This is True News for Thursday, March 14, 2024. Doc, this is a bombshell. NBC News, we have the headline here.

Chuck Schumer calls for new elections in Israel, criticizing Netanyahu's leadership. And we've got a few quotes here from the NBC article. It says, in the most significant criticism made by a U.S. leader against the Israeli government since its war with Hamas began, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday called for new elections in Israel to replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Yes. Now, this story is still developing here. And he spoke on the Senate floor about 1030 this morning, 1030 Eastern Time. And so even some of the major news outlets are just now starting to catch up with some of the comments that he made. Of course, the most significant one was calling for new elections in Israel.

And we have a clip of that portion of the speech that Senator Schumer gave. Watch this. Five months into this conflict, it is clear that Israelis need to take stock of the situation and ask, must we change course? At this critical juncture, I believe a new election is the only way to allow for a healthy and open decision-making process about the future of Israel at a time when so many Israelis have lost their confidence in the vision and direction of their government. I also believe a majority of the Israeli public will recognize the need for change. And I believe that holding a new election, once the war starts to wind down, would give

Israelis an opportunity to express their vision for the post-war future. Of course, the United States cannot dictate the outcome of an election, nor should we try. That is for the Israeli public to decide. A public that I believe understands better than anybody that Israel cannot hope to succeed as a pariah opposed by the rest of the world. As a democracy, Israel has the right to choose its

own leaders, and we should let the chips fall where they may. But the important thing is that Israelis are given a choice. There needs to be a fresh debate about the future of Israel after October 7th. In my opinion, that is best accomplished by holding an election. Dr. Keyline in there is, Mr. Schumer said, Israel cannot survive if it becomes a pariah opposed by the rest of the world. Right. And that's exactly what has happened at this point in time. So I'm going to translate Mr. Schumer's remarks. What Mr. Schumer is saying is, Bibi Netanyahu's Palestinian pogrom that has slaughtered tens of thousands of children,

plus women, elderly, has flattened, what, three-fourths of the buildings in Gaza? Yes, at least that. What Mr. Schumer is saying is the videos of starving children, the videos of dying children, it has set back Zionist propaganda for decades. All the gains that Zionism made through propaganda over the last four or five decades have been wiped out in six months by Bibi Netanyahu.

That's what he's really saying. Right. by bb netanyahu that's what he's really saying right when he says israel cannot survive if it's opposed by the rest of the world what he's saying is zionism cannot survive yes they've lost their credibility the whole world sees what zionism is now the mask has come off and people in nations around the world are saying, my God, they'll kill children. Their snipers will shoot them in the streets. We never thought the Israelis would do such things. But now it's out in the open.

And the videos have circulated to hundreds of millions of people. They can't undo the damage. And so Charles Schumer was brought to this place today of saying, Bibi has got to go. Now, what just happened in Washington? AIPAC. Yes. The AIPAC. Yes. The AIPAC conference just ended. What this tells me,

Doc, is that behind the scenes, in the private meetings of AIPAC, the Jews were shouting at each other, we've got to get rid of Netanyahu. There was obviously a Netanyahu faction,

but then there was another faction led by Charles Schumer that said, we're not going to defend him anymore. This is too much for us. How are we going to go out here and defend the killing of children, the starvation of children? How are we going to go out here and defend the killing of children, the starvation of children?

How are we going to defend it? And what they're saying privately is all of the opponents of Zionism are having a field day. Right. They're winning. And we can't stop them. We can't oppose them because they're right. The Jews are killing children. They are slaughtering people.

And we can't say anything against it. Because the facts are the facts. So, it tells me that inside the AIPAC meeting this week, that the anti-Netanyahu faction won. They were given the green light. And Mr. Schumer went before the U.S. Senate today and announced what APAC decided. Yes. Senator Schumer said that Netanyahu has lost his way by allowing his political survival

to take precedence over the best interests of Israel. And that Schumer had aligned himself with far-right extremists like Finance Minister Bezalel Smoltrich and National Security Minister Ben Gavir, who he said are pushing support for Israel worldwide to historic lows. There it is. There it is, right there. People don't like us anymore. And they don't believe our propaganda.

Right. And we can call them anti-Semites and they don't care. Yes. It's not working anymore. It's not working anymore. And it's not going to work for a long, long time. Now, another major development in the speech that Senator Schumer gave today, and he could not be able to say these words today if he had not been given the go-ahead from AIPAC this week. Not only AIPAC, the hierarchy of Jewish leadership in America.

So, for the first time on the Senate floor, Senator Schumer called for a two-state solution for Israel. A Palestinian state. Right. Let's watch the video. Now, as a result of those inflamed tensions in both Israeli and Palestinian communities, people on all sides of this war are turning away from a two-state solution, including Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who in recent weeks has said out loud repeatedly what many have long suspected by outright rejecting the idea of Palestinian statehood and sovereignty. As the highest-ranking Jewish elected

official in our government and as a staunch defender of Israel, I rise today to say unequivocally this is a grave mistake for Israel, for Palestinians, for the region, and for the world. The only real and sustainable solution to this decades-old conflict is a negotiated two-state solution, a demilitarized Palestinian state living side by side with Israel in equal measures of peace, security, prosperity, dignity, and mutual recognition. Both Jews and Palestinians have long historic claims to this land. Contrary to the unfounded, absurd, and offensive claims by some that the Jewish people are colonizers in their ancestral homeland,

Jewish people have lived in the homeland continuously for more than three millennia, 3,000 years. For centuries, Jews have made Aliyah and gone to the land of Israel to live and settle. For centuries at Passover, Jews at every corner of the globe have prayed next year in Jerusalem. A Jewish homeland in Israel is no 20th century contrivance. Israel is our historic home, a home for people oppressed for centuries. Now the Palestinians too have lived on the land for generations. And in past centuries they have formed their own distinct culture, identity, cuisine, literature. The idea espoused by some, quote, there is no such thing as Palestinians, unquote, is inaccurate, offensive, unhelpful.

Yeah. Doc, I have to hand it to him on the last line there because there are people, especially on the right, Rick, who said there's no such thing as Palestinians. And for Senator Schumer to say that at the end, I appreciate that. Now, I have some disagreement about some of the rest of his remarks there. Palestine is in the Old Testament. The word Palestine is in the Old Testament Bible. I show that to Christian Zionists who say there's no such thing as Palestine. Well, then why is it in the Old Testament Bible?

So for the first time, I never dreamed, Doc, that there would be a day that I would applaud and commend Senator Charles Schumer. But I do. I applaud him and commend Senator Charles Schumer. But I do. I applaud him and I commend him for what he did today. That he is stepping up and saying, he didn't say it in these words, there's been enough killing. It can't go on. We have to change what we're doing, the way we're doing it, or the state of Israel is not going to survive.

And the deaths of all these children is going to bring about a Palestinian nation. These children that died in the past six months, they really are martyrs. They are Palestinian patriots who died for their country at age three months, two years. They were patriots who died for their country. And they will be remembered in the future country of Palestine as the patriots who died on the battlefield for the birth of their country. So I salute Senator Schumer. I'm glad that he finally did this.

This should have happened a long time ago. But I think one thing that moved him is that Mr. Netanyahu in recent months, as he said, has openly come out and said, I've always been against a

Palestinian state. Because what Bibi did for Bibi Netanyahu, what he did for decades, is that he would talk about a Palestinian state. Right. A two-state solution. At the right time. When time's right.

When we get things the way it's supposed to be. We'll have one. In recent months, he's said, I have always opposed it. I've always derailed it. And I think now that even Jewish leaders like Mr. Netanyahu are realizing, wait a minute, you lied to us. You deceived us. We believed you. We supported you.
