Well, welcome everybody. We're glad to have you here tonight. Let's bow our heads and invite the Holy Spirit. Blessed be God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Almighty God, to you our hearts are open and all desires known. And from you no secrets are hid. Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit that we may perfectly love you

and worthily magnify your holy name through Christ our Lord. Amen. Now let us stand and recite the symbol of our faith in the ancient words of the Apostles' Creed. I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended to the dead. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven

and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Almighty. From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit. I believe in the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. Our scripture reading this evening is a short one, so I'll just have you stay seated this evening, all right? It's found in Jeremiah 51, verses 8 through 10. And I'll read.

Suddenly Babylon fell and was shattered. Wail for her. Get balm for her wound. Perhaps she can be healed. We tried to heal Babylon, but she could not be healed. Abandon her. The Lord has brought about our vindication. Come, let's tell in Zion what the Lord our God has accomplished. God bless the reading of his word this evening. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment, and a second is like it. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.

Lord, have mercy and help me to keep your commandments. And now, as our Savior Jesus Christ has taught us, we are bold to pray, Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.

Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom and the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen. And now I ask each of you to take a moment of silence and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you about whatever sins that you have committed in the past week. Don't confess them to me. Confess them to your heavenly father.

And he is quick to forgive. Most merciful father. We confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, deed. By what we have sinned against you and thought we're indeed by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent for the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ.

Have mercy on us and forgive us that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways to the glory of your name. Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, who in his great mercy has promised forgiveness of sins to all those who sincerely repent and with true faith turn to him, have mercy upon you, pardon and deliver you from all your

sins, confirm and strengthen you in all goodness, and bring you to everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to St. John. Jesus said, If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would have loved you as its own. Because you are not of the world,

but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, a servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they would also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin. But now they have no excuse for their sin.

Whoever hates me hates my Father. If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have seen and hated both me and my father. But the word that is written in their law must be fulfilled. They hated me without a cause. The gospel of the Lord.

I have the, I don't know if you call it the privilege or curse of growing up in the Midwest. As such, we were raised in a culture of preparation. And when we saw storms gathering on the horizon, we prepared. We canned beans in the summer because we knew winter was going to come eventually. It'd get cold and you'd have to have something to eat in the winter. We grew up in that mindset of having our hearts prepared, having our minds prepared, having our lives prepared for a storm that was inevitable. We didn't know what day the storm would come, but we knew there was going to be a storm. Today we see a storm gathering on the horizon in our nation,

and you can smell it in the air just like you can a storm physically. But in this case, it's a spiritual storm. There's a battle taking place in the world around us today. And Satan seeks to destroy. But just like storms in the natural, not all storms are completely negative. Sometimes storms bring much needed cleansing and rain. You know, my grandfather, he was a farmer, and he said he both hated and loved the storm

because the storm could bring destruction, but they also brought cleansing as well because you needed what happened after the storm could bring destruction, but they also brought cleansing as well because you needed what happened after the storm. God uses the storm sometimes in order to shake things and to shake the world around us. And this spiritual storm that's coming is going to shake the nations. And we need to pray accordingly. Amen?

Let's pray. Almighty God, creator of all life, we humbly thank you for your graciousness, kindness, and generosity toward us. Father, the world is seething with hatred, war, injustice, corruption, bloodshed, and lawlessness. Your people, the body of Christ, is suffering in many nations. Many have been beheaded, crucified, burned, beaten, and imprisoned. Our places of worship to you have been destroyed by Muslims and communist governments. We pray that you will save us from the time of trial. Nevertheless, grant to us courage and boldness to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom in a world

that is becoming increasingly hostile to your kingdom. Father, may your Holy Spirit work in our hearts to tear down denominational walls and barriers so that your church may be one. We ask that you send divine protection, comfort, and aid to our brethren in countries where the church of God is under persecution and attack. Execute judgment against the tormentors. Shake the nations if necessary to stop the violence against your church. As America prepares to choose our political leader. We pray that the Holy Spirit will impart into every believer the name of the person you desire to be president of the United States.

We pray that every believer will be faithful to vote. Holy Father, we beseech you to save our country from destruction. We humbly ask you to grant to America a reprieve from judgment. Give us more time to preach the gospel of the kingdom. Have mercy on us. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen. My intention was to deliver part three in an eight-part series on the second coming of Jesus Christ.

The rapid escalation of tension between the United States and Russia in recent days, however, requires me to interrupt the series in order to reiterate the Lord's solemn warning to America. I would be guilty of spiritual malpractice if I ignored what has happened in the past two weeks and did not comment on it today. The 2016 presidential campaign is a snapshot of America's spiritual condition. One candidate is driven by unbridled lust for wealth and sex. The other candidate is driven by unbridled lust for power and wealth. The first candidate has used his wealth to satisfy his craving for sexual pleasure. The other candidate has used her power to satisfy her craving for wealth.

Some of the past sins of both candidates have been uncovered for the whole world to see, and they have been humiliated. Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton represent the twin idols of the American people, sexual hedonism and materialism. The question to be answered is this. Will one or both of the candidates allow the public humiliation that they have received

to humble them and to bring them to sorrow and repentance before the Lord. The first time I stepped behind a radio microphone on May 24, 1999, I never imagined that I would still be delivering the same warning to America in October 2016. In the early days, I was convinced that the vision that God gave me in April 1998 would happen suddenly and soon. It wasn't until September 11, 2001 that I realized, perceived that the vision would be played out incrementally over many years. until September 11, 2001, that I realized and perceived

that the vision would be played out incrementally over many years. I can sincerely and humbly say that I personally understand what Jeremiah heard and saw in his spirit for many years. God showed Jeremiah a boiling pot facing away from the north.

The Lord told him, Out of the north calamity shall break forth on all the inhabitants of the land. He also told Jeremiah, I will utter my judgments against them concerning their wickedness, because they have forsaken me, burned incense to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands. The Lord commissioned Jeremiah to prophesy to his people the land of Israel. The Lord said, Therefore prepare yourself and arise and speak to them all that I have commanded you, and do not be dismayed before their faces, lest I dismay you before them.

For behold, I have made you this day a fortified city in an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against its princes, and against its priests, against the people of the land. They will fight against you, but they his priests, against the people of the land. They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you, for I am with you, says the Lord, to deliver you. What kept Jeremiah going when the whole land was against him?

The answer is found in Jeremiah 4, verses 19 through 21. He said, O my soul, my soul, I am pained in my heart. My heart makes a noise in me. I cannot hold my peace because you have heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war. God's people are smarter than ants. Even ants know it's wise to store food.

Go to the ant, you sluggard. Consider her ways and be wise, which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provides her bread in the summer and gathers her food in the harvest. I'm Dr. Robert A.
