The word apocalypse is misunderstood in modern society. Hollywood films and newspapers and TV news networks improperly use the word to describe catastrophic destruction. For example, after a powerful hurricane such as Hurricane Ida strikes a city, news reports will say that the destruction was apocalyptic.

Apocalypse does not mean catastrophic destruction. It means an unveiling, a revelation. Thus, the last book of the Bible is the book of the revelation of Jesus Christ. St. John was told in the vision that Satan would impose on all humans a tyrannical economic system that requires a mark in each person's hand or forehead. Without the mark, it will be impossible to conduct business. Unmarked people will not be permitted to buy or sell items or services. Therefore, the mark will be the physical proof that each person has submitted to the global satanic system.

Now, True News was one of the first news sources in the world to report on the outbreak of coronavirus. Our first report was in early January 2020. And until now, I have been cautious not to overstate my concern about the fanatical drive around the world to vaccinate every human being. I am no longer guarding my words. I now believe the vaccine mandates are indeed the first installment of a global Mark of the Beast system operated by Lucifer. We will find out one of two things in the near future. Option one, this is the prophesied Mark of the beast economic system and it cannot be stopped. Option two, it's a trial run of the system and it can be stopped by unrelenting opposition, even unto death. I want you to read the headline published by the state funded Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

The Victorian premier says the state is heading for a vaccine economy. Now, the premier, like a state governor in the USA, is Mr. Daniel Andrews. Doc Burkhardt is here with me to discuss the scheme to force everybody to be vaccinated to buy and sell. Hey, Rick. Doc, it's getting serious. Yes, and as we were kind of discussing before the program began today, the acceleration of events taking place around the world has just been overwhelming. But one area in particular in the world that seems to be adapting to this new vaccine economy very quickly is Australia. It's basically gone from a Western nation to the world's largest prison in just a matter of months.

Yes. Being led by a Christian prime minister. Right. Associated with Hillsong Church. Yes. Being led by a Christian prime minister. Right. Associated with Hillsong Church. Yes. So that has not helped Australia to avoid the direction that it's going in. No. It just shows you that Christians themselves will be in positions of authority and help implement whatever the system is that's taking place. The Bible calls them tares.

Right. They're tares. They're not Christians. They're tares. And under his government, Australia has built COVID concentration camps. Yes. Now, you can call them whatever you want to call them, but that's exactly what they are. They call them wellness camps.

Yes. But they're COVID concentration camps. They're for parking the unvaccinated until they submit. Let's put that ABC headline. This is, again, Australia Broadcasting Corporation, Victorian premier. This is the province, the state of Victoria. The premier, the governor, says that the state is heading for a vaccine economy. Now, Doc is going to read to you the first two or three paragraphs from that news article.

So Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has sent a clear message as to what the future of the economy looks like in the state of Victoria, saying proof of double vaccination will now be the price of entry. There's going to be a vaccinated economy and you get to participate in that if you are vaccinated, Mr. Andrews said. We're going to move to a situation where to protect the health system, we are going to lock out people who are not vaccinated and can be, Mr. Andrews said. The government says it is in the process of developing an industry pilot program to trial the viability of a vaccine economy where more events, facilities, and services are open to people who have received two doses of a COVID-19

vaccine. So just in that quote alone there, Rick, two things are happening. They're going to lock you out of the economy where you'll neither be able to buy nor sell unless you're double vaccinated. And they're going to lock you out of the health system too, Rick. That's right. So as Mr. Andrews talks about locking people out, I would say that the good people of Victoria need to lock him up. And I'm very serious. You're running out of time to resist this system. He needs to be locked up. There needs to be an uprising in Australia and you need to lock up every politician. I don't care if you got to build a cell, a prison in your backyard.

Lock up these people. Well, they're building camps and prisons for the unvaccinated. That's right. For sure. They're getting no opposition. I mean, little opposition. So this is a lay down. They're just looking at this and people really aren't going to stop us.

Let's go for it. Let's go for the whole thing. When he talks about locking people out, the people need to talk about locking him up. And these people are not facing any serious organized opposition. You're running out of time to stop them. And don't think just because it's happening in Australia, it won't happen here. It seems to be that whatever's happening in Australia, we've got about three to five months before it starts showing up here. Well, don't there's a lot of Christians in Australia. Yes. A lot of Christians, a lot of churches. And the mark of the beast system is being rolled out in Australia. I'm going to call it what it is. It is a mark. I've up until now, I have not said it. I've said it

could be. I'm now saying it. It is the mark of the beast. This is it. This is the system. They're rolling it out. When they tell me, we're going to put something in your body, and if you don't let us do it, you can't buy and sell. That's the mark of the beast. Okay.

What else can you say? My position is I will resist unto death. I will not submit to it. And I will not be quiet. And I will fight you with everything I have because there's nothing else left. There's nothing left. Right. You're going into a total global Luciferian tyrannical nightmare.

Where even the church is deceived on it. Yes. I mean, they've basically done a lay down in Australia, like you said. Not everybody. Not everybody in Australia. 2,500 church leaders signed a declaration urging Australia's prime minister, not the Victorian premier, but the prime minister of the country, to not support vaccine passports. Well, that's good news, isn't it?

It is. Have we seen this here in the USA? Not really. We really haven't, have we? This is it right here, Doc. It's called the Ezekiel Declaration. And they warn that a vaccine passport will create a medical apartheid society. And they're exactly right.

That's exactly what it's doing. It's creating two classes of citizens in Australia. And it's going to do the same thing everywhere in the world. At least the church in Australia, a few members of the church seem to be speaking up. They make it clear we're praying for those that are in authority. However, this is basically enslavement. This is a division of society. And, Doc, they're also stating that the vaccine mandate will also prohibit people, prohibit unvaccinated people from going to church. Yes. The state is going to come into the church. This is in Australia.

Absolutely. And tell pastors you cannot allow unvaccinated people to come into this church. It's already happening now in Australia. Here's a news report from Australia to prove you prove this to you. And if you are not vaccinated, be prepared to be basically in lockdown until Christmas in mid-October. When we hit 70 percent double dose visitors to households, if everyone is vaccinated with caps will be okay pubs and restaurants will reopen for vaccinated customers with the four square meter rule to apply hairdressers and barbers will open again only if you've had both jabs now vaccinated services in our places of worship with four square meter capacity limits as well as funerals and weddings with caps. Now, sporting crowds will return again, too, with capacity limits and only if you're vaccinated.

The roadmap has not been signed off on yet, but this is the plan that's being worked on and it's likely to be announced this week. The proof on the Service NSW app will be critical. What's interesting is I've been told there's not even been a discussion in Crisis Cabinet on when unvaccinated people can do any of this, Peter. So in that news report, if you saw that third item down on the list, vaccinated services for places of worship, and even in those places of worship, you're only allowed a certain amount of space around you as well. And so this is definitely an intrusion of a government into the church based on vaccine status.

The church has no other option other than to resist. You can't allow godless state officials to tell churches how they can run their churches. You can't allow it. End of discussion. Right. End of discussion. End of discussion. If they come in and lock you up, that's the price you pay. If they shoot you, that's the price you pay. Somewhere you have to take a stand. They didn't do it in Canada. The Canadian Christians bowed down to the state and allowed the state to confiscate church property. Yes, they have done exactly that.

And I think the Australians probably will do the same. And I know the Americans will do it. Yes. I don't see any fight inside these Christians in America. But there will be some because there's one sitting right here all right there's gonna be one that's going to fight i'm not going to submit to this tyranny i will resist even to my death i will resist the vaccine mandates which are the mark of the beast system. They're proving it to me now. Yes. I waited. I waited for them to take their mask off and show me Satan's face.

It's ironic. They by putting a mask on, they've taken their mask off. They want you to wear a mask, but their mask has come off. Yes. And they've got the face of Satan. They're doing the work of the devil. And if you're a Christian in Australia, you have to resist it. You don't have an option. You have to resist it. Wherever you are, you have to resisted. This is, this, we truly are witnessing the rollout of the global Mark of the Beast system. It's actually happening in real time in front of us. I've never said it in the 22 year history

of this ministry. I have never said it. I am now saying it. They're rolling it out now. This is it. I mean, they're coming right out and saying you won't be able to buy or sell unless you've been jabbed. And so I'm a conspiracy theorist for believing, oh, that might be the mark of the beast. And no, that's what the Bible says it is. And it was just six months ago where they said, well, vaccine passports, they won't be required. I mean, everywhere from Boris Johnson, UK, Scott Morrison, Australia said the same thing, too. It's, oh, no, no, no. We're not going to have vaccine passports.

And yet, this is where we're at right now. And if you receive the mark of the beast, you lose your salvation. You lose your soul. You're damned to hell forever. Period. End of discussion. There's no appeal process. I mean, you receive the mark of the beast. There is no appeal.

You can't stand before God and say, well, I was going to lose my job if I didn't get vaccinated. That's not going to fly. Revelation's very clear on that, Rick. And there are preachers today who are saying, there are popular preachers today who are saying you can take the mark of the beast and still. And repent of it. Yes.

Those are rapture preachers. Where's the rapture? Where's the secret rapture? Where is it? Should have been gone. Should have been years ago. But where is it? They don't even preach the rapture. They're so, they're so worried about what's going on. They don't even go out here. You don't even hear the sermons anymore about the rapture because they know people would laugh at them yet. They won't the rapture preachers will not renounce the doctrine that they taught for years. Well, I'm putting it on record. We're witnessing the roll

out of the mark of the beast system. How much time do we have? I don't know. I just, I don't know. But nation after nation are bending to this system. I am, Doc, surprised how fast it's happening now. I mean, a year ago, we were warning about the vaccine passports. A year ago. But we were guaranteed there's not going to be a vaccine passport. I mean, it was only when Bill Gates

was talking about it. Remember those programs we did? We said, hey, folks, you better resist this idea. If Gates gets away with this, this is going to be global tyranny. Well, they're now doing it. Yes. And we were conspiracy theorists last year. No, we were foretelling the truth.

That's right. Just a year in advance. So more information is coming out about the origins of coronavirus, Rick. This is an article from The Intercept. They filed a FOIA request, and in their request, they were able to gain access to about 900 pages of new documents outlining a trove of new information regarding the relationship between the U.S. government and the Wuhan lab, including, and this is why nothing shocks me anymore, Rick, but including two previously unknown grants that had been issued to Equal Health Alliance that was to be used directly in the study of bat coronavirus and gain of function research in the Wuhan lab. So this really this is a shocking article here. But once again, the more truth comes out, the more people seem to

In fact, in this article, we have this quote here. This forum is and there's a forum being held at the United Nations. Right. About World War II.

Yes, and trying to redo the whole aspect of World War II. It said, this forum is devoted to the December 1949 Kavarovsk trial against a group of Japanese military personnel guilty of creating chemical and bacteriological weapons, along with testing them on living people, the Russian foreign minister went on to say. The archival materials presented at the exhibition clearly indicate the role of our country's foreign ministry in organizing the Khabarovsk trial. The Russian diplomats effectively explained to the Allied powers the reason why this trial was necessary. The main one was that the crimes of Unit 731 and others in Japan's combat forces who engaged in inhuman experiments on prisoners of war had not been sufficiently reflected in the 4648 Tokyo Tribunal's materials, Lavrov noted.

What is he trying to say there, Rick, that there he's making a connection between what's happening with covid and that's what I think so. The Amazon founder is funding a new age reversal company in the UK. And this is really a fascinating article here. Isn't this old news? Well, in a way.

It's a pun. This is a pun there. It's old news. Okay. He had started a, well, he'd been backing money up to a group called Altos Labs. And what they're trying to do right now, Rick, is to develop what they call biological reprogramming technology. That's what they're calling it, biological reprogramming technology, a way to rejuvenate cells that some scientists think could be extended to revitalize entire animal bodies.

Now, think about that. Revitalize entire animal bodies and ultimately prolonging human life. Let me guess here. These psychopaths are running a global genocide campaign right now. Right. To wipe out most of the population of the world. Because they say the world's overpopulated. Yes, but they're going to depopulate it with COVID vaccines over the next five years,

while at the same time, they conduct research into reversing the aging process so that they can live forever. So a handful of demented psychopaths will have the entire planet to themselves and live for centuries. Isn't that what the plan is? That's what they want. They want to depopulate the earth, but what's left, they want to extend that life as long as possible. Of course, the elite will be the ones that will extend that life as long as possible of course the elite will be the ones that will have that life extension the article went on to say reprogramming is still too dangerous to try on humans because in addition to making cells act younger Rick it changes their identity think about that for example turning a

skin cell into a stem cell okay Okay. So they could actually, for instance, manipulate a cell if they wanted to, to perform different functions like- So eventually they become a different creature. That was, when I read that, I said, they're planning on resurrecting bodies as well. They're going to reimagine creation.

Yes. They're going to redo all of creation. That's Satan's plan. Yes. He's going to kill off everything God made, and then he's going to make new creatures in laboratories. Yes. That's the plan.

I mean, this is wicked. It's diabolical. It is creatures that aren't human. And if they're not human, can they be saved? No. Because Christ died for mankind. That's right. Jesus, one of the things in the book of the Revelation, the Apocalypse,

it says that Jesus returns to destroy those who destroy his earth. Yes. You're getting a dose of what they're doing right now. They're destroying his creation. He is the ultimate environmentalist. And he's going to come back to whack the people who messed up his creation. We've not talked about economics for a long time, but I do want to give our viewers a heads up. There is a potential Lehman Brothers debacle coming. Lehman, Lehman, Lehman. We'll go with that.

Well, where I grew up, the name was pronounced Lehman, but it's actually Lehman. Well, I had a neighbor, and we always called him Mr. Lehman, and it was spelled the same way. So I guess I'm stuck. And he was a farmer, right? Right. Mr. Lehman. It was spelled the same way. And he was a farmer, right? The farmers, if they were a farmer and they had the same they had that spelling of the name, they were Lehmans. But if they were New York

bankers, they're Lehmans. So anyhow, sometimes I say Lehmans. But it was building is a possible Chinese version of Lehman Brothers of September 2008,

when we had a global banking liquidity crisis. So there is a corporation called Evergrande, and it is the world's biggest commercial developer. Right. And it is going broke very quickly. So quickly that they're even having trouble making payroll, Rick. Former employees, well I guess former because they were just recently let go for the past few days, were actually out in front of the main headquarters of Evergrande

protesting they want their money back. So we have a little clip of that right here. Does that remind you after the fall of Lehman Brothers, the people that were let go that day, just kind of wandering around the streets of New York, wondering where to go, some carrying their boxes with their belongings in it, and just, you know, their pension funds gone, their retirement funds gone, just in hours. Yes, and the entire system almost collapsed.

What we were told later, there was a congressman who said a year or two later that the U.S. Congress was taken into a secret closed door session and told by the administration of George W. Bush that we were hours from martial law. Hours from martial law. And that was the purpose of the TARP bailout. They had to bail out corporations and banks so that there was not a collapse of the economic system. I'm just telling you there is something brewing right now. September, here it is, September.

Lehman Brothers went down in September 2008. The next Lehman Brothers could be Evergrande in China. Why does Evergrande worry you so much, Rick, in particular? I mean, is there something special? Well, simply because of the size of it. What I'm looking to see, and I've not seen any evidence of it yet, but in the coming days, if we start hearing and reading reports that U.S. and European banks have significant financial exposure to Evergrande's

losses, in other words, U.S. banks have either loaned money to them, underwritten, you know, development funds or whatever, you know, in the tunes of billions of dollars, then if Evergrande goes under, you could see banks in the U.S. and Australia, I mean, banks in the U.S. and Europe go under. Now, in the wake of the Lehman Brothers collapse back in 2008, banks had so much invested with Lehman Brothers and holdings with them. That was what resulted in all the bank bailouts, right? That's right. And in particular, you had the risk funds that were going to be called due, the insurance policies. And that's what they were frantically trying to prevent from taking place.

So anyhow, pay attention to it. Crypto went down. Bitcoin had a huge fall today. Right. And on the tail of El Salvador making Bitcoin a legal tender currency. And so you would expect Bitcoin to have gone up today, right? So what's happening, Rick? I don't know. I don't know. It's weird. I was talking to my son about it yesterday, and he was on edge about it.

And he said, Dad, it's sitting right now. It's either going to, we're either going to see a steep climb in Bitcoin or we're going to have another crash. Well, it turned out the crash came about less than 10 hours after he and I had that conversation. Right. Well, sometimes the best way to fix an economic problem is a good old fashioned war. Yes. And so.

When everything's imploding financially, you got to fight somebody. Right. And so here's the article. financially, you got to fight somebody. Right. And so here's the article. Mark Faber said this over the weekend. I have not talked to him for years. I'd like to reach out to him. And I used to interview him quite often. But he said he's a Swiss investor. And he said in an interview over the weekend, the globalists, when they get done milking the coronavirus pandemic for all that they can get out of it, the next thing that they will do is start a war. So we're ramping up toward that. We're ramping up. So, well, China is making its own military extensions known here. Over the weekend, Rick, 19 Chinese military planes intruded into Taiwan's airspace, basically, their area of protection around there.

And why not, Rick? Because the Chinese are probably looking over at Afghanistan and saw how quickly everything fell apart there. Would the U.S. bet the bank on defending Taiwan if China decided they wanted to move in? You got to know what's going through their mind, Rick. Yes. That ADIZ, that's the aerial defense identification zone. And one thing that I saw, I think it was in South China Morning Post today. I hadn't thought about it, but the article said Taiwan government budget shows the stress caused by these continuous Chinese raids into their airspace. Interesting. continuous Chinese raids into their airspace. That the Taiwan government was requesting an increase in its defense budget to cover the cost of these frequent scrambling of jets.

That means they really are not prepared, are they? They're not. Wow. And every time Taiwan's got to send up jets, scramble jets, send them up to chase off the Chinese, it costs them money. So what would the Chinese do? Send more. Just send more. And drain them. Yeah. Bankrupt Taiwan. Or the U.S. has to pour money, military and everything else into it. I just don't see. And would you trust right now, if you were in Taiwan, would you trust Joe Biden to defend you? Not after looking what happened in Afghanistan two weeks ago. That's right. And who wants Taiwan? China. And who owns Joe Biden? China. And who's going to

tell Joe Biden what to do? China. That's right. Well, we touched on this story last week a little bit, and we talked about the possibility of China actually taking over Bagram Air Base. Obviously, it must have burned some ears out there, Rick, because China's denying that it's taking over Afghan military site that was U.S. base. So they're making it very clear, Rick, that they have no intention of that. But the fact of the matter is they are in alliance with the new government. Somebody's going to take it over. Sure. You get a military base sitting there, an Air Force base. I mean, obviously somebody's going to take it. And there's only two countries right now

that are talking to Afghanistan, and that's Russia and China. Yes. So if China doesn't take it, are the Russians going to move in? Hey, you know, they got a bad memory about Afghanistan. That really wasn't a fun experience for them. I'm not I don't think Mr. Putin would rush back to Afghanistan. No, but China hasn't had that experience yet and so for younger people what did the united states cia do when the russians were in afghanistan see the russians had they had their afghanistan afghanistan war that went on and on and on and on and on forever and the russians't get out of it. And what did the good

old CIA do? We funded the terrorist. And what was the name of the leader of the terrorists? Osama bin Laden. That's right. The CIA recruited, trained, funded, and armed Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda to fight the Russians. And did it work? It worked. And then the CIA used them to fight other people, too. They're still in the payroll. It's like ISIS. ISIS-K. ISIS-K.

And Mr. Grinnell said again, and I said again because he has said this several times, that the real person running the biden white house is susan rice the former national security advisor to barack obama and the woman who oversaw the benghazi yes debacle that's so i mean think about it afghanistan bhazi, don't they look the same? They do. You got the same result, right? Dead Americans. You have dead Americans. Susan B. Rice ran Benghazi. Susan B. Rice running Afghanistan, according to Rick Grinnell. Who should know because he was the director of national intelligence. I know you found found an earlier interview. This is not the one from

this weekend, but this is from last March when he was on Newsmax. Right. Let's watch this. So, Rick, you've obviously seen what leadership looks like in the White House. What's your assessment right now of the first 45-odd days of the Biden administration? President Susan Rice is doing a great job. She's literally behind the scenes just pulling all the strings and nobody's paying attention. It's a joke that we think that she's not running foreign policy. We know she is. They wanted her to be secretary of state, but she didn't have the votes last time or this time.

She almost became vice president. But now we've got the vice president up in the Senate, really distracted by the 50-50. And so if we don't get more kind of media attention and scrutiny on what Susan Rice is doing, I think we're really doing a disservice to the American people. You can see, Benny, you can see that Joe Biden doesn't have a command of the foreign policy issues. He doesn't have a command of even calling world leaders. Now we're told that Kamala Harris has been getting tutoring sessions for a couple of weeks, and now she's up to speed and taking world leaders' calls. So President Susan Rice, the shadow president, that's what Rick Grinnell is saying. Who does she report to? Barack Obama.

Barack Obama. Rice is simply Obama's woman that he's giving instructions to, and she's carrying out the instructions and she is embedded in the white house now she's serving as the advisor on domestic policy and the idea is that she was supposed to be placed there this is their story in response to the extreme left within the democratic party but basically she is simply implementing her foreign policy domestically and extending what she did in Benghazi to Afghanistan. So many parallels between Benghazi and Afghanistan. It's frightening.

Yes. Because both times it led to the complete collapse of nations, right? That's right. And the death of Americans. Yes. The U.S. did not rescue Americans in Benghazi. The U.S. did not rescue Americans in Benghazi. The U.S. did not rescue Americans in Kabul. Susan B. Rice is in charge. Yes. And by extension, Barack Obama is running the show.

Hey, if you if you absolutely have got to start a war and you can't find anybody to get the war started, you can always turn to the Israelis. And so look at today's headlines. Times of Israel. Israeli Defense Force chief says Israel is accelerating plans to attack Iran. Really? They're ramping it up. How many times have we read this headline in the past, Rick? A lot over the years, but they're telling us, I mean, they're putting the pressure on Joe Biden or Susan Rice to get the job done.

And what the Israelis will say is if the U.S. isn't going to start this war. We will start the war. But that means we're going to do something sneaky and dirty that's going to force the U.S. into the war and Americans will die fighting Israel's war. Got to take a break. Be back soon. Hey, welcome back to True News. Last Friday, Doc and I talked from Matthew 25, the parable of the ten virgins.

And we had a tremendous, very positive response from the True News audience. I'm going to tell you, I'm so pleased how many people have said, thank you, so glad that you and I are doing less news and more Bible study. That's the response we wanted to receive. Yes, and we appreciate that. And we appreciate all your comments and all your questions. And we got a lot of questions over the weekend via email, via messenger. I had people private messaging me, Hey, what does this mean? What does this mean? And, you know, I was giving a little insight, but I said, be sure to watch on Monday. I'm sure that we'll have a follow-up and explain some more because we had not completed everything last

week. And so, you know, some of the newsaholics are obviously upset. I don't know what to say to you. It's like how, what else has to be said? They're implementing the mark of the beast system. Right. What else? How much? What other news story do you want to hear? What else can I read to you from headlines that might convince you that we're at the end of the age?

They're doing the mark of the beast. Yes, they're setting up camps. They're jabbing things in people's arms. What do you want next? You can't buy or sell. I mean, what else do you want? The beheading stories. You need to behead, mass beheadings.

What's the next story that will make some of you get off the fence and believe in the name of Jesus Christ? And the parable of the 10 virgins is a perfect parable to be teaching on right now because it's a parable of preparation, right? Yes, and it's not preparation of material goods. Although you can use it as a teaching tool that has value of being prepared, but that's not the message that Jesus was giving.

Let's read the parable. All right, so this is from Matthew chapter 25. So then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins which took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were wise and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. Verse 2. But the wise virgin, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know not, I know you not. Watch therefore, for you know

neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of Man cometh. All right, so if you did not see Friday's program, I encourage you to go back and watch Friday so you get the first part of our teaching on this parable. I don't want to repeat all I ENCOURAGE YOU TO GO BACK AND WATCH FRIDAYS SO YOU GET THE FIRST PART OF OUR TEACHING ON THIS PARABLE. I DON'T WANT TO REPEAT ALL OF THE POINTS THAT WE WENT THROUGH, BUT SIMPLY TO RECAP, I MEAN, ALL TEN, THESE ARE BRIDE'S MAIDS. THEY'RE NOT THE BRIDE. YES, THAT GETS CONFUSED A LOT.

THEY'RE NOT MARRYING THE BRIDEGROOM. THIS PARABLE DOES NOT TELL US THE IDENTITY OF THE BRIDE. Yes, that gets confused a lot. They're not marrying the bridegroom. This parable does not tell us the identity of the bride. It's talking about bridesmaids, the young women who accompany the bride to the wedding of the bridegroom. All 10 were expecting the wedding. All 10 were invited to the wedding. All 10 had been appointed, chosen by the bride to represent her. All 10 had lamps. All 10 had oil. All 10 went out. That means there was some action. They were in motion. They weren't sitting around just waiting. They went out. There was action. Along the way, they became sleepy and slept.

Now, a lot of people have taught that it was just the five that fell asleep. But that's not what the scripture says. It's the ten. All ten fell asleep. And those that say the the scripture says. That was the 10. All 10 fell asleep. And those that say the five foolish ones were the ones that slept, made the sleep sound like it was a negative in the story. But the sleep applied to all the virgins. All 10 went to sleep. Now, lamps need oil. So what is the oil in this parable? That was the one question I got a lot over the weekend. So most Bible teachers, and I'm not saying they're wrong on this. I get a slightly different

viewpoint. Most say the oil is the Holy Spirit. My view is the oil is the grace of God that is supplied by the Holy Spirit. Well, you could say that the Holy Spirit is the spirit of grace. The scripture does say that. And so you wouldn't be wrong either way. Right. So. So grace is given to us as we study the word of God, meditate on the word of God, hear the word of God preached, hear the word of God. Meditate on the Word of God. Hear the Word of God preached. Hear the Word of God taught. Right. Grace is given to us. And grace, you know, I often say grace is like gravy.

It goes on everything. Whatever problem you're dealing with, ask for grace. Smear some grace on it. God has lots of it. He'll give you grace. But as you get into the word of God and pursue a closer relationship with the Lord and study his word, hear preaching, hear teaching, show pursuit of God. As you show pursuit of God, grace is given unto you.

Right. And grace is a heavenly substance. Pursuit is what, Doc? It's proof of desire. Right. You only pursue the things you desire, what you want. Right. And so when you pursue God, God knows you truly desire him. You're after him.

You're pursuing him. And he gives you grace. He rewards you truly desire him. You're after him. You're pursuing him. And he gives you grace. He rewards you with grace. I believe that the oil is grace. Now, how do we have evidence of that pursuit in the wise virgins? We have it. They had extra vessels. They had extra vessels.

So all 10 had lamps. All 10 had oil. Yes. I mean, a lot of people think the five foolish didn't have oil. No, they had oil. Yes. And their lamps were burning. Yes.

So the difference was the five had extra oil. The parable says Jesus said the five wise had vessels with them. In other words, their own vessels or vessels given to them or whatever. But they had vessels. A vessel would have probably been a ceramic container or some type of skin sack, something where they could put oil into it, carry it with them. But they had vessels. There's nothing that indicates that the five foolish had any vessels.

In fact, the parable kind of hints just the opposite, right? The wise virgin said to the foolish ones, if we give you of our oil, none of us will make it to the wedding. But rather go ye to the man that sells oil back in town and see if you can wake him up and see if you can get oil. Well, Doc, discipleship requires discipline to be a disciple of Jesus.

I don't want to be a Christian. I want to be a disciple of Jesus. All right. Christian is a general term the world uses. But a disciple is a student of Christ, somebody that pursues Christ, somebody who wants to be taught by Christ, somebody that submits to Christ. Discipleship means discipline, devotion. You have to apply energy and effort to be discipled.

It doesn't come through the air. A disciple has to sit at somebody's feet to be discipled. Yes. And so there's the action. Grace is given to those who desire jesus christ in his word and it's impossible to separate christ and his word in the beginning was the word word with god the word was god is the word. Psalm 119, 105 says, Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. So the lamp that the ten virgins were carrying was the word of God.

The lamp was the word. Okay? The lamp, the word is a lamp unto my feet. The lamp was to show them the path that they were to walk on. You have to have oil in the lamp. The oil is the grace of God. What else? If you have oil in a lamp, what else do you need?

You need a wick and you need fire. You got to have something that lights it. I believe the Holy Spirit is the fire that lights the oil. And now the Holy Spirit fire lights the oil, which is grace. Grace is the fuel in the lamp. The lamp is the word of God. And you're seeing your way through this dark world. I believe this is the meaning of this parable.

How does that work out in real life, though, Rick? I mean, what does that mean that we have that grace of God, that oil in our lamp, that it's lit? You're pursuing Christ. You're pursuing him with all your passion. Do you pursue Christ with the same energy and time and devotion that you pursue news? It's an honest question. This is what I'm asking my audience. I'm particularly the ones who don't like me taking time now to teach because we have gotten some criticism you know Rick I'm already a Christian I don't need you to teach me the Bible oh I love that one yes okay

well God told me to teach the Bible okay so that's what I'm supposed to do I'm supposed to make disciples all right and not deliver a newspaper so are you pursuing the Word of God are you pursuing God Himself are you pursuing the word of God? Are you pursuing God himself? Are you pursuing? Look, there are people that pursue the word and never pursue God. Pursue the father. Pursue the father. Love him.

Pursue him. Love him as your father. Develop a deep, close, intimate relationship with your Papa. He's your Papa. Fall in love with your Papa. All right? And grace will come to you. Jesus said, if you love him, you will keep his commandments.

Now, a lot of people don't think Jesus had commandments. Oh, he sure did. It's called the Sermon on the Mount. Yes. Those are the new commandments. Those are the new commandments of the new covenant age that we're in. Read the Sermon on the Mount. Are you keeping the commandments?

Now that's what we're supposed to be doing. He's our king. He said, here are my commandments. Keep them. If you love me, you'll keep these commandments. What commandments? The Sermon on the Mount. Right. And the rest of the New Testament is the apostles teaching and the enforcement or the teaching on how to live out that Sermon on the Mount. That's right.

So, Doc, there's a lot of people that received some grace years ago. You know, they may, maybe they've been Christians for 20, 30 years, maybe 10 years ago or 20 years ago, they had grace. They were on fire for God. They were lit up pursuing God. They were giving grace and they're living today on yesterday's grace because they're not renewing that relationship with christ they don't have the extra vessels yes because they're not pursuing god something has taken something has come in and the cares of this world the cares of this world have choked it out choked out the word so to understand let's go back to the number one parable, the parable of the sower. Jesus said, you won't understand any of these parables unless you understand the parable of the sower.

It's the key parable to all the other parables. And he said that in Mark. So you've got to go back and learn the parable of the sower to understand these other parables. So you have people today who make little or no effort to replenish the grace that God gave them years ago. And there's, like I said, there's no indication that the foolish virgins even had a place to put extra oil. They didn't even make an effort. They didn't have an empty oil container with them. Empty. Right. Right. How can you fill up something? How can you have extra supply if you don't even have a container to hold it? Well, because they figured they needed just enough, Rick,

just enough, just enough to keep the wick burning until some point in time. Yes. And it wasn't enough for the whole journey. And that's where they did not. You, if you saw all 10 virgins, bridesmaids, you did not see that they were divided into two camps. You didn't say, well, here's five foolish and five wise. They were all the same. They all had lanterns. They all had oil. They had the wedding garments. They all had lanterns. They all had oil.

They had the wedding garments. They had the wedding garments. They were authorized to to accompany the bridegroom to go get the bride and go into the wedding. Everything looked the same. All 10 looked the same. You didn't see the division until they trim their wicks. You got to get this part. The trimming of the wicks is what pulled the curtain back and revealed five are foolish, five are wise.

Because when they trimmed their wicks, they did not have the extra oil. Their lamps had burned while they slept. And so all 10, their lamps were going out. All 10 needed oil. Five foolish did not have extra. Five wise had the extra oil. And so they refilled their lamps and they're ready for the journey. Yes. So what was the slumbering and sleeping?

I've come to the conclusion that it's death. The sleeping represents death. All 10 became sleepy. They became old and tired and they slept. They died. And the cry, the bridegroom cometh, go out and meet him. That's the cry when Christ comes back. Jesus is coming. All 10 sprung into action. But only five rose up from their soul. All five went out to meet him. I mean, all 10 went out to meet him. But only five could meet him because five got lost in the darkness. Wow. They got lost in the darkness.

The darkness of when the graves were open. The graves were open. The 10 virgins came out of the grave. Five went up into the air to meet the Lord in the clouds, but five did not make it. And the Lord snubbed them. The bridegroom snubbed them. They beat on the door and they said, let us in. We are your bridesmaids. I've got my invitation right here. And he said, you're late. And the reason you're late is that you wasted valuable time and you did not pursue the oil that you needed to be here at this wedding on time.

Get out of here. I don't know you. And the door was shut and they had the wedding. Now, Rick, this is a tough message for believers. Yes. Yes. That's what I'm trying to tell people right now. Do away with the news. Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. Have you noticed I'm cutting down on the amount of news I'm giving you? They're already rolling out the mark of the beast. This is the hour to acquire whatever oil you need for the final stretch that we're in. Yes.

And you right now, God is dealing with people watching this news program. And in some of you are getting it and you're saying, yes, the Lord is speaking to me. And I am now putting aside things I've been spending my time on and I am going to pursue God with all my mind, heart, and soul. Others are saying, I wish he'd get back to reporting the news. I've already read this parable. And you're missing it. You're not getting it. And I can't do anything about it. I'm only going to talk to the people who WISE. THAT'S ALL I CAN DO IS TO TALK TO THE WISE VIRGINS AND HELP YOU ACQUIRE MORE OIL WHILE THERE IS STILL DAYLIGHT TO DO IT.

THAT, THAT YOU'RE GOING TO FALL ASLEEP. DEATH IS COMING. DO YOU HAVE THE VESSEL NECESSARY TO CARRY YOU THROUGH ON THE REST OF THE JOURNEY? BECAUSE THESE DAYS THAT WE'RE LIVING IN, RICK, ARE GOING TO BE TROUBLING, TROUBLING TIMES BEFORE THE BRIDEGROOM COMES. to carry you through on the rest of the journey. Because these days that we're living in, Rick, are going to be troubling, troubling times before the bridegroom comes. Isaiah said, darkness shall cover the earth.

Gross darkness shall cover the people. But light will arise. Light will arise among you. Read Isaiah 60. It is a prophecy about Jesus Christ coming back at the last days. It's not about the state of Israel rising up. It's about Jesus Christ coming back. Hey, we're going to do more of this Bible teaching every day.
