Starting point is 00:00:00 following program is made possible by the faithful prayers and financial support of listeners just like you. To find out how you can help, and nothing but the truth, so help us God. I'm Doc Burkhart. Joining me from Amman, Jordan, right now is True News host and founder, Rick Wiles. Rick, welcome to the program. It's good to see you again. Hey, Doc. Good to see you, too. Hope all is well back in the USA. Things are going well here in Jordan. It's a late night going on midnight, but it was a very good,
Starting point is 00:01:03 productive, blessed day. Well, great. And I'm sure we'll have the opportunity to talk more about it here as we proceed with the program. Rick, we've been praying for you and praying for divine appointments and divine connections. And so we're just asking the Lord just continue to open doors there in Jordan as he already has. It has. Today was a very, very productive day. And, you know, Doc, several things happened today on the way to the meetings. You know, we're getting people here in Jordan who are watching True News, who are coming up to me and speaking to me saying, I watch you, I see you. And they thank us for telling the truth. So I'll give you two examples. I had a scheduled meeting with a high-level government official. And he decided this afternoon that it would be, he preferred to have a meeting
Starting point is 00:02:11 outside of his government office so that it would be an unofficial meeting, just a relaxed get-to-know-you meeting. And so he called a very prominent wealthy businessman here in Jordan, a very prominent family, and asked if he could use their conference room to meet with me just to have an after work meeting, a get together. So I was taken over to the headquarters of this corporation and the two owners came into the room to participate in the meeting. Again, it wasn't a meeting, it was just a casual get together. And the one owner looked at me and said, I know you. You're the news guy. I watch your videos. Wow. And he said, you're the one in the meeting? I said, yes, sir. So the meeting started off just, you know, it couldn't have been any higher just for the beginning of the meeting. Wow. And then, Doc, tonight at dinner, we were sitting in an outdoor patio.
Starting point is 00:03:34 The weather is a little bit cooler here tonight, but we were in an outdoor patio, and this gentleman came over to the table and said, I want to shake your hand. And I stood up and he said, I want to thank you for telling the truth. Those are the words that came out of his mouth. He said, I watch your program and we respect you for telling the truth. And so this is what's happening here, Doc. There are people here in the Middle East who are watching true news. And we really are developing a growing audience in the Middle East. It is quite humbling, but it's also very exciting to know that, Doc, you and I are making an impact across the Middle East. It's interesting that they both said that, you know, you speak truth, as if truth is a foreign concept to a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:04:47 But truth is our currency here at True News. And so that more than anything else was probably one of the highest compliments they could give you there, right? It absolutely is. And it's a big encouragement to keep going. And we need to move forward with producing Arabic videos of true news. True news needs to be translated into Arabic language every single day. There is a hunger for true news. And what's happening here, Doc, is that just everyday average Arabs are translating true news on their own and posting true news to social media. That's right. And so some of these videos that have been translated by just local people have reached millions of views on the Internet.
Starting point is 00:05:41 And we didn't know anything about it. We didn't know this was happening. It's really amazing. It's an incredible testimony to the longevity of this ministry and the impact that we've had over the years. And now God is opening up a new set of doors at this stage of the game in the life of this ministry and is opening amazing doors there for you in Jordan, of course. You're there all week here this week, and you're there for business reasons more than anything else this week, you know, in preparation for our trip later on in the year, November. And so we're expecting to hear many more exciting stories as we proceed through the week, Rick.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Yes, we will. I'll be leaving here Thursday night, and I'll be back in Florida Friday. But just keep praying, Doc. The prayers are working. Good things are happening. Amen. Well, Rick, there's lots of things that are happening in the world today, especially as it relates to Russia and the Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:06:50 And if you're ready to jump into the news here. Yeah, let's go. Yeah. So one of the things that's been happening throughout the day today here, as far as the media is concerned and worldwide news reports, is President Putin was supposed to address Russia this evening. And this was scheduled to be earlier this evening. It's already past time. They've delayed the speech from the last word here. Don't know if they're going to try to do it, but it's getting very late there tonight. We'll probably do it some other night this week. But this was supposed to be
Starting point is 00:07:24 a speech where Vladimir Putin was talking about some of the different things that are going to be happening here over the next few months, where they're expecting to move in the full mobilization. Both President Putin and his defense minister, General Shogun, were set to speak this evening. We don't know the reasons for the delay, but Vladimir Putin was set to address Russia tonight. What he expected is to order a full mobilization of the country's military. The president's highly unusual direct message to his people was supposed to be the first since the announcement
Starting point is 00:07:58 of the so-called special military operation to invade Ukraine in February. Now, this comes as pro-Russian authorities in the Donbass revealed that they will hold referendums on joining Russia. And these referendums would be highly unlikely to be free and fair, according to international observers. But if these territories vote to join Russia, it would give Putin the justification to launch a full invasion of the region He would also be able to station here as fearful nuclear arsenal in Ukraine as he would claim the territory as part of his own country further escalating tensions of an apocalyptic strike now you do have a Just a tinge of editorial bias in that particular quote there but Rick what the story is basically is all four of the
Starting point is 00:08:46 eastern provinces of Ukraine are scheduled to have referendums later this week, starting on the 23rd through the 27th. And on those referendums is the opportunity for those particular regions of Ukraine to actually join Russia and become part of the Russian Federation. And this has stirred up a lot of concern in a lot of different political corners around the world. Your thoughts on this first story here, Rick? All right. So this confirms what you and, surmised last week. The Ukrainian army launched a surprise counter-offensive against Russia, and it was planned and executed and managed through the Pentagon over many, many months. And they caught the Russians by surprise. And it was described as
Starting point is 00:09:45 the biggest counteroffensive since World War II on the European continent. And so apparently, the Russians suffered heavy losses and gave up a lot of territory that they had conquered since February and pushed the Russians back towards the Russian border. And, Doc, what you and I said last week was Putin has two choices. Concede failure and leave or declare war. I think they're on the verge of declaring war. I agree with you. When you called me today or sent me a text message and told me what was going on in Russia with this planned speech, that was the first thought that came to my mind. Putin would declare war tonight on Ukraine and give Ukraine an ultimatum, maybe
Starting point is 00:10:49 48 hours, 72 hours, the capital city, Kiev and flatten the city. He's got his, he's at a place where he has to do something extremely bold or he is going to be humiliated. Yes. So it sounds like they're getting ready to, well the votes are going to take place coming up very soon. What is it? 23rd.
Starting point is 00:11:34 23rd. And those regions of Ukraine are going to vote to join Russia. Russia, most likely the Russian military will take up strong positions inside that former Ukrainian territory. And he may move nuclear weapons into Ukraine and then draw the line and say, this is the new border of Russia. Right. So other than that, Doc, he doesn't have much choice other than to go total war and flatten the capital city of Ukraine. And I don't know if he's ready to do that. Well, the referendums are the key here because everything that Russia is trying to do is trying to make it as legal as possible. RBC Russia has this to say today.
Starting point is 00:12:34 The Kremlin has planned Putin's statements on the referendums that we were talking about earlier. President Vladimir Putin is set to speak tonight. By the way, Rick, we just got word that's going to be 8 a.m. tomorrow, Moscow time. So they're going to be doing that tomorrow morning in Russia now. So Mr. Putin's speech and Mr. Shogo's speech will be tomorrow morning. What time is that Eastern? What is that Eastern time?
Starting point is 00:12:59 That would be, I guess, about 1 in the morning, so our time. But they're rescheduling for 8 a.m. tomorrow, Moscow time. And he was supposed to be speaking on that, but speaking regarding referendums in the territories of the LPR, the DPR, Kursan, and the Zaporozhye regions. The RBC outlet was also told this by three sources close to the administration. This is pretty much common knowledge out in all outlets now. On Tuesday, representatives of the
Starting point is 00:13:31 LPR and DPR announced that referendums in these territories would be held from the 23rd to the 27th. That's later this week. And they said this is in order to ensure conditions for the exercise by referendum participants of their right to vote and security for referendum participants, members of referendum commissions, observers, media representatives to determine the days of voting in the referendum from 923 to 927. And that was a statement by the chairman of the People's Council of the LPR, Denis Voroshchenko. He clarified that the following question would be put to the referendum. Are you in favor of the LPR joining Russia as a subject of Russia? The results of the referendum are scheduled to be announced no later than five days after
Starting point is 00:14:18 the vote. Now, over in the DPR, Denise Pushulin introduced a bill on a referendum on joining the Russian Federation as a subject and asked the deputies to support it. Pushulin also appealed to the president of Russia with a request to consider the issue of the republic joining Russia as soon as possible if this is supported by the residents of the DPR in a referendum. Now, just adding some comments to this, Rick, we have a template for this in the past. That template is Crimea, right? Yes. It's the same thing. If the Russians sponsor a referendum in an area that wants to join Russia, the West says it's a sham election. If NATO sponsors a referendum in a region that wants to join NATO, they say it's democracy. That's right.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Hey, by the way, 8 a.m. will be midnight Eastern time. Okay. All right, so we'll need to be watching the news here later tonight to see what's happening there. Another quote, this is from the Sun UK outlet. Vladimir Putin appeared poised to go all in on his war in Ukraine today, sparking fears of an escalation in fighting that could drag in NATO and spark World War III.
Starting point is 00:15:52 In a day of rapid-fire developments, Kremlin stooges, this is their saying, in Ukraine's Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, and Kurshan regions, all simultaneously announced referendums on becoming part of Russia between September 23rd and 27th. And RT chief Margarita Simoian said this, judging by what is happening and what is about to happen, this week marks either the eve of imminent victory or the eve of nuclear war. I can't see any third way. Would you agree with that assessment there, Rick? Well, Doc, I saw that statement about an hour ago, and it really was shocking to see a senior editor at RT, RT.com, Russia Today, actually say we are rushing towards a nuclear war.
Starting point is 00:16:51 Everybody should be very concerned right now. Because this is setting up. I mean, we're at a point in time where all sides are having to make a choice at this point, whether they're going to go all in or not at this point. Yes. Doc, the Pentagon organized and created the strategy for the Ukrainian army to carry out that counteroffensive. And according, I think it was the New York Times that reported it might have been the Washington Post. And they said that the planning started early last summer, probably May or June, and that U.S. military planners knew that the Ukrainian army had to launch a counteroffensive before winter
Starting point is 00:17:40 because Putin was going to have the upper hand in the winter and that they had to do something before winter and they caught him by surprise. I mean it's obvious that that the Ukrainian army caught the Russians by surprise and they suffered a big defeat. Well, the U.S. and NATO and the European politicians and war planners and so forth, they're thinking that this is a great victory, but it's actually very dangerous because they have now put a wounded and angry Russian bear in a corner. And that bear is not going to could happen before the end of 2022. And that's a nuclear war. And in this situation, this time of year, really, Russia has the upper hand.
Starting point is 00:19:00 They're a winter nation. They hold the cards on energy to Europe right now. Europe is in no position to go into a war in winter, especially this winter, are they? They're not, Doc, but that's why they carried out this strike at the end of the summer, the beginning of the fall, so that they wouldn't be in that position by winter, because by winter, Europe will not be able to in the vice. They preempted Putin's strategy, and they put him in the vice in September. This is a very drastic action. He's going to do something bold. And it could be his last stand. It's like we have to win this now or we're defeated as a nation
Starting point is 00:20:26 that's right because once nato knows we can't defeat ukraine how are we going to defeat nato that you got a good point there and so well a former russian president dimitri medvedev who is an active social media user and quotes the bible quite a bit, had this to say on Telegram regarding the referendums, explaining his position on it. It says, the referendums in Donbass are of great importance not only for the systemic protection of the havens of the LNR, DNR, and other liberated territories, notice he says they're liberated already, but also for the restoration of historical justice. They completely changed the vector of Russia's development for decades, and not only for our country, because after their implementation
Starting point is 00:21:12 and acceptance of new territories into Russia, the geopolitical transformation in the world will become irreversible. Encroachment on the territory of Russia is a crime the commission of which allows you to use all the forces of self-defense but it is no less important that after the amendments to the constitution of our state not a single future leader of Russia not a single official will be able to reverse these decisions that is why these referendums are so feared in Kiev and in the West. And that is why they need to be carried out. He's making it very clear, Rick, that this is of historical consequence here. These referendums are the statement by Russia. It said this is Russian-speaking people.
Starting point is 00:22:00 This is Russian territory. We're drawing new lines for Russia right now. Yes. Let's put that lines for Russia right now. Yes. Let's put that back up on the screen. Let's go through this line by line. We'll go down to the second paragraph. Because after their implementation and acceptance of new territories into Russia, the geopolitical transformation in the world will become irreversible. So he's saying that once these territories of Ukraine
Starting point is 00:22:34 vote this week to join Russia, it will never change. It's done. And Russia will not give it up. Now, this is what caught my eye. Encroachment on the territory of Russia is a crime. Doc, he means not only the current boundary of Russia, he means the new boundary of Russia that's going to be on the map next week. That's what I believe too. Yes, that's what I'm reading.
Starting point is 00:23:10 Now, let's finish that sentence. The commission of this crime allows you, meaning Russia, to use all the forces of self-defense. That's the nuclear arsenal. That's the Russian strategic nuclear forces. Well, and that's the reason there, Rick. Once again, Russia and China both,
Starting point is 00:23:46 you know, they follow the rules. You may not agree with the rules, but they follow the international rules when you come to this. The other thing I saw in that particular quote by Medvedev is that it also talked about that this opened the door for new territories, not just into Russia, but the geopolitical transformation in the
Starting point is 00:24:06 world will become irreversible. We could see a lot of things changing over the next few years. You know, like Taiwan becoming fully part of China, China having the ability to move in and saying, this is our country. We can do whatever we want to do with it. Yes, and I'm hearing, as I mentioned yesterday, just, you know, dinner talk. I'm hearing bits and pieces of information here in the Middle East that there may be new boundaries of the Middle Eastern countries in the near future. Not complete wipe out of countries, but maybe some countries are going to lose territory and others are going to gain territory and new alliances. There's a lot happening here that is going to change the geopolitical map of the Middle East. One thing
Starting point is 00:25:16 which, you know, and I heard it again on this trip, but I heard it months ago the first time I was here in Jordan, is the reconstruction of Iraq. Iraq has never been reconstructed from the war with the United States. But Egypt is going to send 1.5 million workers to Iraq to rebuild the country. I remember hearing that on the last trip that we were on, that they were talking about those kind of numbers. But they're talking 1.5 million?
Starting point is 00:25:54 Yes. Not at one time. Maybe in increments of 100,000, 200,000 workers at a time. But a total of 1.5 million Egyptian workers will be sent to Iraq to rebuild the country. The Middle Eastern leaders have huge plans. Doc, I didn't get over to the Saudi border. I got close to it, but I didn't get to the border. I was told that they have already started construction of the line. Already? That's what I was told. Also, massive amounts of real estate, we're talking sand dunes, on the outskirts of Aqaba in southern Jordan, going down to the Saudi border,
Starting point is 00:26:50 massive amounts of sand dunes have been flattened for construction. There's something huge going on here. Rick, do you think that they're building all that for the workers and everything that are going to be building the line across the border? No, I believe that there's a, I believe, no, that's real estate opposite the Red Sea. I understand. That's prime real estate. Right. But I mean, it's massive, the development that's down there. I mean, we're talking tens of thousands of residences and businesses. And right up against the Saudi border and just a few minutes away from where the proposed line is supposed to be over in Saudi Arabia. We've been asking the question, who are they going to be putting in all this housing and everything?
Starting point is 00:27:41 And we've talked about some different ideas. And so. And there's talk, there's talk that across the Red Sea and Eilat, Israel, that the city of Eilat is going to become the Las Vegas of Israel, that there will be casinos and Israel has just built a brand new international airport there. There's a lot of things happening here in the Middle East. So when Medvedev talks about geopolitical changes, I think he means more than a small swath of Ukraine. Now, we have this from your active. Mr. Medvedev says he favors incorporating Donbass into Russia. We've already made that clear from his Telegram channel. So one of Russian President Vladimir Putin's top allies said on Tuesday he favored holding referendums in the two eastern Ukrainian regions
Starting point is 00:28:35 in order to formally make them part of Russia, a move that would seriously escalate Moscow's confrontation with the West. The statement by Dmitry Medvedev, a former president who is currently deputy chairman of the Security Council, marks a hardening of Russian rhetoric on Ukraine and is the strongest sign yet that the Kremlin is considering going ahead with a plan that Ukraine and the West have said would be illegal. Now, officials in the Russian-controlled southern Kurshan region on Tuesday have also requested a referendum on joining Russia.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Medvedev suggested that incorporating the LPR and DPR into Russia, collectively known as the Donbass, would be an irreversible step once completed, as we read in the Telegram channel. Anyone then attacking them would be assaulting Russia itself, which would, under its own law, be entitled to respond in self-defense. All means of self-defense, he said. Encroachment onto Russian territory is a crime which allows you to use all the forces of self-defense. This is why these referendums are so feared by Kiev and the West. And so that's the latest there from Mr. Medvedev and explaining that. Now, Rick, other things that Mr. Putin has been saying, he had a big meeting with a lot of the leaders of military producers that produce weapons and everything for Russia.
Starting point is 00:29:58 That meeting was held earlier today, sort of a corporate war council for companies. And he made it very clear to them, we're ramping up production. He told them, this is what we're going to be doing. And in part of that, he expressed the reason why we're doing this. This is from ABC News and from the AP. Putin blasts U.S. attempts to preserve global domination. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday blasted what he described as U.S. efforts to preserve its global domination, saying they are doomed to fail. Now, speaking while receiving credentials from foreign ambassadors to Moscow, Putin said that the objective development toward a multipolar world faces resistance of those who try to preserve the hegemony and global affairs and
Starting point is 00:30:46 control everything, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. He also added that this has succeeded in doing so for quite a long time, but it can't go on forever, regardless of the developments in Ukraine. And so basically he's drawn the line in the sand here, Rick, that this is not the way we're going to be doing business anymore. And he spoke those comments. They were receiving the newest ambassadors to Russia. And so he's talking to all the different diplomats and ambassadors to all the different corners of the world and said there's a new there's a new sheriff in town, basically. Yes, there's going to be multiple sheriffs. That's what he's saying. He's not saying that Russia is going to replace the United States as the single sheriff.
Starting point is 00:31:39 He refers to unipolar, one polar power source in the world. He's saying that we're going multipolar. And so it means there's going to be multiple sheriffs in the world. And they're not going to allow one sheriff to claim jurisdiction over the entire world. Yes. entire world. And that is a direct message to the United States of America and NATO, saying your days of running the world and telling everybody what to do, your days are over. We're not going to do it anymore. And we're prepared to fight. That's what's happening right now. And Doc, it goes back to this redrawing of the world map because what I've been saying for several years is that
Starting point is 00:32:32 globalization is dead for the time being. For now. Yes, for now. It could be dead 10, 20, 30 years. We don't know. But it is dead right now. Globalization is now dead. Now, there are globalists who want to revive it. But globalization is now dead. And so the battle is between the globalists who have been defeated in their scheme for global domination. They've been stymied.
Starting point is 00:33:12 They've been blocked. And there's a new power bloc coming up in the world, and it's an eastern bloc. And it includes Russia, China. I believe India will join it just those three countries right there think of the population yes india china russia probably pakistan if if most of asia falls in line with it which i think they will, maybe with the exception of Japan and South Korea. But they will be eventually gobbled up. You know, half of the world is going to be inside this new bloc. You'll have Iran in it.
Starting point is 00:34:00 You will have countries in South America, Nicaragua, Venezuela, possibly Brazil. Brazil is already in BRICS. Yes. So Brazil could be part of this new alliance. You could see Mexico join it. There's going to be, the world is going to be split in two There will be a west and an east There will be two military blocks
Starting point is 00:34:32 There will be two internets There will be two banking systems Two world banks Two IMFs Everything will come in twos That's where we're headed right now. And the risk is that this gets out of control and it eru fingers off the nuclear triggers. We will get through this time without a nuclear war, but the United States will no longer be I don't know if I should. I'm in Jordan, okay?
Starting point is 00:35:27 But Joe Biden gave Jordan $10.5 billion last week. And Jordan is now the third largest recipient of U.S. aid in the world. Number one is Israel. Number two is Ukraine. Number three is Jordan. I didn't realize that. Wow. Yes. But I'll tell you something that His Majesty King Abdullah said just a few weeks ago. He said the presence of Russia in Syria is a stabilizing force in the Middle East. And suddenly, the United States government said, you know what?
Starting point is 00:36:19 You are taking care of a lot of refugees. And why did Jordan get the refugees? I think 1.3, 1.5 million refugees from Syria. Well, that's the war that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton started.
Starting point is 00:36:39 And ripped apart Syria. And Putin came in. This is back in 2011, Putin and the Russian military came in to defend Syria. And Obama, remember Obama's famous red line? Yes. Remember Obama said I draw a red line and you better head and cross it.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Well, Putin crossed it. And he told Obama, we're not going to allow you to take over Syria. So Obama backed off. Obama and Hillary Clinton, Victoria Nuland and John McCain went over to Ukraine and started a revolution in 2013. That's why we're in this mess right now. So what I'm saying, Doc, is you and me, all of us who are, we're living through a historic time. 10, 20 years from now, people are going to look back and go, wow, the world changed in the early 2020s. Completely changed. Like the maps are different.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Everything is different. That's what we're experiencing right now. It is historic. It is monumental. And I don't know how to emphasize it stronger to tell our audience that we are witnessing, we are living in a globally monumental transformation of the world geopolitical power and the economic system of the world. And the dollar will no longer run the world. Yes.
Starting point is 00:38:44 And we see that change. The dollar's not going to go away. I don world yes and we see that the dollar's not going to go away i don't worry about the dollar's not going to go away but it's not going to be the dominant reserve currency it will be for half the world well rick we see that change taking place right now. Every day you look at the markets, you see it changing. You see digital currencies on the rise. You see so many things happening. One of the things that's probably going to be a big impact in changing all these different aspects of the future maps of the world,
Starting point is 00:39:18 the only sure bet, Rick, right now is to invest in map companies. That's a good investment. So looking at an article here, Rick, this is from DW.com. One of the factors that's causing this east-west divide is over energy. Now, I thought this was an interesting article. You saw this earlier today, and you sent it over, and we'll pair it with the other articles because it almost seems like they're talking out of both sides of their mouth regarding the energy situation in Europe. First of all,
Starting point is 00:39:51 German gas storage right now, 90% full ahead of winter, despite Russian cuts. And this sounds like a positive article, but you've got to get dig down into it to get really what the warning is and listen to this gas storage facilities in germany are more than 90 full this is according to data released by the aggregated gas storage inventory a european energy data firm the german government has planned for 95 percent of storage capacity to be filled by november the storage is seen as essential for russia to get through winter without Russian gas imports. Now, this is where it gets iffy, though. If everything goes well, if everything goes well, savings in Germany are high.
Starting point is 00:40:35 And if we have a bit of luck, so we got two ifs there with the weather, we will have a chance at getting through the winter comfortably. Economy Minister Robert Haback said on Money. That means, however, that the storage facilities will be empty again at the end of winter, in this case, really empty, because we are going to use the gas, he added. Rick, that article sounded positive, but really, there's a lot of scary statements in there, isn't there? You better believe it. He simply admitted what you and I said months ago, that even if they fill up their tanks and make it to January or February, they're still going to be in the winter and then the tanks are going to be
Starting point is 00:41:28 empty. Even if they make it to March, the tanks will be empty like zero, nothing. Not for manufacturing, not for residential, not for anything. For nothing. No cooking, no hot water, no utilities, used gas for the production of electricity. The whole country is going to stop. That's why I'm saying we're in a very dangerous zone right now.
Starting point is 00:42:07 The warmongers in the West who pushed Russia into this war, they are risking the lives of tens of millions of people. And I just hope that sanity will come into the minds of these people and world leaders will back off and say, what are we doing? We can't allow a nuclear war to take place. You remember the same Medvedev today who said what we just read a few minutes ago.
Starting point is 00:42:48 Last week he quoted Revelation 9.18 about one billion people dying. It's the same man. He's aware of what is going to happen if this standoff is not diplomatically resolved. And it doesn't appear as if the EU, NATO, and the United States are in any mood to back away from what they have intended. So they want Russia's land.
Starting point is 00:43:24 They want Russia. um they want russia's land they want russia but let's be honest about it there are powerful wealthy people who want russia's resources that's what this is about they want russia to fall to collapse and they want to go in and take the oil and gas and the gold and the lumber and the wheat and everything else. That's what they're after. Well, this is a story coming out of Financial Times, and the EU is seeking emergency powers to prevent a supply chain crisis. And so we just came out of that other article there. Brussels is seeking emergency powers to force member states to stockpile key products and break contracts during a crisis
Starting point is 00:44:14 such as the war in Ukraine or the coronavirus pandemic. And that's according to plans revealed by the European Commission on Monday. The legislation, which intends to facilitate public procurement of critical goods and services, would deter the world's leading exporters, such as China, Commission on Monday. The legislation, which intends to facilitate public procurement of critical goods and services, would deter the world's leading exporters, such as China, from initiating similar measures without first informing the Commission. They said the single market emergency instrument would give the European Commission, the executive body of the EU, ample space to declare an emergency.
Starting point is 00:44:46 Brussels would then be able to trigger a number of interventionist measures to ensure the availability of goods, for example, by facilitating the expansion or the repurposing of production lines, the EU said. Now, Margaret Fitzstager, the EU's executive vice president in charge of competition, said the COVID-19 crisis made it clear. We must make our single market operational at all times, including in times of crisis. We must make it stronger. We need new tools that allow us to react fast. And here's the key word, collectively.
Starting point is 00:45:21 Collectively, Rick, as in collectivism, which is another word for communism, right? You got it. And that's the next step there, a central economic system. I broke out in hives. I'm scratching and itching just listening to you read that quote. Anytime bureaucrats say they need emergency powers and they need to make the government stronger, you know what's coming. And then to say COVID taught us that we need stronger government, we need more rules, we need more regulations. I don't want more covet regulations and they're good they're going to declare a a crisis obviously and they're going to use like hillary clinton never let or you know rahm emmanuel right never let a crisis go to waste
Starting point is 00:46:23 and they're going to get more power and if there isn't a crisis go to waste. They're going to get more power. And if there isn't a crisis, create one, right? You got it. So if you're living in Europe, the EU socialists are going to grab more power this winter while you're shivering in the freezing cold that they brought upon you. Now, we've been talking about this crisis, this energy crisis, this manipulated energy crisis that's coming to Europe. But we've been talking about it as far as late fall, early winter.
Starting point is 00:46:55 But in reality, it's catching up right now. Here's this story. This is out of Daily News Hungary. And fuel shortage to come next week at many petrol stations in Hungary. And so gas and oil giant mole will only be able to deliver, listen to this, 25% of the fuel needed starting from September. Now imagine here in the U.S. if fuel supplies got cut back 75% within a one-month period. How disruptive that would be to our total society.
Starting point is 00:47:32 And yet Hungary is going to be facing that now starting the 1st of October. So the crisis is coming within weeks, Rick. It is. It's here. And, Doc, the financial shockwaves are coming within weeks. Get ready. There are going to be shockwaves coming this fall. Another article. This is from DW. Germany now, after seeing all this, on track for a recession and high inflation in 2023, says the central bank.
Starting point is 00:48:03 Germany's economy, the largest in Europe, is heading for a slump that could last into next year, the Bundesbank said on Monday in its monthly report. The signs of a recession for the German economy are multiplying, the report said. The central bank pointed to unfavorable developments in the gas market after Russia shut down the Nord Stream gas pipeline earlier in
Starting point is 00:48:25 September. Now, listen to this next quote. Although rationing could be avoided, the Bundesbank said companies will nevertheless be forced to reduce or halt production. Therefore, the economists believe that the probability of GDP declining in the approaching fourth quarter of 2022. That's just weeks away. And the first quarter of 2023 has increased considerably. Last quarter, the German economy managed to grow 0.1%. However, the Bundesbank's economists predict a slight contraction this quarter with a more marked decline in economic output expected to follow in the last three months of the year and into 2023. So they're expecting some major adjustments there as we go into the end of this year, Rick.
Starting point is 00:49:15 And anytime they say that a recession is coming a quarter or two away, don't believe them. That means it's already here, right? Hey, you're right. Keep that up there for a moment. Go back to the top. Although rationing could be avoided, the Bundesbank said German corporations will nevertheless be forced to reduce or halt production. So whether they ration or not. Well, that is rationing. If you're told to shut down, your gas has been rationed.
Starting point is 00:49:59 See what they're, okay, Doc, this is what I see in this. The Germans are not going to allow the German people to shiver in their homes through the winter But they're going to force the corporations to shut down So you won't have any place to go You'll be able to stay home in your warm house, but you won't have any work to go to because your corporation will be shut down so that you can have heat in your house. That's the plan. I'm telling you, Doc, I just described the German plan. It's a lockdown. It's going to be an energy lockdown this time. It's an energy
Starting point is 00:50:47 lockdown. You get to stay in your house and stay warm. There's no place for you to go because all the businesses will be closed. You're locked down. But be happy, your house is warm until the end of winter. And then we don't know what we're going to do. They won't have anywhere to go or anywhere, any way to cook food or anything else at that point. So, well, bringing the economic troubles back here to home, this is from Financial Times as well. The Federal Reserve is under pressure to back up its hawkishness with rate projections. Federal Reserve officials are under pressure to prove that they are serious about stamping out elevated inflation by backing up their hawkish rhetoric with a new set of interest rate projections set to be published this week. Now, following its two-day policy meeting, the Federal Open Market
Starting point is 00:51:45 Committee is on Wednesday expected to raise interest rates, listen to this, by at least, so they're opening the window here to more, at least 0.75 percentage points for the third time in a row as it tries to hit the brakes on the overheating U.S. economy. Goes on to say that this message has to be that they don't see an end of the tunnel in terms of rate hikes, said Ethan Harris, head of global economics research at Bank of America. It's less about how big the rate moves are going to be than it is about how durable they are. Now, the dot plot is expected to project more aggressive monetary policy running throughout this year and potentially into 2023, according to economists' forecast. Barbara Reinhart,
Starting point is 00:52:33 head of asset allocation at Voya Investment Management, said the DOT plot is going to have to show that once they raise rates to their terminal level, they're going to have to leave them there. Now, that terminal level refers to the point at which rates will peak in the Fed's campaign to tighten monetary policy, which is the most aggressive since 1981. And so once again, Rick, by the way, a lot of outlets out there, Rick, I was listening throughout the day today, They're saying the Fed could easily do a full percentage point tomorrow. Now, before when they talked about the full percentage point, they said it was shivers and everything. But this time it's almost like they're probably going to do a full percentage point.
Starting point is 00:53:18 Yes. And we're probably going to see more of them throughout the end of the year here. Right. So we see these financial news stories like CNBC and Bloomberg and all the other financial publications. They talk about the U.S. economy is overheating. Right. And the Federal Reserve, the governors of the Federal Reserve, they're just beside themselves, Doc. The economy is just galloping away, and they've got to bring this thing under control. It's overheating. I mean, smoke's coming out of it. The economy's just red hot, and we got to slow this thing down. That's the propaganda they want you to believe. Yeah. And the reason why it's overheating, Rick, is because they put nitrous oxide in the tank with all the money they've dumped in over the past couple of years.
Starting point is 00:54:12 No wonder it's overheating. The economy is not overheating. This is runaway inflation caused by the Federal Reserve. Yes. And now they're going to they're pulling the emergency brake on the train and they're going to they're going to throw the train off the tracks and they're going to throw millions of people out of work. They're going to drive up interest rates like they did in the late 70s and the early 80s. They went up as high as 24 percent i'm talking about mortgage rates yes they did incredible damage to the lives of working people back in the 70s and 80s and the bankers didn't care no the reason their financial policies are not made, they don't make financial policies for the public.
Starting point is 00:55:10 They make it for the Wall Street fat cats. And right now, you know, we just went through a decade of quantitative easing. Excuse me. And so they printed trillions of dollars. So now this is all coming back to bite them. But they're just taking care of the fat cats. And the average man and woman in this country is going to pay a price for the next at least 10 to 15 years
Starting point is 00:55:47 My just doc. I just want to at this point because we're talking about a lot of negative financial news On top of nuclear war. Let's just say we don't have a nuclear war We're still going to have a very deep financial crisis starting this fall. You have to put your trust in Almighty God. Don't be afraid. You have to be at peace. Don't worry. Don't fret. Don't think, am I going to lose my home? Am I going to lose my possessions?
Starting point is 00:56:37 What's going to happen to me? How am I going to feed my family? Don't worry. Put your faith in Almighty God and learn to become a giver in his kingdom. And giving makes him happy. He likes to see his children behave like him, which is generously. And he rewards us when we're generous because it's a trait that he likes to see. Yes. Well, Rick, one of the drivers in the runaway inflation that we're experiencing, and it is no matter what Joe Biden says on TV, this is runaway inflation that's taking place.
Starting point is 00:57:18 He minimizes it every time. But the Wall Street Journal is reporting that rising housing costs could prop up inflation for a while. Let me translate that for you. We're going to see inflation for a long time. The article went on to say rents and other shelter costs are emerging as a major driver of overall consumer inflation, keeping it high at a time when many other sources are starting to ease. Economists expect housing inflation to strengthen further before cooling off in the coming months, but are unsure when that relief will appear. This creates another challenge for the Federal Reserve as it raises interest rates to reduce price pressures.
Starting point is 00:58:01 Now, the overall inflation rate eased. Notice how they say this, eased to 8.3 percent in August from 8.5 in July, according to the Labor Department's Consumer Price Index. That reflected declines from the month before in prices for items like gasoline, airfares, and used cars, and slower price increases in other categories, such as your groceries. Housing was an outlier. Not only are shelter costs rising, they're climbing at an accelerating rate, accounting for a growing share of the overall inflation rate.
Starting point is 00:58:40 So about 25% of August's rate, up from about 20% in February. The price of housing was always going to be a persistent boost to inflation this year, said Omer Sharif, head of the advisory firm Inflation Insights, LLC. It has absolutely ticked up over the last three months and is offsetting declines in things like airfares and hotel rates. Rising housing costs also raise the odds that the Fed will raise interest rates by 0.75 percentage points again at its November policy meeting, economists at Barclays wrote in a report for clients. So, Rick, it's getting impossible now even for if you can't afford a home, a mortgage. Rental prices are escalating at about a 25% pace faster than the subsequent mortgage rates. And so you can't own a home, but you can't rent a place either.
Starting point is 00:59:33 Yes, that's the Federal Reserve wonderland that they've created for us. So the Fed boys, they're so worried about housing inflation, and they're staying up at night thinking about young couples who can't buy a house now. And so what are they going to do? Well, the Fed governor said, we're going to jack up interest rates to fight housing inflation. All right, let me think about that. You're going to fight housing inflation by jacking up interest rates, which then jack up mortgage rates, which jack up the cost of buying a house. How does that work? And as you said, Doc, as you said, Doc, rent will skyrocket because people can't buy homes because of the interest rates. Then there will be a high demand for rental properties.
Starting point is 01:00:42 And that means rents will go up in response to the demand for rental property. So tell me how this Federal Reserve policy, they defeat housing inflation. Unless it's to completely wipe out the housing industry altogether. I mean, Rick, you and I, we've been around a day or two. I remember the first apartment I had in my name as a young couple, we paid $400 a month. And this was a pretty nice place. This was a brand new apartment, two bedrooms. We were planning to have children.
Starting point is 01:01:24 And so $400 a month. This was mid 80s. That same apartment today would easily go for $1,600 to $1,900 a month. Easily. And family homes right now, just here in Vero Beach, a three-bedroom, two-bath home in Vero Beach, not fancy, not in a secluded neighborhood or anything like that. We're talking $2,500 to $3,000 a month. Rick, who on earth, what young family starting out can afford first and last month's rent and a security deposit on top of that. I mean, we're talking, if it's $2,500, you've got to pony up $7,500 just to have a house. It's frightening, Rick. Doc, when Susan and I got married in 1974, I remember the house that I rented, and it was a two-bedroom brick rancher and it wasn't that old. The house was maybe 10 years old and my rent was $150 a month. Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:37 That house, I have no idea, you know, but just knowing the size and location, I would say today it's probably $2,000 to $2,500 a month for the same house. But I was paying $150 for it in 1974. Who caused it to go up? The Federal Reserve. They did it. And you know what? If we're still around here 40 years from now, somebody
Starting point is 01:03:16 will say, you know, I used to pay $2,500 a month for my rent, and now it's $7,800 or a lot higher. Who knows what it will be? Because the Fed boys will still be running the show if the people do not take back control of the monetary system. Well, Rick, even in that particular scenario there,
Starting point is 01:03:50 I still believe God provides a place for His people, a habitation for His people. That's a promise from the Word of God, that if God can house the sparrows, that He can certainly house us as well. And so we just remind our viewers and our listeners, even though these situations are transpiring around us, we can walk in the knowledge that our Heavenly Father already saw this in advance and can provide for us all along the way.
Starting point is 01:04:16 And, you know, we compare these prices to those prices in the past. But, Rick, the Word of God makes a clear declaration that he has provided a habitation for his people. And he's provided housing for his people. That's my claim for the Word of God there. And so we want to encourage folks. The Word of God is the remedy to all these situations, to nuclear war, to economic failure, to rising rental prices and runaway inflation around us the word of god provides the solution all along the way another story uh rick you uh came across
Starting point is 01:04:54 earlier i'm sorry i just want to add that the promises of god are inflatable that's right they can match the environment that we're in. He's not limited. I mean, they use gold for asphalt in the New Jerusalem, so he's got plenty of things to work on. You need to worry about where your soul's going to go when you die. Right. That's something to be concerned about. But don't be concerned about these things that men are doing. Don't worry about it.
Starting point is 01:05:30 Be concerned about where your soul is going to go when you die. That's something that you ought to take seriously. Amen. So another story you came across earlier today, also from the journal. Once again, these stories are coming out more and more. Food supply stays tight as a disappointing U.S. harvest adds to global challenges. Rick, have you heard that we had a disappointing U.S. harvest till today? No, this is the first time because I've been following it throughout the season.
Starting point is 01:06:11 And the press reports seem to indicate harvest was doing pretty good. Right. And then suddenly today, the Wall Street Journal says a disappointing U.S. harvest. Right. They called it lackluster. A lackluster U.S. harvest this year is setting back efforts to relieve a global food supply constrained by Russia's war in Ukraine, ag industry executives have said. Senior executives from companies such as Bayer, Creteva, Archer Daniels, Midland, and Bunch said worldwide crop supplies remain tight, and some said at least two more years of good harvests in North and South America are needed just to ease the pressure.
Starting point is 01:06:47 Persistent drought conditions in the U.S. and agricultural countries in South America, along with uncertainty over crop production in Ukraine, are making that a lot harder, they said. When it comes to the global food supply situation, I think things are going to continue to be tight for the time being, said Varner Abalman, Bayer's chief executive. High temperatures this summer exacerbated drought conditions in the U.S. West and the countries of Great Plains. Intense heat in states such as Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma set in as corn crops were pollinating in many parts of the grain belt when the plants require the most water. Some corn crops were also planted late this year after a wet spring, causing some yield loss, according to agricultural analysts. And so Rick, once again, didn't really see this story coming up until today that the U.S. grain situation is in rapid decline, once again,
Starting point is 01:07:47 because of drought conditions. And by the way, those drought conditions and those wet spring conditions are indicative not of global warming, but of global cooling. You got it. And a declining A declining harvest will drive up food prices. So the crops that are being harvested right now will be entering into the food supply in the coming months. And because it's less than anticipated and the demand will be greater the supply will be less then prices will be higher and this this uh inflation um cycle is taking off everywhere we look doc and the the world leaders are being squeezed you know i know a lot of people think they're doing everything but they're not that smart no you're giving them too much credit they're they think that they're smart they've got their schemes and plots
Starting point is 01:09:04 they've got their conspiracies. But God looks down upon them and laughs. Read Psalm 2. He laughs at puny men. And their puny plans, yes. Yeah. Don't worry. That's my favorite saying now, don't worry.
Starting point is 01:09:27 Well, Rick, we have a number of other stories, and we can jump into them, or if there's something that you want to point out in particular here that we want to close out the show with and everything, it's your call here. How are you feeling right now? I don't know. It's 1.45 a.m. here,
Starting point is 01:09:44 but I went to bed at 2 last night. I kept you guys going, so I don't want to keep you guys going much longer. Doc, you're in the control seat there in the studio. You tell me when you want to shut it down. My bed is right over here, Doc. I know you don't have far to go. My bed's right over here. I have to drive to mine.
Starting point is 01:10:06 You just roll over to yours. As soon as you say the show's over, I'm going to bed. Well, we've got to hit at least one of these two weird stories for today. This is number 43 for control. And I saw this story and then Rick sent it over here. Beyond Meat COO arrested for biting man's nose near razorback stadium um i guess he got desperate and so a food company exec was arrested on a pair of charges after reportedly biting a man's nose in a parking garage in fayetteville on saturday night doug ramsey of fayettevilleville was arrested on September 17th on charges of
Starting point is 01:10:45 terroristic threatening and third-degree battery. According to a preliminary report, the incident happened at a parking garage near Razorback Stadium following Arkansas's victory over Missouri State. Just after 10 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Gate 15 for, quote, a disturbance that had previously occurred in the stadium parking garage the responding officer found two males with bloody faces at the scene the officer spoke with both parties and a witness and determined that Ramsey was allegedly in the traffic lane of the structure attempting to leave when a Subaru lynched his way in front of Ramsey's Bronco, making contact with the front passenger's side tire.
Starting point is 01:11:26 Ramsey got out of his vehicle and allegedly punched through the back windshield of the Subaru, according to report. And so, you know, we've got this weird situation here, but we'll go back to number 43 here for control. Mr. Ramsey there was a 25-year veteran of Tyson Foods before he moved over to Beyond Meat. So I guess he had two and a half decades of all the meat he could eat and then was taken away from him. And so he found the closest thing he could do to
Starting point is 01:12:01 satisfy his carnivore appetite there. And that's take off the nose of somebody. He ate the guy's nose. That's just so weird. I had to send it to you, Doc. It's just weird. But the next story's weird, too. Yes, this is even weirder. And so this is coming out of Ontario. Ontario high school teachers seen wearing massive prosthetic bust to class. Okay. I'm not even sure the best way to tell this story, Rick. We'll just kind of quote this and kind of follow through and see where it leads us. Photos and videos out of a Canadian high school are going viral as they show a male teacher. This is a male teacher wearing what appears to be large prosthetic breasts in full view of young students.
Starting point is 01:12:54 Now, this teacher seemed wearing an extremely prominent prosthetic bust, one which clearly outlines the nipples through his tight shirt. He is also donning a bright blonde wig and short shorts. Just that image itself is enough to cause you to burn your eyes out. The man seen in the photos and videos is a manufacturing technology instructor, the shop instructor. He's the shop teacher who allegedly began identifying as a woman last year. This teacher now goes by the name of Kayla Lamu. Mu as in cow, I guess. Here's some video of this shop teacher working in class. As you can see, it can be kind of dangerous working around this shop teacher with a table saw. Boy, you could get something caught in there, you know.
Starting point is 01:13:47 Anyway, this is the state of education in America. That was a guy. That's a man wearing prosthetic breasts. I can't even get mad at this stuff anymore. It's so dumb, isn't it? It's so stupid. And, I mean, what do you say to that? I mean, how do you even respond?
Starting point is 01:14:09 Get out of school. But, you know, parents aren't upset about it. The principal would be fired if he or she chased that freak out of the school. So who's really crazy? Well, I don't know who's crazier. People who sell these things that men can wear or the people that like them or the people that let it go on. What's the crazier one? Can you imagine your shop teacher coming to school? My shop teacher is still alive and I sent him a copy of the video last night and I was just
Starting point is 01:14:48 saying, man, shop was not like this when I was in high school. But anyway. We need to just start laughing at the left. Just laugh at them. They make it so easy to laugh at them. Don't take them seriously. If you really want to upset the left, just start laughing. They want us to be upset. Don't be upset. Don't worry. Just laugh. Just laugh at them. Just laugh out loud.
Starting point is 01:15:26 Just laugh your way to heaven. Laugh your way to heaven. Don't worry about it, dog. Yeah, you can laugh your way to heaven or cry your way to hell, right? You got a choice there. Well, Rick, any final words in our closing here to share with folks? Good night. That's it?
Starting point is 01:15:39 Just good night? That's it. Well, Rick, you get a good night's rest here this evening. And I know you got a big day planned tomorrow.
