go around the world. That's how I put this program together. And you know what?

Despite what I may look like, I'm smart enough to know that when I'm at RT, that's financed by the Russian government. Yes. And when I'm at BBC, I'm smart enough to know that's the British government. And when I'm at France 24, I'm smart enough to know that what I'm reading is the French government viewpoint. And that goes the same for Al Jazeera, Middle East Eye. That goes the same for Herat, Times of Israel. Of course. All of it. They're all influenced. a variety of news sources every day to try to put together in my little feeble mind

a reasonable understanding of what is happening in the world today and where are we going. And to find that scintilla of truth within each of those different outlets. So does that mean that I am a stooge of a foreign government because I read foreign publications? Well, it depends on who our government doesn't like at the time. See, that's what worries me about this. Again, there's two things I'm very concerned about here, Doc. Number one, were American podcasters financed by a foreign government? And that's a legitimate question. That is legitimate. It's very troubling. But number two, is this going to have a chilling effect on free speech?

Are we going into a dark age where you will put blinders on and say, I won't read anything other than what's approved by the government. That's scary. Because I'm not going to be a government news presenter. I've got other things to do. If this program has to become, over the next year or two, a government news program, then I don't need to do it. Well, you know, back in the years following World War II, you know, the major TV and radio networks, they had someone on staff that, you know, basically enforced the fairness doctrine on political views for decades before that was rescinded.

And then, you know, political talk really opened up in the 80s when that went away. But for years, we had really political censors on staff in major networks. We did. America, free, you know, home of the brave and the free. I've got to find a video. I saw it two or three years ago um if you if you're my age or older you you remember the name red skelton yes famous comedian uh had a uh very popular uh television show on tv in the 50s, 60s. Okay.

I saw an interview. He was at a college campus in his retirement days, speaking to a group of college students, and he was being interviewed by a college student. And so I'm going to assume this was maybe the mid-70s. And he said to the student, you're aware, right, that CBS was formed for government propaganda. And the student didn't know what he was talking about. I had never heard it. But this is Red Skelton who had one of the highest rated shows on CBS.

And he said to a student, you are aware, certainly, right, that CBS television, CBS radio was created for propaganda? So, Doc, that means people in Hollywood, people in the entertainment industry knew the purpose of the television networks and the radio networks in the 30s and 40s. Radio came, you know, in the 30s and late 20s and the 30s. Television really started in the late 40s, took off in the 50s. We'll find that video. Yeah, I think we've aired it once before. Let's stop pretending that government propaganda isn't in the news. Our job is to pick through the propaganda

and try to find truth. Okay, so we're all big boys and big girls and we know that there's propaganda out there. But it's something else to say that a foreign government financed a news organization. And that's very troubling. Now, I'd like for the U.S.

to tell us that they're not secretly financing influencers in other countries. Right. Does the CIA pay, secretly pay money to social media influencers in other countries? Come clean. We know the truth already.

All right. So let's go. So the next one, this one's troubling also. Fortune magazine. U.S. seizes Russian propaganda websites linked to 2024 election meddling. Doc, the U.S. government took control of 32 websites yesterday. They seized their internet domains, their dot coms. That's scary.

Yes. That means you don't own your domain. Well, you coms. That's scary. That means you don't own your domain. Well, you never did. You never did. You're being allowed to use it. And when the government wants to take it away from you, it's very easy. Yes. should be very concerned about that headline, that the U.S. government seized 32 Internet domains yesterday because the government did not like the news that was on those websites. Where are we right now, Doc?

This is a twilight zone. So let's take a look. So we have some responses. Yeah, well, let's the first one. Let's talk about probably the biggest name that was on this list. Right. It was Dave Rubin. Yeah.

So the Rubin Report. The conservative Dave Rubin. I was shocked when I saw this one. This guy's got a very popular podcast. Yes. And he is swept up in this one. This guy's got a very popular podcast. And he is swept up in this matter. Now, he is claiming, and we have to take him at his word, that he knew nothing about the Russian money. But there's some things in here that says he wanted more money, like $5 million a year. All right.

So just that information indicates that Mr. Rubin required certain amounts of money to do certain things. Right. Now, the company that's being accused of getting the funneled money from RT is a group out of Nashville called Tenant Media, and several major podcasters are part of Tenant Media. And as the DOJ indictments started rolling out yesterday, these various high-profile, basically conservative podcasters started reacting to it. The first is Dave Rubin. Here's his response on X yesterday.

His response on the DOJ allegations. I'm going to read the statement here. These allegations clearly show that I and other commentators were the victims of the scheme. I knew absolutely nothing about any of this fraudulent activity, period. that I and other commentators were the victims of the scheme. I knew absolutely nothing about any of this fraudulent activity, period. People of the Internet was a silly show covering viral videos, which ended four months ago. The DOJ has never contacted me regarding this matter.

I have no intention to comment further. Now, we'll go through several of these before we see what the real story is behind it. He may not plan to comment publicly about it, but he's going to end up commenting to FBI agents. That's right. So another high-profile conservative podcaster, Benny Johnson. A lot of you are familiar with Benny Johnson. This is his profile. He's associated with Turning Point USA, of course, but a very high-profile commentator and podcaster, followed by millions. So, is this now implicating Turning Point USA?

Of course it is. Now, he also responded on X as well. He said a statement on the leaked DOJ indictment today, a year ago, a media startup pitched my company to provide content as an independent contractor. Our lawyers negotiated a standard arm's length deal, which was later terminated. We are disturbed by the allegations in today's indictment, which make clear that myself and other influencers were victims in this alleged scheme. My lawyers will handle anyone who states or suggests otherwise. Another high-profile podcaster caught up in this, Tim Poole. A lot of you watch the Timcast out there. This is his profile on YouTube. Look at that, 1.37 million

subscribers, over 3,000 videos. He also had a statement on X, and we'll just do the quotes only, gentlemen, in control. My statement regarding allegations and the DOJ indictment, should these allegations prove true, I, as well as the other personalities and commentators, were deceived and are victims. I cannot speak for anyone else at the company as to what they do or what they are instructed. The Culture War podcast was licensed by Tenet Media. It existed well before any license agreement with Tenet and will continue to exist after any such agreement expires. The only change with the agreement was that the location of the live broadcast moved to

Tenet's YouTube channel. I and TCW, Cultural War Podcast, never produced any content for Tenet Media. Now, he goes on to say, never at any point did anyone other than I have full editorial control of the show, and the contents of the show are often apolitical. Examples include discussing spirituality, dating, and video games. The show is produced entirely, in its entirety, by our local team without input from anyone external to our company. TCW is a separate company, not associated with TimCast.com or other properties. It exists solely for the production of the Culture War podcast. That being said, we still do not know what is true, as these are only allegations.

Well, they're beyond allegations now. The show is in... Excuse me. He says this. Putin is a scumbag and has had a whole bunch of negative things to say here. Let's just skip over this. Anyway, so another high-profile podcaster, Taylor Hanson.

He had a statement on X as well. These allegations come as a complete shock to me and the other hosts at Tenet Media. I want to be as clear as possible. I was never directed to report on any topic and had complete freedom and control over my reporting at all times. I would never agree to any arrangement where I'm not the sole person in charge of the stories I cover and content I create. Okay, so all these guys are denying that they knowingly participated in Russian disinformation. But they're all saying they were deceived. They're all saying, but obviously there was money.

Yes, and that's another component of the story we're just about ready to get into here so let's not just a little bit of money either so mbc news russian money was funneled to right-wing creators through a pro-trump media outlet oh doc this is serious and this is way beyond anything that happened in 2016. Right. Because back then, it was just allegations. Right. They could just make the accusation, and the media just lapped it up.

But there is a money trail here this time. Yes. Go ahead. is a money trail here this time. Yes. So this story here says, employees of the Russian-backed media network RT funded and directed a scheme that sent millions of dollars to a prominent right-wing commentators through a media company

that appears to match the description of Tenet Media, based in Tennessee, a leading platform for pro-Trump voices. That's according to an NBC News review. The indictment on Wednesday of two RT employees, Konstantin Kalashnikov and Elena Afanasyeva, includes allegations that the duo implemented a nearly $10 million plan to fund an unnamed Tennessee-based company as one of their covert projects

to influence American politics by posting videos to TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube. Now, the company's description matches that of Tenet Media, according to a review by NBC News. Prosecutors said the website of Company One describes itself as a network of heterodox commentators that focus on Western political and cultural issues. That's the exact language that's used on the Tenet website, by the way. And they're based in Tennessee. Right. So Tenet has partnered with six commentators, names you all recognize, Lauren Southern, Tim Poole, Taylor Hanson, Matt Christensen, Dave Rubin, and Benny Johnson.

The indictment itself refers to six commentators who are not named. Details include in the indictment match those of two of Tenet's personalities, Rubin and Poole. Now, as of Wednesday, Rubin's Rubin Report YouTube channel had 2.44 million subscribers. The indictment refers to commentator one as having over 2.4 million YouTube subscribers. So they're matching it up here. A person with over 1.3 million YouTube subscribers is referred to as Commentator 2. Poole has now 1.37 million subscribers. The indictment also refers to three other commentators, including one with female pronouns,

but lacked any information that could directly identify their channel. Now, this is where it gets very interesting here. It is unclear from the indictment the extent to which each of the commentators realized where the money was coming from, though it stated that commentator one and commentator two were unaware they were being paid by Russian efforts and had been deceived about the source of the funding. So that was in the indictment itself. Yes. So what level of money are we talking about? And that's in the next statement from NBC News.

Get ready. It found that $8.7 million was eventually sent to the production companies of Commentator 1, Commentator 2, and Commentator 3 alone. And those are? Dave Rubin, Tim Pool, and whoever Commentator 3 is. We don't necessarily know who that is for sure. But among those three, they received nearly $9 million in production assistance. But $9 million is a assistance. Assistance, yes. But $9 million is a lot of money.

Right. And you don't know where it's coming from? Right. The payments allegedly made up 90% of the deposits made to the company's account between October 2023 and August 2024. Now, folks, Rick and I have been on this merry-go-round for a number of years. We know how much it costs to produce standard audio podcasts, video podcasts. It takes a lot of money. But we generally know where that money's coming from. Yes. So what it appears here, Doc, is that Tenet, 90% of the money that went into the bank account of Tenet in Tennessee came from Russia. That's what it appears. And then that

money was split up with American podcasters. I can understand that these guys are saying, we had no idea it was Russian. I get get it i understand it but the money was flowing there definitely was money coming in and then the rest of this from nbc news it says uh the company that would become tenant media registered in nashville Nashville, and registered agents, Donovan and Tam. Donovan is a producer, and neither of them are named in the indictment. Which is interesting in itself. Well, now look at where their background comes from. Right.

So Tam is known as Lauren Chin. She's a video creator for The Blaze and a contributor to Turning Point USA. Now you've got The Blaze and Turning Point wrapped up in this mess. She's also listed on RT's website as a contributor. Now online, Chin has praised Russian President Vladimir Putin and criticized U.S. support for Ukraine. Public record show Donovan is married to Lauren Tam, which is also reflected in the public profiles of Chin. So they've used a stage name basically to put themselves out there. Now, it's interesting that neither of these are mentioned in the indictment.

But Tenet Media is. But they're not. All right, the next one is, is, I think it's incriminating. So let's read this one, Doc. So the indictment includes allegations that some tenant commentators drove a hard bargain. In one exchange, company officials and internal communications said that commentator one, likely Dave Rubin, said it would need to be closer to $5 million yearly for him to be interested. $5 million annually for him to be interested in what? In, I guess, playing ball.

Right. Now, commentator two, likely Tim Poole, said it would take $100,000 per week per episode to make it worth his while. $100,000 per weekly episode for a podcast. Once a week, folks. Seriously? $100,000 to make a podcast? One podcast. Doc, we're being cheated. I know.

Where's that Russian money at? Now, that led to one of the company's founders to allegedly say that it would be very hard for the company to recoup the cost based on ad revenue from web traffic or sponsors alone, but they decided to move forward anyway. Now, Dave Rubin, he's a self-described libertarian, was an early creator of what's called the intellectual dark web, a right-wing online counterculture movement. His YouTube show, The Rubin Report, has promoted fringe and extremist voices, as NBC News saying this. His more recent content is decidedly conservative, and as he announced on Twitter, he registered as a Republican in 22. Rubin is also a vocal critic of Ukraine, arguing it can't win the war against Russia. Last year he called Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell

a sellout for wearing a tie with Ukraine's blue and yellow collars. But he drove a hard bargain. Five million dollars. Five million dollars. That's what gay conservatives are getting paid nowadays, Rick. Five million dollars. That's just from one source. Who's gay?

I don't know. Dave Rubin. Oh, I don't know. I don't follow any of this stuff. Him and his partner bought a baby last year. They bought a baby? Isn't that illegal? They can't make a baby.

They had to buy one. I don't know. I don't have time. I don't watch podcasters. I don't have time. It's good you don't. It's really good. I don't have time.

You don't have to clutter your mind. Whatever I say, I came up with it all by myself. But, I mean, if these allegations are true, and it appears to be more than allegations, and you have to ask yourself the timing of Garland and the Department of Justice, why now? It's

likely they've had this story for who knows how long. They're dropping the September bomb and getting ready for maybe an October surprise. Which means that there may be something bigger coming against Donald Trump, something much bigger that will make even his strongest supporters gasp

and go, oh no. But one thing is, I think, certain here. A number of high profile so-called conservative gay conservative and other conservative podcasters are being picked off these guys may not recover in other words it the the biden administration and the Biden Kamala Harris administration, it is there's a hunting season right now. Right. OK.

People in the media who don't conform to the narrative are being taken out. Right. We've seen the Telegram owner arrested. We're seeing calls for Elon Musk to be arrested. Or at least X taken down out of countries. Yes. So it is a very dangerous time. Alex Jones is practically finished. I mean, he's bankrupt.

It's just a matter of days, weeks, months until a federal trustee padlocks his studio, sells off his assets. I don't see how he gets beyond this. I don't see how he could ever. They've got bankruptcy judgments on him. It's just a matter of time until they sell off the assets. And you say, well, he'll just go start something else. No, they'll put liens on it. Yes. Ask Jim Baker. He legally doesn't own anything.

Right. Because the moment he owns something, there are liens on it. So that's the world that we're that we're in right now on a positive note. And I think this this next person I'm going to talk about is probably the the number one target to be taken down after this. This most recent action. I'm talking about Tucker Carlson. So here's another NBC report. Tucker Carlson kicks off cross-country tour in Phoenix with prayer and Russell Brand.

Russell Brand apparently has been saved. He's baptized. I have no reason to doubt it. Everything I've seen from him seems to be confirming that he's had a genuine encounter with Jesus Christ. Have you heard his prayer that he prayed at the Carlson rally? So NBC News said right-wing personality Tucker Carlson kicked off his live tour wednesday night in arizona to a packed arena but instead of delivering his usual fiery political rhetoric carlson focused opening night of his 16 date tour on his faith and mentioned donald trump by name only a handful of times joining him on stage was a barefoot Russell Brand,

who recently converted to Christianity. Together, Carlson and Brand mostly delivered a Bible sermon surrounding their shared Christian identity. Something is happening, Doc. That if we can name a favorite candidate, it was, it used to be Joe Biden, but now he is not participating in the election campaign, and he recommended all his allies to support Ms. Harris. So that is what we are going to do. So it was – well, he said that we should. That is why we should also do that.

Well, her laugh, she's laughing, her laugh is so fascinating. It means that everything is good, and if everything is good. He likes her laugh, Rick. It's an infectious laugh. I guess there's no big news story there. No, it's not. Liz Cheney's daughter is now a Kamala Harris supporter. John McCain's son has endorsed Kamala Harris. And so we're seeing a trend of moderate to liberal Republicans, although Liz Cheney was never considered a liberal Republican. She was very strong against Donald Trump. And she's not changing.

She's not backing down. So John McCain's son has endorsed Kamala Harris. Now, if I could add something to that real quick, Rick. The reason why he has said that he's endorsing Kamala Harris over Trump is over this whole Arlington Cemetery thing, right? Yes. That Donald Trump politicized his visit and the invitation he received from Gold Star families to appear at Arlington, which the Bidens and the Harris's did not respond to. But Donald Trump did, came to Arlington and appeared. There was a shoving match at the cemetery. There were people from the military, the photographers,

who tried to push out the Trump photographers, saying you're not allowed to photograph anything. Well, there wasn't even really official Trump photographers there. Most of the images that we see of Trump came from people's personal cell phones. Really? Yeah. But the whole argument, though, for McCain's son, well, he's politicizing Arlington Cemetery. I'd like to remind him that his father did the same thing, if that's your argument, because he also politicized Arlington Cemetery. And this is from back when he was running for president in 99 and 2000.

Oh, what do you have? Yeah, let's watch this video. This is number 18 for Control. John McCain, dragged off by an angry mob, when found to be the son and grandson of admirals, was offered early release. He refused. McCain's commitment to country and fellow prisoners bought him repeated beatings and five and a half years in prison.

He returned home, spirit unbroken, again devoting himself to his country. Navy officer, congressman, senator, taking on the establishment and defying special interests. USA Today, historian who accurately predicted nine of the last ten presidential elections, has made his 2024 choice. And I'll just tell you right now, Professor Alan Lichtman is now officially predicting Kamala Harris will win the election. Now, obviously, he's not clairvoyant. He's basing this on his own formula. But his formula has worked nine out of the last 10 presidential elections. That's a pretty strong track record. Let's take a look at the keys. The keys include,

this is what he bases it on. The keys include the White House Party gained House seats during the midterm elections. The sitting president is running for reelection. The White House Party is avoiding a primary contest. There is a third party challenger. The short term economy is strong. The long term economy growth has been as good as the last two terms. The White House party has made major changes to national policy. There is sustained social unrest during the term. The White House

is untainted by scandal. The incumbent party is charismatic. The challenger is uncharismatic. The incumbent is charismatic. The White House party has major failure in foreign policy the white house party has foreign policy success he said eight of those keys are now in favor of harris and three in favor of trump and for those reasons he's saying that he is on record that kamala har Harris will win the election. So... A person who has not received a single vote. That's true. But, Doc, I'm just going by...

On September 18, Donald Trump will stand in front of a New York judge and be sentenced for the 34 felonies that he was convicted of. Right. What he did today was his lawyers asked a federal appeals court to order the New York judge to delay the sentencing.

They didn't say cancel the sentencing. Just delay it. Just delay it until after the election. Kick the can down the road past November. There is still the possibility that in 13 days, Donald Trump is going to be in a federal prison you think things are crazy now what election if he is in prison what election are we having if he goes to prison September 18 what election are we having? And we're going to accuse Nicolas Maduro of rigging the election in Venezuela? Right.

but there are some days where the lesson just hits so yesterday just happened to be one of those. And so that was in Chapter 21. So if you didn't if you weren't here yesterday, I encourage you to go back and listen to the Wednesday edition of Morning Manna. All these chapters that we're dealing with right now, 21, 22 and 23 right now are preparing us for the chapters 24 and 25 you really a lot of people focus on chapters 24 and 25 but they miss it because they don't have the context that uh that we have from chapters 21 through 23 so this is all building together into one

longer narrative and i think that's where some of the air of dispensationalism comes in later on in chapters 24 and 25 is because they don't really dig into 21 through 23 and so you're in the right spot today uh as we finish up 21 and get into 22 today so if you got your bibles let's open up to chapter 21 and we're going to begin reading at verse number 42 and complete the chapter here. Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the Scriptures? The stone which the builders rejected, the same has become the head of the corner. This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you.

Now this is a very important passage, very important verse, folks. Therefore say I unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation, bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken, but on whosoever it shall shall fall it will grind him to powder verse 45 another important verse here when the chief priests and

Pharisees had heard his parables they perceived that he spake of them but when they sought to lay hands on him they feared the multitude because they took him for a prophet and once again verse 46 harkens back to the beginning of chapter 21 talking about authority once again so there's

a whole lot in chapter 21 if you didn't get a chance to catch everything this week go back and listen to previous editions of morning manna all right doc you. Last sip of coffee before I start. So verse 42, Jesus said to them, did you never read in the scriptures? The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner. This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes. All right, so let's look at the setting. In verses 42 through 46, the conclusion of chapter 21, Jesus concludes his latest confrontation with the Jewish Pharisees and scribes over his authority to proclaim the gospel

and perform miracles and cleanse the temple. Previously, he cursed the fig tree when it provided him with no fruit. The next day, the disciples were astonished that the fig tree had withered and died. The cursing of the fig tree represented God's separation from Judaism, the temple, the Jewish quest for a restoration of the Davidic kingdom consisting of political, religious, military, and financial power.

Jesus entered the temple and was confronted by Pharisees and scribes who demanded to know by what authority he taught his doctrine, performed miracles, and chased the money changers out of the temple. He cornered them by responding with a counter question i also ask you one thing which you if you tell me i will tell you by what authority i do these things the baptism of john

whence was it from heaven or of men he had them in a corner that had no exit without speaking the truth. And so they responded by saying, we're not going to answer the question. Then Jesus followed up with the first of two parables about the Jewish religious rulers. The first parable featured a father and two sons. The father instructed both sons to go to work in his vineyard. The first son said no, but later repented and went. The second son said, yes sir, but never went. Well, the Pharisees and the scribes got the message. They perceived that they were the second son who pretended to be obedient, but inwardly was rebellious and disobedient. Then Jesus dropped the second parable on them. Its figures were a householder, a vineyard, tenants, fruit messengers, a householder's son.

Again, the astute Jewish rulers perceived that they were the rebellious, greedy, conniving, conspiratorial tenants who murdered the householders, messengers, and his son. So in verse 42, Jesus wraps this all together. He sums up his discourse by informing the religious rulers that he is the cornerstone. Right. Who was mentioned by King David and Prophet Isaiah. And so Jesus asked the high-minded Jewish rulers if they had ever read the holy scriptures knowing that they indeed read them many times but were unable to discern their fulfillment in front of their eyes or willing to accept it perhaps they understood that these scriptures were being fulfilled but they were too rebellious too stubborn to accept it in fact became enemies and that's what this is about

today Jesus is saying to them you're not ignorant about what you're doing you know what you're doing you're not opposing me because you're ignorant. You don't understand. You do understand. And I'm going to tell you what's going to happen to you because you do understand and you persist in opposing me. And so he quoted Psalm 118, verses 22-23. The stone which the builders refused has become the headstone of the corner. This is the Lord's doing. It is marvelous in our eyes. These religious leaders knew that both David and Isaiah spoke of a cornerstone that

would be rejected, and they knew that it had Messianic overtones. Absolutely. tones absolutely so what i quoted to you was psalm 118 that was written by david then isaiah first isaiah 8 verses 13 and 15 the lord of hosts yahweh of, is who you must respect as holy. He is the one you must fear. He is the one you must dread. He will be a sanctuary, but for both houses of Israel, he will be a stumbling stone and a rock that makes them fall. For the people of Jerusalem, he will be a trap and a snare. Many will stumble over it, fall, be broken, be snared, and be captured. Then Isaiah said in chapter 28 of Isaiah, verse 16, Therefore the Lord of hosts, the Lord Yahweh says, behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation, a stone,

a tribe stone, a precious cornerstone of a sure foundation. He who believes shall not act hastily. The stone symbolized Jesus himself offered to the Jews as the foundation of the church. But Jesus Christ was rejected by them. Yes. And despite the rejection by the builders, the builders were the religious leaders. The stone was rejected by the religious leaders, the builders. The builders were the religious leaders. The stone was rejected by the religious leaders, the builders. God chose his son as the cornerstone.

The cornerstone of his church, which he is now unveiling, bringing forth. And he's saying to Israel, your time is over. I'm done with this thing. Yes. I'm done. I'm bringing forth the church. I believe the church existed throughout the Old Testament, but it was in the form of Israel. What is now brought forth is a new entity.

And Jesus, as the cornerstone, signifies that he is the foundational stone of this new entity. Yes. This message, this is really important, folks. If you really like yesterday's message, then I hope today is just as rewarding because this concept of Jesus as the cornerstone is the cornerstone of the gospel. Yes, and it lynches together just like a cornerstone in a building helps the building stick together. Without a cornerstone, that's the plumb line. It's the measurement by which everything is measured uh this cornerstone bridges that gap between the old covenant and the new covenant too

it lynches it together you can't separate one from the other they they belong together uh but in order for like in an arch for those two sides to come together and been locked together so christ is as well that's right doc i'm gonna i'm gonna ask you to read some scriptures for us first is in uh the fourth chapter of acts okay and uh will be verses eight through twelve so what i'm going to do is uh uh give a number of scriptures in the new testament where the apostles repeatedly tell us that jesus christ is the cornerstone so acts 4 verses 8 through 12 all right so uh reading from the king james and peter filled with the holy ghost said unto them ye rulers of the people and elders of Israel, if we this day be examined of the good deed done to impotent men, by what means he is made whole, be it known unto you and to all the

people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him does this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at naught of you builders, which has become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given under men whereby we must be saved. This is the stone so this is

directly after the resurrection Peter had healed people Christ healed people through Peter the Jews are saying how is this done and And Peter says, you rulers of the people, you elders of Israel. He's speaking to the Jewish rulers in Jerusalem. This is after the resurrection. And he tells them, you rejected the cornerstone. This man was healed by the cornerstone that you rejected the man that you crucified but he's alive and then in romans chapter 9 verse 30 30 through 33 paul wrote these words to the church in rome is rome romans 9 30 through 33 all right so picking back up verse 30 of chapter 9 of Romans.

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. Does Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness? Wherefore, because they sought it not by faith but as it were by the works of the law for they stumbled at that stumbling stone as it

is written verse 33 behold i lay in zion a stumbling stone in rock of offense and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed now Now notice that Paul words this as not foundation stone, but stumbling stone. So Christ functions as both. He functions as both the cornerstone of which all of our faith is built on, but Christ is also stumbling stone by those who don't operate in faith. Doug, how many times in your Christian walk have you heard Christian Zionists refer to the city of Jerusalem as a stumbling stone? Not from Zionists. I've never heard a Zionist ever say that.

Really? I have. Oh oh you have no i've heard i've heard them say the world will the world is going to stumble over jerusalem well boy if they say that if they equate that equate that then they are definitely misquoting scripture aren't they because christ is the cornerstone not jerusalem yes but they'll say he crisis the cornerstone but they'll say that jerusalem is the stumbling stone well you you can't have it both ways like that no i know that but but that's the way they twist i haven't heard that before wow that's a new one on me so So, and then another one for us today, Ephesians chapter 2. I had that one. You got that one, 19 through 22.

This is Apostle Paul writing to the church in Ephesus, Ephesians 2, 19 through 22. And it reads here, and this is Ephesians chapter 2, 19 through 22. Now, therefore, you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God, and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom all the building fitly framed together growth up into a holy temple in the Lord in whom you also are building together for a habitation of God through the Spirit of God so Paul told us that you and I are not strangers and foreigners to the kingdom of God but we are fellow citizens and that we are built upon a foundation of the Apostles and the

prophets and they are built on the cornerstone who is Jesus Christ. Amen. This is why it's critical to understand what we're teaching today about Christ as the cornerstone. One more. 1 Peter chapter 2 verses

1. Let's see. I think 1 through all the way down to 1 through 10. Alright, so 1 Peter 2, 1 through 10? Yes. Alright, so reading from King James here, 1 Peter chapter 2, verses 1 through 10,

verse 1, Wherefore laying aside all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and envies and all evil speakingsings as newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby if so be ye have tasted that the lord is gracious verse 4 to whom coming as unto a living stone disallowed indeed of men but chosen of god and precious you Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house,

a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore, also it is contained in the Scripture, once again quoting Isaiah 28, 16, Behold, I lay in Zion, a chief cornerstone, elect, precious precious and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded unto you therefore which i believe he is precious which believe he is

precious but under them which be disobedient the stone which the builders disallowed the same is made the head of the corner and a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense even to them which stumble at the word being obedient whereunto also they were appointed but ye are a chosen generation a royal priesthood a holy nation a peculiar people that ye should show forth the praises of him

who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light, which in time past were not a people, but now are the people of God, which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. So it's important to understand that those words, you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people for God's own possession. These are the exact words spoken by Moses to the Hebrews. And Peter is now saying this to the Christians.

You are the chosen people of God, they're either extremely ignorant of the Word of God, or they are outright liars. Who is telling the truth? The Zionists or Peter? It's as simple as that. Peter said, you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. You, a member of the church. He said that we came to him, him, Jesus Christ, who was a living stone, rejected by men, but chosen by God.

You also, as living stones, you are a living stone you are a stone that is alive and you've been placed on a cornerstone that is alive yes and together we are built up this structure is a structure made of living stones this is the temple there's not going to be a temple in israel in palestine in jerusalem that's blasphemy you and i are the temple because we are living stones built on the the chief cornerstone that is a living stone. That is the new temple. And people that say there must be a third temple in Jerusalem are blasphemers. Yes. Because they're directly contradicting the word of God.

So the quote from Psalm 118 speaks of a stone rejected by builders that becomes the cornerstone. And that's a reference to a rejected element becoming crucial to the structure. That structure is the church. So the builders are the chief priests, the elders, the doctors of the law, who rejected Jesus as the cornerstone. All right, Doug, the next thing I'm going to say, this is, this has, I guess it has connotations beyond what I expected it to be. But the term rejected is borrowed from masons not freemasons but stonemasons actual masons

the people who put bricks and stones together but where did freemasonry come from the building of solomon's temple right so the term rejected comes from Masons who deem certain stones as unsuitable right but I guess in another sense it is connected to the Freemasons and the Jews who have rejected the cornerstone because they are determined to rebuild Solomon's temple. in the Christian economy of God's kingdom, Jesus is the chief cornerstone. He is absolutely crucial to the church's foundation. You can't have a church without having the cornerstone. And Christ is the cornerstone.

And any church that is built on something other than Christ, the cornerstone, is not a church of God. It's a religious structure, but it's not a church of God. It must be built on Christ, the cornerstone. So what we see in verse 42 is Jesus punctuating his parable about the vineyard husbandman killing the householder's son. And he did it by quoting Messianic prophecies about a rejected stone that eventually becomes the cornerstone and this quotation that jesus read to them was known by the the pharisees and the scribes because they had been taught and they also taught the jews that it had messianic overtones. They knew that when you talked about this rejected cornerstone, you were talking about the Messiah.

So, despite being rejected by the builders, the Jewish leaders, the stone eventually becomes accepted and honored by God and becomes the cornerstone of this new structure that replaced Israel. So by referencing this scripture, Jesus is hinting to the Jewish rulers that killing him will not be the end of his story. It will just be the beginning. Because he will be exalted by God. Jesus' rejection and crucifixion by the Jews

is essential for Christ to be resurrected to become this living stone his resurrection from the dead demonstrated his victory over death and sin yes and it provided assurance of immortality to his followers jesus is the foundation of salvation he unites jews and gentiles in a new temple he becomes the object of joy and admiration and the glory of humanity

he is the cornerstone verse 43 therefore i tell you God's kingdom will be taken away from you and will be given to a nation producing its fruit. My friend, there is no other scripture that you need other than verse 43 to understand that that thing in Palestine that calls itself Israel is a satanic imposter yes it was Jesus Christ who said it I tell you God's kingdom will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing its fruit. In verse 43, Jesus returned to the parable about the evil vineyard tenants who refused to pay the rent with the fruit of the vineyard. Beat up and killed the vineyard owner's messengers who came to collect the fruit and then eventually conspired to murder

the vineyard owner's son and steal his inheritance. These guys just heard that parable yes and they knew that jesus was telling them you guys are the evil wicked husbandmen and i know right now you are conspiring to murder me and steal my inheritance. And I'm telling you right now to your face. The kingdom of God will be taken from you. And it will be given to another nation producing its fruit. Right.

Now, to me, this scripture is pretty plain. I am pretty clear. I don't know how you can mess it up, to be honest with you. But dispensationalists believe, Rick, regarding this particular verse, this particular passage here, that that rejection was only for that generation. That that rejection had been, that was only for them, for that generation. That rejection had been, that was only for them, for that generation,

and that the stone that it was rejected, but that they would be brought back in. Israel would be brought back in. They believed that. That was only a temporary rejection there. Yes, so Darby, and then later Schofield, and all the early the early christian zionists this is where they come up with this concept of time out right god's you know you

got to say his prophetic clock it's prophetic time Yeah, this prophetic clock. You know, God looked at his watch and said, oh, it just stopped. Time out. And then they teach. And this is blasphemy what they teach. You won't hear it on religious television. But you will hear it in their seminaries. Yes. They teach that Jesus Christ failed in his mission. Yes. They teach that Jesus Christ failed in his mission.

Yes. And that when Jesus said, it's going to be taken from you, that's when God said, time out. I've got to wait. We're just going to let, we're going to put the whole plan in suspension and i'm going to go over here now because my son's getting ready to take the kingdom from the jews i gotta go i gotta call time out he he's frustrated he failed in his mission i can't let him take it from the jews i'm going to call timeout and you know a

couple thousand years may go by according demands time and I'm going to be focusing on the Gentiles right and then when the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled in other words the way they teach it when I'm done with the Gentiles I'm like oh I'll pull them out yeah I'm going to come back. I'll pull them out. Yeah, I'm going to come back to the Jews and Israel. I'm going to reset my clock. I'm going to end time out. And now I'm going to rapture these Gentiles off the earth.

And I'm going to establish Israel on earth for a thousand years. That's what they teach. Yes. And in verse 43 there, Rick, it says, Therefore I say unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you. He's talking to the chief priests, elders, and Pharisees there. Shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof now when you and i read this scripture and all of us here on morning man we read that scripture that nation there

who do we say that that nation is i'll tell you what the dispensationalists say but who do we say that that nation is to me it's obvious right it's the church right I mean to me it's it's cut and dry but dispensationalists say that that nation that's spoken about there is a future kingdom of Israel in other words the key it's being taken away from them at that time but at some future point it's going to be given to a nation they say that nation is the future restoration of israel it's going to be given are they saying that's the millennial kingdom yes they're they're that's what they're saying well they can say it but that's not what jesus meant yeah so i mean to us it's pretty obvious isn't it it's really obvious but to them they make it

complicated it just there's no other reading to this here other than that that is speaking about it's being taken from the jews and now it's being given to the rest of mankind but what did the church teach for centuries before John Nelson Darby? Before Cyrus Schofield, what did the church teach? The church taught that the kingdom was taken from the Jews and given to the Christian church. Right. There was no other doctrine until these deceivers showed up in the 1800s so the kingdom of God is the visible manifestation of God's rule on earth and And up until then, it was centered in Israel, the Jewish people.

From the time of the cross and the resurrection, the kingdom of God referred to the christian church so the phrase shall be taken from you indicates a significant shift in god's plan indicating that the jews who held a privileged position as god's chosen people would no longer retain that status right instead it would be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof implying a new group of people who would fulfill the requirements of righteousness and obedience that the jews failed to meet and we should say refuse to meet right there's one thing to fail there's another thing to refuse to do something and what gets me is when the dispensationists say that the the the the state of israel today is a fulfillment of this a nation you know but what's the rest of the verse they're bringing forth the fruits they're up bringing

forth what kind of fruits not fruit loops but fruits of repentance fruits of righteousness do we see any evidence of that in this modern so-called state of israel there there's no acceptance of righteousness or repentance but a continued rejection of the cornerstone no they they brag that tel aviv is the homosexual capital of the world right what kind of fruit is that are you telling me that god is accepting tel aviv as delicious fruit the fruit includes praise, worship, reverence, love, prayer, obedience, generosity, kindness to others. Those are the fruits that God is expecting to be given to him.

And the Jews had not produced the fruits that god desired therefore the privilege of dwelling in the kingdom of god on earth would be taken from them and given to another nation another group of people who would fulfill the requirements of righteousness in this new nation consisted of both Jews and Gentiles a Gentile is simply a non-jew and so the new nation has a new creature yes it's neither Jew or Gentile, but a new creation, a Christian. See, we're a new race. Christians don't see themselves as a member of a race. Forget about your skin color. I don't care if you're Caucasian, African, Asian. I don't care. The only thing I care about is, are you a member of the Christian race? Your skin color doesn't determine your race.

It's your acceptance and obedience to Jesus Christ that determines your race. There are only two races on the earth, saved and unsaved. Right. And I'll tell you, God is, at the end of time, God will discriminate. I assure you, he will discriminate on the final day. He separates the nation's goats and sheep he's very discriminatory he's going to choose who will come into his house and he's not going to allow goats on his property. So this new nation refers to the Christian church consisting of Gentiles and Jews.

Although it has over the centuries become predominantly made up of Gentiles because the Jews have closed their eyes and ears to the gospel. It's not that they're barred. They're not prohibited. They're not. And they're welcome, but they're too stubborn to come in. and one of the great tragedies of modern dispensationalism and christian zionism and they don't come out and put this out on billboards or put it on the front of the books or anything but they believe there's a that the jews have a separate plan of salvation and oh yes uh they they can't come out and tell you that they can't come out and tell you that. They can't come

out and say it, but that's where dispensationalism and Christian Zionism leads you. They have to say that the Jews have a separate plan of salvation, separate from the gospel and the cross of Jesus Christ. They call it a dual covenant

theology. There are two covenants, one for Jews, one for Gentiles. Yes. Again, it's blasphemy. There's only one name by which you can be saved. And that goes for Jews and Gentiles. So, this new nation will be characterized by its fruitfulness, its evidence of righteousness, which is required for admission into the kingdom. Yes.

And Jesus used a present tense, producing. Yes. Which suggests that the citizens of this kingdom are already in the process of anticipating its establishment by producing the fruits of righteousness this very hour that's a good point rick yes there are numerous scriptures in the new testament ephesians 5 galatians 5 romans 6 talking about the fruits that what god expects in a Christian church, goodness, righteousness, truth.

And so what that means to me, if I'm hearing you, and I hope we're on the same wavelength there, Jesus wasn't talking about some future kingdom two millennia ahead, but he was talking about a kingdom that was in the process of being birthed at that time yes and and producing fruit yes that's being prepared it's already producing fruit this nation is already in existence if you're looking at from Jesus perspective Jesus saying there's a nation that exists right now at this moment of time that they going to take the kingdom of God away from you. And, Doctor, you know that he used that present tense, producing, saying that the citizens of this kingdom are already producing fruit.

But that present tense was perpetual. Yes. There has always been people on earth producing fruit for Christ since the resurrection. For 2,000 years, people all over the world have produced fruit for Christ. And we are doing it today. Everywhere that there are Christians who are completely submitted to Christ and living according to His word

are producing fruit. Amen. So the kingdom of God is not a political entity it's not a national governmental entity but it is god's rule in the hearts and minds of men and women and their acceptance and obedience to the gospel message. And so Jesus said, the kingdom which you have rejected is now going to be taken from you. You have rejected the kingdom and the king.

Therefore, my father is withdrawing his promises made to you. If you want back in, you're going to have to come in under the new terms see the Jews can re-enter the kingdom of God the door is not locked from them the door God wants them to come back in but it's on his terms not theirs his term is you will bow before my son and confess jesus as lord that those are the terms and the jews say no look at what dennis prager said the other day somebody sent me a video of

him saying i i just i can't believe in jesus christ i can't believe somebody died for my sin i can't accept him right there's an example of a modern day rebellious stubborn jew who says i'm not going to believe and he's applauded and elevated for that those remarks and ex and and christians christians they ought to be weeping over his lost soul. No, instead they celebrate him on several Christian networks. Oh, look at this. We like this Jew a lot. Because he's promoting their political agenda.

Yes. And they are promoting his so the removal of a gospel from the Jews was due to their contempt their opposition their indifference and their unfruitfulness toward the gospel and the consequences of losing the gospel are severe and it impacted not only their spiritual condition but it impacted them in many many ways in a physical realm because in 70 AD it was all crushed which we're going to get to that in just a moment so the gospel is a gift from God and it brings blessings wherever it is received. And if it is consistently rejected, it will be withdrawn. And that applies to non-Jews also. Okay, verse 44.

Look at my timer. Verse 44. He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but on whomever it will fall, it will scatter him as dust. So falling on the stone represents stumbling or being offended by Jesus Christ, being offended at the name of Jesus Christ. Right. And those who stumble at Christ are at risk of injuring themselves. But as always, God always extends grace, the opportunity to repent and recover from the self-imposed injuries.

So what Jesus gives us here is an image of a heavy stone falling. Falling on an earthen vessel. There's two things. This stone will be broken to pieces. Whoever, he who falls on this stone. If you fall on the stone, you will be broken to pieces. Not the stone. you will be broken to pieces not the stone you will be broken to pieces right you have fallen on the stone the stones not moving but the vessel that falls on it is going to be it's going to be broken into hundreds

thousands of pieces but on whomever it will fall it will scatter him as dust so you got two things happening the person who falls on the stone jesus christ that person will be broken to pieces but if the stone falls on him or her they will be scattered as dust right and there's a there's two uh images of this in the old testament of course that isaiah 28 passage there you know the second part of it those who stumble on it shall be crushed but over in Daniel chapter 2 where it talks about the kingdoms of the world over time it says that a giant stone would come and crush the kingdoms of this world and that that stone and we know that stone to be christ fills up the entire world and so not only does it extend to the jews that rejected christ but the world that eventually completely rejects christ as well that's right i'm glad you

brought that up doc uh, about Daniel 2. Because that stone is going to crush the whole world. Yes. Now, Jesus is saying in verse 44, two things could happen here. If you stumble and fall on this stone, you're going to be broken to pieces but if the stone falls on you you're going to be smashed and ground into dust and scattered in the wind in the first one if you stumble on the stone jesus and you're broken to pieces there is hope of recovery yes but if the fall if the stone falls on you there is no recovery yes it's final how many testimonies are there in the world of people

who didn't come to christ until they were completely broken to pieces yes when there was nothing left to their lives they said okay I will accept this cornerstone but the But the other one, oh, that's much more ominous. If the stone falls on you, there's no chance. There's no chance for recovery, no chance for repentance, no chance for salvation. It is complete destruction. The heavy stone falling on an earthen vessel pulverizes it to powder and then the powder is blown away by the wind again it's it means complete destruction um there's a reference to um to winnowing grain that the verb means to scatter to dissolve dissolve, to reduce to dust. It's akin to scattering chaff to the wind.

Right. It means to grind a powder, to make something so small, it can't be put back together. It's only going to be blown away as dust. Yes. it can't be put back together it's only going to be blown away as dust yes that's what happens to people and entities and nations and anything that that stands against christ and his kingdom in the end they or it will be ground to dust. Amen. And it will never recover. It is complete final judgment. It's a vivid picture of the severity and the thoroughness of the consequences of rejecting Jesus Christ and his kingdom.

There are people today, this very day as we speak, who are driven with a hatred of Jesus Christ, driven with a hatred of his church, driven with a hatred of Jesus Christ, driven with a hatred of his church, driven with a hatred of his preachers, driven with a hatred of the citizens of the kingdom of God. And if they don't repent, the cornerstone is going to fall on them

and grind them to dust. Yes. When the enemies of Christ are coming against you it is a it can be demoralizing it can be a heavy heavy burden and you think will this ever end but you need to know that what you are experiencing is temporal temporary a fleeting moment of inconvenience what they're going to experience is eternal damnation. There are people who are trying to tear down the true church of God in the world. Yes. Who are at war with anybody who attempts to speak for Jesus Christ.

I don't know if we've ever seen such hatred for Jesus Christ as we're seeing now. Probably not since the days of Nero. So those who attempt to destroy Christ and His church are said to fall upon him. Not because they are in a higher position, but because their madness drives them to attack him as if he were beneath them.

But their efforts will only result in their own destruction right verse 45 when the chief priests and pharisees heard this parable they perceived that he spoke about them they got it yeah finally they understood that they were represented by the son who promised to work in a vineyard but did not follow through with action they saw themselves as depicted as the wicked husbandmen who mistreated the owner's servants and ultimately killed his son. They knew that Jesus was fingering them, telling them,

I'm talking about you, and now I'm telling you what's going to happen to you. You've rejected the cornerstone. And now the cornerstone and now the cornerstone rejects you and it will fall on you and grind you to dust yes and the cornerstone fell on jerusalem and the temple in 70 a.d and grounded to dust yes and unfortunately the people that remained there too they were grounded into dust the chief priests the elders the Pharisees that remained there they were all i know it's a gruesome thing to think of folks but it was all crushed it was because they rejected christ it was all crushed um

the romans did to jerusalem in 70 a.d what netanyahu has done to gaza this year yes there's nothing standing in Gaza. See, they're quite capable of doing depraved acts of violence against humans. Verse 46, when they sought to seize him, they feared the multitudes because they considered him to be a prophet. Rick, they were ready to kill him then. That very moment. They were going to murder him on the spot yes they weren't just laying hands on him to push him out or anything no they were laying hands on him they were going to murder him and toss his body somewhere and tell his disciples we don't know what happened to him. We think he got mugged.

But they were afraid of the people because the people considered Jesus a prophet. See, they didn't consider him the Messiah yet. They considered him a prophet. But the rulers were afraid of the people. They weren't afraid of God. They weren't afraid of God's son. They were afraid of the people. They weren't afraid of God. They weren't afraid of God's son. They were afraid of the people.

Because the people would turn on them. This one guy, hey, we don't care if he is the son of God. We don't care if he's the Messiah. We're going to murder him. And we're going to steal his inheritance. But this mob, they outnumber us. It's bad optics, we'd say in modern terms.

Yes. But they're just outnumbered. The mob would kill them okay so tomorrow we begin chapter 22 and remember tomorrow is the Lord's Supper yes that's right so please join us for that and have prepared bread and either

There are pastors out there that would be drooling at the mouth rick to have three or four hundred people getting together for a bible study every day and that's just in real time that doesn't count the people who get who come to the class later in the day and i'd love to see that number at a thousand or two thousand live each day it would be a lot of fun.
