TRUNEWS with Rick Wiles - Morning Manna - Dec 12, 2025 - Deuteronomy 8:18 - The God Who Gives Power to Get Wealth
Episode Date: December 12, 2025Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds God’s people that prosperity is never self-made. “It is He who gives you power to get wealth,” Moses declares, grounding Israel’s success not in human strength but in ...God’s covenant faithfulness. The warning is clear: when blessings increase, pride is near; when pride rises, forgetfulness follows. In this Faith Friday edition of Morning Manna, Rick Wiles and Doc Burkhart explore how God empowers His people, why He ties provision to covenant purpose, and how remembering the Lord safeguards the heart from arrogance. This passage calls believers to gratitude, humility, and a right understanding of the Source behind every good gift. Good morning, everybody. Welcome. It's Faith Friday. And we are delighted to have you here with us today.
Next week will be our last Faith Friday for the year, all right, just for 2025. December 19 will be our last lesson for this year.
Then we're going to take a two-week break for the holidays. Doc and I have a lot of things to do to catch our breath.
we're not going to be resting. We're going to be working. And then on January 5th, we come back and we will pick up in the book of Proverbs. I think it will be in Chapter 19. But then one month after that, we're going to start on television in North America, Great Britain, and Europe, and Africa. Plus, at the end of this month, at the end of December, we're going to roll out our new platform, Manit Nation.
Yes. So faith and values is going to transition into manna nation. We felt the Lord telling us to focus on manna as our theme, to feed the sheep. And we're also building a platform to feed the children. The Lord gave me that instruction last year and we're doing it. And so manna nation will come out first at the beginning of the year. And then later in,
early 2026, we will roll out our platform for children. There's a lot happening. And I'm excited
and I'm so glad you're part of this ministry and this vision to bring the Word of God to people.
Today we're looking at Deuteronomy. So this is Faith Friday, right? So what we're doing
here, I'm going to focus on one verse, one verse in the book of Deuteronomy. We're going to do.
Chronomy. Verse 18. The Lord put this on my heart a week or two ago, and I shared my thoughts
with Doc, and I think Doc had an impact on you. Sure did. When you read what I wrote,
and then I was praying about Morning Manna, and I felt like the Lord said, this is the time to teach
what I gave you about
Deuteronomy 818
and then next week we're going to follow up
with part two on a
similar verse.
Here's what I'm telling you. This is
the basis of it. No, I'm going to save
it. I'll save it for the lesson.
Let's pray
and then we're going to read this one verse and then we're
going to jump into it. Almighty God
Father in heaven.
You are the source
of all good things
and we acknowledge you.
And we appreciate you.
We thank you.
We know that you are our source.
You are our provider.
And we rest in this knowledge that we have a good father, a loving father, a generous father.
And so, Father, we invite the Holy Spirit to take charge of this morning manna, Faith Friday, and teach us your word.
And I'm praying, Father, supernaturally, that you open up the spiritual eyes and even.
and hearts of the people who are listening and watching this lesson
and call something to happen inside of them that they've never seen or heard before.
Father, I pray that our morning man of Clare,
that you will give them the grace to have the revelation of this verse.
In Jesus' name, amen.
Amen.
And welcome to Faith Friday, everyone.
glad to have you here with us. Faith Friday is when we get together each Friday and focus our
attention on faith. We've been doing it all of this year. At the end of our lesson today, we'll also be
having the Lord's Supper, and so we invite you to participate with that as well. So please keep that
in mind. We are reading, Deuteronomy, chapter 8, verse 18, just one verse, but it's a well-packed
verse. So let's read. Shall it from King James, Deuteronomy 818, but thou shalt remember the Lord
thy God, for it is he that giveth thee power to get well, that he may establish his covenant,
which he swear unto thy fathers as it is this day. God bless the reading of his word. Amen.
The Septuagint translation, which is the act.
Greek translation of the ancient Hebrew, and then it was translated from Greek to English.
The Septuagin says, but thou shall remember the Lord thy God, that it is he that gives
thee strength to get wealth in order to establish his coveted, which he swear to
thy fathers as it is at this day as it is at this day that's the subtuage it so let's let's start with the first
part but thou shalt remember the lord your god let's look at the context what's happening here
moses is preparing israel now who or what is Israel there's a lot of
misconception today. People think that a political entity in the Middle East is Israel.
Israel has never been a political entity. It's always been the people of God.
Amen. The people who obey God, the people who follow God, the people who love God.
And it is my firm belief that in the New Covenant Age, the church is Israel.
we are the ones who are worshipping the Lord
serving him, obeying him, following him.
If you can't be in Israel
and deny and reject the Lord Jesus Christ
correct.
It's just that simple.
Please don't tell me that people who reject Jesus Christ
are in Israel.
It's theologically impossible.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the king of Israel.
And if you don't recognize him and worship him and obey him and submit to him,
you are not in Israel.
Amen.
So I'm saying these things because in the context of Deuteronomy,
Moses was preparing the people of Israel for the greatest danious.
danger they would face, not the giants in Canaan, not foreign armies, not wild beast, but prosperity.
Wow.
Their greatest danger, Doc, was that they could develop prosperity amnesia.
You ever heard of prosperity amnesia?
No, that's a new phrase for me.
That's when you become rich and you forget who made you rich.
Wow.
Okay.
The prosperity amnesia is a disease.
It's a spiritual disease where people forget.
They forget God.
The moment all their needs are met.
they can be in great need financially
and look Christians are
Christians are guilty of this sin also
they're crying out to God
oh Lord help me
and this could be going on for years
and then the Lord moves in their lives
brings them favor and prosperity
lifts them up from where they're at
and they've got a new home
they've got new cars, they got new jobs, they got investments, everything's going great.
And a couple of years later, they barely mentioned the Lord's name.
Wow.
It's prosperity amnesia.
And so Moses is telling the people of Israel, we're going to cross in.
But let me warn you, the Lord is going to make you rich.
He's promised, he's promised, he's given you all.
the blessings.
In fact, you can read about it in
Deuteronomy 28.
He has all the blessings
itemized and then he has
all the curses itemized.
Yes, he does.
And I think there's about what, three times more
curses than blessing?
That's right.
Because he says, if you forget
and you do this, this
is what's going to happen to you.
So to remember, remember,
but you shall remember you shall not you should you ought to it's a command from god god is speaking
through moses you shall remember this is a command you shall remember you shall remember
remember is not just your memory recalling a fact some event in your mind but it is to live in
a active state of conscious gratitude right 24-7 always aware who blessed you
God told Moses, you tell the people, but, if there's a but there's a but there, dog, then
this but is following a promise of a blessing, but you shall remember the Lord, your God.
It's a command.
Remember him 24-7.
Don't ever think you made this wealth on your own.
Don't think you can keep it without it.
Don't think that you can spend it any way you want to without talking to him about it.
It's the Lord, your God, who gave you.
Okay, we're going to get to the next part.
So the wilderness, they spent 40 years in the wilderness.
That was God's school of dependence.
What did they eat in the wilderness?
Manna.
What's the name of this lesson?
Morning.
What's the name of our new platform?
Manna Nation?
Yes.
Are you getting a vision of where God is taking you and me?
He desires us to live every day eating manna that he provides.
and to remember him to recall 24-7
the moment you wake up in the morning,
oh God, thank you for this beautiful day.
Thank you for being my father.
When you go to bed at night, Father, thank you, this was an awesome day.
Thank you for being my father.
Thank you for blessing me.
You're in a state of awareness, appreciation, of gratitude,
because it's the Lord your God who made you wealthy,
made you healthy, made you prosperous, made you happy, made you joyful.
You said, well, I'm not wealthy.
Well, you're wealthier than 99% of the human race on the planet.
Amen.
Doc and I have been to some really poor places in the world.
And I'll tell you this.
America's poor are rich in most other countries.
Oh, yeah.
average people in other countries would like to have as much as America's poor.
So the whole thing is depends on where you're at, okay, but the Lord gives you more.
He takes care of all of your needs and adds to it.
And we're going to understand here in a minute why he adds to it.
Yes, he gives you all your needs.
But my friends, it's wrong.
It's wrong to expect only that your needs are met.
Yes.
That is selfish.
And you better say again, Rick.
It is selfish to pray that God supply only your need.
How selfish can you be?
You don't want any extra to help someone else?
you don't desire any extra to spend in the gospel if you only have enough for your needs you don't have enough to do anything else
and that's pretty selfish isn't it that's very selfish and yet that's the pseudo humble attitude in many churches
well the Lord meets my needs and nothing more and I'm content
no you're selfish
I might have people turning this off right now I don't know
it might be I might be angering people
because you've never thought of it as being selfish
but you don't have anything extra to share
right you don't have anything extra to invest in the gospel
because you're asking the Lord to only meet your needs.
Doc, I used to pray that way for this ministry,
and the Lord convicted me of it.
He answered the prayer, though, didn't he?
He mentioned the prayer, and then one day he showed me, Rick,
you're limiting your ministry.
You're asking me to meet the needs of the needs of the people.
the ministry.
And I used to tell people, hey, I don't know how we get through 30 days, but at the end of
the 30 days, all of our bills are paid.
God bless the Lord.
You know, there's nothing left over, but all the bills are paid.
I thought that was faith.
It sounded like victory, didn't it?
It did, Doc.
I did.
I thought I was living by faith.
But I wasn't living according to this scripture.
because he desired to give me more than enough
and I'm going to tell you in a moment why he desires to give you
more than enough
so
the wilderness is the school
you're not going to receive
abundant blessings until you live in the wilderness
you learn to eat manna in the wilderness
You learn to like manna in the wilderness
You learn who feed you in the wilderness
That's just the basic needs though
That's boot camp
That's boot camp
Wealth is the final exam
The wilderness is the
Boot Camp
But wealth
Earthly wealth is the final exam.
And here's what I mean.
It is the ability to manage abundance
without losing your soul.
A lot of people fail this one.
Excuse me, sir.
The Lord gives them abundance,
and the next thing you know,
they've walked away from the Lord.
They develop prosperity amnesia.
so i've heard people say well you know i've asked the lord don't give me abundance because i'm afraid
i'll i'll mess it up well that's not very well what are you saying to your father
i'm not capable of staying loyal to you yeah that's what you're saying
what if your son or daughter said dad mom
Don't give me anything nice.
I'll forget who you are.
You'd be offended by that, wouldn't you?
Wouldn't you be offended by that?
You'd say, what did you just say?
Oh, just give me plain old stuff.
If you give me something nice, I'll just forget about you and never come back.
But that's what people are saying to God.
That's right.
It sure is.
I never thought about that before, Rick, but people are doing exactly that.
Just give me what I need, because I'll forget about you and I'll, God, I'll never come back.
I'll never go back to church.
I'll never pray again.
I'll just go off.
I don't trust myself.
So, Lord, if I don't trust myself, you shouldn't trust me either.
Wow.
And they're confessing that by faith.
That's, wow.
That's their faith.
So, this verse in Deuteronomy is warning us that the heart that forgets on turns every blessing into an idol and every idol into a curse.
Yes.
You don't believe me, read Deuteronomy chapter 28.
It's the blessings and the curses.
You want to know why America is.
is overrun with illegal immigrants read Deuteronomy 28 that's right it's a curse from God
he will fill your nation up with foreigners yes god told people that 30 years ago
yeah when you first when you first spoke about that I think I've heard you talk about
about 10 years ago had never triggered with me that because it always bought
bothered me that there was never an answer to the illegal immigration issue. They've been dealing
with it here in America since before Reagan. Well, I mean, it was always a political football going
back and forth, left and right and everything, and never solved. And one day I heard you
mention this. And then I talked to the Lord about it. And I was like, Lord, I never, I never understood
that. This, the reason why we can't shake this is because it's a curse on us.
It's a curse.
Why?
Because America forgot God.
Yes.
Oh, we throw his name out at the end of speeches and sporting events and, you know, we always, you know, we always do the old God bless America thing.
God bless America and God bless her troops.
That's the end of it.
And the Lord is like, I'm not impressed.
That does not impress me.
what we are supposed to do is constant remembrance every meal do you pray before you eat
do you do you pray before every meal
now I'm not saying every time you put something in your mouth I always joke
there's like a 500 calorie threshold
There's a minimum of warrant.
I don't have to pray for that.
But anything over five years...
Now this is becoming a meal, okay?
You've got to pray.
But it ought to be just natural response.
You sit down to eat a meal.
It ought to be you pray.
I've gotten to the point, Doc, with Christians.
I'm talking about with Christians.
then I'm looking around saying
okay we're going to pray right
I used to
I just used to take the lead and say hey everybody
let's pray
oh yeah yeah Rick forgot yeah let's pray okay
I don't do it anymore
I just bow my head and I pray myself
you don't want to pray
it doesn't mean anything to you
I'm not going to put you I'm not going to shame you into praying
if you don't desire to thank God for that food that you're going to eat you have no idea
what's in it you're buying it at a restaurant or whatever you have no idea what's in the food
and you have more faith in the chef than you do the Lord oh wow I didn't know you were
going to take me to the woodshed today too right
Oh, I thought maybe you burned your lips or something there.
I said, wow.
But pray over every meal.
If nobody desires to pray, pray yourself.
I don't pray out loud.
If people don't desire to pray, I just quietly pray.
Lord, I'm thanking you for this meal.
And I tell him, you're a good father.
And I mean it.
I mean it.
He's a good father.
Look, the Lord is
He's done a lot of things.
I could write a book about what he's done in my life this year.
I've not shared everything with everyone.
It's very personal, very intimate.
But it's been an amazing year.
But in these last months of 2025, I'll tell you what he's done.
Can you just let me taste his sweetness?
Praise God.
I always know he loved me.
I always knew he was good.
But this year he's allowed me to taste in sweets.
Praise God.
That's why David said taste and see that the Lord is good.
David tasted him.
David,
got the taste in his mouth and then he saw and cried out to israel oh taste and see that the
lord is good he's sweet he says shall this whole year i've been calling him in my private time my sweet
He's gone from being
Almighty God
to God
to Holy Father
to Father
to Papa
and now by the end of this year
he's my sweet Papa
Amen
I don't know what he's going to be next year
and
I think that might be my neighbor
you don't know
You don't know when you're going to leave, okay?
But I think Ezekiel tasted the sweetness of the Lord.
Amen.
I think the prophets tasted the sweetness of the Lord.
I think Elijah tasted the sweetness of the Lord.
and the Lord said,
why don't you just get in that
chariot and ride up here?
Okay, what am I talking?
Before you're going to remember the Lord your God,
it would have to be in love with him.
This lesson is not about earthly wealth.
the byproduct of what I'm teaching you
is going to be earthly wealth
it's the byproduct
you have to start at the basics
you have to fall in love with the Lord
you have to have
a hunger of thirst
to be with him
to know him
to learn about him
we all like people to know about us what we think what we like our kind of music what you know
where we like to go we like we would like to have people who have interest in us the lord does too
right i ask him now doc do you take trips i mean oh no you own the whole universe do you take trip
The garden, so why not?
Does he ever get in his chariot and go to some far away galaxy?
You know, Doc, he's the ultimate real estate developer.
It's still going on, too.
He has a real estate portfolio that I can't comprehend.
He's into precious metals.
He's into rare earth metals.
He's into rare Mars medals.
He's into rare Saturn medals, okay?
He's into rare Jupiter metals.
He's into all kinds of stuff.
He's super wealthy.
Amen.
He's super wealthy.
But here's the thing.
Would you love him if he was a poor God?
I tell him that.
If I found out you were a poorer God
and you don't have a big palace,
you just got a, you just got a shed.
That's okay with me.
I'll spend eternity with you in an old shed.
It's you that I love.
Yes.
It's you.
You have to fall in love with him.
Who he is.
What he is.
What he is.
he thinks about, what he dreams about, what he desires.
Until you fall in love with him, you will not be able to thank him all the time.
Because that will become a law.
It will become a religious ritual.
I got to get up today and say thank you to the Lord 100 times.
101, 99, 100 times.
And you got to have a...
And you got to have a chart on your...
on your refrigerator that you check off, that you did it.
One more time.
I did a hundred thank yous today.
See, this religion, it's got to come from your heart.
You're thanking him because you love him.
Yes.
Because he's sweet.
Because he's adorable.
The Lord is adorable.
he's precious he's sweet he's kind he's merciful he's merciful he's thoughtful
he has done things for me this year so thoughtful i have never experienced these things in my
life they're small things they're intimate things where the lord has done something during the day
You know, like, that came from heaven.
Yes.
That came from heaven.
I'll give you an example.
John Mark has been developing a series
that's going to be on our new Manna Nation.
It's called Daily Whispers.
And he's been working on it all year.
Here's the amazing thing.
Many of those
whispers were written to me.
But John Mark didn't know.
He just wrote what the Holy Spirit gave him to write.
Yes.
And recorded this.
Okay.
John Mark would send them to me,
text them to me each day.
It's usually the first.
5.30 in the mornings when I'd receive it on my phone. Here's what's happening. A 5.30, I'm ending
my morning prayer. And about the same time I'd end my morning prayer, I'd get a ping on my phone,
and hey, John Mark just sent me a new daily whisper. And the whisper would be a reply from heaven
to what I had just prayed for an hour.
I, Doc, how many times did I come in the office and say, it happened again, Doc?
Listen to this, Doc. Listen to this, yes.
It happened again.
This is what I was praying.
And at the end of my prayer, this is the daily whisper that came in, and it is identical to what I was praying.
And I would joke, I just got another voicemail from heaven.
It was the Lord, it was the Lord's thing.
I'm listening to you. I'm answering your prayers. I knew before I made the universe what you would
pray today. Right. But you know, it started with you remembering the Lord first and then the Lord
remembers you. But he had John Mark write and record a message to be sent to me, arrive at the
exact time I ended my prayer, and he had it written and recorded a day or two before I prayed.
You think God's concerned with the clocks in the wall, right?
No.
I'm just sharing these things with you to tell you,
he's so sweet, he's so wonderful.
But you will not remember him.
You will not thank him.
You will not appreciate him until you fall in love with him.
Right.
That's the very first thing.
Because there won't be any meaning in it, and he'll know it.
He'll know that you're just saying empty words.
Doc, this verse mentioned,
but thou shall remember of the Lord thy God.
For it is he that giveth thee power.
What is this power?
What is this word?
Well, first of all, you know,
it's his power to that we're talking about here and it contrasts directly first part of chapter
18 here or chapter 8 sorry chapter 8 here it outlines the blessings that God's going to pour out
and then between verses 11 through 17 it says beware that you don't forget okay and list all
these things. And then you get to verse 17, and thou say thine heart, my power, this is God speaking to
them saying, thou say in thine heart, my power and my might and my hand got me this well.
Then God comes in verse 18 and says, no, thou shalt remember the Lord thy God, for it is he that
giveth the power. In other words, power doesn't come from us. It has no. It's no. It's
doesn't do with us. It has everything to do with the Lord. He gives us the power to get wealth.
It's not just money falling down the sky. It includes the health to work, mind to think, skill
to create, he gives us these things. God does. Well, we often claim, especially here in America,
we talk about pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps. I worked hard for this. I built this.
But really, when you get down to it, who gave you the strength to get out of bed?
Who gave you the strength to breathe the breath in your lungs?
Who gave you the intellect to solve these problems that you're solving and receiving money for?
So this is really teaching.
There's really no such thing as a self-made man in the kingdom of God.
No, there isn't.
And so God does not really permit well.
He actively empowers people.
to generate the resources through diligent strategy and opportunity.
So this verse should change our view of work,
that our jobs aren't just to grind,
but that they're a holy assignment.
They're an arena where God's power flows through us to produce free.
Obama, janitor is a junior high school.
God's got you there.
He's got you there right now.
I want you to sweep with all your hearts.
God's got me digging ditches.
out here in the back 40.
I want you to dig those ditches with joy.
I'd be thankful of God's giving you a shovel
instead of a spoon to dig with.
I mean, this power includes stamina, includes creativity.
And we often, Rick, we take those for great.
And we just think, well, that's just part of who I am.
But he gives the power, the powers.
And so this.
throws the poverty gospel out the window.
The poverty gospel says, well, having money is wrong.
Having wealth is evil.
But the other extreme, too, is that prosperity wealth,
which the Lord is warning about here,
which says that wealth is a goal.
The Bible teaches that wealth is the gift.
Wealth is the gift to be stewarded.
ultimately the greatest power we could ever have is Christ in him
or hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge
and so if we really want true well
I'm talking about wealth in eternity
but also an overflow of wealth in this life
get to know Christ
get to knowing because he is the treasure chest of heaven
he is a you know he is the the open vault
of eternity.
Everything is contained in him.
He's the Word.
The Word of God himself is that treasure.
He gives you the power to get well.
You know, in years past,
I've heard, I can't think of names.
You know, they're gone, you know.
I don't see them on TV anymore.
But, you know, some flamboyant,
colorful preachers with diamond pinky rings, you know,
lace shirts and, you know, the whole diamond cuff way,
showing off their money.
And they would preach this verse for,
it is the Lord that gives you power to get wealth.
And they would preach it like,
God gave me the power to get wealth.
You see all this wolf I've got,
God gave me the power to get wealth.
I've got the power on me.
And then, you know, they start going in.
into the charismatic dance,
I've got the power on me, okay?
And if you give $1,000 of this ministry,
I'm going to lay hands on you and import this power to you.
I've heard that stuff.
It doesn't come from him, does it?
It's lying.
It's blasphemy.
Okay?
You can't import anything.
You can't import any spiritual gift to somebody.
It's not your gift.
However, what this really means.
And because there had been people in the past who have mistreated this verse, a lot of Christians are like, I don't even want to go there. It scares me. I don't want to be like that. Okay. We're trying to do, we're trying to present sound biblical doctrine on this Bible lesson. It is the Lord that gives you power to get wealth. Notice it doesn't say the Lord gives you wealth.
does not say that he does not give you wealth he gives you the power to get wealth
see there's we have responsibility in this so what is this power doc alluded to it
it's your ideas your imagination your ambition your creativity your connections he gives you
It's God who gives you connections.
That's why when Doc and I travel, we always say, Lord, we pray, Lord, give us divine connections on this trip.
When I get off a plane and a foreign land, when my feet hit the ground, I'll say, Lord, your ambassador is here.
Give me my diplomatic assignment.
I'm here to represent your kingdom.
He gives you favor.
He gives you connections.
He gives you creativity.
He gives you ideas.
What you do with it is up to you.
He gives you the power to get the wealth.
But he does not give you the wealth.
You've got to get up and go to work.
You've got to show creativity.
You have to show imagination.
You have to show initiative.
have seen people waste their talents people who've been blessed with talents Christians and they
waste it because they don't have the energy to get up and go develop it right and it's such
it's sad it's unfortunate you're like well I don't you know I really don't need to do it I got
everything that I need I'm satisfied I really don't need to do much more that's that's more
Or the super religious thing, if God desires this to happen for me, he'll make it happen.
He gives you the power to get the success.
Get up off you behind and get moving.
He will give you the power to get the wealth.
He'll give you the ideas.
He'll give you the creativity.
He'll give you the connections.
He'll give you the favor.
But he's not going to give you the wealth.
See, there's a responsibility on us to act.
The legs have got to move.
There's always movement with faith.
So God actively empowers his people to generate abundant resources
through their diligence, through their strategy, through opportunities,
But for what purpose, Rick, just for self-fulfillment, just for, just so we can feel good, just so we can have a nice portfolio and everything?
Is that the reason why?
No, Doc.
That's the way it's taught by some preachers.
I've heard it that way.
And certainly if you, you know, if you go to a motivational seminar, hardly any of those teachers are Christians or they may give God some.
lip service, you know, may call him the big man upstairs or, or whatever God you were, I heard that, I hate that phrase.
Oh, yeah.
Whoever is your God.
Whatever God you worship.
Yeah, whatever God you worship.
But here's the reason that he may establish his covenant, which he swear unto your fathers.
The reason he gives wealth, the reason he gives power to get wealth to his people, that's you.
If you believe in Jesus Christ and love him and serve him, you are one of the chosen people.
You're in the covenant.
You're in the new covenant.
And he gives you the power to get well.
Why?
that he, the Lord, may establish his covenant, the new covenant,
which he swore unto your fathers.
The purpose, the reason God gives us the power
to obtain material wealth, money, gold, silver, houses, land, businesses.
Wealth.
the reason is so that you have more than enough
not this
well I just want the Lord to make my needs
that
insults the Lord
it does it insults
it treats God like a spare tire
yeah
just enough for me
he said wait a
I desire that my covenant be established on the earth.
Yes.
And what is this covenant?
It's the new covenant that was made and written, signed and sealed in the blood of Jesus Christ.
And you're telling me, you just want your little needs met.
And you're not interested in that covenant that was written in the blood of Christ.
that's selfish
you're saying well I'll take
I'll take the benefits for myself
but I really don't have any interest in
whether anybody else knows about it
what do you think drives Doc in me every day
to establish this covenant
in the earth
and that's why
that's why he's giving us man a nation
That's why he's giving us direct TV.
That's why he's giving us Sky TV.
That's why he's giving us DSTV in Africa
because we're going to help establish the covenant in the earth.
We're using the money that he brings to us
to tell people in many nations about this new covenant.
Because that's pleasing to our father.
Now, for a lot of people,
saying that fulfills his covenant.
Someone may be sitting there asking,
God can't fulfill his covenant on his own.
He chooses not to.
He chooses to involve us in the fulfillment
of the promises of his covenant.
Why?
That's right.
He wants us involved in the family business.
He wants us involved.
He wants us out there doing business until he comes,
making deals.
shaking hands, talking to people, establishing relationships, having conversations,
having divine appointments, all these things are right up and they're cumulative
the power to get wealth. It's all coming from God for what purpose. So we can have a bigger
bank account? Well, how big a bank account do you need? How many zeros do you need?
Nine, twelve, how many? Zeros are equal this anyway, right?
The real wealth you need is the wealth that comes from Christ.
And he will give you the power to get the wealth to fulfill the promises of his covenant.
The priority has to be the fulfillment of the promise, Rick.
I think that's where we miss a lot of it.
A lot of people want to have wealth.
I mean, let's face it.
The Bible also says, money solves many problems, but it doesn't solve every problem.
there's a problem that money cannot fill and that's the whole inside of our hearts
and that can only come from a relationship with Jesus Christ everything else is for naught
and that means that for the believer the purpose for having more than we need is so we can do
more for the kingdom of God this is our mission it's our assignment this is what we're
cold to do. And so I'm just really encouraged by this message today, Rick. It really brings us back
on to what the true mission, having this our needs met, our needs met, and then an overflow
so we can do more for him. That's right. You've got to think that your bank account is
missionary money. Yes. Your bank account is covenant capital.
Oh, I like that.
Covenant Capital.
That sounds like a good name for company, doesn't it?
It's money that you have consecrated to the Lord Jesus Christ to promote the gospel.
I hope this, I hope, I pray that this lesson today is we close out 2025.
I hope it motivates a lot of people to give.
The most generous blessing you've ever given this ministry in your life.
To say, I'm on board. I get it. Thank you. This woke me up. I got the revelation today.
My bank account is covenant capital. It's missionary money. Amen.
And God desires to give me more so that I will establish his covenant in the earth as he swore unto our fathers.
Praise God.
are the fathers. He goes all the way back to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, all the prophets, all the
apostles, he swore unto our fathers, that he would do what? Establish the covenant.
Right.
He yearns to be recognized as a covenant keeping God.
and he says when you recognize that and when you desire to tell other people that i am a covenant keeping
god and when you are willing to put money that i give you when you're willing to sell land
when you're willing to sell cars when you're willing to give up things that you own so that the money
can be used to establish the covenant in all the earth i will give you more power to get more wealth
the lack of giving hurts yourself
once you understand what God is doing here
you'll race to give you're like I gotta give
this is the best thing I can do for myself
is to give money starts burning a hole in your pocket
that's right
look we don't we don't need donations
but we will receive covenant capital don't throw a quarter at this ministry don't go hey rick i'm
going to throw you a couple dollars here yeah like it's the united way no no partner with us
partner with a covenant to serve a covenant keeping god to tell the world about a covenant keeping god
to go into every continent and declare the covenant
that was written in the blood of Jesus Christ
this is the greatest, the holiest, most important mission
for any human on earth
to tell other people about the covenant
and God says I'm giving you wealth
so that you will establish my covenant in the earth
well I thought you did it
He did it on the cross, but then Jesus said, go.
He did his thing on the cross.
Go and do what?
Tell the world.
Tell the world what he did on the cross.
Tell the world what he did on the cross.
And establish the new covenant and baptize new believers and lay hands on the sick.
Go into all.
all the world.
Doc, as I was cleaning out my office in the recent week,
I came across a personal note,
and I had forgotten about this.
It was a vision the Lord gave me some years ago.
It wasn't a dream.
It was a vision.
And I saw myself standing on a giant map of the United States.
like the floor was a map of the United States
was huge
and I was looking westward
towards California
and the Lord said what do you see
and I said I see California
and he goes what do you see beyond California
I said I see the ocean
I see the islands
and he said turn around
and now I'm looking eastward
he said what do you see
and I said I see the east coast
I see the islands
he said
Go.
That's what I heard.
Go.
In other words, go west, go east.
Go.
Go into all the world.
And declare this gospel.
Declare.
What is the gospel?
The good news of the covenant.
The good news of the covenant.
What's the covenant?
Your sins are forgiven.
Yes.
You are brought into the family.
of God. You're made a son or daughter in the family of God. This is the new covenant. You have
eternal life. You will be resurrected on the last day. Amen. And if we're not excited about this,
then what is it to us? If you're not excited enough to tell other people about it, then what does
it really mean to you? Because once you comprehend what this covenant is,
is you want to talk about it.
You desire to talk about it, to everybody.
And if you can't go yourself physically,
physically go to other countries,
not everybody can go to every country,
but there are people going.
Yes.
And you get behind those people,
and you use your covenant money,
your covenant capital,
you use your missionary money,
the money that the Lord thy God gives you.
Yes.
And Rick, a lot more people would be going, too,
if they understood.
this principle of covenant capital that's right they would be saying why do i have this money what's the
purpose of it what why why did the lord give it to me to buy a boat i'm not against boats all right
boats take people places and you know and provide some relaxation for people i'm not against boats
but i'm asking you know what could i really do with it i mean what could i really multiply with it what can i
really do for the kingdom of God.
I think many times believers
are afraid that God will actually tell them what they
can do with it. Isn't that the tree?
And God will say to them,
you know what you could do with it is this thing?
Well, that would mean I'd have to do
this and give that a...
Don't be a spiritual hoarder.
You know, you had those TV shows about the hoarders
and they collect every newspaper
from 1938 and everything
and got them stacked up. Can't do nothing.
Can't move around.
they don't have access to anything, and yet they've got everything, right?
Isn't that like a lot of believers today, they have access to everything but can't move around to do anything because they've got too much stuff?
One thing here in Florida, right now within five minutes of my house, they are building three new storage facilities and not small ones, folks.
Here in Florida, when we build a storage facility, we make them four or five stories tall with elevators.
Yes, and there's three of them being built.
So that means they said, hot dog, there are people that want to store stuff.
I'm going to make a place for people to store things and I'm going to be rich.
And that's their attitude.
Come and buy all this stuff, store it, pay the storage fee every month for stuff you'll never use.
Yes, but you got your stuff.
You got your stuff.
What would George Carlin say?
What would George Carlin say today if he were here?
He had a great comedy routine on stuff.
Matthew Henry said this back in the late 1600s, early 1700s.
He said, thou shall remember the Lord thy God and all thy wealth and success.
For he, it is that giveth thee power to get wealth, not thine own might or industry.
but His blessing on it, and He gives it that he may establish his covenant,
that thou mayest be the more firmly bound to obedience.
Yes. John Gill adds this, it is he that gives the power to get well.
John Gill says, all success in the business is from the Lord,
and the Lord gives it that he may establish his covenant to show his faithfulness to his promise.
not for their own righteousness, but for his name's sake, Rick.
Amen.
Alexander McLaurin said, all our getting is God's giving.
We are but the channels.
He is the source, and he gives that his covenant may stand sure.
The end of the gift is the glory of the giver.
Right.
And you were talking about covenant capital, Rick.
G. Campbell Morgan was ahead of you on that.
this, he said that the power to get wealth is God's gift. It's not the result of human cleverness
apart from divine strength. And the gift is covenant money or covenant capital to be used for what?
Covenant purposes. Amen. Amen. Terrell Spurgeon said, never say my power in the might of my
hand. Say rather the Lord Dave. He gives power to get wealth that his covenant may be established.
Your money is missionary money.
There you go.
It is entrusted to you for the master's youth.
And William R. Nalach said,
He giveth the power to get wealth,
not that you may consume it on your lust,
but that his covenant might be magnified in the eyes of the nation.
The stream of bounty flows from that covenant, Rick.
Amen.
Well, Doc, let's go to the Lord's supper.
and we'll conclude this lesson.
I pray that this has caused your faith to awaken.
This was a different Faith Friday message.
This is to challenge you to become a covenant keeping Christian
and a covenant announcing Christian,
a covenant establishing Christian.
that God will increase your financial resources.
He will give you the power to get more
as you increase your efforts to establish his covenant in the earth.
Do you see the connection?
Yes.
Get involved with ministries that are establishing the covenant of God in all the earth.
Get involved with them.
Forget about these fringe patriot groups and these extreme political organizations.
Pour your resources into ministries that are establishing the covenant of God throughout the earth.
Amen.
And God will increase your wealth.
He'll give you more power to gain more wealth.
The two are connected.
Amen.
And I prayed today, too, of those of us, maybe you've been.
trapped in that poverty mindset, that God wants you to remain poor, that God, it's his will for you to
be poor. No, Christ died and became poor himself that you might become rich, but not rich that you
may burn it on your own desires or your own lust or anything like that. He's given each and
every one of us the mission to establish his covenant in the world around us. None of us escape that
assignment, a single one of us. We all have that primary assignment. Just like every soldier
as an infantryman, every believer is a missionary at heart, every believer. And it takes
resources to fulfill that mission. You need to change your mindset that God's got a mission for
you and you need the resources to do it and start asking him, Lord.
First of all, Lord, show me what my mission is.
And then secondly, Lord, supply the resources necessary to fulfill it.
I challenge everybody that's watching or listening day to pray that prayer.
And if you've been trapped in a poverty mindset prior to this,
I pray that you ask the Lord for forgiveness.
Forgiveness for not finding more information or seeking the truth on it
or just being satisfied with what you had.
God wants you to have more.
Why?
so you can do more for his kingdom.
That's why.
So Rick, we're going to go to the Lord's table at this time,
and I think this is a very precious opportunity today for the Lord's table
because I think the Lord is really speaking to a lot of people today
and really challenging them is very basic ideas about their finances
and about the resources that's given them,
and that this opportunity to share,
the cup and the bread is an opportunity for us to reset with Lord and say,
Lord, you know, I was a little off course on this particular topic,
but I want to get back on mission.
I want to get back to the assignment that you've given me.
And Lord, I need the resources that you can provide to get it done.
So, Rick, would you pray for us as we prepare our hearts to enter into the Lord's table
and that there would be nothing that would stand between us and heaven
as it relates to this particular issue or any issue,
anything that would stand between us and the Lord,
but the Lord brought us to this teaching today for a reason
that some of us need to be corrected on this.
And would you pray for us right now?
I think we all need to be corrected on it in some degree or another.
Let's remember
what are we getting ready to do
we're going to participate in the Lord's Supper
when did he establish the Lord's Supper
at Passover
what did he say to his disciples
what was the reason for
eating his flesh and drinking his blood
remember
remember what
the new covenant
remember the new covenant he made the new covenant and he introduced the lord's supper that we would
remember the establishment of the new covenant which was written in his blood
father her father in heaven father forgive us for our father in heaven father forgive us for our
indifference to this assignment that you gave all believers to use the power that you give
us to get wealth to establish your covenant in all the earth as you swore unto the
fathers the father we are consecrating ourselves to you now that as we enter 2026 we will be diligent
and faithful in using our missionary money,
our covenant capital,
to finance ministries
that are diligent
and faithful in proclaiming
the new covenant throughout the world.
And we're believing that you will keep your word
to give us power to get more wealth
so that we can have more covenant money,
more missionary money
to reach more people
with the news of the good
the good news of the new covenant
it's a circle
and we see it today
to forgive us for not
being
aware
and diligent
but we don't have any excuse now
the Holy Spirit has brought forth
the revelation
and now
we have to go into 2026 with a new attitude and new actions.
So, Father, put in the hearts of all of us the things you desire for us to do for your kingdom
to establish the new covenant in all the earth as you swore unto the fathers of old times.
In Jesus' name, amen.
Amen.
And, Lord, if I could, Father, if I could add to this, Lord,
I join with others and just saying, Lord, we repent today of those times where we did not want to hear
your voice, where we did not want to hear about the mission or the assignment that you've given us
because we were fearful or because we thought we lacked resources.
Lord, I pray that you stir that fire up within us, Lord.
Restore the vision, Lord.
Restore the heart for the loss, God.
Lord, I just ask in Jesus' name that you would just stir that up once again.
provide the resources to fulfill everything that you've called us to do in Jesus' name.
Thank you.
Hallelujah.
Glory to God.
Well, we want to enter into the Lord's table this time, and who may participate in the Lord's table?
We generally tell everyone that if you're a confessing believer in Jesus Christ,
I believe in your heart, that God raised him up from the dead, and he's seated at the right hand of the Father right now.
then, and you've been baptized in water according to scripture in the name of the Father,
Son, the Holy Spirit, then we invite you to participate in the Lord's table.
In fact, I don't neglect this, okay?
Don't neglect this at all.
Make it a regular part of your worship, and that's what this is.
It's worship.
And so if you've got the elements of the Lord's table, bread, neither red wine or grape juice,
we're going to pray over it right now and ask for the Lord's blessing.
on it as we participate in his blood and body.
Almighty God, in your tender mercy you gave your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ,
except for death upon the cross for our redemption.
He offered himself and made once for all time a perfect and sufficient sacrifice
for the sins of the whole world, and he instituted this remembrance of his
passion and his death, which he commanded us to continue until he comes again.
Dear Father, sweet Father, we ask you
to bless and sanctify with your Word and Holy Spirit
these gifts of Britain and wine that we may partake of his most blessed body and blood.
Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed once for all upon the cross.
Therefore, let us keep this feast.
Hallelujah.
On the night that he was betrayed, our Lord Jesus took bread,
and when he had given thanks, he broke it,
and then gave it to his disciples saying take eat this is my body which is given for you do this in
remembrance of me the body of our lord jesus christ which is given for you preserve your body and
soul to everlasting life this is the bread of heaven take and eat in remembrance that christ
died for you.
After supper, Jesus
took the cup, and when he'd given thanks,
he gave it to them, saying, drink this all
of you. This is my blood
of the new pebent, which is shed for you
and for many for the forgiveness of sin.
Whenever you drink it, do this
in remembrance of me.
Thank you, Lord. Hello.
Glory to God. Thank you,
Lord. The blood of our Lord
Jesus Christ, which was shed for His
for you, preserve your body and soul to everlasting life.
Drink the cup of salvation in remembrance that Christ's blood was shed for you and be thankful.
Behold the Lamb of God, behold Him who takes away the sins of the world, and blessed
are those who are invited to the Married Supper of the Lamb.
This sacrament is the gift of God for the people of God.
Feed on Him by faith with Thanksgiving that Christ died for you.
Glory to God.
What a blessing today, Rick.
Amen.
Great lesson and a great time of fellowship at the Lord's table today.
It's going to transform your life in 2026 if you act on it.
If you have the revelation of what was taught today and you act on it,
your life is going to change in 2026.
I believe God is transferring wealth right now to select it Christians who have made,
made a covenant with him to obey him and to use their capital, their covenant capital,
to establish his covenant in the earth in 2026.
The world is going to have great trouble, but a lot of Christians are going to have
great blessing.
Praise God.
To do what?
To proclaim the kingdom.
proclaim the kingdom.
Praise God.
It's society.
I'm expecting big things now.
That's right.
That's right.
You don't have to go without.
You don't have to suffer.
You don't have to just barely get by.
That's not biblical.
It's not biblical.
That's a religious heresy that Satan planted in the church.
Yes.
Don't believe it anymore.
It's a big dog hair, and it's an expensive dog hair.
Because it's robbing you of your blessing.
And it's robbing God of his opportunity to show his glory.
Yes.
He's looking for people who believe what he said.
If it offends somebody else, if they don't like it, that's their problem.
That's right.
My God.
Yeah.
My God said, I will give you power.
to get wealth to establish my covenant in the earth as I swore under my father under your fathers
that's what he said I believe it done deal I'm with it if nobody else on earth
believes it I believe it that's my attitude nobody's going to convince me it's not true
it's true it's written in black and white I can read it amen all right be blessed today
expect prosperity to come your way in 2026.
Amen.
Why? Because God has promised it to you if you will partner with him to establish his covenant
in all the earth.
Right.
Well, be sure to join us on Monday morning because we're going to pick back up in chapter
18, starting with verse 9, and we're going to continue our study in chapter 18 as a great
chapter.
We're learning a lot already, and we're going to learn a lot here in this.
coming week as we finish out this year with the final week of Morning Manna for this year.
And then we'll be taking a brief break over the holidays with the production of Morning
Manna, but in the planning for it.
Because as we get into the first of the year, we'll be right back here, teaching again
and getting ready to go on television the 1st of February.
And so be praying for us.
and be praying for us that God will show us and expand our vision
and give us the faith to believe for the resources
to accomplish everything he's called us to do.
And we'll pray the same thing for you.
Sound like a good partnership there?
It does.
Let's do it.
All right.
God bless you.
We'll see you on the Monday edition of Morning Man.
