President Donald Trump today ordered Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the Russia-Ukraine war immediately or else face severe consequences. The Kremlin has not yet responded to Mr. Trump's ultimatum. This is True News for Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's national and international news
Starting point is 00:01:48 by looking at this Newsweek headline, Donald Trump Issues Ukraine Warning to Smart Putin. In other words, Mr. Putin, if you were smart, you'd do what I'm telling you to do. And that's the way this is coming across. If you're smart, you'll bow down to me and you'll do exactly what I tell you. Another headline, Reuters, Trump threatens Russia and others with sanctions if Ukraine deal not reached.
Starting point is 00:02:28 And they changed this headline, by the way. Did they? What was it before? It was sanctions. Then they changed it to tariffs later. It was sanctions. Yes. It was sanctions because my headline says sanctions. Yes.
Starting point is 00:02:41 But what shows up is tariffs. And then we've got a video of Mr. Trump saying sanctions, more sanctions. More sanctions than Biden put on Russia. Right. What else are they going to sanction, Rick? I don't know anything we get from Russia right now. Do you? No. I know something we're going to get from Russia.
Starting point is 00:03:07 But the point is, Mr. Trump is not rescinding Biden's pressure. He's adding to it. Right. He's rescinded everything else Biden did. But when it comes to war, Doc, this is going exactly the direction I feared it would go. And I was hoping, oh, please, God, don't let the warmongers get in Donald Trump's head. But I said last week, the strategy, the warmongers would use psyops against trump yes and their psyops is working they're using psychological warfare operations against donald trump to uh war game
Starting point is 00:03:57 his mind they're war gaming him if we say if we tell him tell him this, what will he do? If we give him this instruction, what will he do? They're giving him the instructions. Donald Trump, you're strong. You're mighty. You have to stand up to Putin. If you don't stand up to Putin, you look weak. Knowing that if he starts his negotiation with that kind of cocky attitude,
Starting point is 00:04:27 it's already over. You're back to having a war. So this is what Mr. Trump said. You called for a ceasefire in Ukraine. If Vladimir Putin doesn't come to the table to negotiate with you, will you put additional sanctions on Russia? Sounds likely. And do you think that the war should be frozen currently? The war should have never started. If you had a competent president, which you didn't,
Starting point is 00:04:51 the war wouldn't have happened. The war in Ukraine would have never happened if I were president. But that couldn't happen because the election was rigged. I disagree with him. The war would have happened. The war would have happened. The war would have happened. Right, because the reels were in progress in Ukraine in 2014. Mr. Trump, as president, was putting sanctions on Russia trying to stop the Nord Stream pipeline. Yes. He was interfering in Russia's commerce with Germany.
Starting point is 00:05:20 He was basically saying, over my dead body isussia going to build a a gas and oil pipeline the only difference was that when he left the white house put a biden blew it up right so there was nothing that donald trump was doing that was different than the course that Biden took. Biden simply just picked up the baton and carried on. Right. Donald Trump had four years as president from 2016. Why didn't he solve it?
Starting point is 00:05:56 Why didn't he solve it then? Putin was sending the message, get the NATO troops away from my border. Make a written declaration that Ukraine does not join NATO. No missiles in Ukraine. Get the Nazis out of Ukraine. That was going on the entire four years Mr. Trump was in the White House. He's blowing smoke to say there there would not have been a war yes there would have been a war
Starting point is 00:06:30 now we may have already gone nuclear by now right that's a possibility this is not a good sign folks it's not a good sign i'm happy about everything else he's doing. But you know, when it comes to nuclear war, I would just like someone to have their big boy pants on and act like an adult. Newsweek, Trump warns Putin to make a deal with Ukraine or face more sanctions. Then he posted this on his Truth Social page today yes so he said i'm not looking to hurt russia this is from donald trump i love the russian people i have always had a very good relationship with president putin and this despite the radical left's russia russia russia hoax we must never forget that russia helped us the Second World War, losing almost 60 million lives in the process. All of that being said, I'm going to do Russia, whose economy is failing, and President Putin a very big favor.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Settle now and stop this ridiculous war. It's only going to the U.S. and various other participating countries. Let's get this war, which never would have started if I were president, over with. We can do it the easy way or the hard way. And the easy way is always better. It's time to make a deal. No more lives should be lost. That is a lousy, absolutely lousy way to begin negotiations with a nuclear-armed
Starting point is 00:08:11 nation. That's like on a third-grade level. I'm probably making a whole bunch of people mad. I forget that we survive on donations. I'm probably taking off a lot of people right now. But only donor i need is my heavenly father that is a that response that is the most asinine way to to begin a negotiation to settle war when you're dealing with a nuclear armed nation i mean if if if you're dealing with the tiniest nation in the world i guess you could throw your weight around like that how do you look if i started out if you and i were in a long running fighting it's close to really going bad okay right and i said hey doc i don't want to
Starting point is 00:08:59 hurt you but but i got some terms for you what's your attitude i'm not taking your terms exactly if you come out and say i'm not i don't want to hurt you what you're what you're really saying is i'm gonna hurt i'm gonna hurt you yes that's exactly right that's how you receive it here it comes that's exactly how they're going to receive it especially the russians the r The Russians are going to say, so really, oh, you're going to put more sanctions on us. We don't care. The Russians are going to say, we don't care. We're past that stage. And once again, I'm faced with the question,
Starting point is 00:09:36 what else are you going to sanction Russia on? What else? I mean, we've had, what, how many years now? Three years of sanctions. And Russia's economy is moving. It's better. It's bigger than it was before. It's not failing.
Starting point is 00:09:52 I don't know who's giving Donald Trump this information. Warmongers. You know, on Russia. Warmongers. The troop count the other day, he said, well, there's a million Russians. No, there's not a million Russians dead. He believes the propaganda his warmonger advisors feed to him.
Starting point is 00:10:13 That's so disappointing in him. So we're off to, this is not a good start. What is this, the third day? Yes. Third day. The third day. Yes, this is not a good start.
Starting point is 00:10:28 A mature, seasoned negotiator, a statesman, would have arranged a telephone call with Putin and would have said Mr. President our two countries have been at odds let's you and I wrap this up and let's do it in a fair way that both of us can save face and go on to better
Starting point is 00:10:58 things for our own countries I like your idea of a 100 year truce a 100 year peace plan why not that because like your idea of a hundred year truce. A 100 year peace plan. Why not that? Because there's no money to make. Peace doesn't make money. So,
Starting point is 00:11:14 the Kremlin has been quiet. They haven't responded all day. That means that they are carefully crafting their response. They're either going to ignore him or they're going to tell him what he can do with his threat. And what worries me is how quiet they have been. Even Dmitry Medvedev.
Starting point is 00:11:41 They're all quiet. And when the Russians are quiet, that's when you... Lavrov? Okay, what have we been saying for a week? Apparently in the Russian media, they have a date set in February where they're going to use multiple hypersonic missiles in one simultaneous strike. In four different directions. Yes. And one of those directions could be
Starting point is 00:12:05 london or could be washington folks i don't know what it's going to take to get the american people or the american government or the people too yeah the people because the people cheer the stuff on they eat it up they just soak it up. If they know about it. Because you see, it's such bravado. Oh, that's our man. Look how tough he's talking. He's standing up to Putin. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Well, Putin's going to stand up to you too. What do you get out of this? A couple hundred million dead people? It's foolishness. It's foolishness. It is foolishness. It is the best of times. It is the worst of
Starting point is 00:12:54 times. Read that whole quote. Charles Dickens, Tale of Two Cities. I can't quote the whole thing. I always quote that it was the best of the time. And the only reason I know it is because it was in Star Trek.
Starting point is 00:13:11 But the whole quote, it's a very long sentence, Doc. He talks about the wisdom and theishness of the Times. It's one of the best written sentences I think any author has ever written. I got it here. You have the whole quote? Yeah. All right, read it. It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.
Starting point is 00:13:37 It was the age of wisdom. It was the age of foolishness. It was the epoch of belief. It was the epoch of incredulity. It was the season of light. It was the epic of belief. It was the epic of incredulity. It was the season of light. It was the season of darkness. It was the spring of hope. It was the winter of despair.
Starting point is 00:13:53 There you go. That's it. I just read it. I'm not going to memorize that quote. That'll work anywhere. Yeah. It's in the book that I wrote. And I have that in the book.
Starting point is 00:14:04 Oh, really? Yes. In Megawar? Yes. Really? In fact, it's on the book that I wrote. And I have that in the book. Oh, really? Yes. In Megawar? Yes. Really? In fact, it's on the first page. How appropriate. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Because that's what I'm saying. The best of times is the worst of times. The age of wisdom and the age of foolishness. Yes. Boy, that sums up today, doesn't it? Well, speaking of foolishness, I saw this article in Bloomberg earlier today. Take a look at this headline. He's a Davos.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Yeah. Yeah, he's finally catching up with his wife. They arrived last week for the skiing. President Zelensky of Ukraine says that the United States must be part of the Ukraine peacekeeping force. He's telling the U.S. what they must do? Basically, yeah. Brazen. All right.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Well, he was quoted as saying, while at the World Economic Forum, we have some video here of President Zelensky, it can be without the U.S., he said, speaking to Bloomberg. Even if some European friends think it can be, you know it can't be. Nobody will risk without the U.S. Ending the war should be a victory for Donald Trump, not for Putin, Zelensky said. Putin is nobody to him. Putin is nobody to Trump Yes Well Putin may make himself somebody Well Rick What if Donald Trump did say He was putting U.S. troops in Ukraine
Starting point is 00:15:34 Then we go to war That's what's going to happen Then we go to war We're in the war cycle It's one thing when we're providing guidance And intelligence And driving drones But it's one thing when we're providing guidance and intelligence and driving drones, but it's
Starting point is 00:15:47 quite another thing when we actually have boots on the ground. We already have boots on the ground. Let's just be honest. But we don't have platoons of boots on the ground. What I'm concerned about, Doc, is that Putin will feel compelled to
Starting point is 00:16:03 do something extreme to is that Putin will feel compelled to do something extreme to demonstrate to Donald Trump he isn't going to be pushed around. And then Trump's going to be looking around at his advisors and say, what's going on here? I did everything you told me to do, and look at the mess that we're in. And then Mr. Trump's going to realize he just got pulled into World War III. Right.
Starting point is 00:16:32 He actually started it. Yes. Or started the shooting phase of it. London Times, prepare for war with Russia. EU diplomat tells member states. So at the EU meeting and also at WEF, both of these events are coinciding here. Europe must raise its spending on defense to ensure it's ready to fight a war with Russia. That's coming from Kaya Kayas, the EU's foreign policy chief. She says, Russia posed an existential threat to our security today, tomorrow, and for as long as we under-invest in our defense, Kalis said on Wednesday at the
Starting point is 00:17:14 annual defense conference on the European Defense Agency in Brussels. It went on to say, time is not on Russia's side because it's not necessarily on ours either because we are not yet doing enough. There should be no doubt in any of our minds that we must spend more to prevent war, but we also need to prepare for war. Europe has explained to us that in 28 and 29 it will be ready to fight Russia. When? 28 and 29. There we go. We're getting really close to 2030, aren't we? It is necessary to prepare the male population of Russia to defend the motherland. We must talk about this and not shy away from it. That's coming from Alexei Zurovlev, head of the pro-Kremlin Rodina Party.
Starting point is 00:17:54 All right, so this is the Russian politician. Right. He's saying Europe has explained to us in Russia that in 28 or 2029 the EU will be ready to fight Russia. It is necessary to prepare the male population of Russia to defend the motherland.
Starting point is 00:18:15 The whole male population. They're not talking about fighting age. Right. To prepare the male population of Russia to defend the motherland. They are going into total war mindset. It's win or die. And so Mr. Trump is pushing Putin around.
Starting point is 00:18:41 And Putin and his country is in a total war mindset that the West is coming to destroy them. In 28 or 29. Yes. So if you're in that mindset, if you know that your enemy is preparing to fight you, wouldn't it be better to eliminate your enemy now? You've got to know that calculus is going on in the criminal record. It is. But, Doc, I've pointed it out in the past. I think both sides are trying to figure out when are they capable of doing it in a way
Starting point is 00:19:20 that the other side is knocked out. Because you only get one chance. You only get one chance to throw a knockout punch. If you swing at some guy and you miss, or all you do is knock him on the ground and he gets back up, the fight is on. They have to do is knock him on the ground and he gets back up. The fight is on. They have to do a knockout punch.
Starting point is 00:20:00 They have to hit at such a precise time in such an overwhelming manner that the U.S. is unable to fight back. It's lights out. Completely lights out. Completely. Lights out. That's what they're calculating. When and how do they do it? Is it an EMP attack? And does that neutralize
Starting point is 00:20:17 all of America's missile silos? When they have that decided, that's when they strike. And i don't know the answer to that question and it could be both sides are trying to gauge from each other how long can we go building up our military while they're building up their military but when when is the drop dead moment that we have to strike because if if we cross that line, they will have the advantage. And that's what both sides are looking at. That's why they keep coming up 28, 29, 30.
Starting point is 00:20:52 So that means that Russia isn't ready either. No. They get to mobilize their male population. That's going to grandpa too. They're going to go down into the high schools. That's why they're teaching children in school how to clean a gun. They're not necessarily teaching the children to shoot, but they're saying,
Starting point is 00:21:17 your dad and your uncle might need you to clean the guns while they're fighting. They're going in total war mindset. They're convinced the West is coming for them. So they've got to raise up the new greatest generation. Yes, quickly. Because it is that same cycle. Yes, it is. It's the very same cycle.
Starting point is 00:21:37 We're in the fourth turning. It's the fourth turning for everybody, though. You know, it's almost like people are locked in. They can't get out of that cycle at all, can they? I know, folks. It's really amazing. The more you think about it, I mean, the same group of people that 75, 80 years ago that basically fought the World War II, now that same generation in the turning cycles
Starting point is 00:22:04 is the very same one that's going to be fighting again. Their counterpart generation. And the Russians that were born in the aftermath of the war are now the generation that's going to be sending the young generation into war. And they can't send them now. They're not ready. They're not ready. the generation that's going to be sending the young generation into war. And they can't send them now. They're not ready. They're not ready. It's going to take three or four years to move the cycle long enough.
Starting point is 00:22:33 This is really fascinating, folks. I mean, you really get an education on this. But you don't have that total war mindset in the United States. No, because we haven't suffered anything yet. So the American people are not thinking like that. Right. You just wait until they start giving up their sons and grandsons and nephews and their daughters
Starting point is 00:22:53 and their granddaughters, because I'm going to tell you what, they're going to take your daughter in this war. Yeah. Your daughter's going to be in combat. So if you want to cheer him for being tough with Putin, go ahead, but it's not going to end well.
Starting point is 00:23:12 That's all I'm going to tell you. It's not going to end well. Telegraph, Russia rearming faster than thought for possible attack on NATO. Telegraph said Russia is rearming faster than first thought for a potential attack on NATO. Germany's military appointment on Ukraine warned. On the eve, now this is a couple days, on the eve of Donald Trump's inauguration,
Starting point is 00:23:35 Major General Christian Fruting said that Russia had already replaced missiles and tanks lost in the invasion of Ukraine. So they're back. They've set the clock back to 2022, spring of 2022, as far as military strength. As far as equipment. They've already rebuilt what they've lost in three years of war. This is what the West did to Russia. It turned them into a war machine. And what they lost those first three years was the old stuff. What they're going into this next war with is the new stuff.
Starting point is 00:24:12 They're not building new versions of the old stuff. This said Putin has reoriented the Russian economy to feed his war machine and has bought extra supplies from Iran and North Korea, which General Fruting, head of the German military task force, said was helping Russia replenish tanks, missiles, and drones. He warned that although it was not clear, see here, what does that headline say? The propaganda's in the headline. What does the headline say? The propaganda is in the headline.
Starting point is 00:24:47 What does the headline say? Russia rearming faster than thought for possible attack on NATO. Now, this line says, the German general said, although it's not clear Putin has plans to attack NATO. He was clearly creating the conditions for it. The headline says he's going to attack NATO. He was clearly creating the conditions for it. The headline says he's going to attack. Because if you don't read the article, all you see is,
Starting point is 00:25:14 Putin's going to invade NATO, going to fight NATO. Yes. He goes on to say production is growing, supplies in the depots are growing. You know why, General? Because they're convinced you're going to invade Russia.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Yes. You created this. You brought this on. Your idiotic, ridiculous policies. You're pushing the world to an Armageddon nightmare. And folks, it's coming. And I believe it's in the 2030s.
Starting point is 00:25:47 I believe we're going to get through this i believe we're going to get through this somehow we're going to get through this unless unless we have a a limited war with russia and the really big war that is in the 2030s is the u.s and china right we could have a war with Russia before we get to the 2030s. Euro news. Hundreds of Swedish troops arrive in Latvia to join NATO brigade. This is a ship carrying parts of a mechanized infantry battalion arrived
Starting point is 00:26:20 early Saturday in the port of Riga, the Latvian capital. Is it pronounced Riga? Is that the right port of Riga, the Latvian capital. Is it pronounced Riga? Is that the right way? Riga? Escorted by the Swedish Air Force and units from the Swedish and Latvian navies, they're joining a Canadian-led multinational brigade along NATO's eastern flank.
Starting point is 00:26:42 And Latvia borders Russia to its east and Belarus to its southeast. Tensions are high across Central Europe due to Russia's war against Ukraine. Sweden's armed forces said the mission of 550 troops will contribute to NATO's deterrence and defense efforts to ensure stability in the region. Sweden, you weren't going to be attacked if you had stayed out of NATO. Right. So this is what you get for doing NATO. Russia wasn't interested in attacking you. But you had to get in NATO. That's the price you pay for signing up for NATO.
Starting point is 00:27:22 Well, you know what, Doc? If I went out here and joined a Mexican gang, guess what's going to happen to me? The other gang's going to beat me up. Right? Probably. Because I joined the other gang, the rival gang. If you join a gang, you're asking for a fight. So when Latvia joined the other gang, the rival gang. If you join a gang, you're asking for a fight. So when Latvia joined the NATO gang, they're going to get in a fight.
Starting point is 00:27:50 Right. When they didn't have to get in the fight in the first place. Sweden and Latvia. They just were in Finland. Just stay neutral. Nobody's interested in invading Sweden. When's the last time you had a bad thought about Sweden? It's been a while.
Starting point is 00:28:08 I can't recall. Have you ever had a bad thought about Sweden? No. But now they're at risk. Now I'm thinking bad things. Was it Sweden that has the burial
Starting point is 00:28:22 association looking for enough grave sites? Was that Sweden? I'm pretty sure it was. Okay. Was that happening before they joined NATO? No, it wasn't. Did they have enough graveyards? Did they have enough burial plots?
Starting point is 00:28:36 Yes. Yeah, it's Sweden. But now they're out looking for land for cemeteries to bury all the dead Swedes that are going to die in the war. And nobody in Sweden is going, you know, things have changed since we joined NATO. Hey, we got a lot more cemeteries now. Yeah, cemeteries are up.
Starting point is 00:28:57 The funeral business is up. All right, let's turn our attention domestically. And this is good stuff that Donald Trump is doing. Okay, I'll put the international stuff aside. I'm not happy with him on this stuff. ABC News, Trump authorizes ICE, this is immigration and custom enforcement,
Starting point is 00:29:26 authorizes them to raid courthouses, schools, and churches. Doug, things are going to get crazy. They're going to get crazy. You're going to have SWAT teams going in schools. And churches. And churches. Courthouses. I didn churches. Courthouses. I didn't consider courthouses.
Starting point is 00:29:47 The article goes into, let's say there's an illegal alien that is in front of a judge. Well, the feds can go in and they can grab that guy. Yes. Even while he's appearing before the judge. Yes. All right, I'll tell you a true story. Now, this just happened a few months ago. A courthouse, the county courthouse is just, it's a walking distance here, okay?
Starting point is 00:30:09 Our local county courthouse. And a couple months ago, I was at the local county courthouse. And this person came up to me and said, I'm looking for so-and-so. And I go, I don't know why they thought I knew where this person was at. And I said, what are you looking for? I'm a process server. I've got papers to serve. I said, well, do you think he's here?
Starting point is 00:30:46 Oh, I know he's here. He's in a courtroom. I said, well, right there's a courtroom. You know, that process server went into the courtroom and served papers, a lawsuit, on the man that was in the courtroom. I had never seen anything like it, ever. And there was a county sheriff's deputy there. And I said to him, I said, I've never, that's the wildest thing I've ever seen. He goes, it goes on every day, Rick.
Starting point is 00:31:19 I said, every day? He goes, it's every day. The courtroom is the best place to serve papers. Because you know where they're going to be. You know they're going to be there, and they can't get out. Because you can't leave. The bailiffs just stand there and close the door. What are you going to do?
Starting point is 00:31:38 So with that said. Now imagine ICE going in. ICE is going to raid courthouses. So federal immigration officials will be permitted to target schools, courthouses, and churches after President Trump officers from arresting suspected undocumented immigrants in a variety of locations. Now, you already know the propaganda there just by the phrasing. Schools and houses of worship were deemed off-limits, as were hospitals, funerals, weddings, and public demonstrations. The funeral one is the one that got me. Funerals and weddings. They're going to raid funerals and weddings. Yeah. So now this new policy is sharply different than the Biden administration, which did not allow ICE to conduct enforcement operations near courthouses. ICE officers or
Starting point is 00:32:38 agents may conduct civil immigration enforcement actions in or near courthouses when they have credible information that leads them to believe the targeted aliens is or are will be present at a specific location and where such action is not precluded by laws imposed by the jurisdiction in which the enforcement action will take place. Now, the memo also said that I should go after those who are in court for criminal proceedings and not civil matters like in family court or small claims. non-public areas of the courthouse be conducted in collaboration with court security staff and utilize the court building's non-public entrances and exits okay don't make a big deal about it all right here's a a question let's say a county government i right here our local courthouse block away right the county sheriff has arrested an illegal immigrant for, let's say, a really serious offense.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Rape, murder, armed robbery. Really serious. The sheriff has the criminal in the courthouse. The judge is about ready to put this guy in the slammer. Ice comes in, grabs the criminal, and takes him out before the sheriff can take him to jail to put him in prison. He's guilty of a crime. Right. But he was guilty of a previous crime. Guilty of a previous crime. But what I'm saying is the raids are actually going to preempt cities and counties and states from getting justice for victims of crimes. Right.
Starting point is 00:34:37 I understand that. Yes. Because that guy's not going to go to prison. He's going to go back to Mexico or Honduras, Guatemala. He's not going to face any time back there. You know, you could look at it, okay, we got him out of the country. They're gone. But you're going to see these kind of things happen where hardened criminals are actually
Starting point is 00:35:01 going to be apprehended in a trial for the crimes that they committed. Now, obviously, Doc, one rule beginning today is don't invite an illegal immigrant to your wedding party. Or your funeral. Or your funeral. And now you can't call them illegal immigrants anymore. You have to call it in the same directive. It says that ICE employees are directed to use the lexicon consistent with the Immigration Nationality Act and language historically used by the agency, which is you can no longer call them non-citizens like the Biden administration was doing. You have to call them aliens.
Starting point is 00:35:46 And for those who are in the country illegally, they are illegal aliens. They're not illegal immigrants. They're not illegal non-citizens. They are illegal aliens. And that's going to be the new verbiage now for ICE, DHS, everybody. Well, the real politically correct term was undocumented. Yes. Undocumented non-citizen.
Starting point is 00:36:09 Right. So they're back now to being illegal aliens. Reuters. Trump administration to criminally probe officials who resist immigration actions. So city mayors, councilmen, county executives. Some governors. Some governors, sheriffs. J.B. Pritzker's one of them. He said, we will
Starting point is 00:36:31 resist any actions by ICE or DHS. Trump's going to have them arrested. They're going to arrest governors and mayors. I told you before the election, things are going to get
Starting point is 00:36:46 real messy. That when Mr. Trump, and I'm all for, totally for this, rounding up the criminals and getting them out of the country. But I said it's going to get real messy
Starting point is 00:37:00 because the Democrats are going to put up resistance. Trump is going to put his head down like a bull and go charging, which he should. And say, arrest that guy. And he's going to say, arrest him. And then the nightly news is going to be the governor of such and such state was arrested today. Now, it's only going to take one or two governors being arrested, and the rest of them are going to fall in line.
Starting point is 00:37:26 But it's going to happen. You're going to see a big city mayor, major Democrat governor be arrested if they dare stand in the way of federal agents who are trying to apprehend hardened criminals. Financial Times, Donald Trump halts more than $300 billion in U.S. green infrastructure funding. There goes AOC's green deal. Yes. It's gone. Doc, do you know how many companies that had their snoot in the trough, sucking up that $300 billion? I'm sure I'm going to be shocked at the number here.
Starting point is 00:38:16 Well, I don't know the number, but just think if you were the CEO of one of those companies today. Like DTE? There's no money now. Right. There's none. It doesn't exist. The gravy train's none. It doesn't exist. The gravy train's over. And the investors, everybody, know this company's going to go belly up. Right.
Starting point is 00:38:34 Because the public doesn't want to buy their stuff. Right. And all this green money was tied in with the Inflation Reduction Act, which had nothing to do with inflation and didn't reduce anything except what was in your pocket. The money's not out the door yet. It's going to be very hard to see that money go out the door under the Trump administration. So this is another, to me, it's a good thing. They did. $9 billion loan to Michigan Utility DTE Energy. $3.5 billion to Oregon-based utility Pacificor.
Starting point is 00:39:15 Doc, those are giant holes in your bottom line. Right. When it gets into the billions. And those two companies, you know, they were already projecting out five to ten years. All right, we've got this money and this is what we're going to use it for. Do you know how many people were losing their jobs this month in the green energy world? Can't pay them because your salary was based on federal funding. Wall Street Journal, CEOs launch war rooms and hotlines to cope with Donald Trump's order blitz.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Now, this was a fascinating article to read. It was. JPMorgan Chase has set up a war room. The law firm Fisher Phillips created an immigration hotline to help clients manage potential workplace raids. Manufacturers and retailers have teams working to soften the blow of potential new tariffs. And the blitz of executive orders and memos from President Trump have left business leaders, some still in the tuxedos. They wore to the White House inaugural balls, scrambling to make sense of the sweeping changes. They're still in their tuxedos.
Starting point is 00:40:26 So there's probably some shock and awe on day one. This comes from Nick Studer, chief executive of Oliver Wyman, a management consulting firm. President Trump is at the peak of his power now. I don't think so. I think we're yet to see it. And more will become clear as the administration gets into governing, said Studer, who added that few companies fully grasp the impact of potential tariffs. There's a reason why, because we haven't had tariffs for more than 100 years. We're watching it very, very carefully, but we have a lot of operational levers that we can pull.
Starting point is 00:41:01 We have a lot of factories in the U.S. and we can flex them and maybe bring some of that product back to the U.S. So companies now are having to reevaluate. Do we want to maintain a presence outside the U.S. or bring everything back home? Because tariffs are coming there and that's the unknown factor now. Is it going to be cheaper for them to survive the tariffs or to bring everything back? But everything else that he's doing, Doc, changes to tax laws, changes to immigration, changes to trade policies, energy policies,
Starting point is 00:41:34 these corporations are in a state of shock because their long-term projections of the business that they were going to be doing just went out the window. Right. So, I mean, it made the front page of the Wall Street Journal today.
Starting point is 00:41:52 War rooms in banks and corporations. Well, that would have to be the attitude. I mean, you know, he is flipping over all the apple carts at the market. He is. He really, really is. And we won't know, we may not even know, in 10 years the total effect of everything. There are rumors today that he's limiting the federal income tax.
Starting point is 00:42:18 Yes. Well, he can't do it by himself. Right. But he's talking about it. Right. But if you order agents not to collect taxes, that's the same thing. Right. That would be true.
Starting point is 00:42:32 You know, I just heard one person say it on television that the 80 some thousand IRS agents that Biden hired. Right. And because many of them were trained to use firearms. Right. Trump is moving them to the border. Put them on border duty? Yes. Hey, they're already hired.
Starting point is 00:43:00 They're already trained. They already got a gun. That's right. And he's creating this external revenue service to collect tariffs. Well, it'd be good to have armed agents in that department, wouldn't it? On everything except the war, I am delighted. I am elated. Everything.
Starting point is 00:43:24 It's like a dream come true. His first three days, it's been like a dream. The only thing I have problems with is both wars. Both wars, this one and Gaza, because he would kill more people in Gaza if he had to. But domestically, it's beyond anything I ever imagined. Because typically, Doc, the way you get a Republican, it doesn't matter. So you elect a Republican, they promise they're going to change. But if you elect a Mitt Romney, do you think any of this is going to happen?
Starting point is 00:44:05 Of course not. No, because he's been embedded in the Senate forever. So it wouldn't matter which Republican we elect. Everything would stay the same. There might be a few minor changes. But this is exactly what you said. He's turning over apple carts. This is completely turning Washington upside down.
Starting point is 00:44:29 And nobody knows what to do. Wall Street Journal, oh, no, this, yeah, Wall Street Journal, anxious federal workforce bids goodbye to job stability and remote work. Well, in this article, he did say we're shutting down every DEI department. Today. Today. By 5 p.m. 5 o'clock today. Everybody that worked in DEI is on leave. Paid leave. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:54 But at least they're not messing things up for everybody else. And I don't know if we have, no, I guess I didn't have that. I thought I had a whole article on that. But they ordered them, Doc. I mean, they have to take down websites. Yeah, it's number 10. Oh, we do have it? Did I skip over it?
Starting point is 00:45:12 Yeah. So we have a number 10 there. So there's this article, The Washington Post. Layoffs loom as Trump administration orders federal DEI workers on leave. Yeah. But when you go down the list of what they did, this is the diversity, equity, inclusion, wokeism stuff. The directive will lead these employees to be laid off today. By 5 p.m. today.
Starting point is 00:45:43 The Office of Personnel, it's the government HR office, the acting director, Charles Inzel, sent the memorandum to federal departments and agency heads instructing them to inform employees of DEI offices by 5 p.m. Wednesday that they are being placed on paid administrative leave effectively. By next Friday, agency heads must provide office personnel management with a written plan for executing a reduction in force action of DEI office employees. Now, in that article, it says this, that agency heads must ask employees if they know of any efforts to disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language, the memo said. So DEI-related websites, social media accounts, and other media must be taken down. So what's happening is some of these DEI agencies are renaming themselves, like the Equal Employment Office. They were Trump-proofing. Right.
Starting point is 00:46:48 And the Biden administration had this plan going. Right. Here's how you're Trump-proofing. Nothing's changed. They just changed the name. And so that's why they had to throw this in. Yeah, it may not be called DEI, but if it's quacking like DEI and walking like DEI, it's DEI. And the memorandum, the Office of Personal Management is requiring every federal agency and department to email every federal employee basically and apologize for DEI.
Starting point is 00:47:20 Yes. It says the email to the employees must state that DEI programs divided Americans by race, wasted taxpayer dollars, and resulted in shameful discrimination, and that there would be adverse consequences for failing within 10 days to report any attempts to disguise DEI contracts and personnel. They're locking this down, aren't they? That amazes me. It wasn't just, oh, yeah, we're going to do it, and then you forget about it. No, they're doing it. They're actually shutting it down on the third day in power.
Starting point is 00:48:01 It's amazing. I really am impressed on this. He's getting it done. The country's changing. Now we get back to the Wall Street Journal. Anxious federal workforce bids goodbye to job stability and remote work. Comes down to, you know, bottom line is the federal employees, they don't know what to do with a chief executive officer who's acting like a chief executive officer.
Starting point is 00:48:28 Well, they better show up to work. Exactly. They haven't been to work since COVID. I'm seeing numbers up to 90% of the federal workforce has been working from home. 90%, even if it's 50%. Let's say it's 50%. Imagine if 50% of our office, Rick, was working from home. No.
Starting point is 00:48:50 When you have an office to work in. When you have a place to work in. And COVID ended in 2021? Yeah, I realize that there are instances where you have to have a remote worker. Okay. But not 90% of the time. They quote a 43-year-old federal employee, Michael Gibbons. He says, it's leaving a lot of uncertainty that folks have never really had to feel.
Starting point is 00:49:22 It seems like there is a level of distrust with how things are working. Do you mean, Michael, you're going to have to live like the rest of us? Right. You're actually going to have to work and be held accountable, be accountable and actually perform your duties. There's no insecurity there. Just do your job. I think we're going to find out real quick how much work was not getting done. Isn't that always the case?
Starting point is 00:49:49 It's just probably good for us that they weren't doing anything. I'm not sure. I hadn't thought about that. They weren't hurting anything if they were just being plain crazy. But see, what Mr. Trump is doing here by cracking down on them, saying you must show up for work now, which is what Elon Musk did at Twitter. Yes. And what did Elon Musk do?
Starting point is 00:50:09 He fired. Yeah. What, 80% of the Twitter work? And guess what? Twitter kept working. Yeah. It's better now than ever. Right.
Starting point is 00:50:17 So he either fired people or people quit. What the Trump administration is counting on is that these people will quit. And then you either fill their jobs with Republicans or you don't fill the job at all. And it's force reduction. So they're counting on them quitting and opening up those positions.
Starting point is 00:50:42 Newsweek, Donald Trump's approval rating breaks records. It's the third day in office. Where am I at? I'm way over. I'm sorry. I'm up at, I'm jumping all over here. I apologize, Lee.
Starting point is 00:51:02 Let's go down to 16. This is Wall Street Journal. Trump pushes for early renegotiation of U.S. trade deal with Mexico and Canada. I told you it was coming. Yes. This was the old NAFTA treaty, which he then renegotiated. Right. And now he's going to renegotiate it again.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Yes. This could be how he brings Canada and Mexico into the United States. But if it's through this treaty, it's basically George W. Bush's North America Union.
Starting point is 00:51:36 Yes. Don't rule it out, folks. That we merge with Canada and Mexico and Mr. Trump will sell it as we took it over. We MAGA-ized them, all right? We conquered them. We conquered them, but it says that they're going to reopen the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement called the USMCA.
Starting point is 00:52:07 Now, mind you, it was his administration that came up with the USMCA. Remember, Jared Kushner was the driving force behind that. So now they're saying we have to tighten it up, got to improve it. Trudeau, Justin Trudeau, threatening, saying all options are on the table of what he's going to do. Let's watch. President Trump said that he wants to usher in a golden age for the United States. That will require more steel and aluminum, more critical minerals, more reliable and affordable energy, more of everything to run the US economy full steam ahead.
Starting point is 00:52:49 Canada has all those resources. The alternative for them would be more resources from Russia, China, or Venezuela. Canada is a safe, secure, and reliable partner in an uncertain world. I just had a crazy thought. Who's the head of state of Canada? Well, really it's the King Charles. Canada is a colony of Great Britain. Yeah. What did they say on Russian television yesterday?
Starting point is 00:53:29 They were going to sink London. Right. He said, I won't be able to get a plaque from London because I haven't taken a water diving sport yet. Okay. If Great Britain disappears. Or the monarchy. If the whole thing disappears. Right.
Starting point is 00:53:48 Where does that leave Canada? They don't have a mother country to go to anymore. Which means they're up for grabs, right? Yeah, technically, yes. They're not their own country. Donald Trump's attitude would be, you're not, you belong to England.
Starting point is 00:54:13 England's gone. You now belong to us. It's going to be a crazy year. A really bizarre year. New York Post, Donald Trump delivers fresh tariff threats against the EU and China. The EU, mind you. Yes, he's going after the European Union. It's just, you talk about a bull in a china shop.
Starting point is 00:54:43 I mean, this guy is just breaking up dishes everywhere. Well, he's not seeking friends, is he? No. No, he's seeking support in America. Right. And that's this next one, Newsweek. Trump's approval ratings breaks records. So for your first three days in office, his approval from the American people is sky high.
Starting point is 00:55:06 Yes. And a shift has occurred among a lot of Democrats. Yes. This has got Democrat leaders in a tizzy right now. Yes. People are liking what he's doing. And if he keeps it up the way he's going, he's going to be more popular. The more popular he is here,
Starting point is 00:55:28 the more powerful he is over there. Yeah, it's like he's taking a hammer to the racial and class divide here in the U.S. And that's been the mainstay for the Democrats now for decades. Democrats don't know what to do. They've lost their edge. They've lost their message. There's still some of them trying to keep the wokeism going. Some of them are still trying to keep the anti-Trump.
Starting point is 00:55:52 It's not working. They don't have another message. They don't know what to say. And they're so desperate, they accuse Elon Musk of doing a Nazi salute. That's about it. The person who's taking the most abuse right now is Pete Hegseth, the nominee for defense secretary. Doc, he's going to be confirmed. I'm confident of that. He'll be confirmed, but the Democrats are going to make sure he's black and blue. Right. They're going to vote for him. They're going to vote for him.
Starting point is 00:56:28 They're going to vote for him, but he's going to have a shiner. They're not going to let him get through the confirmation process without two black eyes and a busted lip. And that's what they're doing now. So here's the Wall Street Journal. Hagseth routinely passed out from alcohol abuse. Witness said, well, the witness was his ex-wife's sister, which is what makes this so damaging.
Starting point is 00:56:58 She said, no, I was in the family. I saw it. He had a habit of drinking so much that he'd pass out at family affairs. She went to the Senate. I think she did this in an affidavit. But it said he once needed to be dragged out of a strip club while in uniform. I don't think that's shocking for U.S. soldiers, right? That's probably not the first soldier in uniform in a strip club, all right?
Starting point is 00:57:35 In a sworn statement at the request of Senator Jack Reed of Rhode Island, the letter signed by Hegseth's former sister-in-law, Danielle Hegseth. It states that she was with Hegseth when he passed out from drunkenness in a bathroom in a bar in Minneapolis. It also describes another night when she said Hegseth drank so much at a restaurant in Minneapolis that the Uber driver had to pull over on I-94 so he could throw up. Now, mind you, there is some backstory on this with Daniel Hegseth. She was the wife of Peter Hegseth's brother, and they went through a pretty nasty divorce. Now, the ex-wife of Pete Hegseth, she has not confirmed these allegations.
Starting point is 00:58:27 Mm-hmm. Okay. She hasn't denied them, but she hasn't confirmed them either. So Senator Jack Reed had to go out and hunt down somebody. Can you say something bad about Pete Hegseth? Well, probably, Doc. There's probably some truth to it. Yeah, and probably his ex-wife has a NDA from the divorce.
Starting point is 00:58:47 It might very well be. She's not going to talk. Senator Elizabeth Warren wants a FBI investigation into Pete Hegseth. Basically, the Democrats are trying to punt right now. Right. They don't know what to do. They have no idea what to do. They just want to push us down the field just a couple yards. Yeah, so here is Senator Elizabeth Warren.
Starting point is 00:59:09 The Senate just received another report that Pete Hegseth has problems with alcohol and abuse that disqualify him to be Secretary of Defense. Look, today we got a sworn statement under penalty of perjury from his former sister-in-law saying that he was erratic, threatening, and caused his then-wife to fear for her safety. And this is not a one-off. Alcohol, assault, harassment, there is a pattern of abuse. It is also clear that the FBI has not done a full investigation. We shouldn't be voting on this nomination this week. We need a full investigation. Americans, and particularly women in the military, deserve an explanation about what's going on.
Starting point is 00:59:59 For crying out loud, he could be the Secretary of Defense, the guy in charge of our entire military. This isn't about politics. This is a matter of national security. Again, she doesn't have anything to put on social media today. They're going to approve Pete Hegseth. He's not my choice. I quite frankly don't think he's qualified to be the Secretary of Defense
Starting point is 01:00:30 because he doesn't have any management experience of a billion dollar company. As I pointed out a couple weeks ago, it's bigger than Walmart. It's bigger than Amazon. But the Deputy Secretary of defense does.
Starting point is 01:00:48 And who is that? That is Steven Feinberg. He's the CEO of Cerebus Capital Management. And that's who's going to run the Pentagon. That's exactly right. So Pete Higgseth is going to be the pretty face up front. And Feinberg. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:02 Feinberg also owns DynCorp, too. DynCorp? Yes. And Feinberg is Irish? Yeah. No, I think Venezuelan by birth. No. We all know who he is.
Starting point is 01:01:16 He's Jewish. Yeah. So he's going to run the Pentagon. That's right. He's one of the defense contractors in the war lobby. So that's who's going to run it. Yes. And that was handpicked by Donald Trump,
Starting point is 01:01:26 by the way. I'll put it like this. APAC handpicked them. I would say that Mary Madison. Get what you pay for.
Starting point is 01:01:42 That's right. Pete Hagseth wants a third temple bill. He's a third temple boy, yes. He likes that red heifer thing and the whole thing. Now, you know, whatever you put on social media can come back to bite you, and what you put on national television can come back to bite you. It certainly will. And so this is a little video from Fox Nation,
Starting point is 01:02:07 which is their subscriber platform. And I'm just going to show you just 20 seconds. I have a feeling if Mr. Higgseth could do that over, he wouldn't do that scene. Because he didn't know back then he was going to be the...
Starting point is 01:02:24 Secured defense. He didn't know that last October, you know. But here it is. Keep going. Keep going. We're good. You got it. Well, thank you guys for making the trip. Cheers to you guys. Cheers to Warriors.
Starting point is 01:02:42 Appreciate you. Thank you, sir. Welcome to a special edition of Modern Warriors, War on Warriors. If you've ever seen the show Modern Warfare on Fox Nation, they do drink a lot on there. They don't produce the show anymore. It's hard to believe it's been nearly 10 years ago since they did that show. But one of the things they did on the show was whiskey tastings. And so, well, I— Not good for his image right now.
Starting point is 01:03:16 No, it's hurting. But I'm of the same opinion as you, Rick. He's going to get confirmed. It'll be a fight. Sure is. There'll be a lot of people throwing dust up in the air, but he'll squeak by because they got the people in place under him that they want. Yes, that's right. That's the distraction.
Starting point is 01:03:35 Always ask, what's the distraction? Well, Pete's the distraction. Yes. And then Mr. Feinberg will run the Pentagon so well, and everybody will say, well, look, what a great job. Pete Hegseth, you know, he's brilliant. Go through the remaining articles pretty quick. I got a video I want to show you. But first, this is a London Telegraph.
Starting point is 01:03:57 Ambrose Evans Prashard, who I'm sure is in Davos right now, because whenever we went, he was always there. He's a writer for The Telegraph. He said the MAGA movement is out to get Elon Musk, and so is China. And according to Evans Prashad, a lot of the insiders in the MAGA movement are fed up with Elon Musk and they want to push him out. And in particular, Steve Bannon. Steve Bannon. Yes. Bannon said some nasty things here about him.
Starting point is 01:04:34 This is a quote from an interview he did in Italy. This is Bannon talking about Elon Musk. He is a truly evil person. His sole objective is to become a trillionaire. He will do anything related to make sure that his companies are protected.
Starting point is 01:04:58 Quite frankly, the people around Trump are tired of it. We've seen peak Elon, his intrusive nature, his lack of understanding of the true issues before, because all of the money he put in, I was prepared to tolerate it. Not any longer. His half-baked ideas are really about the implementation of techno-feudalism
Starting point is 01:05:20 on a global scale. Mr. Bannon went on to say these people are techno-feudalists and it's a dangerous thing. It's going to be a populist nationalist movement that will take them on and break them. Now, this next video, it's kind of odd. I think everybody knows Elon Musk is autistic.
Starting point is 01:05:51 Is his behavior in this video from his autism, or is it something else? You're going to have to be the judge of that. To me, I've never seen it. I'm not making fun of anyone. Yeah, I know not the case. This is a very strange video. Elon Musk there, rolling his head, rolling his eyes. It looks like Hillary Clinton.
Starting point is 01:06:19 That's what Hillary Clinton did in 2016, looking at the balloons. Doc, it was the same behavior. Do you remember how she was just staring? And then she did it at another incident coming out of an event, and she stopped and was glitching like that. Right. I don't know what's going on.
Starting point is 01:06:47 Is it a neurological problem? Is it a software problem? Is it a chemical problem? Right. We don't know. There was odd behavior. Rick, if I started doing this, you'd be thinking I was having a stroke, wouldn't you? I would
Starting point is 01:07:02 think something's wrong with you. Were you weird? I don't know i mean i am weird but not quite that weird no but if especially you're doing it at a presidential inauguration yes right behind the president so okay so the cbs news big story yesterday donald trump announces 500 billion dollars in private sector AI infrastructure investment. Okay, so Biden invested in green energy. Trump is investing. All he's doing is taking the green money and putting it into AI.
Starting point is 01:07:38 Yes. And you got three other billionaires standing there with Donald Trump for a new project called, are you ready for this? Project Stargate. Stargate. There's Larry Ellison at the podium. Yes. Altman over there at the right. Sam Altman, yes.
Starting point is 01:08:02 And Maciaso Son. Of SoftB yes. Yes. And Maciaso Sun. Of SoftBank. Yes. Now, I got a small clip of Larry Ellison talking about what they're going to be able to do with AI. Yes, through Project Stargate. Stargate. Folks, this is amazing. Oh, you're going to be so excited because they're going to make an mRNA vaccine specifically for you using your DNA. It will be your vaccine personalized.
Starting point is 01:08:35 We're not just going to have one vaccine. We're going to have 330 million vaccines. One for every American made with their DNA. I'm not kidding you. Mr. Trump was standing there all happy about it. Okay, here it is. All of our cancers, cancer tumors, little fragments of those tumors float around in your blood. So you can do early cancer detection.
Starting point is 01:09:02 You can do early cancer detection with a blood test. And using AI to look at the blood test, you can find the cancers that are actually seriously threatening the person. So we can, again, cancer diagnosis using AI has the promise of just being a simple blood test. Then beyond that, once we gene sequence that cancer tumor, you can then vaccinate the person, design a vaccine for every individual person to vaccinate them against that cancer. And you can make that vaccine, that mRNA vaccine, you can make that robotically, again, using AI in about 48 hours. So imagine early cancer detection, the development of a cancer vaccine for your particular cancer aimed at you,
Starting point is 01:10:00 and have that vaccine available in 48 hours. This is the promise of AI and the promise of the future. Now, I got a very honest question for our audience out there. This sounds like a great thing, right? But if the Biden administration had proposed this, what would your response have been? Antichrist. Oh, my Lord. Antichrist. They're going to give a vaccine for everybody. But now it's the MAGA vaccine. You would think that the man that created the Trump scenes, all right, Operation Warp Speed in the Pentagon, who pushed through the development of the mRNA vaccines. You would think that talking about vaccines would be the last thing he wants to talk about right now. Yeah, he got booed at rallies.
Starting point is 01:10:49 He got booed. He doesn't care. Because he believes in this stuff. Yes. Do you think he really believes in the stuff or he believes in the deal that was made? Well, it's a deal. $500 billion dollars to his to his new tech buddies yes he's winning the technology technocrats over to him okay and he's
Starting point is 01:11:14 rewarding them with the money but he's going to promote their stuff he's going to promote it i'm not on board with this stuff okay i voted for him but i didn't drink the kool-aid i found a new term today doc i've never heard this before yes i had to read this several times to wrap my brain around it algorithmic propaganda The first time I've ever heard this. I learn stuff every day doing the news, researching. Let's read it. Algorithmic propaganda refers to the use of algorithms, often powered by artificial intelligence, to create and distribute persuasive messages aimed at influencing public opinion on behavior. This type of propaganda leverages data from various sources, such as social media, websites, emails,
Starting point is 01:12:12 to tailor messages to specific audiences based on their preferences, behaviors, and demographics. Let me stop you right there. Just as Larry Elson is going to make vaccines for each individual person, the government and the technology companies can now make propaganda for each person. Yes. The propaganda you get is not going to be the same propaganda I get. That's right. Because they're going to tailor it to the very specific things they know about you. That's what this means. We now have individualized
Starting point is 01:12:52 propaganda. And you're right, Rick, because one of the aspects of algorithmic propaganda is personalization. Algorithms analyze large amounts of data to craft personalized messages that resonate with different groups. It also has real-time adjustments. Campaigns can track the effectiveness of their messages in real-time and adjust them in real-time as needed. And wide reach. AI allows for the rapid dissemination of messages to a broad audience. Now, while algorithmic propaganda can be used for legitimate purposes,
Starting point is 01:13:29 such as political campaigns or public health initiatives. Like vaccines? Yes. It also raises concerns about misinformation and manipulation. Okay, so imagine you're looking at social media, TikTok, Twitter, whatever, X, whatever. And you're scrolling through it, you're scanning through it, and you're looking at social media tiktok twitter whatever x whatever um and you're you're scrolling through it you're scanning through and you're looking at the various messages doc i'm i'm looking at the same social media app and i'm seeing messages different than what you're seeing yes i've observed that in real time so how would i know that you're not
Starting point is 01:14:06 seeing the same thing i'm seeing yes and with the use of bots they can create fake accounts that it looks like somebody out there named you know jacko has published this photo or this video made this comment about a politician and i'm looking at it on social media go oh yeah i agree with that and on your app it's not there right you know why because they're going to do personalized propaganda they're going to appeal to your specific way of thinking man gerbils would be jumping up and down his grave, wouldn't he? He would. Jamie Dimon, he's at Davos.
Starting point is 01:14:52 CNBC. Dimon says the U.S. stock market is kind of inflated. Really? Kind of? When the head of one of the biggest banks in the world says, yeah yeah it's kind of inflated and says it at the world economic forum right and he's a billionaire himself
Starting point is 01:15:12 uh that that's a very subtle hint we're going to let some air out of the stock market balloon. Folks, listen to what I'm saying. He's signaling, we're going to release some air from the balloon. It's kind of overflated, over. It's kind of inflated. It's gotten too big. We have to have a controlled deflation. How much are you invested in the stock market?
Starting point is 01:15:47 You're going to be deflated. I don't know. That's the way I interpret it. We got a little video clip from CME. See, they're at Davos. On the topic of the markets, Becky and I were talking on the broadcast yesterday about an article in the wall street journal that was looking at uh the beginning of presidential
Starting point is 01:16:10 terms and the p.e ratio and we are at historic highs and i wonder whether that factors into your thinking about being cautiously pessimistic about where the market goes in this environment are we priced for perfection yeah you know I think asset prices are kind of inflated. And by any measure, they're top 10% or 15%. I'm talking about the US stock market, but it's not true for stock markets around the world. And they say sovereign debt's priced pretty well. Credit spreads are all all-time highs.
Starting point is 01:16:37 So yeah, they're elevated. They're elevated. And you need fairly good outcomes to justify those prices. And we're all hoping for that. And I think having pro-growth strategies helps make that happen. But there are negatives out there. Negatives out there. Rick?
Starting point is 01:16:54 We know where he's at because we've been to Davos. Right. Okay. We've seen the CNBC set up and everything like that. A little ski village there in Switzerland. What cracks me up is they're seated outside in Switzerland in the wintertime.
Starting point is 01:17:10 They're not wearing coats because they want to look relaxed. And yet, Mr. Diamond has got gloves on. What's the point of the gloves? Did you notice that? I hadn't thought about it, but now that I do.
Starting point is 01:17:27 You're not wearing a coat, but hey, my hands are cold. When you saw the background scene, I said, I've stood there. I've been there. Well, hey, listen, what I want to get across to everybody is I interpret this as a subtle hint that there's going to be a market correction. So if you have your retirement in stocks, it means your retirement fund is going to get a correction. If I'm following this, okay. And that includes your 401K, your 403Bs because they're all stocks. If they're all tied into the stock market, then it means if the stocks are inflated, then that means your retirement investment portfolio is inflated. Right.
Starting point is 01:18:13 And so when the stocks are deflated, so is your retirement. You know what I would think as a solution, a hedge, a way to protect your retirement portfolio, move it into precious metals. I don't see gold and silver dropping. I didn't hear Jamie Dimon say gold's inflated right now. No. In fact, the big banks are saying they're expecting it to go to $3,000 an ounce. Gold will go to 3,000 ounces here. Yeah, it's $2,767 today.
Starting point is 01:18:50 Hey, my recommendation is call GoldCo. Just talk to them. Ask them some questions. They're not going to hog tie you over the phone and make you do anything. Answer your questions. Learn. Get educated about how to put your retirement investment portfolio in precious metals.
Starting point is 01:19:10 And there's the phone number, 844-960-GOLD. You can go directly to the website at truenews4gold.com or just use the QR code that's right there on the screen goco talk to them just ask them questions get the information ask them for the free 2025 gold and silver kit they'll send it to you you'll get it in about two days no charge for the the kit no charge for the shipping all right and it's just there before you're asking if you don't ask them if you don't call them you're not going to get it it's free uh you got nothing to lose just get in touch with them and tell them you're interested in moving all or part
Starting point is 01:19:59 of your retirement portfolio into precious metals and they will explain to you step by step what how it's done and how easy it's done it's goco 844-960 gold all right hey i'm going to wrap it up here quickly here but i got one more thing um it snowed today in florida there's accu weather florida shatters all-time snowfall record all time yes is that like forever well as far as they're as far as records are kept right yes florida got snow today no we didn't hear but at this. This is up in the Panhandle. This is crossing from Georgia into Florida. There you go, folks. Snow in Florida.
Starting point is 01:20:53 Was that I-95? I'm not sure if it was I-95 or not. Okay. But this is scenes, various scenes across the Panhandle. That's at the Gulf, the Gulf of America. America, yes. There's Seaside, Florida. Just numerous scenes.
Starting point is 01:21:09 Snow-covered beaches in Florida. Yes. Who would have imagined it? Now, we get snow every few years in Florida, of course, but not record-breaking snow. Not where the kids are sled riding. That's Seaside, Doc. They're supposed to be on surfboards. That's right. They're sled riding at Seaside. Doc, they're supposed to be on surfboards. That's right.
Starting point is 01:21:25 They're sled riding at Seaside, Florida. I enjoy watching snow from a distance, Rick, not up close and personal. Then we had, I think we have an image of, look at this, look at this. Look at that orange tree. Yes. It's actually a very cool picture, isn't it?
Starting point is 01:21:51 Yes. Oranges and snow. Now, if you're a citrus grower, that is not a nice photograph. They're in a state of shock, you know. Cold temperatures are the death of citrus yeah even the alligators are impressed with this look at that what an unusual picture a gator like what is this stuff never seen anything like it obviously if florida got snow so did georgia right and we'll show you some scenes this is south georgia yes heavy snow in the southern part of the state of Georgia today.
Starting point is 01:22:29 Right. And even up in the Atlanta metro area, this is the scene. Listen, traffic in Atlanta is bad enough just on an ordinary day. You throw snow into the mix. I mean, it just basically is gridlock there. And there was a lot of ice. And of course, it was causing problems at the airport at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. Snow plows at Hartsfield-Jackson. They had a lot of ice also down there. Yes. And that really complicated. But there's again another scene. Snow plows at Atlanta, Hartsfield Airport.
Starting point is 01:23:03 Now, they were also getting snow over in Louisiana. So this is how some folks in Louisiana were dealing with the snow. My favorite, though. My favorite is whatever you got, if you have a boat, you're looking for another legitimate reason to get in your boat. Okay? And this isn't the airboat yet, is it? No, not yet. So I think it's the next video.
Starting point is 01:23:36 Oh, yeah, here we go. Oh, here we go. You even got a soundtrack with it here. Check this out. This guy's in an airboat. Not on the lake, but on the snow as a louisiana um so i don't uh we i don't know if you want to do the report from houston or not but we do have how al gore was reacting to yeah, Al Gore went outside today to check the weather.
Starting point is 01:24:07 He was actually checking on the global warming. Global warming Gore. And froze there in his yard. Look, I am still convinced the world is moving into a mini ice age. Yes. I'm a little off schedule schedule i thought it would be sooner i thought it would be about five years ago but i i still believe that we're on track and something like this when you see record snowfall in the state of florida breaking records right okay uh if you go back to that accu weather uh headline you know they're saying the same thing um record temperatures record low temperatures
Starting point is 01:24:55 across the southern united states i mean that that video out of houston yes i lived in Texas for 10 years. I saw light dusting, light amount of ice, nothing that I never saw snowfall. And Houston is hundreds of miles south of Dallas-Fort Worth. And Houston was getting a pretty substantial snowfall. There it is. Look at this. This is downtown Houston. Last night, yes. And my stepdaughter and her husband live in Austin.
Starting point is 01:25:32 And they had two inches of snow up in Austin, Texas, last night. First time she had ever seen snow. She was delighted. But basically, Austin was locked down. was san antonio so was houston they're not they are not used to this i grew up in the midwest so i've been around snow all my life i'm not that fascinated with it but uh but this is houston texas folks when you have an alligator crawling around the snow all right it's different doc yes um houston should not look like that i think we're moving into the middle the mini ice age and it will last
Starting point is 01:26:14 depending on which scientists you you listen to it will be from i've had some tell me 40 years others said 70 and I had a NASA scientist he's no longer at NASA he's retired now he told me 206 years he was convinced that this was a 206 year cycle where the where the sun goes where where the, you know, planet Earth has these continuous cycles, 206 years of cooling, 206 years of warming. And then we just left the global warming stage. We're in the global cooling stage. But you pointed out a week or two ago about the vapor. Right. Water vapor. out a week or two ago about the uh the the vapor right uh that that water vapor that there's a record there's records from the last many ice age of of mysterious mist and fog appearing appearing
Starting point is 01:27:15 from the ground up from the ground up yes uh normally fog is you know a compression of clouds from the sky but these were uh fogs and vapors that are being generated from the ground just because of the temperature difference between the ground and the air above it. So if you want something interesting to study, study how people lived during the last many ice age. It ended in the early 1800s. It started in the early 1800s. It started in the early 1600s.
Starting point is 01:27:47 You had plagues. You had wars, revolutions, volcanic eruptions, summers without heat. You had snow in summertime. So study history. Some years ago um there was a young man uh here in the united states working with my my son and he was from holland and um i asked him one day i said uh he knew i was studying ice age and i said you're from holland one thing i've read is that there are paintings all over the netherlands of of the ice age why is that
Starting point is 01:28:34 and he goes that is part part of our culture right we we know you we had to survive for hundreds of years in an ice age. And so the paintings are everywhere in our country. It reminds us of our history. Well, Doc, the last ice age ended just, you know, the early 1800s. Right. Benjamin Franklin wrote about it in his diary. Right. There was 1816, a year without a summer.
Starting point is 01:29:06 A year without a summer. That summer was so depressing, Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein. Yes. She was locked up for the summer. That's right. What's scarier than the weather right now? Oh, I know. A monster fabricated from corpses.
Starting point is 01:29:21 That would really scare people. That's right. So learn about the Ice Age. I am convinced we're entering another one. I don't know if it's this year. But when it happens, there's a moment when it's sudden. It's like a flip on the thermostat.
Starting point is 01:29:41 It's like the planet thermostat changes and sudden, complete different weather patterns climate uh and if it's a 200 year cycle folks none of us are going to outlive it it means we're all going to spend the rest of our lives and people are going to be saying i wish we could go back to the good old days of global warming right if it's a 206 year cycle you're not going to be saying i wish we could go back to the good old days of global warming right if it's a 206 year cycle you're not going to see global warming until the 2200s learn about it all right and be prepared for it we got to go we'll see you tomorrow. Take care. Attention, True News family.

Starting point is 01:32:14 and we're starting at verse five and so i'm going to pray and then doc i'm going to have doc read um one through um actually i guess it's 1 through 11 isn't it yes the passage is 1 verses 1 through 11 and then we will pick up our study at verse 5 so let's pray
Starting point is 01:32:36 Father God Father we love you and praise you and worship you and magnify you thank you Father for this beautiful day thank you. Thank you, Father, for this beautiful day. Thank you for sending the rain, Father. Thank you for making our world abundant. Father, all good things come from you. So, Father, your sons and daughters are gathered this very moment from many nations to be taught by your holy spirit truth and revelation from your word so we invite the
Starting point is 01:33:15 holy spirit to take his seat at the head of the table and to lead Morning Manna, teaching us, all of us, teachers and students, the great truth about your son and his kingdom. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. If you have your Bibles, and you should have your Bibles, open up to Romans chapter 2. We're going to be reading together verses 1 through 9. I'm reading from the King James this morning. Excuse me, 1 through 11. Reading from the King James this morning. Excuse me, 1 through 11. Reading from the King James this morning,
Starting point is 01:33:46 starting at verse 1. Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest. For wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself, and thou that judgest does the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them
Starting point is 01:34:04 which commit such things. And thinketh thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance. But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasures up thyself wrath against the day of wrath, in revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who were rendered to every man according to his deeds, to them who by patient continuance and well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality eternal life but unto them that are contentious and do not obey the truth but obey unrighteousness
Starting point is 01:34:56 indignation and wrath tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first and also of the Gentile. But glory, honor, and peace to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile. For there is no respect of persons with God. God bless the reading of his word today. Amen. word today amen verse 5 but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasures up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of god hardness of heart we get two words hardness and impended it hardness refers to deliberate
Starting point is 01:35:54 stubborn resistance to God's will and truth I don't understand why. I mean, I can understand people outside of the church having a hard heart. I don't understand people inside the church who claim to be Christians who have a hard heart, who stubbornly resist God's will and truth. And yet, they are there. A hard heart represents a callousness where a person refuses to be softened by God's grace.
Starting point is 01:36:44 They build up a shell on their heart, and they choose defiance, defiance of God over submission. That word submission just drives some people crazy. Yeah. I'll take your salvation, Lord. I'll take your blessings. I'll confess your son, Jesus, but I'm not submitting. And they're in the church.
Starting point is 01:37:14 Yeah. It's give me, give me, give me. Okay. But there's no submission because submission requires surrender. Humility. And humility. And yielding to an invisible God. The authority to run your life.
Starting point is 01:37:41 Right. The second word, impenitent. That means an ongoing refusal to acknowledge guilt and to turn to God in repentance. At the heart of it is pride, self-reliance, a rejection of divine authority, and a rejection
Starting point is 01:38:22 of divine mercy. Even when God gives that person repeated opportunities out of his mercy, repeatedly offers the person another opportunity to develop the right attitude. I have an impenitent heart. Hardness and imp and impediment go together and the more impenitent you are the more you resist uh submitting to his authority the harder your heart becomes so say treasuring up wrath storing stockpiling wrath treasuring up wrath it means the accumulation of divine judgment Each sin that's unrepentant goes into a storehouse of wrath that's awaiting sinners. Yes. Now that'll give you, you get that image in your head.
Starting point is 01:39:48 That'll give you, you get that image in your head, that'll give you an attitude adjustment. But you're storing up wrath against the day of wrath. What an interesting turn of phrase there, Rick. Yes. You're actually, you are helping to determine how much wrath is poured out on you on the day of wrath. How? By the size of your storehouse. What's in the storehouse? Unrepentant sin. So people that have hard, impenitent hearts, resisting God, not repenting, they're storing up wrath for the day of wrath. If you have a humble, contrite heart, you are storing up grace. So each person is
Starting point is 01:40:50 determining what is going into their spiritual storehouse. Right. The day of wrath, we know what this is, the day of the Lord, the judgment day. It's a future moment when God's righteous anger, it will be fully revealed and executed against all unrepentant sinners. It is the ultimate fulfillment of God's justice. There's nothing else after it. After the day of wrath, there's not another day like that.
Starting point is 01:41:32 Nothing. He gets it all out on that day. He empties his system of anger against sin. It's done. Not going to be a pretty picture for people who are on the short end of this one. It speaks of God's perfect justice, His judgments are universally fair, impartial,
Starting point is 01:42:14 always based on truth. The truth is His Word. And His justice is transparent because it's in alignment with His character, which is holy. Yes. You know, it's interesting. This wasn't a new concept that Paul was introducing here about storing up wrath against the day of wrath.
Starting point is 01:42:38 In Proverbs chapter 10, verse 2, it talks about treasures of wickedness profit nothing but righteousness delivereth from death and so paul is making that allusion there to that back to proverbs 10 2 that there are treasures of wicked which has always been an interesting phrase to me now the two make sense don't they yes treasures of wickedness you're storing up treasures of wickedness unrepentant sin and you want to keep that storehouse empty yes when they open that door on your poor house and wrath you want that storage unit to be empty those angels need to hear a big echo hey this place is empty there's nothing in here um so this wrath that's being stored up is not arbitrarily imposed by God on people but
Starting point is 01:43:46 it's the natural consequences of the sinners choices in this life and their persistent rebellion against God and so individuals bear full responsibility for for the consequences of their actions. So each act of rebellion and each refusal to repent compounds the guilt, like interest-bearing. It's interest-bearing judgment. It's compounded interest. It indicates there's a progressive, worsening state of alienation from God.
Starting point is 01:44:40 Right. And that it builds up over time. Yes. Again, if you understand the principles of compound interest, you know how you can take, you know, if you're saving a penny a day, you begin it in your childhood and you invested it in a bank with interest what does that what does it accumulate to by the time you're 70 years old and that's the same way with unrepentant sin and rebellion it goes into that storehouse and it collects interest it's not just and it's just not the sum total of all the unrepentant sins. It's the sum total
Starting point is 01:45:28 of the unrepentant sins with compounded interest. Yes. It's worse. So, when people refuse to repent, when they spurn God's grace, his kindness,
Starting point is 01:45:51 his long suffering, their rejection increases their culpability and it intensifies the severity of the judgment they're going to face on the day of judgment right if you're thinking that these these people that make up the bible as they go they don't study the bible they make it up as they go i mean they're in church they don't study the Word of God but but they'll
Starting point is 01:46:26 tell you what the Word of God says they don't submit to any godly authority they don't submit to sound doctrine and teaching and their attitude is well in judgment day God's merciful and be rude rude awakening for a lot of people that attitude is the opposite of the grace and mercy that Paul described in Romans 2.4. Yes. So the opportunity for repentance is wasted by spiritual stubbornness again I I uh I marvel at people that are just spiritually stubborn I mean you okay they're implacable you You can't reach them. You can't reason with them. I think that's, that's probably says more about it than anything else. You can't reason
Starting point is 01:47:53 with them. You can't have a conversation. You can't, you feel like you're just going around and around and circling a maze. Okay. Kind of like Senator Rand Paul talking to Brian Kilmeade. There you go. Brian, you're lying. That was a frustrating conversation yesterday, wasn't it, Rick? Yeah. And the Senator said, Brian, you're lying.
Starting point is 01:48:26 And then he went and repeated the lie again. Repeated it like two more times. Yes, China. But not China. See, that's the kind of attitude I'm talking about. Right. That's the very kind of attitude we're talking about. You can't get anything
Starting point is 01:48:41 through their head. They've got something in their head and they're not going to budge you can show them all the scriptures usually that kind will not even look at the scriptures it's not like you can show them the scriptures they won't even look at it they already know so
Starting point is 01:49:04 this verse that we're studying verse 5 is emphasizing individual accountability each person is responsible for their spiritual condition you cannot blame it on somebody else and you cannot ride on the coattails of somebody else you can't say it's your family your mom and dad your culture your society you were raised on the other side of the tracks all those excuses go out the window every single one because we all choose wrath we are choosing wrath and it's being stored up to the day of wrath so everyone is without excuse there's no one that has if you will an alibi for their sin that's right so people who persist in sin look we're talking about persisting in sin. I don't want anybody in this class terrified that because you sinned one time or whatever number that you're in danger of losing yourself.
Starting point is 01:50:22 That's not what I'm getting at. We're talking about persistent sin rebellion refusal stubbornness a refusal to repent yes and keep in mind ladies and gentlemen paul was sending this letter to a group of believers in Rome. So obviously there was some issue that was going on in the church. I touched on this yesterday. There was some issue that was going on
Starting point is 01:50:54 in the church that Paul felt compelled by the Holy Spirit to address related to this. That there may have been people sitting in the assembly that were building wrath to the day of wrath. And they needed to hear this message. But the rest of the assembly needed to hear the message too because they needed an understanding.
Starting point is 01:51:19 It seems like the world just keeps getting more wicked and wicked and wicked. And he said, yes, Paul is saying, yes, that's exactly the case. And that's the way it's going to continue. There's not going to be a redemption for the world. There's only going to be that individual redemption that each and every person has. This world is going to go to not even ash. Even the ash itself will be gone. But Paul is addressing this, that among the congregation there,
Starting point is 01:51:49 there may be individuals who are building wrath to the day of wrath. You need to hear this message. It's great compassion on Paul's part and ultimately on God's part to warn those who continue to persist in rebellion against God. Now, whether they receive it or not, you know, but it's our obligation to bring it out there and say, listen, there's a standard that God expects of every man and woman. And there are some that have fallen radically short of that and are persistent in the rebellion against God, and some of them are in the church.
Starting point is 01:52:30 Doc, last night I went to sleep listening. I've kind of transitioned out of the radio shows, and now God has me listening to old sermons. I'm still in the yesteryear, you know. I'm listening to sermons in the 50s and 60s. Man, they preach different than what we hear today. Anyhow, Doc, I listened last night to a man, you know who it is, pastor evangelist the sermon was titled
Starting point is 01:53:10 he died as a fool wow is it harsh oh it was hard he told the true story now again this uh this was probably recorded in the early 60s. And this was an evangelist who traveled the nation and the world with a massive tent. And he was preaching that night. I don't know. I don't remember the city. He was preaching that night about giving up on persistent sins in your life. He was warning the audience. You know, he's talking to them.
Starting point is 01:53:59 There's a day of wrath coming. He was preaching a hard, hard message about judgment. And a man stood up and turned around to walk out. Wow. In the service? In the service. And as that man got near the perimeter of the tent, this evangelist shouted out,
Starting point is 01:54:31 sir, if you walk out of this tent, if you cross that line, you are going to suffer a great judgment. You will die as a fool. He told him that. You will die as a fool he told him that you will die as a fool if you walk out of this tent right now without repenting you will suffer a great judgment
Starting point is 01:54:56 you will die as a fool the man continued walking a week later he was in another city moved his tent to another city and the wife of that man came to see him and she said do you remember him he goes yes and the first thing he said was what happened to your husband she said how do you know something happened? I knew the night he walked out. I knew. Tell me, what happened?
Starting point is 01:55:35 She said, he went back to running with his old friends in the bars. And 10 days after he walked out of your meeting, he got stabbed to death. Oh, my goodness he said what well that preacher was telling that man you're going to die as a fool your storehouse is full right now yes treasures of wickedness you're sitting in this meeting he was saying to that man you're sitting in this meeting. He was saying to that man, you're sitting in this meeting watching miracles, watching signs and wonders. You're hearing the word and you're resisting it. And then you stood up and turned
Starting point is 01:56:11 your back on me and the Lord and you're walking out. It was the last time that man could walk out. See, he was walking out on the Lord. Yeah, he wasn't walking out on the preacher. No, he's walking out on the preacher. No, he's walking out on the Lord. The preacher was delivering the Lord's message.
Starting point is 01:56:36 Well, that line, die as a fool. It happens every day. Every day, people, as you and I are doing this lesson, I don't know what the number is worldwide. Do you know in the hour that we're doing this lesson, do you know how many people will die worldwide in this hour? Every minute, every minute people are leaving this world and most of them are leaving lost. Yes. Dropping off that precipice into eternity.
Starting point is 01:57:24 One after the other, every second, again and again. There's another one and another one. So the day of wrath, judgment day, it is an inevitable event. It will happen. It's delayed, and yet it's certain God delays it not due to indifference not because he's got other things to do but it's to give people more time to repent.
Starting point is 01:58:14 So I was just thinking, dog, you know, say, okay, so God extends judgment to allow people to repent. A generation is 70 to 80 years. God has people born. He deals with them for 70, 80 years.
Starting point is 01:58:38 He postponed judgment during their lifetime. Judgment of mankind. Not just judgment on them. Judgment of mankind not just judgment on them judgment of mankind yes for specific individuals he did he delays universal global judgment for individuals individuals, individuals by the billions. And then when that generation has reached its length, God in his mercy is looking at another group of babies saying, I'm not going to have the day of judgment yet.
Starting point is 01:59:25 I'm going to give them a chance. I'm going to give this group a chance. And this is why judgment has been delayed. There's a point where he cuts it off. There is a point where on the day of judgment, mercy and grace comes to an end. No more grace, no more mercy. Done.
Starting point is 02:00:00 And wherever you are at that moment, that's where you are frozen for eternity. It happened in the days of Noah. People got up that morning. They were going to do their normal thing. Yep. They had no idea they were going to be dead by night. Then the rains came. And the fountains of the deep opened up in the ground.
Starting point is 02:00:24 Yes. See, most people know about the rain for 40 days. Most Christians don't know that the earth's crust split open. Yes, it was not only raining from the sky, it was raining from the ground. From the ground. The water from inside the earth came up. The rivers, the vast lakes and rivers flowing beneath the earth, the surface of the earth split open and the rivers of the deep,
Starting point is 02:01:00 the fountains of the deep came up. So God's judgment is always based on truth it's impartial it's righteous because it reflects his holy nature that's unchanging and that means every action and motive of humans will be judged fairly and accurately. Nobody will get a break. Yes. Everything will be done according to the law. Okay. The great thing is if you are in Christ, you have fulfilled the law.
Starting point is 02:01:44 Yes. Your wrath, Torhouse, has been cleaned out. Yes. So, again, just to recap, the spiritual hardness, it's not accidental. It's deliberate it's active resistance to god's law god's mercy his grace the holy spirit it comes from a deep-seated defiance a resistance a rejection of god's. At the heart of it is rebellion. Rebellion and stubbornness.
Starting point is 02:02:35 So, the verse is a rebuke to people who presume, they presume upon God's patience they mistake his delay in judgment of mankind as tolerance for their sin and all that does is leads to greater accountability on the day of wrath. Because they were presumptuous. They assumed on the day of wrath, God will not do what he said he was going to do. Verse 6. Who will render to every man according to his deeds
Starting point is 02:03:27 God is nothing if not fair he's fair don't you want a fair father a fair God a fair judge he's fair so Romans 2 6 establishes a central principle of divine justice God will judge every individual according to their deeds
Starting point is 02:04:02 across the board universally there's fairness impartiality consistency in his judgments the phrase to every man it speaks it speaks of the universal scope of god's justice it means his laws apply to all humanity Jews and Gentiles every race every tribe every nation every financial class everybody will be so genuine faith just naturally produces good works and our deeds are are the outward manifestation of our inward character. So, God's looking, he's looking at the heart, but he's also judging the deeds. The deeds represent the heart. So if you live righteously, you have the assurance that your good works will not go unnoticed. Yes.
Starting point is 02:05:35 That God's perfect sense of justice will reward your faithfulness but for those who persist in sin and rebellion this verse is a warning of the certainty of divine retribution because nobody can escape the accountability for their actions I mean, we all know. We don't have to go into a teaching on it. Works, deeds are not a means to earn salvation. They are evidence of salvation. your good works are the evidence that God
Starting point is 02:06:29 that Christ is inside of you it doesn't lead you to salvation you can't be saved by good works is what I'm trying to say so God in his perfect knowledge ensures that his judgment is based on absolute truth and reflects the reality of each person's actions, motives, their character. you know we all know people that belong to very formal ritualistic churches and there's nothing wrong with a formal ritualistic church there's nothing wrong with that what's wrong is the assumption that your participation in a formal ritual will save you
Starting point is 02:07:37 i've been to formal ritualistic churches and some of them are beautiful. The service is beautiful. But if you think that because you attend and you participate in it, that that is the basis of your salvation, then you've deceived yourself. And so what Romans is teaching us is that people who rely on their religious identity, on denominational rituals, while neglecting genuine faith and righteousness, will not escape divine judgment. Yeah, you'd be doing the exact same thing
Starting point is 02:08:26 that the Jewish people of old did. They went through the rituals, they went through the sacrifices, but their hearts were evil. Their hearts had no compassion, had no love, had no real sense of a relationship with a heavenly father.
Starting point is 02:08:44 And so it's no different just as they were condemned in their sin because of lack of faith. Our lack of faith or our faith in our deeds, which is like a paper straw in a fire, you know, amount for nothing. So it's easy to fall in the trap, and it doesn't have to be a formal church either. I, you know, I grew up, you know, when I came to know the Lord, I was, you know, exposed early on to Pentecostal churches, and some of them have formalities and rituals that, you know, that they hold to as salvation sins.
Starting point is 02:09:27 And so you have to do those things. But Paul just condemns this out of hand. It's nothing that we've done, but our sins do count against us. We will be held accountable for our sins, every single one, every single one that that should cause fear and dread in the heart of every unbeliever knowing that they will one day have to give account for every single deed done in flesh yes i think uh Doc, and I always, I think it's Jeremiah. I think it's Jeremiah 7. Jews who said he said to them you go into you go into the temple and you
Starting point is 02:10:27 shout the temple of the Lord the temple of the Lord the temple of the Lord and then you leave the temple and you go to do the sins of Satan and he said you your temple attendance is not going to save you they thought because they were very um devout in going to the temple at the right times and saying the right words going through all the rituals they thought that's all they had to do jeremiah 74 but they were still living like the devil isn't that like people in modern churches they go into the church on sunday the church of the lord the church of the lord the church of the lord and they leave the church and they go back to their sins no different
Starting point is 02:11:31 um that's when jeremiah told him he gave him a travel tip he said uh hey i got an idea for you. Take a little trip. Why don't you take a little ride down to Shiloh? Look around. Tell me what you see. Well, all the Jews there knew there was nothing in Shiloh but ruins. Because Shiloh was the original Jerusalem. Right. because Shiloh was the original Jerusalem right it was the original city
Starting point is 02:12:09 that was the place where the Lord presence was dwelt yes if I remember what I did in Shiloh I'm going to do the temple of the Lord and God destroyed Shiloh
Starting point is 02:12:24 yes laid waste to it so he said I'm going to do the temple of the Lord. And God destroyed Shiloh. Yes. Laid waste to it. He did. He said, go on down to Shiloh and look around. Take a day trip. Take the kids. Pack them up. And then come back and tell me what you found in Shiloh.
Starting point is 02:12:41 So the rendering, this verse speaks of the rendering. The rendering is speaking of the day of justice, the day of judgment. Every deed, good or bad, will be rendered. You will be held accountable on that day. There's a rendering, a reckoning. It's to say God balances his books. You know, he has perfectly balanced books. The best
Starting point is 02:13:22 accountant you've ever seen. You want to make sure that sin column that they are erasing every day he racy racy racy race how do you race it repent when you repent there's an eraser you want that sin column to be empty you want that good deed column to be full god will balance his books and we're we're adding to that um ledger every day with our words our actions our deeds our motives we're adding to that ledger and on the day of judgment he he is the perfect cpa he's going to look at everything and and pass judgment the message that we're getting here is that each individual is accountable for his or her action
Starting point is 02:14:35 and none of us will get a pass we have to live in alignment with God's word, his will, his plan, his truth. Because every decision, every word, everything that we're doing that's outside of his will stacks up. It's stored in a storehouse for the day of judgment any any image I want you to take away from today's lesson it's warehouses there's a warehouse with your name on it what's into it you and you alone determine what goes into that warehouse so Paul is driving home his message of the universality of sin the necessity of salvation through faith in Christ that our deeds reveal the reality of a person's faith and that makes that's the basis for God's righteous and impartial judgment that's essence of what we're studying here verse 7 to them who by patient continuance in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality eternal life
Starting point is 02:16:19 patient in continuance is speaking of the steadfastness, the persistence in living righteously. Yes. It doesn't mean that you don't make a mistake. You don't fail sometimes. You fall short. The emphasis is it is your determined will to live righteously. You know, if you're a runner and you're in a race and you're running, you're determined you're going to win that race.
Starting point is 02:16:59 Okay, if you fall down a couple times and skin your knees and elbows you get back up and you're still going you don't you don't beat yourself up because you fell you get back up and you go when you fall you you get back up by repenting you stay in this patient continuance, the walk of faith, you're headed to the finish line. The finish line is the end of your life on earth. And you are steadfastly persistent in living right for God. You have an unwavering commitment to god's will
Starting point is 02:17:51 you've got a unwavering commitment to moral excellence and you keep it despite challenges setbacks opposition delay whatever you know when you're seriously involved in God's work the more serious pain and trouble you will experience and you have to make a decision none of this is going to stop me none of us going to deter me because the opposition the pain that satan applies to you is to get you to quit. Yes. To quit obeying God, quit doing his will. And so you come to a place where you,
Starting point is 02:18:55 you crawl in your own mind and your spirit, you cross a line where you say the pain doesn't matter anymore. The hardships don't matter anymore. The opposition doesn't matter anymore the opposition doesn't matter anymore i'm going to the finish line i'm going to get it done and i wish this these things weren't happening to me but they are but i'm going ahead the enemy would say stop what you're doing and deal with these problems but the spirit of lord says keep going amen if your heart is clean if your conscience is clean you just keep going the lord will deal with your enemies. The Lord will spend large amount of time trying to stop somebody from obeying the Lord yeah
Starting point is 02:20:17 and yes they're out there they are out there um glory so we get perseverance and well doing patient continuance now we get glory honor and immortality the glory speaks of divine approval
Starting point is 02:20:43 yes not our own glory. Not your glory, but God's approval of your life. And your participation in God's divine nature. Honor speaks of God's acknowledgement of your integrity and faithfulness. What did God say to Satan about Job? Consider my servant, Job. Consider my servant. Consider my servant.
Starting point is 02:21:27 God had high respect for Job. Satan said, I bet I can make him cuss you. Well, of course he worships you. You do nothing but bless him. Yeah, that's what the devil said. Well, yeah, yeah, he worships you you do nothing but blessing yeah that's what the devil said well yeah yeah he worships you because you just pour out blessings on him of course i bet if i took him away he'll cuss you have you not placed a hedge around him
Starting point is 02:21:58 have you not protected him you you continue to bless the work of his hands. His possessions increase. But then Satan says, but you just stretch out your hand and strike all that he has. And he'll curse you. Yes. And that's what Satan seeks to do with every one of us, doesn't he? Yes. God, go ahead give him some trouble in his life and he'll curse you straight to your face and the lord allowed satan to to uh persecute
Starting point is 02:22:39 joe but he drew a line said you can't kill him you can't kill him and Job didn't didn't turn against Job's wife said why don't you just curse God and die well that's some great advice isn't it but in her defense she had lost all of her kids. True. Yeah. So she's a grieving mother. Probably looking at Job and saying, this is your fault, buddy. You did something.
Starting point is 02:23:20 And that's what his friends were saying. That's right. Oh, Job, you've got a hidden sin in your life. No. saying that's right oh joe joe you've got a you've got a hidden sin in your life no satan was attacking him to prove to god that he could make joe cursing um all right so we got glory honor immortality immortality eternal incorruptible life with no decay no sin no death eternal immortality so immortality eternal life is the culmination of a life lived in faithful obedience and persistent righteousness promised by God to those who endure in their commitment to him that's the reward the reward for faithful obedience and persistent righteousness. Endurance.
Starting point is 02:24:34 Not a life free of mistakes and failings and whatever. It's a life of faithful obedience and persistent righteousness. And the reward is eternal life um what time I guess what about seven minutes yeah yeah we'll pick up verse eight tomorrow so we'll get in we'll do the last 8, 9, 10, 11, get four verses tomorrow. We'll pick those up tomorrow. Okay. All right. All right. So praise the Lord.
Starting point is 02:25:12 Well, we appreciate you joining us today for Morning Man. I hope you learned some good stuff today. There's going to be an accounting. I've heard those sermons I don't know how many times. There'll be a payday someday. And there's going to be an accounting. For the righteous, that accounting is going to be for reward.
Starting point is 02:25:34 But for the unrighteous, those that have continued in the rebellion against God without repentance, there is going to be an accounting for the deeds done in the flesh. And God in His justice and in His fairness, will judge accordingly. And what's going to be the standard?
Starting point is 02:25:51 The Word of God. That's going to be it. Whether you choose to live up to the Word of God. Now, I would pray that there's no one here on our live version or that's listening in, you know, on, you know, on a recorded session that you are in a place where you are separated from God. But I would say to you, if this is the place, you are hearing the word of God right now. God is allowing the word of God to be preached to you in this moment of time, his grace and mercy and I would
Starting point is 02:26:26 pray that you would respond to his call from his word today God brought you here for a reason he brought you here for a purpose and that is to acknowledge him and to pursue him I would just encourage you repent of the things the deeds that you've done in the flesh. Confess Christ as Lord and Savior. Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead. And the Bible says you shall be saved. How tragic it would be to have 400 people on our morning man and Bible study,
Starting point is 02:27:00 and there would be another one dropping off into eternity. That would be tragic, Rick. So encourage everyone, search your hearts today. Let there be no wicked way found in us. Amen. All right. Well, we've made it halfway through the week here. I want to remind you a couple things.
