Episode Date: October 24, 2025Romans 12:3 calls believers to a radical humility—to reject inflated self-opinion and to think with sober judgment, according to the measure of faith God has given each one. Pride distorts perspecti...ve; faith restores balance. In this Faith Friday edition of Morning Manna, Rick Wiles and Doc Burkhart explore Paul’s command to think soundly, live proportionally, and serve faithfully within the grace allotted by God. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Faith Friday here at Morning Manna. Every Friday we set aside
the day to study faith. We also participate in the Lord's Supper. So we will have Holy Communion
here today, and we invite you to be part of it. Our requirements for you to join us is that you're
born again and you are baptized in water so we encourage you to have bread and your choice of
grape juice or red wine available at the end of today's lesson so faith Friday every
Friday throughout 2025 we have talked about faith Doc last week I started
you know we had a great lesson last week
on Isaiah, what was it, 54-2, you know, stretch your curtains, stretch your fabric, stretch,
stretch your tent, right? And I thought I would be able to build a whole series from this,
but last night as I was preparing for today's lesson, I just could not get a
released from the Holy Spirit that that's where I was supposed to go.
And so I began just, Lord, where are we?
What are we doing?
What's the plan beginning today?
And he actually laid out an awesome plan that will take us throughout the rest of the year.
Take us right up to the end of December on faith.
The basics of faith.
Now, I'll tell you, our Faith Friday lessons may be shorter.
than normal because I feel like I'm not supposed to crunch so much stuff into one lesson,
but space it out and take us out to the end of December.
So we may be shorter today than our normal lesson of one hour.
And that leads me to a major announcement.
You're ready.
which I promised yesterday.
I want to give glory to God.
I want to praise him for something that he did.
Last week, I signed contracts for us to produce morning manna, five days a week,
for national television in the United States on DirecTV,
television throughout Europe, Great Britain, Scotland, Ireland, and a good person of Western Europe.
So we will be on direct TV in the United States.
We will be on Sky TV in Europe.
And we will be on, I think it's D TV.
in Africa
which covers
40 African nations
and this
this starts
in early February
2026
and it's a
five year commitment
we got work for five years
how about that
I'm 72
and I can't retire for five more
years because the Lord just
blessed us he just supersized this ministry right and so the africa is uh dstv so d s yes yes yes tv in africa
ds tv covering south the southern portion of africa 40 nations um on the african continent again
great britain scotland ireland and western europe on sky tv
and the United States on direct TV it starts in early February 2026 and it is just mind-boggling the ink is dry dog yes the contracts are signed
this done deal folks this is for real that's why I've been telling you hinting for months some really big things are are
are underway, and the Lord is stretching my faith and we're being transitioned.
He's downsized us so he could upsize us.
He pruned us so we could blossom.
And, you know, you're right, Glenn.
You want to hear the greatest, well, I'll say the great.
You want to hear the amazing thing?
this airtime is not going to cost us one dollar five years of international television five years
the contract expires January 31st 2031
what does that take us up to the lord said build it by 2030 and again here he he did it again
he confirmed it all right january 31st 231 is one month after the end of 2030 and he told me years
ago build it build it by 2030 and
what was the it it took me years to figure this out um and and and and then to finally refine it
i knew that years ago he said there's coming a day i'm going to put you back into a business
suit and some people are going to criticize you and say that you quit the ministry and you
went back in the business but don't don't listen to them you just follow my instructions
Well, last year, when I was in Myrtle Beach for a week of prayer, the Lord said the time has come for you to be a businessman.
And I'm appointing you as a bisonary.
I'm like, I grin, I remember, I say, Lord, what's a bisonary?
And he says, that's a missionary in business.
That's a missionary in the business world.
and so I'm telling you right now that the Lord has released me to go forth as a business
into the world that this will be international right I don't see the full picture doc I just know he's
saying I'm sending you internationally as a visionary you're going to represent me in the
business world so
this and this is an opportunity wouldn't have existed if we were still doing true news that's right see
i had to give up true news i had to put true news on the altar for this miracle to happen so
the people who criticized me and i'm not angry at them i understand a lot of people said i
disappointed them i understand it hurt it hurt me but i understood their disappointment but i's like lord
how long until they see why you told me to retire true news well here we are and the door has opened
and look i'm going to tell you something and he's doing something and he's doing
it with all of us in this class he is working on our hearts our attitudes he's remodeling us he's
doing open heart surgery on us he's doing therapy on us all of us to get us ready for the next
phase
yes
each one of us
God has to do things
in our hearts in order
to prepare us for the next position
and I know it's happening to many
of you maybe all of you
so
I know Chad
I'm well aware of it
I've thought about it
the Lord told me in
1999
he said I will give you
an audience before judgment
an audience on television before judgment
and I tried
several times
to go on television
and failed each time
and
just didn't understand it
But it wasn't a time.
It wasn't a time.
It wasn't God's time.
This is God's time.
He opened a door, and he did it in a way that we're not even going to be under stress to pay for this.
It is absolutely amazing.
It is God's favor, his blessing upon us.
So you're the first to hear it.
I desired you to know about it first
because this morning manna class you're the core
you are absolutely the core of this ministry right now
well Pam you don't need direct TV
you have us right here
you're watching it okay
so there will be some changes
when we get into January
there will be changes in the way
that we produce this class we're still going to meet yes nothing's going to change i mean we're
still going to meet but what you're going to be watching is you're going to be watching the
production of a television show so i i want you to think about see yourself as being in the
audience of it in a tv studio that you're going to be you're going to be observing a television show being
produced in real time you're going to be our live online studio audience that's right so no marsha i'm
not wearing a suit i'm done i'm done with suits i'm done unless god orders me to do it it it would
have to be an order we actually had a conversation about suit yesterday yeah i've already
i've already thought about it i changed my mind all right me too then yeah good goodness
I'm done with suits and ties.
I'll wear them when I have to if I have to go into a business bean.
But, Doc, I see Jamie Diamond in jeans.
You know, the CEO of the world's biggest bank.
And he's at a place in his life where he's like, I don't care.
I'm just wearing blue jeans.
You know, it hit me last night.
And I left the TV on after the local news.
and the network TV news came on.
David Muir is on there, just a suit jacket and a shirt, no tie.
I got to thinking, when did that change?
When did that change?
But that's another aside.
But there are changes that are happening here, folks,
and new opportunities that are coming down the pike.
And it's really the Lord that's doing this to allow us the opportunity
to be able to be able to.
to share the gospel in ways that we never would have imagined six or 12 months ago.
Bonnie said, I only have an old iPhone, no cable TV.
It's okay, Bonnie.
Nothing's going to change for you.
If you're watching us now, you'll still be able to watch it.
It's going to continue.
We're going to be here every day, just like we have been.
The only thing is that we're going to, you know, we're going to adjust how we produce this class
so that there is less editing to get it ready for television that's the only difference okay
because television requires a certain uh certain parameters certain format uh that is going to require
editing but you are an important part of this uh of this morning manna class and we never want to
diminish that we want you to be able to participate and continue to uh grow and like you have been
We might go back over some material that we've done before in the past.
We might redo some lessons that we've done in the past,
but it'll all still be fresh because we'll get new insights
as we study these things again.
And we're going to have a new look.
Our present studios are going to change.
Yeah, and you'll see some of those changes over the next,
really over the next few weeks.
weeks and first of changes and i'm just going to go ahead and tell you because you're here
and you you you you deserve to know because you've been with me for so long our studios will be
a i you're going to be you're going to be shocked at what we can do with
AI video we we we can create highly professional looking studio sets and doc and I can be still sitting in the same chair we're in right now and you will not know the difference the only reason you'll know is because I told you right we're not going to tell anybody else we told you right all right but
AI is revolutionizing media.
And you no longer need expensive buildings, studios, lights, trusses with lights on them, big cameras, tripods.
You don't need it anymore.
You can have an AI built studio and just be sitting anywhere you want to be in the world.
I mean, Doc, you see how Kevin O'Leary does his interviews.
Yes.
And his pajamas.
Yeah, he's, he may be wearing a suit jacket, but he's wearing pajama pants.
And he takes that jacket off as he gets all that interview, you know, so it's a new day, a new world.
Okay, let's go ahead and start our class.
Almighty God, Father, Father, we thank you for this day.
we thank you for the blessings you're bestowing on this ministry.
Father, you know every day, Father, I pray for your grace and blessings and goodness
to be upon the people who support Doc and me and Morning Manna.
We ask you to cover them with grace, shine your face upon them, bless them with goodness,
and happiness and joy.
and peace and prosperity and good health so father i i thank you for the tremendous blessing that you are
giving morning manna the tremendous expansion you're giving morning manna and i pray father that
this blessing extend to every person in this morning manna class who prays for us supports us
helps us, is identified with us.
Let the same blessings come upon them.
Expand their borders, Father.
Expand their borders.
Stretch their tents.
Move their tent pegs, Father.
Bring increase to them, Father.
Bless them.
We thank you, Father.
We ask the Holy Spirit to guide and lead us
and inspire us to understand your word today.
In the name of Jesus, amen.
Well, Dr. I guess I should tell you where we're at. Romans 12, verse, one verse. Romans 12, verse three.
All right, let me get turned there real quick here.
I'm sorry. I didn't tell that to you.
All right. Well, everybody, thank you for joining us today. You've gotten some great things to pray about now and to be in meditation about as we move forward here.
We haven't been able to share everything with you because a lot of things have been changing.
over the past few months and there were some things that need to be finalized
before we could make an announcement we've known about this for a while but you
have to cross every T and dot every I to make sure that everything is going to go
off as you planned or rather as the Lord's planned and so we appreciate your
continued prayers and I'm just imagining that we're going to be on all over
the world not just in Africa and Europe and across the US but in Asia and the
Middle East. I'm just believing God for him to take us everywhere. Because I believe that when God
has blessed us, he's going to bless the network that we're on and expand it. And so Roman chapter 12,
verse 3. And if you're there, by the way, at the end of our lesson today, we'll be doing the
Lord's Supper. So be prepared for that at the end of our lesson today. Roman chapter 12, verse 3,
before I say, to the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you.
Not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, according
as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Praise God.
The Aramaic Peshida translation says, I say by the grace that is given to me to everyone who
who is among you that no one should think of himself beyond what is right to think but that he should
think with moderation according to the measure of faith which god has distributed to every man
and of course the word man here means humans male and female god made man is the species
Hebrews 11 verse 6 and we've talked about this verse many times in the past
Hebrews 11 verse 6 says but without faith it is impossible to please him
for he that comes to God must believe that he is
and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him
So the Bible tells us that God is pleased with faith.
He's pleased by faith.
In fact, he's so pleased by faith that without it, you can't please him.
That would tell me I should learn all I can about faith.
If I desire to please my Heavenly Father,
I mean, this is the foundation, faith.
It is impossible to please him without faith.
Well, are you, is somebody calling themselves a Christian
who is not trying to please God?
No, we're trying to please him.
And he tells us,
the only way to please him is with faith faith has to be mixed in has to be wrapped around inside
anything we're doing talking about everything it's got to have faith that's how important it is
we don't just stop and go well the only thing we got left to do now is pray in faith no that's
that's not if you're at that point you just waste a lot of energy doing your own thing trying to
solve something faith has to be involved in everything that we do right in all the words that
we speak don't let words come out of your mouth that contradict faith if god gives us
the words of our mouth are you happy with what you're getting
see we have faith in our words whether we know it or not that's why we speak it
might be negative faith but we have faith in our words
how the abundance of the heart the mouth speak it's right and we speak what we
believe so before we can talk about
increasing faith we have to first understand where it begins if i if god expects me to use faith to please
him and jesus clearly told us to increase our faith he never condemned anybody for little
faith. He did condemn, criticize people for no faith, for unbelief, unbelief, and no faith
are the same. But he never, he never condemned anybody for having little faith. He worked with
little faith. He goes, okay, you got enough faith for me to work with. I'll do a miracle with
that. But it's always encouraging me, increase your faith.
so if the if the lord says you can't please me without faith and you should increase your faith
then we have to figure out where did we get faith to start with just where did you pick it up
when did faith first come into you right it's a great question yes
so faith is not a man or woman's achievement accomplishment acquisition faith is god's gift it is
god's allotment to you faith is a divine gift not a human achievement
faith is measured and managed by God's grace
faith produces humility not pride
so our verse today
Romans 123
for I say through the grace
given unto me to every man that is among you not to think of himself more highly than he
ought to think but to think soberly according as god hath dealt to every man the measure of faith
the word dealt be the greek word means to distribute to assign to a portion
I deal out to each person in this class something.
Okay, I'm assigning, I'm distributing, I'm apportioning it.
That's how you deal.
I mean, in a card game, there's a dealer, right?
Handing out the cards.
Why do we call that person a dealer?
because he or she is distributing a signing here you get this one you get this one so faith
originates not in your mind in your intellect but it comes to you through God's grace
once again we see this principle
that we are incapable of doing anything right on our own
right
and whatever we do right for God
he first gave us through grace
the mechanism
the method the way to do it
it's his grace
this is why i i like talking about miracle money
because when people say to me well rick i would like to support your ministry but i don't
have any money i don't that's okay i got a solution that's okay i get it i understand
i got a solution what miracle money what do you mean miracle money ask
God for money. He gives seed to the sower. You can't give to God unless he first gives you seed to give to him.
That's right. He's always got one up on you. You're never going to have one on top of him. You're never going to say, hey, I gave it. I did it. Okay. No, I was going to say, no, I gave you the seed to give to me.
God gives each of us
faith. He deals it
out to each
person, a measure
of faith.
So
just as Paul's ministry
was through grace given,
so
faith itself
is grace imparted.
The measure
of faith is not,
self-generated it's not through our confidence but it's spirit given trust in God God
looks at us and says as poor pitiful pitiful humans they're in a lost state he gives us
faith to get saved yes you can't even get saved on your own
This is why these people who turn down the Holy Spirit say, oh, I understand.
I got to get saved someday.
I'll do it later.
Oh, no, you don't understand the way it works.
You're being visited by Holy Spirit.
Now he's giving you faith to be saved.
Without his gift of faith to be saved, you can't be saved.
You're not going to choose the day and the hour of the year that you're going to get saved.
He chooses it.
and he gives you the faith to be saved that's right you can't generate yourself that's right
he gives you the faith to receive the grace god is saying you poor pitiful man you poor
pitiful woman you're lost you're separated from me you need grace you need grace
to you can be saved by grace but you don't even have a faith to receive the grace so i'm going to
give you the faith to receive the grace to receive the salvation the whole process is a gift from
god right and before you think too hard about that just by faith receive it
doc that's it really is profound what you said we can't comprehend it we
we can't think our way to faith either we receive it by faith
when i start thinking about my heavenly father's magnificence
my brain locks up like how can how could you be a being
without a beginning and an end how could that be how can somebody just exist without a
beginning you weren't born what was before you nothing just you you see you start
thinking about God you come to the place you say you know what I just have to
believe it by faith I just have to believe his magnificence by faith I can't
understand it. I can't comprehend it.
That's why I love him so much.
It's why I reverence him, because he's awesome.
When do we receive this faith?
Well, he gives us faith to be saved.
There's enough faith in us to be saved.
doc and you correct me doc if i if i don't have my theology right on this because this is a thin line
here he gives us faith to be saved and then he imparts to us at salvation a measure of faith
well how does that work tell me but romans 123 says he gives to every man every man every man
man, a measure of faith. And so every person is without excuse in saying, well, I don't have
faith. God has already given the faith to you. Every single person. So every person has received
a measure of faith. However, at salvation, the scripture goes on to say that we're given the
gift of faith. Okay, there you go. Thank you. There's a measure. And then there's a gift. Thank you.
that explains it because I'm I was trying to to verbalize how you know we have enough faith to be
saved and yet there's there's more faith that comes at salvation so one is a measure and the
other is a gift right so if every man is given a measure faith I've heard excuses why I can't
believe God because I have a sin nature or I inherited Adam's sin or whatever so they use that as
excuse but you're without excuse because god is also given to every man a measure of faith
in order to overcome that sin by responding to god so you are without excuse you can't say well
the devil made me do it or my sin nature made me do it no you had the opportunity because god himself
gifted you the faith to get you to that saving place good that clarifies it
That's why I have Doc here.
There's some purpose for Doc.
I think we'll figure it out.
That's right.
So every man and woman is given a measure of faith so that we can be saved.
And then when we are saved, we're given a gift of faith.
And the gift of faith is sufficient for that person's calling in life.
right is there a diversity of faith is one faith the same with everybody or is there a diversity of faith? Is there a diversity of faith?
If we don't know the answer we'll just ponder on it. Is there a diversity
in the measurement of faith, in the gift of faith.
Is the amount of faith God gives people at salvation different?
What do you think about that, Doc?
Well, I don't know if we have enough from the scripture to necessarily tell us
because it says a measure, but it doesn't tell us what that measure is
and whether that measure is an individual measure or a general measure.
But whether it's a general measure or an individual measure,
it's still the measure that's given by God to bring us to saving faith.
Yes.
Because there's a saving faith,
and then there's the walk of faith that occurs after we respond to the salvation message.
And so obviously there's a diversity of faith.
seems like God gives a gift of faith in larger degrees to some than to others, but it's always
the appropriate amount that we need. Yes. The main message that we have here. And we can
grow in faith, too, the Bible said. So it's not just a one-off experience, but that it's something
that can be developed over a period of time. Well, Doc, that's the theme of these
lessons that we're going to embark on today through November, December, is that each of us
is given faith. It's a gift from God. And then it becomes a responsibility to enlarge it.
Right. The disciples ask Jesus increase our faith. They realize they lacked it. So they asked Jesus, increase our faith. Paul tells us,
earlier in Romans, that Abraham grew strong in faith.
In other words, there was a time he wasn't strong in faith, but grew strong in faith.
So there's obviously a distinguishing between faith at one period of time in our life
and another period of time.
And it's a result of acting on faith.
So the believer does not create faith, he or she,
cultivates what God has already planted in them.
That's the message we're trying to get across here today
and the lessons coming in the weeks ahead.
Faith is a gift,
a gift that comes with a responsibility to enlarge it,
to protect it,
steward it, increase it, enlarge it,
We did not create the faith, we don't manufacture the faith, it has nothing to do with our abilities, it's a gift.
Our responsibility is to enlarge the faith that is given to us.
That's why you can see two people, let's say husband and wife.
try to put in context here
they both get saved
approximately the same time
but as the years go by
one
spouse has little faith
the other one has great faith
right why
because
the one with little faith
did not exercise
his or her
spirit to
large increase the faith right and the other one did incrementally over years the one that has
much greater faith didn't just wake up one day with great faith he or she cultivated the faith
but but there was a starting place for faith that measure faith out here in
romans 123 and there's a that measure of faith that brings us to a saving not
saving knowledge of Christ when we act on.
Ephesians says,
for by grace, are you saved through faith?
And this is not something you do.
This is not if you're doing.
It's the gift of God, the gift of God.
And Philippian says, it's been granted to you to believe in him by faith.
And so there it, they're, well without excuse.
We can't say, if I don't have faith to believe.
No, God's given you the faith to.
believe even if you don't perceive in your own ability God is still given you so
we know that faith is you can measure faith like we see in 12 3 we know that
faith is a gift we know faith grows we know faith works show me you know because
the scripture also teach you if you're you know you can't say that you can just
exist by faith alone there's
There's an action that's involved.
There's works involved.
There's something that's manifested in something that you do.
And so there's the enduring faith.
And so faith is not just, I know I've said it once before,
it's not just a one-off event in our life.
No, it's something that is a continue,
it's the vitality of our life, of our Christian life,
it's faith.
Yes.
so doctor the measure of faith
is it the same amount for each person
or
does God give people more faith
in this measure of faith
does he give some more faith than others
they're all given faith
everybody's given faith
and these aren't trick questions
I'm you know I'm trying to think this through myself where you know how is it it an equal
distribution of faith the measure of faith or does God bestow larger amounts of faith on
some people well you know I think there's a solution to this what is it
2 Corinthians chapter 10 verses 13 through 15 yes 13 through 15 he says but we will not boast of
things without our measure but according to the measure of the rule which God hath
distributed to us a measure to reach even unto you for we stretch not ourselves beyond
our measure as though we reach not unto you for we are come as far as to you also in
the preaching of the gospel of Christ, not mostly of things that are our measure, that is of other
men's labors, but having hope when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you
according to our rule abundantly. So Paul seems to imply here that each individual has a different
measure of faith to begin with. I don't know how that works. I don't know why God would give
Rick a certain measure of faith and doc a different measure of faith, whether greater or less,
but according to this passage in second corinth in chapter 10 it seems to imply that yes but god and his
sovereignty knows the the the faith that we need to bring us to a saving faith so doc the the old
commentators that i studied for this lesson they taught that god gives faith in proportion to the
task he calls each believer to perform in their lives. Right. So that means different people receive
different measures of faith. Yes. I think it's sort of like my grandma baking biscuits in the
summer and winter. I'll tell you what I mean by that. All right. I want to hear the biscuit
analogy. My grandmother would make biscuits a different way in the hot human summer.
than she would in the cold, dry winters because humidity impacted how the biscuits would rise.
And so she would change the measure of the ingredients that she put in her biscuits in the summer
than she did in the winter.
But the circumstances of the environment that she was making the biscuits in, in the case of the
summer, it was hot and humid, whereas in the winter it was dry and cold.
hold required a different, if you will, measure of the ingredients in order to have a successful
biscuit. I think God wants successful biscuits, don't you?
I'm never going to forget this, Doc.
I'm going to go all we do. No, this is, this is a great point that you made, that she had to,
she had to measure differently because of the circumstances.
And the ladies that are in here know what I'm talking about.
If you live in Denver, Denver, Colorado,
and your sister lives in Osawatomie, Kansas,
there's about a 2,000 foot difference in elevation.
You bake things differently in Denver
than you do in Osawatomy, Kansas.
That's true.
That's absolutely true.
What changed?
The environment changed, the time change,
the availability of ingredients changed.
The elevation.
Right.
doesn't mean that there's better biscuits in Denver than there are in Oswotomy,
but, you know, it just means that the circumstances demanded a different set of ingredients.
Maybe that's the way God looks at things.
You know, we talked earlier, I think it was before we even started today,
we talked about that there was, this is a great time to be born in.
Noah, we were born in this time, set aside for this time, not for.
any other time we weren't born in the wild west or medieval times or anything like that we were
born today but god knows the measure of faith we need to live for him today yes not not for the wild
west not for medieval times not for colonial days but for right now the day of AI the day of mass
industrialization the day of advanced technology whereas someone born in another period of time wouldn't
be able to operate with the faith that God had given them.
So, you know, God understands the situation and circumstances far better than we ever could.
For me, that helps to explain why there would be differences in the measure of faith.
So this is a step ahead for me because I always assumed that everyone had the same measure of saving faith.
But according to Paul here in 2 Corinthians 10, that's not the case.
that there's different measures there so uh that's the only way i can think of to explain it rick
doc is a really good point you brought out that god will adjust the measure of faith for the people
born in the last days right that he would he knows that the people living in the last days are going
to face situations that no other Christian ever faced right you know there's a there's a
old hymn we used to sing in church called faith of our fathers yes still remember parts of the
course there we used to hope faith of our fathers because our fathers had great faith our
father you're gonna get my german pride spelling up right now and we always think a previous
generation boy they had such great faith and and everything but you know what god has a faith for us today
that wouldn't have worked in the Depression area,
that wouldn't have worked during World War II,
that wouldn't have worked anywhere else.
God has a measure of faith for us today.
Praise God, I'm getting excited now.
Now you're, I'm going to go to the bucket and get another dose.
Think about, you know, after the Lord returns,
and the apostles, the great leaders of the church over the centuries say to us,
our generation that came through the final days. What was it like to live in a society with
robots and artificial minds? What was it like? Or what was it like to actually see the
beast system? Yes. We had no idea what we were going to face, you know, in the first century.
But we're going to be able to say glory to God, our
Our father gave us increased measure of faith to deal with it.
Amen.
This is our time.
This is ministering to me.
I'm thinking about the situations and things I see coming.
It's like, God's going to increase our faith to cope with these things.
Praise God.
It takes away a lot of worry and apprehension and anxiety.
the main thing i'm trying to get across today is faith flows from one giver one grace
faith is a gift from god it's dealt differently in different proportions to different believers
but it's one type of faith from one source almighty god delivered through grace
grace is the conduit which delivers the faith to us the faith is the same your faith is no different
than my faith we may have different measures of faith proportions but it's the same ingredients faith
there aren't 10 different kinds of faith there's faith
the measure of faith
determines a person's spear of ministry
and their endurance
in carrying out that ministry
in other words
I don't necessarily have the same faith
of a missionary living in
a foreign land among dangerous tribes because that that requires a different level of faith.
But likewise, Rick, that same missionary couldn't operate in the same realm that you operate in.
Precisely.
Precisely.
And dealing with technology and finance and everything else.
It's a measure, but it's a, you know, still, it's for the environment that we
find ourselves planted in that's right god i'm getting excited now i want more i know i know i
know it this is alleviate alleviating anxiety and and concern that you you you don't have what it takes
to do what god called you to do and you know i'm reminded of the parable of the talents and you've
taught on this numerous times but if when you relate the parable of the talent
to faith. You know, the different servants were given different measures of talents,
but they were all expected to take the measure they were initially given,
even though they had different degrees of talents. They were still expected to take the,
if you will, the measure that was given to them and multiply it. And two of the servants, of course,
multiplied it. But the third one, what did they do with it? They took the measure,
even though it was a very simple measure and they buried it and didn't take advantage of it and remember the condemnation that the lord mentioned in the parable you didn't even put it in the bank to draw interest that's right you didn't even you didn't even let your faith just kind of get out in the sunshine and air out a little bit no you just buried it you refused you you didn't believe my in my gift
you refuse to believe in my gift.
Oh man, I'm getting ready to preach here today.
I'm ready to have an altar call and the choir saying.
This is exciting today, Rick.
Doc, the second part of Romans 123,
also for I say, through the grace given unto me,
to every man that is among you,
here it is not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think but to think soberly
according as god hath dealt to every man the measure of faith let's spend the remaining minutes
before we go to the lord's table to talk about not to think of yourself more highly than you
should think but to think soberly what does this have to do with faith
faith produces humility not arrogance it makes the believer sober not superior
i cringe when you don't see it too much in recent years seems like the lord has removed a lot
of these performers from of a public arena.
But you used to see on Christian television,
you'd see these men just strutting their stuff.
Look at my faith.
Look how great my faith is.
And they'd create a magnificent opening to their television program,
The Man of Faith, okay?
Like he is the only man has faith.
like you can only get your prayer answered if you if he touches your head they build up the
faith of that man when i see that stuff they're like oh that's oh i'm not going to say what it is
people with great faith are humble yeah they don't have to strut do they do you think
apostle paul had a choreographed opening before he stepped out of
in front of a crowd.
Did they have a spotlight?
And now we bring to you the man
who is closer to God than any other person on earth
or talking about the Apostle Paul.
Stand up and cheer for Apostle Paul.
No, that's not how he was introduced.
He was humble.
The more faith you have,
more humility you have you know why because you know the faith comes from the great god right
god gives a measure not a monopoly good that's a keeper doc that's a keeper
pride is the counterfeit of faith right and what happened why because pride
Dr. Pride is a counterfeit because it's trusting in self.
Self-love, yes.
And then what pride does is it compares.
Well, your faith is this, but my faith is this.
Or his faith is this, and my faith is this.
And really, when we minimize our faith, we're operating in pride too
because we want to compare ourselves to the other guy.
we should just be satisfied with the measure that God has given us.
Man, I'm learning a lot today.
I wasn't prepared to learn so much today.
I know.
It's a good, yeah, I'm learning too, Doc.
This is a good, praise God.
This lesson came together early this morning.
I went to bed last night saying my plan to continue that series of
we had last week it's not working and just didn't fill an anointing on it it's like it's not
working i've i finally said lord i'm tired i'm sleepy i'm i'm just going to go to bed and when i get up
in the morning i believe you're going to give me the plan oh see has faith as faith as faith to go
to bed not having a lesson and this great this concept of this great faith of individuals
you know in verse three here it says great through the grace given through the grace given
you know it's not even yours yes it's given to you as a steward grace is given faith is given
salvation is given life is given it's all a gift from the great giver
And verse four goes on to say, for as we have many members in one body and all members have not the same office.
In other words, hey, we're all part of this body.
And each member of the body has a different function, if you will, a different measure based on what they do.
That's right.
And you are to stay in your lane until the Lord moves you into another lane.
And then down in verse 6, Rick, I think we've got the answer to our question here.
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us,
whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith.
Yes.
Proportion, a different measure.
It takes some pressure off, doesn't it?
It does.
You know, when I said a moment ago, Doc, grace is a good.
gift. Faith is a gift. Salvation is a gift. Blessings are a gift. They all come from the great
giver. This is why God is pleased with your giving because you're imitating him. He is the great
giver. He gives and gives and gives. The Bible says God loves a whole. The Bible says God loves a
hilarious giver what is a hilarious giver i is somebody's just like slap happy giving things away
here here you take some here you here take this hilarious here some more oh wait a minute
i got more in my pockets here take it take it take it hilarious i laugh people go look at that
take a guy he's just laughing as he's giving away stuff yeah god loves a hilarious giver
you can be hilarious giving away because you know you're not the source of it the source what you're
giving away comes from the infinite giver who has no bottom to his resources that's why you can be hilarious
giving things away because it doesn't stop it just keeps coming he gives and he gives and he gives and he gives
So humility is the guardian of faith.
It keeps your soul from presumption and pride.
Faith is not self-confident.
It is always God-dependent.
All right, I'm going to go to the commentators, and we'll go to the Lord's Supper.
John Calvin
Now there's a name that most
Modern Christians
What would he know about faith?
He was a Calvinist
Yeah he was he was John Calvin
Calvin
Calvin said
Faith is not a thing
Which we bring of ourselves
But a gift which God bestows
And which he measures out
To each according to his will
Matthew Henry a Presbyterian
Now surely doc Presbyterians don't have faith right
Of course they do
Matthew Henry
Way back there in the 1600s said
We must not think ourselves more highly than God allows
Nor undervalue others
For all that we have
even our faith is of God's distributing.
He goes on to say, the measure of faith is grace given, so boasting is irrational.
Irrational.
I like that.
John Gill, one of the earliest Baptists, said, faith is the gift of God, not of nature.
And though it is in all believers, it is not in all in the same.
degree for it is dealt to every man according to the measure appointed
Charles Simeon
I think I think he was Anglican I'm not sure
simeon said we are to think soberly
recognizing our measure of faith as a sacred trust
not a reason for pride the greater the grace the deeper the humility
Albert Barnes
A certain Presbyterian
The design of God and diversifying the measure of faith
is to prevent self-exaltation
and to maintain dependence on one another
Charles Spurgeon, Reformed Baptist
It is the measure of faith, not the measure of talent
that God values
faith is heaven's
coin
it is all of grace
from mint to use
I don't think I never thought about
faith
like a cryptocurrency
like a
a coin
this is the
this is the currency in which you get things done
you show up at a window
in heaven
asking for something, well, what's you got?
I had some faith here.
Well, how much?
Well, let me lay it out here on the counter.
That's enough.
You got it.
I never thought about faith as a currency.
Alexander McLaren.
The measure of faith is the true measure of a man.
To think soberly is to think faithfully.
to see oneself as grace has made him and no more.
Charles Bridges,
pride is the firstborn of unbelief, humility, the fruit of faith.
The more we depend on grace,
the less we trust our own sufficiency.
Praise God.
All right, so what's the summary here?
Faith, faith source, God gives it.
Faith measure.
God governs it.
face mindset
God humbles us through it
I want to close with these words
faith is heaven's gift
measured by grace
maintained by humility
and multiplied by obedience
there's your keeper
for the day
faith is heaven's gift
measured by grace maintained by your humility and multiplied by your obedience wow take it away doc it's yours
praise god wow what a message today I don't even I'm just sitting here because I'm just trying
to digest everything that we've done it's like
go into a restaurant and you just can't stop eating you're full and you just can't stop eating
because it's so good it just tastes so I want you to know Rick I'm picking up a lot today here
and that's challenging me I am too this is there were parts of this lesson I'm like okay
exactly what does this mean yeah and what a responsibility I have now a responsibility
on the one hand, but then
the pressure is off on the other hand.
That, yes, there's a responsibility to
act on faith, but then
once you act on it,
the pressure's off.
It's almost contradictory
in thought.
Praise God.
Whatever God has given you
to do, he will give you the grace
and the faith to do it.
Praise God.
So don't be afraid.
What do we do?
Step out in faith.
He'll give you the faith to step out in.
Yes.
See, Peter had enough faith to get out of the boat and walk.
His faith imploded when he took his eyes off Jesus,
but Jesus just immediately went to him, took him by his hand,
put him back up, and walked him back to the boat.
walking on water yes i can i can hear jesus whispering in peter's ear peter this is how we do it this is
how we walk on water praise god you know i i i think the there like you were talking about there's
that humility that comes with faith like the the one man that said lord i believe help thou my unbelief
And you truly have faith, you realize how much more faith you need.
Yes.
But folks, God has, he's blessing this ministry.
And in 2026, morning manna is going to expand globally.
Right.
And we'll just, we can't go into all the details right now.
And when we're in a position where we can, we will.
But the reason I believe that God,
is responding to us and helping us out at this point in time is by faith we gave yes we're
we're givers and we're we're faithful we show up there there are ministries that we don't
talk about that we give to that we invest in and there are things that we've blessed others with
that we don't talk about. We don't make it public. We just do it because the Lord's told us to do it.
And I think that's not boasting in saying that. That's just simply saying there are times where
we acted on our faith to give and God has given back to us. That doesn't make us super faith man
or anything like that. It just simply says that God responds to those that.
operate in faith and the more faith you operate in the more you realize man we
need a lot more faith yes doc I believe November and December of this year is are
going to be two months of miraculous supply blessings to God's people those who
have faith to believe it and receive it those who have been faithful
for a long time in doing what God was telling them to do and they've carried out each step
even though their knees are skinned up their elbows are skinned they got cuts on their face
I mean it's not easy but you did it and I really believe November and December is going to be at
a time of divine blessings flowing on a select number of God's people who he prepared to take them
to a new level of serving him.
And I'm telling you that.
I see it coming.
I feel it coming.
I'm anticipating it.
I just know.
And in my spirit, I don't know how it's going to happen.
Don't know how it's going.
I'm just telling you, you're going to see increase in blessing coming to you.
Surprisingly, it's going to show up.
Things are going to happen to you in November and December.
It's going to change your life.
And God is getting his people ready for the things that are coming to this world.
Yes.
Well, we're going to prepare our hearts right now for the Lord's table,
which we also celebrate by.
faith every time we get together by faith if you just cut down and logically thought it out what difference
does it make if you eat some bread and drink some wine what difference does it make well it without faith
it means nothing without faith it's just bread and wine without faith it's just not even a full meal
it's a snack and yet the Lord told us to honor this time together to honor the cup and the loaf
as in remembrance of him what is that remembrance that remembrance is by faith faith in
acknowledging what Christ did for us on the cross faith in acknowledging what Christ is
doing through us right now by faith and by faith believing in a
direction that's coming one day where we'll sit at a table with Christ and celebrate this meal
with him. This is a faith meal. Amen. This is a faith meal that we operate in. And so I want to
encourage you today to receive this meal by faith today. Don't let it just be wrote or religion
or something we're checking off on a checklist or anything like that. But by faith,
today receive the cup receive the bread by faith as the Lord told us to do until
he comes again so Rick would you pray for us right now we have faith but we
need a lot more we we need a lot more he's given us a measure but when you
that measure you look at it and you say you know what I've got space for more
can you give me more I think the Lord
is at waiting for us to ask for more yes sort of like my grandma do you want another biscuit
yes she's waiting for you to say yes praise god would you pray for us rick i will
um in john chapter six jesus said
He that believeth on me
hath everlasting life.
There's faith.
You need faith to believe
on the name of Jesus.
If you have faith in the name of Jesus,
you have everlasting life.
Then he said, I am the bread of life.
Verse 49,
Your father's deed did eat manna
in the wilderness and are dead.
there's manna and this is morning manna he said this is the bread which cometh down from heaven
that a man may eat thereof and not die i am the living bread which came down from heaven if any man
eat of this bread he shall live forever and the bread that i will give is my flesh which i will give
for the life of the world.
Right.
Verse 52, the Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying,
how can this man give us his flesh to eat?
Then Jesus said unto them, verily, verily, I say unto you,
except you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood.
You have no life in you.
Whoso eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life.
and I will raise him up at the last day for my flesh is meat indeed and my blood is drink indeed
he that eats my flesh and drinks my blood dwelleth in me and I in him as the living father
hath sent me and I live by the father so he that eateth me even he shall live by me
this is that bread which came down from heaven not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead he that eateth of this bread shall live forever the manna that gives life so here in this morning manna Bible class we are eating the manna that gives eternal life the flesh and the
blood of Jesus Christ. He is the bread of heaven. Father, we thank you for this manna that you have
given us by grace, the manna being your son. He is the bread of life and we believe it by faith.
He is the Messiah. We believe it by faith. He is the Savior. We believe it by faith. He is God in human flesh. We believe it by faith. He is God in human flesh. We believe it by faith.
faith he lived a sinless life we believe it by faith he was crucified for our sins and died we believe it by
faith he was buried we believe it by faith he was raised from the dead we believe it by faith he
ascended to heaven and is seated at your right hand interceding for us we believe it by faith he is
coming again on clouds of glory to establish his kingdom forever we believe it by faith
and so father we eat his flesh and we drink his blood by faith believing your word
we thank you that you gave us the faith to receive the grace to give us the salvation
through our savior jesus christ father forgive us of our sins wash them away by faith we
believe our sins are forgiven
and that we stand before you sinless right now by faith we believe it in jesus name amen
amen well now as we approach the lord's table by faith today we're going to pray a blessing
over the components of the lord's supper here so if you have bread and either red wine or grape
juice we're going to pray over those those ingredients here in just a moment we've prepared our
hearts. We've asked the Lord to forgive us, and we received by faith that manna from heaven
that gives resurrection life. Almighty God, in your tender mercy, you gave your only begotten
son, Jesus Christ, to suffer death upon the cross for our redemption. He offered himself
and made, once for all time, a perfect and sufficient sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.
He instituted this remembrance of his passion and death, which he commanded us to continue
until he comes again. So, Father, we ask you to bless and sanctify with your Word and Holy Spirit,
these gifts, the bread and wine, that we may partake of this most blessed body and blood.
Christ, our Passover lamb, was sacrificed once for all on the cross.
Therefore, let us keep the feast. Alleluia.
On the night that he was betrayed, our Lord Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it.
and gave it to his disciples saying take eat this is my body which is given for you do this in remembrance of me
the body of our lord jesus christ which is given for you preserve your body and soul to everlasting life
this is the bread of heaven take and eat in remembrance that
Christ died for you.
After supper, Jesus took the cup, and when he'd given thanks, he gave it to them saying,
drink this all of you, for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you,
and for many for the forgiveness of sin.
Whenever you drink it, do this in remembrance of me.
Thank you, Lord. Hallelujah. Glory to God.
The blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, which we should.
shed for you, preserve your body and soul to everlasting life.
Drink the cup of salvation and remembrance that Christ's blood was shed for you
and be thankful. Behold the Lamb of God,
behold Him who takes away the sins of the world, and blessed are those
who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.
This sacrament is the gift of God for the people of God.
Feed on Him by faith with Thanksgiving.
Christ died for you. Glory to God. Amen. Amen. It's a good faith Friday. It is. This is a fantastic
lesson today. I think I'm going to go back through and listen to it myself and I was here.
Praise God. Folks, big changes are coming. Start thanking the Lord in advance for the blessings
he's bringing to you in November and December.
Resources.
You're going to flow into your hands.
That's right.
Miraculous supply.
You're going to increase in November and December.
God's getting you ready for the things that are coming.
Right.
That's the reason.
We don't have to be worried and anxious and troubled about the things that are coming.
He will give us the faith to endure it.
Right.
He'll increase our faith to endure it.
right you know i think about the story of joseph rick by faith he filled up the storehouses of
egypt but he had to bless egypt first to fill up those storehouses for the time of famine
that was coming by faith joseph believed in the abundance provided and the storehouse provided
for the days of trouble to come he was prepared but he prepared by faith
and he had multiple storehouses that's right they didn't have one big storehouse in
cairo that's right they were all over Egypt yes by the way speaking of preparation

praise God all right
Doc before we close
I got to respond to Sunday
she's
she's raised a good point
about AI but I got it
Cindy we're only
using AI to create
the look
of a studio
I'm not going to be AI
Doc's not going to be AI
we're going to be real
okay it's just
we're using new technology to create
a studio
it's no different than a green
screen okay when we were producing true news several years ago when we had a full-size
studio we had a green screen right we were just sitting at a table in front of a
big green wall right right we project that was digital then yes that was the
technology at the time but it was still us we were not virtual
So don't worry, I'm not going to, I'm not, if I had a Rick Wiles AI avatar, I would tell you, I would say, hey, this is not the real me, this is me, I'm not going to do that, okay, but I'm going to use technology that enables me to be efficient without being expensive.
the technology that we had to allow us to do the green screen for years
the software costs $250,000.
Okay, just the software.
That didn't count the studio, the green screen, the lights, everything that we had to put up.
And how many years ago was that, Rick?
Well, we built that in 2017.
All right.
So eight years.
go and now that technology is out of date it's out of dates absolutely tried to sell you a
$250,000 software package for graphics you know you'd say what what's wrong with you why would you do that
right it's it's the same principle here folks and so the technology allows us to do more
with fewer resources and it just it's just wisdom it's just wisdom so
Eric, Eric does not want to see an AI evil doc.
That would be evil.
We were talking about evil doc the other day.
So he all had his own show.
Honestly, that would be a good show, evil doc.
It would be, the format would be, what's the craziest thing you could think of today to explain something?
We'll just see what Doc comes up with.
Okay, that's it.
I have an employee that works for me.
It's called Evil Doc.
He's always dropping suggestions and everything.
So don't worry.
We're not going to be AI avatars.
Right.
All right.
But we're going to use whatever technology we can use to help us advance the gospel.
Praise God.
Until we can't do it anymore.
Okay.
Coach, we just want to preach Jesus.
and if you're going to try to convince me that paul wouldn't use these technology tools today
he walked on roman roads he rode on scrolls uh you know he took advantage of the opportunities
the transportation the uh you know the means to communicate he went to mars hill
i mean he used all the tools and uh all the platforms available to preach the gospel jesus did too
push the boat out yes why so air more people can hear that's all the boat was a
the boat was a platform all right and the water was an amplifier yes so praise
god I'm excited about the future and what the Lord's going to do and you need to be
excited what he's going to do for you too start thanking the Lord for
things that are coming to you in November and December yes okay get ready for it make room
to receive be prepared for it it's coming all right I got to go I'll see you on
Monday God bless you we love you
Thank you.
