TRUNEWS with Rick Wiles - Morning Manna - September 16, 2026 - Proverbs 11:27-31
Episode Date: September 16, 2025In today’s Morning Manna, we study Proverbs 11:27–31, where Solomon teaches that those who earnestly seek good will find favor, while those who chase mischief invite their own ruin. Trust in riche...s leads to downfall, but righteousness causes life to flourish. A troubled house leaves its heirs with nothing, yet the righteous bear fruit as a tree of life, winning souls in true wisdom. These verses close with a sober reminder: if even the righteous face recompense in this world, how much more certain is judgment for the wicked and the sinner. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Morning Manna. We are delighted to have you here today. We're going to finish our study of Chapter 11, the book of Proverbs. Tomorrow we begin chapter 12. And so today we're looking at Proverbs 11, verses 27 through 31. Let's invite the Holy Spirit. Then Doc Burkhart will read the Word of God. Almighty God, our Father in heaven, we can.
come to you in the name of your holy son, Jesus Christ, and we request the presence of your
spirit in this morning man of Bible study to lead us and guide us in the understanding and
revelation of your word. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. And as Rick said, we are
going to be finishing up chapter 11 today. And we're going to be reading verses 27 through 31.
So if you want to turn your Bibles there, we'll read together here in just a moment.
I want to welcome everybody from wherever you are in the world, including Bahrain today, Congo today, of course, Philippines, Japan, Switzerland, Russia.
Our good friend Tim, Tim, today's his birthday.
Hey, happy birthday.
Happy birthday, Tim.
And so I wanted to give a shout out to him today.
Praise the Lord.
He's also got a brand new son-in-law, too.
Just got that over the weekend.
Congratulations.
Yeah. So hopefully get to meet Tim face to face one day. So all right, let's read here, starting at verse 27 through 31. Follow along with me. I'm reading from King James today. He that diligently seeketh good procures favor, but he that seeketh mischief. It shall come to him. He that trusteth in his riches shall fall, but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the way.
wind and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life
and he that win us souls is wise behold the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth much more the
wicked and the sinner and that finishes the reading of chapter 11 but not the study of chapter 11
which we are about to begin right now verse 27 Rick that's right you know doc I think we're going to be in
proverbs to the end of the year at this rate is that's what it's looking like plus there might be
some gaps in there too and so but you're probably right so yeah well verse 27 he that diligently
seeketh good procureth favor he that seeketh mischief it shall come unto him world english
Bible says he who diligently seeks good seeks favor but he who searches after evil it shall come to him
and the subtoigent translation says he that devises good counsel seeks good favor but as for him
that seeks after evil evil shall overtake him I think I like that translation there I like that
well the Septuagint is the correct version
that's my opinion
I know all the King James
the members of the King James fan club
will get upset but
the Septuagint is the authentic
Greek version
right
so
he that diligently seeketh good
procures faith
It's there's two things here diligently I seeketh to seek good means more than avoiding evil it is this implies diligently seeketh intentional pursuit of righteousness truth kindness kindness
and all the good virtues of the kingdom of God.
As Dr. Mike Murdoch
has said many times,
pursuit is proof of desire.
Yes.
You pursue that which you desire.
So,
Proverbs 1127 says,
He that diligently seeketh good
will procure favor.
So the
only reason you would seek good is because you desire good you desire goodness so this is an
intentional pursuit of goodness this righteous man or woman is not passive you cannot diligently
seek something by remaining idle nothing comes to anyone who doesn't put any effort
into life well i would say you know poverty comes to you there's a lot of negative things that
will come to you by being idle but this diligent this this person that verse 27 is talking about
is somebody who is diligently seeking right he he or she is not passive he or she exerts
effort right to do what to find ways to bless others
others. Right. And I like the way that this particular word diligently seek, and it's used a whole
bunch of times in the Old Testament. It can be used either to like pursue, like you talk about,
or it can also be used to seek early, to seek like the very first thing that you do at the start
of the day. In other words, the way I would look at it is not only doesn't mean to earnestly
seek something, pursue something, but it's true.
your first thought at the beginning of the day as well.
That's what you're, when you wake up, you're thinking, hot dog, I can't wait to seek out good today.
Doc, I'm glad you brought that up because we're going to see here in these verses that it does, it does imply seeking early.
So what this says is that God's providence.
the favor of God.
Rest on men and women who live for the sake of blessing other people.
See, he that diligently seeketh good, it's, it's what are they, why are they seeking good?
They're seeking a way to be a blessing to somebody else.
So this favor, obviously, is from God.
He smiles upon those who reflect his goodness.
To seek goodness is to walk in the path of Jesus Christ.
Acts chapter 10, verse 38, says Jesus went about doing good.
Every place he went, he did good.
Right.
Can we say this?
Jesus never had a selfish day.
He never had a bad day.
He went about doing good.
So you cannot manipulate this favor.
This favor is this favor is bestowed upon you from God.
It's a gift.
You cannot.
work it up you can't make it happen it's a gift from god upon those who seek to do good
i don't like using this term self-interest but if you look at it in all the proverbs if you
look at it simply from the the viewpoint of self-interest
it's in your best interest
to be righteous
and to be generous to be good
it's in your best interest
because those things
these virtues unlock
God's favor on your life
so if you
really just looking at this as saying hey
how can I get through this life
and get the most out of it
right you would obey
the word of God I mean it's just like I guess the Lord is looking at us saying I'm
you know I'm I'm offering this to you for your own good yeah here it is here's
here's here are the rules to qualify for my favor that's why it's why we should
we really should maybe there's a book called somebody I'm sure has done this talk
just the promises of God the if and then if you do this then I'll do this
what are the promises of God what are the actions that we have to take to unlock that
favor conditional favor the Bible is full from Genesis to
it is full of promises so it's it's in your own best interest to find those promises and
fulfill them acted out because you you'll be blessed I mean really the whole book of
proverbs is talking about how to be blessed right and how to avoid not being blessed
it's a contrast
so seeking good
it transforms us
if your heart desires
to do good to other people
you will change
and improve over time
and
the diligent seeker of doing good
and that's what this is about
is doing good for the lives of other people the diligent seeker becomes a fountain and we've seen this
this metaphor this image throughout proverbs of a flowing fountain
i mean down way back in the early part of proverbs we were studying about the you know flowing
into the streets.
Yes.
It's like your water main break.
You're just flowing goodness into the streets.
And so the Lord desires us to be a fountain of goodness, of generosity, of kindness.
It says procures favor, all right.
the one who diligently seeketh good procureth favor what does this mean it means that goodness aligns
with the moral order established by god in the universe you get in right standing with him that's
what righteousness is right standing when you are in right standing goodness flows from heaven
yes when you get crossways with the lord then you get perpendicular with him all right you're
you're restricting the flow of favor get yourself alignment with him again the favor flows
the valve opens but he that seeketh mischief it shall come unto him so here we have the contrast
seeketh good seeketh mischief
to seek mischief is to scheme to plot
to pursue evil intentionally
mischievous people think that they're clever
but their plots backfire
eventually in time
their plots will backfire
so this verse is telling the mischievous person
you are guaranteed retribution
your mischief
your plots your schemes
your evil doing will come back on you
so
the
the righteous person is diligently doing good, seeking good, good for other people.
And they are blessed.
They're trying to help other people.
They're trying to bless other people.
And God says, I like that.
I'm going to bless you.
Right.
But this is a different word that you used for Seeketh here.
This isn't the same word that was used in the first part.
So the diligently seeking, you're talking about pursuing, but in a positive sense.
But this word seeketh here.
It's a whole different word.
What is it?
It means it's often associated when someone seeks an idol or seeks a heathen God.
So it has more of a negative connotation to it.
so it's no accident it's not even though english it says seek is in both but it's actually two
very different if you're words seeking in the original Hebrew Aramaic so
I said doctor first thing that comes in my mind the reason the word is different for seek
and you're and it implies it's it's like connected to idol worship is because this is selfishness
right in selfishness is the idol the righteous person is not doing it for himself or herself but for
others but god says because you've put others first i'm going to bless you right but the
mischievous person says ah myself is the most important i will seek things for myself
right so what happens they reap a harvest of judgment
so evil is never without consequences
mischievous people
are restless
they are never satisfied until they stir strife
oh that's true
cause harm inflict pain on somebody else it's opening up the doors again to a discussion of
narcissism because narcissism is selfishness a narcissist is somebody who is absolutely
consumed with himself or herself and they're restless they're never satisfied they have to
stir strife they have to cause harm they have to inflict pain and this verse is saying you live like
that it's going to come back on you you're going to reap what you sowed see god sees to it himself
that his favor comes upon those who seek good for the benefit of others but the opposite is true
He sees to it that the mischievous person is punished.
God is active in both of these situations.
Amen.
That's the key there.
Which side of the Lord's personality do you want?
Do you desire to be active in your life?
That ought to make everybody stop.
think because you get one of the other so pursuing selfish goals uh isolates that person from from favor
they are cursed instead of blessed they may have temporary gain but eventually
Eventually, there's pain ahead.
They can't continue forever on that path.
Because their heart, not only their actions, but their heart does not escape God's eye.
Amen.
And when you are determined that you're going to get everything you can for yourself and you're going to walk over top of other people, that is not going to escape God's.
attention when you are a person who's quick to make sure you get taken care of i've been around
people like that yeah oh man they're fast they're going to make sure they get taken care of
and uh i just going back to all the trips that we've taken rick and we've taken a couple
and we've taken various team members and guests with us and everything.
It's always revealing to observe how people operate when they are traveling in a pressure situation, isn't it?
Oh, it is.
You see hearts revealed.
Hell, yeah.
Airports reveal the darkest hearts.
You will see people who will make sure that they get taken care of.
promptly and you'll see others who will watch out for others yeah put their interests behind
and actually take care of somebody else um if you want to find out who your friends are
take a trip with them to the airport um oh i could tell stories i don't know if i should
it's probably better i don't they give you they give you realistic stories folks we do have stories yes
i do have stories let's see what the commentators said john gill
he that seeks the good of others and promotes it by word and deed shall find favor with god and man
but he that seeks mischief finds it at last against himself yeah you find what you're looking for
that's what it comes down to
Adam Clark
the man who seeks to do good
shall be a blessing to others
and he shall be blessed
he who seeks mischief
shall not fail to meet it himself
Amen
Charles Bridges
the seeker of good
brings back with him
a rich harvest of favor
the seeker of mischief
digs a pit for others
and falls into it himself
Alexander McLaren
every man is a seeker
the question is what are you seeking seek good and you will find favor seek mischief and you will find mischief
will find mischief william are not the diligent seeker of good leaves behind him a trail of blessing
as the sun leaves light but the seeker of mischief walks under a cloud and the storm breaks upon his own head
Robert Horton, here is the law of pursuit.
Good brings favor, evil brings retribution.
What a man seeks, he shall find, whether it be God's blessing or God's judgment.
All right, let's go to verse 28.
He that trusteth in his riches shall fall, but the righteous shall flourish.
as a branch.
I looked at the Paschita, which is the Aramaic translation.
Aramaic, that's what Jesus spoke.
People think he spoke Hebrew or Yiddish.
He spoke Aramaic.
Or British English, if you watch the movies.
Right.
The Queens English.
He spoke the Queens English.
The Peshita says, he that trust upon his wealth will fall, and the righteous ones will bud like leaves.
I like that.
The Septuagin says, he that trust in wealth shall fall, but he that helps righteous men shall rise.
So he that trust in his riches shall fall.
The very first thing that we're being told is that riches are a false foundation.
right it's a flimsy wall right it's not that the riches themselves are bad but trusting in the riches
is where you trip it up so good point the riches are not flimsy the trust in the riches is what's a
flimsy wall that's right because you can have riches and trusting god and the riches are fine
yeah but the trust in riches is an unstable wobbly wall and it will fall he that trust in his riches
by trusting in wealth is idolatry it's not the wealth it's the trust the trust the
gold, the silver, the money.
The idolatry is the trust in those things.
Because you're replacing God with gold, silver, money, land, houses.
Nothing wrong with having them.
Just don't let them have you.
Riches cannot protect you from sickness.
It certainly can't protect you from death.
how many wealthy people are there that they end up spending most of their wealth on medical care
because they the Lord takes away their health
and eventually he takes away their wealth
If you trust in wealth for security, for honor, for comfort, whatever it is, it will betray you in the end.
If your wealth goes away, has your life gone away?
Has your self-worth gone away?
For some people, yes.
Yes, that's why they commit suicide when they lose.
money because their their identity has been taken from them
doctors the word used here for fall suggests a total collapse
yeah not not stumbling yeah it's a wipeout total collapse
because no earthly wealth can hold up
a soul without God.
And this collapse,
this sudden collapse,
it can come obviously suddenly
through a calamity
or it can come gradually
or it can come eternally.
Look, just people can go through this entire life
and it appears that everything's okay,
but on the day they die,
they fall.
he that trust in his riches shall fall some people don't fall until they take their last breath
what a horrible way to go yeah as a matter of fact that word fall that's often associated with
someone either falling prostate down on the ground in worship or it's associated with death
Either way, it's a complete collapse.
Yes.
So, I mean, it's a pretty vivid picture there.
Yes.
So trust in riches, it comes from pride, and it increases pride in a person.
But the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
here's this branch this leaf is a metaphor that's throughout the scriptures it's it's in
the psalms it's in jeremiah it's in the gospel
god refers to our lives as a branch right and it's a metaphor for life for vitality for
fruitfulness but the righteous shall flourish as a branch
not a dead decaying branch
but a branch
is full of life
and producing green leaves and producing fruit
the righteous
the righteous are like trees
planted by rivers
as Psalm 1 verse 3
yeah and that his leaf
shall not wither or his branch
shall not wither. That's the same
word that's used here in this
verse in 28.
Even in hard times,
even in drought times.
Yes. The righteous flourish
in every season.
This is why
I'm emphasizing
I am
certain that there is a very
severe financial
crisis coming to
America and
Europe maybe the entire world
I believe it will hit
in 2026
it will last several years
it could last a decade
the righteous will flourish
this is why it's important
to understand the word of God
and to be in right standing with the Lord
to be doing all the things that he says,
hey, son, daughter, do these things,
and I personally will make sure your life is flourishing.
Wait a minute.
Is this a, are you teaching works?
Not for salvation, no.
No.
No.
No, no.
We're not saved by works.
but there should be works
but there should be works
but am I talking about works
to receive blessings?
Yes
yes
you can't do anything
to make God love you
any more than he does or
to not love you
you can't change his love for you
he loves you
end of the discussion
he loves you
but you can affect the amount of favor that is on your life
yes that's based on the promises of god and the promises of god require you to trust him
there's an if-then component yes to the promises of god then i do this then i do this right
that's easy to understand if you jump off a cliff what happens you fall to the ground why
because there's a principle in place called gravity
that is very difficult to violate.
And so, but God's promises are just as sure.
If then, if you do this, then I will do that.
If you desire to see it and very vivid description,
read Deuteronomy chapter 28.
Yes.
As the Hebrews came into Canaan,
God gave the plan to Moses, and Moses delivered the word of the Lord.
If you do these things, these blessings shall come upon you.
And there's a lot of blessings.
But then, Deuteronomy 28 changes.
And God told the Hebrews, however, if you do this, these curses shall come upon you.
Right.
and there are more curses than there are blessings.
Twice as many.
Twice as many.
I said if and then.
If you do this, then I'll do this.
The same principle holds in the new covenant.
We're not saved by works, we're saved by faith.
but we are blessed by God by obeying his commandments.
And that's why we're studying the Word of God.
I just encourage you, just make notes.
Hey, the Lord, I learned on Tuesday, the Lord said to do this.
If I do this, this is what happens.
make have a notebook of blessing instructions oh i like that idea
yeah i got to work on a book like that dog
doc maybe you and i work on one together
okay that'd be cool all right let's put out a book of blessings
the blessing manual
yeah the blessing manual
so flourishing what does it mean to flourish it just means you're just growing you're
prospering you're producing fruit you've got joy even in hardship hard times can't make you
sad and unhappy hey your oranges that you produce that you produce have you
an orange tree. They might be smaller
during a drought,
but there's still an orange.
Even during
hard times, the fruit that you're producing
may not be as big as it was in good
times, but you're still producing fruit.
God himself
is the source of our prosperity.
And our
flourishing depends on his life flowing through us.
Jesus said he is the true vine.
We are a branch attached to the vine.
If the branch is cut off from the vine, there's no life.
But if you're attached to the true vine, there's life flowing through you at all.
times yes so flourishing it go ahead though i was going to say but get separated from the vine
or get pruned from the vine that's where death enters in yet life is in the vine life is in the vine
we need to remain i want to remain in the vine i hope that's everyone else's desire to
the divine is in the vine isn't it that's right
so to flourish the flourishing in this verse is the fruit that's produced through your life by you being connected to him
you just will be blessed and prosperous right now you might be saying well i'm not okay well shake off that feeling
shake off that thought this is the truth through life through family imprinting through
culture wherever whatever has affected us over years of our lives we can develop a
a poverty mindset and it's it's opposite the word of God
you are a you are meant to prosper that is the lord's will for your life to prosper in your soul
to prosper in your health to prosper in your finances to prosper in your relationships that is the
will of god for you to flourish if it isn't his will then his word is not true amen why are we even
studying this stuff if this isn't true to the people that get all upset about saying that we are
God desires us to prosper and flourish if they get so upset about it why are you going to church
why are you studying the Bible yes what's the point in it his word says we are meant to flourish
and he tells us what we must do to flourish
and he tells us what we can do to stop the flourishing
one is called wise and one that's called a fool
the fool is the one who doesn't do the things
that allows the Lord's favor to flow through their branch
you're a fool
I'm trying to bless you
you're trying to bless yourself
and most of what you're doing to bless yourself
is by taking from someone else you're a fool
that's what it is doc
fools
try to bless themselves out of selfishness
and they do it by taking from somebody else
and God says you're a fool
yeah here's the reason you're a fool
my word told you to bless other people and I will make you wealthy and that makes you a wise person
amen and when I say wealthy look I'm not talking about you become a trillionaire a billionaire
I'm not that's not what I'm saying what is success what is prosperity it's having more than
enough to accomplish your assignment yes to accomplish your assignment
what God is assigned for you to do, for you to have more than enough.
Enough is not prosperity.
Prosperity is having more than enough.
And with more than enough, you can bless other people.
You can finance the preaching of the Word of God.
You can finance orphanages, the care of children.
When you have more than enough,
So the rites are upheld by God's eternal promises.
Branches flourish not by independence, but branches flourish by dependence.
We flourish as a branch. We flourish as a branch.
when we are dependent upon the vine when we abide with christ with when we are in union with
christ then we flourish so that they shall flourish as a branch and what does a what does a living branch
have it has green leaves and luscious fruit that's the kind of life god has promised us
Right. And a flourishing plant is easy to identify, isn't it? Just like a dead plant, easy to identify. But one that's flourishing, one that's, you know, full of life, you know, full of that green leaves and everything. And that, that word leaf is the same leaf, you know, that he that is planted by rivers of water, his leaf shall flourish. And so the idea is life.
It's life-giving.
When you have a flourishing plant in your yard,
you know, it'll just keep growing and getting bigger and bigger.
And you're like, hey, this thing's become huge.
It's flourishing.
Matthew Henry, those that make gold, their hope shall fall.
But those that make God their hope shall flourish.
Amen.
That's as simple as you can get.
John Gill, trusting in riches, brings down ruin, temporal, and eternal, but the righteous, depending on God, flourish like a green leaf, living, fruitful, flourishing forever.
Robert Horton, The root of security is not in wealth, but in righteousness.
Riches betray, righteousness flourishes.
Verse 29, He that troubles his own.
own house shall inherit the wind and the full shall be servant to the wise of heart the
psheda says he that builds his house with depravity will leave groanings to his children
he that does not remain quietly in his house will distribute the winds to his children
and the fool will be servant to the wise.
And the Septuagint translation says,
he that deals not graciously with his own house
shall inherit the wind
and the fool shall be servant to the wise man.
Now this one that's going to get,
this is going to hit home for some people.
you may have someone who's troubling your own house right and god calls that person a fool
to deliberately bring trouble into your own house to trouble his or her own house
because the family's full can be the husband or the wife
but to trouble your own house
is one who brings ruin
upon his or her family
through selfishness
foolishness
oppression, neglect
there's different ways to do this
it can again it can be through selfishness it can be through harshness
it can be through emotional cruelty
it can be physical cruelty
it can be the mismanagement of resources
it can be through addictions
when when one of the leaders of the house is addicted
to liquor, gambling, pornography, whatever it is.
They are addicted.
They bring trouble to their house.
They refuse to surrender those things to the Lord.
If a person is physically or emotionally cruel to family members,
he or she brings trouble to their home.
And instead of security, that person leaves his or her family with instability.
Again, I said, you know, this can be the husband or the wife.
Proverbs 141 says, the wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.
how many homes have been deliberately destroyed from within
the amplified Bible says for 14 Proverbs 141
the wise woman builds her house on a foundation of godly precepts
and her household thrives
but the foolish one who lacks spiritual insight
tears it down with her own hands by ignoring godly principles
a person who ignores the laws of god brings shame and reproach and failure into his or her own household
that's right a person who brings division and strife an argument in their own home will bring down their house
Matthew
chapter 12 verse 25
Jesus said
every kingdom divided against
itself will be laid waste
and no city or household
divided against itself
will stand
listen to what Jesus said
if you have divided your home
your home will fall
and the blame
will be on your head
amen
says the person that brings trouble to his or her own house shall inherit the wind
what does that mean everything will be blown away
everything will be swept away you you will inherit nothing there will be just
emptiness desolation the wind the wind of life will come
come and blow away your whole life.
But I think it's interesting that that word inherit is used there.
I mean, it's something, it's in the will.
Yes.
It's what you're going to get.
If you bring trouble, it's already written in the will.
You're going to get the wind.
You're going to get it.
The wind is going to sweep away your life.
Wind is uncontrollable.
It's unstable.
It's passing. It's ungrascible. You can't grab a handful of wind.
That's right. You can't control it. You can't stop it. You don't know when it's coming.
You can't see it either. Only the results of wind.
Yes. The wind can just tear down everything. It can
everything blow it away a person who troubles their own house ends up
impoverished so Jesus said a home divided against itself will not stand he didn't say
might not stand he said it will not stand
in other words it's guaranteed to fall
because there's division and strife under the roof
and there's fighting in the household
and Jesus said this home will fall
every business
where there's a division inside the business
it will collapse
every nation that is divided
it will collapse that's where America's at today we've got two different populations and I'm
talking I'm not talking about racist I'm talking about mentality we've got two different populations
with two completely different worldviews living on the same soil cannot last the country will
fall. If we can't find a way to unite, we will fall. How do I know that? Jesus said so.
Said every kingdom that's divided against itself will be laid waste. What is laid waste? It'll be
wiped out. Flatened. Flattened. Wiped out.
so anybody in a family who acts contrary to the word of God
is bringing destruction upon themselves upon their entire family
and at the end you're going to end up with nothing
and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart
so the foolish man or woman
although arrogant and proud
ends up serving the wise
his or her pride
will bring them low
so wise people rise to leadership
fools are brought down to servitude
so wise management elevates foolish management degrades this is a law of the universe
the full waste opportunities the full waste resources the fool destroys his or her family's
reputation and eventually over time it
It leaves that man or woman dependent on others.
But what could happen is that the other spouse just says,
I'm getting out of here to get away from this.
And now that person has been isolated and is alone.
And God promises that person will suffer ruin.
Nothing will go right.
You see a picture of eternal realities.
The wise inherit God's kingdom.
The fools inherit the lake of fire.
I mean, it carries through all the way through eternity.
That's right.
The principle doesn't disappear when the world ends.
Albert Barnes, born 1798, said,
He who troubles his house by greed or cruelty will come to nothing.
The fool becomes a servant while wisdom lifts a man to honor.
Verse 30, the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
and he that wineth souls is wise.
So here we are again.
metaphor that the fruit of righteousness is a tree of life and who is wise the person that
wins souls to Christ amen fruit fruit refers to results to influence to works to generosity
That's produced by the life of the righteous person.
So the righteous person nourishes and refreshes those around him or her, just like a fruitful tree.
I mean, if you sit under an apple tree, apples are going to fall off the tree.
I think of one of my favorite places
on the island of St. Kitts.
Oh.
It, Doc, it's up on Mount Leo Maggiah, the volcano.
There are so many mango trees,
like you're stepping on mangoes.
In the mango season,
there's so many mangoes that they're just,
falling on the ground that's what that's what a tree a fruitful tree does it just produces fruit it
can't help itself right i got some more fruit coming out here okay i can't help myself i got more
fruit that's what a righteous generous kind person produces the fruit of living right for god it just
oozes out of you and you become a tree of life you know a mango tree doesn't have to sit
there and grunt and go oh i got to make a mango up here no it just isn't it's just a mango tree
mangoes come out of it there's nothing the mango tree doesn't have to work up a mango
it's the fruit of being a mango tree right if you're a mango tree guess what mangoes come out of you
if you're an apple tree apples come out of you naturally what the word is teaching us if you are righteous
if you are generous if you are kind fruit naturally comes out of you
You don't have to work at it.
It just happens because it's coming out of your heart.
The righteous bless others with encouragement, with wisdom, with love, with kindness.
We see at the very beginning in Genesis, the tree of life.
Genesis 2.9.
And then in Revelation 22,
two what do we have now the tree of life is in new jerusalem god didn't get rid of the tree of life
that was in the garden of eden he just moved it to heaven right said hey i'm gonna i'm gonna
replant this in the city of new jerusalem so it's very much alive to this day
living with Christ in New Jerusalem, we are going to stand right there and touch the same tree
of life that Adam and Eve saw and touched. The same tree.
And it's the very same tree. The healing of the nations. Amen.
So the righteous, because we're attached to the vine, the vine is Christ, we become conduits
for life to flow through us and bless those around us to sustain souls and he that wineth souls is wise
to win souls to rescue them to lead them to christ to teach us of god how can a person
excuse me i'm sorry how can a person teach others the ways of god if they've never studied the bible
you can't do it you have to first know the ways of god before you can teach it to others
how can you win souls if you don't know the word because the word is what's necessary to
win a soul somebody has to speak the word
birds don't do it
cows don't speak the word of God
humans are meant to speak the word of God
that's the way souls are won
somebody must speak the word of God
and then the Holy Spirit must work in that person's life
with that word that they heard
and so the one who wins souls is wise
because the wise person is not living for himself or herself but living for God and for others
and God says I'm going to bless your life
so the greatest fruit that you can produce in this life is winning souls
that's the one that really pleases the Lord more than anything
why because you're imitating Christ
who came to seek and to save that which was lost
what did uh let me see here
robert horton
the fruit of righteousness feeds the dying world
the crown of wisdom is not impossessed
but in souls one to God.
Oh, we got one more verse.
I got to hurry up here.
Verse 31.
Behold, the righteousness shall be recompensed in the earth
much more than the wicked and the sinner.
Now, there's a lot in here.
Okay, go forward.
What are we often told?
We're often told, well, you know,
your righteousness, you'll get a reward in heaven.
it's a reward in heaven and you have to die first to get your reward that's not what this
scripture says oh doc you think maybe they made a mistake they it was supposed to be shall
be recompensed in heaven and and somehow they they stuck in the word earth
behold the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth that's right they're not making
a mistake they're making an excuse they're asking themselves why aren't we being
recompensed in the earth well maybe you're not righteous what does recompense mean
it's a reward yes it's a payment it's a reward for doing something
the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth what are they recompensed what did they do
why are they being rewarded they did they did the the commandments of god and god says in this earth
in this life you will be rewarded again it it obliterates any doctrine any theology that says you
you ought to be poor and broke and beat down and lacking in the necessities of life
That is a lie.
God says you shall be recompensed in the earth.
I, you know, I'm not, I'm not going to condemn preachers and Bible teachers and church leaders that contradict this.
I'm sure in many other ways of life, they're right and they're correct, but they have a hang up about these issues.
Right.
I'm going to believe what God says, and he says, the righteous shall be recompensed.
I know I'm going to be rewarded when Christ comes back, but I need something right now.
That's right.
And there's nothing wrong with that.
There's absolutely nothing wrong.
There's some sort of guilt that goes on people that somehow, if they get a reward in this life, that there's something wrong with that.
where is that thinking come from rick not heaven and look this this recompense this reward it's not
just it's not just finances but it's peace your mind your soul is at peace it's favor with god
and people it's fruitfulness it's good health it's joy look at people look at people that
claim to be Christians and they have no joy at all. They're just miserable.
Right. What is that? What are you what are you displaying? You're miserable. You're mean.
You're nasty. Are you telling me that you're walking in righteousness with the Lord?
You're displaying your harvest because that's what you're reaping.
Joy is as part of the reward.
Amen.
You were to be blessed, you're to be happy, you're to be joyful.
And you can't say, well, other people make me mean and miserable.
No, no, no, no, no.
That doesn't work.
That does not work.
Just forget that line.
God weighs every life and he deals with his people here and now.
and then much more the wicked in the center so the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth
now this word recompense can also imply correction discipline the righteous are disciplined in this
world we're blessed we're rewarded but we're also discipline we're corrected we're correct it
why because our father loves us and so that's a promise he will also discipline and correct his
sons and daughters because he's preparing us for our eternal reward discipline now glory later
but much more the wicked and the sinner so if the righteous are rewarded
award it and receive correction and discipline how much more will the wicked receive judgment
in this earth the wicked may prosper in this earth but their recompense is certain
so recompense begins on earth for the wicked it begins with unrest misery
and it ends with divine judgment
so the final recompense
is everlasting
separation from God
right because the Lord says
you're not bringing that
you're not bringing that spirit into my home
I'm not going to
I'm not going to tolerate that attitude
no way
no way am I living with that forever
that's right
folks some people need to do some real
serious heart searching right now
soul searching
is your attitude
the way you think and act and talk
is it something God would desire to live with
for eternity
you cussing
you're murmuring
you're complaining
you're griping
you're angry you're bitter
you're telling me God
desires to live with that forever
I don't think so
I don't think so
I don't think so
then you better change now
your mouth is
is identifying
what's in your heart
so the much more
in this phrase it serves to intensify the warning if god disciplines his children in this earth
he will surely much more discipline his enemies and let me tell you the wicked are his enemies
Amen
Peter said in
1 Peter chapter 4 verse 18
If the righteous
scarcely be saved
Where shall the ungodly
in the center appear
Alexander McLaren
the same principle works in opposite directions.
The righteous are chast chastened that they may be made more righteous.
The wicked are punished because they are wicked.
William are not.
If God does not exempt the righteous from discipline, surely he will not exempt the wicked from doom.
If the child is chastened, the rebel shall not go free.
all right doc we're over time limit that's it for today tomorrow i'm chapter 12 that's right we start

Rick has a new book out, Megafire, okay, and if you'd like more information about this book,
or if you'd like to order your copy or multiple copies or an autograph copy, go to megafire.
That's M-E-G-A-Fire.world, all one word, megafire.
world. Rick, I'm reading through megafire again. I've read to a couple drafts already.
This is the final version. I'm on chapter 25. This is the title of chapter 25. Watch for
Armenian-Americans fleeing the USA. And Rick recounts the story and history of Armenians who migrated from
Armenia to the U.S., particularly the Los Angeles area, back the late 1800s, early 1900s,
and how that can relate to what might be happening right now.
And so it's a fascinating chapter with stories about the Molokans.
And you don't know who the Molokans are.
They're not some weird Indian tribe.
They're the milk drinkers.
And there's a whole story about that in Chapter 25 here.
There's a lot in this book, a lot in this book, a lot of stories, a lot of recounting of visions,
not just visions that Rick has had, but that others have had as well.
I finished the chapters on the asteroids yesterday, Rick.
And so I'm looking forward to getting a refreshing from the milk drinkers today.
Asteroids, two big asteroids coming in, 2029 and 2032.
That's right.
Dangerously close to the Earth.
That's right.
And the one in 2029, its name means God of Chaos.
Yes, Apophis.
So yesterday.
Go ahead.
I'm just sorry.
If you haven't received, if you haven't ordered your copy of Megafire,
I encourage you to do it today.
What's encouraging, Rick, is people are ordering multiple copies.
Oh, yes.
Of the book.
So.
And I saw, I saw Jody going out the door yesterday with a mountain of,
books. I mean, I was blessed to see that many books going out to the post office. It's very
encouraging. And yesterday's, yeah, and let's say it, yeah, you can on the on the store, there is a place for
signature for an autograph. Yeah, it's on the order page itself. You can choose between the standard
edition and the autographed edition right so and you can order more than one too yeah maybe we need
to make it more visible right if people people are not seeing it um yesterday at the end of the morning
man i talked about uh samuel binner was that yesterday doc we talked about it it sure was yesterday
and his yes and so um and that i discovered
over the weekend that Benner also discovered a cycle for droughts right and based on that
Benner cycle for droughts we are now entering a new dustbow drought in America so I put all that
stuff in a newsletter that went out yesterday and so you can share that newsletter with people
and I gave them five or six articles all within recent months.
In fact, Doc, I had a conference call yesterday afternoon with a businessman,
and I was talking about the book, and I told him about dinner.
And he said, I just went through a dust storm.
He lived in Phoenix.
He lives in Phoenix.
And he says, we had a massive dust storm.
So these dust storms are appearing now, just as Benner predicted over 100 years ago, more than 100 years ago, based on him just studying weather cycles and weather patterns.
Anyhow, yeah, you're right, Don.
They call him Haboves.
That name just appeared in the past 10 years.
I've never heard of a Haboob until it's an arable.
word. That's what Arabs called dust storms. But that was never called in America. We just called them dust storms. Bob, you're right. Lake Mead is 150 feet below normal level. You know, when I first went to Vegas, Lake Meade was, I thought it was full. It's been decades ago. Now, Lake Mead is, looks like a pond. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
So too many people are not paying attention to what's happening.
They're not putting it all together.
So get the book.
I believe the book will help you mentally put together a series of things that are taking place in this country and in the world right now.
And we are racing towards World War.
There's no doubt in my mind.
No doubt in my mind.
And I talk about it at the beginning of the book.
When I was a teenager, before I was saved, I had an inner knowing that my destiny had something to do with a world war after the year 2000.
Doc, I knew that in the 60s.
Wow.
In the early 70s, I knew it as a teenager.
I didn't know what it meant.
I just knew that the purpose of my life had something to do with a nuclear war after the year 2000.
That's not the kind of thing you go around and talk to people about and say, hey, what, you want to hear something really crazy?
But it was there.
It was inside of me.
I believe this book is a major part of it.
warning people this war is coming
and to get ready
to prepare God's people
for the end times
so anyhow
get the book
get a copy for some other people
and
and get busy
get very busy
I've never felt such a
urgency to get
free of stuff
yeah
I have a desire to get
just to break free of stuff
I want as little stuff
around me as I can
stuff is
stuff will get you killed
yes
one of the reasons
so many Jews died in Germany
in World War II
is that they would not leave their stuff
for years they knew that Hitler was gaining power
they knew the Nazis were evil
but they couldn't
their normalcy bias convinced them
it's just what we see happening
can't be real
somehow we're going to get out of this
and because they had so much stuff
they couldn't
flee Germany
right
because they couldn't take
their stuff with them
and I'm telling you
stuff is going to get people killed
you might be saved
okay
you'll be in the presence of the Lord
but you're not going to be here
because you
you wouldn't let go of your stuff
so let that be your final thought for today yes and we're going to say goodbye for today we'll be back
here wednesday morning rachel had one question it's an important question i'll answer real
quick here how do i pass today's lesson to a non-faith and values member and of course we
always want to encourage you to be with us live but we do post this content on various social media
later in the day. And so that's a way to introduce Morning Manna to a friend. You can see the videos such as on, for instance, YouTube, Rumble, a few other places. And also on the older side of true news, we are still posting it there as well. And so we do that later in the day, though. That's not the live version. And so if you do want to share this with someone,
in your family or a friend that you think would benefit from today's teaching,
we encourage you to go to those other platforms later in the day today
and share that content.
It helps us out too.
Rick and I'm intrigued.
Wade said,
I had dreams about a huge rock hurling through space when I was a little kid,
multiple dreams in the 70s.
Wade, I actually have in one of the chapters about a,
a vision I had, I think, in 1988,
I saw a
huge rock
in space.
The moment I had this, I was in my kitchen
somewhere around 1988
and it was like, Doc, it was like
I just left the kitchen
and zoomed out into space.
That's how I felt. Like, I was just projected
out into space.
And there was this
massive rock.
And it was on fire, and it didn't make sense because you can't have fire in space.
But it was a fiery rock, and I heard the words, I have hurled a fireball towards America.
Those are the words I heard.
I have hurled a fireball towards America.
It didn't say the fireball would hit America.
It said toward America.
I think there's going to be an asteroid.
Something is going to come screeching through our atmosphere so close to the ground.
It's going to terrify people.
It's going to skim over the country like a rock going over a creek, over a pond.
And I had this feeling back in 88 as though God had.
pitched this rock
eons ago
and that rock was on a trajectory
and it had a timetable
there was an appointed day for that rock
to arrive
right
so I'm curious
Wade I'd like to know more about what
you dreamed about
back in the
in the 70s
right yeah
please let us know Wade
send us an email or communicate with us and let us know.
We'd love to hear the details of that.
Okay, everybody, got to go.
Love you. See you tomorrow.
God bless you. See you on the next morning man.
