I'm Rick Wiles. This is True News for Wednesday, July 31st, 2024. Let's start today's analysis and commentary of today's world news headlines by looking at this report published by BBC in London. Israel claims it killed senior Hezbollah commander in strike on Beirut. So, Doc, this was the first assassination. Right. And let's take a look at what BBC said, and then we'll move on to the next story. Okay. Israel says that it killed a top Hezbollah leader after carrying out an airstrike on a southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut. The Israeli military says Fuad Shakur was the target of an intelligence-based elimination.

Now, Hezbollah has not yet confirmed his death, but says Shakur was in a building that was hit at the time. Israeli officials say he was responsible for a rocket attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights from Saturday. So this is a response to that attack, which killed 12 people, mostly children. Hezbollah has denied any involvement in that attack. In fact, Hezbollah filed a claim with the U.N. saying it had nothing to do with that particular attack. But this is the tit for tat that's going on between the two parties now. And this was the first of two major war that appears imminent, like any day, any hour. I'm going to show you some video.

This is the Beirut-Lebanon attack. This is the Israeli missile that struck an apartment building that took out the Hezbollah commander. Let's watch. Doc, I don't think the Israelis checked to see if there were any children in that building. I doubt it. They don't care. And think about this. This is one sovereign nation striking another sovereign nation. A residential neighborhood.

Yes. There were more people in that building than a Hezbollah commander. It was a residential building. Right. So we don't know how many innocent people died, but the Israelis don't care. There's no such thing as innocent victims in the minds of the Zionists.

I'm looking at my phone to see if the world went crazy during the night. That's what I do. I mean, after I say good morning to the Lord, thank him that I'm alive. Then I check to see if the idiots are still alive too and creating havoc and chaos. I saw the headline, Hamas leader assassinated. I did not see in Tehran.

It wasn't until a couple hours later until I had some coffee that I realized they did this in downtown Tehran. When I first saw the headline, I thought, well, they're repeating the Beirut assassination. Something's changed here. And then I saw the Tehran too. this is a whole different story. This is another assassination. So let's take a look at what the Jerusalem Post reported today about assassination number two, or intelligence-based elimination. That's right. So Hamas leader Ismail Hanaya was killed in Iran, Hamas claimed on Wednesday evening, while claiming Israel was behind the attack. So that was confirmed by Hamas. In a statement, the Islamist terror group said they mourned the death of Hanaya, who they claimed was killed in a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran. Now, keep that in mind, folks. Hanaya, along with one of his guards, was reportedly killed at his Tehran residence, according to an IRGC statement.

And Saudi Arabia's Al-Arabia reported that he was killed at approximately 2 a.m. Wednesday morning. It goes on to say, with condolences to the heroic nation of Palestine and the Islamic nation and the combatants on the resistance front in the noble nation of Iran. This morning, Wednesday, the residence of Mr. Dr. Ismail Hanaya, the head of the political office of the Islamic Resistance of Hamas, was hit in Tehran. And following this incident, he and one of his bodyguards were martyred, the IRGC statement read, early this morning, the residence of Ismail Hanaya in Tehran was struck, resulting in his and one of his bodyguards' martyrdom. The cause is under investigation and will be announced soon. That's coming from Hezbollah-affiliated news site Al Mayadeen, claiming that Israel had eliminated him. Now, of course, the first assassination, intelligence-based operation, obviously, for someone to do a precision strike on the Hamas leader in Tehran, that's significant,

Rick. It's very significant, and I don't see how Iran will be able to not respond. We'll talk about that in just a minute. Was the United States involved? We can only go by the statement coming out of the Pentagon. Fox News Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin could not confirm suspicion that Israel is behind the assassination. Who else did it? Is there somebody else out there that is killing people? They can't confirm that Israel did it.

But others in the U.S. government have said the U.S. was not involved. They had no involvement, but they can't confirm that Israel was or was not involved. For sure the U.S. is not involved. And so, I mean, I think we can add two and two together pretty quickly here, Rick. Well, I mean, when you consider the capabilities of the NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency and the CIA,

they know the whereabouts of anybody on the planet. You can't hide. There's no place you can go. If you think you can hide from the U.S. government, you are extremely naive. They may let you roam around freely, but they know where you're at at any moment. So whether the U.S. provided intelligence, we don't know. And then you have the Jerusalem Post, the U.S. not involved in assassination, according to Antony Blinken, Secretary of State. U.S. Secretary of State Blinken said on Wednesday, the United States was not involved in the assassination of Hanaya and reiterated the importance of a ceasefire in Gaza.

He told Channel News Asia during a visit in Singapore, quote, this is something we were not aware of or involved in. It's very hard to speculate. He went on to say, I've learned over many years never to speculate on the impact one event may have on something else when asked what impact Hanaya's death might have on the war. So the next story I want to look at, this is I-24 News, and they are reporting that Hanaya's bodyguard leaked information that led to his assassination. Right.

Now, I don't know if it was accidentally leaked or deliberately leaked, but he got killed, too. That's right. So I'm assuming he accidentally revealed the whereabouts of himself and Hanayah. But this article goes into some detail and provides some shocking information that the missile came from within Iranian territory. That is the fascinating thing about this. It didn't come from the soil of Israel. According to I-24, it was launched inside Iran. That's right.

So the missile was launched from a building close to where Hamas leader was staying, with some reports suggesting it was fired from within Iranian territory. Sky News Arabia, citing Iranian sources, confirmed the assassination, described the precision of the attack. Senior Iranian officials expressed disbelief and concern over the breach, with sources indicating that Tehran's leadership is reeling from the implications of this incident. The assassination not only raises questions about Iran's internal security measures, but also challenges the country's ability to safeguard its borders against such sophisticated strikes.
