Residents of the two counties have reported sightings of the unusual drones for several weeks. Most troubling is the proximity of President-elect Donald Trump's private residence at his National Golf Club, plus the various sensitive U.S. military installations in the area. This is True News for Friday, December 6, 2024. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's news by looking at this headline published by the Daily Mail in London. They're reporting on it. FBI probes car-sized drones spotted over Trump's New Jersey golf course. Doc, what is the Daily Mail reporting? Well, the FBI has launched an investigation into mysterious glowing lights that have been spotted over New Jersey for the past several weeks now.

Eyewitnesses reported unexplained car-sized drones over the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster and the Picatinny Arsenal Military Base in Rockaway, among other locations throughout northern New Jersey. Video footage revealed the drones featured green and red lights on their wings, and multiple witnesses described them as large as a small car. Now, these drone flights have alarmed residents throughout northern New Jersey, who said they only appear at night and hover above their homes daily, remaining active for hours at a time. We're all completely unnerved. I can't sleep at night.

When I would get up and look out my window at 2 a.m., 4 a.m., they were still hovering. That's coming from Juvie Chavalier, a Morris County resident. Others have raised concerns that the objects are not drones but unidentified flying objects. Well, Doc, the FAA sprung into action. NewJersey.com reporting after mysterious flights, FAA bans the drones over Trump's New Jersey golf course. Well, the only problem is the drones aren't recognizing the ban. Right.

So the federal government agency issued a decree saying, no drones flying over this area, and yet the drones are still there, and nobody's doing anything about it. No. So the FAA has prohibited drone flights over the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster and the Picatinny Arsenal Military Base over in Rockaway, following reports of those unexplained drones. The prohibition over the golf course was issued November 22nd and lasts until today, which I thought was odd. And the one over the military base ranges from November 25th to December 26th. Why would there be an expiration date on it?

I don't know. And why would it end today and the other one would extend out to the 26th? The FAA first started receiving reports of drone activity in Morris County, where the base is located, back on November 18th. Now, while President-elect Donald J. Trump's golf course is in Somerset County, many drone sightings have been reported in nearby Mendham, Chester, and Morristown as well. Well, Doc, former FBI assistant director Chris Swecker was interviewed by Fox News about these drones. We have a portion of that interview. I want to show it to you right now. The FBI now investigating those mysterious drones flying around New Jersey over the past month. They've been spotted hovering over military facilities, water reservoirs, and even at Trump's Bedminster golf course. But Governor Phil Murphy says there is no known threat to the public. Chris Wecker is a former assistant FBI director, and he joins me now.

Chris, how has this been allowed to go on for the better part of a month, especially within that month Donald Trump won an election? He has a property there at Bedminster, and these drones are apparently flying over that. That seems like a huge violation of everything that the Secret Service says it wants to change. So how is this still allowed to go on? Yeah, it certainly does. It's perplexing. And I don't understand why.

I mean, citizens have been reporting this for quite a while since November 22nd. So I just hope that the FBI, which is probably the lead agency in this, has actually been working this for quite a while. But that wouldn't explain why the drones just keep on coming. Secret service, there's an issue there of course with the golf course, whether Trump is there at the time the drones were there would be a significant issue. But I think it's mainly a counterintelligence issue that needs to be resolved. First and foremost, there's a, there's an arsenal there, a military arsenal there that where a considerable amount of research takes place on small arms and explosives. It's a very important facility, army facility. And, you know, we know how aggressive the Chinese have been over the last few years with the

balloons. So it, I'm, I'm interested in hearing more about these drones and why they're not doing something to stop it. I believe I asked you this question months ago when the Chinese spy balloon, like you mentioned, was flying. So I'll ask it again. Is it safe to say that our airspace is, quite frankly, not secure, even though I think the average American always just assumed that the space above them in the air was secure. I think you're right. It's that assumption that probably causes a lot of people not to report. But I think our airspace is the Wild West. It's supposed to be controlled by the FAA. It's actually illegal for someone to actually shoot down a drone, which is considered an aircraft.

So, you know, you can't take matters into your own hands. But I would encourage the public up in New Jersey or anywhere else when they see a drone that shouldn't be there, or there are several zones that seem to be working together to report it. It could be a cyber issue as well. They could be hacking from a drone, which, which if you read up on it, it's a, it's a, it's either a criminal threat where they're, you know, they're trying to do it for criminal purposes to commit fraud or, you know, there's, they're just generally disrupting things.

So many questions unanswered. We need answers for this because this just can't happen. But it does happen. It does happen. And we've had Chinese balloons. We've had drones. This has been going on, it seems like for the past year or two, and it continues. So, Doc, I was just thinking, you have drones flying over President Trump's private residence in New Jersey. What do you have to do these days to be shot by the Secret Service? Well, if we're using recent history as the measuring stick, that's missing the president. That's the only way to get shot. Then they'll shoot you if you miss him.

Yes. I mean, I honestly can't figure this out. Not the drones, the behavior of our government. So I've never been a law enforcement officer, and I didn't serve in the military. But this is what I would do. I would follow it. Well, yeah. You would think at least that.

It's got to land somewhere. It doesn't fly around forever. It's got to land somewhere. It doesn't fly around forever. It's got to land. Why don't you just follow it and see where it lands and then nab the person that retrieved it? Right.

What is so hard about that? I don't get it either, Rick. They just stand there and look, there they are again. Night after night. You're watching it with satellites. You've got all kinds of surveillance cameras.

You've got, you know, the FAA has all kinds of radar watching the sky. Where did it go? Where did it come from? It has a trail, Doc. Yes. It just didn't appear. You could track it and you could see where it originated? What was the flight pattern?

Where did it return? One trip, that's it. And is this not a concern to law enforcement at all? Doc, apparently not. So look at this next one. Well, this is Newsweek. Mysterious drone sightings expand to ocean county new jersey raising concerns near military installations where's the pentagon right but we've had these

stories here recently before uh flying drones flying over military bases both in domestically and internationally so reports of mysterious drone activity in New Jersey are expanding now with residents over in Ocean County now joining those. And southern New Jersey have reported these unexplained sightings of unmanned aerial vehicles over the past week. The new reports come as concerns grow about the proximity of these sightings to military installations. They weren't concerned before, including Joint Base McGuire and a U.S. Navy research facility. Now, these latest sightings have been reported across several Ocean County communities with residents describing large, low-flying drones during the late evening hours. Similar sightings were first reported last week in northern New Jersey,

where residents described drones flying over residential neighborhoods in wooded areas and in the area of the Picatinny Arsenal. The FAA and local law enforcement have been notified, and apparently investigations are underway. Officials have yet to confirm the source or purpose of the drones. Joint Base McGuire, a sprawling military installation in Ocean County that serves the Air Force, Army, and Navy is among those facilities where these drones are appearing nearby. And is there nobody on this basis saying, we've got to bring those things down? Well, you would think that would be the first thing that you'd talk about.

I mean, what's the commanding officer saying on the base? Turn the lights out. Turn off all the lights so they don't see us. And what are you doing? None of this makes sense. What are you doing? When I say the officials on these military bases, what is the Pentagon doing? What is the FBI doing?

What is Homeland Security? How many agencies need to fail? Homeland Security, Department of Defense, FBI, Secret Service, they're all failing. And so then you have to think, is it intentional? See? Now that's where you go. Okay, so you're not talking about a little drone, teeny weeny little toy drone. You're talking about what they said, the size of automobiles.

Yes. Okay, you have a car flying over your house. Would that get you concerned? There's something the size of your car, size of your pickup truck, and it's above your house. That's not a little toy drone. That's an aircraft well now there are new reports coming out that perhaps these drones and it was alluded to in that video that we saw here just a little while ago that maybe these drones are doing something nefarious as they roam around these

neighborhoods military installations newsweek is reporting that mysterious new jersey drones change time on clocks eyewitnesses claim. And so when the drones flew over them, their automobile clocks changed. And then after they passed by, the clocks went back to the normal time. Something weird is going on there. Twilight Zone stuff, isn't it? Another report from NewJersey.com. Drones spotted over New Jersey's

largest reservoir. Worrying local officials. Really? There have been confirmed mystery drone sightings near Round Valley Reservoir and the Hunterton County 911 Center in Flemington, county officials told residents this week. It goes on to say it's unclear why the drones

were flying near the large reservoir in Clinton and other county buildings or if they are related to the other mysterious drone sightings that have been reported around the state this month. County officials said the sightings, they're concerning, Rick. We're taking these sightings seriously and working closely with federal authorities to investigate and address any concerns. That's coming from Braden Fahey, Hunterton County's Director of Public Safety and Office of Emergency Management Coordinator. And he said that in a message on the county commissioner's website.

Now, the reservoir, Round Valley, is the largest reservoir in the state of New Jersey and the second deepest lake, according to state data. It covers over 2,300 acres and holds over 55 billion gallons of water when it's at full capacity. So if it had an aerial sprayer on it and sprayed a biological

or chemical agent into the water, would that worry the county officials? Alright, so another question. We're talking automobile-sized drones. You can't go down to Costco or Sam's Club and buy one. No.

So if I were an investigator, I'd make a list of everybody in America who sells automobile sized drones. That's the first thing I would be doing. If I were a junior intern investigator

assigned to this case, I'd say boss, I got an idea. I'm going to make a list of everybody in this country that sells drones as big as a car. What do you think about that? Oh, man, you're going to get employee of the month, maybe in parking space for that idea. And then I'm going to call them and ask them and say, hey, this is the FBI.

Do you sell drones the size of cars? You do? Okay. Hey, can you get a customer list from you? Yes, this is the FBI. This is national security, and we need your customer list. The FBI gets your phone calls,

your emails, your text messages over anything. Over anything. Yes. If you say something at a school board meeting, they can...

But you're telling me that they're not going to go to drone manufacturers and demand a list of clients? If it's China or Russia, how did they get them in here? Right. How did a car-sized drone get through customs? It's not like you go down to Costco or Sam's Club. Right. But you've got to bring it through customs, right? Right. But you got to bring it through customs, right? So what did the Chinese man say at customs?

It's my son's. It's his school project. It's a big one, but it belongs to my son. I mean, you had to get it into the country. Right. So if you smuggled it in, then what else can you smuggle in right if you can smuggle in drones the size of automobiles you can fly them across the border and come into the country what else can you where's the air force where is the air force why are we spending billions of dollars for national defense? Well, Joint Base McGuire is an Air Force base.

That's the thing. And they're not defending their own base. Now, this is just another in a series of these drone reports. If you recall, just a couple weeks ago, we reported on the mysterious drones that were flying over bases in the U.K., where the U.S. has a presence. It says a number of unidentified drones were recently spotted swarming over several Royal Air Force bases housing American troops. According to a statement from the U.S. Air Force in Europe, the unmanned aerial vehicles

were seen near RAF Lake and Heath, Mendenhall, and Feltwell in eastern England. The drones varied in size and configuration, making it difficult to identify and trace their origin. And while the number of drones reportedly fluctuated, there were a number of drones, Rick. The U.S. Air Force confirmed that the UAVs did not disrupt base operations or the personnel stationed there. To safeguard operational security, we do not discuss specific force protection measures, the statement reads. However, we retain the right to protect our installations. So this is a very strange story that is developing here. Two questions that come to my mind, Rick.

The first one is, if they're of nefarious origin, why are the lights on? Now, that's a really good question. I mean, if you didn't want to be seen, the lights would be off, right? Or you'd remove the lights. So they want to be seen.

Or else they're really dumb. Or they're not afraid. If they're foreign, if they're non-American, they're not afraid to be seen. If that's true, Doc, then we're in a lot of trouble. Right. So that leads me to ask the question, is this something our own government is doing to test our defenses? That's where my thinking leads me. Well, how many times do you have to do it to say, hey, we got a problem?

Well, obviously, a number of times, Rick. That's what I mean. I mean, what would they say in Washington? You know what? let's just stop this test we got a problem right too many people are talking no nobody's doing anything if these are test drones to to probe and see how our military responds how many times you have to do this to figure out they're not going to do anything right test is over we have a major problem but that's assuming that the Biden

administration is concerned about our national security. Now, I came across another story. I didn't get a chance to bring it over to panel, but over in Russia, they're offering bounties to Russian citizens if they shoot down drones. That's the old American way. Equivalent to about about a thousand dollars per drone and so what's happening is people are going out and buying drones and flying them and shooting them down that would be the redneck way to handle that and everything but the fact of the matter is russia takes the drone seriously why now why would they take it seriously why would they because they're in a war yes they're in a war? Yes.

They're in a war, and they know that drones can bring in weapons. But no one, I mean, other than local law enforcement and Mildred Huffington calling 911 every night at 2 in the morning. So I didn't know it was illegal to shoot down a drone over your property. You're telling me if I had a drone hovering over my house, I can't shoot it down? It is. I forget where it was. There was a story that popped up a couple days ago where a man shot a drone down over his house.

The police came and arrested him for shooting the drone down that was hovering over his house. Now, it turned out it was, I forget whether it was either the Amazon or the Walmart drones that they're testing out, but he shot it down. Well, they shouldn't be hovering over somebody's house. You know, a few days ago, I think it was Politico that first reported that President Biden was going to issue this new term, preemptive pardons, to people who could be arrested under the Trump administration. And then the Washington Post followed up the other day with this article, White House Ways Preemptive Pardons for Potential Trump Targets.

Now, the reason I'm bringing this back up is that the original Politico article mentioned Adam Schiff, Liz Cheney, Dr. Anthony Fauci as potential recipients of preemptive pardons from President Biden. But in this Washington Post article, they added another name. And so they didn't go into a lot of details about it. But the New York Post wrote an article about it. Biden White House considering preemptive pardon for General Mark Milley, who made a secret phone call to China? Was there anything wrong with making that call? Are they worried about treason?

Let's look at what the New York Post said. So the Post is reporting that senior White House officials are reportedly issuing retired General Mark Milley a preemptive pardon over fears that President-elect Donald Trump and the incoming administration will go after the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Now, this potential pardon of General Milley, who was the nation's highest-ranking military officer for part of President Trump's first term, this was reported by The Washington Post late Thursday, as Rick mentioned. Now, General Milley faced intense scrutiny on Capitol Hill during President Biden's first year in office after journalist Bob Woodward revealed that the Pentagon official placed secret phone calls to the top Chinese official before the 2020 election and after the January 6, 2021, what they're saying is a riot at the U.S. Capitol. Now, during the September 2021 congressional grilling about this topic,

General Milley admitted to calling General Li Zhusheng of the People's Liberation Army to tell him that he would personally warn China in the event of a U.S. attack during Trump's waning days in office. General Milley claimed he placed the phone call because U.S. intelligence showed China was worried about an impending strike and he wanted to allay the U.S. adversary's fears. It goes on to say in response to the phone calls, Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, President Trump's pick to lead the State Department, urged President Biden to fire Milley, arguing that he worked to actively undermine the sitting commander-in-chief. President Trump later wrote on True Social that Milley's back channel communications amounted to a treasonous act, so egregious that in times gone by, the punishment would have been death.

So Milley's going to get a pardon. Looks like all the rats and snakes that were doing business with China know that they might be held accountable. There may be a judgment day ahead for them very soon. Doc, this whole thing of preemptive pardon, I personally think it's illegal. It's unconstitutional. And you know who agrees with you? Who? Bill Clinton.

Bill Clinton does? Yes. The king of pardons? And remember, he pardoned his brother. Yes. He pardoned his brother. But his brother actually served time. Yes.

That's what a pardon is for. He pardoned his brother after he served time. It's for people who were convicted. But this idea, Bill Clinton said, you know, this idea of a preemptive pardon is a dangerous precedent that we're doing. Because basically it means you can do anything illegal, and then you know you're not going to go to prison for it. Right. If you are serving a corrupt president and the president says, now look, I'm going to backdate, or I'm going to do a pardon.

I'm going to put the date on in advance. Which he did for Hunter Biden. Right. And you serve me, you do whatever you got to do. You kill, you steal, you cheat, you commit treason, whatever you got to do. And you'll have a pardon. Right. I'll cover every single thing you did and things that you even thought about doing.

Right. So, Doc, where this is going to lead is to a constitutional amendment. Right. I'll cover every single thing you did and things that you even thought about doing. Right. So, Doc, where this is going to lead is to a constitutional amendment. It is. Yes. They're going to have to amend the Constitution to prevent it. And I think the way it should be is presidential pardon. The president should be able to pardon people who have been indicted and convicted.

Right. All right? Whether they've served a time yet or not, but they've been indicted and convicted of crimes. Specific crimes. Specific crimes. The pardon has to name the crimes and the indictments and so forth. Would you allow an exception on that for treason and sedition? In other words, you can't pardon somebody for treason or sedition. Now, see, that's where I'm at on it.

Exactly. The presidential pardon is a powerful tool and it can be used. God has sins. He has one sin that you can't get a pardon on. That's right. Blaspheming the Holy Spirit. You can't get a pardon on. That's right. Blaspheming the Holy Spirit. You can't get a pardon from the king. Right.

So likewise here, treason. And sedition, yes. And sedition. The pardons can't apply. But I would even go so far, if they're going to amend the Constitution, I would even go so far to say that the pardons have to be ratified or vetoed by the Supreme Court within 30 days. Trevor Burrus, Jr.: Now that would be an interesting...

John Dickerson, Jr.: Now you've got checks and balances, and that would prevent this kind of crazy behavior. Because now the Supreme Court would have to look at it and go, this is a miscarriage of justice. We can't do this. Trevor Burrus, Jr.: Well. One thing's for certain. There is no space in the Constitution, I mean, for a preemptive pardon. No. For a crime you've yet to be convicted of. You haven't even been accused of.

You haven't been indicted. You haven't been accused of it. Any charges, anything. Right. But only guilty people would want a preemptive pardon. Yes. If you need a preemptive pardon, you might. We already know you're guilty.

And Milley knows he's guilty of treason. Any general, and the highest ranking general, who would call the highest ranking Chinese general and say, if the commander in chief of America orders me to attack your country, I'll call you and tip you off. What is your definition of treason? If that isn't treason, what does treason look like? Well, it would look like a congressman wearing a uniform of another country.

I want to cover this tragic shooting in New York. NBC News, insurance executives' murder sparks online praise and hate. Doc, it's really scary. People are congratulating the unknown assassin. They're congratulating him. They're saying there needs to be more insurance company executives murdered. It's not just a few people. It appears to be in the hundreds of thousands,

maybe millions of people are posting these things on social media. Now, I think there's a lot of people out there with legitimate concerns about issues that the health insurance companies bring up, but not to the point of assassination. No, the people who are posting kill them. Yes. Applauding it. Applauding his death. Okay, that's scary because you know what that sounds like?

French Revolution? Yeah. Jacobins? The beheadings? Well, tens of thousands of people have expressed support, mind you, on social media for the killing of a UnitedHealthcare CEO or sympathized with it in what at least one researcher is calling a worrying sign of radicalization among segments of the U.S. population. The NBC News article went on to say, and people wonder why we want these executives dead.

Who said that? That was Taylor Lorenz, a former New York Times and Washington Post journalist, wrote on Blue Sky, that's leftist Twitter, if you will, a few hours after the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, Brian Thompson, was gunned down in Manhattan by a man with a silenced pistol. So in Blue Sky, this new social media platform, you can endorse assassinations. I guess so. Apparently. But back when the leftists were in control of Twitter, they were demanding people be deplatformed for hate speech.

And they defined the hate speech. And they defined hate speech. And I would agree. Anybody. I don't care what your political persuasion is, if you're advocating killing people, you should be deplatformed. I'm okay with that. You should be charged.

Yes, that's a threat. You're making a threat. You're encouraging the death of somebody because you don't like their politics, you don't like their business or something. So what are the repercussions of this now, Rick? Well, the Washington Post says UnitedHealthcare CEO shooting is driving corporations to bolster security. Executive protection companies are saying today that they cannot answer all the phone calls that are coming in from executives asking for security guards.

It's across the country. Executives are terrified. They're afraid they're going to be shot. Why? Because we have a communist revolution in this country. And they lost control in the November election. And now they're going to take it one step further, which is to start shooting people. Another one, major health insurance companies

take down leadership pages following murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO. This is 404 Media. So what they're noticing is that in the past 48 hours, a lot of big corporations, you know, their about page. Right. They always have the leadership team and everything. You know, the board of directors, the executive leadership team, they're taking down all the

photographs, all the names, all the contact information because the people are afraid now to be associated with a corporation. And one example of that is UnitedHealthcare. I went on the UHC website yesterday to try to get a bio on Mr. Thompson for the God Cash yesterday, and the page of all their leadership had been taken down. I mean, they had a link to it, but there were no pictures. There were no bios. There was no bios.

There was nothing there. It just simply said it was being updated. Right. And so it was like, okay. So they have already in some way caved that pressure. No. I would say the board of directors had an emergency meeting and said, get our faces off the website now. Okay. I would say spouses and adult children of board members were calling their relatives who were serving on the board saying, get your name and face off of this.

We're all in danger because you're serving on the board of an insurance company. But this is going to spread to other companies. The leftists will start targeting people in other corporations. That's what happens when you have a communist revolution. Doc, I still believe that the left is going to push Donald Trump to declare martial law. It's not that he wants to do it. He doesn't want to be a dictator. I think they're going to make him be

a hard, iron-fisted... A strong man. Strong man, okay? Because if you start having assassinations of corporate leaders and political leaders, you've lost control of the country. We'll talk... So who's the lucky country that's going to get hypersonic missiles? Well, that's Belarus, Rick. When Orashnik hypersonic missile systems fully enter service, some will be stationed in Belarus. President Putin has said the Russian president made the announcement Friday on Minsk during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko. These systems will be delivered to the Russian strategic missile forces and will be deployed in parallel on the territory of Belarus, Mr. Putin said. We have places where we can deploy these weapons with one condition, that the targets will be determined by the military political leadership of Belarus and that Russian specialists will service the deployment of the weapons, Lukashenko said.

Just like they do right now with Ukraine. Ukraine operates, but it's guided by NATO. That's right. Put that photograph back up there. Put the article back up. Yeah, there you go. So the way my mind thinks while you were reading that, say, I would like to write my own captions for articles because that would be Lukashenko saying to Putin, hey, Vlad, do you think it's possible I could have about a dozen of those hazel hypersonic missiles? And Putin saying, I got you covered, Alex.

You know, another development in that particular meeting that's going on between Mr. Putin and Mr. Lukashenko is that they have entered into a new agreement that at some point in the future, Belarus becomes part of Russia. Officially becomes part of Russia. It joins the Russian Federation. That's right. Yeah. I'm not surprised by that. Telegraph.

The West should cooperate with Russia for the sake of the universe. That's a pretty big statement. Yes. That's what Sergei Lavrov told Tucker Carlson. Mr. Carlson had an exclusive interview with Sergei Lavrov, and I watched most of it. My own view is a good interview.

It's long. The interview to me was a lot tamer than the headlines. The headlines that were put out about the interview, if you just looked at the headlines... Yeah, you would have thought Tucker Carlson had defected to Russia. No, I would have seen it as... Well, yeah, because he reads RT like Tulsi Gabbard. No, the way what I was seeing was that the headlines were... They were portraying Lavrov like he was sitting there with two revolvers, loaded guns, saying, we're going to have a nuclear war.

I mean, they were making it sound like Lavrov was, the only thing coming out of his mouth was Russia threatening to destroy the West. But when you watch the interview, it's just typical Sergei Lavrov talking in a mild tone, in a diplomatic manner. And even when Sergei Lavrov talks about nuclear war, he does it diplomatically. He doesn't even do it excitedly, Doc.

He talks about it diplomatically. But anyhow, I pulled out a two and a half minute clip. It's a long interview, but I pulled out a short clip from Tucker Carlson's interview. You can watch the entire interview at Tucker Carlson's page on Twitter. But this is part of his conversation with the Russian foreign minister. But the United States is funding a conflict that you're involved in, of course, and now is allowing attacks on Russia itself.

So that doesn't constitute war? Well, we officially are not at war. But what is going on in Ukraine is the, some people call it hybrid war. I would call it hybrid war as well. But it is obvious that the Ukrainians would not be able to do what they are doing with long-range modern weapons without direct participation of the American servicemen. And this is dangerous, no doubt about this. We don't want to aggravate the situation, but since ATAKOMs and other long-range weapons are being used against

mainland Russia, as it were, we are sending signals and we hope that the last one, couple of weeks ago, the signal with the new weapon system called Arechn, was taken seriously. However, we also know that some officials in the Pentagon and in other places, including NATO, they started saying in the last few days something like, well, NATO is a defensive alliance, but sometimes you can strike first because the attack is the best defense. Some others in Stratcom, I think, Bukinian is his name, representative of Stratcom, he said something which allows for an eventuality of exchange of limited nuclear strikes. And these kind of threats are really worrying, because if they are following the logic which some Westerners have been pronouncing lately, that, well, don't believe that Russia has red lines.

They announced their red lines. These red lines are being moved again and again and again. This is a very serious mistake. That's what I would like to say in response to this question. You can love him or hate him, but Minister Lavrov is a true diplomat. A true diplomat. So he's asked

by Tucker Carlson, are you at war? Well, by all appearances, yes, they are at war with the West. But he can't come out and say that. And he says everything in consideration for the West and being polite and yet was also firm. He said, don't misinterpret our – reluctance isn't the right word – our delay in enforcing red lines to be a sign of weakness.

We operate on our schedule, not yours. So it's, you know, whether you love him or hate him, you should respect Minister Lavrov. And actually, he has the same rank politically as President Putin in their services. I wonder how many languages he speaks. Oh, goodness. And you know he's intelligent. And that was the happiest I've seen him in a long time. I bet you.

So, by the way, I want to state this again. Several weeks ago, the tension was so thick. I mean, I was seriously, Doc, I thought we're down to hours right now. Oh, it sure looked like it. I thought we're down to hours. There's going to be a nuke in and blew out that Ukrainian military base. Shocked the West. Absolutely shocked them.

He did it at the same time that he published his new nuclear war doctrine. So I think the doctrine came first, then the hypersonic missile. And it shocked NATO, shocked Washington, London, Paris. And there hasn't been any more attack them and storm shadow missiles going into Russia for several weeks. So the demonstration of the missile worked. Regardless of what they say, the West, what they say in public, you know, Putin, he's bluffing, he's not going to use his nuclear weapons. We've crossed his red lines and he doesn't do anything about it. That's what they say publicly.

Privately, they're probing to see how far they can go. Several weeks ago, they found out. They knew that they were within hours of destruction. So, thank the Lord that things have come down a few degrees.

A few degrees. Now, if Joe Biden or Keir Starmer or any of these NATO guys give Zelensky permission to fire a missile again into Russia, you're going to see action. And that was my concern, is that Joe Biden was going to force World war three onto donald trump right and we still have what how many weeks six six seven weeks to go till donald trump's in the white house so these are dangerous weeks but right now it seems like they got the message right and the term ceasefire didn't enter the conversation until after that hypersonic missile hit Denopro.

So they changed their tactic and said, let's freeze the war. Let's have a ceasefire. Let's freeze it. Let's get as many weapons to Zelensky right now and then freeze it and just lock it down and have a DMZ like Korea. They just went back to the 1950s and got that manual and said, that's right, a DMZ. That'll last for decades, and we'll just freeze this war. But at least they backed down. And I hope it stays like this, that we can get to January 20th and Donald Trump is installed,

inaugurated as the President of the United States. Have you seen, have you noticed the difference in the response to the U.S. media to Tucker Carlson talking, going to Russia this time as opposed to when he went the first time? First time he went, it was like, you know, the end of the world, Tucker Carlson going to Russia. This time, not so much. They don't seem to be as upset this time. They're not calling him a Russian stooge or anything like that.

They're reserving that for Tulsi Gabbard and others. What do you think changed in all that? Probably, well, I think the whole western deep state right now is cooling it because of the hypersonic missile. I really do. I think they have withdrawn, and they're rethinking their strategy. And they've pulled back somewhat. So I'm glad Tucker Carlson got the interview. I'm glad he talked with Sergei Lavrov.

But I want you to see where World War III is at today. Because the West is admitting that they've lost Ukraine. And so they have gone back to Syria. And Syria is, Syria got hit by a sudden revolution. It's not a revolution. It was an outside organized attack, well organized, well funded, very secretive. Nobody saw it coming. Nobody saw this coming. Nobody saw this coming. The West was absolutely brilliant

in the way they organized this attack and recreated Al-Qaeda and brought Al-Qaeda back to life to invade Syria. And it caught the Syrian government by surprise. They lost the city

Wait a minute. Right. I know what you're going to say. How is it that a bargain store can't woo in bargain hunters. What's happening, Doc? People can't afford dollar stores. Precisely. That's what it means.

That's what it means. There's a big gap that's appearing in there that people who moved away from Walmart and moved to the Dollar Generals, Dollar Trees. Cannot even afford the dollar stores. Right. And I noticed something unusual last night driving home. The parking lot, I drive by two Dollar General stores on my way home. There are Dollar Generals everywhere now.

But I drive by two of them. Both parking lots at Dollar General were packed. I mean, packed. There were no parking spaces at either one of the Dollar General stores. And it bothered me. And I was thinking about it. The first one bothered me. The second one, I started going, all right, what's going on here? Because I remembered the article from, we actually had this set aside for yesterday. What's going on out there? Are people really feeling that kind of cars stopped on the side of the road. And I kept going and going and going.

I'm like, what is going on? Right. Why are all these cars parked on the side of US 1? What's happening up here? And then I drove quite a distance. And it's car after car after car. About a mile long, right? About a mile long of parked cars going nowhere.

And I finally get up there, and I see it's a food distribution center. A church was giving away food. Yes. And it shocked me that that many people lined up on the side of the road to get free food. Yes. I noticed that, too. There's something that's happening out there that's bubbling up. So the next story, Frontier Airlines to install first-class seats

as industry battles for high-paying flyers. Now, Frontier, that's the Dollar General of airlines. Right. And they're shifting a different direction on this. As a matter of fact, when I went up to my uncle's funeral, I flew Frontier. Okay? Got a good price and everything. I don't like flying Frontier, but, you know, it was a good deal.

Right. They bumped me up to a first-class seat. I didn't know they had first-class seats. They already have them? Yes. I didn't know that. They bumped me up them yes i didn't know that they bumped me up because i was a frontier cub or whatever all right so what are we seeing here you're seeing the two opposite polar uh sides of the u.s economy in the budget margin in the budget okay so you have a budget store that is struggling to

get budget shoppers to come in because they can't afford the budget prices and then you have a budget airline that says we've got to put in first classclass seats. You know why? Because people can't afford the budget seats. Yes. That's the point, Doc. That's it. You got it. The segment of the market that they appealed to for decades as Frontier Airlines was low-class, not low-class, low-fare, low-fare flyers. No frills.

No frills. Just the cheapest seat i can get those people can't buy the seats they can't afford the cheapest of the cheap right so frontier says well over here on the other side of of the marketplace there are people that will pay top dollar for first class seats. If we're going to stay in the airline business, we got to start moving out of the low fare price and get over here. So it means the country is polarized.

It means that there are two worlds. The middle class is disappearing. There you go. The middle class is either going up into the rich class or sliding down into the poor class. The middle class is disappearing.

I think you've nailed it right on the head, Rick. You've hit the nail right on the head. I mean, Frontier, they said, would you like to try our new first class? Now, they didn't call it first class seats. They call them premium seats. And I said, sure, I'd rather do that and sit on a metal plate. And they gave me coupons for food and for drinks. This is Frontier giving away food and drinks, which normally they charge you $5 for a can of soda or $5 for a bag of potato chips or something like that.

Not this trip. Not this trip. They were like, Mr. Burkhart, we'd love to upgrade you and love to have you try out our new premium seating. The way airlines used to treat customers? Right. Wow. Well, look at this next article. The container store is on the verge

of a possible bankruptcy filing as the housing market flails. All right? Container store. So I don't shop container store because I don't need any containers. But that's what they sell there, right? Right.

Do they have there right right containers oh i love container do you okay what what do they have more things than containers there no that's pretty much it is it just but if you need a container that's if you want something for crackers or to your car they've got a container for okay so this is uh they're based in coppell texas just outside of Dallas, Fort Worth. They've never recovered from the COVID lockdowns. They're still struggling to get back on their feet from COVID. So the container store may be the next home goods chain to file for bankruptcy as a weak housing market

and inflated prices hurt sales. So it says a weak housing market has resulted in fewer people moving houses, resulting in smaller sales of bins and dividers. Consumers have been hit hard by inflation and have pulled back on purchases of items for the home right so doc we're seeing a pattern here right a lot of americans really struggling financially but at the other extreme a a lot of Americans doing great.

I don't know who the Democrat was. Somebody got, I think it was not an individual, I think it was an organization in the Democratic Party earlier this week got burned for posting a tweet on Twitter or an ex. That said, what bad economy? The Biden economy is booming. Look at this. Travel is up hotel reservations are up everything's up and all these things are true yes but food prices are up and the thing made it made fun of i said and you complain about the price of eggs well they took the tweet down because of the backlash right see the the snooty snobby person who wrote it is unaware of tens of millions of middle-class americans who are have slid

out of the middle class and they're now into the upper level of the poverty class right but on the other side if you were at the upper end of the middle class, life is good. Things are booming. So you've got two economies in this country right now. And that's not good. Now, two other things I've noticed here locally, Rick. One is, have you noticed how many houses have gone on to the market here over the past couple weeks? Yes, because for a couple years there weren't anything on the market here.

Right. So I've noticed that. That's starting to pop up, at least in my neighborhood. It might be different in other neighborhoods. But on Zillow, suddenly there's a whole bunch of houses for sale in my corner of town. So what do you think's driving it? I think people are hurting. And they've got to sell their homes?

They're in downsides, and they're moving. They're getting out of one area and moving to another. And particularly here in Florida, insurance and taxes. Right. Man, beautiful paradise, Florida, in the past two years. Homeowner's insurance and property taxes have skyrocketed. Yes. It's hurting all of us.

Right. I mean, I'm feeling it, Doc. My mortgage jumped substantially two years ago because of taxes and my homeowner's insurance. Oh, yes. I mean, we've really taken a hit here in Florida. And I've told Susan, I said, Susan, I would not have bought this house if I had known our mortgage was going to go up this high. Oh, yeah. My taxes and homeowners insurance is more than my mortgage.

Yeah, I got reminders of that about a week ago. Do you hear what I said? When my escrow account got pinged. My homeowners insurance and property taxes each month are higher than my mortgage yes okay and my mortgage isn't going to go up because i got a 15-year note but the taxes and the insurance rates are going up so another year or two of this i don't know if i can't afford to stay in the house that i was in right it's no longer fun to me, Doc. See, this is what's happening to a lot of people. Hey, the house I bought,

it's not pleasant anymore because I'm struggling to make the payment every month. And that's that divide that's happening there. Another trend that we've noticed is here in Florida, hospitals and medical, the medical business is big business here in Florida. A lot of hospitals, like Tampa General, Cleveland Clinic, and others, are forcing people to take their PTO because they don't have enough work in the hospitals or the clinics for them. Are people healthier? Well, think about it, Rick. COVID is not a problem anymore, is it? All these hospitals and everything made tons of money during COVID.

I mean tons. Hired a lot of people, brought a lot of people on board, financed a lot of people to start up bonuses. Now they don't need them. Now they don't need them. Now they don't need them. And so there is a glut of medical personnel out there. And now a lot of people are moving out of Florida to other states because they're seeing the handwriting on the wall here. Well, you know, the solution for a surplus of doctors and nurses is a war.

Yeah, and that is a war. Yeah, that's... Okay. I'll go back to these old radio shows I listen to. And the episodes that are World War II, they're running PSAs. And those 1942, 43, 44 radio shows, they're running PSAs. If you've ever thought about being a nurse, your country needs you. Your government

will finance your education. Go to such and such a place and apply to become a nurse. Join the war effort. They couldn't get enough nurses, Doc. So if we have an abundance of nurses and doctors right now, you have a war. You put them to use.

Use those skills out on the battlefield. I'm telling you, folks, things are going to change rapidly here in the next few months. That's what I'm feeling. I've been through hard times in the past. Got through it. The Lord was faithful. But I see trouble coming. Look at the headline. This is from the Telegraph. Europe is again on the brink of financial Armageddon. This time it may not step back.

What? Where did this come from? Europe is again on the brink of Financial Armageddon. That was on December 4. Today's what, the 6th? Okay, now, this is what's so interesting. The 4th was Wednesday, right? Right.

So, Doc and I had dinner Wednesday night. That article was published Wednesday morning. Right. We had dinner Wednesday night with a visitor. I'm not going to disclose the name for confidential reasons, but this individual is employed in the financial services industry as an advisor to wealthy families. That's all I'm going to say. And this individual said to us during the dinner that major European banks were on the verge of closing. This individual manages money of families that have hundreds of millions of dollars. and this individual said those in the know were i mean the two of us our four ears were perked up we're listening oh yes this person is saying those in the know meaning the people at the top the

people who have a lot of money know that the financial system is extremely shaky right now, that it's being kept from the public, that they're using various stories to cover up what's going on and to divert attention away from failing banks. And I said, what are your rich clients doing with their money? And the answer was, precious metals. Precious metals, gold and silver. That's right

i just found it you know we don't believe in coincidences on wednesday the telegraph said europe is again on the brink of financial armageddon and that night we're having dinner with a visitor who advises wealthy families, and just happens to say at the dinner table that major banks in Europe are on the verge of collapsing and that their clients are moving their money into precious metals. And this individual said these are banks at the top. Oh, yes. Not mid-level banks, but banks at the top. The big ones.

The big ones in Europe. And that there are some governments in Europe that are on the verge of collapse because of it. And we're talking countries like France. That's what this Europe is, again, on the brink of collapse. Could France collapse? In fact, right now, France is going through another government change over the budget.

Yes. And so about, I forget how many years ago, five, six years ago, I think it's been that long, there was a news story in Europe that Switzerland,

the Swiss army, had an emergency drill drill an emergency plan the scenario was that there was a financial collapse in france and the french army invaded switzerland to steal the gold hidden in switzerland in the vaults. The Swiss army was prepping for a French invasion to get all the gold that the people have stored in Switzerland. Okay. I'll give you three choices, three chances to guess the name of the company

We are delighted to have you with us. I don't know how many months of 2024 you have been with this Bible study, but we started the gospel according to St. Matthew in January of this year. And today we begin our study of the last chapter of Matthew, chapter 28. And we will look at verses 1 through 8.

Gracious, heavenly Father. Father, we thank you for this wonderful day. We thank you, Father, for this wonderful year as we have gathered every morning to study your word. And Father, you have faithfully taught us and enlightened us and illuminated our hearts and minds. So, Father, we now begin our study of the last chapter of Matthew. And we invite the Holy Spirit, as always, to take his seat at the head of the table and direct this Bible study for the glory of Jesus Christ and for the edification of his church in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. As Rick said, we are in the final chapter of Matthew here as we finish out this year of the study in the Gospel of Matthew.

We'll be reading verses 1 through 8 today, and so if you've got your Bibles, please read along with me as we share the Word of God together. Verse 1, chapter 28. At the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven

and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. And for fear of him the keepers did shake and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye, for I know that ye seek Jesus which was crucified.

He is not here. He is risen. As he said, Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead. And behold, he goes before you to Galilee. There shall you see him. Lo, I've told you. And they

departed quickly from the sepulcher with fear and great joy and did run to bring his disciples word. God bless the reading of his word today. This is what it's all about, Rick. Amen. It's interesting, Doc, in terms of the months.

As we enter into the Christmas season, we're studying the resurrection. So we're studying where this all began with the birth of Christ. We're now studying why he came to earth. Why was he born in Bethlehem? It's for this reason that we're studying now. Amen. Because without the resurrection,

none of us would have a future. We'd have a future, but it wouldn't be a good one. So verse one, in the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the otherary to see the sepulcher the the greek term opse is better verb used to denote a time that is late in the day uh typically referring to the evening or a period after a significant event

it it can imply a time after sunset or time following a particular occurrence. By substituting the English word end, the King James translators changed the meaning of the verse from saying after the Sabbath to at the end of the Sabbath. Right. Which implies that the Sabbath ended on Sunday morning at daybreak. It's a very subtle change. That version justifies the belief, which is the primary Protestant belief, that Jesus rose from the dead after daybreak on Sunday morning. That's the Roman Catholic Protestant viewpoint.

I've stated this many times. I believe he rose from the dead sometime after the first day started on what we Westerners call Saturday night and Sunday morning. We've taught this many times over the past year. In the Eastern culture, Sunday, the first day of the week, it wasn't a weekend. It's the first day of the week. It's the work day. Sunday started at sundown on what we call saturday night

that's because the the eastern culture particularly at that time marked days as beginning at sunset and the night transitions into the next day. So, if you read it the way it should be, the King James says, in the end of the Sabbath, what it should say is now after the Sabbath. Right. The Sabbath was over. King James is implying is the Sabbath has just ended. The sun has come up. The Sabbath has just ended.

It's Sunday morning. It's time to go to church, right? Which is where the Catholics and the Protestants are going with it. So it's early morning the visit took place early on the first day of the week which we call Sunday so it's either

just before dawn or right at dawn it's marking the beginning of a new week and it's the beginning of the resurrection narrative so what we can say about the dawn is that it symbolizes the renewal the problem of Jesus' promises yes and this is how we get Sunday

to be known as the Lord's Day so absolutely the Lord rose from the dead on the first day of the week but the first day of the week. But the first day of the week begins what we call Saturday night. Right. It's just the Westerners have a different concept

of marking time. Right. And unfortunately, every Christmas play, every Christmas movie, you know, that tells this has Jesus being resurrected. Or Easter. You're talking about the Easter movie. And so it's imprinted not only in our minds, you know, theologically incorrect, but also culturally. Yes. So it's unfortunate, but that's why we do these Bible studies like this,

in order to let's walk people through the Word and give them a complete understanding. It's important that he rose when he did because it fulfills what he said about being in the grave three days and three nights. That is essential because Jesus said this is the only sign that would be given to you, to the people who would not believe. The only sign would be the sign of Jonah, and that would be just like Jonah was in the belly of the great fish three days and three nights, so shall the Son of Man be in the belly of the earth three days and three nights. It's very important to understand that and to believe it.

It's as important to believe in that as six days of creation or anything else in the Bible. Jesus said it, but it fulfills so many things in Scripture, and it fulfills his promise of a single sign. As important of all the signs He did, He healed the sick, He raised the dead, He opened blind eyes, but He said the sign for belief was resurrection. That was the sign to believe.

Nothing else. You may believe Jesus is a good man. You may believe he was a great prophet or a wonderful teacher. But you must believe the resurrection to be saved. You must. Yes. Everything hinges on it. The fact that Jonah was in the well for three days. Once again, we see God's marvelous pre-planning of everything.

You know, I can imagine Jonah inside the belly of the well saying on the first day, I got to get out of here. You know, the Holy Spirit said, no, you got two more days. Why do I have to be here three days because we're going to need it thousands of years from now because jesus is going to say the sign shall be jonah jonah in the whale for three three days um so poor old jonah had he had to slosh around in the in the belly of the well for three days just to fulfill his role in the play. That's right. By the way, I don't use the word Easter.

I don't think it's a sin to say it. I'm not one of these people that go, oh, you shouldn't say it i don't and i'm not one of these people that go oh you shouldn't you know you shouldn't say it i don't like i don't prefer the word because i know i know the origin of the word uh and it was then changed who did it that the king james translators yes they inserted the word easter in the scriptures it that. The Greek does not say Easter. You're absolutely right. It says Passover. All right. So they, Easter, the word Easter is a pagan word.

And that's how you get all the stuff about Easter eggs and fertility and stuff, because that word comes from paganism. And so I don't use it. I refer to this day each year as Resurrection Day. It has nothing to do with any goddess. So, again, if you use the word, it's culturally acceptable, and 99% of the churches use the word Easter

because they don't know the origin of the word. And it's in the King James. So, hey, it's got to be right. It's in the King James. It's got to be right. It's in the King James. But it's not right. It shouldn't be there. The King James version is the best version that we have, but it's not perfect. The best version is the original Greek. Yeah. But since very, yeah, since very

few of us read Greek, we read English. And the King James is the best version, the most accurate version in English, but it has mistakes in it. Yes. The Bible has no mistakes the bible has no mistakes translations have mistakes get that in your head the bible has no error no mistakes translations have mistakes so we get back to the visit, the visitors. Matthew mentions Mary Magdalene and the other Mary. So he says, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary. Well, there's a lot of Mar's in the New Testament. So the other Mary was the mother of James and Joseph.

Joseph was the birth name of Barnabas. But there were others because Mark says also came Salome. And Luke said also came Joanna and others. Yes. So, by the way, that wasn't unusual to have a group of women to come and prepare a body for, you know, the best way we put it today is embalming. You're going to have a group of women. Remember, they'd spent the day before yesterday, if you will.

They'd spent the day Friday preparing the spices and everything that they're going to be used. Then there was the weekly Sabbath that occurred, and so there was a day delay there. And so the dawn of that next day, when daylight was available, because you couldn't work in the dark, daylight was available. They arrived at the tomb with spices. And usually there was a group of women, not just one woman or two, but a group. And maybe one, you know, Mary Magdalene, maybe she got there first ahead of everybody else, and then the other Mary showed up, and then the others, but the idea was that you had a group of women that would take these spices, and they would rub it into the body of the deceased in order to preserve the body. They, you know, massage this, you know, rigor mortis had probably already set in by this time on most bodies, and they would rub that in. They didn't do traditional, they didn't do modern day embalming

like we do today, where they remove organs and all the other stuff. It was all together. But there was never the opportunity to do that. And so that also fulfilled scripture in that Jesus's body would see no corruption. And it's important to note on that, that his flesh saw no corruption while he was in the grave. He did not rot, didn't smell, didn't do anything like that. So, but it was traditional for the women to do this, not the men, but the women. It's also significant, Doc, that Almighty God chose women, the descendants of Eve, to be the first humans to see the empty tomb and to encounter the risen Christ. Yes. tomb and to encounter the risen christ yes so women became the primary witnesses

at the birth of the church yes the resurrection this is the new covenant and women were chosen by god to be the first witnesses very important witnesses. Very important. His appearance to the women honored their devotion, and it of elevating people that the world considered weak so God himself the father said I'm going to use the descendants of Eve who I made to be the weaker vessel and I'm going to elevate them and I'm going to put them at the top and they're going to be the first to see the resurrected christ remember um the sin nature is passed through the men right that Mary did not pass on any of her fallen DNA to Jesus. Now the Roman Catholics explained that away by saying, well, Mary was sinless.

Yes. No, she was born with a fallen nature, but she did not pass the DNA of her fallen nature to her baby, Jesus. That tells me that the fallen nature is passed through the DNA of a man. Right. So, Doc, is that another reason God chose women to be there to see Jesus ahead of the men. Well, of course, women gave birth to humanity through Eve. Mary gave birth to the Savior.

And now women are at the tomb. God loves women. There's some sort of a mindset among some men that women have a inferior nature or their second class or anything like that. God loves and honors women, especially his mother. But these were devoted disciples. And that's another thing that people miss, too. These weren't just fans. These weren't just, you know uh women that just tagged along no these were disciples they were they were women that were probably sitting at the feet of jesus along with what we considered the 12 uh that heard these messages these parables

these teachings and were just as you know knowledgeable uh about the things of God as any of them. God, or man, and in today's modern Western world, that word man, you know, is toxic. But man, M-A-N, represents the human race. God created man, male and female, in his image. Man, the human race, was created in the image of God, and they were created male and female. Yes. in the image of God and they were created male and female. Men and women are both created in the image of God.

There's no superiority, no inferiority. They're created in the image of God. God chose to make mankind male and female. No transvestites mankind male and female. No transvestites. Male and female.

See, all this stuff going on in the world today about transvestites, it's satanic rebellion against creation. Right. Now, although the women were chosen by God to be the first humans to see the resurrected Jesus Christ, we also have to admit they did not go to the tomb expecting to see a resurrected Christ. They went there to prepare a body for burial. They went to prepare for death, not life. But at least they were there.

So they came to anoint Jesus' body with spices, which were the burial rites at that time. the burial rites at that time. The burial rites had been interrupted by the Sabbath. So yes, God chose women to be there to see the resurrected Christ, but they didn't go expecting to see a resurrected Christ. They went there out of love and devotion to anoint his body with spices.

Again, the guys were nowhere to be seen. So we give credit to the women. They at least went to the tomb. You know, one thing that we see in this narrative is a step-by-step process, an empty tomb, an angelic message, personal encounters. There's a systematic plan that's unfolds in these scriptures it's not haphazard all done according to plan verse two and behold there was a great earthquake for the angel of the lord descended from heaven

and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat upon it. But we got a significant event, a great earthquake, not a tremor, not a shaking, a great earthquake. Again, you have to think about Pilate in the city of Jerusalem, the Sanhedrin, the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the high priest.

Here again, the ground is shaking. When is this going to stop? We killed that guy three days ago the ground is still shaking when are things going to go back to normal i don't think the great earthquake was just located at the at the tomb it was just outside the city of Jerusalem or just I mean it's all one area right there it's not outside the city

so the earthquake either took place I mean most likely it took place before the women arrived either during the resurrection or just after. You know, the Bible doesn't tell us. The Son of God returning to life in his body and creation shook, Either during the actual resurrection or at the completion of the resurrection, creation shook. The Son of God is alive. He's back in his human body.

All God, all man. And this earthquake speaks of God's presence and majesty, the triumph of resurrection over death. What happens at the end of the world when just before Christ comes back? A great earthquake. That's right. The greatest earthquake ever in the world.

So there's an earthquake. At his crucifixion, there's an earthquake at his resurrection. There's an earthquake at his second coming. You know why? Because it's just wherever Jesus goes, stuff is happening. That's right. The way I look at it, Rick, is the earth itself is bowing down in worship to the creator. Yes.

Yes, creation. Creation is saying, we're worship to the creator. Yes. Yes. Creation. Creation is saying, we're going to get some relief. We've been groaning under the weight of sin. We're going to get some relief. The son of God has been resurrected. There's hope. So now an angel,

the angel of the Lord, the angel of almighty God, descended from heaven. So now, what does this represent? It represents divine authority and divine involvement on the events taking place on earth. And the angel's appearance was accompanied by dazzling brightness. This angel was wearing clothing that was like lightning, white as snow, which always symbolizes God's glory. Now, as we've said many times, the angel rolled back the stone, not to allow Jesus to walk out, but to allow humans to walk in.

Yes. So it wasn't an image of Jesus pounding on the stone. Let me out of here. I got out of Hades. Now I can't get out of this tomb. No stone was going to keep him in there. The stone being moved away was to allow people to get in to see that the Savior was not there.

Behold, he is gone. He is risen. How did he get out of the tomb? He walked through the stone. He walked through it. We'll see, you know, we studied it in the book of Acts,

all right, that when the disciples gathered in the upper room, Jesus walked through the walls. Yes. He just appeared this these physical things are not physical to a resurrected person all right that's hard for us to comprehend matter is only real to those who live in a dimension of time, space, and matter. But when you transcend it, when you've been resurrected,

when you have a glorified body, matter doesn't matter. It's not physical anymore. Your existence transcends the material world now I like the fact that the angel it he didn't stand on the stone he sat on it yeah he is that is to me it's cool he didn't stand up on it and go hey look look at me i'm a great angel i'm standing on the stone no he sat down on it cool and calm and relaxed saying, my boss defeated death. Pretty cool,

wasn't it? What took you all so long? Yeah. My boss, Jesus, he defeated death. I'm just going to sit here and smile and enjoy it. He defeated death.

And Luke and John tells us that there were two angels. Yes. So there was one sitting outside. Matthew only mentions one, but Luke and John mentioned two. And so there was one sitting on the stone outside and there was another one sitting inside.

And I suspect the reason Matthew only mentioned one is because the one he mentioned did the talking. More than likely, yes. Okay. He did the talking. He's the one

he was in charge. I think he was the superior angel to the other one. So, we move on to the next verse here. Verse 3. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. I just mentioned this a moment ago. His countenance, his facial expression, the aura around him was like lightning. What does that look like?

Was he flashing light? Brilliant flashes of light coming off and out of this guy, this angel? It wasn't that his countenance was like a bright light. His countenance was like lightning. Yes.

There's action going on here. You know, I've got lights on in this room, but they're not flashing lightning bolts. So there was something happening with this angel. His raiment, his clothing, white as snow. so there was something happening with this angel his raiment his clothing white as snow white in the bible always represents purity holiness righteousness no stain purity purity um so the the the the angel's countenance was was dazzling i don't know what words to describe

dazzling radiant all inspiring again it's like flashes of lightning yes and this radiance was reflecting the divine majesty of almighty God of whom he served but you see this description of angels throughout the Old Testament

Daniel 10 Ezekiel 1. The clothing, the raiment, white as snow. Right. Again, it all represents purity, innocence, sinlessness, victory, triumph. And that they had been in the presence of God. Yes. Yes. sinlessness victory, triumph and or he had been in the presence of God yes he came

from heaven and he came from heaven from being in the presence of almighty God and he came with God's divine authority so a couple of things. Of course, Daniel speaks about this in several

different places, talking about the Ancient of Days there. But if we go even further back in the Scriptures in the Old Testament, remember when Moses was up on the mountain and when he came down from the mountain, his face shone because he'd been in the

presence of God. In fact, it shone so much that he had to put a veil over his face because people were like, whoa, you know, the brightness of his countenance, but he'd been in the presence of God. And because with God, it's nothing but light. I mean, it's just light. And that light just punctures everything, every living cell, every piece of DNA. Nothing can stop this divine light from expressing its countenance on everything that it touches. yes so think about angels sorry they're divine authority they they come to earth with divine

authority they they they depart heaven they come down to physical earth and they have divine authority so uh let's let's compare them to law enforcement officers. Doc and I are in Indian River County, Florida. We have a sheriff's department. We have sheriff's deputies. An Indian River County sheriff's deputy, I must obey here in Indian River County if I crossed the county line he doesn't have any authority he's lost his authority he only has authority in Indian River County his badge says that badge on the Indian River County deputy says, I have authority in Indian River County.

Now, there are Florida State Police, state troopers. They have authority and jurisdiction over the entire state of Florida. So if I leave this county and I get stopped in another county in the state of florida by a florida state trooper i can't ignore him he has authority in the entire state but if i leave florida go into georgia uh that florida state trooper has no authority but if i move into georgia or any other state and a u.s marshal there you go or an fbi agent or any federal law enforcement officer stops me it doesn't matter which state which territory which island inside the united states of America, doesn't matter where I'm at, they have authority.

If I leave, they have no authority over me. If I leave the authority, I mean, you know, the confines of the United States, they don't have their authority. The angels come with badges that says the entire universe, the whole universe. The whole cosmos. We have authority everywhere. On every planet.

On every asteroid. Everywhere. We have authority. This is a universal law enforcement badge. And we represent the king of the universe. So when you think about angels like that, that they are, in addition to their role in heaven of worshiping the Lord,

they're primarily servants. And who do they minister to? The saints, you and me. Their primary duty is to minister to you and me. And they have authority. They have authority anywhere in the universe. They have authority over this entire planet. If you leave the United States and go to Japan, they have authority in Japan.

If you live in Japan and you go to Hawaii, they have authority in Hawaii. They have universal authority. I don't think any of us think about the presence of angels in our lives. But they are ministers. Ministers to the saints. Yes. And they are here. So verse 4.

And for fear of him, the keepers did shake and became as dead men. Modern English says, for fear of him, the guards shook and became like dead men. For fear of him, the angel. They had never seen a soldier. They had never seen a police officer that looked like this guy. They never saw a Roman soldier radiate with lightning bolts. They had never seen a uniform that was brilliant white,

radiant white. They never saw a uniform that glowed had light coming off of it remember there was no electricity back then they had no concept of anything like how are you doing that you're glowing not only is your clothing glowing but you're glowing yeah the the guards the Roman guards that were sent there by Pilate on request of the Sanhedrin they became like dead men well what does what is dead if you had to do it your imitation

of a dead man what would you do you'd fall down and lay on the ground and not move you're frozen that's what happened the Roman guards collapsed they're flat out on the ground and they're not moving if you'd walked up you would say they're dead they are completely out they can't deal with what they're seeing it's it's overwhelming they began to tremble violently and then they passed out yes they passed out of through fear they were overwhelmed by fear because these angels the two angels

they were unlike anything they had previously encountered now maybe they only saw the one because the other one was inside the tomb because the verse says for fear of him right so they're only seeing one angel they would have been double dead if they'd seen two of them this for fear of him. Right. So they're only seeing one angel.

They would have been double dead if they'd seen two of them. Double dead. Not just dead, but double dead. Yeah, that's really dead. You've got to remember, if this is a Roman contingent, let's say it's the detail that also did the crucifixion, which some

commentators kind of think it might have been. These guys are hardened, you know, guys. They've seen blood and guts. They've seen it all. I mean, they may have killed men. They may have, you know, marched in wars. And they've, you know, they've seen, of course, if they were the crucifixion detail, they've seen death on a daily basis.

But what they saw that day was enough to cause them to collapse and be as dead men. Think of the most hardened criminal that you know. Think of anybody, the most despicable, you know, evil person. And yet when they encounter a divine being, the righteousness of that divine being just causes you to collapse. Now for the believer, that's a recognition of the divine grace and holiness of God. But for the unbeliever, it's a condemnation of we're not worthy. We are unrighteous.

We are sinful men in the presence of a divine being. Doc, I was just thinking about what you said. So these soldiers, they're some of the toughest that Pilate had. They were battle-hardened. They had been in wars. They had been in battles, skirmishes. They had faced mobs.

They had hunted down violent criminals. These are tough guys, and they've been in some very tense situations and didn't flinch with fear. But now, they're passed out because almighty God struck those guards with terror and he engraved his power on their consciences

he compelled these battle hardened Roman soldiers to feel the divine significance of the moment that they were experiencing. Now, Rick, let's fast forward to the end of time, the final day, when Christ cracks open the eastern sky and all the divine brilliance of the resurrected Christ comes in the clouds. And what does the Bible say about that final day?

That men would try to hide themselves in the ground away from that divine light, that divine presence that's going to permeate everything. And beg the rocks to fall on them yes they'd rather be crushed by boulders than to be crushed by this god in the sky yes men's hearts failing them for fear of the things coming upon the earth. Yes, when Jesus shows up, the unsaved will be overwhelmed with terror and fear. One other thing about this, about them falling as dead men,

doesn't mean they died. It just means they falling as dead men. It doesn't mean they died. It just means they were as dead men. But when Jesus arrives and in the fullness of his glory in everything about him, do you understand now why the earth and the heavens burn up? They have to burn up because this earth and everything in it

is infected with sin. The heavens themselves are infected with sin. And when the divine presence of everything, you know, this is restrained. This is just an angel sitting on a stone. Imagine when Jesus breaks open the eastern sky with all of his divine presence. now you understand why everything gets burned up it doesn't get remodeled does it isn't going to be a fixer-upper or anything like that it burns up and even the ashes themselves burn up because that's fine present that's how powerful divine is i still just i i have this image in my mind of this angel in the just greatest uh uh you know just as cool and calm as you can be i you know i i it's like i can imagine him with a knife and and a stick and he's just whittling a stick.

He's just sitting there. He's relaxed. Hey, we just we just did the resurrection. How cool is that? My Lord just overcame death. By the way, he's got the keys of hell and death in his hands. He's out here walking around. And the soldiers completely flip out, pass out, look like dead men.

And the angel's like, did you see something? What was it? What terrified you here? But the women, notice, they had fear also, but they received something that the soldiers did not receive. They received immediate comfort and reassurance from the angel, and that restored their hope and faith there was no comfort to the soldiers but there was comfort from the angel to the women the angel spoke words of consolation and joy to the women but he spoke no cons no consolation no, no comfort to the soldiers. So what we see here is the differing responses of the godly and the reprobate to the same experience. Same thing's going to happen when Christ comes back. As Doc was saying, the wicked are going to run, look for caves to hide in.

The righteous are going to stretch out their arms and say, take me up, Jesus. Same image, same sight, looking at Jesus in the sky. Part of humanity is going to be terrified. Another part of humanity is going to be terrified. Another part of humanity is going to be joyful. Yes. Your life now determines your reaction then. so what we see is how God's actions can simultaneously comfort the elect and terrify the unelect. He can silence his enemies and cause his disciples to break out in singing.

One appearance. One group is struck silent. The other group is joyfully singing. One group is joyful, excited. Another group is terrified. And all he's done is appear. What makes the difference? How you're living now on this earth.

Verse five, I'm going to hurry up here. And the angel answered and said unto the woman, fear not ye, for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. Don't be afraid. I know you're seeking Jesus. You're seeking the Jesus who you saw crucified. So these are the words of comfort.

Fear not. Told a woman first. Don't be afraid. Don't be afraid. I know that you came seeking Jesus. Don't be afraid. So the devotion of these women to jesus was unparalleled they followed him to the cross and then they followed him to the tomb

they just didn't believe he would come out of the tomb but within the confines of their limited faith, they at least went to the tomb. And God honored them by saying, you're going to be the first to see the resurrected Christ. The guard's fear was rooted in judgment. The women's fear was met with grace. See, the same thing in life.

Things can come upon the world. The unsaved will react in fear because it's judgment to them. But the righteous will react to the same things, but God will give us grace. That's why there's no need to worry the things coming upon the earth. God will give you grace. The world will be terrified, but grace will come upon the earth. God will give you grace. The world will be terrified, but grace will come to the church.

He speaks of Jesus who was crucified. He's about to tell these women, girls who have no idea what just happened. That cross of shame you're going to discover is a symbol of glory and honor and God's reconciliation with mankind. You know, I can't say ladies and gentlemen because only the ladies were there

but the angel was like ladies I'm about to introduce to you the one and only resurrected Jesus Christ that angel wanted to speak it so much like girls get ready he's not in the tomb he is not here marvelous has happened so

he says don't be don't be afraid i know who you seek jesus who was crucified crucified then we get to verse 6 he is not here for he is risen as he said come see the place where the Lord lay he's not here he's risen just like he told you come come inside I want you to see the place where his body was lying. And you can see for yourself, he's not there. Come and see. Come and see. He is risen as he said. Hallelujah.

The fulfillment of Jesus' prophecies about his resurrection. Those women, the rest of their lives, testified of what the angel said. Can you imagine talking to these women? Tell me again, Mary, tell me again this story. You walked up to the tomb. Now tell me again exactly, you walked up to the tomb now tell me tell me again exactly when did you see the angel what did you feel when you saw the angel what did the angel say to you again she these women told this story countless times until they died they were the first eyewitnesses. Yes.

Those women were honored all the years of their lives. Church pastors saying, ladies and gentlemen, I have here in our congregation one of the women who was there at the tomb. Boy, can you imagine that testimony service. Put that on the church sign.

Speaking today, Mary Magdalene, I saw the empty tomb. Now there's a sermon, Doc. I saw the empty tomb. Come and see the place where the Lord was lying. You need your eyes, need to see the physical evidence. You're going to tell this story the rest of your life.

It's important that you go in. Women, it's important that you go in. Women, it's important that you go in the tomb. You have to go in the tomb so your eyes see it, and then you can witness this all the days of your life. Yes. As if the angel said, don't just take my word for it. Yes. You go in.

It's important. It's crucial that you see it. Grab an eyeful of this. Grab an eyeful of this grab an eyeful you think me sitting on a rock is something take a look over here yes um praise god Praise God. So what we have is, we go back to Garden of Eden. Death began with woman. But to women, the first announcement of life is made.

Glory. That'll preach. God is so good. Glory. That'll preach. God is so good. Amen. And just look at the shortness, the brevity of the angel's remarks. He didn't make a big speech. Didn't have to explain all the theological implications of it.

Just go in and look. I can see him pointing. All you need to know, he's not here. I can see him pointing. Go in there. Go in there. And what's in there? There's another angel in there.

So the tomb tour guide was inside. The angel outside, he was the promoter. Step right up, folks. Walk in and see the empty tube you go inside there's another angel who's the tour guide ladies as you see here this is the great blows this is a tomb do you see any dead bodies in here ladies did they say those things i don't know but they probably did but the angel said you know the angel you know the inside couldn't keep the grin off his face look ladies look do you see any dead bodies in here? What are you looking for? You're looking for a dead man?

There's no dead men in here. Just grave clothes. Oh, yes. It looks like there must have been somebody here, and he left these clothes behind. He didn't need them. And they're folded. He was so calm and cool that he folded up everything and put it in a nice neat pile just to show you that everything must be in proper order he didn't like jesus didn't like i gotta get out of here before

they find out i'm resurrected he goes now i'm gonna fold up everything and put them in a nice neat pile because my mother, Mary, she taught me this. My mama, when she gets here and sees this, she's going to say, he folded them just the way I taught him. Do you ever think about that? He was doing it for his mother. Mama Mary taught me to fold my clothes, that when I got up in the morning, make my bed and fold my clothes and keep my room neat. Mama, look at this. Look what I did for you. It's your boy, Jesus.

I'm not dead. I'm alive, Mama. Oh, could just I could have church right now Oh verse 8 and they they departed quickly from the sepulcher with fear and great joy and did run to bring his disciples word. They were afraid and yet they were full of joy. They ran out of the sepulcher and they ran to

town to tell the men with great joy. Yes. With great joy. with great joy i preached a christmas message once rick many years ago called run with the word run with the word and it was a a message to encourage people today to run with the word what's the word he is risen he's not word. What's the word? He is risen. He is risen. That's the real Christmas message right there. He's not here. He's risen.

Run with that word. Run with it. Don't walk. Run with the word. Really, the essence of the gospel message is he is born and he is risen. The son of God has been born on earth as a human baby. And the son of God, as a man, has risen from the dead.

That's the gospel. That's it. And if you believe it. And are baptized. You shall be saved. That's the gospel. And so we should run with great joy. We should run with fear.

The fear of the Lord. And with great joy. Fear and joy. That fear wasn't a bad thing that was the fear of the lord they weren't hiding they weren't terrified with a negative fear they were they were full of the fear of the lord and they were simultaneously filled with great joy. Yes. And they ran with fear and joy to tell the word. And those should be the earmarks of believers today, that we run with fear and joy. Fear that God's word is absolutely true, that he fulfills every single one of his promises. And joy for those same reasons.

Yes. All right, Doc. Let's go to the Lord's table. All right. And enjoy the meal. In fearfulness. In fearfulness and joy. Yes.

So, praise God. Well, we appreciate you being here with us. This is Friday. And as usual on Fridays, we participate in the communion the Lord's Supper where we remember the Lord's death and resurrection in the Holy Meal and as we always do and it's appropriate we end on this particular verse here in Matthew 28 8 where it talks about that fear and joy because the when we approach

the lord's table it has to be with that sense of of both fear and joy not fear in the sense of well god's getting ready to smack us down or something like that no but the fear of his holiness his righteousness his ultimate purity you know when we talked about the angels there that they're shining they were shining other, they're shining, they were shining. Their countenance was shining. They were shining because they'd been in the presence of a holy God. And holiness is not, and righteousness is not something that's very popular or talked about.

You don't see too many YouTube videos or TikTok videos talking about the holiness and righteousness of God. And yet, without those things, there is no God. holiness and righteousness of God. And yet, without those things, there is no God. God himself is holy. God himself is righteous. And his people should be holy and righteous. And that's why every time we approach the Lord's table, we should do an audit, an accounting, if you will, of our own lives and where we stand with God. Do we stand holy as he is holy?

Do we stand righteous as he is righteous? There is no holiness in ourselves, of course, no righteousness in ourselves, but only comes from the God of heaven and comes through forgiveness, through the grace of God that was purchased with the blood of Jesus Christ. And so as we always do before we partake of the Lord's table, we prayerfully ask the Lord to search our hearts for anything that may stand between us and him that would somehow be a hurdle to us receiving the fullness of His grace and mercy in our own lives. So Rick, if you don't mind, would you intercede for us?

Would you pray for us today, asking the Lord to search us, to make sure that all things are well between us and Him before we partake of this hope most holy meal of course gracious heavenly father father you are aware that all of us have sinned in one way or another since the last time that we have gathered and father we humbly repent and ask for forgiveness. Wash us clean with the blood of our Savior so that we may go and pure and white and permitted to sit at your table. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen.

If you have the elements of the Lord's table there with you, we're going to pray the Lord's blessing over those. As Rick mentioned, just bread and either red wine or grape juice would suffice. And we are going to ask you to join with us in blessing these elements as we remember the Lord's death, as he commanded us to do. So let's pray. Almighty God, in your tender mercy, you gave your only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to suffer death upon the cross for our redemption. He offered himself and made, once for all time, a perfect and sufficient sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.

He instituted this remembrance of his passion and death, which he commanded us to continue until he comes again. And so, Father, we ask you to bless and sanctify with your word and holy spirit these gifts the bread and wine that we may partake of his most blessed body and blood christ our passover lamb has been sacrificed once for all upon the cross therefore let us keep the feast hallelujah on the night that he was betrayed our lord j Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and then he gave it to his disciples, saying, Take, eat. This is my body, which is given for you.

Do this in remembrance of me. The body of our Lord Jesus Christ which was given for you preserve your body and soul to everlasting life this is the bread of heaven take and eat in remembrance that Christ died for you after supper Jesus took the cup and when he had given thanks

he gave it to them saying drink this all of you for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many, for the forgiveness of sins. Whenever you drink it, do this in remembrance of me. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord. The blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, which was shed for you, will preserve your body and

soul to everlasting life. Drink the cup of salvation in remembrance that Christ's blood was shed for you and be thankful. Behold the Lamb of God. Behold him who takes away the sins of the world. And blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. This sacrament is the gift of God for the people of God. Feed on him by faith with thanksgiving. That Christ died for you. Praise God. Always an honor to share the Lord's table with hundreds of believers around the world, Rick. Yes.
