This is True News, the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help us God.
I'm Rick Wiles.
Today is Thursday, September 14, 2023. It appears that Ukraine has launched a
second phase of its military counteroffensive against Russia. Yesterday, missiles fired by
Ukraine hit Russia's naval port in Crimea. A warship and submarine were destroyed, along with
a large section of the Russian naval port,
which serves as the headquarters for Russia's Black Sea naval fleet.
The Storm Shadow missiles were supplied by Great Britain.
Today, another round of missile and drone attacks scored big hits
against the Russian S-400 air defense system. Ukraine's military also released video
of Ukrainian commandos seizing control of Russian oil platforms. Clearly, something big started this
week that could provoke Russia to launch a devastating attack on Ukraine, possibly even
London. We have a lot prepared for you today, including updates on the Federal
Reserve Bank's scheme to introduce a CBDC digital dollar, and constitutionalist Paul Ingle will join
us later in this hour. This first hour is co-sponsored by Genesis Gold and American Reserves, a new source for emergency food supplies.
For more information on both of these sponsors, visit truenewsgold.com and americanreserves.com.
Now, let's take a look at the latest developments in World War III. Doc Burkhardt is here with me.
Yes, sir.
We'll start with this BBC report.
This is all new today, folks.
This is all late-breaking news today.
BBC, Russian air defense system destroyed in Crimea.
And it says that Ukraine says it destroyed
a sophisticated air defense system in occupied Crimea.
Kiev Security Service and Navy carried out the attack on a Russian facility using cruise missiles and drones, a Ukrainian intelligence source told the BBC.
Now, video footage has already appeared on social media showing a fire and smoke near the city in the West Russian occupied peninsula. Now, according to the BBC's intelligence source, the Ukrainian operation used drones to take
out radar equipment, then cruise missiles to hit air defense launchers.
It says that after disabling the radar stations, the Navy units hit the S-300 and S-400 Triumph
systems worth $1.2 billion by two neptune cruise missiles the source said
now the neptune missiles were designed by ukraine's military for naval use but have been
modified for ground targets as well and here's another report from the daily mail in london
ukraine destroys state-of-the-art r Russian air defense system with new super missiles and kamikaze drones in Crimea.
And Doc's got a brief comment from that newspaper article.
So Kiev's security service says that they managed to blind the Triumph system, the S-400 system,
by firing a series of drones at its radar and antenna before the Navy fired two
of its newly developed Neptune cruise missiles at the system's launch complexes.
And that's according to a Ukrainian intelligence source.
I'd like to remind our viewers and our listeners out there that even though it says that Ukraine
developed these systems, all of the components were supplied by NATO countries.
Yes.
But the Neptune missile, if I'm correct, Doc, and I'm not a military expert, I think the
Neptune missile originally was a Soviet Union missile.
And so the new Neptunes are being built in Ukraine.
But I think you're right.
All the parts, all the software, all the technology
that's going into these new Neptune missiles
are coming from the West.
So it's old Soviet design and new Western technology.
We've got some video we want to show you
of the Neptune missile,
just to give you an idea of what happened today.
I think this is from a website, U.S. Military News on YouTube.
The Neptune missile was designed to target and destroy enemy warships up to 300 kilometers or 186 miles away with a high degree of accuracy and stealth.
Neptune is based on the Soviet-era Kh-35 missile,
but has been upgraded with modern electronics, navigation, and guidance systems.
It can be launched from land, sea, or air platforms
and can carry a 150-kilogram or 330-pound warhead.
Doc, if these reports are correct,
and obviously Russia's not putting out press releases on this today,
but if Ukraine took out an S-400 air defense system
guarding the naval base in Crimea.
The S-400 is supposed to be perfect, impenetrable.
Yes.
It's been in active use, we know, in Syria for a number of years.
But yes, that's supposed to be their first line of defense. That's got to be stunning news in Russian military defense contractor circles.
How did the Ukrainians succeed in taking out our air defense system?
Right.
Because it means Russia doesn't have an air defense system.
The S-400s and the S-500s are what is guarding Moscow.
And that's supposed to guard Moscow
from incoming ICBMs
from the United States.
Or Neptune missiles like these.
But if it couldn't withstand
an attack by Ukrainian missiles,
what does that say about the S-400? What does it say
about the ability of the West to figure out how to get around the S-400? Well, and that's the
problem with war, Rick, is we're always fighting the previous war. We're not fighting the future
war. And so that's where Russia now is at the disadvantage because Ukraine is getting all of its military intelligence and technological support from the West.
And they're just constantly increasing the level of attack here and testing the Russian systems.
So we've had two major attacks in two days in Crimea. It appears to me that
there's a second phase
of the Ukrainian
counteroffensive. The first phase
didn't
do much.
It was a meat grinder. According to
the Russians, they...
And again, we don't know...
Both sides are putting out propaganda. You don't know
which numbers are correct. Russia said yesterday that they killed 71,000 Ukrainian soldiers in the counteroffensive.
Even if you cut that in half, 35,000.
That's a lot of deaths.
So the counteroffensive has been extremely bloody and it did not succeed they were unable using ground
troops to break through the russian lines but they are now hitting russian military installations
in crimea targeting the naval fleet now what is with the S-400 taken out, which again, if up until today, General Chigot,
the defense minister, all the Russian generals, they were telling Vladimir Putin, don't worry,
boss. We've got S-400s around the naval base. Nothing can get past them.
But it did.
Not only did it get past them, it took it out.
Right.
Which, Doc, think about it.
So not only did it get past the S-400, it eliminated the S-400, which means that the Russian ships and submarines at that base are all vulnerable.
And so is the base.
So the first thing you'll see is the Russian military will move all of its assets out to sea.
They'll get their ships and submarines out to sea.
I'm sure that's already happened since yesterday.
But what do you do with a naval base?
You can't pack it up.
The base is now wide open.
It is a wide open target now.
Yes, and imagine trying to evacuate Norfolk, Virginia,
or San Diego, or Pearl Harbor today.
I mean, it just doesn't happen in 15 minutes.
And their sailors are vulnerable.
Right.
The second thing,
it's not a secret that Ukraine,
the Ukrainian military
and intelligence agencies
have not been choosing the targets
for the past two years.
That's common knowledge
that the targets are chosen by Western intelligence
agencies and military advisors. So what does that mean? That means Washington and London
gave the green light to Ukraine yesterday, attacked the naval base, take out their warships.
The fact that, once again, we're back to the decision-making centers.
Right, which is not Kiev.
So the decision-making center to take out the naval base
and to bring down a submarine and a warship and now the S-400.
Those decisions were made in London and Washington.
Right.
And if we take at their word the threats made by General Chagall, Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Medvedev, Russia will take out the decision-making centers that are guiding the Ukrainian military to strike Russia and Russian assets.
The question is, when?
How long will Russia sit back and allow Ukraine to continue to pummel Russian assets.
I mean, they've tried twice to take down the Crimean Bridge.
And they haven't succeeded.
But last year, a British general, former European commander of NATO,
was it General Breedlove?
Yes.
We could take out the Crimean
Bridge. He said,
I'm an engineer. I'm an architect. I know
how to do this.
I know how we can take out the Crimean
Bridge.
What am I saying?
Every single day
that the U.S. and Great Britain, France and Germany continue to supply missiles and ammo and bombs.
I mean, we just shipped this week, we just shipped more depleted uranium warheads to Ukraine.
Every day that the West continues to do these things increases the likelihood that Western nations are going to be hit hard by Russian nuclear weapons.
So we just keep inching our way towards this Armageddon?
Yes.
Now, if history repeats itself, back in the 1850s during the Crimean War,
UK and French forces actually held a siege of Sevastopol in the Crimean Peninsula,
and the Russians eventually relented and they sued for peace.
In many ways, it parallels what's happening today, except that we're using Ukraine as the hand puppet to deliver those strikes right now.
Now we'll have to see, will Russia relent?
Will Russia sue for peace, repeating history?
Or did they learn from history and say, we will not allow this to happen again?
I'm going to go with the latter. Right. Because Vladimir Putin has a religious,
spiritual connection to Crimea. True. As an Orthodox Christian, he considers Crimea
the holy land of Russia because the gospel of Jesus Christ came to Russia from Crimea.
And he is not going to go down in history as the man who lost Crimea.
Right.
And he's not going to go down in history as the man who lost Russia.
He knows he's fighting for his survival.
And that's what people need to realize.
For them, it's a matter of survival. So, Doc, with each passing week, the West is giving Ukraine permission to go deeper, hit harder.
Here's the missiles. Do it. Here's the target.
We'll provide you with the coordinates.
We'll give you everything you need to hit the targets.
When will Washington tell Ukraine, hit the Kremlin?
Take out the Kremlin.
Let the whole world see the Kremlin in flames.
There's a psychological victory.
Right.
I mean, whether they kill Putin in the Kremlin or not, you think about the Pentagon on 9-11, the World Trade Centers.
Those are images that were burned into the minds of billions of people around the world.
So if they hit the Kremlin, the Kremlin burns down.
The world will remember it for decades.
What does it do psychologically to Russia?
My view is it's going to motivate the Russian leaders to say,
this is it.
This is it.
Push the button.
Yes.
Think about what happened after 9-11 here, the changes that took place.
I mean, we were at war and we've been at war since 9-11. Well, one other thing happened today.
This is out of the Telegraph in London. Ukrainian special forces swarm or storm oil rigs in the
Black Sea. Right. So Ukrainian special forces have seized offshore drilling rigs held
by Russia since 2015 in what they call a unique operation that could boost attempts to regain
control of the Black Sea. Footage released by Ukraine's military intelligence showed troops
flying the country's flag from the structures known as the Boyka Towers. Now, the oil and gas
platforms in the northwest of the Black Sea had been under
Russian control since the illegal annexation of the Crimean Peninsula. That's the telegraph's
version of that. Moscow had used them to assert military control over the body of water off
Ukraine's southern coast since the beginning of the full-scale operation. And that's coming from
Ukrainian intelligence there. Now, the recapture is the latest attack in or around Crimea by Ukrainian special forces or fleets of drone boats.
British military officials last month said the towers could serve as a forward deployment base, helicopter landing site, and provides a position for long-range missile systems.
And we have a little bit of video here showing you, you know,
what transpired as far as Ukraine.
This video was put out today, Doc, by the Ukrainian military.
They released it.
The telegraph says video footage of parts of the operation
showed operatives from Ukraine's military intelligence
bobbing through the waters as they approached the giant oil platforms in small inflatable crafts.
Its forces can be seen firing at a Russian Su-30 fighter jet flying overhead at one point in the 13 minute video clip.
The aircraft was damaged and had to retreat, according to the Russian, excuse me, according to the Ukrainian military.
And the article from the Telegraph says,
for Ukraine, regaining control of the towers
was of strategic importance,
and as a result, Russia has lost the ability
to use them for military purposes.
That's a statement in this video
from the Ukrainian military. This is Russia. Again, this is from Ukraine. Quote, Russia has
been deprived of the ability to fully control the waters of the Black Sea. And this makes Ukraine
many steps closer to regaining Crimea. Rick, the Telegraph goes on to report that neutralizing Russia's use of the
Black Sea is seen as essential to ensure Ukrainian grain exports and preventing barrages of cruise
missiles fired from Moscow's Black Sea fleet. Ukrainian intelligence said it had captured
unguided missiles fired from helicopters and a NEVA radar system used by Russia to monitor sea traffic as well.
Ukrainian forces also claim to have landed on mainland Crimea in recent weeks,
attacking Russia air defense systems that protect Ukrainian aerial drone raids
and attacks on mainland Crimea are believed to be aimed at degrading key supply routes
to the front lines in southern Ukraine for the Russians.
We got one more story regarding Russia.
This is from RT.
Russia expels two U.S. diplomats today.
The Russian foreign ministry has announced the expulsion of two American diplomats who
were previously accused of recruiting a Russian national as a confidential informant.
U.S. Ambassador Lynn Tracy was summoned on Thursday.
This is today. Right. To be issued with a demarcate note, a form of diplomatic protest regarding David Bernstein and Jeffrey Sillin.
The Russian diplomatic department, has announced.
Moscow declared the activities of the embassy employees incompatible with their status.
They have seven days to leave Russia.
Before we change subjects, look, I want to say this. Doc and I are, to my knowledge, the only two podcasters who have consistently reported day after day after day on World War III.
I know there are other podcasters, alternative news programs, who touch on these subjects from time to time.
But nobody has given the public the depth of reporting that we have given.
We have been on this story not since the war began, but long before it started,
telling our audience there's a war coming.
There's a war coming.
Get ready.
It's coming we were talking about i can go back
20 years and and and tell you what putin was warning nato this has been building for a long
long time we're in world war three it started in february of 2022 we're not waiting for the start of world war three we're in it yes this is what i'm saying to you
any day any day life is going to change in this country any day it's going to change in great
britain in germany in france in belgium it's going to change in the United States.
Every nation that has been supporting the NATO operation against Russia, life is going to change radically in one day.
And I don't mean total Armageddon.
No.
But there's going to be an event that's going to be a serious wake-up call to the public because you know i from time to time i get emails hey rick i like true news but why do you just why
do you harp about this ukrainian war day and night there's other stuff world war three there's other
stuff to talk about yeah because it's world war three can you imagine doing a radio show in 1941 and you're not talking about Pearl Harbor?
My friends, there's a Pearl Harbor coming.
There's a Pearl Harbor event coming to America.
It could happen any day.
And when it does, let's set aside the spiritual aspects of it. You better be
prepared spiritually. You should be prepared spiritually right now. And the number one way
to be prepared spiritually is to be born again. Yes. And to be born again, it means that you have
confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and and savior you have repented
of your sins you have believed upon the name of jesus to save you and you have been baptized in
water in the name of god father son and holy spirit that's what it means. And it means that you've gotten your family spiritually ready.
You're taking this extremely serious because all of us could disappear without warning.
We could be vaporized without warning.
We could go to bed at night and never wake up.
Or even worse, we could survive an attack.
And have to live in a world radically different.
Yes.
When the wake-up call comes, when the Pearl Harbor moment comes,
you will see pandemonium to buy supplies, to buy food, to buy everything needed for daily life.
You will see absolute chaos.
You will see store shelves empty.
You will see ammo disappear from gun stores.
There will not be anything left.
But the public doesn't.
They're not paying attention.
They're not paying attention.
But when Pearl Harbor comes, suddenly they will pay attention and you will see pandemonium.
Fear will hit the people to get supplies
to get through the disaster.
You have precious little time right now
to do something about it.
We introduced yesterday
the name of a company
that has food preparation supplies,
emergency food supplies.
It is AmericanReserves.com.
They have a substantial inventory of food ready to ship.
Doc, when Pearl Harbor comes, American Reserves will be sold out in several days.
Several days.
Maybe one day. Maybe one days. Maybe one day.
Maybe one day.
Maybe one day.
In one 24-hour period, they'll be sold out.
And I know how much inventory they have.
It's a substantial inventory.
But it will disappear in one day when America has its second Pearl Harbor.
Don't wait. Don't America has its second Pearl Harbor. Don't wait.
Don't wait for the second Pearl Harbor.
Russia is going to retaliate.
If they don't, they know their country is over.
That's right.
They can't afford to lose this battle with NATO.
And if we're to rewind history japan attacked pearl
harbor because it was a matter of their survival yes and we we put sanctions on japan yes on oil
yes we drove japan to attack us because the ruling class of america wanted pearl harbor They wanted Pearl Harbor. They needed a Pearl Harbor to get into the war.
So use wisdom.
Stock up on your supplies right now.
AmericanReserves.com for emergency food preparedness supplies.
Genesis Gold.
TrueNewsGold.com.
That's the website to get the Genesis Gold gold true news truenewsgold.com for precious metals you need to stock up on ammo
things are going to change and it's going to happen quickly in this country uh doc one other
thought we're not going to i'm not going to have time to get to the other news. I
might be able to in the second half, but we got Mr. Engel coming up here in just a moment to talk
about the attack on the Constitution. But I'm going to make a prediction, and I'm making this
prediction. This is not prophecy. I'm not trying to be a prophet. I'm just...
I have watched these guys for 25
years, and I've figured...
I know their patterns of behavior. I'm talking
about the globalists, the ruling
class of the West.
When they wear down Russia,
there'll be eventually
some settlement. There will be
a settlement in this war.
When everybody has bled enough, there'll be a settlement.
When that happens, the West is going to restart the war
in Syria. They're going to go right back
to Syria. Russia's second biggest naval
base is Tartus in Syria.
That's their base for the Mediterranean. Syria is a
strong ally of Russia. They will restart the war. They will refire up ISIS. ISIS is
a Western-made operation. There's no such thing as ISIS. They will fire up ISIS again, rearm the fighters,
send them back into Syria, and dare Russia to enter the Syrian war to defend Syria.
And then after Syria, Iran is on the list.
Yes. They'll just continue this because they're warmongers. They're bloodthirsty. Hey, we need to take a break.
And coming up in the next segment is Mr. Paul Engel, who's going to talk to us about the
Constitution of the United States and what we need to do to defend it. You're watching True News.

truenewsgold.com, truenewsgold.com. Many years ago, I often joked on this talk show that someday a radical federal judge would rule that the U.S. Constitution is unconstitutional.
Today, that's not funny.
And it's not out of the realm of possibility that such an outrageous ruling
could be handed down by a radical federal judge who secretly desires to bring down
our constitutional republic. Our constitution has been assaulted ever since the day it was ratified.
Never before, however, have we ever witnessed a more determined effort to nullify the Constitution, even replace it someday with a socialistic, politically correct document.
The most recent assault against the Constitution is playing out in the state of New Mexico. Governor Gunn-Grabber Grisham arbitrarily decreed that she has the authority to suspend the
Second Amendment rights of New Mexico's citizens. My guest today is devoted to teaching citizens
about our constitutional republic. Mr. Paul Engel has spent two decades studying and teaching about the Holy Bible and the U.S. Constitution.
He's also an author, a public speaker, and a talk show host.
His website is constitutionstudy.com, constitutionstudy.com.
Paul Engel, welcome to True News.
Thank you for having me.
It's a pleasure being here, even under such trying conditions.
It is. It is. There's never been anything like this since the founding of the republic.
You know, the joke I said in the intro, you know, many, many years ago when we were dealing with outrageously leftist court decisions on various subjects.
You know, a judge would rule something was unconstitutional. You know, and I'd say, you know, someday there's going to be a federal judge who's going to rule that the Constitution is unconstitutional.
And, of course, I meant that as a joke, but, Paul, I'm not so sure in the climate that we're in right now if that wouldn't happen.
I mean, there's an attack on the Constitution that it's a racist document.
In many ways, it already has happened.
How often have you heard about a court, especially a Supreme Court opinion, where they talk about
strict scrutiny or intermediate scrutiny?
What this is, is the Supreme Court saying this is unconstitutional, but we think it's
important enough that we're going to let it happen anyway.
So this is nothing new.
It just was a little subtler than what Ms. Grisham did this past weekend.
Look at what Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana has done in recent times during Senate confirmation hearings of judicial candidates nominated by President Biden to a federal courtship.
And he's asked them specific questions about the Constitution.
And these judges or lawyers are stumped.
They don't know what to say.
I've never heard of that.
I'd have to study it.
I don't know what it means.
And it's like we're talking about the Constitution.
How can they go through law school, Paul, and never read the Constitution?
Because they don't teach the Constitution in law school. For many years, since I started the Constitution study, I've asked attorneys, when you were in law school, did you study the Constitution or constitutional law? I've had the opinion of judges about the Constitution.
It is not law, and it most certainly is not constitutional. So I'm not surprised when I see
judges and attorneys at all levels have no clue what the Constitution actually says.
They've never studied it as part of their practice. And in fact, we don't teach it in high school anymore. We don't teach it in law
school anymore. Is any wonder that the American people are almost universally ignorant of what
the Constitution actually says? Paul, let's talk about what's going on in New Mexico. My name for her is Gun Grabber Grissom.
And, you know, she made this arbitrary decree last week that she and she alone can decide if the Second Amendment remains in effect in the state of New Mexico.
Now, fortunately, she restricted her unconstitutional action to Albuquerque and his surrounding county.
But if she can do it in one city and one county, she could do it statewide in her mind.
And if she can remove the Second Amendment, she can remove the First Amendment.
She can nullify the entire Constitution in her mind.
First, let's start with the flaws of her thinking. How would you analyze
the mental intellectual flaws of the New Mexico governor's thinking on this process?
Well, first of all, she isn't just nullifying the Second Amendment. She's attempting to nullify the entire Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of New Mexico. But
you get an idea of what I think she's thinking by her own words. During a press conference,
she said the constitutional rights and my oath are not absolute. In other words, when she raised her hand and said,
I will support the Constitution, she had her fingers crossed. I don't have to. I can simply
declare, I've declared an emergency, therefore the Constitution goes out the window. This should be
no surprise to anybody that's been watching what this woman has been doing. If we do not hold the Constitution as the
paramount law of the nation, which it is, as the supreme law of the land, which it is, then it's
not surprising that someone who studied legal precedent and ways of worming around what the
Constitution actually says, by the way, there is no emergency clause that suspends the Constitution. The closest you
get is habeas corpus, the right to demand to be proper for a judge can be suspended,
but only in times of war. This is what happens when we detach ourselves, when the people become
universally ignorant of the Constitution, is we don't realize what's going on.
When she says, yes, I'll do this, but, we don't realize that everything after that but
is that simply unconstitutional.
It's criminal.
What she's done in New Mexico is a federal crime.
Paul, I'm glad you caught that part of her remarks in her press conference
where she said, my oath is not absolute. I talked about it Monday on True News because, you know,
that stood out to me that she was saying, when I took the oath to uphold the constitutions of New Mexico and the United
States of America, I wasn't telling the truth. I didn't fully intend to uphold the constitutions.
My oath was not absolute. If an oath is not absolute, what is it?
Well, we shouldn't be surprised.
How can you tell when a politician
is lying?
Well, we know why.
But yet, the American people
not only repeatedly
hire liars, cheats,
and crooks, the people they know
are liars, cheats, and crooks, the ones that do it
the best we keep around the longest.
Why? Why do we do that?
I believe part of it is an ignorance.
We've been brainwashed in this idea, this is the way things are.
Politicians lie, and there's nothing we can do about it.
You have to choose the lesser of two evils.
We've been brainwashed in this idea that the American people are powerless against politicians
when it's exactly the other way around.
They work for us.
We are their employee.
We are their employers.
They are the employees.
And part of what we do here is help people, A, recognize you're not powerless before a
politician.
They work for you. And B, the knowledge necessary
to stand in front of a political tyrant and just say no is easy to acquire. And
it's not easy to implement, right? It's scary to stand in front of a politician,
a law enforcement officer, and say, no, you don't have the legal authority to do that. You're committing a crime. But I believe it was Sam Adams that said that we will not tamely
surrender our liberties as long as knowledge is dispersed. We've become ignorant. We don't have
the knowledge anymore. We don't read and study the Constitution like John Jay said we should.
So we don't know what it says.
We don't know what our rights are.
We don't know how to defend and assert them.
We keep looking for someone else to do this for us.
Maybe if we just hire the right president or the right governor,
they will do it for us, realizing, no,
the first three words of the Constitution are,
we the people, we are the ones that have to do this.
You know, the same thing could be said about the new covenant. Most Christians don't read the new
covenant. They don't know what the promises are. They don't know the conditions of the covenant,
and they rely on other people to tell them what the covenant says. We're obligated as citizens of the kingdom of God and as citizens of this republic.
We're obligated to know the contracts, the covenants, the basis of our our citizenship.
I want to go back to, the whole truth, nothing but the truth.
So help me, God.
All right.
And I give my testimony.
And then later I tell you, well, I lied sometimes.
When it was convenient, I did lie. What does that make me, Paul?
A perjurer. And what do courts do to perjurers?
Well, they're supposed to try them and if they get found
guilty, punish them. Because it's a crime. It's a crime to
take an oath and violate the oath. It's a crime. In our society,
it's a crime. So Governor Grisham
admitted that she is a liar. She admitted it. So yes, she violated her oath.
She's deprived the citizens of Albuquerque, New Mexico of rights protected by the Constitution of the United States without due process of law.
That means she's denied them rights protected by the Constitution of the United States.
That is a federal crime. Title 18 of the United States Code, Section 242.
We often hear about people suing in a civil suit when their rights are violated. We never hear
people charged with crimes. And that's important, because if we were to sue
the governor, there's
already a lawsuit against the governor. Guess
who pays the lawsuit? The people of
New Mexico. It's the taxpayers
that pay it. If she's charged with
a crime and gets fined and spends a year
in jail, it's her personally
that does this.
Okay, but who's going to
conspire with her?
Who's going to who's conspire with her that who's going to arrest her well let's see if we actually had a department of justice instead of a department
of injustice they'd be they'd be doing the investigating charge but they don't but they
don't because we the people when was the last time you even heard somebody asking for a criminal
investigation a criminal charge be placed for violating our rights.
You almost never hear it.
I see all these cases.
I write to the lawyers, the attorneys, and I say, is part of your plan a criminal complaint?
It's not an either or.
You can do both.
We never, the people who actually commit these crimes are never punished.
So there's no reason for them to actually worry about it because we keep hiring criminals that let the other criminals go.
Paul, I want you to repeat again for our audience.
You said something profound.
Tell us again the basis for a criminal complaint when constitutional rights are violated.
So Title 18 of the United States Code, Section 242,
says it is a crime to deprive someone of a right protected by the constitutional laws of the United States
under color of law, which is what she's doing.
It is punishable by a fine and up to a year in jail.
By the way, Section 241, if it is a conspiracy,
if people get together to do this, that is a fine and 10 years in jail each. But you see,
if someone were to file a complaint with the FBI or with the Department of Justice,
do you expect anybody to do anything about it today? No, but we're suffering the consequences of decades
of walking away from the Constitution, walking away from the law, walking away from our
responsibility as citizens. And just as Israel paid severe penalties for decades of walking
away from God and his word, we are suffering the consequences of decades of walking away from the Constitution
and the rule of law. And just as Israel spent decades in that punishment before they were
allowed back to the promised land, it's going to take decades for us to fix this mess, but it's
never going to happen until we the people realize we're the sovereigns in this country. We are the Caesar, not Biden,
not Grisham, not anybody else, but we the people. And when we realize that, that they work for us,
that every election is a performance review. How did you do? When we realize that,
that's when things are going to start changing. But you can't spend 150
years making this mess and expect it to be gone in a single election
cycle. You know, at times, I don't want
to vote because I don't want either candidate to actually think I won him.
I mean, voting is just
encouraging the idiots.
They leave the election saying, hey, people like me.
They voted for me.
All right.
That's the thing I don't want.
I don't want them to think we actually want them.
Paul, what state do you live in?
Tennessee.
You're in Tennessee.
Okay.
I lived in Tennessee for a few years in Chattanooga. So if you were a resident citizen of New Mexico
in Albuquerque, what would you do right now? The first thing I'd do is I'd get an appointment to
meet my sheriff and make sure that he would not enforce such a blatantly unconstitutional order,
which, by the way, I believe the sheriff has said,
no, he's not going to enforce that because it's unconstitutional.
But the governor is going to bring in federal agents because she knows the sheriff's not
going to enforce it.
First of all, the governor cannot bring in federal agents.
She can bring in state agents.
Second of all, the sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer of the county.
He can arrest state actors for
crimes committed in his jurisdiction, which includes depriving someone of a right protected
by the Constitution of the United States. That's right. I understand she can't bring in the agents.
She's made a request to the Biden administration, flood our state with federal agents,
including U.S. Marshals. Now, she does have control of the state police.
But do you think—
Arrest them all.
The sheriff has the legal authority to arrest anyone in his jurisdiction that's committed a crime.
I don't care if President Biden himself comes in and tries to take a firearm away from a lawfully caring person,
that sheriff has a legal authority to arrest Biden. Now, he's going to deal with the Secret
Service, which is a whole other issue. But it is well within the sheriff's purview to arrest these
folks. In fact, I can't remember the sheriff's name. I think it was out in, well, Sheriff Mack
won a court case that said the federal government cannot order a sheriff to do something.
We've also seen situations where sheriffs have threatened arrest of federal actors for criminal acts in their state, and the federal actors back off because they know the sheriff can do it.
Obviously, you and I can't speak for the sheriff of Bernalillo County.
I think I'm pronouncing it right. We can't speak for the sheriff of Bernalillo County. I think I'm pronouncing it right.
We can't speak for him.
He is on record as saying he's not going to enforce the decree.
But realistically, do you think he would arrest state police officers?
I would hope so.
I would hope so.
And I hope so for one important reason.
I would hope so because I would hope that the people of his county have one, met with him, and then two said, if you do this, if you stand up for our rights,
we'll stand up with you. See, that's what I did with my sheriff here in Tennessee,
is you uphold my rights, you protect the rights of me and my family, I will help protect you.
I'm in a unique position, all right? I can write a paper or I can test,
what do you need? If that sheriff shows up alone, he's in trouble. But if that sheriff shows up
with a couple of dozen of citizens, deputized or not, that's saying, no, he's enforcing the
supreme law of the land. You are the criminal. You go to jail. Could it possibly lead to violence? Possibly. More
likely than not, experience shows the feds back down because the feds need the state people to
enforce their illegal orders. So the sheriff could deputize a thousand deputies, a thousand citizens. Just imagine if the sheriff were to put out a tweet that says there's this event and the feds are showing up.
I want every New Mexican that can, that believes in the Constitution, to be here with me.
However many showed up.
One, it's going to give the sheriff spine.
That's a big boost to say, someone's got
my back. It also shows that the people of New Mexico are serious. And do you really think the
federal officers are going to shoot at a sheriff surrounded by citizens? You think the imagery looks bad now.
What happens when a Biden administration, a Biden official, orders firing on law-abiding
citizens?
It's ugly.
This is an ugly situation brought on by our own lack of attention, our own abandonment
of responsibility. We're going to have to deal
with this mess. The anti-constitutional bullies count on citizens not doing what you just said.
Exactly. They count on us being afraid. They count on us feeling alone, which is why it's so important that we that the people of that county get with the sheriff, let him know he's not alone.
Let him know they've got their they've got his back and that they're willing to stand up even if things get hairy to protect their rights.
That's what it's going to take. All right. Let's take the next five minutes. Let's talk about future mask mandates and vaccine mandates, because they're they're hinting that they're coming back.
And some school districts have already done it. Some colleges have implemented mask mandates.
My personal view is that they're testing the waters. I think the New Mexico situation is another test of the waters. I think the Chinese Communist Party, called the Democrat Party in this country, is planning to roll out some real draconian measures in 2024, which would include partial martial law.
I really believe that they're up to something and they're testing the waters right now.
So if there's another wave of mask and vaccine mandates,
what are you going to do? What do you recommend citizens do?
Well, first of all, public masks and vaccine mandates are illegal. They are null and void.
I have a piece of paper. Back in 2020, when a lot of this nonsense started, I was at a book fair, an outdoor book fair, and the county had just passed a mask mandate.
I show up.
I set up my table.
The organizer comes by and says, looks great, Paul, but they just passed a mask mandate, and we should be okay, but we're not sure. He said, I don't care.
That mask mandate is illegal, null, and void. And I, but we're not sure. So I don't care that mask mandate's illegal,
null, and void. And I handed her a piece of paper. It showed all the violations of the Constitution
a mask mandate was. It showed that the Constitution supersedes anything state or county law.
It showed numerous Supreme Court opinions showing that an unconstitutional act is void. It's as if it never
existed. And I said, if the police show up, I will hand them that and inform them. Because now
that you've been informed that what you're doing is a violation of the Constitution,
that means if you proceed, you are willfully depriving me of a right protected by the
Constitution. You are committing a federal crime,
which means I first call to my attorney, my second is to the FBI, my third to the U.S. Attorney's Office, and my fourth is to every media outlet I can find that will listen to me.
You, personally, I need your names, I need your badge numbers, I need evidence of your crime.
Now, I was fully expecting, you know, if the cop showed up 50-50 shot,
I'm walking away in handcuffs. But we have to decide, what are our rights worth? I think as
Patrick Henry said, is life so dear and peace so sweet as we purchase at the price of chains
and slavery? We have to decide. So vaccine, now, private companies, Walmart, Kroger, whatever, if they want to have a mask
mandate, that's fine.
I don't have to do business with them.
You know what I like to do?
I like to walk up.
I like to ask for the manager.
I like to show them a lot of bills and say, this is the money I'm not spending here today
because of this.
I don't care why you say this is, I refuse to.
But any public mask mandate, I refuse to comply with. I used to
comply with them. At this point, I'm like, no, I will not take the jab. I was subpoenaed to testify
by a U.S. attorney in Phoenix, Arizona. And in talking to his paralegal, I said, oh, by the way,
I will not take the jab. I will not take a test.
At that time, I would wear a mask only under duress, and I would not be silent about it.
I didn't ask. I told her, if you want me, this is what it's going to take. Suddenly,
they didn't want me to show up anymore. Because I was not getting on an airplane,
they required me to take a jab. If you want me to wear a mask, I have a mask that says,
mandates are tyranny, worn under duress.
It's on an upside down American flag.
That's what I wear.
If the judge doesn't like it, too bad.
Throw me in jail for contempt.
Be my guest.
I would love to sue the pants off you for that, for abuse of your judicial power, because
you're depriving me of a right protected by the Constitution of that state.
Federal judge, by the Constitution of the United States.
Be my guest.
It's fodder for showing people you don't have to be afraid of these people.
You actually have power if you're willing to exercise it.
That's one of the biggest big things we try to do here at the Constitution Study
is teach people not only what their rights are, but how do you defend them?
How do you assert them and do so in a way you can prove is legal,
is constitutionally sound?
You know, when I started the Bible, I was preaching the other day,
and somebody asked, you know, what church do you go to?
I'm a Berean.
Acts 17, right?
Paul and Silas get run out of Thessalonica.
They go to Berea.
The Bereans are more noble, more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, and that they listened to what was said and went to Scripture daily to see it was so.
That's what I do with the Constitution as well.
You tell me this says that, show me.
You want me to prove that what I'm saying
is true. That's what I do. When I teach, I have a boot camp. I just recorded a boot camp. It's
going to be a video on the website probably next week. And the first thing I do is say, okay,
how do we build an argument that will sustain someone challenging it? And how do we do so in a way
that you can prove what you're saying is right and just? And that's part of what we do when we teach
is we want people prepared to stand up. All right, Paul, take the last minute and tell our audience
about the Constitution study, how they can be part of it, what they'll get out of it.
So the Constitution study, it's about returning the Constitution to we the people.
The first five words are we the people, and the preamble ends with to ordain and establish
this Constitution.
We need to take it back.
We need to know what it says.
John Jay said every member of the state diligently to read and study the Constitution, teach
the rising generation to be free.
Because if we know our rights, we'll be better prepared to defend and assert them.
Now, I have a weekly program.
I have a weekly article.
I'm daily on America Out Loud talk radio. Constitution actually says using it and the words of our founding fathers and the framers at the
time to show that this is our country. We don't work for the government. The government works for
us. And how do we individually protect our own rights? I don't try to change the country. I want
us to understand how do I best protect my rights and my family's rights and my neighbor's rights. See, the same way that Jeremiah, not Jeremiah,
Nehemiah built the wall where everybody just built what was right in front of them,
we do the same thing. I build where I am, you build where you are. And as we do that,
as that wall grows, the country changes. But it starts with what can I do to live as a free American?
All right.
My guest today, Mr. Paul Engel.
He is the founder of the Constitution Study.
And you can visit his website at constitutionstudy.com.

It's free.
Just go over to faithandvalues.com.
Check out the platform that we built.
This is our platform.
Yes.
I got tired of being deplatformed.
So we replatformed.
Yeah.
We got another warning this week from one of the social media giants.
We did?
Yeah.
Who?
From YouTube.
YouTube?
Yes.
And so our program with Dr. Jake Baker, they didn't like that one.
Are you serious?
Yeah.
Because he's building a blood bank for purebloods? Dr. Jake Baker, they didn't like that one. Are you serious? Yeah.
Because he's building a blood bank for purebloods?
They said medical disinformation.
Well, there's no disinformation in it.
He's just building a blood bank. Well, to them, it's disinformation.
To YouTube, it's disinformation.
Who cares about YouTube?
That's right.
That's what I mean.
Who cares? Nobody cares. We've got to have an alternate economy here. information who who cares about youtube that's right that's what i mean who cares who cares
nobody cares we've got to have an alternate economy here and folks listen we're busy building
we knew this day of censorship was coming we knew it a long time ago i was talking in 2015 on this
program about building well actually doc i probably started talking about a platform around 2007
before there were platforms right before you even knew what that what what the term even meant at
that point i just knew the lord prepared in my heart that there would be a day of censorship
and that we had to have our own place it's sort sort of like Noah. You know, the Lord told Noah to build an ark.
He probably said, what's an ark?
What's an ark?
What's it look like?
What's it do?
I've never seen a boat.
What's it do?
Yeah.
So we finally built our platform, Faith and Values.
And I encourage you to check it out.
Right now, we have a 30-day free trial.
So there's no obligation.
Just sign up for a free membership for 30 days and check it out.
There it is, 30-day free trial.
Afterwards, it's $8.99 per month.
You're not locked into a contract.
You can cancel any time, but why would you?
And we're guaranteeing that price for 36 months. But this offer expires
in two weeks, September 30th. It expires in two weeks. So get in there right now and
take advantage of this 30-day free trial and just look around. We're just getting started.
It's only a month old. We've got to build more content. We need more content producers. And, you know, we just need more support. And I want to encourage you because this month has been really a tough month for us financially. We're doing a lot. We're expanding. We're moving. There's just a lot of pressure on us.
I encourage you to give to True News.
We've always been supported by the gifts of our audience.
We've got some sponsors now, but hey.
But that basically covers airtime and some production costs.
Yeah.
I mean, probably what, 1%?
Yes.
1%. I mean, we need support. And this month,
we need more support than we've ever needed for probably several years. This is probably the
toughest month I've been in, in a number of years. And I encourage you to go to truenews.com,
click donate or the heart, give a gift. And if you want to send precious metals,
you can do that. The instructions are there. You can send a money order. You can call 800-576-2116,
800-576-2116. Use your bank card or send a check or money order. Address it to Post Office Box 690069, Vero Beach, Florida 32969.
And I'm just, I'm being honest with you folks. This is one time we really need extra support.
I'm not going to make a big deal about it. God will come through for us.
But I need to tell you, it's not a normal month for us.
We need a really big boost this month.
We're going to be talking in a few minutes about baptism.
Right.
We had a fantastic Bible study this morning on Morning Manna.
Again, Morning Manna is live 8 a.m.
every Monday through Friday
on faithinvalues.com.
You can join the Bible study
and chat with us in real time,
make comments, ask questions.
We had a record number of people today.
Yes.
What was it?
Three?
I think it was in the 380s.
Three, 387, I think was the number in real time of course
there's a lot of people that watch it in video on demand i'm just talking about we have people
from countries like bahrain uh singapore japan germany we have a huge group of people from
australia that check in every day uh and so and so that's night time for them. So in a way, it's almost midnight manna for them
was morning manna for us. But imagine you're a pastor of a church and you have the opportunity
to share the gospel with a dozen or more nations every day. That's exactly what we get to do.
And you can participate too by joining us on morning manna on the faith and values platform.
But the only way you can join us for Morning Man is you have to be a member.
That's right.
So we started about a month ago, and I just chose the book of Acts, the Acts of the Apostles.
And, you know, the first day, I don't know, we probably had 60, 80 people.
Right.
Each day it's gone up.
So we're now up to 387.
My faith confession, I'm asking the Lord for 1,000 people
by December of this year, that every day we will have at least 1,000 people live in real time on
faithinvalues.com and Morning Manna. That's my faith confession. And by next December, 10,000.
All right. I'm ready. Let's do it. That's my faith
confession. It's my request to the Lord. I'm believing it. I'm saying it. I'm receiving it
by faith that we will have 1,000 by this December, 10,000 people by next December.
And we're teaching the word of God. I've got about nine minutes here before we go to morning manna.
And I got a few more stories I want to share with you for our guys in the control room. Number 15, this is NBC News.
Elon Musk warns of civilizational risk posed by artificial intelligence in meeting with tech CEOs and U.S. senators. So, Doc, there was a closed-door
meeting of U.S. senators with Elon Musk and other technology executives, including Bill Gates. The
topic was artificial intelligence. Why would they have to have closed-door secret meeting
to talk about AI? I mean, shouldn't that be something everyone
would need to know something about? Well, it says here, this is NBC News, tech billionaire Elon Musk
warned senators in a private gathering on Capitol Hill on Wednesday that artificial intelligence
poses a civilizational risk to governments and societies, according to a senator who was in the room.
Right. So Musk made his remarks at a first of its kind closed door summit on AI featuring a who's who of big tech titans,
who also included Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, as Rick mentioned, Sundar Pichai and Sam Altman.
That's the chat GPT guy. All 100 senators were invited, though not all attended.
Now, we have a couple of clips from his response after the meeting outside in the parking lot.
So this is the first one where he, you know, encounters some of the reporters and their questions.
Let's watch this. What do you mean, the metaphor? Yeah. Well, if you have a sword with two sides,
one side can get you,
even though you're trying to get someone with the other side.
When you're telling the senators that, though,
what do you want them to take away from that? I think it's more important to make sure your hilt is also,
you have a hilt, not a sharp thing.
How do you think they took the message that you brought to them?
Well, I think it was very um civilized
discussion actually among um some of the smartest people in the world now he went on to explain too
as he kind of mentioned hinting at the first that artificial intelligence it must be regulated at
some point um and so let's watch this other clip and then rick and i have some comments about it
the general i think it's clear that there's a strong consensus,
overwhelming consensus
that there should be some AI regulation
that would be in the best interest of the people to do so.
And I think we'll probably see something happen.
I don't know on what timeframe
or exactly how it will manifest itself.
Yeah, that's the question.
What were they going to do?
Yeah, I don't know what exactly.
Perhaps the Department of AI.
Let's say, I think the probability of there being some sort of AI regulatory agency
that stands on its own, similar to the FAA or FCC, is likely at some point.
You think so?
I think so.
Now, the reason that I've been such an advocate for AI safety in advance of sort of anything terrible happening
is that I think the consequences of
AI going wrong are severe. So we have to be proactive rather than reactive.
Doc, how are you going to regulate artificial intelligence in China?
Right.
I mean, I can understand they can put regulations here in the United States,
but that doesn't affect China.
Yes. I mean, I can understand they can put regulations here in the United States, but that doesn't affect China.
Yes.
They're going to continue to develop artificial intelligence to be used against us.
Absolutely right. And one of the most aggressive advanced countries in AI development is Israel.
Mr. Musk, his regulation isn't going to affect Israel.
Israel is going to continue to develop AI.
You could have this tiny little Zionist state become the world leader in artificial intelligence.
And literally Zionism could conquer the world through AI.
And when they're talking about regulating AI, they're talking about regulating consumer use of AI.
That's right.
Not military use of AI or government use of AI.
Or corporate use.
Right.
They're talking about like you and I using artificial intelligence to totally disrupt society.
Because these guys have no intentions whatsoever of slowing down on AI for their benefit.
Of course not.
But the race is on between the United States, China, Russia, and Israel.
Those are the big players for control of the world.
Make no mistake about it.
It's about control of the world.
Yes.
Whoever dominates artificial intelligence will control the world. Got a report on the Federal Reserve plan for a digital dollar.
This is Fox Business. GOP Republicans take on Federal Reserve in battle over digital dollar.
And the House majority whip Tom Emmer, Republican of Minnesota,
on Tuesday afternoon will reintroduce the Central Bank Digital Currency Anti-Surveillance State Act,
a Republican-backed bill that aims to prevent the Federal Reserve and its member banks from issuing
a digital version of the dollar and using it to implement monetary policy.
Right. So CBDC, central bank digital currencies, have become increasingly popular over the last three years.
And according to research from Think Tank Atlantic Council's Geoeconomic Center,
as many as 130 countries representing 98 percent of the global economy are exploring digital versions of their currencies.
11 countries, including China, have fully implemented their version of a CBDC.
However, CBDCs are controversial among crypto enthusiasts and conservatives. Again, this is Fox Business.
Even though they both fall under the category of digital assets,
Fox Business News says traditional cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin were created as a mechanism to avoid centralized government control.
CBDCs, meanwhile, established a monetary link between private citizens and the government.
And Republicans like Representative Emmer says a CBDC would enhance the surveillance state, which is why Communist China is among the first countries to establish one.
Well, Doc, we have a video clip, compliments of C-SPAN, of Congressman Tom Emmer talking about the introduction of his bill to ban the Federal Reserve from introducing a central bank digital coin.
Here is Congressman Emmer.
Good morning.
Hope you all had a successful and restful August.
It's good to be back in the people's house where House Republicans are ready to continue
delivering on our promises to the American people.
One important aspect of our common sense agenda is actually protecting Americans' financial privacy,
particularly when it pertains to this lawless administrative state.
That's why I reintroduced a bill yesterday called the Central Bank Digital Currency Anti-Surveillance State Act,
which puts a check on unelected bureaucrats and ensures that the United States digital currency policy upholds our values
of privacy, individual sovereignty and free market competitiveness. Recent actions from the Biden
administration have made it clear that they are not only itching to create a digital dollar,
but they're willing to trade Americans right to financial privacy for a surveillance-style CBDC. This bill ensures the future of crypto is in the hands of
the American people, not the administrative state, by prohibiting the Federal Reserve from creating
a tool with unfettered insight into Americans' financial data. If not open, permissionless,
and private, like cash, a CBDC is nothing more than a CCP-style surveillance tool that can be weaponized to oppress the American way of life.
We're not going to let that happen, not on House Republicans' watch.
And I want to thank the Financial Services Committee for considering our bill this month.
And we're going to continue working to ensure that the digital economy is designed by Americans and emulates American values.
Well, Doc, how how close are we to a Federal Reserve CBDC?
The vice chair of the Federal Reserve, vice chairman for supervision, Michael Barr, said it's a long way, a long way from any decision on issuing digital currency.
This is a report from Reuters, and he said that there is no way that they're going to do it without clear support from the president and authorizing legislation from Congress.
We'll see if he does that. Quickly, CNN reporting oil could hit $107 a barrel
by the end of this year
due to Saudi Arabia and Russia's
supply cuts. Doc,
that puts the price of gasoline
up in the $4
plus range
by Christmas. Yeah, in certain parts of the country
nearly $7 a gallon.
That's right.
Take your steps now.
Get ready.
Prepare.
Get emergency food.
Bolster your supplies.
Do whatever you have to do
to be ready for the next wave
of lockdowns.
Whatever the globalists,
the ruling class have planned
for the rest of us.
Be ready.
We're going to take a break.
And then when we come back, we have our morning manna from today where we're in the Acts of the Apostles, chapter 9.
We're talking about the salvation of Saul, who then became Paul.
We'll be back in a minute.
Well, let's pray, and then we will begin our study of the Word of God. Gracious
Heavenly Father, we love you, Papa. We love you, and we praise you. Father, thank you for saving us,
and thank you for bringing us back into your family. We were lost, separated from you because of sin,
but you sent your son to find us, and we have been reconciled to you through Christ,
and we give you thanksgiving and praise. Father, you are a wonderful Father who takes care of your children,
and we thank you for it. We bless your wonderful name. We invite the Holy Spirit into this Bible
study to direct it, to illuminate our hearts and minds to see Jesus more clearly, and to understand your word and to understand your kingdom. I ask, Father, for your
blessing and anointing upon the teaching and the hearing of your word. In Jesus' name, amen.
Amen. All right, Doc. Chapter 9, Book of Acts, chapter 9, verses 17 through 21.
Through 21.
Okay.
All right.
So starting in verse 17, I'm reading from the King James.
And Ananias went his way and entered into the house, and putting his hands on him, that being Saul, said,
Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hast sent me,
that thou mightest receive thy sight and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell
from his eyes as it had been scales, and he received sight forthwith, and arose and was
baptized. And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then saul certain days with the disciples which were at damascus
and straightway he preached christ in the synagogues that he is the son of god
but all that heard him were amazed and said is not this he that destroyed them which called on
this name in jerusalem and came hither for that intent that he might bring them bound
unto the chief priest.
So God bless the reading of his word today.
Praise God.
Okay, so we'll start with verse 17.
Ananias departed and entered into the house.
Laying his hands on him, he said,
Brother Saul, the Lord who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Now, Dr. Luke omitted all the small details about the trip from Ananias' house to Judah's house on Straight Street and his entry into the house.
Those are all small details.
Verse 17 picks up with Ananias inside Judah's house
and placing his hands on Saul of Tarsus.
We know that Ananias was a devout man who loved God
and that he was a chosen vessel to transfer the Holy Spirit to Saul through his hands.
Most amazingly, he greeted Saul, the persecutor of the brethren, as brother Saul.
Yes. Ananias did not call Saul a murderer, a scoundrel, an enemy of God.
Saul's hatred of Christians exceeded, well, let's say Saul's hatred of Christ exceeded Caiaphas, Annas, and all the other high priests who had come and gone since the ministry of Jesus Christ.
Yet Ananias, whose name means to be gracious. Called him his brother.
Ananias bonded with Saul by telling him that both had received visions from Jesus.
His message to Saul was, I was sent to you by the same Lord who appeared to you, convicted you of your sins.
He told Saul that Jesus sent him to lay hands on him, that Saul would regain his eyesight and be
filled with the Holy Spirit. The physical healing and the ultimate transfer of the Holy Spirit to Saul
required Ananias to lay hands on Saul.
The power of Jesus flowed through Ananias' hands
into Saul's spirit, mind, and body.
The main objective was not to open the physical eyes of Saul's head,
but to open the spiritual eyes of his soul.
The opening of Saul's physical eyes was the byproduct
of this experience with Jesus Christ.
Verse 18.
Immediately something like scales fell from his eyes and he received his sight.
He arose and was baptized.
Here we have Dr. Luke.
Noting the physical condition of Saul.
Yes. Dr. Luke noted that Saul's blindness
was caused by some type of incrustation
that covered the pupils of his eyes
or closed his eyelids so that no light could enter.
Luke described it as fish scales.
Yes. Isn't that interesting?
Yeah, a scaly substance had spread over the interior of Saul's eyes.
And instantly, upon Ananias placing his hands on Saul,
the scaly substance fell from Saul's eyes and he could see again.
Now, we have to look in other scriptures to obtain a fuller picture of what happened to
Saul that night, because Saul mentions it at various times in other scriptures, and he
elaborates, he expands.
And so you have to take all of those scriptures
and put together to get the picture of what happened.
In Acts 22, verses 12 through 16,
we read this expanded account of the events.
This is Apostle Paul speaking.
One Ananias, a devout man according to the law,
well reported of by all the Jews who lived in Damascus, came to me and standing by me said,
Brother Saul, receive your sight. In that very hour, I looked up at him. He said, the God of our fathers has appointed you to know his will and to see the righteous one and to hear a voice from his mouth.
For you will be a witness for him to all men of what you have seen and heard. Now, why do you wait? Arise and be baptized and wash away your
sins, calling on the name of the Lord. The first thing I see is that he received his sight within
the hour. Right. It doesn't mean it was instant. Correct. In that hour, I looked up at him.
The second thing, which is really the important thing, Ananias said to Saul,
arise, be baptized, and wash away your sins.
That is the evidence that Saul was baptized in water that night. Ananias did not say
to Saul, Saul, say this little prayer and ask Jesus into your heart. Repeat after me.
He didn't say that. He didn't say everybody bow your heads and close your eyes around.
And if you'd like to receive Jesus into your heart, just raise your hand.
Hide behind the pew and raise your hand.
He said, arise.
Yes, stand up.
And wash away your sins.
So it is clear that water baptism was an indispensable condition for Saul's admission into the church of God.
A supernatural encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus was not sufficient.
A divine vision, while locked up in a closet, was not a substitute for baptism.
Right.
Saul had to go down in the waters of baptism to come up born again and a member of the church of God.
Right. Now, I'm going to spend more time on this topic.
Before I get there, there's one thing I just want to add,
that Luke did not reveal the date of Saul's conversion, nor his age. Bible scholars estimate that this event occurred near
the end of the third year after the ascension of Jesus Christ back to heaven, or maybe the beginning
of the fourth year. Right. And they also estimate that Saul was approximately 34 years old when this event happened.
Now, I'm going to ask some questions and let's have a discussion.
First question, was Saul saved on the road to Damascus or was he saved inside the city of Damascus?
Doc, I have not talked to you about this at all, so we've not planned this.
Your program asked Doc.
Okay, so we're putting two shows together today, Morning Manna and Ask Doc. Okay, so we're putting two shows together today,
Morning Man and Ask Doc.
So, Doc, was Saul saved on the road to Damascus
or in the city of Damascus?
I believe it was in the city of Damascus.
I do too.
And that confirmation of salvation wasn't complete until baptism.
So I agree.
I agree.
And this is contrary to everything I've been taught from the time I got saved in 1978.
Yeah, it's a tough adjustment for a lot of people, especially if we've grown up in evangelical churches.
Because really, there's not a priority on baptism in a lot of churches.
There used to be, but not so much anymore.
But the Bible makes it pretty clear that for whatever reason,
for God's grace and his will, he makes baptism part of the process
in confirmation of what's gone on internally in the heart of a believer.
So it's not a work of man, but a work of God that takes place.
Doc, I don't understand the controversy about baptism.
I don't either.
You've got denominations that have formed over baptism, church splits, major schisms and denominations over baptism.
A lot of Baptists will argue with you over the necessity of baptism.
Yes.
I don't get that either. But the more I study the word and pray for the Holy Spirit's illumination,
the more I realize that I was taught wrong things most of my life.
And here I am.
I got saved in 1978.
This is 2023.
And I'm still picking garbage out of my brain.
Yes.
I mean, it's a process, isn't it?
I mean, it is for me too.
So let's look at some of these points.
Saul was not saved.
This is my view.
He wasn't saved on the road to Damascus. He wasn't saved when he called the
divine voice in that glorious light that blinded him. He called that voice, Lord.
But then he said, who are you? So he wasn't saved because he wasn't sure who this light was.
He wasn't saved because he prayed and fasted for three days in Judah's house.
Right.
He wasn't saved because he had a vision that Ananias would come to him.
Yes.
He wasn't saved when Jesus told him he was chosen,
a chosen vessel. Are you ready for this? He wasn't saved when he was healed.
Amen. He wasn't saved when Ananias called him brother. He wasn't saved when his eyes were opened.
He was saved when he was baptized, and his sins were washed away.
Ananias said,
Saul,
what are you waiting for?
Go back and look at what he said.
He said,
let me find it here.
Verse 16, chapter 22.
Yes.
Why tarry thou?
All right.
He says, arise.
He goes, receive your sight, be filled with the Holy Spirit.
And he said, basically, Ananias said, arise and be baptized.
That scripture is in, I believe, that's in Acts, what, 20?
22, 16.
It's 22.
That's why I was going back looking at chapter 9 trying to find it okay
so be baptized and wash away thy sins calling on the name of the lord yes that's from paul those
are paul's words that's not the words of ananias there that's paul delivering that message arise
be baptized wash away thy sins calling on the name of the Lord. No, this is Paul reliving, telling the audience what Ananias said to him.
Right.
Verse 16, he said, now why do you wait?
Arise, be baptized.
What are you waiting for, Paul?
Get up.
Get up and be baptized and wash away your sins and call on the name of the Lord.
How are you saved?
You repent.
Right.
You call on the name of the Lord and you are baptized. So if Saul was saved out there on the road before he came into Damascus,
then why did he still have sins?
Why did Ananias say, hey, you got to get these sins washed away. You need to call on the name of the Lord.
Because he wasn't saved outside of the city on the road.
He wasn't saved in that closet for three days.
Saul was saved in Judah's house on the night that Ananias came to him and laid hands on him.
That's when they baptized him.
That's when Saul called on the name of the Lord to save him.
He went down into the waters of baptism that night and came up clean,
came up born again, came up a member of the church of God. And this is opposite of what I was.
There are paintings, you know, you can,
you'll see paintings of the conversion of Saul on the road to Damascus.
There are sermons about the light knocking Paul off his horse.
Yes.
The Bible doesn't even say he was on a horse.
Right.
That was in my Sunday school lesson too, Rick.
Knocked him off his horse.
Knocked him off his horse.
No horse in here.
No, he got saved the night
Ananias came to him. Now, I'm going to give you five
evangelical arguments
that say that Doc and I are wrong.
Number one,
the evangelicals teach Saul called Jesus Lord before he was baptized.
That means he was saved.
Number two, this is their arguments.
Ananias addressed Saul as brother.
That proves that Saul was saved, according to that argument. Number three, they argue that Paul prayed for
three days, proof that he was saved. Number four, they say he received the Holy Spirit before he was
baptized. Not so. Not so. Number five, they'll say Paul said he was justified by faith, not baptism.
Are these five arguments true?
Well, we'll start.
As we've mentioned, Acts 22, verse 16, Ananias said to him, first Ananias says, the God of our fathers has
appointed you to know his will, to see the righteous one, to hear a voice from his mouth.
You saw, you've been chosen to be a witness for him to all men of what you have seen and heard.
Now, why do you wait?
Arise, be baptized.
Wash away your sins.
Call upon the name of the Lord.
So as we've already stated, Saul's sins had not been washed away.
Therefore, he was not born again.
It's as simple as that, Rick. Saul was saved by God's grace when he submitted to Christ's commandment to be baptized. Yes, he was saved by grace. The grace came to him when he obeyed the commandment of Christ to believe and be baptized.
Baptism alone will not save you.
Confession alone will not save you.
You must believe and confess and be baptized.
And that's when the grace of God
is extended to you and you are born again.
Saul was not saved by faith alone. He was saved by faith when? Yes. The when
was at the moment he was baptized into Christ.
Titus chapter 3 verses 4 and 7.
This is Paul speaking later.
Apostle Paul.
Long years later.
Paul wrote.
But when the kindness of our God and our Savior and his love towards mankind appeared,
not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and the renewing by the Holy Spirit,
whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that being justified by his
grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. When are you justified by
the grace of God? When are you made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
When you call upon the name, when you repent of your sins,
call upon the name of the Lord to save you and go through the washing of regeneration
and receive the renewing of the Holy Spirit.
Yes.
Romans 6, again, this is Apostle Paul. Many, many years later, Romans 6, verses 1 through 6. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?
May it never be. Yes. We who died to sin. How could we live in it any longer?
Verse 3.
Or don't you know that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Verse 4.
We were buried, therefore, with him through baptism into death.
That just as Christ was raised from the dead
through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of
his resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him,
that the body of sin might be done away with so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.
When do you receive the promise of eternal life through resurrection?
When you experience the death as Christ.
Yes.
Galatians chapter 3 verses 26 through 29 says,
You are all sons and heirs of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
For all of you who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Amen.
We don't put on Christ until we've been baptized into Christ.
Let's state that again.
Again, Apostle Paul teaching.
Right.
He's writing to the Galatians.
He says, you are all sons and heirs of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
For all of you who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. When do you put on
Christ? When you're baptized into Christ. I mean, it's pretty simple. It's really not complicated.
Doc, why is this such a contentious issue?
Why do people get so, you know, we're going to get flooded today and tomorrow with emails and letters condemning us for what we're teaching right now.
Oh, yeah, I know.
But all I can do is quote scripture.
That's all I can.
I don't understand it.
People get hung up on getting wet, Rick. Doc, you know, for years, I just accepted what I was taught because I did not
make a diligent effort to study it for myself. But when I made that effort to study baptism,
I realized that I had been taught wrong doctrine.
And now when you speak it to people, they just, they'll pull their hair out.
They become so furious over it.
I'm like, why are you so angry about baptism?
And you have three basic questions that come up in response. So one is, what about the thief on the cross?
The other is, what about deathbed salvations?
And the third one is usually, doesn't that make baptism a work and not an act?
You know, Doc, we should do.
The thief on the cross, but essentially, you know, Jesus saved the thief on the cross.
That's a big thing.
He didn't need to be baptized.
And that was before the resurrection anyway.
Yes.
And he did go to paradise.
Paradise was Hades, the side of where the righteous were kept.
Right.
And that's where Jesus went.
Jesus descended to the place of the dead.
Right.
And I believe he preached the gospel there,
and I believe the thief on the cross got born again.
Yes.
Baptism wasn't a requirement prior to the resurrection.
Baptism was not a requirement prior to the resurrection. Baptism was not a requirement prior to the resurrection. It was after the resurrection because Peter preached it on the day of Pentecost.
Repent and be baptized, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The other one is,
people say, what about deathbed confession, deathbed salvations? Look, if there is no roadblock to getting baptized, not even on your deathbed, you can baptize somebody on their deathbed.
There's nothing to prevent you from baptizing somebody.
And I go back to the Ethiopian eunuch, you know, and back in chapter eight, they're out in the
middle of the desert. What's one thing you don't have in a desert? Water. Okay. And yet water
appeared when he was ready to be baptized. I believe that if you have a desire to follow
the Lord, confess the Lord and desire to be baptized, God will provide the water. And so
there's no roadblock there. And also the other, the third argument, the three major arguments,
is it's a work, and you're making it a work of what we do. Well, I've made the argument before
that there are 1,050 commands in the New Testament.
You know, Jesus says, you know, do good to those that, you know, despitefully use you.
So are we not to do that one?
Is that a work or not?
I mean, are we supposed to do good?
Is that a work?
Is that a command of Jesus?
It is a command.
And yet people would never argue with me about not doing that, about not doing good.
And yet there are so many passages when it talks about baptism as it relates to the confession of faith.
They're really, in my mind, and it's settled for me, that baptism is a necessary component in being obedient to Jesus.
I don't understand why people make such a big deal about it. I really don't.
Just be baptized. What's the problem? What's the problem? Are you afraid of water? I mean, what's the problem? So those are my responses to those three main arguments, Rick.
Yes. You know, speaking on the deathbed conversions, I've had people come to me and say, you know, my father died. He got saved on his deathbed, but he wasn't baptized.
Is he saved?
And, you know, these kind of questions only, that's, they belong to Jesus Christ.
Okay.
The answer. But what I have said, and again, this answer will then get people all worked up. I have said to people when they've asked me that kind of question,
was your father or mother or grandmother, grandfather, were they baptized as infants?
Now, I don't practice infant baptism, but I understand why churches baptize infants.
And I've asked people who've had a deathbed conversion of a relative without baptism.
And I said, for your peace of mind, find out if your father or grandfather or grandmother, find out if they were baptized as a child.
Because I believe the Lord will accept it.
It's just in reverse order.
Right.
I have no issue with that either.
The confession came later.
Right.
So.
Doc, I'm throwing this out.
This is risky to do this because there's no scripture for this.
But you're talking about the thief on the cross and that, you know, Jesus descended to the place of the dead.
That is in the Apostles' Creed.
He descended to the place of the dead.
Well, I believe he preached to the people who had died before
the cross. Right. Well, Doc, where is that place? Is it a physical place or is it a spiritual place?
Is it in the center of the earth or is it some nebulous place in the sky?
Where is it?
The scripture doesn't tell us where it is.
It just tells us that it's paradise.
That was paradise.
Could there be water there?
Sure.
Well, maybe Jesus baptized the people that asked to be saved.
Right.
If Jesus is God, could he make water appear?
Yes, absolutely.
So to me, it's a mute topic.
It's something he didn't deem necessary for us to know. And, you know, we're spending time trying to figure out something that the Lord himself said.
I didn't put it in the Bible because there's no reason for you to know it.
Just go with what I told you.
Go with what you know.
And what you know is repent, confess, be baptized.
Acts 2, verse 38.
This is Apostle Peter.
Peter said to them, repent and be baptized.
Every one of you.
Not some of you.
Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in name of jesus christ for the forgiveness of sins
and you will receive the gift of the holy spirit and what must you do what must you do to receive
the holy spirit right and repent and be baptized right and uh peter clarifies this even more in 1 Peter, I think it's chapter 3, and it picks up in the spirit. After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits,
to those who were disobedient long ago
when God waited patiently in the days of Noah
while the ark was being built.
In it, only a few people,
eight in all, were saved through water.
And this water symbolizes baptism
that now saves you also.
Not the removal of dirt from the body,
but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
who has gone into heaven and is God's right hand with angels, authorities, and powers in
submission to him. It saves you. That's right.
Anyway.
Doc, I'm going to wrap it up.
I'm going to give five more reasons that I believe Saul was not saved on the road to Damascus, but saved in the city while in Judah's house. Number one, there was no rejoicing in Saul's spirit from the experience on the road
when the light, the glory of God appeared to him, when Jesus appeared to him and blinded him.
And then he's led blind into the city to Judah's house, and he spends three days locked up in a room without food or drink.
He's in darkness. There's no rejoicing. If he was saved, he would be rejoicing. There was no peace.
He's still searching. He's blinded. He's searching.
Yes.
There's no peace.
He was still in his sins, according to Ananias.
That's number three.
Number four, he had not called upon the name of Jesus Christ to save him.
Good point. good number five Saul went into the city of Damascus to be told by Ananias what he must do yes and so Acts 9 6 so he saw trembling and astonished said Lord what do you want me to do then the lord said to him arise
and go into the city and you will be told what you must do what was he told when he was in the
city three days later arise and be baptized yes so ananias had to teach him the reason why.
You know, and that's why we go.
That's why we're told to go and preach the gospel to every creature, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, the Holy Spirit.
You know, we're the ones that are supposed to be giving the instruction on that.
So Ananias had to give Paul the instruction,
all right, Saul, this is what you need to do. This is what needs to happen at this point.
There needs to be, you know, I'm going to pray for you to be healed, but you must be baptized.
And Paul might, you know, obviously he didn't question it. I mean, there wasn't a big fight about it or anything like that.
And so there has to be instruction that takes place.
We get questions.
I see some questions here.
What about a soldier dying on a battlefield?
What about deathbed situations?
Well, this is why we must go and preach the gospel.
This is why the responsibility is on us to preach the gospel and teach the gospel to every creature.
So we won't have deathbed confessions.
We won't have soldiers dying on the battlefield without Christ.
That's right.
It's on us, too.
What if Ananias had said, I'm scared to death of Saul. I'm not going. That's right. I mean, there'd be some believers today. He said, you know what, we need to deal with this
in a more diplomatic way. And, you know, we need to consider this, that, and the other thing. There'd
be believers like that today. But Ananias obeyed because he was following the gold command of Jesus and being obedient to the Lord.
