Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's national and international news with this article published by the New York Post.
Trump warns Hamas to free hostages by noon Saturday or he will let hell break loose.
So we've got a lot to cover today.
President Trump's been busy.
He's said a lot in the past 24 hours and his administration has done a lot also
we probably hear you know we probably have enough material to do a two three hour program
easily uh you know doc a lot of podcasters will focus on one or two topics and they'll talk for
one to three hours on one or two topics we We often will cover 50 to 100 topics in an hour.
Yes.
Okay.
So that's what we're going to do here today.
We're going to give you a very fast view of what Mr. Trump and his administration has done just in the past 24 hours.
So we're going to start with the focus on the Middle East.
A lot of it today is his plans to reshape the Middle East.
So he has warned Hamas to free all the hostages by this Saturday at noon or else.
And you can fill in the blank of whatever you think or else looks like.
Now, we've got a we've got a video.
We've got quite a few videos here of Mr. Trump.
Let him say it in his own words.
It's better understood if we just hear him say what he plans to do.
So here is Mr. Trump talking about what hamas can expect on saturday at noon time
well i would say this and i'm going to let that because that's israel's decision but
as far as i'm concerned if all of the hostages aren't returned by
saturday at 12 o'clock i think it's an appropriate time i would say cancel it and all bets are off and let hell break out.
I'd say they ought to be returned by 12 o'clock on Saturday.
And if they're not returned, all of them, not in drips and drabs, not two and one and three and four and two.
Saturday at 12 o'clock.
And after that, I would say all hell is going to break out.
And I don't think they're going to do it. I think a lot of them are dead.
I think a lot of the hostages are dead. I think it's a great it's a great human tragedy.
What's what's happened, how people can be that mean to do i'm speaking for myself israel can
override it but from myself saturday at 12 o'clock and if they're not if they're not here all hell is
going to break out doc you may not have to relocate two million palestinians after saturday
well that's a good point hadn't thought about that aspect of things.
What he's doing, he's giving Netanyahu permission to kill off as many people as he can starting Saturday.
He may not intend it that way, but that's what Netanyahu hears.
Yes.
You just gave me the green light.
To do whatever. To do whatever I want to do at 12 o'clock noon Saturday. Yes. You just gave me the green light.
To do whatever.
To do whatever I want to do at 12 o'clock noon Saturday.
Well, what does Bibi have to say about it? Here's Jerusalem Post.
Netanyahu declares war to resume if hostages not return by Saturday.
And he is aligning himself with that same deadline as President Trump.
If Hamas does not release the hostages by Saturday at noon,
he says, the hostage ceasefire deal will end.
Prime Minister Netanyahu detailed Israel's next steps
following the conclusion of the political and security cabinet meeting,
which convened Tuesday early afternoon,
to discuss the Hamas suspension of the hostages release.
He said, if Hamas does not return our hostages by
noon on Saturday, so aligning himself with the Trump deadline, the ceasefire will end and the
IDF will resume intense fighting until Hamas is decisively defeated. Netanyahu said, adding,
the decision had been reached unanimously by cabinet members. We actually have a video of Prime Minister Netanyahu
talking about this particular topic,
and he spoke in modern Hebrew.
I'll be reading the captions here. Let's watch.
I have concluded a deep discussion of four hours in the security cabinet.
We all expressed outrage at the shocking situation of our three hostages who were released last Shabbat. We have all advocated
President Trump's demand for our hostages to be released next Shabbat. And we have all advanced
the President's revolutionary vision for the future of Gaza. In light of Hamas's announcement
of its decision to violate the agreement and not release our
hostages, I have ordered the IDF to gather forces within and around the Gaza Strip.
This action has been carried out in these hours and will be completed in the nearest
future.
The decision I passed unanimously in the cabinet is this.
If Hamas does not return our hostages by Shabbat noon, the ceasefire will end and the IDF will return to intense fighting until Hamas is finally defeated.
So there you have it from Prime Minister Benjamin netanyahu well if those guys in hamas had any uh intelligence they they would end this nightmare right away um their strategy has failed they they failed the palestinian people
i mean their strategy was to launch this uh you know this war uh it's been almost two years ago and um it completely failed
now i'm aware that the people in gaza in the gaza strip have been under occupation for decades
their lives have been miserable and when you're treated like an animal, well, you know, if you mistreat a dog long enough, the dog will bite you.
Yes.
So that's what Hamas did.
But after that, what do you have to do to the dog?
You put the dog down.
Okay.
And I know that's cruel to say, but in this situation, it's similar.
This is really bad.
This is a really bad situation because if Hamas doesn't release, I don't care what happens to Hamas.
I don't care.
They're not.
Right.
They're total losers.
Okay.
We're not extending them a bouquet of flowers.
That's right.
But I do care about the little Palestinian children.
Right.
I do care about them. Because they're collateral damage. on saturday a lot of them are going to die and on sunday and
monday a lot of them are going to die it will be a nightmare again the ones that survive will be
traumatized for life that's what i care about i care care about the children. And this time when Israel does this, there will be no blowback on it.
Israel can virtually wipe out half the Gazan population if it wanted to at this point.
And there would be no outcry, at least from the U.S. about it.
Well, the U.S. isn't going to—President Trump's not going to say anything.
No.
He said, I told you.
All hell would break loose.
I tried to say anything. No, he said, I told you, all hell would break loose. I tried to warn you. He's not going to, President Trump's not going to be grieved by the death of a lot of
innocent Palestinian people. So let's pray that whoever's running Hamas, I don't even know who's
running it. And that's part of the problem too. must have been knocked out and so maybe there's no maybe there's nobody in charge who are they negotiating with right
i don't know the answers to any of those questions they killed off all the leaders
who are they negotiating with yeah if they didn't uh blow them up they blew them up with pagers
so well we'll move on to the other topic in the Middle East.
New York Times.
Now, this is this morning.
A lot has happened since this article.
New York Times said Trump says he may cut off U.S. aid to Jordan and Egypt if they don't take the Gazans.
Well, it's a demand.
Hey, you're going to take two and a half million people in. And if you don't do it, we cut
off all the U.S. money to you.
It would hurt both countries, but I'll tell you, Jordan, it would devastate them.
Yes. And Jordan's been a pretty good ally
to the U.S.
That was this morning. Yes, President Trump said on Monday that he could cut aid to Jordan and Egypt if they refused his demand to take in Palestinians.
He said, and this is quoting the New York Times from yesterday.
This is yesterday's New York Times.
If they don't agree, I could conceivably withhold aid.
Of course, this was yesterday.
King Abdullah is in D.C. today.
What the response has been from some, it says, what Mr. Trump has done is put the future of the
kingdom of Jordan on the line. That's come from Khalil Jashan, the executive director of the Arab
Center in Washington, D.C. The strongest political movement in Jordan does not accept the idea that Jordan is Palestine.
Look, every leader of every small country is wondering, is Donald Trump going to annex us?
Every one of them should be asking that question.
What would stop Donald Trump from saying, you know, we're just going to take ownership of Jordan?
Right. What would King Abdullah do?
I mean, how's he going to stop
the United States from invading the tiny little country of Jordan?
Right. Jordan about the size of New Jersey or Florida, okay?
I mean, their military isn't going to be able to hold back. Every leader
is thinking this.
Yes, every single one of them now.
But they did have a cordial meeting today in the White House through CBS News.
Trump pushes Gaza plan in meeting with Jordan King Abdullah II.
And we've got a number of video clips.
This first is just, there's no audio.
This is just a scene of the two men meeting in the white house and they had a great relationship in uh president trump's first term and so they've
they've gotten along well i think president trump respects him treats him well of course we have u.s
personnel in jordan and so uh and most of the jordanians have been trained by the U.S.
And King Abdullah himself
is a military man.
Right.
He's very military oriented
and he likes
the U.S. military equipment.
Yes.
He likes the jets.
He likes the helicopters.
He likes, you know,
he likes the gadgets.
He likes everything he gets from the U.S likes the gadgets. He likes everything he gets
from the U.S. defense industry. Now, we have
closely followed King Abdullah over the past several years
ever since, was it the first or second
visit to World Economic Forum? First.
And so we've
always had a fascination with him. One aspect of
King Abdullah is he is a diplomat.
He is...
He's well-trained.
One of the...
I mean, he just exudes kindness and diplomacy
and seeking solutions.
He doesn't come in arrogantly or anything like that at all.
And I can tell you, Doc, when I got invited,
let's see, it was December of 2022.
Yes.
The king invited me to a royal dinner in Amman.
I went.
There were about, I would say, 500 people there at the dinner.
I didn't get an opportunity to personally meet him.
He was seated two tables away from me.
That was that close.
I will tell you this.
He walks like a king. He sits
at the dinner table like a king. He holds his
fork like a king. He eats his meal like a king.
I don't know who trained him.
But I know
his father, his father was a king
his grandfather was a king
so there was an etiquette to
he
acts like a king
if you had to paint a picture
what does a king look like
it would be King Abdullah
and you see that
that exudes from him in these videos
that we're about to share with you that he is King Abdullah.
He's got class.
Yes.
That's the best way to say it. He has class.
And a lot of these leaders that come and meet with President Trump, it's like it's an unequal conversation.
But when you see these videos, you see it's almost like an equal status.
They respect each other. So we're going to walk our way through this conversation. But when you see these videos, you see it's almost like an equal status.
They respect each other. So we're going to walk our way through this conversation, just parts of it.
We divided up the video to the main parts.
So this is President, this is King Abdullah thanking President Trump for the things that he has done in the past for the Middle East.
Let's watch this.
Mr. President, I truly believe that with all the challenges that we have in the Middle East,
that I finally see somebody that can take us across the finish line to bring stability,
peace and prosperity to all of us in the region.
And it is, I think, our collective responsibility in the Middle East to
continue to work with you, to support you, to achieve those lofty goals.
So I'm very delighted to be here.
And as you said, sir, we've got some very interesting discussions ahead.
Very good. Very good. Thank you very much.
Now, we're going to start to get into the meat of this discussion, which is President Trump wanted the king to agree to take, I don't know, half of the Palestinians.
He's talking about Jordan and Egypt.
There's 2 million Palestinians, 2.5 million.
If you split it up, there's 1 to 1.2 million each country is going to be taking.
That's a lot of people.
Assuming it's split between those two.
Jordan already has about 2 million Palestinians.
They go all the way back to the 1948 war.
Right.
You know, the West Bank used to be Jordanian.
East Jerusalem used to be Jordanian territory.
They've lost a lot already since 1967.
So the purpose of this meeting was Donald Trump wanted King Abdullah to agree to take in a large number of Palestinians from Gaza.
Doc, they're not even talking yet about the West Bank.
They're going to depopulate the West Bank.
Sure they are.
That's going to happen.
They're going to depopulate it.
There's no doubt in my mind.
They're going to remove all the Palestinians
from the West Bank. Israel is going to get everything. Yes, they're going to get it all.
OK, but here's the next video.
Mr. President, many people in the region, especially Jordan, are worried about the
annexation of the West Bank. Will you give the His Majesty the King guarantee that you won't
allow Israel to annex the West Bank? And how are you going't allow israel to annex the west bank and how are
you going to i think that's going to work out very well that's not really what we're talking about
today i think that's something that's going to work out automatically and it's in good shape and
we discuss it other people have discussed it with us and with me that's going to work out west bank
is going to work out very well mr president why should, why should the king take in the Palestinian people?
He's made clear he doesn't want to.
Well, I don't know, but he may have just something to say because we discussed just briefly.
I think maybe you want to say it now or.
Well, Mr. President, I think we have to keep in mind that there is a plan from Egypt and the Arab countries.
We're being invited by Mohammed bin Salman
to discussions in Riyadh.
I think the point is, is how do we make this work
in a way that is good for everybody?
Obviously, we have to look at the best interests
of the United States, of the people in the region,
especially to my people of Jordan.
And we're going to have some interesting discussions today.
I think one of the things that we can do right away
is take 2,000 children that are either cancer children
or in a very ill state to Jordan as quickly as possible,
and then wait for, I think, the Egyptians to present their plan
on how we can work with the president
to work on the Bokhara challenges.
The Press So your question is not with the United States.
The President Excuse me, wait.
Just please. I didn't know that what you just said,
2000 children with cancer or other problems. And that's really a beautiful gesture. That's
really good. And we appreciate it. And we'll be working on the rest.
I can assure you that was the queen. I'm just getting ready to say it.
Mrs. Abdullah, the queen, I guarantee you, she's the one.
She really cares about children.
Yes.
I saw it when I was in Jordan.
She has an orphanage.
Yes.
She has a children's fund.
She's deeply involved in children.
So I'm not surprised by that. But did you notice
King Abdullah
talking about
removing the Palestinians
from Gaza? He said,
we're going to have a meeting in Saudi
Arabia, in Riyadh
with other Middle Eastern
leaders. He said, we're going to
discuss how we can make
this work. He didn't say whether
we want to do it yeah no i caught that too he said we're going to discuss how we're going to
make this work which means in my mind jordan will take some palestinians they they are resigned to the reality that Donald Trump is going to depopulate Gaza and take it.
Right.
They don't have the will to fight. They don't have the will to resist.
And they've come to the conclusion all we can do is come up with a plan that satisfies Donald Trump.
Right.
But we're going to swallow this one yes now and you notice how diplomatic he was about it and everything i and i caught that too
that he was resigned to that but we're going to make it work yes but you're going to have to
work with me yes okay i've got my own political issues you know i've got my own political issues. You know, I've got my own, you know, he doesn't run for election for king. He's just a king.
But there are people that get upset in Jordan.
That's right. And you got to keep the tribes happy because really he's a king over tribes.
Right.
That's really what it comes down to. He's a king over tribes and he's got to keep all the tribes happy.
Right. over tribes and he's got to keep all the tribes happy right and um and so all the other leaders
saudi arabia and egypt um you know uae's therefore you know they all have their own political basis
that they have to deal with right so they're getting together and they're going to come up
with a plan i don't know if they're going to i I really don't think they're going to create a Palestinian state.
No.
I don't think so either.
That's over.
A Palestinian state died.
Yes.
It's over. It's dead.
There's going to be enclaves of Palestinians in various places.
That's right.
Palestinians are going to be assimilated into other countries.
Now, with that gesture toward taking the cancer children and everything,
getting those to Jordan, when saying that, he was also saying,
now Egypt, what do you say?
As if to say to Egypt, okay, now you've got to step up
and out-compassion us, if you will.
That's right.
And that's what the next clip is about.
He says, I want to hear the, the king said, you know, I want to hear the Egyptian plan.
So let's listen to the next video clip.
Okay, you're going to see some great progress.
I think with Jordan, you're going to see some great progress.
Three of us, and we'll have some others helping.
And we're going to have some others at a very high level helping.
And the whole thing will come.
It's not a complex thing to do. And with the United States being in control of that piece of land, a fairly large piece of land,
you can have stability in the Middle East for the first time.
And the Palestinians or the people that live now in Gaza will be living beautifully in another location.
They're going to be living safely. They're not going to be killed, murdered and having to leave every 10 years because
I've been watching this for so many years. It's nothing but trouble. Everyone's being
killed and being robbed. It's it's it's like living in hell and they're going to end up
having a great home, great families that don't have to get mugged and killed and beaten up and harassed by Hamas and everybody else.
And I know we'll be able to work something.
And what you just said about the 2000 is fantastic.
It's so beautiful.
It's music to my ears.
But we're going to be able to work something. And I know we'll be able to work something also with, I believe, not 100%, but 99%.
We're going to work out something with Egypt.
The thing I heard was the U.S. will be in control of the land.
That's the one sentence that stands out.
With the U.S. in control of the land, meaning Gaza.
He took it from Israel, but Israel did not legally own it.
Israel had illegally stolen it, but nobody, no country legally owned Gaza since World War I.
I just can't get over this, that basically Donald Trump filed a quick claim on a disputed deed.
That's exactly what he did, Doc.
I mean, he applied a real estate solution.
I'm not a fan of it.
But he did.
But you have to say that was out of the box.
He's taking control of a disputed piece of property.
And he's looking at it saying, there's no legal owner.
The United States could be just as legal as anybody else.
Well, we got the biggest army.
I guess we're the one that owns it now.
So that's how he's thinking.
He's looking at the coast saying, I could put hotels in there.
I could put condos.
There's natural gas out in the sea.
He's viewing it as a real estate development.
And the problem is there are two million people
living there in rubble.
Now, he doesn't want to blame
Israel for the rubble.
No.
But the fact of the matter is
even if he did blame Israel,
the rubble is still there.
It's still there.
And what are you going to do?
How are you ever going to rebuild it?
You have to get rid of the rubble.
And you can't get rid of the rubble
until the people are gone.
I don't like it, but his logic makes sense in a real estate world.
True.
But Netanyahu planned this.
Netanyahu's strategy was, I'll turn it into rubble.
The world will then agree with me that people have to go.
Yes. But Netanyahu thought he would have the land he never imagined trump would steal it from me i'm going to use the word still
that trump would move faster and take control of the land from him what bb's trying to do now is
try to figure out how to outmaneuver Donald Trump and get back in control.
But that's not going to work because Netanyahu is going to lose political power.
At the right time, Donald Trump is going to pull the rug out from under Bibi's feet and Bibi's career is going to collapse.
At the right time, he's going to say to israel i'm done
i'm not going to help you anymore unless you get rid of netanyahu
because he's gonna he's gonna want somebody in that prime ministership that isn't scheming and
plotting all the time right so that's that's coming up but that's in the future. Now, Mr. Trump did a long interview on Fox News, and we're going to go into some of these clips.
They recorded it, I think, like last Friday, and then they released it yesterday.
Right. They released a clip on Sunday before the Super Bowl.
That was more oriented towards the Super Bowl, but the meat of the interview was released last night.
Times of Israel, Trump says U.S. will own Gaza.
Mideast states can help rebuild.
U.S. may let some Gazans come back in.
May.
Right.
See this? U.S. will own Gaza. May. Right. See this? The U.S. will
own Gaza.
Yes. You're looking
at the times of Israel there, folks.
Doc, I never saw
this coming. Never in
a thousand years did I see this coming.
But I think before it's over,
Donald Trump will take all
of Israel.
Well, that's a bold statement there.
Oh, I know it is.
I think before it's over.
Would it shock you?
No.
He will take all of Israel.
Israel will become a U.S. state.
He's going to pull the rug out from under them.
He's going to say, you you know if we cut off the
money cut off the military support you collapse right here just what are we getting if we're
using the logic what are we getting out of this he's going to say what do we get out of this
you come over here and you steal our technology you steal our our military secrets you use our
troops to fight your battles i mean i heard him in this interview i don't know
if it's in the clips that we had but i heard him in the interview on fox news where he said you
know there's a lot of countries that want to use our military for their purposes well who else is
doing that except israel yes so he is thinking this way i know everybody is thinking that Netanyahu is pulling Trump's
puppet strings. No, he's not. Well, I mean,
we supply weapons and everything to Jordan.
We supply weapons to Egypt. We supply weapons to
Saudi Arabia and we supply weapons to Israel. We supply weapons to
all of them in there. And they're keeping
the balance of power. Right.
Nobody is
bigger than the other one.
Although Israel's got nukes.
And then suddenly, Donald Trump
walks in the room.
He says, I like that. I'm going to take that.
Now, you don't have a deed to that
property. I'm going to take it. Now, these
two clips associated with that, Rick, that's a continuation of that sit-down with –
Oh, the next two are still with –
With King Abdullah.
Okay.
He does talk about the ownership of Gaza and the future of the Palestinians.
Okay.
Let's get the most recent conversation Donald Trump had, and that was with the sit-down with King Abdullah about how the U.S. will own
Gaza. How is the U.S. going to own Gaza? Your White House has made clear taxpayer dollars
won't be used for this. So what money are you going to use to buy Gaza?
We're not going to buy anything. We're going to have it and we're going to keep it and we're
going to make sure that there's going to be peace and there's not going to be any problem and nobody's going to question it.
And we're going to run it very properly and eventually we'll have economic development
at a very large scale, maybe the largest scale on that site.
And we'll have lots of good things built there, including hotels and office buildings and
housing and other things.
And we'll make that site into what it should be.
And the people from Gaza who wouldn't be able to be there for years
because you're talking about just to get it and prepare it
and to take care of all of the problems that currently it has, as you know.
Tunnels and people are in those tunnels.
And you have some good people and some bad people.
And you may have hostages right now.
You know, you have the hostages possibly there.
They don't know where they are.
And, you know, I have a Saturday deadline.
And I don't think they're going to make the deadline personally.
I think they want to play tough guy.
But we'll see how tough they are.
But it's going to be a wonderful thing.
It's going to be wonderful for the Middle East.
I think it'll turn the Middle East.
I think you're going to have peace in the Middle East.
We're not going to pay for it.
We're going to have it.
We're going to own it.
See, Donald Trump's already done his title search.
Why would you pay for something when there's no owner?
Who would you pay?
Right. You're going to pay Israel? They don't own it they don't own it are you gonna pay hamas they don't own it turkey doesn't own it it's
disputed territory it's not even disputed it's just out there it's a no man's land really just with no title on it. The title expired what, 19...
1923.
With the treaty
after World War I. The Ottoman
Empire dissolved and gave up control
of Gaza and nobody was given
ownership of Gaza. It's just been out there floating.
Great Britain had control of it for years, but they didn't own it.
Right.
They had a mandate.
They had the British-Palestine mandate, but they didn't own it.
They just had their military there controlling it.
Donald Trump had his lawyers do a title search.
And they came back and they said, hey boss,
guess what? This lands up for grabs. And that's why he's
saying, we're not going to pay for it. We're just going to have it.
We're going to own it. And he's going to take ownership and nobody's going to
say anything about it. Then he's asked about
where the Palestinians are going to live.
President, you were saying that Palestinians will live somewhere else safe.
Where exactly do you want them to live? Well, it's not where I want them to live. It's going
to be where we ultimately choose as a group. And I believe we'll have a parcel of land in Jordan. I believe we'll have
a parcel of land in Egypt. We may have someplace else. But I think when we finish our talks,
we'll have a place where they're going to live very happily and very safely. And, you know,
don't forget, they only want to be on the Gaza Strip because they don't know anything else.
They've never had an alternative. And they don't want to be on the Gaza Strip because they don't know anything else. They never had an alternative.
And they don't want to be on the Gaza Strip, but they have no choice. They have to be. And they're being killed there at levels that nobody's ever seen. No place in the world is like
as dangerous as the Gaza Strip. They don't want to be there. They have no alternative.
When they have an alternative, not one person will want to stay where they are.
Nobody wants to stay there. They're living in hell. It's a death trap. Mr. President, how do you know that the Palestinians don't want to
leave their land? Some people say this is ethnic cleansing. You won't be able to force them to
leave their land. We're moving into a beautiful location where they have new homes, where they
can live safely, where they'll have doctors and medical and all of those things.
And I think it's going to be great.
Yeah, any questions?
Doc, I've seen some videos in recent days of Palestinians in Gaza being asked,
are you willing to leave?
At least the videos I saw,
everybody said yes. It was like their spirit was broken. Like, it's over.
It was like, it's over.
I heard people saying, I just
want to live in peace.
I don't want any more of this.
I just want to go someplace where I can be a human and have a family.
I think this war broke their spirit.
There's nothing left.
It's sort of like after Dresden in World War II in Germany.
It was like, you know.
There's nothing left.
And that was an atrocious event that the Allies did to Dresden.
But history forgets that part of it.
And they only remember, you know, we're going to rebuild Germany.
We're going to help these people after the war.
But what happened to the Germans who were there that survived it?
They were relocated.
That's right.
Because they can't stay in rubble.
A lot of people,
millions of people were relocated during
and after World War II. Probably
more after World War II than during the war.
War forces people to relocate. Yes. But I think the
Palestinians, especially the younger people,
they've seen their children blown up. They've seen their parents
burned up. They don't want any more of it. They're looking around
at the rubble. Am I angry at what Israel did to them? Yes.
I'm furious. It's the most outrageous
thing I've seen in my lifetime. But what am I going to do?
Right. At this point, you have to just put it in God's hands and let God
meet out whatever justice he sees.
And Doc, I think through Donald Trump, he just punished Netanyahu and the Israeli Jews.
We might be at the beginning of the punishment.
He took Gaza from them.
I think God's using Donald Trump to punish them because they were licking their chops.
We're going to kill all the Palestinians,
we're going to take that land.
And now somebody stronger has come in and said,
no, I'm taking it.
And they don't know what to do.
And they dare not go up against him.
So we got one more.
Yeah, and this is from the interview with Brett Baer.
Okay, now we're into the Brett Baer Fox News interview.
Let's watch.
Yes.
We'll build beautiful communities for the 1.9 million people.
We'll build beautiful communities, safe communities.
Could be five, six, could be two.
But we'll build safe communities a little bit away from where they are, where all of this danger is.
In the meantime, I would own this.
Think of it as a real estate development for the future.
It would be a beautiful piece of land.
Would the Palestinians have the right to return?
No, they wouldn't because they're going to have much better housing, much better.
In other words, I'm talking about building a permanent place for them
because if they have to return now, it'll be years before you could ever.
It's not habitable. It will be years before it could happen.
I'm talking about starting to build. And I think I could make a deal with Jordan.
I think I could make a deal with Egypt. You know, we give them billions and billions of dollars a year.
There you go. Yep. They're not coming back because he has plans for that land.
And really, if you divide up the Palestinians, and once again, I'm not endorsing this idea.
I'm just saying if you break them up into two places or five or six places.
You've divided their power.
They're never going to regather and become a people again.
Yes.
Okay.
They're going to be assimilated into other countries.
My guess is the part,
because he said there will be a part of Jordan.
There'll be a part of Saudi Arabia,
a part of,
I think he said Saudi Arabia,
but a part of Egypt that will take in the Palestinians.
My guess is Aqaba
in southern Jordan at the Red Sea.
You can see Egypt and Israel
on the other side of the Red Sea.
You can look right across the sea and see the two other countries.
I think when we were there, I think you – did you see it or was I there on my sofa?
I don't recall, Doc.
What do you mean?
All the buildings?
The construction.
Oh, I was with you.
Yeah.
Okay.
Because I was there.
Because we were – remember, we were driving around thinking, what is all this housing out here? I went four times to Jordan in that one year, so I lost track of who was with me on each trip.
But unbelievable, massive construction underway.
Land moving.
Well, sand moving.
I mean, we call it here land moving, but it's sand moving.
Bulldozers moving giant sand dunes for miles and miles and miles. I don't know.
It could have been thousands of homes that were built.
I've never seen a construction project that big in my life.
And we were wondering, who's moving into all this?
Who is moving into these places?
I would say now it's probably the
Palestinians.
And
just on the other side, when you
cross the border in Saudi Arabia, you have
the futuristic city of
Neom.
The line. And that's
a few miles away. And they need workers. Yes.
Speaking of workers, if you are a construction company
owner and you're into building,
you might want to talk to the
U.S. State Department about getting a contract to build houses
in Jordan and Egypt.
Doc, there's going to be work for years.
Yes.
And years and years.
I mean, I don't know how to build anything, but I can see.
Like, I'll go buy a building company.
Just I can see.
I can see that.
I can see the potential there.
There's going to be work there for years for the next 10 years.
They're going to be building houses.
You're never going to run out of work.
You got to think about it.
It could be the opportunity you're looking for.
The next one president trump posted this video on his social media account on uh true social yes
but it's a it's a video of vladimir putin talking about donald trump yes
isn't this interesting on this last week yes we talked it, but we didn't see the video. Right. Here's the video.
Has something changed since Biden's time? Nothing has changed.
They were happy to carry out any order from Washington under Biden.
They just don't like Trump.
They fought him actively, really interfered in political life in the election process in the United States, and then they were confused when Trump suddenly won.
And then they mentally liked Biden more, you know, mentally.
But Donald Trump has different ideas about what is good and what is bad, including gender policy and some other issues.
By assuring you, Donald Trump, with his character,
persistence, he will restore order pretty
quickly.
And all of them, you'll see,
it will happen quickly. Soon all of them will
stand at the master's feet and gently
wag their tails.
And he's referring
to the European leaders in that. Yes. That's who he
is saying, all these guys in Europe, they're going to stand up
and wag their tails. Oh, Mr. Trump, Mr. Trump.
So, Vladimir Putin is telling that podcaster,
we know who we're dealing with. The master.
He's the master. Right. And we're dealing with. The master. He's the master.
Right.
And we're not bothered about Europe.
We don't care what Macron says.
We don't care what Schultz says.
We don't care.
That's right.
They're going to bow and wag their tails like little puppies.
That's right.
They're going to fall in line.
He said he's going to establish order. Because the fact of the matter is every European nation is dependent on the U.S.
That's the fact of the matter.
Every single one. This president is not
embarrassed to say it. Everybody else has been
coy about it. Well, we don't want to come out and just say it. He does.
And then he says, well, what are we getting out of this?
You need to put something on the table. Right.
He's building America bigger and stronger. The fact that he retweeted
this video, or re-truthed it, I guess, on
Truth Social, I think is sending a message saying
I'm dealing with, you know, it's going to be me and Putin that's going to
solve this deal. And he, I don't know if we have the article, but he
said here today, or maybe it was in the
Fox, I've lost track, I know he's also on Air Force
One, he said he'd been talking to Putin. Oh, that's the next,
that's the London Times there. Donald Trump calls Putin
and says he's making progress in peace deal push.
And he wouldn't say how many times he's talked to him.
So this is direct communication between the two men.
And Peskov did not confirm how many times they have talked, but did confirm
that they had been speaking to one another.
And then the next one, this is Newsweek.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hagseth said, we are not sending U.S. troops into Ukraine.
Well.
So he made it very clear that they are not sending American troops at the part of the peace deal.
I would say, Doc, doesn't have peacekeepers in it.
At least from the U.S.?
At least from the United States.
I'm telling you, if they have peacekeepers from Europe,
they're not going to be there very long either.
No, so there's no way Putin's going to accept it.
Look, those two men are talking about rare earth minerals.
Right.
They're talking about money.
Trillions of dollars.
They're talking real estate.
It's a real estate deal.
Zelensky's a nobody.
Yes. He's just sitting on the property. He's a real estate deal. Zelensky's a nobody. Yes.
He's just sitting on the property.
He's a squatter.
He's a Ukrainian squatter right now.
And Trump's mind, President Trump's mind, Mark Rutte, the head of NATO, he's a hireling.
Yeah.
He's like the HOA president.
Right.
We pay you a salary.
They elected him, but he has no power.
Yeah.
Donald Trump's saying, hey, we pay his salary.
He'll do what we tell him to do.
It's not the other way around.
And there are some indications now that there is some cracks in the wall regarding diplomacy between the United States and Russia.
Something happened today.
Yes. So Newsweek reporting Kremlin responds as Trump linked private jet lands in Moscow.
There's no point in talking about this right now because when this came out this morning,
we didn't know what it was about.
Right.
We thought at first maybe Witkoff was going to go to the Kremlin or something like that,
but Peskov tamped that down real quick.
But we found out later, this is CBS news,
Mark Fogle, American detained in Russia,
freed after visit by Trump envoy.
Yes.
And the envoy was Steve Witkoff.
And was Michael Waltz on that trip also?
I'm not sure.
And so White House National Security Advisor Michael Waltz said that Steve Witkoff, President Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, was leaving Russian airspace with Fogel.
So obviously Waltz wasn't.
Right.
So now the White House issued a statement regarding this.
Who is Mark Fogle. Well, he's a history teacher from Pennsylvania
and had been arrested back in 2021 at the Russian airport.
He was found with marijuana.
17 grams of marijuana.
They imprisoned him.
Yes.
But Steve Witkoff went there on a private plane
and brought Mark Fogle back to the U.S.
Now, I believe the private jet is owned by the Trump organization.
I think so.
So you were saying something?
Right.
No, I'm just saying that.
Now, this shows that there's the conversations that are going on.
You've got to know, hey, Donald Trump probably said, can you show me some good faith here?
But Donald Trump's going to show some good faith.
We're going to release a Russian.
Right.
We're going to do something.
This is going to go back and forth.
Right.
To do what?
To build trust between each other.
Right.
Say, okay, I'm going to do this good deed to show you that I'm serious about this deal that we're making.
And so little by little, they're going to be building up their trust with each other.
Newsweek, Ukraine may be Russian someday. I heard Mr. Trump say it.
Yes. But the way he said it is different than the way Newsweek phrases the
headline, because this is implying that he's he's saying, I don't know, they could own it.
OK, I think we've got the video. Let's watch it. Ukraine, though, you think you can get a deal. Do
you keep sending American weapons until you do no what i'm
saying is the following they have tremendously valuable land in terms of rare earth in terms of
oil and gas in terms of other things i want to have our money secured because we're spending
hundreds of billions of dollars and you know they may make a deal they may not make a deal they may
be russian someday or they may not be Russian someday.
But we're going to have all this money in there. And I say I want it back.
And I told them that I want the equivalent, like five hundred billion dollars worth of rare earth.
And they've essentially agreed to do that. So at least we don't feel stupid.
Otherwise, we're stupid. I said to to them we have to we have to get something
we can't continue to pay this money what what the real estate developer did is that he's putting a
half trillion dollar lien yes on the assets owned by ukraine he's putting a lien on them yes yeah you we provided the weapons we're going
to get ammo we're going to get 500 500 billion back he said we probably spent 300 billion but
the lien's going to be 500 billion charges right we've got to make some money on this deal we can't just get our capital back
there's got to be some some profit so he's placing you see if if you see donald trump as a real estate
developer yes then his actions make sense his actions make sense he put a lien on ukraine i don't know why you don't see any other newscasters
podcasters understanding this man maybe because no newscaster has ever been bought land right
bought a house and so so you start thinking in these terms you know you like him or love him
donald trump he thinks in these business terms so So when he said Russia, I mean, Ukraine could be Russian someday, may not.
What he was saying was, it would be like a banker saying, you know, if we give you this loan, we don't know who is actually going to own your house 10 years from now.
Right.
We have to have a lien on this property.
Right.
Because your neighbor might be in control of your house.
Yes.
So we're going to protect ourselves.
We're going to have a lien.
He didn't say, hey, we're going to give it to Russia because that's the way a lot of
people are interpreting it.
We might just give it to Russia.
What he was saying is they may take it someday.
But you know what?
We're going to have a lien and I'll guarantee you, Doc,
Vladimir Putin
is going to sign that lien.
I believe he will.
There'll actually be a second lien
because Putin will
have a lien on Ukraine also.
And they'll recognize each other's liens
and so nothing's going to happen without one side or the other getting their half trillion dollars
right because look if every if every leader starts thinking like him do you know how the world is going to change?
Well, that's the advantage that Donald Trump has.
Nobody else thinks those.
Nobody's thinking in his terms.
And once one or two of these guys start – the light bulbs start going on in their head, hey, wait a minute.
We're in a whole different ballgame now.
Everybody else – Trump's playing football.
Everybody else is playing cricket.
It's a whole new ballgame now.
If you want to do business with Donald Trump, talk real estate.
I mean, I guarantee you, Elon Musk is talking to him about Mars.
Yes.
We can own Mars.
Yes.
Just think about that, Mr. could own mars the biggest real estate deal in the solar system
well let's see the next one blaze yes
ukrainian military selling up to half of u.s arms arms it receives with the CIA profiting off of it,
according to Tucker Carlson.
Really bold statement.
Almost no media coverage at all.
Right.
And this was in a conversation that Tucker Carlson had with Colonel Daniel Davis,
who is an expert on these events related to Ukraine.
And in this clip we're going to share with you,
Tucker Carlson says up to 50%,
up to 50% of the U.S. weapons sent to Ukraine
have ended up everywhere,
including in the hands of Mexican cartels
just across the border.
So let's watch this.
Second fact, fact, not guess, fact, is
Ukrainian military is selling a huge
percentage, up to half of the arms that we
send them. Half.
And I'm not guessing about this. I know that for a fact.
A fact, okay? Not speculation.
And they're selling
it, and a lot of it's winding up with the drug cartels
on our border. So this
is a
crime, what's happening. Our intel agencies are fully aware of
this. You tell me they're not profiting from this. Of course, you think the CIA is not profiting from
this? Yes, they are. I can't prove that, but I believe that. What, they don't know this? I know
this, but they don't know this? They know this. And no one is saying it. Like, no American seems
aware of this. We're sending these arms to Ukraine, billions of billions, hundreds of billions of
dollars, and it's being stolen and sold to our actual enemies.
Like, what the?
I'm trying not to swear.
What is this?
Yeah, well, the reason why is because you have Zelensky.
It was about three weeks ago, I think, was specifically asked this question.
So he went at some length in one of his interviews to say, oh, no, absolutely not.
There's no truth to that at all.
We've implemented all this thing.
I know that.
But the media just reported what he said.
The New York Times could get on the web and order Ukrainian weapons. That's a fact. I'm not guessing. It's a fact. They could do that today.
So Tucker Carlson is very emphatic about this, which means he got that information from a very high reliable source, possibly Donald Trump.
Yes.
Or Pete Hegseth.
Or on his visit to Russia.
Possibly the Russians gave him information about it, whether it's the selling of U.S. weapons to Ukraine or U.S. AID, the corruption, the level of corruption is mind-boggling.
And there's a sudden halt to the gravy train. There are going to be a lot of people, Doug, that are in serious financial trouble because they've been relying on this money for so long.
Yes.
They never even considered it would ever stop.
I mean, you're going to see changes in leadership and corporations in nations, in countries because of this.
You're going to see news reporters go out of business, news organizations shut down
because the money stopped.
That you least expected.
Yes.
NGOs, NGOs that are going to,
you're going to have NGOs that are going to announce,
our mission is accomplished.
There's no point in continuing.
We've accomplished our mission.
Yes.
You know, they'll just fade away.
Now, in that same interview that he had with Colonel Davis of Deep Dive, they ended up having a fascinating conversation on how the nature, how the Ukraine war and the Gaza war have changed the nature of war.
And you may be saying, well, what does that mean? Well, the new technology,
especially drone technology, has really changed the game in a big, big way. And it's causing
them to, you know, military leaders around the world to recalculate,
do we want to build a battleship or do we want to build a lot of drones? I mean, it's a great question to ask.
Why should we spend close to a trillion dollars to build a single aircraft carrier?
When a drone can take it out.
Right.
And so they have a discussion about this.
It is a fascinating discussion.
And I would encourage you to pay very close attention here because when we talk about Rick's new book, Mega War 2032,
this relates directly to it.
Yes. This is part of
that. This new warfare that we're about to enter into.
Ladies and gentlemen, warfare has radically changed.
This is Tucker Carlson talking with, let's see, Colonel Daniel Davis.
Yes.
He has a podcast called Deep Dive.
Yes.
The Ukrainians took out a bunch of Russian bombers, long-range bombers, on an airfield with drones early in the war.
And I thought to myself, wow, you know,
this war, which I don't know, are we studying this like carefully? I mean, I guess we're running it,
but are we taking its lessons? Shows that, you know, drone technology has got to change our
calculations about where we spend our money, right? So how many aircraft carriers do you need
in a world with drones? I don't know the answer to these questions, but is anyone smart thinking about this? Well, I think about it a lot. And in fact,
I saw whatever we're building two new aircraft carriers right now, and they're already naming
them what they're going to be. And I'm like, did y'all not watch what happened to the Black Sea
fleet, the Russian Black Sea fleet because of naval drones? I mean, dude, they were sent to
the bottom of the ocean. We would get hammered if we had to fight. That's World War II level.
We're not at World War II anymore.
And look, to your point there.
They're already named.
One's called the George Bush, I think.
Yeah, yeah.
And Clinton.
Bill Clinton is the other one.
I'm not making that up.
That's what's being reported.
Bill Clinton, the draft dodger as an aircraft carrier.
Unbelievable.
We've reached like peak parity.
But why are we building aircraft?
I mean, look, you're the retired colonel, but it does seem like we should pause and ask, like, what, you know, what are we learning from what's happening in Ukraine?
Yeah, well, that's what I was going to say. I was a little surprised 2020 where all of this stuff was put on full display for the first time in large scale.
The Armenian armor was hammered from the Azerbaijanis because they used the long range drones.
They had missiles.
They had drones.
And then they were able to bring them in and vector in other targets.
So it's not that Doug McGregor wrote about 1997.
They employed for the first time.
And I thought when I saw that, okay, this has now changed warfare.
No one's going to fight the old one anymore because you see how powerful drones are.
And the Russians didn't.
Well, here's the problem.
We still haven't.
And now that not just the 2020, and it was a really short conflict, we've had now three years.
And we're tinkering around the edges with stuff.
There have been some changes.
But it's like about this much when you need this much.
If we had to fight Russia today, even everything we've observed for the last three years, we are not up to the standard.
We are way behind the ball and we would die in, I think, large numbers.
So, I mean, this is like what we're watching does seem to have like lots of precedent in history, but the most obvious is the British army that spends the entire 19th century
fighting all these colonial wars
against the Pashtuns and the mutant,
you know, the mutinous forces in India
and, you know, the Zulus.
And they win most of those engagements.
And then they have this peer-to-peer war
in the First World War,
and it commences with like British cavalry charges into machine gun fire.
And, you know, it destroyed Britain.
It's never been a great power, really, since then.
It's pretended to be, but it's not.
It's wrecked the country forever
and destroyed the British Empire, that war,
First World War.
And everyone makes fun of them for that.
Like, you didn't keep track of what real war was
as you were, like,
killing all the villagers around the world.
And let me tell you,
25 years later,
it was the French army's turn.
They were the preeminent power
on the European continent.
And then they were destroyed
in a month.
Oh, I know.
When the Germans came in
using modern technology,
modern tactics
and new doctrine
that they were,
and everyone knew,
the Germans knew
that they were better,
but they had to go fight anyway.
But because they were still in the not in World War I mentality,
that's what happened to them.
So you have, yeah, British from World War I,
French from World War II.
Are we going to be the next in line?
Well, I mean, because it is, the parallels are pretty obvious.
I mean, you know, whatever,
you don't want to be mean or anything,
but the truth is fighting, you know,
third world nations is different from fighting, you know, truth is fighting, you know, third world nations is different from
fighting, you know, technologically advanced, you know, nations that have satellite stations and
stuff. And so, yeah, I'm really worried. Did you think... Because Russia's talked openly about if
they get into conflict with us, our satellites are the first thing coming down. They've said that
recently, I'm talking about. And I'm telling you, we don't even know how to fight without all of our connectivity.
And the Russians do because they've learned how to.
You need to hear that.
Yes.
That's what I wanted you to hear.
The satellites are coming down.
That's our vulnerability right there.
And not just military satellites.
That's your communication.
That's everything in our society.
You can't even pump gas without a satellite
connection. How do you think the pump is reading your
credit card? And really, you can't even watch this podcast
without satellite technology because
we're about ready to shift all of our internet to the sky.
Yes.
We're getting rid of landlines.
We're getting rid of all that with, you know,
all the Starlink advancements and everything.
We saw the announcement from T-Mobile.
Yes.
T-Mobile is offering free satellite coverage for your phone for a month to try
out the new Starlink satellite service. This is all the stuff that
we heard.
2017, we heard these things in Barcelona at Mobile
World. We're going to be there in two weeks. But this is stuff that we heard back
in 2017. Your phone is going to there in two weeks but this is stuff that we heard back in 2017 your your phone
is going to be connected you're going to have a global phone that's what they were telling us
you'll have a global phone you will you will have connectivity any place in the world and you'll be
able to call any place in the world so yes we are the most technologically advanced nation, but we're also the most vulnerable, too, in that aspect.
That's right.
Well, Doc, as you know, I've got enough here.
I could do another hour, but I have a meeting I need to attend.
Lee, I want to jump down just to close.
There's two videos I want to show, number 59 and number 60.
So 59, this is Connecticut Democrat Congressman
John Larson.
I don't know if the man was having a stroke
or whether he was having a Mitch McConnell moment.
It might be one and the same.
What is going on with these people
that just freeze?
I've never seen.
I've never.
Have you ever seen?
Have you in all your life?
No.
Have you a relative, friend, co-worker?
Somebody just go.
Nope.
But in Washington, they do it.
And news media people do it.
Yes.
Al Roker did it.
I was thinking of a long list of people in television.
I forgot about Al Roker. Yeah. was thinking of a long list of people on television remember when he was on today's show oh here it is here's the congressman
don't worry no one on the Republican
side in the House and Senate
who control both the House
and Senate is going
to speak up and challenge us. But we need to protect Americans their retirement and their retirement savings.
And for 28 million Americans,
Social Security is the only thing that they have, and that's why we have to make sure
that we are protecting it as well. Well, the gentleman's time has expired.
No kidding.
The gentleman's time has expired.
More disturbing watching it happen or watching
the lack of response from anyone else.
They're all just sitting there.
Is the man having a stroke?
Maybe you should go out there, see if he's
okay. Is there
a medical doctor in the house?
Anybody there
think about calling the house physician?
We have a member of the
house having a stroke right now
did he have a stroke or did his or was it a glitch well speaking of glitch here's mitch
okay here's the latest with mitch mcconnell yeah he showed up uh for uh senate vote recently
pulled up in a wheelchair and uh he also had a boot on one of his feet.
And so I hadn't heard anything about any injuries or anything that he was experiencing.
But he just won't go back to Kentucky.
He won't go.
He's going to stay there until the pallbearers carry him out in a casket.
These guys won't give up power.
No matter how difficult it is, you have to be helped out of a wheelchair into a van.
He's determined he's going to stay there because he's got power.
I'm not gleeful about him being in that condition.
But Rick, if I start showing up like that, please tell me to stay home.
Please.
I will.
But I'll be 10 years older than you, Doc.
Now, it's sad.
It's sad.
I don't like seeing it.
It's sad.
You have to know when it's time to exit.
Yes.
Okay?
Do it gracefully.
And do it before. Do it on your terms do it on your terms don't do it like mitch mcconnell or or somebody like that it's it's just sad you just
need to know he should have left 10 years ago he could have been home in kentucky
with i don't know does he have grandkids? He ought to be with his great-great-kids, enjoying life, walking in his farm field, whatever.
But these guys don't give up power.
But I'm going to give up my time because I have to be in a meeting right now.
Thank you so much.

Good morning. Welcome to Morning Manna. We're so glad to have you with us today.
We are gathered here, brothers and sisters from around the world, to study the Word of God for one hour.
And we are delighted that you have joined this class.
We hope you come back every day.
This year, 2025, we're beginning the year with the study of Romans.
We finished up Matthew in 2024.
We spent the entire year in the book of Matthew.
And now we're looking at the book of Romans.
We're in the fourth chapter.
And we studied verses one through four yesterday,
but I'm going to pick up at four again today
because it really is part of verse five.
So we'll look at verses four through nine.
Let's pray.
Most wonderful Heavenly Father,
we worship you as the creator of the universe.
You are the creator, and we worship you, Father.
Father, we humbly ask for the presence of your Holy Spirit to illuminate our hearts and minds
to understand your word
to see the greatness of your son Jesus
his magnificence
and to make us mighty warriors
to expand his kingdom on earth
in Jesus name
Amen
Amen
and as Rick mentioned
we are in Romans chapter 4,
and we're going to pick up that verse 4 here,
give you an opportunity to turn there real quick.
We'll be reading verses 4 through 9 today.
We appreciate you so much being here.
Nearly 300 people online already.
We'll be close to 400 as we get further into our lesson today.
And I always encourage you, if you're listening to us on a replay,
if you can, to join us live, 8 a.m. weekday mornings on faithandvalues.com.
And you'll get a blessing for being with us live.
And I know schedules can prohibit that for some,
but if you can, it is really a blessing to be together with 400 people plus
sometimes studying the Word of God together. There's something about studying the Word of God
together that magnifies the power of it. And so beginning at verse 4, chapter 4,
Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly,
his faith is counted for righteousness.
Even as David also described the blessedness of the man unto whom God imputeth righteousness without work, saying,
Blessed are they whose iniquities are
forgiven and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only or upon the uncircumcision also for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness
God bless the reading of his word today amen so as doc said there's a 350 400
people in live real time when we meet at 8 but throughout the day, when we stream this again in the afternoon, and it's streamed
on various social media platforms, and then it's also video on demand on faithandvalues.com,
the numbers get up into the thousands of people who watch Morning Man of five days a week.
You know, some days it's hitting 5,000 to 6,000 people.
On an average, 3,000 to 4,000.
And we are delighted, absolutely delighted.
I don't know of any mega church in the world that has a Bible class five days a week with three to 5,000 people in
attendance every single weekday. It is a blessing. We are humbled, and it motivates me
to keep going. I've never enjoyed anything so much as I have with Morning Manna. I've been in
this ministry for 25 actually 26 years 25 with broadcasting and podcasting but
I have not enjoyed anything as much as I have Morning Manna since we started
Morning Manna several years ago. So we talked about Romans 4 yesterday.
I'm not going to go into detail.
I'm just going to recap.
This is now to him who works.
The reward is not counted as grace, but as debt.
So when righteousness is achieved through works the resulting reward is owed as a legal
obligation yes it's not a gracious gift the relationship between the sinner and God becomes transactional. It's kind of akin to earning wages rather than receiving a gift.
So debt implies entitlement, obligation.
Grace is free.
It's unearned.
And these two concepts are mutually exclusive.
One cannot simultaneously earn righteousness and receive it as a free gift.
You have to choose which one you're going with.
Grace is the good choice.
Yes, right. Grace
emphasizes God's
sovereignty in your
salvation.
Because it's His initiative
to save you
rather than your effort
to be saved.
Your entire
salvation came
from God.
Everything.
He started by sending his son.
The whole process of the crucifixion, the resurrection,
all of this was initiated by God.
That happened over 2,000 years ago but he saw you in the future that's
right he saw you thousands of years into the future after the resurrection he
made a path and made a way for you and me to be saved. None of us went looking for God. He came looking for us.
The Holy Spirit pursued us. He used every one of us has a different story.
Nobody has the same story. Everybody has their own unique story of how God found you
and saved your soul. But the Father was in charge the whole time.
We weren't trying to be saved.
We weren't trying to be righteous.
It was the farthest thing from my mind.
I didn't even know I was a sinner.
I enjoyed sinning.
Why would I give it up?
Right. I mean, what was the would I give it up? Right.
I mean, what was the motivation to give it up?
I liked it.
I didn't give it up until I realized that I was lost and I was damned to hell
if I didn't repent and accept Jesus Christ.
That's when I gave it up.
Right.
You know, suddenly I had...
And besides that, you didn't have the ability to give it up.
You didn't have the desire.
No.
Nor did you have the ability to give it up either,
even if you wanted to give it up.
Every step of the way.
That's right. Every
step of the way of God leading me to the day I got saved, June 11, 1978. Everything that happened,
God initiated it. I didn't do anything. And it's the same for you. We don't earn salvation.
It's a divine gift.
And if it's a gift, it's freely bestowed.
There's no such thing as a gift that's not free.
You can't have a gift with strings attached.
So justification by grace depends entirely on God's will on his authority not our works
and so that ensures that righteousness remains God's gift it's not our achievement. We can't boast.
We remain humble sinners.
Blessed are the poor.
Not financially poor, spiritually poor.
Jesus' Sermon on the Mount said,
when you realize that you're bankrupt.
Amen.
See, that day has not come yet to Warren Buffett or Bill Gates
or a host of other billionaires.
That day has not come to them.
Elon Musk.
They have billions of dollars.
They don't realize they are bankrupt.
They can't buy salvation.
When they realize they are spiritually poor,
and they are like every other person on earth,
then they will cry out to God
to be merciful to them.
So Jesus said,
blessed is the poor.
Meaning, not again,
not the poor financially,
but the poor in spirit.
When you recognize
you're not capable of saving your soul,
then you're blessed.
You're happy.
Blessed means happy.
He said, blessed are those who mourn.
Does he mean he just wants you to lay around the house and moan and groan and mourn?
No, that's not what it means. It means
when you meditate
on your spiritual bankruptcy,
you mourn for your deplorable
state of affairs.
But you're happy.
How could you be happy?
Because you're going to,
you're going to receive
the kingdom of God
because you have humbled yourself to realize you can't save yourself,
but God has offered salvation to you through faith in his son.
And that it's grace.
It's a gift.
That's what makes you happy.
Does this make the Sermon on the Mount different? He's trying to make you happy this is make the sermon on the mount different he's trying to make you
happy quit fighting it and and the way to happiness is to become sad over your
deplorable state I can't that make sense it? But if you start meditating on how spiritually destitute you are,
once you know that your salvation is totally dependent on God's grace,
then you're happy.
I don't have to do anything.
It was all done. Yes. All I have to do anything it was all done yes all i have to do is believe that's it yes
repent and believe confess with their mouth that jesus christ is lord be baptized
keep the commandments love the Lord with all your heart
mind, soul and strength
so faith depends on God's promises
not personal merit
not adherence to religious law
religious rituals
regulations, rules, whatever.
It's a simple condition for receiving righteousness.
It's trust, not effort.
We pointed out yesterday, Abraham was justified before God instituted circumcision.
Abraham was never a Jew, and yet the Jews recognize him as the father of their faith.
Abraham's story is a model to us because it illustrates the principle that righteousness is a gift of grace, not a result of works.
So as believers, we are encouraged to rest in God's grace, to follow Abraham's example of trusting in God's promises.
So the principle of justification by faith offers us assurance and inspiration for a
life lived in reliance on God's grace.
Now, let's get to verse 5 but to him that worketh not
but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly
his faith is counted for righteousness
modern English
but to him who doesn't work
but believes in him who justifies the ungodly
his faith is accounted as righteousness.
Paul continues with this theme
that work cannot earn justification
but only belief and trust in God's promise.
Faith is credited as righteousness
without the need for human work yes
every religion in the world requires work yes that's why they call it religion
we don't we're not a member of the christian. That's right. Religion is man's attempt to reach God through behavior, through sacrifice, through something.
And so when Paul makes the comparison here between verse 4 and 5, he says,
if you want to work for it, the only thing you're going to get out of it is just more debt.
You're going to go deeper in the hole. But if you receive it by grace, by faith, then it's counted as righteousness.
Anytime work gets involved, it puts you further in debt. I know that kind of goes against
our natural way of thinking.
But Paul makes this very clear that the harder you work at trying to, you know, work your way toward God, the deeper in the hole you get.
So imagine you have this loan from the bank.
You're in debt.
You're in serious debt the bank owns you I mean they own everything you've got
your leverage your mortgage to the hilt they could take anything and everything you own and
you work and work and work and work to pay off that debt.
And every month you get your statement, and you're deeper in debt.
Yes.
That's what Paul's teaching here.
It goes backwards.
Why?
Because the more you know about the law,
the more you try to fulfill the law,
the more accountable you are to the law,
and therefore,
the more God holds you responsible for breaking the law.
And it should bring you to a point of just absolute,
you know,
exhaustion and humility and saying,
I can't do this.
I can't do this.
Right.
That's exactly where I want you to be.
God says,
realize you can't do it.
You cannot,
you don't have the ability to keep the law.
You don't.
So imagine the banker says
i'm going to pay off your debt
what do i have to do believe me
that's it yeah and imagine saying to the banker, after you pay it off, do I need to keep making payments?
Right.
No.
Because it's paying off.
Your debt is paid.
Right.
And Jesus would say, and go and send them more
and do not get further into debt
yes
that's the same
those two statements are synonymous
so
faith is credited
as righteousness without the need for human work.
Faith depends on God's power to justify rather than human efforts.
Amen.
Why?
Because it is based on trusting God's promises, his word, his grace, his character.
Look, this comes down to, here's what it comes down to.
Your heavenly father loves you and he desires for you to believe him and trust him.
That's it.
Nothing else.
That's it.
He loves you and his desire is for you to trust him that's it believe what he says
you'll make him happy how do you make him happy believe him
believe everything he says don't doubt in your heart.
And you know what?
When you do, he'll give you whatever you ask in Jesus' name.
So this faith is available to everyone.
And there are no rituals required.
There's no extraordinary effort, no sacrifice.
You don't have to go live in a monastery.
You don't have to cut your body.
You don't have to do anything.
It's simple as this, that justification is available to all who trust in God, that his son made it possible on the cross.
Doctor, the principle is so simple, I feel like I'm repeating myself to continue on the same verse because what else can you say about this and yet it needs to be said again because obviously it doesn't get across to
to some people uh they they still insist on doing it's like how many ways can you say the most simple thing?
Paul spoke of the ungodly.
So that encompasses all humanity.
He's saying there's a universal need for God's grace.
No one is excluded from
the possibility of justification
through faith.
So now we're back to where we were at yesterday
talking about predestination
and free will.
Paul said,
it's for everybody.
If they believe.
While justification is through faith alone, true faith always results in a transformed, changed life.
This change aligns
the person's character with
God's character.
I've told you before, you know,
you can't be more like
Jesus.
But Jesus can have more
of you.
Yes. That's what it's about. Jesus. But Jesus can have more of you.
Yes.
That's what it's about.
It's about surrendering more of you.
The more of you that you surrender to him,
the more you become like Jesus.
It's not you.
See,
this thing would be,
I got to become like Jesus.
You're back to works.
Yes.
Whereas, Lord, I surrender.
I'm an absolute destitute bankrupt sinner.
Come and take control of my life.
That's faith. See, we're constantly falling into this works trap. I didn't realize that, Dr.
Dole said it. This whole concept of you got to become like Jesus, that's works. Yes. I
tried it for years and it didn't work. I worked and it didn't work.
I started every morning.
I'm going to be like Jesus today.
And by the time I went to bed,
I was Rick.
It's like, oh, I'm so disappointed.
It's like, I'm still me.
I don't want to be me.
I want to be like Jesus.
The pastor said, be like Jesus.
But Jesus wants you to be who?
He wants you to be Rick, filled with the Holy Spirit.
Yes.
He wants to live in you as you.
Right.
Nowhere in the scripture do you see Jesus saying to any of his disciples,
didn't say to Peter, hey, Peter, you know what your problem is?
You need to be more like me.
Nope.
You don't see it.
There's a lot of things taught in church you don't see in the Bible.
Right.
And there's a lot of things in the Bible that aren't taught in church.
Amen. Amen.
So this principle has been in effect since the days of Abraham.
This is not a new concept.
Jesus really did not introduce a new concept.
He reintroduced what Abraham knew.
Amen.
Of course, what the Jews at that time didn't understand was that Jesus Christ made Abraham.
The one greater than Abraham is here.
So all believers are called to place their trust completely,
fully, entirely in God's word.
They can rest in the assurance that justification is a gift.
It's nothing you do.
It's a gift.
Again, once you get this down inside of you it takes so much pressure
and stress off of you because you're not worrying about did I do that wrong am I
in trouble with the Lord just rest rest in him and surrender. Learn to surrender each day.
Surrender a little bit more of you.
And let him possess a little bit more of you.
Verse 6.
Even as David also described the blessedness of the man
unto whom God imputed righteousness without works.
David's testimony,
this is referring to Psalms 32.
And Psalm 32 affirms the principle
of justification by faith.
So Paul's using David's, or here we go again,
we're quoting Old Testament scripture
to show the Jews that the doctrine of imputed righteousness
is deeply rooted in Old Testament teachings.
Yes.
That's not just an Abraham concept,
but David taught this too in the Psalms.
Mm-hmm.
What's in the first Matthew 1.1?
What's the lineage of Jesus?
You know, the Bogots.
How's it start?
Matthew 1.1.
Hang on here.
I'm turning to it here.
Okay.
I just read it here. Okay. I just read it here.
Hang on just a moment.
Sorry, I'm not moving that fast here.
Almost there.
All right.
Matthew 1.1.
The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
There you go. Thank you.
Why did Matthew, why did the Holy Spirit inspire Matthew to start the family lineage of Jesus as a human?
Why did he start with son of David, son of Abraham?
And notice David's first, although David lived after Abraham.
I mean, that verse right there, verse 1, Matthew 1, 1,
is teaching you that faith, that righteousness has been imputed to mankind
since the days of Abraham and David.
Paul speaks of this blessedness.
Even as David also described the blessedness of man.
Well, to be blessed means to be happy.
The happiness of man.
Happiness, joy, peace, assurance.
For what?
Because he had been declared righteous by faith alone.
Without works.
I've told this story a couple times.
This happened to me in my very,
well, I would say probably,
if I had to guess a year maybe late 85 maybe
early 86 and all day that particular day my I was pondering the the verse that
said David was glad when they said let us go into the house of the Lord.
I don't know why the scripture, that day it just stuck in me and all day long I kept thinking
about it.
And I kept thinking, why was David glad when they said, let us go into the house of the
Lord?
I just kept asking myself that question.
Why was David glad when they said,
let us go into the house of the Lord?
And I went about my work that day,
but it was always in my mind.
And so, you know, when I went to bed,
that was kind of like my last prayer.
Father, why was David glad when they said, let us go into the house of the Lord?
I went to bed, went to sleep.
While I was sleeping, and I remember, Doc, I was on the right side of the bed.
Susan was asleep on the left side.
And the Lord Jesus Christ walked into the bedroom.
I never woke up and saw him.
He was there in my sleep.
He was there.
I know he was standing there.
And I heard him say, Rick, this is why David was glad when they said, let us go into the house of the Lord.
And Jesus had a container, like a bucket.
It was kind of like a golden, you know, ice chest.
I'm trying to describe a vessel, this golden vessel.
And he tilted it over my head.
I'm lying in bed asleep.
He tilted it over, and something came out and poured over me and I broke out in laughter.
Not just in my sleep.
Physically, in reality, I was laughing, laughing loud.
Susan woke up and she said what is wrong with you I say
another wrong with me it's what's right I'm the Lord was here and she's like
what I said he just came and poured a bucket of something on me.
He said, this is why David was glad.
Yes.
This is what Paul's teaching.
Even as David described the happiness of man, of whom God imputed righteousness without works.
Yes.
Why was David happy?
Because he was a sinner.
He had done some serious stuff, and yet God forgave him.
Yes.
Hallelujah.
And David was happy
he was blessed
blessed means happy
he was filled with happiness
joy, peace
why?
because he had an assurance
that God had declared him righteous
and made him happy
where is the joy in the church today?
I've never seen so many miserable, unhappy Christians.
How would anybody know you're happy?
How would anybody know you're blessed?
When you never smile.
You don't have any joy. You don't have any joy you don't have any happiness you know why
because you've lost sight of the gift of grace yes you've lost sight of it you've been satan
has gotten you bogged down into the world's troubles and you're a lot of you are focused
on your own troubles your own problems and you think
about them day and night and satan's robbed you of your joy don't let him steal your joy
and it's not your joy it's it's god's joy yes the joy of the lord is your strength not your joy in the lord is your strength
god's joy in you is your strength amen i'm glad to hear you put it that way i've i've taught that
for years and so it's all about him it's not about it it's about him
and this is such a
simple concept and yet people trip
over it over and over and over.
It's about Jesus.
Just about him.
You know? The whole thing's
about him. You know,
in heaven, they're
singing hymns to him. They're bowing down and calling,
holy, holy, holy. Hey, the whole day is about Jesus. I mean, I don't want to say he has an ego, because we think of ego differently.
But he requires, he needs worship.
He likes it.
He likes to be the center of attention.
Doctor, you think in heaven?
He says, hey, sing that hymn number 8,422.
I love that one.
Sing that.
It's about me.
Sing it.
I love it.
All the hymns are about him.
Yes, it's about him.
And the sooner you get that in your spirit the quicker you'll get into the
joy of the Lord it's about him yes so this joy this blessedness includes the
forgiveness of sins a reconciliation with God.
We've been reconciled.
The angel said,
peace on earth, goodwill toward men.
Heaven is sending peace to earth.
Heaven is bestowing goodwill towards men.
Men meaning mankind, male and female.
Yes.
God is offering reconciliation.
This is what the angels were singing over Bethlehem.
We've got great news.
God is desiring to be reconciled with fallen mankind.
I don't think the angels knew about it
until they got there, until they were given the assignment.
Yes.
I think they were so excited.
Like, what is going on?
God is doing something big.
He's doing something
really big.
So, imputing righteousness is a sovereign act of God.
Repeat it again.
It can't be earned.
It's something freely given by God's mercy.
Because God is the justifier.
Human
merit plays no part
in our justification.
Forgiveness of sin is
inseparable from the imputation
of righteousness.
Amen.
And both are included
in the happiness,
the blessedness
that David describes.
So there's a dual aspect
of justification,
being freed from guilt
and at the same time
credited with righteousness.
Right.
It's a win-win.
It's a double winner.
The guilt is taken away, but you're not just empty.
What replaces guilt is righteousness. So David's words in the psalm are telling us that justification by faith was understood by his generation.
Yes.
So by emphasizing faith, King David excluded reliance on the Jewish legal system.
It's just this truth about God's redemptive plan has been there for thousands of years before Jesus came to earth
as God in human flesh.
So I want to go to verse 7.
What time are we at?
Okay, verse 7.
Blessed are they whose iniquities are
forgiven whose sins are
covered
pretty easy to figure this one out
again he's still talking
Paul's talking about Psalm 32
David
spoke of the blessedness
that comes with forgiveness and justification by faith.
So by quoting David, Paul is showing the Jews who are reading his letter in Rome
that the principles of forgiveness and justification have always been central to God's redemptive plan for mankind.
Again, the theme is we're not introducing anything new.
Yes.
We're just reminding you what's always been there.
What was new was God has thrown the doors open
to the whole planet and said, come on in.
It was to the house of Israel first.
But after the cross, the doors are wide open.
All mankind is welcomed.
In this verse 7, Paul speaks of forgiven
this is the complete removal of guilt
and the penalty of sin
the penalty
you've got to remember
not just removal of guilt
but the penalty of the sin committed
is removed
repeat it again forgiveness is an act of God the sin committed is removed.
Repeat it again.
Forgiveness is an act of God and is granted solely by God's mercy and grace.
Covered, let's go back and look at,
he said, blessed are those,
blessed are they whose iniquities, their sins, are forgiven and whose sins are covered.
So iniquities are forgiven, sins are covered.
Covered means that the sins are hidden by God's mercy.
No longer visible.
No longer counted against the believer.
It means the sins have been dealt with by God fully, finally.
He's not going to pull the cover off someday and go, ha-ha, remember this?
I'm bringing it back against you.
Surprise. right I'm bringing it back against you surprise see you don't have double jeopardy in Heaven's Court praise God hallelujah you're not gonna whip
something out at the last minute look at this we got you you. You know, double jeopardy is you can't be charged for the same
crime twice. Right.
Well,
same as in heaven.
Once he's forgiven you,
Satan
can't come back in and try to bring that
charge against you again.
Because the
judge, almighty God, is going to say
that sin
was dealt with,
the price was paid, and the defendant is innocent.
Right. He has no legal standing on that.
Now, he could say it to you.
Try to make you believe it.
He could say it to you, but in the court of God, it doesn't count.
There are so many
people, including Christians,
who are
wallowing
around
either in
self-guilt
over things
they did years ago, and they just can't get over it, or they can't
get over what somebody else did against them years ago.
And the other person's moved on, and God dealt with their sin, and they asked for forgiveness, and it was done,
and yet somebody else is still just floundering around
and talking about what somebody did 10 years ago, 20 years ago, 30 years ago. I've known people
I've known married couples
that hadn't talked to each other
in 40 years
never said a word
how
how can you hold on to
to unforgiveness
for decades?
Because they like it.
It becomes part of it.
Yeah.
It becomes part of what they value and their own vision of their worth.
Well, the reason I'm like the way I am
is because of that other person
who did this 40 years ago.
Right.
And I am not going to forget it.
Wow.
What a way to waste your life.
Why?
And it bugs me, Rick.
Why take that to hell with you?
I know.
Why carry it to hell with you?
There are people who say that they're Christians,
and I'm not going to judge whether they are or not.
I have no ability to know that.
But I can look at the fruit.
And they're not happy. They're not joyful.
They're not full of the Holy Spirit.
They're not actively engaged in witnessing for Christ because they are obsessed with their own emotional issues.
And they go through life thinking about themselves.
And there's no joy. And I, you know, to me,
I see like there's a light switch in their brain.
Kind of like if you just would flip that switch up,
you could go from misery to joy.
It's just flipping the switch.
Turn the light on.
Just turn the light on.
Go from negative to positive.
You have the switches in your brain.
All you have to do is flip the switch.
A lot of stuff in your life would clear up immediately.
Just change the way you think and talk.
And watch what happens.
The people around you that you're griping about, they'll respond to the new you.
Amen.
They'll be relieved.
Hallelujah. They'll be relieved. Hallelujah.
They found the switch.
I don't know.
I feel like I'm talking to people today, Doc.
No, you are.
There are some that need to hear this today, Rick,
and some that need to hear it so they can tell others, too.
Your life could change just by changing the way you think and talk.
A man is as he thinks.
This blessedness, remember blessedness is happiness.
This happiness is a deep spiritual happiness that flows out of your soul because you know that your sins are forgiven
and you know that your relationship with God is secure.
You don't worry about losing your salvation.
You're secure.
Do I believe in eternal
security? If you walk with
Christ, yes.
Yes, if you walk with Christ,
you are eternally
secure.
If you don't walk with Him, I don't know where you're going to end up.
Just walk with Christ.
You don't have anything to worry about.
Right.
And that gives you happiness and joy and peace and comfort.
You want to be like a little child, papa or mama holding the child.
How happy and secure can you be?
I love seeing children being held by their father or mother, and they just put their
heads down on their parents' shoulder, and they're just as happy.
They feel safe.
They feel safe and secured and loved and valued.
And that's how God desires you to be.
It doesn't matter your age.
He'll hold you if you're 78 years old or 20 years old or 90.
He'll still hold you. What's 90 years to somebody that has no time?
Yeah.
He made time for us, not for himself.
He didn't need time.
He made it for us.
And time
will disappear when he comes back.
And actually, time is grace.
And I'll tell you why. Imagine
if there was no time and we sinned.
We'd be stuck in that forever.
I was thinking,
Doc, if there was no time time true news would go on forever we'd
never stop reporting that we would just go on there was no time no that's true
you're right doc because at some point time will no longer exist. Time will end.
There will be an end to time.
And eternity
begins. Well, it doesn't
begin. Eternity has always been.
But then we're freed from time.
We enter into
eternity where God lives.
And that's why
if we're judged
on the final day why if we're judged uh on the final day and we're judged not redeemable
because we haven't been covered with the blood of christ we live with that sin for eternity
yes because there is no time but on the other side because are forgiven, because there is no time,
we live in an eternal state of bliss, happiness, and forgiveness.
It works the other way, too.
Amen.
Verse 8.
Blessed is the man whom the Lord will by no means charge with sin.
King James says, whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Yes.
So Paul is still in Psalms 32.
Imputation, not amputation, imputation,
refers to God counting or crediting something to one's account.
Yes.
So in this verse, non-imputation indicates that God does not count sins against the believer.
So God chooses not to charge the believer's account with sin.
Because this demonstrates his mercy.
And it reflects the completeness of forgiveness.
But again, this decision to withhold sin's imputation is solely God's act.
Yes.
It's an act of grace.
And nothing we do.
And he can do it because he has the authority to do it and nobody else does.
Yes.
Praise God.
That's a good word there.
He's the only, and the non-imputation of sin.
So you've got dual action in God's redemptive work.
There's two things he's he's crediting righteousness to you when you don't
deserve it and he's not crediting sin to you when you deserve it that's the best
way to describe grace yes it's giving you something you don't deserve and not giving you what you do deserve.
Right.
And, Rick, you summed up just now what, in college, a course I took called Soteriology.
It was a course that met three times a week for a whole semester.
Okay?
Soteriology is the study of salvation that's all we did for a whole semester three days a week an hour each of those days over the course of a whole semester a midterm and a final
the study of salvation and what we just described here is the entire course
well good i accelerated it and we didn't have to charge
anyone for a three hour credit course either
what was the name of the course
soteriology
how do you spell that
s-o-t-e-r-o-l-o-g-y
soteriology
the study of salvation
I have never heard of it
that's a new one for me
so we just did the class here you just it just summed
it up good all right well we're we're speed learning so so the non-imputation of sin removes
the believer's guilt yes and granting peace and assurance it grants peace and assurance of god's favor
so believers that be you you're no longer under condemnation
and you're free to live in the joy of the lord's grace
once you understand this you can't help but to be joyful.
Hallelujah.
Amen.
Amen.
Because this happiness, this blessedness comes from inner peace,
knowing that your sins are forgiven and will not be held against you. you how many of you are you know deep deep deep down inside your so you're
worried that some sin is going to be brought up on Judgment Day see you You haven't fully accepted the gift of grace.
And when you do, the joy of the Lord will overtake you.
He's far more loving and forgiving than we realize.
There are people that need to hear this today, Rick.
Yes.
I hope people are set free of guilt.
And nobody has the right to remind you of a sin you committed years ago.
If you repented of it and God forgave you, nobody has the right to bring it up.
That's right.
Nobody. Nobody.
That's the devil talking through that person
because he's the accuser of the brethren.
Amen.
I want to get down to verse 9.
Cometh this blessedness then
upon the circumcision only
or upon the uncircumcision also?
For we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
So modern English would be,
is this blessing then pronounced only on the circumcised,
or on the uncircumcised also?
For we say that faith was accounted
to Abraham for righteousness.
So Paul's asking one of these questions again
to spur the readers to think, ponder.
What's this concept he's teaching us?
He's asking whether this blessing of justification
is only for circumcised Jews.
Or is it for the uncircumcised Gentiles?
Because this was a big issue.
If it's for the uncircumcised Gentiles, then what is the point of Judaism?
What's the point?
Hasn't it been eradicated?
The whole system's gone.
So he's challenging this exclusivity
that some Jews had regarding their covenant status.
Is righteousness promised only to an ethnic group or is it a universal offer?
It's at the heart of this issue Abraham was declared righteous
in Genesis 15 6
before the covenant of circumcision
yes
so circumcision in the Old Testament
was a sign
a confirmation
of the righteousness Abraham already had.
The ritual was a visible affirmation of a spiritual reality, not the means by which
that reality was achieved.
Right.
So Abraham's experience demonstrated that faith alone,
no works, no rituals, faith alone is sufficient for righteousness. So that makes him the father of all who believe, both Jew and Gentile.
So Paul's saying, God's promise of justification now extends to the whole world.
The doors of heaven are open.
All may come in.
All may claim Abraham as their father.
Doc, any final words before we close up here?
No, the only thing I would add to this
is that
like you said,
Abraham's faith
was counted to him before
the confirmation of the covenant.
In other words, the covenant was by faith,
and circumcision confirmed the covenant.
It's not the other way around.
Or else a Gentile could get circumcised, and he would be counted, right?
Wouldn't that be all that would be required?
Yes.
So you were circumcised,
but no, it's not of works, lest any man should boast, but simply of grace. So one other thing
too, Rick, is that I know that there, in a group of 400 people, there's probably people there
dealing with issues of personal unforgiveness in their own lives.
And even right now, even as we're teaching today and sharing the Word of God,
Satan is whispering in a few ears this morning,
you know what, you're not really forgiven.
You're not really saved.
You're not really under grace because of this or this, or you did this thing.
You said this thing or whatever.
And I just want to encourage you right now.
The way I look at it is when Satan brings these things up,
is you bring them to God and lay them before him and say,
Lord, Satan is bringing this issue up.
Lord, I'm laying it before you.
And these words I spoke, this deed I did, whatever it is,
and say, Lord, and if you've never asked forgiveness for it, ask the Lord's forgiveness
for it. But after that, move on. Don't dwell on it. Don't live in it. Don't let Satan live
rent-free in your head over a sin God's already forgiven you of.'s uh let's uh close with prayer i i believe people are going
to be released right now you're going to feel different today you're going to feel something
lift off of you amen you're going to liberate it father god thank you lord father we thank you
we thank you for making a way for us to be forgiven and to be justified.
Praise God.
You did it through your son.
You loved us so much that you sent your son to die on a cross for us.
He's not dead.
He's alive.
And he's seated right beside you.
And he's praying and interceding for us right now. Father, I pray for every person in this Morning Man of Bible class who is burdened, weighted down, harassed, troubled, vexed, tormented by accusations that sins they committed, failures that they committed years ago are unforgiven and they are still under the burden of those sins.
Father, for everyone who is dealing with that,
I pray if they have repented in the past,
then Lord, liberate them right now.
Yes.
And if they haven't repented, let them do it right now, Father,
and impute righteousness to them, forgive them, wipe away all the stains, all the guilt.
Father, take away from our brothers and sisters today feelings of unworthiness, of shame.
There's somebody dealing with shame.
Father, take away the feeling of shame.
Liberate them.
These are works of the devil to saddle them, burden them,
like they are a beast of burden, have to carry the shame of their sins.
Father, give them joy today.
Fill them with the Holy Spirit.
Yes, Lord.
I pray, Father, that people today in this morning manna class will be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
And experience unspeakable joy in Jesus' name.
Amen.
Amen.
Praise God.

we'll close out for today.
