Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm Jake, but my friends call me Moose Jaw. I'm a blacksmith, and I like to work with my hands. I watch True News, and it's apparent to me that we are in World War III, and the U.S. is very unstable. I have faith in God, but He expects us to use our brains and our hands to prepare for troubled times. There are two things we need, food and water. That's why I buy my supplies from AmericanReserves.com. American Reserves offers easy to prepare chicken and beef meals, pastas, soups and vegetables that only need boiling water. You can purchase
Starting point is 00:00:38 the world famous British Burkefield gravity fed water filters equipped with Dalton ceramic handles and other emergency supplies at AmericanReserves.com. My family's security is critical to me. Something big is coming. Procrastination could be costly. Act today before a crisis suddenly appears. Be ready. Be wise.
Starting point is 00:00:58 Go to AmericanReserves.com. Former President Donald Trump claims he threatened Vladimir Putin that he would destroy Moscow if Russia invaded Ukraine. I'm Rick Wiles. This is True News for Monday, October 21st, 2024. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's news with this report regarding Mr. Trump's alleged threat to destroy Moscow. This article is RBC Ukraine News Agency. And it says, I will strike right in the center of damn Moscow. I'm just reading what the headline says, folks. Trump talks about threats to Putin over Ukraine. So,
Starting point is 00:01:58 this kind of came out of the blue, Doc. Right. I wasn't expecting on my Monday to start out with this story. Now, allegedly this happened when Mr. Trump was in the White House, that he had a conversation with Vladimir Putin and said, if you invade Ukraine,
Starting point is 00:02:17 I will destroy Moscow. Why are you looking at me? I don't know if the story is true or not it could be maybe maybe not i i just don't know um the russians are kind of pushing it off as hey it's election time in america right all right so let's let's take a look at what this rbc news agency's reported so donald trump claimed he allegedly threatened his friend v Vladimir Putin, with a strike on Moscow if Russia invaded Ukraine. Now, according to President Trump, Putin refrained from doing so during his term as U.S. president, citing Mr. Trump's interview with The Wall Street Journal. He says, Vladimir, if you pursue Ukraine, I will hit you so hard that you won't even believe it.
Starting point is 00:03:05 I will strike right in the center of damn Moscow. That's the direct quote from Mr. Trump, supposedly. Trump described Putin as his friend and confirmed their good relationship. I said, we're friends. I don't want to do it, but I have no choice. He goes, no way. I said, way. I said, you're going to be hit so hard, and I'm going to take those
Starting point is 00:03:26 domes right off your head, because you know, he lives under the domes, Trump added. Now, according to President Trump's version, Mr. Putin allegedly responded by saying he would not invade Ukraine. It is election year. It is. Well, let's assume that he did say it. Okay. Okay? If he did say it. And we've not seen Mr. Trump deny it, and we've not seen the Kremlin deny it.
Starting point is 00:03:56 But we've never heard him say it before either. We've never heard him say it. Allegedly, this is what he told the Wall Street Journal. Now, this is a conversation he had with the Wall Street Journal. So if Donald Trump threatened, I mean, you're talking about nuking Moscow. What else would destroy Moscow? You know, a Moab? If it's not nuclear?
Starting point is 00:04:24 Did he threaten to drop a Moab on Moscow? So if he did make the threat, how do you feel about that? Is that? I mean, I know some people would say, yeah, man, that's our tough president, man. Right. He stands up to everybody. Even Vladimir Putin. Even Putin.
Starting point is 00:04:48 He'll nuke Moscow. But is that the kind of person you want in the Oval Office? I'm just asking. You know, I didn't plan this story today. This just kind of popped up today. I was like, he said what? And the other question I would have, too, is this an appropriate time to say that? Even if he did say it. Let's say he really, really did say it.
Starting point is 00:05:15 With the conditions in the world right now? Right. I mean, I know people will get upset, but is it responsible for him to say something like that? All right, here's the bottom line. We're in the fourth turning, and the turning is not going to stop. And the fourth turning ends with the mother of all wars. That's the bottom line. Doesn't really matter who's in the White House.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Doesn't matter who's in the White House. Doesn't matter who's in the Kremlin. There's going to be a mega war in the early 2030s. That's the only thing that matters. And this kind of talk is just indicative that war fever has infected world leaders. Yes. And when you talk like this, eventually you get infected world leaders. Yes. And when you talk like this, eventually you get a world war. So just keep that in mind. But it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if Donald Trump wins or Kamala Harris.
Starting point is 00:06:19 We're still headed towards a world war, and I am firmly convinced now that it's on for early 2030, 2032, 33, 34. I just know years ago the Lord told me to have my work done by 2030. when I went away to pray, he reaffirmed it, and he gave me much more clarification that this war, this war that I've been talking about for years, it's not coming today, it's not coming tomorrow, not coming in 2025, it's coming in early 2030s. But this kind of talk, when you have world leaders that are in control of nuclear weapons and they're talking like this, you're going to have a war eventually. Right. Let's see how the Kremlin reacted. This is RT. Right. Kremlin reacts to Trump's Moscow strike threat. So Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's claim that he had threatened Russian President Vladimir Putin with a strike on Moscow is attributable to U.S. election rhetoric. That's, according to Kremlin
Starting point is 00:07:30 spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. When asked by journalists to address the issue on Monday, Peskov replied that the Russian authorities stick to their very responsible stance of not making public the content of conversations that are conducted at the highest level. Unfortunately, a number of world leaders do not adhere to this position, and in this case, do not observe such information hygiene, but that is on their conscience, he stressed. Peskov noted that currently there are many different, fiery, very emotional statements being made in the U.S. as part of the election campaign, especially in this final stage.
Starting point is 00:08:08 I like that word hygiene as well there. Information hygiene. So the Russians say we don't talk like this. If we talk like this in private, we'll never say it in public. That's right. And they'll not say anything in private anymore either. That's right. Because the Americans will probably blab it.
Starting point is 00:08:30 So they are aware of how American leaders behave. Medvedev, Dmitry Medvedev, he had a response. This is Novasti News Service. Medvedev responds to Trump's threat to strike Moscow. He posted on Twitter. Yes. He said, and this is his response. He said, Trump got carried away. Did he really talk about hitting freaking Moscow? Of course not. He's generally smooth as silk in negotiations. And there's only one answer to such words. Your frickin' Washington will get hit, too.
Starting point is 00:09:07 In general, our relationship with him is quite warm. So that's why I'm, you know, reserved in it. He probably did have the conversation. I just didn't think it was appropriate for him to say it out loud. Do you feel better knowing he said it? But how do you think Putin responded? Well, according to Donald Trump, he said, no way. And Trump said, way.
Starting point is 00:09:38 That's according to Mr. Trump speaking to the Wall Street Journal. My guess is if Mr. Trump said it, Putin just stared with an expressionless face, not going to respond. In his head, he's thinking, I'll take out Washington. I'll take out Washington before you get to take out Moscow. But he's not going to say it See Donald Trump runs his mouth Putin keeps his mouth shut
Starting point is 00:10:13 You notice the difference between the two? Yes Who's the one you better watch out for? Donald Trump To be honest But Because he could say anything that might spark off Donald Trump, to be honest. But because he could say anything that might spark off the next conflict. And I know there are people who get upset about that. But there's a thing called diplomacy, especially when you've got nuclear missiles aimed at you.
Starting point is 00:10:39 It doesn't exist in our country anymore. It just doesn't exist. World leaders talking about blowing off domes on another country's capital city? Who talks like that? People who are infected with war fever.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Yeah, imagine if Vladimir Putin had said those exact words. I'm going to blow the domes off Washington. I mean, we'd be having connection fits, Rick. Well, we would also be thinking that he was not stable. A hothead. Right. Someone that really could do it.
Starting point is 00:11:24 You see what mood I'm in today. This next one is just a headline on ex-Russian oligarch and former VP of oil giant Yukos. Mysteriously died yesterday. Yukos is a big oil company. This guy, I don't know anything about him. I don't know which side of the political arena he was on in Moscow because Yukos was an anti-Putin oil company at one time. Right. In the hands of, let's say, members of the tribe. All right, that's as far as I'm going to go. And then
Starting point is 00:12:12 this goes way back in the early 2000s and Putin's forces took over Yukos. They gained control of it. So I don't know where this guy stands. But what happened to him? He mysteriously died by falling out a window. He fell out of a window.
Starting point is 00:12:30 What a mystery. According to different reports, he had cancer. So he was suffering from cancer. But he didn't die from cancer. He mysteriously died. He mysteriously died by falling out the window. Let's take a look at – Eleven stories, by the way.
Starting point is 00:12:52 That's the second person, well-known person who has died in the past week. Yes. By falling a long distance. Yes. Yonhap News. President Yoon of South Korea and NATO chief, that's the new chief of NATO, share concerns over North Korea's troop dispatch to Russia. They had phone conversations. Folks, this is intensifying.
Starting point is 00:13:21 It's worsening every week. Right. And again, these are the signs of world war. And yet, Doc, somehow I don't understand the rhythm of all this stuff, how these things can stay contained until the cycle says it has to pop at this point. Right. Okay. Which is, again, somewhere in the early 2030s. And we're six to eight years from that.
Starting point is 00:13:54 That doesn't mean there aren't things that are going to happen along the way. I mean, significant things. Very serious things are going to happen. In fact, this is part of that story there. President Yoon and the chief of NATO shared concern over North Korea's preparations to send troops to Russia for its war in Ukraine during their phone talks on Monday, the president's office said. President Yoon held the phone calls at the request of NATO Secretary General Mark Ruddy to share the latest developments in military cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow
Starting point is 00:14:25 and discuss joint responses, the office said. Now, this conversation took place after the National Intelligence Service, that's the South Korean Intelligence Service, said Friday that the North had decided to send around 12,000 troops to support Russia in the war in Ukraine, with roughly 1,500 soldiers already sent to Russia's Far East. It said that Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the reckless military alignment between Russia and North Korea once again confirmed that the security of the Indo-Pacific region and the Atlantic region are inextricably linked.
Starting point is 00:15:00 President Yoon was quoted by saying at his office, this undermines the rules-based international order. We know where President Yoon has his allegiances, threatening peace on the Korean Peninsula and globally, expressing hope to see practical countermeasures in cooperation with NATO and its member states, which means now South Korea is going to start mobilizing troops on the border with North Korea. I mean, they have some troops there now, but now you're going to see a major escalation take place. Which is why North Korea was blowing up highways. Right. And railroads. And railroads last week. Just think about that. A country blowing up its own highways and railroads. Right. For what purpose? To prevent an invasion. That's exactly right. thousand troops either to Russia or Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:16:26 I'm assuming they're going into Ukraine, unless they're going to be used and cursed. This is a major change in the war. If you lived in World War II, you know, you would have been listening to radio
Starting point is 00:16:42 and reading newspaper. They didn't have television. So you would have been listening to radio and reading newspaper. They didn't have television. So you would have been listening to radio stations, AM radio. Anybody remember AM radio? And you would have been listening to shortwave radio. And you would have heard reports about Germany moving into Poland. And Austria. Austria.
Starting point is 00:17:04 Yeah. Okay. And Austria. Austria. Yeah. Okay. And the alliance is being formed. And people in the United States said, that's a long way off. That's over there. That's their war. Yes. And then one day, they were in the war.
Starting point is 00:17:19 And that's the way it's going to be here in the USA. And the difference in this Third World War compared to the Second World War is that there was no fighting on the soil of the USA. But in the Third World War, there will be fighting on American soil. There will be weapons used on this country, and there will be foreign troops in this country you need to grasp what i'm saying you need to grasp what i'm saying you've got six years to prepare and if you would believe it there's already foreign troops on american soil chinese troops yes because joe other nations Yes, because Joe Biden, who was bought off by the Chinese, we know. I mean, the Republicans have told us, hey, we have the evidence of the money flowing to the Biden family, something like $10 million. The Bidens belong to China.
Starting point is 00:18:21 Right. What did China get in return? An open border. Right. What did China get in return? An open border. Yes. And what did they bring across the open border? PLA troops. We were told earlier this year, perhaps 10,000 Chinese men coming across per month. Per month.
Starting point is 00:18:50 Per month. Yeah. Per month. Per month. Okay. If that rate holds for a year, that's 120,000 troops that are already in the country. And nobody's doing anything about it. Nobody. Absolutely nobody's doing anything about it. I mean, I do think Donald Trump, if he goes into the White House, he is going to round them up. I do believe that. What do they think that these military-age Chinese men are doing here? Opening up Asian restaurants? They know. Dry cleaners?
Starting point is 00:19:13 No, they know why they're here. We've been sold out. Yes. The Chinese own a substantial portion of the U.S. government. Officials. Let's say officials in the U.S. government. Officials. Let's say officials in the government. People in academia, in the news media. They own them.
Starting point is 00:19:32 They've got them hooked on Chinese cocaine. I'm saying cocaine. Money. Yes. They're addicted to it. The money is coming in. And the Chinese have bought off our leaders. The Chinese have police departments in America.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Okay. Crazy. Did we ever shut them down? There's no evidence of it. Did we ever shut down the police departments in America? The Chinese police departments? No, they're still operating. Have we closed the border?
Starting point is 00:20:07 No, the Chinese soldiers are still coming over the border. You've got gangs taking over apartment buildings in America. I said way back during the years of Obama when Eric Holder was the corrupt attorney general. And they had a program called Fast and Furious. Right. And the U.S. government was moving weapons into Mexico so that the cartel, drug cartelsels would get the guns. And the American people were told when this was made public, oh, we're tracing the movement of these guns. We sent the guns to the drug cartels because now we want to trace how they come into America.
Starting point is 00:21:02 And then we're going to crack down on them. Well, why would you give them the guns in the first place? Right. Well, what I said back then was, do you all understand that Barry Sotoro, this alias, you know, his alias is Barack Obama. He's a communist. He's a revolutionary.
Starting point is 00:21:20 And he is organizing a communist takeover of America. And what he's doing is arming the drug cartels to invade America someday? They will be fully armed? Well, Doc, it's so visible now. What happened to the two billion rounds of hollow point shells that Obama bought? Where are they? They were distributed to federal agencies and to the cartels how do we know the federal agencies have them they admitted to it yes but how worries on
Starting point is 00:21:52 it yes but how do we know they have them oh now there's a great question how do we know they have them how has anybody inspected to see if two billion rounds of hollow point shells are still inside government agencies? Or did they go to Mexico? Or are they in hidden armories that invading troops will be able to go to immediately and have ammo. We don't know. All I'm telling you is your government has already sold you out. It's not that they're going to do it. They've already sold you out.
Starting point is 00:22:34 And the countdown is 2032. All right? That's the countdown. All right? This action is going to happen in the early 2030s. We will be completely ripe for takeover. And the biggest shock that's going to come to the American people is when they find out that some of their generals, some of their judges, some of their politicians are on the side of the Chinese communists. Get ready for it. What did the CIA do to Saddam Hussein?
Starting point is 00:23:12 The CIA bought off his generals. Yes. And when the U.S. invasion started, the generals didn't do anything. Because they had their money in their Swiss bank accounts. Right. So Saddam's sitting in his palace going, where's my generals? Why aren't they fighting?
Starting point is 00:23:30 And somebody had to finally tell him, hey, boss, the CIA bought them off. They flipped. They're on the other side. Same thing's happening here. They've already bought them off. Not that they're going to do it in the future. They've already bought them off. Not that they're going to do it in the future. They've already bought them off.
Starting point is 00:23:48 I'm just trying to get people ready for the mother of our wars. And it's coming. And me continuing to give you news about it, I don't know if that's helping. Let's take a look. Straight Times. Oh, straight times. Excuse me, I'll go back. Yonhap, this is the second Yonhap.
Starting point is 00:24:10 South Korean satellite captures image of North Korean troop movements to Russia. So what are the three pictures that South Korea's intelligence agency disclosed as evidence of North Korea's troop deployment to Russia was captured by a satellite that the South has been operating, a government source said Sunday. Two of the three photos were attributed to Airbus, a global satellite imagery provider. But the third was not attributed when the National Intelligence Service presented them Friday while confirming North's deployment of troops to Russia. Disclosing the satellite images, the NIS said that the North has decided to send around 12,000 troops to Russia to support its war against Ukraine and has already deployed 1,500 special forces troops. The picture appears to have been taken by a satellite equipped.
Starting point is 00:25:06 We'll go on as details about that. But the bottom line is the West is claiming evidence of the movement of North Korean troops. So it's underway, Doc. When one country is moving thousands of troops into a war zone. According to reports. According to reports. I believe it. I do.
Starting point is 00:25:28 I believe. I think it's accurate. I think Putin is, he needs all the help he can get. And South Korea has been selling weapons to Ukraine. Why is that okay? Why is it okay for South Korea to sell weapons to Ukraine. Why is that okay? Why is it okay for South Korea to sell weapons to Ukraine, but North Korea can't send troops to Russia to fight you? I mean, if you just take a neutral position, both sides are just doing the same thing. So imagine the scenario, you've got weapons supplied by South Korea given to Ukraine. Ukraine uses those South Korean weapons and North Korean soldiers deployed either in Russia or in the Russia territories of Ukraine and North Korean troops die. So is North Korea now justified to declare war or the resumption of hostilities with South Korea?
Starting point is 00:26:29 It's not. The war is still going on, North and South Korea. So imagine that scenario. That's a very real scenario now. Will the North say South Korean weapons were used to kill North Korean troops? Yes. Yes, they will. They will, Doc. That's
Starting point is 00:26:47 an absolute given. That's going to happen. Straight Times. That's not an anti-gay newspaper. It's a newspaper in Singapore. Straight Times. NATO's chief, Mark Ruta. North Korea, sending troops to Ukraine would escalate the conflict.
Starting point is 00:27:13 This is what he posted on Twitter. So, world wars are now advertised on social media. Right. So, this is from Mark Ruddy's Twitter account. So he posted this. I spoke with President Yoon about NATO's close partnership with Seoul, defense industrial cooperation, and their interconnected security of the Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific. North Korea sending troops to fight alongside Russia and Ukraine would mark a significant
Starting point is 00:27:42 escalation. So now we publish policy on X, Twitter. Well, not only that, but Chinese President Xi Jinping, he was on Twitter over the weekend talking about World War III. All right. Let's take a look at what is posted. Oh, this is video. Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:03 All right. So there's English subtitles. Doc will read the English subtitles for those of you who are listening instead of watching. Let's take a look at it. So we have President Xi Jinping in front of troops, and he's wearing a military uniform. Today, I, along with a group from the military commission, came to the military commission's joint operations center to make clear the determination and attitude of the new military commission in implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party
Starting point is 00:28:37 and to comprehensively strengthen our commitment to training and preparedness for battle. The entire military must implement the party's thoughts on strengthening the military in the new era, adhere to military strategic guidelines, and focus all efforts on combat readiness, as readiness is the only thing we can do. All work must push toward combat, accelerate the enhancement of our winning capabilities,
Starting point is 00:29:04 and resolutely defend our national sovereignty, security, and development interests, fulfilling all tasks entrusted by the party and the people. So, Doc, if you were a PLA soldier sitting there and the president of your country came wearing a PLA uniform, a uniform, and he said, all work must be directed towards combat, combat readiness. Yes. Then as a soldier, what was the message you received? We're going to war.
Starting point is 00:29:42 May not be today, may not be tomorrow, but we're going to war. We're going to war. The decision not be today. It may not be tomorrow, but we're going to war. We're going to war. The decision's already been made. That's it. The decision has already been made. Now all the various players are in war mode. They're in the war mode. They are now building their armies for war.
Starting point is 00:30:04 And they don't want to go to war until they are confident they will win the war. That's the tension that holds this thing off. Yes. See, it's ripe going bonkers right now, is that every player, China, Russia, United States, NATO, all the NATO nations, they are feverishly working to build up their militaries for this war. Yes, Japan, South Korea, Philippines. They don't want the war to happen yet
Starting point is 00:30:45 because they're not ready. And that's what's saving us from having a war right now. What is preventing us from having a war today is the fact that all these players do not think that they are ready for the war.
Starting point is 00:31:01 And I'm telling you, I'm telling you, with every ounce of my being that I believe the Holy Spirit told me weeks ago when I was in Myrtle Beach that this war will be held off until early 2030s. But for me, he reaffirmed to me the assignment he gave me in 2010, finish your work by 2030. Look, 2030 ends on December 31st, 2030. And 2031 begins the next day, January 1st. So just because you have a word from the Lord saying finish it by 2030, it doesn't mean you have a long span of time after 2030 to kick back and say,
Starting point is 00:31:59 I got to finish and ready. Because the war literally could be within days after December of 2030. I just know he told me personally, finish your work by 2030. And everything I'm seeing indicates that the nations of the earth are moving towards an early 2030 war. And I'm personally making my plans for myself, this organization, my affairs, that that war will erupt around 2032. But between 32 and 34, 35, the world is going to be in war. Right. We'll be in a warm cycle toward war for the next several years.
Starting point is 00:32:50 But then it gets hot. Right. And during that time, folks, there's not going to be any of us sitting here talking, doing a podcast about World War. That won't exist, Doc. That's not going to exist. Where are you going to do a podcast during a world war who's going to be listening to it now is the time to get ready now is the time you still have some sunshine left there's still some light left in the world before gross darkness covers the earth. Gross darkness, yes.
Starting point is 00:33:29 It's not just darkness. Gross darkness. It's gross darkness. Okay. So you still have some light. You have time to enhance your spiritual affairs, to study the Word of God, to get closer to the Lord, to lead your family, your loved ones, your friends to Christ. And you have time for physical preparations. But that time is going to evaporate rapidly. Six years will go by so fast. So six years ago was 2018 that just seems like yesterday right 2018 what were we talking about
Starting point is 00:34:09 2018 midterm elections yes donald trump had been in the white house for two we were talking about the midterm elections in america right and ramping up toward 2020 and 2020 brought us COVID. Yes. Look how fast things change. You and I went to our first World Economic Forum in 2018. Right, that's right. Again, it just seems like yesterday. 2030 will be here just like tomorrow. It'll be quick. It'll be fast.
Starting point is 00:34:43 You've got time, but not a lot of time. And I'm going to spend my remaining six years only talking to the people who hear me. That's it. Those that have ears to hear. That have ears to hear. If you're only watching me to get news and information, I don't have time for it. I'm making changes going into 2025
Starting point is 00:35:09 to talk to people who know that we are moving into a fourth turning world war, and it cannot be stopped. Let's take a look at what's going on in the Middle East. Wall Street Journal, U.S. investigates intelligence leak about Israel's plan for attacking Iran. This was a big story over the weekend. CNN leaked documents show U.S. intelligence on Israel's plan to attack Iran. So, go ahead. The U.S. is investigating a leak of highly classified U.S. intelligence about Israel's plans for retaliation against Iran. That's according to three people familiar with the matter. One of the people familiar confirmed the document's authenticity.
Starting point is 00:35:56 The leak is deeply concerning, a U.S. official told CNN. Now, these documents, dated back on October 15th and 16th, began circulating online this past Friday after being posted on Telegram by an account called the Middle East Spectator. It went on to say here in the article that they are marked top secret and have markings indicated they are meant to be seen only by the U.S. and its Five Eyes allies, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. They describe preparations Israel appears to be making for a strike against Iran. One of those documents, which says it was compiled by the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, says the plans involve Israel moving munitions around. Another document says it is sourced to the National Security Agency and outlines Israeli Air Force exercises involving air-to-surface missiles, also believed to be in preparation for a strike on Iran.
Starting point is 00:36:51 Now, CNN is not quoting directly from or showing those documents. A U.S. official said the investigation is examining who had access to the alleged Pentagon document. Any such leak would automatically trigger an investigation by the FBI alongside the Pentagon and U.S. intelligence agencies. Okay, so that investigation is taking place right now. Fox News reporting U.S. investigating release of classified documents on Israel's planned strike on Iran. And it says the United States is investigating, this is Fox, the unauthorized release of classified documents detailing Iran's planned attack against Iran, the Associated Press reported. The documents attributed to the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Agency and the NSA note that Israel was still moving military assets in place to conduct a military
Starting point is 00:37:46 strike in response to Iran's ballistic missile attack. So, and then also the House Speaker, Mr. Johnson, slams, this is New York Post, slams the leak of U.S. intel on Israel's plan to strike Iran. He said it's very concerning. And he called a closed-door, private, secret meeting of the U.S. House. Right. Okay, so when the information came out that China gave Biden $10 million, did the Speaker convene a secret, closed-door meeting of the House to talk about
Starting point is 00:38:27 treason? Not that I recall. No. Did we ever impeach Joe Biden for receiving $10 million from Communist China? Absolutely not. But when it comes to Israel, we're going to hold a special closed-door meeting. Yep, you've got it. Is that the way it works? That's the way it works. Okay, this is what he said on the CNN program State of the Union. Yeah, the leak is very concerning. There's some serious allegations being made there, investigation underway,
Starting point is 00:39:00 and I'll get a briefing on that in a couple of hours. There's a classified-level briefing and then other. But we're following it closely. Look, I talked to my friend Bibi, Prime Minister Netanyahu yesterday to encourage him. I mean, he's done an extraordinary job, I think, prosecuting that war. And if he had taken Joe Biden's advice, they'd be in a much weaker position right now. I think that the United States needs to stand unequivocally by our ally there right now. It's coming to you. And I'm really sorry about this leak. I have no idea where it comes from. I want you to know we're going to get to the bottom of this. We're going to have a special closed-door meeting to find out who did it. For me, I think there's one of three possibilities.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Number one, somebody inside the Pentagon, somebody on our side in the U.S. Department of Defense, one of the intelligence agencies, okay, the NSA somewhere in there leaked the documents. That's possibility number one. Possibility number two is Iran hacked the Pentagon. Right. That's a big story. because if that's true, then Iran is looking inside NSA and Pentagon computer systems, looking at battle plans. That would mean the Persians are saying, hey, notice we're here?
Starting point is 00:40:38 Yes. And we posted it on Telegram. The third possibility is this is all rouge. Yes, I've considered that too. And these are not legitimate plans. These are decoys. To make Iran think this is the plan. This is what Israel plans to do.
Starting point is 00:41:00 Those are the three possibilities for me. Either an inside leaker, inside the U.S. government, or an Iranian hack of U.S. computers, or... Which we can't admit to. Oh, they could never admit to. Maybe that's why they're having a closed-door meeting. I mean, the first two, an insider or a hack from Iran, would justify the closed-door meeting. So, let's assume that it's true. Let's assume that Iran is now looking at Israel's plans. And that the plans are legitimate. And they're legitimate.
Starting point is 00:41:46 Okay. So now Israel's got to readjust their plans. Lindsey Graham says, don't worry, it's coming soon. He told NBC's Meet the Press, I don't have, he, the counterattack on Iran will be very soon. He said, I don't have any direct knowledge, but I know they're serious about hitting back. I think it will be soon. I think it will be a hard hit. You know who else had a hard hit?
Starting point is 00:42:20 The state of South Carolina. Yes. They got hit hard, and Lindsey doesn't care. He only cares about Israel. He doesn't care about the people of South Carolina. Yes. They got hit hard, and Lindsey doesn't care. He only cares about Israel. He doesn't care about the people of South Carolina who are still without homes, without electricity, without food, struggling
Starting point is 00:42:35 to rebuild their lives. He doesn't care. He only cares about Israel. Yes. He is the senator from Israel. He is the senator from Israel. Ynet. IDF intercepts. This just happened today, folks. IDF intercepts largest drone attack in weeks.
Starting point is 00:42:57 Hezbollah drone swarm disrupts flights. This is over Tel Aviv airport. So obviously Hezbollah is not destroyed. Even after Israel has killed their key leaders, including the San Hazarala. But they're still operating. And so they had to shut down the Tel Aviv Airport. That's a massive airport. A lot of flights coming in to Tel Aviv.
Starting point is 00:43:24 Now look at this next one. British Airways today canceled all flights to Israel until March 2025. Doc, that's a long time. Yes. What does British Airways expect?
Starting point is 00:43:40 War. In the Middle East until next spring. They're saying, we're not flying. We're done. We're not going into Tel Aviv. And they're a major carrier into Tel Aviv. Right.
Starting point is 00:43:55 And we'll probably see other carriers follow suit here. So that means all British Airways flights out of London going to Tel Aviv have been canceled until the spring of 2025. Six months from now. What information did the executives of British Airways, what information were they given that factored into a decision like that? It's not like they said, hey, we're suspending flights for two weeks. No, we're doing it for six months.
Starting point is 00:44:24 So somebody in the British government told the executives of British Airways, it's going to be bad. It's going to be bad for months, probably until next spring. You shouldn't risk going in there. What does that do to Holy Land tourism? Well, that's in that south. That's over, isn't it? What does that do to Holy Land tourism? Well, that's in that south. That's over, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:44:58 All Holy Land tours are going to be canceled because once British Airways, that's the granddaddy of airlines. Once they make a decision, other airlines this week will start canceling flights. You'll see Lufthansa and others. Yes. So Holy Land tours are over until probably maybe the summer of 2025, if there's anything left of Israel. And I'm serious. You could see the end of the state of Israel in the next several months. That would really mess up a lot of eschatology.
Starting point is 00:45:33 Boy, that sure would. What would the rapture preachers do? Oh, they'd just move the field goal down. That's all. Netanyahu's house was attacked by a drone over the weekend. Well, maybe. The drone landed several blocks away from his house. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:45:57 It didn't attack his house? No. It landed several blocks away. And this is one of five houses that he owns around Israel. Well, that's not how I heard it. No. See, I just looked at the headlines. That's right.
Starting point is 00:46:09 I just looked at the headlines. A's to read. That, you know, they tried to kill him. And he said that. They tried to kill me. Oh, yeah. He wasn't at the house, mind you. And they tried to kill him.
Starting point is 00:46:19 Because he has five of them. Yeah, he's got five houses? Yeah, around Israel. They tried to kill him. Oh, yeah, that was the impression I got. He escaped. By the skin of his teeth. He burrowed his way underground.
Starting point is 00:46:33 You would think he was a hero, but no, it's not the case at all. Times of Israel, U.S. Defense Chief says the THAAD missile defense battery is now in place in Israel? Some reports are saying they're already active, but Secretary Lloyd Austin said that it's in place. The THAAD system is the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense System. He said that the THAAD system is in place, Austin said, speaking to reporters before he arrived in Ukraine on Monday. He declined to say whether it was operational, but added, we have the ability to put it into operation very quickly. We're on pace with expectations. The missile defense matter was sent by the U.S. to protect Israel in case of an Iranian reaction to an expected Israeli reprisal attack following Tehran firing 200 ballistic
Starting point is 00:47:22 missiles at Israel earlier this month. Austin told reporters Monday that it's hard to say exactly what Israel's strike will look like. Austin's comments came a day after two reports indicated that the TAD system was already operational on the ground in Israel. KAN reported Sunday that the missile defense battery had begun to operate in Israel, citing two Israeli sources, while the Saudi-owned Al-Arabia outlet quoted sources saying that three batteries were functioning. So it's not one, but three, according that the Israelis would want it as operational as soon as possible, because obviously their Iron Dome isn't working. Or they don't think it's going to be sufficient for what Iran is going to send to them. Yes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Bigger and badder missiles that may get through the Iron Dome. And so the U.S. is sending in their muscle to defend Israel. Which means there's U.S. troops in Israel right now that are going to defend and die for Israel. Yes. You got it, Doc. For Israel. And what do we get out of it, folks? What do we get out of it?
Starting point is 00:48:42 Grief is what we get. What's our upside? What's the gain for America? We get God's blessing. it, folks. What do we get out of it? Grief is what we get. What's our upside? What's the gain for America? We get God's blessing. Yeah, right. No, we get blood and debt. That's what we get as Americans. We get bloodshed and debt.
Starting point is 00:48:57 We spill the blood of American troops, and we go deeper in debt for Israel. That's what we get out of this. This next segment of news for the remaining minutes here is sponsored by Gold Co. And it's some financial news that I want you to hear. I want to give you the gold code number, which is 844-960-GOLD, 844-960-GOLD. There's a QR code on the screen, and there's also a website domain, truenews4gold.com. That's the numeral, number four, truenoos4gold.com. And you can go there to get information. Request your free 2025 gold and silver kit. Now, South China Morning Post,
Starting point is 00:49:56 Hong Kong airport to boost gold vault capacity to 1,000 tons at the airport, Doc. Yes. Just fly your gold in and drop it off here at the airport, Doc. Yes. Just fly your gold in and drop it off here at the Hong Kong airport. Right. Pretty convenient, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:50:12 I got to say, one thing I'll tell you, the Hong Kong airport, probably the most efficient airport I've ever flown in and out of. That airport is state-of-the-art. The only airport I think is better is the Singapore airport. That's probably the only one that's better.
Starting point is 00:50:29 And who are they competing with on gold? Singapore. Singapore. Okay. So this is what the South China Morning Post is reporting. Hong Kong's airport authority plans to expand the capacity of its gold vault. You understand, the airport has a gold vault. The airport.
Starting point is 00:50:49 From 150 tons to 1,000 tons in a bid to support the city's ambitions of becoming a global trading hub for precious metals amid fierce competition from Singapore. The authority on Monday said it was finalizing the expansion plans for the Hong Kong airport's precious metals depository as the site was already reaching full capacity due to fast growing demand. Just look at that right there.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Yes. Their vault is full. We've got to build a bigger vault. There are so many people flying gold into Hong Kong. They need a bigger vault. In comparison, a newly built site near Singapore's airport can store up to 500 tons of gold and 10,000 tons of silver. The authority has operated the depository since 2009, providing secure storage and physical settlement services to central banks, commodity exchanges, buoyant banks, precious metal refineries,
Starting point is 00:51:56 and the issuers of exchange-traded funds. I bet there's some private individuals in that list, too. Oh, I've had communication with vaults in Singapore. You know, you and I visited Singapore a few years ago, and that was one of the things on my bucket list to check out their vaults. Not that I personally have gold to store in Singapore, but I was looking information for you, for our audience. Now, you know, one time I thought it might be wise to put precious metals in foreign vaults. I'm not so sure right now. I don't know. The whole world is unstable now. Everything is unstable. So that adds credence to companies like Gold Co.
Starting point is 00:52:55 Right. You know, Texas has its own depository. They have their own vault. Right. The state of Texas built a vault. What's the message here? People are storing gold at the fastest rate we've seen in a century. Why? They're preparing for something that's coming.
Starting point is 00:53:16 Right. Everybody. See, people are stocking up. The nations are stocking up on weapons and bombs and ammo. And their central banks are stocking up on weapons and bombs and ammo. And their central banks are stocking up on gold. And people with money and in the know, people who know what's going on, are buying gold at a furious rate. So, you know, you can just ignore it and go, so what? So people with a lot of money are buying gold.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Why is that? How's that affect me? You might want to do what they're doing. You might want to imitate rich people. Find out what rich people are doing and copy them. That's right. There's some wisdom in that statement. It doesn't mean you have the same amount of money, but you can at least pattern their behavior in how they're handling their wealth.
Starting point is 00:54:13 What I didn't realize from the stories, you know, six stories tall and total square footage of 180,000 square feet. Now, to give you some idea of how big that is, our former church building was about 12,000 square feet. Three of those each floor, 30,000 square foot on each of six stories. A vault sitting at the Singapore airport holding gold. That's massive. I couldn't even comprehend our old church building having, you know, imagine it full of gold. Now you're talking three of those six stories tall. And they're just flying the stuff in and out of the Singapore airport.
Starting point is 00:55:04 Three of those per floor. Yes. And now Hong Kong is trying to catch up. The next one is, and again, if you're interested, get in touch with Gold Co. It's 844-960-GOLD. TrueNewsForGold.com. Be wise. You know, let me tell you, I'll tell you something about myself, okay?
Starting point is 00:55:38 And I still haven't forgiven myself for it, Doc. I go back to, say, 2000, I don't know, 2012, 2013, sometime like that, maybe a little bit earlier. And I spotted the stories about something called Bitcoin. Cryptocurrency. It was so new, so radical. And I'm reporting on it on True News. And I'm telling people, you should keep your eyes on this, okay? I could have bought Bitcoin for pennies.
Starting point is 00:56:15 Could have bought it for pennies. See, you get all this information. If you don't do anything with the information, what good is it? You gather in the information. And a lot of people are just information junkies but you never act on the information what good is it you might as well just be dumb and stupid and have no i just go about life not knowing anything if you don't do anything with the information you have to take the information and apply it you have to activate you have to act on the information so when you're hearing reports that cities like hong kong and singapore are building massive vaults for gold for gold because people are flying to the airports to drop off
Starting point is 00:57:00 their gold see you and i we can't even think in these terms because we don't have the kind of money. But people with lots of money are buying lots of gold. Why are they buying lots of gold? Because their advisors are telling them, looks like there's a big stinking world war coming in a couple of years. And there's going to be a new economic system.
Starting point is 00:57:24 And it's going to be gold-based system. And it's going to be gold based. One way or another. One way or the other. Fiat currency is going to die in this war. This next one is Fox News, Fox Business. Former Target executive issues dire warning
Starting point is 00:57:40 as holiday shopping season commences. So this is former Target vice Chairman Gerald Storch, and he painted a sobering picture of U.S. consumer sentiment while speaking to Fox Business. It's pretty, I don't think we're going to have time for the whole thing. If I could recommend that we play the second one. All right, let's go for it.
Starting point is 00:58:04 Let's go for number 24. Sales are out. Let's get to Cheryl with the numbers. Go ahead, Cheryl. They came in stronger than expected. Not too much stronger, up 0.4 percent. The estimate was 0.3 percent month over month. Now, ex-autos, this is a pretty strong number, up 0.5 percent. The estimate was only for a jump of 0.1 percent. And I'll give you the year-over-year numbers in just a second. That usually comes in a little bit later. I do want to give you claims really quick here. Those came in lighter than expected, 241,000.
Starting point is 00:58:34 The estimate was 260. And then we saw the continuing number basically in line, 1.867 million. But remember, this is September retail sales when you also had that huge jobs report of three hundred thirty six thousand jobs added and a stronger than expected GDP read. So I think those are two things that are going to kind of play into these numbers. But really quick, I was looking at gasoline sales. Those actually fell. Cars, parts sales were flat. It looks like we're really seeing the strength in here is actually department stores and clothing. So anyway, that's the report.
Starting point is 00:59:11 1.7% year over year. 1.7% year over year. Maria, back to you. All right. Thanks, Cheryl. Jobless claims also at $241,000 versus the estimated $260,000. Jerry, your reaction to these retail sales numbers? Well, I used to play a game with my kids
Starting point is 00:59:26 where, you know, backwards game where up is down and down is up and red is blue, whatever it is. But look, you heard it. The year over year increase in retail sales was 1.7 percent. We heard just last week CPI was up 2.4 percent. This is even more upside down than last month's report. So, you know, as a retailer, I don't care what happened month to month. Those numbers bounce around like insanity, right? One-tenth of 1% difference versus expectations in month-over-month change. That's meaningless. You know, what was last year the same month?
Starting point is 00:59:55 What is this year? Well, you know, it's bad. You know, the consumer is spending more and getting less. Look at some of these numbers year over year. Electronics and appliance stores down 4.6 percent. They spent 4.6 percent less this year on electronics and appliances than last year. Take a look at sporting goods down 3.5 percent. Department stores down 1.2 percent less than last year, not even controlling for the 2.4 percent inflation increase. Restaurants, 3.7 percent increase. That's more than inflation,
Starting point is 01:00:26 but nothing near what we saw when people came out of the pandemic and had double-digit increases. So from my point of view, I don't think this is very good. You're going to see a lot of reports saying consumers still spending, consumers still spending. Keep in mind, they're spending inflated dollars. Inflation was 2.4 percent. Retail sales grew 1 1.7 percent the consumer knows that's not a good thing yeah they feel it that's why all the surveys say the economy's tough so people are going to report it the other way you know based on a one-tenth of one percent change a month over a month but it's backwards world yeah that that's great analysis and you're right some of the big ticket items uh are all down like the electronics because people don't have the money to pony up.
Starting point is 01:01:08 I guess one question is, how does this change? I mean, what do you think it's going to take to get wages to start moving again higher and inflation to start moving lower? I mean, I know we're off of the highs, but you're still talking about prices up 20 percent in the last three and a half years. Well, you know, one of the great things about capitalism is cyclical. So eventually it will come back. Eventually we have gone low enough that people will, you know, will change. You'll start seeing, you know, interest rates come down enough that they can afford to buy these things. You know, you have to almost destroy the economy in order to get it to
Starting point is 01:01:42 come back. And that's what we're seeing happening here. That's great analysis from you, Gerald. You hear what he said there at the end, Rick? You have to destroy the economy to get it to come back. What else he said in that interview, he said the consumer spending is so tight right now that the Christmas holiday season is going to be very bleak for retail stores because people are holding on to their money. Why are they holding on to their money? Because of the inflation. Yes.
Starting point is 01:02:13 Listen, we're in, and he did talk about cycles. We're in an inflationary cycle period. I'm saying it's going to last 12 to 15 years. All right, forget about not even factoring in World War III, just on an inflationary cycle, 12 to 15 years. What is your secret weapon to overcome inflation? It's giving. It is giving.
Starting point is 01:02:42 Get involved with ministries that are preaching the gospel and leading people to Christ and proclaiming that Jesus Christ is coming back. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Morning Manna.
Starting point is 01:04:26 We are gathered here today to study the Word of God, and we are in the 25th chapter of the Gospel according to St. Matthew. And we're studying parables. I love parables. And I could just spend every day talking about the parables of Jesus Christ so today we're talking about the parable of the talents and this is found in verses 14 through 30 so let's pray invite the Holy Spirit and then doc is going to read the entire parable. And then we're going to work our way through it. Obviously, we're not going to get through all 30 verses today. It might take us two, three, four days.
Starting point is 01:05:14 I don't want to rush it. This parable is packed with wisdom and insight. And I don't want to gulp it down, you know, like a cheeseburger at a fast food. This is a meal that you need to savor every bite and enjoy it and get the most of it. So let's pray. Dear Father, Father, we thank you for this awesome, beautiful day.
Starting point is 01:05:46 And we are gathered here, Father, to be fed. And we invite your Holy Spirit to bring forth the meal that he has prepared for us today. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Welcome, everyone, to Morning Manor. We appreciate you being here today. Those of you who are with us live today uh thank you for taking time out of your schedule no matter where you are in the world all the way from russia to the philippines and every place in between uh we love having you here and so i'm reading from matthew chapter 25 verses 14 through 30 today so if you've got your bibles
Starting point is 01:06:23 read along with me i'm'm reading from the King James. For the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country who called his own servants and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one. To every man according to his several ability, and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same and made them other five talents.
Starting point is 01:06:49 Likewise, he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth and hid his Lord's money. And after a long time, the Lord of those servants cometh and reckoneth with them. and after a long time the Lord of those servants cometh and reckoneth with them and so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents saying Lord thou deliverest unto me five talents behold I have gained beside them five talents more and his Lord said unto him well done thou good and faithful servant thou has been faithful over a few things I will make the ruler over many things enter Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.
Starting point is 01:07:27 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliverest unto me two talents. Behold, I have gained two other talents besides them. The Lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant. Thou hast been faithful over a few things. I will make thee ruler over many things. Enter thou into the joy of the Lord. Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord,
Starting point is 01:07:49 I knew, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strewn. And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth. Lo, thou hast, lo, there thou hast that is thine.
Starting point is 01:08:09 The Lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I soweth not and gather where I have not strode. Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with some usury take therefore the talent from him and give it unto him which have uh ten talents for unto everyone that hath shall be given and he that have abundance but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he had and cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness there shall be weeping and gnashing
Starting point is 01:08:47 of teeth the parable of the ten talons uh is a very powerful parable for the kingdom of heaven is as a man listen to these words closely. Jesus is describing the kingdom of heaven. The kingdom of heaven is the kingdom of God on earth. The kingdom of heaven is the kingdom of God on earth between the ascension of Christ and the second coming. That's what the parables are teaching us. We don't need the parables after the second coming the parables are for now for the kingdom of heaven is
Starting point is 01:09:34 as a man traveling into a far country he's saying to us, if you want to understand the kingdom of heaven, you need to understand it as a man who traveled into a far country. Yes, the emphasis really in this parable isn't on the talents. It's on the man.
Starting point is 01:09:59 The man is the kingdom of heaven. The man travels in far country. That's the sugar stick, if you will. The parable likens the kingdom of heaven to a man who travels to a distant country. Before departing, he calls his servants, and he entrusts to their care his belongings. That's the kingdom of heaven. The man who went into a far country is Jesus Christ. The far country is heaven.
Starting point is 01:10:39 The servants are his disciples. Some Bible commentators limit it to preachers and teachers of the gospel. I believe it applies to all disciples. They are in a position of complete subjection to him, Christ. Meaning that all that they have must be dedicated to his servants. So this illustrates the relationship of stewardship where Christians are entrusted with God's resources and expected to use them wisely so the journey to a far country signifies Jesus's ascension to heaven where he is not physically present on earth and during this period again his ascension to heaven and his second coming. That's the period we're talking about. During this period, his followers are entrusted with responsibilities and resources.
Starting point is 01:11:58 During the interval before his return. So, the idea of him gone for a long time indicates that there's a delay between his ascension and his return. And we've seen this in other parables.
Starting point is 01:12:28 In the parable of the ten virgins, the bridegroom, his return was delayed. His arrival was delayed. This delay shows up in different parables. So his goods represent, well, we'll talk about that in a moment. There are key components to this parable. And I have broken up this lesson into these components. Number one, the master who distributed his goods. Number two, the master's departure.
Starting point is 01:13:09 Number three, the master's return. Number four, the profitable servants who increased the talents entrusted to them. Number five, the fearful, lazy servant who buried his talent. Number six, the punishment given to that unfaithful servant. That's what we're going to study today and tomorrow, maybe even into Wednesday. So let's begin with the master who distributed his goods. For the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country who called his own servants and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two,
Starting point is 01:13:59 and to another one, to every man according to his several ability, and straightway took his journey. Bible commentators have differences of opinion on whether the gifts, the goods, refer to material goods or spiritual gifts I think it's both yes I agree with that I think that's the case if you leave one out you've missed a major part of the of a terrible the master jesus christ gives his servants talents out of his kindness not because they deserved it or they had a rightful claim to them
Starting point is 01:15:03 second these been these gifts are not for the master's benefit, but they are for the benefit of the servants. To bring comfort, development, and ultimately, in this parable, salvation to the servants. servants and so this act of generosity reflects god's grace freely available to everyone let's talk about the goods they they represent various um i believe material things that God bestows to people, spiritual gifts, intellectual gifts, abilities. He imparts to people, according to their ability, certain gifts. Yes. And all the gifts that flow from God's providence encompass the natural abilities
Starting point is 01:16:14 of each servant. Intellectual gifts. Your intellect, your understanding, your wit, your judgment, your memory, your comprehension. These are qualities that allow individuals to excel in various areas of life there are material gifts wealth property things social status honor these are these are gifts from God there are acquired skills learning knowledge moral conduct and even though they are they require effort and acquisition by each person they're ultimately enabled by God who grants people the power to study to understand to discipline themselves I've had to myself I've had I I don't have
Starting point is 01:17:37 any I don't have any college degrees I've had to educate myself i've i've spent my entire adult life overcoming my lack of education i i could have said well rick that's the way life is you didn't go to college you didn't get a degree that's life but i i was unwilling to settle for that and so i applied myself yes i yes there are other men and women who are far more not only just educated but they have a higher iq a higher intellect able to absorb information and facts and concepts easier and faster than me and i'm at a disadvantage but i i push myself constantly push myself to catch up to learn to overcome whatever inadequacies i have and i think you've done a great job with that rick i mean you're more educated than most people with phds i'm not just saying that to be to fluff or anything like that i appreciate that doc and the reason why rick is is because you constantly seek new information new uh not just information but new knowledge
Starting point is 01:19:16 that the holy spirit leads you to whether it's the bible or technology or things like that you don't just say well i'm just going to ride this one out. You're constantly looking, Lord, what can I know about you, Lord? What can you reveal about me? And so, you know, even though you haven't had formal education, the Lord has taken you to school. Yes, and that's the point I want people to understand. Don't limit yourself by the limitations of life. Don't let somebody else define your life. Dream as big as you can dream. Reach as high as you can dream reach as high as you can reach it requires effort it requires diligence struggle um work but god sees it as your father, and he rewards it. Yes.
Starting point is 01:20:26 And there's an effort. There's something, there's an energy, an investment that has to be made in order to reproduce that in your life. And just like in the parable of the talents here. No, the guy with the five talents, he didn't just, you know, well, here you go, here's five more talents. No, it's implied that there was an effort involved, that he was a good and faithful servant in his multiplication. Yes. So God rewards your effort to increase the gifts that he's given you. He'll give you a, okay, let's just say an intellect in in understanding
Starting point is 01:21:11 he gives you a portion that he says this is your gift this is where you're starting in life but as he sees you striving and working and making an effort to increase your intellectual understanding of things he adds to the gift yes he's pleased that you're making an effort there's also the reverse when he's you know the the if you use it or lose it principle god gives people gifts and and they don't use them he may take it away from them that's something you don't want to happen So learning, knowledge, your moral code, we develop. We develop our moral code as we grow stronger in the Lord.
Starting point is 01:22:17 Gifts from God's grace that enable us to serve and minister to other people. These are gifts. You know, I know that I have the gift to teach. I don't have, I'm not, my gift to preach is not very strong. I can do it, but it's not wonderful. I am aware of that okay well I have I might have a different opinion on that so okay well I would have to say doc I'm working harder at it okay I'm working harder at it but let me give you an, and I've told you this before. Susan, my wife Susan, she's not a teacher.
Starting point is 01:23:09 She's not a preacher. She doesn't want any role in public. You can't force her out in public. Okay, you'd have better luck pulling a mule out on a stage than to get Susan to go out on stage in front of people. But you put Susan in a room full of handicapped people, either physically or mentally handicapped, and watch Susan come alive. That's a gift. I don't have that. Susan, that's a gift that she has. She doesn't have to work at it.
Starting point is 01:23:49 See, I don't have to. Well, I say I don't have to work at teaching. Yeah, I work at teaching, but it comes naturally. I have to develop it. But Susan has a gift of being gracious and kind to people who are physically or mentally impaired and with elderly people. All right. So she's very, very, you know, very sympathetic, very warm. That's a gift from God's grace. Each of you have different gifts. Gifts that I don't have, that Doc doesn't have. But these are gifts.
Starting point is 01:24:50 What this parable is teaching is your responsibility to increase those gifts. see we we tend to go through life moaning and griping that we don't have the gifts of somebody else and we don't develop the gifts that we have and it's a that's an important lesson in this parable develop the gifts that you have don't be looking at your brother and sister and say well how come you have these gifts well that brother or sister is responsible for those gifts you're not you're responsible for the gifts that god gave you and i don't think there's anything more frustrating than watching someone trying to operate in a gift or a talent that they absolutely have no calling or anointing in. I mean, as a bystander watching it happen, it's frustrating because you'll try to maybe even tell them, brother, sister, maybe your gift lies elsewhere. But it's hard for people to give that up, especially if they're convinced that they have a calling or anointing in one particular area.
Starting point is 01:25:49 Right. At least try. Yes. We get out of our lane. Yes. And we get into somebody else's lane. And God's trying to keep us in our lane. You just traveled this road and developed your skills and your abilities. And here's the thing. You're not limited throughout your life to only the gifts that God gave you at birth.
Starting point is 01:26:16 I believe God bestows gifts throughout your life. Yes. I mean, not every problem that you encounter is a nail you know not every solution requires a hammer requires different tools at different times in your life sometimes you need a hammer sometimes you need a screwdriver sometimes you need pliers sometimes you need all three but doesn't mean that every time well i've got a got a hammer, and that's the only tool I'm going to use from here on out. Right. So, you know, there are just some gifts that God has not given us, and, you know, I love music. I wish I had a voice like Frank Sinatra. I wish I could lead an orchestra like Andre Rieu, but he didn't give me those abilities.
Starting point is 01:27:08 He's given me specific abilities and that's what I'm responsible for. And you're responsible for your abilities, the gifts that he's given you. And that's what we're going to learn in this parable, that we are held accountable for the development and the use and the application of the gifts bestowed to us from God. You're not responsible for your brother or sister and how they use their gifts. And they're not responsible for you. You are responsible for yourself. So let's look at his method. The parable uses the word talent.
Starting point is 01:27:55 It indicates quantity, not quality. It signifies some special capacity or ability. Unto one, he gave five talents, to another, two, to another, one. To each according to his several ability. We would say abilities. See, God gave the one servant five talents. He gave the next servant two talents. And he gave the next servant one talent. And all three received according to their abilities yes ability is something entirely
Starting point is 01:28:53 separate from the talents yes the talents were given according to the ability inability the question of measurement does not come in that's a question of fitness out of his goods his properties his gifts he gave in this parable all of us at at times ask god why don't i have more why don't i have more of what i have and the lord's answer to us is because i don't think you can handle more okay that's your father talking to you yes okay he knows you he loves you and he gives you according to what he believes you can handle he's not going to overload you because that would be harmful to you. The goods were not given to the servants as an outright gift, but they were given as a
Starting point is 01:30:34 trust, stewardship. They remain the master's property. And the servants were expected to use them responsibly. So this reflects our understanding as Christians that everything that we have, abilities, opportunities, resources, ultimately belong to God
Starting point is 01:30:58 and must be used to fulfill his purposes. Everything a believer possesses, skills, talents, resources, opportunities, belong to Jesus Christ. Yes. They have been bought with a price. And so we are stewards who manage what God has entrusted to us in a way that honors and pleases him this is not about pleasing ourselves this is about pleasing our Heavenly Father yes so the talents were distributed unequally now this contradicts
Starting point is 01:31:54 the modern um marxist mantra in america yes the the equity model. Yes, equity. He gave five, two, and one. According to the abilities of each servant. And so this demonstrates God's sovereign right over his gifts and his understanding of each person's capacity. The unequal distribution ensures that no one person is overwhelmed or under-challenged. The distribution of talents highlights the principle that God gives according to ability. People have different capacities. And expectations are aligned with what individuals can realistically handle the parable calls for faithful service regardless of the scale of your talents or opportunities yes so I know see this
Starting point is 01:33:19 bothers bothers all of us that we have to acknowledge. This parable makes us acknowledge that God makes distinctions in the abilities, powers, and opportunities given to people. The diversity means that not everyone is equipped with the same gifts or placed in the same situations. However, the expectation remains that everyone will make the best use of what they have been given. Each person is accountable. You know, we're looking at the three different servants that are classified there. The one with five talents, the one with two talents, and the one with one talent. Now, keep in mind that the whole purpose of this parable really isn't about, you know, obviously we should manage our abilities and our talents and everything like that.
Starting point is 01:34:25 But at the heart of this parable, and we'll get to it in verse 19, is readiness. This is that's why this parable fits in with chapter 24 and the parable of the ten virgins. This parable is about readiness, about being prepared. And in particular, his servants being prepared for the return of the Lord. And then there's going to be an accountability upon that return of how those giftings were multiplied. Not everybody is equipped with the same gifts. But God expects each person to make the best use of what he gives
Starting point is 01:35:08 them that's the principle in this parable the the unequal distribution is not a matter of favoritism it's not that God favors one person over another but it's a reflection of his wisdom and understanding of what each son and daughter can handle and manage right he didn't love the one with five talents more than the one with one talent. No. He knew that the one that he gave one talent to was only able to manage one talent. But his love for him was the same as the one that he gave five talents to. Yes. it would have been cruel to give five talents to the one that he gave one to and expect him to manage five talents.
Starting point is 01:36:13 Right. That would have been cruel as a father. I have 10 grandchildren. None of them are the same each one's into an individual different each one has different capabilities there are some that I would not ask to do something that I would ask another one to do but I love all ten. So the unequal distribution of gifts aligns with God's sovereign will and divine wisdom. And it is according to his own good pleasure.
Starting point is 01:37:09 And designed for the orderly functioning of the world and the church. God knows what is best for each person and what they're capable of handling. that the distribution of gifts is not equal, that this is not fair. But despite the differences in the amounts given, the distribution of talents is equitable because each servant receives what aligns with his or her ability. And so this speaks of the fairness of how God allocates resources, ensuring that no one is overburdened or expected to do more than they are capable of. So the measure of success is not about quantity but about faithful and wise use of what one has been given yes yes a number of years ago there was a there was a young man who we got him started in his online ministry,
Starting point is 01:38:26 you know, gave him a boost. And we helped him a lot. Gave him a lot of time on True News, you know, really tried to help him. And several years later, he spoke to me, and I was really, I was shocked with what he said, but I didn't respond that way. He just said, Rick, I've got to be honest with you because I'm jealous of you and your ministry because God has blessed you so much, and I'm not being blessed like you and um he uh he said your your ministry has funds to use that i don't have and i said how do i answer this and i said i told him i said look
Starting point is 01:39:20 it's as simple as this the lord has given True News more funds than your ministry because we need more funds than your ministry. It's just that simple. That's hard to accept, isn't it? It's hard to accept. But I said, but brother, you got to listen to me. Their ministry is far bigger than True News. And God has given them far more favor and money and resources that he's given us because they need it you have to accept you have
Starting point is 01:39:53 to be content where you are be compared do everything you can with the resources that God has given you and if you're pleasing the Lord, he will increase. He will give more. But if he doesn't, that's his choice. Right. And that's difficult for people to accept. the term ability in this parable means that the talents were given based on each servant's capacity to trade and manage them. God does not require more from individuals than they are capable of doing, capable of achieving, capable of giving. He knows what you can do
Starting point is 01:40:55 therefore each person is held accountable based on what they are able to do and that reflects god's just and fair standard of judgment see when we get later to the servant who buried his talent and didn't do anything with it, he had the ability to double it. Yes. He was in terms of the ability to double his talent, he was equal with
Starting point is 01:41:21 the other two servants. And obviously he had the energy the energy to do it rick he was able to hold he put effort he put effort into hiding the talent that's what gets me he put effort into hiding the talent what if he put that same effort in doubling the talent that's right so god what god is saying here is that the servant who got one talent it wasn't that god was being unfair to him he was saying i i know you i know your abilities i know what you're capable of doing and you are capable of managing one talent, and you are capable of doubling it. It was not a reflection of the worth of that individual. Christ dies for all of us. He died on the cross for all of us he died on the cross for all of us this is not
Starting point is 01:42:26 about your worth this is not about God's love for you it's not about your worth to God this is about your ability to do things for his kingdom so I know I'm dwelling on the same theme, that the dispensing of gifts is an expression of Jesus' authority to allocate his gifts as he sees fit. That he dispenses his gifts according to his understanding of what is needed for his kingdom. Remember, he's in charge. It's all about Jesus. It's not about us. It's about Jesus. And he gives us gifts based on what he sees as what we can do for his kingdom.
Starting point is 01:43:28 Right. His goal is to advance the kingdom. That's right. The kingdom of heaven is as. So the duties and the opportunities that God provides each of us are always suited to the recipient's capacity to handle them. And that distribution ensures that each person receives what they can handle, thus making it possible for them to succeed if you give too much to somebody you overwhelm them and they fail and so God is because he's fair he's just he doesn't give you more than you can handle. See, he doesn't allow more
Starting point is 01:44:27 temptation to come than we can handle. He doesn't allow more persecution to come than we can handle. And likewise, he doesn't give us more talents and abilities than we can handle. But no matter what, no matter how much that has been given to us,
Starting point is 01:44:44 the Lord, the man, is expecting a return. He expects it. I can't help but think that there was probably an instruction given. I'm going away. I'm giving out talents. I expect a return. Even if he didn't say it then there was an expectation of it god gives gifts with wisdom knowing each individual's ability to manage and improve the gifts and so this prevents overburdening someone who cannot handle more and it also prevents under challenging somebody who can
Starting point is 01:45:27 do greater things yes both extremes have to be avoided one extreme overloading somebody with more responsibility than they can handle the other extreme is under giving, not giving enough to another person who can handle greater things. Let me look at the time here. Okay, we have another 15 minutes. Okay, I want to go into verses 14 and 15 well I want to talk about the I want to talk about the excuse me I want to I need to skip down here my notes, Doc, because I've already gone over these. I want to talk about the master's departure. Okay. So it says, verse 14,
Starting point is 01:46:35 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country who called his own servants and delivered unto them his goods. There's the phrase, straightway took his journey. After he departs, after he gives his gifts, he straightway, meaning immediately, took his journey. So it emphasizes that Christ distributed his gifts to the church before he left and immediately went on his journey to heaven. Now, those gifts have been, I believe, have been established on earth for thousands of years to be distributed among men and women. The master's departure was not abandonment. He didn't go, hey, here's the gifts, I'm leaving. Best of luck.
Starting point is 01:47:59 No, it reflected his trust in his servants. And this next sentence is extremely important. Believers are given the freedom and the responsibility to grow, serve, and act with the gifts that they were given. Jesus gives the gifts, and then he steps back. He doesn't interfere. He watches. He observes. He gives us freedom, the freedom of will, the freedom to make decisions, the freedom to act, to grow and develop those gifts.
Starting point is 01:48:52 So we said earlier, the man traveling to a far country represents Jesus Christ, who departed from earth at the time of the Ascension. He went to heaven. who departed from earth at the time of the ascension he went to heaven line this up with the the asians chapter four verse eight where for he said when he is sending up on high
Starting point is 01:49:21 he led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men glory glory Lord Lord Lord doc I believe I don't I not the gifts were given you know that's actually a fulfillment of prophecy too that comes from Psalm 68 18 I actually taught on Ask Doc on this a little bit last week that was a prophetic
Starting point is 01:50:01 Psalm by David and David said that first and so Paul is quoting David here in verse 8 Ephesians 4 8 that he led captivity captive and gave gifts to men and so promise has been there for thousands of years, that he was going to give gifts to men. Yes. Yes. So before his departure, Jesus assured his disciples that they would be equipped to carry out their mission. Yes. And he left them with a promise of his continued presence, the Holy Spirit.
Starting point is 01:50:43 The word immediately is significant it indicates that the master left right after distributing the talents without give further instructions the immediate departure implies that the servants were given full freedom and responsibility to manage the master's resources. Yes. And it also implies the urgency and the degree of freedom granted to the servants. He left immediately. He dispensed the gifts and he departed immediately.
Starting point is 01:51:23 He didn't stay around. Here are the gifts and he departed immediately. He didn't stay around. Here are the gifts. Goodbye. So the immediacy suggests a continuous readiness and willingness to engage with the responsibilities given. Because the gifts were given immediately yes they're yours now I'm entrusting you with these gifts start now don't delay start now yes get to work I'll be back later so So the master's immediate departure after distributing the talents speaks of God's relationship with humanity. That after giving gifts and opportunities, God allows each of us the freedom to decide how to use them.
Starting point is 01:52:24 And so he's providing a test of our faithfulness and our initiative um This immediacy is linked to the immediate action to trade after receiving the talent. Two of the three servants went to work immediately. They didn't put the gifts someplace in a closet and say I'll get to that next year they understood the Masters instruction and so they went to work immediately that's different from the third one or he went to work but he went to work digging a hole the master provided the people with autonomy in how they would manage the talents he did not give them specific instructions he allowed them freedom in their investment methods
Starting point is 01:53:50 he he showed trust in them to use their own judgment and initiative yeah in fact it it doesn't spell out how the man with the five towns doubled his talents and the man with two talents double his count but it does explain the guy with one talent he dug a hole yes but that wasn't god's instruction that's right right but god didn't the master did not tell any of the three men what to do with the talents other than you were responsible for them he didn't tell them how to double the talents see one thing that i've seen and i've struggled with this at times because of various church influences that i've had over my lifetime and and that is a lot of Christians waste a lot of time waiting on God to tell them how to do something
Starting point is 01:54:49 because Lord I want to do it according to your will I want to do it your way I'm not going to do anything until you tell me how to do it in the meantime I'm going to dig a hole yes in the meantime I'm digging a dig a hole and yes in the meantime i'm digging a hole and i'll just i'll just hang on to this talent until you tell me what to do with it no listen and this is this has been this has been something where I have struggled with it, where I have procrastinated in taking action on something I knew God wanted me to do
Starting point is 01:55:30 because I didn't know the right way to do it. And what the Lord showed me was, Rick, just make a decision. I will bless the decision you make. I'm like, no, Lord, I want to know your decision. And he goes, no, I want to see your decision. I'll bless the decision you make. If you want to go left, I'll bless left. If you want to go right, I'll bless right.
Starting point is 01:55:59 Pick one. But what do we do? We freeze up and we wait and we procrastinate. Dig a hole. Sometimes months and sometimes years can go by. And you go, Lord, what happened? And he's like, I was waiting on you to choose, to make a decision. So that's a lesson for all of us that we need to apply in our lives,
Starting point is 01:56:27 that we don't procrastinate and waste time out of a sincere desire to know God's will, to know his ways, to do his plan. Because, yes, we do need to discern his plan. But there comes a place and a time when the waiting is really procrastination yeah look how busy i've been digging holes yeah lord look at my whole ministry here yeah because uh you know maybe maybe the reason he dug a hole is he was waiting on God to tell him. He was waiting on his master to send the instructions what to do with it. So he's like, I'll just dig a hole and keep it safe until I get the instructions.
Starting point is 01:57:20 Where the other two men went to work immediately and said, I'll make up my own instructions. I'll do something with it. Doc, I'm going to pause here. So we'll pick this up tomorrow, and we'll continue. And this may take us two, three, four days to get through this parable. Let's not rush it. Let's savor every morsel.
Starting point is 01:57:53 Let's get all of the nutrients we can get out of these verses. It's a powerful parable for each one of us. You can't ignore this parable. This is one of the most important parables in the bible yes and and that this parable fits in with everything else that he has taught in chapter 24 and the parable of the ten virgins in 25 this one this is a parable about readiness
Starting point is 01:58:23 about being prepared for what? Being prepared for the Lord's return. The Lord's coming back and there's going to be an accountability required of his servants. It's about readiness. Yes. But it's...
Starting point is 01:58:40 I would say, Doc, it's more about productivity while you're waiting on the Lord's return. Yes. Our productivity. You can be ready, but have you been productive? Okay. You can be ready.
Starting point is 01:59:00 You can be waiting and looking for the Lord's return, but have you been productive? What do you have to show for the Lord's return, but have you been productive? What do you have to show for the resources that He gave you that pleases Him, that's of benefit to His kingdom? Yes. Alright, hey, I gotta go. I'll see you in a little while.
Starting point is 01:59:20 God bless you. We'll see you tomorrow on Morning Manor. Thank you for being so patient today. Thank you so much. Amen. God bless you.
