Many of the bodies were naked and the victim's hands were tied. Doc Burkhart and I will have more on this story later in today's True News. First, however, I want to bring to your attention a stunning article published this morning in London by the Financial Times. The article says that artificial intelligence-driven bots will replace most humans in call centers worldwide, listen to this, in the next 12 months. I'm Rick Wiles. This is True News for Thursday, April 25th, 2024. And before we begin discussing our headlines for today, Doc, I have an update on my congressional campaign.

The Florida Secretary of State this morning certified my name as an official candidate. My name will appear on the Florida Republican Party primary on August 20th. I was standing by waiting because officially we were listed on the Secretary of State's office website as active. And it requires the Secretary of State to certify, verify, that each candidate who is applied to run for office is qualified. And it's the Secretary of State's approval saying this is a legitimate candidate. The candidate has met all the requirements, and his or her name will appear on the ballot.

So my name will be on the ballot. And this is the ballot for August 20th. August 20th is the Republican primary in the state of Florida. And I'm running in House District 21. And there are, of course, the incumbent is Congressman Brian Mast, also Republican. There are two other Republican candidates who have filed, but they have not been certified. And tomorrow is the deadline. 5 p.m. Friday is the deadline. Nobody else can join the race after 5 p.m. tomorrow. They have to be certified by 5 p.m. tomorrow. I mean, you're cutting it very close. You have to get to Tallahassee, file your documents, and you either pay a fee or you present petitions. And so the time is very short for more candidates to get in the race.

If the other two candidates are not certified, then the only names on the ballot for the Republican nomination for House will be Brian Mast and myself. There's one Democrat running.

He has no opponent. But that's going to be in the general. Yes, so he'll win the Democratic primary by default because nobody has filed against him. And then that would be the Democrat that either Mr. Mast or myself would face in November. So that's the status. And I'm now an official candidate.

So how does it feel to be an official candidate for Congress? Doc, as I said yesterday, I honestly have never thought about doing this. If I have to blame anybody, it would be my dear old Uncle Grover. I'd have to blame him. Why would you have to blame anybody, it would be my dear old Uncle Grover. I'd have to blame him. Why would you have to blame Grover? And he's been gone. He's been in heaven for a long, long time. I'm talking about my great uncle, Grover Cleveland Hall, named after President Grover Cleveland.

Because Grover Cleveland was in the White House when he was born. Okay. And Uncle Grover was my hero as a kid in the family. He was just a rock-solid Christian man. And, you know, I make jokes that when Uncle Grover prayed at Thanksgiving, even the turkey bowed his head, you know, he had that type of commanding presence. But when I was a boy, I had a child, I'm talking four, five, six years old. I still have memories of him. He would set me on his knee and he'd interrupt everybody in the house,

house full of relatives. And when Uncle Grover spoke, everybody got quiet. And I have memories of this. At age four and five, he'd put me on his knee and he'd go, everybody, listen, listen to me. This boy is going to go to Washington.

And that was back in the 50s he was saying that to me. You know, I didn't, obviously, I didn't even understand what he was talking about. Right. You know, I said, well, what is, you know, where is Washington? I had no idea as a kid. I don't think anybody in that room, in that house, believed it either. I was just a little Ricky Wiles, four years old,

five years old. But it was like Uncle Grover was prophesying something. I never pursued this at all in my life. And here I am now at this stage of my life and suddenly it's like God's activating

this word in my life. And so I'm a candidate now. And, you know, it's a different time, a different season in my life. Life is made up of seasons. And things that you did at one season of your life is different than what you'll do at another season. Well, each season prepares you for the next one. Yes, and so I've had 25 years of studying national and international issues,

and I'm not going to have any difficulty sitting in the House of Representatives understanding issues. So the preparation is done. And we'll just have to see what the Lord has in store. I don't like second place. It's just not something I like. I know that's the case with you. I like first place. So, Rick, what happens next at this point for you? I mean, do you have to go out and make appearances? Sure, sure.

Knock on doors? What happens? Yeah, now the campaign starts. Mr. Mass has millions of dollars in the bank already. The American-Israel Political Action Committee is one of his biggest donors. Mr. Mass is absolutely one of the highest darlings of the Zionist lobby in America. And he has millions of dollars in his bank account right now. I'm starting with a few thousand dollars from my own pocket.

That's it. So in the natural, we're handicapped. You know, I'm just going to believe that there are thousands of people, not only here in Florida, but across the country that, number one, want me to be elected. And number two, want Brian Mass to be defeated. He's very, very controversial. Even among Republicans. Among Republicans. So this may turn out to be the most watched House race in 2024. So if there are people watching or listening, Rick, and they want to get involved with your campaign, either by helping with finances or even volunteering for the campaign, what what do they need to do?

Well, first of all, they cannot they cannot give through True News. True News is a nonprofit. You can't do that at all. Right. There will be absolutely no no support from from True News. So we need to raise a lot of money immediately in the coming weeks just to get started. But anyhow, I'll keep you guys posted. I'm going to be here every day doing true news. I'm going to continue doing morning manna. And nothing's going to change. I'll be, I'll be campaigning in the afternoon and the

evenings and you won't see any difference here as far as true news. I might be doing true news from my home or some other remote location to save a little bit of time, but I'll still, I'll still be here. Yes. All right. And when I go to Washington, I'll still continue. I'll just do the news from Washington. Nothing will change. God's just going to put me in a different position. That's all. He's just going to reposition me. That's what I believe is happening. And I'll just humbly wait and rest and see how the Lord makes it happen. All right. So this story, Financial Times, AI could kill off most call centers.

Now, this statement was made by the chief of India's IT company, Tata Consultancy Services, one of the biggest call center companies in the world. And what he's saying here is that call centers will be obsolete in the next 12 months. Now, this is significant because Tata manages call centers, multiple call centers in the Philippines, in India, in Singapore. And so they are probably the largest call center management company in the world. So this is significant coming out of him. The head of Tata Consultancy has said artificial intelligence will result in minimal need for call centers in as soon as a year, with AI's rapid advance is set to upend a vast industry across Asia and beyond. The gentleman you see there is Mr. Krithi Vassa.

He's the TCS chief executive. And speaking to the Financial Times said that we have not seen any job reduction so far, but wider adoption of generative AI among multinational clients would overhaul the kind of customer help centers that have created mass employment opportunities in countries such as India and the Philippines. He also said in an ideal phase, if you ask me, there should be very minimal incoming call centers having incoming calls at all, he said. We're in a situation where the technology should be able minimal incoming call centers having incoming calls at all, he said. We're in a situation where the technology should be able to predict a call coming and then proactively address the customer's pain point. Think about what he just said.

Yeah, anticipate the customer's call. Think about that. There will not be a need for calls to come in. Right. Because AI is going to know that you're going to call. Yes. And have the answer waiting for you. It'll be proactive intelligence.

It'll know what your problem is. Before you know it. Before you know it. Now, he said that chatbots would soon be able to analyze a customer's transaction history and do much of the work done by call center agents now. That's where we're going. I don't think we're there today, but maybe a year or so down the line. Now, in India, this is a global hub for back office services. More than 5 million people work in IT and business process outsourcing.

TCS, an arm of India's Tata conglomerate that works with multinationals to develop their IT systems, has more than 600,000 employees of its own and annual revenues of nearly $30 billion. Now, the company has reported that its pipeline of generative AI products doubled quarter over quarter to be worth $90 million by the end of March of this year. Mr. Krithi Vasan said he expected that flow to increase significantly and almost keep on doubling over the next few quarters. So this is just one segment of the total global corporate profile that's out there right now that's being directly impacted by artificial intelligence. That whole industry now is being upended here over the next 12 to 24 months, Rick,

where you could see millions of people replaced in the employment sector by artificial intelligence. Just one small sector of corporate society. So this CEO, this owner of this Indian IT company, Tata Consultancy, just his one division, TCS, has 600,000 employees in call centers. Yes, that's just in India there. In India, 600,000.

And what he's saying today is, in 12 months, we won't need them. We will not need. In 12 months, Doc, not 12 years. Yes. In 12 months. By April of 2025, this man's company will terminate the jobs of 600,000 people in India. But this will happen in not just India, any place that there's a call center in the world.

Right. So I lived in the Philippines for several years. Lots of call centers in the Philippines. I mean, it is a hub really for a lot of companies outsource their call centers to the Philippines. If you've had a call to a call center or anything, you probably recognize maybe the accent of some folks from the Philippines. That would totally disrupt industry in the Philippines.
