is as much as 30 inches. You're talking two and a half feet of rain. I think probably what is going to be more realistic is places like Orlando may get 15 inches or more rain on Tuesday night, Wednesday morning. Because of the drainage problem in Orlando and much of Florida, Orlando will be flooded on Wednesday. They get 15 inches of rain in one day. And add to that that we've had a significant amount of rain here over the past several days

because of another minor low off the Gulf Coast, and so we've been getting dumped with a lot of rain over the past several days. Our ground is very wet. It's soaked. Personally, I have a creek on my property, and I've only seen the creek up high, very high, one time since I've lived there in three years. And I guess the water got about 20 feet from my house, which was getting close. I had. You know, I had, I had to go out, you know, before the storm, I moved picnic tables and everything because I was concerned the water would just carry them away. Right. But I, you know, I would say that the edge of the water was about 20 feet from the house.

Yesterday I was, I was trying to find sandbags. There are no sandbags. None. There are none that are filled, and there are no empty ones. Some of the cities, they have supplies of sand. Something very unusual. You cannot explain away so many videos of just regular common people saying, where is the government? Nobody's helping us. We don't have food. We don't have drinking water. We don't have housing.

People sleeping in their cars. Right. In the mud. You know, people have made fun of rednecks and hillbillies for a long, long time. Well, right now, the rednecks and the hillbillies are the ones out there helping everybody. That's right. And yet our government, the federal government, is sending hundreds of millions of dollars of aid to Ukraine, to Israel, to other countries. They're getting help. Yes. But nothing for Americans. posted on Facebook asking people to stop the conspiracy theory junk. Tillis said Corbin is right to call people out on the claims. Well, I'd like to know, how many places has Senator Corbin been in his state that's been impacted by the storm? That's a great question. How many boxes of food has he delivered himself? He's sitting in his Washington office talking about conspiracy theories. Why don't you roll up your sleeves? Why don't you get your boots on and get out there and actually be a public servant?

And these criticisms that they're talking about here in the CNBC article are the criticisms of FEMA and the federal government's response. It's not, we know that the locals are stepping up. We know that the ordinary civilians are stepping up, but just don't talk bad about FEMA, Rick. And it makes, it talks about Elon Musk, you know, basically saying, well, he's spreading conspiracy theories too. No, he said the Starlink devices he donated were hindered from being delivered, and it was the federal government who was preventing him from delivering the Starlink devices. Yes. That's not a conspiracy theory. That actually happened. If Washington wants conspiracy theories to stop, then stop lying and deceiving the American people.

If the Democrats take control of the White House and Congress in November, yes, people are going to go to prison for words. You're not making it up. Hillary said it. They're going to go to prison for words. That's where we're at right now, Doc, in the United States of America. People will go to prison for words and for memes. There's already an American citizen in prison right now for a meme from the 2000s.

And it's part of our problem, particularly in democracies, in terms of building consensus around any issue. It's really hard to govern today. You can't, you know, there's no, the referees we used to have to determine what's a fact and what isn't a fact have kind of been eviscerated to a certain degree. And people self-select where they go for their news

or for their information. And then you just get into a vicious cycle. So it's really, really hard, much harder to build consensus today than at any time in the 45, 50 years I've been involved in this. And there's a lot of discussion now about how you curb those entities in order to guarantee that you're going to have some accountability on facts, et cetera. But look, if people go to only one source and the source they go to is sick and has an agenda and they're putting out

disinformation, our First Amendment stands as a major block to the ability to be able to just hammer it out of existence. So what we need is to win the ground, win the right to govern by hopefully winning enough votes that you're free to be able to implement change. Now, obviously, there are some people in our country who are prepared to implement change in other ways. And that's really dangerous. So you're questioning, really, if democracy can survive unregulated social media. I think democracies are very challenged right now and have not proven they can move fast enough or big enough

to deal with the challenges that we are facing. And to me, that is part of what this race, this election is all about. Will we break the fever in the United States? You hear the words hammer out disinformation, break the fever. Yes, yes. Those people posting memes, they're the enemy, Rick. which is about 155 miles from Moscow itself. Now, according to the announcement, the crews of the RS-24 Yars mobile land-based missile systems are performing tasks that include 100-kilometer marches, unit dispersal with position changes, engineering equipment setup, camouflage organization, and combat guard. Additionally, they are practicing countermeasures against sabotage and intelligence groups. Some ministry noted that these exercises include intensive maneuvers along combat patrol routes. Now, the primary objectives of these patrols are to guarantee survivability and strategic flexibility while also maintaining the credibility of Russia's nuclear deterrence.

Regular patrols reduce the likelihood of missile launchers being targeted in preemptive strikes, adding an element of unpredictability to their whereabouts. It's just, that's what I see that the magnificence of God the Creator amen okay verse 23 then if any man shall say unto you lo here is Christ or there believe it not. This constitutes the third warning to disciples to avoid deception. The third warning in chapter 24, verses 4 and 5. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take he that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, i am christ and shall deceive many verse 11 and many false prophets shall arrive shall rise and shall deceive many we now have the third warning in matthew 24 beware of false messiahs so the three most dangerous forms of deception that Jesus' disciples must be on alert to discern and avoid are, number one, preachers who come on the authority of the name of Jesus and claim to speak prophetically on his behalf.

Right. Number two, false prophets who are not true prophets now this is where a lot of people are confused about the term false prophets this does not mean none of their prophecies come true satan can prophesy through false prophets and make it appear as though the prophecy was fulfilled. Yes. And look, a true prophet can be accurate 90% of the time. See, people think if somebody prophesies something and it doesn't come true, he's a false prophet. No, that's not what a false prophet is.

The 10% error does not make him a false prophet no that's not what a false prophet is the 10% error does not make him a false prophet it merely means he misunderstood what the Lord said to him however a false prophet is a person not called and anointed by God but but pretends to be a prophet. And false messiahs claim to be the savior of the world. So whenever you hear somebody say false prophet, the true definition of a false prophet is a person who is not and has never been called by God to be a prophet, and yet pretends to be a prophet. Yes.

Again, some of their prophecies may come true. Yeah. Because evil spirits will speak through them. So, Jesus is warning us that during times of turmoil and expectation, many will come claiming to be the Messiah

deceiving many. And he explicitly warns his followers to be on the lookout for such characters and not be misled by them. See, true believers have the inward spiritual witness of the Holy Spirit and the intellectual knowledge of sound doctrine. Together, working together, the inward witness of the Spirit and the mental knowledge of sound doctrine. True believers should not be deceived by imposters, even those who perform miracle signs and wonders.

Yes, and you've got to keep that in mind because Jesus warned about that too, that there would be genuine signs. I don't know if you call them genuine signs. They're signs. They're call them genuine signs they're signs they're false signs but they're real doc i i witnessed something one time i'm not going to go into detail about it but i i saw what appeared to be a physical healing healing. And when it happened, the Holy Spirit told me, he said, I didn't do this. And I thought, how do I say this? I mean, I knew it. I knew that what was going on in that situation, everybody was clapping and cheering and saying, this is a miracle.

And I knew I heard in my spirit, the Holy Spirit said, I didn't do this. This is not a work by me. And it was really, I'll be honest with you, I think it was mind power. I believe the people that were in charge there in that moment were operating in the spirit of like Christian science, mind over matter. Witchcraft. Witchcraft. They didn't know it. Honestly, they didn't know it.

They were deceived. Yes. And that physical healing only lasted a couple hours. That person went right back into the state that they were in before. See, if it's of the Lord it's gonna stick unless you give it up I've seen people give up their healings to the Satan comes to them later and says hey you really aren't healed are you sure you're healed yeah think about it I'm gonna put some pain

on you and the moment the Satan can get that person to speak words of doubt and unbelief they are at risk of that sickness is going to come back on them verse 24 for there shall arise false christ and false prophets and they shall show great signs and wonders in so much that if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect jesus didn't say that the very elect are going to be deceived. He said, these signs and wonders are going to be so magnificent, so overwhelming, so convincing, that if it were possible, even the chosen ones would be deceived. So he assures us three things will happen.

Number one, false Christs and false prophets will appear Jesus didn't say that there was a possibility of false Messiahs and false prophets he said for there shall arise yes false Christ and false prophets you can take that to the bank and cash the check. They're going to appear. Number two, these false Christ, false prophets will perform great signs and wonders. And number three, their signs and wonders will be so impressive that even the most mature, strongest Christians will be tempted to believe them. Now, if you were with us when we studied the book of Acts, you'll recall that magic, divination,

sorcery was prevalent among the Jews at that time. And it still is today. Kabbalah is one of the most practiced forms of magic in Judaism. Recognizing the public's appetite for a Messiah, a Savior, Satan will empower imposters with demonic powers to produce false signs and wonders. Men and women performing Satan-empowered miracles are not unheard of in the Bible. We read in Exodus 7 that the Egyptian pharaoh's magicians were able to turn their rods into serpents. Right. Could match the miracles of Moses.

Yeah, so Exodus 7 verses 8 through 13 13 the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron saying when Pharaoh speaks to you saying perform a miracle then you shall tell Aaron take your rod and cast it down before Pharaoh and it will become a serpent Moses and Aaron went into Pharaoh and they did so and the Lord had come as the Lord had commanded Aaron cast down the rod before Pharaoh and before his servants and it became a serpent then Pharaoh called for the wise men and

sorcerers they also the magicians of Egypt did the same thing with their enchantments for they each cast down their rods and they became serpents but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods. Pharaoh's heart was hardened and he didn't listen to them as the Lord has spoken.

Where did the Egyptian magicians, I mean, yes, the Egyptian magicians, where did they obtain the knowledge to perform such feats of magic they were keepers of Egypt's books of secret occult knowledge yes handed down as the father of Freemasonry. Egypt was known for its vast libraries. And you can be sure that the magicians were appointed by Pharaoh to guard and protect and keep and know and understand the books of secret knowledge so black magic existed before the great flood oh yes what do you think brought on the flood stuff like black magic and it will continue to exist and operate in societies until the second coming of jesus christ so what we must prepare for is an increased sophistication of black magic

by magicians employing new technologies such as holographic projections. One of the marks of a false prophet or messiah is the claim to be in possession of knowledge not known to the general public. Secret knowledge. Secret knowledge known only to insiders who were permitted to see and hear it i'm going to be honest with you right now there are prominent men in the american evangelical church world today who traffic in secret knowledge harbingersens, and dark secrets not known to most Christians. And I will cite one man in particular who I believe is a false prophet.

That's Jonathan Cahn. An examination of his book titles reveals a lot about him. This is a man who dresses in all black, who presents himself as a rabbi, not a pastor, a rabbi. Black beard, black clothing, everything's black. I'll give you seven book titles, books he's written. The Mystery of the Shemitah. The book of mysteries. The harbinger. The paradigm. The oracle. The return of the gods. And his latest book, The Dragon's Prophecy. You see anything in it that's uplifting about the Lord Jesus Christ?

It's all dark, mysterious. Mystery. You don't know something. Yes, he does. That I know. My advice to Christians worldwide, avoid Jonathan Cahn like you would avoid a bubonic plague virus. Doc, he's coming to this region this month. You know, he's going to blow his shofar over our city.

Or he can, you know, I'm going to repel his shofar sound. I'm not going to let that blast go across. I'm talking about spiritually, not physically. Spiritually, I'm going to stand against it. Because he's coming to blow a sound of darkness over this region and the silly gullible christians who are so excited that he's coming to town yes why oh he's in he's in his he's a jew he knows things that christians don't know yeah like Kabbalah? All right.

So as we approach the second coming, we should expect to see a proliferation of false prophets and false messiahs performing great signs and wonders that will seek to validate their deceptive messaging. In the future, if you see CNN, Fox News, BBC, television networks all over the world providing news coverage of a prophet or Messiah performing miracles you will know that we are getting very close to the end of the age that's right yep they'll the media will love him they'll love him they'll endorse it they'll promote it they'll call him a modern Jesus yes that's the second coming of Jesus he's here right now that's what they're gonna say the signs and the

wonders are intended to mislead even those who are very faithful and discerning, the elect. That's right. The elect are true believers in Christ, baptized members of the church, followers of his teachings, obedient to his commandments. So the implication is that these supernatural feats could be so impressive that they could deceive even the most committed believers if they are not vigilant. So false prophets will use signs and wonders to substantiate their religious beliefs and doctrines. And that presents a significant challenge as miracles have traditionally been seen

as proof of divine intervention. So this misuse of miracles will be a powerful tool for deception. While miracles can confirm the truth of God's word, they can also serve as an instrument of deception to prove the truth of Satan's word. So this is the test of faith for believers to discern these deceptions and withstand them. True miracles will bear the mark of authenticity, that they are recognized by the Holy Spirit in believers.

And that ensures that we are not misled by false signs that seem convincing. The danger for doctrinally weak Christians is that they will be told by the false prophets and messiahs that the signs, wonders, and miracles verify the doctrines preached and taught by the imposters. Right. True disciples must be able to distinguish sound biblical doctrine and easily spot the counterfeit no matter how many miracles signs and wonders accompany the counterfeit messages so the ability of false prophets to deceive is a form of divine retribution for their unfaithfulness and ingratitude towards God. Yes, you've got that right.

Those who have rejected God's truth will be more susceptible to deception, which leads them further away from God. Right. So miracles alone should not be seen as proof of doctrine, but must be considered in concert with the teaching they are meant to support. God will never confirm unbiblical doctrines. That's right. Listen to that, people.

God will never confirm false doctrine. Never. See, the danger where the confused people to deceive them is that the false prophets will say well all of you have been taught that God confirmed Jesus is preaching with signs and wonders yes but Jesus was preaching truth. Satan will confirm lies with signs and wonders. That does not mean that God approves of the message. right so the phrase if it were possible indicates the difficulty of deceiving the elect not the probability of

deceiving the elect it's going to be very difficult to deceive those who are grounded in the word who have an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit it's going to be extremely difficult so if that describes you don't worry about it it's the Christians who don't study the word who don't have that relationship with the Holy Spirit They are the ones who are vulnerable to deception. So discernment through God's word and adherence to traditional Orthodox beliefs is what protects us from being led astray. Insomuch that if it were possible,

they shall deceive the very elect. The purpose of that phrase is to raise alarm and caution among believers. The intention of that statement is to make us more vigilant and attentive. Jesus said those words to tell us, you really have to work at making sure you're not deceived. You have to labor at it. This class, you gather five hours a week to hear us teach the word you are working at making sure you're not deceived yes you to be commended are you a very elect it forces me to spend three hours a day studying the word to teach you

it's that's good for me that's really good for me you know what god is doing for me personally he's saying rick i'm going to give you a task of teaching it's going to require three hours a day of study. You need it, Rick. You need it, Rick. You need it so that you're not deceived. So, believers are assured of God's defense and protection against Satan's snares. And this assurance provides us a firm foundation to rely on, knowing that our salvation is safeguarded by the faithful guardianship of God.

Our assurance of salvation is found in John 10, 28. Jesus said, I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. The permanency of salvation is grounded in the relationship between the Father, the Son, and the believer. And that ensures eternal security. Amen. So, do I believe in eternal security? In the sense that I just described it, yes.

Jesus said, those I give eternal life to, they will never perish and no one will take them out of my hand. That's my confidence. That my Papa is holding my hand so tight that no kidnapper can get me. Think about that. think of a child holding on to his father's hand little boy a little girl holding on to his or her father's hand and the father is holding so firmly that nobody could run up and grab the child and pull

the child away. That's how God has your soul. If you stay in Christ, you're okay. You'll be safe. Verse 25. Behold, I have told you before. He actually told him three times. Yes. So this told them three times. Yes.

So this is the third warning. So Jesus reiterates what he has previously forewarned his disciples about events, challenges, deception. It's as though he said, look, I've already gone over this with you several times, but I'm going to repeat it. He had forewarned his disciples about certain events that would transpire in the future. He specifically mentioned the rise of false Christs and false prophets, the prevalence of deception,

false teachings. And the purpose of the previous teachings was to provide his disciples with sufficient notice and warning about these events and these people. He's emphasizing the importance of being on guard, vigilant against deception, false Christs, false prophets, false messiahs. The purpose of this forewarning is to prepare us for what is to come. Yes. Ensuring us that we are not caught off guard or unprepared so the warning encourages awareness and vigilance among his followers urging us to be alert to dangers and challenges

i mean if you don't tell somebody of a danger ahead, they're going to be caught off guard. But if you tell me there's danger ahead, you know, I like it with our GPS in my vehicles. I get warnings on my dash, there's debris on the road ahead. Between exit 22 and exit 23, there's debris. Be careful. I'm now alert. I've got to be watching. I know that something's fallen off a truck or a tire has exploded.

Something's on the road. Being forewarned allows his disciples to make necessary preparations and that's spiritually and practically to face upcoming trials and temptations and deceptions mark's account uh says this this is mark 13 23 but take ye heed behold I have foretold you all things so it when somebody says to you take heed that means be alert I'm giving you a heads-up warning I'm telling you in advance what's up ahead. So that's what Mark 13, 23 means. Take ye heed, behold, I have foretold you all things.

Jesus is saying, you don't have an excuse to be called off guard. I told you. Right. Verse 26. Wherefore, if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert, go not forth. Behold, he is in the secret chamber.

Believe it not. The Jews at that time had an expectation that the Messiah would appear abruptly and from an unexpected location. And from time to time, that fueled rumors and false claims. Jesus said, then if any man shall say unto you, lo, here is Christ, or there, believe it not. In verse 26, Jesus specifies two locations. Now what I just read, that's verse 23. He said in verse 23,

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there, believe it not. Now in verse 26, Jesus tells us two types of locations where false messiahs may be claimed to be found. The wilderness and secret chambers. Yes. And the use of the plural form for secret rooms points to the potential, to multiple potential claims about various secret locations. He didn't say a secret room,

secret rooms, implying that there's more than one secret room, maybe more than one false messiah. So the verse references that many false prophets and imposters would

lead people into desert areas. Those locations are remote and isolated and they give the aura of a mysterious appearance of a Messiah. Yes.

I mean, if you think about where is the Messiah going to appear? Is it going to be downtown or out in the desert. You know, false messiahs, another reason they want to have that desert appearance is remoteness lessens the scrutiny of their false ministry. And so does a secret chamber. Yes.

That's right. We're trying to get a conversation with the Messiah, but he went back into his secret chamber. Back out to the desert. Yes. Now, the desert is often associated with biblical figures like Moses, Abraham. John the Baptist.

Yes, John the Baptist. So Jesus explicitly instructs his followers not to go after those who claim the Messiah is in the desert and he likewise says the false prophets will allude to their exclusive access to hidden secret knowledge which is found only in secret chambers why would you go to a secret chamber because you've got secret knowledge hidden there that's where the false prophet goes to study the secret knowledge you're not allowed in so it increases the mystery what is he doing in there what is he reading what is he here so secret knowledge can only be found in secret chambers that's right so secret chambers hidden rooms are places that deceivers might claim the messiah was hiding

and these claims stir curiosity because it suggests that the Messiah was hidden but wanting to be revealed. It's very deceptive. He's out there. He's in a secret chamber. He's hidden. But the reality is he really wants you to find him. So he has a secret plan. You don't know it. But just follow it. Just follow it. Sound familiar? Yeah. So what you hear

on Christian TV today, Christian radio and mega churches and conferences is something like this. Don't you desire to know what I have seen and heard and read in my secret chambers? I didn't even know what a Shemitah was.

It sounded like a pita. Is that like you put hummus in it? You put hummus in a Shemitah? But boy, he made a lot of money on that shameda thing and so did his publisher so the imagery of being in the wilderness or being hidden in secret rooms conveys a mysterious secretive nature of satan's efforts to deceive the public yes because remote locations are associated with non-visibility

and so false prophets use the allure of a hidden unseen mess Messiah to suggest that the Messiah is just out of sight. He can barely see him. He's out there. But he might appear. He might come out of his secret chamber. So the directive, go not out, emphasizes that the disciples of jesus jesus should not seek the messiah in secluded remote locations yes he's telling us here are two of the things you're going to be told also there's another reason doc jesus warns his followers to avoid suggestions that they go to the wilderness to the desert to remote locations

to secret chambers because it could be dangerous. It could lead to physical danger, deception. Yes. So the emphasis here is not on looking for false messiahs in wilderness regions in secret rooms I should say the emphasis should not be on looking for false messiahs the emphasis is on recognizing the pattern of deceit rather than the specific locations. Right. And of course,

to say that the Messiah is out there in a remote location contradicts the word of Jesus because he told us that his second appearing would be worldwide, glorious, sudden and visible to everybody. That's right. There'd be no question about it at all. That's all you need to know. If somebody says, hey, there's the Messiah, the Messiah is here. Jesus is out there in the desert.

No, he's not. He said he's going to come in the air. Verse 27. he said he's gonna come in the air verse 27 for as the lightning comes out of the east and shines even unto the West so shall the coming of the Son of man be well this is the the description Jesus gave us of his second coming right he compared it to lightning that shines from the east to the west covering the entire sky and so the emphasis here in verse 27 is that all right i just told you about these false christ listen when i come it's going to be like lightning across the sky everybody's going to see the

lightning it's it's going to be visible it's going to be loud there's going to see the lightning. It's going to be visible. It's going to be loud. There's going to be thunder. There's going to be no mistake when I come. That's right. It'll be visible to everybody, and everybody will know who it is. Everybody. The worst sinners will know,

oh, that's Jesus. They will know. They'll know the gig is up right the Son of God has returned so his return will be instantaneous and evident to everyone across the globe and so for us that highlights the importance of being perpetually prepared because there will be no forewarning of the exact moment he returns right lightning serves not just to illustrate the suddenness but also the overwhelming visibility and power of the return of Jesus Christ. Lightning illuminates everything around it, and Christ's return will illuminate everything by his glory. People don't understand, you know, all the lights go out the Sun the moon stars and

yet everybody sees Jesus why because he's the only thing that's glowing yes and his glow will light up the earth it won't be dark on the earth when Christ is here. The sun's gone. The sun went dark, but Jesus' glory will light up the earth so the angels know where the wicked are to gather them. They'll be running like bugs in the light. Be like turning a light on and cockroaches running. And angels will be grabbing them. This thing of lightning from the east. This is why ancient church traditions that are still practiced today in the eastern churches.

Their churches are built facing east. Yes. They bury the dead facing east. Where did they come up with those ideas? From this verse. Yes. They buried their relatives facing east because they said, I want mom to be looking towards the east when

christ comes verse 28 for where so ever the carcass is there will the eagles be gathered together now other translations use the word vultures where or where wherever the carcasses that is where the vultures gather together the carcass in this verse symbolizes something that's lifeless corrupt drawing the attention of scavengers the greek word translated as carcass means to fall yes so it the edema now the etymology links this word to the idea that something has fallen as a fallen body, a corpse. In fact, the Latin word cadaver is derived from cato, which means to fall. So a carcass symbolizes death, something that's lifeless the Eagles refer to vultures and they are noted for their incredible keenness of sight and sense of smell and their rapid congregation around dead matter right so doc there are two words that summarize the theme of Matthew 24, 28. Suddenness and certainty.

Yes. Divine judgment is certain. Likewise, dead bodies are certain to attract vultures. That's not going to be changed. Divine judgment is certain, and dead bodies always attract vultures. So Rick, in your opinion teaching us is the final day will arrive suddenly without warning. And vultures will appear suddenly to consume the corpses.

Right. That's because vultures have an extraordinary ability to spot dead bodies from immense distances it's not only just sight but there's their sense of smell their their ability to smell the scent of rotting corpses if you've ever been in a farm field and a dead animal is lying in the grass or dirt, a dead cow or something, or if you've been in a remote area such as a desert and you've witnessed the swift arrival of vultures to rip apart the corpse and devour the dead creature. You know it's an ugly scene.

First, only a few vultures arrive. And then within minutes, a large flock appear at the scene of death. And they just begin ripping the flesh out of the corpse. In the context of Matthew 24, vultures circling a carcass symbolizes the inevitable gathering of divine judgment. Forces of destruction around places and people that are dead spiritually dead morally corrupt the the carcass i believe doc represents people that are spiritually dead they're destined for destruction at the Messiah's coming.

Right. The vultures are angels. Yes. The angels who will execute judgment. So, again, the term carcass was chosen to denote something dead, decaying. And that is a warning for believers not to gather around the dead.

I'm talking about the spiritually dead. Yes. The morally corrupt. But you gather around Christ, the source of life and spiritual nourishment now that does not mean that you don't witness Christ to unsaved people that's not what it means it means you'd you choose not to constantly socialize identify with those who are spiritually dead if birds congregate around a source of substance, how much more should believers gather around Christ and feed on him?

That's what we do at communion. We feed on him so this proverb teaches a universal truth about the inevitability of judgment for wickedness judgment will come swiftly and unexpectedly and where there is moral decay the instruments of chastisement directed by God will invariably gather, and judgment will find those who are in a state of moral, spiritual decay, just like vultures and buzzards will find dead carcasses. So the emphasis is on the certainty that no place harboring spiritual decay will escape the attention of the vultures.

That's right. And have you ever noticed how thorough vultures are, Rick? Oh, they don't leave anything but the bones? They don't, yes. If they could get the bones I'd do that too but they're so it amazes me how thorough they are in consuming carcasses I mean it's complete there's nothing left oh doc one thing I learned out of this is that there's a particular type of vulture named the Griffin vulture. G-R-I-F-F-O-N, Griffin. And it has an exceptional ability to scent dying or dead animals or people. And there are historical records that massive flocks of griffin vultures

followed armies during wars there is a Aristotle mentioned it in his writings another reference is to the crimean war that vast numbers of griffin vultures gathered in crimea and stayed near the army camps throughout the war that these vultures were attracted by the smell of death associated with war. That's the warning for every human. When the day of judgment comes, the stench of death will fill the earth. And the vultures will appear you don't want to be something that's being ripped apart by the vultures the vultures are angels

you want to be in that group of saints who are lifted up to meet the Lord in the air. He may tell us don't look down. You don't want to see it. Just stay up here with me. My angels are taking care of business right now. Who wants to look down when you could look up at him? I don't want to see what's going on down here. I just want to look at Christ. I just want to behold Him.

So, Doc, that's it for me. If you have anything else you want to add, if not, we'll wrap it up. No, I was just sitting here thinking. I looked up that word for eagles there, and some translations have vultures but this is the same word for uh eagle slash vulture that's used over in revelation it talks about uh the woman being carried on the wings of the great eagle and if you recall uh late great planet earth said well that great eagle there that's america yeah right right. But it's the same word here. So is it America here too or not?

Yeah, do you want America to be the vulture? Yes. So, I mean, if we're going to follow that line of reasoning, is America the vulture here that's going to pick up the carcass at the end of the age? So that just shows you the flaws within dispensationalism and stuff. That's right. Not being picky on them or anything, but these are the words they say and they use. That's right.

That's one thing I would add, Rick. When you study the word, it enables you to discern false doctrines. Yes. And you just toss them out. That's right. Don't even entertain them. All right.
