Starting point is 00:00:00 The following program is made possible by the faithful prayers and financial support of listeners just like you. To find out how you can help, visit www.truenews.com. This is True News. The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help us God. I'm Doc Burkhart, and standing by right now in Amman, Jordan, is True News host and founder, Rick Wiles. Hi, Rick, and good evening where you're at right now. It's afternoon for us here in Vero Beach, Florida. And you're in Amman, Jordan, sir. I am. And, Doc, it's actually morning.
Starting point is 00:00:51 It's about 1230 a.m. So you're keeping a late night tonight. It's Tuesday now. So, yeah. Yeah, I'm in Amman. I arrived here late last week and have some very important meetings taking place in Jordan this week. And I ask everybody just to pray for the Lord's favor. God is opening up great doors for us here in Jordan. This is a wonderful country, and the people have embraced
Starting point is 00:01:27 us very warmly and very friendly, and they want the Americans to come and visit the wonderful country of Jordan. And so that's why I'm here, and it's been a good start since I've been here. Tomorrow will be a very important day. Well, that's good to know, Rick. And I just asked our True News audience just to be praying for divine appointments and divine connections on your trip there in Jordan. And I'm sure the Lord's going to come through with that as well. Well, Rick, while you were traveling over the weekend, we had a big event going on here. We had the release of The Greatest Reset. And finally, after months and months of trial and
Starting point is 00:02:14 tribulation, we finally had the opportunity to show the True News audience and to all the donors and everyone that invested in their time, energy, prayer, and financial resources to help see The Greatest Reset finally come to fruition. I know I was excited about it, and I know you are too. I am, and I've been reading the comments. Our social media department and our administrative office has been sending me emails and online messages, social media posts about the movie, and everybody has just been raving about the film.
Starting point is 00:02:54 We're very proud of it, very glad that it's released. Getting this movie released was like a breech birth of a water buffalo. It took, it was a lot of pain, a lot of grunting, a lot of effort, but that baby finally came out. And I appreciate everybody, first of all, the people who invested in the film. And you were so patient and so understanding and Nobody really know but none of the donors fussed me a few of the non donors plus me
Starting point is 00:03:34 But that's normal, but the people who really Gave and underwrote that film. They were very understanding yes, they were and and And so there was a lot of prayer a lot of work a lot of legal fees well over a hundred thousand dollars in legal fees just to get that movie cleared and this is the way it is today in this world, especially in America. If you want to say anything, you're in for a fight, and it's going to cost you something. But, you know, my friends, if we don't stay in this fight, it's going to cost us everything. It's going to cost us all of our freedom, all of our liberty.
Starting point is 00:04:23 We're fighting now, and I don't like the fight. I don't like paying $100,000 in legal fees to make a statement. I mean, what happened to this country when you were able just to say what you wanted to say, and you didn't have to spend six figures with lawyers to be able to legally say something? What happened to us? But this is the way it is, and we're going to stay in the fight. And I appreciate the people who contribute to us and back us and support us because you gave us the wherewithal, everything that we needed to stay in the fight.
Starting point is 00:05:03 We had it and to god be all the glory and the honor and it finally came through i wish i could tell you all the people who were involved good and bad i'm not going to talk about the bed i wish i could talk about all the good people who were behind the scenes working people on staff, various professionals that we contracted with over months and months to get the greatest reset out of purgatory. It was a documentary movie purgatory. And it finally came out last week and we're so excited and relieved and we're on to other projects now. And you know, Doc, that the film,
Starting point is 00:05:54 I thought about this on the flight. The film was released on the weekend. Well, you know, we showed parts of it Thursday and Friday. As I was flying here to Jordan, and I thought, wow, one battle just came to a close. And a big door is opening on the same day. Right. Don't tell me God's not in this. He absolutely is, Rick.
Starting point is 00:06:26 And so, yes. And we could write a book on all the hurdles we had to overcome and all the miracles that had to take place in order for that release to come out over the weekend here. And it's such a blessing. Now, for those that didn't hear the news about the movie release, you can access the movie simply by going to truenews.com. Click on the banner at the top of the page.
Starting point is 00:06:50 You're going to see a banner for The Greatest Reset at the top of the page. You click on that banner, and it will take you to The Greatest Reset site where you can watch it for free. We promised you could watch it for free. And it's very easy to sign up. Just go to truenews.com, click on the link, follow the instructions, and you'll be watching the movie in no time. So we want to encourage you to that, like thousands of people have over the weekend. Right, Rick? Absolutely. And tell everybody about it. It's free. It's free because the True News audience subsidized it and made it possible.
Starting point is 00:07:29 And if you keep giving, we'll be able to make more films. But I want to tell you what else, Doc, you know why I'm here. And I can't tell everything right now, but I'm so excited. I got to tell a little bit about it. So, Jordan, this is my second trip here. I told you, you can see my clock there behind me. It's 1240 a.m. So I just got back from a late night dinner meeting with some important people here. And I was told
Starting point is 00:08:07 by a local Christian businessman here in Amman, Jordan that there are over 230 biblical sites in Jordan. Doc, he said there are over 230 mentions, places in the Bible that are in Jordan. So is this the holier land, Rick? I mean, are there more sites available here in Jordan or there in Jordan than there are maybe even in other places there as well? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:43 He said a lot of the places that when you go there, there's nothing there. It's just, it's mentioned in the Bible, and they know where that location is or was. So there's not like there's some structure or something that you could go there. But the point he was making is they can identify over 230 mentions of Jordanian territory in the Bible. And so they're very proud of it. Well, Doc, you know on our first visit we saw a lot of very important biblical sites
Starting point is 00:09:28 that really need care, need preservation. Right. Urgently need archaeological preservation. I mean, ancient sites that are just sitting out in the wilderness and there's nothing there. And ever since I was there with you, Doc, this has been on my heart. The Lord has been stirring me. And so where we're going with this is that we want to create, establish a Bible archaeology preservation society
Starting point is 00:10:14 that would work hand in hand with the Jordanian government and raise funds in America with American Christians and then build the structures in Jordan around those biblical sites to preserve them and to finance further archaeology, to do more digs. There are places here that have not even been excavated yet. And so these are the things that we're proposing, along with tourism, bringing people to Jordan. And so that's what I'm hoping to do. And so tomorrow I'm going to be meeting with one of the highest officials in the Jordanian government overseeing biblical antiquities.
Starting point is 00:11:16 And it's a very important meeting that we have scheduled tomorrow. Well, let's be praying that there's good results for that meeting, Rick. And as we always pray on these trips, we always believe that God puts us in the places where he wants us to be and connects us with the people that we need to talk to. That happens on every single one of our trips. And I believe that God's going to provide those divine opportunities as we continue to have these high-level discussions. I think every True News viewer and listener could just say that they're a part of this and just be happy to know that, hey, you're the ambassador of peace right now, operating in the kingdom of God right there in the country of Jordan for everyone that's watching and listening right now. It is, you know, Doc, I feel, it's hard to describe.
Starting point is 00:12:10 I feel a different anointing. There's something happening here. There's a lot of grace, a lot of favor. The Muslims, the Christians, we're all working together and there's just you can feel the presence of the Lord that he's doing something here and I want to be part of it and in the weeks and months ahead
Starting point is 00:12:42 our great audience is going to have an opportunity to be part of something historic, something that should have been done decades ago. These biblical sites should have been rescued and preserved decades ago, but it wasn't done, and we're here, and God willing, we're going to be able to work with the Jordanian government and reach out to many other churches. I've already spoke with the leader of one very large organization, and he is very excited about participating with us in preserving these biblical sites rick it's going to be so it's going to be so exciting when we take our trip in november with the true news viewers that have uh you know elected to go with us on the trip coming up it's going to be so exciting to be able to share that passion, that love, and that vision for these sites. When people see these sites, they'll get a real understanding of where your heart is on this.
Starting point is 00:13:52 And I've fallen in love with some of the sites myself. And you see such a need. And someone may ask, Rick, they might be watching today, well, why doesn't the Jordanian government, you know, pony up some money for this? Or, you know, why aren't these being taken care of, like other sites are in other countries nearby? Do you have a response to that? Yes. The Jordanian government is spending a lot of money feeding refugees. Money that other countries aren't spending. They have, I guess they have
Starting point is 00:14:36 I don't know, three or four million Palestinian refugees here, but they have one and a half million Syrian refugees living in the country right now. I didn't realize that. Yes. King Abdullah's government has been very welcoming to refugees. And, you know, he has a good heart. And he keeps taking these people in. And his
Starting point is 00:15:09 government is taking care of millions of people who've been displaced through the wars in the Middle East, in Iraq. They have Iraqi refugees here. And so the government is really strapped for funds. And I understand it. And the refugee problem is something else, Doc. As a church, I want to get involved with humanitarian projects with the refugees because there are children here without parents. There are families here who lost their homes in the wars. I'm talking about all the wars in the past 20 years in the Middle East. Right. And Syria just, you know, in the past what, 10 years. And
Starting point is 00:15:57 you know, this is an opportunity for Christians to be Christians. Yes. And many of these refugees are Christians. And that's the real untold story, isn't it, Rick? It is. But you know, Doc, the best thing to do, many of the other refugees are Muslims. And what we ought to do as Christians is to show them Christian love. And bring food, bring things that they need.
Starting point is 00:16:34 And do this in the name of Jesus Christ. And that's what I want to do here. And I hope our audience gets excited about it. Because I'm going to tell you, folks, something new is happening. I feel it. I can see it. It's happening around me. Doc, I got an invitation to an event in Jordan near the holiday season.
Starting point is 00:17:02 And it's a very special invitation. That just arrived tonight. Wow. This is amazing what is happening here. It's amazing. And I give God all the glory. I praise him. And you know, Doc, you know this.
Starting point is 00:17:23 When you travel with me, when I land, when my feet touch the tarmac, the first thing I say is, Father, your ambassador has arrived. Please tell your angels to give me my diplomatic assignment. And I rest in Christ at that point. And the meetings happen. The appointments happen. The favor comes. And you just begin to operate and walk and move as an ambassador of Christ. And whenever I leave the United States, these things happen happen to me I just start walking in a
Starting point is 00:18:08 different anointing and I I want to keep walking in a dog because they're good things that are happening right now well Rick I get so excited to talk to you about because your face lights up when you talk about this here it is almost one o'clock in the morning, and you're still excited, ready to talk about it. You should be completely wore out. Because when we're there, it's a busy day, and it's a strenuous day, and it's a lot of activities going on, and you're adjusting your time,
Starting point is 00:18:39 the body clock and everything. But here you are, you're talking about it, and you're excited. I went up to the top of i went up to the top of uh macaras today you went back up yes we're king herod's temple i i had to go back up one more time that's that's the most wild crazy dangerous ride i've ever had the twice now twice so and it was just as crazy this time and uh we took a smaller suv i learned just get a little bit smaller so the suv doesn't get wedged between the stone walls yes so the walls are folks i get you understand, the walls going up this mountain, this is a really steep mountain, and the road is on the edge of the mountain.
Starting point is 00:19:31 There's a, you've got two stone walls, and on the one side is a cliff, and a steep, steep drop. And you're going up to the top of this mountain. That is the original road that Herod's chariots rode. Those horses pulled old Herod's fat hiney up that road. And you can only imagine what that was like to hear those galloping horses taking those chariots up that cobblestone road to that fortress on top of that mountain. And you get up there and you realize
Starting point is 00:20:19 this is where Herod had John the Baptist beheaded. Now, Doc, when we were leaving, Basil, my assistant here, showed me a cave down near the bottom of the mountain. And he said that the Jordanian archaeologists believed that that cave is where John was in prison. that the Jordanian archaeologists believe that that cave is where
Starting point is 00:20:47 John was in prison. He wasn't up on the mountain. He was kept in that cave. Really? Yes. Now that's fascinating. Because they didn't, yeah, they didn't want,
Starting point is 00:21:00 they didn't want a prisoner up there with the king. They made him stay. And then I checked with my son, Jeremy, and he said that when he was in Ireland, the dungeons were at the bottom of the mountain. Well, now that would make sense. You wanted as far away from the palace as you could. And so. Oh, they don't want to hear the torture. Yeah. We just always assume that's down below somewhere,
Starting point is 00:21:30 but didn't stop to think about it. Well, those are the things that we're going to be learning more about on the upcoming trip and Jordan as well. You don't have that much opportunity to see things on this trip because you've got so many business connections that you're involved with, Rick. And so we're going to be continuing. Hey, Doug, I will. Yeah, go ahead. I'm sorry. There's a slight lag here. I apologize. Tomorrow, I'm going to various hotels and we're trying to negotiate more rooms because we have a waiting list of True News supporters who want to go with us in November. So I need to know if there's anybody else serious about going with us in November.
Starting point is 00:22:19 And if you are serious, please email info at truenews.com and tell us that you really are interested. We're trying to negotiate additional hotel rooms. And we can get another bus. That's not a problem. And we're certain we can get more plane seats. It may have to be a different flight than the one the other group is on, but we're gonna we're gonna work this out. What I need to know is how many more people want to come with us in November. I really need to know that soon.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Right, we're talking the next few days and so you see the email address on the screen there so if you're interested in joining us on the trip, this isn't a guarantee, but we're working hard to get all the pieces together for this. Let us know. We only have a few days left to get all these last-minute details ironed out. If you've already registered, everything is secure.
Starting point is 00:23:20 There's no problem there. Everything's locked down, so you're good to go. But if you're interested, please email us at info at truenews.com, and that way you can join Rick and myself and True News viewers and listeners from around the U.S. and around the world, actually, that'll be joining us on our trip in November. So any other words on Jordan here before we talk about the news, Rick? No, that's it. Hey, I got to do a real-time live director's cut here.
Starting point is 00:24:01 So, Doc, if our control guys can put you on screen, full screen, I'm going to reach over here and get my iPhone, which I left on by mistake. Okay. Because I made a phone call just before we started and I forgot to turn the phone off. All right. There you go.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Okay. This is a good time to sing a song right now, though. Well, we want to keep viewers, Rick. We don't want to lose them. And so that would be the ideal situation. So once again, if you're interested in joining us for the trip to Jordan in November, we do have the possibility of adding a few more people on the trip.
Starting point is 00:24:37 It's not set in stone yet. But if you're interested, we have just a few days where Rick is in Jordan right now ironing out some additional hotel rooms for those that are interested. Email us at info at truenews.com. That's info at truenews.com. Let us know within the next several days here before we have to just completely close everything. But we do have the possibility of adding a few more people to our Jordan trip in November. So please let us know here over the next several days that you'd like to join us for our trip to Jordan in November.
Starting point is 00:25:13 It'll be a trip you'll remember the rest of your life. Petra alone is worth the visit, and so we're looking forward to it. So I think we have Rick back here with us and everything, and we're going to jump into the news here in just a moment. And so... Hey, Doc, one more Bible thing. Okay. So I was over at the baptismal site where John baptized Jesus. And, you know, people need to know that the authentic site where Jesus was baptized is in Jordan. That's right. Everybody, well, I'm not saying everybody, American evangelical
Starting point is 00:25:57 Christians think it's in Israel. And credit to Israel, they've done a great marketing job convincing Christians that the baptism site is in Israel but it's in Jordan and have you ever noticed the word said he was baptized beyond the
Starting point is 00:26:20 Jordan? Right, yes beyond the Jordan so what are yes. Beyond the Jordan. So what are you getting at there, Rick? What does it say? Well, it says beyond the Jordan, so it's an area surrounding the Jordan, I would gather, right?
Starting point is 00:26:38 Right. Okay, so there is much evidence going back many, many centuries, going back, you know, in the fourth century where churches were built at a specific site. And Eusebius and Josephus both mentioned the same site. And that is in Jordan. So the Jordan side of the river does not get very many visitors. Because all the American evangelicals are on the other side. And when we were there today, there were buses of American evangelicals on the Israeli side of the river
Starting point is 00:27:31 getting baptized. But they need to be over in Jordan where Jesus was baptized. But while we were there, I met a Jordanian Christian who has a doctorate degree in Bible archaeology. And Doc, I had a fascinating conversation with him. And what I realized standing there as he started to point with his finger, so, okay, so we, you know,
Starting point is 00:28:10 we could see the baptismal site. Well, Mount Nebo was behind us where Moses saw the promised land. Yes. In front of us, in front of us beyond the Jordan on these, what is now Israeli side, occupied West Bank, formerly Jordanian territory, is the city of Jericho. You can see it with your eyes.
Starting point is 00:28:36 You can see Jericho. The place where Elijah was taken up in the air by the Lord is within eyesight. He told me so many different prophets that carried out their ministry in a geographical zone that you can see with your physical eyes. Doc, that spot is like ground zero. Yes. Wow. I never thought about that before. I hadn't either. That's what hit me today. this very compact geographical zone is spread out over thousands of years of Bible history. It was all happening in one spot.
Starting point is 00:29:36 It was amazing. Okay, let's talk about the news. You sure you want to after that? I know. Well, the news is happening here and folks tune in to find out our take on the news. We're going to start things out today with
Starting point is 00:29:52 an article that Rick picked up on here out of the Texas Tribune. This is a case that's been working through the courts in Texas here. Texas social media censorship law goes into effect after a federal court lifts a block. And so a Texas law prohibiting large social media companies from
Starting point is 00:30:12 banning users' posts based on their political viewpoints will go into effect after a federal appeals court on Friday lifted a block placed on the statute. Net Choice and the Computer and Communications Industry Association sued Texas after the law known as House Bill 20 was passed last year, arguing that Internet companies have a First Amendment right to curate content posted on their platforms and decide which types of speech they saw fit to be there. Now, in this ruling, the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals disagreed with the plaintiff's argument the law was unconstitutional, saying they were seeking
Starting point is 00:30:50 protection to muzzle free speech. They said, today we reject the idea that corporations have a freewheeling First Amendment right to censor what people say the ruling says. Now, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who has defended the law, celebrated the court's decision on Twitter. He said, I just secured a massive victory for the Constitution and free speech in federal court. Hashtag Big Tech cannot censor the political voices of any Texan, he wrote on Twitter. The CCIA said the ruling forced tech companies to give equal treatment to all manners of speech, including extremist views. They said, we strongly
Starting point is 00:31:33 disagree with the court's decision, forcing private companies to give equal treatment to all viewpoints on their platforms, places foreign propaganda and extremism on equal footing with decent internet users and places Americans at risk, the group said. Well, unfortunately, in this day and age, Rick, extremism is being defined as what you and I believe, Rick. The gospel can be extremist views in some cases for these folks, right? For many of these leftist radicals, just being mainstream Republican Party voter is now considered extremism. The real extremists are the people that are censoring free speech.
Starting point is 00:32:26 And this court decision, Doc, is monumental. It's big. Now, the Texas legislature passed a law that said that tech companies could not deplatform Texans. They couldn't censor them on social media. And as usual, a federal judge issued an order that blocked Texas from implementing the law. Now here in Florida, the Florida legislature, at the behest of Governor DeSantis, the future president of the United States, also passed a law that said tech companies could not censor Floridians. Same thing happened. A federal judge issued a decree, an order, the Attorney General Paxson appealed it, and
Starting point is 00:33:31 the appeals court ruled in favor of Texas. So, right now, the Texas law, I guess by now, has gone into effect. And it is now illegal to deplatform anybody in the state of Texas or any place that district court has jurisdiction. Now, I don't know what's going to happen with Florida. That's another federal appeals court. But if we get a similar ruling in Florida, then nobody in Florida can be deplatformed. Do you know where this is going, Doc?
Starting point is 00:34:19 That means they can't deplatform us, too, right? Yes, and you can be replatformed. Yes. And they can't block you. This is a huge victory for free speech. Rick, it's interesting that the big companies were actually using the First Amendment as justification to censor people.
Starting point is 00:34:43 I just found that so fascinating in this aspect of things. Yeah, they're saying, well, our free speech rights are being violated because we don't want their free speech heard. Yeah, go figure that out. Try to figure that out i you know their their argument is we're private companies and we should be allowed to decide who uses our services yes but you're monopolies and you're colluding you're a cabal they really are a cabal right it'd be like it'd be like an electric company a private electric company saying who can and can't have electricity, right? I mean, they can't be in a position like that. The judge actually said this, Doc.
Starting point is 00:35:35 The judge said, you know, we can't let banks close bank accounts based on political speech. Which they have. Well, they have. It's already been happening. Right. political speech. Well, they have. It's already been happening. So this is a really big decision. And these tech companies are acting like cartels. And we have federal antitrust laws that need to be used
Starting point is 00:36:00 against the tech companies because they're colluding, Doc. And colluding means i know the word conspiracy but they are conspiring to control the free speech of tens of millions of people don't tell me that facebook executives don't talk with Google executives and Apple executives and LinkedIn executives. I won't believe that baloney. You know that they get together privately. They are a cartel. And we also know that they speak openly within the political circles as well. You know, it's coming out that the White House directly and the whole Biden administration directly communicated with tech companies to.
Starting point is 00:36:45 And the FBI. COVID, yes. The FBI. Did you see the story that a whistleblower said the other day that the FBI, no, that Facebook was sending to the FBI mountains of data of the private messages sent over Facebook Messenger between conservatives. Just conservatives.
Starting point is 00:37:18 Sending it. The FBI didn't have a subpoena, didn't have a warrant. Facebook was just sending it like it was a regular day of business, just transferring the data. It's just incredible, Rick. Another tech story that you came across, Rick, this is from the Washington Post. The Pentagon is opening up a sweeping review of clandestine psychological operations.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Now, wait till you hear what the psychological operations are. Says the Pentagon has ordered a sweeping audit of how it conducts clandestine information warfare after major social media companies identified and took offline fake accounts suspected of being run by the U.S. military in violation of the platform's rules. Colin Kahl, the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy, last week instructed the military commands that engage in psychological operations online
Starting point is 00:38:19 to provide a full accounting of their activities by next month after the White House and some federal agencies expressed mounting concerns over the Defense Department's attempted manipulation of audiences overseas, according to several defense and administration officials familiar with the matter. The takedowns in recent years by Twitter and Facebook of more than 150 bogus personas and media sites created in the U.S. was disclosed last month by Internet researchers Grafica and the Stanford Internet Observatory. While the researchers did not attribute the sham accounts to the U.S. military, two officials familiar with the matter said the U.S. Central Command is among those whose activities are facing scrutiny. Like others interviewed for this report, they spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military operations. So Rick, we have in this story here that even Facebook and Twitter took down at least 150 bogus pages that were being run by the military supposedly maybe an observation of
Starting point is 00:39:27 overseas activity and everything and if they're doing it for that rick then you've got to know these other agencies are also doing it against u.s citizens as well right that's right and that said bogus personalities and pages. So personalities referring to fake people. And I think that's a typo. It can be 150. It's probably 15 million. What have we been hearing about the bots at Twitter?
Starting point is 00:40:04 Yeah, in the millions. I mean, literally in the millions. So, Facebook and all the social media companies, they can act like, oh my, we just found this, we're going to fix it. No, you're working hand in hand with the government. And have been. Doc, they're doing two things. They're censoring the free speech of citizens, and they're pumping out propaganda. So you can't fight. You're not allowed.
Starting point is 00:40:36 They're putting out propaganda into our minds, and then when we fight back against the propaganda, they deplatform us. Yes, and this propaganda is not just, you know, well, let's choose this candidate over this candidate. No, the undersecretary for policy on this said this. He said this to the psychological warfare divisions. The the the mind melders at the military. That's right. So it's not just you know casual will it shape some opinion no this was actually changing people's minds through psychological warfare that means they were using psychological warfare tactics against people yeah in this case they're saying uh oh you know overseas but you've got to know the same thing is happening here in the united states
Starting point is 00:41:25 where are the boundaries in the internet anyway and so uh this is definitely obama brock obama signed a law authorizing the pentagon to wage psychological warfare on the american people this has been going on for a decade. Let me rephrase it. It's been going on legally for a decade. It's been going on a lot longer than that. Well, one of the stories that we've been following closely here is the current shakeup in the world economy and everything,
Starting point is 00:42:05 and we've had some more red flags that have popped up today. Story over the weekend here that's gained a lot of traction has been over the FedEx CEO warning, he's seeing trends right now that there is a worldwide recession that's coming along here, and he's warning that it's going to just shake things up completely. Now, when a global operator like Federal Express is telling
Starting point is 00:42:35 you that there's a worldwide recession coming, you need to take heed on that because he's seeing trends that we don't see here in the U.S., right, Rick? You better believe it. And what he's saying, Doc, and I don't know if I can pronounce his name, FedEx CEO Raj Subramanian, I believe. His ominous warning, this is the New York Post, ominous warning of a worldwide recession drove the shipping company shares to their worst day in decades last Friday. And so what he's saying, Doc, in an interview on CNBC is that FedEx is seeing substantial drops in shipping worldwide. It's not just in one location. It's global.
Starting point is 00:43:32 And so he's saying this is turning into a global economic recession. Let me read this. This is a quote from his CNBC interview. Quote, we're seeing that volume decline in every segment around the world. And so, you know, we've just started our second quarter. The weekly numbers are not looking so good. So we just assume at this point that the economic conditions are not really good. So, when the CEO of FedEx says,
Starting point is 00:44:15 hey, something big is happening worldwide. The number of boxes being shipped on FedEx trucks has dropped dramatically throughout the world. Then you know something is happening, Doc, that is significant. And we're just starting to see this. I don't think we're going to really see it until we get into the winter of 23, the full impact of it. Well, one of the other stories that go right along with this, Rick, is this is a story out of Retail Wire. Once again, one of the outlets that Rick finds here, he's got the nose for it. And so
Starting point is 00:45:01 Walmart and other retailers are canceling billions of dollars in orders. John David Rainey, Walmart's executive vice president and chief financial officer, said it had declared most summer inventory, but was reducing exposure in electronics, home and sporting goods, and canceled billions of dollars in orders to realign inventories. He said our actions in the third quarter will allow us to make significant progress toward rationalizing absolute levels and mix, which will enable our stores to be well positioned ahead of the holiday season. Okay, so, Doc, let's hold it right here. So if Walmart has canceled billions of dollars in electronics, home goods, sporting goods, two things are happening. First of all, the factories that produce those products are going to lay off employees.
Starting point is 00:46:02 They're going to shut down production lines. So now you go back to the FedEx CEO. Nothing's being shipped. So it's going to affect overseas shipping containers. It's going to affect rail transportation, truck transportation. There's a ripple effect throughout the economy. Billions of dollars of orders canceled suddenly by Walmart. Why?
Starting point is 00:46:34 Because they don't want to be stuck with merchandise they can't sell. Yes. And that's going to have a ripple effect across the entire economy. It's going to affect gas prices because it's going to reduce demand for gasoline. That's going to make the price go back up again. And so there's so many. What about the factories that already made the products for Walmart? What do they do with it?
Starting point is 00:46:59 They either have to unload it somewhere. Some of them may even drop it in the ocean. I mean, it might be more cost effective to just get rid of the merchandise rather than even try to transport it because the transportation costs are so high. Or to inventory it, store it somewhere. Right. So now Rick has the ability to find stories in you know, in all sorts of different places. This is the latest edition of Footwear News. Okay. You know it was a late night for Rick.
Starting point is 00:47:34 So this is a story he caught his eye. It says Target cancels more than $1.5 billion worth of orders in the second quarter as it's grappling with excess inventory. Target is the latest retailer to roll out aggressive measures to balance its inventory in the wake of excesses. The big box retailer on Wednesday says it has reduced its inventory exposure in discretionary categories throughout the second quarter by canceling more than $1.5 billion worth of orders in these categories and marking down prices. In June, Target outlined a plan to right-size inventory for the balance of the year by unloading excess stock in the supply chain. Target said it had seen an unexpected sales slowdown in categories such as home, electronic, sporting goods, and apparel
Starting point is 00:48:25 as consumers spent more actively across essential categories like what? Like food and beverage because you still got to eat, right, Rick? That's right, Doc. Okay, so I want to remind our audience, I don't know how many months ago, back in, I would say, late winter, early spring, we told you Target is going to sell, they're going to have a big markdown on goods by October, November. Do you remember that, Doc? Absolutely. And right now, Target has rolled out this massive advertising campaign to try to get foot traffic in their stores. You're seeing markdowns, incredible markdowns at Target, but they've got to get
Starting point is 00:49:21 people in their stores to buy things. Foot traffic has been down so significantly with COVID and everything. They haven't been able to capture those people back in the stores. Well, maybe they should promote more, you know, try to get more transvestites and crossdressers to visit Target because they can use their restrooms. That's right. So, yeah, policies make a difference, don't they? I'm not shedding. That's right. So yeah, policies make a difference, don't they? I'm not shedding a tear over Target. I don't care. I don't care. They brought it on themselves. But what's happening at Target is an indicator across the entire retail sector. Everyone in retail right now is facing this tremendous crisis of what do you do with this inventory?
Starting point is 00:50:12 And we're going to see a different retail market here within the next three to six months. This holiday season is going to be one for the books, isn't it, Rick? It is. And, Doc, if they've canceled orders, that means store shelves will eventually be bare. Think about it. Yes. If you've canceled the replacement orders, once they've sold off their inventory, there's nothing to put on the shelves. That's true. And in that article there from Footwear News, you know, that last line there kind of summed everything up. People are
Starting point is 00:50:53 making choices now when they are, you know, budgeting their money, when they have money in their hands, they're having to decide, do I buy a new pair of fancy shoes or do I buy groceries? Do I buy a particular piece of electronic, the latest gizmo, or do I put gas in the car? And so these choices are now being made on a daily basis by millions of Americans. They're choosing to have food on the table and have gas in the car rather than the latest gizmo or the latest trend in fashion. That's right. It's the great attitude adjuster that's finally arrived. Another article. This is from Fortune. Legendary investor Stanley Drunkenmiller warns that there is a high probability the stock market will be flat for an entire decade. Now, this is on the
Starting point is 00:51:45 heels of the shakeup last Friday in the stock market, where we saw nearly a 1,200-point drop. After a hotter-than-expected inflation reading spooked investors last week, the Dow Jones Industrial Average sank over 1,200 points in the stock market's worst showing since June 2020. Now, that same day, Stanley Drunkenmiller, one of Wall Street's most respected minds, argued that the pain won't be temporary and that stocks face an entire decade of sideways trading as the global economy goes through a tectonic shift. There's a high probability in my mind that the market, at best best is going to be kind of flat for 10 years, sort of like this 66 to 82 time period, he said in an interview with Alex Karp, CEO of software and AI firm Palantir.
Starting point is 00:52:36 Drunken Miller's argument for why the stock market is facing a decade of flat trading is based on the idea that central banks policies are shifting from the world around the world from a supportive to now a restrictive stance he said when i look back at the bull market that we've had in financial assets really starting in 1982 all the factors that created not only have stopped they've reversed said, referencing current deglobalization trends like the rift between the U.S. and China, along with a move toward increased government spending and more regulation since the 1980s. He said the response after the global financial crisis to disinflation was zero rates and a lot of money printing, quantitative easing. That created an asset bubble in everything, he said. They're like reformed smokers, Drunken Miller said. They've gone from printing a bunch
Starting point is 00:53:33 of money, like driving a Porsche at 200 miles an hour, to not only taking the foot off the gas, but just slamming the brakes on. And so these monetary policies have finally come home to roost, right, Rick? They have. The Federal Reserve is, all the federal, all the central banks are responsible for this wave of inflation and this financial crisis that's coming on the world. You know, I saw a headline the other day. It could have been CNBC or one of the propaganda pieces that published this financial news. And it said, world banks or central banks around the world struggle with the problem of raising interest rates without causing a recession. And you think, is the reporter who wrote the article that dumb? Or did the Federal Reserve just send that press release over and they printed it because it's the policies of the central banks that caused
Starting point is 00:54:48 the inflation yes and the reason that they are jacking up interest rates is for the purpose of starting a recession they're not trying to raise interest rates without having recession you want to reset they want a recession they absolutely want a recession they want businesses to go broke they want people out of work they want people to be foreclosed in their homes that's how they bring down inflation. Because big bankers sit in their high towers and they don't have to pay the price that the common people have to pay for their idiotic policies. Right. So decades of quantitative easing and easy money printing and then you have the Inflation Reduction Act and all these other things. All these policies are like continuing to throw gasoline on a fire, right? You better believe it.
Starting point is 00:55:51 Now, Doug, I don't know. I'm trying to remember weeks ago. You and I, we showed a chart of inflation going back to the 19 early 70s do you remember around um i think it went from the 60s to the early 80s all right and i told you i said i said doc i think i said look there's three peaks of inflation on that chart between like 1966 and 1982 there were three peaks of inflation do you remember that chart yes okay so i said what i want our audience to understand is we're looking at about 15 years of inflation and there will be three peaks so we're in the first peak right now. And maybe in a year or two, some prices
Starting point is 00:56:51 will come down and the Federal Reserve and the politicians and the news media will tell you, we whipped inflation. We whipped inflation. And then there'll be another wave of inflation going into the mid-2020s. And then it will come down again. And they'll tell you again, we whipped inflation. Then there'll be another wave of inflation going into the 2030s. This is going to go on somewhere between 10 to 15 years.
Starting point is 00:57:28 Now, this is important for our younger audience. I want you to know this. This is my advice to you. Do everything you can to study what happened financially, economically economically between 1966 and 1982. Learn the ups and downs. Learn about the cycles.
Starting point is 00:57:55 Learn about the mistakes that people made. Learn about the right decisions that people made. There were companies that got started during that time, brand new companies like Apple and Home Depot, that started in a very negative economic environment. There are other companies that went out of business. Retailers that disappeared. Where's Kresge's? Where's McCroy's? Where's Montgomery Ward's? Where are
Starting point is 00:58:27 they? Where's Woolworth? Where are those retailers? They're gone. They got sucked out in the sea by that inflation wave. Right. Because these periods of time are opportunities for people to explore the inefficiencies in the current system and come up with a new model or to discover a technical technological key or breakthrough that allows us to eliminate inefficiency so like example like home depot the reason why home depot took off in that time and built up over these last 40 years is it took advantage of the inefficiency in the transportation and retail market. Apple, it came up with a new technology, a new gizmo that solved a problem or eliminated inefficiencies in being able to manage or being able to do new
Starting point is 00:59:20 things. And so you're right. These periods of time are opportunities for the wise to look at this and consider this isn't all, this of course is bad news, but inside the bad news is the opportunity to find what God has in store for us if we're wise, right? Absolutely. So you want to be long in cash. Get out of debt. Don't take on more debt. And I'm talking about frivolous debt. Don't be buying junk with a credit card that you don't need. Don't be taking out loans for things that you can pay cash for that item. If you absolutely don't need that item, do not get it. The coming years will be a time of austerity. You'll have to be frugal with your money. But at the same time, you need to be generous. And generosity and frugality are not opposites. They are not opposites. You can be frugal
Starting point is 01:00:29 and generous at the same time. When I say to be generous, this is a time to really double down on putting your faith in Almighty God to meet all of your needs. Look to Him. Trust the Lord so bountifully into His kingdom. Give generously. Help others who are in need. Give to people around you who are having a hard time. Just keep giving and giving and giving. Over the
Starting point is 01:01:04 next 10, 15 years, just give and give and give and give. You will go through this crisis and you will come out at the end smelling like a rose. But you've got to be frugal. I know some people are having a hard time figuring how can you be frugal and generous. Frugal in being very wise about how you spend your money, avoiding debt, but generous in being very kind, very good hearted, and doing good works in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Yeah, because...
Starting point is 01:01:44 Doc? Yes, sir, go ahead. Well, I was going to say, sometimes the trap of frugality is greed. It can be a trap in there. But by having a giving heart and a giving attitude, giving is the antidote to the greed that's in there. You better believe it.
Starting point is 01:02:00 Frugality is not hoarding. Frugality means managing things in a tough time but generosity is the antidote to greed in those situations it is it is jock uh one of the men that i had dinner with tonight here in amman and we went to a lebanese restaurant first time i had a Lebanese meal. I don't have the slightest idea of what I ate, but it was great. It was very good, but I don't know what they ordered. I just told them, order it for me. I'll eat it. One gentleman told me that during the COVID lockdown, he said all of Amman was locked down. And I don't remember how many months that the city was completely locked down. You couldn't leave your house.
Starting point is 01:02:52 I think he said two months. You couldn't leave your house. But he said his business was down for two years. COVID absolutely shut down the industry that he was in. It's just incredible. Wow. Now, Doc, this man is a God-fearing, Bible-believing, church-going lover of Jesus Christ. And he told me, he looked at me and said, Rick, I don't know how this happened, but I paid all my employees for two years
Starting point is 01:03:31 and they never came to work. He said, I don't know how it happened. I just know the Lord brought me through the storm. And now, because my business is so busy, I'm booming with business. But I came through the crisis, and the Lord's grace was there. But he said, I know it was because of the things I did before the storm came. Right. Amen.
Starting point is 01:04:02 That's good. So you can't wait for the storm to prepare. I want to encourage your people right now. I'm telling you, the storm is coming. The financial storm is coming, but do not be afraid of the storm. Don't be afraid of it. Ride it out. It's going to last 10 to 15 years. But if you're young, you're going to have opportunities to succeed that others will not have that opportunity, and you need to be looking for those opportunities. The Lord is the giver of witty inventions, and he'll give you an idea. He'll give you an invention, an idea, a service, a new business. He'll show you something that's never been done before in a different way.
Starting point is 01:04:49 And he'll give you a way to make a living. And some of you will actually become quite successful over the next 10 to 15 years. And I hope in the 2030s you look back and remember me saying, I hope you can say, I don't know if I remember his name, but there was a guy that said, trust the Lord, you're going into a 15-year business inflationary cycle, and trust the Lord, and he's going to take you through it. And I think some of you are going to be carried by the Lord to heights of success that you never thought possible in the middle of a storm.
Starting point is 01:05:34 Well, Rick, I know you've got to be running on adrenaline right now and excitement. I am. It's 1.35, okay? I'm actually up. It's up to you. and so that's your call. What else we got on the list there? Well, we've got to share this story that you caught earlier today about the Chevron CEO saying, and you had already said this weeks ago, a couple months ago,
Starting point is 01:06:01 Americans should brace for higher natural gas prices, the Chevron CEO says. And several factors are going to be fitting into this is that because the U.S. is going to supply gas to Europe this winter. You can guarantee that. It's probably by executive order at some point. But then you also had another story, and this is actually frightening. This is from an outlet in Germany, Konyung Freiheit, and it tells the story of a baker, a large baking firm in Germany, having to pay over 300,000 euros for gas. Now, to translate that for this particular company,
Starting point is 01:06:44 it means a 1,200% increase in energy costs. So the energy company E.ON is demanding a significantly higher gas bill from the Hanoverian baker Eckhard Wader. They are demanding around €330,000 from the entrepreneur for the gas consumption for the past four months. In addition, he said they need to pay the amount within 14 days. Are they crazy, he reacted indignantly, according to the Build newspaper. A year ago, look at this, Rick, it was 58.56 euros per month in gas costs for our large furnaces and heating. Now the boss of the family
Starting point is 01:07:27 business, which has existed since 1955, Rick, reported on a previously concluded contract with a price guarantee until the end of 2023. But it was suddenly terminated, so even the agreements are being tossed out, Rick. Now his new energy supplier is demanding a price increase of 1,200 percent, and Vatter was not given a reason for the increased price. Well, the reason is, is because they're going to be short on gas this winter, right, Rick? They are. And this is also part of Klaus Schwab's Great Reset. They're driving small entrepreneurs out of business and they're using
Starting point is 01:08:14 tyrannical financial crushing techniques to destroy the backbone of many communities. And in Europe, many businesses that have existed in Italian communities, in French communities, in Swiss communities, they're going to be out of business by springtime. Right. But imagine. We're not going to recognize society by next summer. You know, to see this one particular baking company here
Starting point is 01:08:54 having to face a 1200 percent increase in gas prices for, and everybody has to eat bread. And so you've got to make the bread. But then you're going to have these smaller companies that are going to get kicked out. But imagine if you saw a headline like that here in the U.S., Rick, where local gas rates, suddenly your gas bill went up 1,200% over the course of several months. Would that finally shock people enough? Would that finally wake people enough to realize what's really happening here in this world and the plan that they have for us?
Starting point is 01:09:30 Doc, I'm even stunned by the steep price increase. Twelve hundred percent. I mean, you can't even wrap your mind around that, that, you know, a small baker goes from paying 5,800 euros per month and suddenly gets a four-month bill of over 330,000 euros. They're going to put the person, that owner is going to go into bankruptcy Or just shut the doors And that's the end of the business So It's actually hitting Europe Faster and worse than
Starting point is 01:10:16 I anticipated just a few months ago And they brought it on themselves They brought it on themselves The They brought it on themselves, the Bilderberg boys, the CFR, the NATO nuts, who said, we're going to drag Russia into a war with Ukraine. We're going to set up this fight. And their purpose was to financially drain Russia. But it's going to be Europe that gets financially drained. And it's really sad because this war didn't have to happen. The destruction of Ukraine didn't have to happen.
Starting point is 01:11:02 And the economic destruction of Europe does not have to happen but the European and American political leaders are too proud to admit that their idiotic policies have created a mess and so they will just double down and it will get worse and worse and worse until people rise up and say, we've had enough of you. Go away. I mean, Doc, we could just take people off the street and they could run governments better than these people. Yes. You have to think, Rick, it has to be by design. And so that's the only conclusion that you can come to because naturally crazy doesn't operate this way, does it? No, it doesn't. It is by design.
Starting point is 01:11:50 They're bringing forth their version of their new world order, which is replacing the old new world order that came into existence after World War II. And Mr. Putin and Xi Jinping and a bunch of other people in other countries are also trying to create a new world order to fight their new world order. And so this battle continues. But I've got good news. There's a king coming who's going to establish the greatest new world order. And that is Jesus Christ. And he's going to establish the kingdom that shall have no end. And he will put an end to all this insanity. He will crush this regime that is trying to rule the world with tyranny.
Starting point is 01:12:48 He'll put an end to all the wars. And the meek shall inherit the earth. And the peacemakers shall be called the sons of God. That day is coming. That day is coming and let's not lose sight of what our hope is. Our hope of glory is the return of Jesus Christ and his righteousness and his kingdom. And I'm here in the Holy Land tonight speaking to you and I'm telling you, my friend, the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back. And this message must be preached in all the world,
Starting point is 01:13:29 and then shall the end come. And that's what I'm doing, and I invite you to become part of this ministry and help us take this gospel of the kingdom into every part of the world to baptize men and women and children in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And to make disciples of all men, women, and children. That is the great commission. And Jesus said, when that is done in all the world, the end shall come.
Starting point is 01:14:05 It's not coming before. So let's get on with the job and let's tell the world about Jesus Christ and his kingdom. I'm so tired of talking about the devil's kingdom. Yes. I love talking about my king's kingdom. And that's our purpose and we encourage everyone to become part of this ministry. We're growing, we're expanding. The Lord's favor, his hand is on us. Our enemies
Starting point is 01:14:40 have not been able to stop us. We've only gotten bigger and bigger and bigger. And God's favor is with us. And I'm very, very grateful at this age, this stage of my life, to be doing the things that I'm doing right now. And I am honored and I'm humbled by what my God has done. Doc, I'm just a country boy from Western Maryland. And I'm over here in Jordan walking as an ambassador.
Starting point is 01:15:13 And it's very humbling because I know who did it. It's my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And I want to serve Him with all my heart. I want to live out the final days of my life giving Him a thousand percent of my life. Amen. Amen. Well, Rick, we appreciate your efforts there in Jordan this week and we're just going to continue for divine connections and divine appointments.
Starting point is 01:15:46 God has you there for a plan and purpose and really every True News viewer, every True News listener that has invested in this ministry over 20 plus years, they're part of this trip too. And so we know that God's going to be doing some great things and we're just excited for you, Rick. And we'll be praying for you, praying for good health along the way as well.
Starting point is 01:16:08 And that Rick's a worker, so don't overdo it, boss, okay? I know. I got really sick Saturday night, Doc. You know, I did something I shouldn't have done. It was very hot and I walked a lot. I walked miles and miles and miles back in a dusty area to look at some ancient sites. And there was a little refreshment stand.
Starting point is 01:16:40 That's what I'll call it. I shouldn't have done it. But I ordered a fruit juice. It was supposed to be fresh fruit. I think it was fresh earlier, maybe a couple days earlier it was fresh. But
Starting point is 01:16:57 my assistant, I'd already gulped mine down, and when my assistant tasted it, he goes, this isn't good. He's Jordanian. He goes, this isn't right. There's something not right. Don't drink it. Well, I already drank it.
Starting point is 01:17:12 Well, it made me, I was sicker than a stray junkyard dog in July, man. I mean, I got sick. It was bad. I was up until 6 a.m., but I got over, and the Lord, I appreciate, I reached out to our team and said, please pray for me. I am, I'm alone at a hotel in Jordan. I'm very sick right now, and a lot of people started praying for me, and I am very grateful. And we were praying for you. And we know that people will continue to be praying for you for divine protection all this
Starting point is 01:17:51 week as well. Any final words before we close out the program today, Rick? No, what are you doing the rest of the day here? Pardon? The day's early for you. What are you going to be doing? It's seven at night here. so I got work to do. Oh, okay. All right. I should let you guys go. All right.
Starting point is 01:18:10 All right, Doug. All right, sir. Love you guys. Well, just continue to be praying for Rick as he finishes up his trip all this week. And the Lord is doing some great things with this ministry. And the Lord is just doing some brand new things that we never would have expected even a few months ago. And so continue to be praying for us. On behalf of Rick Walls and the entire True News staff, thank you for loving us.
Starting point is 01:18:36 Thank you for praying for us. Thank you for financially supporting us. Rick will have more updates from Amman, Jordan tomorrow, so be sure to tune in. God bless you and we'll see you on the Tuesday edition of True News.
