All right. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to morning, Manna. It's Wednesday, and we are delighted to have you here with us today.
Dr. Burckhardt is at home. He's going to have eye surgery in a few hours, and we're going to pray for him at the end of today's lesson.
And I'm sure he'll recover very quickly and be back here, I guess, on Friday.
hopefully tomorrow but probably Friday yes so yeah okay if not we'll be here on Monday actually we won't
be here on Monday we will be there there will be a lesson all next week Doc and I are traveling
we're going to a conference and we will have pre-recorded morning manna lessons we're trying it
different ways we've tried to do it live from hotel rooms and that's very difficult
particularly if you're if you're in the Pacific time zone and so that means going
live at 5 a.m. which means getting up around 3.30 to be ready and having your
lesson done the night before and it's very there's a lot of pressure to it
doing it that way so we're this time we're we're pre-recording the lessons
they'll start on time at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday next week
week but we won't be physically here so but we're here today and we are in we are in the eighth chapter
of proverbs and today it's verses 17 through 21 let's pray almighty god our wonderful heavenly father
thank you father for this day thank you for life thank you for your word thank you for your son
and thank you for your spirit.
Father, teach us your word.
You said to seek wisdom early.
And that's what we're doing, Father.
And we are committing to you that we will devote the rest of our lives seeking wisdom.
And it can only be found in Christ.
And so, Father, teach us in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
Amen.
Amen. And we welcome you to morning, man, no matter where you are across the world, including Russia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Japan, and all points across the U.S. and Canada.
Welcome to this ministry of faith and values. Glad to have you with us.
We're continuing our study today in Proverbs chapter 8 and pinging up today on verse 17.
So if you've got your Bibles, let's read verses 17 through 21 today.
and let's, you know, always be mindful as we read the word that these are the precious words of God.
Really, that's the message that's coming across in Proverbs 8 is we need to consider the wisdom of God,
the word of God to be so precious.
And so as we read the word, let's take that into consideration today.
Verse 17, I love them that love me, and those that seek me early shall find me.
riches and honor are with me yea durable riches and righteousness my fruit is better than gold
yea than fine gold and my revenue than choice silver i lead in the way of righteousness in the
midst of the paths of judgment that i may cause those that love me to inherit substance and i will
fill their treasures god bless the reading of his word today oh these are some good verses
I will fill their treasures yes sir verse 17 I love them that love me and those that seek me early shall find me
before I delve into this verse I want to share with you two definitions of
wisdom that I read this morning in Bible commentaries.
The first one is in the Jameson Fawcett-Brown Bible commentary, three gentlemen, Jameson Fawcett-Brown.
And they said, wisdom, the use of the best means for the best ends.
I'll say it again.
use of the best means for the best ends.
Albert Barnes and his Bible commentary said that wisdom is the power by which human personality
reaches its highest spiritual perfection by which all lower elements are brought into harmony
with the highest. I like these definitions.
so verse 17 it starts with i i love them that love me it establishes a reciprocal relational nature
between you and and wisdom that wisdom's love is not a passive gift but a direct response to genuine love and devotion from you
now we we know that god loves all unconditional love but in this sense he is speaking to us in the voice of
wisdom and he's saying that his wisdom loves those who love her
yes this does not mean that god does not love everybody he loves everyone his his love is
unconditional but he's he's refining this love in in relation to wisdom he says now when it comes
to wisdom i love those who love me
that doesn't mean that salvation is blocked from them or his love is denied them it's saying there are certain perks certain benefits that come with wisdom and they are reserved 100% for those who love wisdom
We're going to look at what these benefits are.
So the prerequisite to receive wisdom's love is to love her first.
Yes.
Well, or some people say, well, that doesn't sound Christ like.
Well, this is Christ talking.
He's saying,
love my wisdom
love my wisdom first
and my wisdom will then
love you
so it implies
a deep personal affection
a cherishing
of wisdom's value
a desire for communion
with wisdom
placing wisdom at the very
center of your heart
again you compare this with the in moral woman in chapter seven
she was impersonal any man will do
she didn't care she's just looking for the next guy
right her relationship was transactional
her relationships were self-serving
her relationships were selfish she didn't know how to love but the immoral woman does not know how to love
she only knows how to have a have a superficial physical relationship not a deep emotional relationship
So what we're being taught here is that true meaningful relationships with wisdom is a two-way street.
That our love for her, for wisdom, must be foundational.
It has to originate from our hearts, and it must come first.
And when she recognizes that we truly love her wisdom, she responds with love.
she's not giving out her love to everybody she's offering it to everybody she's standing in the streets she's
standing at the gates she's at the door she's at the intersections my love is available
and then she says but you got to love me first that's not contradictory
she say my love is available to everybody here but before i give it to you you've got to love me
first right it wisdom responds to pursuit yes and pursuit is what doc i mean to seek after it to
follow after somebody to be devoted to them but pursuit is the proof of desire right
you can say you desire something but if there's no pursuit it's those are empty words
pursuit is the proof of desire you pursue you chase after something that you desire
so the first and most crucial step in gaining wisdom is to cultivate
a deep personal abiding love for her you value wisdom above everything else the fear of god is the
beginning of wisdom we start with the fear of god and then it says in those that seek me early
this this signifies an active deliberate intentional pursuit of wisdom
a commitment of aligning your your will and your energy to the search
she's saying here i don't give out my love to those who don't give out my love to those who
don't get up off the sofa to look for me.
I don't give out my love to those who just stumble upon me.
I give out my love to those who passionately seek me.
I mean, you put this in relation in context with
human relationships between men and women when you were dating all right if you're a female
you're you're looking at which which man is actively pursuing you yes and if you're a man
you're not just passively sitting there saying i hope she chooses me
You're actively pursuing.
You're letting her know, I like you, I desire you, I'd like to be with you, I want to know you.
And so wisdom is personified here as a female.
And so she's looking, who is pursuing me?
Who is actively seeking me?
And it says those who seek her early.
I see three explanations of early and all of them are accepted.
It's not one or the other.
I think it has three meanings that are applicable to this proverb.
Number one, we're encouraged to seek wisdom in the early hours of the morning each day.
before you start your day
secondly
seeking wisdom early means
making the pursuit
and the acquisition of wisdom
your first priority
in your day
right
the primary pursuit
in your life
the central focus
of your day
and then thirdly
I think it refers to urgency.
Yes.
Pursuing wisdom is of paramount urgency and concern.
She doesn't come second, third, fourth, or fifth in your life in your day.
Your priority, you have an urgency to pursue.
sue her every day you start your day i need wisdom a simple thing in your prayers of simply every morning
just saying father i need i'm requesting wisdom and understanding you you instructed me to seek
to ask you said you would give it to me liberally i'm asking i'm starting my day asking for wisdom
with your mouth, with your heart that you need wisdom and you desire wisdom.
You don't wait until the end of the day and say, well, I'd like to have some wisdom.
You've already used up the day.
You went through the day without wisdom.
So start early at the beginning of your day, saying, I have to have wisdom today.
I need it.
and pursue wisdom all day long.
So the fool, the fool just falls into the trap of the immoral person.
The wise person is pursuing wisdom.
Yes.
Notice a difference?
The wise man or woman is pursuing.
like a hound dog on the trail of wisdom but the fool the simpleton he's just walking along
and falls into a trap the trap of temptation to tramp the trap of of of carnal desire
he just falls into it you should not procrastinate this is a warning against procrastination
again it's making wisdom your highest priority every day with all thy getting with all by getting
we are to get wisdom and understanding and this is those who seek her early shall find me
glory amen that's a promise it's an absolute unconditional
certain promise shall not maybe could no shall shall shall means it's going to happen it's a
promise of a guaranteed successful outcome wisdom is saying i give you my word if you get up and
seek me early you shall find me if you love me if you love me
you got to love her and seek her early these are the conditions to find her love her and seek her
early you do those two things the payoff is you find her it's a guarantee this is a guarantee from
god it's emphatic again it's not may find me could find me might find me no it is shall find me
it's very emphatic it it underscores the absolute faithfulness of god to deliver on his promises
you shall find wisdom i mean that's just encouraging to know
that today i can be wiser than i was yesterday yes
tomorrow I'll be wiser than I am today
why because I am going to spend today seeking wisdom
so to me this is profound encouragement
it is an unshakable unbreakable guarantee
that brings hope to me and to you
that if we are willing to wholeheartedly seek wisdom and to love wisdom we have a promise from God we shall receive wisdom not only receive it but wisdom will love you amen he loves those who love her again you think about this it's not just that if you love wisdom and you seek her early and you find her
wisdom's going to give you she's going to share her wisdom now it goes beyond that she loves you
now becomes personal intimate an emotional relationship now with wisdom you
you fall in love with wisdom and wisdom falls in love with you so the finding of wisdom
is the
it's the discovery of truth
it's the discovery of knowledge
is the discovery of God's understanding
of life
and that brings joy
that brings happiness in your life
so we're told here that wisdom
which is again this is a personification
of Jesus Christ
does not hide
from those who sincerely seek wisdom.
But wisdom is universally available
to all who earnestly love wisdom
and diligently seek wisdom.
It's a beautiful promise.
And then verse 18.
Riches and honor are with me.
durable riches and righteousness I like that durable riches sound yeah durable
means it lasts a long time this speaks with absolute authority total absolute
authority riches and honor are with me
meaning wisdom she's loaded let's just say it she's loaded she's got jewels she's
got precious metals she's got cash she's got land she's got witty inventions
the gal is loaded now do you want to love her
see you start to realize this one
she's saying come and love me if you love me i'll love you and by the way
riches and honor are here with me you meet wisdom and wisdom says i'd like to introduce you to
two of my friends this is richest and this is honor they go with me everywhere i go now i know some
people will spiritualize this and go well these are talking about heavenly yes of course it includes
heavenly riches the greatest riches are heavenly i get that i know that but don't spiritualize it to the
point that you eliminate the earthly riches right so many of the people who who get
worked up and angry over somebody's teaching that God desires to to financially bless people they get all worked up about it and yet those same people claim to be um to believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible yes they're absolutists well then absolutely except what it says that's the way I'm looking at it
It says, rich is an honor.
I'll take it.
I'll accept it.
By faith, I will accept it by faith.
Material wealth, material prosperity, material blessings on this earth and this life.
Yes, that's what it promises.
You say, well, I don't have that right now.
well you need to fall in love with wisdom okay that's all i can say this is a promise i'm not going to
change the word of god because your life doesn't reflect the truth of god's word we have to
each of us get our life in alignment with the word yes and when we're lined up with the word
the things that the word promises come into into reality
god desires you to have a rich abundant life when i say rich look i'm not talking about you
driving rolls royce and living in a 64 bedroom man that's not what we're talking about
we're talking about you having a comfortable life having more than enough to meet all your needs and having an abundance that you can give away and help others that you have funds to finance the preaching of the gospel this is this is what the lord is promising you know the lord has he has a church on earth a world this is worldwide church made up of hundreds and thousands of of of
of local congregations.
But it's, you know, one over a billion people.
That's the church.
He has a plan for his gospel, the gospel of the kingdom,
to be proclaimed worldwide.
When the gospel is proclaimed throughout the world,
the end shall come.
Our God is smart enough to know
that it in the physical material world of mankind there is a material requirement a cost monetary cost to fulfill his
commandment to spread the gospel in all the world he knows that yes that's not something he's never heard about
he doesn't give you a commandment and say i don't know how you're going to pay for it yeah you figure it out
right i'm i'm commanding you but hey you figure out how to do it
jesus said a king doesn't send his army out to war without making provision
What I'm saying here is God gave the church a commandment,
take the gospel into all the world.
He knows it will cost a lot of money.
He has a system, he has a plan to finance it.
He blesses his people.
The people who love him, who love wisdom,
who love righteousness, who love the gospel,
He blesses them because they pour their abundance into the gospel.
And then he just blesses them again.
And they pour more money into the gospel.
And he blesses them again.
Yes.
If you need finances,
you need to give more for the preaching of the gospel.
That's what you need to do.
There needs to be more giving with faith.
And God will release blessing into your life.
Doc, I think about absolutely one of my favorite Psalms is Psalm 112.
Let me just read the first three verses of it.
Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord.
that delighteth greatly in his commandments his seed shall be mighty upon the earth the generation
of the upright shall be blessed wealth and riches shall be in his house and his righteousness
endureth forever what's in his house wealth and blessings wealth and riches shall be in
his house whose house the man that feareth the lord that delighteth greatly in his commandments
yes do you believe or not his siege shall be mighty upon the earth what's his children his
grandchildren his great-grandchildren his entire generation his the generation of the
the upright shall be blessed wealth and riches shall be in his house see this lines up now with
proverbs eight wisdom says rich is an honor with me who do you think's fulfilling this promise in
Psalm 112. Wisdom.
What's honor?
It's social esteem.
It's respect.
Wisdom does not promise only spiritual blessings.
Wisdom promises financial success.
and good standing in the world.
These are promises from God.
Yay, durable riches.
Yay, yes.
Durable riches.
The quality of the richest wisdom
provides are durable.
They are long-lasting.
they are secure they can withstand the trials and tribulations of this life they will last
job was a blessed man and he went through horrific tribulation but how did he come out doubly blessed
yes satan took away his blessings and when the
trial was over, God said, not only am I going to give it back, I'm going to double it.
So Job didn't die in bankruptcy.
Did he have scars? Yes. Yes.
That trial that he went through, it changed him. You can't go through something like that and not be emotionally affected.
but God not only restored but doubled
what he lost during the trial
his riches were durable
they survived the trial
they survived the tribulation
but the wicked
they have ill-gotten gains
they they achieve success
through corruption
and they spend their lifetime trying to prevent another crooked person from stealing what they stole
and so they stay awake at night tossing and turning thinking about how who in their world
is trying to steal from them is it their business partner is it their spouse who is it
their friend who's going to take their empire from them why because they wisdom didn't give them
their wealth but when wisdom gives you your wealth it endures it remains wisdom's riches are
is a treasure that endures it goes through time it actually it actually it actually
Actually, it lasts beyond a lifetime.
A wise man.
A wise man leaves an inheritance to what?
His children and his children's children.
I don't have a lot to leave my family.
I'm not super rich.
I used to think about it.
I've got a, you know, years ago, Doc, I used to fret and worry about it.
I've got to be successful so that I want to bless my, not only my children and my grandchildren,
but my great-grandchildren and my great-great-grandchildren.
And then one day, the Lord said, I didn't tell you to do that.
I didn't, I didn't tell you that you need to give to the third and fourth generation.
you give to your children and your grandchildren.
That's as far as it needs to go.
And then guess what?
Your children will then go two levels down.
Right.
And then their children will go two levels down.
I've heard very wealthy people say
that they are aware that the inheritance that they leave behind
will be lost by the third generation.
I've heard people say that, that they are aware
that their children will use the money wisely,
their grandchildren will use it less wisely,
and by the time they get to the great-grandchildren,
it will be squandered.
that's why God says just give to your children and your grandchildren
because the next level down will squander it you're too far removed
so you've got the difference between temporary riches and durable riches
and wisdom is saying what I give you is durable you're not going to go broke in your old age
you're not going to run out of funds in your old age you're not going to be sick
and in a nursing home and unable to take care of yourself wisdom says I'll give you
durable riches and righteousness yes now
here's the spiritual side and righteousness this isn't all oriented towards material blessings
is material blessings and heavenly blessings and righteousness
is a is a major component of this verse and it's it's directly linking
riches with uprightness, saying you've got to have a life that's in alignment with God's will.
You've got to have both of them going together at the same time.
Then we get to verse 19, my fruit is better than gold, yay, than fine gold, and my revenue than choice silver.
my yield my return on investment is better than silver choice silver my fruit that's a metaphor okay
it's giving you an idea of a tangible beneficial life-giving blessing that's produced in the
lives of those who pursue wisdom there's fruit by the way doc i was looking at my banana tree one of
my banana trees your ice cream bananas my ice cream banana trees i've got one tree that has just grown
so tall so big and uh i would just estimate on one bunch just one bunch of bananas
there had to have been over a hundred bananas on it really wow yeah and it's up high and i if i
find a way to cut it down when it drops it's probably going to knock me out there's so many bananas
what it is it's a see this fruit abundant fruit wisdom says i provide fruit my fruit my fruit is
is better than gold. It's better than fine gold. It's better than the choice of silver.
This is the fruit. Imagine picking golden fruit. It means a metaphor. But imagine a tree that has
gold and silver on it. You're growing an orchard of gold fruit.
she's saying my fruit that i give you is better than gold the best gold you can get it's better than
the best silver you can get and what is that fruit it's peace it's joy it's good health
it's prosperity it's eternal life it's it's the presence of the holy spirit in your life
it's love and faith and patience it's all the good things that god promises us that that's the fruit
it's the fruit and wisdom says my fruit is better better than the best gold see she's already
promised durable riches but now she's saying i'm going to give you something better than the
durable riches it's better than gold it's better than silver it's not an if or you know you got to
choose or do i choose material blessing or do i choose spiritual blessing that's the way a lot of
religious people teach right you got to choose which one you want that's not what this says
you get both but the spiritual blessing is better than the financial blessing
amen that's what you got to get in your mind that the the richest the greatest riches are not
is not the the material things that wisdom gives you the home the property the uh whatever your
business whatever yes those are blessings those are riches
But wisdom says, but I've got something better.
Let's open up door number two.
And look what's in there.
It's better.
You think this is good?
Wait until you see what's behind this door.
Spiritual riches.
Better than refined pure gold.
Which is, that's the pinnacle of worldly wisdom.
i mean a worldly wealth today central banks and and international banks and hedge funds and
investment houses and billionaires they're searching for the choices gold yes purest gold
they want the purest gold that they can find and wisdom says let them have it i got something
even better wisdom will give you the gold they will give you the gold they will
Wisdom will provide material things to you.
But the absolute most important thing to know
is that the material things that wisdom provides
is not the highest.
It's good.
It's wonderful.
It's enjoyable.
But there's something better.
There's something higher.
and you do not have to choose one or the other that's a religious doctrine that is not biblical yes i'm sorry
they're just religious people that explain away their non-productivity in life by saying well i chose a path
to to go after the true riches of life well if you did you'd be blessed
excuse me the word says if you pursue the true riches of life you'll be blessed
so what your this jiving that you're giving me it doesn't line up with the word of god
right something something submiss because the two go together pursue the riches of heaven
and the riches of heaven will pursue you amen
the message throughout the bible is don't pursue the world's riches pursue god and let god
bring the riches to you but don't reject the riches either right but religion says
that's the mindset really yeah doc and i grew up and you know when i say i grew up as a young
Christian. As a young Christian, I attended churches that said, you can't have any signs of
prosperity in your life. That doesn't go with pursuing God. It's like a shaming, a guilt on being
prosperous, on being successful. Well, there must be something wrong in your life for you to be
this successful but that was the shaming that came through those churches right they didn't they
didn't say it that way but it was implied and really the truth is i was attending churches with a
lot of people who just didn't do anything with their lives and then they wanted to
spiritualize it they spiritualized their non-productivity
and they tried to glorify their poverty.
It contradicts the word of God.
So better than gold, better than the best gold,
and better than the revenue,
and her revenue, excuse me,
her revenue is better than choice silver her income her yield her return on investment
right for ROI she's saying my ROI is better than choice silver
I'll I'll put a column on your spreadsheet that you can't imagine
the pursuit of wisdom is not a loss it's a gain it is a gain spiritually and it is a gain financially
it's just that simple and don't listen to anybody who tells you that this does not apply to
material financial success it does yes
Let me get to verse 20.
I lead in the way of righteousness
in the midst of the paths of judgment.
She actively leads us on an upright path.
A path that's going to lead us to God.
I lead in the way of righteousness.
she's ahead come follow me if you follow if you're pursuing me wisdom then you're going to walk
on the path i'm on she's up ahead come on folks follow me i'm taking you on the way of wisdom
on the way of righteousness this is the path i follow amen so you don't even have to figure it out
follow wisdom you know like you see tour groups in a city or a major event or a convention and the tour
guy's got a big flag with the name of the tour on it and all you got to do is look for that flag
that's right yeah okay that's my group you get separated i got to find that guy with a flag
that's wisdom
marching with the flag
says wisdom
oh you got to see you don't have to figure out the path
you just got to keep your eyes on her flag
because she's not going to go on any other path
except the path of righteousness
and if you get off that path
it's because you took your eyes off the flag
but you can get back on the path
just because you get off of it doesn't mean
the road is closed to you the rest of your life okay you got lost get back on the road
that's right into discussion move on you know wisdom where were you uh don't ask
i'm back okay let's go we've got more places to go wisdom's leading
so the way of righteousness is the lifestyle of the of the wise the way of righteousness it is the
lifestyle of wise people we should simply live differently than the world there ought to be a
clear unmistakable difference in our lifestyles
yes so wisdom leads and we follow her we're behind her we're not up ahead we don't know the way
she knows the way she leads we follow we don't deviate from the path we stay on the path
she would never take us on the wrong path
never
this is what's so
reassuring
when you pursue wisdom
when you're following wisdom
she will never take you on the wrong path
that's right
she's in the midst of the paths of judgment
so now
wisdom's presence is at the very center
of moral, legal, ethical decision-making.
She's saying, I'm there
every time you've got to make a decision.
I'm in the midst of.
I'm in the midst of the paths of judgment.
Judgment here is not referring to punitive action.
I got a judge judging somebody that's not what this means
it it is talking about the various ways the circumstances
the situations in which each of us must make a a decision right discernment
every time we have to make a decision do I align myself
with this person do i go in this direction do i take this job do i marry this person do i make this
investment every time we have to make a decision and look we make decisions all day long she's in the
midst of it she's there in the middle of it for what purpose to guide you to make the right decision
she's there i'm here to help you she doesn't she doesn't lurk over there in the dark corners
peering and peeking around to see how you're doing she's in the very center of your life
she's right there with you when you have to make a decision every time you make a decision just think wisdom
What would you recommend?
What choice should I make?
Which way should I go?
She's always there.
You don't have to call her.
She's there.
She says, I'm in the midst of it.
She's in the midst of those who love her, who pursue her.
And if you don't love her and you don't pursue her, she's not there.
Why would she be there?
what purpose it'd be like a waste of time right i'm going to go there i'm going to hang out there today
with this guy or this woman who doesn't love me and doesn't pursue me no why would you do that
you wouldn't but you're there you're there for the people who love you and pursue you and
that's the warm reassuring promise from god relax be at peace
see don't second guess your decisions a lot of us we put ourselves through unnecessary agony by second
guessing our decisions meaning you make a decision and an hour later or a day later you're
wondering did i make the right decision maybe i should have done this and you start going through
all these scenarios and you're you're tormenting yourself because you're already made a decision
that was already made you've already made the decision live with it if you if wisdom is there in the
midst of that decision making then you made the right decision so you love wisdom you pursue wisdom
she's there with you when you make decisions and you
rest that she gave you the the advice you needed right so it brings peace to you it brings
comfort it brings assurance hey wisdom was there i made the right decision i'm not going to fret
about this i'm not going to lay away lay awake at night wondering did i do the right thing
i think doc there's probably a lot of widows
they lose their husband.
Their husband was the strength of their life,
making decisions and so forth.
And then the husband passes away.
And now the widow has to make all these decisions.
And I have a feeling a lot of widows worry about it, fred about it.
And what this verse is, is comfort to you.
They say, you're not alone.
You're not making a decision by yourself.
yourself wisdom is there wisdom is there with you to to make that right decision and you can
rest you can know that you you chose the right thing you made the right decision
verse 21 that I may cause those that love me to inherent inherent substance and I will fill
their treasuries. We'll try to spiritualize this one. Substance. I mean, you're pretty clear,
isn't it? What is the substance, Doc? Something you can hold on to, something you can grab,
something you can put in a box or wrap a bow around or drive or use or build. Substance.
It's got matter. Yeah, it's not some, you know, spooky thing in the mist. It's something
real and if you have a treasury she will fill it so that that i may cause wisdom says if you do these things
then this will cause me to do this it will cause me to do it i don't wisdom saying i don't have
any choice in the matter this is one thing i don't have a choice because i've been programmed
wisdom saying i've been programmed by the heavenly father that if these things are done
meaning you love her you pursue her all the things that you rise up early
if you do all these things wisdom says i've been programmed that i have to
automatically cause those people to inherit
substance and I am I've been programmed to fill their treasuries I don't have a choice in
a matter I have to do it that I may cause it it is a clear promise there is a positive outcome
when we seek wisdom early and love her the blessing is to those who
who love me.
We're back to where we started.
Those who love me.
She has a personal reward.
And that reward is you will inherit substance.
Substance is material wealth.
This isn't, you can't spiritualize this and say,
I'm gaining a mansion in glory.
That's already been promised.
you need this wealth on this life in this world
so she promises that you will inherit
and that she will
by the way
doc we go back to the life of folly
what do you inherit
proverbs 626 a piece of bread
yes a piece of bread is what folly
folly promises hey i'll give you a
a piece of bread
and wisdom says that's it oh i can now do that
i'll fill your treasury
i'll give you an inheritance
i'll bless your socks off
hallelujah
Folly promises a piece of bread
hey I'll give you the bread factory
I'll give you the bakery
and I will fill their treasuries
first of all you got to have a treasury
wisdom can't fill your treasury
if you don't have a treasury
yes
which means if you've got a treasury you have an expectation of something to go in it right that's right so do you have a bank account
you probably have a checking account do you have a savings account a lot of people don't well there's your
treasury do you have an investment fund many people don't do you have a savings do you have a retirement plan
these are your treasuries if you don't open them if you don't create them how can wisdom fill them right
she's not going to go to the broker and open up an account in your name but what she's saying is if you do it
and you have faith and you follow these rules and you love me and you seek me and you get up early
and you pursue me and you go ahead and open up your accounts your treasuries i'll fill your
treasuries you have to take the steps but she promises what what she will do she will fill
your treasuries here treasures here represent storehouses vaults places where wealth is stored
and kept securely do you have a bank safety box do you have a safe in your house
these are all treasures treasuries you mean start with something you say I don't
right now I don't have the money to do open up to go buy a safe okay get something
box and declare it your your treasury to watch god fill it up his promises are true they are
yay and amen it happens so folly temptation leaves you empty bankrupt in ruin wisdom says i'm going to bless
every aspect of your life
you
you won't recognize it
by the time I'm done with you
and
wisdom
desires you to have a blessed
life every
stage of your life
again we shouldn't
reach our
old years
in poverty
and if you're
you're in that, if you're in that state right now, it can change. Yes, it can change. As long as
you're breathing, you're in the game. If you're in the game, God's work, God's word still
performs. Yes.
Yeah, I think of old Colonel Harlan Sanders. He started Kentucky,
fried chicken when he was 65 years old yes operated out of the back of his car he sure did traveling to
places all across kentucky and tennessee sampling out this chicken coating and the process
that's right that's right and and um you know he only owned that company for nine years
that's right think about that he sold it nine years
later and lived out the rest of his life an extremely wealthy man.
God changed his life at age 65.
There is no excuse.
You can't use age and say, I'm too old.
Life has passed me by.
I missed all my opportunities.
No, God will send a new opportunity.
Remember, wisdom is the source of witty inventions.
Yes.
Wisdom gave Harlan Sanders a chicken recipe at age.
age 65 and revolutionized his life.
Okay, we're over the time limit.

in this life we'll make better decisions we'll make better choices we'll have more information
and we'll have longer life.
All these things add up to greater blessings here on Earth.
