Meanwhile, World War III fighting and unrest have broken out in Syria and Georgia. Furthermore, a former Israeli defense minister said Netanyahu is committing war crimes against the Palestinians. This is just Monday. Welcome to True News for December 2nd, 2024. Let's begin
Starting point is 00:01:48 our analysis and commentary of today's top news by looking at this RT article. And before we get into this, I need to tell our audience, look, we were late getting started today, almost 30 minutes. Here's why. We have a number of our key production people out today sick. There's some kind of a nasty flu going around this part of Florida. And a number of our top people needed for production are out today. So that has, we've got, we've had to pull other people in from non-production jobs to run the studio today. Now, second thing is, I made a decision today. Like, why am I doing this to get this ready by 12 noon. We were doing it because for a year we were on WWCR, International Shortwave, at 12 noon. And we stopped that last month. We don't have to do
Starting point is 00:02:55 this at 12 noon anymore. I'll be honest with you, this is not my complaining day. I'm just doing a little bit of upfront talk with our audience. So to get true news done at 12 noon, it is a backbreaker. And I mean, for me, like today, I got up at 3.50 a.m. to start working on Morning Man. I'm not complaining. I love it. I work hard. 3.50 a.m. to start working on Morning Man. I'm not complaining. I love it. I work hard. I'm not complaining. Okay?
Starting point is 00:03:29 I got my first podcast done. You and I, Doc, we have our first podcast done by 9 a.m. Right. Okay? A lot of people are just showing up at work at 9. We've already done our first podcast. We're moving on to the second podcast. We're moving on to the second podcast. And so I have to drive like an idiot as fast as I can from my home to Vero Beach. It's about a 35-minute drive. And we are working at breakneck speed. I mean, up until folks,
Starting point is 00:04:10 this is not an exaggeration. Many times I'm getting in my seat 30 seconds before 12 o'clock. Okay. And it's that close. So it puts a lot of pressure on our staff to, you know, we complete morning manna at 9 and then we're live with true news at 12. Production staff can't go to lunch on time. There's a lot of pressure. And so today I said, you know what? Why are we doing this, Doc? Why are we doing this when we don't have to? We're a podcast.
Starting point is 00:04:49 We're not a broadcast. We're a podcast. And so here's the announcement I'm making. Starting tomorrow, that'd be Tuesday, starting tomorrow, we will go live at 3 p.m. Eastern. Okay? I hope that's okay with you, but folks, it's okay with me. And I've got to take some pressure off myself and everybody else that tries to keep up with me in producing the program by 12 noon. I wish you would see how much work is done at the speed that we're moving. Yes. Okay. It is an amazing spectacle to behold.
Starting point is 00:05:28 We blaze through a lot of international news sites, and we're building elements and clipping videos, and we're working right up to the very last second. And these guys stay with me. But today, we had key people out sick. Don't know if they're going to be back tomorrow. So starting tomorrow, our new live time will be 3 p.m. Eastern. That's for true news. Morning Manor for right now will continue at 8 a.m. Eastern. I might even move that one one hour. Don't know yet. That would be after the first of the year. So there's some housecleaning matters. We could hire more people, but that would increase our payroll.
Starting point is 00:06:12 And in order to have a bigger payroll, we have to have more donors. Right. Okay? And so I'll just leave that with you. If you're not a donor, you need to think about it. You need to think about how hard we are working to get this information to you. Can you help out? Can you become a donor? Can you do something every month? I'm not asking the people who already give. I'm not asking you to give more. You already give plenty. I'm asking those who don't give anything
Starting point is 00:06:41 to give something. That would help us, and then we could hire more people. Right now, we absolutely do not have the funds to hire any more people. And we're running, I mean, as thin a margin as we can run, okay? That's why today we couldn't start on time. We just didn't have the people here. All right, let's get to the news. Now we'll go have the people here. All right, let's get to the news. Now we'll go to the RT story. One other thing I got while I'm thinking about it, American Reserves,
Starting point is 00:07:12 for those of you in Canada, you already know you have a postal strike. So American Reserves, having a difficult time getting your products to you in Canada because your postal system is on strike. I think most of you know it. So just keep that in mind. We want you to place orders. But understand that if your postal system isn't delivering the mail, we can't get the products to you. Right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:41 Now, we can start with the news. RT. Trump is not safe says putin u.s president-elect donald trump is not safe russian president valeriy putin says the russian president made the remarks last thursday at a press conference in kazakhstan following a two-day Yes. used to battle against Trump, including repeated assassination attempts. This is Putin talking. See, they're watching this around the world going, you know, they tried twice to kill Trump during the campaign. And he called it uncivilized. Go ahead, Doc.
Starting point is 00:08:44 He said, in my opinion, he's not safe now. Noting that various incidents have happened in U.S. history, Russia's president praised Donald Trump as an experienced and intelligent politician, saying he hopes the president-elect is cautious and understands this. Now, I thought Russia was the bad guy, and they were evil, and they only wanted our demise, Rick. Yeah. Now, Putin realizes who runs this country. It's not the American people. It's a ruling class. Whatever name you want to put on it, choose your name.
Starting point is 00:09:21 It's okay with me. I would call them Satanists. They are forces of darkness. They're not just, they're beyond evil. They're wicked. And they're in control of this country. Donald Trump defeated them again. And he's at risk.
Starting point is 00:09:44 We all believe that. And so what Putin is saying is, America, you are in a very dangerous time. And Putin is saying this in knowledge for himself in Russia. He's inside, you can just surmise, Doc, that in the Kremlin, Putin and his political and military advisors are saying, we need to be on guard 24-7. Yes. That they're going to kill Trump and go to war with us before January 20th. That's what he's saying at least the russians understand that they're they're at war with the deep state over here and we are too yes we the american people who don't want to be ruled by this demonic satanic dark force are at war with them, and they are the same people who are at war with Russia.
Starting point is 00:10:46 They are at war with the human race because they're not of the human race. They're of another kind. So I just, I found it astonishing, Doc, over the weekend, the holiday weekend that the Russian president is telling a security conference in Kazakhstan, I'm not sure Trump's going to survive to January. That's what he sees telling these world leaders. We have to be prepared that Trump will be killed before January 20th. And this is at a security conference. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Where they're talking about World War III. I really want to just blast through the politics stuff and get to World War III because it is popping out everywhere today. I'm going to give you the politics stuff as fast as I can. Look, folks, politics won't kill you, but weapons of mass destruction will. I want to get to World War III as fast as I can. Look, folks, politics won't kill you, but weapons of mass destruction will. I want to get to World War III as fast as I can. Everybody's interested in politics
Starting point is 00:11:53 and what's going on here in the country, but folks, it's not going to kill you. The people ruling the politics in this country are going to get you killed if we don't stop them.
Starting point is 00:12:05 So, PBS, The politics in this country are going to get you killed if we don't stop them. Okay. So, PBS. Trump names loyalist Kash Patel as FBI director. Look at this. Look at this headline. To help with efforts to upend law enforcement. Doc, what does upend mean? Is it to tear it up, root it up?
Starting point is 00:12:27 Yeah, that's exactly what he's going to do. Rip it up. Just rip it up. That's what PBS is afraid of. No, that's not really what PBS is afraid of. No, they're afraid they're going to uproot PBS. Let's read the article, and then I'll tell you what they're afraid of. So President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Kash Patel to serve as FBI director, turning to
Starting point is 00:12:50 a fierce ally to what PBS is saying to upend America's premier law enforcement agency and rid the government of perceived conspirators. It's the latest bombshell that President Trump has thrown at the Washington establishment and a test for how far Senate Republicans will go in confirming his nominees. President Trump took to Truth Social to make the announcement, and he says, I'm proud to announce that Kash Patel will serve as the next director of the FBI. Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and American first fighter. He spent his career exposing corruption, defending justice, and protecting the American people. I don't know how far you want to go. Well, one thing I want to point out, Mr. Trump said he played a pivotal role in uncovering the Russia hoax.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Right. We would not know all the details. If it wasn't. We knew it was a hoax, but we didn't have the details. It was Kash Patel that relentlessly investigated and brought out the facts, the details that proved the conspiracy to destabilize the first Trump administration. He also is the one who exposed Hillary Clinton's fingerprints on the dossier. It was Kash Patel behind the scenes. He was one digging and investigating and bringing to light the truth of what the deep state was doing to Donald Trump. The fact that he is going to run the FBI. Well, I want to show you in the PBS article.
Starting point is 00:14:34 It says the selection. Now, again, this is PBS. Action is in keeping with Trump's view that the government's law enforcement and intelligence agencies require a radical transformation and his stated desire for retribution against supposed adversaries. that shadowed his administration and led to his indictment, is moving to place atop the FBI and Justice Department close allies he believes will protect rather than scrutinize him. Notice that how PBS is framing this? Patel's past proposals, if carried out, would lead to convulsive changes for the agency not only with investigating violations of federal law but also protecting the country from terrorist attacks foreign espionage and other threats in other words cash patel is going to destroy the fbi and allow terrorists to roam in this country let's see i thought that was the biden administration that that opened up the borders and allowed millions of people to come in 20 million
Starting point is 00:15:51 people where was the fbi on that going along with it um during an interview with steve bannon last december patel said he and others will go out and find the conspirators, not just in government, but in the media. Do we have this quote? We do. All right, let's watch. This is from a year ago. Maybe. Okay, this is number four. Yes, we're going to come after the people in the media who lied about American citizens, who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections. We're going to come after you, whether it's criminally or civilly, we'll figure that out. But yeah, we're putting you all on notice. And Steve, this is why they hate us. This is why we're tyrannical. This is why we're
Starting point is 00:16:36 dictators. That's the reason, Doc, PBS is worried. PBS is one of the conspirators. PBS participated in the conspiracy to take down Donald Trump. Two of the things that he said, he said in the past that he would shut down the Hoover Building and get every agent out of that building and send them out into the field and start investigating crimes. He also said he'd turn the building into a museum dedicated to the deep state. Yes. You want to know why they're worried? Because Kash Patel
Starting point is 00:17:13 is going to investigate and root out corruption in the FBI. Now, FBI Director Wray still has a few years left on his term. He was appointed by Donald Trump. It was another one of Mr. Trump's bad appointments in his first administration.
Starting point is 00:17:38 I like the fact that Donald Trump in the second administration is not making really bad choices. He's putting people in place. He learned his lesson. He learned his lesson. He appointed establishment figures to make his administration look solid, and they turned out to be snakes that bit him. He's not doing it this time. He's putting people in office to go after these people
Starting point is 00:18:07 because he knows if he doesn't go after them, they'll destroy him in the second term. He's not going to give them a chance, Doc. So they committed crimes. There's no doubt in my mind, they committed crimes against Donald Trump during the four years he was in the White House and for the last four years as they tried to put him in prison. They committed crimes. There was a conspiracy to destroy him. We will now have an FBI director
Starting point is 00:18:35 who will investigate the investigators. Now, can Donald Trump fire Ray on the very first day? Yes. He can. Mr. Ray has already said he's not leaving. Now, if the man had any wisdom, the moment he read the Truth Social post announcing the new FBI director, that would be, you know, Doc, if I posted on Twitter, the new co-host of True News is, would you say, that's a hint.
Starting point is 00:19:08 That might be a hint there, Rick. And would you just say, I'm not leaving. I'm not leaving. So, Director Wray has sent out the word he's not leaving. Well, you're going to get fired. I mean, Trump's already named your replacement. He's not going to back down. But Ray has this defiant attitude.
Starting point is 00:19:32 I'll defy you. I'll force you to fire. Okay, so you think Donald Trump cares that he's got to fire you? He's actually probably looking forward to it. Yeah, this season of The Apprentice is really going to be interesting, Rick. I mean, Jack Smith got out of town before Trump fired him. Yes. Ray's going to stay there and get fired.
Starting point is 00:19:56 But there's going to be a lot of FBI agents clapping and cheering when Ray gets fired. Yes. That's what you want to see. And the ones who are angry and upset with Ray's firing, those are the ones you want to fire. Those are the ones you want to get in there and root them out and get them out of the Bureau. Okay, so you all know Joe Biden pardoned his son, Hunter Biden.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Any big shock? Not really. It was just a question of when and who was going to do it. So NBC News, Biden pardons his son, Hunter. NBC said Joe Biden pardoned his son Sunday night, a reversal for the president who repeatedly said he would not use his executive authority to pardon his son or commute his sentence. Now, this is what Mr. Biden said. I believe in the justice system, but as I have wrestled with this, I also believe raw politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice.
Starting point is 00:21:09 And once I made this decision this weekend, there was no sense in delaying it further. I hope Americans will understand why a father and a president would come to this decision. Now, Doc, I'll tell you why he made the decision this weekend. Because Donald Trump said, I'm putting Kash Patel in the FBI. Kash Patel is going to lock up the entire Biden
Starting point is 00:21:36 family. That's why. And Hunter's key to that. Yes. So, you can expect more pardons coming. Oh, I'm sure. James Biden. Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Everybody in the Biden family that committed crimes by taking money from China and Ukraine, all of them will get pardons. All of them, Doc. That's my prediction. It has to do with Kash patel going in the fbi so it sent panic into the white house yes so the president issued a full and unconditional pardon for any offenses hunter biden has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1st, 2014 through December 1st, 2024. Wait a minute.
Starting point is 00:22:28 Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a minute. He was only convicted of a gun charge and tax evasion. Right. That's it. That's it. This goes back to 2014. Back during his days in Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:22:46 So Biden made the pardon retroactive. Of course he did. To Burisma Energy. Yes. And Chinese energy money. So can you pardon somebody for crimes that they've never been indicted for? Well, apparently you can i thought may have committed it says may have committed i thought a presidential pardon was only
Starting point is 00:23:12 that you can only pardon somebody for something they were convicted of i guess they're changing the definition so is joe biden telling us that his son committed crimes from 2014 on? Oh, there are crimes he committed, committed or may have committed. So he has both in there. Committed or may have committed. And thought about.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Or taken part in. So what Joe Biden did was he just Biden-proofed Cash Patel. Okay, Cash, what are you going to do now? Because I'm going to pardon everybody you plan to arrest. Doc, he's going to pardon more people on his last day than Bill Clinton ever dreamed about.
Starting point is 00:24:02 Well, I can see that that happening do you remember the last day of bill clinton's presidency yes there was he pardoned so many criminals it was a big one i i'm trying to remember the stockbroker yeah uh the one that was hiding over in uh switzerland i can't think of his last name mark yes something so but yes uh that was just one. That was Mark Rich. Mark Rich. He was hiding in Switzerland. That's right. Because he was rich.
Starting point is 00:24:31 Well, how many times did Joe or the White House say, they'll never pardon Hunter Biden? That won't happen. Innumerable times. But we have it on tape here. We have it on tape? Yes, we do. With the White House itself. Wait a minute.
Starting point is 00:24:48 You have tape. Well, you know, virtual tape. So the number of times that Corrine Pierre, whatever her name is, said from the press pulpit there, Nope, we're not going to pardon Hunter Biden. Joe Biden's not going to do that. No, sorry, Bob. Don't you believe that for a second. And she was lying and she knew she was lying. Let's watch this.
Starting point is 00:25:14 Does the president have any intention of pardoning him? We've been asked that question multiple times. Our answer stands, which is no. Make sure that that is not going to change over the next six months. The president's saying no. It's still a no. It's which is no. We'll make sure that that is not going to change over the next six months. The president's saying it's still a no. It's still a no. It's still a no.
Starting point is 00:25:30 It will be a no. It is a no. And I don't have anything else to add. Will he pardon his son? No. I've answered this question before. It was asked of me not too long ago, a couple of weeks ago. And I was very clear.
Starting point is 00:25:40 And I said no. Is there a possibility that the president would end up pardoning his son? No. I I said no. Possibility that the president would end up pardoning his son. No. I just said no. But I didn't know Kash Patel was going to become the FBI director. Then it became, yeah, better do that real quick. Doc, I bet there's a stack of pardons on Joe Biden's desk. It's growing taller every hour of people frantically calling the White House.
Starting point is 00:26:08 I committed crimes on your behalf. Please pardon me before Kash Patel gets to me. Well, let's talk about people that I believe committed crimes. How about Jake Sullivan, our national security advisor? Okay. Let's go back to CNN. And this is 2017. Yes. Okay. And here is little Jake Sullivan saying that Donald Trump was basically a Russian asset.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Russian stooge. Yes. Let's watch. Last week, CNN reported that the FBI is still, still investigating what's being described as this odd link between a computer server, computer servers at a Russian bank called Alpha Bank, and a server that dealt with the Trump organization, although that server was outside a Trump tower, wasn't a Trump tower. The FBI has refused all comment.
Starting point is 00:27:17 The Trump organization, the Alpha Bank, they've denied any contact. The allegation originally, as you well remember, came up during the presidential campaign in an article in Slate magazine. It was widely dismissed at the time, at the time when you were working for the Clinton campaign. You issued a statement calling it a secret hotline between Trump and Russia and asking that it be investigated. How surprised were you to hear last week that this investigation is still ongoing? I wasn't surprised because what we learned during the campaign was that very serious computer science experts,
Starting point is 00:27:55 people who work closely with the United States government, had uncovered this secret hotline between the Alpha Bank, the Russian bank, and the Trump organization. Now, of course, we didn't know for sure if, in fact, that were the case, but we knew that it should be investigated. And we knew that given how serious these computer scientists were, they weren't just making up crackpot theories. So it wasn't surprising to learn that even as of last week, the FBI is still looking into this. And do you have any idea what they're looking for?
Starting point is 00:28:20 I don't. Of course, I don't have a line into the FBI on this. But what I know based on public reporting is that there is very unusual server activity between this Russian bank and the Trump organization, which suggests contact that took place over the course of the campaign. Getting answers to what the nature of that contact was and why they were going to lengths to hide it, to encrypt it, is really important, and the American people deserve answers. He needs a pardon. Right after James Biden, I would say Jake Sullivan is really at the top of the list of Biden flunkies who need a pardon because Kash Patel is going to go after him. Jake Sullivan knew in 2017, sitting there with Wolf Blitzer, he knew he was lying. He knew that the Russian coup was a complete and total hoax. Because they created the hoax. Not only did he know it was a hoax, he knew they created the
Starting point is 00:29:19 hoax. See, it's two different things. There's one thing to know something's a hoax. But there's something else to know that you created the hoax. And then you can say, well, I don't really know what the FBI is investigating in that. The FBI. Oh, you mean the corrupt FBI, the one that Kash Patel is going to clean up? Now you know why they're terrified? This is why Hunter Biden was pardoned last night because of kash patel that's what triggered it so it's going to where i see a ripple effect from this and jake sullivan is one of the slimiest creatures reptiles inside the biden administration
Starting point is 00:30:01 he's a reptile. He's slimy. I'm telling you, the guy is slimy. A lot of people in Gaza died because of him. A lot of people in Ukraine have died because of him. He's got blood dripping all over him. He's a despicable person. Totally despicable. He needs to repent and believe on the name of Jesus Christ and beg for forgiveness of what he did in power.
Starting point is 00:30:28 So we saw that clip from 2017 with Wolf Blitzer. Later on, and I believe this was in 2020, that Jake Sullivan was asked, were you involved in any way in influence peddling for the Biden campaign? Jake Sullivan himself? Yeah. Because he was on the flights to Ukraine. That's right. And so we have this clip.
Starting point is 00:30:51 This is him speaking at a White House press briefing. Watch this. Ukraine, I wanted to give you the opportunity to respond to a former White House stenographer who this month outed you as an anonymous senior administration official who briefed reporters on Air Force Two en route to Ukraine in 2014 He says that you spoke about giving aid to the Ukrainian national gas industry just days after the first or the second son had Secretly joined the board of a Ukrainian gas company. He says he considers you part of a corrupt influence
Starting point is 00:31:22 peddling conspiracy. He wants to testify to a Delaware grand jury about it. Do you have a response to that? And were you part of a corrupt influence peddling operation involving the Biden family in Ukraine or any other country? No. That's it. Just no. No. Let's ask FBI Director Kash Patel. Doc, Jake Sullivan is going to get a pardon.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Joe Biden's going to sign them so fast. There's going to be so many pardons. Everybody who could testify about what went down over the last eight years, you really take it back further, going back to the Obama days, because Vice President Joe Biden was corrupt during the Obama days. We never suspected that Joe Biden was smart enough to be corrupt.
Starting point is 00:32:22 I mean, he was running a multi-million dollar influence peddling operation, and nobody thought he was smart enough to do it. I mean, you just looked at Joe Biden and said, you know, he's not that bright. What we now know is that they were running a criminal operation. You have to, you know, to be a criminal at that level, you got to be smart. Oh, I don't deny that. I don't deny his intelligence at the time. I really don't. Well, I just never suspected. I just never thought of Joe Biden as somebody capable of doing that kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:32:59 You never perceived Joe Biden as being a threat, really. Right. That's what i mean you know oh he's from double wear you know right you know but he says stupid things every once in a while but you know he's joe but for decades he was running criminal operations and now he's at risk that the whole thing is exposed i still think cash patel is going to go ahead with the investigation but they won't be able to get anybody to testify because they'll all have pardons. Right. They don't want Kash Patel to do to them what they did to Donald Trump. That's what they're afraid of.
Starting point is 00:33:42 Relentless investigations. So they're going to try, they're going to block it with massive number of just, Doc, I think you'll be able to just go in, there's just blank pardons in there signed by Biden. Just go in and put your name on one. I think that's how it's going to go. Including crimes I may have committed? May have. New York Post will switch to another topic, immigration. New York Post, New York City is now home to 58,000 criminal migrants, including more than 1,000 gang members. That's it? Only 58,000? Well, that's the ones that they
Starting point is 00:34:22 can count, Rick. There are over 58,000 illegal immigrants who are convicted felons or facing criminal charges roaming around the streets of New York City. And close to 670,000 across the country. And that's from new data that the New York Post is showing. Of the 759,218 illegal border crossers living in the Big Apple, listen to that, 800,000 illegals are in New York City alone, Rick. That's the ones that they're aware of as of November 17th. A jaw-dropping 58,000-plus, 7.7% were either previously convicted of crimes
Starting point is 00:35:00 or had criminal charges pending, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency. Of those 58,000 plus with rap sheets, over 1,000, nearly 2%, are suspected or known gang members, according to the agency. You know, this is obviously on purpose, Rick. Of course it is. It is to destroy our country. And who wants to destroy us from within? And I'll name the country, China. Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:29 This is a Chinese operation. Joe Biden got paid tens of millions of dollars from China. He opened up the border. Maria Bartiromo, Fox Business News, a figure that confirmed what the Border Patrol agent, Doc, I forget his name, the one I interviewed a couple months ago, J.J. Farrell? J.J. Farrell? Yes. All right. He quoted a number of how many Chinese agents were in the country.
Starting point is 00:36:03 Well, I heard a congressman today confirm that number. And I want to say 78,000 Chinese nationals, and the congressman said most of them are young, fighting-age Chinese men, have come across the border in the past year. 78,000. Confirms what I said in my congressional campaign, which nobody paid attention to.
Starting point is 00:36:37 One news organization made a little crack, a little wise crack about, Rick Wild says that there's, he wants to round up chinese men that's what they you know the way they put it like i'm just going to go out and round up chinese people going to every noodle store yeah yeah i'm going all the all the carryout places no they didn't understand maybe they did what i was talking i said we have to assume that there's at least 100,000 Chinese soldiers coming across the border every year. In 10 years, you have 1.2 million, well, 1 million of 100,000 a year.
Starting point is 00:37:14 I think I was saying something like 10,000 a month is coming over. And if that was all, if that was all, that would be a big problem. But how long has this been going on now i'd say from the days of bill clinton who was another another chinese dupe another one who who was bought off by the chinese a lot of you you're too young to even remember the chinese scandals so it was j.j correll that we had j.j correll correll i said for real j.j correll nbc news democratic senators urge biden to try to limit trump's ability to use the u.s military domestically well he's not doing law enforcement he's going to do a roundup of illegal immigrants right non-citizens yes now i predicted this many many months ago before the election
Starting point is 00:38:06 and i'm going to restate it donald trump will declare a national emergency yes i'm not going to say all out martial law but we will go into a national emergency, a very serious national emergency, one that he could use to arrest politicians who stand in his way of rounding up illegal immigrants. You've got Democratic mayors and governors who are saying, we will resist. We will not participate, we will not help federal officers round up illegal immigrants. Don't worry, they've got a rule for that. FBI Director Kash Patel will come into those city halls and arrest mayors under a national emergency order. Doc, it's coming.
Starting point is 00:39:08 I'm telling you it's coming. And I think he'll do it day one. I do too. So things are going to change on January 20th. And if the Democrats start civil unrest in the country over the roundup and deportation of illegals, Donald Trump will take it to the next level, which is martial law. And at least half of the nation will completely support him and say, get it done. Do whatever you got to do. Round up the hundreds of thousands of hardened criminals, murderers, rapists, child killers.
Starting point is 00:39:45 Do whatever you got to do. If you got to bring in the troops, do it. If you have to have shootouts in apartment buildings, do it. Get them out of the country. The Democrats are going to try to stop it.
Starting point is 00:39:57 The media is going to try to stop it. Donald Trump is going to declare a very severe national emergency and the people in the media and the people in politics who are helping the violent illegals, they are going to be rounded up and detained. Doc, the public doesn't comprehend what we're about to go into. It's going to be severe.
Starting point is 00:40:27 And the people who have committed the crimes, the real criminals here are the people that brought the criminals in. That's right. So what if you get, so what if Trump goes after the people who deliberately brought the criminals in? Doesn't that make you an accomplice to crimes? Absolutely. And there's numerous NGOs that operate, especially along the southern border, that
Starting point is 00:40:50 has been providing aid and comfort to non-citizens. They're already talking about military tribunals for the active duty and retired generals who were involved in the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle. Military tribunals, court-martial. There is no limit to what they're going to do to clean out this corruption. It's going to be an extremely turbulent four years. So get ready for it. It's not going to be stable.
Starting point is 00:41:23 It's going to be turbulent. So go back to this article from NBC News. I'll tell you who it is. Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal. They're both members of the Armed Services Committee. They sent a letter to Joe Biden and Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon urging Mr. Biden to sign a directive that would prevent U.S. troops from being used to round up illegals.
Starting point is 00:41:53 Well, guess what? Donald Trump will rescind it on January 20th. That's right. But they know that. And Ms. Warren said she's aware of it, but she wants to bring about publicity. In other words, she wants to stir up trouble. She wants to make it, you're not going to hurt Donald Trump on this. You're only going to help him.
Starting point is 00:42:17 He's going to get stronger. Here we are, Doc, a month after their defeat, and they still are dumb. They still don't have them figured out why they were defeated. And they're going to continue doing the dumb things that got them defeated. And trying to stop Donald Trump from rounding up criminals is really dumb. Because you know what that makes you look like? A criminal, an accomplice to criminals. Yes.
Starting point is 00:42:50 Somebody who provides comfort to criminals. Aid and comfort to criminals. And you know what that's going to be declared under the Trump administration? Treason. Treason. I think there are going to be gallows. You want to know why I think there's going to be gallows? And there are going to be gallows in Washington, D.C.
Starting point is 00:43:14 You know why? Because Mr. Trump said he's going to activate the Alien Sedition Act of 1797. And in that act, which is still in the books, it provides for gallows to be built for the hanging of traitors. Don't rule it out. Doc, we're about to go into something we've never seen
Starting point is 00:43:43 in this country. And they've pushed it this far. They've pushed it to the point where either we keep going the direction they were taking us and we break, we collapse, or we have to go this direction and stop the mess, clean it up, stop the hemorrhaging, and do something about it. Next one, BBC. Trump threatens 100% tariff on BRICS Nation if they try to replace the dollar. BBC said President-elect Trump has threatened to impose 100% tariffs on the block of nine nations if they were to create a rival to the U.S. dollar. This is, I'll show you, Doc will read his post on Truth Social.
Starting point is 00:44:35 Yes. So the idea that the BRICS countries are trying to move away from the dollar while we stand by and watch is over. We require a commitment from these countries that they will neither create a new BRICS currency nor back any other currency to replace the mighty U.S. dollar, or they will face 100% tariffs and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. economy. They can go find another sucker.
Starting point is 00:44:59 There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the U.S. dollar in international trade, and any country that tries should wave goodbye to America. Okay. Now, politically, this looks wonderful. Inside the USA. Looks wonderful. The super MAGA crowd will just eat it up. Right. You go, Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:45:26 You stick it in their face. You make them back down. Politically, oh, you could ride that horse and become popular. Realistically, it's only going to force nations to do the very thing you're trying to stop. Mr. Trump is using bullying on the global scale. Why are they building the BRICS alliance? Because they're fed up with American politicians pushing people around in the world. So what's going to come out of this, Doc?
Starting point is 00:46:06 One of two things. It's either going to put the brakes on the growth of BRICS and some of the smaller nations. What do you got, like 30 some countries, little countries that said, hey, we want to join? And a bunch in the pipeline, too. So what Mr. Trump did, he just drew a hard line in the sand.
Starting point is 00:46:29 Hard, deep line. What he just told all those little nations, you go ahead with your membership in BRICS, we cut you off. You don't trade with us, you don't ship anything here, and you get no foreign aid, your persona non grata.
Starting point is 00:46:45 You don't exist. Now, that hard tactic is either going to stunt the growth of BRICS, where a lot of those little countries withdraw their membership. Hey, you know, we had a second thought about this. We like the dollar. Yeah, we're going to wait. We'll wait. We're going to put a five-year pause here, a four-year pause on this, okay, until Mr. Trump's out of the White House. Four-year pause. It's either going to do that or it's going to accelerate the polarization of the world.
Starting point is 00:47:19 I don't know which way it's going to go. We've been saying for years there's going to be two world orders. Mr. Trump is either, his decision is, his threat is either going to break up the second new world order or he's going to accelerate it. Right. I don't know which way it's going to go. We're going to have to wait and see. Because I know China and Russia and I don't know about India. I don't know about Brazil it's going to go. We're going to have to wait and see. Because I know China and Russia, and I don't know about India. I don't know about Brazil.
Starting point is 00:47:48 They're big countries. They've got to do trading with the United States. Yes, we're the number one trading partner with India. So he just told India, you get nothing. Nothing. Don't play around with this. Yes, you're out. Is India going to withdraw from BRICS?
Starting point is 00:48:05 It's very possible, Doc, he just demolished BRICS. But it's also possible, if it goes the other way, that BRICS is going to demolish the dollar. I don't know which way it's going to go. It's
Starting point is 00:48:21 big, bad, and hairy. What he just did was um really unprecedented to tell half the world take a hike do it our way or the highway okay but that's why people are fed up with it it's that kind of mentality that the rest of the world doesn't like. But we Americans don't get it. We just think, hey, do you see how tough we were? We made them back down.
Starting point is 00:48:53 You keep treating people like that, they will eventually find a way to break your teeth. So, it might just postpone it for a while. Maybe to the 2030s, Doc. Maybe to the 2030s.
Starting point is 00:49:09 That'd be the right window. You see what's going on here? Okay. London Telegraph. Trump appoints his son-in-law, Jared Kushner's father, ambassador to France. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:49:26 I just got a stomach ache. That just made my breakfast come up in my mouth. There we go again. The Kushners are back. Yeah. Mr. Trump, he's bringing the Kushners back into the White House. I'll let you read it because my stomach's queasy right now. Well, Donald Trump has appointed Charles Kushner, his son-in-law's father, to be the next U.S. ambassador to France.
Starting point is 00:49:56 The president-elect pardoned Mr. Kushner, who in 2006 served a prison sentence for tax evasion, witnessed tampering and making illegal campaign donations at the end of his first administration. Now, former Governor Chris Christie described Mr. Kushner as one of the most loathsome, disgusting criminals he ever prosecuted as a U.S. attorney. Announcing the appointment, Mr. Trump said the property developer was a tremendous business leader, philanthropist, and dealmaker who will be a strong advocate representing our country and its interests. Quoting from the London Telegraph here, Donald Trump referenced Mr. Kushner's son, Jared, his former White House advisor, but did not
Starting point is 00:50:35 mention that he's married to his daughter, Ivanka. Congratulations to Charlie, his wonderful wife, Sarah, and their four children, 14 grandchildren. He wrote on True Social, he added, his son, Jared, worked closely with me in the White House, in particular in Operation Warp Speed, criminal justice reform, and, of course, the Abraham Accords. Now, just to kind of reference you in here, Mr. Kushner pleaded guilty to 16 counts of tax evasion, one count of retaliating against a federal witness, and another count of lying to the FEC back in 2005. He was sentenced to 24 months in prison. Part of the case involved the real estate developer hiring a prostitute to seduce his
Starting point is 00:51:17 brother-in-law, William Shoulder, who was cooperating with the federal investigation against him. Darrell Bock He entrapped his brother-in-law. That's right. So Charles Kushner filmed the encounter and then sent the footage to Schulder's wife, Esther, his sister. That's why Christie said he's one of the dirtiest, slimiest criminals he ever investigated. And so the Schuld shoulders ended up taking the video
Starting point is 00:51:45 to the feds and that's what prompted the conviction and arrest. Okay, so what does the MAGA crowd think about that? They don't even know about it. 99.9% of the
Starting point is 00:52:00 MAGA crowd doesn't even know he appointed Kirshner's father. They don't know it, and they're never going to hear about it. And even if they do hear about it, they don't care. They don't care. He's over in France. Yeah. He's over in France. He's a master of France.
Starting point is 00:52:13 What's he going to do? But he got a pardon. He got a pardon for Mr. Trump. Yes. So don't criticize Joe Biden about pardons because Donald Trump trump gave kushner a pardon and what was he a tax evader yes all right i mean when you get a federal prosecutor saying it is one of the dirtiest people i ever prosecuted that says a lot doc hey i had a revelation over the thanksgiving holiday Thanksgiving holiday about Matt Gaetz and Pam Bondi. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:47 I think I'm right on this. So Pam Bondi, former Attorney General of Florida, great Attorney General here in the state of Florida, very popular. She's going to make a great Attorney General on most things, on most things, Doc. Except one. So, who really torpedoed Matt Gaetz? What brought down Matt Gaetz?
Starting point is 00:53:20 I'm going to tell you who did it. This is my hunch. The Zionist lobby. Oh, I'm with you 100%. Here's two reasons. For whatever faults Matt Gaetz has, and he does have some, that trouble me. But politically, Matt Gaetz is right on just about everything I believe. Politically.
Starting point is 00:53:45 It's his private lifestyle that I got problems with. But last year, or last, I guess, spring, when the House passed, what was it, H.R. 6090, which was the codification of the definition of anti-Semitism, and it brought it into federal law. The definition of so-called anti-Semitism, which said, basically, if you say the Jews crucified Jesus Christ, you were anti-Semitic.
Starting point is 00:54:21 That's now federal law. And Matt Gaetz said it on the floor of the House. He said, we're making it illegal to quote the Bible. That's reason number one. He's made other comments critical of Netanyahu and the Israelis. And the Jewish lobby and their power in Washington. That's reason number one. Number two, Pam Bondi, for all of the great qualities she has, she is a complete blithering Zionist puppet.
Starting point is 00:54:58 Yes. Okay? When she got nominated, she said, anybody in this country visiting on a visa who criticizes Israel, your visa will be revoked and you will be shipped home. Just criticizing Israel. If you're visiting the United States on a visa and you post something on Twitter that criticizes Israel, like, hey, they're committing genocide. Right. Your visa will be revoked per orders of Pam Bondi.
Starting point is 00:55:35 Yes. Now, this new law on anti-Semitism, do you think Pam Bondi will relentlessly pursue it? Absolutely. I do. Donald Trump's administration is going to go after people who criticize Israel. Yes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:55:52 They're big on free speech on other topics, but when it comes to criticizing Israel, they're against free speech. Yes. That's the truth. Yes. All right, you can get upset with me.
Starting point is 00:56:05 You can threaten never to donate again. Who cares? I'm telling you the truth. I've made it 25 years doing this show telling the truth, not catering to people and their donations. I've never catered to donors in 25 years, Doc. And I'm not going to start now. I'm too old to do it now.
Starting point is 00:56:26 Well, Gates never took a penny from APAC. Not necessarily. There it is. He never took a dime from APAC. Yes. He's not their boy. That's who brought down Matt Gates. Spread that around on the internet. On social media. It was
Starting point is 00:56:42 the Zionist lobby who took down Matt Gates. I believe that. I figured it out, Doc. on social media. It was the Zionist lobby who took down Matt Gaetz. I figured it out, Doc. Sitting there on my patio all by myself thinking about this stuff. Let's see. What else I got here? This is the Times of London.
Starting point is 00:56:59 Steve Bannon. MAGA can rule for 50 years. Nigel Farage will be Prime Minister of Great Britain. He's very, very close to telling the truth on this. He said, this is just a short quote
Starting point is 00:57:14 out of this article, if we deliver now, it's upon us. They've given President Trump that. If he delivers on the economics of this, we're going to govern for 50 years. It's all there for us to lose. He went on to say, we have to institutionalize the populist nationalist revolution in this country.
Starting point is 00:57:36 And you only do that by seizing the institutions, purging them, reforming them, and remaking them to the image and likeness of the American people, the working men and women in this country. Completely agree on that. So, will MAGA rule for 50 years? I don't believe so, Doc. Not fully. But I want to explain what I'm saying. Historian Arthur Schlesinger Jr. was a student of cycles.
Starting point is 00:58:15 And he identified a cycle in American politics that was about 15 to 20 years in the cycle. And he said that every 15 to 20 years in the cycle. And he said that every 15 to 20 years, the voters would kick out liberals and replace them with conservatives, and then 15 to 20 years later, kick out the conservatives, replace them with liberals.
Starting point is 00:58:38 If you do the math, if you go back in history, and look, he's absolutely right. Donald Trump's election in 2016 was an anomaly. He wasn't supposed to win, Doc. It interrupted the cycle. It interrupted the cycle. The cycle was supposed to end now, in 2024.
Starting point is 00:58:59 What's 20 years from, well, you go back 10 years, 2014. 2004. Okay. 20 years from, well, you go back 10 years, 2014. 2004. Okay. 20 years. Okay, so Obama came in in 2008. So that's roughly the 15-year cycle. Trump was not supposed to win in 2016. He was an anomaly.
Starting point is 00:59:22 So Mr. Schlesinger's theory holds true. If you look at the history of American politics, you will see that every 15 to 20 years, there is a turning in politics from liberal to conservative, conservative to liberal. So on that point, I disagree with Steve Bannon that they will not rule 50 years. I do believe they'll rule 15, maybe 20 years. If they go 20 years, it means the MAGA crowd will be in power in America up into the 2040s. 2044. Right. to the 2040s, 2044. If it's shorter, they'll lose somewhere around 2040. But I think there's sort of a disconnect with Steve Bannon there,
Starting point is 01:00:16 because how do you institutionalize populism? Okay, now, he's right on this, Doc. He says we have to institutionalize. Now, if they institutionalize, if they get the MAGA Trump devotees down in the bureaucracies, yes, that can last 50 years. Because you know what, Doc? We're dealing with liberals that have been in government going back decades. To FDR. Yeah. They've been buried into the bureaucracy for decades.
Starting point is 01:00:50 So he's right on that one. If I could advise President Trump, there's two things I'd recommend that he do. Suspend civil service and allow the president to fire any government worker. That's a key one, right? I don't know if they're willing to do that he should do that number two abolish the federal court system you can't abolish the supreme court that's constitutional but you can't abolish the court system abolish it and start a new one and then you get to appoint all the judges. Hey, that's it. I'm going to save World War III to tomorrow's program because it's so full. I would be here for another hour or two going through World War III. It'll still be happening tomorrow.

Starting point is 01:02:38 $200 or more. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Morning Manna. We are almost finished the Gospel According to St. Matthew. We're in verses 45 through 49 today. Should be finished by, I think, by Thursday with chapter 27. And then we will be finished next week with chapter 28 and that will bring us to the conclusion of our study of Matthew. It took us almost 12 whole months to study the Word of God. It's just a book of Matthew. It's been an amazing journey and I have learned so much and I am very grateful for our class who came here every day,
Starting point is 01:03:29 made me study. I love it. It's been great. So let's pray. Doc, I'll have you read 45 through 49. Dear gracious father, we give you glory and honor for this awesome beautiful day and father we give you thanksgiving for uh adopting us into your family restoring us reconciling with us making us your sons and daughters father we ask for the holy spirit to take charge of this morning manna bible lesson and illuminate our hearts and minds with your word in the name of Jesus amen amen and welcome to morning manna we are so glad to have you here with us for our faithful students who have been with us throughout this whole year of 2024 what a year it's been in the study of the Gospel of Matthew if
Starting point is 01:04:23 you've got your Bibles and you should always have your Bibles when you're studying the Bible, right? Matthew chapter 27, and we'll read verses 45 through 49. Reading from the King James this morning. Now from the sixth hour, there was darkness over the land unto the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried with the loud voice saying eli eli lama that is to say my god my god why hast thou forsaken me some of them that stood there when they heard that said this man calleth for elijah straightway one of them ran and took a sponge and filled it with vinegar and put it on a reed and gave him to drink.
Starting point is 01:05:07 The rest said, let be, let us see whether Elijah will come to save him. God bless the reading of his word. This is an awesome passage today, folks. There's a lot in here. Amen. Amen. Amen. Hey, before we start the study, I was just thinking, you know, we should finish Matthew 28 by, I'm guessing, next Thursday. Could be as early as Wednesday. I'm going to give you two pieces of homework.
Starting point is 01:05:44 I would like you to do two things. Number one, and I want you to send this to Doc, okay? He'll receive it and get it to me. Tell us what this year has meant to you. Tell us the changes it has brought in your walk with God. Tell us what you have gained
Starting point is 01:06:06 from one year of study of the book of Matthew. And then number two, if you have any questions about things that we discussed in the past year regarding Matthew, send those questions. And then on our last day on the study of Matthew,
Starting point is 01:06:22 we'll talk about those things. That probably will be next Thursday or Friday. Okay? So, verse 45. Now from the sixth hour, there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. So, we're talking about from 12 noon to 3 p.m. And those hours coincided with the hours of the Passover sacrifice. Yes. dividing of time the the sixth hour the ninth hour that that is consistent with the Jewish
Starting point is 01:07:12 reckoning of time so this this time and the things that happened to it. Not only is it in the Bible, but even Roman historians mentioned the things that happened that day. That's right. There's a Roman historian, Philegon or Philegon? I think it's Philegon. Is that close enough close enough all right um
Starting point is 01:07:49 he he mentioned in his historical writings about the the extraordinary darkness and the earthquakes and the other strange things that happened that day um so you know it was more than just a bible that wrote down what happened now most bible commentators are in agreement that it was localized it was confined to judea it was not a global event we're going to talk about this here in a few minutes as we get into these other verses so I'm talking about the eclipse it was a natural eclipse
Starting point is 01:08:35 it happened during the Passover full moon yes so how could it how could there be a clips during the full moon so this darkness this darkness that came over the land it shows us the divine control over creation that God was God was demonstrating to everybody there every person who was a witness to the crucifixion of his son he witnessed to them who was in control he dimmed the lights and said I'm watching this and I ordained it
Starting point is 01:09:30 I'm in control you're fulfilling my plan as we're going to read in verses 51 and 2 and 53 uh there was uh other events an earthquake the splitting of rocks the the rendering of the of the temple veil all these things symbolized the end of the old covenant it was done it was finished and god made his statement. We see creation itself bearing witness to the gravity of the crucifixion of the Son of God. Creation mourned the death of Jesus Christ. The darkness to me, Doc,
Starting point is 01:10:26 is as though creation bowed its head. Yes. The sun went dark. Creation bowed its head. The Son of God god on the cross and his future glory yes again god used the the natural elements of the universe to make a statement to the Jews and the Romans who were participating in the crucifixion of his son yes you say you think you're doing this but I'm actually orchestrating all this because
Starting point is 01:11:19 we're going to save your souls if you're willing to be saved but the price the cost of saving them was so great that that the natural elements of the planet of the sky could barely witness it yes Yes. Creation itself testified to the Son of God. Yes. The crowd, the Roman soldiers, the Jewish leaders,
Starting point is 01:12:00 you know, the ambulance chasers, the rubberneckers. You know what a rubbernecker is, right? You know, people that drive by an accident scene and their neck stretches out two feet to look at everything. Yeah. They were all there.
Starting point is 01:12:22 But for a moment they paused the mockery ceased during the darkness they knew something odd something unusual was happening it shut their mouths house. The sky turned black. The earth shook. They didn't know except for a handful of people that the veil in the temple was ripped in half. Yes. That happened during this three hour block of time here. Yes. And Rick not only you know you've got all these features but this happening was also fulfillment of scripture by the prophet Amos.
Starting point is 01:13:16 In Amos chapter 8 verse 9 it reads and it shall come to pass in that day saith the Lord God that I will cause the sun to go down at noon and will darken the earth in the clear day. So the prophet Amos predicted this. This is also a fulfillment, really a part of the Passover narrative too, in that the Lord darkened Egypt, remember? Darkened the land of Egypt as well.
Starting point is 01:13:45 And so it's a throwback, if you will, to a fulfillment of the darkening of Egypt, its judgment. But in a way, it's also talking about a future day of darkness that's coming too. Joel chapter two, verse 31 says, the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.
Starting point is 01:14:09 So it's not just by accident the Lord said, you know what, it'd be great if we shut off the lights for three hours. No, there was a plan in God's sovereignty to speak to the witness of Scripture from the past and for the future related to this. That's a good point because when Christ returns, the world goes dark. This time it's global. So this was a foretaste of judgment, if you will. All right, this was three hours. One day it's all going to go dark. Globally, everybody will be in darkness.
Starting point is 01:14:52 So, verse 46, in about the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani that is to say my god my god why hath thou forsaken me this is a a direct quotation from Psalm 22 1 yes the psalm says my god my god why has thou fors me? Why art thou so far from helping me? And from the words of my roaring. Those were the words of King David. Yes. He felt forsaken by God.
Starting point is 01:15:38 His enemies were seeking to kill him. And King David cried out, my God, my God my god where are you why have you forsaken me and yet so far prophetically too yes he he was prophesied see david had to act out on stage his role and speak his lines right david would have never said those words had there not been enemies trying to kill him. See, there are times in your life when uncomfortable, unpleasant things are happening
Starting point is 01:16:22 when you are being pursued by enemies who seek your demise whether it's physical financially whatever it is they're out to get you they're out to hurt you and we have to go through these circumstances and at the time we don't understand what we're doing. But God has a plan. He sees something in the future. You're going to read lines in your situation that's going to impact the souls of other people. Amen. Amen. So, by quoting David, Psalm 22, 1.
Starting point is 01:17:08 He fulfilled Messianic prophecy, and he pointed to King David's ultimate trust in God. Jesus prophesied, he fulfilled prophecy as the prophesied Messiah. Fulfilling God's redemptive plan for humankind. Both David had to go through an unpleasant situation.
Starting point is 01:17:32 Jesus had to go through it too. They both said the same words. If David never had enemies, he never would have said, my God, my God, why have thou forsaken me? Right. God the Father needed those words spoken on the cross as a fulfillment of prophecy.
Starting point is 01:17:55 Well, guess what, David? I chose you. I'm going to put you in a terrible situation. You're going to cry out, my God, my God, where are you? I need you to do that. I need you to read that line, David. I need it later. Because centuries later, it's going to be proof that that man on the cross is my son.
Starting point is 01:18:19 So you're going to have to suffer right now, David. I'm going to have to squeeze you until you say, why God, my God, why have thou forsaken me? I hope this helps you get through your troubles. Remember, you're just reading lines. You're just acting out your role. Stay with the script, and it has a happy ending the hero will come during the drama and rescue you
Starting point is 01:18:53 and the audience will clap he's saved she's delivered see it's all theater we're living this cosmic theater God has scripted out our lives all we have to do is read the lines It's all theater. We're living this cosmic theater. God has scripted out our lives.
Starting point is 01:19:06 All we have to do is read the lines, stay on stage, know what to say, when to say it. These words, Eli, Eli. It's a mixture of Hebrew and Aramaic, which was common at that time. As we said, the cry occurred at 3 p.m., the ninth hour, which coincided with the exact time that the passover lamb was sacrificed nobody nobody there connecting the dots hey it's 3 p.m it's the ninth hour you know what
Starting point is 01:19:56 they're doing right now down at the temple they're slaughtering the Passover lamb. Well, isn't that a coincidence? This man's on the cross at 3 p.m. And he says he's the son of God. Nobody connected the dots. So you can be in the middle of something profound and not comprehend what's taking place. The cry came from the depth of Jesus' soul. It expressed physical, emotional, spiritual anguish. He was suffering beyond human endurance.
Starting point is 01:21:05 And the cry underscoresesus's role as the mediator see mankind and the maker almighty god had been separated since the garden of eden god promised through various old testament prophets that he was going to reconcile mankind yes give them a new heart a new heart, a new covenant, and a new heart. And the Gentiles would be brought in. It was prophesied by the Old Testament Jews, Jewish prophets. Yes. So in a reconciliation, there's usually a mediator.
Starting point is 01:21:47 Because the two parties are so far estranged that they can't get together. And a mediator is brought in to bring the two parties together. Right. Did God have reason to be angry at mankind? Did God have
Starting point is 01:22:10 reasons to be offended by mankind? Yes, he did. He said he had a controversy with the nations. Where I grew up, that would be like, I got a bone to pick with you.
Starting point is 01:22:31 I've got something to say. God said, I have a controversy with the nations. I have an argument with the nations of the world. You're in rebellion against me. So here is God's son acting as the mediator between God the maker and humans the made. Yes. And his arms are stretched out on a cross, one arm reaching, touching God, and one arm touching mankind saying come together come together come together through me Christ let me reconcile heaven with
Starting point is 01:23:14 earth let me reconcile Almighty God with fallen humanity let me be the one. Stretch my arms out. Have you ever seen him that way on the cross? The mediator? With his arms stretched out to God and man? And it's profound, Rick, that here is the negotiator, the middleman, says to the sinful of the world, give me your sins. Give them to me. And then to the father says, give me the judgment for those sins. 2 Corinthians 5.21 says, For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin,
Starting point is 01:24:03 that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. The mediator took on the sins and the punishment. Yes. So the mediator is saying to God, what's preventing you from reconciling with this party? The party being mankind. What is it? What is preventing you from reconciling with them? Let's get it out on the table.
Starting point is 01:24:37 Let's discuss it. And God is saying, their sinfulness, their rebellion, their wickedness, I can't have anything to do with them. They have to be judged. My law says sin cannot be recognized. It must be judged. That's right. And Jesus, the mediator, says to his father, then put it on me.
Starting point is 01:25:05 Put all their sins on me. Let me take the judgment. Let me. You pour out your fury and wrath on me. You understand what was happening on the cross? Can you read Romans 3, verses 21 through 26? Sure. Romans 3, 21 through 26. This speaks about Jesus bearing the full weight of humanity's sin,
Starting point is 01:25:43 becoming the object of God's fury, his anger, his judgment, his punishment for the sins of mankind. Amen. Romans chapter 3, verses 21 through 26. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets, even the righteousness of God, which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe. For there is no difference. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are passed through the forbearance of God. To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness, that he might be just,
Starting point is 01:26:41 and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. That's Romans chapter 3, verses 21 through 26. Amen. This cry on the cross, why have you forsaken me? It's one of seven final statements that Jesus made. There are seven profound statements. This is one of them. So this is no doubt the worst day of Jesus's life.
Starting point is 01:27:20 Not the pain. The pain is beyond understanding, beyond our comprehension. The worst part of it was his estrangement from his father. That was the worst agony of the crucifixion. The separation was not just a dissolution of his divine nature, but the withdrawal of the presence of God his father his father withdrew
Starting point is 01:27:50 from him I even have trouble comprehending it you mean there was a moment that God and Jesus were separated it's hard to comprehend it is it is God and Jesus were separated? It's hard to comprehend.
Starting point is 01:28:06 It is. If you've ever felt the Holy Spirit withdrawing from you, it is a terrifying experience. To know that you're displeasing the Lord and he's saying, I'm pulling back from you right now until you get your act together. Uh-uh, no way. That's why David said, don't take your presence from me, Lord.
Starting point is 01:28:29 Don't take your presence from me. Whatever you do. You can do anything you want to to me, but don't take your presence from me. God took his complete presence from his son. And Jesus felt it. He knew the moment his father stepped away. A feeling of total abandonment.
Starting point is 01:29:11 He addressed his father as he's always said my father now he says my god this is God the Son now saying to God the Father my god My God. To me, it shows his unwavering faith and confidence in his father's plan. Like, Father, this hurts so much. I don't know what's going on, but I trust you. Where are you right now? That's why when we're in difficult times, we have to always trust God's plan. Trust his word. Jesus said he will never leave nor forsake you.
Starting point is 01:29:57 That's a promise. Amen. Satan will tell you, you're all by yourself. God's got other things to do he didn't have time for you he's so upset with you he's not even talking to you that's a lie
Starting point is 01:30:14 Jesus Christ took that upon himself it'll never happen to you you would have to completely renounce Christ and become a reprobate for his spirit to depart from you and even then he would he would argue with you until there was no other choice. So, Jesus had to endure the full extent of the agony and the pain on the cross.
Starting point is 01:31:00 God did not allow a quick death. No. But God amplified the physical and spiritual torment that was necessary for our redemption. Jesus had to lick every drop from the cup. The cup of judgment. We're supposed to do it. He did it for us. Yes. a cup of judgment. We're supposed to do it.
Starting point is 01:31:26 He did it for us. Yes. So God forsaking his son is divine wrath. As a substitute for us, Jesus experienced the divine wrath as a substitute for us Jesus experienced the divine wrath he was the substitute he took it upon himself so it it speaks of the true cost of our sin and the magnitude of his sacrifice. Again, I marvel at the profound depth that my Lord and Savior suffered for me, for my redemption.
Starting point is 01:32:20 Amen. You know, many martyrs, there have been many Christian martyrs over 2,000 years, but none of them suffered the full weight of separation and wrath. God consoled martyrs
Starting point is 01:32:41 as they were tied to the stake and burned, as they were tortured. God was there to console them. But with his son, he departed from him. And so his agony was unique, but essential for atonement. you know i wonder doc are these are the memories of the cross are they too painful for jesus to think about or does he remember it to tell himself how much he loves us I mean we're talking about we're talking about pain misery agony
Starting point is 01:33:29 horror beyond anything any human has ever experienced forsaken by God smitten by God according to Isaiah it wasn't just the Romans and the Jews that plotted and then carried out a death sentence on Jesus.
Starting point is 01:33:47 No, his father did it. His father did it. According to Isaiah 53, surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. God did this. His father did this. His Father did this. His Father poured out His wrath on His Son for this.
Starting point is 01:34:12 This isn't just a casual remark here. This is the centerpiece of the gospel message right here. This is it. Without this, you do not have a gospel message. That's right. One thing I want to point out about this is, you know, a spiritual lesson for us is Jesus' empathy with us during our times of trouble. He has empathy for us because he's been through it. There are times when God is far away from us.
Starting point is 01:35:03 And that can happen for two different reasons. Sometimes it's because we've wandered off. We're the little wandering child in the department store. You know, when mom or dad says, stay by my side, and the little boy or little girl knows exactly where the toy department is at and starts walking that way okay the
Starting point is 01:35:28 instruction from father or mother was stay by my side do not wander off and the child will wander away so that's that's an action on the part of us. We wander away. We're saved, but we wander away. We're not planning to do anything bad. We're just wandering away. But there are times when God wanders away from us on purpose. So why would he do that? Well, I'll tell you what he taught me. Because I've had seasons in my life, I'm like, I don't feel you close to me right now.
Starting point is 01:36:17 And this is the principle he taught me. So God has a small, still voice for humans. If he spoke in his normal voice, he'd blow out your woofers. He can't talk to us in his normal voice. I mean, he's not trying to do anything amazing. He's just being himself. I mean, he's not trying to do anything amazing. He's just being himself. His voice, just his voice can cause earthquakes.
Starting point is 01:37:06 His voice, the sound of his voice, 10 million angels fall down on their face and cry, holy, holy, holy, just the sound of his voice in heaven. He can't talk to us in his normal voice. He speaks to us in a quiet, still voice in our spirit. Now, if I go way over here on the far side of this room and Doc's right here, and I whisper in a quiet, still voice, and I say something profound to Doc that he needs to hear it, Doc says, what did you say and i whispered again and doc says i i can't hear you what did you say and i whispered again what is doc going to do he's going to move towards me
Starting point is 01:38:04 until he's right up beside me. Where I can get close to him and whisper in his ear. And go, oh, now I heard you. That's what God's doing. Sometimes when he separates from us, it's, hey, come up and get close to me. Just come up real close to me I just want to get I just want to whisper in your ear should we get we start wandering away and so he he starts whispering when we wandered away he whispers wander and whisper the whispering is to bring us back yes we see his lips moving can't hear him why can't you hear me too far away he's not
Starting point is 01:38:55 moving you are you got to go he's steady he's solid okay he doesn't wander around it's humans that wander around verse 47 some of them that stood there when they heard that said this man called for Elias or did people did people say Jesus called upon Elijah to save him because he misunderstood his words or did they say it to mock him you can interpret this verse two different ways some people say
Starting point is 01:39:41 oh they were mocking Jesus others say they misunderstood his words. He said, Eli, Eli. Did he just say, Elias, Elias? So there's different ways to interpret this verse. Some Bible teachers saying this was deliberate mockery to ridicule his claim to divine assistance. Others say it was a genuine misunderstanding influenced by the misunderstanding of his words his you know i
Starting point is 01:40:30 mean the man's on the cross he may be slurring his words at this point or barely whisper he can't get any air out of his lungs to speak. But he might have just been in awe of the things happening. And particularly, the misunderstanding could have been, again, the Hellenistic Jews, the Greek-speaking Jews who may not have fully understood his Aramaic language. Right. Yeah, that's a possibility there. Eli and Elias sound similar. sounds similar also uh there was a jewish belief that elijah would return as the forerunner of the messiah based on malachi four or five but he already he already had come there's john the baptist that's right and they missed that one too right they had their prophecy books. They had their prophecy charts. Elijah has not showed up.
Starting point is 01:41:46 Yes, he did. And he was killed. Yes. The Messiah is here and you're in the process of killing him too. But they had their prophecy charts and it didn't line up with what they had on their charts. The name Elijah means my God is Yahweh. My God is Yahweh. My God is Yahweh. That's his name.
Starting point is 01:42:08 And so Jesus himself was calling out to God. But the people around there didn't understand because those things have to be spiritually discerned, Rick. The Bible says the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God. They're foolish unto him. Neither can they know them because they are spiritually discerned. And so there was no spiritual discernment that day that was going on. Right. So if it was mockery, then it reflects cruelty and insensitivity at the highest level. Yes.
Starting point is 01:42:52 If it was mockery. It was twisting sacred words, prayers to God and twisting them and making fun of them if it was mockery if it was mockery then they were rudely interrupting his prayer to his father there was a lot going on there if that was mockery. Verse 48, and straightway one of them ran and took a sponge and filled it with vinegar and put it on a reed and gave him to drink. We talked about this last week. In John, John adds that Jesus said, I thirst.
Starting point is 01:43:43 John 19, verse 28. Jesus said, I thirst. John 19, verse 28. He said, I thirst. And either a soldier or a bystander, somebody there to cross heard him say it. So they went and they got a sponge attached to a stalk, a big reed, a stalk. And the sponges were, I mean, that was a common item at that time. And so they dipped the sponge, I guess, in a bucket of vinegar, which was sour wine. Right.
Starting point is 01:44:29 Where they poured it on the sponge. And it was just the cheapest wine that you could have. It's what the soldiers could afford. Just as sour as you can get. So they dip the sponge or soak the sponge. Sponge is on a reed, a stalk of hyssop, and they put it up to Jesus' lips. That stalk is long enough to reach his mouth. The cheap wine was called Pasca. Yes.
Starting point is 01:45:12 And it was a sour wine diluted with water. And the Roman soldiers drank it during their breaks. Or probably during, probably while they were on duty. Now, the offering of the vinegar was a fulfillment of another prophecy. Praise God. Isn't this just wonderful? All these different prophecies fulfilled. Psalm 69, 21. in my thirst they gave me
Starting point is 01:45:48 vinegar to drink i go back to my analogy about reading your lines on stage the psalmist, centuries earlier, had to read that line. The psalmist had to be put in a situation that would force him to say, in my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink. Because he didn't just get up out of bed and go, hey, they gave me vinegar to drink. No, he was in a predicament. He was in great trouble. God squeezed the words out of the psalmist's mouth. I'm going to put you in a situation.
Starting point is 01:46:33 You're going to say these words. In my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink. The sooner you say it, the sooner this trial will be over. I need you to say it. See, your trials and testings can get over fast if you just say the word of god and that will preach doc your trials and testings will end quicker if you will just speak the word of god he's trying to get you to speak the word of God he's trying to get you to speak the word oh you need more pressure how much pressure does it take to get you to quote the Word of God hey quote it quickly get over the test as fast as you can it through it but what it shows me that is that even in the small acts like the offering
Starting point is 01:47:30 of vinegar the sovereignty of god is evident amen in in orchestrating events that fulfill his plan plan of redemption it's amazing father has it all planned out he planned it out look he wrote the screenplay before he made the stage he wrote the screenplay before he built the theater the the planet. He wrote the screenplay before he made the audience, people. Father had already written the screenplay before the foundation of the world. Okay, so does that mean everything is planned? No, I don't think everything is planned. But the things that god has planned will come to pass right what does that mean well god has his he's got his plan it's in concrete spiritual concrete it's out there it's going to happen we can bounce around do things say things
Starting point is 01:48:48 acting do all kinds of things that really not in his plan but i'll guarantee you the things that are in his plan they're going to happen so we have a degree of free will and yet we're acting within the boundaries. Okay, it's kind of like bumper cars. God lets us drive all over the place, but they got the rubber tires there to stop us in certain places, right? Right. But nothing happens if there's no power. That's right.
Starting point is 01:49:22 So God's still in control. Yeah, the bumper cars, they're running on electricity okay go ahead and drive do what you want but i've got these rubber tires all over this course and you're going to bump into them and make you make a turn left makes you go right God's will will happen you know if we could see if we could see a map of our life's footprints since we were born. We'd go, oh my. I would go all over the place. I made circles. I did figure eights.
Starting point is 01:50:12 There were times where goats were dragging me. I went sideways. I did all kinds of stuff. I went around and around in circles until I found the right path. You ever been on a street, you know, a circle in a city, and you don't know which one of those street exits is the one you're supposed to take, and you just keep going around and around.
Starting point is 01:50:37 In the roundabout, you mean? The roundabout. It's like, okay, one of those spokes is the right exit. I'm going to go around it three times until I figure it out. That's what we do in life. It's funny. I got caught in one of those yesterday down in Port St. Lucie. I had to go all the way back around to come back to the right road.
Starting point is 01:50:59 And so it's funny you mentioned that because I did exactly that yesterday. And so we do it. We go around and around and around and then we go, oh, we're supposed to take the exit that has the word of God on it. Yes. The Greek tense in this verse indicates continuous action, which means that the soldier or the bystander repeatedly offered a drink. And then the phrase, leave him alone now. Okay. So they were trying numerous times to get him the wine mixed with gall. The gall, remember, was the narcotic, the pain killer, the heavy narcotic drug. He refused it. But this time he accepted the vinegar.
Starting point is 01:52:32 Because it didn't have the drug in it. Verse 49. The rest said, let be. Let us see whether Elias will come to save him. I just mentioned that. Let him be, let's wait. Let be means let him alone. Stop, stop assisting him.
Starting point is 01:52:58 Don't do anything. Let's just wait and see if Elijah shows up. Well, so there were people there who were convinced Jesus was calling on Elijah. And that doesn't mean everybody believed it, but there were. Obviously. A certain group of people, the Roman soldiers didn't weren ones because they didn't know anything about Old Testament prophecies. There would have been Jews there who said, he's calling on Elijah. Don't bother him.
Starting point is 01:53:36 Let him alone. Let's just wait here and see if Elijah shows up. But if Elijah showed up, would they have believed he was the son of God? Nope, they would not have believed. Jesus said, an evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and there shall be no sign given to it but the sign of the prophet Jonas. What's the sign of the prophet Jonas? Jonas was in the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights. And that was going to be the sign that Jesus is the son of God and the savior of mankind. That sign.
Starting point is 01:54:13 Not Elijah showing up, not anybody else showing up, but Jesus showing back up three days and three nights later. Yes. So, you know, doctors, the bystanders watching there was a mixture in their thinking in their evaluation what was taking place some were curious
Starting point is 01:54:39 how is this going to end is Elijah coming others were ridiculing Christ. Some were mocking. Some were there because they had a superstitious fascination. The crowd at the foot of the cross is really symbolic of the world today. You got some people that don't know anything about God and Scripture. So that's like the Romans and stuff like that.
Starting point is 01:55:13 Then you've got other groups of people that misinterpret Scripture or put their own imprint on Scripture or, you know, or mock Scripture, scripture mock god so it's the world today isn't it and so you've got it just like then the world today stands at the foot of the cross looking up now at an empty cross but they must they must be they must reckon with that cross, every one of them. Even with the ignorance of Scripture, the misinterpretation of Scripture, the mocking of Scripture, everybody at the foot of the cross has to make a decision at the foot of the cross what they believe. You took the words out of my mouth.
Starting point is 01:56:03 That's exactly where I was going with this. You didn't going to do that no no no i i love it i love it because it it shows that we're tracking together by the holy spirit we're seeing the same things here so the the reaction of the various subgroups there the mockers where the Cuellars the the disbelievers the the ones who were fascinated just wanted to see hey this is this is crazy what's going on here could he be the son of God well I'm just gonna hang out here and see what happens yeah you imagine people that
Starting point is 01:56:45 were there say well i'm just gonna stay here you know i brought a a lunch and i'm just gonna sit here and wait and see if elijah shows up i'm gonna see if he comes down off the cross this is pretty amazing yeah i guarantee you there were people there who did that. Then you had on the road out there, because this was on a main thoroughfare. This is like I-95 out front. You had people passing by. Maybe mama telling the kids, kids don't look, okay? But we got to get inside the gate here and everything because the Passover festival is going on. Don't look at this.
Starting point is 01:57:23 Ignore the cross. Ignore the cross. Let's walk on and just and party inside so it in among humans today you have those who mock jesus mock christianity you have people who disbelieve it, reject it outright. They don't mock it. They just don't believe. And then you have the curious tire kickers. They don't plan to buy, but they're just going to walk around and kick the tires
Starting point is 01:57:59 and lift up the hood and look at it. They're curious, but then they're going to go down and check out Buddha. Those are the people today. Mockers, curious, onlookers, disbelievers,
Starting point is 01:58:21 and then you have believers. Aren't you glad you're in the group with believers? And, you know, one group there, the Romans, who knew no Scripture, at least none that we're aware of, they still have to be held accountable to the cross. A lack of knowledge of Scripture is not an excuse on the final day. A lack of knowledge of Scripture is not an excuse on the final day. A lack of knowledge of Scripture.
Starting point is 01:58:48 The Lord says, you've been given a witness. You've been given a witness. And that witness is through creation. The Creator, though, was crucified on a cross. And so even if you don't know a single word of the Bible, you still are held accountable by the cross. Doc, just their cruelty. The Roman soldiers, their cruelty.
Starting point is 01:59:16 Not one of them that we know said, hey, let's not do this. This is sick. I'm talking about the beating the scourging the mocking putting the crown of thorns on him nobody said hey guys come on this is over the top this is this is this ain't right we shouldn't be doing this no human should be this is a decent man we shouldn't be treating him this way nobody said it they will be held accountable that's right just for their cruelty you know the bible doesn't tell us of one person who tried to stop the crucifixion no
Starting point is 02:00:01 not even his own mother. Not Nicodemus, not Joseph of Arimathea, nobody. Nobody. Why? Because God's plan. Because God's plan was unfolding perfectly. It had to happen.
Starting point is 02:00:22 That's why. Okay, doc, that's it for today. All right. Well, Rick, great lesson today. We'll pick back up here at verse 50 tomorrow.
