There appears to be progress in settling the bloody Ukrainian-Russian war.
The Washington Post and New York Post today both reported that a peace plan brokered by
the Trump administration will be unveiled in about three days.
This is true news for Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025.
So let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's headlines.
We'll start with this New York Post headline.
Trump will unveil Ukraine war peace plan over the next three days as details emerge about
possible peacekeeping force.
Doc Burkhart is here with me.
The Post says, President Trump said Monday he would reveal the contents of his proposed
peace plan for the Ukraine war this week, which could include European troops in the
battle-torn country to enforce the proposed ceasefire.
The U.S. expects Russia and Ukraine to respond to a peace deal after Trump threatened to end American involvement in
the ceasefire talks after months of Washington discussions with both both warring parties.
So Doc, we may be we may be seeing a big deal, a peace plan unveiled here in the next three
days that could bring this war to an end. You're right. The Post report says,
I'll be giving you a full detail over the next three days,
President Trump told reporters,
but we had very good meetings on Ukraine and Russia.
So we'll see how that all works.
Now, while the terms are not set in stone,
as Kiev and Moscow internally discussed the plan,
one senior administration official told The Post,
they may include deploying European forces to Ukraine should an end to the war and ceasefire be reached. The quote is, the resiliency force is part of the security guarantees that the
Ukrainians want and we hope they get. Also on the table is a separate peacekeeping force to monitor any ceasefire, which would look like a joint commission of Russians, Ukrainians, and a third non-NATO country watching the front lines to ensure both sides are putting their weapons down.
The officials said that the U.S. may also be involved, not as boots on the ground, but the monetary force, along with a third party, the official said.
I'd be interested to see if there somehow ends up being a European force in Ukraine,
since that's been such a huge sticking point for Russia.
Perhaps an impasse was made this week in Paris,
but I'd like to see what happens as a result of this, Rick.
Let's look at the next article to see if there are any more clues in this.
Financial Times, London.
Vladimir Putin offers to halt Ukraine invasion along current frontline.
That was a surprise announcement today.
It says President Putin has offered to halt his invasion of Ukraine across the front line
as part of efforts to reach a peace deal with US President Donald Trump, according to people
familiar with the matter.
That tells me, Doc, that the deal is done and Vladimir Putin just implemented the first
step.
That's the way I read this. The Russian president told Steve Witkoff,
President Trump's envoy,
during a meeting in St. Petersburg earlier this month
that Moscow could relinquish its claims
to areas of four partly occupied Ukrainian regions
that remain under Kiev's control.
Three of the people said.
It goes on, this is the Financial Times.
The U.S. has since floated ideas for a possible settlement that includes
Washington recognizing Russian ownership of the Crimea Crimean Peninsula,
as well as at least acknowledge the Kremlin's de facto control over parts
of the four region it currently holds.
Yes.
It goes on in that article from the Financial Times to say,
but European officials briefed on U.S. efforts
to end the war cautioned that President Putin
would probably use the apparent concession as bait
to lure President Trump into accepting Russia's other demands
and forcing them on Ukraine
as a feat accompli.
There is a lot of pressure on Kiev right now to give up on things so Trump can claim victory,
one of them said.
Well, there's a lot of pressure on Kiev.
If Donald Trump pulls the United States out of Ukraine, the Ukrainian government collapses.
Right.
So there's a lot of pressure on them to face reality.
Until we know the details of this plan, I would say what little bit we're seeing here
today is that the Russians are getting most of what they demanded.
The West is going to recognize Crimea as Russian. That ends
the debate. It's over. There's no more discussion about the Russians stole Crimea from Ukraine.
It becomes a settled issue. It appears that they will get, you know, the occupied territories that they primarily
were fighting for three years ago.
And they will get the promise that Ukraine
will never join NATO.
Those are the big ones.
The ones that are going to get stuck in Mr. Putin's throat,
and maybe he's worked this out.
I mean, I'm going to be surprised if he allows any kind of foreign troops in Ukraine.
But if they have concluded, the Russians, hey, we got almost everything.
Let's swallow our pride on this one issue.
But they're going to put so many, so many restrictions on
this peacekeeping force that it's not going to be a threat.
They're definitely not going to allow EU NATO troops to come
in under the NATO banner.
But that joint military commission that they were talking about in the Trump proposed plan,
at least that's what's being floated, of Russian, Ukrainian, and a non-NATO third party participating.
Now that's, that might be something Vladimir Putin could live with.
But there are two, if you look at that New York Post article, there's two different military
forces that would be in Ukraine.
So my weeks ago, I would have said there's no way the Russians are going to accept any
troops today. My attitude is they have they have worked out the least offensive
revolting possibility of foreign troops in Ukraine.
They've come up with some solution and the Russians are saying,
hey, we won.
Let's go home.
And there has to be somewhere back in the back of the closet there,
a deal to lift the sanctions on Russia.
Of course, absolutely.
And that means European sanctions too.
Yes.
So something had to have broken through on this.
So maybe to get the European, because I think Mr. Trump was willing to lift the US sanctions,
the Europeans were the ones who were not going to lift the sanctions.
So maybe if the Russians said, OK, we will accept the peacekeeping force, but the sanctions
have got to go.
But the bigger deal here after this peace agreement is announced, the bigger deal is
going to be the peace deal between Russia and the United States.
That's coming later. That's the big money deal.
That's where the US and Russia
are going to go into business together.
Right.
And Doc, I think a year or two from now
we're gonna be saying,
did you ever imagine these things would be happening?
Not at all.
All right, so let me, all right, let
me try to give this, I'll give you a picture. Next year, next May, Donald Trump will be
in the reviewing stand in May for the Victory Day parade in Moscow. Not this year, but next year. Next year. And then Vladimir Putin
will be at the 250th anniversary celebration of the United States.
Where are they going to hold it? In the Midwest? There's supposed to be the great American state fair in Iowa,
but I'm still doing that or not.
But he's going to guarantee you.
He's going to show up for the 4th of July
or some major American patriotic celebration.
And we're going to be going, is this for real?
Yeah, we're going to be calling, we're calling him Uncle Vlad.
The American president is going to be in Moscow celebrating the Russian victory over the Nazis.
And the Russian president is going to be in the United States celebrating
the U S victory over the Brits.
That's what I see coming next year.
And a second victory over the Brits, too.
Unless, unless Mr. Trump joins the Commonwealth.
We haven't heard any more since he floated that idea.
President Zelensky said today, no, no, no, no, no, I'm not agreeing to this.
Sorry. This guy doesn't have a say in it.
That's right.
This is like a pauper at a bankruptcy court hearing
saying I'm not agreeing to the terms of the bankruptcy.
You don't have a choice.
No choice at all.
This country is defeated, is bankrupt, and he's a clown.
And if the US abandons Ukraine, they're done anyway, so yes, you know
So how are you in a position to demand anything?
Because the Europeans aren't going to come in without the United States and fight the Russians
So this is this is the key of independent Ukraine will not legalize
Excuse me will not legally recognize Russia's occupation of Crimea under any circumstances,
President Zelensky said during a briefing on April 22 today.
Quote, there is nothing to talk about.
This violates our constitution.
This is our territory, the territory of the people of Ukraine.
A statement comes to mid reports that recognition of Crimea as Russian territory is being considered
as part of the US-backed proposal to end the war on Ukraine.
Well, I bet it is.
Yes.
And I bet this week, Mr. Zelensky, you're going to agree to it.
Or you know, stuff happens. And you might just be removed as the occupying dictator in Kiev.
And they just extended that, by the way.
The martial law?
Yeah.
Well, there's going to be a deal.
Yes.
Now, Politico Europe says Dutch spies warn Russian attacks on Europe included bid
to sway EU elections.
This is a report out today.
Russia is stepping up its hybrid attacks against the Netherlands and its European allies to
influence and weaken their societies.
The Dutch military intelligence agency, MIVD said Tuesday.
The agency's annual report said that Russia attempted
to disrupt the 2024 European elections
by launching cyber attacks on websites
belonging to Dutch political parties
and public transportation companies aiming to make it harder
for Dutch citizens to vote.
So it goes on talking about this hybrid war that's taking place.
It's quoting the intelligence director, Vice Admiral Peter Riesink.
And he said, quote, we live in a gray zone between war and peace.
This is a comment from Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelman.
We live in a gray zone between war and peace to prevent vulnerabilities in the face of Russia.
A swift scaling up of our armed forces and defense industry is essential.
Only then can we prevent further Russian aggression in Europe. Go for it, Netherlands.
Well, and go for it. Let me see what you do.
And my question is, do you really think Russia is that interested in the Netherlands?
No. I mean, what they're going to tip the tulip trade in the Netherlands?
Take take the size of the Netherlands on a map
and move it over to Russia.
What do you got?
A little speck.
What are these people smoking?
I love the Netherlands, a great country,
but your leaders are absolutely delusional, thinking you're going to go to war
against Russia. Why do you? Okay, so they're saying the
Russians are doing cyber attacks. Well, I guess so. What
have you been participating in for the last 10 years against
Russia?
You've been doing cyber attacks to trying to influence Russian politics and elections.
How about providing military equipment, weapons to Ukraine
to attack Russian cities?
Do you think that is upset them?
And kill Russian citizens, yes.
And then they say, well, the Russians are attacking us.
Well, when you pick a fight with a bear, you probably will get mauled.
So don't fight with bears.
Especially when you're just a tiny little country. Don't fight with bears.
Okay, another big one here. This just happened this afternoon. Here's Bloomberg news.
Secretary Bessent expects tariff standoff with China to de-escalate very soon. This is a
big story. Just came out a couple hours ago. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told a closed
door investor summit Tuesday that both sides cannot sustain the tariff standoff with China
and that the world's two largest economies will have to find ways to de-escalate.
Okay, that's a big announcement. Yes.
So
that de-escalation will come in the very near future,
Vincente said during an event hosted by JP Morgan Chase and company in
Washington, which wasn't open to the public or media.
He characterized the current situation as essentially
a trade embargo rather than a trade war according to people who attended the session. Bessintz said
it was not the U.S.'s goal to decouple from China and that the current status quo of 145 percent
tariffs on Chinese goods by the U.S. and 125 percent tariffs on U.S. products by China was
not sustainable.
He expressed optimism that tensions could cool
in the coming months would bring relief to markets,
but caution that a larger deal could take longer.
Now, I'll just let folks know,
this is a standard art of the deal tactic
to ask for the moon and basically get halfway to the moon.
So this is just standard negotiating tactics.
They haven't dropped the tariffs yet,
but they said, you know what,
we could ease them up a little bit.
We're not in a trade war, it's a trade embargo.
So they're redefining truth, redefining reality. and so this is par for the course, Rick.
It is one of his tactics.
Mr. Bessent said, he expressed optimism that tensions could be cooled and bring relief
to the markets.
Well, let's look at what CNBC reported this afternoon.
Dow jumped 600 points on hopes for trade fight de-escalation.
So they just brought the relief to the markets.
And right now it's at 900 points higher.
And so it's been another jump too.
But Doc, is this a, is this a,
is the Trump administration gaslighting China?
You know, it wouldn't be beyond them to do it. I mean this it's a negotiating tactic here to see you know
President Trump hasn't blinked
But he by saying this it may cause China to blink so and notice. I said I said
Secretary Besson said it's not the u.s. Is go to decouple from China. I thought that's what we were doing right?
So which is it?
We're decoupling our economies from China or we're not decoupling
Again, are they gas lighting are they backtracking?
we're not decoupling. Again, are they gaslighting? Are they backtracking? What's the explanation for the
discrepancies in the statements?
Perhaps the reality has really set in that there's a lot of
impact that's coming from these tariffs, like we'll see in the
next story here.
You know, this was a closed door meeting with JP Morgan.
Yeah. So if you were in that meeting
and you heard that information
and you let your broker know what was going on,
you probably came out ahead a little bit today.
Doc, and I didn't grab the video from Fox Business News,
but I was listening, driving in this morning,
and John Castametes
was being interviewed by Maria Bartiromo.
And he's a smart businessman.
I interviewed him years ago.
And I think he's primarily in the food industry in New York.
But he's the guy that boughtABC radio, took a dying AM station, and turned it back into a well-managed popular AM radio station in New York.
Anyhow, I was listening to him. He was saying prices are falling. He said food prices are falling.
I'm certain he owns a food distribution
company or. Yes, that's where he made a fortune at. Yeah. Is that okay? I interviewed him
years ago. A long time ago. He was a really good interviewer, interview E. And he said
food prices were falling, egg prices were falling. And he said that gasoline will drop by a dollar a gallon.
I if I recall within a month.
So you're already starting to see them go down.
Yeah, you have.
I've noticed that just at the pump lately.
It's I think I paid 20 to 30 cents. I think I paid 299 the
other day. And my part of town is in the 280s right now. So, so
there that's a very real possibility, Rick. But down to
the 180s. Hey, I'm all for it. Let's this way. Yeah, but what
what has President Trump done to bring a dramatic drop in the price of gasoline?
Because Mr. Kastamides indicated he knew this was on its way within the next, I think he
said the next month.
Right, because we haven't had time yet for the U.S. oil supply to catch up, to fill in
anything.
So that hasn't caught up yet.
That's still ramping up, which we might not see till the end of this year.
So is it all emotional, Rick?
Is it all just, you know, smoke and mirrors that we're looking at here?
What's going on?
Let's think about who's in the White House.
I would think, maybe not necessarily out of his mouth, but out of the mouths of people
that are officially represented,
I could imagine closed door meetings
with the CEOs of all the oil companies
saying, got a deal for you.
You know, all those, those drilling
applications that Biden turned down. You know, all those
projects you had for refineries that you couldn't get permits
for? We'll prove them on the condition that gasoline prices
drop by a dollar
hmm You bring the prices down we sign the permits. I
Haven't feeling something like that happen. No, mr. Trump's transactional
Nothing happens without a transaction
Nothing. Once you get this down about how he operates. He's easy to figure out
You do this, I do this.
Everything is a transaction.
And that's how he operates his business, is how he operates everything in his life.
You can get along fine with him if you've got a deal.
Give him something that he likes.
And he'll he'll do it.
He'll sign it.
That's the way the man thinks.
CNBC reporting Chinese freight ship traffic to busiest U.S.
ports, Los Angeles and Long Beach.
Sees steep drop.
Yes, already. So that pullback in trade between the US and China due to President Trump's steep tariffs
on Chinese goods and fears of a recession are starting to show up in major ports data
with a steep drop in container vessel traffic headed to LA and Long Beach.
For the week ending May the 3rd, the number of freight vessels leaving China and headed
to the Southern California ports, the main U.S. ports receiving Chinese freight and other Asian trade, is down 29
percent week over week according to Port Optimizer.
Year over year the data shows a 44 percent drop in vessels scheduled to arrive in the
week of May 4 through May 10.
Now this data is updated daily based on the vessel manifest declaring
the port destination and these vessels are either scheduled to leave Asia or
already on the water headed to ports. The fallout from the ocean freight slowdown
is beginning to hit ground transport linked to ports. We are at a tipping
point on the West Coast that's come from Ken Adamo, chief of analytics at DAT
Freight and Analytics, looking at how many truck loads are available versus
trucks we've seen a precipitous drop over 700,000 loads have evaporated
nationally in the past week compared to two weeks prior that's a significant
number okay yeah it is big so from last, they're down 44% at Long Beach and, and LA.
That's almost 50%. Obviously, it's hurting China. But it's hurting Americans too. Right. The dock workers.
But it's hurting Americans too. Right.
The dock workers, they don't have any work dock.
Right.
So that means dock workers are being sent home.
Yes.
Truck drivers don't have any loads to haul out of the docks.
Yes.
Trains don't have any loads to transport across the country.
Stores don't have goods.
It's impacting Americans.
And so that's why Scott Besson said, you know, this fight over trade, this isn't sustainable.
We can't keep this going very long because it's going to hurt both sides.
And I think what Mr. Trump did was he pulled the brakes so sharp,
so hard that it shocked the Chinese.
And they were like, our economy could collapse
if this last keeps going.
And, you know, let's be honest,
he used China as leverage against other countries too.
He said, now look what I can do to China.
You should be thankful
we only have 10% tariffs on you right now.
That's right.
And after all, I saw one report that 30 or 34 countries
are in DC this week to meet with the administration
on negotiating tariff deals.
34 separate countries.
It's a lot of deals being made in DC.
Financial Times, China's rare earth minerals controls,
China's control of rare earth minerals
prompt fears of auto shortages and shutdowns.
Right, now China's latest export controls
on rare earth minerals could cause shutdowns
in automotive production.
If Beijing fully chokes off exports,
stockpiles of essential magnets will run out within months.
In early April, Beijing expanded its export restrictions
to seven rare earth elements and magnets
vital for electric vehicles, wind turbines,
and fighter jets in retaliation
for US President Donald Trump's Steve tariffs.
Government officials, traders and auto executives
said that with inventories estimated to last
between three and six months, companies would be racing
to stockpile more material and find alternative supplies
to avoid major disruption.
Jan Giese, a metals trader at Frankfurt based Tradium warned that
customers had been caught off guard in most car groups and their suppliers
appear to be holding on only two to three months worth of magnets. If we don't
see magnet deliveries to the EU or Japan in that time or at least close to that
then I think we will see genuine problems in the automotive supply chain.
China's latest controls focus on heavy and medium rare earths such as dysprosium,
terbium and samarium enabling high performance magnets to withstand higher temperatures.
And these are vital for like military applications like jets and missiles and drones as well as
rotors, motors and transmissions that feature heavily in electric and hybrid vehicles.
An extension of this too,
that China's warning other countries
that if we give you rare earth minerals,
you can't send, you can't manufacture anything
going to the US using our rare earth minerals.
Yes, and that came up today.
Yes.
Korea Economic Daily.
China bans export of Korean goods using its rare earth metals to U.S.
So the Chinese government has warned South Korean companies of retributions for exporting
any products containing its critical metals to U.S. military contractors.
A move expected to take a toll on the export-reliant Korean economy.
According to sources in the Korean transformer industry on Tuesday,
at least two of its transformer manufacturers have received official notices from China's Ministry
of Commerce, demanding they cease exports of any power equipment
containing Chinese origin heavy rare earth metals to U.S. military contractors or the U.S. military.
So, Doc, you know, a couple articles earlier, it sounded like Secretary Bessent was saying,
hey, we're going to be friends again.
We're going to work out something.
But what's coming out of Beijing today is pretty heavy handed.
Right.
Don't use our rare earth metals for anything going to the U.S.
And that, you know, with China's proximity, I mean, with South Korea's proximity to China,
this is going to be a tough deal for them to deal with.
So what if the Chinese don't back down? What if they say,
no, we think our approach is sustainable. You started this
fight, but we're going to finish it.
I guess it depends on how many deals they've been able to make
with other countries around the world. And they've been doing
that. I mean, they've been sending their ambassadors
out all the world making their own deals.
And they're also warning other countries
don't make any deals with the US that hurts China.
Right.
So everybody's caught in the middle.
This says the letter,
which also warns that violations may trigger sanctions or regulatory actions did not specify the nature of potential penalties.
However, the companies fear Beijing could completely block sales of the metals altogether.
If China continues targeting Korean firms with such export control measures, the fallout could significantly disrupt the growth of Asia's fourth largest economy,
which relies heavily on exports, particularly in advanced manufacturing sectors such as semiconductors, batteries, and electric vehicles.
Yeah, yeah, I mean, it would really impact South Korea in a big, big way, Rick.
big way, Rick. So all this is weighing heavily on globalists who are watching their global world order crumble. New York Times, it said last today, global
economic leaders gathering in US confront Trump's new world order.
I like that word confront.
What are you going to do?
Their old world order died.
And he's making a new world order.
That's right.
So global economic leaders are gathering in Washington DC this week for their spring meetings
of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. They're arriving in the
U.S. that is a vastly different place from the one they visited during the same forum last year.
Recent debates over industrial policy and whether the world economy could achieve a soft landing
have now been replaced by anxiety over President Trump's trade war, revived inflation fears,
and new worries about the prospect of a global recession.
Quoting the New York Times here,
the post-World War II rules-based system
of global governance,
which the United States played a key role in fashioning,
is crumbling before our eyes, said Eswar Prasad,
a former China director
of the International Monetary Fund.
You know, Doc, if he'd been watching true news four or five years ago, we were telling people
it's falling apart. We were trying to tell our audience, stop worrying about this new world order.
It's crashing. It's crumbling.
Yeah, what you should be worried about was the new new world order coming in.
That's right. You've been living in new new world order coming in. That's right.
You've been living in a new world order since World War II.
Yes.
That's why things got so weird.
In a rules-based order where the rules are made up and nobody wins.
That's right.
Well, the Trump administration has left little doubt about its distaste for practically every
multilateral institution, including the IMF and the World Bank, because
it views these institutions, recommendations and policies as not always perfectly aligned
with the narrowly defined American interests, said Mr. Persaud.
No, they viewed the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank as in opposition to
what America has been trying to do. And so, or at
least what the Trump administration wants to
accomplish. So there's definitely a clash there between the old
world order and the new world order that is where it's here
now. We're not coming back from that.
That's right. It's, has changed forever and we will witness
Competing new world orders in the coming decade, right and then one of them
one of them will one of them will win and
Control the world for about a hundred years if Christ doesn't come back
Peter Schiff, who's a very astute observer of these things,
he tweeted last night.
Gold is not just any commodity, it's money.
Under normal circumstances, gold does not move the way it is now.
And this is last night.
It's already up another $58 tonight trading above 34.83.
This is the end of the US dollars dominance.
Life in America is about to change in ways few can imagine.
I would agree with him.
There's a new world order taking place.
It's everything is up for grabs. There's a new world order taking place. It's everything is up
For grabs everything's changing right and gold is maintained its value
It's still bumping up against 3,400 day. I came down just a little bit, but still right at 3,400
It's at 33 92 right now. Yes, but that's looking really good and
So I would encourage you to call GoldCo

to talk to the people at GoldCo.

Newsweek we're back to deals. Oh my goodness when you sent this to me today I know I was like
hot dog they pulled it off. Iran folks what we said to you a few minutes ago, once you figure out that Mr. Trump is transactional,
he likes deals.
That's the way you work with him.
Iran offers to help Trump revive U.S. nuclear sector in a canceled speech.
It was a speech that an Iranian official was supposed to give their foreign minister, and
it was canceled at the last minute.
But the newsweek's got transcripts of what he was going to say.
Yes, you've got to listen to this story, ladies and gentlemen.
Iran's top diplomat sought to entice President Donald Trump's administration with up to tens
of billions of dollars worth of contracts to help revitalize the U.S. nuclear industry in a canceled speech.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arrachi was to deliver the address virtually on Monday at the
Carnegie Endowment for International Peace's Nuclear Policy Summit. However, the organizers
mandated that Arrachi open up to questions which led to his team pulling out of the event.
Now, the important thing here to note is the Iranian mission to the UN later shared that
transcript with Newsweek of the planned remarks, which in one notable section doubled down
on Tehran's emphasis on the potential investment value of a new nuclear agreement with Washington
as the two sides engage in
talks. Now listen to these quotes from Newsweek here. Iran has never stood in
the way of economic and scientific collaboration with the United States. He
said the obstacle has been previous US administrations often acting under the
influence of the same special interest groups.
Who could that be?
I think we can read between the lines there.
As I recently made clear in the pages of the Washington Post,
the trillion dollar opportunity,
that's all you had to say right there.
Trillion dollar opportunity.
that our economy presents may be open to U.S.gity dog. I just got a glimpse of the music
man. Ladies and gentlemen, this town needs a boys band and
you're going to pay for it. The Iranian said don't blow up our nuclear facilities, come on in.
Help us build them.
Build them, make them bigger.
Oh my goodness.
And we'll give contracts to your billionaire buddies.
Yes.
And you don't have to blow up our stuff, just come in and make them bigger and we'll pay
you to do it.
And if your US companies are here
helping us build nuclear sites.
Israel won't blow us up.
That's right.
So now it went on to say, another quote here,
this includes companies which can help us generate
clean electricity from non-hydrocarbon sources.
Iran currently operates one reactor
at the Bersher nuclear power plant.
Our long-standing game plan is to build at least 19 more reactors,
meaning tens of billions of dollars in potential contracts are up for grabs. The
Iranian market alone is big enough to revitalize the struggling nuclear
industry in the United States. When I saw this article today and read through it,
I read the whole thing, all the way through. I'm just like going, they just
turned this thing completely around. They did. And they got the idea from Donald
Trump. Yes. When he, you know, months ago said about the US going into Ukraine and mining the rare earth minerals
to get repaid for paying for the war.
The lights went off in different capitals.
And the Iranians started thinking, wait a minute, this.
And then with the Gaza plan,
then they're like, okay, all we have to do is make a deal.
All we have to do is make an offer to him.
Right.
So the American companies that own the nuclear power plants in America,
they would be offered contracts worth a trillion dollars.
Yes.
Suddenly they're not the great Satan anymore, are they? Yes. Suddenly they're not the
great Satan anymore are they? No and we're not the great Satan. I mean we're
not the great Satan anymore to the Iranians. But you know who's
trillion-dollar investment? You know who's left out? The Israelis. That's right.
The Israelis are left out. Think about this just last week you had Benjamin Netanyahu
sitting in the overall office he came with a plan in his hand.
To blow up Iran.
To blow everything up in Iran.
Blow up all the nuclear facilities.
That's why I said, you know, people were misreading that video clip of Donald
Trump pushing the chair in for Mr.
Netanyahu at the White House.
People said, look at him.
He's acting like a butler now watch the watch the expression on Donald Trump's face as he walks away
He's he's saying to Netanyahu
You know what's coming?
I'll make you believe whatever you want to believe but I I'm working on a trillion dollar deal with the country you want to blow up
and when I want to I'll pull your chair out from under you and you'll fall on the floor.
And I still think he's going to do it to Netanyahu.
Oh, I agree. He's not going to do it to Israel.
Donald Trump's not going to pull the plug on Israel.
I think he will pull the plug on Netanyahu.
By the way, and I didn't put the article in here. I ran out of time
What's the guy's name and the head of the Shin Bet
Internal Police
Agency of Israel
Is a bar I forget his name. I think so. Yeah, so this is the guy that Netanyahu wants to fire
well, he
submitted a
sworn affidavit to the Israeli Supreme Court today of
the crimes
That he witnessed Netanyahu commit
right
This is this is this would be like the director of the FBI
Going to the US Supreme Court saying I've witnessed the president of the United States commit these crimes.
Yes.
So Netanyahu's days are coming to an end.
And when Donald Trump says, we can't move on with world peace until
Israel changes leaders.
That's the day Netanyahu's career ends.
He'll pull the chair out the day Netanyahu's career ends.
He'll pull the chair out from under Netanyahu.
They'll replace him with another leader and the U.S. will stay friends with Israel.
But we're gonna be friends with Iran.
We're not gonna blow up Iran the way this is moving.
We're not gonna blow up Iran.
It's hard to believe this is happening. I mean if you just deal with Trump in the transactional mindset you have more
Financial potential in having peace with Iran than you ever would have with Israel. Yes
And that just put ideology. Yes. So what what deal does Israel offer us to make a trillion dollars? Right.
We're going to take Gaza.
So that's not even up for negotiation.
At some point, he's going to say this to Israel.
You open up your country to American investors.
And he's going to say, you're going to have to pay for something. Something's got to give.
You take and never give.
And it's going to happen at some point.
Not yet.
Mr. Trump's got a timetable. Now, Ambassador Mike Huckabee, being the Christian
Zionist zealot that he is, he released a video yesterday on
social media and saying, stop pressuring Israel to allow food
to go into Gaza and feed those little starving children.
You need to put pressure on Hamas.
We are not going to put pressure on Israel.
You know, let those little kids starve.
That's the way to deal with Hamas.
This is a guy that calls himself a Baptist preacher.
He is an embarrassment to the Christian faith. Here's Ambassador Huckabee.
Hello, I'm Mike Huckabee, U.S. Ambassador to Israel. This past weekend, Dr. Hanan Balki,
who is the regional coordinator for the WHO for the Eastern Mediterranean region,
called upon me to put more pressure on Israel to bring
humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. I appreciate the message from Dr.
Bolke and today what I would like to suggest is that we work together on
putting the pressure where it really belongs on Hamas to give us the
opportunity to open up those humanitarian channels. So we call upon Hamas to sign an agreement
so that humanitarian aid can flow into Gaza to the people who desperately
need it. When that happens and hostages are released,
which is an urgent matter for all of us, then we hope
that that humanitarian aid will flow and flow freely, knowing that it
will be done without Hamas being able to confiscate and abuse their own people by not allowing
those resources to get to the people who desperately need it.
I'd like to know Mr. Huckabee's opinion of what Mr. Smoltridge said the other day that the war is more important
than the release of the hostages.
Yes.
Their own people.
In other words, he's saying if they die, they die.
We have to kill Palestinians.
And by the way, there are food convoys that have gone into Gaza that weren't attacked
by Hamas, but by the IDF.
That's right. So
And the reason the reason the reason that Yahoo was indicted as a war criminal was for
for blocking food for an embargo of food and water and
They're they're still doing it and they're still bombing hospitals. This bomb won the last remaining hospital
Yes, just a few days ago
My cockabee well all these guys just come out and say we want them all dead. That's what they really want
Well, so yeah, so he's saying
Get Hamas to sign this deal. I'm look I I don't care about Hamas Hamas a bunch of
I'm like I don't care about Hamas Hamas a bunch of
But what do you see let get them to sign the deal and we'll let the food come in no you're gonna
You're gonna round up the Palestinians and ship them to Africa
That's what your plan is. Yes
Admit it. Mr. Huckabee. Your plan is to ship 2 million
Palestinians to Sudan. Yes, You're not going to feed them?
You're moving them out.
And how is the Israeli military, which is so exalted among other militaries around the world, to all the Israelis are the best. How is it that they have been able to defeat a bunch of
ragtag terrorists with secondhand military equipment
and be able to do what they need to do in Gaza
because they don't have a stomach to do it.
They want other countries to do it for them.
And so anyway, it's tragic what's happening in Gaza.
Then there's gonna be a payday someday before the Lord.
Oh yes. There's going to be a payday someday there before the Lord. Oh, yes now the next
story I
Saw this last night on social media. I got to show this today
Wisconsin Republican senator now. This is this is the news media's headline mediate
GOP senator pushes a conspiracy theory that 9-11 was an inside jobs. Ron
Johnson says, my eyes have been opened. So the media is saying today, Ron Johnson's pushing
a conspiracy theory. So Senator Johnson of Wisconsin suggested Monday that the U.S. government may have played a role in the September 11, 2001 attacks
in an influence in an interview with MAGA influencer Benny Johnson
on the Benny show, the senator who sits on the Senate's permanent
subcommittee on investigations, question the official explanation
for the collapse of World Trade Center Building Number seven.
Well, it's about time.
Yeah, let's not even focus on the twin towers.
Let's just just on that one building seven.
All right. We've got two clips from the Benny show.
Here's Senator Ron Johnson.
What would you like to know about September 11th?
The official story there, Senator?
Well, start with building seven.
Again, I don't know if you can find structural engineers
other than the ones that have the corrupt investigation
inside NIST that would say that that thing didn't come down
in any other way than a controlled demolition.
I mean, you just look at that.
You talk about molten steel.
Again, you listen to the documentary, Bravo 7.
There's an awful lot of questions.
Who ordered the removal and the destruction
of all that evidence?
Totally contrary to any other
firefighting investigation procedures.
I mean, who ordered that?
Who was in charge?
I think there's some basic information.
Where's all the documentation from this investigation? Now, there are a of questions that I want and I will be asking quite honestly now that my eyes
have been opened up. I've talked to a former congressman Kurt Weldon now. I will work with
him to expose what he's willing to expose as well. Wow, so we may actually see hearings about this.
I think so. And by the way, this has opened up when my ranking member now,
when he was chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee
Investigation, he did the investigation on the PGA
and Liv, Golf, and the PIF.
Part of that is we had 9-11 families coming forward
and saying, we want the FBI files unredacted.
We want those made available in terms of what happened.
What did the FBI know had happened? So we got engaged with that on a bipartisan basis. We want to get those answers,
those documents for the families. Again, we didn't get squashed from the FBI. So hopefully now
with this administration, I think President Trump should have some interest in being a New Yorker
himself. What actually happened in 9-11? What do we know? What is being covered up? My guess is there's an awful lot
being covered up in terms of what the American government
knows about 9-11.
Doug, I get a kick out of watching these young podcasters
like Benny Johnson. He's doing a great job. But I get a kick out
of watching them discover things that I talked about 22-23 years
ago.
Yeah, 24 years ago.
It's like, this is old news, Benny.
Yeah, the answers have been out there for 24 years.
Some of us have been asking these questions
for a quarter of a century.
Yeah, think about this.
I'm glad you're discovering it.
Enough time has gone by here.
I mean, we're talking, it'll be 24 years this year.
That would be like investigations in 1965 about the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Yes, which went nowhere.
That's right.
They had, there were senators that asked questions. I have Doc, I've, an old tarnished yellow newspaper.
And my son, Jeremy, this is a long time ago, I'm going to say 2006 or 2007, that range.
And we were driving in a country and we came across this old abandoned farmhouse.
It was private property. We shouldn't have gone on the property, but we did. We trespassed.
We were just fascinated by it. And we just kind of walked around this old house, and
we noticed the door was open. We opened the door and walked into the house. Doc, it was like going into
a museum. And we're walking around in there just looking at things. I was in the kitchen
and Jeremy had walked into the living room and I looked down and at my foot there was
a newspaper. And I think, this would be my luck, there's a newspaper. I can't get away from the news. There's a newspaper on the floor.
Okay? I gotta bend down and pick it up. I gotta look at it. So I picked it up.
And it was dated, I want to say, somewhere early 60s, maybe 1960, 61, could have been 62.
Right. And let me guess, it was about Pearl Harbor.
Yes, there was a, I remember Senator Wheeler.
I want to say Montana.
If you can look it up, Doc, was there Senator Wheeler in Montana in the 60s?
And the story said, if I'm right about Wheeler, that's the name that comes to my mind.
I want to see Ben Wheeler.
The headline said, Senator Wheeler claims he has documents showing the Pentagon knew
about Pearl Harbor.
Burton Wheeler.
Burton, Burton Wheeler.
There you go.
It didn't say that they knew about Pearl Harbor.
He said, you know, let me get my memory right here.
The senator said he had documents that showed that the US,
I guess at that time, with the War Department,
had plans to enter World War II long before Pearl Harbor.
And he was gonna hold Senate investigations.
Well, what happened? They went nowhere.
Went nowhere.
And you know, I like Senator Ron Johnson
and he's gonna hold his hearings
and ain't nothing gonna happen.
Nothing's gonna happen.
Because you know why?
And ain't nothing gonna happen. Nothing's gonna happen. Because you know why?
When they find out why and who
were the people involved in 9-eleven the whole thing's gonna be covered. You know what?
So the Epstein files have still not been released. That's right. So what's Senator Johnson doing? Hey, I'm going to open up an investigation into 9-11.
Let's not talk about Epstein.
Let's talk about 9-11.
Yeah, why not just open an investigation into the Lincoln assassination while we're at it?
But see, they're throwing dust up in the air.
Forget about the Epstein files.
I'm investigating 9-11. Oh, okay, we don't care about the Epstein files. I'm investigating 9-11.
Oh, okay, we don't care about the Epstein. Well guess what? The Epstein files and the
9-11, they're connected because it's the same spy agency. That's right. And then
in the very next clip here, you know, and this is where it goes right up against
where he said, we're gonna find out the answers here. And know, and this is where it goes right up against where he said, we're going to find out the answers here.
And then he admits something.
Those guys, we're going to track them down. We're going to find out who it was.
Except for one small problem, Rick.
They're destroying the records.
Right.
And the senator knows it. Let's watch.
We have thousands of recordings versus one Zapruder film, it's not just December that has a record
of emailed communications, for example.
So the Dr. Moran's email, we didn't get that from the agencies,
we got that from a university that email was sent to.
So there's a lot of people, we gather information
from all kinds of different sources and we cross reference,
when we're asking for certain communications,
if we get it from one party outside of the government and we don't get it from
people within the government, that's how we have evidence that they're
covering something up or they've already already tried to destroy evidence.
But again, in today's electronic world, it's hard to destroy,
particularly electronic evidence.
But they're still doing it.
But you were able to find cases of them doing it.
Yeah, well, again, my guess is they are. But they're still doing it, but you were able to find cases of them doing it. Yeah.
Well, again, my guess is they are.
And again, the fact that there's nothing responsive to our subpoena with Tom
Shimabukura indicates that yes, he did absolutely destroyed evidence that we had
sent letters of preservation of record letters to repeatedly to the agencies,
not to destroy this evidence.
And indict him. Right.
Pam, the power to do it.
Pam Bondi, indict him.
They're destroying government evidence. Indict him.
Yes.
I mean, it's really that simple, isn't it?
It really is. You got control of the House, the Senate, the White House,
the FBI, everything. Indict him.
But Rick, in all of these things, who's been arrested yet?
Nobody.
Nobody.
Not a single person has been arrested.
That's why I'm done with the news.
I can't wait to end this.
I'm done.
I'm done.
I'm done.
Nothing changes, Doc.
Yes.
If I was, if I stayed here I stayed here till 100 years old
I'm gonna be talking about
investigations and Evidence being destroyed. Yes, you'll be talking about 9-eleven. Hey, they're they're opening up a new investigation
into 9-eleven in the year
2054
That's the same stuff. All right, let's just talk about more's the same stuff.
All right, let's just talk about more of the same stuff.
And it is the same stuff.
It's in the same vein here.
This is from the New York Post here.
The story we've been following regarding what's happening
over at the Pentagon.
Pete Hegs says, evidence from leak probe
will be handed over to the DOJ for potential charges. What he's talking about is the staff senior staff,
his senior staff, his people, yes, people he brought in. Defense Secretary Pete
Hegseth ripped the hoax press, he's calling them, he said that at an Easter
Aide hunt and blamed recently
fired aid spinning lies for the turmoil now engulfing the Pentagon on his watch
vowing in a Fox News interview Tuesday morning that all persons found to be
leaking. U.S. military plans will be referred to the Justice Department for
prosecution. So I guess, Doc, what he discovered was that his buddies that he brought into the Pentagon who were all of his pals I guess he discovered they
were deep staters. Yes. And he didn't know it until they they knifed him. Right.
This is his secretary Hicks appearance on Fox News today. When you dismiss
people who you believe are leaking classified information and again the investigation is ongoing and that will take time and if when the evidence news today. to try to sabotage the agenda of the president or the secretary. So, once a leaker, always a leaker, often a leaker.
And so we looked for leakers because we take it very seriously.
And we will do the investigation.
And if those people are exonerated, fantastic.
We don't think, based on what we understand,
that it's going to be a good day for a number of those individuals
because of what was found in the investigation.
So if they want to keep leaking and pushing and peddling things to try to sabotage the president's agenda, that's unfortunate. But
that's how leaking works in this town. We're focused on recruiting, on rooting out DEI,
on securing our southwest border, on the president's agenda, and it's going very
well at the Pentagon and I'm proud of it. And this next is another video clip from Fox and Friends Today where he said he's not backing
down against from his enemies.
Let's watch.
They've come after me from day one, just like they've come after President Trump.
I mean, I've gotten a fraction of what President Trump got in that first term.
What he's endured is superhuman.
It's not hard for me to do this job.
I know exactly why I'm
here. To bring war fighting and the war fighting ethos back to the Pentagon. To rip out the insidious
ideologies and not compromise and not back down. I'm here because President Trump asked me to bring
war fighting back to the Pentagon every single day. That is our focus. And if people don't like it,
they can come after me.
No worries. I'm standing right here. The war fighters are behind us. Our enemies know they're
on notice. Our allies know we're behind them. And that in this dangerous world for the American
people is what it's all about. So yesterday, NPR floated the story. Donald Trump is looking
for a replacement for Pete Hicks. I don't believe that at all.
No, I don't think so at all.
He doesn't sound like somebody who's been told from the White
House, your days are numbered.
And even if the leakers did prove to be genuine leakers,
which we don't know yet, then I think he'll get a pass on that
because he's Pete Hicks.
And then the guy, the only person with a brain, a functioning brain over CNN,
Scott Jennings, who I hope runs for Mitch McConnell's Senate seat in Kentucky.
He'd make a great US Senator. He said on CNN, Pete Hegseth is not going anywhere.
This guy's solid in his job.
Here's Scott Jennings.
I mean, he shouldn't be there.
Well it's a reason, but there's other reasons.
And just to counter Karen's points, Donald Trump, the president, the commander in chief,
may believe that Pete Hegseth, who he likes very much, is doing a good job.
After all, the first major military operation
of his presidency, our attacks on the Houthi rebels
seems to be going quite well,
being executed with precision.
And so I just think that they,
when they get into these moments
where you have Democrats going crazy
against one of his people that he likes very much,
their instinct is to dig in
and fight the opposition party on these things.
And I just don't get the sense from anybody in the White House that they think Pete Hegseth is doing a bad job. instinct is to dig in and fight the opposition party on these things.
And I just don't get the sense from anybody in the White House that they think Pete Hegseth
is doing a bad job.
I mean, they believe morale among the soldiers is up since Trump became president.
They believe recruitment is up, that people are wanting to come back into the military.
So they're looking at other metrics too by which you would judge is this person doing
a good job.
And I think they believe that he is.
Now Rick, the primary focus of those leaks
in the investigation is that Dan Caldwell,
you remember him, right?
Tucker Carlson did a 90 minute interview
with Dan Caldwell yesterday.
Yeah, anything come out?
And so I've only listened about halfway through it
because I didn't realize who it was
until I got about 20 minutes in.
I said, oh, that's Dan Caldwell. That's the guy that they escorted out of the Pentagon,
and he's on Tucker Carlson today. And so I'm going to finish listening to the rest of it,
but I thought it was really strange that Tucker Carlson brought Dan Caldwell on. Yes, well hey, I've got two more, excuse me,
two more articles that I want to cover
before we wrap it up, because we're over the one hour mark.
More Democrats went to El Salvador
to visit an MS-13 gang member
being held in prison in El Salvador.
Four House Democrats, Robert Garcia of California, Maxwell
Frost of Florida, Yasemin Ansari of Arizona, and Maxine Dexter of Oregon.
They said that while Donald Trump continues to defy the Supreme
Court, Kilmar Abrego Garcia is being held illegally in El Salvador.
But wait a minute, he is from El Salvador.
Right.
And he was in America illegally.
And he's a gang member.
And if El Salvador wants to hold him, that's their business.
That's right.
He is a citizen of El Salvador.
All the Trump administration did was ship his butt back to El Salvador.
He was not deported unfairly, illegally.
He was deported.
He went home.
He was sent home.
And they're keeping him home.
So you have to ask yourself, why are the Democrats fighting for this guy?
And Doug, the more I thought about it last night, I'm convinced that the Democrat Party is the U.S. franchise of the China Communist Party, and that these
Democrats are doing the work of the CCP.
No rational American, no American who loves their country would fight to bring back an illegal immigrant who was a member of a violent criminal gang.
Nobody in their right mind would do it.
These are not normal Democrats.
Can you imagine Harry Truman fighting to bring back a gang member?
Can you imagine John Kennedy, Adly Stevenson, look at the Democrats from decades
ago, would they have done something like this?
Absolutely not.
They've been totally lunacy.
Hubert Humphrey, Vice President Hubert Humphrey, none of these would have done anything like
Walter Mondale. Can you imagine Vice President Walter Mondale, Democrat,
going to El Salvador to show his solidarity
with an MS-13 gang member?
No, the only reason you're doing it as a Democrat
is because you work for China.
Right.
There's no other reason.
Now, that leads me to the last thing. This is a six minute
video. Hang in there with me. A friend sent this to me this morning. It's from Roseanne
Barr, her podcast. She interviewed Patrick Byrne. I have not seen him for quite some time. Former CEO of Overstock.
He's been quiet as far as I know.
I've not seen his name in the news, but he said something
in this video.
That made me do a triple take.
I watched this video about.
430 this morning, Doc.
I was like, oh, this is this is stunning.
If he has evidence of this, if this is true.
The American people need to hear it.
Let's watch this. Patrick Byrne.
We've spent several years now getting to the bottom of this,
and we know just how it works.
There are 15 cheating techniques.
14 of them are the on the ground ways you know about.
And they're very sophisticated people and they study each county and they say based
on its laws and practices, we're going to choose method B, E and K.
So they cheat as much as they can in these different on the ground ways you've
been hearing about for four years. But then on election night at 7.01 PM when the polls
close in whatever precinct or whatever county, they're coming on from Serbia and there's
an office from Serbia that comes into the back, a back door on these machines. Do you
mind if I take a moment to explain that?
Please.
Please do. We've been talking about this for years. I want to hear.
I won't geek out too much on it, but they create your computer, you might remember it
has a hard drive and it has RAM. And RAM is just, it's random access memory and it just
means it's not recording it on a physical medium other than. And anyway, they create
in that RAM what's called a virtual machine, a ghost machine
in the machine.
I think we agreed.
I thought it was just a ghost in the machine, but you said no, it was a ghost.
It's a ghost machine in the machine.
So it's like a second machine that's in that machine called a virtual machine.
It's a technology that's been around a couple of decades.
And from that ghost machine from Serbia,
they access the hard drive, change everything they want,
including the images, and then they poof, it disappears.
And there's almost no record whatsoever.
It was there and they closed the connection.
It's that's why they have fought so hard against people
getting to inspect the hard drives,
because there's very, you can find it if
you know what you're looking for. And you can find the connectivity that they were connected to
from Canada or something. So we know just how they did it and what happened on election day,
November 5th, 2020. And I can tell you that Kamala Harris was completely confident in winning. She
was in a business- You mean 2024. 2024. I'm sorry, did I say 2020? Yeah.
She was in a business, a bank, I'll go ahead and say it now, a bank with her transition
team talking about opening up banking accounts for the transition.
She was in the bank and talking to some people and it was very inappropriate.
I got word of it within hours.
I got word of it that, hey, first of all, her transition team were all Obama retreads. Second, all it was whole Obama.
She's just his puppet. Yeah. Susan Rice's puppet. Okay. Yeah.
So Obama retreads and secondly, they were a hundred percent confident. It was described to me as,
Patrick, it's very inappropriate. They're smirking. They're sitting here telling us,
it doesn't, don't believe anything you read in the press, don't believe the polls,
this election is in the bag. We are 100% confident and smirking about it. So they thought they were
going to win, which is why on election night, she didn't have a concession speech. She had no...
I remember that.
...20, remember?
Yeah.
She wrote it, but actually the only speech she gave that she sounded like...
Yeah, but it took like 12 hours to... Remember? Yeah. She wrote it. It was actually the only speech she gave that she sounded like she was...
Yeah, but it took like 12 hours to...
24.
Yeah, she didn't do it for...
24 hours to do it.
Yeah.
And that's why they've been off...
Hillary didn't have one either in 16.
Right.
They've been off script.
They've been off script since November 6th.
They did not have any script for this because they had no expectation of it.
They thought it was completely in the bag.
So the question is what happened? Yeah, what did happen? What happened is that
Serbian office, which incidentally is staffed by military intelligence from Serbia and China,
Serbia is the is a Western satellite of China. Yeah, it's staffed by military intelligence.
They they're at the end of the day, they can jam any result. They got neutralized. And the story
of how it got neutralized is something that's going to come out in time when the proper authorities wanted it.
But they got neutralized for that day is what happened. Just before the election,
I mean, just before they could change the votes, it got neutralized. 24 hours before.
Can you tell me what neutralizing means? I don't want to get into it here. The story for other people to break, but there are some real heroes, American heroes, who
did their job and they neutralized that operation.
That was the final resort for the cheaters was that.
That's why they didn't have to push too hard in the US because they always expected to
come through at the end from Serbia.
Get this, it turns out they've been doing this for 20 years and to 72 nations. China,
and there's a military institute in China, in Xi'an China, and they study every democracy
in the Western nation. And I'm sure they've got an expert for every one of 3000 counties
in America. And I'm sure that county, what
county are we in here?
This is Blanco County.
Blanco County? I'm sure that it is that there's some expert who knows more about Blanco County
than anyone you know.
On the Chinese payroll.
Well, there's a Blue Masonic Lodge in town, so that says everything.
Well, and they have been for 20 years altering who wins in the school board level, the police,
the captains, every elected position and moving up.
And then they've just in the last five years got to the top.
But that's so Chinese to overthrow the West like that without firing a shot.
Yeah, without firing a shot and without seemingly arousing any suspicion at all.
The nature of fifth generation warfare is you don't even know that you're under
attack or who your enemy is. But it's so Chinese for 2,500 years they have
believed that the greatest victory is to win without fighting and that's what
they've done. The goal was to overthrow our Republic. They've been at it 20 years
but all across the West. So we bemoan what we see happening in Europe and this migration.
Well, it just turns out that the politicians who are doing this are not truly getting elected
by the people. They're getting elected. They're getting chosen from some people in Serbia,
some Chinese military intelligence. So they've studied the West down to every nook and cranny,
and they are bending
the arc of the West so that it crashes into a brick wall.
And this is all, it's not a theory anymore.
And the people who really need to understand this understand it all now.
And President Trump understands it in these terms.
So if Patrick Byrne is correct in what he's saying, the Chinese are managing our elections.
And have been for 20 years.
So Doc, I'm not going to make a big deal about this, but you were with me on election night in the Florida primary, August 20, when I ran for Congress.
And, you know, everywhere I was going,
people were saying, oh man, I'm glad you're running.
You know, you're gonna,
you're probably gonna get at least close to 50% of the vote.
I was hearing this from a lot of people.
Right. What happened, Doc? You were sitting with me. What happened
when the polls closed?
I mean, it was almost instant.
Like it's was the 7pm?
Yes.
What happened?
As soon as the polls closed, they were declaring Brian Mass.
No, no, no before before what happened right at seven?
Yes.
The election system went down. Oh, that's right Yes. The election system went down.
Oh, that's right.
The Florida election system.
It went down.
I forgot about that.
It was dark for a couple minutes.
And then when he came up, he was the winner.
I was like, okay, I didn't even make it.
I was like, you know what?
I'm not even gonna say anything about it.
And in almost every precinct in
the district in three counties
The margins were the same
Yes between him and me there was no variation
At least
the districts the precincts east of
I-95
Where most of the votes were at right in in the precincts west of I-95 where most of the votes were at. In the precincts west of I-95, I won.
But there were more cows there than voters. Had the whole district been
west of I-95, I'd be in Congress right now. But the point is the voting, the election board system went down with no explanation.
Then it came back up and then suddenly, hey, we've got a winner.
So I'm in favor of going back to paper ballots.
Me too.
So if everything.
But if what Patrick Byrne is saying is correct,
that the Chinese have an expert for every county in America.
Which they probably do.
Well, when you have 1.5 billion people,
you got enough people to manage 3,000 counties
in another country.
So you're assigned, hey, your job is to know everything
about Indian River County, Florida.
Right.
Every politician, every school board member,
every county commissioner, every state senator,
the police chief, everything, you know everything.
We are being conquered incrementally.
So when I say that the Democratic Party is the US
franchise or the Communist Party of China, I mean it.
They own it.
They own the Democratic Party.
There's no logical explanation for members of Congress
going to South America to defend a gang member.
to defend a gang member.
You can't write this off and say, well, boy, the Democrats are radical and crazy.
No, they're paid for.
They're paid for.
And they're working towards the collapse of the country.
Doc, one of our staff members said to me the other day,
and I've not checked this out to verify
it, but he felt certain about it.
There's a particular stretch of the coast north of Vero Beach that's really high income,
like mega high income. He was told by a realtor that practically every mansion in that neighborhood
is now owned by a Chinese person. Wow. Now, when he said it, you know what popped in my
mind? The dream you had? The vision. It was a vision. Sitting on the riverbank that at that very river. Right. The very
same river. And I saw the screen go like this. And everybody on
the boats, and the jet skis, and the houses everything. It just
went from Americans to Chinese.
And then all the people that were doing landscaping, they became Americans.
They were the Americans.
Yes.
And I've heard the Holy Spirit say, Rick, it'll be just this subtle.
And that's what Patrick Byrne is saying.
They've got a plan to take over the country without firing a shot, right?
And they'll fire shot if they have to but their plan is not to
All right, I'm gonna finish it I
Have this fascination about Russians and bears I
Keep searching. I like is there a crazier Video out there than the last one I showed of a Russian playing with a bear? Yes there is. I found another one.
Watch this. What is this man doing? And I don't know what he's feeding the bear.
A honey stick or something. That's what it looks like. The bear likes it. And so.
A bear's happy.
He likes it better than.
Eating that man.
That's right.
So.
He licks the man.
Well, thank you for this treat, my friend.
And so I'll eat you later.
So.
Doc.
What is with the Russians?
I don't know, but.
They like bears.
I just, I wouldn't get that close to a bear for nothing not if you paid me
So you'd have to pay me a lot. So oh well, I'll keep searching if you have a bear stories a bear video

To spend the rest of my life building a Bible school for children. So that by the time they're 18, 20 years old, they have the equivalent of several college degrees in the Word of God.
They'll be strong, mighty warriors for Jesus Christ.
I want to go after the children of the socialists.
I want the socialists 20 years from now to say,
what happened to our kids?
Just like we're saying now about our kids.
They all became Christians.
Yeah, they were attending our Bible school online.
Amen.
So why don't you become part of this great work
and give an offering of $500.

Good morning, welcome to Morning Manor.
We're glad that you're here with us. Joining brothers
and sisters from around the world. We gather every Monday through Friday at faith and values
calm and the meeting hours 8am. There's a live class here. There are people here in
the chat room talking with each other. Brothers and sisters, usually from about 20 nations.
So we invite you to join us.
If you can't, we understand you're watching or listening later in the day.
Somewhere it's morning.
Okay, so we're glad to have you with us.
We are starting the 12th chapter of the Book of Romans today, and we're going to tackle
verses one through eight. So let's invite
the precious Holy Spirit. Without Him we can do nothing. Almighty God, our Heavenly Father,
Father, we come to you in the glorious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We have
come to be fed with your Word, to be strengthened with your word.
We ask that the Holy Spirit would lead this Bible study and illuminate our hearts and minds,
and grant to us greater knowledge and revelation of our King and Savior Jesus Christ and His glorious, wonderful Kingdom that shall have no end.
In His name, Jesus, we pray, amen.
Amen. And we are privileged to have you here with us on a Tuesday morning,
eight o'clock hour here on the East Coast of the US.
No matter where you are around the world, and by the way,
we have people from all over the world that join us from the Philippines,
South Korea, Russia, Malaysia, Brazil.
Those are just the ones that are on today.
And so every day we have the opportunity to connect with the global audience,
both live as we are in the eight o'clock hour and then later throughout the day as we
reshare this content and we pray it's a blessing to you.
We're starting Romans chapter 12 today.
I'm reading the first eight
verses. I'm reading from the King James one of my favorite passages and one of the few,
one of the ones I memorized early on are the first two verses here which I'm going to read.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that you present your bodies
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that you present your bodies, a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable under God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind
that you may prove what is that good, acceptable,
and perfect will of God.
For I say, through the grace given unto me,
to every man that is among you not to think
of himself more highly than he ought to think but to think soberly according as
God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in
one body and all members have not the same office. So we being many are one body in
Christ and every one members of one another. Having then gifts differing
according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy
according to the proportion of faith, or ministry, let us wait on our ministering
or he that teacheth on teaching, or he that exhorteth on exh our ministering or he that teacheth on teaching or he
that exhorteth on exhortation or he that giveth let him do it with simplicity he
that ruleeth with diligence he that showeth mercy with cheerfulness God
bless the reading of his word today. Praise God. Roman notes.
Okay.
Romans 12, 1.
I beseech you therefore, brethren,
by the mercies of God
that ye present your bodies as a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, which is
your reasonable service.
The acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. The opening, I beseech you, brethren.
This is a pivot in Paul's letter.
He's shifting from theology theology from doctrine to practice.
He's laid out in the first 11 chapters of Romans his doctrine and now he's he's he's
changing the focus on how we live this faith and he's urging us to respond to God's mercy with wholehearted devotion.
He calls for an active commitment to live out the gospel.
Right. He gives us command. Present your bodies a living sacrifice.
That's not just your physical body, that's your entire being, body, mind and soul.
That we are to present ourselves, all of us,
to God in a continuous act of worship.
Does that mean you go through the entire day with your hands lifted up, worshipping the
Lord?
No, that's not what that means.
It means that the way you live each day, the words that come out of your mouth, the thoughts
that are in your mind, the attitudes that are in your heart are worshiping God.
You can't curse somebody, call them names, and be worshiping God at the same time.
Yes. Poison and spring water can't come out of the same faucet.
So what's flowing in your mouth is your faucet.
What's coming out of that faucet?
Are you constantly denigrating somebody, constantly sowing discord among the brethren, slandering
people? denigrating somebody, constantly sowing discord among the brethren, slandering people.
You can't be in an act of worship with your body if you're doing these things contrary to the word
of God and grieving the Holy Spirit and listening to demonic spirits moving around in your emotional
realm telling you that they are the Holy Spirit.
There are people who think that they are hearing the Holy Spirit,
but what they're hearing are demonic spirits that live in their
soul-ish area,
in their emotions, in their feelings. And these demonic
spirits whisper to them,
I'm the Holy Spirit, say this about that person.
Right.
And they think they're hearing God,
and they're hearing demons.
They're familiar spirits.
What is a familiar spirit?
It's a demon that's been around you so long,
you become familiar with it.
Amen, there you go.
You're at home with it.
Yes, it's sleeping on the couch. You know, it's there all the
time. It's, it's, it's eating stuff out your refrigerator.
It's it's everywhere.
It's become familiar. In other words, they're just another part of your daily routine.
I've never heard it explained that way, Doc, but now I got a visual. They're drinking milk
right out of the cart and everything. That's how at home they are with you. That's right.
That's how at home they are with you. That's right. That's a familiar spirit
So in the new covenant this living sacrifice
Involves daily surrender in the old covenant. The daily sacrifice was a dead sheep
That was a sacrifice that That thing died. It bled out. In the New Covenant, we're called to have a living sacrifice. And that means daily surrender to the Holy Spirit. Surrendering every part of your being and that includes your mouth.
A lot of people don't want to surrender their mouth to the Lord.
Lord, I'll serve you, but I own my mouth.
I'll say what I want to say. I'll curse people if I want to. I'll slander people if I want
to. No, you haven't surrendered to God if that's your attitude. I remember, an Anglican priest.
I heard him speak one time here in Vero Beach.
And he described when he was a Catholic priest at one time, before he was filled with the
Holy Spirit.
And he said he had a foul mouth. And this is a priest.
And he said, one time he, the Lord said, give me your mouth.
And he said, I said to the Lord, you don't want my mouth.
But the Holy Spirit was dealing with this man saying, surrender your mouth to me.
Right.
You're serving me in other ways, but your mouth is not surrendered.
See, that's part of this living sacrifice. of God. That anchors the call to sacrifice
in this boundless grace and compassion
that God has shown to us.
We are to live by the mercies of God.
God's mercy, His mercies, plural. His faithfulness to the
covenant. His irrevocable gifts. His universal mercy and compassion towards us. All of these are part of God's mercies.
And that should motivate us to this sacrificial living
that Paul is challenging all believers to embrace.
It's having a heart of gratitude
Of starting every day with gratitude that you're alive
One member of our team brandon, they always said hey we get to live another day
I woke up alive
I woke up alive
We get to live another day.
It's a humble attitude of gratefulness, thankfulness.
The mercies of God encompass salvation.
And that salvation, that indwelling of the Holy Spirit,
see the Holy Spirit is the promise
that God made to Abraham.
The promise that the Holy Spirit is dwelling inside of us.
What does the Holy Spirit see and hear every day? Does he close his
eyes and cover his ears? I mean, it is disgraceful what comes out of the mouths of people who claim to be Christians.
But this, in doing the Holy Spirit, is meant to transform us
and to empower us to live sacrificially for God rather than a legal obligation. Yes.
The grace that saves inspires a willing offering, not a forced duty,
making daily sacrifice a joyful response.
As we learn to trust in God's plan and His grace,
in my private prayer time this morning, I was just dwelling on the, I think for me,
Doc, it was just the self-awareness of how much I have come over years.
It wasn't instant, it was gradual,
to trust God.
And what I was saying to my father this morning,
I have believed you for a long time,
but now I trust your plan.
I think I can relate to that too.
I? Go ahead, Doc. No, I was going to say. I look back and think of times where I thought I trusted him.
But now I think the difference for me now,
Rick, is I rest in him.
Yes.
Whereas in the past,
it was an active trust where I had to say, I trust you, I choose it.
Now I just say, I just lean back into sort of like
the two guys in the choir.
So you had on the back row, you had the guy
that had been in the choir for 30 years
and then you had the new guy that was in the row below him
and everything and he was just learning to sing and everything.
And so he was trying to hit all the notes
and the guy in back there said,
listen, when you start singing,
just lean back into me and listen to me sing.
And so he did that.
And then he sang along with the man in the back.
And so that's where I'm at now with the Lord
is I'm just leaning back into him and saying,
okay, Lord, sing through me.
And that's my attitude.
I think there are stages in our spiritual growth.
And if we use the analogy of being in a river, there's a current in
a river. In the beginning, we're swimming upstream and we're saying, God, I believe
you. I believe you. Right? You're mine. You're saying, I believe you, but you're swimming upstream.
And then later in life as you mature,
you turn around and you're swimming downstream.
And you're saying, you know, this is a lot easier.
I believe you, I trust you.
And you're swimming downstream.
And then you get to another stage,
you flip over on your back and you float.
Yeah. And you say, you know what, I'm not even going to swim.
I'm just going to let you carry me.
Yeah.
And in this verse here, 12 Warner talks about a living sacrifice is that now I've learned
over the years to quit trying to crawl off the altar.
Just stay on the altar. That's the problem with the living sacrifice, as a tendency to want to get off the altar.
Because there are stages of death of self. Your self does not die instantly.
It takes a lot of sacrificing. To kill off self.
I was also the earliest morning, Doc, just thinking about Apostle Paul who wrote this letter. And I was just, I was trying to imagine just, you know,
in my mind, trying as I was praying to the Lord,
just trying to think about Paul,
the challenges he had to trust the plan,
how difficult his life was, how painful it was,
how lonely it was.
And for me, you know, when I think about Paul, I think after that third shipwreck, he might have started asking questions, am I doing something wrong?
Right.
I haven't been a single shipwreck yet. Paul was in three of them,
was constantly being stoned and everything. And in your flesh, you might ask the question,
am I doing something wrong? Am I out of tune? But no, that wasn't the case at all.
It was a living sacrifice. Yes.
Yes. So last night when I went to bed, I watch or listen to various media content for relaxation before I go to sleep. It's about the only private time I get just to not be my mind
actively engaged in something,
doing something.
And lately, what's been going on is God himself, the Holy Spirit,
has been curating my content consumption.
And what I mean by that, I have an iPad,
and when I get in bed, I put my earpieces in, and I turn on the iPad, and I go to...
Usually I'm going...
I'm finding a lot of old stuff in YouTube.
That's about the only thing I use YouTube for now, just to find old stuff.
And anyhow, there was...
What happens is there's a video or an audio.
It's just sitting there waiting on me.
It's like, I didn't select that.
How did that get there?
And that was, that's what happened last night.
And it, it really spoke to me about God's plan.
It was about, Hey, if you're wondering about things that have
happened in your life, maybe it was God's plan. All right, that's the basis of this message, okay?
Even the really unpleasant, difficult things. And so I went to sleep with that playing in my ear.
I woke up, you know, maybe 45 minutes later,
and I realized I had fallen asleep,
you know, I didn't hear the entire audio.
And so I thought, well, I'm gonna rewind it
and go back and listen to it again.
Doc, it wasn't there.
Huh.
It was another video.
So I thought, well, I'll just go back a page,
it'll be there.
It wasn't there.
I know it was there cause I listened to it.
But the message, the message in that sermon was,
trust God's plan, even when it's painful,
even when it's unpleasant,
even when it's beyond your comprehension to understand it.
Trust. And so that's where I'm at now in my life. I've just come to trust him.
I've believed him for a long time and I thought I was trusting him. But now I do trust him. And like you, Doc, I'm resting in it. It's like, you know what, my father really, two things, my father is,
my father is God. Okay. My father is perfect. My father loves me. And my father has a perfect plan for me.
Once you get this down inside of you,
life becomes a lot easier.
And you can accept some of the painful things.
Because there will be pain. I guarantee you there'll be pain.
Yes.
So I was this morning.
Yeah. So doc, this morning, as I was thinking about that, asking the Lord in prayer,
where did that, where did that message come from last night?
Can't find it.
Um, but then I was, uh, as I was praying and meditating, I was thinking about
apostle Paul and the pain and the loneliness that he felt.
I just had a picture of him, like, kind of sitting, leaning up against a tree in the
wilderness by himself on his way to another town to be beat up by the Jews. And I thought how that and I thought he was
in this situation until the day he died. And the best part of his life in his latter years
was the two years that he had in a rented house. Yes. But he was a he was a prisoner.
Yes. But he was a prisoner.
Yes.
He was under house arrest.
They allowed him to rent a house, but he was under arrest.
And those were the best two years of his life in the latter days.
It was almost as if the Lord said, you know what, you need a two-year break.
I might put you in jail.
But the jail's going gonna be a private house.
Right.
And what did he do during those two years?
He taught the word of God.
He produced content.
To everybody who would come to his house.
He produced content, wrote letters.
Right.
Yes.
And we're reading one right now.
Wrote whole books of the Bible.
We're reading one of those letters right now.
That's right.
Out of his pain came these letters.
Here's the point I'm making,
Paul would have never written these kinds of letters
without the pain.
The pain produced gain. The gain was the part of the plan I don't like, but I've learned to accept it
because it's part of the Father's plan. And he's like, I know, I know what it, what I have to do to get the results out of you
that I desire.
And this is going to hurt a little, but we're going to do it.
But see, once you know your father loves you, and he's got a good plan, then you just say,
go ahead, let's get it done.
Go for it.
I love you, Papa.
Yes.
So Paul speaks of a sacrifice, holy acceptable to God.
Emphasizing that God desires a life that's set apart, that's pure, that's pleasing to him,
reflecting his character.
That holiness involves living distinctly
from the world's values.
Because God's mercy cleanses
and consecrates believers for his service.
And so this call to purity encourages
believers to pursue a life that honors
God aligned with his will, his perfect plan.
Yes.
See, again, we go back to wave God, God's if he says, Hey, my plan for you.
There's going to be a lot of unpleasant things in it, but you're going to come out shining
like a gold coin.
Are you willing to do it? It's going to take 20 years.
See, are you willing to trust the plan?
You're a reasonable service. You ain't doing nothing special for God. It's your service. Don't get, don't
have an attitude of, hey, look, Lord, look, look at all that I have done for you. No,
that's your reasonable service. Right. And that word reasonable there in the Greek really translates into
probably the closest word we have in English is logical. Okay. In other words,
I've laid this doctrine out for 10, 11 chapters here. I beseech you
therefore offer your bodies as living sacrifices. This is the logical conclusion
based on what I've taught you so far. This is where it should lead you, where all my doctrine
should lead you. Where? To worship God Almighty with every ounce, every molecule of your being,
to offer yourself a living sacrifice. That's the minimum.
That's the logical conclusion you have to come to here.
So what would be the reaction on your employer's face
if you went to your employer at the end of the week
and said, well, I want you to know I worked 40 hours
Employers come yeah, and what's your reason that's your reasonable service. That's your reasonable service
That's what this means
You don't get a cookie Because he because you did what you're supposed to do.
It's your reasonable service.
Verse 2.
And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable
and perfect will of God."
So this command to be not conformed to this world is a very strong urgent message to all believers to reject
the patterns, the values of the world that is opposed to God's truth, the gospel and
the Lord Jesus Christ, which are all three the same.
The truth, the gospel in Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the truth.
The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ.
We are not to be conformed to this world's views.
Again, this goes back to what I was saying
before we started the lesson
and the pre lesson
conversation for those of you who are members of of
Faith and values and you're here before we begin the lesson and I doc and I are free just to chat with you I was talking about the consumption of news
And
This is for me. God spoke to me and said I don't want you to spend any more time studying,
analyzing, and commenting on world news.
And I don't want you feeding it to people.
Not at the level we've been doing it, you know, eight hours a day.
I mean, it's possible not to, you know, have some thoughts about what's going on in the world, but not
eight hours a day.
Why?
Because the values of the world are getting inside you.
Yes.
You're devoting eight hours a day to studying the filth of the world.
The world is opposed to Christ.
Why don't you spend eight hours studying Christ?
I don't know if I would, I don't think I'd, I'd listen to a podcast that was just about Jesus.
Really?
So, unsaved reprobates are more appealing to you
than Jesus.
You want those hours and hours and hours of podcasts about reprobates
reprobates talking about reprobates
That's the worst
You have a reprobate
hosting a podcast
calling other reprobates names
For clicks just for. Just for clicks.
Just to get clicks so that they get more ad revenue.
I'm done.
I've exited that world.
I don't want it anymore.
True news became something it was never meant to be.
And I heard the Lord and I'm walking away from it.
And people go, well, what if all of your donors quit? What if?
So what?
If I'm obeying God, so what?
Right. The only thing that matters is I'm obeying God, so what? Right. The only thing that matters is I'm obeying God.
Well what if all of your podcast viewers go to somebody else?
So what?
Obedience is the key thing.
Are you obedient to the Lord?
He says, be not conformed to this world.
I'm telling you, if you spend hours and hours and hours and hours every day watching videos
on social media, you are being conformed to this world even though you are telling yourself
you hate the world.
Because you can't turn it off.
People watch a lot of podcasts for the sake of hating what they're talking
about, right?
Just to get the anger going.
They got to stay jacked up on this anger.
Isn't that the truth?
Had to be angry about something at something, you know, whatever it is. It's gloom and doom porn. It's news porn. So so this imperative to avoid conformity with the world.
Right and it's interesting here Rick, in the Greek both that word conformed and transformed,
both are in the passive sense.
What does that mean? That means it's something that you just allow them to happen.
OK?
So don't be passively conformed to this world.
In other words, just don't let the world happen to you.
But be passively transformed.
How?
By the renewing of your mind.
So even though it's in the passive sense, it's active in the sense
that we have to allow ourselves to be transformed. Just like we're allowing ourselves to be conformed
to the world, if we continue to abide by the world, listen to the world, bathe in the world, shower
with the world, everything we're doing, we're conforming to the world. Conforming means to fit the mold of the world.
Yes. But then Paul says, but be passively transformed. In other words,
you can't even do the transformation yourself. It's out of your ability,
but you can allow the Holy Spirit to do it by the renewing of your mind.
And how does the Holy Spirit renew your mind?
Through the Word of God.
Through the Word.
So the people that are coming to this podcast,
Morning Manna, they have actively chosen
to not conform to the world's values,
but to have their minds renewed by the Holy Spirit.
Yes.
That's what makes you different from 99.999999% of the human race.
And different from the overwhelming majority of so-called Christians out there.
Yes. The only word that they get is the few scriptures they hear read on
Sunday morning. That's their word consumption. So, the world represents society's pressures,
represents society's pressures, sinful desires
that clash with God's standards.
This warning to avoid conformity with the world
is telling us not to, what Doc just said,
not to adopt the world mindset.
Because what that does is that it prioritizes yourself
over God.
Yes, there you go. And that temptation can subtly infiltrate our lives.
And I'm telling you this thing about news podcasts.
Man, you start talking to people who call themselves Christians and challenge them to
give it up and watch the resistance.
What is this about?
They don't want to give it up. But by resisting the worldly influences, believers honor the mercies of God.
I was thinking of Smith Wigglesworth, a preacher in England back in the early 1900s.
I think Doc, he died somewhere in the 1940s,
if I'm correct.
I think so too.
But you can find this video on YouTube,
Lester Sumrall, Sumrall,
obviously not Sumrall, Lester Sumrall.
He said that when he was a young man, he was living in Great Britain and he met Smith Wigglesworth. Smith Wigglesworth became his Sumrall, I think he was a student, I think he was attending a Bible college.
Wigglesworth invited Sumrall, I believe, rode a train,
got over to the neighborhood where Wigglesworth lived,
and walked up the steps, knocked on the door.
The door opened, there stands the famous Smith Wigglesworth,
the preacher. And Wigglesworth gave him an up and down look
and said, what is that under your arm?
Yes.
And some are all said, it's the morning newspaper.
And Wigglesworth said, you will not enter my house
with that devil's sheet under your arm.
Throw it away. He would not allow him to bring the newspaper into his house.
He said, it's full of lies. I do not allow lies inside my house.
This is back in the early 1900s, and he's saying the newspaper's full of lies.
They're still full of lies.
Yes.
The biggest difference is instead of there
just being two or three sources of news,
now there's two or 3,000 sources of news.
I'll tell them why.
Literally hundreds of thousands now.
But the point is Wigglesworth made a decision in his life.
The only thing that's gonna be allowed in my home
is the word of God.
So be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
That's a radical ongoing interchange that reshapes our thoughts to reflect God's thoughts,
His character.
And it changes the words that come out of our mouth.
The renewing of your mind,
it means the centrality of your thought is grounded in Christ.
Christ is the center of your thoughts.
Yes.
Not a side thought, he is the center of your thoughts.
Not your feelings, not your emotions,
not your wishes, your desires.
Christ, he's everything.
He's in the center of your thoughts.
That ye may prove what is that good and acceptable
and perfect will of God.
This transformation by the word produces,
it enables you to discern and live out God's perfect will
with clarity.
That's right.
You're not confused.
You know what his will is.
Right.
You know, and isn't that one of the most common questions
we get asked, Rick, as ministers of the gospel,
is how can I know the will of God?
How can I know what God is saying to me,
what his direction is for my life? I know the will of God? How can I know what God is saying to me, what His direction is for my life?
I know as a pastor for years and then serving in ministry in various capacities, that question
comes up on a regular basis.
Well, Paul tells you how you can know.
It's really very simple.
This is just one of several passages in the New Testament where we can know the will of God. There's no question about it. That through
our exposure to the Holy Spirit, our transformation by the Holy Spirit and
by the Word of God, we can know the will of God in our life. Paul says, prove it.
But what it means is you can fully understand it.
There'd be no question about it. You can know what is the good will of God, what
is the perfect will of God, what is the acceptable will of God. So you can, as a
believer, you can know it. You can know what God's will is for your life.
God put his will in a book that starts with Genesis
and ends with Revelation.
That's right.
The Holy Spirit will not say anything to you
that is contrary to the words that are in that book.
Is there a lot more to know?
Oh, yes.
But in the Bible, it's what God sovereignly in His wisdom said, this is
what you need to know. It's all in the book. There's an answer to every problem is in the book. So a renewed mind approves of God's will.
As we were talking earlier,
a person with a renewed mind says,
I'm just gonna lean back and float in this water.
Because I trust, I trust God to hold me up.
Because his will is good and it's acceptable.
And it's perfect.
Why would I want something else?
Just accept His will, it's good, it's pleasing, it's complete.
It's a threefold description of God's will.
Good, acceptable, and perfect.
And that assures us that God's plan is trustworthy, it's fulfilling, and it's aligned with His
glory.
Amen.
Verse 3, for I say through the grace given unto me to every man that is among you not
to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly according as
God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think.
Okay.
Where I grew up in the country, people said, don't get too big for your britches.
Yeah.
Okay.
That meant don't think too much of yourself
Um
Or you know
Don't forget your raisins, you know meaning
Don't forget where you came from how you were raised. Okay
So he's he's telling us to to to reject pride
Embrace humility So, Paul's telling us to reject pride, embrace humility, don't have self, don't have inflated self-esteem.
Now, there's nothing wrong with healthy self-esteem.
If you know your identity in Christ, you will have a healthy self-esteem.
Healthy self-esteem is to know who you are in Christ.
There's nothing wrong with that, that's good.
But don't have an inflated ego.
Think soberly.
A balanced, realistic self-assessment.
And you avoid two extremes, arrogance and false humility.
Both are rooted in pride.
There are people that have false humility.
Just be humble. So sober thinking comes with a renewed mind. It's just a normal byproduct.
Yes. You don't have to work at it. A renewed mind will have sober thinking.
Right. As opposed to when we're focused on ourselves, where we're drunk on ourselves.
Mm-hmm.
Paul says, don't get drunk on yourselves. Don't think of yourself as a hottie, but be sober.
Sober in your humility, in your submission to the Lord, to the Holy Spirit in your life.
Why?
Because he's given to every believer
the measure of faith to walk in this.
Everybody has the same thing.
They start off with the same thing, that measure of faith.
You know, there's something I've observed.
The two things that trip up people,
and it's not necessarily, it's not 100% gender-based,
but primarily I've seen one in one gender,
one in another gender.
For men, they get tripped up by logic.
Their logic, they stumble over their logic.
They're so precise in their thinking that there's no room for faith, no room for the
Holy Spirit unless the Holy Spirit is logical.
And then for women, it's emotions, feelings.
They get tripped up over their emotions and their feelings.
But those are the two dangers for men and women,
logic and emotions.
But we are to have a balanced mindset.
So, this verse that we just read, verse 3, for I say, through the grace that was given
me to everyone who is among you, not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to
think, but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
Yes.
Through the grace given unto me.
I think he's Paul speaking of his authority to exhort believers.
Yeah, I believe he's speaking from his apostolic authority
right here, I'm telling you, as an apostle. But he doesn't come out and say it because he's
humble himself. He says, by the grace given to me, I'm telling you, this is what you ought to do.
In other words, I'm giving you a very clear instruction here.
Don't miss what I'm trying to say here. Yes, he spoke as an apostle without putting his
apostle hat on. Right. To every man that is among you. So that speaks of universal scope.
That's man is male and female.
So whenever you read man,
that's not speaking of the male gender.
Man is the species and in that species are male and female.
And we're all made in God's image, male and female, made in God's image male and female made in God's image
So to every human that is among you
So this applies to all believers
According as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith
So faith is a gift from God. Everybody, when you come into the church as a believer, first of all you have to
be given some faith to believe. Think about that. Yes. In order to be saved you
have to believe the gospel. So God has to give you enough
faith to believe the gospel. And then when you're brought into the church as a new believer,
you're given a measure of faith to grow in the faith. Here's your starter dough. Now you work to make it bigger. Everybody gets
the same measure. What you do with it, that's your business. Some people have great faith.
Well they didn't start with great faith. They started with the same amount of faith you got when you got saved.
It's a measure of faith.
But the parables teach us that it's our responsibility to develop the gifts that God gives us,
and faith is a gift.
Right.
Verse four.
I like your analogy on the bread, on the sourdough bread.
The one I've always leaned on is the water pump.
My dad used to install water pumps when I was a kid,
and he always had to prime the pump to get it going.
And different pumps required different amounts of water, but each
required some measure, if you will, of water, depending on whether it was a hand pump or electric
pump or whatever it was. But every pump had to be primed and was primed to get the water out. You
needed water to get the water out because it was the water that allowed you to build up pressure within the pump
in order to draw the water out.
That's how I've always thought of the measure of faith.
Not everyone's given one cup of faith,
but they're giving a measure of faith based on their pump,
if you will, on the device that they occupy.
And so different people are gonna require
different measures of faith to get started,
but we all require it.
That's right.
Verse four, for as we have many members in one body,
and all members have not the same office,
meaning the same office, meaning the same function. The body has many members.
Okay, look at your body.
You got fingers, you got toes, you got eyes, you got ears, but they each have a separate
function.
You don't hear with your fingers.
You don't eat through your ears.
Well, I don't know.
I've seen Doc eat.
Each member has a specific function.
Even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don't have the same function.
So it's an illustration that the church, the body of Christ, is a single unified
body. The body of Jesus is not a disconnected blob of pieces. It's a unified body. Yes. With one head. He's the head. And we're all interconnected.
Despite our diversity.
You know, if you can't accept a Christian in another denomination,
how do you claim to be in the body of Christ?
If they believe in Christ, if they confess Christ, they are in the body.
So all members have not the same office.
So there's a diversity of gifts, of functions,
of responsibilities in the church.
The church is, you can't have everybody in the church
as a pastor, everybody is an evangelist,
everybody is a prophet, you can't have that.
Everybody has a prophet. You can't have that. Everybody has a function. And that's what keeps the body together and moving in the right direction. The head is in charge. The
head is Christ. So this is a verse that celebrates the diversity of gifts and roles and functions in the church.
That each believer has a unique God-given function.
Right.
There are things in the church I'm just not good at.
And there are things you're not good at, but you're not called to do it.
And when you try to do it, you're going to make a mess.
Just stay in your lane.
Find your groove and stay in that lane.
Find your groove and groove.
Just groove in it.
Yeah.
Find your groove and go.
Because that's where God has placed you.
Just do the thing that He's called you to do.
Use the gifts, the calling, use the skills, the giftings that He's given you.
Because you'll please God.
The head of the body, Christ will be very happy.
And I mean, imagine if your fingers, your hands tried to act as feet and toes.
You'd be upside down, right?
The head would be on the ground.
Say no, no, no, no, that's not the way it works.
So find your role, find your purpose and just go with it and
God will give you a measure of faith to do that work and
to build that gift, enlarge it, increase it for the
benefit of others and for the glory of God. Verse 5, so we being many are one
body in Christ and every one members one of another.
are of one body in Christ and individually we are members of one another. So there's diversity and there's unity. We're all diverse and yet we're all one.
We're bound together as a single spiritual entity called the Church of God, Christ Church.
In the head of this body is the Lord Jesus Christ.
We form one body and we are unified by the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
That's what we have in common.
That's our common denominator.
We were all sinners saved by grace.
Brought into his church.
The church is his body
And so we have to embrace each other cherish each other
Bless each other
Even though the others are different, but we are joined to Christ
Each of us were joined to Christ and that means we are joined to Christ. Each of us, we're joined to Christ and that means we are joined together.
Again, thinking of your own human physical body,
what if your ears said,
I don't wanna be part of the head?
What are you talking about?
I wanna go my own way.
I don't need a brain. Yeah, want to go my own way. I don't need a brain.
Yeah, I want to go my own way.
You just want to be ears?
Yeah, I just want to be ears.
What are you going to be attached to?
Nothing.
I'll just be an ear.
See how ridiculous that is?
But you have Christians who are saying, I don't want to be part of any other Christians.
I want nothing to do. I'm my own person.
Right. I like to tell people who want to be lone rangers,
they even the lone ranger had Tonto.
That's right.
We can't function as islands. We need one another in the body of Christ.
We've got to have one another in the body of Christ.
A finger cannot exist on its own.
A toe cannot exist on its own.
A nose cannot exist on its own.
It's got to be attached to a body.
You know, Doc, that's why extreme preparism,
extreme survivalism,
you know, an attitude,
oh, I'm gonna buy a piece of land.
I'm going up in the mountains, build a house,
and I'm gonna live up there by myself.
Maybe with my family.
I don't want anything to do with anybody else.
I'm staying up there.
I'm gonna survive.
I'm not gonna, see, that's not godly
because you're separating yourself from other believers.
You are designed for fellowship.
You're designed by the maker for fellowship.
That's one of the reasons driving us in this new,
this remodeling of this ministry,
where we desire to organize in each city and town the
people that belong to this ministry so that you would get to know each other personally.
Even if it's only a meeting once a month.
So that there's fellowship.
You can't live alone.
It's the presence of Christ that binds the church.
He said, where two or three are gathered there, am I in the midst of them?
He didn't say where there's one, where there's two or three.
Right.
And that's what makes it a living organism.
That's right.
And the diversity of members gives us the diversity
of gifts that are necessary for the body
to function properly.
In your own body, your kidneys have a job. They do a good job at
generally they do a good job of doing their one thing. Try living without your kidneys
for a day. You probably have a bad day, but they're part of the body. They're necessary.
You don't see them much, but they're working all the time. Same thing in the body, the body of Christ.
There's people with different gifts, different abilities,
granted by God's grace alone,
that are necessary to the whole functioning of the body.
And just like a kidney can't really survive
outside the human body by itself,
even though it's a worthy organ and does a great job,
it needs to be part of the body to function properly. It's one criticism I have of the modern
church model where people put all of the responsibility on the pastor
of the responsibility on the pastor, and maybe, you know, a supporting team of ministers. Okay, you do it all. And often pastors foster that attitude. We need to be teaching every believer. You have a duty, you have a responsibility, you have a role, you have functions, and the pastor should be there to encourage each member to live out their role in the body of Christ. But we set this up, we set up the system that says the
church meets on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. for 90 minutes and then it ends
the meeting and everybody goes their separate way. And do your own thing. Do
your own thing. Then we come back again next week and we we say that we're the body. Right. No, that's not the way it works.
But fixing it, that's beyond my ability. That's the head's ability. He has a plan. So, what
we're seeing here in verse five is that God has an intentional design. He created a diverse yet unified body
where each member's role contributes
to God's overall redemptive plan for mankind.
We are to be functioning and working together
in one accord with the head, the Lord Jesus Christ.
For what purpose?
He's trying to get mankind saved.
That's what it's all about.
It's not about winning elections.
It's not about getting more conservative judges.
It's about getting humans ready to meet the judge of the universe.
And so many Christians, their mindset all day long has nothing to do with the kingdom.
They're asking God to bless their activities.
Their activities aren't connected to the kingdom.
Right.
Ask the Lord every day what He desires you to do for His plan.
Your life will change over time.
It will change and his plan and your plan will merge because
your plan will become his plan meaning you will submit to his plan and when
you're pursuing your plan you're actually pursuing God's plan.
That's when life changes for you.
Instead of constantly asking God to endorse your plan that has nothing to do with his plan.
Romans 12, 6, having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether
prophecy let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith.
I just saw what time it is.
Hurry up here and finish these verses. So again, having then gifts, there's a rich variety of gifts,
spiritual gifts that are bestowed on believers, each uniquely tailored to God's purpose. These These gifts include prophecy, teaching, serving.
Okay, I'm talking, we're exercising our teaching gifts.
I'm not good at other stuff.
This comes easy to me,
because this is the gift he gave me.
You have a gift. See, don't try to become
a teacher of the Word if you've not been given the gift of teaching. Find the gift that you've
been given and go get in that groove and groove it. Just go with it.
And I'll say this to people too, and this is just from my experience as a believer and as a minister of the gospel over decades,
is that some gifts are apparent when you first become a believer.
Some seem to stand out, if you will.
For some, and it's obvious that there are some that have unique spiritual gifts right from the very beginning.
Other gifts appear to be developed over a period of time.
Whereas one person, you know, for instance, I'll give you an example, Rick.
In Bible college, my best friend and roommate, man, he could preach.
I mean, he could exhort the Word. I mean, man, he could preach. I mean, he could exhort the word.
I mean, really, he was good.
I mean, and he'd only been a believer maybe for two years
by the time he came to Bible college,
but there was an apparent gifting that he had
in exhorting in the word of God, preaching the word of God.
For me, that took a while to develop and to build on, okay?
But for him, it just came naturally and to be developed.
The problem is he's not serving God today.
He's not serving, so that gift has now remained dormant
for a good 20 plus years.
And so those gifts, even though they're put out
there, the gifts don't save. The gifts themselves don't transform. It's the word
that transforms. We simply lean into the gifts, if you will, that God has granted
us. Some are given at the front end, some are developed over years of maturity and an understanding
the word to get unlocked at different levels, I guess the best way to put it.
That's the way I have come to understand it, Rick.
But the calling on that man is still there.
Yes, absolutely.
He's not walking in the calling and he has ignored the gift.
So according to the grace that is given to us, what this means is that the spiritual gifts are not earned.
Right.
But they are freely bestowed by God according to his favor.
Some years ago, 15 years ago, 20, I don't know when it was sometime, there was a movement
in evangelical churches to impart spiritual gifts to other people. There were impartation meetings
held all over the country. Oh, I remember those. Remember that? Come to my meeting in Columbus, Ohio,
and I'm going to impart my gifts to you. And generally when they said that, they were talking
about the gifts over in 1 Corinthians 12. They weren't mentioning these gifts here necessarily.
They were mentioning those 12 super gifts. Right? But they're not yours to give away.
That's right. They're the Holy Spirit's gifts.
But anyhow, it was a fad. Right. That's all it was. It was a spiritual fad
to get people into meeting.
Sell books and cassette tapes.
The grace-given nature of gifts connects us to God's mercy. Again, they are not based on our works, not based on our human achievement.
It's based on grace.
God has, through His grace, bestowed gifts upon you for His purposes.
For His purposes.
We could do a whole teaching on people who have misused the gifts for their purposes.
Right.
So he said, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith.
So it's talking about the responsible use of the gift of prophecy. The gift of prophecy is not saying, hmm,
I see you standing in front of a door and you're wearing a blue shirt. That's not the gift of
prophecy. That's mind reading. Right. That's sorcery. Or trickery at the very base level.
Prophecy is foretelling of the coming of Christ.
Prophets, there are prophets in the church today, yes, but not the ones that are running
around calling themselves prophets.
Yes. themselves prophets yes in the new covenant prophecy is foretelling the coming of christ
you're prophesying what christ has already told us
these prophets have a new word from god as though we're going to add a chapter to the
Bible.
And in some cases, they believe that.
Yes.
So, the proportion of faith is a guardrail. And that says the prophets speak only what aligns with their God-given conviction, to
avoid exaggeration or presumption.
All of us have learned that one the hard way.
Isn't that true
Yes
We get finish this up verse 7 or ministry let us wait on our ministering or he that teacheth on teaching
So
He continues with the gifts
in verse 7, ministry, service, teaching.
He's highlighting the diverse roles God assigns within the body of Christ,
that each is essential to the growth in the mission of the church and the individual believers. These gifts underscore the different ways that believers contribute to the growth
of the kingdom. And that we are to embrace, each of us have unique callings and we need to embrace the unique callings.
And I'm openly transparent about this.
I founded a church and had the title pastor, but I'm not a pastor.
I'm an evangelist.
I'm a teacher.
My primary gift is teaching.
My secondary gift is evangelism.
I would agree with that.
But in the modern American church world and IRS tax code,
you're forced to do something that's really not God's perfect will.
And that's the system that's been set up in the religious world.
When I say I'm not a pastor, I don't feel called to sit here all day long and don't,
oh, I say this.
What I feel called to do is to get out into the field
and be an evangelist, be a teacher.
I'll put it that way in a positive way, okay?
I'm not somebody to sit in the same place all day long, every day.
That's a different role. That's not me. I'm an evangelist. I feel frustrated. That's why I'm
frustrated about true news. I should have been out there. I want to go back to Africa. I want to go
back to the islands. I want to go back to South America. I want to go back to Central America.
I haven't been to these countries for years.
Why?
Because I'm reading the news every day.
Right.
Every time I went to those countries,
I saw the power of God moving in my ministry.
I'm so frustrated that I've not done this.
I'm like, OK.
I'm ending this.
I am going back out in the field to be an evangelist and Bible teacher.
Because that's really my calling.
This is my giftings.
Yes.
He says, ministry, let us wait on our ministering.
This is the gift of service.
To minister to somebody, to provide spiritual service to somebody.
Maybe sometimes physical service to them, too.
I think of this as like benevolence, that ministry of benevolence that certain people
have.
Certain people have gifts in that.
I'm challenged in that area. I'll be honest.
That's a tough one for me.
Me too.
But there are some that, man,
they just have the heart to give.
And I say run with it. Run.
Run with it. We need you.
The Greek word for minister here is diakonia.
Where is where we get deacon.
Right, service. That's what deacons were. They weren't church government authorities.
They were servants that allowed the men and women of God who were breaking the word,
bread of life, the word, gave them the freedom to do that,
while the deacons provided the direct ministry to the congregation. Yes
What do the Apostles say in the book of Acts
They had so many widows that they were feeding every day something that's the one estimate was they had three thousand
People they were feeding every day, right?
Matt do you know how much work you're doing
to feed 3,000 people every day?
Let me tell you, in the Philippines,
we were feeding sometimes 20 to 50 kids a week,
three times a week.
That was work.
I mean, that was real work.
Yes.
Preparing the food, getting the kids organized,
getting all that, and then feeding the kids, and then cleaning up after the kids.
So what if you had 3,000?
Yeah, it's hard for me to comprehend. First of all, how they managed to feed them. Just the logistics and the materials alone. 3,000 people.
So in the book of Acts...
When I have problems getting rice and chicken together
Yeah, so in the book of Acts the Apostle said hey, we're spending all of our time feeding people
We should be doing what what did they say they should be doing? What did the Apostle say we should be doing the prayer and
The word
Not studying the word, teaching the word.
For many years, I thought they said,
we should be praying and studying the word of God.
Doc, that's what I had in my head
because that's what I was taught.
And then just a few years ago,
I actually studied what they said. Wait a minute, they didn't say we should spend all day praying
and studying the Word. They said we ought to be in prayer and teaching the Word, preaching the Word.
teaching the word, preaching the word.
So what he's saying here is, you know, if he mentions the gift of ministry, he said,
let us wait on our ministry.
So he's urging believers with the gift of service
to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly
to meeting others needs with diligence and love to wait.
To wait, that doesn't mean sit down on a sofa
and look at your watch, I'm waiting.
What does a waiter do?
What does a waitress do?
Serves.
Serves.
Sir, a waiter waits. A waitress waits. Waits on what?
Waits for your order. Waits for your food to be prepared, to be delivered to you.
Whatever you need is there to tend to you. He that teacheth on teaching. So he's challenging
those gifted in teaching to devote themselves fully to instructing others in God's truth.
That's what I'm doing. I just made a decision a couple of weeks ago. I have retired as a news analyst. I am a full-time teacher.
I'm just doing what the Bible says I should do.
So these gifts are empowered by God's grace.
are empowered by God's grace.
Back, you know, verse six, grace that is given to us.
And his grace flows from his mercy.
And that equips each believer for their role. This all fits together.
One more verse, verse eight, or he that exhorteth on exhortation, he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity. He that
ruleeth with diligence, he that showeth mercy with cheerfulness. So he enumerates various gifts, exhortation, giving, leadership, mercy.
All these are showcasing this diverse, varied ways that believers serve Christ in the church. These gifts, they reflect, it's a multifaceted nature of God's grace.
God has provided everything the church needs.
And you can't create a new gift.
You go with God's gifts. He says, this is what my church needs.
By the way, it's not limited to those 12 spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 12.
There are actually five different places in the New Testament that talks about gifts and callings.
And if you lay them all out, you have about 20 of them all together.
So there's a lot of different colleagues and gifts.
That in itself would make a good teaching, wouldn't it?
Yes.
So exhortation, or exhorting, what does that mean?
It means to encourage and admonish others
with wisdom and love for the purpose of strengthening their faith and their
resolve to serve Christ. Exhorting does it means to admonish but with wisdom
and love. Exhortation can be exercised through teaching or preaching or counseling. See, I'm not a counselor.
Look, if you come to me and sit down with me,
I'm gonna say, just knock it off and obey God.
Rick would just say, buckle up, buttercup.
I don't know.
Life's hard, get over, life's hard.
It's harder if you're stupid.
I don't have I'm not called to be a counselor.
And evangelist doesn't counsel.
And evangelist goes into town hits them between the eyes of the two by four and quickly.
And leaves the pastor to deal with what he just said,
which is supposed to be the truth.
The evangelist is like the bounty hunter
that shows up in town, grabs the bad guy and moves on.
But the pastor is the sheriff that has to stick around
every day and so.
That's right.
Different roles, different purposes.
The gift of giving. Talking about generosity. He says to be done with simplicity.
Don't have ulterior motives. Don't make a big show of your giving. Just do it. Just do it. Just
give. Truly generous people know what I'm talking about. You just give. Probably because
you trust God's word. You trust His plan. You know you're supposed to give. That's
your gift. I would say that I know I have the gift of giving. It's so easy for me. I don't have
to work at it. That's something I can flow in. But all of these come from God and they're imparted to us through His grace, their gifts.
And they are for the purpose of exalting Christ,
serving others, and building the Church of God.
Beyond that, you're adding to it.
It is to bring glory to God.
Okay, hey, we're way over.
Wow, it's 936.
I'm sorry.
Eight verses is really too much for one lesson.
I won't do that again.
But they all fit together.
They all fit together.
That's why I said that.
Yeah, these eight verses go together as a single unit.
And so it's hard to break it up.
Yeah.
Okay, let's wrap it up and leave.
All right.
