President Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff have worked long hours for months since entering the White House in January to bring about an end to this bloody war in Ukraine. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's World War III news by looking at this Novasti news report about today's Russian bombing of Ukrainian targets. As you see, Novasti, Russian armed forces attacked Ukrainian military enterprises. Those enterprises, according to the Russian Defense Force Ministry said the Russian forces of the the armed forces of the Russian Federation launched a massive

strike with precision long-range air ground and sea-based weapons unmanned aerial vehicles on enterprises of the aviation rocket space engineering and rocket, space, engineering, and armored industries of Ukraine. And then here's BBC, Kiev hit by deadly Russian missile and drone attack. We've got some video showing you what it looked like during the early morning hours today. This is in and around Kiev, the capital. Right. So we see some of that some of those missile strikes that are taking place there, Rick. And of course, this is in the overnight hours here, as we began our day here and so we've not seen this since last fall. Right. So now Russia, of course, is maintaining that they were seeking out strictly military sites and strictly military equipment.

But they hid in Kiev. They did. This was a message to Zelensky. Yes. After he killed the peace deal yesterday, the Russians said, well, enjoy this. Right. You want war? This is what war looks like in your capital city. And brought it to Kiev.

That's right. Made it real for folks in Kiev. NBC News, Vladimir stopped, says Trump. As Putin launches worst attack in Ukraine, on Ukraine in months, he made a statement on his Truth Social page. This is what he said. Yes, he says, I'm not happy with the Russian strikes in Kiev. It's not necessary in very bad timing. Vladimir, stop.

5,000 soldiers a week are dying. Let's get the peace deal done. What peace deal? Right. Zelensky killed it. Yes. dying, let's get the peace deal done. What peace deal? Right. Zelensky killed it. Yes. And what he was trying to do, what

Zelensky was trying to do was prolong the war and try to get a better deal out of the European Union than he was getting out of the US. That's all that it is. That's exactly what it is. what it is. A better commission for the rare earth minerals and whatever other natural resources that are in that deal and probably a better deal to keep you know the billions of dollars that he and his his buddies stole over the last three years.

Right. I guess they needed protection. If we keep this money in European banks, will you promise not to take it and not put us in prison? You know, this is what's going on behind the scenes. Right. They're not talking about peace, they're talking about money. And how they're going to divide it up.

This is not good today, folks. This news is not good. Bloomberg, U.S. to demand Putin accept Ukraine's right to military force. That's right. Well, this is Bloomberg reporting this today. The U.S. will demand that Russia accept Ukraine's right to have its own army and defense industry as part of a peace agreement between Moscow and Kiev. According to the people who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss private negotiations, U.S. envoy Steve Whitkoff is expected to raise the issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin when they next meet. Now, according to, excuse me, agreeing to

let Kiev have an adequately equipped and manned army as Demanded by listen this by Ukraine and the European allies would mean that Vladimir Putin would have to give up on his goal for Ukraine's deep militarization One of his main stated war aims It's a sign that the Trump administration is seeking some concessions from the Kremlin, as well as Ukraine, as it tries to end a war that's now into its fourth year. What Russia is concerned about is the denazification of Ukraine, not so much the demilitarization of Ukraine.

If they got rid of the Nazis, they wouldn't be too concerned about Ukraine's military at that point. This hasn't come up in negotiations up to this point, Rick. That's just it. Remember the details that we talked about yesterday? It had nothing about Ukraine military. It did suggest a European force possibly in that. But now this is being thrown out there. So how reliable do you think this information is, Rick? I don't know, I don't know. It appears that there are last minute demands

being made by various parties in these negotiations. Russia's, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Agency is known as the SVR. They said today that European warmongers were sabotaging President Trump's peace plan. That's right. Russia Today is reporting this. It's saying that Europe is seeking to undermine US President Donald Trump's efforts to broker a peaceful resolution to Ukraine conflict. And that's according to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, commonly known as the SVR.

President Trump has pushed for a swift end to the hostilities since taking office in January with his administration holding several rounds of high-level talks with Russia. In a statement shared on Thursday, the SVR said the British and French intelligence agencies have been working to discredit Trump and derail negotiations between Moscow and Washington. The two countries' spy services have instructed employees of the now Russia-banned Anti-Corruption Foundation, founded by the late opposition figure Alexei Navalny, to dig up informational dirt and spread false claims about unofficial links between President Trump's associates and Russia.

Wait a minute, Doc. Let's go back to the 2016 campaign between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Okay. There was the dossier. Right. The dossier that the Democrats showed that President Trump did all kinds of unspeakable things with prostitutes in Moscow. And it later turned out that that dossier had been compiled by a quote, former MI6 spy for London. Yes, the infamous Steele dossier.

The Steele, Michael Steele. And so London's hands were all over that operation against Donald Trump. And who financed that operation, Rick? The Perkin Coy law firm on behalf of Hillary Clinton. Yes. So and Ukraine. There's all kinds of laundered money involving Ukraine. The whole thing stinks. But here we go again.

Here is London. The intelligence agencies in London. London and Paris. Trying to dig up dirt on Donald Trump and spread false claims about links between Donald Trump and Russian officials. It's the same playbook. They're doing it again. They're trying to crush Donald Trump's effectiveness in preventing World War 3.

They've wanted this war. Doc, you know back in 2016, the Russians were, they said in the fall of 2016, if Hillary Clinton wins, we're gonna have war. Yes, absolutely. Because they had the plan in place to use Ukraine then. And you remember that brief vision I had in the spring of 2016, my wife and I, we were walking our dogs.

It was a spring afternoon, you know, somewhere around, you know, 5, 6 p.m. It wasn't dark yet. And we were talking about the primaries. Donald Trump had not won the Republican nomination yet. And I saw this brief vision I saw a hand from like in the sky toss a rubber doorstop that came down and it went between a door that was closing and when it got to the door frame it couldn't close that's the doorstop was blocking it and I heard in my spirit not audibly heard in my spirit, not audibly, I heard in my spirit, Donald Trump is my doorstop.

And I pondered what that meant. I thought, well, he's blocking judgment. But as the years have gone by, I've concluded that he's blocking World War Three. that he's blocking World War Three. He's blocking the deep state's plan to fight Russia. And they've got to get him out. They got him out for four years. And what did they do with Biden?

We almost had a nuclear war. Right, and remember in the lead-up to the election how the information from the Hillary campaign, you know, where they were thrown out, you say at one hand a fear-mongering, but they might have had a plan in place that said we have the right to hit Moscow with nukes if we have some sort of cyber attack here in the US and I think they had the cyber attack planned they had it all worked out in fact I think was so planned that they had to go ahead and carry out that cyber attack

months later during the Trump administration remember that yes I do doc I will I would take it all the way back to 1999 and Y2K. I believe the purpose of Y2K was to put that was the cover story for a nuclear war because the Pentagon was telling the world in 1999 Russia's computers are antiquated. Yes. They're obsolete. Right, remember that. Their ICBMs are gonna malfunction at midnight on 1999,

and we've got to be prepared that their rockets are accidentally launched. And so Boris Yeltsin was president of Russia, but that night, on New Year's Eve. New Year's Eve, president of Russia, but that night... On New Year's Eve. New Year's Eve, something happened. What happened that night? He was replaced by Vladimir Putin.

That's right. And I believe a phone call, some kind of communication was sent to Bill Clinton, Hillary's husband, you know, remember him? And I think they said, hey, we're on to you. We know what you're doing with Y2K. Don't do it. We figured this out. And if you try it tonight, we're going to smoke you.

And what happened? Nothing. Nothing happened. Yes. My computer worked just fine the next day. Yeah, that was a deep state cover to start a nuclear war. And so the Clintons were in power. Then we fast forward to 2016. Looks like we're going to have a nuclear war with Russia if Hillary Clinton gets in.

The doorstop appears, blocks the door. For four years, the deep state did everything possible except get a rope and hang Donald Trump. If they would have had it, they would have done that too. But they did defeat him in 2020. And then we immediately started bombing Russia through Ukraine. And it got so bad that in the last months of 2024, we were hanging on by a thread day by day, thinking at any moment the Russians are

going to nuke us. Donald Trump's back in the White House. There's the door stop again. He's trying to stop the war. What are they doing? They're undermining him. They're sabotaging him. Why? He's blocking the war. They've got to get him out of there. They've got to do something that they can start this war again. It's extremely dangerous right now. These people are psychopaths. They want a world war. They want a nuclear war. And they believe they'll win it. Yeah, that's the crazy part.

And they don't care how many people on both sides die. They don't care. They're convinced they're going to win. But the Russians, they said today, their intelligence agency agency like their CIA said London and Paris are in cahoots against Donald Trump They didn't say it like that, but that's what they said British and French intelligence agencies have been working to discredit Trump and derail negotiations between Washington and Moscow. So as the two country spy services have instructed employees.

Oh, you read that one. Yes. Let's go ahead and finish this article, because there's some good statements in here. Well, they also approach staff from opposition investigative outlet Pruitt and Latvian-based Russian language website Medusa with the same task, that is to sabotage this process. Moscow has labeled FBK an extremist group while the two media outlets are listed as undesirable organizations. Their staff had fled Russia and now on the edge of survival, the SVR. So they're making the point here that there's been

cooperation from agencies and press outlets within Russia itself, working coordination with the British and French. There. It said the newly minted European warmongers are launching a campaign to undermine President Donald Trump's peacekeeping efforts. This is coming from their CIA. According to agency London and Paris are particularly interested in information on US business ventures with Russian energy giants, Gazprom and Roosevelt, and state corporations, Rosetech and Rosatom. The aim, it says, is to

damage US policy and disrupt peace talks. Now, those are the companies and the organizations that if we started a partnership with Russia to mine rare earth minerals in Russia and Ukraine in partnership with the Russians, these are the companies we'd be working with. That's right. So Gazprom, Roseneff, Rostec. So the Europeans are seeking information about the business deals that Steve Witkoff is negotiating with the Russians. You got it, Rick. That's what's happening. And SVR says what these guys are doing is they're the way they describe as they're stepping

on the same rake. Okay. European agencies remain committed to unscrupulous tactics in a bid to make Ukraine, the Ukraine conflict between European NATO members and Russia last forever. And what happens when you step on the on a rake, you get popped in the face. That's what happens. That's exactly what happens. Mr. Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, said that Western interference in Ukraine could force Russia to act. That's right.

That's being reported by Russia today. This is a number eight for control. In 2020, President Putin denounced Western nations for doing nothing to deliver on the promise not to expand NATO in Europe and for dismantling multiple security agreements designed to build trust. Peskov had this to say, if you aim to guarantee Ukraine's security by drawing it into NATO, you are violating Russia's security, Peskov explained. Western leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, chose not to heed Putin's calls, he added. Neither Macron nor other

European leaders wanted to listen to Putin when he told them that Russia had been cornered Today we are we talk about peace with the Americans yet the Europeans are demanding war the Europeans are demanding war Yes, and I still go back to that day in st Petersburg when we were there Rick and we were sitting there listening, watching Vladimir Putin directly speak to Emmanuel Macron and express his security concerns. And he said, let Russia protect France. Right, from who?

Who would Russia need to protect France from? There's only one player and the other player in the game. Yes, Macron was speechless. Yes, because it told him, it called him totally off guard. That was the expression on his face and everything, called him totally off guard. But Russia was saying back then, even back then during the first Trump administration,

that what we're seeing European countries doing and the West in general, is you're putting Russia in a corner. You started playing that game in 2014 in Ukraine with the collar revolution that you guys started there, and you better stop it now. Let's come to terms now. Let's have peace now. Let's come to terms now. Let's have peace now. Let's provide mutual security now. But it fell on deaf ears. We saw it that very day, Rick.

And in that same meeting, the late Shinzo Abe, who was Prime Minister of Japan at the time, was on the stage also. And Vladimir Putin was offering to officially end World War II. Yes. With Japan. I remember looking at Doc going, you mean there's still a war? Yes, over the Kuril Islands and Abbey was open to it. Yes. Maybe that's why he was assassinated. He was killed by a member of the Mooney Church. Yes, the CIA Church as I like to call it and so well general Shagoo had something to say. That's right

Here's Tass news agency Shagoo said that Europe wants to be ready for war with the Russian Federation by what date? Let me close my eyes. Let me guess 2030 there you go. I got it right. Yes, 2030. There you go. I got it right. Yes, you did. So TASS is reporting that European countries are launching an overt campaign to prepare for war with Russia. Not so overt really.

And representatives of Western political and military circles want to be ready for a clash by 2030. This was stated in an interview with TASS by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergey Shogun who you see pictured there Said that an undisguised campaign is unfolding in Europe to prepare for a military Conflict with the Russian Federation at different levels the possible timing of such a class clash

Excuse me is voiced from three to five years, he said. Already in 2030, European politicians and the military want to be able to fight us. Goes on in that article to say that Shogu highlighted that despite the Kiev authorities' efforts to prolong hostilities and simultaneously sell the natural resources of Ukraine, its territory, and the future of the Ukrainian people at a higher price to Europe. See they're onto it, Rick, in exchange for financing and arm supplies. The country's military economic and mobilization potential is weakened. Let's pause there for just a moment to explain to folks

what this means. Ukraine is for sale. And they're looking for the highest bidder right now. And so that's what's really happening here. The economy is in a state of deep crisis and depends on Western aid, the public debt is growing, which by the end of 2024 increased 167 billion, he said. At the same time, the states that support them, such as representatives of the Kiev regime, despite loud statements,

cannot meet all the demands of Kiev in the military sphere. In other words, Ukraine can no longer sustain itself. It cannot sustain itself as a state. It cannot sustain itself militarily. They're bankrupt. They're on the ropes. As Donald Trump would say, they have no cards to play. Except a couple trillion dollars worth of rare earth minerals. That's their card that they're playing, Doc. Right. Okay.

So Sergey Shagov, let's talk about him. He was a high ranking general, I guess the highest ranking general in Russia at one time, you know, equivalent of the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He was a defense minister of the Russian Department of Defense. He is currently secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. That is the official body of the Russian deep state. Right. I mean, that's as deep state in Russia as you're going to get.

And he's the secretary. And he said, Europe wants to fight us by the year 2030. This is 2025. We're five years away. Are you ready, my friend, are you ready for a nuclear war in five years? Let's say we get, let's say that we manage to get through

the rest of the 2020s, and this nuclear war is 2030, 31, 32, somewhere in there. We have five, maybe six, possibly seven years. What does it matter at that point? Are you ready? We have five, maybe six, possibly seven years. What does it matter at that point? Are you ready? Are you ready for a nuclear war? This has been, this has been the,

the purpose of this ministry now for 26 years. I had no idea when God showed me the vision of America burning back in 1998. I had no idea that it was in the 2030s. I thought it was like next month. Because that's how urgent the message was. Oh man, Doc, it was burning inside of me. I mean, I believed it was gonna happen any day because he made it real to me. And it has sustained me for 26 years. I now understand because I'm looking at the cycles.

I'm now confident that this war is sometime around the year 2030. It could be as early as 2029. But I know this. What I saw in that vision is not something I want to see in reality. See they they've gamed this out they they have war planners in the Kremlin that studied this a lot and this is what they've determined and it says that Moscow reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in the event of aggression by Western countries, as was stated in an interview with TOS

by General Shogu, who you see pictured there. In November 2024, the fundamentals of the state policy of the Russian Federation in the field of nuclear deterrence were amended, according to which Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in the event of aggression against it or the Republic of Belarus, including with the use of conventional weapons, he said. Russia is closely following the military preparations of European countries. He went on to say, in accordance with the national security strategy of the Russian Federation, in the event of foreign states committing unfriendly actions that pose a threat to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Russian Federation,

our country considers it legitimate to take symmetrical and asymmetric measures necessary to suppress such actions and prevent their recurrence, he said. Nuclear deterrence, as the Secretary of the Security Council noted, is carried out in relation to states and military coalitions that consider Russia as a potential enemy, possessing weapons of mass destruction or significant combat potential of general purpose forces and so he's making it very clear and making the statement out here this is our policy and just fill in the blank NATO yes and they are prepared to

use those weapons so doc next Friday is the last day for true news. It's surreal that I'm even saying these words. And I got to keep repeating it. I'm not quitting. Rick, the missiles will be in the sky. And they won't get it.

And they won't get it. They won't get it. So people will, you know, the doubters will say, well, I don't think he'll last a month after this. No, you just watch. We walk by faith. And the Lord will raise up. If people quit as donors, He'll bring me a hundred new ones. Right. See, my faith is in Almighty God and I actually believe him.

I actually believe he is God and I actually believe his word is true and I actually believe that he performs his promises. Amen. And I rest in his truthfulness, his faithfulness. I rest in it. I don't have to worry about it. All I have to do is obey him. And we will make this transition.

I'm going to work and work and work and work for the next five years to evangelize little children and build them up in the faith. And Rick, it's appropriate. When the ship was sinking, what do they always say? Children first. Children in the lifeboats first. We have to preserve the children. I never thought about that, Doc.

So, Doc, what's the background of this flare-up and tension between India and Pakistan? Well, we'll get into the article here, but just briefly, Pakistan and India have not had any positive feelings for each other for a very, very, very long time. Pakistan used to be part of India at one time, but there's no love lost between them. Both of them have nuclear weapons too, I point that out.

A few days ago, there's a disputed territory on the border between Pakistan and India. And about 30 tourists were killed by terrorists. India- From Pakistan. Right, from Pakistan, supposedly from Pakistan, and called the Kashmir revolution or something like that. OET. Right. And so India is saying that these terrorists, they're holding

Pakistan responsible for these terrorists. In other words, implying that it was state-sponsored. And so what they've done over the past several days is they've threatened Pakistan, they've revoked the visas of Pakistani citizens in India and gave them 48 hours to get out of the country. Everybody, all Pakistanis. All Pakistanis, every one of them. So a day after India unilaterally suspended a bilateral water sharing treaty,

they had a, there's seven rivers that they share and basically India controls it, but they've basically India is saying we're shutting off the water to you guys. It downgraded diplomatic relations following a deadly terrorist attack in the Kashmir. Pakistan on Thursday announced countermeasures similar to New Delhi's and stressed that the country would consider any changes

in the flow of water an act of war. India on Wednesday announced that it is holding the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance, closing a border crossing with Pakistan, cancelling regional visa exemptions for Pakistani citizens and downgrading diplomatic relations. New Delhi took the steps one day after 26 civilians, 25 Indians and one Nepalese were killed in the attack. A little known militant group, that gives you a clue there, Kashmir resistance claimed responsibility. India also put its security forces on high alert.

Said that any attempt to stop or divert the flow of water belonging to Pakistan as per the Indus Waters Treaty and the usurpation of the rights of lower Ruparian will be considered an act of war and responded to with full force across the complete spectrum of national power. That's coming from the Pakistani Prime Minister's office. India followed through on that today and shut it off.

So, Doc, why is this a big deal? It's a big deal because, as I said before, both Pakistan and India have nuclear weapons. We you know, we get so caught up in you know, thinking about the US and Russia nuclear and China in the US nuclear that we forget that this region of the world here, if if a nuclear war were to start up, it would probably be right here because neither India nor Pakistan would withhold nuking each other. They would do it.

They've stated it clearly. This could be one of those flash points that you didn't see coming in the world that could really flash out, not just in World War III, but World War IV, because we're in World War III now. But World War IV, that goes nuclear and once the bombs start going back and forth, nuclear bombs, then the restraints are off for everybody else too.

The only thing I can say, Doc, is that there are demons working over time to bring death and destruction to the world. Because if millions of people die in war, they will never be saved. That's right. And Satan looks at that as a victory. Yes. If 10, 20, 30 million people die through a nuclear war, those are Those are 10 20 30 million souls that will never know Jesus. That's right So folks hell is behind us

Satan is the one he comes to steal kill and destroy and We're seeing him being very active. That's why you got to take this seriously He means business is not them little devil. Some little devil. Walk around. No, he plans to bring death and destruction to the world. And if he could pull it off, he'd kill everyone. Yes. Everybody. He's not a good guy. Nothing good in him at all, just death and destruction. And so be aware he is, he knows that his time is running out. It's running out. He knows it. And he wants to bring as much death and destruction as quickly as possible.

So be aware of it. Next story. Again, I'm not going to go through the whole story China tells us to cancel all Unilateral tariffs if it once talks the other day President Trump said that The tariffs will come down substantially and a deal would be done pretty quickly and China came back today and said what are you talking about? Yes, we're not talking. We're not gonna we're not having any negotiations and we're not gonna have negotiations until you bring the tariffs down and that's when we will talk. So Xi Jinping has called Donald Trump's bluff. That's the only other way to say it doc. Right. He's called his bluff because when Donald Trump backed down earlier this week or was it late last week? No, it was this week. Was it this week?

And Secretary Bessent, that was that was the opening to Xi Jinping. Hey, we're winning, even though they're hurting. They're hurting the Chinese. The ships are empty. The cargo containers are sitting on docks. They're hurting. You know, we have to keep in mind that China is Willing to sacrifice millions of its people to accomplish its goals

They would they would actually consider a Relief to get rid of a hundred million people They don't care So that happened today and the Chinese said there's not going to be any negotiations. Dialogue and negotiation must be equal, respectful and reciprocal. We will fight if we must. Yes. And he means it.

They absolutely mean it. Newsweek U.S. warned of something worse than recession. That's coming from Ray Dalio, billionaire hedge fund manager. He said the US is facing a situation worse than a recession. He made these comments on NBC's Meet the Press a couple days ago. And he's comparing the current situation to the 1930s and said that the trade disputes and rising powers rivaling the US could bring down global economic and geopolitical structures in a way

not witnessed since the end of World War II. Yes. How about that? We're in a cycle. I heard Charles Nenner yesterday tell Greg Hunter. He said that the cycles for 2025 and 2026 are parallel to 2028 and 2029. 1928, 1929. Yes. Yes. I'm sorry. But yes, he was making those direct comparisons. So you see all these guys lining up on these dates and these numbers. Because they're cycles.

These are big social changes that are taking place. You got the rise of artificial intelligence and robotics. There's a lot of uncertainty out there in various markets. How do you invest? What do you invest in? What's going to be the the the winning play? Well, you're on term winning play is a biblical play

Now here's one rolling in the snow. He's by himself and he's having a great time. So here's an animal that's black and white, obviously is not camouflaged in the jungle at all and you know gets pulled down out of trees and rolls down hills and and everything. How is it Rick that they're able to survive? Well I've figured it out so let's watch it again and I'll explain my theory. Okay. Okay so my theory is there are no such thing as panda bears. They don't exist. They're not real. What we're seeing are drunk humans in bear costumes. They're all drunk. They're

just humans and they're drunk and they're wearing bear costumes. There's no such thing. There's no animal that the ages way, Doc. Look, they're just a bunch of drunks, alright? Are you suggesting that the Chinese imported these and they've got a man in a suit? Yes, they're drunk Chinese people. Because what animal behaves this way? Yesterday we focused on some aspects of practical Christian living and in this last part of Romans chapter 12 we'll be focusing on how can believers respond to evil, conflict, and injustice in the world around us. And Paul is going to lay it out because he experienced that directly.

And so he is going to give practical insight from the Word of God and from his own experience under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. So starting at verse 14 today, and I'm reading from the King James, bless them which persecute you, bless and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another, mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather

give place unto wrath. For it is written, vengeance is mine, I will repay saith the Lord. Therefore, if thine enemy hunger, feed him. If he thirsts, give him drink. And so, you know, I've told you in the past, you know, at times I've struggled with implementing some of these verses like this. All these kind of verses love your enemies.

That's easy to teach when you don't have an enemy. this. All these kind of verses love your enemy that all that's easy to teach when you don't have an enemy. They're easy to teach. But you let an enemy appear in your life and watch how you struggle with implementing these words from the Bible. And if you don't have an enemy, you're probably not doing something right. Because the cross offends.

I mean, you don't have to be offensive in it. The cross is an offense, but that doesn't mean you have to be offensive. The moment you have to be offensive. The moment you start to understand your identity in Christ, you'll get an enemy. The moment you start to walk in fulfilling God's purpose for your life, you'll get an enemy. The moment you start entering your promised land. You'll get an enemy The moment you start entering your promised land you'll get an enemy That's guaranteed So the question is how do we how do we respond to an enemy? So for me and

I I'm very transparent with the Lord. I I don't I don't have a problem telling him how I feel about things. With the understanding, Lord, this is how I feel about it. This is what's going on inside of me, but help me do it your way. I'm just telling you, this is what I would like to do. I would like you to send a lightning bolt and sends the hair off of their head. And that's that word curse there. That word curse is kaderatso, and it means to call down judgment from heaven. It's not cursing as in Yosemite Sam, you know, going rabble rabble rabble. I know this is saying, I pray that God strikes you dead.

Well, I would never pray that but Lord, you can if you could just burn the hair off their hair head. Yeah, just sends their their tail. hair off their hair head. Yeah, just sends their their tail. Right. Just do something that makes them realize that they're doing something bad. So I've asked you in the past. Lord, how do I? How do I bless the people who are attacking me hurting me, trying to destroy me? You know, it's one thing to have somebody lying about you, somebody be mean to you, but when you get somebody who is out to destroy you,

I mean to destroy you. Yes. Not just hurt you, destroy you. You know you have an enemy. destroy you. You know you have an enemy. And so the way the Lord taught me was, well, Rick, what's the greatest blessing that a person can have? I said to be saved to be in your kingdom and filled with the Holy Spirit and walking in grace. And he said, well then pray that for them. He said, if they were, if they were living that way, they wouldn't be attacking you. So pray that blessing on them. Well, that's easy.

Well, that's easy Lord save that person Fill that man with your Holy Spirit Lord bless that woman with your grace your presence Transform her. It's just that's the way to pray. It it doesn't mean Lord Bless them with a million dollars Make everything that they touch success. No, that's not it.

Bless them that they come into the knowledge of Christ. That they are filled with his spirit. When they are filled with his spirit, they're not going to be attacking a brother or sister. or filled with his spirit, they're not going to be attacking a brother or sister. So reject, the natural impulse is to, like Doc said, call down fire. Lord, make the earth open up and they fall in a hole. I mean, it make you feel good to think about it, but that's not the answer. You know why?

Maybe that person deserves it, but that attitude in you is gonna poison you. Yes. And the main thing, God is not trying to reward evildoers. He's trying to prevent you from becoming evil like them. Yes. You don't want to be like them. Someday you'll be attacking other people and then somebody will be praying that a lightning bolt hits you. Right. And aren't you glad that no one cursed Paul to death? Think about that. So Paul is

speaking about this from the perspective of being an evildoer, of persecuting the saints. Yes. And, you know, thank God that nothing happened to him, and God redeemed Paul in that situation. God may redeem these individuals in your own life, what you consider an enemy in your life. God may have a plan to redeem them and use you to bless them to do it. That's a whole other lesson. And God's been taking me down that road lately. Maybe the reason this person in your life who's acting so ugly. Maybe the reason is I'm trying to save that man or woman. Right. And I put them in your presence,

and the way that you respond to their ugliness is going to affect them. Now, see, when you start thinking about it that way, now you know that person's eternal destiny is impacted by the way you respond to their hatred. Remember what I said yesterday about Alan Combs? I just loved on that guy. He would get me on his radio show and attack me and I would just love on him.

Alan, I love you, I love you. And he'd shout, I don't want you to love me. But it was affecting him. What do you do with somebody that refuses to be angry at you? So we are to pray that God's grace is extended to those who are seeking to harm us. And the only way His grace is going to be extended to them is if they yield to Him. And if they yield to Him, that's a good thing. We don't want to have even the trace of bitterness in us.

That's the poison. And these scriptures about love your enemy, bless those who... This is to prevent, this is not, hey, this is like some warped religious idea that put blessings on bad people. No, this is to prevent you from becoming bad. That's right. And when you become bitter and angry, you're moving in their direction. Hate's a killer. Yes. I mean, Jesus blessed

His persecutors while He was on the cross. How do you bless them? By forgiving them. Father, forgive them for they don't know what they're doing. All right, aren't you glad? Aren't you glad that that's a God of grace there? He has more grace than we do. We're not wired for grace. We're not wired to give out grace. That's why we need a Holy Spirit living in us. All right, this is a, I'm gonna say something. We are required to forgive those who persecute us to harm us. But God isn't. Yeah. Okay.

He's not he he's not obligated to forgive them for what they're doing to you. See he can handle meeting out justice to somebody without bitterness getting inside him. You and I can't. We can't do it. We're not wired to do it. God is able to deal with wrongdoers without him becoming emotionally involved with negative anger and, you know and angry emotions. He's trying to prevent us from allowing

the root of bitterness to get into us. Because eventually you'll be swimming in the gall of bitterness. Yes. You know what gall is? Sour vinegar. Yes. You know what gall is? Sour vinegar. Yes. It's bile like out of your liver.

That's that's what that's how God describes bitterness like bile in your liver. What does your liver do? It it's a filter of all the junk in your body, a waste. He says, don't do this. I don't want you to go there. But just because you forgive your enemies, that does not require God to forgive them, he will deal with them He will deal with them in the right way. But his way is always towards bringing them to repentance. How he deals with them, that's his business.

Let him make those decisions. Amen. In other words, that's God's department, not yours. That's right. First Peter, chapter two, verse 33, Peter talking about Jesus when he was persecuted by the Jews. He said, When he was cursed, he didn't curse back. When he suffered, he didn't threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously. So this is our pattern, this is our model. When you're cursed, don't curse back. When you suffer, don't threaten.

Commit yourself to the one who judges righteously. Yes. In other words, Father so-and-so is really doing ugly things against me. I bless them. Whatever you do, Father, that's for you to decide. And that keeps the poison out of your heart. And don't give God suggestions on what he should do. Lord, I'm going to bless them. Don't you dare strike them down. But what I've learned too, Rick, is that if I have those feelings, if I have anything, that sense of retribution, that sense in my mind justice, God's justice is different than our justice. But in my mind, you know, where my feelings are hurt or anything is I tell the Lord, Lord, I'm just

going to be honest with you. I'm struggling with this. I'm having a difficult time, Lord, loving this person, this enemy, this person that did this that thing I honestly Lord I'm falling short on this my feelings are telling me this but your word tells me this yes your word tells me to bless I'm gonna be obedient to your word is not my feelings precisely that's the way to do it don't don't hesitate to be transparent with God. He already knows what you're thinking. That's right. But do you know what you're thinking? Sometimes it's a good idea to say it out loud, and that way, you know, you have it confess your fault one to another, but also confess your

faults to God too. And that way God can deal with the poison. That's just what I've learned from my own experience, Rick. Yes. I've said this in the past about myself. I try to be very transparent about this. I know what my weakness is. My weakness is anger and bitterness. I don't get in a rage that, hey, I'm gonna get even with this person. Now, mine is retaining pain. It's very difficult for me. I'm like, I don't understand why this person

has been so cruel to me when I've not done anything except bless this person. That causes emotional pain in me and I have to work at not retaining that pain. Yeah, it's difficult. It is difficult. It's very difficult because that pain will harm your walk with God also. And keep in mind here too that Paul is speaking particularly about persecution. Now persecution isn't you know the Baptist got ahead of us at the chicken place after church on Sunday. That's and you're offended by it. No that's not persecution. That's Paul is saying. Yeah,

that's a whole different area. That's another area of sin in your life. But there are those who go through genuine persecution. This ministry has gone through genuine persecution over the past two and a half decades. And there's been many times, you know, it could have struck out, struck back and do all that. But the Bible tells us that the, you know, our responsibility is to leave it with the Lord. That's his department, that's his purview.

It's not ours. Ours is to share the word. If we get persecuted because we share the word and stand on the word of God, so be it. But Yes, and you just have to be patient. Be patient. God will be patient. God is long-suffering with the persecutor. Yeah. He'll give them time to repent.

He was long-suffering with you. Why not give the opportunity for God to be. He was long suffering with you. Why not give the opportunity for God to be long suffering with the persecutor? There was a man and I'm not going to say his name because I'm not trying to cause judgment on him or embarrassment or anything, but there was a prominent man several years ago who was on a rant, a public rant against me. He was going on Christian radio stations. I mean, hundreds of networks. Okay. He was putting me in his books. He was saying it was all about Israel. Okay. And he was calling me a lot of names and he was working at getting people to turn against me.

Yeah and people close to you too. So even yes he even went to my son and pressured my son to publicly rebuke me which was about as low as you can get. but it's about as low as you can get. That's really stooping low, but I held my peace and I didn't strike out at him. And I never responded to his public, I never publicly responded to his public slandering of me. But in the past year, his ministry

has come to a complete halt. I'm not going to go into details in it, but let's just say the Lord is dealing with that man. Yeah. And it's... But... And on the human side, you want to... Rejoice over it. No, no, no, I'm not going to rejoice over. I feel so. No, no, I'm saying that normally humanly any other person, humanly, you'd say you got yours.

You see, you got yours. But you were believers. We can't allow that to happen. You're not you cannot read. When you see your heavenly father discipling somebody you cannot rejoice in it no do not rejoice because you see somebody being punished by god you know when i was a kid if my dad was was paddling my brother. If I stood there and laughed about it, he might just turn and come over and give me a whack. I'd about really share that same thing, right? Right. Yeah. You think that's funny? Well, I'll just give you a, come on, I'll give you something to laugh about.

Yeah. No, the best thing to do is go to another room and be quiet. Yeah. And hope your dad moves on. So that's the way it is when he's punishing somebody. Don't rejoice. Don't write blogs about it. Don't make podcasts about it. Don't send emails. Just be quiet. And in this case, for this particular man, it took several years. God was patient with him. I don't know what else that man did during those years against me or others. He might have been attacking others too. I don't know. But at some point God said, okay, I'm going to deal with you now. That's the lesson that we have here. Stay humble, folks.

Stay humble. Stay humble. Deuteronomy, old covenant, vengeance is mine. Deuteronomy 32, 25, 35. Vengeance is mine and recompense at the time when their foot slides for the day of their calamity is at hand, their doom rushes at them. That's God taking vengeance, not you, not me. So just rest, rest, know that your father is aware of what is being done against you and he will act at an appropriate time.

Psalm 37 verse 8, cease from anger and forget wrath. Don't fret it only leads to evil doing. Amen. See what Paul's teaching in the new covenant, it's just an extension of the old covenant. God was telling the Jews in the old covenant, cease from anger, forsake wrath. Don't fret, it only leads to evil doing. By blessing your enemies,

we are in alignment with God's will. We are participating in his desire to redeem their souls. First Timothy chapter two, verses three and four, for this is the good and acceptable in the sight of the Lord, God our savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. He desires all people to be saved.

Is there an elect? Yes. God wants everybody to be in the elect. Will they be in the elect? No. But his desire is that they all be in the elect. So we're here to pray for our enemy's salvation. And when we do this, we're in alignment with God's will. Verse 15, rejoice with them that do rejoice and weep with them that we share in the joys and the sadness of your brothers and sisters in Christ.

When they're rejoicing, rejoice with them. When they're hurting, be empathetic and hurt with them. Let them know that you feel their pain. You understand what they're going through. This requires a selfless heart, no envy, no rivalry. You see somebody rejoicing, oh, they got blessed. And standing there thinking, oh, how come I didn't get blessed? Maybe because you got that attitude you got right now. Do you ever think about that? The people that look at a Christian who's rejoicing after being blessed and they're quietly saying, well, I didn't get blessed. Well, think about why you're not getting blessed

because you have that attitude. Rejoice. Rejoice when others are blessed. When they're joyful, rejoice with them. When they're hurting, when they're weeping, weep with them. Yes. Comfort. Sing and shout when they're happy and comfort them when they're crying.

Yes. We talk about doctors, physicians that have good bedside manners. What does that mean? When you have a doctor who has good bedside manners, what does that mean about that doctor, that he or she is empathetic to the patient, is comforting the patient, encouraging the patient, genuinely cares about the patient. This is all this verse is saying. Yes. Just have good bedside manners, be like a doctor that truly loves the patients and is in health care because he or she truly cares about the health of people.

So we ought to be in the church because we truly care about the souls of other people. care about the souls of other people. We truly care. It's not fake, it's not made up. We really care. It takes your eyes off yourself. Verse 16, be of the same mind one toward another, mind not high things but condescend to men of low estate, be not wise in your own conceits. Modern English, be of the same mind one toward another, don't set your mind on high things but associate with the humble. Don't be wise in your own conceit. Nothing funnier than somebody who's conceited about their humility. You know? Be humble. Don't be wise in your own conceit.

Again, it's the same theme, passionately urge. The verse is urging us to cultivate a shared humility and unity and harmony within the body of Christ. That if one member of the body of Christ is hurting, we should all hurt. If one is rejoicing, we should all rejoice. This is the brotherly love, Philadelphia. We spoke about a day or two ago.

Set aside personal emotions and agendas and just embrace your brothers and sisters and share with their emotions what they're going through and be there for them. And you're being an extension of the Lord Himself. When somebody's crying, when you put your arm around their shoulder and comfort them, that's Christ. That's Christ working through you. When you say a kind word at the appropriate time, that's Christ speaking through you. I think I told the story the other day, just happened a couple days ago. I got a text at 520 a.m. from a former employee who has not worked here for nine years.

But I was in prayer, and I got a text. To me, that text came from heaven because of what was in that text. That was like God saying, I got to find somebody right now that's awake and has got Rick's phone number and will text this message to him. I got just the guy. Somebody who hasn't worked for me for nine years. Yeah. That meant a lot to me. So you know, and I told him, because he, I'm not sure he has a deep walk with Christ yet.

And I told him, I said, if you've never been used by God, you were used that day. You clearly heard God speak to you, which meant something to him. He's like, really? I said, oh, you have no idea. You have no idea how that affected me. That was God using you to send a message. A message from God went through you, and then you sent it to me at 520 a.m. That's how that's how this works. Be thinking of prestige. Don't we all want to be prestigious? We are to avoid high things. Now, God gives it to you. That's His gift. Right. But walk in and live in it and live in it humbly. Pride divides, humility unites. Remember that, pride divides, humility unites.

You put one proud person in a room, there's going to be division. Condescend to men of low estate. It means associate with those who are humble. Yet so many people are trying to be accepted in high circles. Yes. High circles of politics, of business, of society. What's the society page of newspapers? I guess they still have those.

I don't know. It's been so long since I've held a newspaper in my hand. But the magazines, People magazine, Hollywood Reporter, all these gossip magazines, what is that about? It's appealing to your desire to associate with the high minded, of a high estate. That's what those magazines are doing. They sell magazines to sell advertising by appealing to your inner desire, your wish that you were invited to those parties.

Yeah. Because it says you're not high enough to be invited to these parties. There are dinners and parties and things going on in the world. dinners and parties and things going on in the world Among the upper class and you are not in it. But here you can read about it You can see the pictures if you buy this magazine And you can pretend you can pretend and you can continue to Veinly wish that someday you will be in one of those parties They're appealing to that desire to be among those of high estate. There's no magazines out there showing people being invited to low estate events. Well, here's so-and-so with a group of homeless people.

You're not going to sell magazines with that, those kind of photographs, because it doesn't appeal to the flesh. Be not wise in your own conceits. That's a warning against self-reliant pride. Yes. So this rejection of self wisdom, that aligns with the call to bless persecutors with the instruction to share emotions because humility fosters unity and empathy. Proud people are not empathetic because they're about themselves. Verse 17, recompense to no man evil for evil, provide things honest in the sight of all men.

Recompense means repay. Repay no one for their evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all people. Recompense no one. That means reject the urge to retaliate Don't Daydream about letting the air out of all four tires tires on her car. All right. Don't think that way right Do not retaliate

It's only going to bring, it will bring God's punishment on you. You'll have to deal with you on it. Now, this is in opposition to what, you know, what had been traditionally taught, because what were they taught up to that point? It's an eye for an eye, tooth for tooth. That's the way you did it. You paid people back for what they did for you. And Paul is flipping this on its head. He said, oh well, we're gonna go beyond that.

We're gonna leave that behind. It's not going to be an eye for an eye anymore. Don't do this transactional, you think you got to balance the scales of justice here. It's not your department. It doesn't belong to you. It's not in your job description to pay back evil for evil.

description to pay back evil for evil. But it is, Doc, this desire to pay back, it is in our natural instinct. Yes. You're not the first person to have those thoughts. It's in our human instincts and the Bible is telling us it is strictly prohibited. Don't go there. Don't think about it. Don't meditate on it. Don't even have daydreams about what it would look like if there was retaliation on that person. Because retaliation fuels conflict. But spiritual integrity will foster peace. Look at the Jews and the Arabs in the Middle East. Retaliation, retaliation, retaliation. Are you killed my uncle?

Okay, well, I'm going to kill your kids. Okay, well, then I'm going to blow up your, you know, this has been going on for years in Palestine. They've lost track of what they're retaliating about. The only one who can bring peace there is Jesus Christ. That's probably one of the worst examples in the country, in the world, of that mindset of retaliation. And so embarrassing to the body of Christ, we have prominent preachers in this country

that endorse retaliation. Yes. And foster it and encourage it. Especially in foreign policy. Yes. It's embarrassing to the body of christ we ought to be saying to both sides love each other put down your weapons but that's not the christian message regarding israel and palestine we We need the Jesus peace plan.

Yes. One day, Jesus is gonna settle all conflict. Yes, he is. And it's not gonna be pretty when he does. But that's within his job description. That's within what he does. He is the righteous judge, not you. And when and how he does it,

only he knows and he can decide. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. That just means live with integrity. Let your actions, your words, your motives, let it be upright, respectable in the eyes of both believers and unbelievers. Right. I mean, when people look at your life and your interactions with family and with the public and you're out to eat at a restaurant, do they view you as noble, honorable, admirable, or do they see you as just some other complainer out there or some other person out there. You know, restaurants are a big deal to me because you see these servers and these waitresses at times, you know they're overwhelmed, and you know that they are just under such stress.

They're dealing with all sorts of customers, and nobody likes their, unless their food is absolutely perfect. They're going to let somebody know and it's usually not the server's fault at all, but they get the brunt of the complaints and things like that. I go out of my way to treat servers and waiters with a great deal of respect. I make sure to tip well, you know, and to be kind. I want them when I leave, I want them not happy that I'm leaving, but hoping that I will come back.

Yes, with a good memory. Not that I'm leaving, but hoping I can come back. That they say, hey, no, that's a good couple. Yeah. I like that. They're good people. And I've prayed with servers to in restaurants. They say, How you doing? Well, it's been a rough day. And they might tell you why. Now I just look at

that as an open door. I mean, that's a wide open door. I mean, that's obvious. I mean, that's obvious. Honorable conduct requires intentional effort. You have to work. You have to work at it. Our natural ways to be dishonorable. You have to work at being honorable. We have to plan and prioritize actions that reflect God's best.

And that fits right in with the scripture because that word provide in the Greek is not to, you know, while you're going about doing things, provide things on us. No, the word actually means to foresee or plan ahead, to plan on being honest, to plan on being honorable, not just as a course of nature, which you should be doing anyway, but thinking ahead, planning ahead to be honest, planning ahead to be honorable, planning ahead to be honest, planning ahead to be honorable, planning ahead to be admirable.

If it's right, because you know that when you do it, you're going to honor God and you're going to impact another person's life and move them closer to Jesus Christ. So you plan, you actively plan to be honorable. Now, from time to time, Satan will put somebody in your path to completely mess up that plan. It's like a tripwire. You weren't expecting to stumble over a tripwire. But that's what Satan does. He puts tripwires in our path. Just get back up and straighten it out and keep going. So refusing to repay evil for evil means that you have to rest entirely in your trust in God's justice. Yes.

It keeps coming back to this thing of trust. God has a plan. He has a way Trust it Trust him his way is perfect If there's anything that's been happening to me in the recent months with through morning manna It is a work of grace inside of me to trust God's plan. I can feel it. There's something different. I'm expressing it to my Father in morning prayer. Father, if that's your plan, let's go for it. Um, I'm expressing to you how I feel about it.

How it's impacting me, but that's your plan. Let's go. Amen. I can handle it because once you know, it's his plan, you can handle anything. Because once you know it's his plan, you can handle anything. So this trust in God's plan, that requires us to surrender the desire for vengeance. Because you're now relying on God's perfect timing and justice and method by which he brings judgment on the person or persons or entity that is harming you. Just trust, rest and trust.

And that your actions, your words, your behavior be honorable. Verse 18, if it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peacefully, peaceably with all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Keep that in the forefront of your thinking. Okay, my my assignment today is do the best I can do to live peacefully, peaceably with every person that I encounter today. Right. Paul acknowledges here it's not always possible. And obviously from Paul's life, there were times where just by the nature of his preaching and his teaching, he ran into conflicts.

He was stoned, left for dead. But he's saying to believers here, as much as it's within your power to do it, live peaceably with all men. Don't seek out conflict. There's enough conflict in the world on its own. Don't seek it out. Don't generate it. And seek to make peace. I mean, it used to be, Rick, and you brought this up a little bit earlier, especially as it relates to modern Christians and foreign policy, it used to be the earmark of Christianity to seek peace, to be peacemakers. Jesus said, blessed are the peacemakers. And that was a hallmark of Christian living,

a hallmark of a Christian mindset, was seeking peace. Today, not so much. I mean, even within modern Christianity, I don't know if you call it Christianity or not anymore. But it seems like even within, not trying to be political, but even within the MAGA movement, stuff like that, just want to be a fight. Let's get the fight on. It's aggressive.

It's UFC mindset. It's cage fighting. Yeah, that's it. Yeah. It's cage fighting. Yeah, that's it. Yeah. It's cage fighting. Look, the number one political hero of American Christians is a guy who loves cage fighting. That is going to get into you. You know, in the dedicate, Rick, if you participated or attended the gladiatorial games, they wouldn't

let you fellowship with the church. I know. They did. For those who don't know who what the, it's like a pastor's manual back from the early church in the first couple centuries, giving practical how to manage a congregation guidelines to elders and teachers and pastors of churches. And they, I mentioned this before, they wouldn't allow anyone that was serving in the military. They wouldn't allow actors or actresses

to be a part of the congregation. And if you participated in or were attending any of the blood games that they called them, you were not welcome to fellowship. But I'll be, again, I'll be transparent. I like to watch people fight. I'm telling you the truth, but it's not right. The man, the guy in me says,

"'Hey, let's watch these fight. "'This is gonna be pretty good. But the Christ in me says, your eyes shouldn't be watching this. That's why over the years as I research news, I've had to so many times close my eyes to stuff I was seeing on the Internet as I was searching for news for true news.

It was just like wading through blood and guts and filth and garbage for hours every day to find news to talk about. Why? Because all this other stuff's out there. It gets in front of you. Don't look at it. you got it gets in front of you. Don't look at it.

And the nature of podcasting today is to create conflict. Yes. Isn't it? Yes. Let's find something to fight about today. What are we fighting about today? Extreme conflict. Never about solutions. Never. Now it's a rare occasion that in modern podcasting, broadcasting, that people are seeking solutions to anything. They'll sit there and moan and complain about situation. And so let's fight about this. I'm on the right and you're on the left. Let's fight.

Which is another reason the Lord is taking us away from news podcasting, because it's become something that Christians shouldn't be in. There's no good way to do it now in the climate that we're in. Because to get the numbers, to get the viewers, you have to become extreme. Oh yeah. When we were kids, Rick, you know how you draw a crowd on the playground?

Start a fight. Yeah, sure. Every kid in the playground would come to see the fight, right? And so it's the same way today. It works. People are drawn to a conflict, to a fight. And yet here, Paul is saying, live peaceably.

Well, you know, if every podcaster did that today, they'd all have to shut down. That's right. So there's a, there's a financial motive in strife. I hadn't thought about that aspect of it, right? Yes, there's a financial motive in strife. Wow. Fighting cells. sells. Come on doc, if you get two ticket windows, one says buy a ticket to watch these people make up and be friends. The other says buy a ticket to watch these two guys beat the snot out of each other. Which one are you buying a ticket for? Conflict sells. You make money with conflict.

That's why the world operates this way. The war industry operates on it. They need conflict in the world to make more money. Right. Political parties need conflict to get more votes. Politicians need conflict to get more airtime on TV. Right. You know, they don't interview any reasonable statesmen. They interview somebody who says something ridiculous.

So this qualifier, if it be possible, what that means is that peace may not always be achievable due to the actions of other people, yet you and I must exhaust every effort to obtain peace. to just exhaust every effort to obtain peace. Right, to earnestly pursue it. Yeah, you're not guaranteed, but at least if it ends up that you, there can be no peace with a certain person.

You can say to God, I did everything possible and know that God would say, yes, you did, I watched it. Let me deal with this other person. So when you constantly try to reconcile with somebody and they spurn you, you're doing everything if it be possible to live at peace, then at some point the Lord says, step I'll deal with that person as much as lieth in you meaning doing everything within your power to maintain peace. Self-control, deference, humility, guarding your lips. to maintain peace. It's difficult.

It is difficult when especially people that are bullies and you're thinking that person needs to be put in their place. That doesn't mean physical confrontation. It can be a verbal confrontation. Like that person needs to be put in their place. He or she is a bully. But you have to refrain from that verbal confrontation. You have to do everything possible to maintain an atmosphere of peace.

And if that means walking out of the room, just go. Just leave. That's within your power. That's in your power. And you just disarmed a person who was trying to have a fight. I'm going to skip down here, verse 19. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath, for it is written, vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord.

Again, self-explanatory. Dearly beloved, speaking to the saints in the church, a passionate plea to Christian believers to reject the urge to seek vengeance, to choose grace over retaliation when you're wronged, to bless your persecutors, to do everything possible to be at peace with them. You know, I'll tell you, the kind of person that's very difficult to ever get along with

is the kind of person who loves fighting. There are people who have a temperament who love to fight. They're argumentative. They're divisive. They're contrary. They like fighting. They just like it. They like to be in a group of people and at the given time, they have planned when they're going to drop, they're going to roll up a grenade out on the floor. A verbal grenade. And they like it. I've been around people like that. I don't like to be around them. I avoid them. Because I know it's their nature to fight. You think, okay, you're looking at your watch.

We've been here five minutes. He hasn't insulted anybody yet. It's coming. Just wait. It's coming. You know anybody like that? Just keep looking at your watch. Okay, 10 minutes.

He's going to insult somebody. And then there it is. Boom. There comes the insult. And now what? somebody and then there it is, boom, there comes the insult. And now what you've got bad feelings in the room. Somebody might actually leave and say, I'm going home. What's wrong? I had nothing, I just want to go home.

What it is is, hey, that person just was insulting, deliberately dropped a verbal bomb to start a fight because they like it. Why? They're in charge. It puts them in charge. They're in control, even though it's negative, they're in control. How do you deal with them?

Take away their control. Don't let them get that reaction out of you. They're trying, they're trying, they need the emotional reaction. They feed off of it. That's their energy. It's like a leech that needs blood. There are people who need confrontation. That's their food. It's a sick mindset, but they feed off of reaction to their confrontational ways. It's warped, they get some kind of warped,

sick, twisted enjoyment from it. Once you recognize that, and that's what drives that person, don't feed them. Refuse to give them the energy that they're looking for. They'll eventually leave and go find somebody else that will feed them. Because grace will break the cycle. Because grace will break the cycle. I think this is speaking to people today.

Give place unto wrath wrath god's wrath step aside step aside and allow god's wrath to address the evil once again trust him trust his ways trust his plan trust his timing trust his method just Just give place under God's wrath You get out of the way and let God's wrath do its business Yes You're yielding to God's authority Just get out of the way see the sooner you get out of the way the sooner he will act on them the sooner he will act on them. The more you try to bring it about, the slower it happens.

You're an impediment to God's dealing with that person. Just get out of the way, yield, stand back. You literally, when that person is doing those kind of you just imagine in your mind you're just saying, Hey, you know what, I'm going to, I'm going to step over here. My father's going to deal with this. You know, just go to the Lord and say, Father, do you hear what they're saying about me? Do you hear the names they just called me? Did you see? That look that person just gave me Just let the Lord deal with it He'll do it his way at the right time for go vengeance

Give place to God's wrath and that will empower you to live in his grace. Verse 21, no, wait, 20, got two more. Verse 20, therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him and if he thirsts, give him drink for in so doing thou shall heap coals of fire on his head. When somebody's acting ugly, what do they do if you just start blessing them?

How can they continue to act ugly if you're just keeping good things on them? Again, this is so difficult to put into practice, but once you do it and you see the impact it has on an enemy, then you're like, okay, I got to do this again And Rick the Lord is saying make this personal to that word Says feed it's not well, I will drive through McDonald's and get you something No The word for feed there means you put food in in your hand and you bring it up to their mouth And allow them to eat out of your hand

Mmm, that's what the Greek word means Feed them feed them by hand and you bring it up to their mouth and allow them to eat out of your hand. That's what the Greek word means. Feed them, feed them by hand. Get food in your hand and bring it up to their mouth and they eat out of your hand. But what are we thinking? Oh yeah, when I get this handful of mashed potatoes up close enough, I'm gonna smear it on their face. Yeah.

No, this word feed me, it's very tender. It's very personal. It's intimate. It's not just let's eat, but I will feed you. You open your mouth, I'm gonna put the food in your mouth. But it's radical generosity to your enemies. Meeting their physical needs with your compassionate care. To not follow your base natural instincts to get even, but to do the opposite. See, Jesus' system isn't upside down, it's right side up. The devil's system is upside down. The world was right side up in the Garden of Eden.

Adam turned it upside down. Jesus came to set it back upright. That's why it seems so contrary to everything. It is. The Jesus is trying to get us to do it the way he was supposed to be the first place. So for in doing so, thou shall heap coals of fire on his head. That means your acts of kindness will lead to conviction or shame on the enemy. Your critic, your persecutor. Coals of fire. Doesn't mean you drop a hot charcoal down their drawers. Although it would be fun with it, you know. But that symbolizes a burning remorse or God's fiery fiery judgment on them. Again, let God deal with them.

If God burns your riches, you'll know that you better have an attitude adjustment. So, kindness to our enemies, it represents the victory of Jesus Christ over evil. It says, look, I've been delivered from the world. I'm not going to act like the world. You're acting like the world right now. I've been delivered from the world. I have victory. Why don't you come and join us and act like our heavenly father. Act like our savior. Verse 21, be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Resist being consumed by the influence of evil. Right. Guard your hearts against

bitterness or retaliation. Evil always seeks to dominate through anger, despair. So resisting, resisting, don't be overcome by evil. That says reject that magnetic pool of evil to get even. Right. Okay, we're over our time limit. I've got a lot more, but hey, we're at 915. Let's wrap it up. All right. Well, folks, we appreciate you joining us today for our morning manna. I pray that this has been a very practical application of the word of God in your life, as Rick stated earlier. There are people today on this study today that desperately needed to hear. In fact, one of our viewers today, her name is Jan.

And she said, this is a timely word for me today. She's having to go into, as soon as morning manna is over, she has to go into a meeting with a couple of employees in a confrontational situation and that this was a timely word for her in seeking peace and reconciliation. And I'm sure there's probably a dozen other stories like that out there, but when I saw that, her comments on that, I said, well, this, well, Jan, if it's not, if this word isn't for anyone else, it's for you today. But I think it's for everybody. It was for all of us to seek peace in this world of warfare, seek peace. And it's interesting here in this last verse, that word overcome is actually a military

term, a military word. So, you know, in this world of warfare and conflict, Paul uses, you know, overcome evil with good. Don't overcome, you know, the world, try to overcome the world. Conquer, conquer. Yes. But conquer with goodness. Conquer with goodness. And so I challenge everyone today and myself as well. Let's conquer with goodness today. So a couple of remarks. If you can just get through one 24-hour period, then tomorrow do it again. Yes. That's the challenge though, isn't it?
