Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Morning Manna. It's Monday, and we are delighted to have you with us.
Wherever you are in the world, whatever time of day it is, whatever platform or device you're using to access Morning Manna, it's just wonderful with us.
We're glad that you're here. And we're honored that you would set aside one hour to be with us in a Bible study class.
It says a lot about you.
Your first class, that's what it says.
You're a first class disciple.
And you deserve to be commended.
The percentage of people who devote one hour per day to Bible study, that percentage is extremely small.
So you are in a very elite class of Christians, and you need to be commended for it.
we're going to pick up in chapter 11 we started last thursday in chapter 11 and our study was
verses 1 through 6 we only made it to verse 2 so i'm going to have doc burckhart read proverbs 11 verses 1 through 6 again
and we'll start our study in verse 3 let's pray almighty god our father in heaven
father we love you and we praise you and we desire to be
in your presence wherever your presence is that's where we desire to be found and we know in your
presence there is peace and calmness and assurance and provision and safety everything we need
can be found in your presence so father we are here today to be taught by your Holy Spirit
from the book of proverbs you promised us wisdom if we ask for wisdom if we seek wisdom you promise
to give us wisdom and so father we're here to collect on your promise and we ask for
a holy spirit's anointing and unction and inspiration as he leads this class in the name of
jesus christ amen amen and welcome to a monday edition of morning man we're so glad to have you here with us
around the world thank you for joining us today and also thank you for all the precious feedback
that we received on friday's message on faith friday on the boat faith message from matthew chapter
eight we've just seen such a tremendous response to that and i pray that you're blessed by it
and i'll be sharing a link later on uh on chat where you can actually share uh friday's message
with your friends too and uh that way they can be blessed as well
But today we're in Proverbs 11, reading verses 1 through 6.
Let's read together, shall we?
A false balance is abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight.
When pride cometh, then cometh shame, but with the lowly is wisdom.
The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of transgressors shall
destroy them.
Rich is profit not in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivereth from death.
the righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness
in verse six the righteousness of the upright shall deliver them but transgressors excuse me shall be
taken in their own naughtiness god bless the reading of his word today in their naughtiness
all right so we we covered verses one and two last thursday
And today we're going to pick it in Proverbs 11, verse 3.
The integrity of the upright shall guide them,
but the perverseness of the transgressors shall destroy them.
We have to understand what's the definition of integrity
and the definition of perverseness.
You have this contrast.
As Doc has pointed out in many of these lessons,
so many of the Proverbs have,
have contrast. And so the contrast here is integrity and perverseness. Integrity means wholeness, honesty, consistency between heart, word, and deed. It's getting everything lined up inside you. Your heart, your mind, your words, your deeds. They line up. They're whole.
there's no conflict and at times you know we can have um a disruption in our integrity because we
have a conflict in one of those things it's like you know in your with your automobile your truck
you know you know when it's out of alignment you it's veering off to the right or the left
right it doesn't mean the entire vehicle is is in error it just means one part of the vehicle
needs correction so with integrity sometimes it's the heart that needs correction sometimes
it's the mind sometimes it's the words of the mouth sometimes it's the deed of the hands they
need to be brought into harmony and so then you have whole
and that's integrity so our integrity is like an inner compass and it guides our decisions with
clarity and confidence again when there is conflict then the compass is going to give you
a wrong direction what good is a compass if it's if it's off and it's it's reading
so the upright live by truth and principle not by shifting passions or schemes the the upright don't need to scheme they don't need to manipulate because their path is straightforward and god blesses their integrity because their motives are pure the direction is clear and it so you're
your integrity prevents confusion why because it seeks to please god above all else that's the solution
seek to please god above all else when you when your heart is truly committed to pleasing god
he will show you the parts of your life that are out of order you can have 90
percent of your life in order and 10 percent is off you don't lose your salvation you don't lose your
place in eternity because there's something that's not right again that's like you have a car
or truck a pickup truck and it's out of alignment and you go well i'm going to haul it off to the
salvage yard i mean that's crazy you just take it to the garage to get the alignment
the same as in our life when when you are absolutely truly sincerely committed to pleasing the Lord
he will show you the places that are out of alignment he'll take you to his garage
he'll work on you he's not going to take you to the salvage yard now religious people will do that
those are say drunk him just junk him take him away and put him in the
junkyard throw her away she's flawed she's got mistakes but that's not god but integrity is what
in alignment with the lord so the conscience the conscious of the upright is trained in righteousness
and that's a light in dark that serves as a light in dark in dark choices
right but the contrast the contrast between the integrity of the righteous the contrast is
the perverseness of the transgressors shall destroy them yes what is perverseness
something that's twisted crooked it again I've said this many times I for
years thought perverseness meant vulgar, profane, you know, foul mouth. But it isn't.
It means twisted, crooked, deceitful, treacherous. But the crooked, but the crookedness, the twistedness, the treachery, the deceitfulness of transgressors shall destroy them.
Does that make it more clear?
Transgressors twist their way for selfish ends.
Yes.
They just twist everything.
So I have a question for you.
How does one learn or obtain integrity?
And how does one learn or become perverse?
any thoughts on that i mean if integrity is our goal how do we obtain integrity and if perversance
is something we want to avoid how do we go about avoiding that well obviously um being born again
being filled with the holy spirit and having your mind renewed by the word of god
is the beginning what we are doing in this class this year in 2025 we're studying proverbs
the way to wisdom this class we are actively pursuing of integrity but by being in this class
every day we're saying to god examine us examine us examine our
our lives in light of your word where where do we stand in light of your word we're seeking
integrity but the opposite if you if you're not seeking wisdom if you're not seeking integrity
if you're not seeking the ways of the lord you're just automatically going to be perverse
right doc how many times have you heard each week somebody said well he put a spin on that
yeah she she put a spin
on her words what does that mean if you're spinning something twist it crooked right
especially like in politics the spin room right the spin room what are you doing you're
twisting the truth how are we going to tell the truth without telling the truth
isn't that what the spin is all about well technically we told the truth
that's twisted crooked deceitful that's good yeah so for the the perverse their own cunning their scheming
their plots turn back upon them the trap that they set for others ensnars themselves
lack of integrity breeds instability you have to have a true compass the compass has got
you know the north star has got to be jesus christ if not you're going to be wandering all
over the place what good is a compass that that's not set on the north star
a compass needle that's just bouncing back and forth
what good is it right
those who without Jesus Christ
and those without a commitment to his word and his ways
are like people with a compass
that doesn't work
treachery crookedness twist
you know look
we all know that
it brings temporary gain
but ultimately it collapses and at the end of their life it leads to spiritual judgment which is the ultimate loss
let's take a look at what the commentator said john gill born 1697
The integrity of the upright is what steers and governs them in all their actions.
But the wicked, by their own crookedness and treachery, are undone and ruined.
Charles Bridges, born in 1794, integrity is the polar star to guide the upright.
The crooked devices of the center prove his own destruction.
destruction.
Alexander McLaren, born 1826, the straight road is the safe road.
The crooked policy is the ruin of those who follow it.
Verse four, riches profit not in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivereth from death.
wealth has value in this life obviously but it is useless in judgment whether in temporal worldly calamity
or the final divine wrath the day of judgment it has it has value in this life but it's useless
when judgment has come.
Riches cannot buy safety or peace.
It cannot buy favor with God.
You can buy off people.
People are bought off every day.
But you can't buy off God.
Amen.
What are you going to offer him?
It's going to get him to say,
okay, I'll take it.
How do you buy off a God who owns everything, including your heartbeat?
Amen.
So earthly treasures perish and provide no shelter when God's judgment falls upon a person, a city, a state, a nation, a world.
So it's the day of wrath.
Rich is prophet not in the day of wrath.
I see three
three interpretations, all of them,
none of them exclusive.
They're all valid.
The day of wrath could be your personal calamity.
Doesn't affect anybody else.
Calamity has come to you.
Judgment has come to you.
It can be a national judgment.
Wars, invasions,
famines, pestilence, or it could be the final judgment of Almighty God upon the entire human race
from the beginning to the end. All those are the day of wrath. Right. So it doesn't matter whether
it's a personal, a national, or the final day, day of wrath. The idea here is that, yes,
riches do profit you in this life, but they will not profit you in eternity. They won't
matter after that. What will you do with riches after the day of wrath?
Not only the ultimate day of wrath, the judgment day, but they don't do you any good
in your own personal day of wrath. If there's divine judgment on your life,
your money doesn't do anything. If there's national judgment, your money doesn't do anything.
I watched a video last night.
I found a young podcaster.
I am just enormously impressed by this young man.
This is not a Christian podcast.
So there's some language from time to time in the podcast that I would prefer not to hear.
But, you know, people now in their 30s and 40s, certain words are just as part of the
language you know it's where we're at today their speech is perverse right but doc these young people
were talking about there's going to be a nuclear war what do we do where do we go this was a
serious discussion it was two hours long it wasn't crazy talk they were deeply aware that the end of the
world is near.
I thought, there's nobody there to tell them about Jesus.
I mean, they're sincerely searching.
They know a nuclear war is coming.
I thought there's nobody in this podcast representing Jesus Christ.
And they were trying to figure out where do we go when this war comes?
where will we find safety
where will we find food
where will we find provision
look
all of mankind's going to discover
that on the day of the Lord
there is no escape
except through Christ
even in this life
when you're facing trouble
wealthy people can pay for doctors they can pay for lawyers they can pay for politicians
but they can't pay god to deliver them from sin death or hell
god will do it if you do it on his terms he can do it and he will do it on his terms if you do it
on his terms and his terms are submission repentance turning from your ways and believing on his son
and when you do those things doc you know what he's a big pushover oh he's a softy i'll
tell you right now he's a softy he can't turn away from a broken heart praise god
Thank God.
He can't turn away from a broken heart.
He's a softy when it comes to broken hearts.
He's a softy when it comes to a weeping sinner.
But he sets his face against the proud.
Oh, the pride, the proud haughty looks.
That's how you, that's how you provoke God's wrath.
Luke 12, verse 20, Jesus said to the rich man, this night thy soul shall be required of thee.
Verse four, Proverbs 11, riches don't profit in the day of wrath.
But righteousness delivers from death.
Righteousness delivers from death.
Righteousness.
Faith expressed in godly living.
That's what righteousness is.
It's your faith in Christ expressed in the way you live.
To be righteous is to be rightstanding, right standing with God.
Not to be perpendicular, but right standing.
You don't want to be.
be crossways with God. You want to be right standing. If he's standing upright, you want to be
standing upright. Amen. You don't want to be perpendicular. You don't want to be slanted. You want to be
standing. That's what righteousness is. Uprightness. When you get that eye, that picture in your
mind, it becomes easier to know what it means to be righteous. Righteous has nothing.
nothing to do about being churchy.
Amen.
There's all kinds of churchy people who are perpendicular to the Lord.
And they think that they're righteous.
They're super holy and all that stuff.
No, it's like, if God is standing here, are you standing parallel to him?
Are you in right standing with him?
Or are you leaning?
Are you upside down?
Are you cross?
see be right standing with the Lord that's righteousness and it means that your thoughts of your mind
the words of your mouth the attitudes of your heart and the deeds of your hand and your
hands and your feet all are in alignment with God's ways get any of those out of line and you're
going to go to the garage for it in alignment
not going to toss you out you're not going to put you into salvage yard he's just going to take you to the garage and do an alignment so your greatest protection in times of calamity is your righteousness how do i know that because god defends the righteous all through that podcast last night doc i just my heart
heart was reaching out to these young
people saying
oh somebody would just tell you
that your safety is in Christ
Doc
the unsaved are now
talking about nuclear war and
the obliteration of the planet
the church isn't
yeah
the church isn't
talking to them
they're waiting on their rapture to get out of here hey sorry guys you're stuck down here
you'll be with the antichrist no that's not the way it works yeah so spiritually righteousness
in christ delivers us from eternal death in this world the righteous are often spared
from judgment that overtakes the wicked the righteous are justified by faith and they are secure
before god's throne okay justified by faith that's justification when somebody says when you hear the
word justification it means you've been justified by faith justification and sanctification are two
different things when you are saved when you're baptized when you're filled with the holy spirit
you are justified in the eyes of god you're perfect you're his perfect little boy his perfect
little girl he sees no wrong sanctification is
when he slides his sunglasses down and looks at you and says oh we got some cleaning up to do here
okay sanctification is the holy spirit working in your life to bring the reality of your life
in reality with what god says you are he says you're righteous and you're justified
And so the Holy Spirit works in us to bring about an alignment in our lives so that our real lives line up with what God says we are.
Is that theologically correct, Doc?
Yeah, you got it.
All right.
I want to make sure.
We're not self-righteous.
Our righteousness is imputed by God.
That's right.
We have no righteousness.
Our righteousness, according to Isaiah, is like filthy rags.
And that word filthy rags actually is it talks about when women menstruate.
And, you know, so it's bloody, it's messy, it's ugly.
You know, it's awful.
That's our righteousness.
That's the best that we can hope for.
filthy rags yes so earthly wealth will decay but righteousness abides forever riches cannot redeem
but the righteousness of christ delivers john gill born 1697
riches are of no service in a time of public calamity or in the day of God's wrath
but righteousness delivereth from death both from the sting of death now and from
eternal death hereafter Charles Bridges born 1794 when the storm of wrath breaks
riches will be a vain refuge
righteousness alone wrought in us and impute it to us
delivers from death
Albert Barnes
born 1798
money may redeem from man's anger
but it avails nothing in the day of God's wrath
righteousness alone delivers from death
and Alexander McLaren
born 1826
riches are impotent
before divine wrath
righteousness is omnipot
wealth is powerless
in the face of death
but righteousness delivers from it
amen
verse 5
the righteousness
of the perfect shall direct
his way
but the wicked shall fall
by his own wickedness
perfect
what is it what does this mean
perfect it it means upright sincere wholehearted before god it does not means it doesn't mean sinless
right god knows we will not go through this life sinless he doesn't fall off his throne
when you sin he doesn't fall backwards and roll on the floor in shock that you sinned he knows
that we are in earthen vessels he knows that he knows that we were born with a fallen nature
he knows that there is temptation he knows that there is stress and all kinds of pressure on us he
knows it and yet he says you're perfect you're perfect when you're upright sincere and
wholehearted before god even though you're you're even though you're not sinless well
rick what about folks though maybe they've lived for the lord all their lives but they don't feel
perfect doesn't matter how you feel that's right your feelings have nothing to do with this
tell your feelings to take a back seat to the word what does the word say the word says you're perfect
word says you're justified the word says you're righteous the word says you're saved
the word says you're blessed the word says you're rich the word says you're healthy your feelings
have nothing to do with it feelings and emotions aren't bad but they're not
the priority right they're not truth feelings are not truth oh doctor there's so many people
that live in a world where they think their emotions and feelings are truth they can't get
they can't rise above their emotions and their feelings most of times your emotions and feelings are
wrong and if they contradict what god says they
are definitely wrong so we go back you know you you know you can change your feelings too yes i mean
sometimes all you need is a sandwich or a nap and your feelings will change right yes sometimes you
you got to you got to stir up your faith yourself yeah sometimes you just need to sing a hymn
Sometimes you just need to lift your arms and your hands and your voices to God and begin to praise him with your voice.
Amen.
Take action.
So I go back to this compass analogy.
Righteousness is like a compass.
It directs our choices.
It shapes our conduct.
It keeps us on the straight and narrow path.
as we have studied throughout proverbs okay
Satan is constantly
tempting us to get off that path
if you do
it's not the end of the world
it's not the end of life you haven't lost your salvation
you haven't lost your place in God's kingdom
you just lost your way in this life
and he says go back and find the old pass
what did he tell Israel
go back he told the people of Israel
go back and discover the old pass
yes
the old path that your ancestors
walked in
so when you find yourself
that you wandered away you got on a wrong path
don't beat yourself up with guilt and shame
just say I got to get back to the right
path you can self-correct your your progress just self-correct don't listen to the people that want
to shame you condemn you just get back on the right path amen let them deal with they can
they'll have their own problems but don't don't rejoice when they have their problems
going to get them at some point the blameless the righteous are not guided by cunning
deceitful schemes they're not driven by self-interest but they're driven by god's truth
and the love of god and their love for his word so their integrity clears the path
it removes confusion
thy word is a lamp
unto thy feet
unto my feet
thy word your word is a lamp
unto my feet
why do you need a lamp
because when you're walking in darkness
you don't want to fall down
this is a dark world
and his
word is our flashlight, our lantern, whatever device you want to have for light.
You know, I live in a very rural place.
And it's dark out there.
It's really dark.
And there are critters out there.
Big critters.
I mean, there are bobcats.
and there are alligators
and a lot of other stuff in between that really don't bother me
but the alligators you don't bother me
when I go outside at night
I have a light
there's no way I'm going to walk around in the dark
in my house without a
light and a gun
I had to my one of the drain pipe on my air conditioning unit was clogged
why did they always clog up at night they were doing the daytime it's always like at 10, 11 o'clock at night
and right away I knew what it was you know the AC went off I knew what happened
and
you know I've got an AC unit
on each side of the house
and so I had to go out
side like
at 10, 11 o'clock at night. This was a couple
weeks ago
with a
you know
a dry shopback
and
but it was the one on the side
facing the creek
so I'm like
I'm out there by myself
I'm trying to clean a
you know and they see drain pipe in is dark and i got my back face to the creek
why does it bother me because there are big alligators in there seven feet seven feet long okay
why am i telling you us because i had a flashlight and every once in a while i was turning
round and shining that light all over the yard just to make sure that one of these gators did not come up
out of the creek and and walk towards me okay god's word is your light this is a dark and dangerous world
and there are many things in this world that will hurt you will seek to destroy you devour you
and you need his word
you cannot get through this life without his word
it's all there is to it you are not going to successfully navigate this life without his word
And I'm just amazed by people who claim to be Christians and never study his word.
I just, I don't get it.
But they have to answer to God.
That's not me.
Right.
The righteous are steady.
They walk safely because their steps are ordered.
by the Lord. Psalm 3723 tells us that the Lord orders our steps.
It's the last thing I pray every day when I, in my prayer, Lord, order my steps.
I know he does. I ask him every day, Lord, as I depart today to go out into the world, order my steps.
But the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
the wicked trips over their wickedness they don't have a lamp they're walking in darkness
and what they trip over is their own wickedness it ensnairs them it entangles them they
trip over their their own wicked nature
It's like tripping over your shoe strings, getting, you know, falling down because your shoes are untie.
I mean, this is what the wicked calls themselves to fall.
They dig pits for other people, and then they fall into it.
Psalm 7, verse 15, says, he has dug a hole and has fallen into the pit which he made.
their lack of righteousness is because they lack the word of God and then therefore they lack
guidance and they get lost on their crooked twisted paths
and whatever they trusted for gain in this world the things that they achieved by
being cunning deceitful even violent became the very cause
of their downfall.
So there's justice in this world
because the wicked fall
by the very means they choose to live.
Amen.
Matthew Henry, born 1662.
The righteousness of the upright
shall make their way plain before them,
but the wicked shall fall
by their own wickedness.
Their sin will be their ruin.
Charles Bridges, born 1794, the integrity of the upright is their sure guide.
But the wicked, who forsake the straight path, fall by the very wickedness they prefer.
And Alexander McLaren, goodness is guidance, evil is ruined.
Sin is suicidal.
It destroys its owner.
Righteousness is a lamp to the feet.
Now our last verse for today, verse six.
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them,
but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them.
Your righteousness is your shield.
And it delivers you.
from the enemy's snares, his arrows, his darts, his traps, it prevents you from falling into his traps.
It delivers you from temptation by shaping your desires towards holiness.
It delivers you from deception by providing discernment and clarity.
It delivers you from judgment for God does.
defends the righteous.
Righteousness brings God's protection.
And God will deliver the righteous out of your trials.
Psalm 34, verse 19.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous.
But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
amen out of some no out of many no the lord will deliver you out of all your afflictions
now the modern teaching today is that if you're a believer then you're not going to have afflictions
that's not what it says it's not you're going to have afflictions but the lord will deliver you
out of them that's the key right there
but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness it's interesting the word
uses naughtiness taken what does that mean they're caught they're ensnared they're trapped
they're taken transgressors fall into the very nets that they weave for others
Sin is self-entangling.
There are people who entrap the righteous.
And the righteous, if they're not walking in,
if they've allowed anything into their life that causes them to stray from the Lord's perfect path,
They can fall into a trap set by the wicked.
But just wait long enough.
Amen.
The person who set the trap for the righteous is going to fall into the same trap.
Just give them enough time.
This word naughtiness, evil desires, schemes, plots, whatever.
their naughtiness is their trap
what they pursued
for pleasure becomes
their ruin
it's
it's like a hunter
setting traps
in the woods and then stepping into them
his sin
backfires
as McLaurean said, sin is suicidal.
It not only offends God, but it ensnars the sinner.
So the sinner's greed and pride and lust and envy and everything is driving the sinner becomes the cords, the chain, the ropes that bind him.
and he can't escape without the blood of Christ.
Amen.
Charles Bridges,
the upright are guided into safety by their integrity,
but sinners dig their own graves.
Their own wickedness becomes their ruin.
Alexander McLaren,
sin is a trap which the sinner lays for himself.
Righteousness is deliverance.
Sin is bondage.
Okay.
Anything you want to go over, Doc, before we close?
No, I just, on today's message here, I think once again, that, you know, we need to really discern what it means to have integrity.
Integrity isn't something they teach you in school.
It certainly isn't taught in business school.
And it's, you know, it's not taught in Bible school either, for that matter.
Integrity is something that only comes from fellowship with God and His Word.
That's the only way to maintain integrity.
And integrity is something that is easily spotted.
You know someone with integrity.
They're not, you know, it's not hidden.
It's not, you know, it's not something they have under a cloak or anything like that.
integrity is readily revealed in the life of an individual you know people with integrity maybe you know a relative uh maybe know know someone in business that you say that man has integrity uh i always used to say about uh you know about an individual i could leave my wallet with them and there'd be more money in the wallet when i got it back that's integrity yes
And so it's easily marked, but it's very, very rare.
It's extremely rare in this world today.
But neither do people really seek it.
And that's why I was asking the question at the beginning today.
Is it something that we learned or is it a gift of grace or a little bit of both?
I think it's a little bit of both, isn't it?
I do too.
I'm reading comments, Doc.
And Gerald said, I find a fine.
these morning manna classes theologically realigning that's true it is for us too
that's good to hear gerald uh and i think that's happening because of what you know doc and i
talk about uh dog hairs or or uh fur balls in our brain religious dog hairs and furballs in our brain
religious dog hairs and fur balls in our brain cobwebs that are there from past religious training and
experiences right things we thought we knew were truth but really there's a bigger truth out there
that's right and so what what's happening to all of us in this morning man of class is
because we're doing a deep dive into the word of God the word itself
is realigning our theology
I'll tell you right now
my theology is different today
than it was five years ago
I couldn't have taught these things
five years ago doc
it really was superficial
so
I'm glad the people are
discerning that there's something
taking place in your your theology
It just means that you're getting in right standing with the Word of God.
The Word is working inside of you.
Yes.
Okay, well, listen, that's it for me today.
Well, before we go, we'd like to remind you by later this week.
We're hoping to give you the opportunity to get Megafire this week.
And so what is Megafire?
This is Rick's newest book.
We actually have it.
Look, this isn't blank.
It has real words in it, everything.
Okay.
and it's a great book I'm about halfway through it Rick so I've read one of the drafts before
and this is a lot different than the draft and so what what has what has stood out the most of
your halfway through what stood out the most well a lot of it has a reinforcement of an
understanding of the cycles and to just be aware that we if we can recognize the events in the
world around us. They don't have to dictate our life. They don't have to tell us what to do.
God does that. But we can be discerning. Jesus himself said, look, if you look at the sky,
you can tell what weather is coming. Okay? I mean, that's obvious. And with this, you're getting
a weather report of the next 10 years. And really beyond that. But the next 10 years in particular,
because as we approach the 2030s, I think this book is going to become even more important
as we continue to go in the rest of this decade and beginning in the next decade.
This is going to be really a guidebook for a lot of people because they're going to say,
you know, I read that in Rick's book.
Have you made it to the biblical cycles yet?
Oh, yes.
Yeah.
And, of course, I'm a, you know, I'm a student of biblical cycles.
and you're fought on on that.
So God's already had these cycles in place for thousands of years.
It really, these aren't new things at all.
And God even said, you know, there's going to be times and seasons
and God set cycles up in the universe for, you know,
they're in place whether you like it or not.
Now, you know, whether you accept it or not is a whole different matter.
it will give you at least some insight, because even secular folks recognize that there are
cycles in the world around us, even without the spiritual implications involved.
But as a believer, if you see these cycles in the Word of God and you see them reflected
in the world around us, you have a better idea how to prepare for these coming years.
And, you know, we're entering a time of great turmoil in the next.
few years and if you knew a storm was coming what would you do if somebody thinking right now
where are cycles in the bible i'll give you one right now genesis 8 verse 22 god said these are the
words of almighty god while the earth remaineth seed time and harvest and cold and heat and summer
winter and day and night shall not cease right those are cycles there will always be seed time and harvest
there will always be seasons of coldness and seasons of heat there will always be summers and winters
there will always be day and night as long as the earth remains those are all cycles
put into place.
And then, of course, the book of ecclesiastases is filled with cycles.
There's a time for war, time for peace.
We are in a time of war right now.
This is a time of war.
Last week, President Trump changed the name of the Department of Defense to the Department of War.
Yes.
What do you need to wake you up?
We're in a time of war.
There's going to be a horrific war.
So these cycles are there and it's at your own danger to ignore what's taking place.
So we'll have the book available.
I think it'll be on the marketplace this week.
And one of the thing about your book too, it's full of stories from your personal life too.
You know, Rick often shares different stories here on Morning Manna and other outlets about things
that have happened in his life, but he shares some of the visions that he's received through
the years, dreams that the Lord has given him, shares the dreams and visions of other people
and how it relates to these cycles that are taking place in the world around us.
And so they're going to give you additional insight and additional reinforcement to a spiritual
understanding this next fourth turning crisis. And so once again, this is going to be available
more than likely later this week. And we'll let you know all about how you can get your
copy and everything. And there's a rumor you might be doing sign copies, too. Is that true?
Yes. Leslie has asked, yes, absolutely, Leslie. I'm going to autograph books for those who
can help us. We need a big financial boost right now.
And I would appreciate it if you ask for an autograph copy.
So we'll tell you more in the next couple of days.
Amen.
All right.
On that note, God bless you.
It's been a great day here, a great lesson on Morning Manor.
By the way, I posted a link several times today to the lesson from Friday, the faith lesson.
We have had a lot of people that have watched that video over the weekend, and we are so grateful for that.
And we've had a lot of you that have asked, how can you share it?
And I've made that link available several times in our chat today.
Just scroll back through in the chat and get that link.
And we appreciate you sharing Friday's faith message.
One, probably the most impactful faith message I've heard in my 40-plus years of ministry.
For me, that's the truth.
I'm still digesting it, Rick.
It's still going through me.
And it's changed my attitude on faith.
It really, really has.
And so a sleeping Jesus is just as good as a Jesus who's awake.
That's right.
And so it's his presence.
And that's what's really struck with me.
His presence.
His presence.
His presence.
Praise God.
And you need his presence too.
Amen.
We'll see you on tomorrow's edition of Morning Manor, the Tuesday edition.
