Good morning everybody. Welcome to Morning Manna. It's Thursday and we are delighted
to have you wherever you are in the world. This is an awesome online virtual Bible study
class sponsored by Faith and Values Fellowship in Vero Beach, Florida. And we have the privilege of hosting many people
from all over the world, many nations gathered together in this class. And it's a delight to
have so many brothers and sisters join us every morning at 8 a.m. Eastern Time at faithandvalues.com.
We are working our way through the book of Proverbs. We're in the fourth chapter, and today we're going to tackle verses 7 through 13. If we
can get that far, it's more verses than I usually do in one session, but it's's a set and I don't like breaking it up. So I'm going to do my best to get all
Verses from 7 to 13 done today
Let's pray and then doc will read and he and I will then begin teaching father. God our wonderful father in heaven
How it be thy name father let your will be done on earth today as it is in heaven all the time
So father for your will to be done on earth today
That means there must be humans who are submitted to you and obey you and
If they're submitted to you and obey you, then it means that they have wisdom and understanding.
In the book of Proverbs, it's teaching us the importance of wisdom and understanding
and also the method to obtain it. So, Father, this is our request to the Holy Spirit. Open our hearts and minds,
illuminate us, bring revelation into us about wisdom,
and understanding, and discernment in the name of Jesus Christ, our King. Amen.
Amen. Welcome Bible students here to Morning Manor.
We're live right now on the eight o'clock hour here on the East Coast of the United States.
We appreciate you being here. We have students that are checking in from Switzerland,
from Brazil, from the Philippines, from South Korea, from Australia today. God bless you and
welcome to Morning Manna as we dive into the Word of God today. We continue our study in Proverbs
chapter 4 today. And so if you've got your Bibles,
follow along with me. We're going to be reading verses 7 through 13 today. Verses 7 through
13 of Proverbs chapter 4. This very first verse is a verse that both Rick and I are
probably principal verses for us in our walk with the Lord. Verse 7 reads, chapter 4, wisdom is the principal thing.
Therefore get wisdom with all thy getting, get understanding. Exalt her and she shall promote
thee. She shall bring thee to honor when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head
an ornament of grace, a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. Verse 10, hear, O my son,
and receive my sayings, and the years of thy life shall be many. I have taught thee
in the way of wisdom, I have led thee in right paths. When thou goest, thy steps
shall not be straightened, and when thou runnest, thou shall not stumble. Take fast hold of instruction. Let her not go. Keep her,
for she is thy life." God bless the reading of his word today.
Doc, I think that's one of the strongest sets of verses in the entire book of Proverbs.
in the entire book of Proverbs. I mean this is the meat of it. Verse seven,
wisdom is the principal thing therefore get wisdom and with all thy getting get understanding.
The modern world English Bible translation says, wisdom is supreme, get wisdom. Yes, though it cost all your possessions, get understanding.
Is anybody willing to give up every physical thing you own on earth to obtain wisdom and
understanding?
You got to come to that point at some point in your life.
You've got to come to that. Is wisdom more valuable to you than your house?
Your cars your investment portfolio your 401k your business
Your gold
Is Wisdom more valuable to you than those things. Are you willing to give them all up if God said, okay?
Here's an offer
Surrender give up all those things and I give you wisdom. Would you do it?
That your answer to that
Reveals
The value you place on wisdom
Wisdom is the principle thing.
It's supreme, there's nothing higher.
So this is talking about the unmatched,
indescribable value of wisdom.
And that we, if we're going to call ourselves the sons and daughters of God, that we have to place His truth above all else.
Wisdom is supreme.
Wisdom is the principal thing.
It is preeminent.
It surpasses all earthly pursuits.
Would you like to be the president of the United States or would you like to have wisdom?
I wish we had presidents who had wisdom.
Amen. We have presidents, presidents who had wisdom. Amen.
We have presidents, but they lack wisdom.
Other countries have prime ministers, they lack wisdom.
Would you like to be the prime minister of your country, the president of your country,
the king of your country, or would you like wisdom? If they were all there on
a table and you could choose one, which one would you choose? God says this is
the most valuable thing you could possess, wisdom. It's foundational. Everything else is a lesser priority. Therefore, get wisdom.
Yes. If it's the principal thing, that should be what you pursue. If you believe it's the principal thing.
The Bible says it is. Do you believe it is? Because if you believe it is, then you're going to get it.
Yes. So it's an urgent call to not only see, this is more than pursue wisdom.
You can pursue something, but if you never get it, what use is the pursuit?
Amen.
I mean, if a hunter pursues a deer through the woods, but never bags the deer, never
shoots the...
I mean, what was the point of the pursuit?
Just to get some exercise? I mean you could stay home on the treadmill. It doesn't say therefore
pursue wisdom. It says therefore get wisdom. You get it when you pursue it, but the purpose of the pursuit is the acquisition
of something. Yes. It's real simple. Get. G-E-T. Get it. Get conveys determined acquisition Get Get
Conveyes
Determine acquisition
Amen
I'm going to get it. We were joking yesterday, you know the saying in the south get you some yes
Well, you know we say those things here in the south like you know meal time
during barbecue
Whatever somebody says I I didn't get any of that brisket. Well, we told you to get you some
That's right
Looks like everybody else got some and you didn't
Okay, whose fault is it?
You didn't want it bad enough you didn't at the time you didn't you didn't desired enough at the time and somebody else got it
Now wisdom doesn't in in the biblical since wisdom is not a finite quantity
God doesn't run out of wisdom.
But you do have to show effort.
And then it says, and with all thy getting, get understanding. Spare no effort in gaining insight.
Remember, my definition of understanding is
knowing the practical method to apply wisdom.
I mean, a surgeon with a scalpel in his hand who doesn't know how to cut is dangerous.
You're really not a surgeon if you don't know how to use the scalpel.
You might know a lot about operations, but if you don't know how to handle a scalpel,
you're not a surgeon.
So the understanding is the practical application of the wisdom you gain.
You know how to use it.
It's the tool.
You know how to put this into action. But the Bible says, with all thy getting,
get it. Not just get it, but get it with all your getting.
What does that look like, doc? If I tell you to get something, but then I say, Hey doc, but get it with all your getting.
I mean, you're not just moseying up there and like, you know, going to pick up something.
I'll pick it up later.
No, you're, you're going for it.
That's right.
It's like a football tackle. With all, I mean, it's like a football tackle
With all I mean it's like a coach saying to football players with all you're getting get that ball
Do whatever you got to do out there get that ball The modern, as I said, the modern English version says, though it costs all your possessions,
get understanding.
That's emphasizing the value of understanding, insight, knowing the practical way to apply
the principles of wisdom.
Understanding conveys the,
it signifies deep discernment.
Discernment, there are times to talk.
There's a right time to talk and it's a wrong time to talk.
And when it's a time to talk, there's a right word to say and a wrong word to say.
And that requires wisdom and discernment.
That's the understanding.
The understanding to know when to say something and what to say at that
moment. What action to take and what action not to take. Sometimes we really desire to say something to somebody,
not out of malice, not having any intention, but there's a situation where you really desire
to say something, it's a serious matter.
Let's talk about interpersonal relationships.
But what you say and how you deliver it will determine whether the other person
receives it, even though you meant no harm by it.
There are just times when you have to stop talking.
Yes. And think, before I say this, how is he or she going to receive it?
That requires discernment, understanding.
There are situations and families and organizations and churches, wherever there's people, there
are misunderstandings
there are hurt feelings there are ruptures there's all kinds of things
going on when you have wisdom and understanding you seek the Lord about
what can I do to bring peace resolution in this situation? Or there's a roadblock in a project.
What can I say or do at the right time to move this forward?
It's been something blocking it.
How can I gently move this out of the way?
Especially when there's a, you know, you have,
if there's a person that's stubborn and obstinate
and bullheaded and, you know, you're like, okay, we got to, we got to move this project
around that big boulder without getting that boulder rolling.
Okay. Because the boulder rolling, okay?
Because the boulder can do damage.
Those kind of situations require wisdom
and discernment and understanding.
I mean, it's not wise to go up to a boulder
with a hammer and chisel and just say,
I'm gonna beat you to pieces because you're a boulder. Sometimes just let it be a boulder. Yeah, you'll get frustrated
and the boulder doesn't like it. And just find a way around it. Bypass it. Verse 8, exalt her and she shall promote thee, she shall bring thee to honor when thou dost
embrace her.
Praise God.
Modern English, World English Bible, esteem her and she will exalt you.
She will bring you to honor when you embrace her. Let's start,
let's look at exalt her and she shall promote thee. This is a call to elevate,
lift up wisdom. Exalt her. If you exalt somebody or something, you're lifting it up.
You're holding it up. Hey, everybody, look. This is amazing.
Fix your eyes on this. So it's saying to us, elevate wisdom in your life.
Exhaust her, put her at the top of your life. You don't wait
till you go into bed to say a little prayer saying, Father,
give me some wisdom. Just started a little prayer saying, Father, give me some wisdom.
Just started the morning out saying, I need wisdom.
Wisdom will multiply the hours of your day. It will make the hours of your day more fruitful. In other words, you'll get more done in one day with wisdom than you can in a year without
it.
Amen. reverence, respect, wisdom should occupy the central place in your life. Are the
words I'm about to say wise? Is this is the decision I'm about to make wise? It And it says, when you exalt her, she will exalt you.
When you exalt wisdom, wisdom turns around and says, well, I'm going to lift you up too.
I'm going to lift you up in the eyes of men and women, even those who don't like you.
They'll see that you've been elevated.
They might dislike you even more.
But you'll still be elevated, lifted up.
Wisdom will promote you in the eyes of people in respect and wisdom can elevate you in your job with
a promotion, it can elevate you in material possessions, elevate you with the knowledge
that you have about particular subjects. Don't we all want to be somebody that somebody else
says, Hey, go over here and see so and so they're wise, they'll know how to deal with
this situation.
And wisdom also tells you when to keep your mouth shut to yes. That's I need wisdom for that
probably more than anything else.
Well Doc, I'm not gonna say anything because I'm far past you in shooting off my mouth.
But isn't that the essence of wisdom?
Not only knowing what to say, but what not to say and when.
Yes, yes.
I'm getting better in my old age of just holding it back,
absorbing the hit and just moving on.
And she shall bring thee to honor.
Not only will wisdom promote you, elevate you, lift you up,
but wisdom will bestow honor on you.
God's wisdom is the force that brings honor to you.
Wisdom, when you pursue wisdom, when you get wisdom
and understanding all you're getting, wisdom promises you a noble status in life.
Again, this does not mean Satan and his friends aren't trying to tear you down. In fact,
the more God elevates you, the more they will work to tear you down.
In fact, the more God elevates you, the more they will work to tear you down. Yes.
Doesn't say anything here about, and there won't be attacks on you, there won't be enemies.
It's just that they can't tear you down.
No matter what they try, it won't work. It's the outcome of wisdom's guidance. She shall bring. She goes and gets
the honor and brings it to you.
But there is a condition. Yes. When you embrace her. When you embrace her, she shall, she will bring you to honor
when you embrace her. So when this is now, if there's an embrace, now you have an intimate, close relationship.
That's what the scripture is trying to get across there, that this is, you know, it's
almost like two lovers.
You know, when they're deeply in love with one another, you can just tell it by the way
they hold one another, by the way they look at one another, they all hold hands,
they embrace one another. That's that word there, the Shabbach word, the word for embrace,
an intimate relationship.
There's a difference between a hug and an embrace.
Yes.
Friends hug, lovers, embrace.
Or extremely close friends who have gone beyond
the surface level friendship,
like I think in the Bible, Jonathan and David. Right.
Yes, King David and Jonathan, yes.
So, but there's an embrace,
and the embrace means intimate, close, personal.
It's not just a surface level hug.
There's affection, love, commitment to each other.
When you embrace wisdom, she says,
hey, don't go away, I'll be back.
And she comes back with honor in her hand.
Here, I've got something for you.
Honor.
See, wisdom brings it.
She shall bring.
Not she might, she could.
Think about it.
She shall bring.
She shall bring thee to honor
when you embrace her. It's a loving bond. Verse 9, She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace, a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
Praise God.
Not only does she bring honor, but wisdom looks in her bag and says, says here I've got an ornament of grace and I got a crown of glory she shall
give to thine head she will? In your head.
It's a recognition that you're thinking about wisdom all the time.
You think about those whom you love.
So this is saying when you place wisdom at the top, when it's the principal thing, nothing
greater wisdom than she brings honor to you and then she brings an ornament to you.
So there's a gracious act she gives, she shall give, she doesn't sell, This speaks of beauty.
And what could be more beautiful than an ornament of grace? I mean, if God was going to all if you had a choice between the finest necklace, neck chain,
and whatever's hanging on it, and God saying, Here, I have an ornament of grace,
which one would you choose? It's the ornament of grace. Yes.
It's the ornament of grace. Here's the awesome thing about her ornament of grace beautifies your life.
When she gives you the ornament of grace, she's beautifying you.
She's making you prettier.
Doesn't mean physically that your facial expression or features change, but your spirit, your
demeanor, your aura aura your countenance if
people just look at you and go this person has the blessings of God on him
or her and then a crown of glory a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
Wisdom's ultimate reward is eternal honor and it's bestowed on you in a glorious crown.
She shall deliver it to you.
Again, she brought honor to you. She shall bring honor to you.
Now she will deliver a crown of glory.
Think about that.
It's a crown.
And what does a crown represent?
It represents ruling and authority and-
Nobility.
Leadership.
And nobility.
Yes, and so it's not just, you know, here's a hat.
No, this was a crown.
A crown implies royalty.
Amen?
Yes.
And if you're not entitled to wear the crown, you look like a fool.
That's right.
I mean, if Doc and I were sitting here earthly family and, you know, a noble family.
No. You would look like a fool.
If you were, again, you know, I use the example of the British monarchy.
If you were not a member of the British family and you were wearing a crown of the monarchy, you'd look
like an idiot. You might as well go wear Burger King crown.
You know, I'm just thinking about that. But that morning I drove through Burger King.
And you know, I was getting breakfast on the way to work. And the lady at the window after
she handed me my food said, would you like a crown?
I was like, what?
It had processed first.
And I said, yes, I would like a crown.
Even though it was a fake crown, even though it's a cardboard
crown, I wanted that crown.
The cardboard crown.
But if you saw Prince Warr wearing a crown,
what are you gonna do if you thaw out in hell?
(*claps*)
The last thing I remember, I was being frozen,
and now here I am.
I'm melted, and I'm on fire.
Oh, wow. So wisdom promises longevity. We all desire to live
a long time. Here's the way to do it. This is when you again the negative destructive people around you you just you know what I
don't have time for this I just don't have time for this I desire to live a long time
and I need to pursue wisdom I'm not listening to this other stuff I'm going to pursue wisdom
I'm going to get wisdom and understanding with all my getting and I'm going to pursue wisdom. I'm going to get wisdom and understanding with all my getting and I'm going to receive the sayings of God and he promised I shall
have a long life. Praise God that's, not in a wheelchair, not in a
nursing home, but good health, vitality, sound mind. It's a tangible reward of wisdom.
Yes. It's not spiritual. I mean, it's spiritual in the sense
that you, you know, it's administered by the spirit, but is a tangible benefit in this life.
I love that.
Yes.
Doc, I just had a flash memory.
I don't know, I was somewhere in my mid to late 20s.
I was 24, almost just turning 25 when I got saved.
So it was sometime after I got saved.
But my grandmother asked me to take something to a woman who was a close friend of hers.
They had gone to school together, okay?
I remember my grandmother was born in the 1890s.
So they went to school together in a one-room schoolhouse in a place called Indian Springs.
And I remember, I just had this flash. This woman's
name was Virgie. Virgie Weller. Okay. And my grandmother asked
me to I want to give Virgie something and I know you're
headed out that direction. Would you stop and give this to her?
And I did I remember knocking on on her door and she opened up
the door and I could still see the way she was dressed. You know, her hair was in a bun,
the long old dress just like they dressed, you know. The prairie style dress, right? Yep. Yeah.
And she was baking pies.
Oh man, when that door opened up,
she had this big smile, Rick, come in. How come I can smell that pie right now?
And I mean, that house was just filled
with the smell of pies, you know?
And she said, come on in, I'm making some pie.
She had pies everywhere.
Okay, I remember I was just there for a few minutes to give her give her the gift whatever
my grandmother had. But Doc, here's the thing. That hundred and three. And she was baking pies like there
was no tomorrow. Praise God. Was she the recipient of long years of grace, an ornament of grace. Yeah, she was. I bet she was in church every
every Sunday. That's right. That's right. I bet a long, long life.
Okay. So, it's a promise from God.
He determines how long, but it's long.
It just says, your life shall be many. The years of your life shall be many.
the years of your life shall be many." And it's telling you how to receive it, how to achieve it. Verse 11, I have taught thee in the way of wisdom, I have taught thee.
Thee is you.
I've taught y'all.
I taught you.
Value. We are to value the teachings that the Holy Spirit brings to us.
The Spirit of wisdom, the Holy Spirit is the one who teaches you.
The Holy Spirit is the active teacher in your life.
The Holy Spirit's senior position is governor.
You're not going to find that word in the Bible.
The Holy Spirit is the governor of the planet.
What does that mean?
God's kingdom, God's headquarters, his city is in heaven.
Heaven is the city state.
Man was made in the image and likeness of God,
but we have physical bodies
and we live on a physical earth.
We have feet. We don't have wings. We don't have wings to fly around. We have feet.
We live in a physical world.
Jesus told the disciples before he was crucified,
I'm going to leave you, but I'm not gonna leave you alone.
I'm gonna send you the Comforter.
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter.
The Holy Spirit is God's governor over the church,
the colonies that we're establishing. And that's what we're supposed to be doing, the colonies that we're establishing.
And that's what we're supposed to be doing,
establishing colonies, colonies of Christians.
The only person I've ever known of in history
that actively knew this and got this down,
I'm talking about establishing colonies, was St. Patrick.
And he had a good understanding, hey, I'm supposed to establish colonies.
And he eventually colonized Ireland.
There were so many colonies, they started bumping into each other.
That's right.
And then it became one big colony called the church.
But anyhow, the Holy Spirit is the governor.
I've told this story before, but many years ago, I was in St. Kitts.
I was in the SUV with my friend, he's passed away, Rudy Morton, who was—
Good old Rudy.
Good old Rudy. Yeah, good old Rudy. Then if you wanted to meet somebody on that
island, you just went to Rudy. That's right. He knew everybody
and could connect you with anybody, including the Prime
Minister, anybody. And I was with him. We were riding through
the downtown of Bastair, the capital of St. Kitts, and we were at an intersection,
and this Rolls-Royce came by the other direction across in front of us. Now mind you, this is
St. Kitts. Population of what? 25,000 people maybe on St. Kitts? Yeah, 30-some thousand, yeah.
I said, whoa, Rudy, who's driving around here
on this island in a Rolls-Royce?
And he laughed.
He says, oh, Rick, that's the queen's governor.
I said, the governor?
I didn't know you had a governor.
I didn't know the, I didn't understand the way kingdom,
earthly kingdoms worked at that time.
This is one of the things that got me, inspired me to understand, to study earthly kingdoms so I could also
understand how God's kingdom works. I said, what do you mean a governor? He
goes, and he said the man's name, I forget the man's name, he said, oh he's the
governor. Well what does the governor do? The I forget the man's name. He said, oh, he's the governor. Well, what does the governor do?
The governor tells the queen what's going on in the island.
And the governor tells the island what the queen says.
Okay, liaison, go between.
Okay. Okay, liaison go between Okay
The the governor was the the official from heaven. All right
in this case
The governor of st. Kitts was the emissary from Buckingham Palace
The official representative of Buckingham Palace. There was not a higher official on the island
than the queen's governor.
Appointed by the queen, sent by the queen.
And could call the queen.
How many people can just call the queen
and now the King of England?
Not that many.
Right, but a governor could.
Yes, in Buckingham Palace, a veneer said, Your Majesty, the governor of St. Kitts is on the line with an important call.
He got through.
The Holy Spirit is God's governor on the earth. He's the go-between. He tells
God what's being done down here and he tells us what God's saying up there.
Amen. But he's appointed by the King. He doesn't answer to us, he answers to the king.
He's here to supervise the king's colony.
The church is God's colony on earth.
Yes.
So, it says, I have taught thee wisdom, which is the Holy Spirit, the Governor.
The Holy Spirit is the one teaching us.
Why?
Because it's a responsibility from the King.
Teach my subjects down there on earth help them to understand the right way to live
i know i know god doesn't imitate ricky ricardo and go i i i you know but
Imitate Ricky Ricardo and go I yeah, yeah
you know, but
You gotta wonder
when he's watching us like
Somebody go down there and teach them some wisdom
Well, the only ones that that receive wisdom are the ones that are pursuing wisdom and getting it with all they're getting. Does this stuff make sense to you now?
I have taught you in the way of wisdom. I didn't teach you about politics or business or sports.
I taught you about wisdom, the way of wisdom, a path of wisdom.
The path is how you get through life, the path of wisdom.
I have taught you the way. Here's the road. I'm teaching you the road. Here's
the pathway. I have led thee in right paths. It's the Holy Spirit, the governor,
who's always gently trying to get us over here on
this way, this path.
Jesus is the way.
The early Christians were people of the way.
And I'm reminded of Psalm 23, 3, where it says, He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for His name's sake.
Amen.
So this is self-identifying, not Solomon that's saying this,
but the Holy Spirit itself is saying this.
I'm leading thee.
The Spirit of God is leading the in the right paths.
What are the right paths?
The paths of righteousness.
Amen. We got two more verses in three minutes. What are the right paths? The paths of righteousness.
Amen. We got two more verses in three minutes. Let's go.
Verse 12.
When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straightened, and when thou runnest, thou shall not stumble.
Modern English says, when you go, your steps will not be hampered.
When you run you will not stumble.
So let's take a look at this.
King James says straightened.
I don't know. I mean I think for us in
modern time we think, wait a minute, your steps won't be straight. No, that's not what it means. This is an old English word. It doesn't mean the same thing
as we think today. It means hampered. Your steps where you're walking will not be hampered. the the
the
the
the
the
the
the
the
the
the
the the I have in my yard dangerous pits covered with grass.
Which I hate to say this, every year I say I'm going to spend a whole day filling those
things in.
Okay.
How many years?
You can't see them because they're covered with grass.
But when you're walking through the yard,
you'll step in one.
And if you're not careful, you're gonna twist your ankle.
See, it's hampering, that's hampering your walk.
It won't be, your path won't be strewn with these potholes, these rocks, these things that are stumbling, making you stumble.
And when you run, so first when you're walking, you won't be hampered.
But when you run, you will not stumble.
That's right.
So running implies rapid action.
Now there's intensity. You've picked up the pace.
Whether you're moving through life leisurely walking,
or you're at a moment in time when you're running.
Sometimes we have to run.
We have to run in the affairs of life.
Pick it up and move, let's go, come on, let's go.
Sometimes we have these short bursts
of intense energy, activity.
You just feel the urgency from the Lord, get it done, do it now.
And when you run, you will not stumble.
That's a promise of stability.
A stumble represents a fall.
Thou shall not.
That's a promise of divine protection. Now verse 13, take fast hold of instruction, let her not go,
keep her for she is thy life. Take fast hold of instruction. If I take fast hold of your hand, it means I'm gripping it.
I'm reaching out and grabbing your hand and gripping it.
It means to seize, to hold tightly.
Seize and hold tightly instruction. Yes. Why do you seize and hold tightly to something?
Not to let go.
Hold firmly. Hold tightly.
This is speaking of tenacity.
I'm not going to let go.
Especially when you're running.
Whether you're walking or running in life, you're holding wisdom's hand tightly, firmly.
You're holding on to instruction.
The instructions that come from the Holy Spirit.
Let her not go. Keep her. Yes. Retain wisdom in instruction.
Display a steadfast commitment to holding on to that which you have learned.
If something is valuable, you won't let it go.
If it's not valuable, you can forget about it, lose it.
No big deal.
It's just wisdom.
People don't let go of their money.
They don't let go of their precious metals.
They don't let go of their valuables. Or sometimes they don't let go of their precious metals, they don't let go of their valuables.
Or sometimes they don't let go of their pain, they don't let go of
what they perceive to be authority and power in this world. Well, they'll let go of wisdom.
Yeah. It says, don't let go of her. Yes. Keep her.
Keeper means active guardianship.
It's your responsibility to actively guard wisdom and instruction in your life.
Why?
For she is your life. What else is there besides your life? Wisdom has life-giving power.
Life in this sense represents flourishing, abundant existence.
flourishing, abundant existence,
a life that's vibrant, a life that has purpose, a life that has meaning.
And it's a promise, for she is your life.
Hey, we did it, Doc, I'm only four minutes over.
Praise God.
Hey, we did it, Doc. I'm only four minutes over. Praise God. So tomorrow we'll pick up at verse 14. Yes, sir. And it looks like... Well, tomorrow's Friday.
Oh, that's right. Tomorrow's faith Friday. So Monday, we'll do verse 14.
All right. And probably we'll do 14 through 19 on Monday, and then 20 through 27 on Tuesday,
and then Wednesday we're on to chapter 5.
Amen. Alright. So we are on our way through the Book of Proverbs here.
We appreciate you joining us today on this Thursday edition of Morning Manna. And as
I mentioned earlier, beginning of our time together, we have students from all over the world
that join us for this time of fellowship
and learning from the Word.
We're a church, Faith and Values Fellowship
based in Vero Beach, Florida,
but really scattered globally.
That's our church.
And so it's strange how the Lord has done this
and worked this work in this ministry the way he
has and yet here we are. We're a fellowship of believers that's scattered,
dispersed rather, not scattered. Scattered sounds like it. There's no plan
to it, but dispersed throughout the world and we appreciate you being here each
and every weekday learning from the Word And we would also appreciate if you let others know about it too.
We restream this on currently on True News each day at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
So that's a great way to share it, especially to people that are familiar more with True
News side of things than other aspects of our ministry.
But we're also on various social media platforms too,
such as Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Rumble, Twitter,
or X, whatever we're calling it nowadays.
And so there's lots of opportunities
for you to share this content and share this teaching.
And we get emails from people every day
saying how much they appreciate Morning Manna and the Ministry of Faith and Values Fellowship.
And we say thank you for that appreciation.
And we also appreciate your financial support
and your continuing commitment to seeing
that this ministry continues.
Rick, any final words for a close out for today?
Just a second.
Let's all of us pray for President Donald Trump.
He needs wisdom because there are influential people
pressuring him to do something foolish.
And he needs wisdom because a lot of lives are going to depend on decisions he's going to make in the next probably 72 hours or so.
So just pray that he, God speaks to him and that he's able to overcome voices, pushing him to do something that's not going to be wise.
Yes. All right.
On that note, just a reminder tomorrow is Faith Friday.
It's also the day that we recognize the Lord's Supper,
and we invite you to be a participant in that as well.
You can participate with that with either with bread and
either red wine or grape juice, either one. Uh, and who's it for? It's for
anyone that confesses Jesus Christ to savior and been baptized in water
according to scripture. And if you meet those qualifications, you meet
qualifications of the Lord's table in our view. And so we invite you to
participate in the Lord's Supper
tomorrow with us. We would be privileged to have you there on behalf of the
ministry here on behalf of Rick and all of us. We love you very much. God bless
you and we'll see you on the Friday edition of morning man. God bless you.
Take care. See you tomorrow. Bye bye.
