Starting point is 00:00:00 The following program is made possible by the faithful prayers and financial support of listeners just like you. To find out how you can help, visit www.truenews.com. This is True News. The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help us God. I'm Rick Wiles. Russia's defense ministry today said that Ukraine plans to carry out artillery strikes on a Russia-controlled nuclear power plant in Ukraine tomorrow, Friday. Doc Burkhardt and I will have more information later. First, however, we want to give you an update on President Trump's ever-growing legal problems.
Starting point is 00:00:59 And so, Doc, let's start with the first one. The judge made a ruling today. Yes. Said he was inclined to unseal portions of the search warrant. And, of course, this is Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart once again. A federal judge on Thursday says he is inclined to unseal at least some of the probable cause affidavit used to secure a search of former President Donald Trump's Florida estate and ordered the government to submit proposed redactions. On my final careful review, there are portions of it that can be unsealed. It's coming from the Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, once again in the picture, saying this after a hearing where a top government lawyer contended the documents released could
Starting point is 00:01:49 jeopardize an investigation that is still in its early stages. Now in a written ruling after the hearing, Judge Reinhart said, I find that on the present record the government has not met its burden of showing that the entire affidavit should remain sealed. Now the judge said he would give the government a full and fair opportunity to make redactions has not met its burden of showing that the entire affidavit should remain sealed. The judge said he would give the government a full and fair opportunity to make redactions to the document in order for them to turn in the redacted version by next Thursday, along with a legal memo justifying the proposed redactions. He said he would then review the document and either order its release if he agrees with the redaction
Starting point is 00:02:23 or hold a closed-door hearing with the government if he disagrees. Now, during a hearing that lasted just over an hour, Jay Bratt, a top counterintelligence and national security official at the DOJ, argued that the very detailed and lengthy document needed to be kept completely under wraps because it contains substantial grand jury information in a unique case with national security overtones. He also said the government is very concerned about the safety of the witnesses in the case whose identities could become compromised if the affidavit is unsealed. Bratt pointed to amateur Internet sleuths who could find their personal information.
Starting point is 00:03:05 Amateur Internet sleuths. They're worried about folks finding out information. You mean like where Jared Kushner lives? I mean, this is what they're referring to. Right. Whoever the mole is, they don't want the mole to be identified, to be outed. And I mean, can you imagine if it turns out the president's son-in-law was the one who gave information to the FBI? Or one of his attorneys or one of his, I mean,
Starting point is 00:03:35 could be anyone at this point. I am, Doc, I'm going to stand on what we said last week, that the thing that they're concealing, the government, what the government is concealing in this warrant is they're after the binder. And the binder contains the documents that implicates FBI officials and intelligence agency officials in Operation Crossfire Hurricane. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:01 That's what they're hiding. They're terrified it's going to be published and I'm going to stand on that and because I can't think of anything else I never in a I am never going to buy the propaganda that that Donald Trump smuggled nuclear secrets out of the White House and was going to peddle them on eBay or something. Is that the most ridiculous theory that's out there right now? And they'll expect you to believe that.
Starting point is 00:04:32 They throw this stuff out there because half the country will believe it. And that's all they want. They just want to get half the country to believe a lie. So Jeffrey Epstein's employee did not make a decision today he said he's going to think about it for a week for a week and he'll give the government uh time to tell him why he should not release things he said he's going to release part of it that's probably going to be the cover letter the envelope you know the meat of it's not going to be released right because it probably going to be the cover letter, the envelope. You know, the meat of it is not going to be released. Right. Because it's going to be redacted one way or another.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Well, it wasn't his only troublehead today, Doc. His former chief financial officer was convicted today. That's right. CBS News is reporting former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg pled guilty today in a fraud case and is agreeing to testify against the company. Now, we're going to explain how this is working here. Allen Weisselberg, the former longtime chief financial officer of the Trump Organization,
Starting point is 00:05:39 pleaded guilty Thursday to 15 counts of fraud and tax evasion, acknowledging that he was part of a scheme to receive more than $1.7 million in off-the-books perks and compensation from former President Donald Trump's namesake firm. Weisselberg entered the plea in a Manhattan courtroom where he admitted to his crimes and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in the criminal case against two Trump organization entities. And so, Rick, you want to help us sort this out here? Well, I mean, what they have is a matter of company perks, benefits that he got that the IRS says that was income.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Now, Doc, we don't know what those things are. It doesn't mean that he got cash. Right. He could have driven a car, leased a car. Anything that the IRS said, that was a financial perk, and you should have paid taxes on it. So they got a conviction. They got him to plead guilty to 15 felonies.
Starting point is 00:06:47 It's really serious, okay? But he gets five months in jail at Rikers Island in New York. But he has to, he's agreed to be the prosecution witness against the Trump organization, the main corporation of Trump. Mr. Trump has not been charged. He's not been indicted. Right. He's not been accused of any particular wrongdoing in this case. His company has been charged. If they're found guilty, the company is found guilty, there'll be a massive fine that will be levied on the company. But nobody's going to go to jail from the Trump organization.
Starting point is 00:07:28 Right. They went after Mr. Weisselberg because they got their hands on Donald Trump's tax returns and they couldn't find anything in the tax returns to charge Donald Trump. So the way they always operate is they have to get somebody's
Starting point is 00:07:48 scalp. Somebody's got to go to jail to justify the investigation. And so they turned to Mr. Weisselberg and they started to find out, well, did you turn in receipts for this expense? You got this benefit during your year. Did you pay taxes on it? They got enough on him that they got a conviction. So he had to plead guilty or they were going to send him away. Right. And he's going to spend five years, I mean five months, five months in jail and five years on probation.
Starting point is 00:08:26 Now, there's the key part of it that he has to now be a witness for the prosecution. Right. Now, it just occurs to me, Rick, that they were never able to find anything on Donald Trump in this current witch hunt, which is what this was. They're not likely to find anything in the next round of the witch hunt either.
Starting point is 00:08:45 No, they'll get a conviction on the corporation, not on Donald Trump. I mean, I don't know how far it will go, but his corporation will be found guilty. It will pay a fine. You can just figure that's a done deal. But Donald Trump has not been charged. Nobody else in the corporation has been charged.
Starting point is 00:09:06 And so this is just another attack on the Trump name itself more than anything else, isn't it? You know what they want? They want Donald Trump to have a heart attack or a stroke. They just want to wear him out. I got to say, whether you like him or not, I have never seen anybody with such a level of fight in him. I mean, the man has stamina. Most people would have collapsed by this point.
Starting point is 00:09:37 And every, what would seem on the other side to be a defeat for Donald Trump, he uses a rocket fuel. He just turns around and becomes more popular, raises money. I mean, the FBI raid actually increased his poll numbers. Yes, and fundraising. And fundraising. So it backfired on them. It made him into a martyr. And people said the government really is after him.
Starting point is 00:10:04 They do want to put him in prison. I want to turn our attention to another topic. Now, this is not getting any publicity in America. We're going to know tomorrow, by this time tomorrow, whether this threat was carried out or not. I'm only reporting what the Russian newspapers are reporting. So, you know, tomorrow afternoon, don't say, hey, Rick, it didn't happen. What's the deal? I'm just telling you what is in the Russian newspapers. You and I will wait until tomorrow to see see if it occurs. So according to RT, Ukraine is planning a nuclear provocation on Friday. Now, Ukraine plans to carry out artillery strikes on the Russian-controlled Zephyr Zayi nuclear power plant on Friday and then accuse Moscow of causing a disaster at the site,
Starting point is 00:11:02 the Russian defense ministry said on Thursday. Now, the predicted attack will be timed to coincide with the ongoing visit to Ukraine by U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Moscow insisted. An official said they had detected the movements of Ukrainian troops, indicating a looming provocation. Now, Kiev has deployed units trained in responding to the use of weapons of mass destruction, pre-positioning them to report a radiation leak and demonstrate a purported action to mitigate it, Russian military spokesman Igor Konashenkov said. The ministry said it expects a Ukrainian artillery unit to attack the plant on Friday from the city of Nikopol.
Starting point is 00:11:43 The blame for the consequences of the strike will be attributed to the Russian armed forces, the statement said. Now, in a separate statement on Thursday, Igor Kirillov, who heads Russia's nuclear, biological, and chemical defense troops, says his directorate has modeled possible scenarios for the disaster at the Zaporozhye plant.
Starting point is 00:12:04 A plume of radioactive materials from the site could reach as far as Poland, Slovakia, and Germany, he warned. Now, Russia has accused Ukraine of conducting frequent drone and artillery strikes against the nuclear power plant in the city of Inogadar over the past few weeks. Kiev has denied responsibility and said Russian forces were attacking the plant to discredit Ukraine. Ukrainian officials have also claimed that Russia is using the facility as a military base. During the briefing, Konashenkov denied Ukrainian claims that Russia has deployed heavy weapons at the plant and is attacking Ukrainian troops from the
Starting point is 00:12:43 site. The only Russian troops at the facility are lightly armed guards providing physical security, the official said. Now, we've seen a lot of activity at this particular plant over the past several weeks now. And we don't know who to believe. Right. Both sides are saying the other side is the one shelling the plant. But here's the one argument I would make is that the plant is still operating. Yes. It's still producing electricity. There are not blackouts that are occurring as a result of the power plant going offline.
Starting point is 00:13:14 The Russians are keeping the power on. Right. They could shut off the power. They have control of the plant. That's true. They could shut off the electricity for the entire region, but they haven't done that. It's not easy to power down a nuclear power plant. They could shut off the electricity for the entire region, but they haven't done that. So it's not easy to power down a nuclear power plant. You just don't push stop. Right. But you can cut off the electricity coming out of it. So and they haven't done that yet. No. Why would
Starting point is 00:13:39 Ukraine blow up a power plant in Ukraine, knowing the radiological calamity that they're going to cause, why would they do it? Because then the whole world gets involved, Rick. The whole world gets involved. Because now it's a nuclear disaster. Worse than Chernobyl. The worst nuclear accident,
Starting point is 00:14:03 nuclear incident, let's say, since Hiroshima. I mean, the whole world will get involved in this. I think you're right. That explains it. They want to create a disaster so horrible that world leaders would say, that's it. NATO must go into Ukraine now. Yes. Look, if the Russians are right, this is going to happen tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:14:28 And they're saying that they have witnessed Ukrainian troops prepared for weapons of mass destruction action, radiological, biological warfare. They said they've seen Ukrainian troops moving into position near the plant. So we may have a really big story by this time tomorrow. Let's hope not. I hope it doesn't happen. On the topic of the UN Secretary General, Mr. Guterres,
Starting point is 00:15:05 he announced the readiness of the United Nations to organize a visit of the International Atomic Energy Agency to go to the plant. Right, so the United Nations can provide, and this is what they're saying, can provide logistics and security for the visit of the International Atomic Energy Agency to the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant if this decision is supported by Ukraine and Russia.
Starting point is 00:15:31 And this was announced earlier today by U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres at a press conference following a trilateral meeting that occurred today, Rick, between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Turkish leader Erdogan in Lviv today. We're going to talk about that meeting in just a minute. But before we get to that meeting in Turkey, this is really interesting. Mr. Erdogan has now interjected himself as the broker, the mediator. But another story that's important, this was published by Politico.com. The United States approves of Ukraine striking Russian-occupied Crimea.
Starting point is 00:16:15 So we have seen, Doc, in the last two weeks, there's been a series of blasts in Crimea. And if the Western news reports are accurate, the blasts have inflicted heavy losses on the Russian military. Military bases, planes, ammo depots. They had an ammo depot today blow up. So we know that there have been multiple attacks on Crimea in the past two weeks. What Politico is saying is Ukraine got the green light from Washington to attack Crimea. And that's a change in the current doctrine of the war. Now we're moving into direct attacks on what really Russian territory, at least from the Russians' perspective. Their holy land. Right. And they're going to fight to the death now.
Starting point is 00:17:15 Because up to this point, you had not seen those direct attacks on Crimea. Now the gates are opened up. So Ukraine is saying Crimea belongs to us. Russia says it's always been Russian and it is our holy land. It's where Christianity came from. We will never give it up. Ukraine will never get it back. And Ukraine is now attacking Crimea. So mentally, think about, you have the Russian forces in Ukraine carrying out war inside Ukraine. But now you have Ukrainian forces carrying out attacks in Russia. Crimea. This is getting really serious now.
Starting point is 00:18:01 And the next step beyond that is on pure Russian territory. Like Moscow. Right. Now, this article from Politico, it says, Attacking Crimea is fair game for Ukraine, and it has America's support to hit the Russians there. Kiev was behind the three explosions this past week on the Russian annexed peninsula per a CNN-obtained Ukrainian government document,
Starting point is 00:18:25 including the large blast at the Saki Air Base that destroyed several of Moscow's warplanes. Now, no Ukrainian official has yet publicly admitted to Kiev's involvement in the Crimea campaign, but the defense minister, Alexei Reznikov, told Voice of America Wednesday that Ukraine hasn't ruled out striking the occupied territory with U.S. provided weapons. He goes on to say, if we're talking today about the deoccupation of temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine where the enemy is, then correspondingly, we have no such restrictions, he said, emphasizing that there still would be no attacks inside the legally recognized boundaries of Russia,
Starting point is 00:19:05 though there have been some, and this is Politico saying this, mysterious blasts on Russian border cities. A senior administration official told NatSec Daily the U.S. supports strikes on Crimea if Kiev deems them necessary. He says, we don't select targets, of course, and everything we provided is for self-defense purposes. Any target they choose to pursue on sovereign Ukrainian soil is by definition self-defense, this person said. After your host checked to see if the administration considered the peninsula sovereign Ukrainian territory, the official replied, Crimea is Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:19:46 A Ukrainian official said that message of support has made its way to Kiev. And so basically they've given the green light now to attack Russian forces on Crimean territory because they can, in Ukraine's mind, they can blow up their own territory, right? So the Ukrainians are blowing up Russian military bases, Russian ammo depots in Crimea. What's the big structure in Crimea? The Kerch Strait Bridge. Right. They're working, Doc, they're working their way. They're working their way to blowing up that bridge. It is coming. I don't know if it's days or weeks, but we are moving in that direction. We mentioned the meeting with President Erdogan and President Zelensky. This is Harriet Daly from Turkey.
Starting point is 00:20:44 Erdogan meets Zelensky, Guterres, the United Nations Secretary General, at a three-way summit in Lviv. And we have some video to show you of that meeting. The article says that we can go ahead and play the video. So it says Turkey and Ukraine on Thursday signed an agreement deal for the war-torn country, with Zelensky hailing a visit by President Erdogan as a powerful message of support for its neighbor. The two presidents met on Thursday as Ukraine continues to endure an invasion by Russia. So this happened today. Suddenly we have the president of Turkey who is now the man who is trying to be the peace broker.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Right. The peacemaker, the mediator. What do you think his motive is in this, Doc? Well, he's always been in that position hasn't he hasn't erdogan always played both sides of the game yes he's doing it again and he recently remember he recently brokered this grain deal just a couple weeks ago to allow uh you know between russia and ukraine to allow grain exports out of ukraine and so he's brokered that deal now he's brokering this deal. But here's where the money is.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Always follow the money. On the sidelines of this, there was an agreement that was made for Turkey to take point in the reconstruction of Ukraine following the war. That was part of the agreement today. So Turkish Trade Minister Mehmet Yus and Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Alexander Kuprikov signed a memorandum of understanding
Starting point is 00:22:30 that would see Turkey involved in helping to rebuild Ukrainian infrastructure after the conflict ended. Okay, so we've had a week or two ago, we talked about China being invited in to rebuild Ukraine. I think we've mentioned Israel. Yes. It was another country that wanted to come in, I forget. So now it's Turkey. But Turkey's the first one to get a signed agreement. Yes.
Starting point is 00:22:55 That it will have a stake in rebuilding Ukraine. Mr. Erdogan, the president of Turkey, his next trip is Moscow. That's right. And this is, let's see, what number is it? Number 22. Number 22, Erdogan announces plans to discuss his visit to Ukraine with Putin. And see, now this is where it's interesting for President Erdogan. He still has access to all these leaders.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Yes. He's in NATO. He's in NATO, but he can go to Moscow. I mean, he's still, like I said, he has constantly, over all the years that I've had the privilege of sitting here with you and talking about this, he has played both sides of the aisle. And neither side has
Starting point is 00:23:47 gotten publicly fed up with him right so what is it about him does just everybody just like him yeah or is he the antichrist i don't know but uh or he's playing an important role um and and both sides are saying okay here's the person we both can agree on that we will talk to. Because the only way you can have negotiations stop a war is that both sides have to agree on the negotiator. That's right. The court-appointed mediator. If you're going to go to mediation, both sides have to agree on the mediator. Yes.
Starting point is 00:24:25 So it appears that President Erdogan is the man that Putin and Zelensky and Biden all agree. We'll recognize it. We'll let him work it out. Which means he can fly to Washington. He can fly to London. He can fly to London. He can fly to Kiev. He can fly to Moscow. He can fly to Beijing if he wanted to.
Starting point is 00:24:51 This guy can get into all those countries. And here's something else that happened just this week. Turkey and Israel have restored full relations now. They've established ambassadors once again. And they broke this off, you know, like a decade ago. But now, now that we've got a nice big war going on in Europe, suddenly Turkey and Israel are friends again. And today was the first time we heard reconstruction in a concrete way.
Starting point is 00:25:20 You know, other articles have said, here are the players that could be in reconstruction. But this time, this is a signed agreement. So Turkey is in the forefront. And I suspect that's why Israel is linking up with their old nemesis, Erdogan, to say, we want in on it too. Right. Let's share. Let's work this out.
Starting point is 00:25:45 There's enough business for everybody. Don't be greedy. And we're going to see that. You're going to see multiple countries getting involved in Ukraine. Let's see. We'll move to Taiwan now. Focus Taiwan. 51 Chinese warplanes, six warships spotted near Taiwan today.
Starting point is 00:26:06 Right, and the Defense Ministry of Taiwan, the Republic of China, is watching these movements. We have this tweet from the Ministry of Defense in Taiwan, number 24 for control, saying that six PLA Navy vessels, 51 PLA aircraft around or surrounding the region were detected today, August 18th for them. The Republic of Korea, the Taiwan forces have monitored the situation and responded to these activities with their own aircraft, naval vessels, and land-based missile systems. Suffice it to say that one of the important aspects of this is you see that line going between China and Taiwan? That line really doesn't exist anymore.
Starting point is 00:26:50 China has crossed that line significantly. It was the median line, they called it, and it was supposed to be sort of a separation. Both sides were supposed to stay on their side of the line. But that's out the window now. Thanks to Nancy Pelosi. That's right. And we had another congressional delegation go this week, and so that has exacerbated the situation.
Starting point is 00:27:11 And there's a Japanese delegation going. Oh, so everybody's going to Taiwan now. Everybody. Get their last vacation in before it gets blown up. Well, the United States announced that the U.S. government is entering into negotiations with Taiwan for a trade agreement, and obviously that didn't make Beijing happy. Times of London reporting today, China threatens the United States over trade deal with Taiwan.
Starting point is 00:27:36 That's right. Rick, I see we have just about a minute left here. Oh, yeah. I forgot. Hey, you folks on broadcast, I get into this so much and I forget that half of our audience is anywhere a big chunk of our audience can only watch this on television for 30 minutes and we have to check out so if you're watching on direct TV or cable television or broadcast please go over to truenews.com and you can watch the rest of this show, truenews.com. And you will hear news that just isn't allowed to be reported on Fox News and CNN and ABC. They just don't, I guess they don't have the internet in their offices. They can't find the stories that we find. But a lot of people for 24 years have been coming to True News to get that kind of news.
Starting point is 00:28:29 Why don't you stay with us? And we'll be back tomorrow. Those rest of you, hang in there. All right, welcome back. All right, yes, almost talked my way right through that break. Well, we were talking about China and the threat that they are making about all the trade deals that we're making with Taiwan. And we can put that Times of London still back up on the screen, if you don't mind, guys. This is, you know, China has warned the United States
Starting point is 00:29:13 against pursuing trade talks with Taiwan as it vowed to take resolute measures to protect its sovereignty. Taiwan and the U.S. said yesterday that they would start trade talks. The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative said the two sides had reached consensus on the negotiating mandate and it was expected that the first round of talks would take place early this autumn. Wang Wenbin, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman, told reporters that Beijing opposed any country
Starting point is 00:29:40 signing official trade deals with Taiwan and called on the U.S. to stop its engagement with the island. China will take resolute measures to uphold its national sovereignty and territorial integrity. We advise the United States stop making misjudgments, he said. And so, Rick, is this more smoke or is there any fire to this this time, do you think? I do not think the United States is going to go to war with China. I think Biden is in China's hip pocket. So anything Biden does that looks like he's provoking China, it's all theater. It's all theater. It's theater. Right. There's Pelosi and Biden and the rest of those communcrats
Starting point is 00:30:29 are setting the stage to give China the justification to invade Taiwan. That's all they're doing. They're setting this. What Nancy Pelosi did was allowed Xi Jinping to say the new normal is perpetual war games. Right. They didn't, they didn't attack Taiwan while she was there. Remember how we were concerned that they were, the Chinese were saying, we might blow her
Starting point is 00:30:59 out of the sky. We might, you know, shoot down her plane, you know. No, they weren't going to do any of that. That was all worked out. That's my personal feeling. It was all worked out before she went. Her purpose was to give China cover to step up the military activities against Taiwan. A big clue for me for that, Rick, was Paul Pelosi Jr. And I'll tell you why. His investments are not in Taiwan. His investments are in China.
Starting point is 00:31:32 And so here is Paul Pelosi Jr. on the Taiwan tour with Nancy, touring Taiwan facilities, Taiwan semiconductors, but his interests and his investments are in China. Yeah. So what would you, do you think he might have gotten back on the phone when he got back home and said, you won't believe what they're doing? Yeah. No, Pelosi's don't want China to be in a war with the United States. They want China to get control of Taiwan. I read today, and I didn't bring the story out here today. It is on True News on the front page. And I don't even remember his name,
Starting point is 00:32:12 Doc. There's a U.S. Democratic congressman who, the bank account is closed now, but he had to admit, yeah, that was it. That was my bank account. His bank account was with the Bank of China. Right. A member of the U.S. Congress in the Democratic Party had a Bank of China checking account. What does that say?
Starting point is 00:32:43 It says that they're all in China's bank account. They're all in China, and they get direct deposits. Vicente Gonzalez, that's who it was. They get direct deposits. That's what I'm saying. We've been sold out. We've been sold out a long time ago. And I don't expect a war with China.
Starting point is 00:33:07 I do expect a war with Russia. Okay. The U.S. wants to take down Russia, but China wants to take over America. Russia's not trying to take over America. They don't have the wherewithal to do it, to attack the country, invade the country, take it over. They can't do it.
Starting point is 00:33:33 China can. What the U.S. wants to do is eliminate Russia, which eliminates China's other competitor. That's where they're going with this. And so then it becomes the world versus China at other competitor. That's where they're going with this. And so then it becomes the world versus China at that point. Or the Western world. It's just China. Everything becomes China at that point.
Starting point is 00:33:56 Hey, we're going to switch over to talking about drought. We were going to do this yesterday. We ran out of time. I'm going to go through this fairly quickly. But, you know, yesterday we were talking about the energy problems, particularly with the LNG gas and Germany and Europe, that there's going to be a energy crisis this fall and winter. There's no doubt in my mind, unless this war stops immediately and they get the gas flowing right away. Without that, there's going to be serious disruptions in Europe this fall and winter, even to the point that they're now talking about there will be civil unrest. And they're preparing for it. They're
Starting point is 00:34:38 preparing for civil unrest because electricity will be mandatory blackouts of electricity this winter. So they know that there's going to be civil unrest. There was a government official in Germany, and he said that anti-vaxxers and populists and these people complaining about energy blackouts. All in one pot. All of them. He goes, they're enemies of the state.
Starting point is 00:35:09 Domestic terrorists. So that's the attitude that the government officials are going to take. So if you get cold this winter and you complain about it. You're an enemy of the state. You're a domestic terrorist. Yes. Now the enemies of the people are these freaks that are doing this stuff to the people. They're the enemy of the people are these freaks that are doing this stuff to the people.
Starting point is 00:35:27 They're the enemy of the people. We're not the enemy of the state. They are the enemies of the people. Hey, Rick, a story that you've talked about for weeks and even months, but really is a hidden story all across the world, is the subject of drought around the world. And as we started out looking into this yesterday, it shocked me how many stories about drought there are out there globally. I mean, all around the world. I mean, it was really shocking and no one's talking about this. No one's talking about it at all. Not in a global picture. Right.
Starting point is 00:36:08 You're seeing articles about localized drought. Right. But nobody's showing you the global picture of drought. We're going to go through some stories to give you that picture. Washington Post, the Northeast United States is in the middle of an intense drought. I didn't know the Northeast was in a drought. I didn't either until I came across it. And then I started to find out Rhode Island, Massachusetts,
Starting point is 00:36:35 other New England states are in an official state of drought right now. And so the article here from CNBC, this is going out back out west, which has been suffering extensive drought. They're in the midst of a 1,200-year drought. Feds are calling for water cutbacks to avoid a catastrophic collapse of the Colorado River. And so they have actually started now talking about cutting off several states from accessing water of the Colorado River. I mean, this is a story really nobody talks about right now. Yeah, the Colorado River is roughly about 1,400 miles long. Right.
Starting point is 00:37:20 Runs through a lot of western states, goes down to Mexico. And if the feds cut off water to certain states, you're going to see livestock die. You're going to see crops wither. Farmers won't have water to irrigate. They won't have water for their livestock. And it's going to be catastrophic. But what was interesting in here is that they're saying if there are not cutbacks, there will be a catastrophic collapse of the river itself.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Right. Let's take a look at what the CNBC article says. So it said, for the second year in a row, the federal government said Arizona, Nevada, and Mexico will have to reduce their water consumption. This is number 32 for control. The worsening drought crisis impacting the Colorado River Basin is driven by the effects of climate change, including extreme heat and low precipitation, said Deputy Secretary of the Department of Interior Tommy Boudreau in a statement announcing the required cuts. Now, the Colorado River is 1,450 miles long and runs through the western states and into Mexico. Now, he says that climate change is a part of this, but in reality, the Colorado River Basin has been in drought for 23 years, Rick.
Starting point is 00:38:43 And so the water released from the two dams, the two major dams on the Colorado River, the Glean Canyon Dam and the Hoover Dam, will be reduced, the Department of the Interior said. In the second year in a row of water shortages is a sign of the severity of the drought and critically low reservoir conditions, the Department of the Interior said.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Every sector and every state has a responsibility to ensure that water is used with maximum efficiency. And in order to avoid a catastrophic collapse of the Colorado River system and a future of uncertainty and conflict, water use in the basin must be reduced. And that was a statement by Tanya Trujillo, Assistant Secretary for Water and Science at the Department of Interior. Now, Rick, I'll share something on a report I heard today regarding the Colorado River Basin, that over the past year, they've seen a drop of 40 feet. If the Colorado River Basin drops another 40 feet, it could impact the ability for the Glen Canyon and the Hoover dams to produce electricity. That's how critical that this is. So it's not just a water shortage,
Starting point is 00:39:55 but it's also the potential for a catastrophic energy shortage in the West. Because if you lose Hoover Dam, you lose the Glen Canyon Dam. That provides electricity not just for Arizona and Nevada, but as far as California, parts of California. Wow. That's a mind-boggling point. We have been talking about this megadrought. This is a 1,200-year cycle megadrought. Not just a drought. It's a 1200 year cycle mega drought, not just a drought. Yes. It's a mega drought. It's, it's why, uh, ancient Indian first nation tribes left and they don't know where they went
Starting point is 00:40:36 because there was no water for years, for decades. Okay. So we said years ago in this program, if you live in the western states, you should seriously consider vacating. It's not going to get better for a long time. It's going to get worse for quite some time. So I know that's hard if you're a rancher. Your family has owned that ranch for 150 years. If your family roots in California and Nevada and Arizona, go back to the Old West. It's hard. Yes.
Starting point is 00:41:17 It's hard to just vacate. But it's a mega drought. The government can't fix it. Al Gore can't fix it. It's a mega drought the government can't fix it al gore can't fix it it's a mega drought it's not going to go away for a long time it's going to get worse and so i had i hadn't thought about that doc the river dropped so low that you can't have to shut the dam hoover dam power generating station has to shut down. That's right. What do you do at that point? There goes Las Vegas.
Starting point is 00:41:48 Yes. There goes a major portion of the southeast as far as being able to access energy. So you're going to see energy issues popping up here. You're going to have to compensate that for other areas of the national grid. And we're just not up for that. We really aren't. No, and when you go to sell your home, when you realize I really should get out of here, if you wait until everybody thinks the same thing,
Starting point is 00:42:13 there's a collapse in property values. I mean, if you wait until Hoover Dam shuts down, the power station, everybody else is also trying to sell.'s right there's a collapse of real estate market so you may still be able okay you do what you pray and you seek the lord about it uh don't do it because i'm telling you but i i'm just what i'm telling you is you should, if you live in the West, you should seriously consider whether the Lord wants you to move long term for your family, future generations. Where should you be? Right. You should be someplace where there's a lot of water. I'm glad God brought me to Florida because we're living in a
Starting point is 00:43:05 swamp. That's really what this is. It's a reclaimed swamp. There's water everywhere. All right. You step outside, there's water. There's water. Believe me. We got a swamp out back. Yeah. There's water everywhere. There's fish everywhere. There's animals. There's birds. There's green stuff growing, there's crops growing. It's a good place to be in a drought time. Let's look at the rest of these stories. Well, Rick, I find it ironic a little bit that what caused the boom in the West in the early part of the 20th century was its availability of energy and water. Remember the Dust Bowl occurred and you had a massive migration of people from drought-stricken states in a global cooling cycle, a dip in the global cooling cycle,
Starting point is 00:43:51 that forced a migration of numbers of people out west to California, Nevada. You know, there was water everywhere in California. There was energy everywhere in California and Nevada. But also the government did these marvelous construction projects like Hoover Dam. Right. And a power utility station there. And they brought electricity to the desert. And water was moved in. Yes. Lake Mead, the other lakes that were put in, these were man-made lakes. But the desert's taking it back. That's right.
Starting point is 00:44:32 We tried to turn it into an oasis. Now the desert is taking it back. It's going to be a desert for a long, long time. It should make us really consider, does man really have an impact on the climate? Or does climate have an impact on us? I mean, we're in a 1200 year cycle. By the way, most of these drought articles that we're telling you about today, they're within the past couple of days. Oh yeah. This is all new stuff. All new. All these. Next one is 35 from the Yale Climate Connections publication. Extreme drought
Starting point is 00:45:07 cuts into Montana ranchers' profits. We'll move on to Wall Street Journal. Drought devastates U.S. cotton harvests. I didn't realize how much cotton was actually grown in the southwest U.S. I thought most of it was in the Southeast US, but a great percentage of cotton is grown out west because in the past there was an abundance of water, as you mentioned, Rick, because of the dams that we constructed and the canals and everything that was connected to those water sources.
Starting point is 00:45:41 Those water sources are drying up. Going over to Europe, and we've talked about this over the past several days, and this is going to be a critical issue when it comes to energy, too. This is number 39 for control, and this is actually from the True News site. German industry is raising alarm
Starting point is 00:45:58 over the falling Rhine River level. And the way that this is going to impact Germany is in two ways. First of all, agriculture. Secondly, transport on the Rhine River. There's a lot of cargo that gets transported on the Rhine River. But significantly, one element of cargo that's very important is coal. And now the coal barges- That's just going to the plants. Right. Electricity plants. They have already stopped some coal barges
Starting point is 00:46:28 from going down the Rhine River because it doesn't have enough clearance for the barge. But coal was the temporary solution to fill in the gap from the loss of Russian gas. Right.
Starting point is 00:46:38 They didn't plan on this, did they? No. But God did. France 24. Francis, unprecedented drought shows climate change is spiraling out of control. No, it's not climate change. It's sin. Sin is spiraling out of control and drought is God's response to mankind's sin. That may be old fashioned Bible thumping theology, but it is accurate. Read the Bible. When sin gets absolutely out of control, God sends drought. And that's the
Starting point is 00:47:18 message that we're sending to everyone watching this right now. the way to end the drought is not a rain dance. You don't dance to the gods and ask the gods to send rain. The way to break the drought is repentance and righteousness. Turn to God. When nations repent and turn back to God, God opens the heavens and the rain falls. It's just that simple. And people can laugh, mock me, anything they want, but I believe my God.
Starting point is 00:47:53 I believe my Father. I know what He said. His Word says He stops the rain. And that's all I need to know, Doc. Right. I don't need to know about climate change. I need to know the one who made the climate. That's right. And when his mind changes about whether we should have rain, then I'm concerned. And it's obvious that worldwide,
Starting point is 00:48:21 the Lord is turning off the rain. I didn't know France was in a drought. I didn't know it until this week. And like we said, all these articles are popping up here in the last couple days. Next, this is the Washington Post. France is going through its most severe drought ever, says the prime minister. French Prime Minister Elizabeth Warren warned that France is facing its most severe drought. Now think about that. France has been around for quite a while,
Starting point is 00:48:47 and they've got historical records that go back centuries. This is their worst drought ever. Also reporting from Europe, French farmers are warning of rising prices, another impact of drought. Peaches, kiwis, apples, pears, carrots, cucumbers, just everything all set to dramatically change in price after France's worst drought in 60 years is leading to severely reduced harvests. So the drought will contribute to the rapid rate of inflation that we're experiencing.
Starting point is 00:49:18 That's right. But it's Russia's fault. So here's an article from News Australia talking about Italy. Water levels on Italy's Lake Garda have dropped now to a 15-year low. So Italy is being impacted, and this drought is also impacting Italy's rice crops. I didn't know there's Italian rice. It's risotto. Have you ever had risotto? I have, but I just never connected that it's rice. Had to come from somewhere. I know. National Geographic had this article today. Once again, all these articles in the past couple of days.
Starting point is 00:49:56 This is number 45 for control. The drought across Europe, excuse me, extreme drought threatens Italy's rice crops and its beloved risotto. So this drought across Europe is drying up rivers, killing fish, and shriveling crops all across Europe. Once again, all these articles just within the past couple days. And you can see there's the riverbed. There's the banks.
Starting point is 00:50:20 Look, it's dried out. That's what's left of this river in Europe. Rick, I came across a tweet that I found really interesting here. Now, this is a tweet from a website called Archeohistories. And recent droughts in Europe once again made visible the hunger stones. Ever heard of the hunger stones? No. In some Czech and German rivers. Now, these stones were used to mark desperately low river levels that would forecast famines.
Starting point is 00:50:51 Now, this one in the Elbe River is from 1616 and says, if you see me, cry, or if you see me, weep. And so if you see the stone, these markings on here. So the only way the marks show up is there's another drop. Its water level goes down. And so what's interesting is all these writings are upside down, so people laid on the rock and carved into the rock upside down. And the lowest ones there, we haven't even seen the lowest ones. If you see me, cry.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Or if you see me, weep. That's how another site said it. But what I wanted to bring out with this is that these have happened before. Yes. These have happened before in the past. And you would think the climate cult out there would think, well, we've never seen anything like this before. We have seen events like this before in the past. Humanity has seen it. They've seen it in recent history. And so...
Starting point is 00:51:52 That was in the 1600s? Yes, the one that is at the level right now. Okay, that's when the last ice age started. That's right. Ice age was... So if you bring that up... 200 plus years, 1600s to the early 1800s. And there are a number of these across Europe. This was one of the most dramatic ones and
Starting point is 00:52:16 everything. But think about that. Someone carved into stone, you know, I'm going to make sure people in the future remember what happened here. I have never heard this. The hunger stones. That is fascinating, Doc, that people living at that time felt impressed to carve a prophetic warning that would not be seen for another 400 years right and we're in it right now we're in it right now that's right now what we want people to understand this is not a temporary drought this is severe this is global it and it's connected to a lot of other things that are happening in the world right now. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:53:09 NPR number 46. We did that one, didn't we? Yes. Number 48. Okay, so I'll monitor. Iraq's Garden of Eden now like a desert. Yeah, I didn't realize that there were areas of marshes all over Iraq and on the border with Iran where they grew numerous crops. But now that has dried up. You can walk across this marsh where just a few years ago there was no way you could have done that.
Starting point is 00:53:37 The new humanitarian, when you think of drought, you usually think of places like Ethiopia. But now Ethiopia is seeing a worsening drought and hunger numbers are soaring there as well. He says, if rain doesn't fall this year, the future will be disastrous. That's from a leading government official in Ethiopia. And so if it's bad, where Ethiopia is calling it a drought, you know it's bad. But we're also seeing this impacted in China too. Times of India, China is taking action to alleviate drought as record heat wave continues. And the Business Times also reporting on China's dealing with drought, saying that the Yangtze River shrinks as heat waves and drought threaten crops in China.
Starting point is 00:54:23 And what's interesting, you dig down in this Business Times article, it also talks about the dam on the Yangtze River too, that if it drops to a certain level, the power would be reduced. So, you know, it's really interesting. Is the Euphrates drying up? And the Euphrates... Is it?
Starting point is 00:54:41 I didn't even think about looking. The other day. Is it drying up? Somebody sent that article the other day. Is it drying up? Someone sent an email the other day about that. With China, did we, yeah, so the Yangtze River. I read today that the Chinese government is shooting into the atmosphere silver oxide rods. Yes. Trying to seed the clouds to make it rain.
Starting point is 00:55:07 So what are we seeing here? Drought in America, drought in Europe, drought in Asia, drought in Africa. It looks to me, Doc, like the drought is northern hemisphere.
Starting point is 00:55:23 Yes. And I, so tomorrow I'm going to have to research that. Is there any drought in the southern hemisphere? Or is it all northern hemisphere? It seems to be along the same latitudes around the world too. That's what I'm saying. It seems like there's a belt around the world that's dry right now. But we'll have to do some research on it. a belt around the world that's dry right now.
Starting point is 00:55:46 But we'll have to do some research on it. Hey, what I know, Doc, is Jesus is coming. That's what I know. Jesus Christ is coming. And whether, you know, whether you and I are alive on this earth on the day that he comes collectively for the entire church. Or whether it's the day that he comes just for you or just for me. Doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:56:18 You've got to be ready for that visit. And the way that you're ready is that your name is written in the book of life and the way that you get your name in the book of life is repent of your sins believe in the name of Jesus as the Savior of the world and be baptized in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit and that's the way you do it and I want to encourage you to do it. Don't hesitate. Don't put it off. We're living in amazing times, absolutely amazing times to witness, to see these things happening. It can be challenging. It can be frightening if you dwell on it too much. But if you put it in perspective that these are the signs that Jesus said would happen before he comes back, then you get excited. that only means Jesus Christ is coming in the eastern sky. That's what it means.
Starting point is 00:57:27 We're going to have to go through some stuff that's not going to be pleasant, but it's not going to last forever. Keep your eyes on the prize, and Jesus Christ is the prize. It's not the rapture. It's not heaven. It's him. It's him. It's him. His presence is the greatest treasure. It's Christ himself who is the greatest treasure. Don't forget about our trip to the Holy Land. We're still here in November. Doc and I are leading a group of True News fans over to the
