Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed two weeks ago to transfer weapons to America's enemies. He's not wasting any time fulfilling his threat. The Russian president is in North Korea today signing documents with Kim Jong-un. I'm Rick Wiles. This is True News for Wednesday, June 18, 2024. Let's begin with this report published by Yonhap News Agency, Seoul, South Korea. Putin set to arrive in North Korea in rare trip amid deepening concerns about military cooperation. Doc is here. And he is in North Korea now. And he's there now.

And this is a rare trip. Usually, it's the North Korean leader who travels by train to Moscow. Rarely do you see Putin traveling to North Korea. You know, my view is the United States and NATO have pushed Putin into this action. We've angered them. They're furious now. They're going to get even. Yes. They've crossed the line.

This didn't have to happen. This is a result of the folly of Western foreign policy driven by elitist graduates of Ivy League colleges and universities who believe that they have a right, a divine right to rule the world. Yes, that's it. It is a divine. It's like the divine right of kings concept back in the Middle Ages. But they believe they have a divine right to rule and that everybody else is too uneducated to have a say in how the world is run. They've made a mess of the world. And this war in Ukraine has not gone the way that they expected. Putin has dug in. He is adamant that he's going to push the West out of Ukraine

and he's not going to give up and I believe he's prepared to use nuclear weapons if he has to. So two weeks ago, he said that they would transfer weapons to America's enemies. He was very blunt about it. I mean, he literally said, we will arm America's enemies. And he's doing it. The very first thing that happened was he sent submarines to Cuba. Yes.

That was the first signal. Which are now on their way to Venezuela today. And now he personally is in North Korea. So we don't know what he's going to do. We'll take a look at this. We know he's going to sign some documents. We don't know what the deal is going to be. But we'll take a look at what Yonhap is saying. Yes, Rick. Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to make his first visit to North Korea in 24 years for talks with Leader Kim Jong-un in a highly, what Yonhap is saying, symbolic trip, showing off their ever-tightening relations amid deepening concerns about military cooperation.

Mr. Putin will arrive in Pyongyang. He actually arrived yesterday evening to sign important documents with the North's leader Wednesday. Criminal aid jury Ushakov was quoted as telling reporters to Russia's news agency TASS, several documents will be signed and this can be said about a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty, Ushakov said, adding that if it is signed, it would outline prospects for future cooperation between the two nations. Now, later, Russia's TASS news agency reported that Putin ordered the signing of a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty with North Korea, and it did not provide any further details. Well, that being said, we know that

there's been limited cooperation up to this point. North Korea, it's been reported, has been supplying weapons and arms to Russia. Now it looks like this is going to be an even tighter partnership moving forward. And I said in the introduction that Mr. Putin rarely goes to North Korea. Well, it's more than rarely. He never goes. This is the first time, according to Yonhap, first time in 24 years that Putin has traveled to Pyongyang, North Korea. So this is a big deal. It's a monumental event that has happened.

And so, you know, we can guess at what each side wants. North Korea needs, they need food. They always need food. They need oil. But I think that they would like to have advanced ICBM missiles. They have their own that they're developing, but why keep developing if you can just get some for free? Right. And technology is a key element, too, I'm sure, that North Korea wants to advance its

technological capabilities and go even further, especially in military development. So what does North Korea have that Russia wants? All right. I would say ammo. Right. Rifles, machine guns, anything, any kind of weaponry. The Russians need it. They need ammo really bad.

They need ammo. Well, another key thing is a strategic partnership in Asia. And that's going to be a big deal. Is there going to be a Russian naval base in North Korea? Well, there very well could be. I don't know if you saw any of the video of Putin's arrival.

They had his picture plastered everywhere in Pyongyang. No, I didn't see it. Oh, yes. And so they were really rolling out the red carpet for... We don't have any of the video, do we? I could probably get some here real quick. I don't know how China would feel about a

Russian naval base in North Korea. Xi Jinping may get his feelings hurt over that one. But I'm sure it's something that Putin's going to ask for. It's going to be one of, you know, if Kim Jong-un wants advanced weapons, you know, that's at the top of his list, then he's got to accept something that's at the top of the list for Putin. And I would think for Putin, it would be having a military base on the Korean Peninsula.

Yes. But the other aspect of it, too, is what Vladimir Putin said last week, arming America's enemies. Which is just mischief. Where the motivation is mischief. Right. Medvedev said, we're going to make your life miserable, meaning the West. We're going to make your life miserable in the West.

So giving weapons to someone like Kim Jong-un can definitely help make life miserable for people in the West because he's unstable. And if he's fully armed and without his meds – Okay. Okay? Here's Vladimir Putin's arrival in Pyongyang.

You can see they cleared the highways off completely. He didn't have a traffic jam, did he? No. It's important that North Korea release this video because first of all, it makes North Korea look like a very modern city and everything. That's the

other thing that they want to bring out too is they want to be considered a competitor in the League of Nations. But this is... That's actually my first, that is my first glimpse of Pyongyang. Yes. And I'm surprised. I mean, we're assuming that that's real video and not animation.

Well, that's true. We don't know. We don't know, do we? There could be animation. There could be a deep fake. We have no idea anymore. But they are rolling out the red carpet for Putin today. Now, something else is going on

on the Korean peninsula that's disturbing. Here's another Yonhap headline. North Korean soldiers briefly cross border for second time in less than two weeks. We're talking about the DMZ, the demilitarized zone. And there have been these incursions from North Korean troops across the DMZ. Next one, Sky News. South Korea fires more warning shots at North Korean soldiers crossing DMZ as landmines

explode. Next one, also a Yonhap. This one, Doc, I had to get from Yonhap in Korean and translate it. I don't know why it does not appear. At least I couldn't find it on the English. I looked for it, too, and I couldn't find the English version. But look at the headline. North Korean military suffers multiple casualties due to landmine explosions during DMZ operation.

So, according to this report, several North Korean soldiers were killed as they crossed the DMZ and stepped on landmines. And the way the article reads there, it sounds like it was just a casual thing that just happened. But apparently, there have been a large number of North Korean troops that have been in the DMZ zone since about the 1st of April. Okay, so you lived in Seoul. Is this rare or is this a normal thing? No, it's rare. I mean, you can go right up to the DMZ and you can look right across the DMZ. You can see North Korean troops in the towers across the DMZ.

It's extremely rare to see anything happening in the DMZ between the North and the South. North Korea is up to something. I mean, they're up to something in the DMZ. What it is, maybe they're putting landmines in. Maybe they're searching for landmines. It could be either one. Well, they found some because they stepped on them. Right.

But that could lead to a whole bunch of speculation there. Are they preparing for an invasion into the south? I mean, that's not beyond the realm of possibility. So these are questions that are starting to pop up now. I didn't realize that there were so – they were saying hundreds of troops have been in the DMZ since the 1st of April. It's only been recently with the landmine explosions that it's really started getting the attention of the international community. So something is happening there. And it could just be Kim Jong-un, you know, just making himself known and just saying, I'm still here. Don't forget about me over here.

Well, it was just a week or two ago he sent hundreds of feces balloons. Manure balloons. Manure balloons over the border, which is an odd thing to do. I mean, a leader of a nation wakes up one morning and says, I want you to fill up balloons with poop and send them over. Well, he had sent in response to all the balloons that the South sent across the DMZ. What were they sending? They were sending leaflets and pamphlets. Propaganda.

Right. And so Kim Jong-un sent his own propaganda. But this visit by Putin to North Korea does a couple things. It legitimizes North Korea as a player a real player in what what's happening in the world community right now which is really what Kim jong-un has been hungry for right that if you could get inside his mind he feels like the unwanted stepchild right China really doesn't want him. The U.S. would like to get rid of him.

Russia, you know, has been polite, but no thank you. All of a sudden now. Yes. It's not that he's invited to Moscow. Moscow went to him. And think about, there's not been an official visit

by a Russian leader to North Korea since his father was ruling North Korea. And so this is a way for him to get out of his father's shadow too. And that's a big deal to the Koreans. You've got to establish your own identity and your own, you know, the father has to die and be buried. So he's now as great as or greater than his father. Yes. Okay. Let's go down to number five, Novasti. Russian foreign ministry said today that Russia may clarify its nuclear doctrine due to NATO threats.

In a nutshell, what that means is they're going to rewrite their internal government policy to make it legal to nuke us. That's what it comes down to. They're going to do it by the books. And when the books and the documents aren't in line with what they want to do, you change the documents. That's right.
