The Pentagon's narrative about the mysterious objects flying over America
continues to change day to day. Are the folks in Northern Virginia confused or are they deliberately
confusing us? Let's start with a Wall Street Journal report. As mystery objects get shot down,
U.S. sets up new task force on UFOs.
They're no longer balloons.
They're objects.
And now we have a UFO task force in the Pentagon.
Led by none other than National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
And so that's been set up now.
And that new UFO task force is made up of elements of people from the Pentagon, the FAA, the Department of Homeland Security, a bunch of other government agencies.
So that's the answer now.
Let's set up a committee to look at these objects.
And the story is shifting around here.
Every day.
Every day it has changed.
And we're going to show you how it's changed again today.
But last night, somebody sent me, somebody texted me a video.
It was a news clip.
And I forget which news network it was.
But there were three or four news guys, talking heads sitting there talking about,
you know, are these UFOs?
What are they?
And the one guy said something that stuck with me.
He said, you know what really bothers me?
This is happening the same way every sci-fi movie starts out.
He's right about that, isn't he? He was serious about it.
He said, we're just sitting here and we're going along with it,
but it's exactly what happens in every sci-fi movie.
Then one day the public wakes up and realizes
they've been invaded by aliens.
Okay?
Doc, what hit me last night is that UFOs have become the new normal.
Yes.
So in 2020, we had COVID and mask mandates and vaccines and lockdowns and all that stuff.
That became the new normal.
Then in 2021, we had vaccines.
Yes.
Vaccines became the new normal and the fight over it.
2022, Ukraine.
Ukraine became the new normal.
And now it's UFOs.
Now it's UFOs.
So the hypnotist is saying, now you will talk about UFOs.
They changed the channel.
They changed the propaganda channel.
And now we're talking about UFOs.
But it's, I think
what we're going to see is that
they're going to talk about UFOs
so much that
it won't even bother
people. They'll just get used
to it. They'll
look up in the sky, they'll see an object
and they'll go, yeah, it's a UFO.
What's the big deal? It's the new normal. They'll look up in the sky, they'll see an object, and they'll go, yeah, it's a UFO.
What's the big deal?
It's the new normal.
They're getting us ready for the big lie.
And that's what I think is coming.
We'll move on to the next one.
This is a Daily Mail. The Pentagon warned that UFOs are a threat to the immediate safety of U.S. citizens. Now, apparently, this warning was made several weeks before the first spy balloon report
started popping up.
Daily Mail has obtained a slide deck from a presentation by Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, Director
of the Department of Defense's All-Domain Anomaly Research Office, AERO, given at a
conference on January 11th. Kirk Patrick's presentation
warned of threats to the immediate safety of U.S. citizens and government facilities
and said that the military are finding unidentified anomalous phenomenon most
often in the vicinity of U.S. military facilities and operating areas.
We're going through the slide presentation right now. This is an actual slide presentation at the Pentagon.
It was published today by the Daily Mail in London.
And so this particular slide here says that the frequency of, they call them UAPs,
unidentified aerial phenomenon.
General parlance for UFOs are most prolific around military bases,
which wouldn't be surprising. That's probably
where the aliens want to land. All kidding aside, the Pentagon takes this very seriously.
All right. They've been taking this very seriously. They're having seminars about this.
They're having conversations about this. What are the strange, unidentified phenomenon
that are appearing around United States military facilities and staging areas? So they're having
serious conversations about it and have been for a while. And I've been saying this for many years.
Satan's biggest lie is that humans were seeded on the earth by extraterrestrials.
Right.
That we were not made in the image of God.
That a long time ago, ETs came here and they seeded this planet with a new life form that became humans.
And Satan is going to declare himself our father. yes okay that's the big lie that's coming
they're also going to tell us that the aliens have introduced an alien virus on the planet
and because humans have never been exposed to this alien virus the entire human race could be wiped out by an alien virus.
I mean, you think the scare
over COVID was crazy?
Just wait until the news media
and the Pentagon
and all the governments
around the world
tell the people
that an alien virus
is loose on the planet
and every human
must be vaccinated or receive an injection of the alien
virus in your body so that you have immunity against it so they're going to make you in the
image of the aliens which are demons folks i believe this i've been saying it for years
get ready for the big lie.
They're warming up right now.
I don't know if they're going to bring it out now
or five, 10 years from now, Doc, but they're getting ready.
This is the first time we have heard Pentagon officials
say it could be aliens.
We don't know.
We're not going to rule it out.
They're unidentified.
You're saying you can't rule that out. No, we can't. Well, Washington Post said the U.S. jet missed with the first
missile aimed at flying object. That was one over the weekend in Michigan. And we've got General Mark Milley admitting that they missed it on the first shot.
Here it is. So, Tara, on the balloon shot, yes, first shot missed on the fourth balloon. So,
we're talking about the balloon that was downed over Lake Huron. The first balloon, the Chinese
spy balloon that went down over the Atlantic on the South Carolina coast,
that shot hit.
The second one over Alaska, on the north coast of Alaska,
that one hit.
The third one that landed in the Yukon, that one hit.
On the fourth one over Lake Huron,
first shot missed, second shot hit.
So the most important thing for the American military
is to protect the American people.
So we evaluate the risk. We evaluate the risk of the balloons themselves. Are they a kinetic threat
or not? Yes, no. Are they an intelligence threat? Are they a threat to civil aviation? All those
things we go through very, very carefully. We determine what the debris field is likely to be
with one of these platforms landing on the Earth's surface or in the water. So we go to great lengths
to make sure that the airspace is clear
and the backdrop is clear out to the max effective range of the missile.
And in this case, the missile landed harmlessly in the water of Lake Huron.
We tracked it all the way down.
And we made sure that the airspace was clear of any commercial or civilian or recreational traffic.
We do the same thing for the maritime space. So we're very, very deliberate in our planning. NORTHCOM does that along with the
pilots themselves. So we're very, very careful to make sure that those shots are in fact safe. And
that's the guidance from the president. Shoot it down, but make sure we minimize collateral damage
and we preserve the safety of the American people. Again, are we shooting down balloons? Are we shooting down UFOs?
Well, he just said balloons.
But General Van Herck says they're objects,
and I don't know what they are.
They could be ETs.
There are lights, a train of lights that have been appearing in the sky
in different parts of the world, Doc.
I'm seeing a lot of this appearing on social media,
and people are sending me these photographs.
We'll show you one.
This is over a city in China,
this train of lights in the sky.
You might have seen these too.
I have it.
But I have seen a number of videos
in different parts of the world
of the same train of lights. So what is it?
Are these UFOs or what do we see? Well, the explanation I've been seeing online for these
trains of lights that you've been seeing is actually after a SpaceX launch where they have
all the microsatellites on there, they are releasing the satellites from the rocket in a geosynchronous orbit.
And they orbit it for a while until they're ready to disperse the SpaceX satellites to where they're going to be.
That's the explanation I've been seeing.
And it does seem to coincide with the timing on SpaceX launches.
But those aren't the only lights that people are seeing.
They're seeing swirls in the sky.
They're seeing different colored lights in the sky,
laser beams coming from the sky.
The really strange one was the blue object
that was traveling across the skyline of a Turkish city
just before the earthquake.
That's true.
And so was that a reaction to the ionosphere or was
that something from a space-based weapon? You know, this is the world we live in now. We live in the
world of bond weapons now. I mean, this is the new normal. Yes. I mean, it's entirely possible,
not beyond the realm of imagination to say that we can cause earthquakes, we can create lights in the sky, maybe even holograms in the sky.
Who knows what's going to be happening next?
Speaking of holograms, I remember an article, Doc,
this at least 20 years ago.
And the article came out of Israel, Jerusalem Post or Times of Israel,
I forget which newspaper, maybe Haratz, and an Israeli scientist said
he had a solution for the third temple.
He said, I know how to build the third temple
without causing a war.
And he said, we will hover a holographic image
of the temple over Jerusalem.
That was over 20 years ago.
Now that's not beyond the realm of possibility.
And you could virtually visit it in the metaverse next.
So be prepared for it.
Now, the story has changed today.
The narrative took a different turn.
And this is Bloomberg.
U.S. says three mystery objects likely private with no China link.
All right.
So we were told China, China, China, China, China for a week.
And now this.
Yeah.
And then New York Times.
Flying objects could turn out to be harmless, the U.S. says.
And that came from none other than John Kirby, the spokesman for the National Security Council.
And we have video,
oh no, we have audio.
This was an audio phone call, right?
Right, he did a presser by phone today
with a number of correspondents.
This is him talking to reporters saying-
He's changing the story.
Yes, and this has changed since yesterday
from Mr. Kirby.
See, don't worry,
they're not Chinese spy balloons.
They're not UFOs.
They're just private objects.
But unidentified.
So listen to John Kirby.
But we shot them down.
With Sidewinder missiles.
All right.
This is John Kirby that's early this morning.
Again, without analyzing the debris, what these objects were, thus far, and I caveat that by saying thus far, we haven't seen any indication or anything
that points specifically to the idea that these three objects were part of the PRC's
spy balloon program, or that they were definitively involved in external intelligence collection efforts.
As I said, that was one of the concerns about them before,
was that they could be a potential surveillance asset.
That was part of the reason that the president made the decision to shoot them down. We don't know of any evidence right now
that confirms that they were in fact doing
intelligence collection by another government.
But let's blow them out of the sky.
Yeah, that's what I hear.
We don't know what they were.
We don't know who owned them, but we blew them up.
And without analyzing them,
we're certain that they were harmless and didn't belong to anybody
that was going to do us harm um so are you telling me you're telling me the pentagon
kind of just like the wild west you just pull your revolver out and you start shooting things
in the air and you don't even know who owns it, where it came from, what it is. Honestly,
I don't believe this story. Well, and you have to explain if that's the case, how were they able to
miss one? And where are the owners? Right. Who didn't, why didn't the owners call the Pentagon
and go, hey, that's my balloon. Don't shoot it. I mean, certainly the owners have called the Pentagon by now
and said, we're missing a balloon.
You guys didn't accidentally put a sidewinder missile into it.
Yeah, there's something about the story.
They're changing the story,
but this is all a lot of confusion.
And they're either deliberately confusing the people
to get you ready to accept something,
like the introduction of ETs on earth,
or they're throwing up something really wild and crazy
to get your attention away from something,
like look over here.
Don't look over here right now.
Look at this crazy story.
So we're not
quite sure yet which one it is that's the purpose of the clowns in the circus to distract you what
big story came out last week when all this started seymour hirsch's report about the u.s
blowing up the nordstrom pipeline no one's talking about that are they nobody's talking about world
war three nobody's talking about the threats that Russia has made,
that there's going to be a bloody reaction to the introduction of more serious weapons into Ukraine.
No, instead we're worried about mysterious objects in the sky.
And the possibility that extraterrestrials are here.
There's a tragedy going on in Palestine, Ohio, a small town.
You've heard about this. There's a tragedy going on in Palestine, Ohio, a small town. You've heard about this.
There's a news blackout.
There's a horrible environmental crisis in that small town from a train derailment.
And the train was carrying numerous railroad cars with deadly chemicals in it. The government deliberately set fire to the chemicals because
they were afraid the train was going to explode and shrapnel was going to be flying a mile away.
But the fire released toxins into the air. Fish are dying. Animals are dying. People are living around there,
and they're being told, it's okay. The air is safe. The water is safe. Don't worry about it.
Now, the news media is not talking about this. I mean, you would think the news media that cares
about the environment, climate change, all the things that the media talks about. You would think that they would be talking about this disaster in Ohio, but it's hard to find news about it.
Right.
And you have to.
This ABC News shot was the exception because most of the information coming out is what we call alternative media sites.
And if it's on alternative media, then you have to look at that with a squinty eye
because it might not be true, right? That's right. So there's something really weird
in this story, and that is that several years ago, there was a movie made. It didn't become
successful, but it was called White Noise. Well, it was filmed in Ohio. In fact, about 10, 15 miles from Palestine.
East Palestine, Pennsylvania.
And my understanding is that many of the extras in the film were citizens of Palestine.
That's true.
And that their role was to pretend that they were in an environmental disaster, a toxic explosion in the town.
So weird.
So the film, again, called White Noise.
And the star, you know, the person, the key character in it
was a guy named Jack Gladney.
And he was a professor of Hitler studies.
In the film.
In the film, in the film. He was a professor of Hitler studies. In the film. In the film. In the film.
He was a professor
of Hitler studies.
So you got Hitler
and the Nazis in this film.
And it was filmed
near Palestine, Ohio.
And it involved
a derailment of a train
and explosion of deadly chemicals.
How weird is this?
Well, it gets even weirder
when you look at the images,
the real life images that we showed you
from the ABC News clip
and we show you a portion
of the trailer from this
2022 movie. It's
eerily similar.
Here's part of the trailer.
Life is good, Jack.
I hope it lasts forever.
Let's watch a sitcom or something.
No!
They're calling it the Airborne Toxic Event.
Man won't come this way.
Will we have to leave our home?
Of course not.
How do you know?
I just know.
Okay, what if it's dangerous?
Evacuate all places of residence.
So this is the end, or near to the end.
Let's take it.
We have a situation.
Sorry, so a coincidence, Doc, that a film about a derailment, a toxic explosion.
In Ohio.
In Ohio, and the people who appeared in the film as extras came from the town of Palestine.
I don't believe in coincidences.
Neither do I.
Maybe this event was pre-scripted.
It does strike me as unusual that no one is questioning the idea that we set this on fire.
Yes.
Purposely.
The government.
The government set this on fire.
And some of the images coming out of East Palestine, it looked like a nuclear bomb had gone off.
I mean, the clouds were black.
The acid was falling out of the sky.
I mean, it was last days kind of stuff.
Hey, we're not done.
We got another eight minutes of some really crazy news to show you.
We're going to go through it rapid fire.
Daily Mail London, bird flu may mutate to kill more than 50% of humans who catch it.
Folks, what that is is fear porn. That's fear pornography. They want
you to be afraid of the bird flu. Half of the human race will die. That's what that headline
says. Half of the human race will die from the bird flu. But when you read the article,
it doesn't say that. No. But the headline says it because that's all people are going to
read. The headline is fear pornography. The next one, inquire Philippines. You got to love a
president whose name is Bongbong. Bongbong Marcos and Chinese envoy discuss sea rift after laser beam attack.
So President Marcos called the Chinese ambassador into his office
and demanded an explanation of the laser attack on the Philippine warship.
Now I'm really starting to question the whole thing, the whole story.
Because what has happened now is that the U.S. has stepped in,
and this is from the Mandela Times, saying, we're backing the Philippines in this new dispute with China.
Well, look who's there.
There he is.
There's the man.
There's the man of war.
He shows up wherever there's going to be a war.
The national security advisor to President Biden.
And he told China, you do anything to the Philippines,
and the U.S. is going to be there,
and we're going to defend the Philippines
because we have a treaty with the Philippines.
Back from 1951.
I didn't even know about that.
After World War II.
And so we're going to defend the South China Sea
against the Chinese now
is basically what this story is saying.
Yeah, next one is from Nikkei News.
President Marcos says,
it's hard to imagine the Philippines can avoid a Taiwan war with China.
Suddenly, Doc, the Philippines is lining up in this world war.
That's right.
And so we have a short video clip with President Marcos saying, hey, we're in this for Taiwan now.
When we look at the situation in the area, especially the tensions in the Taiwan Straits, we can see that just by our geographical location,
should there in fact be conflict in that area, it's very hard to imagine a scenario where the
Philippines will not somehow get involved. I always remind everyone that Kaohsiung in Taiwan is a 40-minute flight away from my province.
So we feel that we are very much on the front line.
It's certainly under study, and there was already a proposal for certain areas.
So I think it really is just a progression of what
has already been happening. So we are just intensifying our joint exercises
and Japan has provided a lot of material for us in the
Philippines to be able to safeguard our territorial waters up to the vessels,
equipment, communications, etc. And we have been holding joint exercises before.
Perhaps because the, shall we say, the temperature in the region has slowly ratcheted up, we have to also, as a response, be more judicious in making sure that we are defending
properly our sovereign territory.
That's quite a departure from President Duterte, who was working with the Chinese and the Russians
to keep the Philippines out of any potential conflict.
Marcos, he knows where the bread is buttered.
His daddy knew too. So what we just witnessed is the Philippines just entered World War III.
That's right. That's what you just saw. And said, we will fight against China.
We will host American military bases. We're in're in World War III, and we will fight for Taiwan.
Quickly, some more stories.
Another story from Tokyo.
Members of the U.S. Special Committee on China weighing visit to Taipei.
So you're going to see a lot of U.S. congressmen going to Taiwan in the coming months.
Bloomberg reporting NATO struggles to meet spending goals
as it weighs higher target. And I want to drop down to 46. The quote says,
the classified guidance will plan ways for NATO to simultaneously engage in a high-intensity
so-called Article 5 conflict where allies would have to defend each other as well as an out-of-area
non-Article V event at the same time.
What does that mean, Doc?
They're going to fight two wars at the same time.
One in Europe and one in the Pacific.
Yes.
That's what they just discussed at NATO.
You don't hear it anyplace else because everybody else is talking about UFOs and balloons.
Number 51, Russian nuclear bear bombers fly near Alaska.
Yes, they enter the air defense zone, which they tend to do as tensions rise.
We do the same thing, though.
Yes, that in mind.
But we all know that's not a balloon.
That's a nuclear bomber.
Dutch F-35 scrambled to intercept Russian spy plane
and fighter jets approaching NATO member Poland's airspace.
Newsweek, Russian warships armed with nuclear weapons
deployed the first time in 30 years that this has happened,
according to Norway. Number 56, this is Financial Times. Western intelligence shows
Russians amassing aircraft on Ukraine border. And then we're going to go to 64,
the standard in London. Putin's troops ordered to advance in most sectors on the Ukrainian front.
The British Ministry of Defense claiming that British intelligence believes that Putin has given the order to begin the offensive.
They've postponed it now, Doc, into March, into spring.
Then Secretary Lloyd Alston, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Alston, in that press conference today, he said, and we're not going to show this video. I'll save it for tomorrow.
But he said that the U.S. is, NATO is preparing the Ukrainians for a spring offensive a counter offensive against the russians
so it appears that the big confrontation now doc is middle of somewhere around march i thought it
was going to be earlier but it looks like it's going to be march um so there's there's a lot
happening here doc and it is world war three is game. This is one reason we have changed what we're doing here
because, folks, you've got to get moving.
You've got to get your plans in place
and you've got to get your supplies in place
and you've got to start thinking about
how are you going to survive during a world war.
This thing is coming quickly
and we are the only source out there telling people every single day the events that are
driving the world towards World War III. And everybody else is telling you to look at UFOs. Look at some crazy entertainment show.
Listen, it's World War III.
It's on and it's coming and you've got to get ready.
And the most important thing you've got to do
is be right with God.
If you're not right with God, you're in trouble.
I'll see you tomorrow. Welcome to Morning Manor.
Jesus Christ is the living bread that came down from heaven.
Anybody who eats this bread will live forever.
Nourish your soul each weekday with Morning Manna.
Here are your Bible teachers, Rick Wiles and Doc Burkhart.
Well, this is the day which the Lord hath made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Hello, everybody. I'm Rick Wiles. And this weekday television program is devoted to making ready a people prepared for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
King Jesus will return to earth someday to gather his elect.
And you and I must be ready when he arrives. And arriving with King Jesus will be his glorious kingdom that shall have no end.
Until the day of the Lord arrives, you and I must live in this old sinful world.
And that's why we must shine brightly, taste salty, and love everybody.
I've got a question for you.
Do you have faith in God to feed your family when your pantry and refrigerator are empty?
All of us may face such situations, such needs in the future,
in the run-up to the second coming of Jesus Christ. None of us know what
is going to happen in the days ahead, but I do know this. If you have faith in Christ,
everything will be provided for you. And that's my question. Do we have faith in Jesus to provide for us in times of trouble, in times of need, in times of lack.
I've been there in my life, and I have seen the Lord do marvelous things in my personal life
where he has supplied the necessary things that we needed at the right time. And you probably have experienced it too. Well, my mission in 2023
is to organize and teach a network of Daniel 11 microchurches. What's a microchurch? Well,
it's a home cell group of five to 10 families or individuals who meet in homes to worship God, study the Bible,
and help each other prepare for the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Well, why are we calling them Daniel 11 microchurches? Well, Daniel prophesied
about the wise servants of the Lord in the last days who will teach sound doctrine to people in an age when the Antichrist will be deceiving the public.
That time sure looks like it is today.
Well, yesterday, Dr. Raymond Burkhardt and I talked about an obscure miracle in the Old Testament found in 2 Kings. And today we will share with you another obscure miracle of supply
also found in the same Old Testament book
and performed by the same Old Testament prophet,
Elijah.
Doc is here to read 2 Kings 4 42-44.
Thank you, Rick.
And there came a man from Behal, Shalisha,
and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits,
20 loaves of barley and full ears of corn
and the husks thereof.
And he said, Give unto the people that they may eat.
And his serventer said,
What should I set this before a hundred men?
He said again, Give the people that they may eat, for thus saith the Lord, They shall eat and shall leave thereof. This is a great passage, Rick.
It may seem obscure to a lot of people, but this is loaded with faith.
It really, really is.
It's a great story and connects to the feeding of the crowds in the Gospels,
feeding the 5,000 and 3,000 in the Gospels.
And so there's so much in this.
It is. And it's like in the Old Testament, Elijah, his mentor, Elijah was the forerunner of John the Baptist.
And Elijah was a type of Jesus.
That's right.
Yes.
That's the best way to describe it.
Elijah took on the characteristics of the pattern of miracles of Jesus.
And so when we see Jesus perform a miracle of any significant kind, feeding people, opening blind eyes, raising dead people, Elisha did the same thing.
Yeah, I'm telling you, if you just go back through the pages of 2 Kings, Elisha was on a roll.
I mean, miracle after miracle was happening.
Now, yesterday we talked about the other miracle feeding,
which is in Second Kings 4, 39 through 41.
Right before, I mean, these two are right up against each other.
They just made some soup.
What goes good with soup?
Rick, bread.
We need some bread.
You got cornbread in this one. So yesterday it was the soup that, it was during a
famine. And, you know, he went to the school prophets and the guys were hungry. There wasn't
any food in the pantry. And he said, bring me the big kettle. We're going to make some soup. And, you know, he did the miracle.
God did the miracle.
But there was a poisonous gourd that was chopped up and thrown into the soup
and poisoned the whole thing.
And then Elijah threw the flour into the meal, I mean, into the soup,
and they were able to eat.
And so we talked about the spiritual principles
in that message yesterday.
This one, as you said, follows right after that one.
It's almost like the soup's finished.
Now it's time for the bread.
I just thought it was so interesting.
And so this man came and he brought the man of God
food from the first fruits.
There's a lot with that.
First of all, the man isn't named.
We don't know what his name is or anything like that.
We only know where he's from.
And it's from a place called Bahal Shalisha, which means the God of three of all things.
So he comes from, it can be interpreted different ways.
It could be the god
of three different territories
or something like that.
But I like the idea
that it's the god of three
that supplies, right?
And so this unnamed man
who came just as the soup
was finished,
he shows up,
who knows how far he came,
but he shows up
just at the time
the soup's on. and he shows up red.
And he's a devout man.
That's right.
Why is that important in this story, Doc?
Because he's a man of faith.
He's a man that had listened to God, had received instruction from the Lord to go and provide for the man of God,
provide for the prophets in the school.
But there's a drought, there's a famine.
That's right.
And if you notice, this is, as Rick said,
this is a time of a famine.
But what did the faithful man bring the man of God?
He brought him first fruits.
What does that mean?
That means the man had a harvest in the midst of famine.
I'm going to say it again. The man had a harvest in the midst of famine i'm gonna say it again oh the man had a
harvest in the midst of the hand of famine there's a sermon right there i told you there's three
points in a poem here and we've got we've got a message that's really good he uh if you've got a
famine if there's a drought and there's a famine and a lack of food where does guy get a harvest
he got it because he was faithful because he was godly and a lack of food, where'd this guy get a harvest? He got it because
he was faithful to the Lord. Because he was godly and the blessings of God was on him.
His neighbors may have been scratching in the dirt, unable to grow anything, but over at this
guy's farm, the corn was growing. Now, if you look back in Leviticus and Deuteronomy, there's
the offering of the first fruits.
Who was that for?
Well, that was for the priest
that was serving the tabernacle
and eventually in the temple.
That was who the first fruits were for.
Now, where this is taking place
is up in the Northern Kingdom.
Temples down in Jerusalem,
Northern Kingdom, they have lost the priesthood.
There are no priests in the Northern Kingdom.
The tribe of Levi has basically scratched out.
So this man is under no obligation to give at all.
There's no rule or requirement for him
because there's no priest to give to.
But this man-
But he knew what was right.
That's right.
He understood the principle of giving,
not to the letter of the law, the priest,
but giving to the man of God.
Giving to the man of God.
And so-
He traveled to find him.
That's right.
Traveled to find him.
He just didn't go down the street
and find the first priest.
Yes.
He said, there's one in particular. I'm going to bless him.
And I believe the Lord said, I'm sending you to Elisha. I've got something to deliver him.
Now you're going to bring your harvest of first fruits. Now, was it a big harvest?
Well, it says it was 20 loaves of barley. Now, barley was like kind of the wheat for poor folks, right?
When I was a kid, the rich folks shopped at IGA.
We shopped at Aldi's.
We had the Aldi bread, okay?
Or the Hostess Bakery bread, you know, the old bread.
But so poor folks, they ate loaves of barley.
And these were also, when Jesus fed the crowds, he fed them loaves of barley. And these are also, when Jesus fed the crowds,
he fed them loaves of barley too.
But, you know, so it wasn't any extravagant gift
is what I'm saying.
But it was his best.
It was his best.
That's right.
It was the first fruit.
Yes, the first fruit.
The cream of the crop.
He took the very, the cream of the crop,
the best of the first harvest, and gave it to the man of God.
That's right.
And that's also the, that 20 loaves of barley
was also what you see reflected back in the law too.
Once again, he's under no obligation to follow the law
of giving to the priest or anything like that,
but he understood the principle of giving and to follow that.
It also says there that he brought full ears of corn.
And those full ears of corn, Rick,
that was also from his harvest as well.
It's interesting that that word full,
it didn't just say ears of corn.
It says full. Full, like fat, plentiful.
But there's a drought, there's a famine. It's full. Like fat, plentiful. But it's a harvest.
But there's a drought. There's a famine.
That's right. He had fat corn in the midst of a harvest.
Look, if you've ever
had a garden, if you've ever
raised corn, I have many
ears. You know
what a scrawny ear of corn looks like.
You pull a husk back
and there's about a dozen kernels of corn,
and there's nothing there.
Right.
But when you get a nice, big, fat, plump,
juicy ear of corn.
And you rip that thing open,
it's almost like the smell jump out at you.
And that corn is sweet,
and you roast it with the husk on,
and that's some good eating.
And so he didn't bring these little scrawny.
No, not at all.
Corn cobs.
No, he brought full ears of corn.
And what's interesting, that word full.
You know what, Doc?
I'm sorry.
I know, we're both on a roll here.
I just pictured him sorting through his harvest,
looking for the plumpest, fullest ears of corn.
Yes, I can see that too.
And that word full there, full ears of corn,
that word full is also used throughout the Old Testament
for the word plentiful or joyful.
Joyful.
He was a joyful giver.
That's right.
So before I'll need a second 2 Corinthians 9, verse 10,
God loves who?
A cheerful giver.
And so he was bringing a cheerful harvest,
a humble harvest in that it was the best that he had
of a barley harvest.
It was his first fruits, but it was his best.
Why does God love cheerful givers?
Does he not?
He doesn't get pleasure from unhappy givers?
Maybe he puts up with unhappy givers.
He puts up with them.
But I think he loves cheerful givers
because he sees in them himself.
That's good.
He's a cheerful giver.
He is, isn't he?
He's a cheerful giver.
He likes to give.
He enjoys giving.
He gets pleasure from giving.
He smiles when he gives.
And when he sees a cheerful giver,
he knows that a very important part of his being
is in that man or woman who's giving.
Something that's precious to himself, his love of giving, his happiness to give.
He sees that in a man or woman who also loves to give, and he knows that that's his spirit in them.
They have a bond.
They have something
in common. They both love giving. It also means to the Lord, the cheerful giver.
One reason the person's cheerful, Doc, is they know that there can't be any lack in their life
if they're giving. They're happy. Yes.
They're happy because they know it's impossible to be a giver and have lack.
That's right.
Just try it.
Try it.
Just go the whole year, 2023, just giving and giving and giving.
And check back in with me at the end of the year and tell me how much lack you had in your life.
Tell us if you're still broke.
Now, in this passage, it talks about giving.
So the man from Bahal Shalisha brings a gift to the man of God.
It didn't say he brought it to the prophets at the school, but brought it to the man of God.
But what does the man of God turn around and give an instruction about?
He says, give unto the people.
And so the man of God received.
He could have held on to it.
In fact, we're going to see here
that the servant wanted to hold on to it.
He could have held on to it.
And that's the accusation
that a lot of ministers get nowadays, Rick,
is they're only in the ministry for the money
when they don't
really realize that most God-fearing pastors are givers. They want to give. And that's one of the
earmarks of our ministry here. We give abundantly. We give joyfully. In fact, I think that's one of
the reasons why God has sustained this ministry for as long as he has, because we've had that
giving mentality. And so it says in that verse, let's put it back up on the screen here.
And he, give the people that they may eat,
for thus saith the Lord, they shall eat and have leave thereof.
But we also read, pull up the full passage if you don't mind control,
because he said, give unto the people that they may eat. And his servitor said,
what should I set this before a hundred men? That servitor there, Rick, is Gehazi, his assistant.
Now, this is where that lack of faith entered in.
This is Elijah's servant.
That's right.
His assistant.
His assistant.
His chief of staff.
Right.
Said, hey.
Boss.
You sure you want to do this?
You sure you want to?
First of all, it's not enough to take care of everybody.
Second of all, we lose it.
But his servant just watched him feed 100 hungry young men with soup.
And a week before, he saw Elisha raise a dead kid.
And so, but somehow along the line here,
he did not have the faith to believe
that God could provide not only for his personal needs,
but for the needs of the ministry.
Isn't that just like the disciples?
Yes, they did the same thing.
And they said, there's not enough.
You want us to send the people home? Right. And Jesus said, well, what do you got here? Well, we got a couple of loaves of
bread and some fish. You know, it's interesting. I was looking up into this passage of scripture
that we're looking at today, and there are two words for give here. The first time he says,
and he said, given to the people, that was a direct command to Gehazi, to his servant.
It was a singular command to one individual.
But that second time, he said again,
he gave the instruction a second time,
give the people that they may eat.
When he gave that give instruction the second time,
it was a general instruction.
In other words, hey, Gehazi is not
going to pick up on this. Somebody over here, pick up some of these barley loaves, pick up some of
these ears of corn, and let's start passing them out. Someone responded to the instruction that the
man of God gave. And they had faith. That's right. Doc, it says the man came,
he brought the man of God
food from the first fruits, 20 loaves
of barley and fresh ears of corn
in his sack. Yes.
This
supply of food was not
that big physically. No.
It was in a sack that he carried.
That he carried, along with 20 loaves of barley bread
that he carried himself.
So you're right, Rick.
It was a very small supply.
It was his best.
It was his first fruits.
And it was directed for the man of God.
But 100 hungry young men
could tear through that supply of food in seconds.
Right.
And that's why Elijah's servant said,
what?
You want me to feed a hundred hungry young men
with this little pile of food?
But his lack of faith was,
isn't it amazing how somebody could be working
for a man of God and seeing miracles and still have lack, I mean, still have doubt.
Just like the disciples traveled with Jesus, saw the miracles and still doubted.
And I think part of the problem with Gehazi, even though he had seen the miracles, seen Elisha raise the dead, I mean, you would think that would, you know,
make a pretty good impression for you.
We read in the very next chapter,
2 Kings chapter five,
the story of Naaman who had leprosy.
And we go through that whole story
and Gehazi actually goes out
and makes a deal for a bunch of business suits
away from Elisha the prophet.
And that basically gets him kicked out of the ministry.
There was greed in the servant's heart.
He saw, I believe in this passage,
that the servant, Gehazi,
I believe it's Gehazi,
saw the lack. But Elisha, Gehazi, I believe it's Gehazi, saw the lack.
But Elisha, now he said that there would be leftovers.
There would be leftovers from the giving.
You'd have more than enough.
Don't you understand?
The real one that Elisha was trying to impress here
was his servant.
He's teaching faith to him.
Trying to get through his thick skull.
Don't you understand that you've got to give your way out of trouble?
It's the same principle that we saw that Jesus did with the disciples when he fed the multitudes.
He took the loaves and the fish and he blessed the food. But Jesus didn't hand it to
the people. He handed it to his disciples and he told them, feed the people. Fortunately,
they obeyed. Yes. We see the same thing here. Elijah said to his disciple,
you give it to the people.
You give it to them.
He's doing the same thing that Jesus did
centuries later.
Of course, it's Jesus right here
in the spirit the whole time.
But it's the same principle.
The Lord blesses
and then says to the man of God,
you give it to the leadership in your church
and then let them feed the people.
And so the people were fed and they had leftovers.
That's right.
Just as we saw when Jesus fed the multitudes,
there were baskets full, left over.
And they weren't scraps.
I don't believe so either.
I mean, they weren't like fish bones.
Or crust of bread or something like that.
It was whole food, entire fish and leftovers.
They ate on it for days after that.
This is really a great passage here.
There's a lot in this.
How many of you have had a miracle supply of food in your life?
Have you ever had a dog?
I've had food appear in our cupboards that I don't know where it came from.
Okay.
Bags of rice would appear.
Cans of food would appear that I know weren't there.
This was early in pastor ministry. You're living in some pretty interesting parsonages and
everything. Everybody who's called in ministry goes through these experiences. I don't know if every Christian does,
but if you're called by God,
it's like he put you through,
he put you through Faith 101 in your early years
and you learned to trust him.
Can I share a story?
Sure, you got five minutes.
I was pastoring a small church
in Princeton, Missouri,
a Princeton town of 700 people.
And it was tough week to week.
Offerings weren't that great.
It was a church of about 35, 40 people.
And things got tight the first winter there.
And it did not look like, you know,
let's just say it was hard times.
So one night we're at the house and we're praying with another couple
and there was a knock on the door.
There was this old farmer that had driven into town.
It was one of those angry farmers, you know.
You know, never smiled or anything,
always had a scowl,
would rather spit tobacco than talk to you, right?
And he knocks on the door and said,
are you the preacher?
And I said, yes.
And he said, I don't know why I'm here,
but there's two bags of groceries out in my truck
and I'm supposed to bring it here to you
and I'm not happy about it.
I had a couple of experiences like that, Doc.
This must be the same guy.
I said, okay.
He said, well, come on down.
Let's get them out of the truck.
I got to get back home.
I got cows to take care of and everything.
And so we went in and brought the groceries in
and said, all right, I'm done.
Thank you.
And drove off.
And we're just like dumbfounded
because I mean, we were really,
I mean, we weren't at the bottom of the barrel.
We were turning the barrel over and looking at the bottom.
But the Lord had supplied at that time.
But what was even more interesting is
several weeks later,
this old farmer started coming to church.
And he said, when he started coming,
he eventually gave his heart to the Lord
and became a faithful member of the church.
He said, preacher, I heard my sister told me
that you were praying for groceries and I got word of it.
And I heard somebody tell me, you take that preacher groceries.
And I argued with him for 15 minutes about it, and he told the whole story.
But it was one of those, in my life, it was one of those occasions of supply that was supernatural,
that God used an individual to supply the need.
I think that guy's brother.
One time, Doc, we were, my wife and I, we were in a situation where, you know, in ministry, we had no heating oil in the house and no heating oil in the church.
And it was cold.
And the Lord told me
not to say a word. Okay. Like, well, how am I going to get people to donate to the church?
You know, if I don't tell them about it. And he said, I remember clearly hearing the Lord say
this. He said, uh, I said, Lord, we're cold. And the Lord said, I'm dealing with cold hearts.
Wow. Let me do it. And we went, you know, a week or two without heat in the house, in a church.
And one morning I was in my pastor's office very early in the morning, and the phone rang, and no staff had come in yet.
And so I answered the phone, and this guy is real angry
because, are you the pastor?
Yes, sir.
You know?
And he goes, write down this number.
Yes, sir.
So he starts giving me that.
I immediately knew it was a credit card number.
He gives me expiration date and so forth.
I said, sir, what do you want me to do with this?
He goes, put X many
hundreds of dollars on it. Real
gruff, real gruff and angry.
I said, well, thank you, sir.
He goes,
I'll tell you what. He goes, I was up
all night. I couldn't sleep
all night.
I really don't want to do this,
but I want to get some sleep tonight.
So there's the money.
Goodbye.
And he hung up.
And the Lord showed me he had been dealing with that man's cold heart
for a long time about giving.
But there was enough of God's spirit in that grumpy old man that he obeyed the Lord,
even though he didn't want to obey the Lord.
He wasn't a cheerful giver.
He was not a cheerful giver.
He was a grumpy, angry giver.
But he still gave.
And you know what? I'm sure
the Lord gave him some type of blessing in proportion to his faith, his spirit. My friends,
God will take care of you. Put your faith and your trust in him. You might be in a situation
right now where you need a miracle. Call upon the name of the Lord and ask him to give you
the miracle that you need and take your action steps. Give. Don't just sit there. You got to
start giving. Faith without works is dead. Trust the Lord. Find somebody that needs it more than you and bless them. Bless the man of
God in your life and watch God do something marvelous in your life. And it might be a grumpy
old person is the one who blesses you. You'll never know. Hey, take care. We'll see you tomorrow.
