Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm Jake, but my friends call me Moose Jaw. I'm a blacksmith, and I like to work with my hands. I watch True News, and it's apparent to me that we are in World War III, and the U.S. is very unstable. I have faith in God, but He expects us to use our brains and our hands to prepare for troubled times. There are two things we need, food and water. That's why I buy my supplies from AmericanReserves.com.
Starting point is 00:00:30 American Reserves offers easy to prepare chicken and beef meals, pastas, soups and vegetables that only need boiling water. You can purchase the world famous British Burkefield gravity fed water filters equipped with Dalton ceramic handles and other emergency supplies at AmericanReserves.com. My family's security is critical to me. Something big is coming. Procrastination could be costly. Act today before a crisis suddenly appears.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Be ready. Be wise. Go to AmericanReserves.com. Half of America's car dealerships have been crippled by a severe hacker attack on a company that provides back-end online services to dealers to process sales of cars and trucks. Meanwhile, Israel's top diplomat warned today that the Jewish country is close to making a final decision about attacking Lebanon. I'm Doc Burkhart. Today is Friday, June 21st, 2024. Rick Wiles is joining us from his home this afternoon. Good evening, Rick. Good afternoon. Hey, Doc. How are you?
Starting point is 00:01:47 I'm doing well today. Ready to talk about the stories that we've gathered today. It is a full day. It has been. It seems like I started my morning here in this position. For morning man, I'm back again and sitting at the same spot. Hey, by the way, we had a delay getting True News out today. We had a glitch.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Apologize for that. Took us a while to get things worked out, but we're back as normal. And I also want to tell you that I had dinner last night with Roger Stone, and we recorded the interview interview and we will release it next week. I'll let you know which day. We'll get it out as soon as we can. But it was a fascinating evening with Mr. Stone. And we recorded the interview
Starting point is 00:02:38 in a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. It was a different experience for us doing True News, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, and Roger was a wonderful dinner guest for us last night. So, Doc, here we are. We've got a major cyber attack underway. It's not the only one. There are many cyber attacks happening. If you just search in online news, cyber attack, it's staggering how many articles pop up.
Starting point is 00:03:12 There are more cyber attacks underway than I can report. But the big one that we're starting out with is a cyber attack on car dealerships. And about half of the car dealerships in America have been crippled for the past several days because they can't do any back-end processing of car deals. All the things that have to be done for financing and titling and taxes and everything, it's all shut down. And we have a story here that gives you some information about it. Yes. So CDK Global, which provides software solutions to nearly 15,000 car dealerships around the country, announced that on June 19th that it had shut down most of its systems while investigating a cyber attack.
Starting point is 00:04:02 The company that provides the dealer management, retail, customer relationship management, finance and insurance, network and communication, and intelligence services. Dealerships use CDK products to sell cars and car parts as well as for a wide range of other operations, and the cyber attack has caused significant disruptions for many companies. While some have resorted to pen and paper, others said that they were just simply forced, Rick, to halt most of their operations. And we see in this article from Bloomberg, CDK is telling car dealers that their systems, Rick, will likely be down for days as well. It's a major hit.
Starting point is 00:04:46 I mean, the car dealership industry, what is it, a $1.5 trillion business collectively? So it's a significant hit to the economy. You have some of these dealers who are doing their transactions the old-fashioned way. They're writing paper contracts. They're calculating interest with calculators. They're doing it the old way, but they're getting the
Starting point is 00:05:16 sales done. I've got a tweet here, Doc. This is a tweet from CDK, or I think it's somebody, it's a car dealer news service that's retweeting a message from CDK. And it says there, this is CDK cyber attack day two. After several DMS customers made it back online yesterday, CDK has shut their system down again today. And this is being Friday. To make matters worse, the company has said they are not bringing the systems back online today. Is this the most costly hack in automotive history? Now, Rick, 75% of all car sales occur Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And so we're heading into the weekend here. And now the CDK is down
Starting point is 00:06:06 at least for days, they're saying. And so this is going to significantly impact the car dealerships around the country in what is usually some of their busiest sales seasons going on right now. Well, that means at least 15,000 car dealerships are not going to make their June quota. Yes, that's right. So auto retailers are likely to be without software services to run dealerships for several more days following that second major cyber attack. So there's actually been two. The system first went down on June 19th. At this time, we do not have an estimated time frame for resolution, and therefore our dealer systems will not be available likely for several days, the company said in a communication sent to customers late on Thursday that has been reviewed by Bloomberg.
Starting point is 00:06:59 And so this has been a significant hit to car dealerships, but it's not the only hack that is going on. Wait until you see the next article. The Telegraph, London, GPS jammed on commercial flight over Atlantic for the first time. This one is scary. It is. A plane's GPS was jammed on a commercial transatlantic route for the first time, raising fears thousands of other flights
Starting point is 00:07:30 are at risk of being deliberately hacked. The flight from Madrid to Toronto is likely to have been deliberately targeted rather than being accidentally caught in the usual spillover of electronic warfare, one analyst said.
Starting point is 00:07:49 The Telegraph said the suspected cyber attack happened in the northeastern Atlantic when a pilot reported being blocked from ascending to a higher altitude because the GPS of the aircraft above them had been jammed, according to the Institute for the Study of War, Think Tank. And he goes on to say that the cause of the jamming has not yet been identified, but GPS jamming has been recently reported over Poland and the Baltic region and attributed to Russian electronic warfare. If GPS jamming becomes frequent over the Atlantic Ocean,
Starting point is 00:08:31 then thousands of flights per day could be impacted with delays in cancellation, the foundation said. Yes, and it went on to say, Rick, that Todd Humphrey is an expert on satellite navigation, said the incident appeared to be a more deliberate attack against commercial aircraft rather than the usual spillover, as we mentioned earlier. He said it could be individual hackers who have learned from media reports how vulnerable commercial aircraft are to GPS jamming. It's hard to see why a state actor would do this, though I don't deny that Russia's penchant for hybrid warfare that involves creating whatever mayhem it can in the West. And you see who they're laying their feet at right now. And I don't deny it could be. Well, no, you know, look, I've never been one to instantly jump at pointing the finger at Russia and say the Russians did it, you know, because we've seen this over the years. You know, Putin did everything. Putin created toenail fungus.
Starting point is 00:09:34 He did everything. But ever since Dmitry Medvedev last week published his hit list, you now have to assume the Russians did it. Right. I mean, he said they were going to do it. I mean, he came right out and said it. And so now you have to assume it. Yeah, he said, mayhem is my name. We're going to create, we're going to make your life hell.
Starting point is 00:10:01 So commercial airliners having no GPS navigation, just imagine sitting in a jetliner over the Atlantic and not knowing that the crew in the cockpit has no idea where they're at. That's a frightening thought, isn't it? Yeah, it is. That is a very frightening thought, isn't it? Yeah, it is. That is a very frightening thought. So that's the kind of electronic warfare we're going to see becoming frequent in the weeks and months ahead. Medvedev said we're going after everything. We're going to turn your life into a hellish nightmare. And so I have to assume this is part of it.
Starting point is 00:10:52 We got an update on the story we did a couple days ago about Israel. You know, one of their chief electric grid executives made a comment and said, you know, if a war starts with Hezbollah in Lebanon, Israel can't survive more than 72 hours without electricity. He said life in this country would be untenable. Well, you and I had this discussion after the show. We said, why did he say that
Starting point is 00:11:29 publicly? Well, that man has been reprimanded in Israel for speaking out. And he's trying to walk it back, but the damage is done. This article, Times of Israel. Israel unprepared for full-blown war with Hezbollah, says senior electricity official. Yes, but that's not all in the story either, is it? No. It says Israel is not prepared for the damage its electricity infrastructure would sustain if a full-scale war were to break out with Hezbollah. The head of the company responsible for planning the country's electrical systems warned on Thursday, though he later cast that remark as irresponsible.
Starting point is 00:12:20 So he condemned himself. That's right. This is what he said. This is Sho Goldstein, who leads Israel's Independent System Operator Limited, known by its Hebrew initials NOGA, N-O-G-A. We are not in good shape, he said, and we are not prepared for real war. We are living in a fantasy. We cannot promise electricity if there is a war in the north. After 72 hours without electricity, it will be impossible to live here. We are not prepared for a real war. And then what really got himself in trouble, Doc, he talked about, he mentioned Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah. And he said this at a conference in Israel. decides to neutralize Israel's power grid. He only needs to pick up the phone and call the
Starting point is 00:13:27 head of Beirut's power grid, which is largely identical to Israel's. And then the article says, after his comment began grabbing headlines, Goldstein sought to walk back some of them, telling the Israeli public broadcaster, quote, I made irresponsible remarks that I shouldn't have. In other words, he got he got a Company, which implements Noga's plans, called Goldstein's words irresponsible and detached from reality, accusing him of unnecessarily sowing panic. The state of Israel will not be left in the dark. The odds of a power outage lasting days are very low, Energy Minister Eli Cohen tweeted in response,
Starting point is 00:14:25 we prepare for all scenarios, Cohen said. So the possibility is there. Let me ask you, Doc, if you were an Israeli, who would you believe, Mr. Goldstein or Mr. Cohen? Probably Mr. Goldstein you got it he spoke the truth and then he realized oops what I said in this conference got published worldwide now
Starting point is 00:14:57 let's take a look at how fast things are descending into another war in the Middle East. I-24, Israeli foreign minister says necessary decisions on Hezbollah forthcoming. This story just came out hours ago. The foreign minister, Mr. Katz. Israel Katz, yes. Yes, Israel Katz issued a tweet on X and told us that the Israeli government is very close
Starting point is 00:15:37 to making the decision to invade Lebanon. Yes. It says in his tweet, Israel cannot allow the Hezbollah terror organization to continue attacking its territories and citizens, and soon we will make the necessary decisions. The free world must unconditionally stand with Israel in its war against the axis of evil led by Iran and extremist Islam. Our war is also your war, and Nazareth's threat to Cyprus is just the beginning. Evil must be defeated, as history has proven in the past. And so there's – and in this tweet, he also mentions Cyprus, which we'll be talking about here in just a moment.
Starting point is 00:16:17 But I think the decision's already been made, Rick. Do you think the same thing? I do, too, and I think both sides have made the decision. Ynet News in Israel, Nasrallah, again, the leader of Hezbollah in Lebanon, threatens to invade Galilee. Doc, this is like we're reading biblical headlines. Yeah, the Romans are moving in. Can you imagine headlines in the first century?
Starting point is 00:16:46 But this is the 21st century. And here's Hezbollah. And then he warns Cyprus. Yes, and this is something that I caught late yesterday afternoon, and it piqued my curiosity. How did Cyprus get involved in all of this? Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah addressed the war with Israel, stating in a speech that an invasion of Galilee remains on the table if the confrontation escalates. Now, Nasrallah also threatened Cyprus for the first time for allowing Israel to use its airports and bases for military exercises.
Starting point is 00:17:25 And so now we're hearing like the same thing that's coming from Vladimir Putin, you know, in attacks on Ukraine. We'll go to the source where these attacks are coming from. And Hezbollah is now warning Israel the same thing. Yes. And they're warning Cyprus, your airports, your military bases can become targets. So the war, if this thing breaks out into a war, it's going to extend beyond Lebanon and Israel. Yes.
Starting point is 00:18:01 Jerusalem Post plunged the region into war. The United States and Egypt worked to prevent an Israel-Lebanon catastrophe. Yes. This article from Jerusalem Post states that recently Egyptian government officials held talks with their counterparts in the U.S. to curb the escalation in the north, as reported Friday in the Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese newspaper Al-Akbar. According to the report, a senior Egyptian official was quoted in the newspaper saying that the talks with Washington focused on the catastrophic consequences for various parties in the event of a war in the region.
Starting point is 00:18:40 The Egyptians have argued that Nasrallah's statements must be taken seriously. And according to the same Egyptian source, Washington sought to prevent the expansion of the war and believed that the current issue was no longer who fired the first shot, but the Americans, that they are preparing to urgently send a high-level delegation to meet with Israeli officials and conduct a regional tour aimed at preventing the outbreak of war. The, meanwhile, Egyptian intelligence director, Abbas Kamal, will take a more prominent role in the Lebanese case in the coming days, which may lead to the dispatch of an Egyptian intelligence delegation to Beirut soon. And so now we see that the U.S. and Egypt are taking this threat of Hezbollah and conflict with Israel as a very real possibility within the coming days or weeks, Rick. Yes. And, Doc, all these countries know that once a war breaks out, that it's not going to be restricted to just Lebanon and Israel. It has the potential to spread into Egypt, to Jordan, to Iraq. To Cyprus. And to Cyprus.
Starting point is 00:20:08 The United Nations chief, Antonio Guterres, today warned, this is Reuters, the UN chief warns Lebanon cannot become another gaza and i i watched his press conference and he uh he made a plea to israel and lebanon do not start this war this is another catastrophe don't let it happen let's watch i felt compelled today to voice my profound concerns about escalation between Israel and Hezbollah along the blue line. Escalation in continued exchanges of fire and escalation in bellicose rhetoric from both sides as if an all-out war was imminent. The risk for the conflict in the Middle East to widen is real and must be avoided. One rash
Starting point is 00:21:14 move, one miscalculation could trigger a catastrophe that goes far beyond the border and frankly beyond imagination. Let's be clear, the people of the region na fronteira e, francamente, além da imaginação. Tens of thousands of people have been displaced and homes and livelihoods have been destroyed. Bushfires sparked by explosions are further devastating communities and the environment. Unexploded ordnance and remnants of war litter the landscape.
Starting point is 00:21:59 And this poses additional threats to people in both Israel and Lebanon and to United Nations and humanitarian personnel. The parties must urgently recommit to the full implementation of Security Council Resolution 1701 and immediately return to a cessation of hostilities. Civilians must be protected. Children, journalists and medical workers should never be targeted. And displaced communities must be able to return to their homes. The world must say loudly and clearly, immediate de-escalation is not only possible, it is essential.
Starting point is 00:22:42 There is no military solution. Further military escalation will only guarantee more suffering, more devastation to communities in Lebanon and Israel, and more potentially catastrophic consequences for the region. It's time for reason and rationality. But you're not going to get it. Because there's a plan in place, Rick. Yeah, and there's war fever. Yes. There are just times in the history of the world that men want war. And nothing's going to stop it. And we're in one of those phases now.
Starting point is 00:23:28 World leaders want war. Doc, on another topic is somewhat related to the Middle East because it has to do with Gaza. This is one of those stories that if you would have said to me a year ago, Rick, what are the chances you're going to report that Wikipedia is going to ban the Anti-Defamation League as a reliable expert? And I would have said, yeah, right, in a fantasy dream. But look at this from the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. ADL faces Wikipedia ban over reliability concerns on Israel and anti-Semitism. That's all they deal with, Rick. Those two items are the only thing
Starting point is 00:24:16 on the ADL list. If they can't be reliable on those two things, then what is their existence all about? This is far left Wikipedia. Yes. Wikipedia. The editors at Wikipedia have woke up and realized you can't believe the ADL. This is really good news.
Starting point is 00:24:44 Oh yeah, I agree. It's good news. Oh, yeah, I agree. It's great news. Yeah, let's read what the JTA reported. So Wikipedia's editors have voted to declare the Anti-Defamation League generally unreliable on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, adding it to a list of banned and partially banned sources. An overwhelming majority of editors involved in the debate about the ADL also voted to deem the organization unreliable on the topic of anti-Semitism, its core focus.
Starting point is 00:25:14 A formal declaration on the count is expected next. Now, the decision about Israel-related citations made last week means that one of the most prominent and longstanding Jewish advocacy groups in the United States, and one historically seen as the leading U.S. authority on anti-Semitism, is now grouped together with the National Enquirer, Newsmax, and Occupy Democrats as a source of propaganda or misinformation in the eyes of the online encyclopedia. Moreover, in a near consensus, dozens of Wikipedia editors involved in the discussion said they believe the ADL should not be cited for factual information on anti-Semitism as well because it acts primarily
Starting point is 00:25:59 as a pro-Israel organization and tends to label legitimate criticism of Israel as anti-Semitism. Did they drink something in the water over Wikipedia that suddenly brain cells started firing again, Rick? Doc, it gives me hope that my Wikipedia page might be cleaned up. Yes. Because it's built primarily on ADL propaganda. That's right. Well, it's another piece of evidence that Netanyahu's genocide has destroyed Zionism.
Starting point is 00:26:41 He has delivered a fatal blow to the cause of Zionism so much so that Wikipedia no longer believes the ADL I don't think they'll ever get back what they had before unfortunately thousands of children think they'll ever get back what they had before. Unfortunately,
Starting point is 00:27:10 thousands of children had to die for the ADL to die. Isn't that sad? Thousands of Palestinian children had to die so that the credibility of the ADL would die. Doc, I want to change subjects to bird flu. It's all World War III. This is all in-time news. We're just covering different aspects of last day news.
Starting point is 00:27:45 So here's Newsweek today, no, yesterday. Bird flu outbreak. Why experts say egg prices could skyrocket. Well, the folks over at Newsweek are starting to understand what we've been telling our true news audience for months. There's going to be a shortage of eggs. Yes. And we're already seeing it.
Starting point is 00:28:11 You know, what we're going to talk about here in a minute with milk. But egg prices are going to go up for the simple reason is egg supply will go down. It's just supply and demand. And then when the panic buying starts, when the food processors start purchasing massive amounts of eggs, and that's the way this will happen. Right. We like to buy up. Go ahead. I was going to say, my wife and I, we like to buy eggs from somebody that has their own chickens and everything. And we tried to buy them this week, and she said, you're not going to believe this.
Starting point is 00:28:51 I have a back order on eggs right now. What? This is from someone in our neighborhood that has chickens and sells eggs. We just prefer home chickens and everything. And she says, I'm actually on backorder for eggs. I can put your name on a list. I was like, wow. We've only been talking about this for a couple weeks on True News.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Now, that's amazing, Doc. When your local community egg grower has a backorder list. That ought to be assigned to everybody. What I started to say about the food processors, the companies that need massive amounts of eggs for their recipes, for packaged foods, for bread, all the different things that are made with milk, I mean, with eggs.
Starting point is 00:29:53 That can include pancake mix. It's just a lot of baked goods. Restaurants need eggs. They don't have fresh eggs in restaurants. They have powdered eggs or they have large vats of egg yolk. And so they buy it in huge quantities. What's going to happen is that these
Starting point is 00:30:22 deep-pocketed food processors are going to place orders for massive amounts of eggs to stockpile the egg supply for themselves. That's right. Which is going to wipe out the egg supply at the grocery store level. Because they're going to take care of themselves. They're going to watch out for themselves. They want you and they need you to keep buying their products. They're going to say, well, we'll get you some eggs. You've got to buy our cake mix. We've got
Starting point is 00:30:59 eggs in it, but it's going to be difficult to get eggs in the grocery store. That's where we're headed if this bird flu virus continues to spread and worsen. So my advice to you is go to American Reserves and order buckets of powdered eggs. And Doc would tell you they are delicious. They are.
Starting point is 00:31:27 You just add boiling water, and before you know it, you've got yourself a batch of scrambled eggs, and you will never know the difference. They taste, how about, just like eggs. That's because they are eggs. Yes, they're real eggs. They're just powdered. They're real eggs.
Starting point is 00:31:43 It's not fake eggs. It's real eggs, and you can get buckets of them and store them. And it's something you're going to use. Right. You can always eat them. You know, two or three years from now, you could, you know, if nothing happens, you can break them open and eat them. You got eggs. But they'll last more than two or three years.
Starting point is 00:32:06 They got a long shelf life on them. So we've been selling out very quickly and reordering and we're continuing to stockpile eggs as fast as we can. I think, know American Reserves, the company now officially, legally belongs to me. It's a long story how it happened. It's a blessing from God. But the company was put in my hands recently. And about two or three weeks ago, we signed the documents to take ownership of the company. But right away, I had to take responsibility for replenishing inventory supplies. And eggs have been one of the fastest selling products at American Reserves. Eggs and powdered milk. So now this very next article, Bloomberg.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Goes right along with it. Goes with this. Bird flu hits Texas and Kansas milk for the first time. Yes. And first sign of impact. This was published yesterday by Bloomberg. Yes. So U.S. milk production is starting to get hit by the bird flu virus, which made the first jump made to cows earlier this year.
Starting point is 00:33:26 Output in Texas and Kansas, the first states where highly pathogenic avian influenza was detected in dairy cattle, has been shown to slump both in March and April, according to the USDA. Now, usually output in those states would rise at this time of year amid a seasonal spring boost, according to economist Betty Burning. It's atypical, Burning said this week at the Global Dairy Outlook Conference in Chicago. It's a safe bet that this is probably what's going on, she said, of the flu outbreak. Texas milk production fell 4.9 percent in March, much bigger than the overall national decline of point five percent. And the USA announced the first ever outbreak of bird flu in Texas, milking dairy cattle back on March 25th. And so those are factors that are figuring in. So once again, not only are eggs
Starting point is 00:34:19 impacted, but milk is going to be directly impacted as well. And so you need to be thinking about what things are you going to need in the future that require milk? And if you don't have access to milk, what are you going to do? So now's the time to prepare, not to put it off. And so visit American Reserves. A 5% drop in production out of one state is a sizable drop. Yes. That number puts some dairy farmers out of business because they're already run with very thin margins the way it is.
Starting point is 00:34:55 Okay, we've got some more World War III news. Wait till you see this headline. Doc sent this over to me this morning. Filipino soldiers fight off armed Chinese Coast Guard with bare hands. What is going on, Doc? Last night when I got home, we watched the news out of the Philippines every night, and this was the lead story last night, that they had Filipino and Chinese sailors out there. The Chinese were drawing blades, and the Filipinos and Chinese, some of them were getting in fistfights.
Starting point is 00:35:32 So Filipino soldiers used their bare hands to fight off Chinese Coast Guard in a disputed South China Sea area, the Philippine military chief said. General Brawner, head of the Philippine Armed Forces, accused Chinese personnel of boarding more than eight motorboats and repeatedly ramming them, boarding and also two inflatable vessels earlier this week. Now, comparing it to an act of piracy, you see him drawing swords there, he said the Chinese had bladed weapons and tried to prevent the transfer of food, firearms, and other supplies to a Philippine territorial outpost in the disputed area. Hostilities between the two countries have escalated in and around the Shoal, where the
Starting point is 00:36:17 Philippines grounded the BRP Sierra Madre ship back in 1999 to create an outpost, which is also claimed by Beijing as well. And so they're resorting to fistfights in the South China Sea, Rick. And as I mentioned last night when I watched this the first time, I saw the Chinese pull out daggers and knives threatening the Filipinos. So this is starting. I tell you, somebody's going to get killed, and that's going to set off a spark that is going to create a tender fire over there. Well, Doc, the U.S. has a defense treaty with the Philippines.
Starting point is 00:36:56 That's right. They do. If the Philippines is attacked by China, the U.S. is obligated to go to war with the Philippines to fight China. While we're on this subject, Vladimir Putin has warned South Korea, you better think twice about sending weapons to Ukraine. You might be making a very big mistake, says the Russian president. This comes, you know, after he said weeks ago, we're going to arm the enemies of America. And then he flew to Pyongyang and signed a defense
Starting point is 00:37:35 treaty with Kim Jong-un. That's right. So Vladimir Putin has warned South Korea that it would be making a big mistake if it arms Ukraine in the war against Russia. Moscow will make decisions which are unlikely to please the current leadership of South Korea if Seoul decides to supply arms to Kiev. That's coming from Mr. Putin speaking on Thursday. President Putin also warned that Moscow is willing to arm Pyongyang if the U.S. and its allies continue supplying Ukraine with weapons. And so this is starting to escalate here in this region. Those who supply these weapons believe that they are not at war with us. I said, including in Pyongyang, that we then reserve the right to supply weapons to other
Starting point is 00:38:20 regions of the world, Mr. Putin said. And, you know, as to be expected, South Korea urged Russia today to halt military cooperation with North Korea. So this is Jan Haps, South Korea urged Russia on Friday to immediately halt military cooperation with North Korea and act responsibly after Moscow signed a new treaty with Pyongyang on providing each other military assistance in case of an armed attack on either of them.
Starting point is 00:38:57 That's right. Yeah, go ahead. Yeah, I was going to say that article goes on to say that first Vice Foreign Minister Kim Hong-kyung delivered the position to Russian Ambassador Georgy Zinoviev as the foreign ministry called in the top Russian envoy to lodge a protest over the treaty inked between Moscow and Pyongyang at their leaders summit back on Wednesday. Now the treaty, as Rick mentioned, provides for military and other assistance from one side to the other with all means. There was no limitation on it at its disposal and without delay if either of the two gets invaded or put in a state of war. Now, Article 4 of the treaty is seen as warranting automatic
Starting point is 00:39:36 military intervention in the event of an attack on either country, a provision that restores the Cold War Air Alliance 28 years after their mutual defense treaty was scrapped back in 1996. And so this puts South Korea in the sights now. Yes, it does. They shouldn't have gotten in bed with NATO. They should not have done it. You know, this, I guess, started last year, didn't it, Doc? Yes. NATO
Starting point is 00:40:10 started pressuring South Korea. NATO couldn't get ammo and supplies to weapons to Ukraine fast enough, so they went to South Korea and said, hey, the United States has given you a lot of stuff. Why don't you share it with Ukraine?
Starting point is 00:40:26 Actually, the suggestion they made was, Rick, why don't you get rid of your old stuff and make new stuff, and that will help your economy too. And that is the reason why. That's right. Switch over to the war economy. Yes. Now, this next story, it was almost impossible for me to find any news articles about it today.
Starting point is 00:40:54 I found only on Russian websites, but nobody else wanted to talk about this. RT, Kremlin explains what Putin meant by Russia willing to go all the way. It says Putin's statement about Russia's intention to go all the way referred to it achieving its objectives in the Ukraine conflict, says Dmitry Peskov on Friday. Peskov was asked for clarification about remarks the Russian leader made on Thursday during a press conference in Vietnam.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Putin was asked by a reporter what intentions he believed Western nations had in escalating tensions with Moscow. So Putin said, quote, apparently they count on us to chicken out at some point, but at the same time they say they want to achieve a strategic defeat against Russia on the battlefield. Putin went on to say, such an outcome would amount to the loss of Russian statehood. The question then is, now listen to this.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Putin said, the question then is, why should we be afraid? Would it not be better to go all the way? And that makes perfect sense based on their previous statements where they said, if there's no Russia in the world, then what's the world good for? That's what he means by going all the way. They're willing to put the future of their existence on the line in order to continue to exist. Yes. That's exactly what he's saying. He's saying if your plan,
Starting point is 00:42:48 if NATO's plan is a strategic defeat of Russia, then we might as well stay in this and go all the way. And all the way means unleashing every nuclear warhead they own until there's nothing left to fire. Nigel Farage, man, Doc, he's back in the saddle. Yes, he sure is. With the new elections forthcoming, Rick, could we see a Prime Minister, Nigel Farage, at some point? Even the establishment newspapers like the Times of London and the Telegraph are actually talking about it.
Starting point is 00:43:32 He's formed a new party. I should say it like this. He became the leader of a new party called the Reform Party, and the Reform Party is now polling higher in the polls in Great Britain than the Tories, the Conservative Party. Yes. So, the Tories are moving to the trash can of history, and Nigel Farage may become the voice of the opposition if labor wins the next election. But in this BBC interview, he flat out said NATO started this war in Ukraine,
Starting point is 00:44:17 and he won't back down. The BBC was pressing him on it, and he would not back down. And he said, I said this as far back as 2014. That's right. I'm on record saying there's going to be a war. Let's watch. When Vladimir Putin sent his troops across the border in 22, you blamed the West, not him. You said, I'll just read it to you and then you can react. That on a tweet, it was a consequence of EU and NATO expansion. Is that a judgment you stand by? Right. I'll tell you what you don't know. I stood up in the European Parliament in 2014 and I said, and I quote, there will be a war in Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:45:00 Why did I say that? It was obvious to me that the ever eastward expansion of NATO and the European Union was giving this man a reason to his Russian people to say they're coming for us again and to go to war. But you were echoing him. I was, sorry. You were echoing him. That's what Putin says. No, no, no, no, sorry, I've been saying this actually since the 1990s. Ever since the fall of the wall.
Starting point is 00:45:30 Hang on a second. We provoked this war. Of course it's his fault. He's used what we've done as an excuse. The invasion of Ukraine. Yes, and very interestingly, once again, ten years ago when I predicted this, by the way, I'm the only person in British politics that predicted what would happen. And of course, everyone said I was a pariah for daring to suggest it. George Robertson, former Labour cabinet minister, who went on to become the secretary general of NATO, has in the last couple of weeks said the war is a direct result of EU expansion. And he's right. It is. Yes. He's only saying what should be said. Imagine Donald Trump in the White House and Nigel Farage in No. 10 Downing Street at the same time.
Starting point is 00:46:19 That's a show I would pay good money for tickets to see. I mean, really. That would be incredible, Rick. he's like Margaret Thatcher wearing pants it really we've not had anything like it since Reagan and Thatcher but there's
Starting point is 00:46:36 that undercurrent that people are tired of war now Rick they're getting tired of the war Marine Le Pen could win the presidency in France. We could have a conservative in Paris. People are fed up with war.
Starting point is 00:46:56 The globalists have lost. The Zionists have lost. The globalists have lost. They've lost public opinion. The people have seen through them and they're fed up with it. And I don't know how they get out of it other than trying to pull off another pandemic and a war at the same time. But I don't
Starting point is 00:47:20 even know if that's going to work. I think people are determined not to let these people win. But the warmongers are determined to war. That's the problem. And right now, they're at the control of the switch. One of those warmongers is Rishi
Starting point is 00:47:37 Sunak, current Prime Minister of the UK. it's like the post-opposite of Nigel Farage. Rishi Sunak floats sanctions on young people for refusing national service. Now, that headline there is kind of a soft way of saying what he's really saying. Penalties. That's right. There are penalties.
Starting point is 00:48:01 You're going to suffer for refusing to join us in our war. We'll take away your ability to drive a car, maybe even shut down your bank account. Those aren't sanctions. Those are threats against individuals. That's right. So, you know, we can see they're becoming desperate. They know that people are turning against them. They know they're going to have to draft hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of young men in the Western nations, and they know there's going to be resistance. And so they're now preparing to fight the resistance. The Telegraph is also reporting that Great Britain is butting heads with the United States and Germany over Ukraine joining NATO. This was a surprise to me because this article, if it's correct, is saying that the Biden administration is actually working behind the scenes to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO.
Starting point is 00:49:06 Yes, both the U.S. and Germany. They're still trying to offer a commitment to Ukraine, but not like full NATO membership, maybe like NATO Light or the NATO Junior Varsity Team or something like that. So the U.S. and Germany have derailed a European plan to grant Ukraine an irreversible path to NATO membership. Washington and Berlin have instead thrown their weight behind offering Vladimir Zelensky a lighter commitment to a membership of the military alliance. A group of European nations, including the U.K., had hoped to describe Kiev's path to join the alliance as irreversible in a communique to be signed off at a summit next month. But the U.S. is pushing for watered-down language, describing the process as a well-lit bridge to membership with no concrete pipeline. I'd like to have been in that room when Blinken said to Zelensky, what we've got to offer you is a well-lit bridge.
Starting point is 00:50:09 You either stay on the bridge or jump off. But it's well-lit. What do you mean, well-lit bridge? number 28, CBS News reporting that Robert Kennedy will not be in the presidential debate next week. It's next Thursday night on CNN. Donald Trump versus Joe Biden. Robert Kennedy will not be allowed to participate
Starting point is 00:50:42 in the debate according to CNN's rules. You know, the media decides who can debate. And CNN said he's not, Kennedy as an independent is not on enough ballots as an independent to win the presidency. Therefore, he's not a serious candidate, and they won't let him in the debate. Now, what I want to say here, Doc, is Seymour Hersh, he published today on Substack
Starting point is 00:51:21 that senior Democratic Party operatives told him that there is work going on behind the scenes to deny Joe Biden the Democratic nomination. Wow. And, you know, Seymour Hersh is saying it. You know, he's got reliable sources. That's right. Did he say anything else? Well, you know, what he's saying is that they're orchestrating events
Starting point is 00:51:55 so that Biden will decline the nomination. The way he's suggesting it is they're going to allow biden to be nominated and then biden is going to tell the convention i i'm honored that you chose to nominate me but for health reasons for family reasons i declined the nomination which would be i mean the drama on live television would be, I mean, the drama on live television would be tremendous. Yes, it would definitely take all the air out of the room. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:52:32 You haven't had anything like that happen since 1968 when LBJ said, I will not seek the nomination of my party. And that was not done at the convention. That was during the primary season. But to have it happen at the convention would be amazing. Now, this is what I want to suggest. My friends in Michigan are telling me that Governor Gretchen Whitmer's political operatives are busy setting up a Whitmer for president campaign. And I've noticed a lot of articles, fluff pieces, propaganda articles that are appearing online about could Gretchen Whitmer become the first woman president? Could it happen as early as 2024? What if? What if Joe Biden doesn't run? Could it be Gretchen Whitmer?
Starting point is 00:53:37 You're seeing the articles appearing. And some of the talk show hosts or some of the influencers online are taking the bait and running with it. So if Whitmer becomes the nominee, Doc, I'm going to propose something. That she will bring, she will reel in RFK and bring him back into the party and make him her vice president. Oh, wow, Rick. I mean, that would be a huge, huge development in the presidential race. Okay, think about this.
Starting point is 00:54:19 Governor Whitmer, miss vaccine, miss lockdown. Yes. And her vice president, Mr. Anti-Vaccine, Mr. Anti-Lockdown. Then you've got two younger candidates, much younger than Donald Trump. RFK is not that much younger, but Governor Whitmer would be. She's in her, what, 50s? I believe so. So they would be pointing at Donald Trump and saying,
Starting point is 00:54:50 he's the old man, he's too old to be president. Let's go with a younger team. Whitmer and Kennedy. It keeps Kennedy off the ballot. Right now, he's qualified. But brings him into the ballot, too. Yes. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:55:11 It keeps him off the ballot as an independent. Right now, he's on the ballot in Utah, Michigan, Michigan, you know, her state, Delaware, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and soon will be on the ballot in California. And so this way. Go ahead, Rick. Go ahead. No, I said so in this strategy, it would be like a family homecoming at the at the Democratic Convention.
Starting point is 00:55:42 Let's just work together here. Let's bring the family back together. Let's let bygones be bygones, and let's, you know, march ahead as the party of the people here. We're listening to you, America. That's right, and it would be a powerful ticket, Whitmer and Kennedy. Now, I'll tell you this. Roger Stone, Roger is convinced Michelle Obama is going to be the nominee. Really? That's where he's leaning in that direction. Yes.
Starting point is 00:56:21 But an Obama-Kennedy ticket. Think of that one. Yeah. Oh, wow. I mean, that would be a powerful ticket right there. I mean, I'm not endorsing it. I'm just saying that would really people would sit up and take notice on that.
Starting point is 00:56:35 They definitely would. So the debate is next Thursday. Will Biden go through with the debate? There are people, Doc, who believe that there are Democrats who push Biden into accepting the debate for the purpose of taking him down. I wouldn't put it past some of these guys. They can't be overt in saying he needs to no longer be the candidate.
Starting point is 00:57:15 It has to be Biden and his family choosing not to be a candidate, right? Right. So if he is a disaster next Thursday night, the Democrats and the news media will say, oh no, Trump's going to win. We have to stop him. We need a new candidate. All right, Rick.
Starting point is 00:57:33 So we have about 10 seconds left here. We need another hour. That's right. Yeah. All right. Well, God bless you for joining us today. Stay tuned. We've got Morning Manor coming up next here following the True News. God bless you.

We have quite a selection of countries represented right now in this live Bible study, so we're glad to have you. We are working our way through the gospel according to St. Matthew.
Starting point is 01:00:13 I don't even remember the month that we started, but we've made it to chapter 13. And we'll probably finish up Matthew by the end of this year, 2024. We're not in a hurry. We're going line by line and extracting all of the richness that we can get in a one-hour Bible study. And we hope this is a blessing to you. It's a blessing to me as a teacher. So today we're going to be looking at verses 14 through 17, chapter 13, Matthew. And I'm going to pray. Doc's going to read the word. Father, dear Heavenly Father, our wonderful Father in Heaven,
Starting point is 01:00:54 hallowed be Thy name. Father, we worship You. We glorify You and we magnify You. Thank You, Father, for giving your Son that we would have a way to be reconciled with you. Without Jesus, we would be lost forever. But you loved us so much, you sent your only begotten Son. Father, we also know that you sent your Holy Spirit, and your Spirit is here with us, in us, around us, guiding us, leading us, protecting us, instructing us. So we invite the Holy Spirit to lead this Bible study
Starting point is 01:01:38 and open our minds and hearts to understand the richness of your word. We ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen. Amen. And just a reminder after the close of today's morning manor, we will be having the Lord's Supper today. So we invite you to prepare for that with the elements of communion,
Starting point is 01:01:59 with the bread and either red wine or grape juice. And so be prepared for that here. I am reading from Matthew chapter chapter 13 verses 14 through 17 so if you've got your bibles follow along with me please welcome to i'm counting 18 countries that have already checked in today so verse 14 chapter 13 of matthew and in them is fulfilled the prophecy of isaiah which saith by hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand and seeing ye shall see and shall not perceive for this people's heart is waxed gross and their eyes are dull of hearing excuse me their ears are dull of hearing and their eyes they have closed lest at any time they should see with their eyes
Starting point is 01:02:43 and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart and should be converted and i should heal them but blessed are your eyes for they see and your ears for they hear for verily i say unto you that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see and have not seen them, and to hear those things which ye hear and have not heard them. God bless the reading of his word today. Amen. So Jesus quoted the Septuagint version of a prophecy spoken by Prophet Isaiah, where
Starting point is 01:03:22 he spoke about the hardness of the Jewish people's hearts the King James Version of Isaiah 6 verses 9 through 10 says go and tell this people hear ye indeed but understand not and see ye indeed but perceive not make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and its impending judgment. the prophecy of Isaiah. Means that the prophecy's relevance extended beyond Isaiah's time. Right.
Starting point is 01:04:31 And continued to be manifested until it was fulfilled in the day of Jesus' appearance on the earth. It had been undergoing its fulfillment. Isaiah spoke it, and then over centuries, the prophecy was incrementally fulfilled. And Jesus declared on that day, it's fulfilled. It's done. Right. Check this one off the list. Prophecy of Isaiah, done, fulfilled. Right.
Starting point is 01:05:10 That word fulfilled there in the Greek means that it had been fulfilled in Isaiah's time, and yet was completely fulfilled here with Jesus. Yes. That's what that word there actually means, and it's in the Greek. Yes. Was fulfilled, was being fulfilled, was fulfilled. Like three different stages of being fulfilled. A continuous fulfillment. But the climax was when Jesus spoke it. We would say that's all she wrote. That's it It's done. He said this prophecy is hereby declared fulfilled and
Starting point is 01:05:56 It's still fulfilled today. Yes, it hasn't been unfulfilled. No matter what the Christian Zionists say, the prophecy has not been unfulfilled. Amen. To this day, they are still living under the judgment that was decreed by Jesus. so Jesus quoted Isaiah to explain to his disciples why he was speaking in parables remember this is the way we got to this verse is they're asking him why are you talking to us in and he answered their question by quoting Isaiah yes Isaiah's prophecy is so important that it's quoted multiple times in the New Testament scriptures yes it's quoted in all four Gospel writers, quoted by each of the four gospel writers, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. And Paul quoted it in Acts 28. Yes.
Starting point is 01:07:15 A prophecy to the self-induced blindness and deafness of Israel. So Jesus's citation of Isaiah's prophecy, plus Paul's quoting of it, shows us the continuity between the Old Testament prophecies and Jesus's ministries. Right. And it shows us how Jesus' work fulfilled the warnings and the prophecies of the prophets. Basically, it's a... Yeah, go ahead, Bob. One of the things that you mentioned early on is that as this is quoted here this is quoted from the
Starting point is 01:08:05 Septuagint the Septuagint version of the scriptures the Greek version of the scriptures and one thing that we encounter or at least I counter in conversations all the time is you know that there's this misconception that Jesus operated using the Hebrew scriptures. That's not the case at all. The common language that was used for scriptures in Jesus' day was Greek. And I know that's a shock to a lot of folks, especially that lean toward the more messianic congregations and stuff. But that was the common language. And it's important to bring that out because Matthew, once again, we got to remember who the author is. Matthew was
Starting point is 01:08:52 writing this in a higher form of Greek when he wrote this. Some make the argument that Matthew originally wrote the gospel in Hebrew and then translated it to Greek later on. There's no evidence of that. That's just speculation by some commentators. But it's important to understand that in Jesus' day, there was still a form of Hebrew, Aramaic. It was a mixture, more like pigeon Hebrew by that time. But Hebrew as a formal language had died out, and that's a hard thing for a lot of people to accept. The language of scriptures in Jesus' day was Greek, and it's shown once again here in this passage as this is a direct quote from the Greek version of the Hebrew scriptures, the Septuagint. And, Dr., you know, a lot of, especially Christian Zionists, assume that Jesus, and they teach that Jesus was speaking Hebrew. No, his native tongue was Aramaic.
Starting point is 01:10:07 Right. He wasn't speaking Greek and he wasn't speaking Hebrew. He spoke Aramaic. That was his language. The only time he spoke Greek is when he quoted Old Testament scriptures. Yes. And a lot of people, they don't realize that, Rick. And so,
Starting point is 01:10:37 you know, when they start quoting, you know, that Jesus was, you know, quoting Hebrew scriptures, you know, that's just not the case. When you went to the synagogue and they undid the scroll it was in greek that just messes up a lot of people's theology doc yes it messes them up um so this prophecy quoted by jesus prophecy of isaiah what it says is that despite hearing truth and seeing evidence of the truth, the people choose not to understand or perceive the truth. And because of their rejection of truth, their hearts have become calloused. Their ears have become dull of hearing. You know, we would say today, hey, he needs a hearing aid. That's what Jesus was saying.
Starting point is 01:11:40 You guys need a hearing aid. I'm standing here telling you the truth and you act like you can't hear a word i say and their eyes were closed the the message that we're going to get here today and and this is this is uh can be difficult for a lot of people to perceive and and to accept is this the people chose to be blind and deaf and because they willingly chose to be blind and deaf God sealed them in their blindness and deafness that's hard to accept yes but that's what this is about so their spiritual blindness and their deafness prevented them from perceiving understanding and responding to the message
Starting point is 01:12:42 of salvation the King James says the heart is waxed gross that's an old English phrase doesn't mean much to us today nobody talks about something being waxed gross gross but what it means is the the hearts of the people had become fat and insensitive I mean you think of a fat heart that's a heart on its way to a heart attack. Yes. And so it's telling us that the people of Israel at that time were in a state of spiritual dullness, insensitivity to the truth. Hearing, not having ears to hear that the people chose not to listen they closed their ears how many times have you said you know I was talking
Starting point is 01:14:02 that person's like talking to a wall it went in one ear and out the other well did they hear you or not yes they heard you but something inside their head said don't listen to him don't listen to anything she's saying just shut it off right they heard, but they didn't hear. Their ears were working mechanically. They were working. The audio was going in, but inside their brain and their heart said, block it out.
Starting point is 01:14:43 It's frustrating to talk to somebody, and you know while you're talking, they're not listening. You can almost see them with their arms folded, even though physically they're not, but you can see them like they're like blocking everything you're saying, that they're rejecting it. They don't want to to hear it i can tell you this as a bible teacher and as a preacher and doc can back me up on this when you're at the pulpit teaching or preaching you can read the faces of the people in the crowd yes you know who's hearing it you know who's receiving it you know who is processing it and trying to understand and then you know the group that's saying i don't believe a thing you're saying yeah they put up a
Starting point is 01:15:32 wall they they some even do create a physical barrier crossing their uh arms and uh or you know a various body their head literally is is while you're preaching they're doing this their head is going back and forth I've seen people doing that which is saying no no that's a sign of spiritual rebellion yes, the people deliberately closed their eyes and resisted the evidence of the truth. What did they close their eyes to? The miracles. Jesus was performing incredible miracles in front of them and they refused to believe what they saw they said that guy that guy has a demon they're and they're choosing to they're choosing it rick it's not a matter of them well i just don't understand no they're choosing not to hear they're choosing not to see
Starting point is 01:16:52 so the closing of the eyes and the closing of the ears it means that they were obstinate stubborn there was active deliberate resistance to the light of God's truth. It wasn't that they were just struggling to understand. God will work with a person who's struggling to understand. His spirit will work with you when you are honestly trying to understand something that's being taught. But when that spirit of resistance is there you're in danger and persistent resistance is what we're talking about here today see this isn't a matter of just the Pharisees were having a bad day.
Starting point is 01:17:45 Right. No, Jesus said, no, your entire lifetime you've been resisting the truth of God. And today I'm declaring Isaiah's prophecy is fulfilled. Only Jesus had the authority to declare a prophecy fulfilled nobody there had the authority to declare it fulfilled or unfulfilled but Jesus and that had to be a shock to them right there are a few pharisees well at this point they're not hearing because he's talking to the disciples but if they heard they would have said who are you to declare the prophecy fulfilled well the one who gave the words to the prophet that's who so they close their eyes why do you close your eyes so you cannot see closing your eyes means I want to block the vision they were choosing to not see it was a choice
Starting point is 01:19:09 they closed their eyes lest they should see their lost state and be compelled to turn to god for salvation that's the reason they closed their eyes they didn't want to see their depravity their refusal to see their depravity reflected a fear of acknowledging their need for repentance and salvation if if you recognize you're depraved and lost then you know what the next step is you got to find somebody who can undo it set you free and there's only one and his name is Jesus and so they chose to close their eyes waxed gross again it means they they became they deliberately became spiritually dull and foolish their minds were filled with sensuality corruption religion their refusal to see and hear stem from their wrong heartedness they were unwilling to pay
Starting point is 01:20:38 attention to the things that would bring them peace again this lest they should see Jesus said lest they should see quoting Isaiah it means that if the people were to recognize their lost condition as sinners and accept the gospel message they would have to repent and have to ask god to save them right but spiritual blinded blindness eliminated the need in their eyes in their blind blind eyes, if, hey, if I just close my eyes, I don't need to be saved. They deceive themselves by closing their eyes. If I can't see it, it doesn't exist. If I don't hear it, it doesn't exist. I can go on in my state of blindness,
Starting point is 01:21:48 and I'll never have to deal with this issue of repentance and salvation because I have chosen not to see it and hear it. There's so many people like this today. Yes. people like this today yes it's a closing the eyes and shutting their ears is a willful deliberate rejection of the gospel they people who do it fear conviction they fear repentance they fear submission to God and therefore they don't do it did you have something doc no I'm just you just looking at Isaiah chapter 6 there. It occurred to me that Jesus quoted the first part of that, but the second part of it, starting at verse 10 in Isaiah chapter 6,
Starting point is 01:22:56 it says, make the heart of this people fat and make their ears heavy, which we were talking about, and shut their eyes as they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their their hearts, and convert and be healed. Then Isaiah asked a question after that. I'd never had noticed this before today. Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, until the cities be wasted without inhabitants, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
Starting point is 01:23:24 and the Lord have removed, and the land be utterly desolate. And the Lord have removed men from far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. And so what he's talking about there is the destruction of Jerusalem, the temple, and Israel. That's when this really gets fulfilled later on, too, this passage in Isaiah. And I hadn't seen that before. Doc, I'm glad you brought this up in the early years of this ministry.
Starting point is 01:24:02 And I would say, you know, the early 2000s. And I, you know, had been on the radio at that time and streaming for a couple of years. Started in 99. And what did I start with? A vision of America on fire. Right. And that was the driving force in the early days of this ministry, that sight, that vision of this country in ruins burned.
Starting point is 01:24:33 And I told the vision over and over and over and over, month after month after month for years. And I would grow weary of telling it. You know, and after doing this for years, every time I would ask God in prayer, Lord, how long must I repeat this vision? How long do I have to? How long, how long, Lord? How long do I have to keep telling them to repent or the country is going to be destroyed? He always gave me that question. Always, Doc. Every time I asked him, I turned my Bible and it would fall open to
Starting point is 01:25:18 that verse in Isaiah. Really? Yes. And I knew I'm in this for the long haul. I'm in this. I'm going to be repeating this vision until it happens. Right. So Isaiah didn't see the complete destruction. He didn't see it. He saw it in the spirit, but he didn't see it physically. And even Jesus, when he quoted Isaiah chapter 6 here, it didn't see it physically and even jesus when he when he quoted isaiah chapter 6 here
Starting point is 01:25:46 it didn't happen immediately it was it's going to happen decades out but you have to know when he quoted isaiah 6 the pharisees and scribes are standing around that they knew when he's quoting this that he's also predicting their destruction too. Yes. Because of the hardness of their hearts, because they chose not to hear, because they chose not to see. And as a result of that, destruction will fall.
Starting point is 01:26:17 Lord, how long? Until the land is desolate and it's coming. Yes. So the phrase turn again be converted it's talking about the need for repentance for spiritual transformation in order to receive spiritual healing and salvation but the people resist the call to repentance and they display their unwillingness to turn back to God yes to be to be restored you try telling Jewish people today that they're out of line with God and watch what the reaction you
Starting point is 01:27:02 get we'll try to say America that oh yeah you can't tell Christians you can't tell church members that they're out of alignment with God so eventually their resistance leads to God issuing a decree. You've chosen to believe a lie. You've chosen to be blind. You've chosen to be deaf. You've chosen to resist my mercy. Therefore, the gavel comes down and he says,
Starting point is 01:27:42 I decree you are forever blind and deaf that's a state of being a reprobate right god gives them up yes so the people's preference, they preferred darkness over light. They preferred lies over truth. They preferred it. And so it resulted in perpetual eternal blindness and deafness. Because God sealed them in it that's the part that's hard for people to comprehend
Starting point is 01:28:32 well i thought god wanted everybody to be saved he does but when when that person persistently over many years tells the Holy Spirit to get lost one of those days the Holy Spirit's going to get lost yes look in marriage if you constantly talk about divorce if you use divorce as a a of intimidation, a threat, one of these days, your partner is going to say, I'm going to take you at your word. I'm done. See, be careful the words that come out of your mouth.
Starting point is 01:29:19 Be very careful. And so the Jews were constantly saying to god we we don't want you we want judaism we don't want you you got it we like judaism we accept judaism but we don't want you and there came a day that god said okay i'll take you at your word. You can have Judaism. I'm leaving. And we have the same problem today with Christianity. People feel good about being a Christian, but do they want Jesus? They don't feel good about being a disciple. Right. Because disciple means submission.
Starting point is 01:30:05 Disciple means discipline. That's where you get the word disciple. You've been disciplined by the teacher. That makes you a disciple. But people don't like discipline. People like to be like a free range chicken. You know, that's really what they want. I don't want to be in a chicken house.
Starting point is 01:30:32 I want to be a free ranging. I want to roam around. I want to eat whatever bugs I can find, you know. So they don't want to be disciplined. So the people remain resistant and they chose to remain in their state of spiritual darkness and ignorance so there there are consequences for rejecting the truth there are consequences consequences for deliberately hardening your heart to resist God's message of salvation. Yes. Look, all of us, you know, as Christians, we can be Christians and have an area of our life that we're not submitting to Christ.
Starting point is 01:31:25 We're not letting the Holy Spirit have dominion over that area of our life. And the Holy Spirit keeps dealing with us. It could be a variety of things. It could be your temper. It could be your mouth. It could be a number of things. It could be your temper. It could be your mouth. It could be a number of things. Some people have a weakness dealing with money. And God's dealing with them over and over and over and over.
Starting point is 01:31:59 And they're resisting because they don't want to submit to god's discipline but his discipline is for your good not not for your harm for your good he's saying if you continue in this this behavior i can see up ahead a great great trouble for your life yes i'm trying to prevent you from experiencing the pain because of what you're doing now it's going to cost you dearly to to fix the damage that you've done now the good thing about being saved in Christ is that if we if we persist in it and that time comes and that damage is done, God's grace is extended to us and he shows us a way to undo the damage.
Starting point is 01:32:55 But the damage is still done. Right. Right. hear ye indeed implies a a state of continuous hearing it's not one time we hearing the Holy Spirit the willful ignorance stems from a preference for darkness over light John John 319 he talks about the people love the darkness because their deeds were evil. People prefer darkness over light. It's only when they recognize their spiritual depravity and their eventual fate that they realize this love of darkness is going to cost me dearly I need to get out of it you know I've told this before when I got saved I was 24 years old I didn't
Starting point is 01:34:20 know I was a sinner I had no idea I was a sinner. I had no conviction of sin at all, Doc. None. And I was good at it. I was a pro. I had no conviction of it at all. But eventually God was able to get me in a church. I had a praying grandmother and a praying grandfather. And I had a sister who was saved and a brother-in-law who was saved.
Starting point is 01:35:03 And they were working on Susan and me. And Susan was the first one to go to church in our family. And Susan went to church for about six months without me. And then I finally started going to church with her. But God gave me a dream. He gave me a dream that terrified me. And I started to go to church. Every Sunday I was hearing the gospel.
Starting point is 01:35:34 And then one Sunday, it was the work of the Holy Spirit. I suddenly became aware I was a sinner. I was separated from God. I was lost. I was on my way to hell. It was a sudden awareness. Nothing that I came up with on my own. It was the Holy Spirit dealing with me. And I remember when I went to the front of the church, when the elders laid their hands on me, I remember the words.
Starting point is 01:36:13 I didn't say the sinner's prayer. I said, Jesus, make me clean. Yes. That's all I said. Jesus, make me clean. Because I was aware that I was filthy. That's how I felt standing there in the front of the church, filthy. That's the work of the Holy Spirit.
Starting point is 01:36:41 And until a person comes to that place, they can't be saved. The problem, what we're dealing with here in these verses, is people deliberately resisting that process. I could have said, oh, hey, I want out of here. I'm done with this stuff this church I'm gone I like my sin I didn't do that I could have that's what Jesus is talking about here he's talking about people who refuse to accept the truth harden their heart close their ears close their eyes and say I will not accept the truth of God's Word so the resistance is not passive
Starting point is 01:37:37 it's active it's deliberate stubbornness and read and defiance of God. It's a choice. And so the result is a divine judgment upon the people who act that way. The deliberate preference for darkness over light leads to their spiritual condemnation. Because understanding the truth of the gospel requires an open heart open eyes open ears so there's a warning in these verses about the dangers of deliberately turning away from truth and choosing ignorance because ignorance leads to self deception where people convince themselves that they're not accountable for their actions and their
Starting point is 01:38:39 beliefs and their words right they come up with a religion they join a religion or they come up with some ethics that justify the way they think and act and they consider themselves good yes they declare them you know Pharisees thought they were good well based on the rules that they made for themselves, they were good, right? And isn't that what we do? We create our own false religion. We really do. We create it.
Starting point is 01:39:14 And once we have set our own standards and we meet them, we can say, hey, I'm good. But God's standards are way up here. That's what Putin and Medvedev accused the United States and NATO of doing. They'll say, you guys claim to have a rules-based world order, but you write the rules and you change them anytime you want. Yep, Pharisees did the same thing.
Starting point is 01:39:42 Yeah. And maybe I've covered this enough, but I want you to see that the Pharisees and all who rejected the gospel and still reject the gospel today, that they are judicially sealed up in darkness. It's a judicial decree from God. Yes. Their spiritual condition is a result of divine judgment,
Starting point is 01:40:15 and it seals them off from understanding. That thought scares me. I just just I don't there's one thing I don't want to happen in my life that I go through life and not be aware that I'm gradually becoming dull of hearing dull of sight that my heart is becoming fat and resisting the Holy Spirit that terrifies me I want to remain tender to the Holy Spirit it's important to regularly ask the Holy Spirit, give me a heart check. Tell me how I'm doing. Do I need a tune-up?
Starting point is 01:41:14 What's out of place? We have to do this ourselves. And then you close your eyes and you brace yourself for what the Holy Spirit's going to show to you. But it's out of love. It's out of love. And he's like, well, now that you ask, I was going to tell you about this. I was waiting for you to bring up the right time. And now it's the right time.
Starting point is 01:41:39 I'll tell you about something. And then he reminds you of something you did or said or didn't do and didn't say. But that's a good thing. That shows the Holy Spirit is actively working in your life. So their eternal blindness and deafness is because of God's righteous judgment. They've been given over to a spiritual blindness because of persistent rejection of God's truth. It's a punishment for their contempt and rebellion against God's revelation. So, to summarize, verses 14 and 15.
Starting point is 01:42:38 It tells us that profound blindness, ness hardness of heart that hinders the people from recognizing and accepting the truth of Jesus's teaching leads to eventual judgment from God his mercy his mercy is never ending. There's always a possibility. God's always willing. But he's watching that person to see, is there anything in them struggling to know the truth? There's a contrast between the elect,
Starting point is 01:43:24 those who are saved by God's grace, and the rest who are blinded by God's judgment. You really have three groups of people on the earth. This great, large mass of humanity, unsaved, but not condemned. Then you have a group of people who are saved. They came out of that mass of humanity. They believe the gospel, and they're saved. They came out of that mass of humanity. They believe the gospel, and they're saved. And then on the other extreme, you have a group of people that persistently rejected that gospel, and God has declared them eternally lost. Once they're in that group, there's nothing that
Starting point is 01:44:21 we can do to save them. You're not going to reach them. Our work as the church is for that massive body of people in the middle. They're still up for grabs. They can go one way or the other. see I don't I don't believe that I don't believe in predestination in the sense that God has already chosen who's going to be saved and who's not going to be saved because I believe that there is the issue of free will is involved we can't save ourselves God is the only one who can save us but he gives us a path to salvation that path is to the cross faith in Jesus Christ but after many years of rejecting that path we're at risk that he turns us over to a reprobate mind doc I need to get a drink of water please okay well you know there there's a passage in John chapter
Starting point is 01:45:34 3 verse 18 which says he that believeth on him is not condemned but he that believeth not is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God and so there is some point and you know Romans chapter 1 talks about this too that there's a point that God gives up that God allows the condemnation to just come through is God choosing that no we have to deal with the scripture says God's not willing that any should perish, but that all come to repentance. But God also has foreknowledge too.
Starting point is 01:46:12 And so at the same time, He sees ahead and says, alright, you've made this choice. I don't want you to make this choice. I love you. I sent my son to die for you, to pay for your sins. But at some point, you to make this choice. I love you. I sent my son to die for you, to pay for your sins, but at some point, you have rejected me completely. That's a scary thought, because we,
Starting point is 01:46:32 that's right, modern Christianity wants God to forgive us, and to save us, and to, you know, and God does do those things, but they neglect the judgment of God. They forget that you brought this up a few minutes ago about there's a legal, a judicial condemnation, if you will, according to God's nature and his word. So in many ways, it's a legal thing. You are now legally obligated to be condemned you brought it on yourself yes so you know legally in the United States the title felon is you know as serious as you can have a charge against you you're a felon. In the courts of heaven, it's reprobate. Right.
Starting point is 01:47:31 Once you're sealed as a reprobate, there's no hope. Reprobates are deprived of the light of life because they reject God's truth. They are blinded by the word of God because they voluntarily, out of malice towards God, reject his word. But preachers and teachers must not be discouraged by a sparse response
Starting point is 01:48:14 to their sermons and lessons. The fruit of the gospel must not be lost through negligence. We have to recognize that it is the responsibility of each human to respond to the gospel, and our responsibility is to proclaim the gospel, the truth of God, and leave it up to God to decide who has responded. That's our responsibility. Verse 16, but blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. Jesus is looking at his disciples and saying, you're blessed. Your eyes are blessed. Your ears are blessed.
Starting point is 01:48:56 You're not one of them. Why? Because you see the truth. You hear the truth. Your heart receives the truth. You hear the truth. Your heart receives the truth. You're blessed. Their blessedness stems from their voluntary
Starting point is 01:49:12 openness to receiving, accepting, and understanding the teachings of Jesus Christ. Amen. So, Dr., we need to stop. I guess we should stop for communion
Starting point is 01:49:27 yeah we've got about 10 minutes left here so this is probably a good break here for us and so but you know what you're saying there Rick is the is really important for us to understand in that we're blessed because we were responding
Starting point is 01:49:44 to this message we're responding to this message. We're responding to what the Lord has done in our lives, what he's saying to us in his word. And it goes on in verse 17 to say, you know, everybody up to this point, they were looking forward to this time, to this moment of time where you can see and you can hear the good things of god yes that's right he's saying the prophets the great prophets were waiting for this day so for most certainly i tell you that many prophets and righteous men and the righteous men desire to see the things which you see and didn't see them and to hear the things which you hear and didn't hear them praise even though they didn't
Starting point is 01:50:31 see it they knew someday somebody would see it praise god they knew somebody would hear it it's it's like um moses standing on top of Mount Nebo. Moses got a glimpse of the promised land. He saw it. He never got to walk in it. But he saw it and so the prophets of old could see the the age of the gospel they didn't know really how it was going to come about right they could see it and jesus
Starting point is 01:51:19 saying you're blessed because you're alive to see it. You're alive to hear it. That makes you more blessed than the prophets of old. You're more blessed than Moses, more blessed than Isaiah and Ezekiel and Jeremiah. You're more blessed than all of them. You're more blessed than Abraham. Yes. You're more blessed than Moses. And if they were blessed in their day,
Starting point is 01:51:51 in the day of the gospel message, think how much more blessed we are today. Yes. When you put it in that perspective, then you can comprehend the great treasure that we have in our hands, in our hearts, the gospel. The gospel which was prophesied for thousands of years, and yet the prophets themselves never saw it, never fully understood it and we live in the age when it has been revealed and the mysteries of god have been made known amen this this is why the gospel is good news it's good news because the prophets knew that this message would be preached someday. And so the good news is it's finally here. And there's a way to be reconciled to God.
Starting point is 01:52:50 Don't harden your heart. Don't close your eyes. Don't close your ears. Receive it and be born again. The Holy Spirit will lead you to repentance and salvation. That's the message that we have today. Amen. All right. Well, we appreciate you joining us today for this Bible study, and we meet every day at 8 a.m. live on faithvalues.com. And on every Friday, we participate in the Lord's Supper,
Starting point is 01:53:18 and we're going to prepare for that at this moment in time. So if you have bread and either grape juice or red wine let's get that ready and we're going to pray over those elements and what we normally do before we participate in the lord's supper is we do that that system check if you will just like a pilot before he takes off in his plane he checks all the instrument panel and checks all the make sure everything is is is ready to go for the flight and so we're going to do that system check right now before we partake in the Lord's Supper that the Lord would do a system check on our hearts
Starting point is 01:53:54 and on our minds today that we would hear and that we would see what God is wanting to say to us and wanting to show us, just like Jesus was talking about in this passage quoting Isaiah Rick would you mind praying for us this morning that do that system check by the Holy Spirit in our lives today all right father holy father become in the name of Father, none of us hesitate to take our car or truck to the garage, the repair shop, and ask them to do a diagnostic test on our car's engine or a truck's engine. None of us hesitate to do it. We're asking that your Holy Spirit would do a diagnostic test on our hearts
Starting point is 01:54:47 show us what needs to be fixed what's not functioning right what's out of place what things need to be replaced in our hearts and minds you do it individually for each of us none None of us are perfect. We're all sinners, but we're all saved. And we're grateful, Father, for your mercy and grace. Father, cleanse us, purify us. Remove all the soil that we've accumulated from our exposure to the world in the past week. And make us clean to come to your table.
Starting point is 01:55:33 In the name of Jesus, amen. Amen. Now, if you have the elements of communion, bread and either fruit of the red wine or grape juice. We're going to pray the Lord's blessing over it at this time and that we won't enter in that unworthily either. And why we pray over the elements is that we keep in mind how holy this is. This is not just a casual thing or a habit or just something to check off on a list. This is something very important. It's what the Lord told us to do until he comes again. And so let's pray over these elements. Almighty God, in your tender mercy,
Starting point is 01:56:10 you gave your only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to suffer death upon the cross for our redemption. And he offered himself and made once for all time a perfect and sufficient sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. And he instituted this remembrance of his passion and death, which he commanded us to continue until he comes again. And so, Father, we ask you to bless and sanctify with your word and Holy Spirit these gifts of bread and wine that we may partake of his most blessed body and blood. Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed once for all upon the cross. Therefore, let us keep the feast.
Starting point is 01:56:48 Alleluia. On the night that he was betrayed, our Lord Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, Take, eat. This is my body, which is given for you, do this in remembrance of me. The body of our Lord Jesus Christ, which was given for you, preserve your body and soul to everlasting life. This is the bread of heaven. Take and eat in remembrance that Christ died for you.
Starting point is 01:57:26 After supper, Jesus took the cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them saying drink this all of you for this is my blood of the new covenant which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins whenever you drink it do this in remembrance of me glory to god hallelujah thank you jesus the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ which was shed for you preserve your body and soul to everlasting life drink the cup of salvation remembrance that Christ's blood was shed for you be thankful
Starting point is 01:57:56 behold the Lamb of God behold him who takes away the sins of the world and blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb this sacrament is the gift of god for the people of god feed on him by faith with thanksgiving that christ died for you god bless you for joining us today here for morning manna where we get together every weekday morning 8 a.m on faithinvalues.com live.
