Good morning, everybody. Welcome the morning, Nana. That's Tuesday, and we are in the eighth chapter of the book of Proverbs. Today we're studying verses 12 through 16. We welcome you to the class wherever you are in the world, whatever time of the day it is, whether it's morning or evening. We're delighted to have you with us to study the Word of God for one hour. And it's my sincere hope.
in prayer that you will leave this class today blessed and lifted up and aware of spiritual
truth that you didn't know existed before you came to this class.
Amen.
That's my prayer for myself, that all of us learned something today.
So we're going to read verses 12 through 16, Proverbs.
I'm going to start with prayer, then Doc's going to read the word.
Almighty God, our Father in Heaven, you are beyond our comprehension.
You are beyond our ability to describe you.
You are God.
And we know who you are.
You're not just a God.
You're the only God.
There's never been a God before you.
There's not another God today.
There will not be another God tomorrow.
you are God and you are the God that made and created Adam and Eve.
You are the God of Methuselah.
You are the God of Noah.
You are the God of Abraham and Moses and Ezekiel and Isaiah and Jeremiah and all the prophets.
You are the God of John the Baptist.
You are the God of all the apostles.
You are the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ.
You are our God and our Father.
And we worship you today, Father.
We have gathered here saints in your kingdom from many nations to learn to be taught by your Holy Spirit.
So Holy Spirit, take charge of this class and illuminate our hearts and minds to better see and understand the greatness of our God.
God, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen. Amen. Welcome to Morning Manna. We're so glad to have you here with us.
Morning Man is a ministry of faith and values, and we are privileged to have you here with us,
no matter where you are across the globe, Switzerland, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Philippines.
Thank you for being here across the U.S. and Canada as well.
We're continuing our study in Proverbs chapter 8, and we're going to be reading verse.
verses 12 through 16 here this morning.
So if you want to turn there and prepare your hearts to read the word together with me,
Proverbs 8 is identifying the personification of wisdom.
And it's going into great detail about the personality of wisdom itself,
how wisdom was at the beginning of creation, how wisdom sustains us,
how wisdom gives us life now.
And we continue that study today by picking up in verse 12.
wisdom dwell with prudence and find out knowledge of witty inventions the fear of the
lord is to hate evil pride and arrogance and the evil way and the forward mouth do i hate
counsel is mine and sound wisdom i am understanding i have strength by me king's reign
and princes decree justice by me prince's rule and nobles even all the judges of the earth
reading of his word today who's in charge doc wisdom right verse 12 i wisdom dwell with prudence
and find out knowledge of witty inventions you need to perk up on this one really pay attention to this one
Here's how you can be blessed beyond anything you have ever imagined could happen in your life.
Wisdom finds out knowledge of witty inventions.
One invention will change your life.
So let's get into this.
So what we have here is wisdom personified, speaking as a
as a person a being it's my view is it's the holy spirit right so the holy spirit is speaking
through a um a being called wisdom and she declares her her nature and her in inseparable companionship
She says, I wisdom dwell with prudence.
In other words, I live with prudence.
So there's a permanent, intimate,
indispensable association between the two,
wisdom and prudence.
So if you're going to seek wisdom,
you better know what prudence is.
Because they go together.
wisdom lives with prudence they share house in other words they got the same address
prudence in this context refers to practical wisdom right foresight discernment discretion the
ability to act thoughtfully judiciously in all the affairs of life in today's language we would
say common sense but as doc likes to say if it was common everybody would have it right
but when but when we say common sense what we're really saying is that person has prudence
they have the ability, the knowledge to handle wisdom in the affairs of life.
So we've got a foundational truth here.
Divine wisdom is never reckless.
Divine wisdom is not naive, it's not impulsive, it's not irresponsible,
but wisdom is always grounded.
in careful planning and practical discretion I have met people who have very little limited education
and yet have built and managed very large successful businesses they didn't have an MBA in
business. But they had an MBA imprudence. They knew how to build an organization. They knew how to
manage people. They knew how to achieve goals. This is prudence, careful planning, strategies,
discretion um avoiding pitfalls in life avoiding characters people with questionable characters
would you say it's more discernment yes yeah there's just discernment is clearly a big factor
foresight, discernment, discretion,
the ability to make wise, practical decisions.
So wisdom dwells with prudence.
So prudence is not an optional add-on.
Hey, if you choose wisdom,
Would you like prudence?
You don't have to choose prudence.
It's there if you want it.
No, it doesn't work that way.
If you choose wisdom, prudence comes along.
Prudence is part of the package.
They are inseparable.
And so because they're inseparable, that requires us to study prudence.
so the fact that wisdom dwells with prudence means that wisdom's counsel is always safe it's
always reliable and it's always practical that's really important that it's always practical
that it's always practical prudence makes sure that you can apply wisdom to your affairs
prudence shows you how to take wisdom and add it into every part of your life
in your family in your marriage in your business in your career in your relationships with
friends and associates in your health everything wisdom and
prudence work as a team when you seek wisdom wisdom says i hear you and prudence is going to show you
how to implement it if you don't know how to implement wisdom it is of no value to you right you know
on the surface it seems like okay this these two are not they can't be separate
separate things but they are you know on the surface it seems like well if i have wisdom i would
automatically know but that's not the case if we if it was the bible wouldn't tell us we need
prudence prudence is the it's the practical application of the principles of wisdom right
Okay, I'm trying to think of a real-life example.
Okay, so let's say I'm seeking the Lord about something in the management of my business affairs.
And the Lord shows me a software that I need.
And what he's saying to me is, this is wisdom talking to you.
You need to acquire and use this software.
That's wisdom saying the software will solve this problem.
So then I download the software and I don't know how to use it.
Wisdoms talk to me.
Wisdom said this will solve this problem.
This is an answer to your prayer.
now what I need is prudence
prudence shows me how to use the software
wisdom gave me the
led me to make the right decision
prudence says now this is how you implement that decision
that's why they're
that's why they're joined together
you got to have both of them
in your family affairs you seek god you ask for wisdom on a matter he shows you the broad
principle of wisdom here's here's the solution to this family problem but you need prudence
to know how to actually implement it day to day because you can't just go to family members and
say hey I got wisdom and this is going to solve our family issues it doesn't work that way
but you need prudence to carefully implement the wisdom that God gave you am I making am I explaining
this I'm trying to think of practical ways to to explain what prudence does for us
it's not enough just to have the wisdom you have to have the prudence to implement wisdom
that's where we fall down too often we get the answer but not the plan
you got to get when you ask the lord for the answer the solution hang around long enough to get the
plan yes and all you're getting get understanding yes
because I've done that in the past.
Hey, I got the answer and I go rushing off.
I got the answer.
And then I get out there like, I don't have the plan.
I have to go back forward.
Something's missing here.
Yeah, Rick, you took off running.
I was still talking to you and you were running.
You're just so excited.
Oh, I got to say, hey, I got the answer.
I prayed, I got the answer.
Man, I'm off to the race.
Let's go do it.
But, you know, the father's still standing back there on the porch saying, wait a minute, I'm not done talking.
You need my plan.
I gave you the solution, but you didn't wait for the plan.
So prudence is the plan, the strategy, the methods.
so what we know is because prudence and wisdom dwell together then we know that the wisdom of counsel is safe it's reliable and it's practical
it will work there will be a practical you won't say well that's a theory that that's that's wonderful to teach it as a theory
but what about the nitty-gritty day-to-day living and prudence says that's where I come in
I'll show you how to implement that theory excuse me now it's not a theory because a theory
has to be proven and wisdom doesn't have to be proven but I'm trying to use a teaching example
think about um what's the opposite void of understanding who who is void of understanding
simpletons fools they they don't have the understanding the understanding the
prudence basically the same and then it says this is wisdom's talking and
and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
I get excited about this one.
This is, this fascinates me.
The phrase, find out knowledge of witty inventions.
It describes wisdom's unique capacity
to discover, reveal,
to be the, the ultimate source of insight and genius inventions.
Look, every invention originated from wisdom.
Yes.
now men people twist the inventions and use them for the wrong thing
but it's it's God who gives us wisdom
to create something new
he's a creator
um
I just the other day I was watching
I was watching an interview with a young man
And, you know, I would say, look, he's in the 40s, you know, that's young to me today, okay?
And he owns a very successful business.
And you probably have seen him on television.
He hosts his own commercials.
But he was describing how God gave him the idea.
The idea, his product has brought help to many people.
But it's brought money to him.
It's made him very successful.
But he openly, publicly says it was God who gave me this idea.
What he's saying is, wisdom gave me knowledge of witty inventions.
I've heard this countless times.
from successful men and women some of them who went on to become billionaires that an idea
appeared in their head and i've heard this from saved christians and unsaved people
an idea appeared out of nowhere an idea and they they acted on the idea and they pursued it and
they developed it and there's struggle it doesn't just happen overnight they're struggle you have to
pursue i'm of the belief that every day the holy spirit wisdom is broadcasting new ideas
inventions of products new services solutions to problems
casting, they're going through the atmosphere. And all you have to do is reach up and grab one.
How do you explain? And I've had this happen in my life. How do you explain somebody, you get an
idea and you go, wow, that is an amazing idea. I've got to work on this. I've got to do it. I know what you're
going to say. I know what you're going to say. Yeah. And I've got to work on this and develop it. And you
actually do it. You can start working on it. And you might spend a year.
year working on it and discover that somebody on another continent is working on the same idea
yes how to explain it i believe that idea was broadcast by wisdom and two of us grabbed it at the same
time i don't know any other way to explain it
these ideas are floating out there in in the atmosphere i don't i'm not talking about the clouds of
you know um but each of us have the opportunity to seek wisdom and wisdom will
will lead you to knowledge of witty inventions wisdom will give you an idea
You know, I like the TV show Shark Tank.
And I often hear people tell the sharks.
You know, it might be a woman saying,
my husband was injured in his work.
He couldn't work anymore.
We have four children.
The responsibility fell on me to pay all the bills.
And I struggled for years.
And then one day this idea came to me.
And I began to develop the idea.
I've heard that story many times from Shark Tank.
That's wisdom.
This is why I'm telling you there's no excuse to be broke.
There is, please don't send me your excuses.
I don't buy them.
I just don't buy them.
Wisdom is sending out ideas for you to be blessed.
wisdom is broadcasting new ideas every day
right it might be a book
it might be a better way to do something
it might be an idea
it could be anything
but the Holy Spirit if you lean into him
he's going to provide opportunities for you
to
to do something for him
I know some of the translations out there
translate witty inventions to prudence or discretion but in the
overwhelming places throughout the Old Testament that Mesemaw phrase is is
interpreted as plans or like a blueprint sometimes it's used in a negative
sense like schemes of evil people but plans but in more cases than anything
else that you used as like a blueprint or a plan to do something that's uh but that's part of it too
that's inspired by the holy spirit as well is knowing what to do knowing how to do it that can only
come from the holy spirit doc i'm thinking about a man you know the man now this happened 30 years ago
okay he told me this story at least 30 years ago
and the story was old when he told me his story.
So I'm guessing maybe, you know,
maybe this event happened 40, 45 years ago.
So the amount of money, you got to adjust it for inflation for today.
But he told me that he desperately needed $20,000.
He was in a bond.
He needed $20,000.
Now, today that would be what, you know, $200,000, okay?
And so he's praying and seeking God, where, how am I going to get this money?
I mean, imagine today you've got to find $200,000 in a week or two, okay?
Just how do you do that?
It's a mountain, at a mountain that was standing in front of him.
And he's praying.
And the Lord told him, it's in your bank safety box.
And he's thinking, I don't have that money.
There's no cash in that bank safety box.
And the Lord kept saying to him, it is in your bank safety deposit box.
So he called his office manager and told her where she could get the key to his bank's, you know, safety box, go to the bank and open it up and find out what's in there.
And she called him back and she said, well, you know, she read all the, you know, the items.
And then she said, and then there's a file folder that you wrote something with an idea.
tell me what is it so she read it to him it was an idea he had received from the lord years ago
and he wrote it down and he put it in a file folder and put it in the bank safety deposit box
because he wanted to hold on it he didn't want that idea to ever get away from him
and and so at that moment the holy spirit said such and such and such
a company will buy that piece of paper from you for $20,000.
He called that company, got through to a senior person,
and they absolutely said, yes, we'll take that idea.
If you sign off on it, we'll give you the $20,000 right away.
He had a witty invention, and he forgot about it.
But there came a time that he needed that money.
And the Lord said, I gave you an idea that would produce money for you.
You never developed it, but there's somebody who will develop it and give you $20,000 for it today.
This is how God can change your life.
There's no mountain in front of you that he can't move.
There's no need that you're facing that he can't solve.
You have to take the limitations off God.
What problems are you not allowing God to solve?
Listen to what I just said.
What problems in your life are you not allowing God to solve?
He desires to solve it?
but you don't let him solve it because of unbelief because of doubt because of narrow-minded
thinking because of limitations remove the limitations wisdom gives you knowledge of witty inventions
god can change your circumstances in 24 hours so
wisdom is the ultimate source of all intellectual property all of it came from wisdom he's got his own IP
yes he's the owner of IP what you do with it you're held accountable for it
all meaningful discovery all creative solutions throughout society ultimately derive from or
originate from wisdom few people however give wisdom credit for what they what they quote discover
people like to to be known as i'm the discoverer of such and such thing or you were the
recipient of a witty invention you were the recipient of knowledge of revelation from god
that humanity didn't know up until you received it give glory to god for it don't take credit for
yourself so innovation solutions new ideas they come from the holy spirit they come from wisdom
and then it says in verse 13 the fear of the lord is to hate evil pride and arrogance
in the evil way and the froward mouth do i hate
Did he make himself clear?
I hate it.
He hates it.
I hate it.
I, you know, I could spit it out.
I hate it.
So this phrase, the fear of the Lord,
this is the foundational concept
taught throughout Proverbs.
The foundation of wisdom for you to acquire wisdom, the foundation is the fear of the Lord.
You can't move on until you have this down, the fear of the Lord.
And the fear of God is, this is not a, we're not talking about a paralyzing dread or terror,
but it's profound reverence, deep respect.
it's reverent all
for the creator of the universe
and his pure character
his supreme authority
that
the soundness of his will
his plan
that it has no error
so
your
profound
reverence for God then it manifests as an active moral aversion to all forms of evil okay so we said
wherever there's wisdom there's prudence you can't separate the two same thing
same thing about reverence for God the fear
of God automatically means you hate evil it's just it's a given that's right if you fear God you
hate evil it it the hatred of evil is is a strong abhorrence of anything that contradicts god's
it's not just the you know the standard litany list of of sins you know we have our we have our top 10 you know list
well surely that's what god's talking about no goes beyond it goes beyond those things
he says he also hates pride and arrogance
right
oh
the fear of the Lord is to hate evil
and then
what does he name first
does he name
the woke agenda no what comes first is pride and what comes second is arrogance they're at the top of the list
the things that we think are abhorrent they don't even show up on the list at the very top of the list is pride and
arrogance and yet there are religious people who are very proud that they are above other sinners
yeah and their pride is at the top of the list of things that god hates right you know
one of the things, I was looking, saying, oh, you're looking down your nose at this person
who committed this sin. Well, you're proud and arrogant saying, I've never done that sin,
but the worst sin that I hate is your pride and your arrogance. Right. One of the things I
hear about, you know, and we've heard it for decades, Rick, about a lot of our evangelical
brothers and sisters who've been deceived by politics is that we need to have a seat at
the table you've heard that we need a seat at so we've got a seat at the table but at the heart
of that is pride isn't it yes yes we're at the table here everybody look we we have influence
we have we have power but the source of power and that arrogance comes from pride
absolutely right doc uh they're able to
But they have to compromise when they get to seat at the table.
That's right.
They have to compromise.
Or you will lose your seat.
Yeah.
So wisdom explicitly states, there's no ambiguity here at all.
This is hatred.
And the hatred is for pride and arrogance.
And pride is an inflated, exaggerated sense of self-importance.
It's self-exaltation that denies its need to be dependent on God.
You hear people say, oh, I'm a self-made man.
That's pride.
Yeah.
I pulled myself by my own bootstraps.
And as a country, what do we love to boast of?
American pride.
Right.
We put it on signs.
We sing about it, American pride.
I'm proud to be an American.
Yes, yes.
We sing about pride.
We're proud of our pride.
We're proud of our pride.
So if pride is a self-exaltation, an inflated ego, an inflated sense of importance,
then ericancy, it's the same thing as haughtiness.
They go together with arrogance.
Just as wisdom and prudence hang out together, pride and arrogance,
live together so what's arrogance all right that's a contemptuous disdainful attitude towards other people
now listen with this this is this is interesting so it's arrogance is manifested in haughty looks
or here's your word of the day doc supercilious behavior oh wow all right that's a crackerjack word
there yeah have you ever been supercilious so what is supercilious well doc it's supercilious it's
supercilious it means okay an arrogant disdainful look at somebody but the origin of this word supercilious
it's a latin word that means raised eyebrow hmm you you raise your eyebrows
and you look down at somebody.
Supersillium is Latin for eyebrow.
So a supercilious person is a person that raises their eyebrow and looks down at somebody.
That's called arrogance, haughtiness.
And God hates it.
He hates it.
so what I was talking about yesterday
you do not have to tolerate supercilious people in your life
do not allow supercilious people
to make you feel inferior
is there somebody in your life who makes you feel inferior
is there somebody who speaks to you
in a haughty proud arrogant manner
that makes you feel
worthless makes you feel subhuman who robs you of your self-respect and dignity that's a super
silliest person that's a person who's raising his or her eyebrow and looking at you with disdain
and god hates that look and you have a right you have a right to tell that super sillious person
I will not allow you to treat me this way.
You're not qualified to be in my world.
You're disqualified.
You can disqualify people from being in your presence.
It's God's on your side.
When somebody looks at you this way, treat you this way,
God is on your side. He's saying, sister, brother, I mean, he's saying son, daughter. You don't have to
allow this to happen to you. You don't have to allow these people to treat you this way. I hate
that look. Put a different light on it, doesn't it? Yes. Man, I've been, I've been the victim of people like that.
all my life and I tolerated it not anymore not anymore because I am made in the likeness
an image of Almighty God and I have self-respect I have dignity and I deserve to be treated
that way and I'm not going to allow anybody to mistreat me I don't mistreat people and I'm not going to
allow people to mistreat me and i'm i'm trying to impart that into your life stand up for who you are
stand up for who you are stand up for your dignity your self-respect do not allow somebody to
brow beat you down make you feel shamed and worthless do not allow that to happen
amen there's no there's no reason to continue to receive
abuse. And abuse is different than persecution. Persecution is a whole different
level of things. That's right. Abuse is a is mainly in personal
relationships or with other humans. Persecution generally is you know comes
from a higher order and from whatever the government control is at the spirit of
the age. But abuse is a whole different
story. Women, you don't have to put up with abuse from a man and men. You don't have to put up with abuse from a woman or other men.
That's right. You're human. You have dignity. You have respect. You have honor.
If you show that to others, it should be reflected back to you. And you don't have to remain in any presence where abuse exists.
You're not obligated. Make it your your foundation.
principles that you are going to treat every person you meet with dignity, respect, and
civility, no matter how they act, no matter their behavior, their lifestyles, their political
views, whatever.
Look, we meet people that have radically different lifestyles that are.
and typical to the Bible, okay?
So often the typical religious response is to do what?
To look down on them with a haughty look, to mistreat them, to speak rudely to them.
No, you make it your foundational principle of life that you are going to treat everybody that you meet with.
respect with with dignity and respect and civility and then you demand the same from everybody else
yes you have a right to demand it if that's how you treat everyone else if you don't
treat others with dignity respect and civility you don't have the right to demand it for
yourself you can cry all you want to about people mistreating you but you're the mistreater
if you if you don't treat people right you're the mistreater so make sure you're treating people
right everybody you meet show respect honor their dignity and treat them with civility
what civility acting civil
polite
decent
learn to talk like a texan
i'm going to have to explain that one
well there's a lot of yes sir
no ma'am
or Texans are polite
I hope they're still that way.
I haven't been to Texas for a few years.
But they, they, and when I live there, I learned real fast,
you better say yes, sir, no, ma'am, in reply.
You are to show respect.
The one thing that will make a Texan upset is a lack of respect.
They'll put up, they'll tolerate with a lot of stuff,
but they won't tolerate a lack of respect.
And they'll give you an attitude adjustment.
So let's learn to do this.
Let's learn to treat people with dignity and respect and civility.
And watch what happens in our life.
And when people mistreat us, we calmly but firmly say,
I can't allow you to talk to me that way.
I can't allow you to look at me that way.
The haughty, proud, arrogant abusers, because that's what they are, they're abusers, they'll be shocked.
They won't know what to do because nobody stands up to them.
Right.
They'll back off.
They'll have to go find somebody else to show disrespect to.
I'll have to go find another low life to look down on.
because that's the way they think they have to find somebody to look down on
again supercilious means eyebrow it's it's the word for it's the word that's used here for
arrogance haughtiness a person that raises their eyebrow in contempt for another person
it's the opposite of humility
total opposite
opposite
so look at the pairs
we've got wisdom and prudence
versus pride and arrogance
in this corner
stands
wisdom and prudence
and over here in this corner
is pride and arrogance
come on out
okay
that's who's battling every day one tag team is wisdom and prudence the other tag team is pride and arrogance
they are in direct unequivocal opposition to each other you can't have a mixed match you can't
have wisdom matched with pride and prudence matched with arrogance it's not wisdom wisdom and pride
versus prudence and arrogance.
It doesn't work that way.
They can't.
They're opposite each other.
You have to choose which pair do you desire to work in and operate in.
People who are humble have teachable spirits.
People who are proud and arrogant have unteachable spirits.
proud and arrogant have unteachable spirits you can't teach them anything right they know everything
know anybody like that know anybody the moment you start to talk about something they
immediately shut you down because they already know the answer and you're wrong and you're stupid
and they're not even going to give you the respect and the civility
and dignity to express your view because they see you as stupid and they see themselves as
superior to you can you put a face on anybody how many of these people are in your life
See, you've got to trans-send relationships.
These can be family members.
They can be friends.
They can be workers, coworkers.
They can be people church.
I can't tell you, Doc, over 26 years, how many people I hired that
At some point in their employment with me told me I was stupid and they knew more than me.
It may not have said those exact words, but yeah, that's happened more than once.
More than once.
And then I was always thinking, well, if I'm so stupid, how did I hire you?
Chew on that one, Mr. Smarty Pants.
you're working for me but you're you're implying i'm stupid but i've had to deal with this
yeah and arrogance in people um the height of arrogance is to believe you are the master of your life
and that you are the source of your salvation
directly insults Jesus Christ
who paid the greatest price
to deliver your soul from damnation.
Right.
And yet there are many people in the world
who do not believe that they need salvation.
They do not believe they need a God.
That's the height of arrogance
to think that they can save themselves.
And then it says,
wisdom hates the evil way and the froward mouth do i hate well the the evil way is everything else that's wrong
the evil way everything that's that's corrupt everything that leads to destruction you can put it all in
that one phrase the evil way the the froward mouth the perverse mouth it's again it's not so much
we think it's it's it's profanity it's it's it's beyond profanity it's twisted words a person can
have a perverse froward mouth and never say a four word four word four letter word you know
swearing and cursing yes it can still have a twisted mouth what's twisted their words their thoughts
the things that they speak are twisted meaning
they are contrary to what the word of god says if they are contrary to the word of god those words are
twisted that's what he hates against so many times religious people think oh god man it says in the
bible he hates people who curse he hates people that use dirty words that's not what it says
look you're not supposed to use dirty words you're not supposed to use swear words that's not
what it says he hates twisted words yes perverse perverse and then verse 14 counsel is mine and sound wisdom
i am understanding and i have strength all wisdom's talking now wisdom is standing tall now
wisdom speaking with absolute authority counsel is mine all good counsel belongs to me hallelujah
all supreme strategic advice all wise deliberation all effective guidance for making sound decisions all of it comes from me wisdom
she's bold about it now she said i'll tell you what i hate but let me tell you who i am
wisdom saying i am the ultimate advisor in your life my advice is flawless
my insightfulness is profound there is no one in the universe who will give you
better advice than me that's not boasting when you're speaking truth that's not boasting
all facts no boast just here it is I'm telling you the truth and somebody says all facts no boasting
they mean i can i i i can prove what i'm saying
sound wisdom
effective wisdom
it says that
her counsel her advice is not merely theoretical
it's not abstract
it's practical
it's for today you can use it today
it's not a theory that you're going to go sit
in a college class for four years and debate whether this theory is real.
Wisdom says take it into the streets today, take it to your house today, take it to the gym,
take it to the office, it works. I give you my word, it works. She's saying my advice is true,
it's trustworthy, it's infallible.
And she says, I am understanding.
And wisdom has, now she's identifying herself.
We're supposed to get understanding.
Then she says, but I am understanding.
Yes.
I am understanding.
She's not just a source of understanding, but she is understanding itself.
she is complete in her being she's saying i'm not lacking anything i am wisdom and i am understanding
it's all here in me one package and then she says i have strength
she she's declaring her power her capability her inner fortitude and she's saying if you lean on me i'm strong
lean into me lean on me i'm strong i'm strong i have strength my my advice will stand the test of
whatever test comes against you my advice will stand i'm strong you can trust me i've never failed ever
in the history of the world i've never failed there's no weakness no flaws i'm strong
and then verse 15 by me king's reign princess decree justice
she's saying she is the legitimate authority in all earthly realms
and that all kings and princes and presidents and prime ministers
who make right decisions good decisions they got it from her
so even secular leaders
prosper
when they align themselves with wisdom.
One more verse,
verse 16,
by
me prince's rule and nobles
even all the judges of the earth
by me
their governance
is
the foundation for good government
is wisdom
yes
and a good nobleman
a good king a good president
will lean into
wisdom
and make their decisions based on wisdom
and understanding
and that will bring about effective
administration of their government
we've been studying Daniel
why was Daniel
so good at running the government
that four different kings
elevated him
yes
he had wisdom
all the kings
four different kings said
I don't know what that boy's got
but he sure can run the government
all the checks go out on time
the trains are on time
on time
everything's working
I don't know how he does it but don't you dare
let anything happen to him we need him
Daniel had wisdom
and the government was efficient
because of him
so wherever you find
government that's efficient
and honorable
and honest
wisdom is
is there
it's in somebody somebody in power in that government is operating in wisdom okay we're
over a time limit that's it doc all right well a great lesson day Rick and we're going to continue

Rick, any final words before we bid farewell for today?
Yeah, I see Kimberly and some others have mentioned Dr. Les Carter, and I'm glad that you're watching his videos.
I believe Les Carter is absolutely the number one, most informed, knowledgeable expert, at least in America, about narcissism.
And he retired again last week.
Broke my heart.
All right.
I understand it.
I get it.
He's been doing these YouTube narcissism videos for seven years.
he's got 1,400 videos on YouTube.
And one day last week, he announced his second retirement.
He had retired seven years ago from his therapy practice and then started the YouTube videos.
And so he retired again.
But I want to tell you something, the day before, this is, God is my witness.
I'm telling you the truth, the day before, I was.
driving home and I was listening to Dr. Carter and this thought came to me and doc I was I was
really close to your neighborhood I know where I was at on the on the road when this
thought came to me and this thought came to my mind he's he's tired he has said all
that he can say there's nothing else to say and he's going to announce that
If he made another video, he would just be repeating himself.
And the very next day, wow, he did it.
He retired.
So the Lord prepared me and said, no, he's said it all.
And when I heard him announce his retirement, I, you know, I absolutely understood it because it's what I did with true news.
It's like I, there's nothing else left to say about the news.
I've said all that I'm going to say.
and to continue is just to repeat and but anyhow he did retire last week but he his videos are still there
and i'm telling you you got 1400 videos that you can watch you will learn things about human
behavior you never knew he is absolutely a to me he's a treasure to the church
he understands human behavior
and he's got a calm, reasonable voice
that tells you how to deal with difficult people
because that's been one of my biggest weaknesses
I've not known how to deal with difficult people.
It's just a challenge.
Now I'm listening to Dr. Craig.
Okay, but you know what?
It's because he had to deal with difficult people.
Right.
And God gave him wisdom to pass on to the rest of us.
So I bless him in his retirement.
I hope he and his wife have a happy retirement.
He deserves it.
We'll see how long it lasts.
Yeah.
It's like when you spend your life as a problem solver,
it's hard to stop solving problems.
Yes, it is. He'll pop up somewhere else.
Okay, we're over time. Got to go. See it tomorrow. God bless you. Love you. Bye-bye.
