including Russia. We'll have more on this story later in today's True News. I'm Rick Wiles,
and this is True News for Thursday, September 12, 2024. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of
today's top World War III news by examining this report about the BRICS
summit that opened today in Russia. This is the TASS news agency in Moscow. BRICS security leaders
convened in St. Petersburg to discuss a new world order. Yes. There it is in print, in the headline. Why am I starting this newscast today,
this news and commentary analysis program? Why am I starting it? I just said we're going to talk
about World War III, and I'm opening it with an article about BRICS. The war is because they are meeting to discuss a new world order.
Yes, it's a clash of new world orders.
That's why we're going to have a nuclear war.
A large segment of the world is represented in this meeting today.
Yes.
Look at the photograph.
Look at the nations that are gathered.
Gathered to do what?
Break free of the Rothschild banking dynasty.
To break free from the tyranny
of the ruling class of Europe and the United States
that says, if you don't do it our way,
we'll put sanctions on you. We'll use our military against you. We will grind you into the dust.
It's not the way to lead the world. I want my nation to be the leader of the world,
but not the bully of the world. I don't want to be the policeman of the world.
I want to be the leader of the world.
I want our nation to be the leader of the world,
the one that other nations look up to and says they do it right.
We want to follow America.
They are showing us the way.
But that's not the way we've been acting for the past 50 years,
and the world has finally had enough of it.
And there's going to be a clash.
And that's what we're going to be talking about today.
But just to take a look at what's happening today in Russia,
the BRICS Security Summit, chaired by Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shogun, who was the defense minister, will discuss the parameters of the future world order.
Now, there's a message just having Shogun chairing that, isn't there?
Yes, you're having the former minister of defense chair the meeting to discuss the parameters, the borders of this new world order.
The meeting is being held on September 11 and 12.
There may be some significance in that also. In St. Petersburg, the forum will also discuss support for multipolarity and the right of nations to choose their own path of development,
as well as reforming the global political and financial economic governance systems.
According to the preliminary agenda, the representatives of the BRICS group chaired by Russia intend to talk about how to work together to counter the rules-based order imposed by the West.
Of course, the rules-based order means living according to the rules.
That we make up.
That the West makes up and changes the rules whenever they want to.
Yes.
And the world is fed up with it.
So this next one, 34 countries.
Putin said today at this meeting in his opening speech that 44 nations have expressed a desire to join the work of BRICS.
The article does not name the nations, but 34 is a significant number of nations that
are applying.
And we know that one of them is Turkey.
Yes.
A member of NATO.
So Turkish President Erdogan is straddling the fence.
He's saying, I'm going to play both sides until I see who's going to win this world war.
Turkey's geographically in the middle.
They're a member of NATO.
They're technically part of Europe.
But they're an Islamic country.
They're friendly with Russia.
And President Erdogan is saying, I'm not sure who's going to win this war.
And I'm going to have a foot in both camps.
And when the dust settles, I'll just step into the winning side. Yes.
Rather than having them impose their rules on us.
Because I'm going to tell you, Doc, when the war is over, the winning side is going to
impose their rules on the other side.
And it will last for about 100 years.
So we'll be talking about this.
I won't.
You might be here.
I hope I'm not here 100 years from now.
100 years from now.
In 21, 24.
If this program still exists, somebody will be sitting here talking about the end of the New World Order that came together sometime around 2024, 2025.
Because that's what's taking place.
The old new world order is dying.
A new new world order is arising, and there's going to be a clash.
The old one won't go down easy.
It would mean surrender.
That's true, yes.
And the West is not going to surrender.
Doc, you brought up yesterday, we didn't talk about it on the program.
You told me that our planet is going to be hit by a massive solar flare today.
Yes.
There's a geomagnetic storm that's forecast for today.
This is a Class II or what they're calling a G2-level moderate geomagnetic storm that's
headed our way that will impact the skies tonight and tomorrow night.
What I thought was interesting about this is that there's really no reports about this in Western press other than, hey, you're going to see the Aurora Borealis for a couple nights.
It's really nice.
I've looked today.
There's nothing. what we call the 40-60 window, Azerbaijan, Eritrea, they're all saying, hey, be prepared.
We're going to possibly experience electromagnetic pulse effects as a result of this storm.
I just saw a headline a few minutes ago before I walked down here.
One of the Russian news sites, it was translated into English,
and it was a high-level Russian military official said, and the headline was, solar storm definitely will hit the planet.
That was coming from a military official.
Right, but nobody in the West is talking about this.
It's nothing. I've looked.
And so that got me to thinking, well, a geomagnetic storm hitting the Earth.
Let's say we had a Carrington
event. For those that don't know what the Carrington event was, it was a major solar
flare that occurred in the 1800s. It was, you know, during the time where we still had telegraph
poles sitting up, but it knocked out the telegraph towers. I mean, you couldn't communicate for days
using the telegraph. An event like that today would, you know, shock the world. I mean, you couldn't communicate for days using the telegraph. An event like that today would shock the world.
I mean, it set us back at least 7,500 years.
And then you had one decades ago in Canada.
Right.
And that was a little oneagnetic storm would be a great cover for an EMP attack on a certain region of the world or the U.S. or anywhere else.
That at first you might think it's just the result of a geomagnetic storm.
It might take days before you'd realize there was an actual attack that had taken place.
Well, that's sinister thinking, Doc.
Oh, it's a bit cynical, I have to admit.
But just based on human nature, I mean, if they saw an opportunity,
would they take advantage of it?
You know, if you're a war planner in any nation
and you're aware that this geomagnetic storm is going to hit today,
yeah, you could suggest to leaders of the country this might be a good time for us to do an EMP attack on somebody, and it would get blamed on the sun.
Right.
Who would ever know?
Right.
Now, this is a moderate-level event.
It's not a high-level event like the Carrington event.
But really, how do we know?
The information that we receive is in the hands of others.
And, you know, they could say it's a moderate event when it's actually a high event.
Well, we're going to find out later today because I think it's expected to hit tonight.
Yes.
Now, for those who are listening to us on WWCR, International Shortwave, that means most likely there will be a disruption of shortwave signals.
Right.
But you could also see it in AM radio, FM.
Right.
And I just thought it was interesting that those outlets in the Middle East and everything that were reporting this saying, you can expect some outages.
I thought, really?
You're talking about outages on this particular storm?
But the West doesn't have anything about it.
Other nations are bracing their populations for possible outages tonight and tomorrow.
But nothing here.
Yes.
Okay.
This next one, I just threw it in here because I thought, well, where am I going to put this article?
Maybe it's proper places immediately after discussing a solar storm.
Okay. According to Fox News host Sean Hannity, he was abruptly cut off the air during his monologue about illegal immigration.
And it says, this is a story from the Daily Mail in London.
Sean Hannity was abruptly cut off the air as he erupted into a furious monologue about illegal immigration. It came during the anchor's opening to his show on Wednesday,
where he ranted about how Democrats will have blood on their hands
due to the migrant crisis at the southern border.
We'll show you the segment where he was delivering his monologue and then went silent.
As we think of the 23rd anniversary of 9-11, I pray to God I'm wrong.
I doubt I am. These unvetted Harris Biden illegals with known terror ties from Iran, Syria,
Egypt, Afghanistan, from China, Russia, Venezuela, they are plotting, they are planning,
they are scheming future terror attacks on our homeland. And even
FBI Director Wray has been saying as much. It's not a matter of when. Well, it is a matter of when,
not a matter of if. I pray to God I'm wrong. They will have blood on their hands, just like they do
over every American that has been murdered and raped by their unvetted illegal immigrants, over 11 million that
they have allowed into this country. The illegals that Kamala wants to decriminalize, provide free
housing, health care, education. Now, taxpayer funded. All right, by the way, apologies, we do
have things in television. Occasionally it's called technical difficulties and apparently something knocked us off the air.
Probably a left wing radical liberal conspiracy. At least I'd say that if I was Hillary Clinton.
Maybe. Or it could be a Fox News censor.
Right. Or it could have been a call from one of the Murdoch boys.
That's what I mean. That's what I mean.
You know, Sean Hannity immediately said left wing Democrat did it, you know, like a hacker.
No, maybe Fox News did it.
Yes.
If Fox News censored him.
Then, Doc, we are moving much faster into this dark age of censorship than any
of us comprehend.
If we have reached a point where Fox News is now going to censor their own people, I
don't think it was a solar storm because the storm hasn't arrived yet.
That's right.
If that happened tonight, I'd say, okay.
You have a great excuse then
but no this happened last night and uh it you know he said blood on their hands and you've got
to know that there were probably people pulling their hair out and everything over fox saying
oh we got we got to do something here we got he's talking about blood are we about to see Sean Hannity muzzled?
And would you even know it?
Well, would they remove him?
Would he come to the place that they remove him?
Ratings don't matter to Fox News.
That's right.
They've fired some of their top people.
That's right.
Tucker Carlson.
I mean,
look at the list of the people that they have
kicked off the air
that have had
extremely high ratings. So
ratings doesn't matter to the Fox
family, the Murdoch family.
By the way,
maybe it was a solar storm that
knocked Candace Owens off
YouTube. Well, it was a storm all right. it was a solar storm that knocked Candace Owens off YouTube.
Well, it was a storm, all right.
It was a storm.
You know, she got deplatformed.
She got demonetized.
I think she's permanently demonetized and temporarily banned from YouTube.
I'm surprised it took this long for them to do it to her.
She's a brave woman, and I admire her, but I knew this was coming. I went down that
road a long time ago. And Candace,
if you put your faith and hope in Jesus Christ,
you will survive and
you will thrive. And as long
as you talk about Jesus, they
will not be able to muzzle you.
That's my advice to you. Let's get
back to World War III.
So we did, oh, one more report.
This is from KTLA Strong.
4.7 earthquake near Los Angeles today.
This is the latest in a series of earthquakes that have been hitting the Los Angeles area, also different parts of California.
There's something rumbling out there.
This has been going on for a couple months.
But this is the latest one today.
Now let's get on to the big stuff.
World War III.
Ukraine closes in on green light to strike Russia with long-range missiles.
We talked about this yesterday.
I just want to bring this back up.
Mr. Zelensky said yesterday we're expecting, we're having a meeting,
and hopefully by Friday, tomorrow, we'll have permission to strike deep inside Russia.
The Russians have said the decision's already been made. We're
not waiting on it. We know they've already made the decision. Right. And UK Prime Minister Starmer
is meeting with President Joe Biden today and tomorrow. And I don't know if they're going to
have a joint press conference today or joint announcement today or tomorrow, but it's expected that
the UK and the US are going to make the formal announcement at that point.
And Mr. Blinken then is going to have a meeting with Joe Biden?
Yes.
And then this new policy is going to come out.
Right.
Dmitry Medvedev had something to say.
Right.
So he posted this on Telegram and on X.
He says, Britain's Foreign Secretary David Lammy has promised Ukraine 100 years of support.
Number one, he's lying.
Number two, so-called Ukraine will not last a quarter of that time.
And number three, the island called Britain listen to this, is likely
to sink in the next few years.
Our hypersonic missiles will
help if necessary.
It's
impossible to
spin that in any
way other than... That's a direct
threat against the UK. Russia
just said, we're going to sink the
entire island and disappear. Can they do it? Can they do it? We've talked about it, Rick. We've
talked about it several times. Russia has the capability to basically flood the UK and sink it.
Here's an article. This is from June of 2023. Just one nuclear-armed
Poseidon torpedo could decimate a coastal city. Russia wants 30 of them. And even earlier in
2023, we had this article from The Telegraph. Unstoppable nuclear torpedo built by Russia
to devastate cities with Radioactive Tsunamis.
And in that particular article, it talks specifically about the United Kingdom.
So the Poseidon missile, it's a torpedo.
And it's a nuclear torpedo.
It erupts in the sea.
Right.
And then radioactive seawater rises up into a 1,500-foot-high tsunami wall, floods over the island of Great Britain, and contaminates everything with radioactive material.
Of course, drowns everybody alive.
But it leaves behind a coating of radioactive dust.
Everything's coated.
So that's what the Russians claim that they have.
And Mr. Medvedev said, the island called Britain is likely to sink in the next few years.
Our hypersonic missiles will help if necessary.
Reuters.
Ukraine says Russia hits civilian grain vessel in the Black Sea.
This just happened today.
Folks, we're giving you the day-by-day reports on World War III.
If this was the late 30s, early 40s, Doc and I would be sitting in a radio studio with headphones and getting teletype messages on a teletype machine.
I don't know if they had teletype, but I guess in the 30s, 40s.
I don't know.
I remember working with them in the 70s when I was in radio.
But that's how we would be reporting on World War II.
Do the rip and read from what was available to us at the time.
We'd be reporting on, hey, the Germans have moved on Austria today.
Or the Brits are trying to negotiate peace for Europe.
So today, Doc, this is according to Ukraine.
I've not seen any confirmation of this, but we'll just assume it's true.
Ukraine said that Russia, using strategic bombers, hit a civilian grain vessel in the Black Sea with missiles in NATO member Romania's economic zone.
Zelensky, President Zelensky, said the vessel carrying Ukrainian grain to Egypt
had been hit by the missile after it left Ukrainian territorial waters. Now, the ship was a ship from the UK and belongs to a company called Ambre,
and it was flying under a St. Kitts and Nevis flag.
So it was flagged here in the Caribbean with St. Kitts and Nevis,
but owned by a company in Great Britain and hauling grain from Ukraine to Egypt.
Again, this report just in recently.
Also, the U.S. scrambled fighter jets to intercept Russian aircraft near Alaska.
Nothing to see here, folks.
Move on.
Move on.
Don't pay attention to the headline.
Don't let this bother you.
Doc, nobody knows this stuff.
99.99% of the American people will never hear this today.
They will never know it, that Russian bombers were flying along the Alaskan coast today.
NORAD posted this tweet on X.
It said that NORAD had detected, tracked, and intercepted two Russian military aircraft operating the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone.
On September 11th, NORAD fighter jets from the U.S. conducted
the intercept. The Russian aircraft remained in international airspace and did not enter American
or Canadian sovereign airspace. The Russian activity in the Alaska Addis is not seen as a
threat, and NORAD will continue to monitor competitor activity near North America and meet presence with presence.
But we see this happen on a regular basis, regular cycle, that Russians and the Chinese are constantly testing U.S. Air Force.
They're probing.
Yes.
How close can they get before they're detected and what kind of response do they get?
Okay. detect it, and what kind of response do they get? Okay, the next two articles, they're on the same topic, but I've got two different sources,
both of them Russian.
First one from RT, Pentagon orders study of potential nuclear strike in Eastern Europe.
RT reporting the U.S. Defense Department has ordered a study.
Folks, listen to this.
Listen closely to what I'm saying.
The Pentagon has ordered a study which would simulate the impact of a nuclear conflict on global agriculture.
According to a solicitation notice posted this week on a U.S. government procurement platform.
The study would focus on regions beyond Eastern Europe and Western Russia, which would appear
to be the epicenter of a hypothetical nuclear weapons deployment in the simulation.
It goes on to say the project will be spearheaded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
Engineer Research and Development Center, which is the ERDC.
And according to the notice, the ERDC has already chosen Terra Analytics,
a Colorado-based company that specializes in advanced data visualization and analysis as the contractor.
The notice lists requirements for contractors to fulfill, such as providing personnel equipment,
facilities, supervision, and other items necessary to conduct a study. The contractor would, among
other things, need to incorporate aerial mapping in the simulation and model a scenario in which a non-destructive nuclear event takes place.
A non-destructive nuclear event?
There's no such thing.
You ever heard of a non-destructive knockout punch in boxing?
Well, not in boxing, but I would certainly – I can't even imagine that when we're talking about nuclear weapons.
I don't even know what that means, a non-destructive nuclear event that has an impact. so a dirty bomb well but that's destructive
it's not destructive in the sense of killing people and and destroying buildings and you
know burning things off but i mean the people eventually died from the radiation. But you could
destroy agriculture. That's where I'm
going here. The study is
on agriculture.
So, oh,
how about blowing up the nuclear
power plant in Kursk?
Well, the Russians have been
warning about that, that
the Ukrainians have intentions
to do exactly that.
Is that what the study is about?
What happens if Ukraine blows up the Russian nuclear power plant?
How does it affect global agriculture?
Another story that's also novacity.
And you can't find this in American news.
Right.
I mean, some people are wondering, why do you guys use so much foreign news?
Because we can't find the stories. Because they filter it here.
It's you're under censorship in America.
And we're reaching the point that even reporting foreign sources will get you deplatformed.
So Novasti reported the Pentagon will simulate the consequences of a nuclear explosion in Russia and Europe.
I'll let you read with this one, Doc.
So the Army Corps of Engineers, United States, signed a contract to develop active research programs
focused on modeling the effects of nuclear weapons on agricultural systems.
Among other things, the contractor is required to expand the geographical scope of the simulation
to include former, listen to this, they even targeted the areas, eastern bloc countries,
as well as update the program code for regions outside of eastern Europe and the western part
of Russia. The work involves
simulating a global nuclear war situation that will lead to the destruction of agriculture.
To do this, software will be used to recreate such a situation. Now, it's interesting that
they point out, hey, how will this impact former Eastern Bloc countries, former countries that
were associated with the Soviet Union.
One of those, let's say Belarus.
Are they talking about a possible impact on Belarus and Georgia?
I mean, where else are we talking? Dr.
The RT article said the study would focus on regions beyond Eastern Europe and Western
Russia.
Beyond Eastern Europe.
Yes.
And Western Russia. So Eastern Europe and Western Russia.
So that's the European continent.
That's a good point there, yes.
So is the Pentagon expecting food production in Europe to be wiped out by radioactive dust?
And that affects the global food supply. Folks, there's a lot of food that comes out of Europe.
Yes.
A lot.
You know, the majority of grain for Europe and everything comes out of Ukraine.
Yes.
So are they talking about wiping out the agriculture in Ukraine?
Well, it would if there's a – they'd wipe out their own. And Russia is a huge supplier of wheat.
Yes.
And so that prompts another question.
Are they talking about the destruction of agriculture in Russia?
Is that the real focus of this?
And how will that impact everything else in Europe?
Because I don't see them hitting the bread the bread basket of ukraine but it would
it would spread i mean right look but the western yeah the maniacs would sacrifice
ukraine's food supply like like they care they don't care but if the object is to wipe out
russian food supplies russia's agriculture then studying, well, how is this going to affect the rest of the world?
They're probably thinking, how high can America sell products around the world?
But you're looking at a global food shortage. Do you understand
what we have reported to you here
in this first half hour?
Medvedev just said today
on Twitter,
Doc, we're at the place of craziness
in the world that a world leader
tweets
on a social media platform,
we're going to wipe out a country.
We're going to drown it.
It's going to go under.
Great Britain is going to disappear.
I see that look on your face.
What is it?
I came across a story earlier today, and I didn't make the connection until just now,
where it talked about that Russia is increasing its exports to Africa.
It's making a significant increase in its exports to the African continent.
Yeah, because they can't sell to anybody else because of the Western sanctions.
That's right.
And then there was another article that followed right with it.
This was from the Atlantic Council.
And it said Ukraine's grain exports are crucial to Africa's food security.
Rick, are they planning on wiping out Russian wheat?
That's what it sounds like.
That's what it sounds like.
And thinking that, well, we'll make a bet.
We'll wipe out the Russian wheat, and then Ukraine and the U.S. will be the only ones selling wheat in the world.
We did the same thing to Europe with propane and with the pipeline.
We did the same thing.
After we put sanctions on Russia, you couldn't sell LG fuel in Europe.
Who came in to the rescue?
United States.
But it costs more.
Yes.
Because you have to ship it on barges.
That's right.
Across the Atlantic.
Well, that's okay.
Yeah, more money. That's right. Across the Atlantic. Well, that's okay. Yeah, more money.
That's right.
And same thing with the pipeline, too.
And the guys that own the barges make money, too.
Right.
The shipping companies.
Everybody's making money off the misery that they caused Europe to suffer.
So the focus of the study isn't about the potential of Russia nuking agriculture, but can we get away with it?
And how much money would we make?
Oh, my Lord.
How evil are we?
How severe will the global food shortage be?
So, Doc, I just realized this myself.
I didn't even think about this.
You know, you've got the anniversary of September 11th.
Right, yesterday, yes. And so today's the 13th. Well, today got the anniversary of September 11th. Right, yesterday, yes.
And so today's the 13th.
Well, today's the 12th.
The 12th, today's the 12th, okay.
So on September 14th of 2023 is when we here first became involved with American Reserves.
That's one year ago, this week.
It doesn't seem like it's one year ago. This week.
It doesn't seem like it's one year ago.
I know, a year has gone by.
So we became involved with American Reserves and along the way,
the most amazing thing happened
and that is,
God blessed me
with being able to take ownership of the company.
It was just incredibly, for me, a miracle.
Okay, the Lord blessed me.
He orchestrated things.
We ended up, the people that had American reserves previously, worked out a plan with me and said, we'll make it possible for you to own the company, which I now own.
I own the company.
I told you many months ago I resigned from the church.
I'm no longer the senior pastor.
I'm no longer on the board of directors.
I no longer receive a salary from the church.
I'm independent.
So Apostle Paul sold tents.
I sell food.
Apostle Paul preached the gospel.
He gave the gospel away, but he didn't give his tents away.
He sold his tents.
That's how he bought his food. That's how he took care of himself. This is the greatest apostle.
Okay. So it's, there's a biblical principle in this. And, and I had wanted for years to get into that position. And the Lord answered my prayer in a way I didn't expect because I was
in business my whole life until the Lord called me in 1998 into this ministry. And then I gave
up everything. But years ago, he told me, I'm going to put you back into a business suit.
And I didn't know how that was going to happen, when it was going to happen. And then he surprised
me this year by putting American Reserves into my hands to be the owner and the steward of it.
But I believe it goes beyond providing me with an income.
It goes beyond providing me with something to have resources to bless others.
I believe he put a food company in my hands
to make sure that the people associated with this ministry
have access to food.
I really believe that.
Here I am, day after day after day,
telling you that this war is coming.
And now here we have these two reports that the U.S. Pentagon has issued, I think, what
was it, a $34 million contract?
Yeah, $34 million Pentagon contract to accompany, to basically war game a scenario that some non-destructive nuclear event happens in Eastern Europe or Russia.
And how will it impact the global food supply?
And this comes on the heels of us reporting a week or two ago that the Russians have warned the West, don't blow up.
I'm going to tell you right now, don't blow up that nuclear power plant in Kursk.
You better head and do it.
So I think Doc might be on to something that that's exactly what they're looking at.
A non-destructive nuclear event.
That's a dirty bomb.
That's a nuclear explosion at a power plant.
That's something other than a nuclear warhead. So here we are. We're at the one-year anniversary
of working with American Reserves, and there is a special, an anniversary special. So starting today, any specialty bucket that you purchase, you will get another one absolutely free.
And those buckets can be freeze-dried meat, vegetables, fruits, side items, your choice.
And I believe you can mix and match.
I don't think the free one has to be the same one. I think you can mix and match. I don't think the free one has to be the same one.
I think you can mix and match.

I didn't make it up.
That our Pentagon is planning for a global food crisis.
A man-made crisis.
Creating it, yes.
They're going to create a crisis.
Somebody's going to create a crisis.
Somebody's going to have a non-destructive nuclear disaster.
And it's going to impact the global food supply.
Didn't Henry Kissinger once say that the next big war will be about food?
I've heard that.
I can't say that I can verify that he said it.
It seems like, but it's been attributed to him, but I don't know if it's actual.
But it makes sense, right?
Napoleon said armies move
on their stomachs.
Countries invade other countries
for food.
And they have for
millennia. Yes, for a long, long
time. So,
be ready for it. Anyhow,
let's watch this
AR spot, and then I'll be back,
and we've got some more stuff to tell you about World War III.

American Reserves. Doc, a high level former advisor to the Kremlin made a comment yesterday in Moscow or maybe St. Petersburg that Russia's foreign policy, I mean, Russia's nuclear policy is outdated.
It needs to be revised because he said our enemies no longer fear us.
They don't believe we'll use our missiles. And we need to rewrite our nuclear
policy so that they understand we are prepared to use our arsenal. There's a gentleman.
Karaganov.
Yeah, so kind of the Dick Cheney type of guy of Russia. No smiles.
All business, very serious.
And let's dive in.
This is an RT article. Right.
So Russia's nuclear doctrine urgently needs to be revised to allow a nuclear response to any major military aggression against the country.
And that's coming from former Kremlin advisor Sergei Karaganov speaking Wednesday. The former foreign policy advisor
to the deputy head of the Russian presidential administration told the Commerce Ant Daily that
the existing document is woefully outdated and no longer serves as an effective deterrent.
Now, the current one adopted in 2020, Russia's nuclear doctrine does not provide
for preemptive nuclear strikes. It envisages the use of nuclear
weapons only in exceptional cases in the face of a threat to the sovereignty and territorial
integrity of the country. Now, according to Karaginov, this approach has rendered it nearly
useless and has effectively excluded the nuclear deterrence factor from Russia's military and
foreign policy arsenal. He said that we have allowed the situation to deteriorate to a point when our adversaries
believe we will not use nuclear weapons under any circumstances.
Having nuclear weapons without being able to convince your enemies that you are ready to use them is suicide.
A failure to have an effective nuclear deterrent policy, he says,
would plunge the world into a series of wars that would inevitably turn nuclear and end up with World War III,
Graganaw believes, adding that this could happen within the span of several years.
Now, the main goal of a doctrine should be in convincing all current and future enemies that Russia is ready to use its nuclear weapons.
And Russia, criticize them as much as you may, they tend to follow the rules.
They tend to follow the rules, the actual rules, not the fake rules that the West makes up all the time.
Well, the West follows its rules, too.
Yes, it just changes.
But they have rules for themselves and rules for others.
But what Russia's doing is simply saying we have a policy and we're going to change it.
And that way, for us, it's illegal.
When we clobber you with nuclear weapons, it's illegal.
That's all they're doing.
I mean, Hitler, Doc, everything Hitler did, it wasn't right, it wasn't moral, it wasn't right it wasn't moral it wasn't ethical but it was legal
because the german nazis changed the rules to make their atrocities legal right that's all
they're talking about they're just going to change the rules so it's legal um the next three stories
i'm just going to show you the headlines i've got some other things I want to get to, and I don't want to go too deep into these. NBC News, Russia launches counteroffensive
against Ukraine in the Kursk border region. We heard this yesterday that it was underway.
It's confirmed now. There are multiple news agencies reporting that the Russian military did launch a major military counteroffensive to push the Ukrainians out of Russia.
So we've been wondering for a month, when is the Russian military going to do something?
When they're ready.
It started yesterday.
Right. And so they've taken back about 10 settlements so far.
That's the latest update.
That was about seven hours ago.
And so we'll keep
track on this to see how far this pushes. Then we also have this story. This is from the New York
Times. North Korean missiles rained down on Ukraine despite sanctions.
We're seeing, Doc, we're seeing more where U.S. officials are talking about North Korea,
which makes me think that North Korea is going to be in the target
for some action, that the U.S. is going to strike North Korea and say, this is a justification
for attacking Pyongyang. Right. Just like they're using it for Iran as well. Iran supplying missiles to Russia.
We're coming up with the excuses there.
Jerusalem Post, Israeli special forces target Iranian missile facility in Syria,
destroy key equipment.
There are so many Israeli bombings of Syria. I don't report 75% of them.
It's so common.
It's kind of like, hey, if it's Tuesday, Israel's bombing Syria.
You never see Syria bombing Israel.
For years and years and years, I've never seen Syria bomb Israel.
But Israel bombs Syria, and the Syrians take it.
And the world just sits back and says, that's Israel.
If you get on their bad side, they're going to hit you.
Well, anyhow, another Israeli attack on Syria.
Next, and this is the one I want you to see.
This is the important one.

I want to get back to this Financial Times article.
SEAL Team 6, the clandestine U.S. Navy commando unit that killed bin Laden in 2011,
has been training for missions to help taiwan if it
is invaded by china the elite navy special forces team has been planning and training for a taiwan
conflict for more than a year at damn neck its headquarters at virginia. The secret training underlines the increased U.S. focus on deterring China from
attacking Taiwan while stepping up preparations for such an event. Financial Times special operations
command, which rarely discusses SEAL Team 6, referred questions about its Taiwan planning to the Pentagon, which did not comment on specific
details. A spokesperson said the Defense Department and its forces prepare and train
for a wide range of contingencies. Yes, and it goes on to say that the SEAL Team 6 is planning for
possible Taiwan-related missions should come as no surprise. That's coming from Sean Naylor, author of Relentless Strike,
a book on the Joint Special Operations Command,
who runs an online national security publication, Highside.
With Pentagon's reorientation over the past few years to focus on great power competition,
it was inevitable that even the nation's most elite counterterrorism units
would seek out roles in that arena for that path leads to relevance, missions, and money, Naylor said.
Now, my question for you is, if this is so secret, how did it get out?
Okay, you beat me to it, Doc.
So, the Rothschild-owned newspaper Financial Times.
Their newsletter, yeah. Somehow, they got tipped off
that SEAL Team 6 is secretly
training for a
Chinese invasion of Taiwan.
And Financial Times
called the Pentagon and said,
do you want to talk about it?
And the Pentagon said,
well, actually, they called
the Navy, didn't they?
I think they called the Navy.
Well, the Operations Command.
They called Special Operations Command.
And they said, you know, you need to call the Pentagon.
And the Pentagon said, oh, we're always training for contingencies.
Folks, the Rothschild-owned newspaper, Financial Times, did not just stumble on this information.
No. And they didn't just say, let's, did not just stumble on this information. No.
And they didn't just say, let's call the Pentagon and see what they say about it.
There are people in high places who want China to know that the United States military is actively preparing for war with China.
That's what they want.
So we're going to have a war with Russia. We're going to have a war with China. That's what they want. So we're going to have a war with Russia.
We're going to have a war with China.
We're going to have a war with North Korea.
We're going to have a war with Iran.
Man, just throw up the confetti.
We're going to bomb everything.
It's a world war.
That's right.
Let's really go world war this time.
Let the balloons go.
It's a world war.
It doesn't get bigger than
this folks who's left oh venezuela let's blow up venezuela too who else has made them mad
i mean you go for it you just wipe them all out at one time it's gonna be a little food
shortage for maybe a couple decades a couple decades yes yeah we'll fix it don't worry about
hey i got one more thing.
This is a good news story.
I got to finish with a good news story.
ABC Channel 7.
John Bovee helped talk a distraught woman off the ledge of a Nashville bridge over the Mississippi.
This is an amazing thing to see.
For some reason, Bon Jovi was on the bridge filming,
and they noticed a woman on the ledge getting ready to jump into the river and commit suicide.
There's Bon Jovi walking up to her, and then you're going to see the scene change,
and he gets her off the ledge, brings her over the wall of the bridge, and the woman was turned over to authorities who got her help.
A good ending to what could be a very sad tragedy.
And you just have to wonder, Doc, I mean,
what are the odds that somebody like Bon Jovi is going to be on a bridge?
And think of all the songs he's written, the titles.
Yes.
On the Edge.
Living on a Prayer.
It's My Life.
I mean, there's so many different directions.
You know a song's coming out of this.
Sure.
There's going to be a song.
There's going to be a video.
But I really want to applaud him.
And look, Almighty God had Mondovi there
because God loved that woman.
Yes.
God loved that woman and was saying, don't do it.
I'm going to arrange to have a very famous person
standing on that bridge and you're going to recognize who he is
and you're going to give up on your desire to commit suicide.
It's amazing.
You got to praise the Lord.
A life was saved.
And she lives on.
Hey, morning mass is coming up.
Don't go away.
We love you very much.

Welcome to Morning Manna.
We are studying the Word of God, and almost this entire year we have been in the Gospel according to St. Matthew.
We started last February. We're now in the 22nd chapter, and today we're looking at verses 23 through 33.
Let's pray and invite the Holy Spirit.
Dear wonderful Heavenly Father, this is a beautiful day, and we give you glory and honor
for it.
Father, we are desirous to be fed by you, by your Spirit, to be nourished and strengthened
spiritually, so that we would be strong disciples for you, witnesses, servants who would know your word and would do great exploits in the last days as prophesied by Daniel.
Come Holy Spirit and lead us in this study in Morning Manna in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Amen. And we once again welcome you to Morning Manna,
no matter where you are in the world right now,
and no matter if it's morning or not, we welcome you.
We're live at 8 o'clock hour here on the East Coast of the United States,
and we invite you to be with us live if you can.
Otherwise, you can always listen to archives of Morning Manna on faithandvalues.com,
so we invite you to do that as well.
We're still in Matthew chapter 22 as we continue our journey through this particular gospel.
Picking back up at verse 23 of chapter 22 today.
And it reads from the King James.
The same day came to him the Sadducees.
Remember, he had just encountered the Pharisees, disciples, and the Herodians. Now,
the same day came to him the Sadducees,
which say that there is no resurrection,
and asked him, saying,
Master, Moses said, if a man die
having no children, his brother
shall marry his wife and raise up seed
under his brother.
And now there were with us seven brethren,
and the first, when he had married
a wife, deceased, and having no issue, left his wife unto his brother.
Likewise, the second also, and the third unto the seventh.
And last of all, the woman died too, after these seven brothers.
Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife shall she be of the seven
for they all had her jesus answered and said unto them he do err not knowing the scriptures nor the
power of god for in the resurrection day in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in
marriage but are as the angels of god in heaven but as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God,
saying, I am the God of Abraham,
the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
God is not the God of the dead,
but of the living.
And when the multitude heard this,
they were astonished at his doctrine.
Amen.
Astonished. astonished at his doctrine amen astonished so i'm going to begin by combining verses 23 through 28 rather than walking through each one individually because this is all part of the question asked by the Sadducees. So again, the same day came to him the Sadducees,
and they asked a question, all right? Master, Moses said, if a man dies having no children,
his brother shall marry his wife and raise up the seed under his brother. Now there were
with us seven brethren
and the first when he had married a wife deceased and having no issue left his wife under his
brother likewise the second also and the third unto the seventh and the last of all the woman
died also therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall be shall she be of the seven?
For they all had her.
It starts with the same day.
Which day?
The same day the Pharisees and the Herodians attempted to entrap Jesus to say something about paying taxes to Caesar that they could use against him.
That same day came to him the Sadducees.
So after the Pharisees and the Herodians failed in their conspiracy,
the Sadducees tried their hand at questioning Jesus.
It's interesting, Doc, the Sadducees apparently were not far on the outside
that even the Pharisees and the Herodians
didn't interact with them
but unlike the other conspirators
the Sadducees topic was theology not taxation
so who were the Sadducees?
They were sophisticated materialists.
We would today call them secular Jews.
And yet this party of Jews, the Sadducees, were in control of the priesthood at that time.
Yes, isn't that interesting?
The political priesthood, at least.
The priesthood at that time. Yes, isn't that interesting? The political priesthood, at least. The priesthood appointed by Rome.
They controlled
the priesthood of Israel,
of Judaism,
but didn't believe
anything the priests
were supposed to do or teach.
Interesting, isn't it?
Kind of like today, isn't it?
Mm-hmm.
Kind of like today's evangelical churches.
So they engaged Jesus in a conversation about life after death.
Unlike the Pharisees, the Sadducees didn't believe in it remember the Pharisees believed in life
after death they believed in a resurrection they believed in angels the Sadducees rejected all that
stuff they were men and women of reason they maintained their jewish identity uh as doc said they were in control of the priesthood
but they didn't believe anything spiritual it was all religion
it was man-centered religion so the sadducees denied not only the resurrection of the body after death but they also denied a future
state they denied the separate existence of the soul after death so while the
term resurrection typically refers to the raising of a body after death the sadducees denial
encompassed any notion of an afterlife
it wasn't just the resurrection that they denied
they didn't believe you lived at all after you died. Right. Nor did they believe in any kind of a spiritual realm at all.
Like you said, they didn't believe in angels, but they didn't believe in a spirit life, if you will.
This was all you got right here on this side.
So they taught that when the body dies, the soul dies with it.
Yes.
And we have people today who teach the same thing.
We have religious people who teach it.
We have denominations that teach it.
That we're only here for now.
That the soul is not
immortal.
There are denominations
that teach that today.
But this disbelief
extended to angels and spirits as well.
Right.
They also only believed the Torah,
the first five books of Moses.
So they discounted
everything else beyond that.
They didn't count the
prophets or any of that.
Because you have to go to the
prophets to get an Old Testament
teaching of the resurrection.
And you really don't find
it that much in the first five books of
Moses. But it
is taught in the Old Testament.
There's a life after death,
there's a resurrection, there's going to be
a judgment day, and all that,
but the Sadducees
threw all that out because
they would recognize the
prophets as they said
some good things and stuff, but it wasn't
God's word. It wasn't
yea and amen, if you will. Just the Torah.
Well, Doc, they rejected the prophets because the prophets
rejected their theology. That's right.
Their
rejection of the resurrection and immortality
was a significant departure
from the teachings of Jewish scripture yes precisely what doc just said they
threw out everything other than the Torah it's interesting even the pagan nations believed in life after death so the
Sadducees had a complete total rejection of life after death so in this verse
they they approach in verse 24 they approach Jesus with a question concerning marriage and the law.
Now, they're trying to do the same thing.
They want to entrap Jesus.
They addressed him as master, meaning teacher.
Same way that the Pharisees and Herodians came with their flattery.
The true one. you're true Oh master teacher so they enact they address Jesus as
master and they preface their question by invoking the name of Moses and that
was to imply that their question was based on mosaic law and divine command right
so they asked jesus master moses said if a man die
having no children his brother shall marry his wife and raise up seed unto his brother so they they make a reference to the law in Deuteronomy
which states that if a man dies childless his brother should marry the
widow to raise up offspring for his deceased brother but they presented a
hypothetical scenario involving a woman who successively married seven brothers.
And each of the seven marriages produced no children.
So this is the hypothetical dilemma they're presenting to Jesus.
Jesus, if your concept of the resurrection is true,
then answer this question.
Whose wife shall she be in the resurrection?
Right.
She had seven husbands and no children.
Whose wife shall she be?
So,
despite the dubious nature of the scenario,
you know,
Jesus didn't look at them and go,
that's so stupid.
He just calmly
blew apart their plan.
He addressed their question seriously.
He didn't say, get out of here.
You guys are trying to trick me.
No, he received their question with politeness with dignity and he then he just hit it
he hit the ball out of the park nothing rattles Jesus you understand that's
what's so cool about him nothing rattles him nothing gets him nervous, upset, indignant.
He knew what they were up to, but he had the answer.
How did he have the answer? Well, he's God.
He's the one that gave the law to Moses.
That's what everybody forgets so verses 25 27 now they there were with us seven brothers the
first married and died having no offspring in the same way the second also the third to the seventh
after all them the woman died so the Sadducees believed that this hypothetical scenario exposed a flaw in the concept of resurrection
because a resurrection would mean the woman would be Jesus to ridicule the idea of a resurrection.
John, or Doc, I love what John Chrysostom said about the Sadducees' questions. Chrysostom said about the Sadducees' questions.
Chrysostom was the Archbishop of Constantinople
in the fourth century.
And his sermons were so eloquent
that his nickname was Golden Mouth.
Yes.
Chrysostom pointed,um pointed out the absurdity
of the Sadducees scenario.
And he jokingly wrote that it was unlikely such a scenario
would occur in reality.
He suggested that after the second brother's death,
the remaining brothers would avoid marrying the woman
because they would see her as an omen
in other words christ was some said why would why would the other five brothers marry this woman
if the first two brothers died if they had any sense they wouldn't marry her you know it
was the way he dealt with it saying this this this scenario is ridiculous but Jesus he didn't you
know he didn't um belittle their question he knew it was. He knew the reason for the question, but he had the answer.
Yes. I think it's interesting, the Sadducees, of course, they knew the law, they knew the Torah,
they knew the rules and regulation regarding the remarrying, you know, the wife and everything,
but they didn't believe the resurrection. And so the trap that the sadducees
was laying out here was that all right if uh if jesus answers this then he's affirming the uh
uh resurrection uh which makes him not a party of anything we want to be a part of
and so uh but they this was all a trap so j Jesus knew the trap that they were setting up for him and everything.
Right.
And if he said, well, in the resurrection, she'll be married to all seven, then he was endorsing polygamy.
Right.
So the question was focused on the woman.
And they presented to Jesus a question that seemed to be a perplexing situation
that had no logical, reasonable answer.
Again, to the Sadducees,
there's no way to answer this hypothetical question
and be reasonable
but the essence
of the complex
theological trap
presented by the Sadducees was this
the woman remained childless
throughout her marriages
and the absence of children obviously complicated the matter legally
because there was no direct heir to continue the family line or inherit the property.
So the question posed by the Sadducees was intended to stump Jesus
and to expose to everybody the flaw in the concept of resurrection.
So Jesus, in verse 29, he answered them and said,
Gentlemen, you are mistaken, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God that's this is the essence of the answer
you don't know the word of god and you don't know the power of god he summed up the sad you
see perfectly there that says it all that's the reason you're in error, because you don't know the scriptures,
and you don't know the power of God.
So he corrects the Sadducees' misunderstanding
of the doctrine of resurrection.
And he emphasizes that their error
stems from their lack of understanding
the word of God.
The Sadducees mistakenly added the idea
that people would marry in the afterlife,
which was not supported by scripture.
Correct.
They had no scripture to say
that people were going to be married in the afterlife.
They assumed it.
And that's why Jesus said,
you don't know what you're talking about. You don't know the scriptures. they assumed it. And that's why Jesus said,
you don't know what you're talking about.
You don't know the scriptures.
You don't know the scriptures first,
and plus, you don't know the power of God,
that God can sustain the soul even beyond this life.
Amen. Amen.
So he refuted their flawed theology
by addressing their limited understanding of the scripture
and their flawed perception of God's divine authority
and attributes and abilities
it tells us that why the importance of interpreting scripture accurately and not adding anything to it yes see they added to it they added that there would be marriage in the afterlife
well well first of all they took away the word first right by denying you know
massive portions of the scriptures and then they added to what little they had
left right so it's it's if you think about this question, Doc, they didn't even believe in an afterlife.
Why are you asking Jesus who this woman is going to be married to?
You don't believe in an afterlife.
What would it matter to you? So they're inserting this ridiculous idea that there's going to be marriage in life after this life.
And they didn't even believe that there was going to be an afterlife.
But they added something to the scripture that wasn't there but at the heart of this thing doc
the root of the sadducees rejection of the resurrection was their doubt about the power of god
they did not believe god could gather together the scattered dust and bones of the dead and reconstruct their bodies and breathe life back into it.
That's what it comes down to.
They were so committed to reason, to science, to what they would say is just common sense look look at the world
look at the physical world nobody could gather up the dust of somebody who's
been dead a thousand years nobody could do it including Almighty God how could
he do it that's what it's all about they could not believe that a
God in heaven could somehow find the dust of a man or woman who died 2,000
years earlier and pull all that dust together and form a body out of it again. I have no problem with that at all.
That's at the heart of it.
That goes beyond
misinterpreting the scriptures.
They misinterpreted God.
And really,
the God of the Sadducees was a a powerless god it was a god that didn't care
a god that just kind of set things in motion and walked away uh you know uh you you guys
could go do your own thing and everything there's no reward in the afterlife or anything so just
live a religious life now so to me it's you
understand why the Sadducees were sad they had no hope they're sad you see so
he Jesus challenged their limited view of God's power. And he showed them that God is fully capable
of reorganizing and resurrecting human bodies.
So as I said, their misunderstanding
stemmed from a failure to comprehend the scriptures,
which clearly speaks of the continuity of the soul after death
and a resurrection of the body.
But it also stemmed from their inability
to recognize the unlimited power of God
who is capable of creating and resurrecting life from
dust yes it is mind-boggling to think about it think about how many people
have died since Adam and Eve and yet on the final day, when Christ comes back,
they all come out of the grave.
There are people at the bottom of the sea.
There are people who were buried in caves,
people who were buried in mines.
There were people who were eaten by lions.
Yes.
But their bodies are going to be, God knows where every particle of your dead body,
when you're dead, he knows where every particle is located. The wind that has blown away
the decomposed dust of humans.
God knows where every piece of dust is at.
When you comprehend it,
it makes you stand in awe of Almighty God.
And if you deny the resurrection, you have denied the entire Christian faith.
Why have this faith if there's no resurrection?
Yes.
Why follow Jesus if there's no life after death?
Is he just a role model?
Is he just a role model to show us how to live with everybody on this life?
And then when this life is over, it's done.
It's over.
A lot of people believe that, Rick.
I know they do.
There are a lot of people who actually respect Jesus and say, God sent us a role model.
But Jesus is dead.
And one day you and I will be dead.
And his job was to teach us how to live.
Right.
But what good is a role model if there's no reward?
That's right.
What good is it? Is it just so you feel good here or
you know because if there's no accountability if there's no answer for
this life then why not live any way you want to it doesn't matter there's a role
model or not there can't be accountability if there's no life after
death all right there can be no judgment day, no rewards, no punishment.
Verse 30, for in the resurrection, they neither marry nor are given in marriage,
but are as the angels of God in heaven.
So, as always, Jesus' response goes beyond the immediate question he reveals deeper
truths he doesn't just answer the question he takes the question as a springboard to take the people deeper into the ways of god
so first he compared the state of believers in the resurrection to that of angels in heaven
he didn't say they would be angels but are like angels of God in heaven.
Right.
And that's another common modern misconception
about the afterlife, that we become angels.
A couple weeks ago, I talked about this on Ask Doc.
You know, because someone asked the question,
do we become angels when we get to heaven?
Well, no, we don't become angels.
There are angels, but we don't become angels.
We're not waiting to get our wings like Clarence
and It's a Wonderful Life or anything like that.
We're a separate species, a separate race,
whatever you want to call it, away from the angels.
So we don't get promoted to angels
and we don't get wings or anything along that line.
We're who we are now in Christ, in the heavenlies. But this is one of the scriptures that gets taken out of context a lot of times.
It says we're going to be like the angels, but that's not the case at all, is it, Rick?
That's right.
But what it does, it implies freedom from the limitations and
infirmities of this earthly life yes we will have freedom from the frailties the sicknesses
all the problems that plague us in our physical bodies in this world. We will be as angels. We won't have those
limitations, those sickness angels, their attributes.
So Jesus indicates a complete departure from the institution of marriage
as we know it in earthly terms.
And he suggests a different mode of existence in the resurrection.
So the absence of marriage in the resurrection challenges conventional thinking of eternal relationships.
And it prompts legitimate questions about the nature of identity and connection beyond death.
Now, Rick, it's interesting that the Mormons believe in marriage after death.
And yet you have this scripture that is very plain.
They're neither given marriage or anything.
And the way they get around, the way the Mormons get around it,
is that, no, you can't get married in the future,
but if you get married in this life,
you're married in the future.
That's how they get around it.
But that denies what Jesus said.
That's right.
What did he say?
For in the resurrection, they neither marry nor are given in marriage.
Right.
So I see what the Mormons are saying.
Well, you can't get married in heaven.
But if you're married now, you're married in heaven.
That's what they're saying.
Right.
Which has no scriptural basis at all either.
And so Jesus would have a word about that.
So what we do see is the absence of marriage
signifies a departure from earthly desires and needs.
It speaks of a higher, more spiritual state of existence
where earthly ties and relationships have no place.
So, if your family members are saved, your family will be there, but you're not going to be married to your spouse.
Your children will be there.
Your parents will be there if they're saved.
But the relationship is completely different.
Right. and again we'll be like
the holy angels of heaven
free from limitations
free from the necessities of the flesh
no hunger, no thirst, no weeping, no crying
no sorrow
that in itself is worth whatever it takes
to get there
just to have that existence that in itself is worth whatever it takes to get there.
Just to have that existence of eternal bliss, happiness.
Can you even imagine not having a problem?
Can you imagine having life with no sorrow,
no emotional pain?
There are people listening to me
right now, you're so deep
in emotional pain, you can't even think
of a life
without it.
You can't even imagine life
on earth without deep emotional pain pain becomes
part of your identity yes it's so deep in you you can't even see yourself in your mind living without
it that's not to deny that the pain is real and that something was done that caused the pain.
That's not denying that at all.
I'm just saying there are people listening to me right now.
You can't see yourself ever in this life living without that emotional pain.
Or you may be physically sick.
You can't see yourself ever well you have to
change the way you think you have to change the way you see yourself you have
to change the way you speak about yourself you speak about yourself every
day either inside your head or you mumble things.
You're speaking about yourself.
That's the image your brain has accepted.
This is who I'm supposed to be.
I'm supposed to be sick, broke, miserable, unhappy. Because you see yourself that way,
you speak it,
and you can't see yourself any other way.
And it's hard to get out of that rut.
So, so this teaching is by jesus that we're reading right now it's also in luke chapter 20
verses 34 to 36 and And Luke goes on to say that there will be the inability to die.
Yes.
There will be no need to have babies.
This is Luke 20, verses 34 to 36.
And Jesus answering said unto them, the children of this world marry and are given in marriage, but they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, neither can they die anymore, for they are equal unto the angels and are the children of God,
being the children of the resurrection.
Yes.
All right, Doc, I'm going to toss a theological grenade out here.
I'm going to roll it out here on the table for you because you you're more schooled in bible theology than i am i i'm just i'm just a
a lay mutt that came in off the street i might have more plumbing but that means i get clogged
up more so so this statement i was pondering this this morning i'm going to tell you right now so i
this is the first time i zeroed in on this ever in my life so i don't i haven't had time
to really ponder and pray and seek the lord about this it's this these last words in verse 36 of Luke 20
and are the children of God being the children of the resurrection right so does this raise
questions I'm only asking the question all right so I don't want anybody to say Rick's teaching a strange doctrine I'm just raising a question for
us to think about to pray to discern to talk about in the future does this raise
questions about the timing in the nature of our adoption by God.
In the sense that you're asking,
are we not truly adopted until resurrection?
Yes.
Yes.
So while believers on earth are adopted as children of God
through faith in Christ.
Right.
And the witness of the Holy Spirit.
We have to wait for the full manifestation of this adoption until the resurrection.
Well, my initial response would be that we've already experienced a first resurrection already through faith in Christ.
We have been raised from the dead by faith and through baptism.
We've been raised in life.
That's the first resurrection.
So my initial response without getting too deep in the weeds
would be just like we only experience death once
but resurrection twice,
there are going to be those
that experience death twice,
the second
death. We don't experience a second
death. When
we die or get
transformed, that's the only
end of this physical existence
we'll ever experience as believers
in Christ. So we're already,
since we're in Christ,
we're already in the resurrection
of Christ
by faith and by
baptism and the scripture says this is the first resurrection and so that's where i would land on
it okay i'm just i'm just asking um those words jumped out today this morning as I was studying for this lesson. We know that the Holy Spirit serves as the witness, the seal, the earnest, the down payment,
and the pledge of believer's adoption, which gives us the assurance of our salvation
and enables us to cry out to God as our Father.
Right.
Now, on the final day, we're going to experience a bodily resurrection
where our spirits are reunited with the body that God brings back together.
We have to have an eternal body for eternal existence.
And so we're given a forever body and everybody is both good and bad
so that's something a lot of people miss along the way in that everybody gets a new body uh
the righteous to exist in the atmosphere of that new heaven and new earth and the unrighteous
where they'll experience eternal torment in an eternal body.
And a lot of people don't consider the wicked as having a resurrection as well.
A bodily resurrection.
But the scripture is pretty plain about it.
So I think there in verse 36 in Luke, where it's talking there,
it's talking about we've experienced that first resurrection already.
We look forward to the fulfillment of the second bodily resurrection
that has yet to occur yet.
And when do we receive that glorified body when we come out of the grave?
I talk about it in my book, Final Day.
We receive our glorified body when we come out of the grave, when we see Jesus.
When the dead come out of the grave and they see Jesus,
when their eyes see Jesus,
in the twinkling of an eye,
they're transformed.
So, again, the Sadducees error came from their misconception of of Scripture
their misunderstanding of Scripture their inability to believe that God had the power to resurrect dead people.
Their misconception that the resurrection would involve the continuation of earthly relationships such as marriage.
Well, you know, Doc, right there, that in itself answers the Mormons.
Right. that in itself answers the Mormons right because they asked Jesus well which one of the brothers would she be married to and he said none of them that answers it right there yes none if the
Mormons were right she would be married to all,
and that's where they would get their polygamy.
So maybe they were trying to use this to justify polygamy.
So, the resurrection, as we know, confers immortality upon believers.
And it renders marriage unnecessary.
Because there's no reason, there will be no propagation of the species.
There are not going to be any more people born.
Although the Christian Zionists teach it.
They teach that there's going to be babies born for a thousand years after christ comes back that's right
do you understand that what john haggie and all these guys that teach christian zionism
robert jeffries all these guys teach that there are going to be babies born for a thousand years on the earth
because they believe in a 1,000 year millennial kingdom on the earth and they said oh there's
people going to be having babies and they said people are going to die
people will die and and wait on the rest they believe the resurrection
is at the end of the thousand years.
Yeah.
So crazy.
They have to add resurrections and add, it's, well, anyway.
You do here, not knowing the scripture.
Yes.
So there's something else here.
God preserves genders.
Male and female.
This change does not imply the abolition of gender distinctions.
It simply says there will be the cessation of human propagation in marriage.
But we're not going to be unisex.
Right.
If you're a man today, you're going to be a man forever.
If you're a woman now, you're going to be a woman forever.
There will not be any transitioning of genders.
And so when he says it would be like as the angels of heaven there it's not saying uh and they'll use this too rick that uh like the angels have no gender by the
way we don't know that we don't know that we assume that uh that the angels have be like the
angels in heaven well just as the angels in heaven have no requirement or even desire for marriage,
that's the way it'll be for us.
Right.
But you're right, Rick.
There's nothing in Scripture that says that we cease to be who we are.
And that includes being men, being women. You know, we somehow in the afterlife
even still identify
with our tribes and with our nations.
How does that work? I don't know.
But the scripture says that
in, you know,
on that final day that we're judged
based upon, you know,
who we were grouped with in this life.
So there's that
that goes along with it too
uh but it goes right back again yeah not knowing the scriptures
he he is our father now and he will be our father forever that's right and and the father
divinely chose your gender when he made you in your mother's womb.
Right.
And that's what he wants you to be for eternity.
Verses 31, 32.
But as touching the resurrection of the dead,
have you not read that which was spoken to you by God,
saying, I am the God of Abraham and and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
So now Jesus, like a lawyer, he goes in with his closing argument for the immortality of the soul.
And he did it by emphasizing the present tense.
Yes.
Used in Exodus 3.6.
I am.
I am the God of Abraham.
I am the God of Isaac. I am the God of Isaac.
I am the God of Jacob.
So that was spoken to Moses at the burning bush,
where God identified himself as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Yes.
The living God.
The living God of living people he spoke that to moses
yes and the patriarchs had been done had been dead for centuries yes even in moses day they'd
been in moses's day they had been dead for centuries and and so this being that appeared at the burning bush and Moses said who are you
they said I am I am the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob meaning they're with me now yes
and so what Jesus didn't say I was I was the God of Abraham. I am. Yes.
And so what Jesus was doing was he was using their own belief.
Now, they believed the Torah.
So they had the Torah.
That was their document.
Not the prophets, not the Psalms or anything, but just the Torah.
And Jesus says something interesting here in verse 31 that jumped out to me earlier today.
He says, that which was spoken unto you by god saying unto you by god in other words uh he's saying
to the sadducees here now you recognize the torah as the word of god god said to you these words, I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
And so he's laid the trap out to them.
They say they denied the resurrection,
but they also say that they adhere to the word of Moses.
If they adhere to the word of Moses,
they have to believe that Abraham is alive, that Jacob was alive, that Isaac was alive.
So you can't have it both ways.
That's right.
Doc, I can see God the Father in heaven looking over at his son Jesus and said,
hey, look, I just said something to Moses.
I said, I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
You're going to need that sentence in a couple thousand years.
That's going to come in handy one day.
Yeah, I said it for you, okay?
You're going to need it when you're dealing with the Sadducees.
There were no Sadducees when Moses was there.
But God saw in the future there would be Sadducees.
And so he spoke to Moses, I am.
Doc, you almost believe that God said those words specifically so the Sadducees could be convicted of their unbelief.
Yes.
So despite the patriarchs being physically deceased for centuries,
God speaks to them in the present tense,
which indicates there was an ongoing existence of those men.
Yes.
So if God is the God of the patriarchs,
they must still exist in some form now.
So he's challenging their disbelief
and he shows them the absurdity of their theology
to think that god rules over those who are extinct
or annihilated yes he's saying if if you accept the torah
and you know that god said to Moses, I am.
I am the God of Abraham.
Are you now saying that he's the God of the dead?
You know that was causing them to scratch their heads.
Because nobody had ever presented that question to them.
Now, Exodus 3.6 doesn't directly prove bodily resurrection.
It does prove the establishment of the existence of the soul after death.
It doesn't directly affirm resurrection. But the debate with the Sadducees revolves around the existence of the soul after death, which clearly has implications for belief
in a bodily resurrection and a state of rewards and punishments. So if the existence of the soul after death is accepted, then it logically follows that
the bodies of the dead would be raised as well. Because Jesus has got the Sadducees now in a corner.
They accept the Torah. But the Torah says that God appeared to Moses and said, I am the God of Abraham,
Isaac, and Jacob. So these men of logic and reason, they've got to do something with this.
What does this mean? If Abraham is alive, then our theology is wrong.
Because God cannot be the God of the dead.
It just logically follows that the patriarchs must be living somewhere in some form. Now, today in the church world, Christian church, the precise nature of this existence now
is debated among Christian denominations, and today is not the time and place for a teaching
about it. But the general consensus is that the souls of saints dwell in the presence of God awaiting the resurrection.
There's debate about where are the souls, but again, the general consensus is the souls of saved saints are dwelling in the presence of God,
and they're waiting for the
resurrection so again the denominations in the Christian world today are you
know they still debate where where our souls when they leave this life what
where are they held okay that's not the purpose of today's talk. I am absolutely confident that the souls of the saints are dwelling
in the presence of God. They're waiting on the resurrection. I can almost see saints
that have left this world looking at the Father saying, is it time yet? Can we go get our bodies? When's the resurrection?
They know that resurrection is coming.
Now notice the phrase, the God of.
It's repeated three times like a trinity.
I am the God of Abraham.
The God of Isaac.
The God of Jacob three times it emphasizes the divine relation to Abraham Isaac and Jacob individually each patriarch
received the promise directly from God himself, which proves the intimacy of the relationship with God.
He is the God of Abraham, but he's also the God of Isaac,
and he's the God of Jacob.
All three men had a personal relationship with Almighty God.
Now, something else to see.
God made promises to Abraham and to Isaac and Jacob.
Therefore, Abraham and the patriarchs must be resurrected to receive the complete fulfillment
of those promises. Yes. Now, so, hey, Doc, welcome back. So, some people would say well but God already
gave the land to Abraham he he fulfilled those promises and wait a minute Hebrews
11 verses 9 and 10 says speaking of a of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, but he, Abraham, sojourned in the land of promise.
Yes.
As in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob,
the heirs with him of the same promise.
For he looked for a city which hath foundations,
whose builder and maker is God.
So Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob have yet to receive the complete fulfillment of the promise.
The same promise.
Verse 9 says, the same promise.
And the ultimate fulfillment of that promise was resurrection.
Yes. That's the ultimate fulfillment of that promise was resurrection. Yes.
The ultimate fulfillment of that promise.
Because we read in Joshua that the land promise itself was fulfilled.
But Abraham was looking for something beyond that promise.
He was looking for a city.
And that city is New Jerusalem.
Right.
Whose builder and maker is God. So Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob must be resurrected so that they can live in that city.
Hallelujah.
Isn't it awesome just thinking?
You're going to be able to shake hands with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Think of the stories they're going to tell.
You'd never run out of, I mean, there's no time.
Time ceases to exist.
You'll have forever to fellowship with them.
Abraham never physically entered that city during his time on earth.
But because God is faithful to his promises,
Abraham is assured he will be resurrected to inherit that city.
Amen. Amen.
The patriarchs in both body and soul will be resurrected to enjoy eternal life with God,
and they will be as of the angels.
Therefore, the assertion of God's relationship with each of the patriarchs
is the evidence for the resurrection of the body,
as the promise of eternal life encompasses the entirety of human
nature god had a personal individual relationship with each of those men yes
and each of them will receive the promise right and so in responding to the Sadducees here,
the Sadducees had basically rejected the idea of resurrection,
but then Jesus turns right around and says,
gentlemen, it's all about the resurrection.
That's what it's all about.
You may reject it, but that's all it's about.
There's a resurrection that has already occurred because abraham isaac
and jacob exist with god at this present time they are experiencing the first fruits of resurrection
even as i'm speaking unto you gentlemen yes and remember these uh words are being spoken by Jesus as he is moving towards the cross.
The cross is in the near future.
And the resurrection is the purpose of him going to the cross.
I want to close with the words of Apostle Paul, Romans 14, verses 8 and 9.
For whether we live, we live unto the Lord.
And whether we die, we die unto the Lord.
Whether we live, therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
For to this end, Christ both died and rose and revived,
that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living
praise god that is your assurance for today jesus christ is the dead is the lord of both the dead
and the living and the dead are with him this very moment. It's only their bodies that are dead.
And when your body ceases to exist, you will not cease to exist, but you will be with Christ instantly.
You will instantly be in his presence.
And you will be assured of the day on the final day.
You will come back with him.
When he returns to earth, you travel with him.
You left something back here, your body.
And the body that you get will be completely new.
Because when you come out of the grave, you're going to see,
you're going to see Christ.
You're going to see him in all of his glory
and you will be instantly transformed.
Amen.
That's it for today, Doc.
