TRUNEWS with Rick Wiles - Morning Manna - August 22, 2025 - Boat Faith
Episode Date: August 25, 2025Today’s Morning Manna takes us back to the days of Noah, when the world was filled with corruption, yet one man found grace in the eyes of the Lord. From Genesis 6:1–8 and Hebrews 11:7, we learn a... powerful lesson in faith — a faith that believes God’s warning, obeys His command, and perseveres despite ridicule. Noah built the ark not because it made sense to the world, but because he trusted the Word of God. His obedience preserved his household, and his example still speaks to us today. In this episode, we explore what it means to walk with God in a faith that looks beyond the present, preparing for things not yet seen, and trusting that God’s grace is enough to carry us through.Teachers: Rick Wiles and Doc Burkhart. You can partner with us by visiting FaithandValues.com, calling 1-800-576-2116, or by mail at PO Box 399 Vero Beach, FL 32961.Get high-quality emergency preparedness food today from American Reserves!AmericanReserves.comIt’s the Final Day! Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Morning Manna. It's Friday. That means it's Faith Friday.
And our focus is on faith, faith in God, faith in the Word of God, faith in the kingdom,
faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. And we will be studying faith today. And then at the conclusion of today's
lesson, we will go to the Lord's table for Holy Communion. So,
Be prepared for it, have bread and your choice of grape juice or red wine and join in with us for the Lord's supper.
So, Doc, our faith lesson today is going to be about what I call, well, I don't call it, the Lord gave it to me.
I asked him yesterday, yesterday morning, what am I supposed to teach on Friday?
i don't have a lesson for for faith friday and i heard two words boat faith
it's like boat faith i've never taught a lesson on boat faith but that's what i heard boat faith
and i don't say it the lord gave me a lesson plan for the next maybe three four weeks on boat faith
this is this hey i'm hearing it for the first time myself with you okay never taught on boat faith
but we're going to do it today we're going to break new ground let's let's pray almighty god father
thank you for this wonderful day we give you glory father and praise and thanksgiving
father we rose today triumphantly as the sun came up we rose in for
faith in the name of jesus father we invite your holy spirit into this bible study to direct us in
studying and understanding and applying boat faith in the name of jesus amen amen so um this is that
i've never i've never taught a lesson on biblical boat faith so this is new to me
Well, what the Lord has given me is a lesson plan for the next, I said, three, maybe four weeks.
Before the storm, obedient faith, during the storm, trusting faith, after the storm, enduring faith.
It's all in the Bible. It all involves boats.
So today's Faith Friday lesson is before the storm,
obedient faith.
And our scriptures for today are from Genesis and the book of Hebrews.
So as we begin this lesson,
I'm going to have Doc read Genesis chapter 6 verses 12 and 13.
Genesis 6 versus I'll tell you what doc let's let's read let's read verses 1 through 8 let's start with
verses 1 through 8 Genesis 6 versus 1 through 8 all right so I'm in the book of Genesis I'm reading
from the King James here today and it came to pass when men began to multiply on the face of the earth
and daughters were born unto them,
that the sons of God saw the daughters of men,
that they were fair, and they took them wives of all which they chose.
And the Lord said, my spirit should not always strive with man,
for that he also was flesh, yet his day shall be 120 years.
There were giants in the earth in those days,
and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men,
and they bare children to them,
the same became mighty men which were of old.
men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every
imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually, and repented the Lord that he
had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy
man who I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast and the creeping thing
in the fowls of the air, for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found
grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Noah found
grace in the eyes of the Lord.
What a statement.
What a statement.
Let that be true for each of us.
Why are we
studying boats on Faith Friday?
Well, a boat is not just a
vessel.
It's a symbol of trust.
When you get in a boat,
and you're on water and you're in deep water and you're in deep water and you're trusting your life
and if you have other people with you family members children grandchildren you're trusting
their lives with a boat if you're on a river or deep lake or bay
or the ocean there's a lot of water under that boat things can happen a wave can upset the boat
another ship could crash into the boat the boat could develop a hole could hit something
you're trusting your life to a boat
something else about a boat
is that before storms come
God calls his people to
prepare to surrender
and obey
another thing that we will learn
in this lesson is that faith
looks foolish to the world
but it proves wise when the storm arrives.
So God said the beginning of Genesis chapter 6, Noah's Great Flood.
We get to verse 12 and 13,
and God looked upon the earth and behold, it was corrupt for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
and God said unto Noah the end of all flesh has come before me
for the earth is filled with violence through them
and behold I will destroy them with the earth
imagine Noah's reaction
when he heard God speak those words
I mean if today
you heard the voice of God say
I've had enough
I want to kill everybody on this planet except you and your family
because they're corrupt
they're corrupt they're evil
what would be your reaction
so in verses 14 and 16 15 15 15 15 16
God gave Noah specific
he gave you the specifications for the construction of the
are we'll bypass those verses and then doc we get to um i'll have you read verses 17 through 19
okay all right and behold i even i do bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh
wherein is the breath of life from under heaven and everything that is in the earth shall die
but with thee i will establish my covenant and thou shall come into the ark thou and thy sons and thy wife
and thy son's wives with thee.
In verse 19.
And of every living thing of all flesh,
two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark to keep them alive with thee,
and they shall be male and female of fowls after their kind
and of cattle after their kind of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind.
Two of every sort shall come unto thee to keep them alive.
and go ahead and then the the final the verse that is the conclusion of the matter
verse 22 thus did noah according to all that god commanded him so did he
he followed the instruction there it is thus did noah according to all that god commanded him so
did he? The World English Bible says, thus Noah did. He did all that God commanded him.
How statement? This is about faith. It's about faith and obedience. Noah's response was not delayed, nor was it.
partial. He acted with prompt and decisive obedience. He acted promptly and he carried out every
instruction. His doing was the doing, the action, was the fruit of his faith.
trust in God's words always manifest in action. Listen to what I just said. His action, his doing was the fruit of
his faith. Your belief in God's word, his instructions, his commandments. It's not faith until it's
manifested in action we can say yes i believe god i believe the word of god i believe all of it
back it up with action if there's no action you really don't have faith in god
so while the rest of the world mocked noah noah obeyed
And that showed that true obedience looks foolish to the crowd, to the public, to the majority, but it looks wise to God.
So if you are expecting people, including your family, your friends, even people at church, people at work, neighbor, if you're, if you are waiting on them to applaud your faith, you're going to be waiting.
a long time right people just don't get it only those who the only ones who get it are the ones who get it
who understand faith they'll stand up and cheer for you because they see a brother or a sister hey i know
who you are hey i'm one of you we're all in this together we walk by faith but the rest of the people
you will look foolish.
And the more religious they are, the more foolish you look.
Because religious people explain away faith.
Yes.
Notice that Noah's obedience was visible.
Every hammer strike was a solid.
sermon to a rebellious generation. Amen.
Every nail was a message or a peg, I guess. Every peg was a sermon, was a message.
And you know he was hitting, hitting those pegs hard. Why? Because there were people
mocking him for 100 years.
that's a long time to be mocked and to stay with the program
we don't know if he ever became discouraged we don't know the Bible doesn't tell us
doesn't really matter you know why he finished a job that's the only thing that matters
and that's what the Bible recorded he finished the assignment did he get weak along the way
probably did he have times of doubt despair probably he was human did his wife ever say
you've been on this job for 75 years give it a break maybe how about this one what what's rain
yeah what's rain yes never
happened. Well, if it had never rained, how were crops watered? That's a whole other lesson in Genesis.
Yeah, I know they answered that. Oh, any, we'll go ahead and give us.
Earlier in Genesis said that there was a mist that rose from the ground. So, in other words, God had a
sprinkling system.
That's right.
He had his own sprinkler system for the crops.
That's right.
So Noah's actions, his life, teaches us that faith is not merely a mental assent to religious doctrine.
It's a life of active submission.
look at this phrase thus did noah what a statement of integrity that he stood alone and yet he was unshaken
he he stayed with the program he got it done his his life was a testimony
testimony, even though his words were ignored.
That is worth remembering today.
Noah's words were ignored by the crowds, but his life spoke volumes.
And then I'm in, as a writer, I'm just impressed by
the brevity of the phrase
thus Noah did
there's so much in those three
words
it
those three words
hold
the magnitude
of the task
a century long building
project
thus Noah did
Bible doesn't tell us everything
that happened in 100 years
whatever it is he did he did it doesn't matter all the bible all god's holy spirit desired us to know is
no it did it and he did it by faith it wasn't a momentary burst of faith
and then it faded away it just disappeared no it was steadfast a lifetime of faith
it's like we were talking yes he showed up every day your faith is displayed in your diligence
that you show up every day to continue doing the work that god has given you to do
regardless of whether anybody supports you or not regardless of whether it makes sense
you do it every day because the lord told you to do it
faith works by obedience and obedience proves your faith yes so obedience before evidence is the mark of faith
that's another keeper for the day obedience before evidence is the mark of faith remember
we're studying boat faith and this first lesson is faith before the storm
in the second part of that verse according to all that god commanded him again the bible doesn't
give us all the details it just says he did all according to that god commanded him
He did it all. That's the only thing that's important to know, that whatever God commanded
him to do, he did it all. We don't need to know the details. Noah's obedience was complete.
He left nothing undone. He didn't alter anything. That's really important. He didn't subtract or
add anything to God's instructions. He just did what the Lord told him to do. He followed the
instruction. He didn't have any mission creep. He didn't build a flotilla of smaller boats.
He didn't build a submarine. He didn't build an aircraft carrier. He just built the ship that God
gave him the instructions to build and he built it with reverence he obeyed he built according
to god's plan because he had reference for god and god's plan he knew that god's plan was perfect
Which commands to follow and obey is not faith.
Faith requires obedience to be entire and completed.
Yes.
Noah trusted God's reasoning.
He trusted God's wisdom over his own human reasoning.
I mean, to everybody,
to everybody else building a massive ship far inland from the sea.
What sea?
Well, there was water on the earth.
Oh, I'm sure, but consider how far the arc was.
Yes, but that's what I'm saying.
Nobody knew.
You had never seen the sea or the ocean or anything like that.
The people living where he was at didn't know about the sea.
maybe one brave adventure so the idea of building a ship on land that's going to sail on water
the whole thing was absurd no how are you going to get this boat over to the ocean
why don't you build the boat next to the ocean oh the lawyers have built it here
Again, it's trusting God.
It's trusting God when the instruction seems absurd according to human reasoning.
So reason, human reasoning must bow to divine revelation.
repetition thus Noah did it said twice and it's the phrase is repeated is
throughout the whole narrative about the ark and thus Noah did according to all
that the Lord commanded him it's it's the reason is is to stress the importance
that full conformity to God's word is the essence of true obedience.
We are not granted license to choose which part of his word we agree and obey and that part we don't.
That's right.
You can't halfway do it.
What if you only built half the ark?
That's right.
So every plank, every point.
plank, every nail, every peg was an act of faith.
Again, he stood against ridicule, opposition, mocking, indifference.
There were people who, they didn't mock him, they didn't laugh, they just didn't care.
It was like, oh, well, you know, I'm sure there were people who liked Noah and said, you know, I don't know what the man's doing.
he's kind of lost it but I love him he's a good man
if he wants to build a boat it's okay with me
but they didn't believe him no
even though they didn't judge him they didn't believe him
and the fact that they didn't believe him was the judgment
so what we see here with Noah's life is a pattern
for us we have to walk according to every word
that proceeds from the mouth of God
And that's why thousands of years later, God said his only begotten son to earth as a human baby
to grow up, to live a sinless life to show us that perfect obedience is necessary.
Jesus Christ is the only human who ever perfectly obeyed God from birth to death.
there's Jesus Christ who did all that the Father commanded.
So when we put our trust and our faith in Jesus Christ,
we have done all that the Father has commanded.
That's how we are justified.
We're justified because we put our faith and our trust in the one who did
all that the Father commanded, the Lord Jesus Christ.
And then the third part, so did he.
I'm going to repeat.
It's a repetition.
It's underscoring Noah's follow-through.
Not only did he intend to obey, he did obey.
So did he.
Check the box.
Done.
See, God,
honors obedience more than good intentions.
There many times that we have good intentions
to obey God, to serve God,
and we never follow through.
He recognizes that we had the intention,
but we miss it when we don't follow the instruction.
What gets his pleasure, receives his pleasure,
his favor is we complete,
to task. We stay with the program and we obey. Why does God give us assignments? Well,
there are different reasons, but I'm going to tell you the main reason. The main reason is
that he's doing a work of grace in your life. It's not so much the end game, you know,
the thing is
the boat was not the main thing
for Noah
the lifetime of obedience
was the main thing
God did a work
of grace in Noah's life
the Noah that got on the boat was a different man
than the man that started with the first
plank and peg
you don't think that
man hadn't changed over a hundred years.
God was working in that man's life.
And this is what he does with you and me.
He gives us assignments, and these are important assignments.
He has a reason to get these things done.
But the main thing is that he is desiring to do something in your life and my life.
And that is to change us, to conform us into the image of his son.
Amen.
one plank at a time so getting the project done and never changing your character your life
what what good is it the lord the lord desires each of us to be different by the time the task is
finished sometimes we got to go back you get a
Okay, I've got to go back and start this over again and learn these lessons again.
No one of obedience was not spectacular in the eyes of the world, but it was in heaven.
It had eternal consequences.
God needed a man who would obey.
The entire human race depended on it.
He was going to repopulate the earth with one family.
So that final statement, so did Noah.
So did he.
It sealed his character.
He was a man who finished what God required, what God instructed him.
and his obedience became the vessel of salvation for his family and by extension for the entire human race that followed what if noah refused to obey what if he failed what if he quit
you can't even allow that discussion so doc what was it about noah that god looked at noah and said
that man will get it done see the lord had been watching him preparing him for a long time before he
gave him the instruction that's right to make sure he would
have the character to get it done so what began in faith ended in faithfulness that's an important
lesson the project of building the ark began in faith but the process of what god was doing
inside noah ended up in faithfulness so what are we learning out of this faith proves itself in obedience
To believe God is to do what he says.
To do what he says is to believe God.
What does James teach us?
Faith without works is dead.
Partial obedience is disobedience.
Ask Saul about that one.
Look at Saul in trouble.
what gets a lot of people in trouble is that they only partially obey right
Saul did the religious thing I didn't do the godly thing and there's a
difference I you know doc I remember I mean this old years ago I mean when I
had the spiritual awakening in me like
oh god expects me to do exactly what he says not to give it the old college try you know hip hip hooray oh we're going to try to win the game that's not that doesn't make it even though your obedience is seems
unreasonable to the world obedience is never wasted god measures he marks he sees he he follows our
obedience and every act of obedience is a sermon just remember that your act of obedience is a sermon it
speaks louder than your words. So, you know, the phrase that should be on everybody's tombstone
is either, thus he did, or thus she did. That says it all.
Hebrews chapter 11 verse 7 all right in the hall of faith and verse 7 Hebrews chapter 11 by faith
Noah being warned of God of things not seen as yet moved with fear prepared an ark
to the saving of his house by the which he condemned the world and became heir of
the righteousness which is by faith by faith ends with by faith begins with by faith
by faith by faith noah being warned about things not yet seen was moved by fear moved with fear
not by fear he moved with fear
prepared an ark
for the saving of his house his family
by the which he condemned the world
through
through which he condemned the world by building the ark
to save his family Noah condemned the world
and Noah became the heir of righteousness, which is according to faith.
He became an heir of the righteousness, which is according to faith.
So Noah's faith rested solely on God's word, not on visible evidence, not on natural reasons,
not on education and intellect things not seen the flood the deluge that was coming the
unprecedented global judgment things not seen by faith noah being warned of god of things not seen
God's warnings, as seriously as his promises, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his
house. Faith produces reverent fear, not panic, not anxiety, reverent fear.
God had spoken to him.
He received the word.
And it produced a godly fear in him.
And that godly fear is what drove him to build the ark.
The fear was not the dread of deep water.
The fear was the holiness of God.
The reverence for God's holiness.
again the building of the ark was not a construction project it was it was a 100-year sermon of wood and nails
sermons that proclaim god's judgment and salvation faith does not sit idle
faith builds faith works faith prepares according to god's plan according to god's word
you know for years i came into this ministry you know in 1998 when god gave me a vision of america on
fire and then that night my daughter had a visitation from the lord and he gave her two dreams
about the end of the world and in that one dream my family and i were surrounded by thousands
of people and they were skeletons and they were pointing their arms at me saying if you knew
this was going to happen why didn't you tell us doc that was my moment
that was my NOAA moment
I was moved with fear
for 20
27 years now
I was moved with fear
people didn't understand me
didn't listen
discount it what I was saying
oh Rick come on
not going to happen to America
no
the Lord showed me i saw it i saw the country burning on fire didn't matter um a lot of christians told me
i was wrong it's just not going to happen there are two countries god's going to protect america and
israel and i heard that over and over and over but there were a lot of christians who did hear it
And they said, you know what, I'm going to prepare.
I'm going to prepare my heart and prepare my life.
I'm going to prepare my soul.
I'm going to prepare my family.
And I'm going to prepare, you know, spiritually I'm going to prepare, but I'm also going to prepare physically.
Yes.
I'm going to do all that I can do to get through whatever's coming.
And so Noah was moved with fear and fear builds.
It works.
It prepares.
Preparation requires patience.
Faith labors for years before physically seeing fulfillment of what God said.
the ark was a type of christ the vessel of salvation prepared in obedience to god and what does peter tell us
today about baptism that baptism is the ark yes
By the way, Doc, after you left yesterday, Susan, my wife Susan called me and she said, Rick, you ought to come over here to the city park, which is just next door to her, Billy.
I said, where are you? She said, I'm over at the community center. I said, what's going on? She said, there's a local church. They've got a baptismal tank here, and they're
baptizing homeless people.
Doc, I went over, I walked over, and they were having a good old time baptizing the homeless.
I think Susan said 12 homeless men and women were baptized.
Praise the Lord.
Yeah.
The baptism is the ark.
They fed the homeless.
They loved on them.
they took care of them, and then they led them to Christ, and they baptized them.
All right.
That's a, got to give credit to that church here in Viro Beach.
I'm glad they did that work.
It was good to see.
And Doc, one of the young men who was baptizing the homeless,
I was looking at him.
He had shorter hair.
He looked different.
And I'll just Susan, I said, is that Brian?
She goes, yeah, that's Brian.
Now, Brian came before you did, Doc.
Okay.
When we had just moved into 9045 American away, I mean, literally, the first month's in there.
This young man showed up, long hair, and, you know, and he,
there was something about him I just like and and he asked me for some work and he said sir I just got out of I just got out of jail and I've got a family and I I'm having trouble getting a job and I'm thinking what do I do here okay and I ask him if he knew the Lord and what
Yes, yes. I got saved in jail. Okay. So, you know, I questioned him, talked to him.
Yeah, he did. He had the Lord in him. But he was in trouble financially. Nobody wanted to
hire him because he just had just been released. I don't know if it was a county jail or
or a state prison. I don't recall.
Anyhow, I said, well, what can you do? Well, it was nothing that, you know, we needed done inside
a media organization okay he said i can uh i can cut grass i'm thinking everything around the
property is cut wait a minute the back property the back property line so i took you back here
and showed it to him and it was pretty tall you know it was it was a high five probably five
feet tall. And he got in there, Doc, and worked for two days and cleaned that out. I mean,
sweat it and worked and did an awesome job, cleaned up that property line, got all that brush
out of there. And I paid him very, very generously, more than you would pay for someone to do
that work. And he was just enormously grateful. This is what...
This is 2011, right.
So yesterday last night over here at the church, at the community center, I'm watching.
And I said, Susan, is that Brian?
Is that the young man that came to us in 2011, just out of jail?
And she goes, that's him.
Oh, Doc, he was dunking the homeless in the tank.
Praise God.
He was baptizing them.
All right.
What a transformation in his life.
what a transformation to see him on fire for God so every noah stood his obedience his obedience stood as a silent judgment on unbelief
I want you to listen to that.
Noah's obedience was judgment on the unbelief of the people of his generation.
There are times God desires you to do something simply to speak judgment on the people that don't believe him.
Yeah.
You're not judging them.
Your obedience to God is judging them.
every hammer blow was noah's heart saying i believe god and you do not that hammer said
i believe god and you don't believe him
was not neutral
he witnessed to people through obedience
he was doing carpentry his carpentry
his construction work
convicted and condemn the rebellious
yes
do you see that simply by doing
faithfully doing whatever god has given you to do
you are carrying out God's plan in regards to those who don't believe him.
And he became heir of the righteousness, which is by faith.
He did not earn his righteousness.
He received it by faith.
Right.
As an error.
His righteousness, he didn't deserve right.
righteousness, but he proved it. His obedience proved his righteousness, but he didn't, he didn't
deserve it. But by obedience, by faith, he was granted righteousness. He became an heir,
not by law not by a will testament he became an heir through God's race so righteousness is imputed to
those people who believe God's word and obey him and now we see Noah at the head
the line that leads to abraham that leads to moses that leads to jesus christ that leads to you because you and i are
justified by faith in christ what do we see faith believes god's warnings as well as his promises faith acts on things not seen
treating God's word as reality.
Yes.
True faith produces holy fear.
Faith prepares an arc of obedience.
Faith prepares family households.
Faith condemns unbelief.
Faith makes us the heirs of righteousness.
Matthew Henry said he did it all, not some of what God commanded.
Amen.
It was not a bare assent to God's word, but a practical submission.
John Gill said thus Noah did.
He performed every detail according to God's instruction.
neither adding nor diminishing.
Gil said his obedience proved the reality of his faith.
Adam Clark said it was made according to God, talking about the, the, the ark.
It was made according to God's plan. No part neglected, no part altered.
Charles Bridges, faith and obedience are inseparable.
Faith is the root.
Obedience is the fruit.
Amen.
Noah walked with God, not by reasoning or compromise, but by simple, entire obedience.
Again, Joseph Benson, a bishop in England.
He omitted nothing, altered nothing, delayed nothing.
While others lived in pleasure, he lived in preparation.
Oh, that was good.
Amen.
While others lived in pleasure, Noah lived in preparation.
And it was a lifestyle of preparation.
It consumed him.
Yes.
Charles Simeon, he not only warned others, but exemplified his doctrine by his own obedience.
Alexander McLaren.
Noah's faith takes God's word for certain acts upon it, leaves the consequences with the Lord.
Oh, I could go on and on and on.
All right, so this is the beginning of our lessons on boat faith.
And next week, we'll resume this series.
Next Friday, I'm going to be talking about,
I'm going to be talking about the faith of
Jokohem, Jokabed, the faith of Jokobed.
The faith of Jokabed.

They'll tell us here in just a second.
Okay.
Well, listen, let's go ahead.
Joyce, okay.
Is it Joyce?
Well, anyhow, I'm going to be sending, and now somebody else is saying, Ashley.
Okay.
Okay, I'll send two books.
That'll solve it.
There you go.
I'll use Solomon's wisdom.
Okay.
I'm not going to cut the baby in half.
I'll just give them half a book.
Yeah, yeah.
I'll send two books that way we've got it right.
Let's go to the Lord's table, please.
Praise the Lord.
Yes, today it's Faith Friday, and as usual, we participate in the Lord's table, the communion.
And we are going to prayer, prayer blessing over the elements of the Lord's table here in just a few moments.
Before we do that, Rick's been talking about faith today.
today but noah found grace in the eyes of the lord because he operated in faith but 99.999 of the
world in noah's day operated in unbelief and it's a lesson for us the majority of the world is going
is operating in unbelief don't you operate in unbelief if you find unbelief creeping in the desired not
to believe God, you've got to stand up against it. It's faith that saves. Faith that saves,
faith that saves, not unbelief. And so we're going to ask Rick if he would pray for us to say that
if, you know, the Lord would search our hearts for those times that we failed to really believe God
and everything that he's telling us to do, to obey every instruction that he gives us. Just usually
the simple ones are the hardest for a lot of people to keep and when i say instructions i don't mean
the ten commandments that's important but operating in the faith that god has instructed you in
and so rick would you pray for us today that uh the uh we would be like the uh person that addressed
jesus lord i believe helped out my unbelief yes so doc i'm seeing people saying that gale was the first so
Alson Gale book to, okay?
Nobody left behind.
That's what George Bush would say.
Nobody's left behind.
I want anybody that participated.
I'm glad that you figured out who Jokobed was.
All right, let's pray.
Father, God.
Father, we thank you for this holy,
ritual which our Lord has provided for us where he changed the Passover meal into his
supper because he is the Passover lamb and so Father we come to you with Thanksgiving
that we are saved we are forgiven we are in your family and we have
your righteousness because we have obtained it by faith and nobody can take that away from us
nobody can nobody has the right to say that we're not righteous if we if we are in a state of
repentance and and we have faith in your word and your promises and nobody has the right
to strip us of our righteousness and so father we declare
ourselves righteous in faith because we believe Jesus and we have gathered here to receive of
his of his flesh and his blood and we receive it by faith it is the meal that heals it is the
holy divine meal from heaven and father we are blessed to participate in the name of Jesus Christ
Amen. Amen. Praise God. Well, we're going to pray a prayer of blessing over the elements of the
Lord's table. And those elements are bread and either red wine or grape juice, whichever you
prefer. And those that participate are those who have made a confession of faith in Jesus Christ
as Lord and Savior and have been baptized in water according to scriptures and brought into the ark.
baptism is the ark as
Rick mentioned
and so we're going to pray the Lord's blessing
over these elements and let's participate in the
Lord's table today
Almighty God in your tender mercy you gave
your only begotten son Jesus Christ
to suffer death upon the cross
for our redemption. He offered
himself and made once for all time a
perfect and sufficient sacrifice
for the sins of the whole world
and he instituted this remembrance
of his passion and death which he commanded
us to continue until he comes again
And so, Father, we ask you to bless and sanctify with your word and Holy Spirit these gifts of bread and wine that we may partake of his most blessed body and blood.
Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed once for all upon the cross.
Therefore, let us keep the feast.
Alleluia.
On the night that he was betrayed, our Lord Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it.
gave it to his disciples saying take eat this is my body which is given for you
do this in remembrance of me the body of our lord jesus christ which is given for you
preserve your body and soul to everlasting life this is the bread of heaven take and eat
in remembrance that christ died for you
After supper, Jesus took the cup, and when he'd given thanks, he gave it to them, saying,
drink this all of you, for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Whenever you drink it, do this in remembrance of me.
The blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, which was shed for you, preserve your body and soul to everlasting life.
Drink the cup of salvation in remembrance.
that Christ's blood was shed for you and be thankful.
Behold the Lamb of God.
Behold Him who takes away the sins of the world,
and blessed are those who are invited to the Married Supper of the Lamb.
The sacrament is the gift of God for the people of God.
Feed on Him by faith with Thanksgiving that Christ died for you.
And if you participate in the Lord's Supper today,
you were participating in an act of faith today.
You believed God today.
Jesus said, do this.
As often as you do this, do this.
And so there was an expectation for something to be done.
You were doing it today.
So thus we did.
Thus we did.
He said to do and thus we did.
That's what obedience is.
That's what obedience is.
He said, do it.
Thus we did.
Go through the Bible in the, in the New Testament.
and read what Jesus said we should do.
There's a lot of things.
There's a lot of things.
Just focus on the New Testament.
We're not killing sheep and goats in the old.
We're in the New Testament.
Just get that one down.
Get the New Testament down.
Obey it.
You're not qualified to criticize and judge anybody else until you
have done everything in the new covenant. And by the time you've done that, you won't be judging
or criticizing anybody. That's right. You'll be too busy doing. Well, it will have transformed
you. That's right. Okay. Thank God. All right, everybody. Thank you so much. Appreciate
you being here today. Have a great weekend and spend time with the Lord. Make some time.
to be with him. Amen. Send some kisses and hugs up from earth to heaven. Tell your
Papa how much you love him. He'll send some kisses and hugs down from heaven to you.
He's a wonderful father. I'll see you next week. All right. God bless you. We continue in
Proverbs on Monday on Morning Manna. God bless you.
Thank you.
