Starting point is 00:00:00 Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Morning Manna. Thank you for being here with us today. It's September 11, 2025, and it's a somber day. Things are different. And because of the tragedy that happened yesterday, the political assassination of Charlie Kirk, and that's what it was. It was an assassination. And I'll have more to say about it at the end of today's lesson. I don't want to spend too much time at the beginning of a Bible lesson talking about it. I'll save my remarks to the end of the lesson. We're studying Proverbs chapter 11, verses 17 through 21. Let's pray. Almighty God, Father, Father, we thank you for this day. it is a troubled day here in our nation and we need you father this nation needs you
Starting point is 00:01:06 and that is the message that must go forth father there are sons and daughters of yours who are gathered here because we acknowledge that we need you and we need your son we need your spirit and we need your word and that's why we're here to be taught by your Holy Spirit from your precious word. So we ask from the Holy Spirit's presence that he would take charge of this Bible study
Starting point is 00:01:34 and bring forth wisdom and understanding and revelation in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen. Doc, Chapter 11, verses 17 through 21. Yes, and good morning to everyone. No matter where you are around the world, thank you for praying for our nation and, of course, the anniversary of September 11th,
Starting point is 00:01:55 and as well. And so always the time to pause and reflect on the things that are going on in the world. I believe a new chapter has opened up in our nation today. But we still need the word of God and we still need wisdom. And that's what we're here to study today. And I appreciate the fact that you're here today to continue to study the word no matter what's happening in the world around us. Proverbs chapter 11, starting at verse 17, reading through 21. I'm reading from King James this morning. The merciful man doeth good to his own soul. But he that is cruel
Starting point is 00:02:31 troublet his own flesh. The wicked worketh a deceitful work, but to him that soeth righteousness shall be a sure reward. As righteousness tendeth to life, so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. They that are
Starting point is 00:02:49 of a forward heart are an abomination to the Lord, but such are upright in their way. are his delight. Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished, but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
Starting point is 00:03:07 God bless the reading of his word today. Amen. Amen. Verse 17. The merciful man doeth good to his own soul, but he that is cruel Troubeth his own flesh
Starting point is 00:03:26 Mercy is more than pity It includes compassion Empathy generosity kindness What is empathy Empathy is
Starting point is 00:03:50 putting yourself in the other person's shoes yes trying to understand the other person's situation from their point of view trying to understand what that person has been through and having compassion for them that's mercy a merciful person blesses others but in blessing others he or she blesses themselves it is a it is a win-win principle the merciful man or woman does good to his own or her soul when you are merciful to another person you're actually blessing yourself well and jesus
Starting point is 00:04:48 said that too on sermon on the mountain he said blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy so bless means happy so happy so happy are the merciful so unhappy are the unmerciful do you know somebody who's unhappy he is not merciful the merciful are happy the sermon on the mount says blessed are the merciful bless means happy happy are the merciful an unhappy person is an unmerciful person they can't obtain happiness why they can't show mercy they have unforgiveness bitterness
Starting point is 00:05:51 nastiness and therefore they go through life unhappy but when you are merciful you do good to your own soul why is that because
Starting point is 00:06:07 you you ensure that God will be merciful to you you could go days and months and years and barely tap into your mercy account in heaven but there may be a day it could be five years 10 years ahead it could be next year there may be a day you're going to need all the mercy you can get and you're going to drain down your mercy account in heaven but it'll be sufficient you'll have sufficient mercy and then you just refill it
Starting point is 00:06:47 Amen. It's like, Doc, it's like the strategic reserve of oil. It's there for an emergency. Yes. So you have a strategic reserve of mercy in heaven. What's it there for? An emergency. The emergency is the day you need mercy.
Starting point is 00:07:09 See, you've blessed your own soul. You stored up all this mercy in heaven. By being merciful. other people. You blessed your own soul. And then when the day comes it, you need mercy. You need mercy from men and women, and you need mercy most of all from Almighty God. When your account in heaven is full, there's no problem. You just tap into it. It's like a credit line. You've got a credit line of mercy in heaven. It's when you cry out to God. Oh, God, Jesus Christ, son of God, be merciful to me, have mercy on me a sinner.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Orthodox Christians pray that prayer all day long. Members of the Eastern Orthodox churches, they're taught this from childhood throughout the day. Pray Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner. Amen. And that's the only way we can truly be merciful. It has to be grace given to us by the Lord because there's no mercy in ourselves, is there? There's not any kind of compassion or mercy that we show that generated from the flesh is worthless compared to the mercy that Jesus extends to us. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:36 And if you continuously remind yourself every day that you need his mercy, then it's not hard to be merciful. to somebody else. Unmerciful people are people who either don't know or forget that they need God's mercy. So kindness and mercy and compassion and empathy refreshes the soul of the giver. Proverbs, we're going to get there. This is in chapter 11. It's coming up next week. verse 25
Starting point is 00:09:16 he that watereth shall be watered also himself people that water others with mercy and kindness and goodness never are dry because God will water them now mercy towards other people
Starting point is 00:09:38 builds inner peace and joy amen and sound spiritual and emotional health. Unmerciful people are emotionally ill. They have no peace. They have no, they're not stable. Why?
Starting point is 00:10:05 Because they're not merciful. There's one or more persons in their life that they despise. they have contempt for they hate they refuse to forgive and therefore they have no mercy and because they have no mercy they have no inner peace and joy and they're emotionally sick god bless us the merciful with his favor his goodness his joy his peace why because to be merciful is to imitate God. Micah 7, verse 18, says that God delights in mercy. He delights in it.
Starting point is 00:10:51 It makes him smile. Again, the reason merciful people are happy is because it makes God happy. Amen. It's just that simple. Micah 718, God delights in mercy. Jesus said, happy are the merciful.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Why? Because they're imitating their Heavenly Father. Both are happy. Mercy brings happiness to both God and disciples. Oh, but look at the next part of this. This is, but he that is, Cruel troubleth his own soul. Amen.
Starting point is 00:11:48 The emphasis here is on cruel. It's not the wicked. It's not the sinner. I mean, there's other words that can be put here. But the Holy Spirit chose the word cruel. Cruel. Cruel. Cruelty is hardness of heart. oppressive behavior towards another person
Starting point is 00:12:15 a cruel person says I'm going to hurt you right one definition I saw was the word ruthless ruthless they don't care they don't care how much pain and suffering you go through in fact they thrive on it we're back to narcissism this is their narc supply the more pain that they can put you in the more
Starting point is 00:12:46 disregulation the more narc supply they receive they thrive on your pain why they're cruel god calls them cruel hard heart it Is there somebody in your life who is cruel to you? You need to separate from that person. You've got to get away from a person who is cruel to you because that person is deliberately seeking to inflict emotional pain on you. Because inside them they have no happiness. And the reason they have no happiness is that they have no mercy because the merciful are blessed.
Starting point is 00:13:41 They're happy. You're under no obligation to remain in their presence. Nope. Let them live their life alone in their cruelty. Cruel people. The ironic, the irony of this is a irony of this is a. cruel people so pain for themselves they bring guilt and judgment upon themselves troubling their own pleasure and the more miserable they feel the more they inflict pain
Starting point is 00:14:23 on somebody else yes why because they're too stubborn to repent they're too stubborn to let go of their anger and bitterness and unforgiveness. They won't let go of it. They will not submit to God. They have a sense of entitlement. I am entitled to be mean. Yeah. I am entitled to be hateful. Yes. They have a right to abuse you. Yes, they have that mentality. They will not submit to God. And God says, you do not have any right to be mean, to be cruel, to be hard-hearted. You have no right whatsoever. But they say, I do have that right. They will treat one or two people in ways that they would never treat others.
Starting point is 00:15:26 But they have hatred in their hearts. Yeah. And they don't realize it's going to keep them out of the kingdom of God. Cruelty isolates a person. It eventually turns others against him or her. It brings ruin onto his or her house. Eventually their own cruelty brings the roof down on them. And they end up alone because nobody wants to be around them.
Starting point is 00:16:00 they've created so much strife and division and unhappiness in their lives that just nobody eventually nobody wants to be around them before season could be years they're on a they're on a role man they're inflicting pain on somebody or several people they're wrecking that person's life they're getting away with it and then the table's over and God says now it's your turn you're going to be isolated you are going to be lonely people are going to desert you and they just become more miserable and they end up dying a horrible life of loneliness let's see what the commentators said about this verse charles bridges mercy enriches the soul of him that shows it cruelty tortures the flesh of him that indulges it
Starting point is 00:17:15 see the cruel person is torturing another person but is actually torturing himself or herself because of the misery that they bring into their own lives. And so they keep blaming the other person for their misery. And yet it's their meanness that's causing themselves to be miserable. And they can't see it. And they just keep inflicting pain on other people. Bridges said, selfishness reaps only sorrow. Kindness secures a harvest of peace.
Starting point is 00:18:00 A peace. Yes. Baptist pastor Alexander McLaren Kindness blesses the doer more than the receiver. Cruelty curses the doer more than the victim. Amen. We cannot injure others without injury to ourselves. This is a really good point.
Starting point is 00:18:27 kindness kindness blesses the doer the person who is kind more than the person who receives the kindness but cruelty curses the cruel person more than the victim of the cruelty see the cruel person
Starting point is 00:18:49 doesn't understand that he or she is stabbing himself or herself and then can't figure out why they're so miserable it's that person that person makes me miserable no you're miserable
Starting point is 00:19:08 yes how how is it that somebody else makes you miserable go look in the mirror you're telling me that somebody else has power to make you miserable and mean and hateful no
Starting point is 00:19:23 free church from within yes see they're rotting and decaying on the inside the inside of that person is putrid it's there's rottenness they're rotting on the inside
Starting point is 00:19:44 free church of Scotland pastor William are not passed away in 1875 mercy is medicine to him who exercises it the cruel spirit carries a scorpion in its bosom stinging its own flesh doc here's a book i got i need to get this book he wrote that in a book called laws from heaven for life on earth i got to find a copy of that book Pastor R. F. Horton, that's Robert Foreman Horton, Congregational Church, England. Doc, he delivered the Lyman Beecher lectures at Yale University in 1893.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Back when that school was dedicated to Christ. Yes. In 1898, he was chairman of the the London Congregational Union. In 1903, he was the chairman of the Congregational Union of England and Wales. He participated in 1909, he participated in a prominent way in the 75th anniversary celebration of Hartford Theological Seminary. He said this, here is one of the paradoxes of Proverbs.
Starting point is 00:21:21 In giving we receive, in kindness we gain. But cruelty is suicide, for it troubles the very flesh of its author. Cruel people are committing suicide. Day by day, they're dying. Because they're rotting on the inside. because they're full of this hatred and bitterness towards other people. And they are determined to inflict pain on that person.
Starting point is 00:22:00 To the point that that person breaks, snaps. That's what they're after. They want to break and snap the other person. Cauls them to just completely fall apart. Proverbs 1118, the wicked worth it worketh a deceit for work but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward the world english bible says wicked people earn deceitful wages but one who so's righteousness
Starting point is 00:22:36 reaps a sure reward duck the wicked actually put effort into sin yes they work the wicked work and they get a paycheck for it the wages of sin is death yes the wicked it's a paycheck they they get up every day and they go to work to do a deceitful work they labor at it they put work at it they they put effort into it they're not slouches the wicked are not slouches they're not lazy they work their wickedness but their fruit is false it's deceptive and it's fleeting their wages promise them satisfaction but it brings them emptiness and sorrow and pain it's like counterfeit money they get paid with counterfeit money hey it looks that valuable in payday, but when you go to cash it, it's worthless.
Starting point is 00:23:55 Yeah. And their deceit is double. They deceive themselves, thinking that their sin will profit, and they deceive others by drawing them into their ruination or wrecking somebody else's lives, life. so every work of wickedness contains within it the seed of its own failure what appears to be gained their pleasure their wealth or power whatever they're trying to do it actually becomes a snare and it leads to judgment
Starting point is 00:24:40 but to him that so with righteousness shall be a sure reward this is the contrast we've seen contrast throughout the book of Proverbs so the wicked work a deceitful work but the righteous is the opposite
Starting point is 00:25:06 their work their sewing brings a sure reward it's it's it's like into sowing seed they're steady they're patient they're productive farmers know when they sow and gardeners know that when they sow seed they're eventually going to have a harvest
Starting point is 00:25:33 righteous know the same thing why because they know the principles of the kingdom of god hey if i just keep doing what the word of god says i should do i'm going to harvest a great wonderful harvest it's going to happen how do we know that because god says so and they know that their sowing their righteousness does not necessarily yield immediate fruit but they guarantee a harvest of blessings they're patient the reward is sure It's certain. It's trustworthy. It's promised and guaranteed by God. Remember yesterday we said that Jesus, according to the book of Hebrews, is the, he's the surety of our salvation. He's the collateral of our salvation. He put himself up as collateral for us. the reward of the righteous is peace peace in their conscience it's god's favor god's blessings in this life and ultimately it's eternal life
Starting point is 00:26:51 and that's why the righteous so they give abundantly they're not sparing in their giving they're abundantly giving why because they trust god God, once you get an understanding of it, once the light comes on and you go, you know what, this giving works. Being kind, merciful, and generous, it works because God says it works. Yes. And once you get that in your spirit, you don't want to do anything else. Just keep doing more of it. Matthew Henry, Presbyterian, born 1662.
Starting point is 00:27:43 The gains of sin are a deceitful work. They promise peace and pleasure, but bring trouble and misery. But to him that soweth righteousness, there is a sure reward of comfort and of eternal life. Yes, there is a harvest. Everybody gets a harvest, but the wicked get a deceitful harvest. Charles Bridges, born 1794, the wicket are sowing the wind and they reap the whirlwind.
Starting point is 00:28:13 The righteous, sewing righteousness, have a sure harvest. Every seed sown shall spring up in blessing. Alexander McLaren sin always lies. It promises wages and pays in dust. righteousness never lies its wages are sure because God is just
Starting point is 00:28:37 William are not born 1808 the deceit of sin is its false advertising they had false advertising they had false advertising back in the 1800
Starting point is 00:29:00 he said the deceit of sin is its false advertising pleasure without pain profit without loss but the sowing of righteousness is honest trade sure to yield a harvest more than the seed verse 19 as righteousness tendeth to life so he that pursueth evil pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. The World English Bible says, He who is truly righteous gets life. He who pursues evil gets death. And look at the contrast there.
Starting point is 00:29:49 The righteous tend, as if like a garden, preserving life, reviving it, caring for it, looking to produce something from whereas the evil they're not doing that they're pursuing they're they're always running they're always chasing they're always needing to grab something not tending anything but they work both are working yeah verse 17 said that the the cruel person works they work at their cruelty they put labor into it And the righteous puts labor into life. They tend to life.
Starting point is 00:30:37 So life here, all right, so the righteousness is personified as a path leading to life. And this life includes physical well-being, good health, good emotional health, good mental health. a spiritual health vitality with God your soul is alive and happy and blessed and then life includes the promise of eternal life so righteousness is not merely outward conduct but inward alignment with God's will and his word
Starting point is 00:31:28 again we go back to those the cruel person thinks that he or she is entitled to be contrary to the word of God yeah well I know what the Bible says but yeah there's a there's that but this person deserves my meanness and that's what Jesus said love everybody but he doesn't know this person exactly and he understands why I'm so mean They actually believe they've convinced themselves, they've deceived themselves into thinking that they are justified, even in the eyes of God, they're justified in being mean. God understands why I'm mean to this person. No, he doesn't. No, he doesn't. You don't have the license. You're not entitled to do it. You're not entitled to be cruel.
Starting point is 00:32:25 you're not entitled to name call to shame to humiliate to embarrass to sabotage to isolate you're not entitled to do those things to another person you're not entitled to gaslight them but the reason that the cruel person thinks he or she is entitled to do it is because of pride yes it's their pride they don't see themselves as proud people but they are stubbornly proud and i'm really bullheaded bullheaded stubbornly proud and really isn't pride putting ourselves in the place of god of course yeah that's what it is doc we're saying god i don't need you i'll make
Starting point is 00:33:18 my own decisions god i deserve this Doc, I think it's With some of these people who they go to church They call themselves Christians They try to be religious But they take certain areas of their life And they say I'll be Christian in all these other things
Starting point is 00:33:40 But in this one particular area I'm doing it my way Yeah And they expect God to approve it that's the entitlement the sense of entitlement which is rooted in pride yeah so the fruit of righteousness always brings prosperity flourishing safety blessing peace proverbs we can get to this one chapter 12 verse 28 the way of righteousness is life So he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.
Starting point is 00:34:30 The cruel are not lazy. They work. They work at cruelty. The evil are not lazy. They pursue it. They eagerly run after sin. and their their pursuit of sin ultimately is self-destructive. Death in this verse is both temporal in this life
Starting point is 00:35:04 and its spiritual, it's eternal separation from God. See, evil is deceptive. It promises life, but it pays with death. when you go to the cash window to get your wages of being evil the devil's there and he hands out death bills and you're like hey what's this is your wages no you promise me good things why i lie i'm the devil the devil lies he gets them all the time hey that's not what you promised i know i'm a liar this is the devil's attitude yeah i know i promised you this but i'm a liar i'm the devil you fell for it so in this case people that do evil
Starting point is 00:36:11 when they eventually go to the pay window of life they're paid with death The wages of sin is death. Charles Bridges, Anglican minister, righteousness is the seed of eternal life. Evil is the seed of eternal death. The sinner is not dragged to death, but runs to it with eager pursuit. That's a sad picture in the dock.
Starting point is 00:36:47 They run to it. sinners are not dragged to eternal death they run to it eagerly pursue it baptist alexander mclaran the pursuit of sin is the pursuit of death though men think it is life the one who runs after evil is running into the grave free church of Scotland pastor william are not righteousness is life's root it grows into all forms of blessing sin is death's root the man who chases it is chasing death as his prey and it will seize him at last they that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord but such as are upright in their way are his delight world english bible says those who are perverse in heart are an abomination to yahway but those whose ways are blameless are his delight we've we know by now froward perverse okay they that are of a froward heart okay
Starting point is 00:38:19 uh froward and perverse mean crooked twisted hearts bent away from god's truth again people think that a perverse person a froward person is a person that's a you know just cursing with foul words four letter words that's not what it means it means that their hearts and their minds are twisted right
Starting point is 00:38:51 and they are bent they're bent away from God's word they won't accept the word of God because it's not what they want it's not what they desire when the word tells them to forgive and to be merciful and kind and loving and they say no that person
Starting point is 00:39:18 i hate and despise that person i want that person to hurt and i'm going to do it see they're bent they're bent away from god's truth their minds are twisted and you can't reason with them Doc, yesterday, I was listening to a video by Dr. Les Carter. And he said in that particular video that in his 40 years of being a therapist, whenever he encountered a person who had crossed the line into contempt, scorn for another person. he said in his 40 years he never saw them come back and he was he was saying here here is the line a person crosses but there's no return right now he's he's not saying that he's god he just says in his 40 years as a psychologist he never saw anybody come back once they crossed the
Starting point is 00:40:34 line into contempt and would you agree with that observation in your own life i i would have to i can't think of a single individual in i'm 61 i can't think of a single individual in i can't think of a single individual in my experience that has come back from that no that's i mean that god can't do it it just means in my observation i haven't witnessed it i've had people who have said, Rick, I had some bad thoughts about you. I'm sorry. I said some bad things about you. I didn't understand you. God showed me your heart. I'm okay now. I want you to forgive me.
Starting point is 00:41:19 You're like, okay. But they had not crossed the line into hatred, into contempt, into scorn. I've never had anybody who has hated me, despise me, come back and say, hey, you know, I was hating you there for a while. I really despised your, I just despise just a thought of you. And I'm sorry, I'm over it now. I've never had that. Never, ever have I seen somebody come back from that line.
Starting point is 00:41:55 Don't let that poison get into your heart. apostle paul talks about people who are in the gall of bitterness what's gall is that putrid um liquid in a liver what does a liver do it filters toxins and poisons out of your body And Paul says people who are in bitterness are in the gall of bitterness. They're in, they're swimming around in liver juice. Okay. Does it make it real? God sees more than outward actions.
Starting point is 00:42:57 He sees inner motives. and desires and attitudes. He knows when you hate somebody. He knows it. You can't hide it from God. These people think that they're... I don't know what they're thinking. How can you talk to God about somebody you hate?
Starting point is 00:43:24 And then tell me that God never convicts you and says, you're in sin for hating this person. You're in sin for desiring to hurt this person. You're in sin for inflicting emotional pain on that person. You're in sin for isolating that person. They'll tell you, no, he's never told me those things. Then you're not talking to God. Right. Because your mind is twisted and your thoughts are bent away from
Starting point is 00:43:53 his word. see this this perversity is not morally neutral god calls it an abomination a stench what is the stench the liver fluid the gall he says it's a stench and these people who are angry and bitter and mean towards other people are swimming around in liver liquid. And God says it stinks. It's an abomination. Get that odor away from me. You think you're going to go into the kingdom of God smelling like liver juice?
Starting point is 00:44:47 I mean, God's going to ask you, what's that odor in here? I don't know, Lord. I don't know. There's a foul stench here. There is no foul stench in heaven. They don't have any cans of odor spray. It just doesn't exist. An abomination is whatever God utterly rejects and condemns.
Starting point is 00:45:19 because the heart is the fountain and when it becomes perverse and froward and twisted it corrupts the whole life of that person and then it starts spilling over onto other people and then other people start saying i got to get away from that person because that person's hatred is causing mental anguish in me I'm telling you, if you have somebody in your life who's treating you this way, you're not going to change them. Right. They're not going to come back.
Starting point is 00:45:58 They're just not going to come back. They're too far gone. I'm not saying God can't break them, but they may be severely broken. I mean, severely broken to get them to repent to the lord for the hatred in their heart see god's judgment is is not just against outward wickedness but it's also against inward crookedness but such as are upright in their way are his delight who are the delight of the lord
Starting point is 00:46:45 those whose ways are straight, upright. See, they're not crooked. They're upright. They're standing parallel with the Lord. The wicked, those who hate, those who are unmerciful, those who are cruel, they're crooked. They can't stand upright and look to the Lord because they're crooked. but the upright are upright they're standing straight up
Starting point is 00:47:20 up it doesn't mean they're perfect in their way refers to the consistency of their life not perfection it's a life that is habitually focused on God's will.
Starting point is 00:47:47 Do they sin at times? Yes. Do they make mistakes at times? Yes. Do they become weak? Yes. But God knows their heart. And he'll woo them back to good health. Proverbs says God delights in these people. Not because they're flawless, but because they're faithful. Amen. Their delight, this delight of the Lord, is relational. The upright bring pleasure to God. He rejoices in their walk with him. If you were taking a walk with someone and they were
Starting point is 00:48:41 twist it and crooked and upside down and would you say what's wrong with you i'm i just i'm asking you take a walk with me why you contort it she something's out of place but the righteous are upright they can walk with god along the path of life and their their mind and their way and their hearts are in alignment with God's ways and his heart and his laws, his word. So God delights in the righteous, but he abhors the perverse. He honors those who reflect his character. he takes no pleasure in the sacrifices without righteousness you can do all kinds of good deeds and try to show people hey i'm not as mean as i look but god sees the heart and all those
Starting point is 00:50:07 other good deeds don't mean anything until you deal with the the meanness inside of you. He delights in hearts that are straight, upright with him. John Gill Baptist, men of a froward heart, proud, obstinate, perverse are an abomination to the Lord, but such as are upright, sincere, and plainhearted in their conversation are his delight and pleasure. Methodist Adam Clark born 1762 the perverse heart is an object of God's abhorrence because it is opposite to truth but those who act uprightly plain straight sincere are his delight Alexander McLaren God abhors crookedness because he is truth he delights in uprightness because it is the echoed
Starting point is 00:51:09 of his own character. I like that, Doc. Yes. Your life is to be an echo of God's character. And then Robert Horton, congregational pastor, born 1835, passed away 1934.
Starting point is 00:51:33 God does not delight in offerings or ceremonies, but in upright hearts and lives sincerity is his joy hypocrisy his abomination I better speed it up here verse 20 I just did that one didn't I yes I
Starting point is 00:51:57 I put it in twice verse 21 though hand though hand join in hand the wicked shall not be unpunished but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered world english bible says most certainly the evil man will not be unpunished but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered so let's start with this first part though hand join in hand the wicked shall not be unpunished hand join in hand what is that
Starting point is 00:52:37 It's an alliance. Right. Take my hand. A conspiracy. A conspiracy. It is. It's a conspiracy of the wicked. What's the conspiracy?
Starting point is 00:52:49 I'll support you. You support me. You do your wickedness. I'll do mine, but we'll watch each other's back. Anybody attacks you because of your wickedness, I'll come to your defense. And if somebody attacks me because of my wickedness, you come to my defense. is you come to mind of it's it's a it's a mutual defense treaty of the wicked hand in hand we've made an alliance we've made a bond sinners band together they bond with each other and because for what purpose to
Starting point is 00:53:26 advance our causes of course but they think that by making an alliance they can keep their secrets secret yes and i think they also even from god even from God. Yes. They think that in unity, they can overcome God and escape judgment. Yes. It's kind of the Nimrod mentality. But the Word of God says no agreement, no conspiracy, no union can shield the guilty from justice.
Starting point is 00:54:02 He may allow them to prosper for a season. But their punishment is certain. Their bond, their hand-in-hand bond cannot overturn divine justice. They will go to the pay window, and they will collect their wages, and their wages will be death. But the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. the seed is talking about your offspring your children your grandchildren your great-grandchildren and that includes not only your your your natural born it also includes your spiritual children you should have spiritual children there should be younger people that look up to you as a
Starting point is 00:55:03 a spiritual father, spiritual mother. You should have spiritual children. That's an honor. Amen. That's an honor. Or a spiritual uncle. They look up to you.
Starting point is 00:55:23 You know, I've often told you about my great uncle, Grover, Grover Hall, my grandmother's brother. He was my spiritual uncle. I looked up to him. He was the one shining person in my life. My grandparents were devout Christians, but Uncle Grover took it to another level. And he was blessed.
Starting point is 00:55:50 He was a blessed man. So he had spiritual children, and I'm one of them. And it says, the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. Doc, I believe that there are blessings that have been coming on me for years because of my Uncle Grover's righteousness.
Starting point is 00:56:13 Yeah. You're receiving that inheritance, even to this day. Yes. I believe that prayers that my grandparents prayed for me are still in effect. Prayers don't end. That's right.
Starting point is 00:56:30 The prayers of the saints are in heaven as incense. God is, he's inhaling and smelling the prayers of the saints over thousands of years. The righteous prayers. So I believe that the prayers of my grandparents, great grandparents for their seed I'm receiving it I don't believe those prayers just
Starting point is 00:57:09 evaporate it and that's why you should pray for your children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren because those prayers just keep on going even after you're gone and I think the saints remind the Lord
Starting point is 00:57:25 hey remember that prayer remember that when I prayed in 1852 I didn't rescind that prayer Lord could you just keep it going and bless my my seed
Starting point is 00:57:41 my offspring those who are serving you so deliverance is protection preservation deliverance rescue from danger destruction where you
Starting point is 00:57:55 the seed of the righteous, the children in many generations, generations, God promises to deliver them. This is after you and I are gone. And God will still be keeping his end of the bargain. I promised you in your life when you were righteous and upright and living for me, I promise that I would take care and rescue and deliver your offspring. I believe I have been rescued at times in response to God did it because of my grandparents and great uncles of those who served the Lord.
Starting point is 00:58:49 I remember my great-grandmother, my grandmother's mother. she was a godly woman she this was in the you know I remember her from the 50s and early 60s she passed away sometime in the
Starting point is 00:59:12 I want to say mid 60s some around 65 66 I don't remember the exact date but she still wore the long dress and the bonnet every day. She was from a different age. Born right after the Civil War. But her prayers,
Starting point is 00:59:40 her prayers, she liked me. She was kind to me, Doc. She prayed for me. Her prayers are still in effect. And God says, you know what, I will deliver your great-grandchildren. Did you ever think about this, that you are benefiting from the prayers of your parents and grandparents and great-grandparents? It's not the absence of trials. It is the promise of ultimate deliverance from those trials.
Starting point is 01:00:22 because God is faithful to the covenant he blesses the righteous and their seed which is in Psalm 112 verse 2 but Christ is the seed in whom all deliverance is found let's wrap it up here Alexander McLaren the solidarity of evil men is vain the solidarity of the righteous is mighty for god is their deliver their seeds shall share in their blessing william are not sinners clasp hands thinking themselves safe
Starting point is 01:01:11 but the bond is a rope of sand before the judgment of god the children of the righteous the weak are sheltered beneath their father's shield All right, well, that's it for today. I said at the beginning that, you know, I'd say something about yesterday's tragedy. It was a political assassination. I wish I didn't see the video. horrible he died a terrible violent death this is one of those things doc i don't understand why a young christian man uh was murdered i don't understand it
Starting point is 01:02:07 and even and even yesterday afternoon rick we were receiving emails from people celebrating it oh yes i know we were receiving emails celebrating Yes. I sent out a newsletter and we got responses back from some people saying they were happy that he was dead. I can't believe those people were on our email list. I want them, I want them removed, Doc. Every one of them, I want them removed from our mailing list. This is a sign of the times. People are cold, heartless. Without love. It was a political assassination.
Starting point is 01:02:55 The real intended victim was Donald Trump. Once again, we see a sniper on a rooftop. So this was a reminder of Butler, Pennsylvania. And Charlie Kirk was a close friend and supporter of President Trump. who rallied millions of young people to vote for President Trump. So the bullet was for Donald Trump. And notice he was shot at the very moment he condemned the political violence of transvestites.
Starting point is 01:03:38 The church shootings that had been carried out by transvestites. The bullet hit him exactly as, he spoke about the violence of the transvestites. I am leaning towards the view that the bullet was timed with that question and that the killer may turn out to be a transgendered person. Now, Doc, I've noticed, I've noticed online, I mean, on television, watching the news, I've seen several former law enforcement officers, FBI agents, and so forth, they've used the phrase professional killer, professional hitman, that's been used several times.
Starting point is 01:04:44 and what they are saying is, hey, this is not somebody in the crowd that just pulled a gun out from under their shirt and shot him. This was a trained professional sniper on a roof. Right. One shot. Anywhere they're saying between 150 and 200 yards. Yes. So that means that person had access to the roof. Right. And that's further than the shot that
Starting point is 01:05:14 hit don't trump yes in butler and this person managed to get off the roof and leave and disappear like a professional sniper um charlie kirk's wife is pregnant with the third child that i didn't know that i didn't know that a friend of mine uh called me yesterday he had just talked to charlie a week ago and Charlie told him that his wife was expecting their third child so in fact my friend had raised $100,000
Starting point is 01:05:59 and donations just for this tour that kicked off yesterday and Charlie called him to thank him Charlie was the founder and leader of Turning Point USA and I believe prophetically his murder will be the turning point for the USA. Doc, things changed yesterday. I can feel it. oh yeah i can feel it and i noticed that question came up uh in a lot of the news reports yesterday evening uh where and they said that phrase over and something has changed some there's there's something different now um and even more i mean what happened to donald trump and
Starting point is 01:06:57 butler of course was a tragic situation but this is somehow a different this had a payoff if you will and you see that being reflected in the conversation now. This is a different moment for our generation, isn't it? It is. Miriam just said that Charlie was told by a good source that Israel was planning to kill him because of his comments about Gaza. Had he changed his position? Did he become a critic of Israel?
Starting point is 01:07:34 I haven't seen that and I've seen those comments too but whether it is or not there's still no reason to kill Charlie Kerr of course but the point is whoever did it was a professional
Starting point is 01:07:52 sniper yes this is one of the reasons I believe the Lord told me at the beginning of the year to shut down true news that we had a country had crossed the line that people are going to be eliminated
Starting point is 01:08:15 I said a few minutes ago that this is a turning point and that something is different I believe that we're headed towards Marshall Law and then Civil War. I swear I think I have thought this for quite some time, but I said after the November election that the radical left
Starting point is 01:08:59 will push Donald Trump to declare martial law they'll tawn him they'll just continue to do things and I think he's going to I think he's going to take action by declaring martial law at some point you know he said last week about Chicago he said they're going to soon find out why we renamed the Department of Defense,
Starting point is 01:09:28 the Department of War. That's a really strong statement, Doc. You're going to send troops into Chicago to deal with gangs. So the political left is protecting the gangs, protecting the criminals, protecting evil people in this country. They're protecting them.
Starting point is 01:09:51 This is a revolution. We are in a revolution. Ray Dalio, a billionaire. I mentioned him in my book, Megafar. He's very concerned about that the country is headed towards civil war. And he said, I've studied revolutions and civil wars for, you know, going back hundreds of years and he said I've noticed they kill rich people
Starting point is 01:10:27 and he's rich he's a billionaire and he's like you know what there's a pattern in every every revolution they drag rich people out in the streets and kill them so Rick is is this our fourth turning trigger this is the fourth turning crisis is coming on as
Starting point is 01:10:48 faster than I anticipated that, yes, it's coming faster than I anticipated, Doc. And the martial law will trigger the financial meltdown. I mean, we're about to go into a storm. And the president's going to be forced to do radical things to deal with a radical internal threat. But I remember the
Starting point is 01:11:27 prophecy by Dimitru Duteman, the Romanian pastor back in the 90s, he said while the government is putting down an uprising, a revolution in the center of the country,
Starting point is 01:11:45 Russia and China would attack the country. And so I believe China is foaming a lot of revolution, a lot of civil disobedience in this country. They're trying to get a revolution going. And you can see how Russia would be thinking they're justified in doing that too. Well, yeah, because NATO is trying to destroy them. Right. And so their attitude is going to be. Their attitude is going to be all as fair in love and war.
Starting point is 01:12:25 I'm just telling you that we are in a very dangerous time, and I believe yesterday was the turning point for the USA. The turning point that extreme radical actions are going to be taken to deal with the internal threat. And you could also see that I'm not justifying it. I'm not condoning it by any stretch of the imagination where people on the other side of the spectrum who have been observing these things in the nation and they have felt powerless to this point that the government hasn't addressed these issues that they'll take matters in their own
Starting point is 01:13:07 hands. Once again, not endorsing it. I'm not condoning it. I'm just saying you understand now why people do it because they feel that their government and has abandoned them. Doc, Paul made a good point, and I agree with you, Paul. He said, I believe that there will be regional martial law, but not the entire nation at one time.
Starting point is 01:13:31 Yes, I agree. But eventually, it will be national. But I do believe the president will start with limited martial law. For example, Chicago, the state of Illinois. California there will be limited martial law and they will go in and confront the radicals and the gangs and the criminals it'll be region by region but at some point things will be so chaotic that it will be a national martial law right that's how I see it happening but I agree I don't see the president declaring nationwide martial
Starting point is 01:14:22 law immediately but it's going to you're going to see martial law in America in some regions of the country and then eventually I believe it will be the entire country so we're there's a turning point look you cannot allow people to murder other people because of their political views cannot be allowed. We're at the point right now that no conservative can give a speech without the fear of being murdered. Right. And here's something to think about. I've heard some criticism last night because of lack of security. Well, how do you secure yourself from somebody shooting at 200 yards? How many hundreds of security officers are, how many hundreds of
Starting point is 01:15:14 security officers or policemen do you have to have to protect yourself against that but that's where we're at did charlie kirk's team were they flying drones over the buildings because now you have to have drones flying over the buildings all right does a private citizen have the right to fly drones over a public educational institution? See, there's legal things now involved, but you have to secure the rooftops now. What's going to happen is there will be conservatives and Christian leaders will stop holding public meetings. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:00 That's where it's going. So they've stifled the very speech. Let's say they will stop. holding meeting open-air public meetings you may still have meetings inside buildings but you'll have to go through metal detectors it's hard to carry a rifle into an auditorium so you're going to see these changes taking place very soon every congressman every senator every I'm talking about conservatives Republicans. They're in danger right now. But I'll tell you, the other danger, and I think this is, there's a high likelihood this is going to happen. And I make it very clear, I'm not endorsing it, I'm rejecting it, condemning it. I'm just saying, as an observer of what's taking place, I think there's a high probability as somebody on the right who is a sniper.
Starting point is 01:17:08 from previous employment in the military or law enforcement or intelligence agencies is going to take out people on the left. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:23 Okay? And this is going to be going back and forth, back and forth. You're going to see prominent leftists, politicians, media, celebrities, political activists,
Starting point is 01:17:35 taken out. Financier. those who are financing revolution this is getting very dangerous right now folks be prepared get into this secret place go into the secret place which is in the shadow of the most high god get under your father's shadow okay and hide there Some very dark days are coming on us. I do not see positive things in the immediate future. I think we're going through about five, maybe even 10 years of darkness.
Starting point is 01:18:28 Listen to what I just said, five to 10 years of darkness. Dr. French Revolution, they were chopping off heads for, 10 years. Have you seen what's going on in France lately? No. There are protests and there's fires going on over Nepal, just a day before yesterday. They burned down the parliament building. I saw that one.
Starting point is 01:18:52 There's this revolution attitude that's happening right now. And Nepal was caused by the government imposing restrictions on online free speech. Right. And people rose up against them and burned down the house. also the prime minister we are in a season of war this is a cycle of war so i'm going to wrap up my comments and i'm going to go and check and see if we are ready to release megafar today because the website is ready everything's ready and i i want to see that it's published and online right now uh in fact i'm going to type it in i'm not going to tell you the address
