TRUNEWS with Rick Wiles - Morning Manna – August 7, 2025 – Proverbs 8:22–26 – Wisdom: The Operating System of the Universe
Episode Date: August 7, 2025In today’s Morning Manna, we dive deep into Proverbs 8:22–26, uncovering the eternal nature of wisdom. Rick Wiles walks us through the breathtaking truth that wisdom is not a human invention or a ...fleeting thought—but the very attribute of God Himself, present before time began. Long before mountains rose or oceans surged, wisdom existed with God as the divine operating system behind all creation, order, and boundaries. We’re invited to seek this ancient, divine force—not just to gain insight, but to align our lives with the perfect order of the universe. The teaching emphasizes that disorder in life often results from rejecting wisdom, and that wisdom not only brings harmony—it defines boundaries and keeps chaos at bay. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Morning Manna. It's Thursday, and I'm here alone.
Doc Burkhart is at home recuperating from an eye operation. He's doing okay. His wife notified us
yesterday that he was in recovery and everything went well. So pray for Doc that any lingering pain
discomfort would dissipate today and he'll be back here tomorrow and i'm sure he will so today we're
we're going to continue our study in proverbs chapter eight and the verses that we're looking at today are
22 through 26 so i'm going to pray invite the holy spirit then i'll read the word of god and i'll begin the
lesson dear father in heaven our precious holy father father we come to you as you're
sons and daughters who desire to be fed your word we've heard your voice say to seek wisdom
and understanding and we're doing it father we are activating your word we are obeying your word
and you've promised father you've promised to give us wisdom liberally
and you've made many promises in your word what you will do
in the lives of the men and women who seek wisdom and understanding.
So we claim all of your promises, Father.
We claim it and we know that you will deliver because you are a just God.
And your word is pure and it is yes and amen.
And you do exactly what you promise.
So, Father, we ask for the Holy Spirit's presence.
I ask for the Holy Spirit's anointing.
to teach the word. I pray for the Holy Spirit's blessing upon the people to receive the word.
All these things I ask in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen. All right, let's look at
Proverbs chapter 8 verses 22 through 26. The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way
before his works of old
I was set up from everlasting
from the beginning
wherever the earth was
when there were no depths
I was brought forth
when there were no fountains abounding with water
before the mountains were settled
before the hills were
was I brought forth
while as yet he had not made the earth nor the fields nor the highest part of the dust of the world
let's begin verse 22 the lord possess me in the beginning of his way
before his works of old so we'll start with the lord possess me
Yahweh possess me.
This first segment of verse 22 marks a significant shift in wisdom's self-proclamation.
She now reveals herself as having a divine relationship in origin,
and she emphasizes her intimate personal association with Almighty God himself.
Wisdom personified says, the Lord possessed me.
That means she had a divine origin.
And she has an intimate, personal, profound,
association with God before the foundation of the world this is really important to understand
this before the foundation of the world the verb possessed carries a lot of theological weight
it's not what we're thinking of you know we think of demon possession that's not what
it means here wisdom wasn't possessed it says the Lord
possessed her he he if you possess something you you own you it's in your possession and so
what the way that most bible commentators and scholars have interpreted is through a a trinitarian lens
seeing wisdom as a divine person
in a unique
eternal relationship
with the father
so wisdom is not an abstract idea
wisdom is not a human philosophy
and wisdom is not a created being
but wisdom is an
attribute an attribute of the godhead this is describing wisdom is not a separate member of the godhead
it's an attribute of the godhead and what we're being told is that wisdom has existed eternally
so her existence with god from the beginning distinguishes wisdom from all creation
and grounds her in the uncreated nature of the divine the wisdom that we are called to pursue has its source and origin not in the world not in the universe
not in human ingenuity but in the eternal being of almighty god that's the message that we are getting here today
this declaration in verse 22 links wisdom directly to the divine nature and it reveals her wisdom
as a core and inseparable attribute of God.
Again, for poetic reasons,
the Holy Spirit describes wisdom as a female,
which represents a loving, nurturing,
mothering attributes of wisdom.
and showing you the side of God, the portion of God that is always, always loving you,
always nurturing you, always desiring to uplift you and encourage you.
Then the second part says, in the beginning of his way.
So the Lord possessed wisdom in the beginning of his way.
so what is this saying it is emphasizing wisdom's profound pre-existence it declares that she wisdom was with god
at the very inception of his creative work creation and that she has an eternal life an eternal purpose
his way. Whose way is it? His way? Again, it's signifying the inception of God's creative work.
The first stirrings of his eternal intention to create and establish the universe. Wisdom is saying,
I was there. I was there when Almighty God decided to create the universe. I was there. I was there. I was there.
when he created it so we're being challenged that are for our human mind to grasp the concept of a
of an eternal pre-existent reality that precedes all things that we know matter of time and space
it says that before a single thing was created
before anything in Genesis was created
wisdom was already present with God
wisdom was an eyewitness to creation
wisdom's existence was not
did not begin at creation
but before it
at the precise moment god's eternal plan and design were being set in motion so this the
these scriptures are highlighting that wisdom was with god from the very beginning and is a
foundational indispensable aspect of his will and his blueprint for the universe
so wisdom is being presented here as the very first principle of god's action the very blueprint for all of his creative work
this is before his works of old and let's uh let's read this again the lord possessed me in the beginning of his way before the works of old
so now this part of verse 22 this culminates
the declaration of wisdom's pre-existence
it asserts her chronological order
and her ultimate distinction
from everything else God created
before the works of old
emphatically states wisdom's chronological priority
that she existed before God made any of his ancient foundational works
again what did what was there before he made anything
anything of our universe our dimension
this universe of matter time and space what was there whatever is there wisdom was there to see it
wisdom can say hey just for the record i was around before this universe existed
so works of old what are the works of old it refers to all of creation everything in genesis
in the creation of the universe, the heavens, the earth, the deep, the waters, everything.
That's the works of old.
So this confirms that wisdom existed and before and exceeded all of creation.
So she is distinct from and superior to everything he has made.
again this uh this is establishing wisdom as the pre-existent attribute of god that was essential for
order for beauty for the function of the entire universe she's not wisdom is not a product of
creation wisdom existed before creation to witness creation so the very wisdom that we're told
in proverbs to seek is a divine eternal pre-existent principle that existed before all things and
is the source of all order in the universe if your life is out of order then wisdom is the
source to bring order into your life.
Wisdom provides order.
Wherever wisdom is welcome, there is order.
And if you're with somebody that refuses to allow wisdom to bring order,
that's a person you don't want in your life.
Because they're in opposite.
to the very foundation of the universe, which is wisdom.
That's why wisdom is the principal thing with all thy getting.
Wisdom's the principal thing, because it's the power of God that establishes order in the universe.
And when your life is out of order, somebody in your life is in opposition to wisdom.
Somebody is refusing to call upon wisdom.
Somebody's refusing to submit to wisdom, and therefore there's disorder.
And you won't have order in your life until you separate yourself from that person.
So this verse declares, it distinguishes wisdom from the created order.
And again, it grounds her in the uncreated eternal nature of God.
So let me repeat this before we move on to the next verse.
Wisdom was present with God before anything was made.
When you read the creation account in Genesis, wisdom existed before creation.
wisdom is the very blueprint for creation order beauty the function of the universe
all of them are founded upon wisdom's eternal principles so wisdom is not a product of
human experience it it is it has its own eternal reality but ultimately this points us to
jesus christ who is the wisdom of god according to first corinthians chapter one verse 24
he is the wisdom of god john told us in the beginning was the word
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God
by Him all things were created
we see that
wisdom
is the spirit of Christ
let's move on to
verse 23
Proverbs 823
this is wisdom speaking i was set up from everlasting from the beginning
forever the earth was so this continues wisdom's declaration of her eternal nature
in fact that this entire group of verses that we're studying today that is the theme
of all the verses that we're studying wisdom is declaring for everybody to
to hear and to understand and to know that she existed before anything else was made.
So she says here, I was set up from everlasting.
She's emphasizing her preordained role and purpose,
which was established from an eternity past.
She says, I was set up.
I was established.
That means there's a purposeful, eternal appointment,
a preordained role, a foundational existence
that was part of God's sovereign plan.
See, she did not set herself up.
She was set up by God from everlasting.
This is a declaration that wisdom's existence is,
eternity past there is no beginning there's there's there's there's with she's
without a beginning or a point of origin in time again she's declaring
she's declaring her eternal nature she's distinguishing her separation from from all
creation she's aligning herself with almighty god she's she's not an afterthought or a consequence of
creation but she she's been an essential part of god's will and design you can't say from the
beginning because god doesn't have a beginning our universe has a beginning and it has an end
God has no beginning and he has no end.
That's how old wisdom is.
You can't count to years because there are no years in God's world.
He doesn't have a clock.
He doesn't have a calendar.
He doesn't keep time.
He made time for us.
But wisdom has been in existence as long as God because wisdom is part of God.
this is telling us what god is saying to us in the proverbs i'm going to share with you
the part of me that runs this universe he named it wisdom and what he's saying here in
proverbs is i'm i'm allowing you you human beings that i made i made your bodies that created your
souls, I'm allowing you to tap in to the part of me that created this universe and keeps it running
in perfection. Perfect order. I'm going to allow you to tap into it to bring order into your life.
It's a wise thing to do to seek wisdom. It's a smart thing to do to seek wisdom. It's a beneficial
thing to do to seek wisdom because there will be payoff. There will be benefits to you.
there will be order in your life
and wherever wisdom is found
excuse me there are blessings
let me get a drink here
excuse me
I don't have doc to pick up
the slack here
while I take a drink of water
So, wisdom is being presented here as ancient, as enduring, as as ancient as God himself.
And the word, excuse me, from everlasting is the ultimate guarantee of her stability,
her truthfulness, her authority.
she's from everlasting so when we're told to seek wisdom we're not seeking the best of human
philosophy but we we are seeking the eternal unchangeable principles of god that have always been
and always will be wisdom god's saying to you and me i'm going to i'm going to share with you the way i'm
I think, I'm going to allow you to tap into part of my brain, part of my mind.
I'm going to allow you to tap into it.
It's wisdom.
And I'll let you access it.
I mean, we start thinking about that.
Why would we not seek wisdom?
He's allowing us to access part of his mind.
The part that we need, the wisdom that we need for an orderly, prosperous, peaceful, healthy life in this world.
This is then from the beginning or ever the earth was.
So let's go back here.
I was, verse 23, I was set up from everlasting from the beginning or ever the earth was.
so now this one this segment uses two parallel phrases to reinforce wisdom wisdom's pre-existence
it's establishing her chronological priority here which was before the creation of the
world so from the beginning that emphasizes wisdom's
pre-existence it links us it links wisdom to the very start of time but wisdom existed before time
began again time was made for us god doesn't need time people need time it's a way for us to measure
the length of our our life on earth and it says uh or
ever the earth was so this is a very emphatic clarification this is wisdom again saying and
just to make it very clear to you i existed before the earth ever was and you so you have this
repetition the two things from the beginning ever the earth was
she's saying the same thing she's repeating i existed from the beginning i existed ever the earth was
she's emphasizing her pre-existence and that she existed before the universe before the planet was made
before we were made what we're being told here is wisdom's foundational role
as the blueprint,
God's blueprint for creation.
Wisdom is the blueprint for successful living.
Wisdom is the blueprint for governing the physical universe.
If wisdom were reduced to a book,
God would point to that book,
and say this book is this is the manual i use to operate the universe now wisdom is not in a book i'm
just saying for us mentally as humans to get a concept of it if you could imagine jesus turning
to a bookshelf and saying if you ask uh jesus how how do you keep this all operating
how do you keep the planets in order the start how do you do this lord and he turns to a book
shelf and he says oh right here see this book this is my this is my universe operation manual
it's called wisdom that's the simplest way i can develop an analogy for you to you know for us as
humans to con to conceive what wisdom is to god wisdom is his universe operation manual
it is a it is a manual that tells you how he keeps this universe together how he operates it and it keeps it in order
and what he's saying is you can tap into it and your universe around your life can have order
and peace and prosperity and good health so the laws of nature the order of the cosmos
the principles of righteous living on earth all stem from this same eternal wisdom
um i hope you're grasping this that the principles that god uses to operate his universe is what
he's sharing with us he's saying there it is i'm going to let you in on
on my secret plan
here's how I operate the universe
it's called wisdom and I'll let you
access wisdom
and you can use
wisdom in your daily living and
it will bring peace and
prosperity to you good health happiness
order
so
wisdom was
present with God
before the
physical creation
of the earth
before the physical creation of the stars
and the entire universe
wisdom is the blueprint
the governing
essence the governing principles
for all things
order beauty
function
all are founded
on the principles
and these are eternal principles
all of them are founded on the eternal
principles of wisdom
and so when you think about it and meditate on this it has profound implications for us
the wisdom that we are challenged to pursue is not a human philosophy it is God's philosophy
it's the way he runs the universe so it's the path of
wisdom. It is not a human path. It is the path that aligns our lives with the very
eternal nature and creative design of God. That's why wisdom works. That's why it's so
powerful. It brings you into alignment with God's thinking. Oh, how can I state this
more clearly and i'm i'm grasping this as i as i talk at wisdom is the very
philosophy of god how he operates the universe and this is why he puts such a high priority on it
it's the principal thing with all thy getting get it get wisdom it's more valuable than the choices
gold and the choice of silver.
It's the most valuable thing
you'll ever acquire in your life.
Why?
It is the way God thinks
in the order of the universe.
He's letting us see
part of his mind.
He's letting us see
the system
that he set up,
the operational manual
of the universe.
And he says,
get your life in alignment
with this power wisdom and just watch what happens in your life in verse 24 she continues this this
proclamation i'm older than you think i've been around a long time she says when there were no depths
i was brought forth when there were no fountains abounding with water i was brought forth i was brought forth
all right so this is a this is language that we understand um it's like brought forth like born like when i was
born okay she's she's describing wisdom herself her eternal origin with god she was not created
She pre-existed before God made anything.
That's the message here.
She was present when creation was made,
when there were no depths.
The depths are referring to oceans,
the seas, the subterranean waters
beneath the surface of the earth.
She said, I was there before any of that stuff
existed? Again, she's asserting her chronological order. She's letting us know, I was around before any of this
stuff existed. I know what I'm talking about. I know what I can do for your life. I've been around.
I've been here for a long, long time. And so,
But the depths symbolizes the immense, powerful forces of nature.
And which before their creation were to be ordered and contained with wisdom's counsel.
Again, she's saying, you know all these rivers flowing beneath the surface of the earth?
I did it.
I'm the one that's keeping it going.
God created it, but I keep it operating.
The oceans?
God created them, but do you know who keeps it in order?
Do you know who keeps the ocean waves from expanding and coming up on the ground and swallowing up nation?
That's me.
That's what I do.
I establish order.
Wisdom, you know, oh, wow, I just thought of something.
Wisdom establishes boundaries.
you need to ponder that one okay we all have people in our lives who do not respect our boundaries
a person who crosses boundaries and invades somebody else's space and is aggressive and
and demanding, coming into your space.
They don't respect boundaries.
Therefore, they don't respect wisdom
because wisdom is the source of natural boundaries.
Wisdom is what holds things in place in the universe.
It's why Mars doesn't bump into Venus,
and Venus doesn't bump into Earth.
wisdom says stay in your track in your space you've got boundaries see wisdom is a source of
boundaries without boundaries there's disorder there's chaos and when you have people in your
life who do not respect boundaries there's going to be disorder the fact that they don't respect
boundaries means they don't respect wisdom they don't seek wisdom it actually means the
opposite, they're fools. Fools don't respect boundaries because boundaries are established by God,
by wisdom. Why? To have order in the universe. Without boundaries, there's disorder. There's chaos.
I hope many of you ponder on that concept today. But you're dealing with personal issues in your life could be a
in your family, could be at work, could be a church.
There are people who are coming into your space.
Aggressively, deceptively, whatever method they're using.
Some are aggressive.
Some are deceptive.
Some sneak over your boundary line, some charge over your boundary line.
You just got to discern what method they're using.
But the fact that they're coming over your boundary line says you have got to put
stop to it yes put a stop to them crossing your boundary you don't yell you don't threaten you just say
excuse me this is my space you're not you're not allowed to come in here i'm me and you are you
and you can't come over here and be me and you can't tell me who i will be and you can't tell me what i like
and what I desire to do
and what I believe.
You can't do it.
You cross the boundaries.
You're violating the order of the universe.
Wisdom establishes boundaries.
That's going to help somebody today.
Somebody today, a boundary crosser
is going to get met with
resistance today somewhere in the world so her presence wisdom's presence before the depths
before the creation of the waters below the surface the great oceans the great lakes
all of these rivers and so forth that affirms god's creative power in all of its might
and it's telling us that it was exercised in perfect harmony with wisdom again these scriptures
all of them today that we're reading 22 through 26 every one of these scriptures today is
reinforcing the biblical truth that creation itself in its order and its might is an expression of
God's wisdom so I'm going to go back to what I was just saying about boundaries if you've got
somebody a boundary violator seek wisdom today before you do anything seek wisdom God
I'm I'm regularly confronted by a boundary violator who brings disorder into my life
I need wisdom on how to deal with that person
because I now know
that what they're doing
is contrary to wisdom
because wisdom establishes boundaries
therefore I know
it is your will
that I defend my boundary
and they stay in their
on the other side
of their boundary
so I need wisdom
because wisdom and I are lined up I'm seeking to be in total complete alignment with wisdom
and wisdom establishes boundaries therefore I know I'm in the right to affirm my boundary
and to repel all boundary violators God will give you wisdom he'll give you the words to say
he'll tell you how to deal with these people then segment two is when there were no fountains abounding with water
so continuing with this theme about the waters that the depths okay um she's referring to the time
when there there was no water on the earth no springs no rivers no wells
nothing no water on the earth she said i was there so she's she's declaring her her
existence before the elements of the universe were made again wisdom is what holds this
all together wisdom is the the power of god that maintains the order of the universe
and anything that's in disorder lacks wisdom and anything that refuses to be in order resist wisdom
it's one thing to lack you can lack out of ignorance but to resist oh that makes you an enemy now
an enemy of god because you've crossed the line you've crossed the boundary you've gone over into rebellion
into stubbornness.
I mean, God understands
when we're ignorant of things
and we have disorder,
and say, hey, do this and it'll straighten out.
But when there's somebody that just
stubbornly, deliberately
violates order,
God's order in the universe,
then that person becomes an enemy of God.
And it's a dangerous place to be.
Because in their pride,
they think nothing will happen to them.
they can just continue to be this way and nothing will happen to them so this verse highlights wisdom's presence before the natural world could even sustain life no water no life so again wisdom said i was there before the water was made so what it tells me is that wisdom is saying
Here's the facts.
All the good things that we enjoy in creation
are not by random chance,
but of an eternal, deliberate, wise design.
And we move on to verse 25.
Before the mountains were settled,
before the hills was I,
brought forth the theme continues she's establishing the fact hey everything you see out here
i existed before it ever ever appeared she was with god before the creation of the universe
she was with god before the creation of the ancient features of the earth
she saw it all happen and she played an integral role in in creation again her role is order
boundaries order so before the mountains were settled or before the mountains were formed before they were formed
She's talking about a time before really the mountains are the largest structures on the planet and mountains.
There's nothing on the planet bigger than a mountain.
And so wisdom is telling us I was there.
Long before these mountains were made, long before the rocky mountains.
long before the andes before the alps i i was there before the ural mountains i before mount everest was
ever thought about by god i was there you see these mountains you see how big and majestic they are
and wisdom is saying yeah they are but i was there before so she's bigger she's more majestic than
the greatest mountains that we have um the message here is everything was created in perfect harmony and
order with wisdom's counsel that's the message harmony and order god establishes harmony and order
in heaven there is harmony and there is order there is no disorder in heaven
There's no conflict in heaven.
These people who go through life causing conflict everywhere they go.
There's conflict.
They're just like a bubbling cauldron of disagreement.
And, you know, they're just upset with life.
Everywhere they go, there's dissension, there's trouble, there's argument, there's
strife there's depressed it says oh my you go to heaven how is that person going to get in how is that
person going to fit in with the mindset and the mouth that they have how are they going to fit in
in the kingdom of god where there is no disorder there is no dissent and argument how will they
fit in and the arrogance the pride in these people to think well i am what i am and god
loves me and i'm going to be allowed look that's really arrogant yes he does love you but
you're not going to bring your dysfunction into his home oh think about that these people bring
dysfunction into other people's homes and businesses and churches. Everywhere they go, there's
dysfunction. And you think God's going to let you bring it into his home? Fat chance ain't
going to happen. They're going to meet you at the door. Excuse me. You and your mouth can stay
outside. You and your ugly heart can go someplace else because he's not going to allow it to happen.
he's going to protect the harmony and the order of his home.
God is not going to go live in the corner of an attic to get away from you.
I mean, think of God, I think of Ricky Ricardo and I love Lucy.
You know, God going, aye, yeah, yeah, yeah, got to just go to the attic to get away from this person.
This person gripes and complain.
God's not going to let that person near him.
If these people in your life, they can't get their mouths together, can't get their minds there, can't get their thinking straight, who just spew venom, every place they go, they're not going to be allowed into the kingdom of God.
They are contrary to wisdom.
They're contrary to order and harmony and peace.
Wherever there's wisdom, there's peace and harmony and order.
So when you're around people that are the opposite, you know they're not in the kingdom.
Before the hills was I brought forth.
She starts out, hey, the mountains, the biggest mountains.
I was there before those mountains were made.
And these little hills, yeah, I was there before them too.
hills are just small mountains and she's driving the message home that she existed before
anything was made in the universe that nothing was made without her knowledge without her
principles what role does she play order that's her role in the universe order
Harmony, peace.
Where is there a lack of order, a lack of harmony, a lack of peace on planet Earth among the billions of humans that are not in submission to God and not in submission to his order, his harmony, his peace?
he's telling you and me this is the way i keep it running come on in and use it i'll share it with
you i here's the operational manual here's the system here's the the operating system i mean you
think in software terms wisdom is the operating system for the universe and god says i'll let you
download it you can use it it's open source i'll share it with you and if you use it it'll bring
peace and harmony and order into your life into your world and so again this verse is just
it's just emphasizing that even the smallest parts of the earth's topography the hills the small
the small hills she's there i was there i saw god make it there's not one part of the earth that i
didn't see god make and he gave me the assignment keep this in order
your your assignment this is god speaking to wisdom your assignment is i'm going to make it
and you keep it in order are you certainly understand now what wisdom is to us
God says, I made it, I created it.
But it has to stay in operational order.
And now I've delegated to wisdom.
Your responsibility is to keep my universe in operational order.
Wisdom is God's operating system.
And he lets us download it for ourselves and says,
apply it to your own life.
And watch what happens.
I hope you're getting excited.
I hope you're saying, I can't wait for today.
I got to put some wisdom into practice.
So not one, even the smallest thing in creation,
not one thing escaped wisdom's attention.
She saw God create every single thing,
the smallest insect, everything.
there's nothing that existed before her verse 26 wow as yet he hath not made the earth nor the fields
nor the highest part of the dust of the world a world english bible says wow as yet he had not made the earth
nor the fields nor the beginning of the dust of the world so now she she's gone from
mountains to hills she takes it to another level the dust she goes yeah see the dust i was around when
that was made too i'm in i'm in charge of keeping the dust in order not one small thing nothing
from the biggest the highest things of the earth to the smallest pieces of dust the little grains
of dust and sand she says i was there
I saw it made.
I'm supervising this planet.
Think, yeah, there's a way.
Think of wisdom as the supervisor of the universe.
She's the supervisor.
She's keeping everything running on time.
She's got her eyes on every planet, every star,
every meteor, every asteroid, everything out there.
She's got her eye on all of it.
She's keeping it all humming along smoothly for God.
She's the operating system.
She doesn't have any glitches.
She doesn't go down like Microsoft or Google.
There's no downtime.
She's always operational, always performing her duty.
And she's been doing it before the world was made.
But since creation, that's her job to keep always.
order in the universe and so she says nor while as yet he had not made the earth so that's obvious
she existed before god made the planet nor the fields there were no pastures no areas to farm or for
livestock to graze and then she takes it down to the dust of
the world. She says, I was there before the father made the dust, the smallest, most
minute, basic component of creation. There's nothing smaller than dust. She's showing us,
here's the smallest matter, these little specks of dust. And yet I was there. I saw it. I
supervise it I'm in charge of this dust I keep this world running the message is the same
throughout these verses that wisdom was there not from just from the beginning she was there
before the beginning
so
I'm thinking about an old joke
dust
okay
so
little boy comes home from Sunday school
and he says
and the father says
what did you learn in Sunday school today
he said
we learned that
we people we
came from we came from the dust of the earth and when we when we die we go back to the dust
his father says that's good that's true and the little boy said is that true and he goes yes yes
that's true and then the little boy said well dad you better go lift a sofa because there's
somebody under the sofa and I don't know if he's coming or going all right so all right
that's it for the humor today um doc will be back tomorrow he'll say
we'll tell you jokes he'll sing songs to you tomorrow we miss you doc we hope you're back
with us tomorrow thank you everybody I hope this lesson was good I hope you got some
practical things out of it did did my comments about boundaries did that hit home with
anybody I just felt the Holy Spirit saying that there were people in this class today
that needed to hear
that message about boundaries
that you do not have to tolerate
boundary violators
you have a right to be you
God created you
he created the other person
the boundary violator
but he created you
and you have dignity
and you have respect and you have your own views
and you have your own ideas
and your own feelings
and nobody has a right to trample on you.
Nobody has a right to impose their views, their opinions, their demands.
They don't have the right to impose it on you, whether that's a domineering mother
or a closed-minded father or, you know, a complaining wife or an abusive husband or
or somebody at work or at church or your friend,
they don't have the right to violate your boundaries
and tell you they will define you.
That's what it's all about.
They're saying, I am greater than you and I will define you.
I've crossed over your boundary and I'm going to tell you how you should think and behave.
They don't have the right to do.
that no matter who they are see they're out of order wisdom establishes boundaries wisdom has the
boundaries of the not only of the planets but there are multiple solar systems i don't even know
how many solar systems are in the universe wisdom keeps them all from colliding why don't why don't
solar systems just drift and bump into each other why do the planets stay in their orbit after thousands and
thousands of years why do the planets rotate in perfect order why do they evolve around the sun
revolve around the sun why perfect order who does it wisdom wisdom brings order wisdom establishes
boundaries. And when you have somebody in your life who doesn't respect your boundary, they also
don't respect wisdom. Because wisdom always establishes boundaries. Okay. I'm seeing the comments.
I've seen people saying they've got people in their family crossing boundaries. Ask wisdom today. Ask the
Lord for the wisdom to deal with the boundary crossers in your life without getting angry
without saying any hurtful words how to just put up a wall that says this is my boundary
you're not allowed to cross over we can have a relationship but you've got to stay on your
side it's like two neighbors okay do you in your neighborhood you have a deed that says
here are the boundaries of my property and your neighbor has a deed that says here are the boundaries of his or her property he is not allowed to come across the line and tell you what to do on your property and you're not allowed to go across his line and order him what to do there are boundaries and god establishes boundaries in the universe and he establishes boundaries in our personal lives
But because the human race is in disorder, without wisdom, broken away from God.
Because of that, there are billions of people who do not respect order and wisdom.
And we have to deal with it.
You're right, Brian, good fences, make good neighbors.
Why do we put up fences?
Somebody had to put up the first fence to tell somebody else this is the line and you don't cross it.
Do you understand?
That's where the first fence came from.
Somebody who built the very first fence said,
I've had enough of this person crossing my line.
So fences are necessary to tell somebody else,
here's my boundary and you're not allowed to cross over.
All right.
I hope you, uh, dogs don't understand.
understand boundaries. That's true. But people do. And they have to be reminded of boundaries.
God bless you all. Thank you for being here. I'll dismiss the class. Thank you so much.
Doc and I will be back here tomorrow. Morning. Tomorrow is Friday. So we have Faith Friday and
Holy Communion tomorrow. God bless. See you.
