Former President Donald Trump suffered another legal setback when the New York State Supreme Court declined to hear the former president’s appeal on the gag order in his hush money case. Judge Juan Merchan, the judge who presided over the trial, issued the gag order last March that prohibited Mr. Trump from making public comments about the case. The gag order did not apply to anybody else who was involved in the case. Mr. Trump also asked Judge Merchan to terminate the gag order prior to Mr. Trump’s sentencing scheduled for July 11. The president’s lawyers said there is no legitimate reason to keep the gag order in place because the trial has ended. The former president was convicted of 34 counts of business fraud and is facing up to 138 years in prison. What will happen on July 11? The president, the former president is convicted, 34 counts. He's facing 138 years in prison. I don't think the reality has hit the Trump base yet. I don't think it's sunk in yet. I just think that they're still thinking somehow he's going to get out of this. We're going to talk about this here today. But before we get to Mr. Trump's situation, I want to show you

the legal quagmire that other Trump supporters are in right now. Here's CNN. Steve Bannon won't be spending his prison term in a club fed as he had hoped. How many of you knew that Steve Bannon was going to prison? I knew it, but of course I follow the news. But yes, I knew he was. He's headed to prison July 1st. Yes. And so CNN is reporting when former President Donald Trump's advisor Steve Bannon goes to prison, he won't be serving time at what's known as a club fed, the most comfortable type of facility in the federal system, as he had wanted, according to people familiar with the arrangements. Instead of a minimum security prison camp where many nonviolent offenders served their time.

Bannon, now a right-wing podcaster, got to put that in there, with a following of loyal Trump supporters, is set to report next month to the low-security federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut, sources told CNN. Now, a federal judge ruled recently that Bannon must turn himself in by July the 1st to begin serving a four-month sentence for contempt of Congress, even as he appeals the case. His attorneys initially thought he may be able to do his time at a camp, the sources said. The prison in Connecticut, where Steve Bannon will live, houses a large number of white-collar criminals, but also may house violent and sex offenders in its men's population. Now, it doesn't have cells and instead houses its inmates in open pods, yet it does have a

noticeable barrier, referred to colloquially as the wall, between the prison facility and the outside world, which prison camps don't have. Now, Bannon's lawyers have written to the D.C. U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that his imprisonment shouldn't happen this summer, as the trial-level judge has ordered, because he would be behind bars for the four-month period leading up to the November election, when millions of Americans look to him for information on important campaign issues. That's according to a recent filing for Mr. Bannon. This would also effectively bar Mr. Bannon from serving as a meaningful advisor in the ongoing national campaign, Bannon's lawyers

wrote. Okay, so the candidate himself may be in prison and his chief campaign advisor will be in prison. Right. This is America, right? It's, that's what they call it. Well, the folks at CNN could barely contain their glee when they reported this story. Let's, I've got a small clip from CNN. Let's watch. Breaking news. Steve Bannon denied his request for the so-called club fed when he's forced to report to prison.

Sources telling CNN that the longtime Trump ally will not get a cushy prison assignment, but is likely to serve time in a Connecticut prison where he could be placed with violent criminals and sex offenders. A prison that does not have individual cells, but rather an open pod layout for inmates. And CNN is learning tonight that there is also a chance Bannon could be sent to New York City's infamous Rikers Island. Just happy as could be, happy as a clam. So Steve Bannon was at the People's Convention in Detroit this weekend, the event that was put on by Charlie Kirk and his organization. Of course, Donald Trump spoke there, but Steve Bannon was there as well. And he said a few words to the crowd that was there. Well, he said that the Trump administration will go after the people who put them in jail. That's right.

And who prosecuted Trump supporters. He's very direct about it. And when you hear him, you'll understand why they want Steve Bannon locked up for this election. Let's watch. After that, it's not the tape. We're coming after Lisa Monaco, Mary Garland, the senior members of DOJ, and the prosecutor, Brenton Trump, Jack Matthews. And this is not about vengeance. the DOJ, that have prosecuted President Trump, Jack Smashing, and this is not about vengeance,

this is not about revenge, this is not about retribution, this is about saving this republic. We're going to use the Constitution. We're going to use the Constitution. We're going to use the Constitution and the rule of law to go after you and hold you accountable. November 5th is Judgment Day. January 20th, 2025 is Accountability Day.

So this time, Mr. Trump's team is not going to let their enemies get all free. In 2017, when he won, you know, when he won in 2016, and by the time he was inaugurated in 2017, Mr. Trump said, oh, we're not going to lock up Hillary Clinton. In fact, he said, I never said it. My supporters said it. They said lock her up. I never said it. And we're not going to lock her up.

Well, guess what? This is what we're dealing with now. They said, we're going to lock you up. And I predicted it. Yes. I predicted. I said in the fall of 2016, I gave a list of things that they would do. And if this fails, they'll go to this one. If that fails, they'll go to this one. Putting him in prison is next to last.

The last thing is to kill him. Yes. And if they get him in prison, they're going to kill him in the prison. You also said back then in 2016 that this was a race to see who goes to jail first. That's right. And they've been picking off the administration. Start off with Paul Manafort years ago and others within the administration. One in particular that got picked off that a gentleman I really respect

is Peter Navarro. And you've interviewed him multiple times, I think. Peter Navarro is in prison. Yes, right now. Most Americans do not know that. Peter Navarro is in a federal prison right now. For the same charge that Steve Bannon is charged with, contempt of Congress. And the contempt of Congress was refusing to testify when the Democrats were hauling people in on various witch hunts. And Peter Navarro said, I have presidential privilege. I'm an advisor to the president.

And advisors to the president don't have to testify. Well, a court said, no, that's not true. We're putting you in prison. So Peter Navarro is in prison. He gave an interview to Daily Caller. And I just have, there's the headline. Okay, Trump confidant Peter Navarro describes life in prison, plans for when he's free. This really grieves me that Peter Navarro is in prison. The man's not a criminal.

No, not at all. You know, he's a good, decent man, loves America. He should not be in prison, but he is. And I want you to see one quote from the Daily Caller interview. This is Peter Navarro speaking. The Miami facility is no club fed by any stretch of CNN's imagination, but functions more like a low security prison surrounded by razor wire with frequent lockdowns and little inmate access to the outside world. That's where Peter Navarro is at right now in a federal detention center in Miami. Right. Treat it like hardened criminals. Peter Navarro is at right now in a federal detention center in Miami. And this is this is the new America that we're in, which is whoever is in control of the prosecutor's office. And wearing the badge and wearing a rope, whichever party is in control of those things has the power to put the other party in prison. This is so un-American. This has never happened in our country.

And if this continues for another five years, this will work its way down to the city level, down to the county level, down to the school board level. They will put everybody in prison who challenges them. That's where we're going.

This is the way they're carrying out their revolution. They'll either, anyone that challenges them or anyone who refuses to go along with their game plan, like Allen Weisenberg, his accountant in the Trump organization, or, you know, of course, Paul Manafort back at, you know, that was years ago, George Papadopoulos, you know, you just go down through the list. They've been picking them off one by one. And now they're after the big guy. And they ruin the lives. They destroy been picking them off one by one. And now they're after the big guy. And they ruin the lives. They just they destroy people's lives. They don't care.

They don't care about anybody's life or their reputation or their family. They don't care. But it's about power. But name the Democrats that have gone to jail. None. Right. Democrats don't go to jail. They don't go to jail.

Another one who's in trouble this is matt gates florida congressman this is uh from tuesday's wall street journal matt gates faces health house ethics committee probe over sex drug allegations and uh so this is actually more – this is an investigation by the Democrats and the Republicans working together in the House. Yes. Not the Department of Justice. Yes. This is an ethics investigation. The House has its own – you know, police – I don't want to say a police force, but the Ethics Committee has investigative powers.

And so this is the House Ethics Committee said Tuesday it is investigating Florida Republican Matt Gaetz over allegations that the lawmaker may have engaged in sexual misconduct and illicit drug use, providing details of its long-running scrutiny of the influential conservative lawmaker. Now, this is, you know, to make it very short, this is payback from the supporters of Kevin McCarthy. Right, because he challenged Kevin, Speaker McCarthy.

More than challenged him. He's the one who brought him McCarthy. He more than challenged him. He's the one who brought him down. He brought him down. Now, the secretive 10-member panel released a letter Tuesday in which it said it was clarifying its investigation into the four-term lawmaker, Matt Gaetz, because of the significant and unusual amount of public reporting on the case. Now, the committee's announcement didn't disclose a timeline for its investigation. The ethics panel did say that it had difficulty in obtaining relevant information from Gates and that the committee has spoken with more than a dozen witnesses, issued 25 subpoenas, and reviewed thousands of pages of documents. And from that,

the panel determined that some of the allegations merit review. Now, in addition to the allegations of sexual misconduct and illicit drug use, the panel said it was also an investigation where the Representative Gates accepted improper gifts, dispensed special privileges and favors to individuals with whom he had a personal relationship, and sought to obstruct government investigations of his conduct. Now, of course, Representative Gates has denied wrongdoing. He said on Social Media Monday that past probes emerged from lies intended solely to smear me and that the committee is now opening new frivolous investigations. He said the panel is doing this to avoid the obvious fact that every

investigation to me ends the same way, my exoneration. Now, currently, Representative Gates is facing a primary challenge in his western Florida district from Aaron Dimmick, a former naval aviator who has made Gates' ethics a centerpiece of the campaign. And, of course, that primary is coming up here in August. Yes, that's a date that I recognize. Yes, that's true. That's my primary date also and my birthday. Right. But Mr. Dimmick, the challenger, was recruited by Kevin McCarthy.

I have a feeling this report will be issued before August 20th. That's just my hunch. It'll come out just before the primary election. How damaging do you think it would be? I don't know. I don't know. I mean, the feds were investigating him a couple of years ago and they dropped that investigation.

Right. And now the House Ethics Committee has rejuvenated that investigation and says that they have new information and they're continuing to investigate it. They finally have him.

Are they willing to pull the triggers? Well, I don't mean that. Are they willing to go through on this? Well, they have him. Okay, so, you know, we mentioned a couple weeks ago i said okay they they finally have the grizzly bear they've been tracking this grizzly bear since 2016 and they've got him in a bear trap and there's only two things you can do with a bear in a bear trap. Shoot it or transport it to a zoo and put it in a cage.

Those are the two things. What are they going to do? Are they going to get rid of him? How do they deal with him? They're certainly not going to release him. They've been tracking this grizzly for years. And now they got him. They've got him. But he is a grizzly.
