TRUNEWS with Rick Wiles - Morning Manna - June 5, 2025 - Proverbs 2:18-22 - Walk in the Way of Good Men
Episode Date: June 5, 2025In this Thursday edition of Morning Manna, the study of Proverbs Chapter 2 concludes with a sobering contrast between the paths of destruction and the path of righteousness. Rick and Doc carefully bre...ak down Proverbs 2:18-22, examining the tragic consequences of following the strange woman’s path of seduction and death, and the hope-filled reward for those who walk in the way of good men. They emphasize the deliberate choices we make each day—whether to pursue wisdom and remain upright or to continue down paths of rebellion that ultimately lead to being cut off from God’s blessings. The teaching brings hope for those who may have stumbled, highlighting God’s mercy and ability to turn our worst days into our best days if we repent and return to Him. Powerful insight is given on God’s justice, His promised land of blessing, and the security He provides to the upright who remain faithful.Rick Wiles, Doc Burkhart. often as you can and let others be blessed by what you're hearing here. We are in Proverbs chapter 2,
on this Thursday edition of Morning Manna.
We are picking back up in our study with wisdom today.
Picking back up at verse 18,
we're in the middle of a warning from wisdom
about the strange woman that flatters.
We're continuing that passage through the end of the chapter here.
So verse 18, for her house inclineth unto death, and her paths are unto the dead.
None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life,
that thou mayest walk in the way of good men and keep the paths of the righteous.
For the upright shall dwell in the land and the perfect shall remain in it, but
the wicked shall be cut off from the earth and transgressors, excuse me,
transgressors shall be rooted out of it. Praise the Lord for his word today. Okay, so our method in Mourning Manna, we
divide each verse into segments. We focus on one segment at a time. We drill down,
extract all the minerals from every segment, and then we put it all together and we have a picture of what that verse is saying.
So we're gonna take verse 18,
"'For her house leads down to death.'"
King James says, "'Inclineth unto death,
"'and her paths unto the dead.'"
Modern English says, "'Her paths to the departed spirits.
Right.
So let's take the first segment,
for her house inclineth unto death.
This gives us an image of a house
that represents a place of false security.
that represents a place of false security.
It leads to death.
Yes.
This woman's house,
when you enter that house,
you're on the pathway to eventual death.
You're on the downhill slide. death. You're on the downhill slide, incline it unto death.
It inclines.
If something inclines, it doesn't drop off.
It tilts.
Right.
You're sliding.
See, it's not a, it's not a, a, a cliff.
It's not like you, you just drop off and fall into the place of the dead.
No, it, it's tilted.
It's sliding.
You're sliding down towards death.
It's a gradual descent.
Small compromises lead to big consequences.
It's a lesson all of us need to learn and then learn it again and learn it again and
because we are as humans prone to make the same mistakes. Her house. It's
teaching us to discern the environments that we enter and to avoid entanglements who will help you slide down a chute to hell.
Yes.
Again, because it's gradual,
the path is inclined.
You're not aware of how far down you're going because the seductive nature of the sin is
very appealing and deceptive.
The second part is and her paths.
Her house inclines unto death and her paths also.
Her path, her paths is plural.
So this portrays the paths of this woman as the course of a person's actions, their lifestyle, the way that they're living.
And again, a warning that the root of sin is seductive.
Satan doesn't put a sign up that says, hey, if you go down this road, you're going to die.
Right. He puts the signs there that appeal to your fleshly desires.
Paths imply habitual patterns.
One step at a time. Yes.
One foot in front of the other.
Yep, that's how it works.
So there is a seductive nature of sinful paths.
Her path speaks of her accountability.
It's not somebody else's path, it's her path.
And then the third segment says unto the dead.
Let's read this whole thing.
For her house inclineth unto death
and her paths unto the dead." Modern English says to the
departed spirits. So this reveals the ultimate destination. Where does this this lead? Where do you get off of this path? At the place of the dead? Yes.
Sin leads to spiritual death and separation from God.
And I think, Doc, what I see in Proverbs is that
persistent, perpetual sexual sin,
and I'm repeating, persistent, perpetual,
continuous sexual sin has a death penalty.
continuous sexual sin has a death penalty.
It says it leads to the place of the departed spirits.
This is the finality of life.
You're with the dead. Right.
You're with the dead. Right. You're with departed spirits. There is hopelessness.
Yes.
No way out. No escape route.
So it has a tragic end.
Again, Satan never tells you that. He never shows beautiful people in the allure of sexual fun and says, hey, guess what?
After you do this, you're going to die.
If you do it often enough, you're going to die.
In God's mercy, there isn't instant death.
What this is teaching is it's a path.
It's a path that goes downward.
A process.
A process.
If you find yourself on that path, get off of that path as quickly as possible.
The Lord will forgive.
The Lord will restore the Lord will restore
He's not interested in you being punished he's interested in you being saved yes
Verse 19
None that go unto her return again
neither take they hold of the paths of life.
Modern English, none who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life.
So this segment, segment one of this verse,
So this segment, segment one of this verse, is emphasizing the seductive woman as a symbol of moral and spiritual corruption and telling people to avoid her path at all costs.
None that go under her. None. Nobody. It this term none, N-O-N-E, none, it's speaking of the warning that no one escapes. Nobody can outsmart
and escape the destructive consequences
of embracing sinful behavior
on a repeated perpetual continuous course.
Remember, this is a path, these are multiple steps, this is an incline going down, down, down, down. And when you get down low enough,
you're in the place of the dead. Everybody is vulnerable, everybody. Everybody is vulnerable.
Okay? These scriptures are written for everybody.
So the focus on those who go under her.
See, go. They go under her.
It's warning about a deliberate choice.
A deliberate choice to go under her.
You made a decision.
Just like in the other Proverbs we read in chapter one,
the fool makes a decision to reject the knowledge of God.
It's a deliberate decision.
The mocker, the scoffer, it's deliberate. They made a decision to reject the wisdom of God.
This time in Proverbs 2, it's talking about going. Going on a path that you
know leads downward to the place of the dead. It's a deliberate choice to sin.
The second part of this is return again.
None that go under her return again.
This indicates that the near impossibility of escaping sin's grip, especially sexual
sin.
Right.
That there's a binding nature of sin and Satan gets his grips on you and it's hard to break free and this is
why it's why the Proverbs is telling us don't even go the first steps right but But if you do snap out of it and run, get out of there.
That the term return is talking about the loss of freedom.
That once Satan's hands get on you, you, you, you have lost your freedom. You cannot return to where you were at
That's a frightening thought
So the verse is warning of the the progressive entrapment of sin
And you just think about a big old bear trap
And you just think about a big old bear trap. And what's what is Satan doing?
He's he's leading you.
He's enticing you.
He's he's baiting you.
Come on.
Come on.
Come on.
Don't don't look at that metallic contraption.
It's nothing, it's not gonna hurt you.
Put your foot in it.
Here, let me measure you for a new pair of shoes.
Put your foot right here.
He's putting you in a trap.
A trap that once a bear trap grabs your leg,
you're not leaving. So This is what it's saying at some point on this inclined path, there will
be a bear trap that's so strong, you can't get free from it without cutting
off your leg. So you'd have to name yourself to get free from it.
It's the loss of freedom,
the inability to escape.
So it's a reminder to everybody, don't even go there. Right. Don't go. And that word go in verse 19 there
is active. It's not just a casual, oh, it just happened we walk along here. No, that had a
purposeful direction to it. Yes. You decided I'm going to that strange woman's place. I'm going to that house.
I don't mean that literally, but it could be literally.
It's a direction, you have made a decision
to walk in that direction.
At least in your mind, you're on your way to that house.
Yes.
And then the last part is,
neither take they hold of the paths of life.
part is, neither take they hold of the paths of life. So, none that go under her return again,
neither take they hold of the paths of life.
So, this segment is a contrast. It contrasts the path of life with the path of the seductive woman.
Neither take they hold of the paths of life, it's plural.
So it's speaking about the tragic outcome
of persistent sin that you will eventually
be entrapped.
So the paths of life represent a flourishing existence in the presence of the Lord,
the paths of life.
And so the focus here is on not taking hold or attaining.
Attaining suggests a missed opportunity. Right.
Verse 20.
This may be a short lesson today.
Some of these lessons take a long time, and some of them go by pretty fast. Verse 20, that thou mayest walk in
the way of good men and keep the paths of the righteous. All right let's break
it up. I got three parts here. Part one, that thou mayest walk, that you may walk.
A walking is an active activity.
You have to move, you have to make your feet move.
You've chosen to walk. Your brain sends a message. The boss wants to walk. Right. The boss being
your will. So the will notifies the brain. Tell the legs to move. I desire to walk. See,
this is a deliberate action. It wasn't a magnet pulling you in. The devil didn't make you do it. The
devil didn't make you do it. You did it. It's an active ongoing choice to walk because when you're
walking you can always stop and turn around. Right you can choose a different path too. Yes.
You can go you know what I read in the book of Proverbs,
this leads to death. I'm turning around.
I'm not going here. Maybe you started walking.
Maybe you got there halfway there.
And you snapped out of it and said, what am I doing?
What on earth am I doing? I got to get out of here.
I got to turn around. I got to go.
That's a decision also
That you may walk that means
The purpose of wisdom's guidance, okay, so this is talking about you may walk in the way of good men
And keep the paths of the righteous.
Yes, good men and women, righteous men and women,
sometimes get going in the wrong direction
and they have to make a decision.
I've gotten off the right road.
I gotta turn around.
I have to get back to the right path
Mayas or may that speaks of a hopeful possibility that they may
That thou may walk
You may embrace God's wisdom All may walk.
You may embrace God's wisdom.
It's talking about our lifestyle, that the right paths lead to a flourishing existence
with God's favor upon us.
Yes. That they may walk, part two, in the way of good men.
Good men and women are the role models.
We're to seek out and emulate good men and women.
good men and women.
It identifies their path as those who live virtuously,
doing all that they can to live right for God.
The term way,
it's the way of good men, it's plural, not a good man or a good woman, it's plural. Walk in the shared lifestyles of good people.
Adopt their habits.
Pay mind to their habits, their values, their behavior.
Build relationships with people who are walking in the right direction.
Then the third part is, and keep the paths of the righteous.
So this segment uses the word keep to convey the thought of active preservation.
Right.
Again the individual is responsible.
The individual has to choose the path they're going to walk on.
The individual has to actively walk on that path.
And the individual has to actively preserve
the paths of the righteous and keep the paths of the righteous.
Stay to it.
Preserve it.
Keep it.
Maintain a a constant consistent trajectory on that path.
A path of the righteous describes the ways of those who live justly.
And of course this contrasts with the past, the ways of the wicked.
The ways of the wicked lead to death.
Verse 21.
Hey, Doc, do you have anything to jump in here?
Well, no, the only thing I was going to add to it is, so here in chapter 2, you see a big contrast
between verses 16 to 19 and now picked back up here at 18 through 20.
And you see this a lot in Proverbs.
He'll set up one scenario here and then he'll compare another scenario immediately following
it and it's almost like you can loop them, connect the two stories together.
And you see that a lot in progress.
You'll see it over and over again, a pattern that repeats over and over.
It usually starts, here's the warning, here's the blessing.
Here's the warning, here's the blessing. Yes.
Here's the warning, here's the blessing.
Occasionally he flips it around,
gives the blessing first, then the warning.
But most of the time you see that pattern.
When you read Proverbs now, moving forward from here,
you'll see that pattern repeated over and over again.
Now, it's amazing.
God knows how people learn and how people gather information
and how they absorb new information. You can't just have the warning. You can't just have the
blessing. You need both. You need an understanding of both to really understand the full impact of
the choices that you make. And so in this, these verses starting way back
at 16 and now where we're at at this moment, they contrast one another, but it all has to do with
making a decision, a good decision over and over and over again. Our lives are built upon the decisions that we make.
Our lives are built on the decisions that we make.
And every step we take is another decision.
And we have to be responsible for those steps
that we take to make sure that we're on the proper path
and to make sure we're not wandering off on other paths.
So there's the curse of these bad decisions,
but there's also the blessing of good decisions.
Yes, and repeated similar decisions
eventually forms a habit.
Right.
Because you've notified the brain,
I'm gonna continue doing this, let's streamline it.
Yes.
Isn't a habit just a streamlined thinking process?
Yes, that's what it is, a path.
And you know what?
Modern science, neuroscience tells us
that if we make repeated similar decisions
over and over again, that you can actually map grooves in the brain.
Yes. And just as a side note, what drugs do like cocaine and others, is they create false paths in
the brain. And they're real paths, but they're not paths based on acquired habits or knowledge. It's like shortcuts through the brain.
But when you make proper decisions, good decisions, it creates grooves within the
contour of your brain.
So do bad decisions, by the way.
But that's that word paths in here.
Keep the paths of the righteous.
So grooves that you find yourself in, in obeying the
wisdom of God. It becomes a part of your physical being. I mean, that blows my mind that wisdom
actually becomes a part of your physical being. It changes you physically. Isn't that amazing?
Because it rewires the brain. That's right
people who think negatively
Who are always thinking about their problems always thinking everybody is wrong, you know, just negative critical
They they are
their their thoughts are
Producing grooves in their brains.
Yes. And what happens is that they get in that rut
and they can't stop thinking that way.
And you can't get them out of it.
It takes an active job to get them out.
Right, because their brain has become hardwired to that.
But likewise, you can do the same thing with good decisions,
with good wisdom. It does the same thing. Your brain doesn't, your physical brain doesn't
know the difference between a good decision and a bad decision. It doesn't know. It just
knows a decision. And so whether it's a bad decision that you repeat over and over again,
or if it's a good decision, it does
the same thing to your brain.
That's right.
So verse 21, for the upright shall dwell in the land and the perfect shall remain in it.
And there's the reward.
Yes.
So the upright are those who seek to align their lives with God's truth. Again,
they're not sinless upright people, but there are forgiven sinners who God has declared upright, because they have adopted the righteousness of Christ.
It's the righteousness of Christ that's in them.
So when it talks about the upright,
that's who's talking about.
Those who are living to the best of their ability,
they're living to obey God,
and God declares them to be upright, to be righteous.
So what this is telling us, for the upright shall dwell, they shall have stability in their life.
Right. This isn't a temporary place, This is a permanent habitation.
So the upright again refers to people who are
declared righteous by and right standing with God.
And
when we're living in that position, then the Lord can add stability to our lives.
We will dwell in the land.
What is in the land?
This symbolizes God's, it's his promised land for you.
Yes.
I am convinced that every believer has a personalized promised land.
You know, again, all these Zionists that make such a big deal about the Middle East and the Promised Land.
Look, everybody has a Promised Land. Praise God. I don't have to move to
another continent to be in my Promised Land. I just have to live in the kingdom
of God. He has a Promised Land for each of us. And in that promised land are his blessings.
And his blessings include security and prosperity.
You will live safely in the land.
So there's a biblical promise of inheritance
that God's people will inherit a promised land.
And in that land, you will find a place of rest and you will find abundance for your needs. Isn't it so ironic that we don't deliberately pursue worldly gain?
We pursue God and his truth and then worldly gain pursues us.
It just comes on you.
This gets on you. Prosperity, goodness, good health, it just comes and gets
on you. Why? Because you're pursuing God and His kingdom. And then the third part of that and the perfect shall remain in it.
The perfect are those who strive, who earnestly desire
to be completely devoted to God. Yes.
The perfect. Their hearts are perfect.
Does it mean that their lives are perfect? It's their hearts that are perfect. It doesn't mean that their lives are perfect, it's their hearts that are perfect.
Nobody again is sinless. What God is looking for is the condition of the heart.
Do you desire to live righteously for me?
Do you desire to live righteously for me?
So this third part of this verse, it's a promise that God will assure, he will deliver to us an enduring stability in our lives. Your lives will not be unstable.
Your life will become stable and solid
and will remain in it.
You're not gonna be shaken. You're not gonna be moved.
It's not gonna be taken from you.
You will remain in that blessing. Right, it's not to be taken from you. Right. It's the reward for years and
years of steadfast faith. Again, there can be a momentary weakness, but God looks at and we have a very, very planetary weakness.
But God looks at the years of
faith.
See, I believe everybody has a
worst day.
And we can have a worst day cycle in our lives also.
If we don't deal with issues,
we can repeat our worst day cycle.
You know, what's the worst day? When you're at your lowest, when you are just,
You know, what's the worst day when you're at your lowest when you are just You know what, I can do better than this.
This is not my best.
I have failed.
Everybody has those days.
Everybody don't point your finger someone else's.
Oh, man. I saw you in your worst day.
Well, we'll see you in yours one day.
Be compassionate, be merciful.
Love covers a multitude of sins.
So I thought about this earlier this morning, Doc, when praying.
What was Noah's worst day? Wasn't it Noah who was sleeping naked in his tent?
Yeah, and his sons, you know, one of the sons looked on him.
So, fortunately the other two sons covered him up.
That's it.
But the other one gazed at him.
Okay, that's it. That was Noah's worst day.
Got drunk. He got drunk and went to bed naked and his behind saw it saw his his dad naked and drunk that was Noah's worst day
yeah now think this through this is Noah who spent over 100 years building an ark.
This is Noah who spent over 100 years preaching righteousness.
This is Noah who lived a life so good and clean that God said, I'm going to save this
human and his family.
Nobody else. I'm going to do it human and his family. Nobody else.
I'm gonna do it for this guy, Noah.
This is Noah who rode out the worst rainstorm
in the history of the world.
Noah, whose obedience was counted to him for righteousness.
Yeah, that Noah.
And yet.
And yet he had his worst day.
And his son saw him.
But what did the other two sons do? They covered his shame.
Yes.
We don't know what they said in the morning, hey dad.
You were in the juice too much last night.
What was going on in Noah's life at that age, at that time?
We don't know, do we?
What happened?
What happened to this man of righteousness that God said,
I'm going to save you and your family and nobody else on the entire planet?
What happened to him later? He had a bad day. He had his worst day.
Did God kick him out of the kingdom?
Did God say, no, I'm done with you.
What you just did last night, it erased everything you did in that boat
and all the hundred years of preaching,
I just erased it all, I'm done with you, get out.
Did God say that to him?
Noah had his worst day.
him? Noah had his worst day. One son saw him and was shocked, and the other two sons were shocked and said, We've got to cover him up. Which ones did the will of God? The two sons that covered up their father's shame.
That's who.
And God did not disown Noah.
Now if Noah, of all people, if Noah can have a rotten day,
and he's still in the Bible, they still make movies about him. They still trying to find his boat.
And yet he had a bad day.
But it wasn't something he did every day.
That's the difference. It's not something he did every day. He had one bad day. We just, we
don't know what happened, what was going on in his life at that time. But then as I said,
I don't know which day I said it, you know, Jesus, Jesus had a bad day. His worst day was the day he was on the cross, but he made it his best day.
It was his worst day. He's nailed naked on a cross and everybody looking at him and laughing at him
and mocking him. It doesn't get any worse than that that was his worst day but it was also
Satan's best day and it was Satan's best day but before it was over it was
Jesus's best day and Satan's worst day right so here's what I'm saying. You will have a worst day, but if you are truly committed to the
Lord, He'll turn your worst day into your best day. I don't know how He does it. It's
mercy and grace beyond my comprehension. He'll turn
around. He'll turn that situation around and turn your worst day into your best day.
Yes.
It's just him. It's Jesus. And I'll tell you something else. While you're having your worst day, he won't leave you.
Because he's a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
And he'll stay with you.
Never leave you nor forsake you. He wasn't talking about good times there.
There are other people that will kick you.
Hey, he's down, kick him.
Hey, get through his pockets, see if you've got any money.
They'll kick you and take your money.
But Jesus will stay there.
He'll stay there, he will not desert you,
and he'll help you get back up on your feet,
and he'll nurse your wounds
and get you back on the right path.
And never mock you, curse you, make fun of you
or anything for getting off the right path.
Amen.
The perfect shall remain in it.
Remain in the blessings.
The perfect shall remain in it, remain in the blessings. The perfect shall remain in it. For the upright shall dwell, for the upright shall dwell in the land and the perfect
shall remain in it. It doesn't say the perfect and the upright shall always be on the right path.
It says they will remain in the land and they'll dwell in the land and remain in it.
A momentary failure will not get you evicted from the land.
Right. Persistent, deliberate, perpetual disobedience
will get you evicted.
Right.
All right.
Verse 22.
But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth
and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
Transgressors, transgressors shall be rooted out of it."
Transgressors, transgressors, the treacherous. The wicked will be cut off from the land. They can't even get there. They're cut off. There's a barrier. They
can't get in. And if there's any treacherous people there the Lord will root them out
pull them out by the roots and you root something out you got a shovel you're
digging down deep to get the roots get it out so this is talking about God's justice. Yes.
Living a life, a lifetime, consistently.
Again, there will be momentary failures along the way, but a consistent lifestyle means that God will protect you.
But there's a terrible fate waiting the wicked.
So first the upright, they will remain in the land.
They will dwell in the land,
but the wicked will be cut off.
Right.
Here's that contrast you were talking about earlier, Doc.
Yes. There's that contrast you were talking about earlier, Doc. Yes.
There's two payoffs.
The payoff for the righteous is you get to live
and dwell in the land, you'll stay there.
The payoff for the wicked,
you'll be cut off and rooted out.
Again, wicked refers to those who persistently, deliberately oppose God's will, not talking
about a person that has a momentary failure.
It's talking about people who persistently oppose God. What it's saying is that there is a certainty of judgment. Cut off. It means a decisive end.
Irrevocable. Yes.
You've been cut off.
There's no appeal.
Cut off from what?
Segment two of this verse says from the earth, from the land.
Even more than the land, because the land implies the promise.
The earth implies just life in general. You're not only going to miss out on the promise. The earth implies just life in general. You're not only going to miss out on the promise,
you're going to miss out on life. Yes. You will be cut off from the earth. So this signifies God's removal of the wicked from God's promised land of blessings for those who
love Him and serve Him. Perpetual, consistent, persistent sin eventually results in expulsion.
results in expulsion. Yes. The land will vomit you out. The land has a mouth and and blood has a voice and the land will vomit you out. So there's tangible laws, you know, King James says earth, some of the other translations
say land.
I like earth.
But it says this is tangible.
This isn't a real.
Yeah, this is real.
You're talking about the earth.
We're talking about land where you put your feet feet you will be cut off from the place you put
your feet
that's telling us that there are severe consequences of prolonged rebellion against God. When is that cut off? Only God knows and only God has the sovereign right
to decide. And don't you be telling him when to cut somebody off. That's none of your business.
Oh, yeah. You know, some people get, they get very upset with God when God doesn't beat up somebody.
Show them mercy, God.
You did it again.
One more time you did it.
You showed them mercy.
Yep, that's what he does.
That's who he is. And then the
last segment of this, verse 22, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. Rooted out means
eradicated, pulled out of the ground,ed out of the ground and burned.
It's what you do with roots you don't want to grow again.
You gotta get rid of them all.
Yes. You either chop them up and burn them or you just build a big fire. Just throw them in a big fire and burn them.
Yeah. That way you burn the seed, the root, nothing will take hold after a fire.
What it says is that those who, again, consistently, persistently, perpetually, over a long period of time,
They will be rooted out of the earth.
Complete eradication.
This word transgressors, other translations use, treacherous.
Yeah, and sometimes that word is translated in the Old Testament. It's a word that's used in the Old Testament.
It's a word that's used in the Old Testament. This word transgressors, other translations use treacherous.
Yeah, and sometimes that word is translated in the Old Testament as
covenant breakers. And they're one and the same. I mean really.
So there comes a point where God says you have broken the covenant.
You've crossed the line. There's nothing we can do at this point.
You're a transgressor. You're a covenant breaker. You're a deceiver.
And you can't be in the kingdom. You can't dwell in the land, the land of promise, any longer. Throughout the Old Testament, God would refer to Israel
or the Jews as a treacherous wife.
Israel was the bride.
God entered into a marriage with Israel
and he'd say to them, you are a treacherous wife.
You betray your husband.
You're not to be trusted, you're treacherous.
So treachery is a really strong word in the Bible
because it denotes betrayal.
It's one thing to be untrustworthy, but to be a betrayer means that you are
you're dangerous, you're evil.
And so they will be rooted out of the land.
And so they will be rooted out of the land.
Well, Doc, that's my lesson for today.
All right. Proverbs chapter two.
That's right.
Tomorrow?
Yeah.
Tomorrow's Faith Friday,
so be sure to tune in with us there.
And we'll have another faith lesson.
We've finished up talking about some other faith issues last Friday.
We'll be doing a new study tomorrow.
We'll also have the Lord's Supper tomorrow too, so don't forget about that.
We do that live every Friday morning in the eight o'clock hour on faith and values.
I know everybody lives in different time zones and things like that,
but if you can join us for the live celebration of the Lord's Table, we would welcome that.
But no matter when you join us, we invite you to participate in the Lord's Supper.
The bread and either grape juice or red wine will serve for the Lord's table. And who may participate in communion
if you're a confessing believer in Jesus Christ
and you've been baptized in water,
according to the scriptures,
in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
we invite you to participate in the Lord's table
each and every Friday with us, amen?
That's right.
And then next Monday, we'll begin
our study of Proverbs chapter three.
Yes, sir. All right. Any final words for a sign off for today, Rick? All right. Well, thank you so
much for joining us today from all over the world and all over the US and Canada. God bless you. Be
sure to join us tomorrow morning here on Faith and Values for Morning Manna and Faith Friday.
God bless you. We'll see you then.
