El Paso is reporting that Red Electrica, the public company that operates the National Electricity Grid in Spain, emphasize the unprecedented nature of the situation. Such an event has never occurred before. It is an absolutely exceptional incident. So keep that in mind as we continue the story here.

The outage has suddenly reverted Spain to the 19th century. Traffic lights are out of service. Traffic jams are forming across the country, and pedestrians are wandering around cities without public transportation. Now, desperate families are trying to communicate with their loved ones, passengers are left stranded without trains or flights, medical appointments have been canceled,

rescues are underway in subway stations and elevators, and lines are forming outside small shops due to supermarket closures. Now, Rick, we're about six or seven hours into this exceptional event, as it's being described. And I checked some of the Spanish newspapers. Government officials are saying that they hope to see power restored sometime tonight. Daily mail in London, panic buying sweeps blackout hit Spain and Portugal as shelves are emptied. Huge queues, meaning lines, formed at petrol gas stations. Boy, if this isn't an ad for American reserves, do you see how fast it can happen?

Right. Panic buying. Reifuss 6 hours. Mann See, people got up this morning in Spain and Portugal and France and they had no thoughts at all that they needed to stockpile food today, or take out cash from their bank because the ATMs wouldn't be working, or to fill up their automobile tanks because they have all day to buy gasoline later in the day. They didn't have any thoughts like this.

Right. But by 12 noon, everything had changed. The world had changed in three countries. Not just one city in one country, but the entire nations. Rows of cars were pictured lining up at petrol stations as people desperately sought to fill up their vehicles and fuel cans with expats detailing how they have tried to fill generators to keep their homes going. Airports also have been hit with flight delays and cancellations. Holidaymakers in Portugal have been warned not to travel to airports until further notice. I've got a collection of videos that we're going to show you just to give you an idea of what, as you see, I guess this is an airport. I'm not sure if it's Portugal or Spain. Look at this.

The train just stopped. It stopped and people got out of the trains. What are you going to do? The train's not going anywhere. The trains run on electricity. This shows the traffic in one of the major cities. With no traffic lights. Right.

Okay so we're gonna walk this through together here folks. Portugal's grid operator REN claimed interruptions to the country's power supply were the result of a fault in the Spanish electricity grid. They said this was related to, quote, a rare atmospheric phenomenon, namely extreme temperature variations. Now, due to these variations in the interior of Spain,

there were anomalous oscillations in the very high voltage lines, a phenomenon known as induced atmospheric vibration. Now, these oscillations cause synchronization failures between the electrical systems, leading to successive disturbances across the interconnected European network. And have you ever heard a collection of words kind of put together and you sit back and think to yourself, did they just make that up? These oscillations call synchronization. Of course they do. First grade we learned about anomalous oscillations and high voltage. What is going on here? So this happened.

I think another nation demonstrated an atmospheric weapon that's never been used before. Are you talking about an EMP or a weather device? Weather warfare. It wasn't EMP, Doc. EMP would burn, fry everything on the ground. This was frying the atmosphere. This caused... In a specific location. No, I don't believe that at all. I believe something strange, something bizarre happened in the atmosphere. We are in World War III. It's as simple as that. We are in the Third World War. And I believe a nation demonstrated a weapon for the benefit of Europe, European leaders. Hey, take a look at this. We're just going to give you a little taste of what we can do. to produce nuclear weapons. They needed to go nuke with, they needed to have their own nuclear arsenal. This is the governor of Tokyo. Well, it turned out he didn't say it, but Fukushima was the only nuclear power plant in Japan that was producing the You know the uranium that they would need

for a nuclear weapon Weeks later Fukushima's gone right and then a week or two after that mr. Zarinowski in Russia did an interview on television and there was a newswoman as the presenter and Mr. Zarinowski looked like he you you know, had been drinking, which was not an exaggeration, you know.

No tie, his shirt was, you know, collar was spread out. He looked like he had just woke up. But he said something like, you know, he implied Russia used a secret weapon on Japan. And he said, do they want another dose? Do they want this again? I forget the exact words. We have a video somewhere in our archives. We have the video.

I think he did say earthquake weapon that Russia used an earthquake weapon on Japan and that they

were prepared to give Japan another dose of it. So, brings us back to this today. The European nations, France, not so much Spain and Portugal, but France definitely have been saying, you know, Europe's got to go to war with Russia. You've got Germany, France, Great Britain talking about war with Russia. I have to wonder whether the Russians just demonstrated something that they possess and said this is just a tease of what we can do. We can fry the atmosphere over all of Europe and put

you people back in the Stone Age. Something weird happened. Yes. So that ought to be again a heads up to everybody about preparedness. See that that article said that the people who had fuel kept their generators running. Well, how many people were running out to the gas stations today to get fuel? Just about everybody. Because they didn't have any fuel for their generators. It makes me think of our friend Dennis in Michigan. Last month they had this freak, was it this, maybe it's the

beginning of this month, April, we're still in April, they had a freak, you know, late spring ice storm in northern Michigan and it took power out for a hundred thousand people for almost two weeks. I think he was without power for ten days and others went longer. But I kept checking with Dennis and he said no I'm okay because he had a generator but he had fuel he had backup fuel. Right. And nobody else could get fuel. So because the the gas stations were closed down the power lines were down See you can have You can have your things for

Preparedness, but if you don't have a way to run your things you're not prepared, right? But yeah, he was doing his best Nazi propaganda voice, saying a massive cyber attack could shut down everything. We're assuming that another nation would do it. Well, what if there is an entity that's not a nation? Right. Like chaos. Remember chaos? The, what was that, Don Adams?

What if there was an entity out there that just did evil things? And its leader was somebody like Klaus Schwab. I still remember a dream my daughter, Carissa, had back in Texas. So this would have been maybe 2004, early 2005, somewhere like that. It could have been 2003, somewhere in that area. We lived out in the countryside. We had a small track of land, and we were surrounded by big ranches. Anyhow,

if you've ever been in Texas at this time of the year, April, May, you'll see some of the most spectacular storms you've ever seen in your life. And Carissa had a dream that she and my wife Susan were outside on a summer day, and she looked up and saw storm clouds coming. And she's noticing them. Of course, you learn to pay attention to storm clouds and watch to see how close they're getting. And as time went by, the clouds, the storm was coming at a fast clip towards our community. And she said it became

very ominous and you could see the clouds rolling like sea waves. She said there was bizarre lightning, and she said it was a frightening storm, and she told Susan, her mom, we've got to go inside. And then she stopped and she said, but mom, this storm is so bad, none of our animals will survive. We have to take everything inside.

We didn't have a lot of livestock. We had some goats, you know, there's a pony. I'm trying to remember, you know, a lot of guinea hens and stuff, you know. And they gathered up all the animals on our property and took them into the house because they said nothing would survive this storm and then the dream changed and she said the scene changed to a Newspaper headline and it said USA hit by an on attack a non

hit by anon attack. A-N-O-N. A-N-O-N. USA hit by anon attack. Anon. Anon. And Chris asked me, because dad, you know, again, this is around 2004 or 2005, she goes, you know, you follow all this news, what's an anon weapon? I said, never heard of it. She said, that was in the headline, USA hit by anion attack. So was it a prophetic dream of some futuristic weapon that's going to be used against us someday? I don't know. But you know, why do Christians have dreams like this about topics, about words that they've never heard? You know, it's not like she went to bed and she watched an anon movie, you know, a sci-fi movie and had a dream about it.

No, she had never heard the word. I had never heard of it as a weapon. Well anyhow, let's get back. Here's a real headline. This one's not in a dream. Although I wish it was, it's more like a nightmare. Reuters, Pakistan defense minister says military incursions by India is imminent. Now that headline is very subdued considering the content of the article.

So Pakistan's defense minister, the same one that last week said Pakistan had done the dirty work for the West for 30 years, said on Monday that a military incursion by neighboring India was imminent in the aftermath of a deadly militant attack on tourists.

Notice how Reuters uses that. In Kashmir last week, as tensions rise between the two nuclear-armed nations, he said, we have reinforced our forces because it is something which is imminent now. So in that situation, some strategic decisions have to be taken. So those decisions have been taken, Defense Minister Qawaji Muhammad Asif told Reuters in an interview at his office in Islamabad. Now here's what you know. Here it comes folks, get ready. He said Pakistan was on high alert and that it would only use its arsenal of nuclear

weapons if there is a direct threat to our existence. What? Hold on. That escalated really fast. We're talking nukes now. So if India crosses the border, Pakistan is willing to use its nuclear weapons. Meaning we could have a nuclear war this week. Yes. Now you mentioned Vladimir Zarevnosky earlier and I'd seen a video, it's just so weird that you brought his name up, because I'd watched a video that had subtitles and everything. I can't find the video, but I do have a tweet of a quote of his where he makes this prediction back in 2004. He says, there will be a nuclear conflict

between India and Pakistan. At least 200 million people will die, fueling the conflict between India and Pakistan as part of a global special operation against China and Russia. Ooh. That's from Mr. Zarevnosky back in 2004, Rick. It's like he knew a plan. He was aware of a plan and maybe a timetable that before there's a war against China and

Russia there will be a war between India and Pakistan. Nobody thinks about Pakistan and India here in the West. They think, you know, because that's the other side of the world, we don't worry about it. But these guys, they don't like each other a lot. And India has, what, 1.4 billion people? Right. And they're next door neighbors and they don't like each other. Right.

Zyrowski went on to predict that there would be a billion people that would have coming from Asia to the West. A billion people. Migration? Yes, because of a nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan. We can't deport that many. Well the West generally, like Europe and everywhere else, because they won't be livable in Asia. But he said a hundred million would die in this Pakistan, India. Two hundred million would die. Lord Jesus.

Everybody you need to be discerning and praying about this situation in Pakistan and India. Don't put it out of your head. I mean... There's a reason the Lord is bringing true news to a close at this time. There's a reason. The instruction is, teach my word to the people. They don't need news, they need the word. So we can see things are changing rapidly, and it's not for the best. Newsweek satellite images show massive blaze after devastating Iran blast. The death toll has risen to at least 45, 1,200 wounded following a massive explosion at Iran's southern port city of Bandar Abbas on Saturday. Look at this. Fires continue to break out at the strategic shipping hub late into Monday. Helicopters and emergency crews tried to contain the devastation.

Bandar Abbas is a major commercial gateway located on the Strait of Hormuz, through which roughly a fifth of the world's oil output passes. That's right. So who did it? We know who Iran is fingering. Here's Times of Israel. Iranian MP, member of parliament, accuses Israel of involvement in port blast. That's right, Rick.

The Times of Israel is reporting that the death toll from the powerful explosion that rocked Iran's biggest port of Bandar Abbas has risen to at least 40 to 45, depending on who's reporting over a thousand injured. The authorities are still working to determine the cause of the blast, and Iranian parliament member claimed that Israel was responsible, saying that the explosive devices were planted in the shipping containers that caused it. Israel was involved in the explosion. That's him from Member of Parliament, Muhammad Saraj, speaking to a Rokna news agency on Sunday.

It was not accidental. Clear evidence points to Israeli involvement. There were explosives planted in the container, either in their country of origin or along the transportation route. We do not rule out the involvement of internal factors in planting the explosives in the containers. The explosion occurred at four different locations.

So it wasn't a single explosion. I hope it wasn't shipping containers full of pagers. Right. That was my first thought too. I mean if they can, if Israel can target, that took years of planning on the pager deal. It's certainly not beyond the realm of possibility to consider this. And you know that explosion, I don't know if we can show that again, number seven for control, but that explosion, what did it remind you of when you saw this explosion video right there Rick mmm tactical nuke right and from remember in Lebanon a few years back at the port at the elevator yeah the green

elevator right at a port again mind you at a port so they put a small nuke in a container. So folks, if you can hide a small tactical nuke inside a shipping container, you could bring that into Baltimore, Miami, Newport Beach. Across the southern border? Anywhere. The defense minister added that in Israel's broader wars and its fight against Iran, we know we have someone to count on when in the end we will be required to undertake decisions. We know that there is someone to execute them and this is true in any place including with Iran. If there's a need to act attack, there is someone who will do it. Who's that someone they're talking about, Rick? Well, they're implying, in this article they're saying it's them, but they want the US to do it. That's right. And I think Israel is the type of entity that would do something that would force the US into a war like the USS Liberty. That was the point of the USS Liberty.

They wanted the US to bomb Egypt. They wanted to blame Egypt for the sinking of the USS Liberty. And not just bomb Egypt, nuke Egypt. Yes, they wanted to nuke because they wanted greater Israel to expand into Egypt. They had to get rid of Cairo. So what you have here is the president of the defense minister of Israel saying, you know, if we don't like Donald Trump's deal with Iran, we're just going to blow them up. And so we're, you know, we're sending that message to the White House.

Bibi Netanyahu, Times of Israel, a bad Iran deal is worse than no deal. But Donald Trump's saying a deal's gonna happen. So Mr. Netanyahu on Sunday called for Iran's entire nuclear infrastructure to be dismantled. What does that sound like? Sounds like we're gonna have to blow up a lot of things, Rick. Yeah, so he said on the Iran situation, I think we're doing very well.

This is President Trump. I think there's going to be a deal made. It's going to happen. Pretty sure it's going to happen. But let's watch. Here is, again, Times of Israel. Netanyahu says, any deal with Iran must see all its nuclear infrastructure dismantled. This is number 11, Times of Israel, where he is saying a nuclear deal with Iran must

remove its ability to enrich uranium. And he said this at a speech at the Jewish News Syndicate Policy Conference in Jerusalem. I'm glad they called it a news syndicate. And the U.S. engages, as the U.S. engages in direct talks. So I've got a small video clip. Here is Mr. Netanyahu calling for the dismantlement of the Iranian nuclear program. But there are two ways to do it. One is to get a deal that would prevent them from doing that by dismantling their nuclear

infrastructure. You have to dismantle their nuclear infrastructure. And that means not that they will not enrich uranium, but that they will not have the capacity to enrich uranium, which means you destroy the centrifuges, you remove, of course, the nuclear material that is already enriched, and there are a few other things that you have to do. But that's the crux of it. But Mr. Trump is considering, maybe, according, well, we know that the Iranians have proposed to Mr. Trump

that the United States partner with Iran in building their nuclear program. And that a trillion dollars worth of contracts could be awarded to American nuclear power companies. And if you follow Donald Trump's philosophy of make money, not war, that fits in. But Bibi Nanyahu says, oh no, we don't want a deal that just says they won't make a bomb. We want a deal that says they're incapable of making a bomb because they don't have anything

left to make it with. Right. And not just a bomb, any nuclear facility at all. Right. He wasn't completely, totally dismantle the entire nuclear program. That's their demand. And when they say dismantle, they don't mean,

well, let's load it up in the shipping crates and bury it. No, they mean, let's blow it up. It has to be blown up. They won't accept anything else. Now, let's go to the Third World War being fought in Europe. Russia today, Putin announces 72-hour Victory Day ceasefire. So the Victory Day is May 1st when, oh no, is it May 1st? What's the date of? I think it's May 9th. May 9th, May 9th, yes you're right. So from May 9th. May 9th, May 9th. Yes, you're right.

So from May 8th to May 10th will be a three-day ceasefire. As far as the Russians are concerned, they said, you know, we'll stop all fighting for three days. And, you know, in Ukraine, Mr. Zelensky said he wants a permanent ceasefire, but I want you to see something. The Pope Francis funeral is taking place and President Trump is there, and I want you to see this short video clip at the Vatican because Zelensky is there, so look at this. Chairs were set up for Mr. Trump and Mr. Zelensky to talk, but look who's there. Mr. Macron. Oh, three's a crowd.

And watch what happens. Mr. Trump sends him away. Yes, and there were actually three chairs set up there, and they took one of the chairs away. So yeah, when we watch it, now look, you'll see, let's watch it again. The Vatican has three chairs. One for Mr. Trump, one for Ms. Zelensky, and then for the surprise guest, Emmanuel Macron, and there's Mr. Trump saying, what are you doing here? I didn't invite you. How did you get in this meeting?

And why are there three chairs here? Oh, here we are. Now it's Trump and Zelensky. So what do you think the two of them talked about there in the Vatican, Rick? Well if you had total privacy between President Trump and President Zelensky, okay, and they were able to talk without any of the filters, any of the aids, anything like that, what do you think the conversation was? Well, I would suspect that Mr. Zelensky begged for more weapons and more money,

because that's what he does very well. And I think Mr. Trump told him, your act is over and there's no time's no time left you need to sign the deal and we're going to bring this war to an end you're out of cards this season Zylinski's sitting at a poker table without any cards and then you saw Mr. McCrone come up to the poker table and he's not even invited to the game. Right. So I think Mr. Trump, President Trump told Mr. Zelensky, sign the deal. Maybe, who knows, maybe he said, if not, we're going to pull out, completely pull out, and let Russia take your entire country. And we're not going to do a thing to stop it.

I'd like to know who invited Emmanuel Macron. Was it the Vatican, or was it Mr. Zelensky? Or did Mr. Macron, was he the one who set up the meeting between Mr. Trump and Mr. Zelensky? And Mr. Trump didn't know that Macron was behind it. I don't know, but I know this. He didn't get to stay for the meeting. He got escorted out.

And that part of the video was clipped, so you didn't get to see them removing Mr. Zelensky, I mean Mr. Zelinsky, I mean Mr. McCrone. Doc, there's a, oh I know, this is number 14. In this video, you're going to see a video clip from a Ukrainian television program where a Ukrainian army brigade commander openly threatens Mr Zelensky's life on live TV. Of course, it's in Ukrainian Doc's gonna read the English subtitles There's another post another quote From the commander the 414th or 14th Separate Brigade, Robert Madyar, who said, the war will not end by the New Year.

Show us his quote, the war will not end by the New Year. But its format will change. We will consolidate the turning point that is happening now. If our government talks with Russian freaks not in the interest of the Ukrainian people, we will make them regret. Because there are millions of us who will return from the war, and we did not waste time here. If we do not like something from the point of view of the integrity of the country, there will be troubles for everyone. And specifically for Vladimir Zelenskyy.

So now this guy was a commander. The guy sitting on the end, in the fatigues, he was a Ukrainian Army Brigade commander. And so the message is, hey look, we've been out here on the front lines fighting, and if things go on that we don't like, we're going to come back and it's not going to be pretty. And one of those things that was mentioned in a longer form of the video is the territory

that Ukraine is giving up. If Ukraine gives up territory, that could be a point where these soldiers and everyone else, what were we fighting for? Why did we fight for nearly four years? Why did hundreds of thousands of young men die, their blood staining the fields out here? Why? And on the Russian side, if Vladimir Putin signs something, the same questions are going

to be asked by the Russians. So Doc, going back to that face-to-face meeting at the Vatican during the funeral between Mr. President Trump and President Zelensky, do you think maybe Mr. Zelensky looked at Donald Trump and said, if I sign this deal they're going to kill me? That was my thought Rick. I, especially after watching this video, you know, where you have a commander of one of the Ukrainian brigades threatening the leader of the country. And so, and that's the situation for him, isn't it?

I mean, really, he's painted himself in a corner. He's not just lost to cards. He's sitting over in the corner and you got got a couple hoodlums getting ready to shake him down. He'd better, wherever he's got the money stashed that he siphoned off of the U.S. money, he'd better get out of the country and go someplace and disappear. And just let the next person deal with it because he's running out of time. I'm going to go through some headlines quickly because I've got some videos I want to show.

Russia today, Russia would help defend North Korea. So Mr. Putin went on record saying, hey, if anybody attacks our buddy North Korea, we're going to come to their defense. That's simply a threat, a nice friendly threat. Military Times, US and Philippines to simulate full-scale battle in drills in the Philippines. And those drills are underway right now. They started about a week ago and there will be going on for another week in the Philippines and the purpose of this is a direct confrontation with

China. Where? Where's the confrontation? It will be in the Philippines. The US and the Philippine Army is doing a drill till May 9th in preparation for all-out war with China in the Philippine Islands. Right. How's that make you feel, Doc? It feels like my property values have gone down a little bit in the Philippines. And so, um... Geez. And you know, this story isn't really talked about much.

Is there any place in the world that you could go and be safe from this war? Antarctica. No, they're going to fight over it. Well, that's true. I remember that story here a few months back. There's got to be an island someplace they don't care about. Wars and rumors of wars. He didn't mention the geographic location.

The whole world is going to be at war. Yeah. South China Morning Post, China's high-power microwave gun fires 10,000 shots in test. Look at this gun. So this is on display here. This is a demonstration of a high high powered microwave weapon is what they're calling it and it operates on pulse technology and I mean it's very impressive now it's possible the US has this technology too but the Chinese are coming right out and saying we have it we're ready to use it. Operating at 10 to 30 pulses per second. The Sun. This troubled me over the weekend. Virginia Jufri died over the weekend.

Virginia was one of Jeffrey Epstein's former sex slaves as a teenager. She was abused as a teenager, held captive by him for years. She's the one who said Prince Edward, Prince Andrew, had sexual relations with her, and she was found dead over the weekend, I believe Saturday night in Australia. But this article in The Sun says, mysterious details of Virginia Jouffre's final days had been revealed by her lawyer, who said the Epstein victim was positive and had plans for the future before her tragic death. Yeah, she was planning on renovating her farmhouse, planning on doing things.

A friend of her says she was very positive at the time, which adds more mystery to this death. And this is following, you know, if you recall, you know, she was in an accident which... And that was strange. Yes, and the Prince Andrew sex accuser and Epstein victim claimed she has four days to live after being seriously injured in a car crash. And then the Australian police gave a kind of a bizarre account, said there was a minor accident, there were new injuries. And when I saw that photograph, Doc, I thought, it's not an auto accident. That looks like somebody beat her up.

And she posted online that she only had four days to live and now she's dead. But her lawyer is saying, but I just talked to her. She was positive. She felt she had plans for the future. She didn't have, Carrie Loudon, the attorney, said, I'd spoken to her in the days before. I was meant to be up here today, right now, having a meeting with her so we could sort out legal affairs. I was here this time last week and things were positive. But in a scathing blast at Australian authorities, Loudon said she was left reeling, claiming police failed even to confirm Virginia Jufri's death.

She said, I'm a defense lawyer, so I don't like to speculate about things. I like beyond reasonable doubt until the evidence is in we're just, you know, drawing conclusions. Officially, the police told me nothing. They didn't even confirm that she was dead. That's how little information the police have provided me. This has been a complete shock to all of us. If any of us had thought she's going to commit suicide, of course we would have taken steps, put her in a clinic or got her some help. When I got a phone call I

was like, you know, you're joking because there's no, there were no signs that's something that she was considering, that was something she was considering. So Doc, you have to wonder, did the Epstein crime ring murder Virginia Jufre? Well, she's one of the remaining ones that was outspoken and had anything to say. But now she says nothing. It's that her blood speak from the grave now. Okay. I've got three video clips I want to show you.

These are from Tucker Carlson. And I'm going to show some each week. You should watch the entire interview, the Tucker Carlson show. He's interviewing former Congressman Kurt Weldon of Pennsylvania. But in these clips he's talking about 9-11. He said the 9-11 investigation was a total sham.

This guy was a high ranking congressman at one time. And he said it was a total sham. And he knew it back then. And because he knew it is why they got rid of him. So in this one, Tucker Carlson has asked him, did the CIA lie about Osama bin Laden's location? Now remember, where were we told they found bin Laden Pakistan Pakistan and what did the defense minister of Pakistan say last week that we've been doing the West dirty work for 30 years and what country is on the verge of a nuclear war with India today Pakistan okay let's pay attention to this interview here's our

Tucker Carlson and former Congressman Kurt Weldon. So I said to the CIA, I have information of Bin Ladens in Lidiz. This is their response to me. Mr. Chairman, we've heard similar reports. We can either confirm or deny them. I was in shock. I was in shock. We're sending kids to die in Afghanistan and we can't confirm or deny whether or not Bin Laden's in Lidiz. Three months go by. I'm still supporting the president. My intel team comes back to me and say, Kurt, he's being treated at a military hospital outside of Tehran. I go back to the classified briefing and I ask the question in front of the full committee. And the answer from the CIA is, Mr. Chairman, we've heard similar reports.

And then Tucker, I get a call from Jack Murtha, the most respected Democrat in the house, former Marine, who I worked with closely. And he says to me, I want you to meet with Ron Klink, Democrat from Pittsburgh. And Ron Klink's still alive. He'll verify this, Tucker.

Jack's dead, but Ron's alive. He said, Jack has a person who used to work for the agency that has information about Iran and you investigate this kind of stuff, Kurt, will you meet with him? Ron Klink comes to my office and brings this very tall man who's a former person from the Swedish area, but he's a US citizen. And I said, how can I help you? Congressman Murth asked me to help, Ron Klink wants me to help. He said, Congressman, I want you to help me get into Iran. I said, why do you want to go to Iran? He said, that's where Bin Laden is. I said, why would you tell me that Bin Laden's in Iran? He said, I was a knock for the agency. Do you know what a knock is?

Yeah, non-official cover. That's right. He said, I was a knock for the agency and I worked that area. And my friends are seeing Bin Laden in Iran. If you help me get to Tehran, I'll leave my identity there. I'll get a piece of him dead or alive and I'll bring it back. At the time there was a $25 million reward for Bin Laden. I said, I can't help you right now because I'm in a battle over this follow up to 9-11. Then I get another call, Tucker, from the Interior Department, totally separate. They wanna bring in their top bird man, their bird expert.

I didn't think that was unusual because I was the Republican on the Migratory Bird Commission. The Migratory Bird Commission. I didn't know there was a Migratory. It oversees all the flyways for all the refuges up and down the coast. I was the Republican.

Duck hunters like me, thank you, by the way. John Dingle was a Democrat. Of course, I've duck hunted with him, yeah. There were two senators and three cabinet members. So I figured they want to talk about birds. I'm on the bird commission. I'll meet with them. So this interior department bird expert brings in a U.S. citizen from Maine who's a Sikh, but he's a U.S. citizen, very wealthy family. And he's got two falcons on his shoulders, million dollar birds with the blinders on, beautiful. Into my office. I said, boy, they're gorgeous. How can I be so? Well, Congress and I've devoted my life to Falcons. He said, I helped write the UN protection treaties on falconry. He said, I trained all the children of the royal families in the sport of falconry.

Yes. Because that's their sport. He said, they all know me, they all trust families in the sport of falconry. Yes. Because that's their sport. He said, they all know me, they all trust me, they all know me. In the Arab world, it's huge. Yes. Yes. He said so, and I want to help the country and there's a reward for bin Laden. I said, yeah, I know that.

He said, I want you to help me go to Iran. I said, why do you want to go to Iran? Now, he knows nothing about anything else I'm doing. My falconers are seeing bin Laden's birds flying in Iran. You help me go to Iran. Now he knows nothing about anything else I'm doing. My falconers are seeing Bin Laden's birds flying in Iran. You help me go to Iran, they'll accept me there because they know me. I'll tag his birds and I'll take the US to exactly where he is. That's four full source identities that Bin Laden was exactly where my intel people said he was Over the course of time Tucker. I

He said, Congresswoman, you remember me? I said, yes, General, I remember you. He said, I'd like you to work with us, Congresswoman. I'm working with Michael Schuyler and the Falconer, and we want you to be able to. I said, I'm not getting involved after what they did to my family. They all had the same story, Tucker. So what was happening in 2006? All my elections were landslides. Tucker Carlson asked Congressman Weldon, who was the real culprit behind the wars in the Middle East? Here we go. Can I just ask you to pause for one second? So you had a lot of evidence, sounds like that Bin Laden was not in Afghanistan or Pakistan, he was supposedly ultimately killed, not in Iraq, he was in Iran. But Iran was also in the crosshairs of the Bush administration. It was part of the so called axis of evil at the time.

People were talking about invading Iran then. Why would the Bush administration hide the fact that... It wasn't the Bush administration. Huh? Let me explain to you. This is what Trump needs to understand. It started under Clinton. When the Clinton administration, Bill and Hillary Clinton, who I have no respect for, were allowed to be themselves to be used so they could make money. when the Clinton administration, Bill and Hillary Clinton, who I have no respect for,

were allowed themselves to be used so they could make money. Tens and tens of millions of dollars, hundreds of millions of dollars, because they allowed people, unscrupulous people, to control the agenda in Russia and around the world. And you've been going after some of this involving Russia. I can give you dozens of hard examples. I believe it.

We've talked about this off camera, but I just want to get to specifically- Continued? Who was hiding the fact that Bin Laden was in Iran and why? Okay, it continued under Bush Jr. Yep. And as I said, up until 2000, they wanted me to be chairman. All of a sudden, when I started questioning 9-11, all of a sudden the Bush people said,

whoa. Yeah, I bet. John Sununu, after I was out of office, who I had a lot of respect for, was Bush's chief assistant. Smart man. Yeah, I know. I was in his office and he said this to me. He said, you know, Congress, you were a great member.

Everyone respected you, but you made one fundamental mistake. I said, what was that, John? He said, when you come to this city, you're either one rail or the other rail and you went down the middle took on both rails. I said well John, I didn't pledge allegiance to the Republican Party. Yeah. I pledged allegiance to the Constitution. You guys were ecstatic when I took on the Clintons, when I took on Sandy Berger, when I took on the scumbags and what they did with China and Russia. You were ecstatic. But then when I saw things happening at 9-11, all of us, he said, well, that's why you're

not here. I said, you know what, John, so be it. It's not the end of my life. And one day I'll tell the story, John. One day I'll tell the story because that's what America needs to hear. They need members of Congress who don't become duped by scumbags in the intelligence agency making money for themselves. And you know what, Tucker?

I challenge them. I'll name them and I'll give their dollar amounts of where they're making money today, in the countries that we're at war with. They care about themselves and their power. They don't care about the lives of the kids that we send to war. I saw it in Libya. I saw it in North Korea, I led delegations that were bipartisan to all of those places.

They took it out on my daughter. So, I just want to get one more time to the question of why, who was hiding the fact that Bin Laden was actually in Iran? Our intelligence agencies, they have plausible deniability. In the end, I have 10 silver bullets, including two royal family members from two different royal families, from two different countries, including in the end, the person that was in the room who was a knock for our government for 50 years. He's not from the US.

He's become a friend of mine. He's been to my home. We've met dozens of times. And on one of my trips to the Middle East, he said to me, you know, he calls you my dear, you were right. I said about what? He said about a lot of things, but you're right about Bin Laden. I said, what do you mean?

He said, well, he was placed in Iran and Balochistan. He said, I said, well, he said, I said, you know, he said, yes, I know that. He said I was in the room when the deal was cut. So the US has plausible deniability. They weren't in the room. Was the point to get to Iraq? The point was to manipulate, to get our troops committed, to go over to fight the battles in Afghanistan, Iraq,

and that whole region of the world. Yes. And they had to have the justification to do that. I believe it. But in the end, when five years ago, and even Trump doesn't know this, I'm sure, we killed someone that Trump took great credit for, and I applaud him for it, and he said, we killed this guy. Soleimani.

That's right. Soleimani was the guy the deal was cut with. The deal was not cut with the Iranian government. We need to understand that. And this is the heart of what we have to get to. The Iranian people are not our enemy. I wrote this book in 2005, Countdown on the Terror. It's all about Iran.

It says that the people of Iran are not our enemy. And this book was endorsed by Jim Woolsey with a three-page letter. Former CIA director. Former CIA director. Here's what happened, Tucker. When the Shah was in power, think back, we were best friends with Iran. Of course. Our intelligence people trained the Iranian intelligence people. We trained them. They were our people. When the radical Ayatollahs and the mullahs took over Iran, they did not bring a new intelligence service. They did not change the agency. The IRG stayed

the same. The deal to place bin Laden in Iran wasn't cut with the Iranian government, it was cut with Soleimani. And that's why we killed him. I heard that today and I was like... I am very concerned about Kurt Weldon's health, his lifespan. He's talking. He's talking. And he said, I'm going to name names, and he is naming names. I'm concerned about him for safety. Now, I don't think Donald Trump, when he took out Soleimani, knew the connection to Bin Laden. But they wanted him killed. The ones behind this deal wanted Donald Trump to kill Soleimani but not tell him why.

Right. And who was it that was going in with us to kill Soleimani but backed out at the last minute? Netanyahu. That's right. And the Mossad. So who's running the military in Iran? Who's running the military in Iran? Who's running the Iranian military?

Are we about to be told Israel? This is so bizarre. Okay, we got one more. This is a very short one, one and a half minutes. And Congressman, former Congressman Weldon said he is very concerned for the safety of President Trump. I agree, but Mr. Weldon, I'm concerned about your safety too. Let's watch.

That's the problem Trump has. Yeah, he can cut off the security clearance of 51, but that network extends far and wide around the world and they can play all the games they want in Ukraine, in other countries. And until we go after that, this is not going to stop. That's consistent, all consistent with what I've seen. And that's not a crazy statement. That's the challenge that Trump has right now. I still think he's at risk.

Last May I went on a TV show locally in the Philadelphia area and I said my greatest challenge is they're going to try to take Trump out. A month later, they did the attack. It goes back to when Trump first won, I kept quiet because I couldn't trust any of the administrations after I left, including the Bush administration, because Bush wasn't in control. And I can give you example after example of Bush not being in control. I knew who was in control.

When Trump was going in, I met with Rudy Giuliani. I had two private dinners with him up in New York. I had not known Rudy that well. I said, Rudy, this is what's gonna happen. The deep state's gonna undermine Trump. They don't want him. They will undermine him by removing his ability to understand how they operate. Before he took office, they took out General Mike Flynn.

When they took out Flynn, Trump was like a baby in the woods. And for four years, they used the Congress and they used their connections to derail this country. That's the problem that occurred in the first Trump four years. This time, I'm trying to get Trump to realize he's got a great start, but the people around him don't know what they don't know. They don't have that historical understanding of what, this just didn't happen with Trump. That's the man who should be Secretary of Defense instead of Pete Eggstaff.

prepared today good morning everybody welcome to morning manna it's Monday and we begin a new chapter in the book of Romans chapter 13 this will be a very interesting chapter and I'm sure doc and I will have a vigorous discussion about what these verses mean. There's controversy today in the church about Romans 13. I'm going to walk through it carefully and ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten all of us to understand the meanings of these verses. And hopefully at the end of this lesson, we will have a good understanding

of what God expects from us in regards to our relationship to governments. Let's pray. Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, Father, we thank you for a new day of life. We thank you for eternal life through faith in your Son, Jesus Christ. Father, your children, sons and daughters from many nations are gathered here this morning to be taught by your Holy Spirit the depth and the riches and the beauty of your word and so Holy Spirit come and take your place and lead this class and enlighten all of us

in the name of Jesus Christ amen amen so doc uh we're going to do verses Romans 13 verses 1 through 7. Very good. Okay. I'm reading from the King James this morning. And so go ahead and turn there. And I encourage you, if you're with us live today on Morning Man, if you have questions along the way, post them in the live chat,

do our best to try to address some of them because this is a very, as Rick said, for some controversial chapter. And so there are probably a lot of questions based upon your denominational tradition and everything and how it was taught. So don't hesitate to ask a question as we're going along here. So there will likely be some. Romans chapter 13, starting in verse 1, Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers, for there is no power but of God.

The powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God. And they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation for rulers are not a terror to good works but to evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good and thou shalt have praise of the same. For he is the minister of God to thee for good, but if thou do that which is evil, be afraid. For he beareth not the sword in vain, for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon them that doeth evil.

Wherefore ye must needs be subject not only for wrath but also for conscience sake. For this cause pay ye tribute also for they are God's ministers attending continually upon this very thing. Verse 7, render therefore to all their dues tribute to whom tribute is due custom to whom custom fear to whom custom, fear to whom fear, and honor to whom honor." God bless the redeemer's word today. Yes, and President Trump would add, and tariffs where tariffs are due. That would be the tribute. That's the tribute.

Okay. All right, praise God. Verse one, Romans 13 verse one. Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities for there is no authority except from God and those who exist are ordained of God. So this verse calls believers to submit to governing authorities, recognizing their role in maintaining order in society. Every soul is an inclusive term. Every soul means everybody. soul means everybody. Right. That everybody, including all Christians, obey civil rulers, respect authority. this call to be subject to authority implies a willing, respectful obedience,

not blind compliance, but a willing obedience to civil authority, unless laws contradict God's commandments. And that's where this starts to become controversial. Doc, I, you know, first of all, as Americans, we have rebellion ingrained in us. We were born in England. Our country was formed in rebellion. The origin of our country itself opens up a theological debate. Was it right for the colonies to rebel against the King of England? Politically, patriotically, the answer is yes. Theologically, was it yes?

That's the question. Romans 13 was used to justify that rebellion. That's the question. Romans 13 was used to justify that rebellion. Yes, I understand. But the Anglican Church in London used Romans 13 to oppose the rebellion. That's right. So Christians in the colonies were conflicted. What were they supposed to do? So, you know, I, and Doc, I want you to, you know, throughout this teaching, let's, you know, please interject anything that comes to your mind because these verses require open discussion.

because these verses require open discussion. And I don't think that there is a, except God's interpretation. I don't think among people we have a unified understanding of these verses like we do in so many other verses. So as I was saying, you know, as an American we were birthed in rebellion. I grew up in Western Maryland. I was very proud of the fact of the way I was brought up doc because of the the revolution the the colonial nature of Maryland right you know I was brought up to be very proud of the fact that our

ancestors were shooting British soldiers 50 years before the revolution yes they they went around our valley. The British troops knew, don't even go near that valley. Those people are crazy, they'll shoot you. And we were proud of it. You know, our attitude in that community was, you know, we were patriotic before patriotism was cool. Yeah. And it's even more significant right now because April, May, and June of this year, really,

we're celebrating the 250th anniversary of some of the battles that started the American Revolution. And they're all happening like in this three-month period here right now. Yes. And so because the response to the British happened a year before we even had the Declaration of Independence. So right now we're going through that 250th anniversary. So appropriate that we should maybe look at this once again

and ask some questions about it. And so. That's right. So as I said, you know, where I grew up, you know, the people there were fiercely independent in the early 1700s. On my grandmother's side, they came into that valley in 1720. And I heard the stories from my older relatives of the independence of the people at that time. So, verse 13-1 says, for there is no power but of God. That affirms God's sovereignty. The standard traditional teaching is that all authority derives from him.

And that God grants power to earthly rulers to ensure that his purposes prevail. So, Doc, if all powers are ordained of God, does that include evil rulers? Well, now that's a great question because we have to ask ourselves, is Paul expressing this as the ideal situation of a good and just ruler, or is he applying this, just saying that the authority is granted by God but that not all rulers necessarily operate within what we consider the category of being just. And that's where the rub lies, so to speak. One person's tyrant is another person's king. So the American Revolution is a great example.

There were people here in the colonies that were fierce British loyalists that faithfully served King George as their Christian faith taught them to, as the church had taught them to do. And then you also had those that viewed King George as a tyrant. Okay? So I guess sometimes it's an eye of the beholder, but the real question is, what did Paul mean here?

Not what we think, not what the colonists thought, not even what Luther or Calvin thought, but what was Paul trying to get across here? colonists thought, not even what Luther or Calvin thought, but what was Paul trying to get across here? Well, who was the prevailing power of his time? Caesar. Yes, was Caesar righteous? Absolutely not.

So then Paul was teaching the Christians, obey Caesar to the best of your ability except when Caesar is in opposition to God. Yeah, because Paul makes it clear he's ordained of God, and somebody asked earlier on the chat here, was Paul only talking about church authorities as opposed to government authorities. Well, no, he does a parallel passage over in 1 Peter. Well, Peter does a parallel passage in chapter two, where Peter goes through almost word for word, but he names kings and governors and to be obedient to them. So obviously there was a prevailing thought between both Paul and Peter at the time that we are subject to government authorities, and that could be extended to church authorities too.

But we have to stretch it to that because Peter talked specifically about kings and governors. And so this parallels what Paul is talking about here. There is a very serious sin driven by a very evil spirit. That sin is sedition. Sedition is the undermining of authority. And sedition can be present in families where one or two members of the family undermine an authority figure in the family. It can be present in churches where people work against the established leader

of the church or leaders. Can be present in companies, corporations, in governments. Sedition, where people conspire to undermine authority, to weaken authority, to eventually nullify and bring it down. It is a sin, it's evil, it comes from the devil. Don't ever be associated with anyone who's in seditious actions.

Doc, so let's think about, okay, what's popular in American foreign policy for the past 50 years has been this concept of regime change. Or just war. It's part of that just war doctrine. Well, with regime change, the West, the Western nations claim that they have, they are so morally superior, they have the right and the duty to remove government officials in other nations if they don't like them. Right, and this is endorsed by the majority of the evangelical community out there, too, right? So let's give an example

Let's give an example Saddam Hussein Right the tyrant we were told he was a tyrant. He was the ruler of Iraq We were told We the American people and the British people and others in the West, we were told he's evil. He's a tyrant. He must be eliminated. He must be replaced. We went to war against him. We captured him. We executed him. But was he a power ordained of God? But was he a power ordained of God?

If I don't look, I've never lived in Iraq, but I'm just imagining if I was an Iraqi, if I kept my nose out of politics, if I didn't interfere with the Iraqi government, if I didn't call Saddam Hussein names and criticize him and you know say ugly things about him if I just mind it my own business went to work every day or ran my business every day you know lived as a as a quiet Iraqi citizen, paid my taxes. I have a feeling doc, life was okay.

This Saddam Hussein wasn't out looking for you. I mean, why would he go after citizens who minded their own business, obeyed the laws, paid their taxes and stayed out of his politics? He didn't mess with you, did he? I'm assuming he didn't go after people just because he woke up in the morning and said, I gotta be a brutal tyrant today. I read it in the London Times.

I'm gonna have to gasp my own people today. No, I have a feeling that, and I'm just surmising that if you lived under his rulership, life was okay if you obeyed him. Isn't this what Paul's teaching? Just mind your own business. Let the rulers run the government. Just mind your own business. Let the rulers run the government. Well, if you really, all right. Okay, Doc, please, yeah, go ahead. Well, if we really wanna add context to this,

we can't ignore the last part of chapter 12 and the remainder of 13. Okay. Because what is Paul talking about in 12? About living life, being faithful, but enduring under persecution. So he was receiving persecution generally at the hands of the Jewish leaders, but that by extension also the Roman authorities too. Because the Jews were demanding that the Romans punish him.

And it's interesting that Paul, you know Takes these seven verses here and talks about this and then picks right back up at verse 8 on standard Christian living I Don't believe that Paul all of a sudden said oh by the way, I want to do a political commentary right now No, I think what Paul was doing here is saying this is it We were going to talk about living faithfully one another and loving one another, enduring under persecution. Let me explain how this works in the real world. We can't allow our Christian theologians and leaders today to put their own interpretation

on this. It has to be Paul's interpretation of it. And what Paul is saying here, this is just part of Christian living, to obey those in authority. Did Paul always obey those in authority? Did Paul do that is the question. Did Paul always obey those in authority?

When the Jewish leaders told him to preach, keep to stop preaching Jesus, he continued to preach Jesus, but they weren't government officials. Well, and that's the question that where does this authority extend to does is it only within the context of the political that we're talking about? I think he's talking about civil government officials. I think he's talking about First Peter too. But the Romans only arrested him when the Jews demanded it. And we see throughout the Book of Acts where the Roman leaders were going, why are we holding this man? He hasn't done anything wrong.

But if we release him, the Jews are going to kill him. Right. So, the Jews were not the government officials. And even in Jerusalem, they were not the government. They wanted a revolution. They rejected Jesus because he would not revolt. They chose Barabbas because Barabbas was a rebellious insurrectionist.

Right, they hated the Romans worse than anyone else. That's right. So Paul to me is teaching Christians to the best of your ability, just lay low. Right. Pay your taxes, obey the laws, and serve the Lord with all your heart. Right. But my point of view is that this was all within the context of persecution. They were being persecuted constantly. So it doesn't apply if there's no persecution?

Well, now that's the problem that comes up. If there's no persecution, how do we manage Romans 13? Well, then we start putting other things into it. Nowhere in this passage does it talk about warfare or just war or political parties or Donald Trump or anything like that. Nowhere in this passage. So when there is no persecution, how do you handle this? You can't, the modern folks would try to apply other things into this. I would maintain,

Paul was talking about within the context of persecution, how to live faithfully as a believer in the midst of persecution in the real world with dealing with governments. Well, if you're being persecuted, it's best not to resist it, not to fight it. But I don't see him talking about persecution in these verses. But you do in chapter 12. But you do over in chapter 12. Right.

And it's all one long passage, really. At least in my view. Okay, no, this is why I was saying at the beginning, we need to really talk this out and seek the mind of the Lord on these verses because they've been used wrongly by various factions over the years. Right. There are some people that use this in the church to suppress all political discussion. Yes. And that's wrong. We live right now here in America. We live in a free society where we are guaranteed by the constitution the

right to express our thoughts. But if you're in a country that does not have those rights, you can't do it. Right. So if you're in North Korea, how does Romans 13 apply to you as a believer? Is directly dealing with persecution there. Yes.

And it does in China and other places. Right. And that's where you draw the line. Like I will obey the government. I pay my taxes. I'll do what the government says Unless it contradicts the Word of God and then I'm willing to pay the price Okay, so that price if that price includes imprisonment or death. That's the price I pay in

Order to remain faithful to God right But otherwise I'm just going to be quiet and obey the government and ask the government to stay out of my private religious beliefs. I was reading today, Doc, I was doing research early this morning on the Chinese Communist Party, and under Xi Jinping, they are changing the Word of God in China. There has been a Bible allowed in China that is fairly accurate. But under Xi Jinping, they are gradually removing that Bible.

And for example, the episode with the woman caught in adultery, the Chinese communist version of the Bible, Jesus says to her, I'm a sinner too, like you. That's the spirit of Antichrist coming into the church. When you're in that kind of situation, you have to resist. You have to say what you're doing is contrary to the word of God and I will not submit to it. Everything else you want, I'll do it. But when you start changing the Word of God, when you start ordering me to say things that are not true, when you try to stop me from worshipping my God, I am willing

to die. Now it's easy if the government tells you to do something that is clearly against scripture. It's easy to resist that. If the government told you to kill somebody, you would resist, right? What about those things that aren't quite so clear? Let's just go a couple years back. I heard both sides of the argument on Romans 13 as it applies to the vaccine mandate. Okay, is there anything in scripture that says thou shall not be vaxxed? Of course not. Yes, yes, yes, there is. Yes, there is, Nock. Your body is the temple of God. So don't take any vaccines?

I think that's where you have to decide. You have to seek the Lord about whether the particular vaccine is harmful to your body. What was being mandated under the COVID rules was clearly a change to your body as designed by God. And I don't disagree with you on that, but it took us a while to figure that out too. And I think people were resistant to the vaccine more because of the tyranny of the government and the imposition of it rather than anything

else. That's what was my point. So the question now becomes, is it okay to disobey tyranny? That's where it gets tricky at this point. And can a just government be tyrannical? Lots of things in Romans 13 bring up questions about. No, I don't think a just government can be tyrannical. If it's tyrannical, it's no longer just. You're correct.

And so, you know, but we live in this country still. But to go back to Iraq, if you lived in Iraq and Saddam Hussein was a tyrant in the definition of the West, were you obligated to obey him if he didn't require you to do something that violated your conscience? Based on Romans 13, yes. All right. But the United States government said, we're gonna remove him, we're even gonna kill him.

And American Christians in the US Armed Forces killed Iraqis in order to carry out the foreign policy objectives of the US government, which was to bring about regime change in Iraq because the Israelis demanded it. So the Christians who joined the military and killed people, did they sin? Well, that's a whole other discussion. But I will say that the early church in the Didache would not allow soldiers to join the church unless they resigned their commission in the army, then they could join the church. So they had a different view of warfare than

we did. God didn't allow David to build the temple because his hands were bloody. The job went to his son Solomon. This is interesting. I hope our class is enjoying this discussion. Well, let's take another leader, Assad. Mr. Assad of Syria. Generally, the Christian community got along with Assad. From what I knew, they were praying for his protection Yes, and yet the rest of the world viewed Assad as you know as evil and

Had needed to be removed that he was gassing his own people, you know that the standard line that we hear But who really wanted who wanted him to removed? Israel yeah in Israel mainly yes, and they got Removing and they got what they wanted. Yes, and who mainly. Yes. They got what they wanted. And they got what they wanted. Yes. And who did we put in power? A terrorist. We put a terrorist in power. A true terrorist. A bona fide terrorist. He was called a terrorist. And the West is happy. Yes. And what happened after the terrorists got in power? We heard stories that the Christians in Syria were being persecuted. Yes

Don't believe the propaganda Let's look at verse 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resists the ordinance of God, and they that shall receive to themselves damnation." Modern English, therefore he who resists the authority resists God's ordinance, and those who resist will receive judgment to themselves. That's pretty strong, Doc, right? Whoever resists the authority resists God's ordinance and they receive damnation. You put damnation in a sentence, I'm going to perk up and pay attention.

in a sentence, I'm going to perk up and pay attention. I mean, that's one you pay attention to. Did you say damnation? Well, let's look at what this means, resisting. Whosoever resists the power. What power? The power of the authorities over you. That whosoever resists the power resists the ordinance of God. The Greek word is antitasso. This is where we get the prefix anti, antichrist.

What is antichrist? One who is against Christ. So this is where this word resist comes from. If you're anti, you're resisting. Antichrist resists Christ. Anti-tasso. To Rebellion. Rebellion against lawful authority. And so this verse is telling us to consider the gravity of defiance. Shall receive to themselves damnation. Speaks of the serious consequences of resistance. The Greek word is crema.

Yes. It means judgment, verdict, condemnation. verdict, condemnation. It, Doc, to me, the word has more relevance to like a civil court judgment than an eternal court decision from heaven regarding your soul. The meaning of the word, crema, it's used often in the Greek language referring to a verdict, a court decision. Although you could say this is a heavenly court decision, your soul's damned. But in the context, Paul is talking about practical Christian living in the real world.

Yes, and I agree. That first interpretation seems to fit better. Yes, I agree. I think he's talking here about, if you resist a lawful government, you will receive judgment. Something's going to happen to you. Look at the, I'm hesitant to venture into these things because they're so contentious.

Look at January 6, 2021, when hundreds of people entered the U.S. Capitol. That went beyond a protest. The police were, well, let's not even get into it. If you went in there, you went in there to oppose the government that was meeting inside that building. That was, that bordered on insurrection on a rebellion. The people who did it received a judgment. Many of them were sent to prison.

Mr. Trump pardoned them. Again I hesitate to use these examples. We could show it on the other side here in America, Antifa, Black Lives Matter, you know, protests that go beyond lawful protest. When you start breaking property, when you start pushing, shoving, hitting law enforcement officers. When you smash windows, right? That's not lawful protest. In any definition. Right.

That becomes a violent insurrection. So, to me doc, it appears that the declaration that resisting authority resists the ordinance of God means that the human authorities are instituted by God's sovereign will, and that established rulers for social order. And Christians are not permitted to resist the authorities at the level of seeking to overthrow the established order. I guess you could only again, the exception would be when

those rulers are harming the church, persecuting the church, opposing the will of God, If they're established by God for His will, then how can they be opposing His will? Correct. They become corrupt. I think that's where the danger of taking Romans 13 too far in the modern context and the modern interpretation. They would say, we'll go back to January 6, those that went in, if they were Christians, they would say that the Biden administration or the current order that was going on was unjust, that the election had been stolen from Donald Trump.

And so in their mind, based on Romans 13, what they were doing was right. I don't agree with it, but in their mind, that's where it takes you. And it takes you upon an individual interpretation of what you determined to be a righteous leader, righteous judge. And I think what Paul is trying to really get across in this passage is, listen, it's better for us to get along in the world, in the world where we're going to be persecuted and everything, it's best to do our very best as believers to be obedient, to be good citizens where it's possible to be good citizens,

and to live righteously in the midst of that. But if you take that too far, that some people will think in their mind, well, I should not be involved in politics at all. Nothing. I just do nothing involved with politics and, you know, not say anything ever. Just keep my conversation apolitical and just leave it at that. Which was the Charles Spurgeon position. That's right. Charles Spurgeon told his congregation, stay out of politics. You've got more important things to do.

Let them have their politics. Stay out of it. Stay focused on the kingdom of God. And there's merit to that. There's certainly a good argument for that. Doc, I'm getting... argument for that. Doc, I'm getting, this is my last week as you know, hosting True News. I'm getting ready to sign off on commenting about politics and world affairs.

I'm basically getting ready to go dark regarding current events. And I'll tell you, part of the reason that there's two reasons. Number one, the Lord has been telling me, take the remaining time that you have in your life and focus on my kingdom and my word and nothing else. Number two, I believe that things are going to change in this country and in the world very soon. And things are going to become extremely contentious and being identified with any political faction is going to become dangerous. And look at Paul here in this passage. There were

factions within the Roman Empire, of course there were factions within the Jewish community they had to deal with, the Sadducees and the Pharisees and the priests and everything else. But there are all sorts of different factions and everything. Paul doesn't talk about any of that here, does he? No. He doesn't talk about Caesar's foreign policy. He doesn't talk about the government of Syria at the time and their oppression of the saints. No, he exalts authority. So in that position, Doc, that is, that would be

taking the side of just stay out of all of it. Because there's nothing in the New Testament scriptures about the Christians involved in political affairs. Right. Now, if the Roman government had elections, I'm sure Paul would have participated in them, but he would have been quiet sure Paul would have participated in them, but he would have been quiet.

He would have voted because he would have carried out his duty. Because voting would have, he would have said, well, voting is part of your civil duty, so go do it. But don't get involved in the contentious, argumentative, political debates and rivalry. Just stay, remember, if at all possible, live at peace with all people. You can't live at peace right now in America and be involved in politics.

You cannot do it. It's the most contentious season I've ever seen in my lifetime. You have to, well, just with Mr. Trump, President Trump, the climate that's in this country is you have to either love him all the way, almost like a king, or you have to hate him like a dictator. There's no middle ground. None. That's the climate that we're in right now. Is that where God wants his church? That's the question. I hear the Lord

say come on up higher Rick, come on up higher and talk about heavenly things. You spent enough time telling the people what's happening, calling them to repent and change things. They didn't repent and they didn't change things. And some hardcore Manga affiliated Christians will say, no, Rick, we're winning. We're winning. Look, we've got Mr. Trump in the White House. Our side's winning. Well, are you saying we've become more righteous? We're a better nation morally? We're certainly not better morally, are we?

No. What morality has changed for us? So how are we winning? How are we winning if we're not more moral? See, this is the danger of political mixing politics and religion. I did 26 years at True News. I would love the Lord to give me another 26 years. That would make me 97. Could you handle it? Imagine Rick at 96.

What do you say? Could you imagine? They say he's still out there. He's still talking. He hasn't stopped talking his whole life. But I would, I'd like to have another 26 years and now just talk only about the kingdom. You know how many different politicians would be here between now and the next 26 years? And would we be met better morally because of the political discussion?

No. No. We're on a downhill side, folks. You understand that. Right. The whole world is going downhill till Christ comes back. That's the reason he comes back. To call it into this insanity. If we were getting getting better he wouldn't have to come back

That's right Why would he mess up a good thing? If we were moving in the right direction, he wouldn't have to come back He comes back because the father cuts the day short because if he didn't know flesh would survive Right. That's how wicked the world is going to become. And you want to be in there arguing over who is the most wicked or the least wicked. See isn't that what our debates now? We're really arguing over who is the most wicked and the least wicked.

There's no arguing about whether they're wicked. Yeah, now we're arguing over who is highly wicked or just moderately wicked. How about no wickedness? That's why I don't wanna be in this anymore. I just wanna talk about Jesus and his kingdom So Romans first, how many may it's we get this second verse doc I did all this work for seven verses today. We're still on number two

So verse two warns against resisting government authority. It urges believers to live with faithful submission but respecting God's commandments as supreme. That's the way I see it. I don't know, Doc, you might have a different view on this. No, I don't disagree with you at all. It's a challenge for individual believers to decide at what point are they going to remain involved in the current political discussion. discussion, not being in violation of the law or anything like that, but how much of the political discussion and everything does it benefit the kingdom?

I mean, really, when you get right down to it. And Paul, you know, when Paul was arrested, he didn't resist arrest. When he was brought before Festus, he called Festus, good Festus. Yes. And so, you know, this wasn't something he lived out. This is something he practically did. He didn't come before Festus and say, you know, this whole place is a sham, the court's a sham, it's a kangaroo court, you've got the, you're already favoring the Jews.

You didn't hear Paul say any of that. He said, but he's- And I know how you got your position. I know the crooked way. And so, but he didn't address any of that. He recognized that there was an authority that was in place. He recognized that it was an authority that God had allowed to be in place, and yet God used that authority, used Festus. We're talking back in Acts chapter 25. Used Festus in order to allow Paul to honor the kingdom of God. That's where this is at.

It's all about where are you a citizen at? Are you a citizen of the United States of America or are you a citizen of the kingdom of God? Paul was both a citizen of heaven and a citizen of Rome, but he did not allow his Roman citizenship to trump his kingdom citizenship. He was a kingdom citizen first. In modern evangelicalism, we put our American citizenship ahead of our kingdom citizenship. That's right. Now, that's where I'm at, Doc. That's where I'm at. I've been watching this pattern for years, and I have to make a definitive statement and just declare I am not participating in this political debate

anymore. One of the disadvantages of Christians being extremely active in politics is the gospel is then tainted with political ideology. Yeah. And so you have you have people in another political camp who will no longer listen to the gospel because they think they have to change their political views in order to be saved. Isn't that what we've done here at America? How can a Christian who is identified with the so-called political right, how can you witness the gospel in a loving way to somebody on the left who knows your political affiliations because they're sitting there the whole time thinking, I disagree with you about everything.

Therefore, what you're telling me about Jesus can't be true. Right. Haven't we done a disservice to the gospel? What do we say as Christians when we wrap the American flag around the Christian cross and go galloping around the world bombing nations? How is that glorifying Christ? I'm telling you, I'm separating myself from it. You have to blame this Bible study, Rick. I know. Look what it did to me.

Look what more I can do. Man I have to be honest with you, Rick. I was chewing on these verses all weekend long. And we were shopping at Sam's Club Saturday morning. And just all of a sudden out of the blue, the Lord just asked me a question, where are you a citizen? I'm just out of the blue. You know, I've been chewing on this Friday night and into Saturday, and then I'm in the produce aisle at Sam's Club and Lord just drops in and says, where are you a citizen? And that really gave me,

started thinking about this whole passage a lot differently. Yes. Because as a believer, my citizenship is with heaven. That's right. With heaven first. because as a believer, my citizenship is with heaven. That's right. With heaven first. And I would say only. Anything else is just trappings in this world. Yes.

Paul was a kingdom citizen, but he carried a Roman passport. Yes. And he had no problems whipping it out when it was to his advantage. He certainly did. But he didn't go around the world promoting Roman Empire. And he didn't seek to overthrow Caesar. Right.

He had more important things to do than be involved in Roman politics. He didn't ignore Caesar, but he wasn't fighting against him either. That's right. And this is where I think the church should be in the year 2025. I know that just evokes tremendous screams and moans from people who are deeply involved

in politics right now, but it's not getting us anywhere with the kingdom. Let's try to do one more verse before I close out. Verse 3, for rulers are not a terror to good works but to the evil. Will thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good and thou shall have praise of the same. World English Bible, for rulers are not a terror to the good work but to the evil.

Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good and you will have praise from the same. The verse is affirming that God-ordained government authorities are intended to promote good and restrain evil and uphold order in society. and restrain evil and uphold order in society. And if there's to be any tyrannical aspect to them, it's to be against evil, at least a just ruler. Evil should fear a just ruler.

I don't think there's any argument about that at all. The question is, when a ruler is not just, where do you draw the line? And that's the argument a lot of people make. Let's talk about law enforcement. Law enforcement officers are ministers of God. Right. If you're called to law enforcement, you were called by God. I don't know if you know that, if you're a law enforcement officer, you have a calling from the Lord. You're a minister to maintain order in society, to protect good people from bad people. You have a duty. When I see a police officer, I'm not afraid.

I don't have terror. I don't go, oh no, there's a police officer. But if I was doing something bad, something wrong, then I'd be afraid of the police, right? That's right. When I see police officers, I feel good. Hey, here are men and women who are here to protect me, to hold the society together in order so that we don't have anarchy and chaos. They're not my enemies. They're not my... They're good. But I'm not going about doing evil,

so I have no reason to be afraid of a police officer. Will thou then be afraid of the power? No, if I'm obeying the laws, I'm not afraid of the power. Right, and Paul says that, do that which is good, and you'll have praise of those in authority. No one's gonna be upset with you if you do good. Even bad people will respect people who do good things. You should have a good report among government authorities in your community.

The local police officers, the government officials, city council members, various government officials, if they know your name, you should have a good report. There's a man or woman who obeys the law, who helps the community. It is a contribution to the community. You want to have a good report. And you should honor them. You should respect them.

One of the things I learned from you, Rick, just observing you over the years, how many times we've been at different places traveling or just out and about where if you saw a table with some officers there, some police officers where you've offered to pay for their meal, breakfast, lunch, or whatever it is, and how grateful they are, How grateful they are. And they'll even say, you know what, it's rare that something like this happens. Because normally people ignore us or avoid us or anything. But we really, really appreciate it. You've got me in that habit now of doing that. I try to do it secretly, but usually the waiter or waitress tells the police officers who paid for their meal and then they come over to my table to express their gratitude.

But yeah, those are the kind of things that we should do. And again, I try to keep it secret. I'm not trying to court favor with the police. I just went on honoring them. And, you know, for example, when we were in our church building, we had, you know, a 10-acre complex and a large building that we sold a couple years ago. But when the fire marshal, the deputy would show up, But when the fire marshal deputy would show up, it was a woman who was doing our inspections about every six months, I always brought her in my office and said, you come and tell me anything that's wrong here,

and I will get it fixed immediately. You and I are on the same page, all right? I don't want this building to burn down. If you see something wrong, you tell me. And so I did my best to have a good relationship with the fire marshal deputy. It actually later changed and it's another story. I think somebody with a lot of power tried to use the fire marshal against us. And we were put in a very difficult situation. But that's a different story. But the point I'm making is I wanted the government officials

to know, I'm not here trying to break rules and regulations. I'm here to work with you. You're doing your job and I want you to do your job. And I'll cooperate with you. Have that kind of attitude towards any government official who comes to your home, your business, that, hey, you have your job to do and I will work with you. Okay, I'm not in opposition to you doing your job.

I'm not hiding my books. I'm not concealing revenue that I didn't pay taxes. I was just, tell me what you need. Guess what? You'll get a lot of cooperation. They'll have a different attitude towards you. When they see you're not resisting, you're not hiding, you're not doing something contrary to the law or the regulations. They'll go easy on you.

Do you think that Paul was constantly haranguing and criticizing the Roman soldiers who were chained to him as they were taking him to Rome? Oh, he was leading them to Christ. He put them up in his apartment. Fed them. Yes. But they were there for all of his Bible studies. That's right. They had you know, Paul was telling him I love you guys. I love you. He said we're here. He was saying, I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with me.

That's right. That's right. He saw them as the prisoners. He was free, even though he had a chain on him. Do that which is good. Pursue good work for honor, authority, and God. Okay, we'll pick it up tomorrow at verse 4. Amen. Well, we appreciate you being here with us today. This is a tough chapter to wade through because there's been a lot of different views on it through, not just in the modern sense, but down through church history. And they've gone through different extremes on this view here on Romans 13. And so there's this process of sorting through this and getting to a discernment.

What is the Holy Spirit saying to us today? That's the real question. How is the Spirit speaking to us in understanding and discerning this passage in the light of other scripture, in the light of church history, and in practical application of the word of God, living out our Christian life and dealing with things like governments and political powers and things like that. And so,

spend some time meditating on this passage tonight and come back here tomorrow. I'm sure you'll have questions and some things we hope to be able to address.
