TRUNEWS with Rick Wiles - Morning Manna - August 19, 2025 - Proverbs 9:16-18 - Stolen Waters, Secret Graves
Episode Date: August 19, 2025In today's Morning Manna, we examined the deadly appeal of foolishness masquerading as wisdom. The foolish woman extends her invitation to the simple, luring them with promises of secret pleasures and... stolen delights. But what looks sweet soon turns bitter—her house is filled with the dead, and her path leads straight to hell. This sobering passage reminds us that every invitation must be weighed not by how it feels, but by where it leads. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Morning, Manna. It's Tuesday. We are delighted to have you with us. We're studying the book of Proverbs. We're in the ninth chapter. We're going to finish it up today, verses 16, 17, and 18, and move on to chapter 10 tomorrow. Let's pray. Doc, we'll then read the three scriptures, and we'll jump into these verses today. Almighty God, thank you for this wonderful day. Father, bless the teaching of your.
your word in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. All right. I get you drink there, Mr. Wiles, and I'll read
the scriptures here. Good morning. I'm glad to have you here and want to just welcome some countries
today. We don't do this very often, but we'd like to remind people that this is an international
Bible study. Of course, we have several friends in Russia that are tuning in. We have several
people in Malaysia, Rick, that join us on a regular basis, Rachel and Chris. We have folks
in Norway, in the United Kingdom, of course, Japan, the Philippines, Guatemala, and Brazil
today. And so we are so blessed and privileged to have you here with us all over the world and across
the U.S. and Canada today. We are reading from Proverbs chapter 9 as we continue our study
of wisdom. And we're picking back up on verse 16, finishing out chapter nine today. And I'm reading
from the King James this morning. Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither. And as for him that
wanteth understanding, she say it to him, stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is
pleasant. But he knoweth that not the dead are there. He knoweth not that the dead are there,
and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
God bless the reading of his word today. Amen.
Verse 16.
Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither, and as for him that wanteth understanding she saith to him.
Modern English.
Whoever is simple, let him turn in here.
As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him.
Well, let's begin with the first segment.
Whoever is simple, let him turn in here.
This is, what we, what we're going to see here is this is a direct imitation.
Yes.
This is Folly's imitation of Wisdom's invitation.
Right. Back in verse four. Yes. It's the same words. Verse four, whoso is simple and turn in hither.
Identical words, Doc. Yeah. So Proverbs 9.4, as Doc just stated, wisdom said,
whoever is simple, let him turn in hither as for him that wanteth understanding she saith to him.
Wait a minute. That's what we just read in verse.
That's right.
So foolishness, folly is imitating wisdom.
What can we learn from this?
So what we're seeing here is the subtle cunning temptation.
It does not appear in
a grotesque form it even appears spiritual folly imitates wisdom word for word for what purpose to fool people
to deceive people uh the word simple and we we talked about this yesterday uh the hebrew word is
And I was wondering how to pronounce this.
So I looked it up here this morning.
It's a pathi, P-E-T-H-I, Pthi.
It refers to the naive, the uninformed, those who lack spiritual discernment, those who are unstable.
They have malleable souls, meaning they're like,
It's like silly party. It can be formed. It's like clay. You can moat it.
Right. Easily influenced. Easily influenced.
Bally's invitation here is not neutral. She is strategically seductive. And she crafted her words to sound identical to the woman of wisdom.
false gospels
use the same language of the true gospel
you will see it in cults like
Jehovah's Witness
they'll use
the gospel
to get inside
from your porch inside your house
so that they can begin
introducing their fake gospel right that's what folly's doing here she's using the words of
wisdom because the gullible the naive the simple don't have enough sense to to discern that this
person who is speaking is not wisdom so we've got
a battleground a war for minds and souls one thing that we should one lesson we should see here
this is a caution to all of us that not every familiar message is from the lord amen rick especially
in this day and age there are things that sound good that sound
true that you may be convinced that have, you know, a good foundation, but they're so
deceptive, so deceptive, in this day and age especially.
Doc, 20-some years ago in the beginning of true news.
there was a there was a very popular preacher on religious television and he talked very fast
and he made a lot of promises and he would say and the Lord says and it would be you know
and the Lord said this and the Lord said this and the Lord said this I mean you were just kind of
blown away by his mastery of the scriptures and yet something when I would hear him talking
something in my spirit said that's not what the lord said i just feel that you know that um that check in my
spirit like that's not the truth and yet you'd watch this man he was so persuasive and the lord said this
and thus saith the lord and you know what the bible says the bible says this this and this okay
and yet you were drawn in by this guy by the his charisma his the the the the
power of his of his personality and yet my spirit just kept saying there's something not right it's
not right but doc his his presentation there would go by so fast you know a 30-minute program and he
would spew out so many scriptures and so many let's say of the lord promises by the end of this
you know by the end of the program you couldn't keep track of
everything he said and let me tell you what what happened my son jeremy was in college at the time
and i and i said i said jeremy i'm going to show you that this man's a liar and a deceiver
i know it i just know it in my spirit and he says what do you want to do i said okay you
you take the recording we're we're going to record his program
and then we're going to stop it frame by frame now this is back before we had a lot of tools you know that we could use so we said we're going to we're going to play it just sound bite by sound bite okay so he you know when this man would say well the bible says then we we played that in in sections and i would say okay let's find that scripture well talk what we've
what we quickly discovered was he was he was blending two three four five scriptures into one
right yes all of it was the word of god but not in the way it was written
it's like the the christian zionists do today you know what the bible says whoever
blesses the state of israel god blesses them that's not in the bible
they say it and people believe it it's not in the bible
this is what we're seeing here with foolishness
foolishness imitates wisdom
and if you don't have a discerning mind
you just you just hear it and you say oh that's
that's the word of god that's righteousness that's good things
this is how this is how Satan deceives people
he always he'll use the word of god and twist it and add to it and delete from it like he did
with eve to deceive people that's the message here so not every familiar message is from the
lord you've got to test the voice that's behind the words
the danger lies in the echo of truth without the substance of righteousness it may sound good
it may sound familiar it may sound like the bible but it leads to death and destruction
the doctrinal laziness of a folly yes counterfeit repetition of the word of god it's this is the voice of false religions
spiritual counterfeits that mirror truth imitate truth but offer no salvation all
offer no born-again experience offer no hope no resurrection says um turn in let's go back
whoever is simple let him turn in here this this represents a change in direction
what is foolishness what is folly attempting to do remember yesterday they were on the right path
yes but now they're distracted away and it comes down to one decision what was the one turn
so verse 15 all right to call passengers who go right
on their ways what's she doing now she's saying turn in see she's she's going after the people
who are somewhat going in the right direction in life these are not strong committed disciples
these are these are people that are trying to live a good life not not deliberately doing anything bad or wrong
they're trying to go in the right way but they haven't made a commitment to god she goes after them
they're going on the right way and she says turn in here you know you know like um retailers and restaurants
and garages they'll have somebody standing out along the side of the road or the sign
three hamburgers here turn here that's what folly's doing she's saying turn in here
and people make an impulse decision it turns the steering wheel okay i'm going in here
she's beckoning the simple to divert their course even slightly just come off the main road can i get you just to pull off the main road
this is all done in a non-threatening manner she's not screaming rebellion she's not screaming
you know gross immorality she's she's doing this in a in a real subtle way and then you have this
this um this call to intimacy you know turn in here where where are we turning into
right she's saying turn in here to my house
Remember, wisdom built her house on seven pillars.
Verse 14, for she sit at the door of her house.
Now, in verse 16, she's saying, turn in here.
Where? Her house.
She's trying to get people to come into her house.
so this is a a spiritual pivot she's she's attempting to get the simple the
naive those who are not grounded in the word of God yes turn the steering
wheel turn the steering wheel drive into my driveway turn here come in and again
and they make an impulsive decision.
They weren't planning to do it.
They weren't going there.
It wasn't on their mind, but all of a sudden she's there.
Right.
And the big takeaway for me here, Rick, is that the difference between wisdom and folly is a decision.
The difference between wisdom and folly is a single decision where you say, I choose wisdom or I choose folly.
Now, you may not say those words right out loud, but you are making a decision either mentally
or with your feet sometimes. And there's a fine line between the direction there.
You may, and it may sound like the folly may sound seductive and sound logical and sound everything
else, but it's the wrong decision. And so the difference between wisdom and folly,
And this is one of the things that Rick teaches, and I fully believe in, it all comes down to making the right decision.
And you can't have true wisdom in making decisions without the Holy Spirit involved.
That's why we have to rely on the Spirit to make wise decisions instead of which one.
And we've got to constantly question, the origin of the.
voice that we're hearing that very true what voice is speaking to you today we could go
into a teaching about familiar spirits not for today but familiar spirits are demonic spirits
that are familiar with you and you're familiar with them and over time
people become accustomed to the presence of the demonic spirits and they actually begin thinking
some people think it's their own conscience speaking others will actually think it's the
Lord speaking to them right all right so and as for him that want of understanding she
saith to him modern English as for him who is
of understanding she says to him one of understanding void of understanding same meaning
spiritually empty vessels they lack the discernment to judge correctly yes and and what does she say
to this foolish person rick well let's look at let's look at the Hebrew
word doc um wanting nothing wanting i mean void of understanding want of understanding
you've got two words hebrew words corsair which means destitute fail lack have need void void want
want and then lebe i think it's pronounced leb or lebe lab it's lebe uh it's lebes uh but i think it's pronounced
lab uh and this means lacking a heart not just not just lacking intellect or conscience but
lacking a heart yeah so these people are spiritually vulnerable and they are very susceptible
to deceit manipulation and then eventual destruction remember satan's endgame is your
destruction they're not just messing with you if he could have
his way with you he would destroy you in in a heartbeat doesn't care a hoot about you or your
family or anything else that's good he would destroy you in a heartbeat if he could get to you
he comes to kill still and destroy it and all of us every day we're vulnerable to you
his attacks so folly foolishness appeals to emotional desire not not reason so this man is a
woman is a void of understanding this person not only a target of sin but a false
ideology, false
theologies,
cauldish beliefs.
They're opening themselves up to all kinds of things.
So this is not a person who's simply
ignorant,
but this is a person who has a heart
that has not submitted
to the fear of the Lord,
which is the beginning of wisdom.
doc look at this the the call of folly the call of this is this foolishness personified as a woman
the call of this woman folly is the inversion of discipleship yes what do we do in discipleship
we lead people deeper into the truth of god yes she does
the opposite. She leads people in the opposite direction of truth. It's the inversion of
discipleship. Discipleship leads people into light. Folly leads them into darkness
and disguises it as enlightenment. It's so sad to see.
on TV or the internet
people that
you know they got a good heart
you can tell they got a good heart
they're kind people
the nice people they mean well
and yet
they've been deceived by
new age religions
they'll talk about
they they desire world peace
they desire
the different races of humanity to live together, no discrimination.
They're kind-hearted people.
And yet, and they'll even acknowledge Jesus.
Yes, Jesus is a form of light.
It's like you're deceived.
Right.
You're deceived.
And yet they're good people.
being good is not enough hell will be populated with good people
it's not enough to be good
so folly goes after a person that's already inclined toward folly
and her voice is just confirming what that person has already begun to desire.
There's enough foolishness in that person for folly to get a grip on them.
Sincerity and goodness is not enough to protect you from this.
deception you have to work at being grounded in truth yes you have to work at it five days a
week we're working at it we're taking an hour yeah a lot of people went to the gym today
worked out that's a good thing they spent an hour to gym but they skipped their soul
they're not willing to spend an hour at the soul gymnasium but we're lifting weights
that's right we're on the we're on the treadmill to make our hearts stronger
we're we're developing our spiritual muscles we're spending an hour at god's gym
going to a physical fitness gym there's nothing wrong with that at all but you ought to spend an
hour in god's gym why because we got to build up our inner man remember the inversion principle
satan is trying to undo what the holy spirit is doing and that can happen to the best of us
Satan will look for a way
how can I get into that person's life
and start undoing what the Holy Spirit has already done
what opening
where can I find a way to get into them
and undo their discipleship
once
understanding is lost
the person becomes receptive to
every false voice because they think it sounds reasonable we've got to test every voice test
every spirit verse 17 stolen waters are sweet and bread eaten in secret is pleasant
this this phrase exposes the the seduct
illusion of sin what is forbidden appears more desirable because it is forbidden
simply because it's forbidden right people desire it water where
stolen waters are sweet not not just water but stolen water but stolen water
Yeah, stolen waters.
What does water represent life?
So this is stolen water, all right?
And what gets me is water is one of the most abundant resources in the world.
It's, you know, and the idea that it has to be stolen.
look i have stolen water here not just water stolen water so doc um let's see what's scripture
what what chapter in proverbs did we talk about cisterns oh that's right okay to look that up
so okay once you do that right now and let's see where that connects because i that just came to
my mind that we had studied cisterns and the water was flowing remember the water was flowing into
the streets yes proverb 515 drink water is out of thine own cistern and running water is out of thine
own well okay so now in verse chapter 9 this is talking about people that desire to drink water from
somebody else's cistern stolen water stole they don't know it yeah it's not been all
offered to them by the it's been stolen the sweetness of stolen the sweetness of stolen
is deceptive it's momentary it it pleases the census but it poisons the soul
look the world is full the world has in every country every society every city every neighborhood
there are men and women who lust for somebody else's spouse mainly because it's stolen
We talked about this in one of the, talking about the, you know, the adulterous woman, all right, that she's pursuing somebody else for the pleasure for her is not in that person, but in the fact that she has, she's defiled somebody.
and in this case she's she's going after somebody else's spouse right but this can this can also mean
many other things than just the sexual connotation but isn't that what sells sin sin sells because
it's forbidden because it's hidden that is secret you know there's something about sin that isn't
out there completely. You have to go someplace to sin. You have to, a secret place, a hidden
place, a shadowy place. Yes. And somehow that makes it more enticing. So people rationalize
sin and say, if it feels good, it must be right. If two people are in agreement to commit
sin and it doesn't harm anyone, what's the problem?
because you're right doc it's the the pleasure factor is increased by the secrecy so the thrill
of concealment adds to the deception satan doesn't present sin as poison he presents it as sweetness as honey
The poison is in the honey.
Satan's main strategy is not physical force.
It's always appealed to the carnal desires of humanity.
It doesn't get a lot done with physical force.
But water, even though it's stolen, is still water.
Doc, there's no change.
It's not a new substance.
It's a substance that's been misused.
Yeah.
It's still water.
This verse,
um,
there's a doctrine of,
Cancoupicent, right, is that the word, cancoupicent, the inward craving for what is lawful, unlawful?
Yes.
A strong desire.
But the pleasure of stolen water fades quickly.
The sweetness turns sour.
And it's addictive.
once people get on this this track it's like drugs they got to they have to have another shot
because the pleasure doesn't last long many times what people are doing is they're just
escaping their problems now doctor's next part bread eaten in secret is pleasant
the bread represents daily sustenance the provision of life
even the ordinary becomes tainted when done in secrecy
and rick it's interesting to note that wisdom back in verse verses five and six
also extends an invitation to come eat of my bread.
Yes.
But the implication here in verse 17, if the water is stolen, the bread is probably stolen too.
Yes.
Folly is imitating wisdom.
She's now offering bread.
But wisdom says eat my bread in public.
Right.
Folly says eat my bread in secret.
That's right.
what is it about the secrecy why does folly take something as basic ordinary mundane everyday substance called bread and say we have to hide to eat it what does that mean
she's this is not grand rebellion this is this is using the mundane everyday things of life
to commit sin right the only difference between the bread is one is stolen right the bread itself
it's no different it's bread and it's there's secret indulgence yes now again this is not only
sexual gratification and it obviously does include that at lust but it also includes greed
slander how how do people slander in secret
they pull somebody over hey i'm gonna i got something i gotta tell you don't hey don't tell anybody this
you promise you won't tell anybody this oh no no what is it oh let me tell you this
isn't that the way it's done you're right they pull the person aside hey keep this between
you and me what is it they promise you're not going to tell anybody no i promise what is it
well so-and-so i know this a for a fact about so-and-so
it's slander but see it's done in secrecy
that's the principle here
these sins are done in secrecy
so that nobody else there are no other witnesses
to what you did
the gossip the slander the greed the stealing
whatever it is
stealing
most stealing is done in in secrecy
only idiot thieves do it in public but most
most thefts are done in in secrecy how many things have you noticed have
disappeared in your home in your office whatever how many things have
disappeared you know what happened to that because somebody somebody was in your
house, it could be a cleaner. It could be a repair person. It could be anybody, a visitor who
just came into your house. And when you weren't looking, something disappeared. It's done in
secrecy. Satan does most of his work in secrecy. Now, this is
But wisdom, this is in contrast to wisdom.
Wisdom has an open table.
Right.
Wisdom's table, there's joy.
There's fellowship.
There's fellowship.
It's out in the public.
But Folly's meal is hushed.
Yeah.
And it's interesting that wisdom offers bread and wine,
which is reflective of that communion with Christ,
whereas folly offers stolen water, stolen bread, eaten in secret, which leads to death.
Why is it done in secrecy?
Because it's shameful.
Right.
Doc, take a look at John 3 versus 19 through 21.
John 3 19 through 21
and this is there
you there okay go ahead and read it
all right
John chapter 3 Gospel John
chapter 3 verses 19 through 21
and this is the condemnation
that light is coming to the world
and men love darkness
rather than light because their deeds
were evil for everyone that
doeth evil hateeth the light neither
comeeth to the light less his deeds
should be reproved.
Verse 21.
But he that doeth the truth
comeeth to the light,
that his deeds may be made manifest,
and they are wrought in God.
Yes.
Okay, so, Doc, one,
and this was a surprise to me
in preparing for this lesson.
I discovered that
some of the older commentators
who are no longer here,
in this world
and I'm talking about
people like John Gill
he passed away in 1771
he wrote the
exposition of the old and New
Testaments great Bible commentator
by hand he wrote it
by hand
Adam Clark
he died
Commentaries. Yeah, how many? I forget how many, but they fill up half my shelf.
He passed away in 1832. There are a lot of these, Matthew Poole. These are the people I study.
Matthew Poole, he passed away in 1679. See, some of you, you put into the
chat in morning manna.
Rick and
Doc are just bringing forth
new revelations of the word of God.
No, we're not.
I wish that was the case.
Yeah, I should take credit, but we're not.
We're bringing forth old revelations.
We get shocked about it too, folks.
Yeah, what we're doing is we're going back 300, 400 years
and studying what Christian leaders
taught the churches at those times.
And we're going, wow, look at this.
But, Doc, this is one of the fascinating things I discovered
is that these old commentators I've mentioned,
they equated this verse with Freemasonry and Secret Societies.
Oh, I can see that.
Isn't that the appeal of Freemasonry and all these groups, you know, the secrecy of it?
I mean, even in the Lions Club, your local Lions Club, they have a secret handshake.
Yes.
So, I mean.
Because those clubs were set up, established by Mason's.
Right.
So John Gill was one.
He said this verse, it links the allure of mystical, esoteric religion.
Freemasonry, yes.
Yes.
Come into our secret temple.
And that was big in his day.
Oh, my goodness.
Yes.
The secret bread.
Adam Clark said the secret bread has a symbolic tie to clandestine practices.
such as secret rituals and pagan rituals and feasts where people go into dark secret chambers
to receive the hidden knowledge.
Yes.
What are they doing in those places?
They're going after knowledge.
that God said to Adam and Eve, this is forbidden.
And why do they want that knowledge, Rick?
What is it about that knowledge that they pursued?
To be like God.
Yeah, for power, control.
That's right.
So there are a lot of these great teachers of the Word of God
that link this particular verse with rituals,
occultism, secret knowledge, forbidden knowledge, and it's always dressed in secrecy.
Why?
What is it?
Because that appeals to certain people.
Right.
And isn't that one of the things that draw people to these secret societies, that they have
that knowledge and information that will allow me to get ahead in the world?
Yes.
that will give me an advantage over others doc sometimes i think people join secret societies
just out of curiosity like what are they doing in there well you have to join in order to find out
right you have to turn in here turn in here no one accidentally joins one of these secret societies
Well, I'm a free mason.
How'd that happen?
Doc.
Wisdom offers purity.
Folly offers privacy.
Yes.
You have to exchange your purity to get the privacy.
And purity.
maybe a private matter, but it becomes public, right?
People recognize your purity.
They see it in you.
They see it in the way you speak, the way you walk, the way you talk,
whereas folly, folly looks inward.
Folly rest on that privacy, the secrets that you keep.
What is eaten in?
Secrecy is never truly digested because your soul remains malnourished.
These people eat in secrecy, but they're actually starving to death.
Because, you know what?
The flesh promises joy, but delivers death.
the promise is never what is delivered
it's just the
debate to get you to turn in turn in here
let's see
verse 18
but he
knoweth not that the dead are there
and that their guests are in
depths of hell but he doesn't know that the departed spirits are there that
their guests are in the depths of soul let's look at the first part but he
knoweth not that the dead are there so you've got this conjunction but so
you've got this very startling contrast wait a minute we just were promised sweet
promises. And now we go to this, but after you've, after you've consumed the sweet promises
in secrecy, death is below the surface. The person knoweth not. He does not know. He or she is
self-deceived. They believe that they're enjoying the goodness of life, but they're entering a tomb.
The Hebrew word that's used here for dead refers to ghost. This is a dark, eerie realm,
not just physical death but spiritual
ruination
they become
shadowy ghost
there's a there's a
it has a connotation of a hidden horror
what looks like pleasure
eventually
produces
a banquet that's held in the graveyard
right
would you go to a banquet in a cemetery well i know a lot of mexican catholics do
is it the day of the dead that they they have their cemetery they have their
they all they pack picnic meals and go to the cemetery yeah that's a strange custom
death this is a this is an incremental consequential death yes the person is slowly dying
the dead are there but they wake up in hell okay what is telling you is that when you live a life
of foolishness on earth you have all
joined the population in hell you're already counted as a citizen in hell if you make foolishness your
way of life in other words your body is here but your soul is in hell yeah yeah Jesus Lord
it's like a
it's like a
where they're having the secret dinner
eating stolen bread and stolen water
it's like a haunted house
a haunted house populated with dead people
and every new person who walks to the door
joins the crowd of damned souls
Doc, look at the trajectory of sin.
Enticement.
Enticement, it starts with enticement.
That leads to indulgence.
That leads to deception, and that leads to destruction.
And that leads to destruction.
yes enticement indulgence deception destruction there's the path see he's got a he's got a formula
he's not inventing something new every day he's got a formula it's worked for thousands of years
entice them feed them let them indulge and then deceive them and then destroy them works every time
he knoweth not what did jesus say in luke chapter 12 verse 20 thou fool this night thou thy soul shall be required to be
you fool you fool okay this house that once seemed alluring tempting
fascinating pleasurable like people say I got to go inside that house oh just look
at the lighting look at the just look at I got to go inside they don't realize
that the interior is a tomb and it's populated with the people who made the same
choice and her guests are in the depths of hell her guests these are her companions who are willing
participants who accepted her invitation who entered her house they turned in she's standing there
saying turn in and they made the turn nobody made them do it they did it these are the
companions and her guests these are the people excuse me these are the people who accepted
her invitation turned in entered her house and sat at her table where are they now
they're in the depths of soul they're not near death they are already buried deep within his
grassland that's right they may be walking around they may be breathing but they're dead
they're the walking dead yeah they're entrapped they're immersed they can't get out you have time
you have time to get out before it's too late just one decision one turn one turn
right now decide right now yes her house leads to death um jesus and matthew seven spoke about a broad road
that leads to destruction the people on that road they thought they were in a nice road
out there on a nice highway wide plenty of room yeah smooth wide everybody's going the same
direction that's right it's a busy road doc think about the hospitality of demons
I never thought about how hospitable they are.
Yeah, you can check into this hotel, but you can't check out.
They're hospitable.
They've got a room for you.
They're the friendliest people you'll ever meet.
come on in we've got food we've got fun we've got pleasure come on in
Isaiah said therefore hell hath enlarged herself and opened her mouth without measure
this house constantly enlarges itself to hold more guests
a house on your block that just keeps getting bigger by itself it just grows the more people
that go in the bigger the house becomes that's hell it enlarges itself to accommodate the ever
increasing population how big as hell as big as it has to be
Well, Doc, we're over.
I was going to review all chapter, chapter nine.
I wasn't sure if we could fill up the hour with three verses, but we did.
Yeah.
There's a lot packed in here.
And so, especially when you compare it back to earlier in chapter nine, how it's just mirrors wisdom's invitation.
And once again, I know I've.
Once again, I know I've said it several times on Morning Manna today,
but if there's one big lesson you can take away from this,
the difference between wisdom and folly is oftentimes a single decision.
And so throughout this day to day, be looking for those decision points,
those opportunities that the Lord brings in your life where you have the,
where you have the opportunity to walk with the spirit and choose wisdom.
Doc, throughout, you know this, throughout the Bible, there is a theme.
Two choices.
I pointed this out before many times at the early church in the first four centuries.
Every pastor had a two ways, two roads sermon.
Yeah.
That was the most popular sermon in the world, the first four or five centuries.
what do we see here there's a spiritual fork in the road you're traveling and now you come
to a fork to the right to the left what do we see two houses what are we here two voices
what's before us two feasts two meals what else is there two destinies
Every soul must choose its host, its meal, and its eternal dwelling.
That is the conclusion of it all.
Get this straight. If you have to teach anything to somebody,
every soul must choose its host.
Is your host wisdom or foolishness?
You have to choose your meal.
Is it a banquet set out in public by wisdom?
Or is it a secret banquet with stolen bread and water?
And where shall you dwell eternally?
In the presence of Almighty God or in the presence of Lucifer?
Those are the choices everybody has to make.
And know this.
Satan is always there, always seeking to tempt you to come away from the Lord.
None of us are immune.
None of us have, we have to constantly stay on the right road.
You have to work at it.
There's labor.
There's labor involved.
God's not going to do it for you.
There's labor involved.
Where people, they allow.
false doctrines to come in deception various things can come into your life to pull you away
but the mercy of god thank you thank you jesus we have a good shepherd amen and he'll leave the
99 to go find that one know that about your shepherd amen if you start to veer off
the shepherd's coming for you he's going to look for you
He's not going to let you get off that path.
Even though we make these mistakes, the good shepherd is coming out to look for you.
He'll leave the other 99 and go find that one that strayed from the right course.
Amen.
All right, Doc.
That's it for today.
Amen.
