God's people are smarter than ants. Even ants know it's wise to store food.
Go to the ant, you sluggard. Consider her ways and be wise, which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
provides her bread in the summer and gathers her food in the harvest.
I'm Dr. Robert A. Shuler, and I'm on a mission to encourage Christian families to prepare for tough times.
That's why I'm endorsing American Reserves.
American Reserves can help you build a food storehouse

This is True News, the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth,
so help us God. I'm Rick Wiles. Today is Monday, January 8th, 2024. The big story today
is the mysterious hospitalization of U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. His hospitalization was so secretive that not even Joe Biden,
the commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces,
knew that his defense chief was hospitalized for days.
Let's start at the beginning of this unusual story and follow the timeline.
We will begin with an article published by ABC News
on January 5th. As you see, the headline is Defense Secretary Austin hospitalized since Monday
due to complications after minor procedure. Now, apparently he'd been admitted back on the first,
evening of the first, Rick. And so the story broke Friday.
But we're going to find out, Doc, it actually goes back even farther.
Yes, that's true.
So ABC, again, this is January 5th.
ABC reported Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has been hospitalized at a military hospital since Monday night due to complications resulting from a recent elective medical procedure,
the Pentagon announced Friday night.
Another Defense Department spokesman declined to specify what procedure was performed on Austin
other than describing it as a minor elective procedure.
ABC said no information was provided as to what the complications were that
Austin experienced following the procedure that required his hospitalization. When asked
why it took so long for the Pentagon to disclose the hospitalization of a key figure in the Biden
administration, General Ryder, who's a spokesperson at the pentagon described it as an evolving situation
general rider said we had to consider a number of factors including medical and personal privacy
issues we are now in a position to update you, not only is this so private that the public
can't know about it, the White House didn't know about it, the National Security Council didn't
know about it, and now we found out that the Pentagon didn't know about it either.
Yes, key officials at the Pentagon did not know about, including the assistant secretary of defense.
So another ABC story.
This is two days later, January 7th.
Lloyd Austin was hospitalized after experiencing severe pain.
Now, in the first report, it said a minor elective procedure.
Right.
Two days later, there's severe pain.
No explanation.
Then Wall Street Journal, January 7, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin's hospitalization deepens.
Mystery of his absence.
Right.
This is number three and it says on the evening again wall street
journal on the evening of january 1st austin began experiencing severe pain and was taken to
walter reed now this is where this really gets interesting where he was admitted to the hospital's intensive care unit.
About the same time as when Austin was admitted to the hospital on Monday,
Austin's chief of staff, Kelly Megas, what is it, Megasman,
was out sick with the flu,
which officials say contributed to the lack of notification to Hicks and the White House.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General C.Q. Brown,
was notified of Austin's hospitalization the day after on Tuesday.
That's the second.
But as a subordinate advisor, he would not have been bound to notify the White House.
Doc, this is absolutely bizarro
crazy. Oh, it gets weirder.
There, again, Wall Street Journal,
there has been no indication
that Austin's hospitalization
put national security at
risk. Seriously?
How about a nuclear war?
The defense
secretary is nowhere
to be found. Nobody knows that he's in icu and the thing
the other extreme he's not necessary that's i guess the other way to look at it he's he's not
necessary or he's absolutely necessary and was awal yes shouldn't he be charged with going AWOL? Well, if a private did that in the military, had just informed everybody, well, you know, I've been in ICU.
That's AWOL.
Yes.
Without notification.
It is so extremely weird and irresponsible, negligent for somebody at his level.
Doc, if a senior member of my organization just checked out and nobody notified me where he or she was at.
Didn't tell a loved one, didn't tell a point of contact, didn't tell the office manager,
didn't tell anybody, just was gone.
Just gone.
Okay.
So, you know, one of the key positions here, obviously, Doc, being on air with me, I'd have to know.
Our IT director, he's the guy that makes everything happen.
He's the person you never see.
He's behind the scenes.
But he is the man that makes things work.
And when things break at the last minute, we need him.
We need him. And sometimes things happen within the last minute, we need him. We need him.
And sometimes things happen within minutes before we go live.
If I found out that my IT director had been hospitalized for days, for many days, and never notified me, nobody in his family notified me.
And I had an emergency here, and I'm going, get the IT director.
We don't know where he's at.
What do you mean?
Well, he hasn't been here for days.
What are you talking about?
We're calling his phone.
Nobody's answering.
Call his wife.
What's going on?
Where is he?
Do you know what my how i i'd say you know he's pretty good you are in the hospital you know you're gonna be because you're gonna be when when
you come back to work okay this kind of behavior is not allowed in corporate america it's irresponsible
it's childish it's It's so negligent.
But to be the highest civilian military official in the United States of America and just to go AWOL.
I can't even comprehend it, Doc.
You only have one boss above you, the president of the United States.
There is nobody else.
Well, this thing gets
stranger because the guardian in london reporting lloyd austin first went into hospital on december
22nd yeah they reported this sunday they said the pentagon released new details on sunday
about austin's continued hospitalization saying he had an initial medical procedure back on the 22nd of December,
from which he went home a day later.
Then on Monday the 1st, he had to be admitted to intensive care at Walter Reed, experiencing severe pain.
Now, Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks assumed some of his operational duties on Tuesday the 2nd
while she was on vacation in Puerto Rico, Rick.
But Hicks was not told.
She was not told why Austin was unavailable until Thursday.
Just said, show up.
But didn't tell her why he was unavailable until Thursday, two days later. But some of his official duties as Secretary of Defense were transferred to her.
That's right.
And she didn't ask why?
I would think that would be your first question, wouldn't it?
Yeah.
Can I ask what's going on?
No, you can't ask that question.
What do you mean I can't answer that question?
I mean, that's kind of like, uh, say power of attorney.
Yes.
The power of the military though.
If somebody,
if somebody transferred to a second in command person here,
this is power of attorney.
You're,
you have the authority to do these things until further notice.
When you say what's say, what's up?
What's going on?
Why is power being transferred to me?
What's happening right now?
She obviously didn't ask because she was on vacation.
She didn't want to be bothered, Doc.
She didn't want to be bothered.
She was on vacation.
Well, she found out apparently on Thursday. That's the same day that the Biden White House found out about it.
And the National Security Council Chief Jake Sullivan.
Yeah, because he was caught flat footed about a question about it.
And so now, of course, Secretary Austin sits right below Joe Biden as far as the chain of command of the U.S. military.
And as such, his duties require him to be available at a moment's notice to respond to any kind of national security crisis.
And that includes always being ready to enter secure communications with other officials,
let's say in the event of an incoming nuclear attack, Rick,
something that would be kind of hard to do from an ICU bed.
Now, at least some circles in the Pentagon were aware of Austin's situation earlier.
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General C.Q. Brown, learned
of the hospitalization on Tuesday. That's a day later.
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The generals didn't
know that the defense chief was in an ICU. For a whole day.
And he was in there for more than a day, but they
didn't know for a whole day. Right.
So the Pentagon's failure to disclose Austin's hospitalization for days, including to President
Biden, the National Security Council and top Pentagon leaders, reflects a stunning lack of
transparency about his illness, how serious it was, and when he may be released. Now, yesterday, a Pentagon statement released by Major General Pat Ryder
did not provide any details about the medical procedure
or what happened to require Austin to be in intensive care at Walter Reed.
Ryan simply said that Austin was placed in the hospital's intensive care unit.
Now, listen to this statement.
It's kind of cryptic here.
Due to his medical needs, but then remained in that location in part due to hospital space considerations and privacy.
So was it for a medical need?
Was it for privacy?
What was it for?
Why?
Why is he in ICU? ICU, you know, this isn't, you know, the Marriott where you get to choose.
Hey, I'd like I'd like an upgrade.
My room is I'd like to be upgraded to a better room.
I mean, the defense chief said I'd like to be moved to the ICU where I get more attention.
I get more privacy.
You're going to take up an icu unit because you want more privacy
right that means somebody couldn't get in an icu if he did it simply for his own
personal privacy he deprived people who needed to be in an ICU of the opportunity to get the medical care.
Because the doctors had to say,
we can't put this woman in here
because the defense chief is,
he likes the privacy of the ICU.
Right.
So is that his explanation?
That's what we're hearing here.
Is that his explanation?
Because that's pretty crazy too.
That's outrageously crazy.
The whole story is crazy.
Political.
Pentagon didn't inform Biden, White House for days about Austin's hospitalization.
The commander in chief did not know.
Joe Biden, obviously.
Cackling Kamala Harris didn't know.
National Security Council chief Jake Sullivan did know. cackling kamala harris didn't know national security council chief jake sullivan didn't know for a while the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff didn't know
but they never bothered to call the white house why is that the chairman of the joint chiefs of
staff didn't call the white house i? I just can't even imagine this.
I mean, if I found myself in ICU, the first thing I'd be doing, if I had any coherence at all, would say, Mia, give Rick a call and let him know where I'm at, that I'm in ICU.
Probably won't be at work tomorrow.
Let him know I'm in ICU and that we need someone to take over for a few days.
Well, exactly, Doc.
When you had your accident a month or two ago, that's exactly what happened.
Mia called my wife, Susan, immediately and said, Doc is in an ambulance going to the hospital.
I mean, that was one of the first calls she made.
She called us and said, well, obviously to pray for you,
but also letting me know we've got a crisis here.

Pentagon waited three days to inform the White House.
Okay, so we're seeing the progression, this timeline.
This article mentioned that he was in the ICU.
Yes.
There has not been a lot of publicity about the ICU.
I saw this in this NBC News article.
I've been following the story casually for days.
But this is the first today when I saw this NBC headline.
This is the first time I knew he was in the ICU.
It had been there for days.
So that's what really grabbed my attention today.
So wait a minute.
Not only was he up until this morning, I was seeing this as simply he went in the hospital for some minor procedure.
He didn't bother to tell the White House. And
you know, it's a really bad public relations scandal
for him and the White House. Looks really bad. But this morning
when I saw that he was in the intensive care unit,
wait a minute, the guy's on ventilator?
Isn't that what you get when you're in the ICU?
You ever seen anybody in the ICU?
That was in good shape.
Yes.
What condition are you in?
Intensive.
Intensive care.
Reuters said President Biden is not considering firing Lloyd Austin.
What do you have to do to get fired?
Well, when you're a diversity hire,
you can't fire him, Rick. Is he a diversity hire? I thought he was hired for his competency.
He said failed Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin should be fired immediately for improper professional conduct and dereliction of duty. He's been missing for one week and nobody,
including his boss, crooked Joe Biden,
had a clue as to where he was or might be. He has performed poorly and should have been dismissed
long ago, along with General Mark Milley, for many reasons, but in particular, the catastrophic
surrender in Afghanistan, perhaps the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country.
And a number of Republicans are publicly calling for Austin's resignation or firing, including
Florida U.S. Senator Rick Scott.
He posted this on his ex account today.
Said this is unacceptable and dangerous.
The Secretary of Defense is a key member of the U.S. national security team and has a
critical role in our most sensitive military and nuclear protocols.
Secretary Austin must come to the SASC immediately and explain why this happened and who helped keep it from our nation's leader.
That's the Senate Armed Services Committee.
So he's got a point.
Something is up here.
What is going on here, Rick?
I don't know.
