Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's headlines by examining this article

published by RT, Moscow to retaliate against Kiev's attack on strike, says Lavrov. Sergei Lavrov, the foreign minister of Russia, and the RT article says Moscow will retaliate. Not might. But will. Not could. Possibly. Moscow will retaliate against continuing Ukrainian strikes on Russian soil with Western-supplied long-range missiles, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday. His statements came after Kiev fired U.S.-made Atakom missiles at Russia's internationally recognized territory, despite an earlier warning from the Kremlin.

Lavrov told a Moscow newspaper, quote, Missile strikes deep inside Russian territory are an escalatory step. All of our warnings that these are unacceptable actions will be met with an appropriate response have been ignored. Those behind attacks on Russian citizens and infrastructure will face well-deserved punishment. Those are strong words coming out of Lavrov. Yes. This is the diplomat. Right.

He added that no escalation coming from the enemy would force us, Russia, to abandon our goals in Ukraine. In other words, whatever the West does at this point, we've already made up our minds how we're going to respond. They made a decision to respond. They've made a decision how to respond. And I believe they have decided who will receive the response. That's the important question for us right now. It's not even, for me, it's not even a matter of wondering, will a site be attacked? The question now is, what site?

What target? Who comes up first on the military attack list of Russia? Something in Europe or the United States is going to disappear very soon. The next story is TASS. Soon there will be no alternative to recognizing the United States and NATO are participants in the conflict with the Russian Federation. So this is

a statement according to Ambassador Ryabkov. And I'll let you, Doc, take this one. Yes, he quoted as saying, as in the headline there, the moment is near when there will be no other option but to recognize that the U.S. and NATO are full-fledged participants in this conflict. Now, according to Minister Ryabkov, the West is under a dangerous illusion that it can allegedly win a strategic victory over Russia. A nuclear power cannot be defeated, the deputy foreign minister said. The maximum range of the Hazel, excuse me, Courtney Robb called the West is under

that illusion. And the maximum range of their missiles that they have, according to the news source, is 5,500 kilometers. And the missile reaching up to 12,380 kilometers per hour. That's about 7,000 miles per hour and can carry a warhead weighing up to one and a half tons. And so Minister Ryabkov is saying, you know, we can respond quickly on this. 3,000-pound warhead. Flying 7,000 miles an hour. You can't, how do you

defend against that? And a maximum distance of about 3,500 miles. Right. All right,

so, last night, I simply asked AI, give me a list of military bases in the United States and NATO that are the most

actively involved in the Ukraine war. Now, this is what AI gave me. So I've not had time to verify whether this is the most accurate list, but I do recognize a number of the names. Number one, no surprise, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. This base is a key logistics hub for United States and NATO operations, including the coordination of military aid to Ukraine. Obviously, Ramstein is by far the number one military base that is coordinating the war in Ukraine. Other bases have important activities, contributions, but the headquarters is Ramstein. Right. Another one in Germany is the Grafenwahrer Training Area in Germany. And this is the location where Ukrainian troops are being trained. And it's also coordinating military assistance in Ukraine as well.

One site that we talked about in Poland last week is the Rezau Jazyanky Airport in Poland. This is a critical point for the delivery of military supplies and equipment to Ukraine. And Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo. It is critical in supporting NATO operations and logistics related to the Ukraine conflict. Also on this possible list is location here in the U.S. Fort Bragg, now Fort Liberty, here in the U.S., home to the 82nd Airborne Division, which has been involved in training and in rapid deployment operations in support of Ukraine. Fort Bragg's big. Fort Liberty, it's huge. And North Carolina, there's an enormous number of U.S. military units operating out of Fort Bragg.

It actually covers two counties in North Carolina. It's spread out over two counties? Right. So it's huge. Doc, do you have a list of some of the military units? Yeah, of course. The 82nd Airborne Division is based out of there and all of its components supporting units and everything. We also have the United States Special Operations Command is based out of Fort Bragg slash Fort Liberty. It is a critical

base here in the U.S. in support of international activities and coordinating military operations. And so there are a number of other units on the base. It's the home of the United States Army Reserve Command. It's the PSYOPs command is based in Fort Bragg, Rick. So there are a number of different divisions. We could go on all day here with the items that are listed there. This is a major support, and it's a target. Let's just be honest about it. It is a legitimate target.

My understanding is that's where they're doing the – they're bringing Ukrainian soldiers over to Fort Bragg, Fort Liberty, to train them for the war. I'm just pointing this out. So we're talking about a base in North Carolina that stretches over two counties, 251 square miles. That's a lot of land. But I would say that's a primary target. If I had to choose, my guess is Ramstein Air Base Germany will be the first NATO target that will receive a nuclear warhead. And then if I were to guess, I'd say the Poland base. Would be number two. Right. But which one, which of those five has the biggest impact? Oh, if you hit Fort Bragg, that would be huge. I mean, that would have repercussions all throughout our military here.

It'd take them time. It'd be equivalent to attacking Pearl Harbor. How many men and women are at Fort Bragg? I've got to start calling it Fort Liberty. I don't know. 52,000. Yes. 52,000 men and women in uniform at Fort Liberty. I'm trying to get this through our audience, what we're facing.

One of these bases is going to disappear. I don't think the Russians are going to attack an urban area. I mean, I don't think they're going to attack a city, New York City, L.A., Chicago, London. They're going to attack a military base. The reason is the Russians are very precise that in war, they're not killing civilians. They're attacking military people who are attacking them. And that's how they would argue it. And they would have, in their minds, legal justification that they could stand before a United Nations criminal court and say, this is why we chose this target.

They're not just, like I said, they're not just spinning a wheel saying hey guess what um louisville kentucky that's not how this is going to work they're going to choose a target that is deeply involved in the war in ukraine And for me, Ramstein, the Poland base, and Fort Liberty seem to be the ones that come up at the highest level. Now, there may be others out there that I'm not aware of, but get ready, folks. On one of my lists, Romania came up as a possible target, too. We have a major, I didn't realize how big of a NATO operational base that we had in Romania as well. And so any one of these, I mean, just the – if Russia chose to attack – Peter Robinson But the heart of it.

Peter Robinson Right. Peter Robinson The heart is Ramstein. Peter Robinson Right. Peter Robinson In Germany. Peter Robinson And think of what – Peter Robinson That's the headquarters for this war. Peter Robinson And think of the repercussions in Germany just itself if there was attack. What would Germany do?

I mean, already they're on the verge of economic collapse by choice, mind you. You know, would this push Germany into total economic collapse? Would they? Civil War? Yeah. I mean, so many things are possible. And I'm sure those calculations are also being made in the Kremlin as well. One thing we do know, according to Mr. Lavrov, according to Mr. Medvedev, according to Mr.

Putin, there will be a response. It will be on their timetable, not ours. It's true. But I don't see them delaying, Doc, because Putin gave the warning last Thursday night on national TV, and the very next day, the U.S. is telling Zelensky, hit him again, which was a direct insult to Putin. Biden didn't call Putin and say, I got the message. We're going to stand down. We don't need to blow up the world.

Calm down. Put your nukes away. No? It's not Biden. Why am I even saying Biden? Biden's down in a White House cafe eating an ice cream cone. You know,

who is the Prime Minister? Who is Obama's Prime Minister? Obama's running the country. The Prime Minister is probably Antony Blinken. I was just going to say that. Yeah, it's Antony Blinken. Yeah.

So, Blinken gave out the instructions, attack again. And now we're headed to a nuclear war. So the question is, how many nuclear attacks will we see in the next several weeks? The U.S. and NATO respond in like kind, attack a site, a military base in Russia. Russia responds, attacks another military base. This is going to go back and forth for weeks. For weeks, folks, for weeks, this is going to go on. We're going to wake up every day and discover another military base has disappeared.

It's hard to believe this is happening, Doc. It's just really, it seems so surreal. We're having these conversations. Look at this next headline. There we go. Russia has a super weapon for an inevitable response to aggression. This sounds like the Iranians. Right.

And I believe they do have a secret weapon, a super weapon. I really do believe it. That hasn't been rolled out yet. This chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, said that Russia is ready for any development of events. The country has the means to respond to threats, including, as she puts it, super weapons. We have the means, including a super weapon, to give a tangible and inevitable response. She's the Speaker of the Federation Council, and she was speaking in a plenary session. Matvienko stressed that the Russian Federation itself is not escalating the escalation.

We are forced, ultimately, to respond to it, she said. So we can expect to see a response here. So some people would say, oh, that's bluff. You don't have a super weapon. But what if they do? Is the super weapon an EMP weapon? Are we about to be put back in the Middle Ages? No technology at all.

Wiped out. Totally wiped out. And inability to repair the technology. You see, an EMP doesn't just wipe out the technology. It wipes out the ability to repair. Because you have nothing that's functioning. Right. Where do you order the parts? When you can't get online. You can't go online and the parts are being made in China. Right. They're going to say, you know what? We're having technical difficulties. We won't

be able to respond to your request for maybe a century. We have no idea what an EMP will do to this country. Well, we may not know what the super weapon is, but we do know what weapon they do have, and that's the hazel, also called hazelnut or the Oreshnik. This is RIA Novosti here with an update on that particular missile, the intermediate range missile that was fired by Russia last week. This is the new Russian ballistic missile, Oreshnik, will be able to deliver nuclear charges with a total capacity of up to 900 kilotons, said Portal Explain in the Telegram channel. In a nuclear version, Oreshnik can deliver charges with a total capacity of 900 kilotons. To give you an idea how big that is, that's 45 Hiroshima's. So if one of these hypersonic missiles comes down out of the sky in seconds over Ramstein or Fort Liberty in North Carolina.

The blast will be equivalent to 45 atomic bombs over Hiroshima, Doc. Right. Now, it's interesting that you mentioned Ramstein earlier because this article from Ria Novosti mentions Ramstein as well. It says, it's noted that the time of the missile's approach from Kaspudim Yar test site to the headquarters of NATO in Brussels will be 17 minutes. Ramstein Air Base in Germany, it'll get there in 15 minutes. And the missile defense base in the United States in Polish Rydzykoło, just 11 minutes. Now, think what you can do in 17 minutes.

How far can you get away in 17 minutes from your current position right now? Let's say by some miracle you were given some warning that a missile has launched and you have 17 minutes to do something about it. What would you do? And the blast is going to be 45 times greater than Hiroshima. Right. So what's the radius? Well, much greater than Hiroshima. How many miles can you drive in 17 minutes?

Assuming that you get in your car immediately and you've got now 16 and a half minutes. And Hiroshima killed 100,000 people instantly and 150,000 people within the first week. So start doing some math real quick there. So whether it's Ramstein, whether it's NATO headquarters, whether it's the Polish base, or if it's Fort Liberty here in the U.S., start doing some atomic calculus here real quick, and you'll realize that Russia can really put a herd on us really quick. And yet we're just saying he's the big bad wolf. I'll remind you, in the story of the three little pigs, two of the houses got blown down before the big bad wolf got taken down how much are we willing to risk to let the big bad wolf blow down houses you know it's like why are we making the why are we making the wolf angry yeah why are we doing it

why are we taunting a bear who in their right mind taunts a grizzly bear nobody doc nobody does that in their right mind unless they they are convinced they can kill the grizzly bear and take the bear's cave because that's what this is about this is a calculated strategy that the U.S. and NATO can defeat Russia in a nuclear war. So what if most of the American people die? So what if most of the Europeans die? So what? The rulers of America are going to rule

afterwards. They don't need you. They got robots. They don't need you. They're going to have robots to do their work. They think like this, Doc. They're going to have robots to do their work. They think like this, Doc. They're demented. They don't care about you.

What they want are the natural resources of Russia. They want to move on and take out China. Then they have the entire world. Then they can have a 1,000-year Reich. These are the Nazis. Doc, these are the Nazis. Oh, I don't disagree with you. They're establishing their 1,000-year Reich.

This next one is from NDTV New Delhi Television. NATO vows Ukraine backing after Russian missile intimidation. Yes, it says in this article that NATO has pledged support for Ukraine at talks in Brussels Tuesday after Russia's attempt, it says, to intimidate Kiev's backers by firing an experimental hypersonic intermediate-range missile last week. It's quoted in the article as saying, during the meeting, NATO allies reaffirmed their support for Ukraine, the alliance said in a statement after the talks. The attack, which targeted Donopro,

is seen as another attempt by Russia to terrorize the civilian population in Ukraine and intimidate those who support Ukraine as it defends itself against Russia's illegal and unprovoked aggression. In other words, they're doubling down, Rick. They're just going to go ahead and back the losing side. We're the losing side in this. The whole world is going to be losing, Doc. There's no

winner in a nuclear war. There's just no winner. The entire, all humanity loses. PBS, Pentagon holds briefing after Russia barrages Ukraine in drone attack.

So this is Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder. And we've got three video clips to see what he said at this press conference. Let's watch the first one. Yeah, on attackams, as the White House highlighted yesterday, there has been a shift in policy and that the Ukrainians may employ attack in defense of their nation focused right now, of course, on the Kursk region. I'll let the Ukrainians speak to their operations in terms of their targeting and their operations. I just won't get ahead of them on that. There's been a change in policy.

Yeah. And remind our audience, Kursk is Russia. It's not a province of Ukraine or anything like that. It's Russian territory. It's as Russian as Texas is American. That's right. So you have a general, Pat Ryder, saying, yeah, we've made a change in the policy. We told Zelensky, you can now use our missiles to attack Russia. Just incredible.

Why do you think Russia's not going to attack the United States? You're living in a fairyland if you think they're not going to attack us. Right. Imagine if, from the Kremlin, a spokesperson for their defense system, their military comes out and says, you know, those missiles that we have in Mexico, it's okay to hit Texas. Or those missiles that we have in Ontario, Canada, it's okay to hit Pennsylvania and Ohio with them. Because that's the same distance. It is.

It's the very same distance. And we would respond. bond. Now, over the past several days, we've talked about drones that have been seen over bases in the UK, U.S. bases in the UK. Pat Ryder was asked about these incidents over the past several days. This was his response to that. General Ryder, there's been a number of incidents in England with drones targeting U.S. bases, kind of swarming U.S. bases, challenging security. Do you believe they have hostile intent? Do you believe they were sent by a foreign adversary? What is happening? What can you tell us about these drones? What I would tell you, Jennifer, is that they are being actively monitored. Installation leaders have

determined so far that none of these incursions impact the base residents, the facilities, or the assets that we have on those bases. We're, of course, continuing to work with host nation authorities and our mission partners to ensure the safety of our personnel, our facilities, and the equipment. You know, the bottom line is it's something that we're going to take seriously. We're continuing to look into it, but as of right now has not had any significant mission impact. Why not shoot them down? Well, I won't get into force protection measures. We, of course, always maintain the right to defend ourselves if we deem something to be a threat. But again, we'll continue to work with the local host nation

authorities there. Do you think it's linked to the drones that were sighted three or four different locations back in December of last year that we reported on recently? Yeah, I don't want to speculate and draw unnecessary connections. You know, again, this is something that we'll look into. As you know, small UASs, drones, have become something that's, you know looking closely at in terms of how it applies to our facilities, our personnel, whether it's in combat zones or outside of combat zones. But in terms of these particular incidents in the U.K. versus the ones in the States, you know, again, I don't want to speculate that there's any connection. It don't appear to be those of hobbyists. Is that correct? Again, it would be, you know be premature to draw any conclusions. We've

got to see what these are. I mean, it's entirely possible that it could be hobbyist or something else. We just got to look into it. When I first heard this, my jaw dropped. Why not just bring them down and look at it, see if that's a model, a toy, or whether it's a spy unit or a weapon? Right. I guarantee you that if a drone flew over a Russian military base, they'd take it down. If a drone flew over a Chinese military base, they'd take it down. What mental disconnect is there? I'll tell you what I want as an American citizen.

If you've got a drone flying over a military base, I want that thing out. I want it taken down. I don't care if you bought it at Best Buy. I want it down. There's no reason. Because I'll tell you, I can show you some deer hunters that would take it down. Right. It was the most innocuous response.

A duck hunter. A duck hunter. Just tell him, hey, it's a duck. All right? They'll blow it out of the sky. But his response was like, it's no big deal. Who knows? It might be something they bought off Amazon, and they're just flying around out there.

They're not. Doc, these guys can't be that dumb. They're not that dumb. What is the reason? What's the rationale? Are they afraid they have weapons, explosives in them?

Well, based on his response, no. They're not afraid of them at all. And they haven't been afraid of them. By the way, did you notice at the beginning, I see this often in press conferences, the reporter asked her a question. If you noticed just before she asked the question, he turned a page. Yes. He turned a page in his notebook.

Right. That means she was pre-selected as a, and her question had been pre-approved. And he had the answer in his notebook. Just to let you know the way the game is played. Okay. Here's the next one with General Pat Ryder. All right. Yes, ma'am.

Thank you. Thank you, General. I have a couple of questions about Russia, Ukraine, and North Korea. According to the Ukraine Defense Intelligence, North Korea has provided Russia with KN-23, KN-24, and about 100 short-range ballistic missiles. And Russia is expanding its ballistic missile manufacturing plant in North Korea. North Korea and Russia are providing full-scale weapons and technical support. What are you concerned about?

Well, Jeannie, I mean, we've talked about this in the past. We're, of course, concerned about the developing relationship between North Korea and Russia, as evidenced by the fact that they've deployed upwards of 12,000 troops into Russia to support their invasion of Ukraine. And so it's something that we're going to continue to take seriously, keep an eye on, and work closely with our regional partners to address those threats. Russian criminal one that the South Korea is being used by the United States and the West, and that South Korea will be targeted as an accomplice with the West, which will lead to very bad result. It also said that if South Korea provide additional weapons to Ukraine, the war will be prolonged. How do you assess this?

How do I assess North Korea's claims that the war would be prolonged? I mean, the criminal Russia said that. I think Russia obviously invaded Ukraine. It's a little bit of gaslighting there. They could end this war today by withdrawing their troops from Ukrainian territory and restoring peace and stability to the region. And the U.S. could end it by withdrawing the attackums. That's right. It works both ways here. Well, what's the U.S. doing? Well, here's the sun in Great Britain. Stratofortress bombers from the U.K UK buzz Russia and show force as NATO chief warns Europe to brace for total war with Putin.

Those Stratoforces, they belong to the United States. Two U.S. Stratoforces. Those aren't Stratoforces there. Not on the screen there. Somebody there at the newspaper doesn't know what a Stratoforce looks like. So the Stratoforce bombers have carried out a mission flying near Russian airspace in a powerful shore force to Moscow. Both sides do this, of course. The move comes after a senior NATO chief warned that Europe must prepare for what he called total war with Vladimir Putin as nations are stepping up both military and civilian defenses

amid rising tensions. Now, on Monday of this week, two U.S. Air Force B-52 bombers, codenamed Pharaoh Flight, headed northeast over the North Sea before entering northern Europe. Now, radar data showed that the aircraft departed from RAF Fairford in the U.K., flying over the Baltic and nearing Russian territory near Kaliningrad. One of the planes, identified by Hans Christensen of the Federation of American Scientists, flying over the Baltic and nearing Russian territory near Kaliningrad. One of the planes, identified by Hans Christensen of the Federation of American Scientists, said they were B-52-60024s crossing into Finnish airspace. Both bombers are conventional-only models, underscoring NATO's focus. I love the propaganda here.

Underscoring NATO's focus on strategic deterrence without nuclear escalation. They actually seriously wrote that line. Yes. And this next article was seriously written also, Doc. This is a New York Post. It's an editorial. New York Post, owned by Rupert Murdoch, who owns Fox News. Team Trump must not buy Putin's nuke threats.

We're not on the verge of World War III. Seriously. Yeah, don't worry about it, folks. It's all a bluff. We're not on the edge of World War III at all. That's what the writers say. Of course, the writers don't believe it, but they're paid to write it.

They want readers of the New York Post to calm down and not think about World War III. Don't believe it. He's just bluffing. Stop all this talk about World War III, and we hope that the Trump cabinet

doesn't buy into this stuff. We need Trump to attack. That's what they're doing now. They're driving Donald Trump to attacking Russia. Let's take a look regarding Asia. Ukrainian envoy keeps mum over possible requests for South Korean weapon aid. Right. The press conference with Pat Ryder kind of touched on this a little bit. Ukraine's defense minister, Rustam Yumarov, kept mum on whether he'd requested weapons aid from South Korea as he led a special delegation for talks with President Yoon on Wednesday. Yumarov arrived at Seoul's defense ministry late Wednesday for talks with his South Korean counterpart, Kim Jong-un, and he did not respond to a question by Yonhap about whether he

discussed the matter during his meeting with President Yoon. Now, the presidential office said in a release that the delegation led by Yumarov met President Yoon to share intelligence on North Korean troops deployed to Russia and expressed hopes for deepening future cooperation with South Korea, it added. So the NATO affiliate in the Asia-Pacific, which is South Korea, is getting deeper and deeper in bed with Ukraine as this conflict continues to escalate on the verge of nuclear annihilation. What is in the best interest of the people of South Korea to get involved in a European

war? None. I can tell you that. There is no interest at all. You already have somebody just across the border in Pyongyang who wants to have a war with you. I mean, the only thing that comes to mind is that we are making so much money, creating military weapons and everything to sell to Europe. We can't afford to lose this relationship.

That's the only thing that even comes close to help me understand. So they're just expanding the market. Yes. Because Ukraine's not buying this stuff So they're just expanding the market. Yes. Because Ukraine's not buying this stuff. They don't have any money. Right. Yeah. Okay, so where's the money coming from?

It's coming from us. It's coming out of my back pocket. Yes. Okay? It's coming from the taxpayers of Europe and the United States. I need to make a break here for Gold Co. Folks, this is my personal opinion. Things are going to go squirrelly here very soon.

I can't see any way we get out of this without some extremely disruptive events happening very soon. There's always a possibility that American leaders snap out of it. They come to their senses. They come back into their right mind. What's their track record on that, though? Zero. That's right.

That's what I'm saying. There's the possibility, Doc. But the probability is zero. It's just not going to happen. It could. Theoretically, it could. Anything can happen. But the probability outweighs the possibility.

Right. Because the track record is they want war. And so with that in mind, I've come to the foregone conclusion we're going to have a nuclear disaster very soon, somewhere in the world, very, very soon, possibly before this week is out. And I can't imagine that Putin's going to hit a NATO military base with a non-nuclear weapon. I just don't see it happening, Doc. I mean,

that's like taking a knife and stabbing Rambo. You just make him mad. What are you going to get out of that? You just make him mad. You make him mad. Okay.

So I can't see that he's going to use a conventional weapon. He's going to use a nuke or maybe a super weapon. But we don't know what he's got. They could use a weapon from space. That's right. We still can't rule out that they don't take out satellites. They may have laser satellites, laser beams. I mean, what if they fry a military base with lasers from space?

Would that terrify the human population? You're telling me a laser beam came down out of the sky and fried everybody? We've never seen anything like that, Doc. Is that the super weapon? They're going to do something that's going to terrify the world, okay? And the reason, so where I'm going with this is each one of us need to take immediate steps to get ready. Each of us are in different stages of preparation. Last night, I was buying things. How fast can I get it in?

Where am I low? What am I low on that I would really wish I had if the supply chain is disrupted for a year. It doesn't mean we get blown up here. It doesn't mean that we're irradiated. It just means the supply chain has been disrupted for a year. What do I need? What am I lacking right now? And so I was going down that survival list last night, buying things as I could.

It's like, I've got to get something. Fill in the gaps. Where are you financially? Do you need to move money? Do you need to move assets right away? And what is the most secure thing you can put your wealth into right now? Particularly your retirement funds. And so, for me, it's precious metals.

Metals don't go away. You know, gold has been here since the day of Adam. It's the first thing God showed Adam. Hey, boy, come down here. I'm going to take you down to the river. I'm going to show you some gold. It's not just gold. It's good gold.

That's in the Bible, folks. That's God talking. That's God talking. He called it good gold. Took him down to the river and showed it to him. That's always impressed me. He said, hey, you think all this is something. Here, I'll show you something. Here's why, Adam. I'm going to make a woman for you.

Now, this story is going to lead into some some more stories okay uh so japan's unwavering support the south china morning post hong kong japan's unwavering support for ukraine is being tested as north korea deepens its military alliance with russia raising questions about whether tokyo will start am i reading this right whether Whether Japan will start supplying weapons to Ukraine?

Is that what I'm reading? Yes. Japan? Yes. What does Japan get out of this? Well, we'll talk about that. They get a seat in World War III. Yes.

During an unannounced visit to Ukraine last week, Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaiya met his Ukrainian counterpart to discuss the thousands of North Korean troops deployed to Russia. So Iwaya expressed grave concern over the growing military ties between Pyongyang and Moscow, touched on the need for fresh sanctions, and reassured Ukraine of Japan's continued strong support. Perhaps the most concrete outcome of the visit was an agreement to begin exchanging, listen to this Rick,ified security information and launch a high-level dialogue between their foreign and defense officials aimed at enhancing defense coordination. So just like South Korea, Japan is now an extension of Europe. The United States is actively recruiting other nations. They're now over in the Pacific region. They're going to American allies in the Pacific,

saying you've got to get involved in the Ukraine war. And these leaders are going, that's a great idea. We're living here in peace. What we need is war. Right. Okay, so in World War II, Japan and Germany were allies against the United States, Europe, Russia, and China. But now, in World War III, Japan and Germany are allies with the United States. Against Russia. Russia against Russia and China.

Right. It's very bizarre. So you have this story out of Reuters today. Now, this is Maria Zakharova there. Russia says it will respond if U.S. places missiles in Japan. Missiles in Japan? Where'd this come out of? Well, Russia said on Wednesday that if the U.S. stationed missiles in Japan, if, this would threaten Russian security and prompt Moscow to retaliate.

Japan's Kyoto News Agency reported Sunday that Japan and the U.S. aim to compile a joint military plan for possible, what they're calling a Taiwan emergency plan that includes deploying missiles. It cited unnamed U.S. and Japanese sources as saying that under the plan, the U.S. would deploy missile units to the Nansai Islands of Japan's southwestern Kagoshima and Okinawa prefectures and also to the Philippines. And then you have this story from Kyoto News. This is from Japan. The U.S. to deploy missile units to Japan islands in Taiwan contingency.

And it goes through and explains all the details about this current plan to put intermediate range missiles in Japan and the Philippines. Okay. Now, this has got the ire of the Russians. Now, remind our audience. Well, to get China's attention, too. And remind our audience, technically, technically, Russia, former Soviet Union, Russia and Japan are still technically at war. They never signed a peace treaty at the end of World War II. That's true. And I've told this story before.

Doc and I were in St. Petersburg, Russia. What was that, 2017, 18? Yeah, I'm not sure what year. It kind of blended together there. Yeah, we attended the SPIF economic forums, kind of the Russian version of Davos. Right. And we were there. Okay, so with our own eyeballs and our own ears, we saw and heard an exchange.

We saw and heard an exchange between Vladimir Putin and Shinzo Abe, who is now dead. He was assassinated by a Mooney. We don't, people don't talk about that. That was a Mooney. The assassin was a Mooney church member, okay? Putin turned to Shinzo Abe and offered to sign a peace treaty. Right there. Right there to end World War II.

I didn't know that World War II was still going on. I still remember sitting there with you, and we both turned to each other, what, did we miss something here? And as we, I had to go online and start looking around and everything. I was like, holy cow, they're still at war. It was the first time I ever heard that Japan and Russia were still technically at war from World War II. And I remember we're sitting there saying, Putin turned to Emmanuel Macron of France and said, let Russia be your security protection.

In other words, get out of NATO. We will sign a treaty with France and we will protect you. And Macron was speechless. Absolutely speechless. We witnessed both of those things. Yes. Putin was reaching out saying, we don't want to fight. We'll sign peace treaties.

But that wasn't on the plan with the other guys. They know there's a war coming. Right. But Putin was trying to wrap up World War II. Now, my day started off by looking at this tweet this morning. Or what do you call it on X anymore? I don't know if it's a tweet or an X or whatever it is. But this is coming from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

Okay, so this is official. This is an official word. This is their State Department. It's their State Department. Right. Maria Zakharova, we have repeatedly warned Tokyo that not the firing, not the use of missiles in Japan, but the deployment of U.S. intermediate range missiles in Japan would be considered a security threat. Russia would have to take all necessary steps to enhance its defense capabilities.

Rick, this war is going to go global. This is a world war. Japan is in it now. I mean, a few minutes ago we were saying, what does South Korea get out of this? Why are they getting in it? And now, a couple minutes later, we're saying, well, what's Japan doing in it? Right. Who else is getting in this war?

I mean, that's what— I think everybody's getting in this war. I think everybody's getting in this war. The whole world gets involved in this thing. I'm not going to go through the entire article. This is number 13. This is the article that the other article was referencing, U.S. to deploy missile units to Japan islands. Well, and then we have number 15 for control, too, if you've got that one as well. This is from the South China Morning Post here.

The headline says, Philippines to host advanced U.S. missile unit. But in the very first line of the article, it says that the U.S. is planning to deploy advanced missiles to Japan and the Philippines. And so that's the first mention of actual deployment of intermediate-range missiles in Japan. We already have intermediate-range missiles in the Philippines. And the South China Morning Post says the U.S. Marine Corps is equipping Japan with HIMARS. Yes. Well, the Russians already know what HIMARS can do. Because Zelensky is using American-made HIMARS against the Russians already know what Heimers can do because Zelensky is using American-made Heimers.

Right. And it has been now for over a year. So if you have children, grandchildren, depending on their ages, most likely they're going to be caught up in this fighting. They're going to be on battlefields. I think it looks, Doc, it looks to me like we're going to have a short burst of nuclear activity in late 2024, maybe early 2025. We're going to have a short burst of nuclear activity. The reason I'm saying a short burst is I'm simply going by my week of prayer in Myrtle Beach, you have my notes. I gave you my notes. I came home and I gave my team leaders the notes I wrote down.

Every day I wrote notes of what I've sensed the Holy Spirit was saying to me. I didn't hear audible voices. I just would pray and ask questions. I'd hear in my spirit, in my mind, I'd hear Bible verses, thoughts, and I would just write it down. But there was a theme.

Every day had a theme. And the very first day, which was a Sunday, the theme was war. All right. And so I knew, this is going to be a pretty heavy week. But as that week went by, the Lord was giving me instructions for ministry in the future.

So, Doc, that's why I don't believe we're at that this full world war is going to happen this month, next month. But I do think, and I did say when I came back, I'm not ruling out that we're going to have some very frightening episodes, that we're going to think this is it. This is the war. This is the big one. I think that's happening a lot faster than what I was hoping. We're about to experience it here very soon. We're going to see a short exchange of nuclear weapons. And then the big weapons come out after that. Yes. But the big war, I still believe, is in the early 2030s. I hope I'm right.

I hope I'm right. But I'm going back to what I'm saying. If that's true, if the big war is in the 2030s, those of you who have children and grandchildren who will be 18 years old and older in 2030, there's a high probability they're going to be on a battlefield. And you need to think about that. And how many people died?

How many Americans died? How many were wounded in World War II? I forget the numbers. But multiply this out, say, 100 times. We have no idea, no comprehension of what we're going into. I do know this. On the first day in Myrtle Beach, one of the scriptures the Lord gave me from the Old Testament was the prophet. I want to say this was Ezekiel telling the Israelites, eat your food with trembling hands.

Okay? Oh, yeah. In other words, you're down to the last morsels of food. You'll put the food supply in America is disrupted for six months to a year starting like this month next month how long can you go without food

if you stretched out at what point would you be eating with trembling hands you want to put a guess on that, Doc, for yourself? When do you start having trembling hands? When do you start saying, I'm down to the last several meals? When do you look at me and say, there's no food left after this. This is it.

Right. And I'm prepared. Okay. But think about when the preparedness runs out. When the preparedness runs out. Okay. That's when faith comes in. That scripture reference, by the way, is Ezekiel 12, 18.

It says, Son of man, eat your bread with quaking and drink your water with trembling and with anxiety. That was the word of the Lord speaking to Ezekiel. And that's the word the Lord gave me on the first day in Myrtle Beach on Sunday. That's how the people. You know, it goes on to say there, and say to the people of the land, thus says the Lord God concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in Israel, they shall eat their bread with carefulness and drink their bread with carefulness and drink their water with astonishment

because their land shall be desolate from all that is in it because of the violence of all those who dwell in it. The cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste and the land shall be desolate. Then you shall know I am the Lord.

They didn't know he was the Lord until... And so they were starving. Right. Did he make them starve? No, they made themselves starve. He wanted them to know who he was before the disaster came. They brought the disaster upon themselves. Right.

Then they said, oh, you're the Lord. You're the maker. You're the one that can give us food. Yeah, I am. So that's what humans do. That's the pattern, the cycles. We repeat it over and over and over. And we are in a war cycle right now.

You know, don't. Tomorrow's Thanksgiving here in America we have a lot to be thankful for and right now we ought to be thankful that we made it through another day and when you gather your family together tomorrow

talk to your family together tomorrow. Talk to your family. Use Thanksgiving not to preach bad news to them, but to bring about a sobering and just say to your loved ones, folks, hey, if you're not following what's going on, it's not good out there right now. This might be our last Thanksgiving for a long time. You know, get the focus on Jesus Christ.

And get people aware that life is short. And it could all change in a matter of minutes. Literally minutes, Doc. So, my prayer is with you. We will not be here tomorrow or Friday. These are dogs that have lost their legs. Look at this. They're going out for... Dogs in wheelchairs. Yes. Dogs in wheelchairs. They're all going out for a little spin around the park. And they're just as happy as they can be without their legs.

There they go. Now, whoever this woman is who takes care of these dogs, she's quite a saint. Look at this. That brings a tear to your eye just watching this. I mean, not the suffering, but the joy that they have. They're happy. They're happy. They're happy. They're running. They're doing what dogs do. You go, man, I got wheels. I'm going. And with such joy, with such abandon, Rick. Yes. So they don't let their handicap, they don't let their loss steal their joy.

Right. They're happy doing what dogs love to do, and that is to run. Okay. So just think about the good things in life. Okay? We've got plenty of bad stuff. Let's refocus our minds. This war will be over.

There will be a day the war is over. There was a day World War II was over. And life returned to normal. All right? So this World War III will end one day. And humanity will start rebuilding. But we're on our way to the final war.

We're on our way to the final war. And when Christ comes back and wouldn't it be great if this is the final war? Wouldn't it be great that we are actually at the end of time? This is it. I can't even comprehend it. What if? What if this is it? There will be a day when it will be it.

It will be it. That's what our audience needs to understand be a day when it will be it. It will be it. That's what our audience needs to understand. One day there will be an it that ends. Yes. And Christ returns in glory. And every eye, every eye shall see him. That's right. That's right.

So if you're in morning manna, we've been talking, we're studying the crucifixion right now. And it was either yesterday or today, Doc and I were talking about how right there during the crucifixion, multiple prophecies were fulfilled. Multiple. And what we were talking about is, you know, the general public was not aware that all these prophecies were being fulfilled, but they happened rapid fire.

It was one, two, three, four. You know, within nine hours, numerous prophecies were fulfilled. If you're thinking it's going to take a hundred years for all these prophecies to be fulfilled, no, it can be done in nine hours. It can be done in nine seconds. In nine seconds. The Lord so generous. Because he doesn't have a clock.

That's right. He doesn't have a clock. That's right. He doesn't wear a Rolex. So it is possible that this war that we're in right now is the last war of the human race. And Christ comes back. Hallelujah. I hope it's true. We'll see you on Monday. God bless.

In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Well, today's passage, we're still in Matthew chapter 27, and we'll be picking up today verses 39 through 44. So while you're turning there, we just want to say thank you to just a handful of the countries that are represented here, the UK, Russia, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, and many more that check in with us live at a.m. Eastern time here on the East Coast of the U.S. for this Bible study. Picking back up today in verse 39, and it says,

And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads and saying, Thou that destroyest the temple and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the son of God, come down from the cross. Likewise, also the chief priest mocking him with the scribes and elders said, he saved others, himself he cannot save. If he be the king of Israel, let him now come down from the cross and we will believe him. He trusted in God, let him deliver him now, if he will have him, for he said, I am the son of God the thieves also which were crucified with him cast the same in his teeth

God bless the reading of his word verse 39 and they that passed by reviled him wagging their heads what we see here is universal rejection universal mockery.

The passersby, the people traveling down the road. Think about it. You're going down a road and you know when you get to this particular spot at Golgotha, there's probably going to be some criminals hanging on crosses you know maybe moms tell their children hey don't look look the other way it's not a good scene so you get people passing by you have you have the Roman soldiers you have the Jewish leaders the chief priest the scribes, the elders

and you have the other thieves on the cross and in one accord all of them are mocking Jesus even the criminals All of them are mocking Jesus. Even the criminals. So there are some differences in the gospel accounts.

Matthew and Mark focus on the universal scorn, the mocking of all by all. Luke focuses on the redemptive interaction between Jesus and the one thief. John omits the actions of the passerby's and focuses more on the theological implications of the crucifixion yes so as I said you know the crucifixions were staged near busy roads for the purpose of maximum public exposure. They wanted the public to see what happens to lawbreakers. And this only increased the shame of the condemned. They weren't executed in private. They were executed in public,

naked. So there's Golgotha's proximity to a major road ensured that there was a steady stream of people who would witness the crucifixion and

that's actually important because there were a lot of people who saw Jesus on the cross they they they were witnesses for many years I saw him I I saw Jesus on the cross I know they nailed him to the cross so the people passing by joined in with verbal abuse I mean as a walking by or they're riding in a cart and they're shouting, they're mocking the son of God. They don't know he's the son of God. They don't recognize him as the son of God. But most of the people knew he was a good man.

And they're mocking him now. Oh, yeah, you told us you were the son of God. You told us you were the Messiah. You don't look like a Messiah to to me and don't forget and don't forget rick this was passover that big event everybody was coming to jerusalem they're all coming to the city and so this was that road was full yes that's a good point the road was full heavy traffic on that road um imagine we're at a holiday we're we're on a big holiday thanksgiving holiday today is supposed to be one of the biggest travel days of the year uh here in the u.s either by car or by plane imagine you're driving down interstate 95 you're going down through virginia let's say and alongside the road there while you're driving by you see a hanging

you know just someone hanging from a billboard or something like that. But it was done by the government because they wanted everybody driving along I-95 to see the dead body that was on display. This is exactly the same thing. It was government-sanctioned execution, but public for everyone to see as they're going by. For this holiday weekend, here's a crucifixion for you,

just to remind you of reality. Yes. So the people were wagging their heads. Wagging. Oh, look at him. You know, they're shaking their head back. Oh my, look at him. Oh, look at that thief up there look

at that revolutionary wagging your head is is a way it's a it's a body gesture it says you're your scum I I have nothing but contempt for you. It's a gesture of derision, scorn, mockery, rejection, disdain. You know, wave your hand, shake your head, ah, Jesus. That's what people were doing as they went by. They're traveling by, they're looking up ah Jesus forget him

but the reviling actually fulfilled messianic prophecies Psalm 22 verses 7 and 8 all they that see me laugh me to scorn they shoot out the lip they shake the head saying he trusted on the lord that he would deliver him let him deliver him seeing he delighteth in him isn't that almost word for word what the people were saying? Yes.

That's Psalm 22. Go back and look at what we just read. Okay, well, we're going to read here in just a moment. Because in verse 40, they say, If thou be the Son of God, come down. The priest said, he saved others. He can't save himself. If he's the king of Israel, come down from the cross.

Then we'll believe him. The religious leader said, he trusted in God. Let God deliver him now. By the way, they wouldn't believe him even if he does didn't come down from the cross you're right doc but if when you listen to those words and then look at Psalm 22 verses 7 to 8 they shook their head they're wagging their heads. They reviled him. They said he trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him. Let him deliver him. And there's actually a prophetic overtone with Lations to verse 15 which was spoken about the destruction of

jerusalem not 70 a.d but a previous destruction of jerusalem all that pass by clap their hands at thee they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth? Did you want to say something? No, no, I was just looking at that passage. I never had caught that before. They wag their head. The people went by Jerusalem. Jerusalem had been been destroyed it was in the old testament the city had been destroyed and as the people passed by they looked at it shook their head and said that's the city people call the perfection of beauty they hissed they wagged their heads uh psalm 109 verse 25 i became

also a reproach unto them when they looked upon me they shook their heads and you know yesterday we we cited Isaiah 53, 4. Surely he hath borne our griefs, carried our sorrows, yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. I mentioned at the start of the class, this was universal scorn and mockery. Everybody, it's a collective rejection of God, of God's son. And they're rejecting God's plan for their redemption. Yes. They're scorning the Messiah that God sent to save them.

And the whole crowd did it. The people passing by on the road, the Roman soldiers, the religious leaders, the thieves, the robbers on the cross. So the crowd was booing him. You're a failed, you're a false messiah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're a messiah, Shemaiah, whatever. You're a failed messiah. You're a failed Messiah. You're a blasphemer.

You deserve, just like Ben Shapiro, you deserve what you're getting. A failed revolutionary. The Romans are doing the right thing, killing you. Just think about what they said to him. Jesus is hearing all this. Have you ever been taunted? When's the last time you've been taunted?

Especially mocked, taunted, ridiculed for trusting God. See, a lot of church-going people will not taunt you, ridicule you, mock you for saying you believe in God, you believe in Jesus. They won't do that. They'll taunt you when you believe his word. Yes. That's when the taunting tongues come out. There's a book, Taunting Tongues.

That's when those tongues come out. When you take a stand and you're standing on the promises of God, that's when they'll start taunting you. The people in the churches. Yes. They won't taunt you for saying you believe in Jesus. They'll taunt you for saying you believe his words. so these taunts for Jesus to

save himself and we're going to get into this moment but I want to go ahead and touch on this there's a parallel to Satan's temptation of Christ in the wilderness. The Jewish rulers accused Jesus of blasphemy for claiming divine authority.

But the passers-by themselves engaged in true blasphemy. They were the blasphemers they were mocking the true Son of God think of it Jesus is accused of blasphemy and yet the real blasphemers were the ones who were accusing him and they had that one backwards yes but i mentioned the wilderness so just as satan tempted jesus to prove his divine authority through miraculous displays remember all the way back, Matthew 4. How long ago has it been since we studied Matthew 4? That must have been around late winter, early spring.

The mockers then, all right, Satan challenged Jesus, prove who you say you are by doing something miraculous. And now the mockers are challenging him, prove who you are by doing something miraculous. Come down off that cross. Then we'll believe you. See, it's Satan speaking through their mouths. That's right. It's still Satan. It's Satan who's doing the mocking.

If you're being mocked by somebody for believing God, that person is speaking under the inspiration of Satan. Doesn't mean that he or she is demon possessed, but they are open to satanic influences and readily available to Satan to speak his words. Because they've not brought their tongue in submission to the Holy Spirit. Satan still controls their tongue.

Even though they say they believe in God, they believe in Jesus, they go to church, when it comes to making fun of somebody for believing God, their tongue belongs to Satan. The tongue is a fire. And a weapon. It's a knife. It's a sword. It cuts. There are people that know how to use their tongue as a knife like a gang member knows how to cut somebody up on the street. And they're serial slashers.

There are people who claim to be Christian who are serial slashers. They jump out of the bushes and they stab somebody, another Christian, and then they run back and hide. Hide bushes, yes. Yeah. Or they wipe the blood off their knife and shout, there's a stabbing, there's a stabbing, help this man. People are mean with their tongues. Name callers.

You know, mockers. The mockery speaks of mankind's spiritual blindness. The Son of God was hanging on a cross, dying for their sins, and they couldn't see it. They were spiritually blind. humans reject divine truth even when it's starkly evident yes think of all the people who were there that day physically with their eyes witnessed the crucifixion of j Christ and never, ever changed. Went to their graves a sinner. Walked right by the cross.

Made fun of him. With the Savior on the cross. It wasn't an empty cross. It had him on it. The blood was dripping down the cross. And they still, it didn't change them. That's how hard-hearted people are.

That's how rebellious people are. And you know, the irony of it, Rick, is that here it was, it was Passover. Passover, they had a sacrificial lamb for the temple. And everybody's there, well, let's get to

Passover. Let's get to Jerusalem. Let's celebrate Passover there so we can honor the Passover lamb where the angel of death passed over us. So God showed his mercy on us when he saw the blood. And yet they

walked by the blood of the innocent man and reviled it yes because it didn't fit the current popular narratives about what the messiah would look like oh they had they had they had been listening to preachers their rabbis for years telling them this is what when the messiah comes this is what he's going to look like this is how he's going to behave this is how you're going to know he's the messiah and so they listen to lies yes they listen to lies about the truth because it's easier to believe the lie than the truth

doc they listen to lies about the truth that's another that's at another level when you listen to lies about the truth there is the truth lies about the truth. There is the truth. He is the truth. I'd rather believe the lie.

So this is widespread universal rejection. There wasn't anybody there on Jesus' side. Maybe some disciples in the far distance. We know that Mary was there at a distance. Nobody wanted to get up close. There are lessons in this for us. Jesus' silent endurance of the mockery. What's it teach us?

Humility, patience, trust in God's plan, trust in God's ultimate justice Jesus was silent in the face of mockery he did not open his mouth said Isaiah it is a different it's a difficult lesson to learn when people are mocking you because it's it you. You want to strike out and go, hey, you want to argue with people who are mocking you. You want to defend your dignity. We have to learn from Jesus. He didn't defend his dignity.

He did it by fulfilling his mission and then raising himself from the dead. Yes. Have you, maybe there's somebody listening to me right now. You're suffering from a failed endeavor. A failed marriage, a failed business, a failed project, something, a failed career, something failed. And the people around you are mocking you. Relatives, friends, just passers-by that know very little about you. They're mocking you relatives friends this passers-by that know very little about you they're mocking you you you need to be quiet do not open your mouth to their mockery

you trust in God's plan for your life and you raise yourself from the dead just do what jesus did what do i mean well let's say you had a failed business okay don't listen to the mockers start another business let it raise up from the dead if your career failed start a new career let the holy spirit let the power the resurrection power of christ come into that new career give that new career to christ give that new career to Christ. Give that new business to Christ. Let the resurrection power be in that new business. Amen. Whatever it is that you failed at, let the new one have the resurrection power in it.

You don't have to say a word to the mockers. Let the Lord raise it up. That'll shut their mouths. So the mockery was intended as humiliation, but actually they were testifying to God's plan for salvation. And what appeared to be shame was transformed into ultimate victory of grace and love jesus just had to endure it the mocking probably hurt as much as the nails this reminds us of the cost of salvation, the price he paid.

Yes. Verse 40. And saying, thou that destroyeth the temple and build it in three days, save thyself, if thou be the Son of God. Come down from the cross. And that's really the ultimate revilement and taunt right there, isn't it, Rick? It is.

If thou be the Son of God. That was a challenge direct from hell itself, wasn't it? Yes. So the people did not say a son of God they said the son of God very specific

if you say you're a son of God come to know they said you are the son of God which clearly implies a messianic relationship so the accusation that Jesus claimed he would and remember this is the accusation they used at the fake sham trial I got the they got the the two lying witnesses to give false testimony that he would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days

that was a deliberate misinterpretation of his teaching yes even though he had the power, he had the power to destroy the physical temple and raise it in three days. He had that power, but he was referencing his body, and that's made clear in the Gospels. Okay, so this is what's so astounding to comprehend. The accusation they used to condemn him to death was, you know, twisting his words.

The accusation was, you're going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days. And yet, this death sentence they gave him fulfilled the very words he spoke. Yes. How else could the temple be destroyed and rebuilt in three days if they didn't nail him to the cross? Right. So they unknowingly, unwittingly participated in the fulfillment of the prophecy.

The very thing that they nailed him to the cross saying this is the reason you deserve to die. They didn't realize they were destroying the temple and he would rebuild it in three days. I mean that's you talk about 3D chess

God's playing this thing at another level Doc yes totally different level again we go back to the wilderness, Satan's temptations. If thou be the son of God. It echoes Satan's earlier temptations where Satan challenged Jesus to prove his sonship through miraculous acts, prove his identity, prove his sonship through miraculous acts

prove his identity prove his authority that's what Satan was saying in the wilderness Jesus if you are the son of God then jump off of this high peak turn this

turn these stones into bread if you are I'll believe in you jesus if you do it i'll believe in you i mean satan is speaking through the people he's there satan is there he's speaking through the people. He hasn't changed anything. He's still the same devil. And Jesus on the cross knew that was Satan speaking in him. He's heard that voice before. And so, again, when people are taunting you, ridiculing you, mocking you, instead of getting upset with them,

you have to tell yourself that is Satan speaking through them. I feel sorry for those people. They're open to influences of the devil. You just have to realize that's what they're doing. That's who's speaking. But Jesus refused to take the bait.

He remained steadfastly committed to obeying God's plan, God's will. He trusted the plan. He truly trusted the plan.

And so he didn't speak up. He wasn't going to change their minds anyhow. He wasn't going to come down off the cross because if he came down off the cross to satisfy them he would be disobeying his father so sometimes you just let the people make fun of you if that's what you have to do to obey your father let it happen let him make fun of. You have to be focused on obeying your father. If he gave you an assignment, if he told you something, you know, if you're sick and you're standing on a scripture for healing and people are telling you, you know, you keep doing that, you're going to die. That disease is going to get worse. You're going to die. Don't listen to them.

That's the devil. You stand on the word. They'll taunt you. But if you come down from your position on the word, you're on their level now. Jesus, look, Jesus, even though he's on a cross, he's above them. Yes. They wanted him to come down to their level.

Now, Jesus is the Messiah on the cross looking down at lost humanity. That's right. They look down on him, but they were looking up while they're doing it. That's right. That's right. That's right. So the demand for Jesus to come down from the cross contradicted the divine purpose of his crucifixion. His true power is revealed not in escaping death, but in conquering it. That's where he demonstrated his power.

He conquered death. They were saying, prove your power by escaping death. Jesus said, I'll prove my power by conquering death. Escaping death would have been for his own personal benefit. Conquering death was for your benefit. That's right. And the cross certainly wasn't a failure, was it? No.

Massive success. I mean, it's still working right now, Doc. It's still working. It hasn't stopped succeeding. It's still succeeding. The victory waves are still moving through the universe. Praise God. Thank God they are. And the blood has not lost its power

so the main thing we're seeing here is by staying on the cross by ignoring the taunts Jesus remain faithful to God's will he ignored the voices of humans and he listened to the voice of his father. When God's divine plan, listen to this, when God's divine plan for you requires suffering, Satan will tempt you to escape the pressure. None of us like to be in those situations where we're under pressure.

But sometimes you have to discern, is this event happening because Satan is attacking me and brought this about? Or has God divinely put me in this situation for his purposes, to glorify his son? And if that's the case, then I'm going to go through it. But Satan will say, hey, do this and you can get out of this. You can escape the pressure. Just do this.

But it's not God's plan you know dog many many many decades ago I remember the Lord I was just going through one battle after another as a young Christian and and I remember Lord telling one time he said Rick just just have the viewpoint that this is all on stage and you only need to read your lines because there are a lot of unsaved people watching you

so you just think about yourself being on a stage and an audience, a whole theater full of unsafe people watching you they want to see how this play ends but I've already written the play and all I need you to do is read your lines and when he explained it to me like that i say oh i can get through this read the line all i gotta do is quote the bible that's all he wanted me to do quote the bible yeah you go through the trying trials and tribulations you're quoting the word of god and guess what you pass the test. The trial ends.

The audience is amazed. Hey, the play is over. He won. We didn't think that was going to happen. I hope that analogy helps you. Your lines have already been written. Just read them. Read the script.

Read the script. Yeah. Be an actor. Yeah. Remember, hypocrites are actors who play a role whom they are not. We are to play who we are and who we are our sons and daughters of the Most High God and we believe his word he wrote the script and I'm going to read the script

verse 41 likewise also the chief priest mocking him with the scribes and elders said so now the chief priests and the scribes and elders they get their licks into and they can't resist man this is a field day

listen listen to the taunts And they can't resist. Man, this is a field day. Listen, listen to the taunts. And they're like, yeah, we got some things we want to say too. So these groups, the chief priest describes the elders. They represent the Sanhedrin. They represent Judaism. They represent the highest religious authority in Israel. Yes.

So, their presence signified the official rejection of Jesus by the Jewish people. There you go, Rick. They spoke for the people. And the involvement of the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders,

the involvement of them at the crucifixion underscores their active participation in the condemnation of jesus christ they were there they wanted to see him die pilate wasn't there to see him die but the jewish leaders were there they wanted to make sure they wanted with their own eyeballs they wanted to see him die. Pilate was probably back at the palace getting drunk to try to soothe his conscience.

But the Jews were there licking their lips. He's going to die. He's suffering. This is awesome. They actively participated in it and were cheering mocking the son of god and so you know as we've seen throughout the gospel according to saint matthew the sanhedrin had various factions the sadducees the pharisees the herodians the scribes the elders but now they're united they've come together for a common purpose the killing of the son of god they're finally getting rid of this pesty threat to their authority, their financial system, the temple

system. He's done. In a few more minutes, he's going to take his last breath. But we're going to have a great time mocking him before he takes that last breath. I mean, they were sick and sadistic. These are religious leaders cheering for the torture and death of a peaceful man. He just put aside the fact that he's the son of God. He's a peaceful man.

The only thing he ever did were good deeds and they're there to laugh at him to make sure he he dies yes sick and sadistic so they were there to take control again they had lost control they had lost control of Judaism there were thousands of Jews following Jesus

thinking he's the Messiah they had lost control they're now back in control they're feeling good. That's over. We can go back to our old wicked ways. So, you know, they feel they've been vindicated. They've gain control of Judaism. So the religious leaders who should have been at the highest level of morality and decency, stooped down to the lowest level of the crowd with taunts and scorn and name-calling.

They addressed Jesus directly. So, they were expected as religious leaders to uphold justice, mercy, and compassion. Yes. That's their main thing. They were to show the people justice, mercy, and compassion. And yet they're there cheering for the death of an innocent man. What it shows us is how institutional power can be corrupted. Yes. And it ultimately ends in that all yes institutions unless they die they end up

being that way examples our federal government right now I mean yes you know all organizational structures end in that unless they're broken at some point or taken down right so and people will oppose truth they will deny justice in favor of their own self-preservation there's no length at what people will go to to preserve their own power and wealth. Or preserve their institution. Yes. And we're seeing it right now in the United States. We have leaders publicly and behind the scenes who are willing to start a nuclear war in order to hold on to their power in the world yes and it's not

limited it's not limited to politics either even in the religious realm there's a major story right now that deals with this very issue of preserving the institution over the individuals that are involved in it. So. That's right. So outward appearances often mask inner corruption and hostility to God's truth. But again, while mocking Jesus, they unwittingly fulfilled the prophecies about the Messiah's suffering and rejection. That's right. They were reading their lines.

Doc, they read their lines. Literally, almost word for word, they read their lines. It's like if God had a stage director, floor director, an angel. Okay, we need the mockers to come in. They got to say, hey, Jesus, come down off the cross. Why? Because it was prophesied centuries earlier. Hey, this is what's going to happen in the play.

And then he moves those individuals off the stage and brings someone else on. All right, now you've got lines yes so the you know prophecies are kind of like uh previews of upcoming movies like trailers there you go trailer yeah it's a movie trailer what's that about i don't know i'm gonna have to wait till the movie comes out somebody's there should I mean these religious leaders should have said hey wait a minute that was in the trailer I know but I remember that line in the movie trailer they were realized hey wait a minute this this is the Son of God. I'm telling it for me, my simplistic mind and thinking, seeing this as a pre-scripted movie, I'm talking about life,

just seeing it as a pre-scripted movie, it helps you. If you're walking in God's plan he has he has a plan for you to act out and he's got lines for you to say he's got a starring role for you in your own life it's your own. Life is your own movie starring you. And he's got lines for you. He's got things for you to do. But it's all for the glory of his son. If you're not speaking lines and doing things that bring glory to his son. You're in the wrong movie. All movies are about his son. You know, I just. I think of Jesus, you know, if you, if you could be in heaven talking to him,

saying, you know, Jesus, I notice all the hymns are about you. And he smiles, yeah, they are, they're about me. With no pride, arrogance, or anything. Yeah, they're about me. Yeah. Yes, my father, my father adores me. He inspired all those hymns to be written about me. My father just does everything for me. I'm telling you, he does.

I want you to understand that, that the father adores his son. The father adores his son and he's delighted when you join in the adoration. Amen. You want to be on your father's good side? Adore his son.

Yes. Just adore his son. You'll be on his good side because that's what the father desires every day hey have i told you about my son have i bragged to you about my son yeah you start bragging about his son and you'll get the father's attention real fast hey you're talking about my boy yeah see it's about praise and worship isaiah saw him saw him high and lifted up isaiah saw jesus he said i saw him high and lifted up his Isaiah saw Jesus. He said, I saw him high and lifted up. His train filled the

temple. His robe, think about it. The train of his robe filled the temple. Okay. High and lifted up. If I be lifted up, I draw all men unto me unto me see it's about lifting up jesus uh for verse 42 he saved others himself he cannot save if he be the king of israel let him now come down from the cross and we will believe him no you won't no you won't you they would not have believed him they would have tried to capture him and put him on another cross so by saying he saved others, they actually testified to Jesus' miraculous works.

They're saying it right here. He saved others. See, this is meant to be mocking. He saved others. He can't save himself. But by saying he saved others, they are admitting he saved others he can't save himself but but but by saying he saved others they are admitting he saved others yes he healed others he raised the dead he caused arms and legs to grow he put eyeballs in the blind people he did all those and we're admitting it we admit he did it but this one miracle he can't do he can't save himself did they not realize that the they were testifying to his power yes

even in derision they're testifying his power you know why because they they did you they can't stop he's so great he's so great you know many many many years ago again as a young Christian you know I had to work I had to work through a lot of things sorry I know you do too I had to work through things as a believer and Christmas is always a very special time for me. I love Christmas. I know that there are people that get all bent out of shape and you shouldn't have Christmas. I don't hear it. Okay. Go be miserable by yourself. Okay. Bah humbug. I like Christmas, but I don't like the? Bah humbug. I like Christmas.

But I don't like the commercialization of Christmas. I like Christmas. You know why? Because it's about the birth of the Savior. I don't like the commercialization of Christmas. I don't like the paganization of Christmas. It doesn't mean Christmas is pagan pagan it means pagans have tried to infiltrate christmas but anyhow many decades ago i remember doc it was uh somewhere you know

christmas time december and i went into a store a department store and um you know it's kind of like a Kmart type of store and you know I'm just watching all the people grabbing stuff I mean they're just grabbing stuff because they got a check out they got to have something they got to go home with something Christmas is a couple days away they're just grabbing stuff and buying it stuff stuff and stuff and i i remember uh it saddened me and i i remember saying to the lord father they they don't know any they don't know what this is about they don't know what this is about. They don't know what Christmas is about. Look at them. Just look at them. And remember the Holy Spirit saying to me, son, don't be harsh on them. They're not saved. But my son's birth is so great, they can't help participating in it.

That's right. Birth is so great, they can't help participating in it. That's right. In their lost state, they are participating in the adoration of my son. Yes. And from that time on, I never got upset about people doing all their shopping and everything for Christmas because God showed me. It's sad. It's sad. They're not saved.

And yet they're recognizing the birth of the king. Right. And isn't it interesting that even to this day, the world stops for a day. Yes. The whole world. Even if you're not a Christian country, the world stops for a day, or at least slows down a little bit for a day. Doc, in World War I, the war, the world War stopped on Christmas. And the soldiers came out of their foxholes and gave gifts to the other side.

And shared a Christmas meal. That's historical fact. And sang hymns together. And sang hymns together. And sang hymns together on Christmas Day. That's the power of the name of Jesus. So all these people that say

it's wrong to celebrate Christmas. No. The world can't stop recognizing his birth. They do it the wrong way, but they can't stop it. At least they recognize the king was born. So verse 42, he saved others. He can't save himself.

If he be the king of Israel, let him come off the cross. Then we'll believe him. They ridiculed Jesus for not saving himself, unaware that he was saving them. It was like Jesus saying, hey, I'd love to come down off this cross, but right now I'm in the process of saving you. Trust me, I'll be off this cross soon enough. I have to save you. And that means I have to stay on this cross until I finish, until I say the words, it is finished. What was finished?

The plan of redemption. God's great plan was finished? The plan of redemption. God's great plan was finished. The Son of God was sacrificed on a cross for the sins of mankind. So, the Jewish rulers who were mocking Jesus not only targeted Jesus but they sought to discredit the faith of his disciples implying that they were naive for believing in somebody who was powerless

couldn't even save himself why would you believe in this man look at him he can't even save himself yes they used the title king of Israel. They used it sarcastically. They didn't like the fact that Pilate had put the sign on the cross, King of the Jews. But why were they sarcastic? Because of their false beliefs that the Messiah would be a military leader. He didn't fit their preconceived notion of the Messiah. And same thing's happening today with the Christian Zionists, the rapture crowd, who are missing so many signs of the second coming

because it doesn't conform to their doctrine of the rapture. Right. They too want a military Messiah too. They want a military Messiah to rule Israel. They want a military Messiah to defeat the enemies of the state of Israel by the way the granddaddy of Christian Zionism for the past

70 years died yesterday, Hal Lindsey Hal Lindsey passed away the late great planet Earth sold 40 million copies. 1980s down to Armageddon. I got that book too. Took John Nelson Darby's doctrine and mass marketed it so the leaders promise to believe Jesus if he descended from the

cross showed that their their religious beliefs were based on physical evidence, physical signs. They couldn't comprehend what was taking place spiritually. But even after Jesus' resurrection, which was a far greater miracle than coming down from the cross, coming up from the grave is a bigger deal than coming down from the cross. Many of the same people continued to reject him. I mean, they wanted him to come down from the cross to prove he was the Messiah.

He said, I'll do you one better. I'll come up out of the grave. And they still rejected him. See, there's nothing that was, you know, nothing is going to convince them because their hearts are hard. Their minds are closed. Verse 43. He trusted in God. Let him deliver him now.

If he will have him. For he said I am the son of God. So they're quoting. The mockers are quoting Psalm 22. He trusted in God. Let him deliver him now. if he delights in him. Again, they're reading their lines. It's like an angel said, okay, read Psalm 22, verse 8. This is where you come in you walk in now and read psalm 22 verse 8 and then get off the stage

hey gabe come over here listen to what he's gonna say watch this see yep because because the father had already scripted out the play. God had already scripted out the crucifixion. The sacrifice. The resurrection. He scripted it all out. And guess what? He has scripted out eternity.

He scripted out your salvation. It's all in the plan. It's all in the plan. And when you realize it's all in god's plan rest in christ nothing's going to happen today that you can't handle with jesus yeah nothing's going to happen to you today that's bigger than jesus by the way if he did come down off the cross they'd be looking for better nails to put him back up again that's it right they blame the nails you got it done they blame the nails they take the nails back to Home Depot say hey get bigger nails this didn't work

um so the the religious leaders equated God's lack of physical intervention as a rejection of Jesus' claims of being God's Son. Well, if you were the Son of God, God would rescue you. Why isn't he doing it verse 44 the thieves also which were crucified with him cast the same in his teeth now notice this is plural the thieves how many thieves were there how many robbers were on crosses two

how many are mocking him two two I think a lot of people forget that both thieves mocked him both robbers on the cross mocked him. Both robbers on the cross mocked Jesus.

So Jesus is mocked and rejected by the people on the ground. He's mocked and rejected by the people on the crosses next to him. They represent humanity. So he's totally isolated. Completely isolated. Even those suffering alongside him are mocking him. If anybody should have shown some sympathy, it'd be the other guys on the crosses hey jesus man this is horrible what they're doing to us you know we we deserve it you don't deserve

it but this is horrible no they're mocking him the two robbers are mocking him remember what we said the other day as robbers these aren't petty thieves these were hardened revolutionary criminals who most likely were disciples of barabbas and that center cross was was reserved for barabbas but the jews said give us barabbas put jesus up there they were robbers which meant they were thieves using force yes that's what they were used but they were stealing doc they were stealing to finance revolution the insurrection yes okay um so the mockery from everybody speaks of the total abandonment of Jesus Christ, the depth of his suffering.

He's completely abandoned. He is an island, an island hanging on a cross, alone. And we're going to see later, even his father abandoned him. So this is universal rejection. Have you ever felt that way, that you're abandoned by everybody? You're alone, you're isolated. Okay, you're not imagining it.

And you know what? When you're in that situation, speak to Jesus about it because he knows what you're feeling and he'll say hey I've been there I have felt that you'll get through it stay close to me I'll walk you I'll walk with you through this season of abandonment. I'll walk with you. Don't let despair take over. Satan wants you to be so deep in despair that you think there's no way out, there's no hope,

there's no way I can get out of this. But Jesus says, no, I know the way out. I'll walk with you. You're not abandoned, I know the way out. I'll walk with you. You're not abandoned. I'm here with you. I will never leave nor forsake you. So you can't be totally abandoned. You might be completely abandoned and isolated by humans, but you're not totally abandoned because Jesus said, I will never leave nor forsake you.

So he's always there no matter what situation you're in now even though even though both robbers mocked him one of the robbers had a change of heart and and repentant changed his heart changed his mind changed his words something clicked something happened to him he's mocking Jesus with the other robber and then he changed what do you think caused that to happen dog um you know luke gives us more details about it. The one robber

rebuked the other robber and then asked Jesus to remember him and his kingdom. So to me that's an example of the promise of redemption in the worst

circumstances. It doesn't get any worse than what that guy was in yes well and that that robber knew he was why he was on the cross he was he was on the cross because he did something. He was an innocent man, did nothing. But what changed him? Why was he mocking and then he changed? See, there's something in that man's heart.

When he looked at Jesus and Jesus turned his head and looked at him and he's looking in the eyes of the son of God something changed in that man he saw the son of God the other robber saw whatever he thought he was religious clown you know he had no respect for him at all but the one robbers suddenly suddenly his eyes opened up and he spiritually could see jesus is the messiah um but it it it there's there's the example of rejection and acceptance of grace. Individual choice in the face of divine revelation and suffering.

Right? in the face of divine revelation and suffering. Jesus' choice to the repentant thief which was a promise I assure you today you will be with me in paradise tells us of the grace and mercy that's available to all who turn to him regardless of their

past actions or timing. But the two robbers represent two choices that we have. Both were condemned. Both were sinners. Both deserved their punishment. There was no doubt about it. They knew it. They understood it.

They knew that they were wrong they knew they deserved the punishment they were getting and yet both of them had a choice one could continue and the other could choose life yes yes um we'll have to do a teaching another time about going to paradise. People think, oh, the thief went to heaven. No, Jesus said, today you will be with me in paradise. Okay. This is Hades. This is where the dead were held.

The wicked on one side and the righteous on another side and a great canyon between them. That's where Jesus descended to the place of the dead. He took the, see, the other thief went to the side for the wicked. And Jesus said, I'm taking you with me to paradise. I'm going to introduce you to Abraham and a whole bunch of people. Hey, we're way over. I got to go. Well, today is Wednesday. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. And on Friday morning, for those who are
