This is True News, the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help us God.
Well, yesterday, Mr. Dean Cain, Hollywood actor, businessman, filmmaker, NRA board member, is back with us today.
He was with us on Thursday.
And, you know, we were having such a good conversation.
I said, let's just keep the cameras running.
Let's record another interview.
And so he is here with me right now.
Glad to have him back here on the screen.
Somebody told me that you
visited the baptismal site of Jesus Christ in Jordan. Is that
correct? Yes, sir. One of the most amazing
moments ever with my son.
Which side of the Jordan side of the jordan river were you on
we were on the jordanian side all right this site is on the jordanian side i've been there i went to
pardon me i've been there oh you've been there so i went to i went to princeton university
one of my classmates was a gentleman named ghazi bin muhammadazi now is... I know him. Of course, there we go. The prince. So Ghazi,
great guy, my classmate. We became very good friends back in school
and we've kept in touch forever. He now
runs all religious and cultural affairs for his uncle, King Abdullah.
And so I was doing a travel show out there
in Israel and Armenia and we were doing
all sorts of other things and shooting some documentaries and things so I spoke with Ghazi
and we were able to go out and visit that site and get tremendous access and film some things
for the travel show and for our documentary and some other things and Prince Ghi was as warm and open and hospitable as he could be and we were able to go visit that
that site where they've gone through and baptismsite.com explains how they discovered
that area and the archaea archaeology behind it and it had been mined up until about 1993 so nobody
was going in those areas because you don't want to get blown up.
So they deminded and they went through and found this area that they believe
is the spot where John the Baptist baptized Jesus.
So we got to get down there.
And Prince God was like, if you want to take a moment with your son,
you can go down in there and maybe have a little conversation with God,
pray a minute.
And so my son and I were able to go do that.
It was incredible, incredible, great experience.
When were you there?
How long ago?
I was there.
Gosh, I honestly, it wasn't that long.
It was within the past eight years.
I can't recall exactly.
This cross here was given to me um by the leader of the greek
orthodox church uh theophilus the third and he gave myself and my son this um in jerusalem it
was incredible um that was incredible in its own right too having that time with him and speaking
with him and um that whole trip if people out there are watching this and listening, if they are a Christian, you're Jewish, whatever faith, Muslim, it doesn't even matter.
It's one of those places in Jerusalem where it's an incredible place to visit and spend time.
They say the air is thin there.
You can sort of feel it in between heaven and earth.
And I believe in that saying because it felt that way for myself and my son and all the
places that we had read about in the bible and and historical places too you just read about a
history there they are they're like that's it here's this here's that so dean last last year
in the in the second half of uh 22 i went to uh i went to jordan four times last year
and and that's when i met prince Ghazi. And so I don't
know if you know what's going on at the baptismal site. So King Abdullah
has committed to a $300 million
development plan. Oh, wow.
It is quite a project. They've got 400 acres
around the site. I didn't know project. They've got 400 acres around the site.
I didn't know that.
They are building a, it is a, how do I describe it?
They want it to be, they want it to appear as ancient as possible.
They're not trying to build a Disney world, but they want to recreate what
it looked like at that time. But there would be shops and streets and restaurants and
you know parks and so forth. But it is a major development. so king amdallah announced it last december and i was uh i was honored with
the invitation from the king so i was at the banquet in amman where the king presented the
plan and that's where i met prince gazi and uh but i i had been over to the site several times
and uh this is this is one of the biggest uh things to happen in christian
archaeology and tourism in in many many years because well you know from from that site
you can also visit mount nebo where where moses saw the promised land and and i don't know did
you know about the the place called macaris which which is the mountain, it's in that region
Makaris, it's the mountain where John the Baptist
was beheaded. I missed that part
I, listen, no, hey, it's not developed
it is King Herod's fortress, it's sitting on top of a mountain
I did see King Herod's fortress is sitting on top of a mountain.
I did see King Herod's fortress.
You did?
I did.
Well, there's a name of that one city where there's all those ruins.
This is over in Jordan.
This is out in the middle of the wilderness.
There's nothing around at all.
It's just... We go to this then.
Yes.
So it's called makaras and there's on top of the mountain
uh there's you know there's the remains of of herod's fortress and somewhere on that mountain
is where john the baptist was beheaded and so my whole life as a christian i always assumed that
that john was beheaded in Jerusalem.
But now it makes sense to me.
He was in the wilderness preaching.
Herod was out there at his compound on the mountain.
And, you know, somebody came to him and said,
Herod, did you hear what John the Baptist is saying about you?
And he sent the soldiers out and said, bring him in here.
And they locked him up in the dungeon.
And then he was beheaded during the party. So when you're there, Dean, on top of the mountain, you can see this was a patio.
Wow.
He was having an outdoor party this was a big party on on the patio on the top of this mountain
now this all makes sense now i get the picture of what was happening but jordan jordan is so rich
in in biblical archaeology and few people know about it and the country is so warm and hospitable and friendly and
i just i love jordan i love the jordanian people i love the jordan food it's just they're they're
great people and same here in fact if you ask my son where he had the greatest rice dish of his
entire life man we'll tell you in the middle of the wadi rum desert
at a bedouin camp and they made it in this huge thing it was so ridiculously good and the bread
they make over that over the stones over a big rock it's a big rock it's just a big rock yes
probably it was probably mansef there it is mansef but it was mansef it was so great we
enjoyed that that was my son's favorite trip ever i enjoyed jordan and israel i sort of put them in
one one trip in my mind because we were we were we never flew anywhere after that we were we came
into jordan and we did everything and then we went went across to Israel and did a whole bunch of other things too.
That whole area is incredible.
You know, for Jordan, you know, obviously the logistical issue is making, you know, the safety issue, just to make sure everything is safe and contained.
And they're working on that.
I know Prince Gazi has been working on that very hard. The amount of Christian tourism that goes to israel is incredible and it should be and it's fantastic but i think that should really also
extend to jordan for sure because it's just a different and if they keep it very rural very
much like it was in the times you're walking back in history and it's incredible yeah it's incredible. It's incredible. Yeah, we just kept, of course, I have the pleasure,
we have a young Jordanian man who's on our staff.
He works in Amman, but he works for us.
And so he's always been my tour guide when I go there.
He takes me places that very few tourists know about I mean we
we spent a half day at a crusader fort and it's just like out out in the middle of nowhere and
there's just a giant fort and they had they had a couple thousand crusader soldiers there in in
the middle ages you know and this these things are just all over Jordan.
Wherever you go, you just kind of step into another archaeology find, you know.
But yeah, I just heard somebody say that you had been to Jordan and I wanted to confirm
it.
It's a good place to go.
It's the pinned picture on my Twitter bio is my son and I, you know, in that spot, sitting down there praying for a moment.
It was wonderful.
And I put it up there because I think, you know, it's one of the most special moments in my life.
And when you pin something up, it's something that you want on your Twitter bio to say, look, this is an important moment in my life.
And people pick on me for it all the time, which is weird.
You know, they either pick on Christianity or they'll pick on, you know, you're out there, you know, publicizing your faith, which I don't do at all. But it's just funny.
No matter what you do, there's always going to be somebody or some people or some group that is going to try and castigate you for that.
So in my 50s now, I don't worry about that anymore.
I live very authentically and do the things that I want to do and
let the cards fall where they may. But I do it, I think, with a great sense of integrity
and I sleep like a baby at night. The best way to
publicize your faith is to live it.
And when you're living your faith and you have a relationship with
jesus christ you can't keep it off your face and and people will know they will ask they'll they'll
say there's something different they want to know um why you have a good attitude about life when
everything else is is so crazy hey one other thing about Jordan, we were going to take another, we took a tour group there last fall and I was hoping to take another group there next month.
And it, the plans just kept unraveling on me. So I got to the point and said, okay,
I know when the Lord is saying, don't push, don't push this anymore, just leave it alone.
And so we just said, okay, we're going to drop it.
And it may have to do with Ukraine because it appears that there's going to be a huge Ukrainian counteroffensive in May.
So that may be the reason the Lord was saying you don't want to be out of the country in May.
But if things are calmed down in the fall, I hope to take another tour group back to Jordan
in the fall. So I'll let you know the dates you might want to go along with. Take over to Macaris
and, you know. Yes. Yeah. I'd much rather go in
the fall than the heat of the summer. Yeah.
It does get hot. It does get hot.
Let's talk about what, what how do you you want to talk about what they did to prison Trump?
Yeah, I think when we look back at this time in history, I think we'll be embarrassed.
I hope we're embarrassed. I hope our political leaders are embarrassed. It is political persecution.
It belongs in a banana republic somewhere outside the United States.
But it started way back in the day. It started with the two political impeachments.
Impeachment was never supposed to be something political.
And it's unfortunate that our elected leaders have decided to pursue this path.
I've never seen anybody in my lifetime. No, Donald Trump. I love President Trump.
I know him personally and have for a long
time. And he can grate people with the words he says and his straightforward, his one-liners,
maybe the way he speaks, people will think he's a little rough around the edges.
I happen to appreciate it because you know what you're getting and it's straightforward um i've never seen anybody take so many slings
and arrows in my lifetime and so openly partisan i've never seen such hate toward somebody and
it's ginned up by folks who you know it used to be revered donald trump was revered who you want
to be rappers were rapping about being like Trump and do these things and having beautiful women around. But when he becomes a politician, boy, everything changed.
What's happening now, what DA Bragg is doing is a political stunt. It's all politically motivated.
It's ridiculous. This is a DA who has decriminalized resisting arrest. He's taken all sorts of felonies
and downgraded them to misdemeanors.
That's why New York is in the state it is in right now.
That's why crime is so rampant.
That's why people are so down on that state
and what they're doing for a state prosecutor,
a state district attorney,
to try to push federal election law
when it was already decided
by the FEC and others that it's not a, he didn't create a violation. I mean, they've been on this
guy for eight years, anything. If this is what they found, they got nothing. And it's just
political persecution. They don't want him to run. They want to disqualify him from running.
And I think it's disgusting. And I'm glad to see some people leaving, like the adding Kinzingers and Liz Cheney and folks like that.
I'm glad to see them leaving and getting out of politics.
So they want to get in the world where they can create political pacts and go on CNN and MSNBC and badmouth Trump and everybody else.
But Trump derangement syndrome is a real thing.
Trump derangement syndrome is a real thing.
Orange man bad is the catchphrase for everybody who can't stand the way Trump speaks or whatever.
I have these conversations with people.
They're like, why do you like President Trump?
And then I'll just run through his accomplishments.
There were no wars that time.
It was peace through strength.
You knew that if you did something, you know, that President Trump is going to react.
You knew as a military person or as a law enforcement person, he's going to be on your side, you know.
And he knows that it's rough business war and such.
And I've had these conversations with him personally.
And he, but he stands on the sides
of our soldiers and our war fighters. Afghanistan withdrawal wouldn't have happened like that under
Trump. There would not be a war in Ukraine under Trump. There wouldn't be North Korea
testing ballistic missiles again under Trump. China wouldn't be threatening Taiwan under
President Trump. We wouldn't have this double-digit ridiculous inflation under President Trump. So when people
say, what do you like about him? All those things. I'll take the mean tweets. But the country was in
a great shape, and we were about to be in fantastic shape had he done another four years.
My heart was broken when he wasn't reelected because I just saw all of the things that were happening that were good. It hurt me in the tax world, actually, because they instituted
a policy about not being able to write off your state taxes against your federal taxes. They
capped it at $10,000. That hurt me a lot because my state taxes are a lot more than $10,000.
And it would end up dealing with your mortgage and such.
And so it hurt me a lot money-wise,
but it made sense because these high-tax states
like California and New York
were soaking the federal government.
That's what they were doing.
And Trump put a stop to that.
So I was going to have to adjust my taxes and things.
But that's okay.
He was doing things that I believe were right for the country.
I believe the man loves the country like nothing else.
Of course, he loves himself.
He loves Trump.
But that's OK.
I think anybody who's running for president has to love themselves to some degree.
And I just think what they've done is awful.
It's political persecution.
It's so obvious, nakedly obvious, that I think it's shameful. And anybody who supports it and endorses it from the political level, I understand people, citizens doing it, and I'll talk about that amongst my friends who believe it's okay. They know I don't think it's okay. And if the shoe were on the other foot, they'd be screaming from the rafters. So I think he's the most politically persecuted
person in the history of the United States since 1800. And I think it's terrible. And
I hope this sham is exposed for what it is. I hope it goes away. And I look forward to a big 2024.
You know, this hatred of Donald Trump, it has brought to the surface several things that had been kept hidden, even though many of us suspected it.
Number one, that senior level Republicans work secretly with senior level Democrats.
We always suspected it, but this brought it out in the open.
Number two, it brought out that what they've done is that they have created,
they've created the template for all future opponents. And these, these rhino Republicans
that, that hate Donald Trump, I don't think they realize yet
that nobody, no Republican
will be able to run in the future.
They all will be subjected
to the same tactics.
They have learned how to destroy
a man's reputation.
And if you are a serious threat to them,
we now know what they will do to you.
They're going to smear you. They're going to plant evidence. They're going to sue you. They're
going to impeach you. I don't care who it is. And, you know, as much as I love Governor DeSantis,
if he runs, they're going to go after him. Of't matter who it is, they're going to do the
same thing to him. And then the third thing I think this has brought forth is how certain
law enforcement and intelligence agencies are working secretly to undermine the president
of the United States.
I played Peter Strzok in a play called FBI Lovebirds.
Speaking of people like that, or James Comey or others.
But it's the people of the leadership.
It's the people up top.
It's not your rank and file guys.
I know too many rank and file men and women who would not even for a second be involved in it.
But it is the higher level folks, and it's horrible. I knew everybody under the Trump justice system, the DOJ people there,
and a lot of people don't like Bill Barr. I love Bill Barr. I think he is a straight shooter,
doesn't care what side of the aisle you're on. These are the rules. We follow it. That's it.
I get a lot of people who don't like him. My buddy who I played football with at Princeton was number three at the DOJ at the
time. He was Eric Dryband, who was the head of the Civil Rights Division. These are very good
people. And I just, I don't see, I look at what Merrick Garland's doing, and it's completely
political. And so I see these people at the top levels who are, I think, dangerous for our country.
And it's true.
The way the State Department and the way DOJ has done things, it is reprehensible.
And I want it to be exposed, nakedly exposed and shamed.
At this point in time, do you think President Trump is the leading candidate for the Republican nomination?
Well, by all metrics, he is for sure.
How it's going to shake out, I don't know.
You know, will Governor DeSantis run?
I don't know.
I don't think anybody else is a serious contender other than Governor DeSantis.
And he hasn't declared.
So, you know, we're a long way off, but it's a loud process.
When President Trump steps in, you know, he goes on the attack and that's his style. I wouldn't
want to have to run against him. I wonder what he'd pick on me about, but there'd be plenty.
But politics is a dirty business. It's a dirty business and you have to have a thick skin and
you know I did like the Reagan rule you know not attacking people within your own party too badly
and that doesn't exist really today if I were to if I were to run I would try to follow that I
loved President Reagan I got to meet him it amazing. I started playing Superman in 1993, I think it was, that I got a message that President Reagan would love to meet with you.
And I jumped at it. It was amazing. He was incredibly gracious. I think, you know,
if I ever ran for office myself, I'd borrow about 80% of his speeches. What a sense of humor.
What a great speaker.
I understand why they call him the great communicator.
I didn't appreciate it as much when I was younger because I was a little bit too young.
I look at it now and oh my gosh, what an amazing guy.
What an amazing guy.
So funny.
Great wit.
Still had that great wit when I got to meet with him and we talked football and things
and stuff.
He just was a mountain of a man. And, uh, if I, that's the kind of person that I would like to be
if I were to, um, be a politician, I don't want to be a politician, but if I did, I'd try to go
in the boots of Reagan. Yeah. He was, he was a good president, great president, uh,
best in my lifetime.
Did you notice recently that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. jumped in the race?
In the Democrats.
Yeah.
That caught me by surprise.
And Marianne Williamson is running.
So there's two people, the primary Joe Biden so far.
There may be more.
I'm sure there will be more.
Maybe they won't be of note. But to get a Kennedy running in there is interesting.
And he has said some really intelligent stuff robert has um but he uh obviously he has a speech issue that's an
impairment for something that he has suffered but uh and that'll be a obviously that'll be a
um well mr biden mr biden has a speech problem too yes does. Every time he opens his mouth.
Something comes out that's untrue.
Oh, my.
I can't believe that they are going to trot him out again.
I don't think they will.
I don't either.
I think the Susan Rices
and the people out there pulling the strings,
I just don't know how they can do that.
I don't know that he'll make it physically.
I didn't think he'd go this far.
So what do I do?
I think the candidate they're grooming is your governor.
Oh, please.
Please, no.
I mean, I see him going around the country.
Gavin Newsom runs out to Florida, goes into a library.
What books are being banned?
If you're going to explain to a five-year-old how to perform fellatio on another five, that
book should not be in there.
I'm sorry, as a parent, it's not about banning books.
It's not about banning George Orwell's 1984.
This is 1984.
This is George Orwell's 1984.
It's Animal Farm.
You know, all people, all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.
I mean, it's literally everything that George Orwell pushed is going through.
You know, up is down, right is wrong, war is peace, freedom is slavery.
All of that stuff is happening now.
And it's mind boggling to me that that is being listened to.
So Gavin Newsom going on his Save Democracy tour,
which is the dumbest thing in the world, by the way.
We are not a true democracy.
We are a constitutional federal republic by design.
So anyone, any politician talks about,
oh, we have to save democracy, this, blah, blah, blah,
it's a threat to our democracy.
They're mislabeling it on purpose. They know what
they're doing. We are a republic. We save our republic. That's what I would like to do.
And so when I see Gavin Newsom running around in these different states,
we're a federal republic. There's reasons different states have different rules and different laws,
because you want to go someplace where those laws reflect your values. I'm leaving California. I'm considering it. My
house is on the market. I never would have ever thought I would leave here. I live in Malibu,
California, the greatest weather I've ever seen in the world. But the policies are terrible.
Gavin Newsom's policies are driving people out of California by the millions. People are leaving.
There's a reason we lost a congressional seat.
There's a reason we went from a $95 billion surplus to a $25 billion deficit in a year.
There's a reason why we have 33% of the nation's homeless and 10% of the population. It's because
the policies are terrible. They're just awful. And they're driving people out, and they're close to driving me out.
Dean, we've got two minutes remaining, and you're talking about the taxes, the regulations and everything.
You are spokesman for Genesis Gold Group, which we're very happy to have this month as a sponsor of True News.
What attracted you to Genesis Gold Group?
Well, see, I've known Jonathan for a long time.
And he has listened to me speak and go on about things and speak my mind.
And he said, you know, you're lining up with a lot of the things that we believe
at Genesis Gold Group and the way we do business and the things that we're talking about, come on in and see our operation. And then maybe if we get along well,
we sort of agree on this, we can work together. And it was just a really natural progression
for me to see the thing. I own a lot of real estate. I made a lot of money in real estate,
which is a good investment. I would have made a lot more if I was investing in gold. And it's a lot easier and a lot more simple to sell and resell.
And like you should have done in 1971 when you graduated.
Right.
I know.
So it's, you know, there's another thing I see.
You see it all the time.
There's lots of folks who are lots of companies that are selling gold and silver.
What I love about Genesis Gold is they do it with integrity.
They really have integrity.
They treat people incredibly well.
The name Genesis is in there for a reason.
And they treat you very, very well.
It's a simple process.
Jonathan's been around the business for so long,
and he's cut out some of the more nefarious things
that happen in these companies that sell gold.
And so I feel great talking about them.
I feel great if anybody does business with them.
So I'm honored to be out speaking about them
and working with them
and increasing my holdings in gold and silver for sure.
That's good.
And in addition to precious metals,
coins and bars and so forth,
they also have IRAs backed by precious metals.
And I know some of our viewers
are going to be very interested in that concept.
So the contact information is on the screen,
Genesis Gold, and it's genesisgoldgroup.com.
You can reach out to them.
I want to thank actor, filmmaker, businessman, NRA, Second Amendment
defender, Dean Cain, for being here on True News two days in a row. Dean, thank you so much. I'd
like to meet you someday. My pleasure. I'll see you next week. All right. Take care. All right.
God bless. Take care. God bless. Thank you so much. Are you concerned about this economic storm and how your IRA and 401 will fare during
