Starting point is 00:00:00 True news, the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help us God. I'm Doc Burkhardt. It's election day in Georgia, again, and the runoff between Senator Warnock and challenger Herschel Walker will determine the balance of power moving forward in the U.S. Senate. Meanwhile, in the House of Representatives, another power struggle is underway. And while it is assumed that Kevin McCarthy will be the next House speaker, other names are popping up to challenge the presumed winner. One name that the House Freedom Caucus is providing is one that we here on True News spoke about months ago. Could we see Donald Trump as the next Speaker of the House?
Starting point is 00:00:56 Joining me to talk about this story and world headlines is True News host and founder Rick Wiles, somewhere overlooking the Dead Sea in Jordan. Hello, Rick. Good to see you, sir. It's late night there in Jordan, and so you're looking good. You recovered from your flight. Well, I've been up, let's see, it's almost midnight. It's a few minutes from midnight. And I've been up since 4 a.m. Monday. I got a little bit of sleep on the plane, some light sleep, not very restful, but I'm feeling good. I'm doing okay. And it's beautiful weather here. Like I said, it's about midnight. I'm at the Dead Sea.
Starting point is 00:01:48 And I would say it's, you know, the temperature is in the 50s right now. Really? Okay. Yeah. It's very, very pleasant. Just enough to wear a jacket. Nothing extremely chilly. But here, Doc, tomorrow, tomorrow night, there will be a gathering here at the Dead Sea and about 500 VIPs will gather to have dinner with King Abdullah. And somehow my name got on that list. I don't know how they did that mistake,
Starting point is 00:02:20 but my name got on that list. And so I've been very honored to be one of the invitees of this function. And King Abdullah is going to make a major announcement tomorrow night regarding a massive project that is going to be built here in Jordan that is going to be of great interest to all Christians worldwide. So I'm going to wait until tomorrow night.
Starting point is 00:02:51 I'll tell you tomorrow night, because by the time we record True News tomorrow night, the event will be over, and I'll be able to tell you what was announced. But I don't want to give away the details. I already know. I was given a briefing, and that's the way I got invited to this. Back in the summer, I think it was July or August, when I came to Jordan, I had a meeting with a government official
Starting point is 00:03:23 who gave me a private briefing about this project. And after that meeting, that's when my name was placed on the invitees list. And so here I am today at this event. But I know who's orchestrating it. Amen. It's the Lord Jesus Christ. this event but i know i know who's orchestrating it amen is the lord jesus christ he's he is uh opening doors for us here and then uh tomorrow morning and afternoon and then thursday morning afternoon and evening i have a full schedule of of appointments with some very important Jordanian officials,
Starting point is 00:04:08 both government leaders and business leaders. And so it's going to be a very productive meeting. And I'm very excited about being here on this trip. It's amazing. You know, I've never visited Jordan in my entire life until this year. And now this is my fourth trip this year. So something's going on here in Jordan. And we'll see what the Lord does here in 2023. Yes, Rick. And it all started with a prayer several years ago. And so prayer changed things, not only for this ministry, but for your life personally. And I believe that prayer probably brought about this event that you're going to be
Starting point is 00:04:51 attending tomorrow night. And so, you know, we'll know in the times of eternity what that one prayer that we started with and the things that happened as a result of it. Prayer changes things, Rick. That's right. In addition to prayer, there is faith. Faith is involved. And you just saw my assistant walk by. He's here to make sure everything's going quite well. Faith is involved. You have to have faith that God will do great and mighty things.
Starting point is 00:05:28 You have to believe that he will do it. And then obedience must be part of the equation. Because faith without works is dead. Faith without works is as dead as the sea that's right behind me. The sea is literally just a few thousand feet away. And you know, it's dead. There's nothing in it. Well, faith without works is dead.
Starting point is 00:05:56 And so you can pray, but if you don't have faith and if you don't take action steps, nothing's going to come out of that prayer. Because it's faith that pleases God. We pray. We ask him for things. The main thing that we should ask him for is that his will be done on earth as it is in heaven. That's the reason for prayer, that you're making yourself available to Him on earth to do His will. And you know what, Doc? The sky's the limit.
Starting point is 00:06:37 And in 2018, many people watching remember when this happened. January 2018, I heard the Holy Spirit. I didn't hear an audible voice. I just heard that quiet, still voice in my spirit say, pray for King Abdullah and his family. And the Holy Spirit told me to pray for the king's protection, the protection of the king and his entire family. Pray for him to have wisdom
Starting point is 00:07:06 to govern his nation with godly wisdom, pray for him to make good decisions, and also pray that his eyes would be open to plots and schemes. Yes. And I'm not going to go into it, but there was a major plot that was revealed about a year ago. And it rocked this nation. I guess, yeah, maybe two years ago, but it rocked this nation. There was a coup that was being planned. So I believe that as Christians were praying for King Abdullah, his eyes were open and he saw plots that were underway. The main thing is that I took a step and
Starting point is 00:08:00 obeyed the Lord. He said, pray. Pray for King Abdullah. Two weeks later, this is January 2018, President Trump invited you and me to Davos, Switzerland, to the World Economic Forum. And we arrived. I mean, that happened so fast that we had to go through so many steps to qualify for security clearances and so forth. But we got it done in a couple of weeks and we arrived in Davos, Switzerland, and there
Starting point is 00:08:31 stood King Abdullah. Yes. With other world leaders. And even though we didn't get an opportunity to talk to him, the Lord showed us, this is how fast I can put you in the presence of kings and ministers and leaders of the world. And so ever since that time, 2018, I had been praying for the king. Well, here I am.
Starting point is 00:08:59 I'm sitting in his kingdom. And tomorrow night, we'll be having dinner with him. This is an amazing thing that has happened, Doc. And again, I am in awe of how God lives in the lives of simple people
Starting point is 00:09:18 who simply believe him and trust him and obey. And everybody, everybody watching us right now can do the same thing. There's no limitation. He's not a respecter of persons. Amen. And so one ambassador of a heavenly kingdom visiting an earthly kingdom this week and praying for the Lord to open amazing doors as we've been obedient in faith.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Well, Rick, go ahead. One more thing. I don't want to give away why we're here, what the big announcement is. But you just said one kingdom involved with another kingdom, a heavenly kingdom involved with an earthly kingdom. But the earthly kingdom, the Hesamite kingdom that King Abdullah leads as the sovereign ruler of that kingdom, he is going to make a major announcement tomorrow night
Starting point is 00:10:23 that is very deeply connected to the heavenly kingdom. Right. So then that's going to be exciting to talk about. I know a little bit about it, too. But, you know, but tomorrow we'll be able to talk all about it. So, Rick, we're going to get an update on that tomorrow evening. In the meantime, things are still happening in the world around us and in the U.S. in politics.
Starting point is 00:10:49 And you came across some information today that really kind of confirmed some of the things that we talked about in the past. There's a transition of power going on in Washington, D.C., even as we speak. It's assumed that Kevin McCarthy is the hands down, you know, winner for Speaker of the House, but that's not necessarily so, is it, Rick? No, it's not. And if he was the hands down winner, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Right now, I would say that he has the upper hand and most likely will become the Speaker. But there is a possibility that he will not be me,
Starting point is 00:11:36 the Speaker of the House. And I think we ought to talk about it here today. Right. Well, let's start off with this story coming from CNN. There's a challenger here. Arizona Republican announces his run for House Speaker, complicating Kevin McCarthy's path to the speakership. House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy's bid for the speakership grew more
Starting point is 00:11:57 complicated on Tuesday after a hard right Republican announced his bid for the gavel next month, a move that could set off a messy floor fight and leave their party without a candidate who can win the 218 votes needed to become Speaker. Now, he said, I'm running for Speaker to break the establishment. This is from what Biggs wrote on Twitter. Kevin McCarthy was created by, elevated by, and maintained by the establishment. Now, to become elected speaker, Kevin McCarthy can only afford to lose four votes when the House meets next month. Last month, when he defeated Biggs for his party's nomination,
Starting point is 00:12:38 McCarthy lost 31 votes despite winning 188. Now, with Biggs' candidacy, McCarthy detractors can vote for an alternative to run the House, which will have 222 GOP seats. If McCarthy can't win 218 votes in the first ballot, it will go to multiple ballots until something happens, until someone does, something that hasn't happened in about a century. So we have this situation where there could be a multiple ballot situation, and that could split the GOP power base. Another story from CNN, and this was actually back last month, and this talks about the challenge that Biggs made initially to Kevin McCarthy about a month ago. The House Republican Conference voted for House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to be its leader after an
Starting point is 00:13:32 underwhelming midterm election performance launched a search among conservatives for a challenger. The vote puts McCarthy in line to be the next Speaker of the House, presuming Republicans win at least three more seats of the 16 that have not yet been projected by CNN. And so McCarthy won 188 to 31 against Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs. It was a secret ballot and McCarthy only needed to earn a simple majority at the conference. Rick, they talked that the multiple ballot situation hasn't occurred in more than a century. That's right. So let's stick with this article that we just these two that we just talked about, because in in November, the House Republicans, the ones who had been elected in the November election, the House Republican Conference, voted to nominate Kevin McCarthy as the speaker. What's important to see in that article
Starting point is 00:14:37 is that 31 House Republicans voted no. Right. They didn't have another candidate. They simply said no to Kevin McCarthy. Now, it was a secret ballot. Why is this important? Because when the full House meets to elect the speaker and the Democrats are voting and the Republicans are voting. If four, well, if five, five of those 31 Republicans who voted against McCarthy, if five or more vote no, abstain or whatever, he will not win the speakership on the first ballot. If only five.
Starting point is 00:15:28 That will block him from winning the speakership on the first ballot. It will go to the second ballot. And if he doesn't get the majority again, it will go to the third ballot. Now, you mentioned the historical votes. Has this ever happened in the history of the USA? Yes, many times. And some of the speakerships, it is astounding how many ballots they had to conduct in order to choose a speaker. Yes, it's actually really a fascinating story here.
Starting point is 00:16:08 We have this from the House website itself. Speaker elections are decided by multiple ballots, and the House has elected a speaker 127 times. They've had 127 elections for speaker since 1789, 14 times with multiple ballots. But there were instances where if you look at this list here, this is just an example here. Some of these, you know, the second, maybe even go to the 10th ballot, but look at the one for the 34th Congress in 1855. That's not a misprint, folks. It went to 133 ballots to finally elect Nathaniel Prentice Banks as Speaker of the House in 1855. So it was a very contentious time in U.S. politics during that time. But, Rick, can you imagine the U.S. House today going to 133 ballots? I mean, that would be astounding, wouldn't it? It would be. But the very next one, after that 143 ballot election, I think it was 44 ballots.
Starting point is 00:17:25 And that was the speakership. There you go. The 36th Congress. That's at the very beginning of the Civil War. Right. the selection of a speaker was highly contagious because the country was deeply divided and running right up to the beginning of a civil war yes so that gives us some indication now these fights can go on for months they were seven weeks without a speaker in that 1855 election there until they finally had the ballots at the 133rd ballot. That's just incredible to believe. Now, Rick, there's
Starting point is 00:18:14 National Files reporting this story here that he's saying it's not necessarily Kevin McCarthy that's going to be the new House speaker. And he's putting it out there. It'll be apparent in the coming weeks who the next speaker will be. And it's not Kevin McCarthy. So GOP Rep. Ralph Norman of South Carolina announced his opposition to establishment leader Kevin McCarthy's Speaker of the House campaign and told Real America's Voice in a recent interview that it will be apparent in the coming weeks who the next Speaker of the House will be. Now, Freedom Caucus Rep. Ralph Norman expressed his staunch opposition to Kevin McCarthy's speaker ambitions and pushed back on the phony title of Speaker-elect that McCarthy has given
Starting point is 00:19:02 himself, reminding viewers that the next Speaker is yet to be elected and won't be until January 3rd. Now, as for who that Speaker could be, Norman says it won't be McCarthy and it may not even be a sitting member of Congress. That signaled that plans revealed an explosive House Freedom Caucus memo, which was published by National File,
Starting point is 00:19:27 could be in the works and that a movement among congressional patriots to make President Donald J. Trump the next Speaker of the House could well be afoot. He said, I will tell your viewers also that an outside member, you do not have to be a sitting member of Congress to serve. It will be apparent in the coming weeks who that person will be. And it will, I will tell you, it will be interesting if everything plays out. So, Rick, we've actually talked about this over the past few months, about this very possibility. First of all, you do not have to be a sitting member of Congress to be the Speaker of the House, do you?
Starting point is 00:20:09 No, you don't. And I think, Doc, we've actually been talking about this for over a year. I think we started talking about it last year, speculating that the 2022 midterm elections could actually usher in Donald Trump as the Speaker of the House. What Congressman Norman said was that in the coming weeks, it's going to become apparent who this outsider is going to be. Somebody is going to be revealed. Now, he didn't say President Trump.
Starting point is 00:20:46 He just said a person who is not a member of the House, somebody outside of the House of Representatives is going to, well, either be nominated or is going to announce that he or she is running. I was trying to think of somebody besides President Trump. Who else would have the political appeal that could sway the majority of Republicans in the House to vote for that man or woman? And I'm not sure if I can come up
Starting point is 00:21:23 with any names right now, but I think he is alluding to President Trump. And notice that the vote for Speaker will be January 3rd. Yes. Three days before the anniversary of January 6th. That's right. Just imagine the Speaker's gavel handed to Donald J. Trump. Just incredible. He gavels, calls the order the new Congress, and he presides over the House of Representatives as the Speaker of the House.
Starting point is 00:22:00 Now, is the Biden administration going to arrest the speaker of the house would they call the sergeant at arms and say arrest this man that no they don't have they don't have the power that's right they don't sergeant of arms responds to the speaker that's right by the way also the speaker who appoints the sergeant of arms could could instruct the sergeant of arms to release all of the surveillance camera video taken on january 6th that the american people have not seen we we may see things that that the democrats don't want us to see. Right. Well, Rick, like federal agents involved in the insurrection. Well, in that National Fire article, it mentioned that there was a memo that had been circulating from the House Freedom Caucus. And we've got a live scroll of this here.
Starting point is 00:23:03 And apparently this is genuine, where they're speaking about the possibility of House Speaker Trump. And this was published back on November 14th. And they lay out the case for the legal basis for a non-member as House Speaker. And they mention in this particular memo Donald Trump as Speaker of the House. And they list the reasons why it could be absolutely legal and constitutional for Donald Trump to be Speaker of the House. It also lays out the case throughout this memo here that there could be certain actions that as speaker, Mr. Trump could take immediately and also to, like you said, release the information regarding the January 6th event and so many other things that could happen. Now, in this particular memo, Rick, they're only talking about President Trump being Speaker of the House temporarily at the time and then stepping back and allowing for the natural process
Starting point is 00:24:09 that is normally in place. But if he becomes Speaker of the House, yes, that's what it says later in the memo here. So these that you're seeing on the screen right now, these are some of the actions that the President, excuse me, the Speaker of the House, Donald Trump, could take. Release 14,000 hours of January 6th video footage. Reestablish another House Un-American Activities Committee.
Starting point is 00:24:36 Establish a First Amendment Committee to end big tech and Chinese influence on American internet freedom. Nuremberg 2.0 committee to investigate and try and convict any individual corporation or government official at any level implicated in imposing illegal mandates and lockdowns. And a select committee to review the 2020 election and the January 6th event. And once again, down there at the bottom of the screen, Donald J. Trump's short-term speakership will conclude after these primary objectives are initiated and will be followed by the election of a House speaker who will continue to pursue these objectives. And so this is a genuine memo from the House Freedom Caucus that has been circulated and has caused some controversy and angst among some members of Congress. Well, Doc, I've got a different thought about this. If President Trump
Starting point is 00:25:34 would be chosen as the Speaker of the House, last night you and I talked about his comments that the Constitution should be suspended because the election was corrupt. And I said, no, that's not the way to deal with this situation. You let the Constitution do what it's written to do. And the procedure is the Speaker of the House becomes the President. Well, if Donald Trump is the Speaker of the House, he becomes the President. That's right.
Starting point is 00:26:14 If Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have to step down, he's third in line. He becomes President at that time. And it's completely constitutional, legitimate, and legal. Yeah, this is a fascinating idea to even consider that something like this could take place. But the Constitution here has provided an answer to the response of any kind of election interference. It allows for an opposition ideology or know, ideology or party to step
Starting point is 00:26:47 in and say, something is not right here. Something's not kosher here. Well, the Speaker of the House obviously is, you know, appointed by the majority party. So if the Democrats had retained control of the House, Donald Trump would not become the speaker in any way. But because the Republicans have a narrow majority, he could become the speaker. And if the evidence is released that the Bidens are corrupted puppets of the Chinese Communist Party. And evidence is released that there was a coup to destabilize and unseat President Trump. But that coup involved elements of the U.S. intelligence agencies, big corporations, Silicon Valley tech companies, the news media, the Democratic Party, and others, then there could be enough pressure brought to bear that
Starting point is 00:27:56 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris be forced to resign. And at some point, the American people have got to rise up and do what the Eastern Europeans did in the late 80s and early 90s. They went into the streets peacefully and said to the communists, leave, get out. And the communists could not believe that the people turned against them and they fled. So we have to do the same thing and force Biden and Kamala Harris to resign and allow Speaker of the House Donald J. Trump to return to the White House as the rightfully elected president of the United States. Yes. Well, it's going to be fascinating to watch this particular drama play out in the House over the challenge of the speakership. And we're going to be watching it carefully and reporting on it here. Another important event with a balance of power at stake here is what's happening in Georgia right now, Rick, between current Senator Warnock and Republican challenger Hershel Walker.
Starting point is 00:29:15 And this was a contentious election last month that neither one received a majority of the votes. And so it went to a runoff election, which is taking place today. So polls are open in Georgia today. And so the fight is on. And this determines the balance of power for the U.S. Senate. If Hershel Walker should win this, and right now he's got the kind of the underdog going into this today, then it could radically change what happens in D.C. We do have this report from Voice of America that talks about this crucial election today. Voters in the southern state of Georgia headed back to the polls this week with a choice that will impact the entire nation. Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock. And I got a
Starting point is 00:30:06 feeling that I'm gonna finish first one more time. And Republican challenger Herschel Walker. Guys, we don't have no more time. We don't have no more time. What they've done to this country in two short years. Both failed to achieve a 50% majority of votes in the November midterm election, leading to this runoff that will decide if Democrats will hold a 51-seat majority in the Senate next year. It's very rare that you go an entire Congress, an entire two years, where some senator doesn't leave, whether by choice or retirement, God forbid, a death. And so having that one seat majority, it can be a really big difference maker. If Walker wins, Democrats will be forced to continue breaking ties in the U.S. Senate with the vote of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Starting point is 00:30:58 If Warnock wins, analysts say Democrats will secure a key advantage. It's important to the committee structure. You know, that was a shared committee responsibility now. And you'll have clear chairs who kind of drive the calendar, drive what issues will come up, you know, in front of the Senate. Both Walker and Warnock have faced controversies about their character, with Warnock facing questions about his record as a landlord and Walker facing allegations he paid for abortions. Republican voters say they will still vote for Walker. He has made mistakes, you know, and he shares his views.
Starting point is 00:31:37 And, you know, what's important is the here and now and the future, you know, and the survival of our country. Warnock is making the case that Democrats will protect abortion rights and are helping rebuild the economy. The Democratic Party and Senator Warnock in particular really kind of focus on the everyday issues of everyday Americans. This runoff election marks the second time in two years that Georgia voters have played a key role in deciding control of the U.S. Senate.
Starting point is 00:32:05 Katherine Gypsin, VOA News, Washington. Rick, as the election continues today, we'll maybe know some more later tonight. But knowing Georgia politics, it could take days before we know who the actual winner is. One of the aspects, the reason why this is so important, is there's a name in Washington, D.C. that becomes very important as we move forward. Let's say Herschel Walker wins
Starting point is 00:32:33 and we generally get into a tie situation. You know, that means... If Herschel... Oh, yes, if Herschel Walker wins, the Republican, yes, the Senate will remain tied. Because for the last two years, it's been 50-50. And Mitch McConnell and Charles Schumer have had to share power.
Starting point is 00:32:57 Right. And the committee memberships and chairmen, all that's been shared between Republicans and Democrats. If there's a tie vote, Vice President Kamala Harris breaks the tie. But if Senator Warnock, the Democrat, wins, then the Democrats will have a one-seat majority. It'll be 51-49. And Charles Schumer will be in firm control of the U.S. Senate. And all Senate committees will have radical Democrats as the chairperson leading those committees. So a lot is at stake. And what's interesting, Doc, is that you have this deep south state of Georgia. And for the first time, both nominees of the two major parties
Starting point is 00:33:48 are both black Christian men. So Herschel Walker is a Christian and Senator Warnock is a Christian. He's a pastor of a church. And so, you know, this is an interesting development in the history women running in the state of Georgia. So, you know, that's a good sign. I'm encouraged by that. But you alluded, Doc, to a name. Yes. So my thought is the most powerful man in the U.S. Senate right now is, we'll put his picture up, and Senator Joe Manchin, Democrat of West Virginia.
Starting point is 00:34:59 So now, Rick, why is he now probably the most important U.S. senator moving forward? Well, Joe Manchin is an old-style moderate Democrat. And, you know, West Virginia is a very conservative state. And he comes from a long history of politics. His family has been in politics for decades in West Virginia. But the old Democratic Party, not the wild, radical Democratic Party. And the far left Democratic Party really dislikes him because he doesn't give in to their demands. And so he's had a very rocky two years with the Democrats who have been attacking him and smearing him and pressuring him and threatening him and doing all kinds of things. And he hasn't given in to it. But I think he's had a belly full of it.
Starting point is 00:36:04 I think he's fed up with it. If Herschel Walker wins tonight, then the Senate is, once again, 50-50. All it would take is Joe Manchin announcing that he was becoming a Republican. And immediately the Senate would be 51 Republicans, 49 Democrats. If Joe Manchin, if that happens, Joe Manchin will be able to get for the state of West Virginia anything he asked for. Yeah, they could just basically write a blank check for Joe Manchin. You want a bridge? Yeah, you could have all the bridges you want.
Starting point is 00:36:53 Believe me, West Virginia is a great state. It was my neighboring state when I grew up in Maryland. I love West Virginia. And there's a lot of places that could use a new bridge, Doug. Some beautiful rivers and lots of mountains. But seriously, he would be able to demand that he could have a shopping list of what he wants for the state of West Virginia. And he would get it because the House Republicans and the Senate Republicans would agree to it. Now, if Senator Warnock, the Democrat, wins tonight, Joe Manchin could still switch parties. And once again, deny the Democrats the sweet taste of victory and make them continue to share power with the Republicans.
Starting point is 00:37:52 Well, Rick, this is the most powerful senator tonight. One way or the other, he he will decide which way the Senate goes. So in reality, Senator Manchin wins the Georgia election tonight no matter what, right? You got it. So, well, Rick. You know, I don't know. He might demand that he become the Senate majority leader and push out Charles Schumer. Wow. Now that would be quite the drama.
Starting point is 00:38:23 We'll be watching for this tonight. He can play both sides. He could play both sides. So, well, Rick, another story coming out of the U.S. Congress here is recently the there's the fight going on for what I call the disrespect for marriage bill that's going on up there. They're calling the Respect for Marriage Act and everything. But House Democrats, even within the Respect for Marriage Act, they're trying to get it even further to remove any religious liberty clauses that are in it. So House Democrats, this is Fox News, are blocking religious liberty amendment to a same-sex marriage bill. House Democrats have blocked a Republican amendment that would have strengthened religious liberty protections in the Respect for Marriage Act, a bipartisan bill that would require the federal government to recognize all marriages, including same-sex marriages, that are legal in the state where they took place. afternoon on an amendment offered by Representative Chip Roy of Texas, Republican from Texas, that would have prohibited the federal government from retaliating against any individual or
Starting point is 00:39:31 organization that opposes same-sex marriage on religious or moral grounds. Committee Chairman Representative James McGovern, a Democrat from Massachusetts, refused to allow Roy's amendment to advance to the House floor, explaining that Democrats want to pass the Respect for Marriage Act during the lame duck session of Congress before Republicans take over the House next year. And so once again, Rick, we see where the lines are being drawn here as far as morality and those issues here in the U.S. Democrats falling on the side, we need to just take away all religious liberty. You can't even speak up or against same-sex marriage. Doc, if you read the news articles that quote leaders of the uh homosexual movement they want all religious
Starting point is 00:40:29 protections removed they're not happy with this bill at all they think it has too many religious protections in it right whereas christian leaders believe it doesn't have enough but the radical homosexual leaders are determined to remove all religious protections so here's the thing to understand about what this bill is doing they they they've the radical dems and and remember there was a group of republicans who voted for this bill in the senate and the House. They would never would have made it this far without the support of those weasels in the Republican Party. Right. is going to overturn the Supreme Court decision that said homosexual marriage is constitutional.
Starting point is 00:41:32 They're afraid of this. That's why they're rushing to get this law passed. In other words, it's establishing a national marriage law. That's right. That's exactly what it's doing. Yes. Now, here's what we have to understand about it. It does not impose homosexual marriage in all 50 states. No. Because what they are anticipating is that the Supreme Court will say it is, this is a state's rights issue. And so the past court decision made all states accept gay marriages.
Starting point is 00:42:17 What they're afraid is that the Supreme Court is going to rescind that decision and say it will be by state by state. Now, what this law does says if one state, if only one state out of the 50 states has homosexual marriage, that couple married in that state that has legalized homosexual marriage is married in the eyes of the other 49 states. Right. They must recognize it as a legitimate marriage. That's what this law does. Right. Now, here's what's really frightening about it.
Starting point is 00:43:00 What if a radical leftist state like California, years from now, this isn't unthinkable, where we're going as a society with the collapse of morality. What if in 10 years, California lowers the age of marriage to 10? Why not? Yes. I mean, it could happen. We don't think it could today, but we didn't think gay marriage would be here today either. So what if Massachusetts or Maryland or one of these other far-left Democrat states, what if they said, well, we're passing a law that four people can be married together? And that has to be recognized by every other state.
Starting point is 00:43:57 Every other state would have to accept that marriage. That's what this law does. Well, this is, I lay this right at the feet of, you know of pastors and churches over the past 40 years. We allowed this to happen. The church in America allowed this to happen. This is where we're at right now. We wouldn't talk about it from the pulpit. We wouldn't teach about it on Christian TV. We wouldn't say anything about it.
Starting point is 00:44:34 We just decided, well, we're just going to get along. Rick, I think it was last week you pointed me to an interview that Salem radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt was doing with Vice President Mike Pence. And the more I listened to that interview and watched him, I would just get more and more upset because neither one of them would really take a stand for marriage. I mean, Hugh Hewitt on Salem Radio is for this bill. Oh, I know. Yeah, he's actually for this bill. And so, but you couldn't, but he, but in talking to Vice President Pence, he couldn't even pin down Vice President
Starting point is 00:45:08 Pence to make a commitment on it either. No. Now, three or four times, Hugh Hewitt gave Mike Pence an opportunity to say he was against the bill, and Mike Pence refused to say it. The only thing that Mike Pence would say is, personally, he supports traditional marriage. Well, that's the same weasel cop-out that politicians used about abortion. They would say, well, I'm personally against abortion, but I don't want to interfere. I don't want to impose my views on other people. That's basically what Mike Pence is saying. I have my views, but I am not going to impose my views on other people. No, so you're going to let other people impose their views on the rest of us. This is what happens when salt and light are removed from the culture, Rick, right? I mean, when the church has quit being salty,
Starting point is 00:46:06 when we've quit shining brightly, this is what happens. We see the total destruction of social morals and morality. We were meant to be an influence. As Christians, we were meant to be an influence on this culture. The Constitution is worthless without a moral nation. Doc, I'm sitting here at the Dead Sea in Jordan, and I don't worry about—there's no reason to be concerned in Jordan, which is a Muslim nation which has a significant number of Christians who live here in Jordan. And they get along fine. Everybody is friends. But there's not going to be gay marriage in Jordan. And I'll tell you right now, Doc,
Starting point is 00:47:02 you're not going to have two men walking hand in hand at this hotel where I'm at and standing up here by the pool kissing. That's not going to happen here. It's just not going to happen. Right. This country is like what America was 50 years ago. Another aspect of Jordan there, Rick, that really stands out in my mind is they have a respect for marriage there. Here in the U.S., we don't respect marriage anymore because we don't teach it. We don't promote it. But in Jordan, every night at the hotel,
Starting point is 00:47:38 it's like somebody's getting married. I mean, and they're celebrating. I mean, they don't just say, well, let's get married. Let's get hitched. No, they have a party every night, bagpipes and everything. If I lived in Jordan, I'd probably go to a hotel every night and just sit in the lobby to watch the parties. Oh my goodness. The married parties. You're right. They absolutely embrace and celebrate marriage. And there's just so much excitement and joy and happiness when two people being married. You just you can't even imagine. In a Trinidadian hotel, two men or two women coming into the hotel as husband and wife, it's just not going to happen. It's not going to happen. The United States government would like to force them to do it.
Starting point is 00:48:39 That's right. If they could find a way to force them to violate their moral conscience, they would do it. That's what makes our leadership so evil and wicked. And it embarrasses me as an American. It just embarrasses me. Well, Rick, we're going to kind of change the topic a little bit, move away from U.S. politics and talk about what's happening around the world. And World War III is still underway and still going on in the world around us here. Apparently, RT is reporting that there was a drone attack on yet another Russian airfield.
Starting point is 00:49:15 And that was brought out by the governor of that region. An airfield in the city of Kursk has been targeted in a drone attack. And that's according to the city of Kursk has been targeted in a drone attack, and that's according to the governor of that particular region. The strike comes the day after two bases in Ryazan and Saratov regions were targeted with similar weapons. Kursk is close to Ukraine, but Ryazan and Saratov are deeper inside Russia, closer to Moscow, with the latter located some 700 kilometers from the frontier. Now, as a result of a drone attack, an oil storage tank caught fire in the area of the Kursk airfield. The fire is being
Starting point is 00:49:52 localized and all emergency agencies are on site. And that was from Kursk Region Governor Roman Starvoit said in a telegram post on Tuesday morning around 7.20 local time. We have a little bit of VO here. Some of the strikes that were taking place by the drones, a fuel tank exploding there. And so some various views of this. But Rick, what's important to realize about this for our viewers and for our listeners to understand, this right here is the reason why Russia did not want NATO in Ukraine in the first place.
Starting point is 00:50:28 This is the reason why right here. Because the reasoning was that if NATO had its missiles and everything in Ukraine, it could reach Moscow. Well, now we have Ukrainian drones that are inching toward Moscow. And so really, whoever sent these, whether Ukrainians or a surreptitious NATO ally involved in sending these drones, either way, they're making the case that Russia made right at the very beginning. We did not want foreign involvement in Ukraine. That's right. And, Doc, this is the third Russian air base to be attacked this week. And this time, we're looking at over 700 kilometers inland.
Starting point is 00:51:17 Yes. So that's pretty deep into Russian territory. On Russian news media, there are prominent political and military analysts and commentators today who are calling for massive retaliation against the capital city of Kiev. And I think that's where this is going, that something's going to there's going to be a there's going to be a Russian strike on the city and it's going to shock. It's going to shock the world. But I think the Russians are getting fed up with these attacks. I mean, it's this like I said, this is the third Russian military base to be attacked this week. Right. On Russian soil. Yes. And the Russians have to be wondering what's base to be attacked this week. Right. On Russian soil. Yes. And the Russians have to be wondering, what's going to be attacked next?
Starting point is 00:52:11 The Kremlin itself? Well, and there's also the possibility of cyber attacks going on too, Rick. This is a story that you caught today on Reuters. Russian state-owned bank. So this is a Russian bank that's basically run by the russian government russian state-owned bank vtb hit by the largest ddos attack in its history so russia's number two bank vtb was hit by the largest cyber attack in its history it said on tuesday warning of temporary difficulties in accessing its mobile app and website, but assuring customers that their data remains safe. Now, the state-owned bank said it was repelling the distributed denial-of-service attack
Starting point is 00:52:51 in which hackers attempt to flood a network with unusually high volumes of data traffic in order to paralyze it. Now, the bank's technological infrastructure is under an unprecedented cyber attack from abroad. That's the key right there, VTB said in a statement. The largest not only this year, but in the whole time the bank has operated. So, Rick, are we now beginning to see us move further along here in the cyber war aspect on attacks against Russia? Yes, we are. And that opens up the possibility
Starting point is 00:53:30 that Russia is going to retaliate with cyber attacks against U.S. banks and European banks. Where do they think this is going to go other than an escalation of attacks? Every week, it gets worse. And if we do not stop this war, the end will be nuclear weapons. Any reasonable person has to conclude we are on a fast track to nuclear war. Rick, the ramping up of military hardware and everything around the world continues to escalate here.
Starting point is 00:54:19 Now we have a new player that's getting involved in the European theater of conflict by South Korea making an agreement to supply Poland with new weapons and tanks in a massive $5.8 billion deal. Now, here lately, there's been an offloading of a lot of the Soviet air equipment into Ukraine. And so Poland now is needing to replenish some of that hardware. Polish President Andrzej Duda, the country's defense minister on Tuesday, took delivery of the first shipment of tanks and howitzers from South Korea, hailing the swift implementation of a deal signed just this summer in the face of the war in neighboring Ukraine. Duda and Mirzal Blazek were in the Polish Navy port of Gdynia on the Baltic coast to mark the
Starting point is 00:55:13 arrival by sea of the first 10 Black Panther K2 tanks along with 24 Thunder K9 Howitzers, a kind of long-range artillery weapon from a $5.8 billion deal with South Korea. Now, they stressed that South Korea responded quickly to the need by Poland, a European Union nation and NATO member, to urgently increase its deterrence and defense potential as Russia's President Vladimir Putin has invaded Ukraine just across Poland's eastern border. Poland also borders Russia as well. Korean government and defense industry officials were also present to see the weapons arrive. Now, more deliveries are planned between now and 2025.
Starting point is 00:55:58 Poland is purchasing hundreds, hundreds of K2 Black Panther tanks made by Hyundai and K9 Thunder Howitzers made by Hanwha Defense. The deal includes training, logistics, and ammunition. The conservative government in Warsaw is also buying Korean F-A-50 fighter jets, a light training and combat aircraft made jointly by Korean Aerospace and Lockheed Martin based here in the U.S. for some $3 billion. So Poland continues to arm itself up, Rick. And I believe they're arming themselves up because they're going to be getting a big slice of Ukraine here pretty soon, aren't they? They are. What stood out to me, Doc, is that South Korea,
Starting point is 00:56:48 an Asian country, interjected itself into this war in Europe. Yes. I mean, if this wasn't a world war before, we just expanded the list of players. South Korea is now in this war. Yes, the war against Russia in Ukraine. So many players that are so involved and so many alliances. It reminds me so much of everything leading up to World War I.
Starting point is 00:57:20 All these different alliances and treaties. All it takes is one event, one spark, and then suddenly the it takes is one event, one spark, and then suddenly the whole world is shooting at each other. There is someone that is speaking out against Europe's involvement in the Ukraine conflict. There is a member of European Parliament from Dublin, Ireland. She is a fireball. Her name is Claire Daly, and she regularly
Starting point is 00:57:47 excoriates the European Parliament. And she had this to say today about the recent ramp up and escalation that the EU is making in providing funds to Ukraine for the continued conflict with Russia. I don't know if you've seen this yet, Rick, but she really takes the European Parliament to task. Watch this. Billions of EU assistance going to Ukraine are not free, they're loans, which Ukraine will default on. And they come with neoliberal strings attached. If you listen to the economists, Ukraine is marked for a nightmare round of shock therapy. A sell-off of public land, deregulation of labour, sale of public assets,
Starting point is 00:58:37 on it goes. The country's future is being sold to finance a proxy war that's tearing it apart. And of course the loans have preconditions that Ukraine must uphold democracy and rule of law. But since the tap was turned on, Zelensky has banned most opposition parties, shuttered the media, attacked trade unions and workers' rights. But the billions keep flowing. This is a country our court of auditors have said was a country accused of grand corruption. And on it goes while the EU policy seems designed to prevent
Starting point is 00:59:11 peace and keep the war going at all costs as long as ordinary people pay. So between Russian tanks and European banks, there'll be little left of Ukraine when this is over. Don't forget, war is a racket and there's going to be hell to pay for't forget, war is a racket, and there's going to be hell to pay for this one. War is a racket, Rick. You remember that phrase, don't you? That's right.
Starting point is 00:59:32 So that's from General Smedley Butler. He had the book by the same name, War is a Racket. And this was after he had served as a general and defending what he saw as a defense of the nation when he was serving. But after he got out, began to see the mixture between big business and government and the war machine. He said, war is a racket and it always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. Iraq, it is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people.
Starting point is 01:00:22 Only a small inside group knows what it's about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the very many. Out of war, few people make huge fortunes. And if General Butler were alive today, he'd be saying exactly that about the situation in Ukraine, wouldn't he? He would be. And, you know, one interesting fact of history involving General Butler, at one time he was organize World War I veterans to lay siege of the U.S. Capitol and overthrow Franklin Roosevelt and install another president. That's a piece of history very few people know about. But if you want to do your research, just look up General Butler and the conspiracy to overthrow Franklin Roosevelt. But I have that book in my library, War is a Racket.
Starting point is 01:01:39 And it's the biggest business in the world. These people make trillions of dollars in blood, and they're going to be held accountable on Judgment Day. They need to think about that. They're going to be held accountable for all the death and destruction that they brought to the human race. Well, Rick, we've been talking about these shifting alliances that are happening globally. And one that we need to keep an eye on here is this next story. And it's the story that President Xi Jinping of China is going to be visiting Saudi Arabia this week. Now, this is very important to be watching this story here. Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Saudi Arabia this week in a sign that the world's top crude oil importer looks to further strengthen trade and investment relations with the top crude oil exporter and other major Gulf oil producers. Xi is expected to travel Saudi Arabia from Wednesday to Friday. The Chinese president will hold meetings with the top rulers, including King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman,
Starting point is 01:02:51 and also take part in a Riyadh Gulf China Summit for cooperation and development with the participation of leaders of other Arab Gulf countries, the Saudi agency said. Rick, could we see some activity or some movement, you think, for a possible Petro-Yuan moving forward here as a result of this particular meeting? Xi Jinping is definitely meeting with the Saudis for that purpose. He's not going there just to pay a social visit. The dollar is hanging by a thread. And the world is smelling blood. They know that this old U.S. dollar-dominated world system is coming to an end. That's why we're facing a war. The elites that run the West know that they're losing power. And this is a very dangerous time to be in, whether there's going to be a transition peacefully or through warfare. That remains to be seen.
Starting point is 01:04:06 But we're at a 500-year cycle where power switches back and forth from east to west. And the west has been in control of the world for 500 years. We're now watching it transfer. Power is being transferred to the east. Nobody's going to stop it. There's no war. Nothing's going to stop the historical cycle. It's going to take place and we're watching it happen. So, yeah, it's going to be very interesting to see what comes out
Starting point is 01:04:40 of this meeting. We've got another article here, Doc, that goes along with this. And this came out of this meeting. We've got another article here, Doc, that goes along with this. And this came out of the Jerusalem Post. And it says Saudi Arabia wants to normalize ties with Israel. Rick, in your 20 plus years of reporting here on True News, I want you to tell me what you think
Starting point is 01:05:00 about that headline. Never thought I'd see it. I never thought I'd see this story. You know, Doc, if I could step away, if there was sunlight right now, I could see
Starting point is 01:05:19 Israel from where I'm sitting. Right. Israel is directly on the other side of the Dead Sea. And then to the south of us is Saudi Arabia. So I'm sitting right here at where these things are taking place. But in this article from the Jerusalem Post, it mentions something that's related to this normalization of relationships between Saudi Arabia and Israel. Let's read the article and then I'll explain it. Okay. Well, Saudi Arabia is looking to normalize ties with Israel, although it will be a while before this ever properly manifests.
Starting point is 01:06:02 And that was reported by Israeli news outlet I-24 News. It goes on to say that the article cited Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Abdel Abduber, who recently spoke to senior American Jewish leaders. There, he guaranteed that Israeli-Saudi normalization will happen eventually, but stressed that it will take time. In addition, in a meeting with U.S. officials visiting Riyadh, courtesy of the Washington Institute, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman listed three main demands that must be met for Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords and normalize ties with Israel, according to I-24 News. Now, according to the report, these demands did not include anything about the Palestinian conflict or requests for Israel. Rather, they hinged entirely
Starting point is 01:06:55 on the U.S., specifically affirming a U.S.-Saudi alliance, proper weapons supplies to the kingdom as if it were a NATO country, and allowing Riyadh to have a restricted civil nuclear program. There's a lot to unpack in this particular article, Rick. Yes. So those last three things, those three demands, that's the shopping list of the Saudi Arabian government. And if the United States does not meet those demands, they're going to go shopping over in Beijing. That's right. And Beijing will be happy to supply all three of those items, wouldn't they?
Starting point is 01:07:44 Yes, and that's why Xi Jinping is going to Saudi Arabia this week to tell them it's a done deal. We'll give you weapons. We'll protect you. Whatever you want, you've got it. Just you need to end your ties with America and and pivot towards the east. And so Saudi Arabia is, you know, they're they're in a very strong position because they can decide which country they're going to dance with. Right. And we've got a lot of mileage to overcome because of the recent situation between the Biden administration and the Saudis that have set things back so far. So the Saudis, as you said, are in a very strong position
Starting point is 01:08:32 to pivot either direction. But you know who the losers are in all this, Rick? And that's the Palestinians. They've never, they used to be the pivot, the principal line for any negotiations with Israel or anything at all. You know, a Palestinian state, protection for the Palestinian people. But it's not just not that important anymore, is it? Except for one leader of the Middle East. Yes. leader of the Middle East. There's one man who will not compromise, who will not flinch, who will not back down
Starting point is 01:09:10 regarding the Palestinian people and that is King Abdullah. He is a defender of the Palestinian people and he demands justice for them and he will not compromise. And he's been a man of principle on this issue all of his life.
Starting point is 01:09:31 This isn't a new thing for him. And the Jordanians have been protectors of the Palestinian people for many, many years. And we'll see that continue. Rick, I know it's getting very late for you where you're at right now. And so... 1 a.m. Yes. So we got to get you tucked in and everything and get you all refreshed and ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow's a very big day, very important day. And so any final words as we begin to close out Rick? God is doing marvelous things in the world. We see a lot of evil and wickedness taking place. That's because both sides know that the end of the age of mankind is coming quickly.
Starting point is 01:10:22 And so evil is increasing, but so is righteousness. So is God's activities on the earth to prepare people for the second coming of his son. Don't spend all of your time getting a doctorate degree in demonology. Very good, yes. We can get bogged down into study and researching what evil people are doing on the planet because it's so astounding. It's so shocking. Do you think it can't be happening? But the danger is that we can get so deeply involved in talking about it that we neglect to talk about the kingdom of God.
Starting point is 01:11:14 Amen. And God is doing marvelous things on the planet. He has men and women in every country who are working for him and getting people prepared for the greatest event the universe has ever seen. The second coming of Jesus Christ and the full manifestation of his kingdom, because this current cosmos is going to end. The curtains are going to end. The curtains are going to be drawn. Lights are going to go out in the universe. And a new cosmos, a new universe, a new heavens are revealed. And the Lord Jesus Christ establishes his kingdom that shall have no end.
Starting point is 01:12:04 That's the big story. That is the big story to no end. That's the big story. That is a big story to talk about. That's the true news. All right. Well, Rick, thank you for that good word. As we close out today's program, tomorrow evening, Rick will be joining us once again with an update on this very important event
Starting point is 01:12:20 that'll be taking place tomorrow. And we're very excited. Amen. about seeing the kingdom of God expanded here on earth. Amen?
Starting point is 01:12:45 Amen. I'm not visiting any biblical sites on this trip. This is all business for the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm here for my heavenly father, and we have a very full schedule. All right. Well, on that note, we're going to close out the program here. I want to remind you,
