Reporters Without Borders denounced the cutoff of U.S. federal funds, stating that it has plunged many NGOs, media outlets, and journalists into chaos and uncertainty. Meanwhile, Democratic members of Congress converged on the sidewalk in front of the Department of Education in Washington today. They were denied entry into the government agency's headquarters government agencies headquarters by armed private security guards. This is true news for Friday, February 7, 2025. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's news with this report from
Starting point is 00:01:56 thehill.com. Members of Congress denied access to Department of Education. And so, Doc, this is a pretty controversial story today. Large numbers of Democratic members of Congress tried to go inside the Department of Education today during regular working hours, a public building. I'm just stating the facts, it's a public building. It's during regular working hours, and armed security guards who were not government employees, but private contractors, blocked members of Congress from going inside. Now, it reminds me of the Biden administration blocking Republican members of Congress from going inside the security, the facilities at the border in Texas.
Starting point is 00:02:57 Right, I remember that. They would not allow the Republicans to go inside and see how the illegals were being processed. So we've got some video of this. This first one, this is from News Nation. News Nation, I'm starting to like them. They've got a seat in the White House press room now. They're reminding me of the original CNN when CNN used to be news.
Starting point is 00:03:26 Right. And I think that's where they're picking it up. They're just reporting news and not a lot of commentary, which keeps you out of trouble. Right. Okay? But here's a report from News Nation. Right now you're looking live at the Department of Education. Members of Congress, they're being denied entry into the building.
Starting point is 00:03:46 The doors are locked. There's a security guard there. I'm guessing that's who's in the brown, tan-looking shirt, but we don't know for sure. They're having a tense conversation. What is that? We're doing our job. We're trying to save you. Kind of want to listen in for a second here. Show them your ID. Were you told to stand here or did you decide to stand here and block members of Congress from entering the Department of Education? To federal buildings? She says the Department of Education. We're allowed in there.
Starting point is 00:04:17 So a private security contractor is blocking members of Congress. We're all members of Congress. Maybe you didn't understand. members of Congress. We're all members of Congress. A private security contractor is making the decision to block members of Congress from a public access entrance. I don't think he knows. You have the authority as a private security contractor
Starting point is 00:04:38 to block members of Congress. That has been knighted and granted to you. You have to at least let us go to the desk. Yeah. So many goons out there. It's made of rice. Who told you to do this? Open the door.
Starting point is 00:04:55 I'll see you later. So do you understand who members of Congress are? And you don't care. Who are we then? You don't care. We have a job to do. We're not dangerous people. We're not, I don't care. Who are we then? You don't care. We have a job to do. We're not dangerous people. We're not, I don't know, security.
Starting point is 00:05:08 There are no thieves and thugs out here. We're members of Congress. We're parents. With identification. We're teachers. There's our ID right there. We were elected. This is our job.
Starting point is 00:05:22 This is our job. We're doing our job. Oh, wow. This is our job. This is our job. We're doing our job. You're securing this building against who? Members of Congress. Who are you protecting? So this is the beginning of full transparency of this administration. The administration that talked about they're going to open the doors to all of these things and show the American public what is going on. They won't even open the door to this building to members of
Starting point is 00:05:49 Congress. We are not posing any threat here. We are not dangerous people. We have not done anything. We're trying to request a meeting and they won't, they have a private security contractor who on his own is making decisions on behalf of the Department of Education. They allow billionaires and his minions to come in. I don't know who he is, I don't know who he is, but I know who I am. And I'm a member of Congress with oversight responsibilities trying to request a meeting and a private security contractor is not allowing me to enter the building. I haven't seen Democrats this upset since yesterday, right? Since, I know.
Starting point is 00:06:34 I'm not an admirer of Maxine Waters. She does produce great comedy. Oh, yes. Okay, when I need to laugh, I'll watch a Maxine Waters video. I know that they wanted to go in there and create a photo op. They got one on the outside, but they wanted one on the inside. I get that. But to be fair, you cannot close a public building during working hours, especially using private security guards, they're not government employees.
Starting point is 00:07:11 And he was wearing a brown shirt. You actually said that out loud. Poor choice of colors. It shouldn't be a brown shirt, okay? Lord have mercy. Well, Doc, some years ago, and I don't, you know, my memory, I don't remember if it was the Biden administration or the Obama administration. They had, and it was something, if I recall, at the border.
Starting point is 00:07:36 But they had private security thugs, and all of them were dressed in brown shirts. Wow. I forgot about that. I'm certain it was at the border. I don't remember which administration. It was either Biden or it could have been Obama. I've been doing this for so long. Some of it, it becomes a blur. But I'm just saying, legally, you can't stop elected members of the United States Congress from entering a federal building.
Starting point is 00:08:11 You can't stop citizens who are not a threat. Doc, if a citizen is not a threat, you don't have the right to stop a citizen. What was the whole argument about January 6th? That people had access to the Capitol. They had a right to go into the Capitol, right? Look, I'm being fair. I'm not choosing sides. I'm just being fair.
Starting point is 00:08:41 They had the right to go in. But the reality is they didn't go in. They couldn't go in because an armed private security officer who was not a government employee, not on a U.S. payroll, private contractor, was blocking elected members of Congress. I don't like this feeling. Now, again, I know they were going in there to create something for the nightly news. And I would be surprised if any of them had ever actually been in the building before. They probably had been on a tour or something.
Starting point is 00:09:18 But I just think it was handled the wrong way. Yeah. They should have allowed them into the lobby. They didn't have to allow them into the main office. That was the argument about January 6th. Let the people in the congressional building, into the Capitol. Where they went wrong is when they forced their way into private offices. That's where the January 6th guys went wrong is when they forced their way into private offices. Right. That's where the January 6th guys went wrong.
Starting point is 00:09:49 They were not allowed to do that. But to go inside the Capitol building, which is open a lot of people angry right now by being fair. Well, you are being fair. be in the Capitol to express their opinions, then these elected members of Congress had the right to be in the lobby of the Department of Education. They didn't have the right to go marching down hallways and banging on doors, which a couple Democrats did the other day. Let's see whose office. It was the Speaker's office.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Oh, yes. That's right. They forced their way into Speaker Johnson's office. Right. It's illegal. Oh, yes. as a senator, representative, you've got to act the role. You don't behave that way. So that's what's happening out there. Now, Congressman Maxwell Frost, who's a Democrat from Florida, very young member of the House, and he went on social media and he said they are blocking members of Congress from entering the Department of Education. Elon is allowed in and not the people. Okay, so he's making a point. I got a video. This is Congressman Frost
Starting point is 00:11:39 giving a live report at the time of what was happening. Hey, everybody. I'm here with multiple members of Congress. We're here to go to the Department of Education to fight for education, and they have locked the doors. They're not letting us in. It says all access entrance. There's this random guy out here who's refusing to let us in. And right here, what's his name? His name is Jim Harfield. And right here, they have armed officers as well, acting like we're dangerous. A year ago, I'd be able to walk into this building and not be locked out. This is what they're doing.
Starting point is 00:12:13 Elon is allowed in, but not you, not your elected representatives, not parents, not students. Elon can go in, his goons can go in, but not the representatives of the people. So what would have happened if members of the Congress would have opened the door, a door that says public access, opened it during normal working hours, and told the guy in the brown shirt, you're not a government employee. Get out of the way. We're going in. What would have happened? Would he have been authorized to shoot members of Congress?
Starting point is 00:12:54 I don't know. Do you see where we're going? Sure. Do you see where we're going? Then you had uniformed officers inside, too. And what were they going to do? Were they going to shoot members of Congress? Were they going to mace them?
Starting point is 00:13:11 I don't like this. I don't like it at all. I don't like the feeling. It's a bad president. My constitutional attitude is coming out right now. Okay? Fair is fair. Right is right.
Starting point is 00:13:26 You can't say some one group has the right to go into the Capitol building on January 6 and express their views. And another group doesn't have the right to go into the Department of Education and express their views. You're making a good point there. So if you if you're going to defend one group, you got to defend them all. That's that's the American way. So I don't like this. Again, I'm not going to support what they stand for, but I will support their right to stand for it.
Starting point is 00:13:59 I like that. But then I didn't get elected to Congress. The people weren't interested. Well, the Democrats know what Elon and his team... I'm too conservative for the Republican Party. I'm too constitutional for the Republican Party. That's where we're at, Doc. Yeah. that's where we're at doc yeah um the next story mbc news usaid to be reduced to about 900 or 290 foreign officers and civil servants
Starting point is 00:14:39 mbc reporting the u.s agency for International Development is expected to be reduced to about 290 workers from more than 5,000 foreign service officers, civil servants, and personal service contractors that it currently employs. They're going from 5,000 to 290. And really, if you count all the employees, it's closer to 10,000. Right. So what the Trump administration is doing, because USAID was established by an act of Congress, they're keeping the lights on, but they're cutting it to the bone. Yes. And there's hardly anybody that's going to be inside the building.
Starting point is 00:15:30 It says most of the approximately 3,000 institutional support contractors have already been fired. The status of approximately 5,000 foreign service nationals serving around the world is not yet clear. The Bureaus of Humanitarian Assistance, Global Health, and Management are expected to retain the most staff members. But under the expected plan, only 12 would be dedicated to the entire continent of Africa, 8 for all of Asia. Europe, which had 600 dedicated employees, will be reduced to 10. So USAID is over for the time being. Now, the news media is making a lot of noise saying Donald Trump and Elon Musk and right-wingers on the internet are spreading propaganda, misinformation about USAID. That they're funding news organizations.
Starting point is 00:16:37 And this is propaganda. It is, these are lies and disinformation. Well, look what I found today. This is one of those, well, looky here. Okay? And it is a looky here. I got this out of a news organization in Turkey. Yes.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Not the United States. I found it in Turkey. USAID funded 6,200 journalists and supported 707 media outlets globally. And who said this? Reporters Without Borders, that's an NGO, revealed that USAID funded the 6,200 journalists, 707 non-state media outlets, and 279 media-focused NGOs in the year 2023. Now, I want to state something. True News, we are almost ready to go into our 26th anniversary coming up in May of this year. So we're a quarter of a century.
Starting point is 00:17:46 True News has been operating. And we've operated solely with private, independent donations from just everyday people. We don't get any government money. We don't get George Soros money. No Putin money? We don't get Putin money. We don't get George Soros money. We don't get Putin money. We don't get Putin money. We don't get Beijing money. Yeah, but we don't get think tank money
Starting point is 00:18:10 in America. We don't get money from anybody except just regular people. And I've had to work hard to keep this going for 25 years. Really hard. And never having enough to do what we want to do
Starting point is 00:18:26 to hire the people that we want to go the places we want to go you know what the game is rigged and it's been rigged for a long time and as you have said many times it's a club and you ain't at it
Starting point is 00:18:41 but these organizations 6200 reporters, 707 media outlets, 279 media-focused NGOs, they were in the club, and they got money. And guess what? This NGO, Reporters Without Borders, Doc said to me just before the program started, he said, they're going to have to change their name to Reporters Without Money. Yeah. Because that's what this is about.
Starting point is 00:19:12 The money has dried up. See, they don't have faith. We have faith. That's right. You can't dry our money up. Their faith was in government support. You can't dry our funds up. You could put True News in a desert and a spring would open up because we're funded by God.
Starting point is 00:19:35 So they can't stop us. God's blessings like water. It's just going to find us. But these guys don't know how to do that. That's right. It said that the 2025 U.S. foreign aid budget allocated $268 million to support what they're describing as independent media and the free flow of information. The organization reported citing a now removed fact sheet. They don't want you to know how much money they were getting. Now, the agency had been using these funds to provide training and support to what they say is strengthen independent media, including large media organizations and smaller or individual media sources
Starting point is 00:20:14 operating under, quote, repressive conditions. Reporters without borders also highlighted that USAID is the primary donor for independent media in Ukraine, where nine out of ten outlets rely on international subsidies. Let that sink in, folks. We should move to Ukraine. That's right. Yeah, we'd get money there. We'd be funded.
Starting point is 00:20:40 You'd just have to dodge the rockets and the bullets. So Reporters Without Borders said that they need $96 million over the next three years to rebuild the independent media landscape, which has been weakened by war in the country of Ukraine. That's just Ukraine, folks. Ukraine, 96 million. They need 96 million there. Reporters Without Borders denounced the aid freeze, stating it has plunged NGOs, media outlets, and journalists into chaotic uncertainty. Before today, I didn't know. I just assumed that fat cats and corporations funded Reporters Without Borders. I had no idea.
Starting point is 00:21:17 I had no idea that the U.S. government was subsidizing Reporters Without Borders. They're doing the same thing with doctors without borders, too. So, Doc, the U.S. government and the American news media, they always trash talk RT, Russia Today. Right. Putin's state-funded news network. Right. Well, yeah, it is. And so is—
Starting point is 00:21:42 Well, so is all this other stuff. 707 media outlets. So the U.S. government has been funding news organizations all over the world. And what has been the narrative of those news organizations? The U.S. government's narrative. Yes. These are propaganda payments. That's all it is, propaganda payments.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Play the game, you get money. Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has been talking a lot about USAID money going to reporters, but she's connecting it to Project Mockingbird. I love this one. Back in the 70s, which I remember the hearings by Senator Frank Church of Utah. Not Utah, Idaho. Senator Frank Church. Back when Democrats were good guys, okay? He was a Democrat and he went after the CIA. For this very thing. For this thing,
Starting point is 00:22:53 the CIA was financing news reporters in the United States. And the CIA promised, we'll never do that again. Never again. So what do they do? They create the USAID, and they move the money over there. Right. All right. Here's Congresswoman Luna. So we know now that USAID was funding so many news outlets to include the BBC. So I want to remind people, remember that Project Mockingbird that was declassified was actually a CIA op during the Cold War to actually use media to influence people, to include the American people. So are we surprised that USAID, which is also doing a lot of the dirty work for the intelligence agencies, was caught red-handed funding massive propaganda outlets, not just in the United States, but across the world? No, we're not surprised at all. However, does it need to continue? Absolutely not, which is exactly why it's really important that Doge
Starting point is 00:23:40 continues the work that it needs to be doing. Now, I just want to be clear about something. I absolutely think that what Elon specifically is doing is dangerous, probably to his life, because he's pissing off a lot of people. But he has the security and he has the ability to do it. So continue onward, onward, onward. So, Doc, you know, several years ago, we went through a pretty rough season when a lot of news organizations were writing ugly things about me in True News. Yes. Calling me all kinds of names.
Starting point is 00:24:10 The New York Times, NBC. I lost track of all the, you know. You wonder how many of those reporters were on the dole. Maybe not money from the U.S. government, but maybe money from another foreign government. Right. Or routed to an NGO. Does Israel fund reporters in the United States? It's very possible, Rick. Isn't this a good question to ask? Are there American reporters and news organizations
Starting point is 00:24:42 getting money from Israel, getting money from Germany or France? These are good questions to ask. How many news organizations get money from foreign sources? Because people are just focusing right now on USAID. Right. Well, let's pull the lid off the septic tank and let's shine a light down in it and just see what's floating
Starting point is 00:25:09 in there. Okay? I bet it's ugly and nasty. I'm sure it is. Guess who else was getting money? Oh, yes. The Episcopal Bishop. There she is, her lesbian
Starting point is 00:25:22 self. Episcopal Bishop lectures Trump while earning taxpayer millions to bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Now, of course, you remember when this happened. This was the day after the inauguration. Is that her Burger King crown? You can't do that, Rick, when I'm talking. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:25:41 I'm sorry. I'm just looking at it. I'm thinking, I don't know, it was making me hungry for a double cheeseburger. Anyway, you remember this lady,
Starting point is 00:25:54 Episcopal Bishop Miriam Buda and her sermon to President Trump the day after the inauguration. Coupled with her church's advocacy for humanitarian immigration programs, revealed a striking hypocrisy, the New York Post reports, one that could be seen as self-serving and even a conflict of interest.
Starting point is 00:26:13 And actually, this story took place before the USAID story broke. Apparently, the organization which she is heavily involved with and leads has received not just a little bit of money, but a lot of money. The federal contracting arm of the church called Episcopal Migration Ministry, or EMM, was paid to bring in people on resettlement programs that President Trump has temporarily paused and targeted for reevaluation. The EM budgets for 2024 are not available yet, but in 2023, look at this number. It earned $53 million from various taxpayer-funded government programs to resettle 3,600 individuals. Start doing the math on that real quick, and you'll see how much money we really waste, Rick. EMN sponsored 6,400 individuals from 48 countries in 2024. The leading nationalities were Afghans under a special humanitarian program, refugees from the Democratic
Starting point is 00:27:21 Republic of Congo, which we've seen news stories coming out of there lately, and others in smaller numbers from seven distinct special resettlement programs. Now, I'm okay with churches being involved and helping people and providing services to them, not illegal services, of course, but Rick, I am opposed personally as a preacher to the federal government giving any church, any synagogue, any mosque, any temple, any kind of money for this at all. That's where I land on this particular story. Oh, Doc, we've just been doing this wrong. We've been doing it. Obviously.
Starting point is 00:28:04 We've been doing it by faith the whole time. Yeah, we should have had a grant guy. We could have had news money coming in. Could have built a studio in D.C. And then we could have taken in some illegal immigrants and we could have collected millions of dollars. Yes. Why are we working this hard? Why are we working so hard?
Starting point is 00:28:24 That's a great question. Just why are we doing it? We're doing it the wrong way. Everybody else is out there riding the gravy train. And we've been doing it the wrong way the whole time. Doing it by faith. Well, looks like the gravy train has come to an abrupt halt. Oh, it's derailed.
Starting point is 00:28:48 I mean, it's a mess now. And how are they ever going to restart it? Right. How are they ever going to restart it? Where is the public support for gravy train? Yes. Where's the Gravy Train lobby? You know, who are the people out there saying,
Starting point is 00:29:10 we have a right to government money? We have a right as reporters to be funded to write stories the government wants. Why? Why should the government give you money to report the news? Why? Well, because it went in their bank account. That's why.
Starting point is 00:29:28 That's the legitimate reason. It went in their bank account. They were prostitutes. Yes. Alright? They were members of the press and they acted like prostitutes. And they were available for hire. And this was a global operation.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Yes, it was. While we're on the topic of And they were available for hire. And this was a global operation. Yes, it was. Wow. Let's talk, while we're on the topic of illegal immigrants, oh boy, this next one. Border Czar Tom Homan appeared on ABC News, and they just kept saying the same thing to him, and he kept giving them the same answer. Yeah, you got to hand it to Tom Holman. He stays on script. I mean, he stays on. He doesn't wander, doesn't go off on a rabbit trail.
Starting point is 00:30:15 He stays on script. And he's not intimidated by them. So you'll see the ABC News reporters were like, but Mr. Holman, why are federal agents, why are you raiding car washes? Because that's where the illegals are. He says the illegals are there. That's why. We broke this up into two parts. Here's the first part.
Starting point is 00:30:41 Border Czar Tom Holman joining us now. Good to see you. Appreciate your time. Thanks for having me. Let's talk about the raids that we've been reporting on the initial phase all about going in for those criminals, the violent criminals. Now I'm reading about car washes, going after certain businesses, arrests being made. If you're an illegal immigrant, you're out of there.
Starting point is 00:31:02 So tell us exactly how many of these arrests actually involve people with criminal records other than a legal entry? Look, I'm looking at the numbers this morning. We're about 14,000 arrests and about 76 percent of them are criminals. That's a target of the operation, right? But the collateral arrests happen when we're looking for the bad guy, and we find others with them. And we have told ICE officers they're going to enforce the law. Unlike the last administration, we're not telling ICE agents, ignore the OCTUC, ignore the immigration law. Your immigration officers enforce those laws.
Starting point is 00:31:37 And here's the problem. I would love to arrest a bad guy in a city or county jail, but in sanctuary cities we don't have access. So they're going to release a public safety threat back into the community, which I think is foolish. Puts the community at risk, puts our officers at risk, and puts the alien at risk, because anything can happen on street arrest. So if sanctuary cities want to force me in the community to find a bad guy, that's what we'll do. And when we find a bad guy, many times with others, if they're in a country of degree, they're coming too. Let me ask you about the numbers. It's been reported that you've got a goal of 1,500 arrests per day. Are you hitting that?
Starting point is 00:32:12 Is there pressure to reach that goal, to get the numbers up? I don't have a quota. I don't have a goal. I want to arrest as many as we can arrest. So there's no word from the White House, we need more numbers. I have sent no quota out there. But I've told ICE, I have asked the question this morning, are you happy with the number of ICE arrests? No, I'm not. We need to do more. We got over 700,000 illegal inmates in this country with a criminal
Starting point is 00:32:34 conviction. So 500 a day? No, it's not good enough. We need to find these people and take them off the street. You talk about taking down the violent criminals, the gang members, but then the illegal immigrants at places like the car washes and other businesses. What's your message to businesses if they have these folks working for them right now? Well, I think I saw from day one, the president's been clear, we're concentrating on public safety threats and national security threats. But if you're in the country illegally, you're not off the table, but you're not going to be a priority. But I'm sure the car wash,, you're not off the table, but you're not going to be a priority. But I'm sure the Car Wash, I'm not familiar with that operation, but I'm sure they're
Starting point is 00:33:08 looking for a criminal, and they didn't find, they found others. But work site enforcement is coming back. So, and why? Because, number one, a lot of the employers will employ illegal aliens. No one hires an illegal alien out of the goodness of their heart. They hire them because they work them hard to pay them, unless they're under the competition as U.S, as employees. But most importantly,
Starting point is 00:33:27 where do we find most victims of trafficking? Worksites. They have to pay the cartels off, they force them into labor situations, overwork them, abuse them. So many victims of trafficking are found at worksites. So that's another reason why we're doing worksite enforcement operations.
Starting point is 00:33:43 So during the campaign, President Trump talked about going after hardened criminals, right? The worst of the worst. Is that really who you're finding right now? The Washington Post we were just talking about has a story about a man who's been in the country 24 years. He's got four children here. Works at a chicken processing plant, which, you know, sometimes get hard up for labor. And he had one conviction of driving without a license,
Starting point is 00:34:07 and he's now being deported. Is that really what you want to do? Two things. The priority right now is public safety threats and that's the security threats, and everybody we go to arrest, when we arrest a public safety threat, we know exactly who we're looking for,
Starting point is 00:34:22 more or less where we're likely to find them, and other information. We have his criminal history, we have exactly who we're looking for, more or less where we're likely to find them, and other information. We have his criminal history, we have his immigration history. These are planned enforcement operations. It's not a suite. We're not going through neighborhoods looking for people different than us. These are well-planned, investigated leads. Then we go out and look for the person we're looking for.
Starting point is 00:34:39 What, that person just messaged? Is that country illegally? Yeah. He shouldn't be here. He's got four kids. He's working four kids. He's working. If we want to send a message to the whole world, it's okay to enter the country illegally.
Starting point is 00:34:49 It's a crime, but don't worry about it. Hide out long enough and have a U.S. citizen child, you're immune. If that's the message we send to the whole world, they're going to keep entering this country illegally. More aliens would die making that journey. You'll keep overwhelming the border. When the border gets overwhelmed,
Starting point is 00:35:03 that's when the fentanyl comes across the court and kills a quarter million Americans. That's when sex trafficking goes up 600 percent. That's when the numbers of known suspected terrorists cross the border, when the border gets overwhelmed. If you're in this country illegally, you've got a problem. It's not okay to enter this country illegally. It is a crime. Fair enough. So you're not just going after hardened criminals and the worst of the worst. Well, absolutely. That is our priority. Not just. That is our priority, but that doesn't mean everybody else is off the table.
Starting point is 00:35:30 If we run into somebody, it's not a priority. We will enforce immigration law. Name another federal agency or another law enforcement agency that we tell them, don't enforce the law. It's just ice. He makes a very good point there. Any other agency, U.S. Marshals, anybody? What if the U.S. Marshals said, you can go. You can go. We know you're a criminal.
Starting point is 00:35:54 We know you're breaking the law. But you can go. Those two ABC News reporters, they just didn't know what to do. They didn't know what to say. Because the narrative has been changed. They've been driving the narrative for decades. I say they, the media. And now the narrative has changed.
Starting point is 00:36:13 And they are in the minority. They don't know what to do. Now, the next video, this is still from ABC News. Mr. Homan, he was asked about the use of the U.S. military. He was very blunt. Yes, the U.S. military will be used against a cartel. Let's watch. So let me ask you about the cartels. They've made a clear warning to you and to the United States that, you know, we're going to escalate our violence. So now we're seeing not only Mexican troops after this deal that Trump made with Mexico's president
Starting point is 00:36:42 and also U.S. troops headed to the border. How are you going to utilize the military? You know, we know what the military can and can't do domestically. But in a scenario like this, how do you plan on using the military? Could they get involved in the violence if the cartels strike? Yes. And we expect them to. But the Mexican military, President Trump, to be able to get Mexico to put military on their northern border, that will certainly help. I think the cartels would be foolish to take on Mexican military, President Trump's able to get Mexico to put military on their northern border. That will certainly help. I think the cartels would be foolish to take on the military, but we know they've taken on the Mexican military before. But now we have the United States military on the border. We've got the men and women of the Border Patrol.
Starting point is 00:37:15 Do I expect violence to escalate? Absolutely, because the cartels are making record amounts of money. They're making record amounts of money in alien smuggling and trafficking of women and children and drugs. However, as we secure the border, we've gone a long ways to secure the border. Crossings are down like 76%. We're taking money out of their pocket. They're not going to wait quietly, and that's why President Trump designated them terrorist organizations. I would send a warning to them. You heard a border chalenge, you heard a soldier. The wrath of President Trump is going to come down.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Does that mean the military, our troops, U.S. military, at the border, with weapons, using weapons, if need be? They need to protect themselves. But the cartels, again, let me give the cartels a warning. If you harm a border patrol agent or a soldier, the whole world is going to come down on you. President Trump is a strong president. He is strong enough and he has the ability to wipe them off the face of the earth. Now, that's the reason they were called terrorist organizations, designated terrorist organizations,
Starting point is 00:38:16 because they've killed more Americans with their fentanyl, their drugs, than any terrorist organization in the world. They are now designated terrorists. Do not harm our troops or President Trump will bring hell rain down. And he has the ability to wipe them off the face of the earth. They can claim they're a pretty tough organization, the cartels, and they are, but they're not stronger than the power of President Trump. You know, Rick, there are times I get frustrated with reporters and anchors and the questions that
Starting point is 00:38:41 they ask. You know, she started off with, well, now, what will the U.S. military do to the cartels? Well, what do you want them to do? Set up cots and invite them in? Take them over to Dunkin' Donuts. The military only has one purpose, just one purpose, and that's to blow things up. Right. So what are we going to do to the cartels? We're going to blow them up.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Mr. Holman is very, very blunt. Yes, the military will take them out. And this should have happened a long time ago. A long time ago. A very long time ago. I've said for quite some time, when we finally get to the point of cleaning up the mess, it's going to be very nasty. Yeah, and when you are cleaning up a mess, it's messy. Yes.
Starting point is 00:39:34 You can't clean up a mess and stay tidy. You're going to get dirty cleaning up the mess, and that's where we're at right now. The next one. CBS News. Trump officials eye daily migrant detainee flights to Guantanamo Bay. So we're going to have daily flights to Cuba. Yes, illegal air. Doc, I'm telling you, any illegal immigrant who is a serious criminal and we're not talking about you know the nannies and the
Starting point is 00:40:08 gardeners and the lawn care people we're talking about the rapists the child molesters the killers if they had any sense at all they would get out of this country yesterday
Starting point is 00:40:23 because you're going to go to Guantanamo Bay and you're never going to get out. And bad stuff is going to happen to you there. So CBS said the U.S. government officials are moving rapidly to fulfill President Trump's order to turn the American naval base at Guantanamo Bay into a massive immigration detention complex, making plans to send daily flights there with migrant detainees. So far, two U.S. military flights have been sent to Guantanamo this week with fewer than two dozen migrant detainees who officials have said have alleged ties to a notorious Venezuelan prison gang. He goes on to say the administration's objective is to send groups of unauthorized migrants. See, they can't.
Starting point is 00:41:16 CBS. Unauthorized migrants. Illegal aliens. Say it, CBS. How about criminals? Would Walter say it? Would Walter Cronkite say illegal aliens? You know, well, Doc, he was a globalist.
Starting point is 00:41:29 I know he is. He was a longtime member of the World Government Association and promoted world government. So I don't know, Doc. He wanted a world without borders. You got a point there. But they're currently using military aircraft to airlift and relocate the detainees. I like the way they continue to phrase this. Requesting anonymity to discuss internal plans that have not been formally announced.
Starting point is 00:42:00 More migrant detainee flights to Guantanamo are planned for Friday and the weekend. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is actually in Guantanamo Bay today assessing officials' efforts to set up and prepare enough detention space to hold 30,000. And when it's full, they're going to send them to El Salvador. Yes. And if El Salvador's mega prison is full, they'll going to send them to El Salvador. Yes. And if El Salvador's mega prison is full, they'll build new ones. That's right. There's a lot of space in the world to build prisons. That's right.
Starting point is 00:42:38 Military.com reporting, the U.S. Air Force has troops removing their names and unit patches from uniforms during the deportation flights. Military.com says Air Force crew members and security forces on deportation flights are not wearing their name tape or unit patches, contributing to a lack of transparency as the service obscures details of its involvement in the border mission. See how they frame that, a lack of transparency. Well, they're not telling us who the names of the troops are. Well, the reason why, they're trying to protect the troops from retribution by these gangs. How about the soldiers' wives and children?
Starting point is 00:43:19 Right. But no, we're not transparent enough. The next one, CNN expert identifies doomsday scenario with Trump that attorneys are worried about. Now, this is getting into the issue kind of like going back to at the beginning of the program, we were talking about the Department of Education. There have already been, I don't know, half dozen federal judges who have issued orders restraining President Trump from certain things. Like the judge on birthright citizenship and several others. So they're discussing on CNN what happens when Donald Trump defies a federal judge. And I told you, Doc, before the election, we're coming to this place.
Starting point is 00:44:07 This is going to happen. Now, I had a solution for it. I know you do. I had a solution, but the Republican Party didn't want me in Congress, so I didn't introduce the bill. I would have introduced a bill to abolish the federal court system. And before everybody out there starts having a heart attack, there's nothing in the Constitution that mandates any particular federal court system at all. Other than the Supreme Court.
Starting point is 00:44:36 That's right. The Constitution says there shall be a Supreme Court, but it says the Congress may establish federal courts. So unmay it. Just repeal all the laws that establish federal courts and dismiss all the judges. And then pass a new court system and Donald Trump appoints all the judges. Could Donald Trump get rid of the federal court system himself? It's in the executive branch, isn't it? No. get rid of the federal court system himself? It's in the executive branch, isn't it? No, but I'll tell you where this lawyer, I think he's a professor.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Do I have his name here? No, I didn't include his name. I'm sorry about that. What he's suggesting is because the Supreme Court gave the president unlimited immunity. What he's saying is, what's stopping President Trump from just ignoring federal judges and saying, what are you going to do about it? Plus, he's in control of the Department of Justice,
Starting point is 00:45:40 so if the Attorney General refuses to order government agencies to comply with a judge's orders, who's going to make the attorney general do it? That's right. So the point is the constitutional scholar, the professor said, this is a doomsday scenario. We're headed in this direction. He wasn't, the professor didn't come across as, you know, anti-Trump. He just said, I fear this is where we're going. There's going to be a showdown. President Trump's going to order the attorney general to defy the judges.
Starting point is 00:46:18 Yes. It's happening. But Lincoln did it. Donald Trump's going to win on this. I'm telling you Donald Trump's going to win on this. I'm telling you, he's going to win on this. Miami Herald, FBI's top agent in Miami office forced out. Yes, this is an interesting story here because there's a lot of speculation as to why he was forced out. This is Jeffrey Veltri that you're seeing there on the screen. He was named as head of the FBI Miami field office
Starting point is 00:46:53 back in March of 2023, seven months after federal agents raided Donald Trump's Palm Beach estate in search of classified documents. He allegedly took Mar-a-Lago after losing the presidency. Now, Veltri, the FBI special agent in charge, had been forced out in an escalating purge by senior officials. Remember, this is Miami Herald saying this. After the senior officials in the Department of Justice who took over the agency after President Trump was sworn in as president. It's not clear why Veltri was forced out because the FBI in Miami and Washington won't comment. He may have been targeted by the Justice Department because his
Starting point is 00:47:36 field office was actively involved in the Trump classified documents case, though it was run by special counsel Jack Smith and his team in Washington. There's more to this. Listen, Veltri was leading the South Florida office when Trump was indicted in June of 2023 on charges of withholding top secret documents and conspiring with two of his Mar-a-Lago employees to obstruct efforts to retrieve them. Now, Veltri ran one of the FBI's biggest field offices in the country with more than 400 special agents in the Southern District of Florida. During his nearly two-year tenure, his office gained attention for not only investigating the documents case, but the
Starting point is 00:48:16 attempted assassination of Donald Trump during his relation campaign in September. That's the guy that was hiding in the shrubbery at mar-a-lago whatever happened to him that's right that's that's off the news isn't it well and we don't even talk about the assassination attempts anymore no but where's that guy where's the trial yeah when's he coming up on trial well this guy was in charge of the investigation. For some reason, the Trump administration removed him suddenly from the FBI.
Starting point is 00:48:52 The purge is on. This is a purge, isn't it? This is a cleansing. Daily Mail, stunning number of federal workers taking Trump's buyout offer revealed. 65,000 so far have decided to take a walk.
Starting point is 00:49:10 London Times, Trump offers to build a $100 million ballroom at the White House and pay for it. That's the thing that surprised me, Doc. He offered to pay for it. And apparently he had offered the Biden administration the opportunity to build a ballroom for the White House. Yes. So President Trump has proposed building a $100 million ballroom at the White House to host parties and state dinners. Speaking during a signing ceremony on Wednesday in the East Room, the largest room in the White House, President Trump said he wanted to build a ballroom like I have at Mar-a-Lago. We actually have a soundbite of President Trump announcing this in another
Starting point is 00:49:50 setting here. Watch this. It's packed and, you know, I offered to build a ballroom. I'm very good at building ballrooms. I build beautiful ballrooms. And I actually offered to build a ballroom for the White House. I was going to build it right there. This was going to be the reception room. And then I was going to build a beautiful, beautiful ballroom like I have at Mar-a-Lago, as beautiful as it can be. It was going to cost about $100 million. I offered to do it, and I never heard back. I offered to do it to the Biden administration,
Starting point is 00:50:21 very active administration. They didn't hear back. And I said again and again, three, four times, I said to top people, and they just didn't know what to do. They sort of said, this is good, but they had no idea. So I'm going to try and make the offer to myself, you know, because we could use a bigger room. Right, Marsha?
Starting point is 00:50:42 We could use a bigger room. President, would you like to build? Yeah, I would. We could use at the White House. It would actually be a beautiful addition. It's going to cost nothing. I'll spend the whole thing myself. We'll do a big, beautiful room, but we could use it at the White House.
Starting point is 00:50:58 You know what they do when they have a big ceremony to put up a tent? And somehow I think we've outgrown the tent stuff, right? Don't you think? So we'll see if they can, we'll see if Trump will approve it. Have you ever seen anything like this? No. A president self-financing a $100 million addition to the White House. Yes.
Starting point is 00:51:23 And every president from here on out, no matter how long America continues to exist, they'll have to go into the Trump ballroom. That's right. And it will always be called. Every time they'll think Donald Trump built this. Well, it'll be. Don't you think there'll be a sign on the door that says the Trump ballroom? Yeah. New York Post.
Starting point is 00:51:46 I'm going to go through these quickly here. J.D. Vance tapped to oversee the TikTok sale. One of the people trying to buy it is Kevin O'Leary from Shark Tank. Yes. Excuse me. Nancy Pelosi. She lives in a different universe. She said the Democrats did not lose the election.
Starting point is 00:52:07 Let's watch. President Biden has said that he thinks he could have won if he hadn't been pressured to step down. Do you agree? Well, all I know is that we won a seat in the House. We did not lose any seats. You know, people were like, well, the Democrats lost. No, we did not lose any seats. You know, people were like, well, the Democrats lost. No, we did not. I think it would have been quite different with President Biden at the top of the ticket. He just would have lost bigger is all. There's Nancy. Black Hawk helicopter,
Starting point is 00:52:38 this is a telegraph in London. Black Hawk helicopter had safety system turned off during Washington plane crash. This story just gets weirder and weirder. And the pilot was a Biden White House aide. Yes, had served in the Biden White House. What was going on in this crash? So the Telegraph is reporting, and I saw the story last night, a key safety system was turned off in the U.S. Army helicopter when it crashed into the American Airlines flight last week that ended up killing a total of 67 people. Now, Senator Ted Cruz, the chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee,
Starting point is 00:53:17 told reporters that the Black Hawk helicopter had switched off an advanced surveillance technology known as Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast, or ADS-B. He's quoted as saying, This was a training mission, so there was no compelling national security reason for ADS-B to be turned off, Senator Cruz said on Thursday following a briefing from federal transport bodies. Senator Cruz said the helicopter would still have appeared on radar, which it did, because it had a transponder on it, but said ADS-B would have been significantly more accurate. And the reason why is radar only tells you basically location, but vertically it has some challenges. That's why it would show up on radar. But you wouldn't know exactly within, except for like a thousand foot limit of where a
Starting point is 00:54:17 particular body was in relation to someone else. And so this really bugs me, Rick, because they've had the ADS-B system in Blackhawks when I was in the military. I know because I had to pull out the ADS-B boxes. Why would it be turned off in one of the most congested airspaces in the world, in the nation's capital? Yes. It just doesn't make sense. It stinks to me. Something stinks on this.
Starting point is 00:54:45 Yes. And I don't know what it is. Number 22, NATO allies discuss sending EU troops to Greenland after Trump threats. And the leader of this movement is Olaf Scholz of Germany. So they're actually planning or thinking about, at least talking, about sending troops to Greenland to defend Greenland from the United States. Yes, NATO troops. But they have a problem, and that's the Article 5 issue. What if there's a shootout? Who attacks who? If everybody's a member of NATO. Jerusalem Post, Trump administration says the Israeli Defense Force must completely withdraw from Lebanon by February 18.
Starting point is 00:55:33 Yeah, and this was from the new envoy, or deputy envoy. This is coming from Morgan Ortegas, and she spoke about this earlier at a press conference in Beirut. Well, that press conference, it stirred up a lot of talk on social media because people zoomed in on her ring. Yes. And here's I-24 News. U.S. envoy Zionist Ring sends shockwaves on social media. Do you see her ring? Yes, I do.
Starting point is 00:56:04 And her pendant? She often wears the pendant as well. So it's easy to get appointed in Washington if you are a Zionist. Yes. It's easy. It's a fast track to the top. Isn't that amazing? It doesn't matter if it's a Democrat president or Republican president.
Starting point is 00:56:25 It's a fast track to the top. Somehow they just get all the good positions. All of them. They get all the good, juicy positions. I'm going to skip this one. It's too long. It's talking about the Trump plan to relocate millions of Palestinians. However, I did find a video of the Trump team negotiating with the Palestinians to leave Palestine.
Starting point is 00:57:01 And this is exclusive video. This is a member of the Trump administration in Gaza talking to the Palestinians, telling them about a great plan to just leave Palestine. Let's watch. The United States government is offering you a piece of land of your own. We have our own land.
Starting point is 00:57:25 No, it's not yours. It's the U.S. government's. Did they buy it? No. Did they trade for it? It's not like that. Then how can they own it? He has a point.
Starting point is 00:57:43 We will give you everything you need If you will just submit to living on a reservation We need nothing from you You can depend on your country to take care of you You are not my country Mr. Durant, if we could just... Senator Crane has come here To offer your people a better way of life.
Starting point is 00:58:08 Better than what? Better than what you have. I like what I have. Isn't that what we're doing? It's exactly what the Zionists are doing to the Palestinian people. And there's nobody to defend them. They are the most defenseless people in the world right now. And don't forget, their ancestors saw and heard Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 00:58:44 Many of those Palestinians are Christians. They've been Christians for 2,000 years because their ancestors saw and heard Jesus Christ. Let's jump over, I've got just a few seconds here. Number 29, NBC New York, live poultry markets ordered to shut in New York City
Starting point is 00:59:05 due to avian flu outbreak. Doc, I didn't know you could buy a live chicken in New York City. I've been to New York City many times and it never occurred to me I could go buy a live chicken. Now, if I were in Fort Worth... Yeah, you could maybe expect that.
Starting point is 00:59:22 I could, yeah. I knew where to go in Fort Worth to get livestock. Weatherford, Texas or Stephenville, Texas. I knew all the places to go get live. But I didn't know there were live bird markets in New York City. In New York City, you can buy live chickens. But not now because the governor shut them down. Governor Hochul, Kathy Hochul, all live poultry markets in New York City and suburbs
Starting point is 00:59:49 were ordered Friday to close for a week after the detection of seven cases of bird flu. Governor Hoko said that there is no immediate threat to public health and that the temporary closure of bird markets in the city and Westchester County and Long Island comes out of an abundance of caution. Here is the governor at her press conference. Good morning. I want to give an update to New Yorkers on a potential health issue that's been detected in our state. Over the last week, inspectors have detected seven cases of bird flu in poultry during routine inspections at live bird markets in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. Our state, Agin Markets, is now working closely with market owners to
Starting point is 01:00:32 depopulate all infected flocks. Out of an abundance of caution and to thwart any further transmission, we're issuing a notice and order to temporarily shut down all live bird markets in New York City, as well as in Westchester, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. The order is effective today through next Friday, February 14th. Here's what that means. For a week-long period, no poultry can be delivered to those live bird markets. Each uninfected market must sell down all inventory, undergo thorough cleaning and disinfection, and then remain closed for at least five days. Each must then be inspected by our state ag and markets before they can reopen. These are just simply measured, common-sense steps that will curb the spread of bird flu
Starting point is 01:01:20 and ultimately to keep New Yorkers safe, which is always my top priority. Now, I want to reiterate that people should not be concerned. Let me be clear, there is no immediate public health threat. We have been vigilant and will remain vigilant so New Yorkers can go about their lives with peace of mind. So if you live in an area that allows you to have chickens on your property. And you're thinking, you know, I'm going to get some chickens. And I know a lot of people are thinking that. Do you know that one of the hottest new markets is rent a chicken? Rent a chicken. You can rent chickens.
Starting point is 01:02:04 Okay. rent a chicken rent a chicken you can rent chickens okay hey well there's some innovative farmers who said hey i i got chickens and there are people want chickens and i'll rent chickens you can rent chickens right now rent a chicken it's like you can lease cattle okay so you can it's true yeah so you can lease chickens now but i'm just saying if you live in an area where you're allowed to have chickens um because i mean the the if you live in an area where you're allowed to have chickens, because, I mean, the closer you get to an urban area, the more restrictions that there are on having any kind of livestock. But if you've been thinking, well, yeah, you know, I'm going to get around to this. I'm going to put up a chicken coop. I'm going to go get me some chickens. Get me a chicken tractor, everything. What I want you to think about is how fast, how quickly, how suddenly all live poultry markets could be shut down.
Starting point is 01:02:56 Just like that. In this case, in New York. One executive order for the entire state of New York. You can't buy a live chicken today in New York. What if she extends it for a month. What if she extends it for a month? What if she extends it for a year? That's how fast this can happen. So move, act, take action if you've been thinking about it. Because most people that are thinking about getting chickens, they're doing it with a prepper mindset, right?
Starting point is 01:03:26 Sure. But you're always thinking there's always somebody selling a chicken. Right. I got a great joke, but I'm not going to tell it. Okay. I'm not going to tell it. I'll tell you later. Okay.
Starting point is 01:03:40 It's a chicken joke, okay? Well, I've got chickens in my neighborhood, and so they walk up and down the street. Do you? Yeah. So over in Lakewood. They got chickens? We have chickens. All right.
Starting point is 01:03:51 Well, that's awesome. And the reason why people have chickens is because they want eggs. That's right. Or a chicken leg. Or a chicken leg. They're a little harder, and so. I'm going to end with one more story, and I'm not going to go into the details because it's too long, and I'm over by five minutes. I'll save this for next Monday because there's some really important, fascinating things in this article.
Starting point is 01:04:18 I'm just going to tease you with the headline, Financial Times in London, gold glitters as the unimaginable becomes imaginable. So I'm going to hold you until Monday to find out what the unimaginable is. What is it that's unimaginable that may just become imaginable? It's a fascinating article. It is. Something that President Trump may do regarding gold. Yes. And, again, everything is moving in the direction of gold going up, up, and up higher per ounce.
Starting point is 01:05:03 Right. And there's a global struggle between gold and CDBCs. Mm-hmm. And that's part of the story, too. It is. But I want to encourage you to call GoldCo because they know about these things. And give them a call at 844-960-GOLD. 844-960-GOLD. 844-960-GOLD.
Starting point is 01:05:26 Just click the QR code right there on the screen. Or go to truenews4gold.com. Tell them you heard about GoldCo on True News. Ask them for the 2025 Gold and Silver Kit. It's free. Shipping is free. And ask them for information about transferring part or all of your portfolio, particularly like a retirement account, transferring it into precious metals. You're not obligated. Just ask questions, learn, gain information, make a wise decision. But when you hear what's in this article, a lot of you, I'm telling you,
Starting point is 01:06:06 this is, I was surprised as something I've never heard, never considered it, shows me how radically out of the box the Trump administration is thinking
Starting point is 01:06:17 about everything. This is radical, out of the box. Save it for Monday. God bless you. Take care. We'll be back on Monday. Here are two massively important products to have in an emergency.

And Father, we're here to praise you, to worship you, to honor you, and to be taught by your spirit.
Starting point is 01:07:37 Father, today for us is Faith Friday. And in 2025, our commitment is to build and develop and grow our faith in you. So, dear Holy Spirit, come and take your place at the head of the table and take charge of this morning man of Bible study and teach all of us about faith. The faith that you, Father, desire us to have, because it pleases you. That's all we need to know. It pleases you. And because it pleases you, we should do it. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Okay, so today we're going to be talking about your identity in Christ.
Starting point is 01:08:28 Wait a minute. I thought this was about faith. It is. If you don't know your identity in Christ, you won't have faith. Once you get your identity taken care of, the faith part is easy. Yes. of the faith part is easy yes the the lack of faith comes from a lack of understanding of your identity in christ so we're going to spend our time and if you have your bibles and i hope you do we're going to spend this entire one hour in numbersbers chapter 13 and 14.
Starting point is 01:09:05 We're going to take them verse by verse, not every single verse. We don't have time. But, Doc, I would like you to read Numbers 13, the first three verses, 1 through 3. All right. So I'm reading from the King James this morning, Numbers chapter 13, verse 1. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel. Of every tribe of their father shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them. And Moses, by the commandment
Starting point is 01:09:39 of the Lord, sent them from the wilderness of Paran. All those men were heads of the children of Israel. Okay. So the Hebrews were finally ready to enter Canaan, the land God promised to Abraham. God had instructed Moses to dispatch one man from each of the 12 tribes to enter Canaan on a spying expedition. And God desired them to see what was awaiting the Hebrews, report back to the the people and tell them what they saw now they already knew what was going to be there because God told them before they left Egypt what he was going to give to them so now doc let's read Excuse me. Exodus 13, verses 3 through 5.
Starting point is 01:10:47 Exodus 13, verses 3 through 5. Okay. Okay, Exodus 13, starting at verse 3. And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage. For by strength of hand the Lord brought you out from this place. There shall no leavened bread be eaten.
Starting point is 01:11:12 This day came ye out in the month of Eid, and it shall be when the Lord shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which ye swear unto the fathers to give thee, Amen. So, back in Exodus, when they left shall bring you into the land of the Canaanites, which he swore unto your fathers to give you a land flowing with milk and honey. Where did they think they were going? They knew it was called Canaan,
Starting point is 01:12:06 and they knew it was flowing with milk and honey. So based on what God promised their ancestors, they already a description from God about what this land was going to be like. They had a divine promise. That should have been enough. The people should have been excited over the realization that God's promise from years ago was about to be fulfilled. Amen. They should have been excited. We're here.
Starting point is 01:12:48 He said, there shall be a day. When that day arrives, when I bring you into the land of the Canaanites, the land that I swore to your fathers I would give you, you will find it to be a land flowing with milk and honey. But they had an attitude problem. The Hebrews were slaves in Egypt for 400 years. God used Moses to liberate them and lead them.
Starting point is 01:13:30 They crossed the Red Sea. They saw the miracles. He said, I'm going to take you to Canaan land. This is a promise. I swore to your fathers I would do this. But the problem with the Hebrews was they still saw themselves as slaves. They never saw themselves as liberated free men and women, children of promise, a chosen people. They were still hanging their heads down low, looking at their feet, thinking of themselves as slaves. He had God said, I'm taking you to a place called Canaan.
Starting point is 01:14:15 And he told them who was living there, a bunch of ites. I mean, what's it matter? They're all ites, all Hittites Amorites Jebusites but he told them hey they're there but I'm giving you that land and it's flowing with milk and honey so now
Starting point is 01:14:37 let's read we'll go back to numbers okay because see they've arrived at the promised land. It's there. Numbers 13, verses 17 through 20. Okay. So, picking back up at verse 17 in Numbers chapter 13.
Starting point is 01:14:59 And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan and said unto them, Get you up this way southward and go up into the mountain and see the land, what it is, and the people that dwell therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many. And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad, and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents or in strongholds. And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, and whether there be wood therein or not, and be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the first ripe grapes.
Starting point is 01:15:40 So the instruction from Moses was 12 men, one from each tribe, the leader of each tribe. The leader of each of the 12 tribes, one man from each tribe. You go together into Canaan land and spy it out and go up into the mountain and examine the mountain and look at the people living there and discern, are they weak or strong? Are they few or many? And look at where they live. Do they live in tents or do they live in fortified villages and cities. Look at the land. Is the soil fertile? Are there forests? Most of all, Moses told them, and be of good courage.
Starting point is 01:16:36 Yes. Be of good courage. Have the right attitude. Don't fear. Be bold. Be courageous. And hey, don't forget to bring back some of the grapes. Yes.
Starting point is 01:16:50 Moses wanted some grapes. He had his heart set on eating some juicy, wonderful grapes. That was his shopping list. Don't forget, Moses wants some grapes. That was his shopping list. Don't forget, Moses wants some grapes. So let's go to, and Doc, any point here, anytime you want to, I mean, anything to point out about these scriptures, please. You're doing great. Okay. Well, now let's go to Numbers 13, verses 21 through 25. Okay. Picking back up in verse 21 here.
Starting point is 01:17:30 So they went up and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath. And they ascended by the south and came to Hebron, where Ahimon, Shishai, and Talammai, the children of Anak, were. Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoham in Egypt. And they came unto the brook of Eskel and cut down from this a branch with one cluster of grapes. And they bared between two upon a staff. And they brought of the pomegranates
Starting point is 01:18:06 and of the figs. The place was called the Brook Eskel because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from there. And they returned from searching the land after 40 days. Okay.
Starting point is 01:18:22 So the men cut down a branch with a cluster of grapes so large that it required two men to carry it on a pole. So they've got it on their shoulders, and the cluster of grapes is between the two men. I think we normally think that the grapes were massive, but I don't think that's what it says. The cluster was massive. Yes. It was the cluster that was oversized. They had never seen that many grapes on a branch. They had never seen a single cluster of grapes. No doubt the grapes were large, but it wasn't like they were
Starting point is 01:19:21 five feet in diameter. It was the cluster that was so big that one man could not carry a cluster of grapes. They also found pomegranates and figs. There was fresh, clean water. It was everything God promised. Yes. A land flowing with milk and honey. The men remained in Canaan for 40 days. a land flowing with milk and honey. The men remained in Canaan for 40 days.
Starting point is 01:19:53 This is important, 40 days to search it. At the end of the 40 days, they returned to the base camp to give their report to Moses and the people. So now in verses 26 and 27, they start with their report. So, Doc, would you read verses 26 and 27? Yes, sir. And they went and came to Moses and to Aaron and to all the congregation of the children of Israel
Starting point is 01:20:18 unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh, and brought back word unto them and to all the congregation and showed them the fruit of the land. And they told him and said, We came into the land whether thou sent us
Starting point is 01:20:33 and surely it floweth with milk and honey and this is the fruit of it. So far so good, right? So far going well. All 12 spies go back to base camp they meet with Moses Aaron
Starting point is 01:20:52 says all the people of Israel were gathered in the wilderness awaiting their report the men said we entered the land you sent us, and it surely flows with milk and honey. Here's a giant cluster of grapes to prove it.
Starting point is 01:21:17 Therefore, the people had proof that God's promise to Abraham was true. They had the evidence. The word of God to Abraham was enough. But now they have physical proof. It is exactly as God promised Abraham and our fathers. We are here. The promised land is in front of us. Well, things went downhill from this point.
Starting point is 01:22:02 You can imagine the people crowding up. How many Hebrews were there, Doc? Was it a million people? from this point you can imagine the people crowding up now you know how many how many hebrews were there doc was a million people oh some estimates say as high as six million so they're they're crowding i mean obviously they can't hear everybody but those who were close to moses and aaron they're getting up as as close as they can hear to hear the report plus they saw the grapes they're looking at the grapes you know and probably people were relays like a human relay system they're turning to the people behind them saying they just said this the grapes are here they're massive clusters grapes, and it's just going through the crowd.
Starting point is 01:22:51 Now we get to verses 28 and 29, and it changes. Let's read those, Dom. All right. And 28 starts with a big word. Nevertheless, the people be strong that dwell in the land and the cities are walled and very great and moreover we saw the children of anak there the amalekites dwell in the land of the south and the hittites and the jebusites and the amorites dwell in the mountains and the canaanites dwell by the sea and by the coast of Jordan.
Starting point is 01:23:27 Here's all the problems, Rick. Yes, but God already told them. The Amalekites and the Hittites and Jebusites and Amalekites, he already told them this. Yes. God had already told Abraham, hey, this is who's going to be there. But their attitude changed. The men transitioned from the strength they required to carry out the grape cluster in the promised land to the strength of the people who lived there. They talked about the walls of their cities,
Starting point is 01:24:06 and even worse, they talked about the giants living in the land, the children of Anak. So who was Anak? Well, he was the ancestor of Anakim, which you can read about in Deuteronomy and Numbers. The race of Anakim were giants. They were known for great size and strength. And so they said, not only are the the people there are strong but we saw the Anakim we saw the children of Anak there
Starting point is 01:24:53 see there's actually two groups of people there there were some very strong men and then there were giants. Yes. There's two classes of people there. So,
Starting point is 01:25:13 Anakum was, or Anak, Anak. He said that we saw the children of Anak. So, Anak was the son of Arba, who is also in the Bible. And Joshua mentions the city of Arba in Joshua 14. Arba was the founder of Hebron,
Starting point is 01:25:44 and Hebron is still in, is still in the West Bank today. The Jews and Palestinians are fighting over Hebron. To this day. To this day. They're still fighting over it. Okay, so what's... Okay, for the sake of argument, okay? Let's say that the people there who claim to be Jews today really are, okay?
Starting point is 01:26:13 We'll go with their storyline. Why aren't they in control of Hebron today? He goes all the way back to this point. He goes all the way back to this point it goes all the way back to numbers this is thousands of years they didn't believe God when he said this is your land they didn't believe and here they are now
Starting point is 01:26:44 thousands of years later and they're still fighting to claim the land that should not have been going on for three four thousand years there's something wrong with this story which none of the christian z Zionists ever liked to talk about. But what went wrong? So I want to move down to verses. This is Numbers 13, verses 30 to 32.
Starting point is 01:27:22 Okay. All right. Picking back up at verse 30 here. And Caleb stilled the people before Moses and said, let us go up at once and possess it
Starting point is 01:27:34 for we are well able to overcome it. But the men that went up with him said, we'd be not able to go up against the people for they're stronger than we. And they brought up an evil report of the land,
Starting point is 01:27:50 which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, the land through which we have gone to search it is a land that eateth up its inhabitants thereof, and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature it's a right away Caleb detected oh wait a minute guys you what's coming out of your mouth stop it he stilled the people he stilled the people the people who were the congregation he's trying because you know what was happening? There were gasps and oohs and ahs. And, you know, he realizes, wait a minute, there's fear going through the people now.
Starting point is 01:28:38 He could feel a change in the atmosphere. The congregation of the Hebrews was changing their attitude. They were going from eager anticipation of walking into their promised land, and now they're quickly transitioning into a fearful forfeiting of their promised land. Yes. Why? Because of the words coming out of the mouth of these men the men the 10 spies who had the negative report were changing the attitude of the millions who were listening right and it was more than a negative report. The King James says an evil report.
Starting point is 01:29:29 Yes. Not just, you know, a bad report. Not just, well, it's kind of depressing. But no, an evil report, as if they had intention behind it. Yes. So Caleb wanted, he wanted to shut their mouths quickly. We can't let this poison get out. Yes. And let's go up. Let's go now. Don't wait.
Starting point is 01:29:49 And Caleb said, let's go up. Let's go right now. Let's take the land right now. We can conquer it. And the other one said, no way. We cannot defeat the people living in Canaan. They're much stronger than us. What you're asking us to do is impossible. You're asking too much. We can't do this.
Starting point is 01:30:12 But what about the promise of God? Well, it's not going to work. We didn't know. Yes, the grapes are big, but the giants are big. So Doc mentioned that King James says they brought up an evil report. An evil report means talk of defeat, negativity, a lack of trust in God. At the heart of it, an evil report is sin. Now, this is what's interesting. The word used for evil, so it would have been Hebrew, is debah. Debah means slander defamation yes they brought up a slanderous defaming report
Starting point is 01:31:10 so the the Hebrew word debaugh it refers to a negative report, slanderous speech. It's used in the context of spreading false information about somebody that damages that person's reputation. Yes. And Dabah is associated with gossip, false accusations, malicious talk, division, strife. So in the Hebrew, in the Israelite society, this word dabah was a very strong word because if you accuse somebody of dabah, of saying something that was debauched. It means that you were accusing them of slandering you
Starting point is 01:32:10 and harming your reputation and decreasing your influence in the community because that's what slander and defamation does. The purpose of it is to cause others to lose respect for somebody and then damage that person's ability to be a leader, to be effective. So the question is, who was slandered? Who was defamed? I know. It was Almighty God. Yes. The 10 men slandered and defamed God's reputation. That's why it was an evil report.
Starting point is 01:33:01 Their negative words were causing the Hebrew population to doubt God. Yes. And that's why Caleb was like, shut up, be quiet. We can't allow this kind of talk here. That's why you can't allow negative talk around you. You either got to shut it down or you got to get out of the room. Yes.
Starting point is 01:33:23 Because if it gets in you. Folks, you need to think about that. Your location sometimes determines your ability to operate in faith. The people that you're with can influence your ability to operate in faith.
Starting point is 01:33:41 God says that negative talk that causes people to doubt is evil. And if it's evil, it's a sin. That's right. And I'll give you an example here for in your own lives. So, many of you have decided you're going to take this walk of faith. You're going to step out in faith. What's the first thing that people do around you? They do everything they can to say, you can't do that, or have you,
Starting point is 01:34:22 it's just going to be a lot of trouble, a lot of problems. Or, you know what, you're small, you'll never amount to anything. You're just a grasshopper. And there's giants over there. And so they put out that evil report. It's not just a, I think, and this is what really gets me about this passage today. It's not just that I think and this was what really gets me about this passage today. It's not just that they were talking bad about it. They had intent behind it. They decided, I don't want to fight a giant. And I think in some ways they were exaggerating too, because they never said anything about any of these problems when they were searching the land.
Starting point is 01:35:03 They only said it when they got back. That's right. I'll give you a personal example. I don't think I've ever told this So when I was 15 years old, 15, all right, so my parents were divorced and had devastating impact on me, really damaged me. But I was still holding myself together as a teen. And somebody, a teacher, a teacher who saw potential in me, one day pulled me aside and said, Rick, there is a, there's going to be a contest in our county seat. We didn't live in the county seat. We lived in a tiny little, I lived out in the country, you know, didn't even live in a small town. I lived out in the, in the boonies, in the in the boonies in the farms and he said there's going to be a a a contest in the county seat sponsored by a major organization here in our community and it's a it's a speech contest
Starting point is 01:36:37 my gosh rick how have we had so many parallels in life how is that possible did you have one happened to me too well here's what happened so i didn't know you know he said i said what do i do he goes well uh you know if you're interested you think about it and so later i told you yeah okay i'll do it he said you you know you're gonna have to write a speech they're gonna give you a topic and you write a speech and then you know there give you a topic, and you write a speech, and then there will be an event. It will be a big dinner, and there will be a lot of people there, the leaders of the community, and there will be judges,
Starting point is 01:37:14 and they'll choose a winner. Okay, I did it, and I won first prize. Well, my parents were divorced. They didn't even know I entered the contest. I got my grandfather to drive me to the city the night of the contest. My father didn't even know about it. My mother didn't know about it. So I went and I won. Well, that moved me up the ladder and I went to the regional. And I don't remember who drove me. Could have been a teacher. I don't remember anymore. Somebody took me to the regional event, which was like, you know, one or two months later and I won the regional so they said you're going to the state you could you got an opportunity to win the state contest I'm 15 years old so I I
Starting point is 01:38:24 didn't have anybody to take me to the state contest, which was far away. I don't remember. Probably was in Baltimore, Maryland. It was a distance. I had no way to get there. So I went to my dad, who didn't even know I won the local and the regional. That's how totally disconnected he was to his family. You know, checked out, oblivious, okay?
Starting point is 01:38:52 He just had a divorce. He's in his own little world. And so I told him, I said, I've won two contests. I got to go to the state. And so he, to my surprise, he said, okay, I'll take off a day of work and I'll take you there. I was surprised. So we got to the state championship. And if I recall, doc, they were, they were, you know, it seemed to me in my mind, you know, there had to have been 500, 700 people in the auditorium,
Starting point is 01:39:27 you know, because families from all over the state came. And, you know, in my mind, I'm thinking, I got this. I'm going to win the state. 15 years old, but I'm thinking, I'm going to win this. Let me tell you what happened. Just as they called my name to come up, my dad turned to me and looked at me and said,
Starting point is 01:39:55 I don't see any way you can win this. These other boys are better than you. Okay. Guess what? When I got up on the stage, the only thing i could think of was what my father said completely threw me off my timing destroyed my confidence and i lost oh you hadn't even given your speech yet no No, I was defeated when I got up there because he said it to me as I was getting up from the seat to go to the stage. He looked at me and said, I don't see any way you can win.
Starting point is 01:40:36 These boys are much better. Destroyed my confidence, Destroyed my self-esteem. With one comment. With one negative comment. That's the impact your words have on people. See, I needed my dad to say, go get it. You're going to win. But instead, he said the opposite. What do you say to people?
Starting point is 01:41:14 What have people said to you in your lifetime that destroyed your confidence, destroyed your faith, destroyed your belief that you could do something? See, this is why God hates negative speech. Wow. He calls it evil. And if it's evil, it's sin. And if it's sin, it's separating you from God. So people that have an evil tongue, see, most people that have an evil tongue don't even see themselves as sinning. Yeah. Well, I just told the truth.
Starting point is 01:41:47 It's the way I see it. I call it the way I see it. That's the way they talk. I just give the facts. No, you're giving poison. People that talk like that, they've got the venom under their tongue what paul said in romans they've got that venom under their tongue so what was happening here is the 12 spies are giving their report to moses and a Aaron and all the people and ten of them are saying the land is
Starting point is 01:42:26 exactly what God said but we cannot conquer it the people living there are too big they're bigger than us stronger than us there's no way we can defeat those men if we even defeated the men then we got to defeat the giants. It's just too big. Let's just go back to Egypt. Let's go back to being slaves. It's easier to be a slave than to go into Canaan land and fight the giants. And that's exactly what they said. Yes. They were like, we were better off in egypt as slaves and there are many people today that would rather be a slave to satan than to be a victorious champion for god
Starting point is 01:43:20 you know what there's warfare when you're a champion for God. Yes. There's no warfare when you're a slave to Satan. Who's going to oppose you? Who's going to try to stop you? Hey, you can't be a slave to Satan. No, there's no warfare. It's a flat, easy street. But you say you're going to be a champion for God, there's going to be giants.
Starting point is 01:43:48 That's right. See, there are giants in your promised land. So you've got, they had two classes of warriors in Canaan. The male population living there, they were big guys. They were strong. But they were also giants. So, you know, when he said that he named the son of Anak, he's talking about the Nephilim. So these 10 guys exaggerated everything because of a psychological fear factor.
Starting point is 01:44:31 They did not want to go back into that land and face the men and the giants that were living there. What they concluded was living in Egypt as slaves wasn't that bad after all. Let's just go back. Now, we're going to get to the clincher. Verse 33. Would you read that one, Doc? Yes. And there we saw the giants,
Starting point is 01:45:02 the sons of Anak, which come of the giants. And we were in our own side as grasshoppers. So we were in their sight. They saw the giants, but they saw themselves as grasshoppers. The 10 spies had a grasshopper complex they their self-image was that they were little insects compared to the giants living in that land yes
Starting point is 01:45:36 10 men 10 men looked at the at the size of the giants but 2 men looked at the size of their God and we'll see it as we go into chapter 14 so doc let's read
Starting point is 01:46:00 verses 1 through 5 this is chapter 14 of Numbers. And all the congregation lifted up their voice and cried, and the people wept that night. Wow. And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron.
Starting point is 01:46:17 And the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt, or would God we had died in this wilderness? And wherefore hath the Lord brought us into this land, to fall by the sword that our wives and our children should be a prey? Were it not better for us to return into Egypt? And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt. And they said one to another, let us make a captain and let us return into Egypt. Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation
Starting point is 01:46:52 of the children of Israel. The entire population of the Hebrews, except Aaron Joshua and Caleb all of them cried and wept throughout the night and they murmured against Moses and against Aaron they murmured their mouths were saying all kinds of slanderous, malicious things against the men that wanted to go into Canaan land. And then they said, why didn't God just allow us to die? Why did he bring us to this land? Why would he want our wives and children to be the prey of Giants let's go back to Egypt and be slaves we can't follow Moses anymore let's let's choose a captain and let him lead us back to Egypt can you imagine these people going
Starting point is 01:47:59 back to Pharaoh say we changed our mind. Who was going to cross? Who was going to part the Red Sea to get back over to Egypt? Did they forget about that? This is pathetic. This is absolutely pathetic. Let's go on to verses 6 through 10.
Starting point is 01:48:28 Okay. And Joshua, the son of Nun, and Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes. And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land which we pass through to search it is an exceeding good land if the Lord delight in us and he will bring us into this land and give it to us a land which floweth with milk and honey only rebel not ye against the Lord neither fear ye the people the land for they are bred for us their defense is departed from them and the lord
Starting point is 01:49:08 is with us fear them not but all the congregation bade stone them with stones and the glory of the lord appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of israel they were given a good report and they were really ready to stone them for it, Rick. Yes. They're going to hit them with rocks for talking positive. Don't give us good news. Tell us that we're losers. Tell us that we're slaves. Tell us we're defeated. But if you tell us that we're victorious victorious we're going to hit you with these rocks i think it's interesting rick that even the ones that gave the evil report they they said you know it is a land flowing with milk and honey i mean and it it i mean it is abounding and everything but and joshua and caleb had a whole It's a land flowing with milk and honey,
Starting point is 01:50:09 and the people that are there, they're our bread. We'll eat them up. That's right. We'll eat them too. Why did they have that confidence? Because God promised the land to Abraham. That's all they needed. That's all they needed. It was God's promise to Abraham, and they said, that's all we need.
Starting point is 01:50:26 We're going in. We don't care how big they are. They're going to fall. But no, the congregation wouldn't accept that. Congregation would. I can tell you that only God knows over the centuries the church has existed how many pastors and how many church leaders became so discouraged because the congregation would fight them and argue with them because the pastor would have a vision for the church getting bigger. And people would say, no, we're not going to get bigger. It can't be done.
Starting point is 01:51:04 We're not. That's going to cost too much money. That's going to cost too much money. That's going to require too much effort. Some pastors push through it and break through it and get past the negativity. Others succumb and end up either just losing their vision and staying there for years, but never doing what God told them to do or they just resign and go someplace else yeah i've seen it happen i've seen congregations chase off pastors so people are people
Starting point is 01:51:40 and as doc said they never denied the land was flowing with milk and honey. They just said, but the people living there are too big. Right. Again, the 10 negative spies measured the size of the giants, but Joshua and Caleb measured the size of God. Yes. They think our God is far bigger than giants. This is not a problem. So, we'll move down to verses 11 and 12 doc would you like to read verses 11 and 12 and picking back up at verse 11 the lord said unto moses how long will this people provoke me this is the lord he had appeared in the tabernacle
Starting point is 01:52:42 called moses in and the lord said unto Moses, How long will these people provoke me? And how long will it be ere they believe me for all the signs which I have shown among them? I will smite them with a pestilence and disinherit them and make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they. What did he just threaten to do, Doc? Wipe everybody out except for Moses. I'll just start again. He said, I'll disinherit them. In other words, I'm going to take them out of the will.
Starting point is 01:53:23 They will not inherit anything. I to take them out of the will. They will not inherit anything. I'm taking them out of the will. I'll start with you and Moses and Aaron, Joshua and Caleb. That's enough. I'll start with the four of you, and I'll start a new nation, and they'll be greater and mightier than all these Hebrews. Do you understand how much God is repulsed by negativity? It makes him, I mean, he's disgusted with it. Yes.
Starting point is 01:53:57 And yet it is tolerated in Christian churches. It's far more prevalent in churches than than positive confession in fact you'll have people who who will attack you and say oh I know what you're part of that positive confession cult I'm with Joshua and Caleb and Moses. We'll go to verses 13 through 19. And Moses said unto the Lord, Then the Egyptians shall hear it. For thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them. And they would tell it to the inhabitants of this land.
Starting point is 01:54:43 For they have heard that thou, Lord, art among this people, that thou, Lord, art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them by daytime in a pillar of cloud and in a pillar of fire by night. This is Moses speaking. Now if thou shall kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying, Because the Lord was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness. And now I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying, The Lord is longsuffering and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the
Starting point is 01:55:26 guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation. Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people, according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou has forgiven this people from Egypt even until now. So Moses, the intercessor, sprang into action. He's like, oh, God's going to wipe them out. He's going to kill all of them right now. He's going to release a pestilence. And they're all going to die.
Starting point is 01:56:06 What do I say? And so Moses quickly came up with an argument. He said, oh God, if you kill them, these heathen people are going to say you were unable to fulfill your promise. Please forgive them. Don't let the heathens speak bad of you. Yes. And then Moses reminded God of his nature.
Starting point is 01:56:43 Lord, you're long-suffering. You have great mercy, Lord. You forgive iniquity. But basically, Moses is quoting the Word of God back to God. Yes, reminding him of who he is. See, it's okay. It's okay to remind God who He is. He already knows, but it's okay for you to do it. Numbers 14, verses 20 through 25. Okay. And the Lord said, I have pardoned according to thy word, but as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord. Because all those men which have seen my glory and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, think about that, and have not hearkened to my voice, surely they shall not see the land which I swear unto their fathers neither shall
Starting point is 01:57:46 any of them that provoked me see it but my servant Caleb because he had another spirit within him and has followed me fully him will I bring into the land wherein he went and his seed shall possess it now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley Tomorrow turn you and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea. Right. So they haven't crossed the Red Sea at this point. I said earlier about they've got to go back. So they haven't crossed the Red Sea at this point.
Starting point is 01:58:22 God's leading them out of Egypt. They're on their way to the promised land. So God says, as truly as I live, all these men and women who have seen my miracles, they are not going to go into that land. I'll forgive them. I'll forgive them. I'll pardon them.
Starting point is 01:58:53 But there's consequences. Listen to this, what Doc's saying. God forgave them of the sin. But it came with a price they did not inherit the promised land yes they didn't get in
Starting point is 01:59:16 now let's go to verses 26 through 39 and the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, How long shall I bear with this evil congregation which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. This is the Lord speaking. Saying to them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine mine ear so will I do to
Starting point is 01:59:45 you your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness and all that were numbered of you according to your whole number from 20 years old and upward which have murmured against me doubtless he should not come into the land concerning which I swear to make you dwell therein save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. But your little ones, which you said shall be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised. But as for you, your carcasses, they shall fall in the wilderness, and your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms until your carcasses be wasted in the wilderness. After the number of
Starting point is 02:00:30 days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year shall you bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise. I, the Lord, have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation that are gathered together against me. In this wilderness, they shall be consumed and there they shall die. Going down to 39, Rick,
Starting point is 02:00:55 or stop there. Let's see. Down to, yeah, to where Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel. Okay. All right. And the men which Moses sent to search the land who returned and made all the congregation to murmur against him by bringing up a slander upon the land,
Starting point is 02:01:18 even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land died by the plague before the Lord. But Joshua, the son of Nun, and Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still. And Moses told these sayings unto the children of Israel, and the people mourned greatly. Okay, so two things here. The ten spies spies there were twelve alright Joshua and Caleb were the two with the positive
Starting point is 02:01:50 report and then the ten others the ten who came back with a negative report died they died that day of the plague of a plague God was not going to forgive their sin Of the plague. Of a plague.
Starting point is 02:02:08 God was not going to forgive their sin. They weren't even going to be allowed to wander in the wilderness. They died. That's how evil, that's how wicked God considers words of unbelief, words of doubt. He struck them down. But for everybody else above the age of 20, they didn't enter the promised land either. And for one day that the 12 spies were in Canaan land. For each day of unbelief,
Starting point is 02:02:50 they were sentenced to one year in the wilderness. That's how they got 40 years. That was a sentence. 40 years in the wilderness because you spoke words of unbelief. But the men that spoke them died. Very severe. It is a lesson for all of us.
Starting point is 02:03:23 What are the mistakes? What are the lessons here? Firstly, the Hebrews never banished their slave mentality from their minds. Number two, all 12 men had the same facts, but 10 came to a different conclusion than the other two. They looked at the same things yes
Starting point is 02:03:46 but different conclusions different opinions the 10 negative were in the majority right the majority is seldom right usually the majority is wrong. So don't go with the fact that everybody else is thinking something. How does it line up with the Word of God? If you are the only person that believes the Word of God, then go with it. Secondly or thirdly, the ten spies focused on the size of the men and the giants.
Starting point is 02:04:31 Joshua and Caleb focused on the size of their God. The ten men saw themselves as grasshoppers. Joshua and Caleb saw themselves as giant killers. The false identity of the ten, they had a false identity of the ten. They had a false identity. They saw themselves as former slaves. Yes. That led to unbelief and fear.
Starting point is 02:05:06 Joshua and Caleb, they said, hey, we're inheriting a promised land, a land God promised to our forefathers. We are here to inherit. That's our right. That land is our right. We're taking it. The 10 negative men gave an evil report that defamed God because they didn't believe they had, or because they didn't have faith in God that he would enable them to defeat the giants.
Starting point is 02:05:34 Yes. And 10 men focused on obstacles, two men focused on opportunities. Yes. And the key with Joshuaoshua and caleb is they believed they believed they believed the report of the lord over the report of the negative nellies and this in hebrews chapter 4 verse 2 it says for unto us was the gospel preached as well as unto them and he's talking about the children of the wilderness in this verse Hebrews 4
Starting point is 02:06:09 2 for unto us was the gospel preached as well as unto them but the word preached did not profit them not being mixed with faith in them that heard it this is the essence of the gospel people believe the report of the gospel, people. Believe the report of the Lord.
Starting point is 02:06:26 Yes. Yes. So, ten men saw the problems as being bigger than God's power to solve them. They couldn't see a way that the problems could be solved. But two men were confident God would give them victory over anything because he promised the land to them. Ten men saw themselves as insignificant. Two men saw themselves as God's warriors.
Starting point is 02:07:03 Ten men saw themselves defeated before they acted. Two men said, we're victorious before we act. Ten men faced God's wrath. Two men received One year of wilderness for every day of disobedience. It is a powerful lesson for all of us that there are consequences for speaking negative words of unbelief. And sometimes it impacts others too. Now Joshua and Caleb, they had to spend 40 years in the wilderness too. Yes. The ones that had the good report ended up spending 40 years in the wilderness. But God remembered them after 40 years.
Starting point is 02:08:06 Made Joshua the leader of the people, and Caleb got his own mountain. God gave Caleb his own mountain, Caleb's mountain that was rich with minerals and with livestock, and so God rewarded their faithfulness. I mean, he didn't forget Joshua and Caleb by any means, but it's significant. They ended up having to go through the 40 years in the wilderness as well. And that's the impact of this negative report, this negative mindset, the slave mentality. It impacts others too. Yes. It kept Joshua and Caleb from enjoying the promise for 40 years. Right. They were ready to enjoy it 40 years earlier. They believed, but they had to go in the wilderness because their brothers and sisters didn't have the faith to do it. Right. One other lesson, and this would take more time, because as you get into Joshua, Joshua crossed the Jordan.
Starting point is 02:09:13 There's a lot to teach about crossing the Jordan. As you go into your promised land, you will have to cross your Jordan. And when you get into your promised land, there will be giants there. And God told them to kill and destroy all of the giants. But as you read the scriptures, you'll find out that some of the tribes didn't do it. They allowed some of the other tribes, the heathens, and the giants to stay there. Yeah, all the ites. The ites. So here's the lesson.
Starting point is 02:09:58 There are giants in your promised land. God has a promised land for you, for your life. It's not mine, it's yours. And my promised land is not yours. We each have a promised land, but there are giants in our promised land and we have to conquer them through Christ. But any giant that we allow to live in our promised land will conquer us. We all have giants. It can be alcohol or drugs or anger or fear or insecurity, whatever it is. There are giants in our life. And if you don't conquer the giants in your life,
Starting point is 02:10:53 the giants will conquer you. That's right. I can just hear Joshua and Kayla making the argument before the people. Folks, if you want giant grapes, you got to deal with giants. Yes. Okay. That's just the facts, folks. But no, they weren't willing to. They wanted the blessings. They wanted it. They wanted it. Man, that's great. Milk and honey and clusters of grapes you have to carry on a pole. This is great. But wait a minute, giants, that's where faith went out the window when trouble came.
Starting point is 02:11:29 So people want the blessings of God, but they don't, they're not willing to cross the Jordan, confront the giants that are in their promised land, eradicate them and live in their promised land, eradicate them, and live in their promised land. Yes. Without the giants. They think, somehow I'm going to live in my promised land and coexist with the giants.
Starting point is 02:11:58 Can't we just get along? Nope. Doesn't work that way, does it? Okay, we're over. Let's go to the Lord's Supper. All right. Praise the Lord. This is a great lesson today. And so I hope your faith is encouraged today. And understand that God has giant blessings in your life,
Starting point is 02:12:18 but you're going to have to deal with giants as you move into your promised land. I mean, he's made some giant promises to you. And so, believe the report of the Lord. If you've got the elements of the Lord's table, which includes bread and either red wine or grape juice, we're going to pray a prayer of blessing over that here in just a moment. So, give me a moment to prepare for that. But I would like forick to pray for us right now and lord not lord but rick i would just ask that you would pray for us that we would believe
Starting point is 02:12:55 the lord's report that we and that he would forgive us those times where we've where we've focused on the on the Giants instead of the blessings that are in the promised land days given us it we all fall short with that at times some to greater degree than others but Rick pray for us pray that we would be forgiven for those times where we believed the giant report and that the Lord would give us the faith to believe his report. Lord, I believe, help mine belief. Yes. Would you pray for us? I will. We can't do anything about past where we believed evil reports. We allowed people to infect us with the negativity but we can now change as of today you ought to
Starting point is 02:13:49 be able to recognize and discern an evil report and and know right away I've got to get away from this I've got to shut down this conversation or I got to get out of here I can't let this in my mind. Father, Father, in the name of Jesus, we come to you. Father, we ask that you build us into mighty warriors who believe your word and that we always give a good report. Father, when the doctors give us a negative report, we will go to you for a good report father when the doctors give us a negative report we will go to you for a good report when the lawyers give us a bad report we will go to you for a good report when the mechanic gives us a bad report we'll go to you
Starting point is 02:14:39 for a good report we can overcome every giant we can overcome every problem if our faith is in you father father we will not be defeated we will not speak words that defame you forgive us father for anything that we've said that defamed you yes lord help us forgive us if we ever said anything to somebody that caused them to doubt you Father forgive us of all of our sins and cleanse us and purify us as we come to the Lord's table in Jesus name amen amen amen and I just while we were praying there, Rick, I believe the Lord is speaking to people right now that they've, they've seen themselves as grasshoppers facing giants and maybe a giant in their life has said, you can't be healed. Or maybe a giant is that you can't be delivered.
Starting point is 02:15:39 Or there's a giant in your life that's saying you can't see your loved one saved. Whatever the giant is that you're facing, believe the report of the Lord. In spite of everything, all the evidence, believe the report of the Lord. I don't deny that there's giants. I'm not some Pollyanna here that wishes them away. No. And Joshua and Caleb didn't deny that there were giants either, Rick. They said, we can eat
Starting point is 02:16:11 them up. We can eat them up. And you've got to have that attitude of faith in your own life that when these giant reports pop up in your life that you say, I'm just going to eat you up. I'm just going to eat you up. I'm just going to eat you up because I'm going to report to the Lord.
Starting point is 02:16:31 There's a difference. You know, many, many years ago when I was a younger Christian, there was a doctrine going around, you know, a positive confession. Right. Which was like, well, if you had cancer, you just, you just never admitted it was there. Right. Which was like, well, if you had cancer, you just never admitted it was there. Right. If somebody said, I heard you have cancer. No, that's not true.
Starting point is 02:16:53 I don't have cancer. That's not what we're talking about here. No. What we're talking about is cancer doesn't have the right to exist in your life. Yes. It's a giant and it's got to go. You're not denying the existence of the cancer or the tumor or whatever it is. Caleb and Joshua didn't say, hey, Moses, there's no giants up there.
Starting point is 02:17:20 They didn't say that. They said, yes, there are giants, but we're going to get them out. So whatever you're facing, you don't deny the existence of it. You deny its right to exist. Yes. That it's occupying your blessing right now. That's right. Disease is a trespasser in your body, which is the temple of God.
Starting point is 02:17:46 It has no right to be there. It's a trespasser. It's a squatter. See, you've got squatters in your promised land. They're squatters. And because it's your promised land, you have the authority of the sheriff to evict them. The sheriff will back you up. And I'm talking about the sheriff, Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 02:18:16 You have the authority to evict squatters from your promised land. Now they're going to put up a fight. Of course they are. They've been there for so long. But if you don't want to fight, then just go on back to Egypt that's right that's what you want anyway right the violent take it by force yes
Starting point is 02:18:33 you're going to have to be spiritually violent with squatters praise God get out get out demons that are harassing you, get out. Amen. Well, we better be careful. We'll go into a second hour here. I know.
Starting point is 02:18:54 Praise God. Well, we're going to enter into the Lord's table at this point. So if you have the elements of bread and either red wine or grape juice, if you've made a confession of faith in jesus christ and been baptized in water according to scriptures in the name of the father son the holy spirit we invite you to participate in the lord's table and we welcome you to the lord's table and what we do is we pray for god's blessing upon the elements of communion and then we participate as Saints have participated in this in this table since Jesus first put it in effect
Starting point is 02:19:34 2,000 years ago and so the believers in the first century are performing the same thing that we're doing today, and we're all connected by this table across time. It's humbling when you really start to think about it. Let's pray for the Lord's blessing over the bread and the wine today. Almighty God, in your tender mercy, you gave your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer death upon the cross for our redemption. He offered himself and made once for all time a perfect and sufficient sacrifice for the sins of the whole world and he instituted this remembrance of his passion and death which he commanded us to continue until
Starting point is 02:20:16 he comes again and so father we ask you to bless and sanctify with your word and holy spirit these gifts of bread and wine that we may partake of his most blessed body and blood. Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed once for all upon the cross. Therefore, let us keep the feast. Hallelujah. On the night that he was betrayed,
Starting point is 02:20:39 our Lord Jesus took bread. And when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples saying, take, eat. This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me. Thank you, Lord.
Starting point is 02:20:59 Hallelujah. The body of our Lord Jesus Christ which was given for you, preserve your body and soul to everlasting life. This is the bread of heaven. Take and eat in remembrance that Christ died for you. After supper, Jesus took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, Drink this, all of you.
Starting point is 02:21:19 For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Whenever you drink it, do this in remembrance of me. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Praise Jesus. The blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, which was shed for you, preserve your body and soul to everlasting life. Drink the cup of salvation in remembrance that Christ's blood was shed for you and be thankful. Behold the Lamb of God. Behold him who takes away the sins of the world.
Starting point is 02:21:52 And blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. The sacrament is the gift of God for the people of God. Feed on him by faith, by faith, by faith, by faith with thanksgiving that Christ died for you. Praise God. What a great faith lesson today, Rick. Just thank the Lord for you being open to the Holy Spirit today
Starting point is 02:22:17 and teaching us in this. This is awesome today. This is awesome. I will not die in the wilderness. I'm not going to die in the wilderness. I want my mountain. See, there was a generational turning there, wasn't there?
Starting point is 02:22:31 That's right. And that was Generation X that died in the wilderness. Yes. The boomers and the Xers all died in the wilderness. That's right. The boomers and the Xers died. Even Moses. Technically, he died in the wilderness that's right the boomers and the xers died even moses technically he died in the wilderness and so he never got to enter the promised land because of
Starting point is 02:22:52 his lack of faith i mean that's scary so but josh and caleb did and rick i'm not gonna i am not gonna die in the wilderness that that's right it's got in my gizzard here a few months ago, and I will not die in the wilderness. Amen. Amen. I want my mountain. Praise God. Any final words, Rick? I want my rocket ride.
Starting point is 02:23:24 Okay? God knows what that means. I want my rocket ride. Okay. God knows what that means. I want my rocket ride. Okay. That's it for me today. All right. God bless you. Thank you so much.
