The U.S. Department of Defense is preparing for post-election violence in the USA. We will tell you more in several minutes. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's news by focusing on two reports today about the growing level of fear among American citizens that violence may erupt after next week's presidential election. I'm Rick Wiles. This is True News for Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Let's begin with this ABC News report, the headline,
Starting point is 00:01:32 Voters Concerned About Post-Election Violence, Efforts to Overturn the Results. Again, this is ABC. What we're going to read to you are the words of ABC. It's not our comments. It's ABC. So let's take a look at it, Doc. So American voters are approaching the presidential election with deep unease about what could follow, including the potential for political violence, attempts to overturn the election results, and its broader implications for democracy, according to a new poll. Now, about four in ten registered voters say they are extremely or very
Starting point is 00:02:05 concerned about violent attempts to overturn the results after the November election. A similar share is worried about legal efforts to do so. And about one in three voters say they are extremely or very concerned about attempts by local or state election officials to stop the results from being finalized. Relatively few voters, about one-third or less, are not very or not at all concerned about any of that happening. And, Dr. Sway, right here, before we read this final paragraph, again, this is ABC News. Right. You'll notice it, how biased this report is.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Yes. Because they stopped reporting news. Yes. That's the news. That's the information you've received so far. And then they went into propaganda. That's right. The propaganda is coming out.
Starting point is 00:02:54 The next paragraph is ABC News propaganda. Let's read. All right. So this is the propaganda paragraph. Trump has continued to lie about fraud costing him re-election four years ago and is again forecasting that he can lose this time only if the election is rigged against him, a strategy he has deployed since he first ran for office. His allies in the Republican National Committee, which he reshaped, have filed lawsuits around the country that are a potential prelude to post-election legal challenges.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Should he lose? Was it Barack Obama? Yes. Who two weeks ago asked for thousands of lawyers to join? We the action. We the action. So ABC says Trump has continued to lie. See, that's their opinion.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Yeah, that's the propaganda. That's not a fact. That's their opinion. If you question the integrity of an election, according to ABC, you're a liar. You're an election denier. If you have concerns that the next election could be rigged in any way, that makes you a conspiracy theorist. Somebody who is sowing the seeds of violence. Right. How about this possibility, that half of the American people don't trust the establishment?
Starting point is 00:04:15 When we say the establishment, we're talking about government, we're talking about the media, we're talking about all of it. The ruling class. Right. Half the American people don't trust the ruling class. Right. Half the American people don't trust the ruling class. And ABC, you give them reasons not to trust you. Right. Okay. This was a perfectly fine report up until that last report.
Starting point is 00:04:34 Until they started their propaganda. If they were fair, they would have said, Mr. Trump. And see, it doesn't say Mr. Trump. It said Trump. Not former President Trump or anything. They said Mr. Trump, and see, it doesn't say Mr. Trump, it said Trump. Not former President Trump or anything? They should have said former President Trump has continued to maintain his belief that there was fraud. That would have been a fair statement. Right.
Starting point is 00:04:57 But instead, they said he has continued to lie. Right. Let's go to the Washington Post. Majority of swing state voters say they fear violence if Trump loses. Notice nobody's asking, what if Harris loses? Will there be violence then? Will Harris, Vice President Harris, will Vice President Harris refuse to concede the election? Right.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Will the Democrats contest the election in courthouses? Will they file lawsuits? Is anybody asking these questions? And remember, I brought up yesterday, it's the vice president oversees the ratification of the electoral slates. Doc, that was an eye-opener. I completely forgot it, overlooked it. That's her role. That's her one constitutional role. She has two constitutional roles. One, become the president if the president dies, and number two, preside over the Senate as the election returns are verified? And what if she refuses to accept the election returns? We don't know.
Starting point is 00:06:15 But nobody's asking her those questions. And would there be violence if she didn't certify the results? So anyway, a majority of swing state voters are concerned that supporters of former President Donald Trump will respond with violence if he doesn't win the presidential election next month and do not believe he will accept defeat. Significantly fewer voters across those key states feel the same is true about Vice President Kamala Harris and her backers. That's according to a Washington Post Schar School poll. Now, that poll of more than 5,000 registered voters conducted in the first half of October in six battleground states finds a 57% majority are very or somewhat worried that Trump supporters would turn violent if he loses, compared with 31% who think Harris voters would resort to violence.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Two-thirds of voters are not confident Mr. Trump would accept a loss, while a little more than two-thirds are confident that Ms. Harris would accept defeat. So two-thirds don't believe Donald Trump would accept a loss, but two-thirds are confident Vice President Harris would accept a loss. Right. Now, notice how they shaped this poll, though, okay? 5,000 registered voters in six battleground states, all right? We're not talking about the entire United States. We're not talking about the other 44 states being surveyed here or anything, but just in these key battleground states. That's true. All right, now, the next headline is what I really want you to pay attention to.
Starting point is 00:07:53 I saw this yesterday. This is Fox TV 5 in Washington, D.C., the headline, U.S. Capitol Complex Evacuation Drill Plan for Monday. This took place Monday night. There were 12 military helicopters at the U.S. Capitol Monday night conducting a mock evacuation of the U.S. Capitol. There's the video. You can see it for yourself. There's one of the helicopters leaving the Capitol grounds. Again, 12 helicopters participated in this event Monday night. What is the Pentagon anticipating, Doc? Well, that's a great question there.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Why would you need 12 helicopters at the U.S. Capitol? Why would you need to evacuate that many people at any one single time? So you see those, and this is just the drill. This happened Monday night. There were some leaks about it coming up last week, but it actually took place this past Monday evening. So does this mean the Pentagon is anticipating that it's going to get involved in activities after the election, that there's going to be civil disobedience, civil unrest in the country, that the members of the Congress are going to be threatened,
Starting point is 00:09:19 that the Capitol building itself is going to be attacked? I mean, what is the Pentagon doing? It seems to me like they're getting ready to evacuate some people out of the Capitol building itself is going to be attacked? I mean, what is the Pentagon doing? It seems to me like they're getting ready to evacuate some people out of the Capitol building, and they're anticipating some sort of violence, whether it's from Trump supporters, which is what the press would love to have happen, or Trump supporters. So, you know, January 6th, the members of the House and the Senate were trapped inside the building. So I'm sure this time, Doc, they're telling the Pentagon, you better come and get us. Don't leave us inside.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Remember, they were locked up in rooms. So I'm sure they're saying, don't do that to us again. Make sure you come and get us. Bring the helicopters in and get us out of here. But again, somebody in high-level places, some people are anticipating violence after the election. To me, I mean, I hope nothing happens. But my advice to everybody is prepare as though it's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Right, because there's so much talk and so much chatter of it. And when I say prepare, I'm not talking about prepare to participate in it. I'm talking about prepare to protect yourself, to get through whatever disturbances we could have in the country. That could go on for weeks or months. We could go right up to January 20th and not know who the president is going to be. That's how chaotic this thing could become. Or beyond. They'd have to do something.
Starting point is 00:11:00 At some point, well, if the Electoral College can't choose, then the House chooses. Right. And I believe the House chooses the president and the Senate chooses the vice president. I think that's – I've got to go back and read my constitution. But it would go to the House. But if the House can't meet – Yes. That's a great question. That's an interesting scenario you're painting there.
Starting point is 00:11:29 Or the House has to meet someplace else. They have to meet in another location. But we potentially could see a paralysis in choosing the president. That a decision can't be reached. You could conceivably, we could get a president who was not on the ballot. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:54 It's very possible. That is possible. It is constitutional. If it happens, it is entirely constitutional because the electoral college itself can choose somebody. That's true. And if the Electoral College can't choose the president, it goes to the House.
Starting point is 00:12:12 And if the House can't choose us, what do you do then? There's no mechanism unless you pull a Zelensky and just declare yourself president for life. You just stay in. That's what Zelensky did. He just said, we've got a war. We can't have an election. I'm going to stay in the presidency. So we ought to be prepared.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Do not participate in violence. Let me repeat it. If you're a Christian, do not participate in violence. The Lord will not bless it. But you need to be prepared to go through weeks or months of disruptions, chaos, turmoil, uncertainty. There could be a disruption in food supply. Right. Doc, I love the Teamsters. All right? I'm never going to say something bad about the Teamsters.
Starting point is 00:13:14 I'm just using them as an example. Okay? If the Teamsters got mad about what is happening after the election. And the Teamsters said, we're going on strike until the president is chosen according to what we want. No trucks move. What happens? America shuts down. There's no food. There are no supplies.
Starting point is 00:13:42 And we become vulnerable to our enemies at that time. At that moment in time, we're at our weakest. Yeah, so you could have the most unexpected development in this post-election cycle where somebody, and again, I'm just using the Teamsters as an example, but if the Teamsters Union went on a national strike because of the election, the country is paralyzed.
Starting point is 00:14:10 The same thing could be for air traffic controllers. They said, okay, we're not reporting to work. No planes fly. So you could choose any one of these groups that could paralyze the country. And now all activity in the country grinds to a halt.
Starting point is 00:14:32 You also have going into Christmas, we already know that it's going to be a dismal retail season. Yes, they've already said that. We're talking dismal. Consumers aren't buying. You're going to have retail stores that are shutting down. I was trying to think
Starting point is 00:15:02 the other day, what would really worsen a mess? I mean, if you have a political lockdown where they can't choose the president, what could set off like a bank run where people are rushing to the bank to get cash, and then the banks are closed. And then you have the retail stores that are paralyzed because nobody's shopping.
Starting point is 00:15:33 Do you see Christmas by the time we get to December, this could be a real mess. A colossal mess. You should be prepared. Have the food. Have the water. Just have ways to get through. Pull cash out incrementally.
Starting point is 00:15:50 You don't go and wipe out your bank account and put all your cash under the mattress. But build up a cash supply. Because there could be a bank run. If there's panic, there could be a bank run. People panic. They get scared. Everybody starts running to the bank. Next thing you know, Joe Biden has to close the banks.
Starting point is 00:16:11 If Joe Biden's president. If he's the president. We'll just assume he is. He's still the president until January 20. And whoever is there could close the banks. If there is a combination of political turmoil,
Starting point is 00:16:28 a paralysis where a president can't be chosen, the House, the Senate, the Congress can't meet. They've had to evacuate. Right. In helicopters. I didn't make that video. That's not AI-generated. Somebody at the Pentagon said,
Starting point is 00:16:44 you know, we should practice on evacuating the Congress. Let's send 12 helicopters over to Capitol Hill. Okay, so somebody's taking this seriously. You should take it seriously, too. That's all I'm saying. If the Pentagon's taking it seriously, you should take it seriously, too. And let's hope and pray it doesn't happen. I want either side.
Starting point is 00:17:10 I mean, I have my choice. I've already voted. But I want either side to win decisively. And everybody's mouths shut up on November 5th. Get on with life. The election's over. There's a winner and move on. And everybody shut up. The election's over. There's a winner. And move on. Right. And everybody shut up.
Starting point is 00:17:26 The losers shut up. There'll be another election four years later. But don't tear the country apart because you didn't get your way. Either side. I'm done with politics. I just, I'm done with, it's not politics and public service that don't bother. It's this constant fighting over politics to the point that people are willing to commit violence over an election. Truth is getting lost in the rhetoric. And that takes us to the next segment, which I actually, I hate even spending time talking about this stuff, okay?
Starting point is 00:18:08 Because it's so silly. So we're going to talk about garbage. Isn't that what, we should call this the garbage? The garbage section, yes. Yeah, this is the garbage segment. So, you know, I ignored it on Monday's program. It happened Sunday. I ignored it.
Starting point is 00:18:22 We had it ready. At the last minute, I said, I'm not going to waste time on it. We've got more important things to talk about. World War III. Let's talk about World War III. But then it got bigger yesterday. And then it got bigger. Just like trash does.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Yes. The trash topic is still moving around. So let's start with number five. Forbes magazine Trump rally speaker Tony Hinchcliffe calls Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage. So this is the headline from Forbes on Sunday. I don't know who the guy is. He's a so-called comedian that does roast and things like that. Well, the only one who got roasted is his career.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Really? Yes. Who would hire this guy after this debacle? And why they even had him out there. Why didn't somebody in the Trump campaign vet his opening remarks? Yeah, and from what I understood, they were on the teleprompter. No one checks that? They put it on a teleprompter?
Starting point is 00:19:19 Right, he was reading from a teleprompter. Somebody cleared it? Yes. Donald Trump should fire the person who hired him, fire the person who cleared the speech, fire the person who put it on the teleprompter. If they're three different people, fire all
Starting point is 00:19:36 of them. That's how you tell the people of Puerto Rico, I'm not happy. And I took action and I got rid of the people responsible for it. Let's play the clip of this guy. This guy's not even funny. No. It's the only time I've ever heard the guy, if this is his comedy style, he should get a job at McDonald's.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Let's watch. Absolutely wild times. It really, really is. And, you know, there's a lot going on like i don't know if you guys know this but there's literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now yeah i think it's called puerto rico okay all right. We're getting there. In New York City, the largest population of Puerto Ricans in the country is in New York City. Really tasteless. Yes. Poor taste.
Starting point is 00:20:33 I've had people, you know, privately have said, Rick, it's a joke. No, it's poor taste. And it's stupid in a campaign. In the last week of a campaign, at the biggest event of the campaign, it's stupid. They had quality speakers at this event. They had Dr. Phil. They had RFK. They had Tucker.
Starting point is 00:20:54 They had all of these. But we don't know anything about anything that they said. We just know about this guy calling Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage. What would we be talking about if we weren't talking about this? So it was poor taste, bad decision to put the guy up there. You would think that President Trump would immediately disassociate himself from it, but he hasn't. Now, some people in his campaign have made statements,
Starting point is 00:21:22 does not represent our views, and blah, blah, blah, blah, and all that kind of stuff. But I want you to see how fast this thing got legs. So the next one, this is political. Trump's Puerto Rico fallout is spreading like wildfire in Pennsylvania. And why is that? Because there's about a quarter million Puerto Rican voters in Pennsylvania. Right. And Pennsylvania could be decided by 10,000 votes.
Starting point is 00:21:49 He could lose Pennsylvania because of this. How stupid. Incredibly stupid, Doc. Yeah, I mean, if you were going to shoot yourself in the foot, this would be it. Why not just insult veterans? If you're trying to lose the election, insult veterans. Do something really stupid. You're down to the last week.
Starting point is 00:22:12 You have to win Pennsylvania. There's a quarter million Puerto Rican voters in Pennsylvania. As a matter of fact, there are twice as many Puerto Ricans on the mainland. Look, a lot of Americans don't realize Puerto Rico is American. And they're Americans. They are Americans. Puerto Ricans are Americans. They are as American as you are.
Starting point is 00:22:40 They're as American as Floridians. That's right. There are twice as many Puerto Ricans on the mainland USA as living now on Puerto Rico. So more Puerto Ricans are on the mainland here and going to be voting.
Starting point is 00:22:58 Miami. Massive population of Puerto Ricans. New York City is probably number one. There are six million Puerto Ricans. New York City is probably number one. There are 6 million Puerto Ricans in mainland USA. 3 million on the island. 250,000 Puerto Rican voters in Pennsylvania. Right.
Starting point is 00:23:23 The first thing Mr. Trump should have done is, like I said, apologize to the Puerto Ricans. I'm sorry. That should have never happened. I apologize. He will never appear at another Trump event. I have fired the people who approved it. End of story. Puerto Rican people would have dropped it.
Starting point is 00:23:40 It was over. But Mr. Trump says it's no big deal uh that's uh that's today yeah there's news week donald trump says puerto rico remarks not a big deal okay it is mr trump if you want to win the election it is a see he can't he can't apologize even when it's not his mistake. That's the thing. It's not your mistake, and you won't apologize. Right. Just apologize. Those words, I'm sorry, won't come out of his mouth.
Starting point is 00:24:17 Because that would appear to him, at least, as weakness. No, it would be humility, where you just say, I'm sorry. My campaign dropped the ball. This should never have happened. It won't happen again. And I love Puerto Rico and I am going to be a good president for Puerto Rico. That's what he should have said and be over. But that's not the end of the story. No, the garbage continues in this. So, the next thing is Joe Biden. Yesterday. Yesterday called Trump supporters garbage.
Starting point is 00:24:52 And they've been trying to walk this back since he said it. But he said it. I mean, there's no, oh, he's missing some punctuation here. No, he said it. They tried to say there was a missing. Well, you don't have a comma when you're speaking. You don't say something comma and then go on.
Starting point is 00:25:10 And he was speaking on a laptop, President Biden was. It's not like he had a teleprompter or anything. He was on his laptop. And then they said, well, he stutters. You have to make allowance for his stuttering. So you can lie as a starter is that
Starting point is 00:25:27 that is here is joe biden calling trump supporters garbage and just the other day a speaker at his rally called puerto rico a floating island of garbage well let me tell you something i don't i i don't know the puerto rican that i know or puerto rico where i'm in my home state of delaware they're good decent honorable people the only garbage i see floating out there is his supporters his his demonization scene is unconscionable and it's un-american clearly said the only garbage i see out there are his supporters right see so that is equal first of all it's it's just as bad as uh the comedian whatever it is sure calling the the island of puerto rico garbage it's just as bad as hillary clinton calling the trump supporters deplorable right
Starting point is 00:26:17 and you've got kamala harris trying to convince the voters that she is going to bring about unity. And now she she's stuck with a problem. OK, so how does she get out of this? Here is Kamala Harris trying to backpedal from what her boss just said about the Trump supporters. President Biden said this comment last night about garbage. Listen, I think that, first of all, he clarified his comments. But let me be clear, I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for. You heard my speech last night and continuously throughout my career. I believe that the work
Starting point is 00:27:07 that I do is about representing all the people, whether they support me or not. And as president of the United States, I will be a president for all Americans, whether you vote for me or not. That is my responsibility. And that's the kind of work that I've done my entire career, and I take it very seriously. Have you spoken to him about this? Rika, let me throw this out here. This is maybe it's a coincidence or maybe it was planned. So the other night, Kamala Harris had a big speech planned on the Ellipse off the mall in Washington, D.C. They were planning on doing a big push.
Starting point is 00:27:50 This was going to be her final appeal to undecided voters and everything. But President Biden made his remarks at the same time she was giving the speech. Oh, at the exact same time? Yes. And so this is part of a pattern that Biden has. Were he sabotaging her election? I'm just asking. Was it coincidence or did the team at the White House just not even check to see? Hey, Joe's on the laptop? Right. And there have been other instances like this. She was giving
Starting point is 00:28:20 a rally, I think, up in Michigan. And then Joe Biden did some speech just about a week ago. I don't remember all the details. And then there was the incident a month or so ago where he put the Trump hat on. Yes. And so, you know, I was like, all right, so what's going on here? Is this part of a pattern? He's bitter. He was pushed out by Nancy Pelosi and the gang.
Starting point is 00:28:40 He's bitter. And he's sabotaging Kamala Harris. Well, he's back in the spotlight now, isn't he? He's bitter. And he's sabotaging Kamala Harris. Well, he's back in the spotlight now, isn't he? He sure is. So where's Mr. Trump in all this as the garbage turns? Newsweek, Donald Trump, you turns on Biden calling supporters garbage. So now the ball is in his court and he's able to attack the Democrats for calling people garbage. But it's hard for Mr. Trump to take the high road in this because he's a name caller. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:10 He calls people names all the time. Yeah. And I didn't hear Tucker Carlson say it. I've read that he said it at that Madison Square Garden event that Tucker Carlson described Kamala Harris as a Samoan Malaysian low IQ. Yeah, I heard him say it. Did he say it? Oh, yes. He said it.
Starting point is 00:29:31 It's uncalled for. It's just uncalled for. Yeah, you know, can we just talk about the policies? Right. Biden-Harris policies are going to take us to the garbage dump. But it has nothing to do with them individually. They're taking us to the garbage dump. I don't like it.
Starting point is 00:29:53 I don't like it. And I regret in the past in this program, you know, I would use humorous things, try to make fun of. I don't want to do it anymore. The country's become so toxic, so divided, that nothing's funny anymore. It's just not funny. All of us need to stop. We need to watch the words that we're using.
Starting point is 00:30:17 And if you don't like Kamala Harris, you don't have to vote for her. But we don't have to call her names. And the Democrats, if they don't like Joe Biden, I mean, if they don't like Donald Trump, don't vote for him, but don't call him names and don't call his supporters names. They've been doing this for years, calling the Trump supporters all kinds of names, like deplorable and garbage. Low IQ. Yeah. We're talking about our fellow Americans.
Starting point is 00:30:46 We're all in the same country. We've got to live together. And we can't be calling each other names like this and then think that we're going to have a country. It's going to fall apart. Well, that Newsweek article, though, Rick, the title, the headline there, it's a bit disingenuous to me because they're putting all the blame on Donald Trump. It says, Donald Trump U-turns on Biden calling supporters garbage. Now, at the rally the other night, when he was informed by, of all people, Marco Rubio about the comments that President Biden made, he said, let's forgive him, let's move on and everything. But then in the past
Starting point is 00:31:24 couple of days, well, we saw the article earlier. We're supposed to call Marco Rubio. Hey, you come from an island of floating garbage. And I mean, that's right. It's not right. Okay. This I didn't show you the clip. This is Senator Rubio informing Donald Trump of what Joe Biden said. All right. Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but I have breaking news for you, Mr. President. You may not have heard this. Just moments ago, Joe Biden stated that our supporters are garbage. Are garbage. He's talking about the Border Patrol. He's talking about nurses. He's talking about teachers. He's talking about everyday Americans who love their country and want to dream big again and support you, Mr. President. And I hope their campaign is about to apologize
Starting point is 00:32:15 for what Joe Biden just said. We are not garbage. We are patriots who love America. And thank you for running, Mr. President. The President Wow. Wow. USA! USA! USA! That's terrible. That's what it says. That's what it says. That's what it says.
Starting point is 00:32:54 So you have, remember Hillary? She said deplorable. And then she said irredeemable, right? But she said deplorable. That didn't work out. Garbage, I think, is worse, right? But he doesn't know. You have to please forgive him.
Starting point is 00:33:09 Please forgive him, for he not knoweth what he said. All right, so the Democrats had the Republicans on the ropes over the Puerto Rico floating island, garbage island. They could have gotten another couple of days of mileage out of it. Yeah, they could have milked that for days, all right? So Joe Biden flipped it in favor of Donald Trump. You almost have to think, because Joe Biden's not a naive politician. The man's been around for decades. When I was a young man in Maryland,
Starting point is 00:33:48 he was in the Senate. I was young and he was in the Senate. I think when Lincoln was president, he was in. Joe Biden is a smart politician. I don't agree with him, but he's a smart politician. I think he
Starting point is 00:34:03 deliberately did that. I think so, too. That's the only conclusion. He doesn't want... It's not Kamala Harris that he's angry with. Well, maybe. I mean, it's Chuckie Schumer. The Democratic expo. I want to get back to her.
Starting point is 00:34:20 It's Charles Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, but also, Kamala Harris may have been much more Machiavellian behind the scenes than we know. She may have threatened the 25th Amendment against him privately. We don't know. We don't know what she did behind the scenes. So he may be very bitter, and he just gave it back to Donald Trump. Now, I want to move on to the next one.
Starting point is 00:34:47 Zero Hedge reported today, prepare for an October surprise. New York Times and Media Matters to drop hit piece on conservative news. Also, NewsGuard is involved in this. Oh, boy. So a number of so-called conservative news outlets, I Like Zero Heads are okay, Ben Shapiro I'm not okay with, Tucker Carlson, others,
Starting point is 00:35:18 have all been contacted by the New York Times for comments about an article that they're going to publish apparently this week. I checked the Times today, it wasn't there, but apparently they're doing a big hit piece on certain right-leaning news organizations, I guess accusing them of, I'm just guessing, misinformation, Russian influence. I don't know what it's going to be,
Starting point is 00:35:44 but they've got something that's coming out, and apparently it's big. And it's going to hit them very hard. So, watch for that. That might be tomorrow. But what story could possibly come out that would move the needle at this point? I think the election is
Starting point is 00:36:00 pretty much over. You know, 40, 50 million people have already voted. The majority of the people have already voted. Right. I mean, the majority of the votes are already cast. At least, I'm saying 50, 60% of the votes
Starting point is 00:36:14 are already cast. Either by mail or by early voting. Early voting. Yeah. That's right. So it's kind of late to do a hit piece
Starting point is 00:36:20 unless they're gearing up for the post-election battle and they're taking they're going to take down certain conservative news sites be prepared for that one dog when the election's over if trump wins they're still going to take them down if harris wins they're going to take them down when i say take them down they're going to launch attacks on them to destroy news websites that they believe are conservative. So I'm expecting that to happen after this election. One way or the other, there will be a war. Next one, I don't want to spend a lot of time on this one. Look at the headline. Colorado Secretary of State posted spreadsheet with voter voting system
Starting point is 00:37:05 passwords boy UK who who would put well first of all who would put passwords on a spreadsheet right okay I mean I would never put passwords on a spreadsheet. And I certainly wouldn't post them on the Internet. So are you telling me that voting systems are connected to the Internet and they have passwords? Is that what you're telling me? Weren't we told that they weren't connected to the Internet? That's what we were told. So the Colorado Secretary of State's office inadvertently posted a spreadsheet to its website with a hidden tab that included voting system passwords and a statement to 9 News. They said the department is working to as soon as it was aware of this and informed the cyber security infrastructure security agency which closely monitors and protects the country's
Starting point is 00:38:10 essential security infrastructure do you think the cyber security infrastructure security agency said why would you publish the passwords on the internet yeah they should be focused on foreign interference not stupidity on the part of election officials but i don't think it was stupidity i see doc i'm i'm with you i'm enough of a cynic to believe i'm with you an accident i'm with you it's like hey look over here we posted it there it is for you. So they're either trying to nullify the votes of folks there, or they're giving other people the opportunity to hack the system. That's right. Now, I'm going to go back to something I showed you at the beginning of the program. Here's the Fox TV5 headline in Washington, D.C., Monday night, or Monday, this was Monday
Starting point is 00:39:02 in the afternoon,.s capital complex evacuation drill plan for monday i want to show you the video once again there are the infamous black helicopters flying away from the u.s capital uh pretending to be escorting members of the house in the senate away from a, what, a burning Capitol? We don't know. What are they evacuating from? What is the scenario? Is the Capitol on fire? Has it been surrounded? Has it been hit with a missile? What's going on? What is the scenario? I'd like to know the scenario.
Starting point is 00:39:41 Is it a mob surrounding the Capitol? Is the Capitol building on fire? Has it been hit with a mortar? What are they planning for? Now, I'm showing you this to take you to the next article. Yonhap News. North Korea completes preparation to launch long-range missile. Now, there's a scenario.
Starting point is 00:40:10 There's a scenario that few people are thinking about. How about a missile right up the yin-yang of Washington, D.C. at the election time? Anybody thinking about that? Anybody thinking about Kim Jong-un shoving a missile into Washington, D.C.? He's preparing to launch a long-range missile.
Starting point is 00:40:37 Hey, I just, it's my mind, the way I see stuff, Doc. I have this thing of connecting stuff. Like, okay, evacuation of a capital over here, preparation for a long-range missile over here. Right. Could they be connected? Well, in this story, don't discount North Korea because they're preparing for a space-launched missile. Yes. That's what the article says.
Starting point is 00:41:02 We've got 10 minutes. Let's read this one. So North Korea has completed preparations to launch a long-range missile and has put a mobile launcher in place, South Korea's military intelligence agency said Wednesday. The DIA gave the assessment during a parliamentary audit, noting the launch could take place before or after the U.S. presidential election on November 5th. They've got intel, Rick. It appears that preparations are nearly complete. Now, listen to this. For an ICBM-class long-range missile, including a space launch vehicle, the DIA said.
Starting point is 00:41:34 That's according to Representative Lee Seon Kwon of the Ruling People Power Party and Reverend Park Sung-yoon of the main opposition Democratic Party. So nothing brings two oppositions together like a good war. So, Doc, are they saying that this long-range missile is delivering a space vehicle? Or are these two different vehicles? One is an ICBM, long-range missile. The other one is a space-launched vehicle. Well, it goes on in the article to say preparations for a transporter erector launcher are complete, and it has been deployed to a certain area, though it said no missile has been mounted yet.
Starting point is 00:42:13 Then the DIA also said the launch could involve an ICBM and be aimed at testing the North's atmospheric reentry technology. And so the only other information we have is based on the previous reporting in the article about a space launch vehicle. But then I found this article in Tokyo, Kyoto News. North Korea finishes preparation for nuclear test. This isn't the ICBM. This is a warhead. So they're launching an ICBM and testing it, a nuclear warhead at the same time? This is going to be quite a November, December time period, Doc. Don't plan to take off to go anywhere for vacation. We could have some serious news here to report. This
Starting point is 00:43:02 is Kyoto. Yes. So it says North Korea has completed preparations for a nuclear test at its Pyongyang nuclear test site for a possible test in November, South Korean lawmakers said Wednesday, after being briefed by the country's defense ministry. Pyongyang may also launch an ICBM in November, the lawmakers said. The defense ministry believes a nuclear test is set to be conducted at the nuclear test site with the timing to be decided by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un based on various aspects, including the U.S. presidential election next Tuesday, according to lawmakers. So if he's watching the election and he's making a decision based on the election about whether or not to fire an ICBM, what do you think he's watching for? Which one to win? Which one is more likely to send a missile?
Starting point is 00:43:52 What is the other issue he's involved in? Oh, Ukraine. He sent troops to Russia. Right. And he's fearing NATO will take action against him for becoming involved in Ukraine. If Mr. Trump wins the election, the Ukraine war is coming to an end. If Mrs. Harris wins the election, the Ukraine war is going to ramp up because she's going to do what the deep state wants her to do.
Starting point is 00:44:26 Right. Joe Biden will have November, December and three weeks in January to do whatever he wants to do in Ukraine. He's a lame duck. He can just do what he's got to do, what he wants to do. North Korea is looking at this as we might just get hit. Now look at the next article. North Korea beefing up security for Kim Jong-un due to assassination possibility. And that's coming from the South Korean DIA. So it says North Korea has been beefing up security for its leader, Kim Jong-un, due to fears of a possible assassination attempt,
Starting point is 00:45:05 South Korea's spy agency told lawmakers Tuesday. The National Intelligence Service told lawmakers that the country has raised the level of security around Kim due to possible attempts on his life by operating communications jamming vehicles and making efforts to introduce drone detection equipment. As it noted that Kim's public activities this year reached 110 times, up about 60% from last year. Look at the two things that they mentioned there, Rick. Operating communications jamming vehicles and making efforts to introduce drone detection equipment. So obviously North Korea has got a heads up, too. And they're expecting a drone to come in and take out
Starting point is 00:45:49 Kim Jong-un. You only need a small drone. It doesn't have to be a giant, big drone. And they've knocked down drones over the past couple weeks, North Korea has. They've come across the border. I'm going to go through some headlines. I've got five and a half minutes here.
Starting point is 00:46:09 Number 21, Yonhap, North Korean advance unit possibly deployed to Russia's front lines. This is according to the South Korean Department of Defense. The headline says it all. They're saying they believe that the North Korean troops have been deployed to curse, that they're prepared for military action, combat action. The next one, Zelensky, this was new to me. Zelensky asked for Tomahawk cruise missiles. So he did his tour of the West west was that last week yes and you know he was on his begging tour what's coming out now and we learned about it in the new york times so here's the headline from the new york times with limited options zielinski seeks a path forward for ukraine what we're learning now is that in his bigger cup, he was
Starting point is 00:47:06 asking for Tomahawk cruise missiles. And this is what the New York Times said. For weeks, President Zelensky has pushed Western leaders to support his victory plan, which he claims will end the war with Russia. But Zelensky has received only lukewarm rhetorical support. No country has allowed, has agreed to allow Ukraine to fire Western long-range missiles at targets in deep inside Russia. In one part not made public, here it is, this is New York Times, Mr. Zelensky proposed a non-nuclear deterrence package in which Ukraine would get Tomahawk cruise missiles, which New York Times says is a totally unfeasible request, according to a senior U.S. official. And this is a deep strike weapon.
Starting point is 00:47:55 There's no question about that. Tomahawk has a range of 1,500 miles, more than seven times the range of the Atacoms that Ukraine got this year. The U.S. has only sent a limited number of the attackums so far. So now before we came out here, Rick. This would go into the Ural Mountains. Right. I mean, it could hit basically anywhere in, you know, half of Russia.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Before I came out here doing a final scan on news, I saw a piece on X where Zelensky was asking a question, who leaked this Tomahawk information? Oh, really? Yeah. He was very upset. Let's get this quiet because it's the first time I've known about it. Yeah. He said, who leaked this information?
Starting point is 00:48:42 And he blamed the West. Who in the West leaked this information? And he blamed the West. Who in the West leaked this information? It was interesting to hear that come from him. Didn't have time to pursue it. That tells me that somebody inside the government, the U.S. government, is alarmed that he's asking for Tomahawk missiles and somebody's trying to sabotage that request. Yeah, putting the kibosh on it, yes. Not going to rule it out that he can't get it. Last one, I want to jump down to number 26, Fortune magazine.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Jamie Dimon says, World War III may have already begun. Mr. Dimon must be watching True News. That's what I was going to say. And I'm certain he's read The Fourth Turning is Here. Yes, Mr. Dimon, World War III has already begun. We're in it. And he astutely describes the conditions. So as J.P. Morgan, CEO, Jamie Diamond, isn't hugely optimistic about the state of global politics.
Starting point is 00:49:37 In fact, he thinks it's the biggest threat facing the economy. More than the economy, Mr. Diamond. It's our lives. But he now fears conflicts in the likes of Ukraine and the Middle East have begun a chain of events that may spiral into a third world war.
Starting point is 00:49:57 It's already started, sir. Speaking at the Institute of International Finance last week, Mr. Diamond said the outlook on the next quarter and whether the U.S. will have a hard or soft landing is a teeny matter compared with geopolitics. Russia, North Korea, Iran, as well as China are actively working together to dismantle the systems set up by the allies following World War II. In other words, it's a new world order. The new world order is being dismantled for a new new world order.
Starting point is 00:50:29 Again, he's watching us or he's tracking with us. I don't know if the man, well, I'm just joking. He's a smart man. He's tracking along with us. It just means that we're not the only people who see this, Doc. It says, referencing a Washington Post article, Diamond continued, World War III has already begun. You already have battles on the ground being coordinated in multiple countries.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Mistakes happen. Look at how we tripped into World War II when Czechoslovakia was split up. Sounds a little like Ukraine, that it was the end of it until they invaded Poland. We shan't be naive. What we should be thinking about is we can't take the chance this will resolve itself. We have to make sure that we are involved in doing the right things to get it resolved properly. Well, what is that, Mr. Diamond? You know, the Democrats should have nominated him.
Starting point is 00:51:29 He should have been the Democratic nominee instead of Kamala Harris. I mean, I don't agree with a lot of his politics, but he's a very smart man who knows what's going on in the world. He would have been a much better president, Kamala Harris, if the Democrats are going to win this thing. This is my own take, but they didn't. They didn't choose him, and he's aware that we're in World War III. Got to go.

So give yourself a pat on the back. There are very few weekday Bible studies that people attend by the thousands. So we're delighted that you're one of those people.
Starting point is 00:54:01 We're in the 25th chapter of the Gospel according to Saint Matthew and I'm going to pick it up today at the verse where we left off yesterday verse 34 and then we'll look at verses 35 and 36. I don't think we'll get beyond 36. so let's pray and then doc you can read verses 34 through 36 dear gracious father this is a wonderful day. This is the day that you have made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it because it's a choice. It's a state of mind. We choose to rejoice because this is the day that you have made. And we refuse to be depressed.
Starting point is 00:54:48 We refuse to be angry. we refuse to be depressed we refuse to be angry we refuse to be negative we refuse to be downcast we choose to rejoice because we have your joy and your joy is our strength and no problem will confront us today that we can't overcome because Jesus has overcome the world. Amen. And you are greater than any problem we will face today. So this is the day the Lord has made and we will rejoice. Father, we gather to study your word we humbly ask for holy spirit to take his seat at the head of the table and direct this bible study and teach all of us from your precious word in the name of jesus christ we pray amen amen and amen well good morning everyone welcome to morning man if
Starting point is 00:55:40 you've got your bibles please uh open them up to Matthew chapter 25. We're going to pick back up on verses 34 through 36 this morning. And read along with me. I'm reading from the King James today. Then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungered, and ye gave me meat. I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink. I was hungered, and you gave me meat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink.
Starting point is 00:56:07 I was a stranger, and you took me in. Naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came unto me. God bless the reading of his word today. Doc, I think for today's, the style I think will be more conversational. Feel free to interrupt and interject thoughts at any time. Likewise, people in the chat room, if you've got a question, Doc can read it. We can work our way through these verses there's there's
Starting point is 00:56:48 a lot of there's a lot to study and a lot to know and to comprehend in in these three verses now yesterday we left off with verse 34 then the king will tell those on his right hand, come, blessed are my father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. So let's recap what we studied yesterday. It's the king, Jesus Christ, who will tell those on his right hand. Who's on his right hand? The sheep. They separated. They gathered all the people. This on the day of of his return
Starting point is 00:57:27 the day of judgment the second coming of christ all of humanity going all the way back to adam and eve righteous and wicked are gathered together they are separated according to their nations and then they're subdivided in their nations according to sheep and goats goats on the left sheep on the right goats are going to the barbecue pit in the lake of fire Beelzebub's barbecue the the sheep on the right are going into eternal life with God our Father, Jesus Christ our King, the Holy Spirit, in New Jerusalem, on the new earth. The right hand means, to sit at the right hand means you are favored. You've been given a position of honor and favor.
Starting point is 00:58:27 You have been placed at the right hand of the king. He said, come. He didn't say go. He said, come. See, go is a command. Go away from me. I've got work for you to do. He said, go into all the world.
Starting point is 00:58:45 Go into all the world. Guys, get going. Move. Go. Go into all the world. That's what we're supposed to be doing now. During this time between the ascension of Christ and the second coming, we are to go.
Starting point is 00:59:02 When he comes back, he says, come. Yes. See, the work is over the going ceases when he returns it's now time to come he sends us out in this life go go in my name go into all the world when he returns he says children come come to me he says blessed of my father blessed means happy come to me those of you who are happy you've been made happy by my father praise god and. And inherit the kingdom. Don't earn the kingdom.
Starting point is 00:59:50 You can't buy the kingdom. You don't deserve the kingdom. But you're going to inherit the kingdom. It's in the will. I wrote a will before I went on the cross. Oh, before he created everything. Before the foundation of the will. I wrote a will before I went on the cross. Oh, before he created everything. Before the foundation of the world.
Starting point is 01:00:10 Prepared for you from the foundation of the world. Think about that. He wrote the will before you were born. Before he made the universe. Oh, man. Jesus Christ. Wrote his will. Before. The universe was created.
Starting point is 01:00:33 And we inherit. All the promises in the will. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He's the only person to write a will. Die. Come back to life, and be the executor of his will. Praise the Lord. That's good. Try to pull that one off.
Starting point is 01:01:00 You know anybody else who's capable of doing that? Only Jesus. Only Jesus. So that's what this verse 34 means we've been invited he's come back then see what is the then the then is after the separation of humanity according to nations and then according to goats and sheep then the king looks to the right who's on the right the sheep the righteous they're on his right he invites them come your father has made you happy inherit the kingdom it's prepared for you by the, it was made for you before he invented, before he created the universe. That's how much he loves you.
Starting point is 01:01:52 That sentence alone should make you do cartwheels. I mean, if you can comprehend verse 34, you should be so energized to go through life with the excitement, the joy, the happiness of knowing that you're inheriting the kingdom of God that was prepared for you before God made the universe. It's mind-boggling.
Starting point is 01:02:28 Yes. I don't know how any people, how can any person who claims to be Christian go through life miserable. Miserable, complaining, griping, full of anger, bitterness, no joy, no happiness. How can you do it? How can you say you're a Christian and not be full of happiness and joy? You're blessed of my Father. Look, people who are perpetually unhappy and miserable and complaining, only God knows that they're saved. But I would say on the exterior, there's no evidence of it.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Right. There's no evidence of it. How would that witness attract other people to come to Christ? Oh, I want to be like that person. He or she is miserable all the time. I want to be just like them. They're a Christian. Look how miserable they are.
Starting point is 01:03:37 Who would want it? No, you want to project happiness, joy. Why are you so happy? Oh, because I'm blessed in my father. I've inherited the kingdom. He prepared it for me from the foundation of the world. That's why I'm so happy. That's why I'm joyful.
Starting point is 01:04:01 That's why I'm confident. Now, you talk like that to people, they're going, hey, I want to get me some of that. Right. What do I have to do to get some of that? Oh, it's easy. Confess your sins, repent, believe on the name of Jesus, and be baptized in water. You got it. That's it? Yeah, that's it. It can't be in water. You got it. That's it?
Starting point is 01:04:25 Yeah, that's it. It can't be that simple. Yeah, it's that simple. See, people are not living for Christ because it looks too simple. The part that's not easy is dealing with the people who don't want you to be happy. That's true. And there's a lot of them because misery loves company. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:04:53 They see joy in your face, they're going to wipe it off your face. How dare you be happy? We're in a miserable world. And you're going to be miserable too and even those and even in those times where we find ourselves uh down depressed and grieving we don't make it a lifestyle uh you know the word of god says uh tears may last for a night but joy comes in the morning that that the idea is here that you're blessed that there is an attitude of joy and thankfulness and blessedness in your life and yes there's going to be
Starting point is 01:05:33 circumstances there's going to be loss there's going to be grief in this life but it's not permanent because you have you have a promise you have a promise. You have a promise. You're in the will, folks. You're in the will. King David had more than his fair share of trouble. But he encouraged himself in the Lord. Yes. He had a formula that worked for him.
Starting point is 01:06:10 When he was depressed, when he was lonely, when he felt defeated, when enemies were trying literally to chop his head off, when he was hiding in a cave, when he was on the run, when he was in battle, he would encourage himself in the Lord. He'd write a song. Or he'd tell a story. Yeah. He'd testify.
Starting point is 01:06:34 We would say today he testified. He would testify to others what God had done for him. I've said this in the past. I can imagine David saying to someone, did I ever tell you about the time I killed a bear with my bare hands? Oh, yeah, David, we've heard that story. I know, but did I tell you, did I describe the bear's breath? Let me tell you, that bear was so close to me, I can still smell his breath. Did I tell you that part?
Starting point is 01:07:03 No, you didn't tell us. Well, let me tell you about that. See, he was going to tell that story over and over. What about the, did I ever tell you the day I brought down that big oath named Goliath? Oh yeah. We heard that story a thousand times. Well, you're going to hear it one more time.
Starting point is 01:07:20 Did I tell you about his body odor? Did I tell you how bad he stunk? I could barely get close to him, but whack him in the head. Did I tell you I brought four extra stones in case his brothers showed up too? That's right. In a club.
Starting point is 01:07:38 I had a staff in my hand. I was going to beat him. He kept telling the stories. Why? He was encouraging himself in the Lord. He would remind himself, that's right, the Lord gave me victory. The Lord brought me out of the situation. The Lord protected me. That's what you have to do in your life. Think back. When did God make provision for you? When did he come to your rescue? When did he open a door of opportunity for you? Talk about it.
Starting point is 01:08:12 Get the smile on your face. Blessed of my father. Happy of my father. The Beatitudes. Happy is the person. All right? It's happiness. We serve a happy God.
Starting point is 01:08:29 He's just happy. And he wants his children to be happy. And he's giving us the kingdom. The whole kingdom. Here, it's yours. I made it for you. Wasn't it your kingdom? Yeah, but I'm giving it to you.
Starting point is 01:08:50 Think about that. God is giving us his kingdom. Yes. It's... Doc, can never thought about this after the second coming and he gives the kingdom to us can can God our Father kind of kick back and relax you thinking he's retiring or anything or well there's no warfare going on anymore right he's not watching out think about he's since the beginning of the world how much attention and focus and activity has been directed towards the righteous on earth when death is dead when satan is locked up forever when there's no more sin what does he have to do other than to be happy with his children what do you ever think about it
Starting point is 01:10:00 what else does he have to do other than than to be happy with his children well when you give the kingdom to your heirs they're running the kingdom at that point right so that's what it sounds like to me so he can just be himself he doesn't have to he doesn't have to rescue his children anymore he doesn't have to listen to cries and wails and hear the sorrow on earth he doesn't have to see that anymore it's over see it's a blessing to him finally all this will end he will be glad to believe me he's gonna be glad
Starting point is 01:10:50 when all this misery on earth comes to an end so this I will look at verse 35 and 36 for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat I was thirsty you gave me drink I was a stranger and you took me in I was naked and you clothed me I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me. described in these two verses are should not be seen as meritorious for obtaining the kingdom but they should be seen as evidence of God's grace in the lives of the believers who inherit the kingdom that was prepared for them. Right. We don't obtain the kingdom. We inherit the kingdom. We don't earn the kingdom. We can't earn it.
Starting point is 01:12:08 But here's the people who inherit the kingdom are those who do these things right this is evidence of their citizenship yes so while believers are promised a reward for our good works it's a reward of grace not not merit. The reward is based on their adoption as children of God and their justification through faith in Christ. Now here's the paradox. I just said you can't earn the kingdom. You don't deserve the kingdom. You can't earn the kingdom you don't deserve the kingdom you can't obtain the kingdom but works are indispensable to salvation when you read these verses this is telling us these are the conditions for receiving
Starting point is 01:13:12 the reward of eternal life to inherit the kingdom so there's a paradox we don't inherit the kingdom because of our good works yet the good works are required to inherit the kingdom okay can you explain it better than me because it's one of those things that is very uh deep and a mystery we we can't earn our salvation, and yet our salvation depends on us doing these works. Right. Well, when you start thinking that any real good work that we do in our own life,
Starting point is 01:13:56 if it's done in the flesh, it's not a good work at all. I mean, it's not. So any genuine work that will pass the fire has to be prompted by the love of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. I mean, we can't work our way to salvation. There's nothing, there is no one thing that we can do that will say, that's it.
Starting point is 01:14:22 That's how you get to heaven. No, this should be a natural outgrowth of who we are as citizens of the kingdom these are the things that kingdom citizens do we visit those in jail we feed the poor we do those things not as a thing to check off on a list, but the things that we do as it's just our nature living in the world. That we look for the opportunity to serve God through the good works that we do. Christian, never feeds the hungry, never gives a drink to the thirsty, never takes in a stranger, never clothes the naked, never visits the sick, never visits the prison. Can that person inherit the kingdom? I don't know if they're a kingdom citizen or not how how can they claim to be a kingdom citizen and don't do the things that kingdom
Starting point is 01:15:29 citizens do it just doesn't make sense and so you would really have to do some soul-searching there to say am i a citizen of the kingdom or not because I'm not doing these things it's a matter of the heart the heart has to be transformed rick i mean um you know if the heart isn't changed i mean there's no entrance into heaven from that so look i gotta be doc i mean you know each of us if we do a a introspection of ourselves, we go down this list. Feeding the hungry. Giving drink to the thirsty.
Starting point is 01:16:15 Bringing strangers in. Clothing the naked. Visiting the sick. Visiting the imprisoned. I can't check off every one of those as that hey I've done this this year have I visited anybody was in prison you see what I'm saying I mean this is serious stuff you have If you use this as a checklist, how many of those can you check off? I'm pretty good at feeding the hungry.
Starting point is 01:16:55 I'm pretty good at helping people in need. I'm pretty good at praying for people who are sick. But there's some other things where I'm woefully lacking. And that's what each one of us should be asking ourselves today. How are we measuring up on these items? So, Jesus enumerates these acts such as feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, welcoming strangers, all these things. These are acts of mercy.
Starting point is 01:17:44 And they demonstrate your love and your compassion towards others we can think of ourselves as having love and compassion towards all the people with these needs but are we so busy with daily life that we never exercise never implement our love and compassion but love and compassion is there but we don't implement it because we're so busy we're so busy about our own lives other virtues faith prayer purity are important but in these verses Jesus is focusing on works of mercy because they are indicative of the character the, the virtue of the person. Rosanna... It speaks of the character of the person.
Starting point is 01:18:55 Rosanna is asking, are these limited to physical or can spiritual works be counted for that too oh i think it's it's it's much broader but in these verses jesus is dealing with very specific physical things right so these acts of mercy reveal that the the doer the person possesses something of god within them see it's god's spirit in you that allows you to do these things the word enthusiasm actually means god's spirit within you
Starting point is 01:19:47 when you're enthusiastic about doing something it literally means God's Spirit is within you these acts of mercy reveal that God's Spirit of mercy and grace and love are in you you're exhibiting his character you you become his hands and feet. Jesus isn't walking the earth anymore. He walks through us. The Holy Spirit resides in us. You've known for years. We are his hands. We are his feet. We are his mouth. If he's going to get something done on earth, it's going to be through
Starting point is 01:20:26 his disciples. So these verses are highlighting that these fundamental human needs, I would say Food, water, clothing, shelter. All of them are a direct way for us to show compassion. These are basic rights that every human has. No human should be starving. No human should be dying of thirst. No human should be naked, unable to clothe himself or herself. So these are, Jesus is identifying himself intimately with those in need. He's saying, these people who are hungry, these people who are naked, that's me. I'm identifying myself with the poor.
Starting point is 01:21:46 You know, right now, the Christian Zionists are all super excited about Israel killing off the Palestinians. They're getting ready to claim the land of Gaza. They're going to kill off the Palestinians in the West Bank. They're going to build settlements. This is
Starting point is 01:22:02 biblical prophecy being fulfilled. Isn't it wonderful no no if jesus was physically on the earth he would be in gaza today he would be holding little children in gaza today he would rebuke these people in the American churches who were using his name to condone the killing, the starvation of innocent people in Gaza. You've got people in churches defending Netanyahu's siege of Gaza to cut off the food, the water, The energy. To cut off medical care. Blow up the hospital.
Starting point is 01:22:46 You've got preachers defending. Those abominable actions. Right. If Jesus was on this earth. He would be in Gaza. If. Christ allows me. After this war, I will be in Gaza. If I can get there after this war, I will go to Gaza.
Starting point is 01:23:22 There will be years and years of rebuilding society. Yes. Do you know how many orphaned children are in Gaza right now? Only God knows. Children just wandering around, both parents dead. Toddlers, 34 or 5 years old.
Starting point is 01:23:39 Just wandering around. Their parents are dead. Do you know how many orphanages need to be built in gaza you think those jews are going to let anybody build an orphanage for palestinian children now they want those kids dead how dare anybody use the name of Jesus Christ to defend those killers? You can't read these verses and then defend what the Jews are doing to the Palestinian people. Amen. You just can't. You can't read these verses. The people are naked. They're without food. They're without water. They're without homes.
Starting point is 01:24:30 There's no better example on the planet today than the people in Gaza. The churches in America should be weeping and crying for them. Instead, they're cheering for the killers. Yes. Kill some more. So the Bible prophecy is fulfilled that's not Bible'm there with them any kindness you show to the poor you're showing kindness to me so there's a a deep spiritual connection between Jesus Christ and the poor the vulnerable the oppressed to persecute it
Starting point is 01:25:28 and I'm starting to talk like a Presbyterian I would go I would go over well on Presbyterian churches, wouldn't I? Feeding the hungry. Who's he speaking of? Is he speaking of the poor of the world in general or only those who are in the church? That's a legitimate question that's open for debate. Right. Because later on in the passage, it talks about when you did it to one of my brothers, you've done it unto me.
Starting point is 01:26:14 Right. So is that a limitation to either those who were considered, you know, part of the family of Jews, or is he speaking about the world here? So those are legitimate questions to ask in this passage. Right. I alternate on it. Sometimes I'm like,
Starting point is 01:26:35 we're only supposed to be helping Christians. Other times I'm like, no, we're to show the love of God by helping the poor in general. It's just when you meet somebody who's hungry, you just have to feed them. Okay. You just have to feed them. So let's go down the list.
Starting point is 01:27:01 Feeding the hungry. It's very obvious. Providing food to those in need. When the earthquake happened in Haiti 2010, True News was one of the first organizations on the ground. Within one week of that earthquake, within the first week, we partnered with another ministry and we sent tons. We purchased tons of food and bottled water and tents and clothing and flashlights. We literally bought tons of it. And the other ministry paid for the aircraft to ship it there. we built we had a full-time employee who lived in Haiti on an American the
Starting point is 01:28:13 conditions were horrible he went there full-time and was building military style tents that we purchased very dirty tents why because there were so many orphans in Haiti after that earthquake that the local pastors didn't know what to do with all the kids yes and Yes. And so we were going to these churches, and lots of times the churches had fallen down. And so we built these military tents. Think of a large, very large tent that would hold, you know, 40, 50 children. We bought beds. But the one thing that personally I made sure of, and I would make visits to Haiti,
Starting point is 01:29:18 and I would travel from orphanage to orphanage. And when I say orphanage, I'm not talking about buildings. I'm talking about in the rainforest, there would be tents that we put up just out in the middle of nowhere in the in the rainforest we would put up tents and that's where the churches were taking care of the children but i would travel to all of them and make sure that they had food the very first thing i would say when I drive is show me your pantry. And I still had the images in my mind of
Starting point is 01:29:55 pastors pulling back a curtain or opening something and saying this is it. And like, that's all the food you have that's it yes sir that's it okay let's go we're going to go find food and i would i would go and just load up that car with all the food i could buy bring it back drop it off no, they're going to have enough food for maybe a month. Move on to the next one. I couldn't stand the thought of children hungry. It just, it troubles me that children were hungry.
Starting point is 01:30:43 So feeding the hungry is one of the most important things you can do give drink to the thirsty there was a time that we we drilled wells in Kenya because there was a great drought in in Kenya part of Africa we bought a well drilling machine and we were we were paying others with equipment to drill wells to get water to people what can I do to quench their thirst the next one now this is challenging hospitality why is it challenging because in in the eastern culture even today doc knows this because we've traveled together in in the middle east middle easterners arabs are tremendously hospitable yes they'll start a conversation
Starting point is 01:31:43 with you on the street and next thing you know they're begging you to come home and eat dinner with them. They've got your arm and arm dragging you back to their house. My family loves them. They are loving hospitable warm people and they love to bring strangers to their homes and and feed them i've never seen anything like it and here in america anywhere this could be in the city or out in the middle of nowhere i mean remember that we were i forget what what day it was when we were in jordan but we were out in the middle of just sand that was it and we met some guys and and the one guy had his arm wrapped around
Starting point is 01:32:27 yours he said oh come to my house come with me come with me sir and uh it was just you know he was begging for the the opportunity to be hospitable to you and it i think that was i think i think that was in the area of Petra. I think so too. But that's the whole general attitude. You know, this whole imagery that most people here in the West have of the Middle East and Islam and everything, it's tragic, really, the picture that's been painted because the picture that's been painted is you've got a billion people out here and they've got a big sword
Starting point is 01:33:11 and they're just getting ready to cut your head off anytime. My experience has proved the exact opposite. I've experienced a greater sense of hospitality and openness from Muslims than I have from many, many Christians. That's right. It's just the truth. And it's not Islam.
Starting point is 01:33:33 It's the Arab culture. Yeah, yeah, I agree. It's the Arab culture. The Arab culture is very loving and very hospitable. So we have a lot to learn from it but here's the challenge for us today in the modern world like in the united states inviting a stranger into your home is dangerous it's just dangerous you see somebody who's homeless to bring them into your home they could either be mentally ill a drug addict an alcoholic a criminal a rapist you don't know who you're bringing into your home
Starting point is 01:34:20 so this this is a challenge for us in this modern age. Lord, how do we fulfill your requirement to be hospitable when it's so physically dangerous? I mean, there are times, Doc, I want to bring somebody, just come over, sit down at my table. And I think, I don't know who, I don't know if this person has a knife. How many times have you read an article about a loving, warm Christian man or woman who opened up their homes to a stranger and they were killed? So it's a challenge. But we are required to be hospitable. Hospitable is to be warm and loving and welcoming and you know, you're bringing somebody into your area your life it's embracing people not just physical but emotionally embracing them the naked okay so the naked are not dressed sufficiently.
Starting point is 01:35:52 If you're in a cold climate and the temperatures are very cold and it's snowing and you see somebody without a coat and you know that that person is too poor to buy a coat, that person is too poor to buy a coat that person is naked they don't have the money to buy the clothing that they need if you look at their shoes and they're walking around in the snow in flip-flops you know that they're not clothed that's when it's your responsibility to get them clothing right um rick i i saw a commentary on that particular passage naked and you you clothed me and one of the commentators and i never had thought about this before said uh that word naked there could be you know they're not nude okay right uh but uh what they're referring to is when uh when you were in debt you owed somebody some money
Starting point is 01:36:59 you would uh sometimes have to give up your cloak you you know, your covering that you would wrap yourself in, if you were, you know, that you lived in, basically. Right. You'd have to give them a cloak as a surety that you're going to pay that debt. And so another way that this could be looked at here, and I kind of like the idea idea is that i was in debt and you helped me you knew i was broke you knew i was destitute i didn't have a cloak to wrap myself in and you close me not just but taking care of them it goes along with the hospitality idea okay so that that leads us into we'll be talking about visiting the sick and visiting prisoners and and although it doesn't mention orphans james tells us that that true religion perfect religion is visiting widows and orphans in their affliction.
Starting point is 01:38:06 So let's talk about visitation. The Greek word used is a big long one, episkeptomai. Oh, very good, Rick. Oh, don't ask me to do that again, Doug. I got it out. Okay. This is the Greek word used for visited. It means, now see, we think of visited.
Starting point is 01:38:41 Okay, I stopped by, I looked in, and I visited and i visited you okay no it's deeper than that yeah it means to look upon to look after to inspect to examine to see how he or she is to go see for oneself to look upon in order to help or benefit someone to look after to care for someone to provide for someone it's more than just hey i'm knocked on the door and visit you and you know goodbye i'll see you later now this is a visitation it's Greek word is often associated with the gracious visitation of God. It has a very spiritual meaning to it. It carries the sense of not merely stopping by, but providing oversight, attention, deep personal care. And it's connected to a bishop or an overseer watching over his flock. So it speaks of God's own visitation in times of need.
Starting point is 01:40:09 There are times when God visits you. When his Holy Spirit, we know his Holy Spirit's with us all the time. But there are times when he visits, when he takes extra time to look upon you, to consider your situation, to care for you. I remember when I was extremely sick with COVID. I remember just lying in bed so sick and i remember saying papa your son is very sick please tend to me papa that was a heart cry i need my dad right now your son is sick please papa please come to my bed and tend to me.
Starting point is 01:41:07 I'm very sick. I had never been that sick in my life. I cried for my father to come to my bed and take care of me. And he did. He healed me. He healed me. I thought I was going to die. But I didn't. I shall live. He shall not die, but shall live and declare the glory of the acts of kindness bring about a divine visitation in somebody's life.
Starting point is 01:41:55 There's a sweet aroma of heaven when you visit somebody in the name of the Lord. To care for them, To take care of them. To meet their needs. To look after them. When they're struggling. When they're so sick they don't know what to do. When they're weak. And somebody shows up who literally, truly, honestly cares.
Starting point is 01:42:25 It's God working at that moment. We've talked about nakedness, that it also means being poorly clothed, inadequately dressed. Not having enough clothing brings shame doc i had a thought today i have not had this thought i don't can't even remember it was from elementary school so this would this would go back to late 50s early 60s I had forgotten about this girl forgotten her name and she came from an
Starting point is 01:43:19 extremely poor family I grew up in Western Maryland. This is Appalachia. But this girl came from the poor of the poor in Appalachia. And her clothing, I can remember in elementary school, first, second grade, I can remember
Starting point is 01:43:40 how poor her dress was. It just, you know, she never had a new piece of clothing on ever. And even back then, and this is in the late 50s and the 60s, I remember how cruel the other children treated her because she was poor. I thought about that today. There was somebody that nobody, no adult in that school ever said,
Starting point is 01:44:24 I'm going to go buy clothing for this child none of the teachers none of the administrators nobody none of the parents ever said this child is pitiful i was this morning wondering i wonder what happened to her she was living in such a poverty stricken family. But nobody bothered to buy her some clothing. What was it going to cost them to buy her some new dresses and some shoes? Make her feel as good as the other children.
Starting point is 01:45:04 See, there's shame in being poor. You may say, well, no, there is. There's shame. When you're poor, yeah. Not that it's wrong, but that it's shameful because others are looking at you in such a disrespectful way.
Starting point is 01:45:28 They're looking at your clothing and not you, none of your heart. Sickness. Sickness is not just the physical ailments. It's mental. It's emotional suffering. Those are sicknesses. I'll be imprisoned. So,
Starting point is 01:46:00 I can't think of the last time I visited somebody in prison. But, Doc, I haven't said this to you for about months. I would go back to somewhere around July I started thinking we need to start a prison ministry in this community I drove past a prison that I didn't know I didn't know existed in this area a state institution I didn't know it existed South way out in the country it's large it's big It's got thousands of prisoners. But hey, that's within driving range. I could start going to that prison once a week.
Starting point is 01:46:54 You know, I could hold a Bible study in that prison. So think about it, my friends. Take the word of God and take the love of God to a prison near you, to a jail. If there's not a prison, there's a jail. I guarantee you there's a jail. There's a city or county jail. And just go there and love them people. You have to get accepted by the warden.
Starting point is 01:47:24 There's a process. Yes. You have to get accepted by the warden. There's a process. Yes. But once you get accepted, you'll have access. There are Christians who are in prison in many countries. Suffering for Christ. Does anybody visit them? Does anybody write to them?
Starting point is 01:47:51 Paul had visitors. He would tell, hey, bring them, you know, he'd give them a list. Hey, the next time you come by, remember to bring these things for me. Bring me my scrolls yes I bring my Bible study materials I guess the letters I need to write so we got these seven works of mercy feeding clothing visiting the sick caring for prisoners, giving water to drink to those who are thirsty, sheltering the homeless, clothing the naked.
Starting point is 01:48:36 And these are acts of compassion to meet the physical needs of humans that are required by Jesus. And then he said, the least, the least of these. I believe it refers to just anybody who's in a state of suffering whether he mentioned them in the list or not hey and at least if they just if you see somebody suffering go to them in my name they'll see me you see me and they're suffering and the sufferer will see me in your coming. And Christ is glorified. He's exalted. These acts of compassion
Starting point is 01:49:41 reflect our love for Jesus Christ. And they are tangible, real expressions of his love for others. It's one thing to say to somebody, I love you, but if you don't do anything for them,
Starting point is 01:50:02 how much love do you have? James said the same thing. Hey, if you just say, I'll pray for you, brother, I understand you're hungry. I'll pray that God gets you some food. But you didn't feed the person. What good was your prayer? I recently had a situation that still bothers me. I think I mentioned this several months ago. It was on a Sunday. I stopped at a convenience store nearby to get gas and I was filling up my tank and this young man maybe 35 years old came
Starting point is 01:50:48 up to me and asked me for work he didn't ask for money he asked for work and I looked at him as a young man are you you're seriously looking for work he goes yes sir yes sir I don't I'm not asking you for money I'm at I need a job And I said, sir, there's jobs everywhere here. And he goes, they won't hire me. I go, why won't they hire you? Everybody's got help wanted signs. He goes, I'm a convict. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:51:17 I said, okay. When did you get out of prison? He goes, a month ago. What prison? He told me it was in Kentucky. I said, how long ago. What prison? He told me he was in Kentucky. I said, how long were you in prison? He went to prison when he was 17 years old. He was 35 years old. This just happened months ago.
Starting point is 01:51:37 He spent half of his life in prison. And he had just been released from Kentucky. Now he's down in Florida. And he can't get a job because when they ask you about it, well what have you done in the past couple years? I was in prison. How long were you in prison? Since I was 17. Well obviously he did something really bad.
Starting point is 01:52:00 I didn't ask him. Well you had to do something really bad to be sentenced at age 17 to that many years in prison. But I just saw he was a believer. I asked him. He said, no, I got saved in prison. And he made a comment. He said he's looking around at the people at the gas station, at the convenience store. And he goes, hey, these people are in prison.
Starting point is 01:52:30 I said, I know. He goes, they're zombies. He goes, I mean, literally what he said was, when I got out of prison, I can't even recognize this world. I don't know what it is. He said, these people are zombies. I said, I know. know what it is he said these people are zombies i said i know so um susan i i tell you i had susan with me doc i i hesitated putting him in the car because of susan i thought I'm going to put this young prisoner, you know, ex-prison convict in the car sitting behind my wife. And for all I know, he's got a switchblade. I don't know. I don't know what to do. And so I gave him some money for lunch. And I said,
Starting point is 01:53:21 his name was James. I said, James, you know, I'm going to pray for you. God is going to change your life. And something new is going to happen for you today. He gave me a hug. He was a very kind young man. And I drove away and I went home. And I was home for about two hours and I was under. I told Susan, I got to go back and find him.
Starting point is 01:53:47 We're going to put him in a hotel. We're going to buy him clothing. I contacted a young man that used to work for us who now manages a business. I said, hey, I got a guy that ex-con needs a job. He said, bringing him over i've got a i've got a uh literally a ditch digging job open right now because i i need a ditch digger he said i'll hire him right away the susan i jumped in the car and went over to where we saw him he was gone i drove all around that area I drove up and down all the side streets I he told me I asked him where he was sleeping and he told me the woods where he was
Starting point is 01:54:36 sleeping there's a lot of that down here a lot of it they're sleeping in the woods and he told me the specific location I knew exactly where it was I would say was about two to three miles away from where I was at and doc every day for weeks I would go to that woods and call his name James no answer I drive around the whole area looking for him. He disappeared. He disappeared. He just completely disappeared.
Starting point is 01:55:14 And one of two things happened. Either he wasn't a human, he was an angel, or a God answered my prayer, and the next person who came to him took him and and changed his life because that's what i prayed i said god is going to do something for you today your life's going to change today so one of those two things happened and to this day i continue praying god if james is still here please show me this young man i will take care of him he's an ex-prisoner he's homeless he's he barely was dressed he said look at me rick you know i told him my name he goes look at me, Rick. You know, I told him my name. He goes, look at me. He goes, in prison, I had a nice clean uniform. Look at the way I'm dressed.
Starting point is 01:56:09 He said, these are the only clothes I have. He was wearing sandals. He had everything, just about everything you could list in this verse. That was James so these people are around us and they they need our love they need our compassion they need our attention they need the love more than they need the money the money is secondary love on these people you know if i could find him if i could find james we would house him we would buy him clothing we would get him a job we would find him transportation we would we would fellowship with him we would show him a family because welcoming
Starting point is 01:57:11 in the stranger literally means you welcomed me into your family you receive me into your house one translation says you gathered me unto your the bosom of your family that's intimacy there yes you gathered me into the bosom of your family you brought me in and made me a part of your family you see there's a lot more in these two verses than we think when we just read them. It's much deeper. And it's all connected to the last day. Yes.
Starting point is 01:57:55 To the second coming. These are the questions Jesus will ask. Did you clothe me? Did you feed me? Did you visit me? He's going to ask everybody these questions. And this is the final exam. Pass this one, you inherit the kingdom.
Starting point is 01:58:22 Because that's what this is about, inheriting the kingdom because that's what this is about inheriting the kingdom you pass these questions you inherit the kingdom alright I'm over to Tom yeah we're over a little bit and so well folks I hope you got a lot out of this lesson today that there's a lot of meat in here we're not a milk ministry we are
