The Florida Republican told reporters at a news event at the Trump Hotel in Chicago yesterday that Crooks' overseas account immediately raised questions about his motives for carrying out the shooting of Donald Trump. I'm Rick Wiles. This is True News for Thursday, August 22, 2024. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's news by looking at this report published by the Daily Mail, Representative Mike Waltz says he isn't convinced Donald Trump's shooter, Thomas Crooks, I said Thomas Crooks, acted alone in the assassination attempt. We'll get into this story uh it says uh thomas uh matthew crooks may not have been acting alone when he tried to assassinate donald trump according to a member of congress investigating the shooting made these remarks yesterday to reporters from the daily mail congressman waltz

said the gunman's motivation is still unknown and he is worried that a foreign entity or other third party could have been involved in the attack. Waltz questioned how federal law enforcement officials can confidently say Crooks was a lone wolf if they can't answer other questions like why he had multiple foreign encrypted messaging accounts. What I can't understand is why anybody is saying they still don't know his motives. That's as obvious as anything. He wanted to kill President Trump. He wanted to kill Donald Trump. I mean, why are we talking about it? We don't know his motives.

His motive was to kill the president. But, Doc, this is interesting. Mr. Waltz is bringing up the fact that Thomas Crooks was using, not just using messaging apps, but encrypted apps on foreign platforms. I'll let you go with his quote. Yes. So Congressman Waltz said the following. I don't understand. I don't have any answers yet to help me understand how the Secret Service and DHS came out so quickly and said, and I think the FBI as well, but I'll have to check that, and said he operated alone. Waltz said when speaking with Daily Mail at the Trump Tower in Chicago Wednesday. How do you know that mere days about that into your investigation? The Florida congressman added, you can't tell us his motive, but you could tell us he operated

alone. You can't get into these encrypted overseas accounts, but you can tell us he acted alone. So I don't buy that. Why didn't that get picked up if he's searching that online or buying literature on how to do that? Representative Walsh says, while federal agencies and congressional committees are scrutinizing the Secret Service over the attempted assassination, there are more concerning details emerging that make the attack even more ominous. And that includes the revelation of an Iranian plot to assassinate President Trump around the same time as the crooks attempt. And Representative Walz says, it's really what's coming out around is that it is so disturbing. to take out a former president, leading candidate, and that a Pakistani national was just arrested after making a down payment for hitmen. And it's barely even being covered in the news. Kirk's had encrypted messaging accounts on platforms based in Germany, Belgium, and New Zealand.

We still haven't learned a lot, Waltz said. We haven't learned that much about those overseas accounts. So he asked, why does a 19-year-old kid who is a health care aide need encrypted platforms not even based in the U.S., but based abroad where most terrorist organizations know it's harder for our law enforcement to get into? But, Doc, those three countries, Germany, Belgium, and New Zealand, are all U.S. allies. Right. Why aren't they cooperating?

Yeah. I mean, you're dealing with an attempted assassination of a former president. You're telling me the U.S. intelligence agencies, the FBI, can't contact law enforcement in Germany, Belgium, and New Zealand, saying, hey, we need you to put a little pressure. And open up those accounts. Yeah. Go to those messaging app companies and tell them this was an attempt at assassination. We need the accounts.

I mean, they'd do it for any other reason. Right. I mean, they'll do it for far less seriousness than an attempted assassination. Yeah, they'll do it if you question the current narrative that's going on. Precisely. So,

you know, the congressman's asking good questions. Where he's going with it, though, I think, definitely where the media is going with it, is that there's an insinuation that crooks worked for Iran. Right. I don't believe that. I don't either.

What would Iran's motive be in killing Donald Trump? You know, and that's something that's been out there in narrative that's been out there now, what, for four or five years. Remember that Iran released that silly cartoon video that they were going to take Donald Trump out on his golf course and everything? And even then, it was like, I mean, did an intern at Central Casting produce that video to just get a narrative about Iran talking about things? With all the problems Iran has right now, do they really want to spend time killing Donald Trump? I mean, their number one enemy is Benjamin Netanyahu. Right. If they were going to assassinate somebody, you would think it would be Netanyahu.

So I don't buy the Iranian theory. If you're going to say another country was involved, I would say there would be more likelihood that it's Ukraine. Right. Ukraine has more to lose if Donald Trump is elected. That's correct. They're going to lose all the money. Right. All the weapons. So I'm not saying Ukraine is behind it. I'm just saying I wouldn't buy into the narrative that Iran is behind it. Oh, and there might be some out there that said Ukraine would be justified in doing it. That's a good point. That's another story. That's another story.

But I did see one headline that said if Iran was involved in it, this could lead to World War III. How convenient. So there you go. Then, once again, you would have the argument, Iran tried to kill a former president. We have to get involved in a war with Iran. But just be careful. You know, as you see these stories coming out, don't believe every single story. This could also be that Crooks was using foreign-based messaging apps to cover up the trail that led to the United States.

Right. This 19-year-old kid orchestrated, thought this out, created those accounts to cover his tracks. I mean, it wouldn't be the first time that criminals, but the actors are domestic and were attempting to throw investigators off the trail. Right. So there's something there, but we don't know what it is. But I'm not going to jump to conclusions and say Iran tried to kill Donald Trump. Did you ever have something in your house and you smelled something in the house? It stinks. It just flat stinks and you can't find where it's coming from.

That's this right here. That's the story that we have right now. Another story that came out about a day ago. I think it was yesterday. This is a telegraph. U.S. prepares for threat of joint notices. U.S. prepares for the threat of a joint Chinese-Russian-North Korean nuclear strike. And this was done in secret.

For the first time, the move has focused the U.S. deterrence strategy on China's rapid expansion of its nuclear arsenal. It also aims to address the threat of coordination between Beijing, Moscow, and Pyongyang,

according to The New York Times. Now, what possibly could motivate Russia, North Korea, and China to nuke the United States? Could it be our behavior? Yes. Could it be our continued supply of weapons, arms, and missiles to Ukraine attacking Russian territory, attacking Russian facilities, army bases? I mean, there's going to be a give one day. Let's show you what happened today. Earlier today. RT, Ukraine, as according to the Russians, Ukraine tried to attack Russian nuclear plant, says Vladimir Putin. So Ukrainian forces have attempted to strike the Kursk nuclear power plant in Russia.

That's according to President Vladimir Putin speaking at a cabinet meeting. Kiev sent thousands of troops, of course, into Russia's Kursk region earlier this month, attempting to reach the town of Kurchatov, where the nuclear facility is located. Moscow has declared the incursion an act of terrorism and has deployed additional troops to repel the invaders. President Putin said last night the enemy attempted to strike the atomic power plant. The IAEA has been informed. They promised to come themselves and send specialists to assess the situation. I hope they actually do so. The IAEA already has observers working at the Zephyr ZA nuclear power plant, Europe's largest such facility.

That's located in Ukraine. And the mission was deployed in the summer of 2023 as Ukrainian troops attempted to seize the plant. Earlier this month, a Ukrainian drone attack set one of those cooling towers at the plant on fire. Now, we have a bit of video from President Vladimir Putin speaking to his cabinet, but I want you to hear the entire video here because he makes a very stern comment at the end of this video that you need to listen to. Watch this. The enemy tried to attack the nuclear power plant this night. The IAEA has been informed of that. They promised to send in their specialists to survey the situation.

Saying once again, I'm asking you to prepare right now the necessary orders and start executing them immediately. We will be in touch on this 24-7 and respond promptly to any issues that may emerge. Did you hear what he said there at the end? I'm executing orders to act in response to this. To immediately implement. Right. I don't know what those orders are, but I can kind of guess what they might be. Let's go back.

Let's watch that again. Okay. Pay close attention to Putin's remarks that he has given instructions for the immediate implementation of orders. So if what Mr. Putin said is correct, Ukraine attempted to seize control or detonate a nuclear power plant inside Russia, which would cause a tremendous environmental disaster. Primarily for Europe.
