The state of Michigan issued a bird flu emergency order this week that affects dairy and poultry farms in the state.
It is the first bird flu emergency order issued by any federal, state, or local government in the United States.
I'll tell you more about it in a few minutes.
I'm Rick Wiles.
This is True News for Friday, May 10, 2024.
First, I want to begin our analysis and commentary of national and international news with this bird flu report published by Ag Daily. As you see the headline,
CDC and FDA push for precautions amid bird flu concerns.
The article says that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
are now recommending personal protective equipment
for livestock workers amid concerns for H5N1 transmission to humans.
It goes on to say the CDC made the request this week asking state officials to make PPE available
for livestock workers amid the spreading avian influenza. Though the risk remains low for the general public, according to the CDC,
workers who are in close proximity to livestock, such as dairy farmers, poultry farmers, and slaughterhouses,
may have a higher risk of infection.
Dr. Burkhart, you're an old missouri farm boy have you ever seen farm workers wearing hazmat suits no the only time you ever see something
like that may be inside of dairy uh you know you know but in where the milky right being processed
but this is where we're going. But not in just general operation.
The CDC
is recommending that
dairy farmers,
poultry farmers, slaughterhouse
operations, that the
employees, the farmers,
wear personal protective
equipment.
How far is this going to go?
This is a recommendation right now.
But it's a recommendation.
When does it become a mandate from CDC?
Well, we found that during COVID, it's when whatever they say.
Yes.
So if you're a farmer, if you're a dairy farmer, if you're a poultry farmer, if you have any
job that brings you into close proximity to dairy cattle and poultry,
if you work in a slaughterhouse, a butcher shop, what you need to understand is that
we took a step, we as a nation here, we took a step this week where the CDC in Washington, or actually Atlanta, issued an order.
It's only a recommendation.
It's a recommendation that farmers wear personal protective equipment.
To me, that's telling farmers you need to dress up in a hazmat suit.
If you're going out to milk the cows, you need to get suited up first.
You've got to get suited up before you milk the cows.
If you're going out to gather the eggs, you've got to get suited up.
As I said, it's a recommendation.
But where we could see this is in a few weeks, a month or so, this could become a mandatory order from the CDC.
And then we'll see how various state governments throughout the nation respond to a mandate from the CDC.
Doc, let's dig into this article.
Again, this is Ag Daily.
And it goes on to give us more information about this PPE order. Yes, so the CDC has asked that jurisdictions make PPE available to workers on dairy farms,
poultry farms, and in slaughterhouses.
Specifically, the CDC has asked state health departments to work with their state ag department
counterparts and partners
in communities such as farm worker organizations that can help coordinate and facilitate PE
distributions. That's coming from the recommendation from the CDC. Now, the U.S.
Food and Drug Administration, oh, excuse me, there was more. The extra precautions come despite only
two reported cases in people that occurred in April.
One was a dairy worker who was exposed to cattle in Texas and another in Colorado who was involved in culling poultry that were believed to have been infected with H5N1.
Now, the Texas case, which we talked about a little bit the other day, reported eye redness consistent
with conjunctivitis as their only symptom.
Wait a minute.
When I saw that story break in the news, the headline said, bird flu victim bleeding from
his eyeballs.
Yes.
He had pink eye.
Doc, the headline said bleeding from his eyes.
What's your thought when you see a headline?
Somebody's bleeding from their eyes.
They're sick.
They're really sick.
You got blood dripping down your cheeks from your eyeballs?
No, you have pink eye.
This is the first time I've heard that the guy had pink eye.
I'm thinking, wow, this thing's so bad.
If you get it, you start bleeding from your
eyeballs. See, this is how the news media starts whipping up the fear. They'll put a headline out,
then they'll draw it back, then they'll put out another one, draw it back. All right. So they've
got people in a yo-yo. What's happening? Is a deadly virus breaking out
that makes you bleed from your eyes?
No, the guy got pink eye.
But anyhow,
the CDC is basically moving
in the direction of locking down farms.
Folks, this is where it's going.
If this continues,
they're going to lock down farms.
They locked down everything else during coronavirus.
We're headed towards a lockdown of farms.
If this continues and worsens, the CDC is going to exercise its muscle, which it doesn't have.
They're going to flex a muscle that they don't have.
And they're going to lock down farms.
So are we going to see feds?
Are we going to see U.S. Marshals enforcing CDC mandates at farms?
Yes.
Yes, we will, Rick.
That wouldn't be surprising at all.
So what's happening to the food supply?
Is this the year that we began to see a severe contraction in the food supply?
In particular, you're going to see a reduction in milk and eggs.
It's a good reason to go to American Reserves
and buy powdered whey milk and powdered eggs.
They've got a buy one, get one, one-third off special going on right now,
AmericanReserves.com.
Just keep going into this Ag Daily.
So the extra precautions come, as we mentioned there, with the gentleman in Texas with
the conjunctivitis. Meanwhile, the Colorado case reported fatigue for a few days as their only
symptoms and has since recovered, according to the CDC. But they're getting ready to shut down
all dairy farms on those two cases, Rick. They're telling farmers they have to suit up in protective gear.
Masks, gloves, what else?
What does personal protective equipment entail?
Is it a full suit?
Well, they're talking PPE suits, so those are full suits, Rick.
That's what I mean.
Right now it's just a recommendation, a suggestion.
Next month it may be a federal mandate.
There's more in the story.
Yes.
So U.S. Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. Robert Cardiff further addressed growing bird flu concerns at a congressional hearing on Wednesday. He told senators on a panel that
despite a low probability of the strain of avian influenza that is affecting dairy cattle jumping
to humans, preparation needed to be taking place. Califf told senators that the virus, like all
viruses, continues to mutate, but the real worry is that it will jump to the human lungs where,
when that has happened, in other parts of the world for brief outbreaks, the mortality rate, and Rick, I don't know if you noticed this.
I did.
It has been 25%.
You get the flu and you've got a 25% chance of dying.
What was the mortality rate of coronavirus?
0.002 maybe.
It was so infinitesimal.
They're telling us now that in the places around the world where bird flu has temporarily taken off and affected humans, 25% of the humans who got it died.
And it just rolls that number off like it doesn't mean anything at all.
So, Caleb went on to say, so we've got to have testing, got to have antivirals, and
we need to have a vaccine ready to go.
So we've been busy getting prepared for if the virus does mutate in a way that jumps
into humans on a larger level.
Why do I have a feeling they already have a vaccine ready to go?
We know they do.
We absolutely know they do. We absolutely know they do.
I don't trust them.
So, Califf said that the FDA holds confidence in the scalability of vaccine production if required and assures that the current mRNA platforms are adaptable to address emerging strains.
What kind of vaccines are they going to bring out?
mRNA vaccines.
Genetic operating systems.
Yes, which aren't vaccines at all.
Right.
They're operating systems.
Software.
That's what it is.
It's biological software injected into your body.
It's not a vaccine at all.
It takes control of your body and starts issuing orders to your body.
And you can't get rid of it.
It's there.
It's inside of you.
I personally think mRNA vaccines are the first step in making the human race transhumanist.
Because you're now downloading biological software into your body.
You're no longer a full 100% human as God made you.
You've added man-made software
to coordinate and send instructions to your genes
and your biological functions.
You've got something now telling you what to do.
And you have no control over it.
You don't have any control over the mRNA.
No.
It's whatever Pfizer programmed it to do.
How do I know what they programmed it to do?
How do I know that there's not a trigger in it
that goes off in five years?
I don't know.
Because it's not natural.
It's man-made software.
And you're trusting men at pharmaceutical companies.
You're trusting people like Bill Gates at a software company.
You get the merger of software and pharmaceuticals.
The dream team for a lot of them up there.
Now, Reuters reporting,
U.S. to post influenza A wastewater data online to assist bird flu probe.
This, when I read this article today, Rick, I was like,
are you telling me what I think you're telling me?
They're already doing it.
That's right.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is planning to post data on influenza A found in wastewater in a public dashboard possibly as soon as today.
And that could offer new clues into the outbreak of the bird flu in cattle herds.
A CDC wastewater team led by Amy Kirby told Reuters on Thursday that the agency had, now
listen to this, has identified spikes of influenza A, which is a bird flu subtype, in a handful
of sites and is investigating the source.
She said there is no indication of human infection with H5N1. The article goes on to say
that they found these spikes, the way I'm reading this, through wastewater. Yes. By analyzing
wastewater. In multiple sites they're finding this around the country. Kirby said the CDC has
been collecting influenza data and wastewater in about 600 sites since at least last fall to better track respiratory infections.
So they've already been doing this, Rick.
That data can now be helpful in tracking the outbreak of H5N1 that has infected 42 dairy herds.
So far, testing has identified some increases in the presence of flu in samples that are very localized in only a handful of sites.
What is surprising, she said, is the outbreak in cattle and the presence of virus in milk, which sometimes makes its way into the wastewater.
The agency is now working to identify what factors are contributing to the wastewater findings, including understanding the presence of milk in wastewater.
I don't have a problem with the government analyzing wastewater.
I mean, they, is they're taking bird flu serious enough that they are watching it right now in the wastewater from cities.
And that's going to be one of the triggers that will push the federal government into taking more proactive steps in the coming months,
if they see a number of spikes increasing
throughout the country, that's what we wanna watch for.

Are they going to make farmers wear an ankle bracelet?
Or a microchip?
Or a wearable?
Yes. Some type of wearable. Yes.
Some type of wearable so that they can track the movement of farmers.
And in case you misread that, the next paragraph here says,
we continue to know that this virus is spread through people and vehicle movement.
So we've called on poultry and dairy facilities across the state
to be implementing some essential biosecurity practices for the cleaning and disinfecting,
tracking who is on facilities, and identification of a biosecurity manager.
Wait a minute.
A farmer is going to have to appoint a biosecurity manager?
If it's a big enough farm, I guess it is.
You see a farmer telling one of his workers,
you're going to have to be the biosecurity manager, Clem.
There's been some big headlines that the sun has erupted,
some flares, and that the sun has erupted, you know, some flares.
Right. And that the earth, there's a high likelihood that the earth is going to be hit with a severe geomagnetic storm today.
Likely.
Severe storm likely today, which has the potential of disrupting radio transmissions.
If you're listening on shortwave radio, you're probably going to hear a lot of crackle and static. But if it's strong enough, there can be disruptions in the electrical power
grid. There can be disruptions in satellite, in GPS communication. So this is being taken very seriously today, Doc. In the event of war, war between NATO and Russia, Kaliningrad will need to be neutralized.
Yes.
So Russian land forces operating through Moscow's vassal state Belarus cannot take control of the critical Suwalki gap, which runs along the border between Lithuania and Poland.
Doc, when I read neutralize, I had one thought.
They're going to nuke Kalinograd.
Well, they better be careful.
