Starting point is 00:00:00 The following program is made possible by the faithful prayers and financial support of listeners just like you. To find out how you can help, visit www.truenews.com. This is True News, the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth, so help us God. I'm Rick Wiles. This is New World Tech Week on True News. We are providing you with exclusive video highlights from last week's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Mobile World Congress is the global conference of the mobile phone industry. It was at Mobile World Congress 2019 that Doc and Matt and I witnessed on stage the microchipping of a human being and the electronic transfer of money
Starting point is 00:01:04 from one bank account to another using an implanted microchip. If you want to know what technocrats are planning to introduce to the world over the next decade, Mobile World Congress is one of the best conferences to attend. Today we will watch part two of New Tech Order. Doc has details about who and what we will see and hear today. Well, thanks, Rick. Well, humanizing technology into everyday life will open new avenues for industries and consumers to embrace change.
Starting point is 00:01:42 At least that's what the mobile and tech companies believe and desire to make happen. A seamless interchange between humanity and technology. The drivers behind this will be leaps in artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies, and the metaverse. A new future is on the horizon, one that's very different from what the world expected but led by technology. Today is part two of the first keynote address of this year's Mobile World Congress called New Tech Order. You'll be hearing from Allison Kirby, CEO of Talia Company, the leading communications provider in the Nordics and the Baltics, who says this new tech order will be the driving force in
Starting point is 00:02:15 the next five years to manage humanity's response to climate change, where your phone will grade you on your carbon footprint, for good or bad. You also hear from leaders of several Chinese telecommunications giants, where they showcase their total state surveillance through the implementation of universal mobile coverage of its one-plus-billion population. Is this the future for America? Part two will begin immediately after this urgent announcement from Heaven's Harvest. Being prepared means thinking long-term. Yes, you may have your
Starting point is 00:02:52 immediate food and water needs supplied, but what happens if there's a long-term crisis or supply chain issues last months or even years? Do you have a long-term food solution? Right now, our good friends at Heaven's Harvest are offering their premier heirloom vegetable seed kit for the affordable price of only $139.99. Now these are not your standard off-the-shelf retail seeds. These are non-hybrid, open-pollinated, non-GMO seeds. Heaven's Harvest offers 39 different varieties, all specially selected from high-quality, established suppliers. And these heirloom seeds are meant for the long haul, having a 10-year shelf life.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Each seed selection is packaged in durable, resealable Mylar foil bags. Starting point is 00:04:18 Call today 1-800-516-4773. That's 1-800-516-4773. Or visit Heavensarvest.com. I want to tell you about Final Day before we get into the subject of today's true news from Mobile World Congress. Final Day is my book about the second coming of Christ. This is not a book about the last days. It's a book about the last day. What goes down on the day Jesus Christ returns? That's what I attempted to describe in this book, the 10 characteristics of the Lord's second coming. And all I can tell you is it will change your thinking about the second coming of Jesus Christ. It will explode in your mind like a truth bomb. It will blow away misconceptions and false doctrines that have been planted there over the years by various churches you've attended or TV programs you've watched or religious radio shows you've listened to.
Starting point is 00:05:20 This is a completely different viewpoint. Actually, it's actually a very traditional viewpoint. It's only new to American evangelical Christian Zionists. To everybody else, it's what the gospel has always been. There's nothing radically new in it. It's just very different to those who grew up in churches where they taught the secret rapture and a third temple in Israel and all that kind of stuff. Those are the people that will find this book either very refreshing or they will find it very difficult to believe what I'm saying here,
Starting point is 00:06:01 simply because they'll have to wrestle with the doctrines that are inside their mind. But I provide a lot of scripture to back up what I'm saying, and the scriptures speak for themselves. I would love you to have this book and read it. It is $19.95 plus shipping. For a gift of $100, I will personally autograph it and send it out to you. Nobody on my staff signs my name. It's not a rubber stamp. I personally do it. And you can ask anybody here on the staff. There are stacks of books on my desk in my office, and I sign them in the morning. In fact, I'm going to do a couple right now. And the first one goes to Nathan. Nathan, thank you so much for supporting us.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Nathan, your gift helps keep True News going. This book, I have not kept a dollar for myself out of this book. And we've sold thousands and thousands and thousands of copies of this book but i've not kept anything for myself i have put it all into this ministry and so your hundred dollars supports true news nathan there is your copy it will be going out to you right away. The next one is to Sergey. Sergey, appreciate you.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Thank you so much. The only thing I ever, I don't get tired of signing my name. The only thing, the only difficulties when I do a lot of them, I start having trouble making the R's. I have to take a, I don't know what it is. I have to slow down on making the R in Rick. But it's only after I've signed a lot of them. So if you get a sloppy R, please forgive me. All right. It was just, I've been signing a lot of them. Sergey, that's yours. Thank you so much. We will get it in the mail to you right away.
Starting point is 00:08:12 The next one, Robert. Robert, thank you so much. You got a good R in this one, Robert. All right, Robert. Thank you. God bless bless you thank you very much all right what are we going to read here today i'm going to read just a a portion from one of the chapters yesterday i read from chapter one let's go to chapter two his second coming shall be sudden and unexpected Chapter 2, His Second Coming Shall Be Sudden and Unexpected. It opens up talking about highway signs, that when we travel, we pay attention to the signs. And the closer we get to our destination, the more frequent the highway signs appear, telling you that your exit is ahead. And so on page 73, it says,
Starting point is 00:09:08 One of the highway signs Jesus told us to anticipate is the world returning to its wicked, rebellious state, as in the days of Noah before the great flood. Lascivious sexual behavior, debauchery, homosexuality, sorcery, thievery, lying, violence, and wanton bloodshed had become the norm in human society like today's Chicago, New York City, Manila, and Buenos Aires. Adam's fall in the Garden of Eden produced a harvest of wickedness, sin, rebellion, and bloodshed.
Starting point is 00:09:39 Humankind's compulsion to sin grieved God so much that he regretted the day he made Adam. And then I quoted Genesis chapter 6, verses 5 through 8. Jesus recounted to his disciples what went down that day more than 2,300 years earlier. He would know. He was there to supervise the great flood. He said people were partying, getting drunk, feasting, and getting married right up to the day Noah stepped into the ark. It was just another day in Sin City. Humans lived in a state of unrestrained and rampant sinfulness for over a thousand years after Adam's fall in the garden. Rebellion against God became a way of life. The garden story
Starting point is 00:10:25 was old news. People had moved on. Humans no longer feared the God who evicted their ancestors from the Garden of Eden. Indeed, humans no longer thought about God. He was irrelevant to their daily lives. Then it happened. Rebellious humanity didn't see it coming. Bam! God reentered humanity's dimensions of time, space, and matter. He made a big statement to humans who arrogantly rebelled against their divine maker. The great flood story is not a parable. It is not an ancient fable, nor is it folklore. It is history. Critics ask, where is the evidence of a worldwide flood? Well, have they ever seen the Pacific or Atlantic oceans? How do they think that much water got there? And have they seen the submerged cities in Greece and Egypt? Why are those ancient cities
Starting point is 00:11:22 still submerged underwater? Why have archaeologists discovered numerous dinosaur mass burial sites around the world? Could it be that dinosaurs were swept away by massive walls of water in a sudden worldwide flood? Moses, the author of the book of Genesis, told us when the deluge started. In Genesis 7 verse 11, the Hebrew patriarch wrote, in the 600th year of Noah's life, in the second month, the 17th day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up and the windows of heaven were open. Noah preached God's warning for over 100 years, but only his family believed him. Unbeknownst to planet Earth's lustful, violent inhabitants, the judge of the universe rendered a verdict in
Starting point is 00:12:12 heaven's court. His gavel came down mightily with a guilty verdict. The judge decreed the punishment was death by drowning. Angels did not notify Earth's inhabitants that they had been found guilty in heaven's court, nor did they inform the worldwide human population of its appointment with sudden death. In God's kingdom, the guilty have no rights. The Lord had no obligation to tell them the date of their execution because Noah warned the people for over a century, but they mocked the preacher of righteousness. Suddenly, it was God's turn to mock the mockers.
Starting point is 00:12:50 That's from chapter 2 of Final Day, His return, the second coming of Jesus Christ shall be sudden and unexpected. Go to truenews.com, click the banner, Final Day, and get your book ordered, and I'd be glad to autograph it for you. Again, the funds go to support the ministry of True News. God bless.
Starting point is 00:13:12 I'll be back tomorrow. And now I would like to introduce to you a personal friend and a fellow Swede, maybe with a little bit of a funny accent. But anyway, Alison Körpi of Telia. Alison. Good morning, everyone, and thank you, Mats. Yes, I'm Alison, and my slides are even less fancy. I am so proud to live and work in one of the most digitalised, open and equal regions in the world, the Nordics and the Baltics. As a company, we have continuously enabled technology to do good things for our region and beyond and positive things for our society and the planet.
Starting point is 00:14:08 We call it reinventing better. That's our purpose. We are Telia. When society closed down, we kept it open. When people couldn't meet, we put them in touch. When the world was separated, we brought it closer. That's our legacy. That's what we do. For 167 years we've been part in shaping one of the world's most connected regions. The capital of
Starting point is 00:14:57 tech, the cradle of digital. A place of openness, solidarity and innovation. And we've been there. For the creators, the lovers, winners, losers, fighters, doers. For those who miss someone, for those who care and those in need. For better and for worse. We've been there for society to evolve and develop. In the big and in the small. When times are tough and when times are good.
Starting point is 00:15:41 Now we're facing a new dawn, a new normal. The world as we know it has changed. When our customers, the schools, the companies, the small business and the hospitals are starting over. We'll be there and we'll do what it takes. Humble to the challenge, proud of our contribution, and always confident of our success. We are Telia. We actually recorded this movie just under two years ago when I started at Telia in the midst of the pandemic. And I never imagined that it would be even more relevant today. In fact even last week I didn't think it was going to be relevant but it is because of Covid, geopolitical reasons and a war on our
Starting point is 00:16:38 doorstep. I feel it has never been as important for our industry to come together as it is here this week. Over the next few minutes I'd like to share with you why the Nordics and Baltics continues to be an exceptional region to be in. Some of the key factors that will determine our industry's direction of travel with real live examples and how Telia's mission, our purpose of reinventing better for every stakeholder will enable Telia and our customers to unleash connectivity to build better societies. So why are the Nordics and the Baltics the cradle of mobile and a digital hothouse for technology? Well, it all started 40 years ago when maths didn't have a beard, when Telia and Ericsson actually launched 1G or the Nordic Mobile Telephony.
Starting point is 00:17:40 Four years later, it became the world's largest mobile network with 110 000 subscribers and you fast forward to today you find an industry thanks to us serving more than 5 billion subscribers and generating around 4 trillion dollars in economic value telco know-how in our region is unrivalled thanks to the outstanding quality and innovation of our business partners, in particular Nokia and Ericsson. Our networks, fixed and mobile, are built upon their wizardry and decades of collaborative development and long-term partnership. The citizens in our region are also tech wizards. When you look at the global rankings of the region, it's consistently at the top when it comes to digital skills,
Starting point is 00:18:37 number of ICT graduates or share of employment in the ICT sector. It is the result in part of government support and government encouragement, such as the Swedish subsidised home computer programme in the 90s, which spread IT competence to the whole population, creating a generation of digitally literate citizens, including my husband's 103-year-old grandmother who did her own shopping online during the pandemic. One consequence of living and working in such a digitally advanced region is that connectivity is pretty much a birthright. It therefore drives expectation, it fuels innovation and ensures demand is strong for our digital services.
Starting point is 00:19:29 It's why Volvo Construction Equipment doesn't just make any old forestry equipment, they make some of the most advanced IoT connected machinery using our Telia technology. And it's why Sweden is described as a unicorn factory with more tech driven unicorns per capita than any other region in the world outside of Silicon Valley. Just look at the number of IPOs in the Nordics. 300 percent increase in listings on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 2021, the same level as London. Many of these impressive new businesses are either digitally driven or are innovating in the sustainability space, like in green steel or now in battery technology. Intelligent innovation and automation is now
Starting point is 00:20:28 happening everywhere and who would have imagined that heavy industry and infrastructure would now be at the cutting edge of sustainable tech. It is this region that pushes us at Telia to continuously be better at what we do, to keep developing our digital infrastructure, to provide high-speed connectivity for everyone and everything, and to deliver the digital experiences of tomorrow. And we are super excited about the opportunities of the next phase of digitalization. Up to now, digitalization and connectivity has mainly disrupted slow-to-act players and industries without really altering the core of the existing enterprise.
Starting point is 00:21:20 However, as we see hyper-automation connecting factory robots and data networks to marketing and business process systems, connected technology will become a means for doing things in totally new ways. Tomorrow's connected enterprises will need to be agile and open to the challenges and opportunities of this new era of digitalisation. And let me share some of the key trends that we foresee. First, as connectivity, IoT, data, analytics and insight permeate every aspect of an organisation. Enterprises will transition from being, for example, a
Starting point is 00:22:07 machine manufacturer to also becoming an industrial data platform. When every process in an ecosystem is automated and optimised, every point of connectivity will become business critical, and no cog in the data-generating machinery can afford to stand still. Chimera is a Finnish manufacturer of industrial gearboxes and drives, and when your kit turns the machines that runs paper mills, metal foundries and cement factories, downtime due to unplanned maintenance is expensive, that runs paper mills, metal foundries and cement factories, downtime due to unplanned maintenance is expensive and it's very often environmentally reductive. Chimera's Guard Gear 4.0 is a box of tricks
Starting point is 00:22:56 that monitors the performance of their machines, identifying maintenance before it's needed and sending that data back to their headquarters via an embedded Telia SIM. Our global IoT connectivity solution takes care of everything, including compliance with roaming regulations, local technical integration. It's a plug-and-play solution that can be applied anywhere and puts Telia now at the heart of a much-needed trusted data ecosystem. This demonstrates how connectivity is unleashing opportunities for Telia across industries not known for being digitally driven. Mining is another example that we're advancing in very much and how they're taking
Starting point is 00:23:46 teleist technologies around the world. And as we are with Chimera, we will be there to help every enterprise partner to control, analyse and monetise the new and growing data they harvest. Which brings me to the next key trend. When AI and other ecosystems of information combine, complexity and vulnerabilities clearly multiply, making security and reliability even more vital. With the adoption of cloud, remote working and globally distributed supply chains, enterprises face a dilemma. They can either build zero trust architectures where access must always be verified and network segmented to expose only what's relevant, very complex to control, or they can find the solution in the enduring and trusted partnerships
Starting point is 00:24:42 like the ones I mentioned we have with Ericsson and Nokia and that our customers have with us. This trust becomes even more important for organisations seeking solutions around cybersecurity, identity, fraud and payments. Take our partnership with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency. We are providing advanced data services and access to our radio network to the emergency services. The coverage and capacity of our networks will drastically improve the outcomes for Swedish citizens with benefits for health and safety.
Starting point is 00:25:21 Imagine the real-life impact that a drone or an unmanned device can have, for example, in fire rescue operation. Owning and operating your own network infrastructure, much like energy infrastructure, will be vitally important for such services and for being at the heart of any trusted ecosystem. After all, who would dare to outsource mission-critical services to unknown middlemen or companies with an uncertain ownership these days? So as every point of connectivity becomes business-critical or mission-critical, those who own their infrastructure and are in it for the long term will have a competitive edge. The third strategic opportunity we foresee is around sustainability. The race to net zero
Starting point is 00:26:15 will be one of the most important catalysts for intelligent optimisation in the coming decade. And I'm sure, as you'll hear from Pekka at Nokia later, he likes to say, there is no green without digital. Net zero requires the fastest transition in the history of business. And to keep up, businesses must put sustainability at the heart of their strategy and radically accelerate innovation when it comes to resource efficiency. Let me explain. Well, the first gains are obvious and come from using technology to improve existing operations by optimising the capacity of electricity grids, monitoring conditions of machinery and eliminating wastage from, for example, leaky pipes.
Starting point is 00:27:03 However, the greatest gains will require a more holistic approach to our business models. If the process of design to end-of-life disposal becomes more collaborative from the outset, we will create very different products in very different ways. Product life cycles will be longer, circularity will be embedded, capacity will be better utilised and wasted resources will be cut to a minimum. The partners that businesses choose to help get them to net zero should be those whose purpose or North Star also integrates sustainability. As you'd expect, sustainability is inherent in everything we do at Telia and whilst we're far from perfect and there's still much more to be done we are determined to do it and let me give
Starting point is 00:27:53 you a couple of real live examples that are underway in our business every day an average Telia customer generates more than 400alling events as phones move between cell towers. A few years ago, we launched a service that used those anonymised and aggregated data points and extrapolated them into comprehensive nationwide data on crowd movements and travel. This service has been unexpectedly useful for the authorities during the pandemic to assess the spread of COVID linked to movement and the adherence to government guidelines. We're now extending this service further by providing travel emission insights to help city governments have a more data-driven approach to green transport solutions and give them practical tools to reduce their carbon emissions.
Starting point is 00:28:46 These insights chart the different types of travel between locations and identify which ones generate the most impact. As a result, you can quickly see how effective a new bike lane or a new public transport route can have and be in reducing emissions. Another example is a smart battery energy storage system pilot by a Swedish startup called Polarium. Energy storage for telecom networks has traditionally been used exclusively for backup during power outages.
Starting point is 00:29:23 We can now use that battery capacity when demand and prices for electricity are high and charge the batteries when demand and prices are low. Our expectation is that this will help to optimise network energy usage, reduce electricity costs and contribute to a more resilient electricity infrastructure. And we're now also working with the transmission system operator to see how we can participate in the frequency market, feeding energy back into the grid during outages and frequency deviations. As our energy and digital infrastructures converge, which I believe they will, our ambition is to reinvent energy. So the work we're doing with Polarium and in our own Helsinki Data Centre are just the first initiatives.
Starting point is 00:30:17 But sustainability is about much more than the race to zero. It's also about inclusion, privacy, fairness, integrity and ethics. It's about doing the right thing. It's about helping the societies you operate in thrive in a good way and ensuring the partners you choose operate with the same standards as your own. That's why our Baltic operations in particular have thrived since becoming a part of our region and our company in the early 90s. Estonia is in fact Europe's most digitalised society and Telia is proud to have helped make it so. So despite the immediate
Starting point is 00:31:01 challenges we face, I am optimistic about the future of our industry. After a period where telcos have been undervalued and even value destructive for their owners, I see the tide shifting. The digital infrastructure that we develop, the trusted nature of our business model and the enabling service that we provide are increasingly important for customers, governments and societies alike. And I do hope that just as Telia is reinventing better, regulators are ready to reinvent better regulation and allow a fairer flow of value across our ecosystem, recognising the role we play and the benefits that we create for our societies. Working collaboratively as an industry and with regulators, we do have an opportunity to be the great tech enabler
Starting point is 00:32:02 and to build those trusted ecosystems of the future that we all deserve. Now, more than ever, we are mission critical. So let's together reinvent better. And thank you for having me here today. Thank you. Thank you, Alison, despite the funny Swedish accent. You showed us some great examples on how we can act now to address some of our greatest challenges.
Starting point is 00:32:33 So thank you again, Alison. Now for the next and the last three sets of videos, we will see short videos from colleagues in the world's largest market, namely China. So first out, I would like to welcome Mr. Yang Ji of China Mobile.
