American Reserves.
Faith. Wisdom. Prepared. Former President Donald Trump is now officially President-elect Donald Trump. He made history last night as the only second president in American history to be
elected to two non-consecutive terms. I'm Rick Wiles. This is True News for Wednesday, November 6,
2024. Let's begin our post-election analysis and commentary with this NBC headline,
Donald Trump defeats Kamala Harris to become the next U.S. president.
Now, Doc, about an hour ago, and you might check, CBS News had yet to declare that he was.
They said he's projected to win.
Trump projected to win.
That was still on the front page of CBS News an hour ago.
They can't bring themselves to admitting what happened.
But anyhow, he did win the election and he won it big.
And I'm glad to see the victory was decisive.
There's nothing to debate, nothing to argue over, nothing to have riots about.
I want to put on the map, over, nothing to have riots about.
I want to put on the map, this is a Fox News electoral map.
And of course, the states in red voted for Trump.
States in blue went for Kamala Harris. The ones in white have not yet been called, although Nevada has already been called for Donald Trump.
So he won the state.
Arizona has not been called yet. and Michigan has not been cited.
And they have Alaska on there, but Alaska went for Trump.
And so this map is earlier this morning.
And you might notice two states there.
They're both blue and red.
Those are states that are portioned by congressional districts, Nebraska and Maine.
Oh, okay. I thought they just had color bars up there.
That's where they're at. But yes, I
saw the returns on this about 2.30
in the morning. Did you? Yeah. Did you stay up? No, I stayed up until
midnight and I went to bed
and the nature called
and I got up
and I said,
well, I'll just check in.
And just as I was checking in,
Donald Trump was
at Palm Beach Convention Center
getting ready
to make a victory speech.
You know,
I went to bed earlier
because there was a point
where I saw the trend
and I said,
he's won.
This is not going
to be a tight race.
He's won.
I just knew it
in my spirit, in my mind, just looking at it. So he's won this is not going to be a tight race he's won i just knew it in my in my
spirit in my mind just looking at it so he's he's leading this this is not going to be any suspense
in this uh campaign i'm going to go to bed but during the night i would wake up uh about every
90 minutes and just look at my phone and somewhere around 2, 2.30 I saw that they had announced
that he was the projected winner.
So I knew, okay, this is over.
There's no debate.
There's nothing to argue about and have a fight about.
And the states that remain are likely going to be going for Donald Trump as well.
But if you go back and look at that map again, the United States of America is conservative.
Only the West Coast, the East Coast,
and there in the center,
you've got a couple states,
Colorado and New Mexico,
that are voting Democrat.
But for the most part, overwhelmingly,
the United States of America is conservative.
This map justifies keeping the Electoral College.
You see this? If the election is decided by popular vote, you could have those states on the East Coast and the West Coast choosing the president, and the rest of the country has to live with who they chose.
That's right. So, you know, there's a lot of people that diss the electoral college system, but out of all the things the founding fathers did, this was one of the most unique
inventions.
No other country does anything like this at all.
Because the founding fathers, they weren't unanimous in this idea.
No.
It came through debate, but they were trying to protect the states.
Right.
They didn't want a big, populous state to rule over the smaller states.
Right. So let's take, for instance, New York, a large population, New York state. If you went
strictly for a popular vote, there might be elections where New York and California,
they would determine the whole course of the election.
That's right. So don't get rid of the electoral college.
Now, it is interesting. Can we put that map up one more time?
If you look at the popular vote right now, Donald Trump, 71 million to Kamala Harris is 66 million.
Now, if I recall back in 2020, Joe Biden had 81 million, right?
Isn't that correct?
He got more votes than any president in history, Doc.
That's what they tell us.
And in that election, Donald Trump got right at 72 million, just about the same number as this time.
So where did those other 16 million votes go?
They couldn't get them through the ballot harvesting system.
That's exactly what it is, Doc.
I mean, I think that's an honest
question right now. Just comparing this election
and that election. I saw that last night.
Where did those voters go? Where are they? Did they just drop
off the map? There should be more voters.
Right. No, they couldn't
get... The system had been
tightened up. The Republicans tightened up
the rules in a lot of states.
And the Democrats
also knew people were watching.
And it made it very difficult
for them to stuff the ballot boxes.
But it's a very,
very good,
legitimate question to ask.
The one thing,
and I posted this early
this morning on Twitter.
The American people
have chosen Donald Trump.
And it is time for his enemies to end their Trump derangement syndrome.
Get over it.
Let the man be president for four years.
There's more to life than politics.
Move on.
Get a life.
I don't want to hear four years of Trump derangement syndrome like we heard during his last term.
I don't want to hear it.
And actually, if you go back even further than that, I mean, this whole TDS syndrome started back in 2014 when Donald Trump put his foot, you know, put his hat in the bullring.
That's when it all started then.
So we've had 10 years of this.
That's hard to imagine, Rick.
And it has a toll on the mental health of the American people.
Because the people who suffer with Trump derangement syndrome,
quite frankly, are not mentally stable.
Ordinarily, they would be.
But because they become consumed with hatred of one man,
and then they're causing so many other people
to have distress in their life.
It's like, I don't want to hear it day and night,
day and night, day and night.
I mean, the media was obsessed with Donald Trump
during the four years he was in the White House.
They've been obsessed with him during the last four years, trying to put him in prison.
They were obsessed throughout this entire year, trying to block him from winning the election.
He won.
Shut up.
Just shut up.
It's time to be quiet.
Yes.
We didn't do this stuff in this country in the past with elections.
It's like you have an election, you get over it.
The other side won, okay, that's the way it is.
We'll have another election.
Democrats need to be asking the question, why did they lose?
Will they actually ask that question?
Because they would have to admit the American people are fed up with them,
got tired of it, and literally told them yesterday,
we've had enough of your
stuff.
You told us that we can't have Trump, and we just chose Trump.
What are you going to do about it?
Because that's really what happened.
The people spoke and said, he's the president.
He's the man we want to be president.
Now, shut up.
Leave us alone.
And you only have a handful of states on the East Coast and West Coast that said no.
The rest of the country said yes to Trump.
That's the reality.
Get over it.
Live with it.
There's life beyond politics.
I don't want to hear politics day and night.
But the way the Democrats exist, there's nothing else in their life, Doc, except politics.
And they're not balanced in it.
They're obsessed.
They're literally driven with an obsession to control politics.
And they'll go to any length to control.
And if the Democrats start up, if they, you know, they've been quiet all day.
Kamala Harris hasn't said peep, nothing.
They're quiet today.
They don't know what to do.
But if they start up later this week or next week, I think they risk a backlash where the American people are just going to say to them, we're done with you.
Okay, leave us alone.
We're done.
We don't want to hear
it. The media better learn a lesson out of this. The news media better learn a lesson. I don't
know if they will, but if they were smart, they would learn. I want to get through some of the
other headlines. Take a look at what we have here. This is New York Times. Trump is not the first president to come back from defeat. There in the photograph is Grover Cleveland, who is the only other president to be elected twice in non-consecutive terms.
This was in the late 1800s.
And Grover Cleveland was from New York, like Donald Trump, but he was a Democrat.
And various things. He had a sex scandal. Cleveland was from New York, like Donald Trump, but he was a Democrat. Right.
And various things.
He had a sex scandal.
Believe it or not, old Grover there.
Hard to believe.
He had a child out of wedlock with a girlfriend. That definitely hurt him back in the 1800s.
But the thing that really got him was that he was going to cut the pensions for the Civil War veterans.
Yes.
And once again, don't touch the veterans.
The Civil War veterans worked against him.
And then there was another issue involving the Native American Indian reservations.
That's right, yes.
Called the Dawes Act, D-A-W-E-S, Dawes Act.
And what they did, Doc, is that Senator Dawes, somewhere from New England, they passed this bill to break up the reservations from the American Indians, the first Native citizens, and they stripped them of about two-thirds of their land, about 100 million acres.
And the plan was to divide it up into plots and have the American Natives living on private property, their own property.
Right. natives living on private property, their own property. They were saying, okay, the Indians, they don't understand white civilization.
We have private property.
This is America now, and they need to get with it.
They need to be assimilated into our society.
They need to have private property.
They got this concept of they own all the land, all right?
The whole earth is theirs okay well we reduced
them down to just reservations and they still are thinking this way that was the plan behind it
to teach them private enterprise and private property rights but it ended up taking away
two-thirds of the land from the indians right and cleveland uh signed law, and it hurt him because it turned into disaster.
Anyhow, he's the only other president to serve a term, get defeated, then come back and win.
He was defeated by Benjamin Harrison, Republican Benjamin Harrison, who was a Civil War veteran.
So he got defeated by a Civil War veteran.
I'm certain Harrison was Civil War.
So Donald Trump made history.
That's what I want you to see.
We saw history made last night.
What about the Senate and the House? ABC News. This is Arizona. Okay,
so this is showing where we're at. Go ahead and scroll down. I want to see. This is as a couple
hours ago, the state of Arizona. Yeah, these are just Arizona returns here, by the way.
Yes, this is just Arizona. But they haven't called the state yet. As of right now, at noontime Wednesday,
they've not called the state. But Donald Trump has a slight lead
over Kamala Harris in the state of Arizona.
Scroll down. There's the Senate race. And Kerry
Lake is losing. Right. Right now.
By 60,000
votes right now.
It's going to be interesting to see
where this lands.
It's only 66% of
the votes tallied so far,
Rick.
It is possible
for Cary Lake to still pull out a win
there. It's possible for Kamala Harris
to pull out a win also because I don't know where the
other 40% is coming from, which counties.
Next one, Las Vegas.
This is showing Donald Trump as winning the state.
Earlier today, Nevada was still undecided.
It's been called for him.
He won the state of Nevada.
And another big victory there and i think i don't know if we can scroll down on that and there was a senate race there also i don't
know if we have it on that one maybe not um and that was that race is still up in the air and
once again like like it is with uh arizona where Trump is winning the state.
In the Senate race, the Republican is losing.
Same thing's happening in Nevada.
That's interesting.
Okay, so people split tickets, and some people voted for a Democrat for Senate.
All right.
If we could put that back up on the screen there.
Did you see the third choice there, Rick?
Joe Skousen.
No, none of these candidates.
Well, wait a minute.
I see Joe Skousen.
Yes.
I didn't know that Joe Skousen ran for the Senate.
No, this is President.
Joe ran for the presidency under what party?
It says independent there.
It's independent.
I didn't know that.
Well, he wasn't on every ballot because he wasn't on the ballot here.
Well, he was in Nevada.
Yeah.
But he got beat out by none of these candidates.
Chase Oliver was the Libertarian candidate.
Yeah, I see none of these candidates came in at 14,000 votes.
That's in the mood of the people.
I wish more ballots had that choice.
And so another one is Detroit.
This is for Michigan.
This is the presidential general election for Michigan here.
Donald Trump with a slight lead there.
This is 95% of the precincts reporting.
It's still a little tight, but I don't see Kamala Harris being able to pull this out
in the remaining 5%. That's going to be a squeaker.
Right. But I agree, it's going to go to Trump,
but it's going to be razor thin in Michigan. And in Michigan, too, there was another
hitch, if we can put that back up. Robert F. Kennedy was on the ballot in Michigan.
Now, the Democrats wouldn't take his name off.
Right.
They fought to keep it off,
and then once it got on,
they fought to keep it on.
Because they were hoping that he would take more votes
from Trump than Harris.
He got 25,000 votes.
I mentioned the House and the Senate.
The Republicans won control of the U.S. Senate.
They picked up three seats as of right now.
They won Ohio, defeated a sitting senator.
Yes.
Okay.
And West Virginia, Governor Justice won in West Virginia.
That was early.
Joe Manchin.
And then early this morning, they picked up Montana.
Senator John Tester was defeated, and Republicans have been trying to defeat him for years.
They finally did it today, so the Republicans picked up three Senate seats.
That means Charles Schumer is no longer the majority leader of the Senate come, guess about december right i think they'll they'll make their uh
changes uh in december uh or or early january in the house it's still undecided yes uh still
races that have not been called yet but republicans have picked up seats but the democrats picked up
a couple seats also um There's just still some outstanding
House seats that have to be decided, but I can't imagine the Democrats, this is a wave against
them. The odds of them picking, winning the House, not good, Doc. So-
Right now, as it stands, the GOP has confirmed 200 seats that they've won. The Dems won 81.
And so still a little bit of room there, but it's unlikely that the Democrats can gain enough traction here to pick up the remaining gap there.
Okay, so now let's take a look at the election night parties.
First of all, I'm going to show you where the Trump party was held.
It's at the Palm Beach Convention Center.
All of us here are very familiar with that site right there.
Been there several times.
Beautiful Palm Beach city.
And so that is there along Okeechobee Boulevard when you come off of I-95 headed towards the the—well, that's actually—that's looking west, right?
I'm trying to think.
Yeah, I'm trying to think, too.
I think that's looking west.
But it's a beautiful sight, and I want to show you what it looked like last night. You could feel, I wasn't there, but just looking at the videos, you could feel
the excitement in the air as the Trump supporters were gathered outside. The building was packed
inside, but we'll show you some scenes from outside the Palm Beach Convention Center. there gave proof through the night of President-elect Donald Trump. And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up next to you
And defend her still today
Cause there ain't no doubt
I love this land
All right.
So that was Donald Trump arriving
to give his victory speech.
What is Melania feeding Barron Trump?
I don't know.
That boy is glowing.
That is just incredible.
So the whole family is there. Everybody don't know. That boy is growing. That is just incredible. So the whole family is there.
Everybody's lining up. And so it's the crowd was very, very receptive to this. So we're going to
go right to Donald Trump speaking here. Let's take a look at this next video. This is from Fox. As Donald Trump makes way here in delivering his
victory speech late, I mean very early this morning.
Let's watch this.
Well, I want to thank you all very much. This is great. These are our
friends. We have thousands of friends in this
incredible movement.
This was a movement like nobody's ever seen before.
And frankly, this was, I believe, the greatest political movement of all time.
There's never been anything like this in this country and maybe beyond.
We overcame obstacles that nobody thought possible and it is now clear that we've achieved the most incredible political thing. Look what happened, is this crazy? But it's a political victory that our country has never seen before.
Nothing like this.
I think what we have just what we've witnessed over a period of several years during his presidency, he was impeached twice.
Yes, he survived two impeachments.
Then he was defeated then he was
prosecuted multiple indictment indictments convictions prosecuted persecuted
two attempted assassinations
doc there's never been anything like this in the history
of this country. Raids on his home?
Yeah, FBI raids on his home.
There's never been anything like this in the history of the country.
Whether you like him or not,
you have to stand back and say,
this is one amazing person.
Whatever faults he has, he's got a lot of faults. He's. With whatever faults, he's got a lot of faults.
He's not a perfect man.
He's got a lot of flaws, but he is enormously strong and determined and will not stop.
This guy is a bulldozer.
This guy is coming through.
You are not going to stop that man. Even bullets don't stop this guy's coming through you are not going to stop that man even bullets don't stop
this guy it is amazing to watch i mean the last president who was shot and continued campaigning
was teddy roosevelt but he lost the election he was running for his third term. He was shot, actually took a bullet.
But we've never had anybody, another New Yorker, okay?
We've never had anything like this in the history of the United States of America.
I'm just saying, as an American, just be aware, we have watched history made.
This is unique. This stuff goes we have watched history made. This is unique.
This stuff goes down in the history books.
So think of all that has happened, just a wave of attack after attack and attack.
And once again, I'm with you.
Whether you like him or love him, either one, whether you hate him or love him, either one, you have to sit back and say, okay, this guy is a survivor.
He's a fighter.
He doesn't back down.
And the tougher it gets, the stronger he gets.
I mean, this guy puts his head down and just says, I'm coming through.
This is the kind of person you want on your football team.
He's not going to stop.
Now, last night, he said,
many people have told me God spared my life.
I'm glad to hear him say this again.
Let's watch, and we'll have some comments about it.
I said that many people have told me
that God spared my life for a reason.
And that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness.
And now we are going to fulfill that mission together.
We're going to fulfill that mission together. We're going to fulfill that mission.
The task before us will not be easy, but I will bring every ounce of energy, spirit,
and fight that I have in my soul to the job that you've entrusted to me.
This is a great job.
There's no job like this.
This is the most important job in the world. Just as I did in my first term, we had a great first term, a great, great first term.
I will govern by a simple motto, promises made, promises kept. We're going to keep our promises.
I'm glad to hear him say it. I would say this.
The number one reason, Doc, that God spared his life was for his soul.
I agree with that, yes.
Number one.
Not the presidential election. Not the country, not the presidential race, but for Donald Trump's soul.
That's the number one reason.
Number two, he said, many people told me that the reason God spared his life was so that he would restore America's greatness.
Okay, I'm all right with that.
But our greatness is totally dependent on our goodness.
And so I hope Mr. Trump meditates on this thought, ponders it, seeks the Lord.
What am I supposed to do? For you the Lord. What am I supposed to do?
For you, God, what am I supposed to do?
To restore the country to greatness.
What does that mean?
Economic greatness or moral greatness?
Well, one thing, Mr. President, means don't appoint homosexuals to your cabinet like you did the last time.
Don't sell out the pro-life movement like you did during the campaign.
Don't allow your wife to hold LGBTQ fundraisers in Mar-a-Lago.
You want to restore the country to greatness?
Then you have to do goodness.
And if God spared your life to make the country great,
the Lord has a different definition of greatness.
And it's not economic might. it's not the dollar bill it's the moral condition of the american people so if you if
you are going to do something to restore the country to greatness then you have to do the
good things god wants done now i've heard the, well, Rick, we're not electing a Sunday school teacher. Why do I say that?
But at the same time, you'll hear some of the same people say, but God's hand
is on him. Right. But those two things
are, you know, how can you say both?
I think you can, because he's
not called to preach
but there's
I believe God has a calling
on him for the office of
president I believe there's a calling there
but
but God is expecting him
to be led by the spirit
Donald Trump himself there must be personal spiritual growth
in Donald Trump. And I pray for it. I hope it develops. I hope so too.
I want that. I do. I want that for him. Not for the good, for him.
See, the first
thing that's important is his relationship with Jesus Christ.
So I'm glad to see him moving in
that direction but he's got to be he needs people there who telling him uh mr president look we
can't abandon unborn children we can't promote the lgbtq movement it doesn't matter what the republican party went the republican party this year abandoned
pro-family values and abandoned pro-life values right they took it out of the platform and
right now it's the trump family that controls the rnc so i'm praying uh. Trump is saying you know people are telling me
he's not saying he
is aware that God spared his life
he says people tell me God spared my life
that almost indicates like
he's not sure himself
I pray I sincerely
hope that he has
a spiritual awakening
in his own life
and there may be doc there might be something up ahead in our country's future
that God needs Donald Trump and the White House to get this country through it.
I don't doubt it.
If there is a crisis up ahead, it may be that it's somebody as strong as Donald Trump
who can get through the crisis
and lead the country through the crisis.
We don't know what's up ahead.
I know there's a calamity up ahead,
but that, I believe, is about six to eight years ahead
in the 2030s.
I don't think that grand finale of World War III
is going to happen because,
and I'll get into this here in a moment.
I want to talk about World War III and stuff here, how this is going to play out.
I'll get back to the political events that happened last night.
So we saw what the Trump party looked like.
What was the party looking like over at the Harris campaign?
Well, we had this report from MSNBC. This was after an
announcement had been made that Kamala Harris would not be speaking. At the Howard University
in Washington, D.C. That's where everybody was gathering, Howard University. Let's watch.
Let's watch this, yes. She will be back at Howard tomorrow to make remarks both to Howard and to
the nation. Yes, yes, you heard that right. The crowd, you can probably see behind me the rush to the exits. I
mean, as soon as he said that, people turned on their heels and they were out of here. The evening
was getting increasingly somber as people realized what this map is looking like. He did indicate
that she would be back tomorrow to speak to people here and to speak to the nation. That, of course,
is a logistical nightmare on several levels because the university was
not expecting her to come back tomorrow.
I don't know how large the crowd will be.
There are a lot of unknowns in that statement.
I do know that there was a lot of hand-wringing and consternation in her camp about when she
should leave, about when she should start to head here, and her victory party, which
was in another part of town, at what point they turned off the TV set and just piped up the music because the room was
starting to get increasingly somber. So a lot of people here, I'm not, you know, I haven't had a
chance to talk to people who expressed disappointment. There really is still a lot of
people who are holding on to hope, trying hard to hold on to hope. But the numbers, you know, it's hard to do that in the face of a map
that really looks like it's presenting a very steep challenge.
A country that at this point is still very divided.
Yeah, and obviously the Harris campaign knew it at that time.
That was 1245 in the morning.
And so they split.
She did the same thing that Hillary Clinton did in 2016.
Hillary Clinton would not go out and face her supporters
and admit that she was defeated. In fact, she sent Mr. Podesta out
to do the closing of the morgue.
Right. And the next day, Hillary Clinton came out
wearing purple. Remember, she was wearing a purple dress. So let's see if Kam 6 p.m. speech.
You're now history.
Yes.
You're has-been now.
You needed to do this last night or first thing this morning,
you know, 5, 6 o'clock in the morning.
You don't do it at six o'clock the
next night your now has been your history few people are going to pay attention to her her
supporters aren't going to watch it right her supporters are going to be they're going to be
on twitter they're going to be doing things social media they're not going to watch who cares now
about kamala harris she's really being criticized by a lot. Even Democrats are criticizing her, saying, hey, this is really low class.
She should have been out there talking to her supporters.
She should have thanked them personally.
She should have wished Donald Trump well.
But how do you say congratulations to a person you said is Hitler?
Right.
Dear Adolf, I hope you rule the country country well so see she got herself in trouble by
calling him hitler so now she can't congratulate the fuhrer she should not have done that okay
she she painted herself into a box that she can't get out um what about the news media how are they
taking it doc well we have uh from the international press, this is France 24.
This is how they were reporting it last night.
They see the video there.
Supporters begin to leave Kamala Harris's watch party at Howard University.
And so this is what France 24 reported to its audience as they woke up in Europe today.
And there were polls that were done in Europe, Rick, over the past few days.
Kamala Harris was preferred two to one over Donald Trump in most polls in Europe.
Now, those polls don't mean a hill of beans here, but that's the attitude there.
All the European media, because you and I have read it all year long that's right all the newspapers everything told the european people trump is
trash he's going to lose right and so they wake up today they find out no the american people
see what they were told the the american the trump voters were trash okay so they found out that the
trash got up and voted yes all right and they're in shock. I want to show you some of the, this is Jake Tapper.
Oh, yes. So this video here, Rick, Jake Tapper was talking, I forget who it is he's talking with here,
but they were discussing whether or not it was a good idea for Kamala Harris to replace Joe Biden.
And so they did an analysis on the TV there.
And I'll show it to you here in just a moment and ask the question, is there any place in the country where Kamala Harris outperformed Joe Biden from 2020?
Watch this.
So you asked, are there any places that the vice president is overperforming Joe Biden in 2020?
So we can show you that as well.
We just bring that out here.
Harris overperforming 2020.
Holy smokes.
There you go.
So let this go away and see if there's anything on the east side there.
Literally nothing.
Literally nothing.
Literally not one county.
Literally not one county.
You mean the red?
Not one county you mean they're red not one county right not a single county voted more for harris than they did for joe biden right but that goes back to that question
where are all those biden votes yeah where's the other 16 million people
so i'm just asking now uh fox news did an analysis on on who it was that came out for Donald Trump
and how that might have really determined the direction you know Donald Trump been accused
being a racist misogynist he hates Latinos he hates blacks he hates Jews all this stuff
but when you drill down to the actual results of the election, it tells a very different story.
This is Fox News here.
Because he gained with nearly all the demographics, including women, not a huge amount, but two men, three non-college educated so if you're thinking of people who might have been in the rank and file
of the unions working class people said they are for trump plus six this to me is decisive
these next two hispanic voters plus six black voters plus seven so that was not a mirage that
was in the data and president trump captured something and he'll probably be able to keep them
but this was a big one too a huge part of the reason that Trump beat Harris is because young voters went for Trump plus 10.
And Bill, 40 percent of those young voters said that the economy was our number one issue.
They've been saying that all along. All these people said this all along.
I don't know why the Biden-Harris team didn't listen to them. Also, like here in Florida, Miami-Dade County.
Oh, yes.
Heavily Hispanic, Latino, Cuban, and he won the county.
And he can thank Ron DeSantis for that, because Ron DeSantis is one that really flipped Miami-Dade.
But the Miami-Dade, Hispanic, Hispanic Latino Cuban population has become Republican. Yes.
The Democrats can no longer claim South Florida as their home base anymore. And the Democrats can't
sit there and say that Latinos are, you know, their demo. There's a county in Texas, Rick,
that in 2020, Donald Trump only got 16% of the vote.
It's an overwhelmingly Hispanic county.
This time, 81%. 81%?
Yes.
I mean, imagine going from 16% to 81%.
I saw it was 79 a little while ago, so maybe new results have come in.
But imagine going from 16% support to 80 plus percent amazing over four
years so what's changed among the latino community uh they didn't buy in the puerto rican nonsense
they saw they saw the biden harris campaign rip open the border and allow millions to come in illegally.
And the Latino Hispanic population that's here, good, hardworking people who are here
legally were offended by it.
Right.
OK, I got to show you MSNBC.
They were breaking down.
They just it was a horrible night for them.
Let's watch.
We're turned to the White House as this country's 47th president.
And for so many of you watching right now, that news is, to say the least, a lot to digest.
I understand that personally.
After he lost four years ago, he refused to accept the outcome and incited a violent insurrection on our nation's capital.
He's campaigned while facing criminal indictments related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 results. And he's run as a convicted felon. During this campaign, he has also promised to
essentially be an authoritarian leader to use power like no American president ever has before.
They just don't stop.
They don't give it a break.
What they're really afraid of is that last line.
Yes.
That he may come after them.
That's what they're scared of.
And I'll tell you the out of bay, Doc, because the way Donald Trump should handle this, probably the most important appointment he's going to make to his cabinet will be attorney general.
If he puts in another Bill Barr or any of those guys that he had, a long list of clowns that he had in as – I shouldn't use the word clown, but a long list of people who were less than loyal.
Let's just put it like this, less than loyal to him,
who wouldn't even investigate allegations of election fraud.
They wouldn't even look at it. They would participate with the people who were trying to impeach him.
Okay, so he's got to put in an attorney general who has backbone and fire in his eyes and will go after the collusion.
They've got to go after this cartel.
It's a political cartel of politicians, news media, think tanks.
There's a long list of people deep state operations okay the george soros network of political operation they've got to open up a federal investigation to see if there
was collusion collusion to destabilize the trump presidency from 2017 to january 2021 did they collude to destabilize the
presidency and if there was they need to be prosecuted because we can't allow that in the
united states you just can't allow a conspiracy to operate to bring down an elected president
uh and and so that's what i think they're afraid of and how are they going to get rid of email a conspiracy to operate to bring down an elected president.
And so that's what I think they're afraid of.
And how are they going to get rid of email, you know, records and documents? I mean, there's so much that they're going to have to destroy suddenly.
There's documents they forgot that exist, digital documents, files.
They forgot they exist.
A prosecutor can find this stuff right okay can you imagine
two years from now a special prosecutor issuing a report naming organizations and officials who
participated in a conspiracy to destabilize the Trump administration.
It will be, especially if it gets into intelligence agencies and the FBI.
That's what he's got to do.
He can't announce, hey, I'm going after my enemies.
That's not going to look right.
Do a legitimate criminal investigation for the purpose of cleaning up politics.
Right.
And if there is evidence, then we'll deal with it if there's no evidence then we'll move on it's just that simple um
this next one scott jennings is a is a commentator he's the conservative commentator on cnn right he laid them out i don't know what hour this was recorded
but he laid them i'm them talking about his fellow cnn journalists and commentators
he just told them the truth they sat there stone face silent realizing he's right. He's telling us the truth. They wanted to know why Trump won.
He told them. Let's watch. This is a mandate. He's won the national popular vote for the first
time since for a Republican, for the first time since 2004. This is a big deal. This isn't backing
into the office. This is a mandate to do what you said you were going to do.
Get the economy working again for regular working class Americans, fix immigration, try to get crime under control, try to reduce the chaos in the world.
This this is a mandate from the American people to do that. I think I'm interpreting the results tonight as the revenge of just a regular old working class American, the anonymous American who has been crushed, insulted, condescended to.
They're not garbage. They're not Nazis.
They're just regular people who get up and go to work every day and are trying to make a better life for their kids.
And they feel like they have been told to just shut up when they have complained
about the things that are hurting them in their own lives. I also feel like this election,
as we sit here and pour over this tonight, is something of an indictment of the political
information complex. I mean, we've been sitting around here for the last couple of weeks
and the story that was portrayed was not true. I mean, we were told
Puerto Rico was going to change the election. Liz Cheney, Nikki Haley voters, women lying to
their husbands. Before that, it was Tim Walz in the camo hats. Night after night after night,
we were told all these things and gimmicks were going to somehow push Harris over the line.
And we were just ignoring the fundamentals.
Inflation, people feeling like that they were barely able to tread water at best.
That was the fundamentals of the election.
And so I think that both parties should always look at the results of an election
and figure out what went right and what went wrong.
But I think for all of us who cover elections and talk about elections and do
this on a day-to-day basis, we have to figure out how to understand, talk to, and listen to the half
of the country that rose up tonight and said, we've had enough. I don't know who Scott Jennings is,
but I like this guy. And he goes toe-to-toe with Van Jones and David Axelrod and all of them on there.
But they were silent.
David Axelrod was sitting there knowing everything you're saying is true.
Yeah.
He's a smart political cookie, and he knew that Jennings was right.
Yeah, and David Axelrod, just right before Jennings said this, spouted off stuff.
Well, you know, Donald Trump won because America is still inherently racist.
Axelrod said that?
Yes.
So he's still blathering, but he's just toeing the party line.
He's got to explain.
It can't be because Kamala Harris was not.
How about the people are disgusted with the
people sitting there that's right that's exactly why well there were other things that were being
decided uh yeah so the next the next story uh is uh troubling to me cnn seven states vote to
protect abortion rights while efforts to expand access in florida and south
dakota fail i'll tell you here in florida there was a radical uh constitutional amendment on the
ballot it would have totally legalized all abortion in the state of florida it would have banned all regulation. Including parental consent.
Not only that, Doc.
The state legislature would have been prohibited by the Constitution from passing any laws
regulating abortion.
In other words, you could get an abortion at your hairdresser or your barber.
Well, the only difference is they're licensed rick barbers and hairdressers in florida are licensed no that's for cutting hair
yes but they could if that amendment had passed they could have opened up a side shop for abortion
right without control without control that's how radical it was. Yes. Now, what's really scary.
All right.
So in Florida, a constitutional amendment must get 60% of the vote to be ratified.
That's a high bar.
This abortion amendment got 58% of the votes.
That's right.
That means a lot of republicans voted for it
that's right you need to chew that understand it a lot of republic what was donald trump's vote
in the state what percentage i don't know we had to go back and look i forget what it was Was it around high 50s? Okay. 53, maybe 53%.
Okay.
I think it was around 53.
So a lot of Republicans voted, yes, let's completely legalize abortion in the state of Florida.
That thing almost passed.
It's 56% for Donald Trump here in Florida.
So that means a lot of trump voters
voted for abortion yes it's scary it's very scary we came that close and that
now the pro-abortion the pro-life people i'm sure are cheering today say hey we defeated it
yeah but the pro-death crowd they are elated that they got this close
yes that that that amendment will be back on the ballot in two years you can guarantee that yes
so where else we have uh arizona colorado new york maryland missouri montana and nevada passed Montana and Nevada passed pro-abortion amendments or laws.
Seven states voted for abortion.
And South Dakota, I believe, is the only state that I think, yes, South Dakota and Florida failed to pass it.
Your home state of Missouri.
Yes.
They legalized abortion.
Yes, in spite of an overwhelming conservative victory for Hawley, for the new governor and everything else.
So the conservatives voted for it.
Yes.
You know what this says?
We've lost that fight.
We have lost that fight.
Conservatives are pro-abortion now.
Yes, you got it.
I would tell you what they're really doing.
The voters ratified infanticide.
The voters in those seven states said, we want to kill our babies. We will make it a constitutional right that we have the right to murder our babies.
It means the voters themselves are wicked.
Yes.
The voters themselves are wicked.
They voted for death, death of children.
Now,
you're getting the preacher going in me now.
Because I'm going to tell you,
American people, you voting for abortion,
you voting to kill babies,
you're going to get the blood you're asking for.
And both sides actually
used... Let me finish that sentence because I don't
want some wacko leftist
out there to take that one clip.
I'm going to tell you, you voted for your own demise.
World War III is going to end with battles inside America in the 2030s.
You voted to kill God's babies.
God is going to allow your enemies to come inside your country and kill your babies and you.
That's what's coming.
Warfare on the soil of America.
Imagine 10 million Chinese troops in America.
How are you going to stop it?
For all we know, there's two or three million already here right
we don't know we know they're already here they came across the border in the past four years
all they need are their bayonets so when mr trump says people say many people say god spared my life so i can lead america to be great again
you have to lead america to be good again right and if we don't have national repentance
on a massive scale we're going to have massive judgment on the soil of the usa in the 2030s
what what does national repentance look like?
Every abortion clinic must be closed.
No, you can't have people voting to expand abortion.
If there's national repentance, every abortion clinic must close.
Every pornography distribution online, everything with pornography must close.
We've got to go down the list.
The drugs, the illegal drugs that are in this country, it must stop.
Why are there so many drugs in the country?
Because the people want drugs.
Yes.
Because they like it.
They like it. They like it.
So if you're going to have, you get these evangelicals who are involved in politics, okay?
But they're not involved in righteousness.
Yes.
And they're lying to the people.
They're saying we can vote our way to greatness no you have to kneel your way to greatness you have to kneel before the almighty holy god and
repent of your sins to bring about greatness in this land again well that would mean we'd
have to humble ourselves then rick yes and confess our wicked ways
and repent and turn from our wicked ways
but we don't believe we're wicked Rick
that's just it
they don't believe that they're wicked
because there are no preachers to tell them they're wicked
see you have to have some sermons
like sinners in the hands of an angry God
that produced an awakening.
That kind of preaching brings about an awakening.
But if people don't believe they're wicked,
they don't believe they have to repent.
And the hardest people to get them to believe that they're wicked
are people that go to church.
We had about 11 minutes.
I don't know if I'm going to show the rest of these abortion things.
I'm going to jump down to number 27.
The Dow Jones this morning jumped 1,300 points
as the news spread that Donald Trump would be be in the white house so obviously wall street
delight it today yes and it's maintained that number uh even until now the latest is that
dow's up uh 13 87. and i think i think trump media uh the truth social company i think they
jumped 16 this morning yes they did yes you'd been smart to buy stock in that
company a couple weeks ago when people were selling it because the media said trump was
going to lose and people started selling the stock the next one i want you to see is uh
gold price gold plunges after landslide election in america now don Now, don't get the wrong understanding about this.
Why would gold go down?
Stock market went up, gold went down.
This is a temporary sugar high.
I'm just, that's the way it is.
It's a temporary sugar high.
Price of gold went down because people were,
hey, Kamala Harris is not going to be in the white
house and the economy is not going to collapse and we're not going to have super high taxes and
inflation things are going to get better so we don't need to hedge i don't need a hedge i don't
need to store money in gold i can start buying stocks again good times are here again it's a short term sugar high when gold drops in price is the time to
buy okay you want to buy when gold is dropping why it's going to go back up yes you know why
there's going to be a crisis up ahead and when there's a crisis people run to And when there's a crisis, people run to gold. When there's instability, they run to gold. Right now, it's a sugar high.
Take advantage of the sugar high. The price of gold is
going down. Take advantage of it.
Guess what I'm going to suggest? They call GoldCo. That's right.
Give them a call. 844-960-GOLD.
844-960-GOLD. 844-960-GOLD.
Tell them you heard about Gold Co. on True News, the website truenewsforgold.com.
And ask them for your copy, your 2025 gold and silver kit.
They'll send it out to you free.
And ask them if you qualify for their instant 10%
match on silver. But this is the opportunity.
The price of gold is down. That's a good thing. It's a good
opportunity to make your move into gold
when the price is down. It's not going to stay down for a long time.
Why? Because there's a crisis up ahead.
This is just temporary. OK, it's a feel good thing.
People feeling good. Now, I never showed this video to you.
It happened a couple of weeks ago. But this is why you should have gold,
because the current secretary of the Treasury, Janet Yellen, was holding a press conference in Washington before flying off.
I think she was going to an IMF meeting, and she was in the process of talking about the U.S. dollar as the global reserve currency.
Folks, I didn't make this up.
This is not an ai generated video
it happened a couple weeks ago we just well and she was giving us an update on the status of the
u.s dollar at this particular conference right and it was the week of the bricks meeting yes in russia
watch what happened thank you col Colby Smith with the FT.
You've described calls for widespread tariffs as deeply misguided, and the IMF today has warned that such policies will dent global growth.
Can you elaborate more on the near-term economic impact of these policies and over a longer time horizon, how concerned are you about the potential impact of the dollar status as the world's reserve currency um let's say um serious about tariffs and the dollar status
i don't believe in omens but the Treasury Secretary is getting ready to talk about the status of the U.S. dollar.
And the seal of the U.S. Treasury fell off the podium.
I'll put the Gold Co. back up there.
That ought to motivate you to call Gold Co. 844-960-GOLD.
That's the best ad for Gold Co. I ever seen I am not kidding doc the the seal of the
United States Treasury fell off onto the floor while the Treasury secretary is talking about
the status of the U.S dollar while the bricksics nations were in russia talking about dethroning the u.s dollar
right yeah an omen that's a that's a clue right there that's a sign call goldco 844-960-GOLD
don't be affected by the the sugar high that's in wall street right now that's all it is
um we got about five minutes let's talk about world war three we'll have plenty of time talking
about world war three um jerusalem pulse uh benjamin netanyahu calls donald trump's election
victory the history's greatest comeback i'm not going to get into the details of all this stuff next one
jerusalem post does trump does trump's win make bombing iran's nuclear site likely now that's
what i want you to look at yes and this is in a jerusalem paper and there's an interview from the
jerusalem post with the former israeli ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren.
Let's listen to a clip of what he said about the possibility of bombing Iran now that Donald Trump has won.
What does a Trump win mean for Israel vis-a-vis Iran?
It means two things, Tova.
One is that the Iranians may conclude that they now have three months
between November and the swearing-in date in January
in which they can break out and create a nuclear weapon
and not necessarily expect an American military response.
Very perilous period for Israel.
On the other hand, and this is a big on the other hand, by contrast,
President Biden, who will now be beholden to nobody, have no electoral concerns,
may actually give Iran that military response or deal Iran that military response.
I think very significantly, President Biden has moved now six B-52 strategic bombers into the Middle East. Those bombers have
one purpose and one purpose only. It's not defensive. They're offensive. And they can
deliver from 50,000 feet in the air, that's higher than anything that Iran can reach,
30,000 pound bunker busting bombs. And if I were the Iranians, I wouldn't test Joe Biden.
So the next three months, extremely dangerous as far as war in the Middle East.
And that's coming from a former Israeli ambassador.
Israeli ambassador.
Okay.
So I can see this from several viewpoints.
Netanyahu thinking, I've got a window of opportunity.
There's basically nobody running the show in Washington right now.
I can attack Iran and get it over with before Donald Trump gets in the White House
because Donnie's told me he doesn't want to deal with war when he gets in the white house he wants to be focusing on the economy i've got three months to pulverize
iran iran's thinking the same thing we better get this over with before trump gets in the white
house right because if we push it too far he may get mad and pulverize us. So if we're going to attack Israel, we
better do it in the next three months. There's a window here between today and January 20th
that the Middle East could go up in flames.
Right. You know what this kind of reminds me of? Remember back in 1980, the transition
from Carter to Reagan?
Yes. Remember back in 1980, the transition from Carter to Reagan?
And I still remember sitting in our gym auditorium in high school in Brunswick, Missouri, and they brought the big TV out on the cart because the hostages were being freed.
Right.
Because Iran was afraid of Reagan. They were afraid of Reagan.
Right. So could we possibly see Trump do something along the same lines? That's what I'm saying. because Iran was afraid of Reagan.
So could we possibly see Trump do something along the same lines? This is what I'm saying. Iran knows Trump doesn't
want war, but he's not afraid of it. So they may be
thinking we've got to hit Israel now. Bibi Netanyahu
is thinking the same thing. And he's got a new scandal.
He's up to his ears and new scandals
right now we'll probably have to talk about it tomorrow but the other place to look at i want
to drop down to 34 this is his vestia news russian military expert sees signs of preparation of
the ukrainian army withdrawing from the cursed region of russia you know what that means
zielinski said game's up yes trump won get our troops out it's over what's the point in keeping
our troops inside russia there's no we're not going to get any support get them out of there
bring them home so this is the ripple effect that we're seeing already
but the so you're going to see the war slowing down in ukraine but ramping up but ramping up
in the middle east there's going to be a war in the middle east i mean there there really is isn't
there there is um we've got the north korean troops there uh there's a there's a lot well i mean in in in
uh in ukraine that's still a major problem okay uh but uh zielinski knows the jig is up the jig is up
okay and he's he's his troops are facing north koreans and now trump is going to pull the rug
out from under him so it's over for him.
He's got to cut a deal with the Russians.
All right.
That's coming up very, very soon.

Good morning and welcome to Morning Manna.
We're glad to have you with us.
This is a weekday Bible study sponsored by Faith and Values Fellowship in Vero Beach, Florida.
And we are working our way through the final chapters of the gospel according
to St. Matthew, or in the 26th chapter, and today we're looking at verses 17, 18, and
19.
So let's pray, and then we will begin our study of the Word of God.
Father God, thank you for this awesome, beautiful day. And we bless you
and praise you and give you glory and honor. Father, your sons and daughters from around the
world are gathering this very hour to be taught by your Holy Spirit. And so we invite the Holy
Spirit to take his seat at the head of the table and direct this class and teach all of us from your word.
In Jesus' name, amen.
Amen.
As Rick said, we are still in Matthew chapter 26, and I'll be reading verses 17 through 19 today.
I'm reading from the King James, if you follow along with me in your Bibles.
Verse 17, now the first day of the
Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus saying unto him, where wilt thou that we
prepare for thee to eat the Passover? And he said, go into the city to such a man and saith unto him,
the master saith, my time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at thy house with my disciples. And the disciples did as
Jesus had appointed them, and they made ready the Passover. Okay, three short and simple verses.
Verse 17, now on the first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus saying to him,
Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?
So this occurs on the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, which lasted for seven days.
And during the time, the Jews refrained from eating leavened bread as a commemoration of their hurried departure from Egypt.
So this marks the beginning of the Passover celebration.
So the first day, and Doc, you'll have to correct me if I get this wrong, as this is not my expertise.
The first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread corresponds to the 14th of Nisan on the Jewish calendar.
And so, although it's technically part of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, it's also the first day of the passover festival
right so the day this day that we're talking about is also known as the preparation of the passover
it precedes the feast of unleavened bread which again i said lasts for seven days and that would
go from the 15th to the 21st of nisan on the evening of the 13th of nisan jewish families
would meticulously search for and remove all leaven from their homes by candlelight in preparation for the Passover.
Yes.
The offering of the Passover lamb would occur on the 14th of Nisan
during the evening sacrifice at the temple, temple starting at approximately 1 30 p.m or or 12 30 p.m if the preparation fell on a friday
because they had to make allowance for the sabbath
so the passover meal would be celebrated after sunset on the 14th of Nisan, which is technically the
beginning of the 15th of Nisan. Because in ancient times, particularly among the Hebrew the Israelites, days started at sundown.
We measure, really, I think Westerners, we measure time at 6 a.m., you know, a day starts at 6 a.m.
But Westerners traditionally measure days starting at midnight.
In ancient times, they measured a day as starting at sundown right so the Passover meal would be eaten after
sundown which is still the 14th but it's going into the 15th of the day of nissan so killing the passover lamb
was a mandatory duty to be performed after the middle of the day and
the rabbis had specific guidelines in rituals
ordinarily the the passover lamb was slain in what's called the forecourt of the temple
in the afternoon before sunset
now so where was jesus and the disciples where were they staying well remember they we
we had the incident at sim Simon the leper's house.
That was over in Bethany.
Yes.
So, most likely, Jesus and the disciples were staying in Bethany.
Perhaps in the house of Simon the leper or Lazarus Martha and
Mary where they might have been camping in the Garden of Gethsemane they weren't
staying in Jerusalem why is too dangerous for Jesus Jesus. Jerusalem was hostile territory
for Jesus.
Although Bethany is only two miles away.
See, sometimes you can
greatly reduce your
exposure to danger by just
making a slight adjustment
to your whereabouts.
True.
Doesn't mean you have to go a thousand miles away so the question posed by the disciples reveals their
understanding that the Passover meal had to be prepared
and eaten in Jerusalem.
And that's mandated
in Deuteronomy 16.5.
That's why all Jews
would travel to Jerusalem
for Passover.
So the masters,
the teachers, the religious teachers, the masters the teachers the religious teachers the masters traditionally instructed
their servants to prepare the Passover meal it's your hey guys it's your job get the Passover meal
ready so Jesus as the head of the we could describe him as the head of the, we could describe him as the head of the disciples' household, is asked by the disciples, where do you want us to have Passover?
So they came to him, the master, and said, what's your what's your decision let us
know what do you want done so duck and yeah this is this next part maybe you
know more about it than I do I don't know very much at all. I hope you know more than me because my understanding is extremely limited. There's debate over the timing of when Jesus ate the
Passover. There's speculation that Jesus may have observed the Passover one day earlier
than the customary time. And people come to that conclusion based on
their interpretations of this this incident in john's gospel
um i don't know if you've ever encountered this this debate um you know i, I know you've taught on the debate about when Jesus was crucified, because that's another major area of contention. Which day?
Right.
So, there may have been the potential confusion over the timing of events,
in particular Jesus' observance of the Passover,
compared to the official celebration by the Jewish nation.
How do we explain it?
Well, I work backwards from it,
in that I'm of the opinion and persuasion that the crucifixion did not occur on Friday and the resurrection on Sunday.
I know that sounds like anathema.
That sounds like, oh, my gosh, doc.
But part of it's based on when the day begins.
As you mentioned before, the day begins in Jewish thought, Hebrew thought, begins at sundown.
And Jesus made it very clear in his teaching, and this is in all four Gospels, so it's not something just casual.
He said the only sign they'll be given to this generation is the sign of Jonah, where Jonah was in the fish three days and three nights.
And every time Jesus referenced his resurrection in any kind of time,
he said three days and three nights.
Yes.
And so there's no way you can get three days and three nights between Friday and Sunday.
There's just, you know, physics just doesn't work that way. So using the Passover calendar and the Feast of Unleavened Bread,
I'm of the persuasion that the Passover meal that Jesus observed was Tuesday night
and that the actual Passover occurred on Wednesday.
And he was crucified on Wednesday.
That's my opinion and persuasion there.
And there's some other events that take place between that day and his resurrection, and his resurrection occurs not on bright and early Sunday morning,
but actually occurred at the beginning of that day,
what we would consider Saturday evening.
That's right.
And so... That's the beginning of the Sabbath.
Right.
And so using that timeline there, that if the Passover meal was celebrated Tuesday night,
Christ was crucified on Wednesday, and his resurrection occurred sometime between sundown and the first watch on Saturday evening.
That fits three days and three nights.
I said that was the beginning of the Sabbath.
No, I meant that would be the beginning of the first day of the week.
Right.
So that's my... If we call it Sunday the week right so um so that's my call sunday
right right so that's the my opinion my persuasion i've preached on this a couple times and everything
so if we're to use that timeline my timeline what would be happening right now is that uh
the passover meal would be taking place on t Tuesday evening and there they would go
to get 70 and from there Jesus would be brought before the high priest and in
the kangaroo court that they held for him but that the that is trial before
Pilate would occur Wednesday morning on our timeline and he would be dead by three o'clock Wednesday afternoon so
so that if anyone wants more information on that just message me or whatever I'll be glad to send
it to you and my reasoning on that so he would have been dead Wednesday night to Thursday night
there's one day Thursday night to Friday night there's two days Friday night to Thursday night, there's one day. Thursday night to Friday night, there's two days.
Friday night to Saturday night is three days.
So that's where you get sundown.
So sundown, Saturday night, goes into the first day.
Right.
The first day of the week.
So he was resurrected on the first day of the week.
Right. But that doesn't mean what we consider Sunday morning.
Because in those ancient times, they didn't call it Sunday.
Okay.
But what we call Sunday, the first day of the week, would have started at sundown on what we call Saturday night. So when Mary and them encountered Jesus on the first day and the disciples on the first
day of the week, Jesus had already been resurrected for about 12 hours.
Yes.
So anyway, if you want information on that, I'll send it to you.
I don't want to distract from what we're studying.
Right, right.
But actually, it helps explain something else,
because early church history shows that the early Christians continued to rest on on the Sabbath what
we call Saturday but they worshipped on the first day of the week and and so a
lot of people are like well how can that make sense it makes sense if they rested
on what we call Saturday and it's Saturday night they rested on what we call saturday and it's saturday night
they held the what's called the agape feast it was a dinner a potluck supper
and people went to homes they had cell churches you're exactly right they went to homes they shared a dinner and then the pastor was called the president and he would deliver a
sermon and then they would have Holy Communion and everybody would go home
that was on a Saturday night right which was their first day of the week so it
all makes sense if you understand how time was observed in those ancient days okay so let's get to verse 18 jesus said he said
go into the city to a certain person and tell him the teacher says my time is at hand
i will keep the passover at your house with my disciples.
This is, to me, a fascinating verse.
He said, Jesus instructs his disciples, not all of them, I think it was probably two.
He instructs them to go into Jerusalem and find a specific man who's not named and give him instructions a specific thing what to say now if in other accounts of the gospel, we're told that this man would be holding a pitcher of water.
And that this pitcher of water would be a specific sign for identification.
So Matthew's account does not imply any miraculous intervention.
But I think it speaks of a prearranged agreement between Jesus and the unnamed person.
So just think about this.
The disciples have come to Jesus and said, Master, it's Passover time.
Where do you want to have a Passover meal?
And Jesus says, think about it.
He tells them to go into Jerusalem.
So they're still over in Bethany.
I want you to walk to Jerusalem.
It's about two miles.
And look for a man holding a pitcher of water.
And ask him this question. say this to this man my time is at hand i will keep the passover at your house with my disciples can you imagine
the two disciples looking at each other going
and what you know
what else Lord what's his name I'm not going to tell you well how are
we going to know who it is he he will have a pitcher of water in the entire
city of Jerusalem at Passover when every Jew in Judea and Israel are in Jerusalem,
you're supposed to find a man with a pitcher of water, and you don't know his name.
You don't know if his name is Thaddeus or Levi. You don't know anything.
You don't know what he looks like. All you know, he's got a picture of water.
And you're supposed to
say a specific thing to him.
Doc,
I believe Jesus
personally made
the arrangements with the man
and the two of them kept it a secret.
So, did Jesus know by the Spirit?
Oh, I'm seeing in my spirit.
There's going to be a man standing there with a pitcher of water.
And he's got an empty room.
He's the only person in all Jerusalem that didn't rent his room out on Airbnb.
It's this one guy.
He's got a picture.
Is that how it was?
Or did earlier, did Jesus himself personally meet with that man who was a disciple?
Perhaps a secret disciple in Jerusalem.
And did he make the arrangements with that man?
Did he say to that man, brother, on Passover,
I know you have this beautiful upper room in your house.
Your master has need of it.
I would like to eat the Passover meal in your upper room at your house and that man say of course master of course it would be an honor it would be a pleasure
and jesus say don't tell anybody it's too dangerous i've got to come in this into the city quietly you can't tell anybody
I'm going to be there nobody I'm not even going to tell my disciples why
because one of them is a devil he can't tell his disciples because Judas is a devil.
Judas would betray him.
So this is a secret location.
Only the man and Jesus knew that they would meet there to have a Passover meal.
And the man, Lord, I give you my word.
I won't tell anybody.
Well, how will your disciples know who I am?
If you're not going to tell them my name,
you're not going to tell them my address.
This is such a top secret.
How are they going to know?
What I envision is Jesus said,
you go down on the corner of 14th and an elm and you hold a pitcher of water at 3 p.m and i will have my men there at that moment
and they will be looking for a guy holding a pitcher of water
and they're going to ask you the secret phrase.
They're going to have the secret phrase.
What is it, Lord?
They're going to say to you, my time is at hand.
I will keep the Passover at your house.
If anybody else talks to you and says something,
if they don't say these words, they're not my disciples.
Yes.
If somebody says, what are you standing here with a pitcher
of water? Hey, you want
to sell that water?
Don't talk to them.
Only talk to the
ones who say, my time is at hand.
I will keep the Passover at your house
with my disciples. That's what I think
happened. Yeah.
And if I could add a couple layers in there,
there's two things in this verse 18 that kind of stand out.
First of all, even though Mark and Luke say that the guy's carrying a pitcher,
okay, I'll get to that in just a second.
Matthew here says, go into the city to such a man now in the Greek
that phrase such a man
implies that
the writer of the gospel
Matthew knew who this person was
but for whatever
reason chose not to
insert the name
it's possible
it's possible
I took it doc as as there is a specific man
right you don't need to know his name there is such a man and either way and
either way work but what's really unusual about this is men generally
didn't carry water women did right that's why i said it would be
an unusual thing people going hey brother what do you why are you standing there holding a pitcher
of water that's women's work right so yeah which helps make it easier for the disciples to find this guy.
Right.
So Jesus, he had a secret meeting, a secret meeting place, a secret password.
The secret password was, I will keep the Passover at your house.
But, you know, it didn't occur to me until you just said a little while ago, Rick, that the reason why Jesus had to keep this information on the down-low was
if Judas had known about this location prior,
he would have made arrangements to capture them at the Passover meal.
Yes, and then the institution of the Lord's Supper
would have been aborted.
Right.
And we know Judas was at the Passover meal.
But he didn't know where they were.
He didn't know where they were going
until he got there.
Right.
He was like, well, Lord, where's the meal?
Just follow me.
Come along, Judas.
Where are we going, Lord?
Let's come along.
Stop asking so many questions.
He didn't give Judas the opportunity to snitch on him.
He kept Judas in the dark.
Pretty smart, right?
Yes.
When you're dealing with the devil, you better be smarter than the devil.
Remember, the devil doesn't know everything.
He knows a lot.
Don't help him.
When you're dealing with the devil in your presence, don't help him by giving them more information than they have.
Boy, that'll preach.
So, the use of the present tense, I observe the Passover.
To me, it implies this is an ongoing arrangement.
It's not a prophecy of future observation of Passover.
At this time, in this age, I observe the Passover.
Look, this is, again, I've said this before I have a problem with modern-day Christians particularly the Christian Zionists are the ones that do this it's become a trend in the past 10
15 years for Christians to hold Passover meals I don't have a problem with doing it
if you're doing it for educational purposes.
There's nothing wrong with that.
We'll say, okay, this is what a Passover meal looked like.
Here's the lamb.
Here's the bitter herbs.
This is how it is.
This is what it looked like. This is what it looked like.
This is what it tasted like.
Nothing wrong with that.
But if you're doing a Passover meal
because you believe it is a religious requirement,
then you don't understand the gospel.
Because the Passover meal
was replaced by the Lord's Supper.
So there's a large upper room furnished and prepared according to Mark and Luke.
They give us more details than Matthew.
Remember, Matthew is a bean counter. He's a cpa he's a tax collector
mark and luke give us more details
they tell us this is a large upper room it's furnished it's prepared
that tells me that the man who owned the property was fully aware of what jesus was going to do with
it and he made sure the upper room was spotless it was well furnished the master
jesus christ was coming to this man's house for passover
and yet the owner of the house wasn't invited to participate Jesus Christ was coming to this man's house for Passover.
And yet the owner of the house wasn't invited to participate.
But it was his honor, his pleasure, his privilege to provide that upper room.
You think about a dog after the resurrection, that man for the rest of his life had that pleasant thought.
My Lord.
My Lord ate his last Passover meal.
My Lord started the first communion Holy Eucharist meal in my house. That sweet aroma stayed with that man the rest of his life.
Can you imagine the anointing that was in that room?
So it was, I think there was a prior agreement between jesus and the owner of the house
i think jesus said hey please make make sure everything's nice and the man said
yes jesus don't worry about it the best the best will be there the best pillows
everything the candles everything it will be it will be
the best
you've ever had
carpets
couches
for reclining
he furnished
the room
for the king
and tell him
the teacher says my time is at hand but the Greek term for time can
be understood as denoting affliction and calamity so Jesus singing tell him the
teacher says my the time of my calamity is here.
You know what I'm talking about.
See, I think the man, I think Jesus told the man, when I come to Jerusalem at Passover, the Jews are going to kill me.
You can see that man putting his head on Jesus' shoulder and crying,
saying, no, Lord, please, please,
don't tell me this is going to happen.
And Jesus saying, it must happen.
Be calm. It must happen.
This man knew.
He knew the solemn occasion that was going to happen in his house, which is why he stayed out of it.
Right.
It was special.
It was sacred.
It was, Jesus said, I'd like to invite you, but this is my last meal with my closest disciples. I want it to be just them and me.
I'm just imagining. You know, they had real conversations. Jesus said more words than are
written in the Bible. You know, a lot of people think the only words he ever spoke were the ones that are in red. Yeah.
He had conversations all day long.
And so you imagine, what probably did he say?
So this statement, my time is at hand, underscores the gravity of the situation,
the significance of the events that are about to unfold.
And to me, it implies that this man had some awareness of the seriousness of the crisis Jesus would face.
Right.
And if that's so, then I think Jesus confided in him that the Jews would kill him and therefore the yeah go ahead oh I was gonna say one
tradition out there says that the home belonged to Joseph of Arimathea that he
was they had a number of homes a number of furnishing you know uh buildings in jerusalem
uh there's nothing in the scripture that says that that's just uh one of the traditions out
there uh but it would fit in the sense that we know that jesus and uh joseph of arimathea had
extended conversations.
You know, we also know that he was concerned about his reputation among the Jewish leaders as well, even though he was an admirer of Jesus.
So it fits the narrative, but there's nothing in the Scripture that says,
no, that would not belong to Joseph.
But it certainly fits the description and everything that goes along with it.
You know, if Jesus confided in this man days earlier, could have been weeks earlier, we don't know, when he met with this man.
Look, it means Jesus got away from the disciples long enough to make a secret deal.
He made this arrangement without the disciples aware.
So he slipped away long enough to get this done.
I don't think he went into Jerusalem, so maybe this man was in Bethany.
Right.
Maybe Jesus sent word to this man.
He already knew who he was going to choose.
Maybe he sent word to this man.
Maybe a messenger went into Jerusalem and said,
Jesus would like to meet you in the city park tomorrow in Bethany at noontime. But if the man knew that the Jews were going to crucify Jesus,
I think that means he comprehended the deep seriousness of his responsibility
to be in the correct location at the correct time with the water pitcher
there was no way he was going to forget about it and go oh
i was supposed to be on the corner i forgot about it I'm so busy there was no way he was gonna miss this why because he knew he
knew the significance of it the last thing I want to say about him is we don't know his name but we will meet him someday. Yes.
Someday in New Jerusalem Jesus is going to bring this man out
in front of all the saints and say
and now this is the man
who had the water pitcher
who owned the upper room.
We're going to know who he is.
We're going to spend eternity with him
he just didn't get his name in the bible
for whatever reason
the Holy Spirit
chose not to identify him
but
the testimony to him
was his willingness to give the best of what he had to the Lord and to fulfill his obligation.
That's the testimony to this man's life.
That speaks more than his name.
To me, Jesus would say to us, you want to know his name?
Hey, call him faithful. Call him trustworthy. Call him dependable. Those are names I call him.
Verse 19, the disciples did as Jesus commanded them, and they prepared the Passover.
Seven of the most important words you will ever read in the Bible.
The disciples did as Jesus commanded them.
They followed the instructions.
Followed the instruction.
They promptly followed their master's instruction without delay,
without grumbling,
without losing focus,
without mission creep,
without changing his words.
You know what mission creep is?
It's a military term.
Commander gives a soldier a mission.
The soldier promptly departs to carry out the mission.
But along the way, in his his own mind he starts adding to it
and he starts the mission starts creeping in directions the commander never intended it to go
right it's enlarged it gets bigger
it's it's a it's a problem that every organization faces. And you constantly
got to pull back and go, hey, what's our mission? Yeah, these other projects are good, but it's
not our mission. You're always going to have somebody say, well, it should be your mission.
It's good. No, the master said do this.
The commander said do this.
We just had this discussion yesterday in a management meeting.
We've got to jettison some things that are part of mission creep.
They're using up resources and time distracting our attention here's what's working
so these seven words the disciples did as jesus commanded them insert your name in there
and ted did as Jesus commanded him,
and Sarah did as Jesus commanded her.
Can you say the same thing about yourself?
When Jesus gives you an instruction,
do you promptly carry it out and the same thing applies in employment when your employer gives you instruction
do you promptly carry it out or do you grumble do you delay do you lose focus do you forget do you change his words you get halfway down the hallway
and you've already changed what he said in your mind what you do write it down
write it down then you don't forget and you don't change.
And don't gripe and complain.
Just go get it done.
Your employer doesn't have to tell you why he wants it done.
He has a reason or he wouldn't tell you.
That's all you need to know.
He has a reason.
He wants it done and jesus had a reason for them to go and speak these words he had already made the arrangements for the the upper room yes whether it was supernaturally or naturally either one
the command was in place that's right it was done so I think this this assignment
was carried out by two disciples all right I don't see you know twin told men
going looking for a guy with a picture no uh luke tells us it was peter and john so
yeah so it's two all right so it's two just peter and john
um they inspected the room and i believe that again the owner already had it prepared
he knew jesus was coming and he knew when he was coming.
Probably Peter and John said, would you mind showing us the room?
We just want to make sure that it's the way our master would like it.
The owner says, sure, I've already taken care of it, but come on, I'll take you to the room can you see them going up the steps opening a door
going into this upper room and they're looking around going oh this is awesome
i could see a painting of this room
someday there will be a painting and in almost every church will have a painting of this room
and these tables and the 12 of us sitting here with our master no they didn't think like that
but that's what happened except they weren't sitting they were reclining
they're reclining so da Vinci wasn't perfect no because he was Western. Yes. Okay.
So it was most likely in the style of a Roman triclinium,
where the tables are arranged in a way with benches covered with cushions.
People would recline slouches at dinner it was it was okay to eat and then lean back and rest yes imagine just being relaxed of course the the the two disciples made sure that all the necessary ingredients of the Passover meal would be there.
The lamb, the unleavened bread, the bitter herbs, the wine, the sweet fruits.
They didn't use DoorDash.
But they had it delivered somebody delivered it they
they didn't go get it but they made arrangements it would be delivered they They placed an order for a Passover meal enough for 13 men, seating for 13.
Somebody delivered the meal.
So, you know, we kind of talked about this earlier, you know, the Passover lamb was slain
in the temple court by a priest, according to the traditions.
The blood of the lamb was poured by the altar.
After the lamb was prepared, then it was roasted, and the other elements of the meal, the bitter herbs,
the sauce, the unleavened bread, would also be prepared.
And as sundown, sunset approached, everything would be ready for Jesus and his disciples
to show up and partake in the Passover supper.
They didn't get there and
sit and wait for hours and go,
wonder what happened to DoorDash.
You better text
them and ask them what happened to the meal.
We already paid for this.
We paid for
the deluxe package.
Enough for 13 men. And you've got to know, Rick, uxe package, enough for 13 men.
And you've got to know, Rick,
just based on our joint experiences in Jordan and the Middle East,
that it was a lavish spread.
You've got to know that Rick and I,
we've traveled to Jordan several times,
and he's traveled more than I have,
but I've always been
impressed whether you're eating in someone's home or you're eating in a restaurant man they're gonna
feed you they are they are gonna feed more food than you can handle okay the best food in the
world i mean and uh they they spare no uh they spared no expense in their hospitality.
Do you have enough?
Can I get you some more bread?
What do you need?
What do you need in order to make this a pleasant experience for you?
Do you enjoy this?
Do you have enough?
If our friend here in the class, John Mark, was asked that question, he would say,
do you have any mansef?
Mansef is the meal he lives by, I know.
Because when I've been with him, that's the thing that we eat three times a day.
We eat mansef.
He eats mansef like i eat pasta you know uh mansef is a meal made with a lamb
and yogurt and uh rice it's it's kind of the meat and potatoes meal of jordan right
uh so the bottom line is the room was meticulously prepared. Yes.
It was prepared for a sacred event.
The Last Supper.
And during that last Passover supper,
Jesus transformed the Passover meal
into the new covenant Eucharist meal.
The great Thanksgiving feast,
the Lord's Supper, Holy Communion,
whatever your church calls it.
It's all the same.
So on that night, he instituted the Eucharist,
the Lord's Supper,
with the bread and the wine representing his flesh and blood.
And that's why on this Friday, as we do every Friday, we will commemorate that event.
We will remember it. We will hold that dinner again.
The dinner that we're talking about right now, you know, church traditions, not in the Bible, but church tradition.
The ancient churches claimed that that upper room was the same upper room where there was the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost.
Which would make sense. Do you have any thoughts about that, Doc?
No, I agree with that. I think that, you know, the whole idea of us celebrating the Lord's Supper in remembrance of Him,
when we go through this narrative over the next couple of days and everything,
I think people are really going to get a much deeper understanding of the Lord's intention
in using this as a memorial, as a remembrance of Him.
But it's more than a memorial. It's more than a remembrance.
You know, you and I both grew up in Protestant churches, Rick, and we were told
this is a remembrance. Well, yeah, the scripture does say that,
but really, if you really get into the scripture, this is my
body. This is my blood.
Present tense. It's present tense.
So...
And we'll get more into that over the next couple
days, and I hope that people
will keep an open mind on
things, because it's a challenge
to a lot of Protestant thinking,
to think in those terms.
Right. Okay, so
that's it for today. We'll pick up
at verse 20 tomorrow.
And then by Friday, we'll be studying the verses that pertain to the Lord's Supper.
And that will be on the same day that we will participate in Holy Communion.
So I'm looking forward
to the next couple of days.
This is
one of the most important
groups
of scriptures that you can read.
what we're studying is
there are
two ordinances, two
sacraments in the church, baptism and communion.
And so what we're studying now this week is the moment that the communion sacrament was established.
And that's why this is so important to take our time, understand the things that were taking place that night.
That's it for me, Doc.
We'll sign off and we'll be back here tomorrow.
Rick, thank you so much.
And I just want to tell everybody that the next couple of days of teaching, if you've never had an in-depth study on the Lord's Supper uh do your very best if you can't be with us live listen to the replays on
faithinvalues.com because i guarantee you you will gain some significant insight in uh rick's teaching
on uh the lord's supper you will not regret it so on that note yeah on that note uh we've got news
that we have to report on today that Rick and I have to get ready for.
God bless you. We love you. And we'll see you on the Thursday edition of Morning Manor.
