This is True News for Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Let's begin our commentary and analysis of today's news by looking at this Al-Arabia report. U.S. initially thought. Sources and officials familiar with U.S. intelligence said on Tuesday, U.S. officials had braced for a quicker retaliation, potentially involving rockets, missiles, or drones, to unfold as early as Sunday night or Monday. The Al Arabiya report goes on to say that while the exact nature of Iran and Hezbollah's response remains unclear, U.S. officials are confident that it is imminent.

Initial assessments had predicted an early week attack. But latest intelligence suggests that any response may be delayed until late Thursday or Friday, which would be tomorrow or the next day. It is believed that Iran will wait until after Wednesday's meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which will be held in Jeddah. So, Doc, a lot of Western news organizations like the Washington Post are reporting that Iran is rethinking

its plans to attack. You know, cooler heads are prevailing in Tehran. And American diplomacy is having its effect and also the presence of warships. And the Iranians are starting to think, well, maybe we really don't want to do this. That's a predominant theme in today's newspapers in many Western countries. I don't buy it i don't either i think they're going to be caught flat-footed when iran does make its move and so um and i'm

Well, that's a real possibility, too. And it could be just dropping propaganda into the Iranians and saying, all right, we heard this. All right, and then the Iranians say, all right, who's been talking like this? Yes, that's option one, that they're, they're deliberately, you know, planting that propaganda or the other is, uh, they're, they're, they're, they're believing their own propaganda. I'm talking about the Western media. They're believing their own propaganda, Jerusalem post. Now this, see, this next story does not sound like the Iranians are rethinking this. Right. But the Iranians, they're not buying it.

It just so happened that one of those targets was hit. So the Iranians aren't going to do it this time because they got humiliated in their city on the day of the inauguration of their new president.

Yes. So the Arab news outlets all say, hey, it was a rocket. Israeli news outlets say it was a bomb. We planted that bomb. We put it right under the guy's bed. I think the Israeli version creates far more fear in the Iranians and paranoia and humiliation. This guy was sleeping on top of a bomb for months and didn't know it, and that they were able to get inside the building. Anyhow, it's a variation on the report. But I want to get back to this. This Iranian commander saying that Israel is facing its annihilation.

What's the Webster definition of annihilation? I don't have it right now, but I bet it says... What's the Missouri definition? You're going to get wiped out. That's exactly what it means. There won't be nothing left but a crater. But there's nothing to recover. Right. If you're annihilated,

there's only ashes. Yes. So, I'm going to lean on the Iranian commander's prediction that that's where Iran's going. This isn't going to be a soft punch. We're really looking at a mega war here in the next possible five days.
